- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in the stubs. Me true, good to mother.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join joining You gotta use that turn you
- 1:22Speaker 1: you you gotta turn the turnout. Turn you haven't got
- 1:44Speaker 1: the turnout? Then turn the water the water got me?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your thing? Huh, I sure will come
- 2:04Speaker 1: on and everybody, y'all listen to the voice. Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey. Uh how
- 2:11Speaker 1: the radio show yep, yep? Sometimes saw all I can
- 2:18Speaker 1: say yelp, Man, how far I've come is really unbelievable.
- 2:23Speaker 1: But you know I finally figured it out. Man. God
- 2:27Speaker 1: allowed me to have the life I've had so that
- 2:32Speaker 1: I can become experienced at so many different things. And
- 2:37Speaker 1: then this experience when I'm talking and sharing with people,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I will be able to relate to a lot of
- 2:43Speaker 1: different circumstances. Not exact, but just the circumstances. You know.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You know, if a person comes to men, they say, man,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I've been down and out. Okay, Well I know what
- 2:52Speaker 1: that is. Man, I didn't I didn't have any direction. Okay,
- 2:56Speaker 1: got that been there, man at one point time. Man,
- 3:00Speaker 1: I just kept piling mistake on top of mistakes. Okay,
- 3:06Speaker 1: So you know, I think what I'm trying to say
- 3:09Speaker 1: to everybody is when you're going through life and life
- 3:13Speaker 1: is dealing the cards that it deals, I want you
- 3:17Speaker 1: to understand that life deals everybody these cards. The disappointment card,
- 3:23Speaker 1: the setback card, the failure card, the mishap card, the
- 3:30Speaker 1: unexpected misery card. Everybody gonna get, the grief card, everybody
- 3:37Speaker 1: gonna get, the rash of bad decision card, everybody gonna
- 3:40Speaker 1: get them. Understand that going in that everybody is gonna
- 3:47Speaker 1: get these cards. It's how you play them, though, you know,
- 3:54Speaker 1: from time to time, one more time, it's how you
- 3:57Speaker 1: play them, you know, from time to time. When watching TV,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I love to watch the World Series of Poker. I
- 4:04Speaker 1: like watching poker tournaments on TV because it's it's really weird,
- 4:10Speaker 1: what's happened to a sport? To a poker they're actually
- 4:14Speaker 1: trying to call it a sport, you know, And as
- 4:17Speaker 1: the everyday guy that doesn't have to be athletically inclined
- 4:20Speaker 1: to anything, who has a shot of winning a title
- 4:25Speaker 1: if they play their cards right, the best poker players
- 4:29Speaker 1: in the world don't have the best hands. They just
- 4:34Speaker 1: make the best plays. I've seen guys win a hand
- 4:39Speaker 1: with nine two in their hand as nothing and win
- 4:42Speaker 1: the hand because they knew the bluff, they knew the odds,
- 4:47Speaker 1: they calculated risks, they made the stakes higher than the
- 4:52Speaker 1: other person was willing to pay. They gave off the
- 4:55Speaker 1: illusion that they had something with an actuality. They had nothing.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So what I what I enjoy about poker and watching
- 5:04Speaker 1: it is that these people, these people here, played the
- 5:10Speaker 1: hand they dealt and it ain't always a good hand.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But it ain't whether your hand is good, And it
- 5:16Speaker 1: ain't whether you're gonna get dealt bad cards or not.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Because you're gonna get dealt some bad cards. Everybody ain't
- 5:21Speaker 1: fnna get two bullets in their hand. You ain't gonna
- 5:23Speaker 1: get two aces when you get dealt. Uh. You know,
- 5:26Speaker 1: when you play and draw poker, some of your cards
- 5:28Speaker 1: gonna be nothing. But you got to turn that nothing
- 5:31Speaker 1: into something. So when you get dealt these cards in life,
- 5:34Speaker 1: it ain't the fact that you're getting keep getting them dealt.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I was talking with a young person yesterday and we
- 5:40Speaker 1: were talking and we keep having the same conversation over
- 5:43Speaker 1: and over and over, and they could not understand why
- 5:46Speaker 1: they were not moving forward. But I said, you don't understand.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Every time we talk, we have the exact same conversation.
- 5:54Speaker 1: It is simply because you keep getting your cards and
- 5:58Speaker 1: you playing them the same way. See. Until you make
- 6:02Speaker 1: a conscientious different, the conscious decision to do something different,
- 6:07Speaker 1: the results will continue to be the same. See here's
- 6:15Speaker 1: the way this works. When you're dealt to disappointments in life,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it's how you handle the disappointments that determine the outcome
- 6:23Speaker 1: and who you are. Because everybody gonna be disappointment, Everybody
- 6:27Speaker 1: gonna lose a love one, everybody gonna make a bad decision,
- 6:30Speaker 1: everybody gonna end wake up one morning they have done
- 6:32Speaker 1: something they regretted. Everybody gonna get caught at the wrong time,
- 6:37Speaker 1: every everybody gonna make a mistake. It ain't just you.
- 6:41Speaker 1: It's how you play your cards when they get dealt
- 6:43Speaker 1: to you that determine who you are. Na, how do
- 6:46Speaker 1: I play my cards better? First of all, it's a mindset.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Quit looking at everything as just the end when it
- 6:53Speaker 1: happens to you, Oh lord, woe is me? Na, everybody
- 6:58Speaker 1: got your circumstances somewhere. It ain't old woe is me.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It's hold on, man, Okay, let me play this out
- 7:06Speaker 1: to see how God then connected this to something else. See,
- 7:09Speaker 1: as soon as a person have a set back, what's
- 7:11Speaker 1: the first thing A lot of people do. They go
- 7:13Speaker 1: straight negative. I can't see him to get a break.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I can't see them move forward. Hold on, man, do
- 7:18Speaker 1: you realize this could be connected to something? See you
- 7:22Speaker 1: got to understand, man, that this thing is all connected.
- 7:25Speaker 1: That you're not having these mishaps and these spills and
- 7:28Speaker 1: accidents and falls for no reason. It's so you can
- 7:31Speaker 1: become experienced at them. So when he takes you to
- 7:34Speaker 1: the next level, when it happens again, you have no
- 7:37Speaker 1: how and how to handle it. If you keep throwing
- 7:40Speaker 1: yourself off the cliff every time something happened, you're just
- 7:43Speaker 1: gonna be a cliff diver. Man, Stop tripping yourself out.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I was talking to this young person. I kept saying,
- 7:50Speaker 1: and you know what, they tried to tell me. I'm
- 7:52Speaker 1: trying to stay positive. But the people around here, they're
- 7:55Speaker 1: just killing that. Oh. I see. So when you learn
- 7:59Speaker 1: something and you know something, you don't take ownership of it.
- 8:04Speaker 1: You allow other people to come into what you know
- 8:07Speaker 1: and believe and shake it loose from you. I don't
- 8:09Speaker 1: care who you are. You're not doing me like that.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Here's a deal. I have a gift that was given
- 8:14Speaker 1: to me from God. That is the gift of comedy.
- 8:17Speaker 1: That's what I've done. I've made the bulk of my
- 8:19Speaker 1: living on that skill set. Right there. That are comedians
- 8:24Speaker 1: who are supposedly friends of mine, who I've worked with,
- 8:27Speaker 1: who get around in huddles with one another and they say, man,
- 8:30Speaker 1: Steve really ain't funny. I don't see what they'd be
- 8:33Speaker 1: laughing at. He ain't funny to me. He wasn't the
- 8:35Speaker 1: funniest king to me. Excuse me, you're irrelevant in this
- 8:40Speaker 1: conversation because it regardless as to how you feel about me.
- 8:44Speaker 1: That are people think that I'm knocked down kill over funny.
- 8:47Speaker 1: But more importantly, I own the gift that God gave
- 8:51Speaker 1: to me. I take ownership of his blessing. Because you
- 8:55Speaker 1: don't think it's so. You ain't taking that from me.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Stop letting people steal your Stop letting people take what
- 9:02Speaker 1: you're supposed to know. Look, I'm a I'm a I'm
- 9:06Speaker 1: a I'm a kind person at heart. Man, you ain't
- 9:09Speaker 1: nothing now you said if it going, Man, I guess
- 9:11Speaker 1: I ain't what you're tripping for. You are a kind person,
- 9:15Speaker 1: own that take ownership of it. Stop letting things God
- 9:21Speaker 1: has given you be taken away from others. The devil's
- 9:24Speaker 1: a cold player, and he got cold players working for him,
- 9:27Speaker 1: just shaking, just taking stuff from you. You know, I'm
- 9:30Speaker 1: a hard worker. I really am intelligent. You stupid man.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I thought I was a hard worker. Man. They came
- 9:37Speaker 1: in here and said I was stupid. Man, I don't
- 9:38Speaker 1: know what I'm doing wrong. What excuse me? You're a
- 9:42Speaker 1: very bright person. Hey, y'all take ownership. When God gives
- 9:47Speaker 1: you something, blesses you would have gift a talent, a
- 9:49Speaker 1: skill set, a mindset. Own it. Don't let people come
- 9:53Speaker 1: in here and take it from you. Man, Okay, I
- 9:56Speaker 1: probably shouldn't have went that. You're listening to show, ladies
- 10:03Speaker 1: and gentlemen. It's about to go down now how exactly
- 10:09Speaker 1: I haven't decided, But no, this down, it's going off.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's popping, is what it's gonna be. So now that
- 10:21Speaker 1: I've come to a conclusion, this is how I'm gonna
- 10:25Speaker 1: start it. Boom, boom boom boom boom boom boom boom
- 10:37Speaker 1: boom boom boom boom. It wasn't third of September. And
- 10:45Speaker 1: that's how I decided to start it because I'm so
- 10:49Speaker 1: sick for the people online doing the intro acting like
- 10:53Speaker 1: it's too long. That's how we did our songs back then.
- 10:57Speaker 1: If we wanted a two minute intro, we did it
- 10:59Speaker 1: too minute intro. The fact that you don't have time
- 11:03Speaker 1: speed on through your little new music do it making
- 11:06Speaker 1: these ninety second hits and all this helm two minutes
- 11:09Speaker 1: and twenty two seconds records who do that can't even
- 11:13Speaker 1: get into the song. We gotta hear him, learn the song,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and it is over with. Then after that he ass
- 11:18Speaker 1: come with the remnis and we're tired of this. We're
- 11:23Speaker 1: music loving people. Learn how to write a song. Reason
- 11:26Speaker 1: songs are so quick as you ain't got no lyricsbody
- 11:30Speaker 1: want to keep saying this? Now, welcome to the Steve
- 11:34Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. This show is about music, inspiration, uplift, information, humor,
- 11:44Speaker 1: humor me, yeah, but above all else, and that was
- 11:50Speaker 1: my form of human And now if you didn't like
- 11:52Speaker 1: the humor, I understand because it's not funny to everybody,
- 11:55Speaker 1: especially my kids. Oh Daddy, you're so wrong. Shut up,
- 12:04Speaker 1: shut up, Charles ragged ass, make me say tell me
- 12:11Speaker 1: I'm wrong. I'm wrong. I'm gonna deserve I deserve to
- 12:14Speaker 1: be right. I'm wrong. You should have sought how I
- 12:22Speaker 1: felt when they came in and told me you was
- 12:24Speaker 1: coming into this world. I want I should have seen
- 12:28Speaker 1: that day talk about you. I felt wrong, du and
- 12:37Speaker 1: then for the next rest of your life I had
- 12:40Speaker 1: to take care of you. Something looked wrong with that man.
- 12:45Speaker 1: And I'm saying all this because the sixty five I've
- 12:48Speaker 1: decided I want my children to start taking care of
- 12:51Speaker 1: me right now. And I know, damn, when you get
- 12:54Speaker 1: it together. You've had plenty time having birthdays and everything
- 13:00Speaker 1: this time. Now take care of me. Pay me back.
- 13:06Speaker 1: You'll never get it. You'll never get it. My daughter
- 13:09Speaker 1: said she's gonna buy me a car. I said, a car.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Oh car, If you're not many cars, I bought you,
- 13:16Speaker 1: young lady, a car. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Steve. Yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 1: all right, man, here we will. I'll feel better. You
- 13:31Speaker 1: vince it. Yeah, you did all right. Coming up at
- 13:37Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, I think he got
- 13:39Speaker 1: it all off its chest. We'll have the pastors and
- 13:42Speaker 1: church complaints right after this. You're listening. It is time
- 13:48Speaker 1: now the day after Sunday for Reverend Motown and Deacon
- 13:52Speaker 1: Deaf jam with church complaints. We are heal in this
- 13:59Speaker 1: body arius day or recognizete. We gather commentariously as we
- 14:09Speaker 1: benifify all of the things that people have spotified. And
- 14:17Speaker 1: now we grow cruishly, grow cruishly, sit here in ample
- 14:28Speaker 1: temportation of what is to become. Next, ladies and gentlemen,
- 14:35Speaker 1: Deacon death Gym with church complainte Yes, thank you, pastor,
- 14:42Speaker 1: Brother Amos Davis sprayed that stuff in the tarlet that
- 14:47Speaker 1: helps the smell. Apparently it didn't work. The church bathroom
- 14:51Speaker 1: cannot be used for eight weeks. The church wants you
- 14:53Speaker 1: to ban him from using the bathroom and any of
- 14:56Speaker 1: the church for setlatives. That's Brother Amos David's pas. Perfectly
- 15:00Speaker 1: fine with that, Brother Amos. From now on, when you
- 15:03Speaker 1: have to go to the rest room, you have to
- 15:05Speaker 1: walk down to the corner gas station. Now you're gonna
- 15:10Speaker 1: miss a lot of the word, but we will miss
- 15:12Speaker 1: a lot of things too. Ye for an eye. Yeah,
- 15:18Speaker 1: so that's the solution to that downtown you'll be using
- 15:21Speaker 1: the bathroom down at the racetrack. All right, then, hey,
- 15:26Speaker 1: we got this situation here. I live Darius Lennard went
- 15:29Speaker 1: to his senior prime. Now the problem is he in
- 15:32Speaker 1: his date took four choir roads and made a tuck
- 15:35Speaker 1: seed in address out of the material. Now we got
- 15:38Speaker 1: foul members without a road, and sister Joyce wants permission
- 15:42Speaker 1: the hook day behind. That's your cow. I saw these
- 15:47Speaker 1: outfits online that that that girl had amazing talent. I
- 15:53Speaker 1: think we're on to something right here. And seeing us
- 15:56Speaker 1: how the roads is missing from the Senior Citizens squad,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I'm perfectly comfortable with that. They forget what Sunday it
- 16:02Speaker 1: is anyway, and I don't don't even know how rules.
- 16:05Speaker 1: So we're gonna allow the talent to show through as
- 16:08Speaker 1: opposed to the sin. All right, I understand a little
- 16:13Speaker 1: Grayson mercy. Now all right, now as your new past
- 16:16Speaker 1: that we had communion on Sunday, somebody putting lunch meat
- 16:21Speaker 1: on the crackers the fucking union. Some of the members
- 16:24Speaker 1: are asking can we keep that and making permanent from
- 16:27Speaker 1: now on? That's your car. I don't know who did it,
- 16:29Speaker 1: but everybody likes that they put the lunch. This is
- 16:32Speaker 1: not a snack. This is car union. This is not
- 16:38Speaker 1: a snack. We will not be putting lunch meat on them.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And also you're going to stop replacing the Morgen David
- 16:46Speaker 1: Manner Shivish wine with a hard alcohol. It must be
- 16:54Speaker 1: red in color. I don't know who put the gen
- 16:57Speaker 1: in these cups and trying to tell. And this is
- 17:00Speaker 1: something else, but this is a communion, our mushrooms lighting
- 17:06Speaker 1: for the blood and the body. That's right, that's right,
- 17:10Speaker 1: all right. Kyrie Irvin is asking for our prayer beyond
- 17:16Speaker 1: our prayer list. But of course he won'ts us only
- 17:19Speaker 1: on certain days. That's that's your called path. We're not
- 17:23Speaker 1: doing anything for Kyrie Irving. Kyrie has obviously he's going
- 17:29Speaker 1: through some things, and I've learned to be more politically
- 17:32Speaker 1: correcting my answers and responses. I think we are dealing
- 17:37Speaker 1: with someone with mist mental concerns, so therefore we are
- 17:43Speaker 1: not at liberty to make derogatory remarks about anybody that
- 17:49Speaker 1: has a mental concern and we are all concerned about
- 17:54Speaker 1: him mentally. Yes we are, Yes we are. Nah, I'm
- 17:58Speaker 1: moving along. I don't think you realized this. I didn't.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I didn't play it for you. But Attorney Benjamin Crump
- 18:06Speaker 1: joined the church virtually be a zoom and uh here
- 18:11Speaker 1: is his testimony passed that this is what he had?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Is it all? It's all okay? First of all, given
- 18:22Speaker 1: all the to God. Pass the Moretown Deacon death jam
- 18:26Speaker 1: at Christian Friends. It's a pleasure to join to Jack
- 18:29Speaker 1: Potter Jerusalem because I need a church home. When when
- 18:34Speaker 1: you marching for justice like I do you need a
- 18:37Speaker 1: church home? When when when you fight Meed White Foss
- 18:41Speaker 1: ever single day you need a church home? When? When?
- 18:45Speaker 1: When when you and nobody has passed up motes shoot
- 18:49Speaker 1: that I have? You need a touch home? Thank you,
- 18:54Speaker 1: oh ALTERNI or Alternate Crump? Is he live on zoo
- 19:02Speaker 1: or or turning Crump? Yes? Past the motown. U. We
- 19:08Speaker 1: want to thank you for your service to the black community,
- 19:13Speaker 1: but we don't want this over here on a regular basis.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We got the wird to teach and we don't have
- 19:20Speaker 1: a church or people that like protesting. So why why
- 19:24Speaker 1: did you pick our church? I'm tired. I'm tired. Past
- 19:29Speaker 1: the motown. I'm getting called all time of the night.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I got a case going on right now, and sister
- 19:40Speaker 1: Marshall over recipes for chicken. I don't know about ow
- 19:43Speaker 1: the turning. Thank you so much. Listen, we're gonna I'll
- 19:50Speaker 1: tell you what we'll do. You come here and want
- 19:52Speaker 1: some morth okay, just cut once to the morth you
- 19:56Speaker 1: just want. We can't hear them in here every Sunday, sister,
- 19:59Speaker 1: there's too much stress he brings in all these that
- 20:01Speaker 1: look at him holding head. We don't need hills here
- 20:05Speaker 1: we were he worked hard in though here we have.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I can't save everybody. I'm not gonna do it. I'm
- 20:10Speaker 1: talking y'all can't help get picked up. I'm trying to
- 20:14Speaker 1: help us too. We don't need all that protesting down here.
- 20:18Speaker 1: That ain't the type of church were all these cameras
- 20:21Speaker 1: in Preston Hill next thing you know, we have Jess
- 20:24Speaker 1: and our shop him down here. We don't need all
- 20:26Speaker 1: that all eyes on me. We don't need that too.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Al Turning, crump or do the
- 20:33Speaker 1: best you can. Hell continue the good fight, all right,
- 20:39Speaker 1: thank you. Pastor Motown Dicon death Cham and special guests,
- 20:42Speaker 1: Attorney Benjamin Crop, the chief Love officers apologize for not
- 20:49Speaker 1: being funny at all this moment so much. My apologies
- 20:56Speaker 1: you're listening. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:01Speaker 1: In entertainment news, President Biden had a few jokes at
- 21:05Speaker 1: the White House Correspondence dinner. Ellen DeGeneres taped her final
- 21:09Speaker 1: show and bid us all farewell. Nephew, I know that's
- 21:12Speaker 1: your girl. You'd love her so And as celebration of
- 21:16Speaker 1: life was held for the late fashion icon Andre Leon tally.
- 21:20Speaker 1: We'll talk about all these stories at the top of
- 21:21Speaker 1: the hour, but right now it is time for ask
- 21:24Speaker 1: the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey reporting for duty.
- 21:29Speaker 1: All right, Carmen and Toledo writes, I am a thirty
- 21:32Speaker 1: eight year old single woman, and I've got two men
- 21:35Speaker 1: that got into a fist fight over me after telling
- 21:38Speaker 1: me that I'm giving mic signals. Just because I'm sleeping
- 21:42Speaker 1: with them both doesn't mean I want to be with
- 21:44Speaker 1: either one of them. Why can't they get it? Wow?
- 21:49Speaker 1: So let me ask you a question, sister, Carmen, would
- 21:52Speaker 1: you get it if somebody you were sleeping was sleeping
- 21:55Speaker 1: with two women, would you get it? Sounds like she would. Well,
- 22:01Speaker 1: they don't. They don't get it. They're not gonna get
- 22:05Speaker 1: it because they thought it was dead. You know. Now,
- 22:08Speaker 1: have you told them that you're sleeping with the beach
- 22:11Speaker 1: one of them? Or did they stumble across this information? See,
- 22:15Speaker 1: that's that's the key. If you tell me that's what
- 22:17Speaker 1: you're doing. The include got it, no problem? Watch this.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Well both of them told her that she was giving
- 22:23Speaker 1: mixed signals. Well, she probably is, because you know, when
- 22:27Speaker 1: you're in the act, you get those signals. It's all yours.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You know, you you hauling my name, see making me
- 22:34Speaker 1: think it's mine? You know hers, No, you ain't here,
- 22:38Speaker 1: Tom Steve and Tommy. You know you ain't said that
- 22:45Speaker 1: anybody saying that. Yeah, all right, Carmen, I don't know
- 22:50Speaker 1: what to takes a dangerous game, though, all right, John
- 22:53Speaker 1: to Henry and Birmingham. Henry says, I'm a retired divorced
- 22:57Speaker 1: grandfather and I'm trying to date. But my daughter thinks
- 23:00Speaker 1: I'm lonely, and she left her fourteen and twelve year
- 23:02Speaker 1: old at my house one Friday evening. I had a date,
- 23:05Speaker 1: so I left them for three hours. Yeah. My daughter
- 23:10Speaker 1: got so mad though, Clo that she has not let
- 23:14Speaker 1: them visit. Shouldn't I be mad at her? For dumping
- 23:17Speaker 1: them off on me. Yeah, you should, you should. But
- 23:20Speaker 1: she's still not gonna bring them by that at No, him,
- 23:23Speaker 1: you do understand that she's not bringing them by that.
- 23:25Speaker 1: No damn mow. Yeah. Now she shouldn't have just dropped
- 23:29Speaker 1: him off. She thank you lonely. You ain't you trying
- 23:31Speaker 1: to date? Now problem solved. She won't bring them by
- 23:35Speaker 1: and you free to date. But he wants to see
- 23:38Speaker 1: his grandkids. Well, you're gonna have to go over that, dude.
- 23:41Speaker 1: You're gonna have to go over there. You retire, you
- 23:44Speaker 1: got time, You're gonna have to go over there. Well,
- 23:46Speaker 1: she should have asked him first, don't you think before
- 23:49Speaker 1: she just dropped Absolutely, she should have. But he got
- 23:52Speaker 1: to go. Now, how were the kids again? Twelve and fourteen? Yeah?
- 23:56Speaker 1: You stay your ass at the house by yourself for
- 23:58Speaker 1: four hours, for three hours or fourteen year old? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 24:05Speaker 1: you can stay in the house by yourself. You do that, Hunt,
- 24:08Speaker 1: they can all right. Moving on to Carol and Alburquerque,
- 24:12Speaker 1: Carol writes, I'm in a singing group and I'm having
- 24:15Speaker 1: sex with our road manager. I am falling for this guy,
- 24:18Speaker 1: and I know for a fact that his wife is
- 24:21Speaker 1: cheating on him. I want to be honest with him,
- 24:24Speaker 1: but I'm afraid it will backfire. What do I do
- 24:26Speaker 1: in this situation? Well, first of all, a singing group
- 24:30Speaker 1: in Alburquerque, you're pretty much free to do whatever you
- 24:33Speaker 1: want to do. That you ain't got a chance of
- 24:35Speaker 1: coming out of it. I ain't never heard of a
- 24:38Speaker 1: hit coming out of Albuquerque. Whatever you down there doing,
- 24:42Speaker 1: just keep on doing it. The fact that you in
- 24:44Speaker 1: a band should have been the last thing you typed
- 24:47Speaker 1: into this. Even what band you didn't heard of coming
- 24:52Speaker 1: out of Albuquerque in New Mexico. So there I don't. Well,
- 24:57Speaker 1: you got time to sleep with the woman's husband, and
- 25:00Speaker 1: she got tired for all this here because you you
- 25:02Speaker 1: ain't down there making hits. That's for damn. That's not
- 25:07Speaker 1: what she wants. What I want to know is how
- 25:10Speaker 1: you the road in you're in the band and Alburquerque
- 25:17Speaker 1: does not. That's not the point because she got well,
- 25:19Speaker 1: first of all, she ain't got to worry about her career.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It's what I'm getting that. So this ain't a career
- 25:25Speaker 1: buster because there ain't no hits coming out of Alburquerque.
- 25:29Speaker 1: This ain't dating where slave even on how players and
- 25:33Speaker 1: Roger Tropman came out of there. This ain't silly where
- 25:36Speaker 1: Patty LaBelle and Man's come out of her day? What
- 25:39Speaker 1: this is? This ain't Atlanta Usher, Germine Deprie, This ain't
- 25:44Speaker 1: Detroit Motown. You're an Alburquerque, New Mexico. Should she tell
- 25:50Speaker 1: this man that his wife is cheating on him? That's
- 25:53Speaker 1: what she wants to know. I want to know what
- 25:58Speaker 1: music they're making in our because why is there a band?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Why had she even mention this coming out of Avoca?
- 26:10Speaker 1: I can't get past what is the name? What Ladies
- 26:17Speaker 1: and gentlemen, please welcome from Albercuting, New Mexico the Hot
- 26:23Speaker 1: Tamanus Yeah featuring Writing to Steve Harvey Morning Show, Rita, Carol,
- 26:44Speaker 1: do you have no advice for her? She ain't sleeping
- 26:46Speaker 1: with a married road manager. She wants to know should
- 26:50Speaker 1: she tell him that his wife is cheating on him?
- 26:52Speaker 1: Because obviously she wants the road manager to herself because
- 26:55Speaker 1: she's falling for him. Happen? What I think was they
- 27:02Speaker 1: had a gig. I knew it down at this place
- 27:08Speaker 1: called the hat Cienda, and was performing at the hat
- 27:14Speaker 1: si Ender, and she saw the road manager's wife in
- 27:21Speaker 1: the bathroom, and she came out of the bathroom, she
- 27:25Speaker 1: looked under the stall and saw one set of cowboy
- 27:28Speaker 1: boots and saw sam Brero on the ground next to it.
- 27:34Speaker 1: And when she came out that booth, she didn't have
- 27:36Speaker 1: on that hat. That's all I'm saying. And ha Sienda
- 27:42Speaker 1: is on the north side of or Albuquerque. They had
- 27:48Speaker 1: done that by the mountains. Because it's only two clubs.
- 27:51Speaker 1: And there's the hat Cienda and the Not So Hot Cider. Yeah,
- 27:58Speaker 1: all right, fielders in now. And there's two brothers that
- 28:08Speaker 1: don't own the clubs, and the and the and the
- 28:11Speaker 1: first brother opened up the hat Cienda with him and
- 28:14Speaker 1: his brothers his enemies, and his brother opened up a
- 28:16Speaker 1: not So hoti Ender you know. So yeah talk, Yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 1: it's a whole thing. You're gonna help Carol at all. No,
- 28:27Speaker 1: Kellen got the real problem, real problem is that she came.
- 28:30Speaker 1: She came't perform at both them clubs. That's the bigg
- 28:36Speaker 1: problem her group. Yeah, And so now they got there,
- 28:39Speaker 1: they're gonna have to venture down over the Santa Fans
- 28:42Speaker 1: see if they can get into that shope. Two clubs
- 28:48Speaker 1: down there to Molly and the Hot to Molly don't
- 28:52Speaker 1: two clubs down now, it's a folk club circuit. Huge, huge,
- 28:58Speaker 1: Sorry Carol, all right, thanko. Coming up at the top
- 29:01Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll have some entertainment news for you
- 29:04Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Stry Morning Show. Trevor
- 29:10Speaker 1: Noah headlined the White House Correspondence Association Dinner on Saturday night,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and President Biden cracked jokes before more than two thousand
- 29:18Speaker 1: guests as DC's biggest annual party returned after two years
- 29:22Speaker 1: of COVID nineteen restrictions. Now, as the President took the stage,
- 29:27Speaker 1: he said, special thanks to the forty two percent of
- 29:29Speaker 1: you that actually apployed it. Okay, so it wasn't a
- 29:33Speaker 1: lot of people. That was what less than half the
- 29:35Speaker 1: room applauded for him. He was saying, well, it sounds
- 29:39Speaker 1: like maybe he was a little bit and then his
- 29:41Speaker 1: approval rating, of course, is not that high. So the
- 29:45Speaker 1: President was on a roll with the jokes and continued
- 29:48Speaker 1: with this is the first time the president has attended
- 29:51Speaker 1: this dinner in six years. It's understandable we had a
- 29:54Speaker 1: horrible plague followed by two years of COVID. In an
- 29:58Speaker 1: apparent reference to Donald tru Yeah, Donald Trump before. It's
- 30:05Speaker 1: never attended the dinner while he was in office. The
- 30:10Speaker 1: Black Tight Dinner, of course, is for reporters, officials, and celebrities.
- 30:14Speaker 1: It was held at the Washington Hilton. It was three
- 30:17Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars per plate. Okay, what's on that?
- 30:21Speaker 1: What's on that plate? I don't know, Probably chicken, just
- 30:26Speaker 1: like by myself. I can't take everybody, Steve, you seven
- 30:32Speaker 1: hundred dollars. They've never asked me to do nothing like that.
- 30:35Speaker 1: They don't asked me to do that. Oh, I don't
- 30:38Speaker 1: have that type of humor. I don't have a type
- 30:42Speaker 1: of humor. No, let me do that. No him, No,
- 30:45Speaker 1: they've never even asked me. Who you asked? You do
- 30:49Speaker 1: it with our cousin. See, that gonna be part of
- 30:52Speaker 1: the problem right there. You'll be calling out the senators.
- 30:55Speaker 1: You know, I'm I'm gonna use your name and stuff, Hanna,
- 30:57Speaker 1: They're gonna be any you know. Never went. That's because
- 31:02Speaker 1: he couldn't take the criticism. He couldn't take the jokes
- 31:06Speaker 1: that bully that's why. Yeah, Yeah, he couldn't take it.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Didn't he go one time? And President Obama laid his answer, Yeah, yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 1: but I don't think he was president. Yeah, he was
- 31:19Speaker 1: in president then he never went wild, you know. Yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 1: President Obama was a was a g at his dinnist
- 31:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, certificate yeah, yeah, he was ready, he practiced,
- 31:34Speaker 1: he did it timing. He actually had timing. I just
- 31:38Speaker 1: don't see timing with timing. Yeah, Joe Biden just up
- 31:43Speaker 1: there reading the jokes. Somebody wrote that. Somebody else wrote, well,
- 31:49Speaker 1: to be funny. When he looked like you ain't gonna
- 31:51Speaker 1: make it, this is why he didn't ask you. Yeah,
- 31:58Speaker 1: nobody think that was fun Yeah, you might be right, Steve.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I like it when you sensor yourself. After nineteen seasons,
- 32:09Speaker 1: Daytime TV legend Ellen Degenerous took her final bow as
- 32:13Speaker 1: host of The Ellen Degenerous Show. She did that I know, yeah, yeah, yes,
- 32:18Speaker 1: your baby Tommy yep, yep, yep, yep. April twenty eighth,
- 32:22Speaker 1: she taped her final episode. Ellen reflected on the moment
- 32:25Speaker 1: with a sentimental nod to the past. She said, when
- 32:28Speaker 1: we started this show back in two thousand and three,
- 32:30Speaker 1: the iPod didn't exist, social media didn't exist, gay marriage
- 32:35Speaker 1: wasn't legal. Yeah, Ellen said, we watched the world change,
- 32:40Speaker 1: sometimes for the better, sometimes not, but whatever was happening,
- 32:44Speaker 1: my goal was always for the show to be a
- 32:47Speaker 1: place where we could all come together and laugh for
- 32:50Speaker 1: an hour. Ellen ended her message with gratitude for her fans.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Being invited into your life, she said, has been the
- 32:57Speaker 1: greatest privilege of my life and has brought me incredible joy.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Thank you, thanks so surely. So what was it here
- 33:03Speaker 1: when she started the show again? iPhone didn't exist? Um,
- 33:08Speaker 1: social media? Social media back in two thousand and three
- 33:10Speaker 1: did not exist, but she said, the iPhone did not
- 33:16Speaker 1: exist in two thousand and three. How much money is
- 33:19Speaker 1: she did made? Though? Is that where we're going with it?
- 33:24Speaker 1: Did you? Did you? How much money? Hundreds hundreds of millions? Millions, trillions, no,
- 33:32Speaker 1: hundreds of millions. Wow, But she had the show, she
- 33:39Speaker 1: had her game show, she has the game show was nothing, no, no,
- 33:42Speaker 1: no products. Huh. I think Ellen made more money on
- 33:49Speaker 1: her social platform than she did on her TV show.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Oh okay, oh wow. Ellen DeGeneres was absolutely brilliant at business.
- 34:00Speaker 1: And I'll say it again. I've done the show a
- 34:03Speaker 1: bunch of times. I've never never, in all of my
- 34:08Speaker 1: TV career, been around a kind of person in television.
- 34:13Speaker 1: I don't care what I've done, every show that I've done,
- 34:16Speaker 1: all the talk shows, all the late night shows, all
- 34:19Speaker 1: the daytime shows. I've never met a kind of person
- 34:23Speaker 1: that Ellen DeGeneres, whose one aim was to make people
- 34:26Speaker 1: feel good. If you did a pre if you did
- 34:30Speaker 1: your pre interview and you said something that might not
- 34:33Speaker 1: be nice, it was taken out. Wow. Well, her whole
- 34:39Speaker 1: thing was be kind to one another. She said that
- 34:41Speaker 1: at the end of a I didn't care for that,
- 34:43Speaker 1: But you know, what do you mean A bunch of jokes?
- 34:50Speaker 1: Be kind to another, to everybody? Now, Ellen, some of
- 34:55Speaker 1: these we got to do some of these jokes now
- 35:00Speaker 1: every everybody and everybody don't get kindness from me. We
- 35:04Speaker 1: got to do some of these jokes now. And I
- 35:07Speaker 1: can't come on here every week and do jokes about
- 35:10Speaker 1: puppies and and and and snowstorms. I got how many
- 35:14Speaker 1: jokes got to be about people? She did a lot
- 35:17Speaker 1: of giving back boy philanthropy words. She did a lot.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I mean, you cry, you would cry watching the Ellen
- 35:25Speaker 1: show how much she just gave away money and cars.
- 35:29Speaker 1: And I've never cried watching the show myself personally, But
- 35:33Speaker 1: what is wrong with you? You know, it's something wrong
- 35:35Speaker 1: with you. I just reason today. All right, We're moving on.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, Tommy is
- 35:44Speaker 1: something on his mind. We'll find out what that is
- 35:47Speaker 1: right after this. It's not an iPad. You're listening show,
- 35:53Speaker 1: all right, Tommy? What is on your mind this morning?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Is always something on your mind? What is it? Just something?
- 36:00Speaker 1: I need to talk to the headman in charge? All right?
- 36:03Speaker 1: So I got two TV shows, all right. I'm in
- 36:06Speaker 1: production on one. I'm gonna be in production on another
- 36:08Speaker 1: one in the next few weeks now and and but
- 36:13Speaker 1: now I actually have a show that is my own
- 36:17Speaker 1: that I want to go pitch, and I don't know
- 36:21Speaker 1: the route to take. Who do I take my show too?
- 36:24Speaker 1: Is it better for me to take it to the
- 36:26Speaker 1: network that I am actually owned? And the big question
- 36:29Speaker 1: is can I say that it's also being executive produced
- 36:33Speaker 1: by Steve Hardy see that way a lot of he
- 36:36Speaker 1: has turned. I get my show picked up immediately when
- 36:38Speaker 1: I get that when I go in there, which you
- 36:41Speaker 1: two things. First of all, congratulations. Secondly, I will ep
- 36:47Speaker 1: the show with you, all right. Thirdly, you have to
- 36:50Speaker 1: take it to the people you are on TV with first, Okay,
- 36:54Speaker 1: and give them a first rite of refusal. Only problem
- 36:58Speaker 1: you have is if you have not wiped out the
- 37:02Speaker 1: exclusivity clause in your contract, you may not be able
- 37:07Speaker 1: to go elsewhere and do a show. So you have
- 37:11Speaker 1: to check your exclusivity clause. Now what I do in
- 37:14Speaker 1: all my shows before I do anything, after I negotiate it,
- 37:19Speaker 1: I go to and find the exclusivity clause and have
- 37:22Speaker 1: it removed. Oh, I get fought on every last one
- 37:25Speaker 1: of them. But as you can see, I have been
- 37:28Speaker 1: on ABC, NBC, I've done Foxes, New Year's Eve. You
- 37:33Speaker 1: know I'm back on ABC again. Family feuds on everything
- 37:38Speaker 1: every station. So I've take those exclusivity clauses out. That's
- 37:43Speaker 1: what you want to consider that, But open them are
- 37:46Speaker 1: really really fair over there at own and if you
- 37:48Speaker 1: have another opportunity, I don't see them blocking you from
- 37:51Speaker 1: doing it. It cannot be, you know, it just can't
- 37:53Speaker 1: be in the same genre. It can't do a dating
- 37:55Speaker 1: show nowhere close other than it's on tape. Did you
- 38:00Speaker 1: hit did you call absolutely congratulations? Tell you what money?
- 38:13Speaker 1: It's just eight? Yeah? Why you look off though? Why
- 38:21Speaker 1: did you just start looking hat your show? You want?
- 38:27Speaker 1: You want the name or not. How you gonna pay
- 38:31Speaker 1: your staff? He got hated, He got twenty Twenty percent
- 38:37Speaker 1: is production calls. Every show gets twenty percent production feed.
- 38:41Speaker 1: So if the show costs twenty million to produce a year,
- 38:44Speaker 1: you get twenty percent, You get four million. You get
- 38:47Speaker 1: four million to produce it, and then you pay your
- 38:50Speaker 1: staff out of that and you you need a cheap,
- 38:54Speaker 1: cheaper All right, We haven't move on. You guys work
- 38:58Speaker 1: it out. Calling up in Albuquerque. Coming up in thirty
- 39:04Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour, Van Jones says, the lives
- 39:07Speaker 1: of black people have gotten worse under Biden. We'll talk
- 39:10Speaker 1: about that right after this. You're listening to this Dave
- 39:14Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. On Friday, CNN political commentator Van Jones
- 39:20Speaker 1: appeared on CNN's New Day with co host John Berman,
- 39:24Speaker 1: and Jones declared that the daily lives of black Americans
- 39:27Speaker 1: have gotten worse under President Joe Biden, and disappointment is
- 39:31Speaker 1: beginning to set in. Take a listen. Day to day
- 39:33Speaker 1: reality for black folks hasn't improved, in fact, because of
- 39:36Speaker 1: inflation and other things, gotten worse, and so you're starting
- 39:39Speaker 1: to see that disappointment factor setting. Do you think it
- 39:41Speaker 1: will change the voting patterns. Well, listen, I think I
- 39:43Speaker 1: think that it may well. Also, don't forget you have
- 39:46Speaker 1: had a concerted effort on the part of conservatives to
- 39:49Speaker 1: recast Republican Party as a party of the multiracial working class.
- 39:53Speaker 1: And my question to Van Jones is how has the Republicans.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I've been watching these ads on TV here in Georgia,
- 40:02Speaker 1: and I don't see how they're making it a more
- 40:06Speaker 1: friendly thing. They got Donald Trump endorsing the new guy
- 40:10Speaker 1: that's running for governor, right, and in the back of
- 40:15Speaker 1: Donald Trump is the blacks for Trump's T shirts. And
- 40:20Speaker 1: what they've done is they put that same black dude
- 40:23Speaker 1: on that that they end up taking out, the black
- 40:25Speaker 1: dude with the ponytail that was in all them groups
- 40:28Speaker 1: and stuff and had been arrested and as a criminal
- 40:31Speaker 1: record and was up for murdering all like that. They
- 40:34Speaker 1: finally caught on to who he was and took him out.
- 40:36Speaker 1: But in the ads he's back in all of these
- 40:39Speaker 1: Trump ads when Trump comes on to support a certain candidate.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I've noticed that I just don't understand what the Republicans
- 40:47Speaker 1: are doing to include when the Republicans are behind this
- 40:51Speaker 1: hypocrisy of a stolen election. They are still running that.
- 40:56Speaker 1: That's part of their campaign messaging, and that's steel part
- 41:00Speaker 1: of Donald's Trump. I don't see how supporting a party
- 41:04Speaker 1: that has this false claim that the election was stolen,
- 41:08Speaker 1: how that's gonna help black people. I don't see Republicans
- 41:11Speaker 1: doing nothing to help black people or include them in
- 41:13Speaker 1: the party. Yeah, and voting making it very hard for
- 41:17Speaker 1: us to vote to suppression is the biggest Yeah, absolutely man.
- 41:24Speaker 1: A Gallop poll released earlier this month gave Biden an
- 41:26Speaker 1: approval of sixty seven percent among Black adults, which was
- 41:30Speaker 1: a drop of twenty percent since he entered the White House.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Beyond the economics, black voters who supported Biden and the
- 41:36Speaker 1: Democratic Party during the twenty twenty election feel they haven't
- 41:39Speaker 1: gotten anything in return, Jones said, blasting the administration for
- 41:43Speaker 1: having overpromised and under delivered, failing to move significant legislation
- 41:49Speaker 1: through the Senate. All Right, I wasn't Van Jones the
- 41:52Speaker 1: ones that the one that was crying when Joe Biden
- 41:55Speaker 1: won the election in twenty twenty on CNN. Oh, you know,
- 42:01Speaker 1: cheering for Joe Biden or being overjoyed that there is
- 42:04Speaker 1: no Maredonald Trump. I think can be played in the
- 42:07Speaker 1: same sentence. Yeah. I think the joy for us was
- 42:12Speaker 1: we knew that our vote turned back the worst for
- 42:16Speaker 1: a year period of our lives in the presidency because
- 42:20Speaker 1: he was just so so obnoxious. Now, I do know
- 42:25Speaker 1: one thing, though. Have you noticed that you don't watch
- 42:28Speaker 1: as much news anymore since Trump has been gone off?
- 42:33Speaker 1: I mean I needed a break, really because I was
- 42:36Speaker 1: too much CID do today. I mean, man, it was crazy.
- 42:42Speaker 1: It was a crazy way to live for four years. Yea,
- 42:45Speaker 1: And he is correct. The ratings have gone down because
- 42:49Speaker 1: he is in president because this dude was just so
- 42:53Speaker 1: unbelievable as president. I went in and said, what did
- 42:55Speaker 1: he do today? And that was a tough way to live.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Everybody know what has happened, but I just do not.
- 43:05Speaker 1: I do not understand this narrative that so many Republicans
- 43:10Speaker 1: have been into talking about this was a stolen election
- 43:13Speaker 1: and they know, good in hair, well it wasn't. Well
- 43:16Speaker 1: if you people start to believe it, you know, it's
- 43:21Speaker 1: amazing what they've done. Man. But the sad part is
- 43:25Speaker 1: so many tens of millions of Americans are going along
- 43:29Speaker 1: with it, and now with Van Jones saying stuff like this.
- 43:33Speaker 1: When it's time for reelection. Who ain't gonna put in
- 43:38Speaker 1: that man? Who? Yeah? Yeah, that's why we have to
- 43:42Speaker 1: constantly vote. That's that way the president can over promise
- 43:48Speaker 1: and get stuff done and pass through the Senate. It's
- 43:51Speaker 1: not because he can't make the Senate voting. We don't
- 43:53Speaker 1: control it exactly. We have to vote, and you know that,
- 43:58Speaker 1: no matter how hard they try to make for we

- 45:06Speaker 1: You actually came in, uh maybe like two and a
- 45:09Speaker 1: half weeks to go here to my office and got
- 45:10Speaker 1: a physical for for life insurance. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right
- 45:14Speaker 1: right yeah, everything okay? Well yeah, yeah, everything's gonna be
- 45:17Speaker 1: pretty good. I'd like to see if I can get
- 45:19Speaker 1: you to come in and I you know, everything's gonna
- 45:22Speaker 1: be fine, but I got a small procedure we'd like
- 45:24Speaker 1: to do to actually, uh you know right now, you're
- 45:27Speaker 1: not a proof for your life insurance to do until
- 45:29Speaker 1: this procedure has done. So if you don't mind coming in,
- 45:32Speaker 1: we we'd like to get you jaking care of. When
- 45:35Speaker 1: can I schedule you to come in like maybe tomorrow
- 45:38Speaker 1: or the following day? Yeah? What what kind of procedures? Well? Actually,
- 45:42Speaker 1: I don't know if you've heard of it. This is
- 45:43Speaker 1: an okayosh for me. No, I got something. What's that's
- 45:47Speaker 1: I'm doing my eyes? What's that? So it's something? Dude?
- 45:50Speaker 1: You wasn't now that I'm doing my eyes? I ain't heard.
- 45:52Speaker 1: What's what's that? No? No, okayost for me has nothing
- 45:55Speaker 1: to do with the eyes, No, nothing at all. We
- 45:58Speaker 1: found a little bit of parasites in a particular area,
- 46:01Speaker 1: and what we want to do is make sure we
- 46:03Speaker 1: just remove it completely and you'll be fine. You'll get
- 46:06Speaker 1: your life insurance, you're and your family will be great.
- 46:09Speaker 1: So can I get you to come in tomorrow maybe
- 46:11Speaker 1: Thursday afternoon? And what what area? I found the parasite
- 46:15Speaker 1: and actually one of your testicles has some parasites. So
- 46:19Speaker 1: what we're gonna do is what's called a okayoshtrumy and
- 46:22Speaker 1: okayoshtrim me is actually removing that testicle completely and then
- 46:26Speaker 1: everything gonna be fine. It's all confined and we'll be
- 46:29Speaker 1: able to remove it. You'll be on your way, you'll
- 46:31Speaker 1: get your life insurance and everything will be fine. Okay,
- 46:33Speaker 1: Like I said, can I get can I? Can I
- 46:35Speaker 1: get you to come in tomorrow? What my testicle? Well
- 46:40Speaker 1: only one, only one and it's not going to take long.
- 46:42Speaker 1: It's a thirty minute procedure. But we want to get
- 46:45Speaker 1: you to come in tomorrow or the next day and
- 46:47Speaker 1: we get you to what are you available? I will
- 46:52Speaker 1: remove it s you know what, Oftentimes when people come
- 46:55Speaker 1: in for life insurance, these type of things happen. So
- 46:58Speaker 1: we want to get you in and get it out
- 47:00Speaker 1: as quickly as possible. Man, Nah Man, I wasn't for
- 47:03Speaker 1: a routine physical. Maybe I wasn't supposed to be taking

- 48:26Speaker 1: supposed to tell my wife. Man, this this ain't cool. Man.
- 48:28Speaker 1: I ain't going in for that. Man. I'm rescheduling it. Man,
- 48:30Speaker 1: you're rescheduling. What do you mean you're rescheduling? Sir? What
- 48:33Speaker 1: we're getting? I'm getting another opinion. I ain't going in

- 48:37Speaker 1: big baller shot caller. You know, man, what what is
- 48:40Speaker 1: your name? Are? You're supposed to be a doctor. You're
- 48:42Speaker 1: making little jokes, man, Ain't you're doing a little play
- 48:44Speaker 1: on words. Man, it ain't even funny. Man, I'm calling
- 48:46Speaker 1: it insurance on it something they get me? Doctor. You

- 49:59Speaker 1: let me make your I'm saying something clearly here. It's

- 50:06Speaker 1: and extract the problem. You're leaning towards me having to

- 50:55Speaker 1: I gotta extract it from you. You try to tell
- 50:57Speaker 1: me I'm gonna why you know, I'm gonna come. Fine,

- 55:40Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject. I'm married to a messy mitch.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a wife, mother, and businesswoman. I
- 55:48Speaker 1: have known my husband for thirteen years and we've been
- 55:51Speaker 1: married for ten years. In the beginning, he was a
- 55:54Speaker 1: popular one and I was a wallflower. He would walk
- 55:57Speaker 1: into a room and everyone was dying to talk to him.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Now that the tables have turned, he's become messy, and
- 56:04Speaker 1: he starts mess in our family and amongst his friends.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I can't say that he's a gossiper because everything he
- 56:10Speaker 1: says is true, but he just shouldn't repeat what I
- 56:13Speaker 1: tell him. Things took a shift in our relationship when
- 56:16Speaker 1: he made some bad business decisions and a few of
- 56:19Speaker 1: our friends were involved, which caused them to lose a
- 56:23Speaker 1: lot of money. We lost money as well. At the time,
- 56:26Speaker 1: I got a promotion at work and I was able
- 56:29Speaker 1: to step in and get us back on track financially
- 56:32Speaker 1: while he served six months on house arrest. There were
- 56:36Speaker 1: four couples involved in his downfall, and only two of
- 56:39Speaker 1: the guys involved have forgiven him and are working on
- 56:42Speaker 1: rebuilding a friendship with him. I may be wrong for
- 56:45Speaker 1: going behind his back and talking to them on his behalf,
- 56:49Speaker 1: but I didn't want to see him depressed, broke, and friendless.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I told my husband exactly how they felt and how
- 56:55Speaker 1: they really didn't want to be around him, but they
- 56:58Speaker 1: give it a try. We had a small party for
- 57:02Speaker 1: my fortieth birthday and the friends group came the couples
- 57:06Speaker 1: talk to each other and kind of shunned my husband,
- 57:09Speaker 1: so he felt some kind of way because it was
- 57:11Speaker 1: at our house. He went off on them and said
- 57:14Speaker 1: everything I had told him, word for word. He's a
- 57:17Speaker 1: messy mitch and he thinks it's okay to talk crazy
- 57:21Speaker 1: to these people. He told my sister some things I
- 57:24Speaker 1: said about her, and now we're not talking. I can't
- 57:27Speaker 1: if I can't confide to my husband, is our marriage over? Well?
- 57:33Speaker 1: I don't necessarily think your marriage is over. No, I
- 57:36Speaker 1: don't think that. I think you did leave a whole
- 57:39Speaker 1: lot of stuff out of this letter. What did your
- 57:42Speaker 1: husband do? You didn't tell us that? And by the way,
- 57:45Speaker 1: please stop talking. Just stop talking right now. Your husband
- 57:48Speaker 1: can hold other people's money, obviously, and he can't hold water.
- 57:52Speaker 1: He keeps telling people what you said. He's supposed to
- 57:55Speaker 1: keep that private. Everyone in this letter is messy, and
- 57:59Speaker 1: your husband is the worst. You left out exactly what
- 58:02Speaker 1: he did, like I said, but it has to be
- 58:04Speaker 1: something pretty bad because he had to do six months
- 58:08Speaker 1: of house arrest. The thing is he doesn't seem to
- 58:11Speaker 1: have learned his lesson. That's the thing. He's still being
- 58:15Speaker 1: a mess after whatever he did with his friends money.
- 58:19Speaker 1: But I guess it's hard to go from being the
- 58:21Speaker 1: man like you said, when he walked in a room,
- 58:23Speaker 1: everybody was just clamoring to talk to him, and now
- 58:27Speaker 1: you know they ignore him or shun him, even in
- 58:29Speaker 1: his own house. So that's got to be a blow
- 58:32Speaker 1: to his ego and everything. And I say he didn't
- 58:35Speaker 1: learn humility during his house arrest. He needs to be
- 58:38Speaker 1: trying to figure out how to pay these people back
- 58:40Speaker 1: his money and to get his friends back, but they
- 58:43Speaker 1: still might not want to be his friends because too
- 58:47Speaker 1: much damage has already been done. I don't think your
- 58:49Speaker 1: marriage is over to answer your question, but it is
- 58:52Speaker 1: in trouble right now because your husband can't seem to
- 58:55Speaker 1: get it together. He's all over the place. He's all
- 58:58Speaker 1: over the place trying, you know, And it doesn't sound
- 59:01Speaker 1: like he's even trying to fix the situation with the
- 59:04Speaker 1: friends money. Maybe he just lost it for good or whatever.
- 59:08Speaker 1: But I think that's a good place to start if
- 59:11Speaker 1: he wants to try and rebuild his relationships. Well, it's
- 59:18Speaker 1: a lot in this letter, but this letter, I'm married
- 59:21Speaker 1: to a messy mitch. I think you're married to a
- 59:24Speaker 1: guy that's very accustomed to being the one, and it
- 59:27Speaker 1: is uncomfortable when he's not in the one position and
- 59:30Speaker 1: is willing to do anything to get back to the
- 59:32Speaker 1: one position. That's what you have here, young lady, being
- 59:37Speaker 1: married to the guy thirteen he used to walk in
- 59:38Speaker 1: the room and everybody who was dying to talk to him,
- 59:41Speaker 1: not a table turn, starts messing out family amongst his friends.
- 59:47Speaker 1: I can't say he's a gospel because everything he says
- 59:50Speaker 1: it's true, well, not quite everything. Oh he's a big lie.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Well I don't know how you think. And everything he
- 59:59Speaker 1: say it's true. Oh, well, we come back. We're gonna
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: find out why his ass had that ankle Braceley don't
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: and what we've been to find right after you. All right,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: we'll let part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after today's Strawberry Letter subject I'm married
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: to a messy Mitch. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry Letter and finish
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: up with your response, subject I'm married to a messy Mitch. Absolutely,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: here we go. This woman's been married to this man
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: for thirteen years. He used to be the guy he
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: walked into a room and all heads would turn, everybody
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: wanted to talk to him. She was just a wallflower.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Well things have turned now and he's messy. He starts
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: messing the family and amongst his friends. Then she makes
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the unbelievable statement, I can't say that he's a gossiper
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: because everything he says is true. Well, we're talking about
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: a man who was soon to be on house arresting,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: so I don't know how every thing he says true.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: He lied to somebody, Well, let's find out, but he
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: shouldn't repeat what I tell him. That's true. Things took
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: a shift in our relationship when he made some bad
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: business decisions and a few of our friends were involved,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: which caused them to lose a lot of money. We
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: lost money as well. Well, I'm gonna tell you something
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: right here. You lost all the friend you can quit.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: You're gonna try in this letter to put them back together.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: But once I lose a lot of money with you
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: in your ass and steal him, I don't give it.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Damn how much of yours you lost, I'm not concerned
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: about that. It's that hundred thousand I gave your ass,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: see all fifty thousand or twenty five thousand, whatever, whatever
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: the little group cut was. I don't know how big
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: the deal was, but they don't give a damn how
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: much he lost. They lost money at the time, you
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: got a promotion and what you was able to step
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: in and get us back on track financially while he
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: served six months on house arrest. That were four couples
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: involved in his downfall, and only two of the guys
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: involved had forgiven him and are working on rebuilding a
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: friendship with him. This ain't gonna work. All they try
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: to do is cozy back up till they get their
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: money back. Ain't nobody feel to be friends with you again? Folk?
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Couples involved house arrest six months ain'tcle brachions. See Shirley
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: says she don't know what he could have did. I'm
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: telling you right now this was some type of real
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: estate Ponzi scheme, because that was actually something what you
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: call it tangible involved and it just didn't work out.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: But the way he phrased it made it look like
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: it was more than it could be. Thus the money
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: got lost. But it was a tangible asset involved, which
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: is why he was on house arrest. How do I
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: know this type of stuff? Yeah, because I have a
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: colorful passed with several friends that have done everything I
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: can for murder all the way down to folk degree misdemeanors.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I have people I know who've done all of the above. Anyway,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: let's move on. I may be wrong for going behind
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: his back and talking to them on his behalf, but
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I didn't want to see him depressed and broken friends,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: and she went back trying to put her to put
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: their little friends back together. Right. I told my husband
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: exactly how they felt and how they really didn't want
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: to be around him. But they give it a try. See,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: they don't want to be round it because he lied.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: See all that stuff you said up in their thing,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: But he ain't a gospel, but everything he said is true.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: He lied to get their money. He lied about the results,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: he lied about the potential earning, and he lied about
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: when and how they was gonna get it. So now
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: this ain't gonna work. We had a small party for
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: my forty and the friends group came. The couples talk
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: to each other and kind of shunned my husband. So
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: he felt some kind of way because it was at
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: our house. Yeah, I ain't mad at him me over here,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: you talking to everybody, but you ain't talking to me.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I'm sitting the corn to damn ankle break it on.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: See that's what That's what it was. Because the anybody
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: want to go over there, because you don't know how
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: to ankle break it. But you can hear if you
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: get too close to the door a little bit. Yea,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: you can hear him. You can hear and you can
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: hear it. Now he can feel it. But see y'all living,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and now he shown at the house and then he
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: went off on him and then he said everything I
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: told him word for word. He's a messy mitch, which
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: ain't what you want to say. And he thinks it's
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: okay to talk crazy to these people. They also told
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: my sisters some things I said about her. Now we
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: ain't talking. If I can't confide to my husband's our
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: marriage over pretty much. But your marriage is over because
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: of that damn ankle brace y'all can't go nowhere hard
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to go to dinner with. Somebody got an ankle bracelet.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you something else too. Let me
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: tell you something. You ain't been to talk to me crazy,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: and you're ask sending up there with this damn moniting
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: device on your damn ankle. You ain't been talking to
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: me crazy, because all we gotta do I take this
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: whole argument out on the punch and put your ass
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: in the media situation. If I walk down to the sidewalk.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: What you're gonna do. You can't chase me, boy, you're
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: asking me double over in paying you trying to chase
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: me that ankle monit on. Sitting up being a house
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: of rest, house of rests ain't fun. You ain't been
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: to dinner nowhere with him in six months. It's hard
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to have sex with that ankle bracelet on. You got
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: your legs all cut up on the side and everything.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: This is hard sitting up in here. Man, he had
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: run real estate Ponzi scheme. Now his ass mad and
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: everybody gonna come in my house. Y'all ain't gonna come
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: up in my house and not talk to me. You
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: over there with an ankle bration it on. We ain't
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: we really even supposed to be here? Got quiet as
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: this couch. I've been on approbation for twenty years. I'm
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: not allowed to be around nobody with a record. Fell
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: in the off weapon me and your ass. Really ain't
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: he supposed to be in the same damn room quiet
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: as his colt? What are you gonna do? He gonna
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: call the police? What? I'd walked over there and slapped
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: him bout mom money? What are you gonna do? What
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: are you gonna do at the party? You kind of
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: slapped him about my cut? What are you gonna do?
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: You got on the ankle bracelet? All right? Thank you? Steve.

- 1:06:51Speaker 1: oh one, Celtics eighty nine, A double boy, a freak man.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: That ball was out there balling. No, Chris Middleton is
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: just him. Twenty four points, thirteen rebounds, and twelve assists.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: That's just a dominant performance. It's only one game though.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Junior Boy zero foe up down. That's a sweet rank. Wow. Yeah,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I don't know about that. Okay, punks, now, yeah, but
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: if you just saw what I saw your snake, you're
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: gonna say sweet. Yeah, I ain't see it. I ain't
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: see it. But I know they're not gonna be able
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: to do to the Greek what they did to Durant.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Oh you know they play bullyball on Durant. The problem
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: with trying that what the freak is He started with
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: the ball from the other free throw at started running
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: full speed. Yeah, it's kind of hardest. Ain't nobody getting
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: in his way? Also? Up, man, tell me what about
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: this Warrior grizz this game? Uh? Oh man, this boy
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: the truth man talking about Curry. I'm talking about Memphis.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: But you know what they lost man one seventeen to
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: one sixteen. John madd did have a game thirty four points. Uh.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: You know it's coming down to he could have won
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: that game with last second man that lay up he
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: just missed. He just had a hard angle. But it
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: was like the play they drew him the gift going forward.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Nobody want to hear all that, Junior? What what mean? Yeah?
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Hard angle and all this hill was hard it was
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: a pretty hard angle to make that shot up. I mean,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: he didn't made that shot a hundred times. I didn't
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: seem to do it. They just they doesn't want to
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: hear about the loss. I predict seven games on this. Hey, man,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: did you see Draymond green get ejected team? I didn't
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: think he should have. You don't think he should be ejected? Well? Man,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Well he pulled a man in jersey, Now, okay, I
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: know it just didn't Band was going up for Clark
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: was going to for for a layup. So under the goal,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Draymond Greene swipes at him, hits him in the face,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: and then grabs his jersey and pulls him to the floe.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Probably nineteen eighty five. Yeah, they did not let him
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: get that ball in that basket, with Draymond saying and
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: they ejected him, And it's like, sit, should he have
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: been a jeckt a shitty? Not? So they ejected him,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: But the Warriors still pulled it off. Tonight. We got
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: the seventy sixes in the heat and we got the
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Mavericks in the suns. We're gonna see how that go.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I can't wait. But there's no Joel Ebad, no Joel
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: embid he's hurt, he's out over the fraction. Yeah, it's
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: gonna be seems happened. There you go, Charlan, All right, Junior,

- 1:10:06Speaker 1: damaged and went inside to find a couple, a black
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: male and a white female, just lying in her bed.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: The bed was the only piece of furniture left in

- 1:11:14Speaker 1: is a lady came in and found two people in
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: her apartment, in her house. The real story, if I
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: walk in here, it's what did the police found. That's
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: what this story gonna be about. It's gonna be what
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: the damn police found, because I don't even understand this
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: right here. I don't even get it at all. Well, yeah, okay,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: the theft, the fact that they stole her furniture and
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: all of that. The bed was the only thing left
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: in there. She was talking to them, Yeah, he was
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: to the criminal. He was trying to explain how people
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: liked her and got tired and fell asleep. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: maybe together gotten to know this guy. So it's sounded

- 1:12:06Speaker 1: you get learning of spurns. Spurn Spurns. Yeah, they stole
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: over forty nine thousand dollars worth of her stuff. This
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: is according to the police report, and the video was
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: posted online in hopes of finding the suspects because they
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: got away. Just how they got away ago, right, But
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: she was she couldn't hold them, you know. So the

- 1:12:39Speaker 1: a crazy story. Next story. This is too ignorant for us,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: and we have several ignorant people on the show. Way,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: this is too ignorant for us, and we have several
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: ignorant people on the show. We're not gonna sit here
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: and let you do this to us. You draw the line,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: stay this enough is enough. We can't help that. But
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: we can't figure some stuff out. Yes, did you want

- 1:13:55Speaker 1: I thought you was gone. He did said that in there.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Then then the process, he said, excuse me, is three
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: ways to get in your apartment, to show you. Then
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: she said, I can't believe this everybody's way to calm,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: for these to be some total strangers in somebody house. First.
