- 0:00G'day, that's right, it's that time again, time for Cinema Yugen!
- 0:08Music.
- 0:18Yes, Cinema Yugen, welcome back everybody.
- 0:22My guest today is Corey Deanne Cowley, who was raised by her mother Lisa in
- 0:29suburbia, raised in what would become her hometown of Hendersonville.
- 0:34Cowley spent a majority of her childhood obsessed with any and everything dark.
- 0:40With her primary focus on horror, she is known for Forest Hills,
- 0:46Devour, or the Virginia Bitches,
- 0:49Dead Woods, and more grindhouse titles such as Tri-pop-a-phobic Possession.
- 0:58With origins in the controversial
- 1:02and extreme styles Cowley is not afraid to push the
- 1:05envelope known for utilizing taboo elements
- 1:08in her own original art directors and creators alike note her as the Lady of
- 1:14Decay but we don't see her that way she's a wonderful lady and we're very excited
- 1:20to have her as our guest please welcome to Cinema Yugen Corey Deanne Cowley.
- 1:28Oh my god you said my name right thank you
- 1:32thank you for being our guest here on cinema you thank
- 1:35you for having me it's tremendous you're
- 1:38a very talented lady a director special
- 1:42effects artist actor we're going
- 1:45to put a link to cory has an official website that
- 1:48we will put the links to that in our imdb in the
- 1:51description cory you like all things dark
- 1:54tell us about the glories of darkness well
- 1:58so i started out as a writer i published
- 2:01two books and a lot of my origins started in creative writing and theater and
- 2:08so when i was growing up i i wrote a lot of short stories and poetry and then
- 2:14that kind of led into writing the two novels that i have and so,
- 2:20my first film growing up was hellraiser that was the first film i ever saw when
- 2:25i was three years old yeah i know you weren't a my little pony kind of girl.
- 2:32I mean wait a minute hang on my little pony is amazing first of all.
- 2:38But yeah hellraiser was one of the first films that i saw that i really really
- 2:42really just absolutely fell in love with and so it kind of led me down the avenue
- 2:47of getting a little bit interested into the process behind makeup and stuff and so it is,
- 2:53Gary Tunnicliffe is actually a huge inspiration for me just because,
- 2:58you know, he was the first person to teach me about nerneys.
- 3:02And I just, I've just always been obsessed with everything kind of macabre and
- 3:08grotesque ever since I was like a little wee little lass.
- 3:13That's lovely. It's great to see the, did you see this? You've obviously seen the substance, yeah?
- 3:20You know what? I have not seen the substance yet. But I know,
- 3:24I know, I know, I know, I know.
- 3:27You're the one guest I thought she'd be telling me, oh, the substance is gold.
- 3:32I've seen it 50 times already.
- 3:34But I won't lie to you, though. I have looked at some scenes on YouTube,
- 3:37and I love what I've seen so far.
- 3:39But I haven't seen it all the way through yet. Well, you're in for a surprise. It's great.
- 3:44It's as if David Cronenberg had directed Death Becomes Her. It's fantastic.
- 3:49But without a comedy. Although there is, you know, some ironic laughs, I think. Okay.
- 3:56But I definitely think it's Demi's year. She's won the Globe.
- 3:59I think that she might be in line for the Academy Award.
- 4:04Horror is always a dependable genre, and especially in the independent world, it's very...
- 4:13I'd say it's easy, but it's a little bit easier to sell a horror film,
- 4:18wouldn't you say, than another genre.
- 4:21I think as far as selling distribution-wise, absolutely, 100%.
- 4:26It's so much easier to sell a horror than it is a comedy.
- 4:30I mean, it's just—horror is so in right now. So in.
- 4:35Being into effects, you must be also a disciple of Tom Savini, yeah?
- 4:41Absolutely. i think i've worked with
- 4:44more of his graduates than anybody
- 4:47in the special effects makeup world wow yeah yeah
- 4:51one the the one the girl that we hired
- 4:54for my tv show for
- 4:57screen box the the costume part of the costume creation for that she was a savini
- 5:02graduate which i myself am not a savini graduate but i would love maybe somewhere
- 5:07down the road when things are not so chaotic i would like to possibly explore
- 5:11going to the Savini School and entertaining that.
- 5:15Yeah. It would be fantastic just to sit and talk with.
- 5:19I mean, what a legacy, what a catalogue, what a guy, what a talent.
- 5:27Tremendous, tremendous. It's – I actually knew – I nearly had an interview with
- 5:32Tom Savini some time ago.
- 5:34And then, you know, I mean, trying to nail people down at certain times is difficult,
- 5:41and then time goes by and they go on to different work and it becomes more difficult.
- 5:48Absolutely. But you have a lot of films upcoming.
- 5:53You're the first person I've ever met that's played a sperm monster,
- 5:57is your credit. Taliesis.
- 6:02Which seems which seems ironic because we're all
- 6:05kind of actually sperm monsters or the sperm monsters that survived
- 6:08or made it so to speak you know
- 6:14what i am really proud of this film for a multitude
- 6:17of reasons i'm not sure if you've watched it yeah i know
- 6:19i know they're they're doing pre-sales now for some of
- 6:22the blu-rays and fallacies was
- 6:25the first film that i i had of challenge directing and writing the story for
- 6:29i initially wanted to go in a comedic route for my segment but you know jim
- 6:36my husband we kind of did like a rehearsal of it and it didn't really flow that
- 6:40well so i kind of went back to doing what i initially wanted to do which was like,
- 6:44a j-horror inspired segment which j-horror is kind of my pole star in case you weren't sure.
- 6:53And we it i am
- 6:56not i'm only in it for like 10 seconds jim is
- 7:00mostly in it obviously since he's a man and it
- 7:03just was really it you know what i'm
- 7:06so proud of how much publicity this
- 7:09movie has gotten it's just it's like a different mix of
- 7:12just you know dark humor body horror
- 7:15fantasy thriller it's it's like it's
- 7:18it's everything it really is i think everybody in this movie did a phenomenal
- 7:23job across the board i couldn't be more proud and i'm very proud of this guy
- 7:28sitting across from me because his penis stars in it jim's looking at me like you bitch.
- 7:38Hey look everyone wants to be a star everyone wants to be a rock star everyone
- 7:42wants to be a I'm a movie star.
- 7:44Shouldn't shake your head, my friend. You should be like, yeah,
- 7:47I'm a movie star, man. Don't.
- 7:50You see? Andre, park the car, you know.
- 7:56Yeah. Take my fur coat and I'll see you after the premiere.
- 8:02But you have a lot. You have so much in various stages of pre-production, post-production.
- 8:10Is there is there some other films that you've got coming that you'd like to,
- 8:14or things that you haven't developed that you'd like to tell our audience about
- 8:18i do i do i have a i have this it's probably the biggest well besides devour
- 8:25devour is slated to come out this october which that film's fucking crazy i'm
- 8:31sure you've seen the trailer for it It's insane.
- 8:34It's insane. My character, you won't forget it. I'll just put it that way.
- 8:41But besides that, I'm really excited because I'm doing a limited TV show for Screambox.
- 8:50I can't say what my involvement is with it yet. Okay.
- 8:54But I am a big part of it. And we're really excited, too, because,
- 8:59you know, we've got the creative team from Terrifier.
- 9:04Casey Hartnett is in it, who was in Terrifier 2.
- 9:07Our casting agent, Matthew Maisto, he's a big part of it.
- 9:13Tony Walsh is also a big part of it, who was our executive producer.
- 9:18And then Dennis Calo and Bethany Watson, who are my directors.
- 9:23We've just, we've done a, I really wish I could talk about it more,
- 9:26but I just, I legally can't, but oh my God. That's okay.
- 9:31Look, a teaser trailer is just as good. I mean, it's, it's fun.
- 9:37It's absolutely incredible when they bring out trailers these days, don't you think?
- 9:41And then five minutes later, there's 50 videos on YouTube Everyone has dissected
- 9:46every single frame of a minute and 30 seconds, which is absolutely incredible.
- 9:53I saw a breakdown of the Fantastic Four trailer, which only goes for a minute
- 9:57and 34 or 35 seconds, but someone had made a 22-minute video breaking down that
- 10:03minute and 34 seconds, which is incredible.
- 10:06Really? Staggering. That is staggering. The first thing that comes to mind is
- 10:11this fellow has nothing better to do. No.
- 10:15No. Do you have a job, sir? I mean, one could say, yeah, he really loves the
- 10:19Fantastic Four and he's really excited.
- 10:21But getting 22 minutes out of a minute and 34 seconds is commendable, if anything.
- 10:32Yeah i just i i have a lot of stuff kind of
- 10:35in pre-production right now like on listed on my imdb i
- 10:38have to go to new york later this year and we're
- 10:41i'm i'm directing and i'm starring in all wound
- 10:44scream at once which is it's gonna be just so fucked up i
- 10:47mean it's whoo the that
- 10:50script is a rough read it's a rough read it's it's
- 10:53it's definitely gonna make some people just ill but i'm
- 10:56i'm excited for it what were you again when you
- 10:59saw hellraiser i was three i was
- 11:02three you've it's like the event horizon you've gone
- 11:06through the gateway and brought the darkness back with you you
- 11:09know i'm not gonna lie to you when some
- 11:12when jim's like you want to put on a movie like a romantic movie
- 11:15i'm like yeah why event horizon that's beautiful
- 11:22that's a real couples film that on it's
- 11:25you know what i think there's a lot of just parallels between
- 11:29a normal relationship you know strength unity proper communication you're right
- 11:35yeah yeah and being tormented by your your dreams so to speak so to speak yeah
- 11:45liberate may right oh sorry liberate to me,
- 11:49oh you know okay i i couldn't even quote that so you're ahead of me.
- 11:54That's okay. But so what do you think, having worked a lot in the genre,
- 12:03what do you think are the essential elements for, you know, new and aspiring
- 12:09filmmakers that want to make horror movies or movies with a dark heart, so to speak?
- 12:16What do you think are the key elements to make a good horror movie,
- 12:21scary movie? I think the first thing...
- 12:25The first thing is an open mind. You have to have an open mind,
- 12:30I think, if you're going into it with too much of a, am I going to be,
- 12:37you know, am I going to get a strike against me for this?
- 12:39Am I going to look a certain way for doing this? I think I don't think you really can do horror.
- 12:46Now, there are I think there's certain degrees of horror in terms of,
- 12:50you know, just kind of the gore and whatnot and stuff.
- 12:54But I think for the most part, you really have to have an open mind and you
- 12:57kind of have to accept the fact that, you know, not everyone's going to like it.
- 13:02I mean, that can be said about said about every genre.
- 13:04You know, there's certain things for people and certain things not. But yeah.
- 13:08I think, too, that a lot of the horror films that I do, I like to kind of have a full arc.
- 13:16I like to have a full story, no matter how, you know, disgusting or no matter
- 13:20how, excuse me, you know, dark it gets.
- 13:24I think a story is, you know, open mind, a good story, strong actors who are
- 13:30really willing to get in there and just kind of, you know, give it their all,
- 13:35you know, because it can be a demanding genre.
- 13:39There have certainly been instances that
- 13:42i've i've been in short films and i've i've definitely
- 13:46saw should i go to therapy for this like do
- 13:49i need therapy do i need do i need to seek out
- 13:52someone for what i have just done but well
- 13:55confession yeah yeah let's make
- 13:59my friend my friend my friend maybe
- 14:02one of these days i'll kind of delve into the things that i've seen
- 14:05and done but yeah just a really open
- 14:08mind and just just you know
- 14:11it's like I think a lot of people have this thing where they feel like especially
- 14:17with horror they have to outdo someone else because they feel like everything's
- 14:23been done before and I've even fallen into that trap where I've I've been like
- 14:27well I'm gonna do this and outdo someone because this was gross so I'm gonna I go,
- 14:31just forget that and just make a good story.
- 14:35Just make a good story, you know, and, and, and make sure your actors are,
- 14:39you know, a hundred percent and put their heart and soul into it.
- 14:42And you should be, you should be fine.
- 14:45And it's, it's, I think imperative that the, the cast be, as you say,
- 14:51solid actors, because if they're not, you don't really care whether they get killed or not. No, no.
- 15:00I mean, because let's face it, in a good horror movie, you want,
- 15:06if you have endeared yourself at all, to any of the cast...
- 15:11Hoping that they survive or live or overcome.
- 15:16I mean, if it's Veronica Cartwright and Alien, then they got to go.
- 15:21I'm sorry. They got to go.
- 15:24Veronica Cartwright and Alien, hands down one of the most annoying fucking characters
- 15:28ever. But God, she did it so well. I can't be mad at her for that.
- 15:33Yeah, I mean, look, it works the other way around too.
- 15:36If someone, you know, is purposefully or written purposefully to be that character,
- 15:43like, geez, I hope he gets it next or they get it first or, you know.
- 15:51Or their death is, you know, one of those, like in those movies where the deaths
- 15:55get incredibly inventive, you know, like in a Saw movie or something like that.
- 16:00They don't just have a complicated get their throat cut or their head cut off.
- 16:05Exactly. on a meat hook or something they get an
- 16:08elaborate death where there's a timer hooked up to them and if they
- 16:12try to stand up they're you know or or
- 16:15maggots in the vagina yeah i
- 16:19i've done that i've done that well lucky i've had my breakfast i'm sorry you
- 16:31know hey listen listen i i've told you We've got to have a separate conversation
- 16:35about the films I've done.
- 16:40Wow. Maggots. Yeah. Part of your complete breakfast, ladies and gentlemen.
- 16:47Corey, a link to all Corey stuff is in the description, plus her website.
- 16:54Corey, there is a great revolution, I believe, happening at the moment in independent cinema.
- 17:00I believe that there is great originality, great vitality, and it's all coming
- 17:08out of independent movies as the major studios seem content to play.
- 17:15Just reproduce everything in their catalog and make a sequel or a prequel or
- 17:21a prequel or whatever out of it.
- 17:25I mean, for God's sake, they're doing a sequel to Romy and Michelle's high school
- 17:28reunion. Are they really? Yeah.
- 17:32Yeah. It's the sequel. You never knew you wanted Romy and Michelle to their
- 17:39back. It's instead of the 20th high school reunion, it's the 40th and everyone's older.
- 17:45Cool that's so cool and there'll be wine and cheese retirement village after
- 17:50the reunion i mean i'm not gonna lie i would go to the retirement village for
- 17:55wine and cheese but you know that's that's just me.
- 18:00How do you feel about the state of independent cinema corey going strong getting
- 18:04stronger i think it's it's going going strong and definitely going stronger
- 18:09terrifier three just kind of blew the fucking door open as far as independent
- 18:14film really getting to a point where i mean,
- 18:19holy fuck they just they i mean independent film
- 18:22was already you know gaining traction and in cinema
- 18:25but then because of that movie forget it
- 18:28now everyone's putting all all their
- 18:31eggs in the indie basket and they should you know
- 18:34because like you said with a lot of a lot
- 18:37of the higher budget productions they're just kind of invested in
- 18:40just making money and and and not really putting
- 18:43out something that's that's you know thought-provoking or
- 18:46creative or innovative it's just same
- 18:49thing over and over again so i think indie right now is chef's kiss i mean it's
- 18:56it's sad to think that the epicenter of cinema has abandoned storytelling and
- 19:01turned movies into essentially cereal flavors where you can go to the supermarket
- 19:06and get your star Wars flavored cereal,
- 19:08your Harry Potter flavored cereal, your, you know, whatever.
- 19:12And it looks and smells and tastes the same, but it's not quite. Yeah.
- 19:18I also think television too is also want to rise,
- 19:23especially with Shogun coming out, which my God,
- 19:28what a, what an incredible series, but you know,
- 19:31TV right now is I there's
- 19:35so Many good TV series out right now Too
- 19:38so it's very interesting how The tides have kind
- 19:41of changed Yeah well I
- 19:43I think it's I think You know as they say in Most things in culture comes In
- 19:50waves and You know I just I just think it's It's time because once once something
- 19:56Or once the mainstream Gets stale everyone goes looking for a different,
- 20:02You know, something different, you know. I mean, it's like there are upteen
- 20:06Chinese restaurants, you know, in a row.
- 20:10Yeah. But as much as you feel like Chinese food, you don't want something that's generic.
- 20:16Right. You don't want something that's – look, it may be generic as far as the recipe is the same,
- 20:22but something that's made in a sort of a chain Chinese restaurant as opposed
- 20:28to a little store in an alley where there's an old man who's been cooking it
- 20:32for years is going to taste different to,
- 20:37I suppose, Panda Express is probably relevant there.
- 20:43That's a good example. Yeah. I mean, and that's how I kind of feel.
- 20:46Hollywood has become like the Panda Express of cinema.
- 20:52And independent cinema has become like those little hole in the wall places where,
- 20:59yes, we do serve Chinese food, but it's not, you know, it doesn't come all pre-packaged
- 21:04and we just throw it into a microwave and then give it to you. It has less MSG.
- 21:10Yeah, that's true.
- 21:12Or enough MSG to kill a small horse.
- 21:15But, yeah, it's shocking, but it gives me great hope.
- 21:21I've been very fortunate since doing this to see so many, so many,
- 21:27one after the other, after the other, independent movies that I probably might
- 21:32not have seen otherwise.
- 21:34Oh, absolutely.
- 21:36Mainly because the sad part of it is some of them really struggle to find distribution,
- 21:43particularly the ones that do not have,
- 21:46you know, an actor that people know to stick on the poster or,
- 21:50you know, something to that effect. And it's sad because they are like your
- 21:55films. They're really well written. They're made with passion.
- 21:59They're okay. They don't have a marketable name to put on the advertising.
- 22:06I think that's something too that's really interesting that you just said is I,
- 22:13one thing that I would like to see though, So my only complaint about indie,
- 22:20and I'm probably going to get a lot of shit for saying this,
- 22:23but I would like to see a little more diversity in terms of actors and actresses
- 22:28because I do see a lot of the same actors and actresses kind of cast along the board.
- 22:35And they are talented, but I do think, though, that taking a chance on someone
- 22:41who is less known, you can really yield some incredible results when you take that chance.
- 22:49No, no. Look, you're not Robinson Crusoe on that island. I totally agree.
- 22:53I have seen just over the last year performances of actors, male,
- 22:59female, and otherwise, in every genre, and these people, sometimes it's their first film.
- 23:05Yeah and they are incredible they're just as good i i watched a short well not
- 23:12a short film i watched an independent film the other day i don't know if you've
- 23:14seen it's called cold wallet,
- 23:16no i haven't it is if you can see it check it out it really should be playing
- 23:22at a cinema near you it's so smart it's so well made it's an independent movie.
- 23:30But all of the performances, the photography, editing, the score,
- 23:37top shelf. You wouldn't know that it was independent movie watching it, you know. Yeah.
- 23:44Just, yeah, so good. Yes, some of the faces you have seen before in bit parts,
- 23:51but otherwise, in a starring role,
- 23:55you know, Some people work so hard to get a shot, just like your husband wants to be a movie star.
- 24:04And some people absolutely give it all and never get a shot.
- 24:09So I love seeing it when people who have wanted so badly to be the lead in any movie get their shot.
- 24:17And I tell you what, they leave it all on film. They don't phone it in.
- 24:21Oh, yeah. They don't come at it, you know, half-arsed and say,
- 24:26well, you know, I'm an actress.
- 24:28That means someone just stands off camera with all my lines written on a card.
- 24:32And I just, it gives an immediacy to my performance because it sounds like I'm
- 24:36saying it for the first time when in fact I am.
- 24:41A card. They're trying to brand out their way through it. I was just thinking
- 24:45of that too. I was thinking to myself, how did he?
- 24:50Yeah, must be nice. Hey, look,
- 24:53if I was famous enough to be paid $3 million to read my lines off a card and
- 25:00have it be as convincing as any of the great performances in cinema...
- 25:09I'd i'd i'd ponder it i mean i wouldn't
- 25:12immediately say no no no no
- 25:16i don't think i'd immediately say no either it's just i'm
- 25:19thinking about i mean if my personality had
- 25:22that kind of clout you know what i mean like right like
- 25:25you're just so compelling on screen you could sit there in
- 25:28your underwear and do nothing and people would show up you know
- 25:31what i mean well i'm also thinking too long term
- 25:34you know giving myself some brain exercise to prevent
- 25:37alzheimer's but maybe i think i think i'm the only one that thinks
- 25:40of that just i i like
- 25:43doing auditions because it's a way for me to kind of use
- 25:46my brain so i'm like all right i'm one step closer to
- 25:48preventing alzheimer's and dementia and i
- 25:51look practice makes perfect so many so many
- 25:55people in this business get a shot and then they rest on that they go well i've
- 26:00i've got this this will now be the generator for more work but especially actors
- 26:06you really i mean just getting a couple of decent credits you can't really rest
- 26:11on that because while you're sitting around.
- 26:14Waiting for the next job there are a lot of hungry actors out
- 26:17there as they say the wolf on the hill is not as
- 26:20hungry as the wolf climbing the hill and i've
- 26:23never heard that before i like that you can very easily
- 26:27get passed by in any industry by people
- 26:31who are simply hungrier than you oh 100
- 26:34to get to get not necessarily to get above you but to get to the next level
- 26:39whatever that might whatever that level may be to them whether that's being
- 26:43in a film that is commercially released being a film that's released at all
- 26:47being a film that they've always wanted to make short film or feature doesn't matter.
- 26:53You know yourself making short films is
- 26:56a great proving ground not just for your ideas but
- 26:59to to further your experience true
- 27:01oh a hundred percent and even
- 27:05as an actor you know i have
- 27:08a manager now matt i have a manager now when
- 27:12i finally finally have
- 27:15an agent kim mccray which i just got on
- 27:17friday which i'm very excited about there you go you
- 27:20know even with that don't forget when you get
- 27:23famous oh my god you're so sweet thank
- 27:26you but yeah no trust me i'm i'm just
- 27:29a regular guinea pig mama that's it but you
- 27:32know even with that i still i still actively every day wake up and i and i go
- 27:37through and i try and find roles and stuff but i i have such a high standard
- 27:43for how i want to be and i don't know i love horror but i don't necessarily
- 27:48want to pigeonhole myself into one particular genre.
- 27:52I'll go out of my way and I'll try and find roles that to kind of force myself
- 27:59into doing something that I'm
- 28:00not really comfortable with, because I think that's the best way to learn.
- 28:04And it's, it's fun. You know, I like that challenge. I do.
- 28:09I think, I think that, you know, especially as an actor, you got to try and
- 28:15switch it up a little bit. But otherwise, you're just going to get bored.
- 28:17And like you said, you're going to get so content resting on those two credits
- 28:21that you only specifically search for this one thing.
- 28:27Whereas there's another thing that you could potentially be good at.
- 28:31It's just you don't go for it because you're like, well, I have these two credits.
- 28:35So this is what I'm good at. So I'm not going to pursue this.
- 28:38And I think that's the biggest affront you can do to yourself, especially as an actor.
- 28:42So what what types of what other
- 28:45types of films outside of the horror genre are you interested in
- 28:49exploring like uh during the drama honestly
- 28:53history i love history i'm obsessed with history i would love to portray some
- 29:01kind of historical person i don't know who it would be i don't know really who
- 29:06i look like but maybe somebody and then.
- 29:11I would really like to do action. I think action would be a lot of fun,
- 29:16you know, because I've done minor stunts and roles and stuff for some of the
- 29:20films that I've done, but I think it'd be so fun to just do kind of like a predator type thing,
- 29:29you know, something really cool. Yeah.
- 29:32Maybe Terminator. You could very, look, you're a very talented writer,
- 29:36director, actor, everything, you could create your own...
- 29:41Like a Resident Evil, and you could be the new Milo Jovovich of the series.
- 29:48That would actually be really cool. You could be the new Alice.
- 29:55That would be awesome. I wish I could do – obviously, I don't have the money
- 30:01for it, and I would need so many permits and permissions and stuff,
- 30:05but I would love to do a perfect dark film.
- 30:09I don't know if you remember that game from the 10th century.
- 30:10I do remember that game, yeah.
- 30:12Yeah, I would love to do Perfect Dark. I always wanted to cosplay Joanna Dark, but my hair's too long.
- 30:19But still, you know, I could get it in a wig or something.
- 30:22So maybe she grows her hair out. That cosplaying stuff is hardcore.
- 30:27Yeah, it really is. That's a hardcore thing. I watched a documentary once about
- 30:31cosplayers, and I had no idea how it's aboded and serious.
- 30:37And you know i
- 30:40mean it's taking dress-ups to a new level i think
- 30:43the closest i've come to cosplay was cosplaying marge goopman from halloween
- 30:483 season of the witch they're territorial too they fight yeah yeah they do they
- 30:54fight they and they complain about if you dress up as a certain character oh
- 30:58you forgot the boots those aren't accurate screen accurate boots you're wearing there.
- 31:05Sounds like a real problem there are gumboots with a bit of paint is all I could afford I'm sorry,
- 31:13I'll do better next time.
