- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:15Speaker 1: like American buck things. And it's not me true good
- 0:20Speaker 1: it Steve Hardy listening to the movie together for ste
- 0:30Speaker 1: Please Moby, I don't join joining me. You gotta use
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn be hurting the You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You haven't got to turn them out. Turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come come on your fad uh huh.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I sure will a good morning everybody, y'all listening to
- 2:04Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, okay, here's what
- 2:18Speaker 1: I want to share with you. Stop complaining. So I
- 2:27Speaker 1: had to let you see how I let that one
- 2:29Speaker 1: sit for a second. Stop complaining. Do you realize without
- 2:40Speaker 1: us even thinking about it, oftentimes we just complain about
- 2:44Speaker 1: stuff and it comes up in such subtle forms. Man,
- 2:53Speaker 1: I don't know why they're still letting that lady work there. Man,
- 2:55Speaker 1: if they don't fire this woman, man, I don't know
- 2:57Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. She driving me crazy. She always
- 3:02Speaker 1: got something to say. I bet to day though, the
- 3:08Speaker 1: way I'm feeling right now, I bet she'd bet not
- 3:10Speaker 1: say nothing to me today. Yeah, yeah, because day it
- 3:16Speaker 1: today it. I'm sick of her running her mouth. Last
- 3:21Speaker 1: time she said something to me, I should have said
- 3:24Speaker 1: something to it. You know what I'm saying. I'm just
- 3:26Speaker 1: giving you a small example of how it starts to
- 3:30Speaker 1: snowball once you start to complain. It's it just carries
- 3:37Speaker 1: over into so many things. Man, Stop complaining about your car,
- 3:41Speaker 1: Stop complaining about your bus pass, Stop complaining about your
- 3:45Speaker 1: kids can't seem to get it together, Stop complaining about
- 3:48Speaker 1: your man can't seem to get it together. Stop complaining.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Stop Have you noticed? I'm just asking, have you noticed
- 3:59Speaker 1: that in all all of your complaining, it has provided
- 4:03Speaker 1: not one solution. The reason I'm telling you to stop
- 4:08Speaker 1: complaining because God is able. Because God is capable. He
- 4:17Speaker 1: is capable and able of fixing anything, capable and able
- 4:24Speaker 1: of curing anything, capable and able of allowing you to
- 4:31Speaker 1: get too adjusting to things, and capable and able to
- 4:38Speaker 1: strengthen you to get through and change anything. But the
- 4:45Speaker 1: key here is God is capable, and God is able.
- 4:50Speaker 1: A lot of times I find myself complaining because I
- 4:54Speaker 1: have not used my greatest asset and that's my relationship
- 4:59Speaker 1: with God. You all have one. Now. You may not
- 5:02Speaker 1: have nurtured it, but you have one because God created
- 5:05Speaker 1: you as his child. He's available to you now. The
- 5:09Speaker 1: fact that you ain't went to him. Okay, once again,
- 5:13Speaker 1: who faughthers that? Stop complaining until you strengthen your relationship
- 5:20Speaker 1: with God and formulate this relationship. You don't have enough weapons.
- 5:29Speaker 1: You ain't got a big enough shield to fight this
- 5:31Speaker 1: thing called life. It just keeps coming. Man, And unless
- 5:36Speaker 1: you develop a relationship with God, you need a partner
- 5:39Speaker 1: in all of this. Maybe you got another route you're
- 5:42Speaker 1: gonna take. But every successful person I know personally has
- 5:51Speaker 1: a relationship with God. I have some really really some
- 5:58Speaker 1: people that's kind of up in the success term in
- 6:01Speaker 1: terms of business and money and statute. I'm just talking
- 6:06Speaker 1: about that portion of success. And then I have a
- 6:08Speaker 1: lot of people who are very successful in their spiritual life,
- 6:13Speaker 1: who have become great men of God and women of God.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But look at all of them, and all of them
- 6:20Speaker 1: have substantial amounts of you know, possessions and things like that. Also,
- 6:28Speaker 1: most successful people I know have that even if you
- 6:33Speaker 1: saw them never with a big lot of house and
- 6:36Speaker 1: a lot of money or stuff like that. They had
- 6:38Speaker 1: so much respect, so much love, so much power was
- 6:45Speaker 1: given them from people that their life was rich in
- 6:50Speaker 1: that area, you know, like a man Nu the King
- 6:54Speaker 1: or something like that, or Gandhi or somebody who lived
- 6:57Speaker 1: their life in service, or Nelson Mandela who came out
- 7:01Speaker 1: and just man, people put stuff at their feet because
- 7:03Speaker 1: of their service. So all successful people I know have that,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Every last one of these people that I know, they
- 7:10Speaker 1: have relationship with God. They used the tool that was
- 7:15Speaker 1: available to them to give them the strength, the bullets,
- 7:19Speaker 1: the arrows, the slings, the shield to fight this thing
- 7:23Speaker 1: called life and have the most valuable partner right there
- 7:26Speaker 1: by their side. They heavily father God because he will
- 7:29Speaker 1: help you get through this thing called life. Man, stop
- 7:31Speaker 1: complaining all the time. It's not fixing anything. Why don't
- 7:35Speaker 1: you do yourself a favor and strengthen your relationship with God? Man?
- 7:39Speaker 1: Why can I never get over? Well you have not
- 7:42Speaker 1: because you ask not. Man, how come I always got problems? Well,
- 7:46Speaker 1: you keep trying to solve them yourself and taking them
- 7:48Speaker 1: to your friends. You keep trying to do them with
- 7:50Speaker 1: your own thought process. Who are you? I keep telling you? Man,
- 7:55Speaker 1: you're going through stuff you ain't got no business going through.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And if it's you going through something over and over
- 8:02Speaker 1: and over and over and the same problem keep coming
- 8:04Speaker 1: back to bite you again, all that's saying is you
- 8:09Speaker 1: still ain't strengthen your relationship with God. It's your relationship.
- 8:12Speaker 1: He's not gonna make you have one with him. He
- 8:15Speaker 1: is a perfect gentleman. He only comes into your life
- 8:19Speaker 1: when you invite him in. But for those who do
- 8:24Speaker 1: invite himn they have a distinct advantage on their road
- 8:27Speaker 1: to success, a distinct advantage. You can do it without him.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Trust me, you can. How far you get. I can't
- 8:36Speaker 1: promise you nothing, how well you handle it when you
- 8:39Speaker 1: arrived there, I can't promise you nothing. How long you're
- 8:43Speaker 1: gonna stay there, I can't promise you nothing. How difficult
- 8:48Speaker 1: it's going to be without him, I can't give you that.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It's going to be far more difficult. But you can.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Something can happen, and you know, receive a measure of success.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And you think, is you and this move you made,
- 9:00Speaker 1: And you can describe it as I got lucky. I
- 9:03Speaker 1: happened to be in the right place at the right time.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I got lucky. Lucky is usually how other people describe
- 9:10Speaker 1: other people's success. Poor, he was lucky, he was right there. Well,
- 9:14Speaker 1: let me tell you what luck is. Luck is when
- 9:16Speaker 1: hard work bumps up into opportunity. If you've been working
- 9:21Speaker 1: hard as something, an opportunity presents itself that comes a match.
- 9:25Speaker 1: That's not luck. But now, if you haven't done that
- 9:28Speaker 1: on a repetitive enough basis, that opportunity could present itself
- 9:33Speaker 1: one time. You got to reconnect. Stop complaining, man, Come on,
- 9:38Speaker 1: listen to me. Stop complaining. It hasn't fixed a single
- 9:41Speaker 1: thing in your life. And if your chronic complainer, it's
- 9:44Speaker 1: because you really really have not fixed your relationship with God.
- 9:48Speaker 1: He'll smooth it out for you. That I can tell
- 9:51Speaker 1: you for a fact. I know that for a fact.
- 9:53Speaker 1: He's mooved mine out. All right, let's go. You're listening,
- 10:00Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, let me have it. It's your attention
- 10:03Speaker 1: that I'm looking for. It's about to go down, y'all.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It's a Steve Harvey Morning Show. Rising shine, rising, grind
- 10:12Speaker 1: here ye here ye here come to judge. All rise,
- 10:18Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Surely strawberry, Hey, good morning, Steve continued
- 10:23Speaker 1: the love people call it for real. Good morning, what's up? Crow?
- 10:29Speaker 1: Give it up for LS junior boy? Morning, everybody morning, Uncle,
- 10:35Speaker 1: hope everybody's feeling good today. Las, it's a little sickle. Oh,
- 10:41Speaker 1: give it up for the food he just popped in.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Y'all was already LS little sickle nephew Timmy, Yeah, ye
- 10:52Speaker 1: ain't timing the morning top top jopp D. Yeah, I'm
- 10:58Speaker 1: I'm just paying you back for that comment you made
- 11:00Speaker 1: a few weeks I know. Yeah, I just thought that
- 11:03Speaker 1: fire well, I forgave met Yeah, pop team. See. I
- 11:09Speaker 1: have a question, uh huh, I have a question. On
- 11:12Speaker 1: a scale of one to ten, what can we expect
- 11:15Speaker 1: as far as ignorance and stupidity? To think about a
- 11:18Speaker 1: ninety today ninety nine point eight strong? Yeah, and if
- 11:25Speaker 1: they stay out the way a little bit, I could
- 11:28Speaker 1: I could touch teen on an occasion. Okay, let's see
- 11:33Speaker 1: what they don't stop me? Okay, all right, you know
- 11:37Speaker 1: you know who's gonna try to stop me by they?
- 11:39Speaker 1: He means us Carla yea m Yeah, heard me about stupidity.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Same thing. Oh you're talking as I got that. I
- 11:54Speaker 1: got stupid old lock baby, you were looking forward that
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna show it up, lock, I'm gonna show up
- 11:59Speaker 1: to ten. I need number nine point nine nine nine
- 12:04Speaker 1: ten okay, rounded up it, round up? Okay, he don't
- 12:11Speaker 1: really know no other number? Yeah, really, why you say that?
- 12:16Speaker 1: But the on stupidity people that stupid? Don't you just said? Damn,
- 12:21Speaker 1: he's stupid. I don't welcome. I don't even want You're
- 12:24Speaker 1: not You're not that, Timmy. You've overdone, You've done enough
- 12:28Speaker 1: in the past. What you will be known for that
- 12:31Speaker 1: until you leave him? And I'm cool. I'm comfortable with
- 12:33Speaker 1: this though. It can't you out on it. I wanted
- 12:38Speaker 1: to be over within. I wanted to be over with
- 12:42Speaker 1: like Amy Clover Trouts run for the presidency, you know, different,
- 12:50Speaker 1: different time. You know she she's a good candidate. Yeah right,
- 12:55Speaker 1: it's not now, yo, I don't know when it's gonna be.
- 12:57Speaker 1: But the damn show ain't no, yeah, shirlte it's not now,
- 13:01Speaker 1: and we ain't got time for the Democrats. Got to
- 13:03Speaker 1: get rid of these damn people. Amy, come on out
- 13:06Speaker 1: of there. Yeah, yeah, all right, look sire, Yeah, the
- 13:19Speaker 1: other billionaire he ain't got coming up in thirty two
- 13:24Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. A lot of people are worried
- 13:27Speaker 1: about the coronavirus. So our question is, Wow, what would
- 13:32Speaker 1: you do if you couldn't leave the house for fourteen days? Oh?
- 13:37Speaker 1: All right, we'll talk about it when we come back.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Whatever you're listening to show? Okay. So with all of
- 13:46Speaker 1: the new coronavirus outbreak cases popping up everywhere, here's a question, Steve.

- 18:54Speaker 1: many days that this kitchen? And there you got four kids?
- 18:56Speaker 1: There's fourteen days. I don't have four in the house.
- 19:00Speaker 1: One of the kitchen is outside. Okay, it's still for kids.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So I just play neighbors. The neighbors can see my plates,

- 19:36Speaker 1: video games. And let's just leave it at that. I
- 19:38Speaker 1: got a little video system down there. I'm gonna go
- 19:40Speaker 1: down there and play on that, and you know, go
- 19:43Speaker 1: in the golf room and put around and stuff and
- 19:46Speaker 1: do that. Do a whole day. Day ten, I only
- 19:51Speaker 1: got the FuMO days. Then I'm gonna and I'm gonna
- 19:57Speaker 1: watch CNN see what burning I'm doing. The day thirteen,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'm I'm fine, some type of spray in the house.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And then on day fourteen. I'm just gonna spray, oh yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 1: because Magic gonna come home and no, I've been in
- 20:14Speaker 1: there smoking cigars in the house everything. I gotta opened
- 20:17Speaker 1: up all the windows on day Twitter so I can
- 20:19Speaker 1: fumilicate that because it's gonna be cigars smoking all the
- 20:23Speaker 1: drapes in everything. And then how he ain't clean. This
- 20:28Speaker 1: is I don't what you just said. The housekeepers can't come,
- 20:31Speaker 1: so when they come, they got something to do. I'm
- 20:35Speaker 1: not doing that. They might they're gonna be busy, they

- 22:54Speaker 1: the eighteenth floor. Yeah, I'm on eighteen four. Yeah, I'm
- 22:59Speaker 1: at eighteen have. So the parties, um, you know, is
- 23:02Speaker 1: on Friday night, like about ten o'clock, ten to ten
- 23:04Speaker 1: to one. We're inviting a few people out. So but
- 23:07Speaker 1: but um, like I said, you know, I didn't I
- 23:10Speaker 1: didn't know you lived with Breede. But this is a
- 23:13Speaker 1: this is a cool thing. Then. But so we're having
- 23:14Speaker 1: a um we're having a panty party on Friday night.
- 23:18Speaker 1: What a panty party? Yeah? Yeah, on on on the rooftop.
- 23:21Speaker 1: We're having a panty party. You know. We got food
- 23:23Speaker 1: and drinks and all that kind of stuff. So I
- 23:26Speaker 1: was wanting to see if she wanted to come out.
- 23:29Speaker 1: So so that that's what you do, market, that's what
- 23:32Speaker 1: you'll do on the eighteen four, y'all just hit up
- 23:33Speaker 1: folks and try to get duse girls come to a
- 23:36Speaker 1: panty party, a penny party. We have a party once
- 23:40Speaker 1: once every you know, once every once a quarter. We
- 23:42Speaker 1: throw a party. So you know, keep up this bullsh
- 23:46Speaker 1: brother to me, the last party you're throwing does matter
- 23:49Speaker 1: with you calling me after he language? The language? Bro
- 23:53Speaker 1: hold on? Hold on. First of all, I didn't know
- 23:57Speaker 1: Breed lived with someone in nineteen Hey, I've never seen
- 24:00Speaker 1: anybody other than Breathe. Okay, yeah, because I worked my
- 24:03Speaker 1: ass off. Dog. Who are you Marcus? Okay? So so okay,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I'm Marcus. But let's just calm down. Like I said,
- 24:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to do, is invite Breed to um, you know,
- 24:14Speaker 1: to a party. Now, Bree ain't coming to the penny party.
- 24:18Speaker 1: What does the matter with you? Okay? So let's let
- 24:21Speaker 1: let me ask you this, sir. I called for breath,
- 24:24Speaker 1: I don't know, yeah, and you got Gary. If I
- 24:27Speaker 1: don't know, I don't know nothing about no Garry. Okay.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So Breede would have to let me know that that
- 24:33Speaker 1: she doesn't want to come to the party, but I
- 24:36Speaker 1: don't since I thought I had to write a number
- 24:39Speaker 1: for Brie. What I'll do is find out how to
- 24:41Speaker 1: get in touch with Breath directly, because once again I
- 24:44Speaker 1: didn't know I was getting in contact with a Gary.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I thought I was getting in touch with Breath. Yeah. Yeah,
- 24:48Speaker 1: you never to be worth much to breed man when
- 24:49Speaker 1: I cut that off for you to call me, that's
- 24:52Speaker 1: my girl, that's my girl. Okay, so it's your girl,
- 24:55Speaker 1: all right. But like I said, I didn't know she
- 24:57Speaker 1: had a boyfriend anything. But that doesn't shopping me from
- 25:00Speaker 1: asking brief if she wants to come to the party. Yeah, well,
- 25:03Speaker 1: she ain't single. She's not single. The only the only
- 25:06Speaker 1: thing single at nineteen A is that single boy. That's
- 25:09Speaker 1: the only thing that single up in nineteen eh. Okay,
- 25:11Speaker 1: So let me ask you this man, how long have
- 25:13Speaker 1: you Briefe been together. I don't worry about what they
- 25:15Speaker 1: in with my girl. Who are you? Hey? I think
- 25:19Speaker 1: I think Bree can make her own decision or she
- 25:21Speaker 1: want to come to the party. I just called her directly.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I just got the wrong number mixed up, that's all
- 25:26Speaker 1: it is. No, you got the right number, Marcus, you
- 25:30Speaker 1: got the you got the right number and the wrong mother.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Hey dude, so like you're trying to say, brief can't
- 25:35Speaker 1: make up her mind on er she want to come
- 25:37Speaker 1: to the party or not? You can make up. She
- 25:39Speaker 1: can make up her mind if she wants to. I
- 25:41Speaker 1: think she has made it up, Marcus. I think she has. Well,
- 25:44Speaker 1: how do you know that? I haven't even asked her
- 25:46Speaker 1: to come to the panting party. Listen, I'm at work
- 25:49Speaker 1: right now. Don't come in with this boat. I've been
- 25:51Speaker 1: in that building for years. I've never heard no panty
- 25:54Speaker 1: party before. Are you gonna ask her to come to
- 25:56Speaker 1: the panting party? Or do I need to ask you? Marcus?
- 25:59Speaker 1: My girl recruiting? No damn panty party? All right, all right,
- 26:03Speaker 1: I see what I gotta do now. I gotta go
- 26:05Speaker 1: to the doorman and get breeze number. And I asked
- 26:07Speaker 1: her to come. You're not gonna pass on the measures,
- 26:09Speaker 1: but I want her to have. Let me tell you something.
- 26:12Speaker 1: You better not come to the doorman. You better not
- 26:15Speaker 1: come to nineteen eight. That's my girl. Stay the fuck
- 26:18Speaker 1: away from her. So let me ask you this. Are
- 26:20Speaker 1: you as saying the breeze panties? Do you not want
- 26:22Speaker 1: her you do not want us to see her in
- 26:24Speaker 1: the in the in her panties. I mean, mother, don't
- 26:28Speaker 1: worry about me or my girl or her pennies. You
- 26:31Speaker 1: got me, okay? All right, man, I'm not lucky you
- 26:35Speaker 1: called me at work. I know you were at work,
- 26:37Speaker 1: and because somebody told me you were at work. You
- 26:39Speaker 1: know who told me you were at work? Gary? Who
- 26:42Speaker 1: told you that I was at work? Mother? Bree told
- 26:45Speaker 1: me you were at work. This is Nephew Times from
- 26:47Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got what the fuck?
- 26:53Speaker 1: Hey Hey Gary, Gary, Gary, Gary, listen to me. This

- 28:46Speaker 1: one count of third degree rape. He is not guilty
- 28:49Speaker 1: of the other counts of predatory sexual assault and first
- 28:52Speaker 1: degree rape. Weinstein is facing up to twenty five years
- 28:55Speaker 1: in jail on one of the counts in four years
- 28:58Speaker 1: on the other. Six women testify that they had sexually
- 29:02Speaker 1: assaulted them, that he had sexually assaulted them. Harvey Weinstein's
- 29:06Speaker 1: a legal team insists the fight is not over and
- 29:09Speaker 1: say they plan to appeal his conviction on two counts
- 29:12Speaker 1: of rape and sexual assault. Weinstein's attorneys, Yeah, what't you say, Steve,
- 29:17Speaker 1: He going to jail, y'all can stop all this fighting
- 29:20Speaker 1: and appealing. So they run the build up somewhere. Because

- 29:25Speaker 1: He going to jail for this right here, which we're
- 29:29Speaker 1: going to jail. They arrested his ass, They rescinded a bond.

- 31:37Speaker 1: parts of Oh it's own in popper? What else you got? You?
- 31:53Speaker 1: All right? In other news yesterday, we all could not
- 31:56Speaker 1: believe the strength and grace that Vanessa Bryant display as
- 32:00Speaker 1: she memorialized her husband, Kobe and her daughter Gianna at
- 32:04Speaker 1: Kobe's memorial service. The other speakers included former NBA greats
- 32:08Speaker 1: Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neill, Kobe's best friend. Was there, man,
- 32:16Speaker 1: what a tribute it was though it was really attribute.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I was really moved by Michael Jordan's Yeah, his speech,
- 32:24Speaker 1: and Shaquille O'Neill shack was. He was timely and funny
- 32:31Speaker 1: and you know, lightened the mood a little bit. Yeah,
- 32:37Speaker 1: we'll talk more about that time now to catch up
- 32:40Speaker 1: Steve on today's headline. Ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp,
- 32:44Speaker 1: thank you very much, and good morning everybody. Widening concerns
- 32:47Speaker 1: over the coronavirus are affecting the stock market. Investigators nervous
- 32:51Speaker 1: investors rather nervous about the growing infection rate outside of
- 32:54Speaker 1: China and as possible economic fallout if the epidemic cannot
- 32:57Speaker 1: be contained. They are now clusses of Krona infection in
- 33:00Speaker 1: Iran where six people reported dead, in Italy when more
- 33:04Speaker 1: than two hundred people have tested positive and five have died,
- 33:07Speaker 1: and especially in South Korea where over eight hundred infections
- 33:11Speaker 1: are reported. South Korea, by the way, a big supplier
- 33:14Speaker 1: of components used by manufacturers around the world. The virus
- 33:17Speaker 1: has reported a big topic also of discussion among the
- 33:20Speaker 1: finance ministers at the G twenty summit at their meeting
- 33:23Speaker 1: last week in Saudi Arabia, and the verdict was guilty.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein convicted yesterday but a criminal
- 33:30Speaker 1: sex act and third degree rape, but Weinstein was ac
- 33:33Speaker 1: quit of the most serious allegations against him. Weinstein was
- 33:36Speaker 1: charged with a total of five counts of rape and
- 33:38Speaker 1: assault against two women in New York City, with a
- 33:40Speaker 1: third woman, actress Annabella Siora, added to support the most
- 33:44Speaker 1: serious allegations, but after thirty hours and over five days,
- 33:48Speaker 1: the juries delivered a split verdict indicate that the panel
- 33:51Speaker 1: probably didn't find Siora's account credible. Even so, Weinstein could
- 33:54Speaker 1: still face up to twenty five years or more in prison.
- 33:56Speaker 1: He also faces similar charges involving two other women in
- 33:59Speaker 1: Los Angeles, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Van says, the case
- 34:03Speaker 1: makes an important statement. I hope that with this verdict,
- 34:06Speaker 1: it will become more obvious that those kinds of attacks
- 34:09Speaker 1: on the survivors and victims where they're on the stand,
- 34:14Speaker 1: making it seem like it's all their fault, will be
- 34:17Speaker 1: realized as legal attacks that just simply are no longer
- 34:21Speaker 1: to go to work in this day and age. Weinstein,
- 34:23Speaker 1: by the way, was hospitalized after the verdict was read,
- 34:25Speaker 1: complaining of chess pains. The next Democrat debate tonight in
- 34:29Speaker 1: South Carolina, followed by South Carolina's primary, which is Saturday.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Bloomberg Mike Bloomberg will not be on the ballot for
- 34:35Speaker 1: this Saturday, but he'll be on for Super Tuesday, March third.
- 34:39Speaker 1: NASA has confirmed the death of celebrated mathematical genius Katherine Johnson.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Since so much of the achievements of black Americans is
- 34:45Speaker 1: purposely not taught, both whites as well as blacks learned
- 34:48Speaker 1: about Johnson and two of her close friends at NASA
- 34:51Speaker 1: through the Oscar nominated film Hidden Figures of Film. A
- 34:54Speaker 1: lot of people felt should have got an Oscar. At
- 34:56Speaker 1: one point in the film Astronaut John Glenn says he's
- 34:58Speaker 1: not going to lift off les. Katherine Johnson makes the calculations,
- 35:02Speaker 1: and in an interview nine years ago with public TV
- 35:04Speaker 1: station WHR ROW Visits, Johnson said that really happened. When
- 35:08Speaker 1: he got ready to go, he said, call her and
- 35:12Speaker 1: if she says the computers right, I'll take it. Katherine
- 35:16Speaker 1: Johnson was one hundred and one years old. Finally, Los
- 35:19Speaker 1: Angeles yesterday, thousands of fans of celebrity took place in
- 35:22Speaker 1: a final and said goodbye to Kobe and Gianna Bryant,
- 35:24Speaker 1: as well as seven others. The Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Will let Kobe have the last word? Dear Basketball can
- 35:31Speaker 1: take the poem back to the Steve Harvey Morning you're
- 35:34Speaker 1: listening to Harvey Morning Show. Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna,
- 35:39Speaker 1: and seven others who died in the helicopter crash that
- 35:41Speaker 1: took their lives were remembered at an emotional two hour
- 35:45Speaker 1: memorial service yesterday at the Staples Center in LA and
- 35:48Speaker 1: her first public appearance since the loss of Kobe and
- 35:51Speaker 1: her daughter GG, Vanessa delivered an emotional eulogy, Take a listen,
- 35:57Speaker 1: godnew they couldn't be on this earth. Without each other.
- 36:01Speaker 1: He had to bring them home tapping together. Babe, you
- 36:06Speaker 1: take care of our Gichi and I got Nanny BB
- 36:09Speaker 1: and Cocoa. We're still the best team. We love it.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Miss you Boo Boo and Gigie. You both rest in
- 36:16Speaker 1: peace and have fun in heaven until we meet again
- 36:20Speaker 1: one day. We love you both and miss you forever
- 36:25Speaker 1: and always. Mommy, oh my god, didn't see it. Yeah, no,
- 36:33Speaker 1: I saw all of it. Man, I watched it. It
- 36:36Speaker 1: was it was it was a you know. Uh. He
- 36:40Speaker 1: was one of those. This was one of those impactful
- 36:44Speaker 1: passings that made an impression on people. Like I said,
- 36:49Speaker 1: of all the depths I've seen over my life, and
- 36:52Speaker 1: I've seen some huge ones. I saw my mother client
- 36:56Speaker 1: at an ironing board when I came home some school, Mama,
- 36:59Speaker 1: while you Clay, they killed Kennedy. I saw my mom
- 37:02Speaker 1: and daddy sitting on the couch hugging each other crying.
- 37:05Speaker 1: I said, why y'all crying? Boor? They didn't kill Marana
- 37:09Speaker 1: Luther King. My daddy said, they killed Mara Luther King.
- 37:12Speaker 1: He said, white folks don't want us to have nothing.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I just remember him saying that that was his heart.
- 37:19Speaker 1: He didn't, and I saw both of them hugging and crime,
- 37:22Speaker 1: Michael Jackson's passing, Princess passing our leaves, passing for me,
- 37:27Speaker 1: Maurice White passing. All of us, three of us on
- 37:32Speaker 1: this show have lost our mothers off we've lost our fathers,
- 37:38Speaker 1: you understand. So we hadn't been hit with some hammers.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I'm talking about some blows that dropped most people. But
- 37:48Speaker 1: when Kobe passed, I think because of how young he
- 37:52Speaker 1: was and such an icon in sports, I've never had
- 37:56Speaker 1: more men called me to say, hey man, I love
- 38:01Speaker 1: you man. I just wanted to tell you that hanging
- 38:03Speaker 1: in man, keep doing what you're doing. I love you man.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I call so many brothers to say, hey man, I
- 38:08Speaker 1: just want to tell you I love you man. This
- 38:11Speaker 1: Kobe thin got me messed up, and I've never I
- 38:14Speaker 1: didn't see that now, But but when when Kobe passed,
- 38:19Speaker 1: I saw a lot and he was. It was just
- 38:21Speaker 1: impactful and and that sermon was really really a good
- 38:24Speaker 1: testament to him and all those people who paid. Yeah,
- 38:30Speaker 1: thank you Steve for that. Yeah uh wow. Coming up
- 38:34Speaker 1: at thirty four after the hour, Michael Jordan provided some
- 38:38Speaker 1: much needed laughter. Yesterday at Kobe's memorial service. We'll talk
- 38:41Speaker 1: about that right after this. You're listening, okay, So we're
- 38:47Speaker 1: all talking about Kobe's memorial service Kobe Bryant yesterday at
- 38:51Speaker 1: the Stables Center. What an emotional and very moving eulogy
- 38:56Speaker 1: given by Kobe's wife Vanessa. She remember her husband and
- 39:00Speaker 1: Kobe and her daughter Gigi also with tears streaming down
- 39:04Speaker 1: his face. Michael Jordan said that Kobe was his little brother,
- 39:08Speaker 1: and when Kobe died, a piece of him died too.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And did you see when Michael Jordan spoke, he offered
- 39:13Speaker 1: some laughs by saying, he'll be crying. He'll be the
- 39:16Speaker 1: crying meme again. Yeah, I take a listen. Now he's
- 39:21Speaker 1: got me. I'll have to look at another crime meme
- 39:24Speaker 1: for the next I told my wife I weren't gonna
- 39:35Speaker 1: do this because I didn't want to see that for
- 39:37Speaker 1: the next three or four years. That is what Kobe
- 39:42Speaker 1: Bryant does to me. I'm pretty sure Vanessa and his
- 39:47Speaker 1: friends all can say the same thing. He knows how
- 39:49Speaker 1: to get to you in a way that affects you personally,
- 39:54Speaker 1: even though if he's being a pain in the ass,
- 39:58Speaker 1: but he always you ever had sense of love for
- 40:01Speaker 1: him and the way that he can bring out the
- 40:03Speaker 1: best in you. M wow, that's the side of Jordan
- 40:09Speaker 1: that people rarely get to see. And he had that side.
- 40:14Speaker 1: You know. Uh several moments. You saw when he won
- 40:17Speaker 1: the title, his reaction, when his father passed, that reaction, yes,
- 40:24Speaker 1: and when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Uh,
- 40:28Speaker 1: he got up and said some stuff to really get
- 40:31Speaker 1: some stuff off his chat. People rarely get to see
- 40:33Speaker 1: that about him. Buzz Buzzer's a testament to who this
- 40:36Speaker 1: who this man? Kobe Bryant was. It was just a
- 40:39Speaker 1: great thing and the Shack added humor to it. You know. Okay,
- 40:45Speaker 1: lit I said, Kobe, there's no im. Kobe said, I know,
- 40:50Speaker 1: but there's me. And so we're back. So we're back
- 41:03Speaker 1: until Ricky and uh and big shall Bob said, just
- 41:06Speaker 1: get the rebound. He's not pass I love it, baby,
- 41:12Speaker 1: just get the rebound that fast. Wow wow mentality man. Yeah, yeah,
- 41:23Speaker 1: Kobe will be missed. We lost a great woman. Yeah yeah,
- 41:27Speaker 1: but it said me and huh uh huh, my favorite.
- 41:33Speaker 1: I was shocked that that's your He actually said the word, Oh,
- 41:38Speaker 1: hold on, hold on, you don't think he could Custom
- 41:40Speaker 1: the Staple Center before. Yeah, we got judging anything. Hey,
- 41:44Speaker 1: just like my said, he was painting there. This ain't church,
- 41:47Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, we just had more rapper. I
- 41:53Speaker 1: ain't ain't talking about it. I ain't mad at y'all.
- 41:56Speaker 1: I'm just so that's what this staples. The rapper has
- 41:58Speaker 1: been in there. We're in the stable center. We're sacred. No,
- 42:05Speaker 1: it ain't. They had a game to night. I haven't
- 42:12Speaker 1: been in that custom, the little kill center, Cossack farm,
- 42:16Speaker 1: Cossack Kodak, Yes, and the farm is the church? Now?
- 42:21Speaker 1: Was anyway? Well? It was, Yeah, it was a church
- 42:25Speaker 1: and I went in there as a church and it
- 42:27Speaker 1: was just shame for Central Bible Church. I went in
- 42:31Speaker 1: there to see bishop all more time. I would just shame.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Why were you shamed? Man? I haven't been in here
- 42:40Speaker 1: from your past? Forgive me. My opening line was, how
- 42:48Speaker 1: y'all blanket the blanks doing that? Goodness? That's how you speak.
- 42:58Speaker 1: I don't really think, man, hmm. I don't know if
- 43:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna stop cussing. I was thinking about it the
- 43:06Speaker 1: other day. I don't really see myself stopping. No. I
- 43:10Speaker 1: remember you tried it for a day. You tried it
- 43:12Speaker 1: for a day and it didn't. I think it keeps
- 43:14Speaker 1: you living minutes. I think it keeps you well. I
- 43:17Speaker 1: had it. I tried it, but I had headaches. Yes, stress,
- 43:22Speaker 1: you got a whole special. You ain't cuss alright, dog?
- 43:25Speaker 1: Right after that, you ain't see me for three weeks,
- 43:28Speaker 1: did you? You were six switching gears coming up next
- 43:35Speaker 1: to nephew in the building with today's praying phone call.
- 43:37Speaker 1: That's you're listening to, coming up at the top of
- 43:44Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after it's my strawberry

- 44:24Speaker 1: I got your name from one of the members on
- 44:25Speaker 1: the committee, and we're trying to see if you can
- 44:27Speaker 1: actually build some help for this year's Black History, uh,
- 44:30Speaker 1: for this month. I should will be glad to help. Okay, listen,
- 44:35Speaker 1: we're having an auction tomorrow and wanted to see if
- 44:37Speaker 1: you could actually maybe build some help with the auction
- 44:40Speaker 1: that we actually have going on tomorrow. Yes, do I
- 44:44Speaker 1: need to donate anything or but no, no, we're not
- 44:49Speaker 1: really trying to get some donation from you this time.
- 44:51Speaker 1: We're trying to see if you have some time tomorrow
- 44:53Speaker 1: to come out and actually help out with the actual auction. Okay,
- 44:57Speaker 1: what time tomorrow? Probably like about nine o'clock in the morning.
- 45:01Speaker 1: I can do that, Okay. Now we're asking that you
- 45:04Speaker 1: wear something that you'll be comfortable in all day tomorrow possible, okay, okay,
- 45:09Speaker 1: pretty much an all day event that we're trying to
- 45:11Speaker 1: get you to do. Okay, I could be there around nine,
- 45:14Speaker 1: but then we have to leave about four. Well, I'll
- 45:16Speaker 1: tell you what. We'll see what we can how we
- 45:18Speaker 1: can work it out, but we definitely want you to
- 45:20Speaker 1: come and be a part of what we're doing. So
- 45:22Speaker 1: what is it that you really need be to do? Um? Well, actually,
- 45:26Speaker 1: you know, we we we got a lot of people
- 45:27Speaker 1: doing different things at the you know, at the auction,
- 45:30Speaker 1: you know, so we just want you to come out
- 45:31Speaker 1: and be of some help with everything that's going on. Okay,
- 45:35Speaker 1: well I want to be prepared. So what exactly do
- 45:37Speaker 1: I need to do? Work the confessions stand something like that. No, really,
- 45:41Speaker 1: what we had is actually you being a part of
- 45:43Speaker 1: the auction, of being a part of the auction such
- 45:47Speaker 1: as well, what we're doing tomorrow is we have already
- 45:51Speaker 1: we already have fifty people who are signed up and
- 45:53Speaker 1: you would be you know, one of those people that
- 45:56Speaker 1: are that are that are signed up to do the
- 45:57Speaker 1: actual What is is we have and slaves for a
- 46:01Speaker 1: day and what we're gonna be doing is auctioning you
- 46:03Speaker 1: off and somebody's gonna buy you tomorrow and you will
- 46:06Speaker 1: be there for the day slaves. Yeah, you will be
- 46:10Speaker 1: the slave for the day. That's what That's what we've
- 46:12Speaker 1: decided to do with the black history. We've decided. I
- 46:15Speaker 1: din't mean I don't I want to participate, but being
- 46:19Speaker 1: a slave no. Okay, but see what you I want
- 46:23Speaker 1: you to understand that this is a word that calls
- 46:25Speaker 1: though you know, we want saying worthy call, but I'm
- 46:28Speaker 1: not gonna be no play. Well, well you I mean
- 46:30Speaker 1: you don't have to call it a slave. I mean
- 46:32Speaker 1: as a servant, you know, a butler. You know what

- 46:58Speaker 1: I am turning your down. Don't call me with that
- 47:00Speaker 1: kind of no more. I mean, I don't understand what
- 47:03Speaker 1: what the problem is. You know, sometimes we got to
- 47:05Speaker 1: repeat history so we don't go back to the history.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Sometimes we got to do it again so we don't
- 47:10Speaker 1: go back to what you understand. But it isn't seem

- 48:19Speaker 1: to get you in the in the frame of mind

- 48:35Speaker 1: bring you my house? Do you better not? Do you
- 48:39Speaker 1: understand me? I am march for civil rights. I don't
- 48:43Speaker 1: have time for no like that. You I understand, but
- 48:47Speaker 1: right now we're trying to raise some money for black
- 48:49Speaker 1: history and we need to sell you tomorrow morning. You're
- 48:52Speaker 1: not gonna sell me. You're not gonna sell me. You
- 48:55Speaker 1: will no come my house no more? Do you understand?

- 50:45Speaker 1: those slaves. I'm gonna come to your house tomorrow. I
- 50:48Speaker 1: wish you would. That's the black people's favorite. I come

- 52:13Speaker 1: Bugle up, hold on tight, We got it for you here.
- 52:16Speaker 1: It is Drawberry letter, subject A House Divided by Politics.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, My wife and I have been married
- 52:25Speaker 1: for seventeen years and have always considered ourselves to be
- 52:28Speaker 1: a politically conscious black couple. We're both grads of an
- 52:32Speaker 1: HBCU and we have great jobs. Our marriage was always solid,
- 52:37Speaker 1: and we were die hard Democrats. We worked hard to
- 52:41Speaker 1: get Obama elected for his first term and second term.
- 52:45Speaker 1: During President Obama's second term in office, my wife lost
- 52:48Speaker 1: her job and she blamed it totally on President Obama.
- 52:53Speaker 1: There were some trade agreements that affected her job and
- 52:55Speaker 1: she was laid off because of that. She got a
- 52:58Speaker 1: new job at a bank, and she started hanging out
- 53:01Speaker 1: with her new coworkers who were all very conservative Republicans.
- 53:06Speaker 1: They eventually brainwatched my wife, and believe it or not,
- 53:10Speaker 1: my wife voted for Trump. Throughout Trump's administration. My wife
- 53:14Speaker 1: has seen nothing wrong with his behavior and how he
- 53:18Speaker 1: runs the country. She makes excuses for his sexiest and
- 53:21Speaker 1: racist ways, and it drives me crazy. The other night,
- 53:26Speaker 1: we watched the debates and she said I was a
- 53:28Speaker 1: fool to follow any of them. The next day, she
- 53:31Speaker 1: put a Trump for America's sign in our front yard.
- 53:35Speaker 1: I took it out and she put it right back.
- 53:37Speaker 1: She recently joined the Black Republican Coalition with those fake
- 53:42Speaker 1: high class demons at her job. But the last straw
- 53:45Speaker 1: for me was when she donated five hundred dollars of
- 53:50Speaker 1: my hard earned money to Trump's campaign. I lost my mind,
- 53:55Speaker 1: and she told me that if I didn't like it,
- 53:58Speaker 1: I could leave. Neighbors think we are crazy and our
- 54:02Speaker 1: old friends don't associate with us because of her belief
- 54:06Speaker 1: in Trump. I've talked to a lawyer about divorcing her
- 54:10Speaker 1: because we have We've both changed a lot in the
- 54:14Speaker 1: last six years. I do not see us making it
- 54:16Speaker 1: to November in the same house. She needs help, and
- 54:20Speaker 1: I need peace. Help her brother out. How should I
- 54:24Speaker 1: handle this? Wow? You know, I mean we've heard about
- 54:29Speaker 1: since Donald Trump has been elected. You know when people
- 54:32Speaker 1: come over for like the holidays and things like that,
- 54:37Speaker 1: you know, they try not to discuss politics because when
- 54:40Speaker 1: they do, heated arguments in sue and but this is
- 54:44Speaker 1: a little more serious. I mean, you guys are married,
- 54:47Speaker 1: and this is a major problem in your house. And
- 54:49Speaker 1: and like you said November, come election time, it's really
- 54:53Speaker 1: going to be rough if if your wife still feels
- 54:55Speaker 1: the same way and you still feel the same way.
- 54:58Speaker 1: More so, this is a problem in your marriage though,
- 55:01Speaker 1: because of you know of what she's doing. I mean,
- 55:05Speaker 1: she's saying things like if you don't like what she
- 55:08Speaker 1: did with the money, you could leave. I don't see
- 55:11Speaker 1: how you guys are gonna get past this. I mean,
- 55:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna try, but I don't see it right now.
- 55:16Speaker 1: You're already talking about divorce. You're right, people do change
- 55:20Speaker 1: in marriages. You guys have been married for seventeen years.
- 55:24Speaker 1: You say you've both changed a lot in six years.
- 55:27Speaker 1: You don't say specifically what that means. But the hope,
- 55:30Speaker 1: of course, is to change and to grow together. You
- 55:34Speaker 1: don't want to grow apart, and you certainly don't want
- 55:36Speaker 1: to do that because of politics. I don't know what's
- 55:39Speaker 1: going down on down there at your wife's job, but
- 55:45Speaker 1: it didn't seem to be that hard to change her mind.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I mean, she was already mad at Obama when she
- 55:49Speaker 1: lost her job. You know she gave them money. You
- 55:55Speaker 1: say she gave them your money. Do you mean your
- 55:58Speaker 1: personal money or are you talking about just you know,
- 56:02Speaker 1: our money, the money that you guys have together, But
- 56:06Speaker 1: you did specifically say you're hard earned money. I mean,
- 56:11Speaker 1: I don't see how she's going to come back from this.
- 56:14Speaker 1: If she's really a Trump supporter, she's already joined the
- 56:17Speaker 1: Black Republican Coalition. I just don't see politics as a
- 56:21Speaker 1: reason to divorce a person. But you know, she's calling
- 56:28Speaker 1: you a fool and doing all these things. It just
- 56:31Speaker 1: doesn't seem like she's going to be able to come
- 56:33Speaker 1: back from this. And you guys are gonna be able
- 56:36Speaker 1: to get past this. You're gonna let Donald Trump come
- 56:41Speaker 1: between your marriage? You know, come on, even if he
- 56:46Speaker 1: does win this next term, it's just for four more years,
- 56:49Speaker 1: all right. You guys maybe need to check out some
- 56:52Speaker 1: marriage counseling or something, because this is pretty serious to
- 56:56Speaker 1: divorce over Donald Trump. I don't think he should destroy marriage. Steve. Yeah, well, okay,
- 57:03Speaker 1: good glad you're asked me, because that ain't how I feel.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Let me gonna get into it. Been married seventeen years.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Politically conscious black couple. Y'all both graduated from HBCU, got
- 57:16Speaker 1: some good jobs, solid marriage, die hard Democrats worked hard
- 57:21Speaker 1: to get Obama elected second term. Your wife lost her job,
- 57:27Speaker 1: totally blamed it on President Obama, like her fucking company
- 57:30Speaker 1: ain't had nothing to do with it. You know, maybe
- 57:33Speaker 1: they was doing something bad in trade that was hurting
- 57:35Speaker 1: American workers or something. He pulled a plug on it.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Some trade agreements, gave up, a job, got laid off.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Now she blaming him for getting laid off. The hell
- 57:45Speaker 1: I got to do with it, man, Now she just
- 57:48Speaker 1: started hanging out with your new co workers. They all
- 57:50Speaker 1: conservative Republicans and they haven't brainwashed her, and your wife
- 57:54Speaker 1: voted for Trump. I'm out marriage over being play right
- 58:01Speaker 1: after this, all right, we'll have part two of Steve's
- 58:03Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour's
- 58:06Speaker 1: subject A House divided by Politics. We'll be back right
- 58:11Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on, Let's
- 58:17Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject A House divided by politics.
- 58:22Speaker 1: Nice little h B B HBCU, couple good jobs. Die
- 58:27Speaker 1: hard Democrats worked to get Obama elected second term. He
- 58:31Speaker 1: passed some policies she felt they got her job, laid off,
- 58:34Speaker 1: some trade agreements. She got laid all cause of that
- 58:37Speaker 1: she got a new job at the bank, started hanging
- 58:40Speaker 1: out with a new coworkers. They all very conservative Republican
- 58:45Speaker 1: data brainwash your wife, and believe it or not, your
- 58:48Speaker 1: wife voted for Trump. Now all throughout the administration, your
- 58:53Speaker 1: wife has seen nothing wrong he do with his behavior.
- 58:55Speaker 1: So let me explain something to you. Once you become
- 58:58Speaker 1: a Trump follower, you have got to blot out anything
- 59:03Speaker 1: wrong he'd do because or else you can't follow him.
- 59:08Speaker 1: That's the first thing you got to do to become
- 59:12Speaker 1: a Trump follower is you have to blot out and
- 59:16Speaker 1: ignore all the wrong he does. You cannot view this
- 59:22Speaker 1: and be a Trump follower. You've got to act like
- 59:26Speaker 1: he's done nothing wrong. That's the only way. She makes
- 59:30Speaker 1: excuses for a sexist and racist ways and drive me crazy.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Another night, y'all watching the debate, and she said, if
- 59:36Speaker 1: you're a fool for following any of what if you
- 59:38Speaker 1: follow any of though? Next day, this crazy woman go
- 59:44Speaker 1: outside and put a Trump for America sign up in
- 59:46Speaker 1: the front yard in front of my damn house. My
- 59:50Speaker 1: black ant's pulling up after work and I gotta for
- 59:53Speaker 1: Trump sign in my damn yard. Oh not the heir
- 59:57Speaker 1: We ate so I took it back down. She put
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: it right back. She didn't join the Black Republican Coalition,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: another confused group of people with them, fake high class
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: demons at her job. But the last straw was she
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: donated five hundred dollars on my hard money to the
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Trump campaign. Five hundred dollars to the Donald Trump campaign.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: If Donald Trump is who he saying is why he
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: needs your money, Bloomberg ain't ask for nothing night now,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: and they're mad at him. I lost my mind. She
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: told me. If I didn't like it, I could leave.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Our neighbors. Think we're crazy, y'all are you? Ain't got
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: no more damn friends, no more because they quit talking
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: to y'all because they're not coming over this half of
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: a house. But just Trump had them. She not gonna
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: do it. I talked to a lawyer, cap she got
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: that maker Maryland break hat on again. You got a
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: picture of stroking car Michael on your T shirt. This
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: ain't that enough. We've both changed a lot in the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: last six years. I don't see us making it in
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: November in the same house. She needs help and I
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: need peace, helper brother out of hush, and I handling
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: divorce hull. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like that divorce
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Hull that's over. You just said, hey, divorce Hull, leave hull. Dog.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: It ain't even be no piece. She putting up Trump
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: sign donating five hundred dollars of Donald Trump. Leave, huh.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Find you somebody like Brendon Sanders or any damn body.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I don't care if you find somebody like Elizabeth One,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: find you somebody else. She's gonna catch house sitting in
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: that house. And if he makes the presidency again, which
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: it looks like he will, if the dim crash don't
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: hear him, get their stuff together, which they don't show
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: any signs of doing. We tanned each other apart. We're
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: gonna mess around and let this man back in. He
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: didn't got rid of everybody in his cabinet that ain't
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: went to jail. If you ain't going to jail, y'aut
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: more people in his cabinet has been arrested and put
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: in jail than since I've been alive. His whole cabinet
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: didn't quadruple the amount of people that went to jail
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: in the Watergate scandal. And if you testified against him,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: all y'all's ass is gone. He's got the highest turnover
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: rate of anybody in politics. Dog. Just do right here,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: listen to me. Leave her dog. Since she hadn't told
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you either like it or leave it, you can issue
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: you an ultimatum. You either stop supporting Donald Trump. I'm
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: leaving your heads. Well, he's talked to someone about divorcing
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: because it's but see, it's more than just they. It
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: ain't more than the Trump sign in the five hundred dollars.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: She don't want to sleep with him no more. She's disrespectful. Yeah,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: see she holding back. She wants to sleep in a
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Mega hat. And he not gonna get in the bed
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: with someone at the Black Republican Coalition or down. She
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: in the bed. She got on it a Trump nightie
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: and a Mega hat. She got. She got Malaria Trump
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: roller collection. She rolling her hair with Melatia Trump Roller collection.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: She using Ivanka Trump facial cream at night. She got.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: She'd have bought you for Father's Day. Wanted them long
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: ass Donald Trump ties. It covers your big valley. Your
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: ass is all right, Steve, we gotta go. You can

- 1:04:14Speaker 1: minutes after the hour more trending topics right after this
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Unfortunately, we have some more bad
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: news to report Miss Katherine Johnson. She was one of
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: the pioneering NASA mathematicians. She was portrayed by Taraji p Henson.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Remember the movie Hiven Figures. It was nominated for twenty sixteen. Yeah,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: mine too, Steve. She passed away on Monday. She was
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: one hundred and one years old. Yeah, wow, Manji, one
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: hundred and one. Yeah, one oh one. Taraji posted on
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: our social media page, thank you Queen for sharing your intelligence, poise, grace,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and beauty with the world. Because of your hard work,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: little girls everywhere can dream as big as the moon.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: And representatives from NASA said missus Catherine Johnson was an
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: American hero and her pioneering legacy will never be forgotten. Wow.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: That's yeah, I mean, and they really were hidden figures? Yeah,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: because I didn't know about them until the movie. Yeah,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: until the movie. Yeah, let me tell you something about that.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: But let me tell you something. I never heard of
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: it in uh, you know, in school and nothing right, nothing,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: no history about it. Even in Black History Month, we
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: didn't learn about it. Yeah, but NASA was right down
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: the street from our house and they ain't never seen it, nothing, nothing,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: these women, I mean, yeah, hey, because you know what, man,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: It's like we would never taught that in school. I
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: didn't know anything really about hidden figures until the movie
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: came out. I didn't get that lesson nowhere in school,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: none of it at all Black history and high school.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I didn't get another You know, how many black little
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: girls could have been inspired by this story if they
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: knew about us, about this history lesson with It's just unbelievable, right,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: I mean you think about history. John Glenn said that
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: he would not go until miss Katherine Johnson said it
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: was okay, Yeah, what did her numbers say? She said yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: she said he's yeah. She says I can go, then
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I will go. What are hurting? Right? And and we're
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: talking a mathematician here, Okay, she's dealing with numbers and
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Matt you know, can't be a little off. He got
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: to be dead onf okay to the moon rocket up
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: until the yeah, you know, give it. He can't be
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: no give a tap, Yeah, give a take two feet
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: carry a one. That's how she do man, she carries
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: the wa Yeah. Yeah, we'll rest in peace, missus. Catherine Johnson. Okay,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: no longer a hidden figure. All right, well listen, go
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: check out the movie. You could check it out. And
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, changing your
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: routine is good for your brain. We're gonna talk about
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: that right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Now
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: before we get to this story about changing your routine,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: it's good for your brain. Uh that we tease you
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: want to you have something to say about Dion Cole comedian. Yeah,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you know he wore on tour with the nephew. He

- 1:07:51Speaker 1: and uh the somebody on rare carpet or something, yeah,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: for the naac him. Oh I didn't hear that. And
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: so he wore a bill bottom suit by Gucci and
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: his velvet and somebody accused him or being a g
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: A Y A S S N word. Wow. Not this
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: dude's pretty harsh and and and you know what, see, okay,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: two things. First of all, if you look at the
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: picture closely, he's standing in front of his shadow. So
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: the shadow has him looking way wider than he actually is.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: He's in front of a shadow. But let me tell
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: you something, man, see Baill bottoms. For those of you

- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Take a listen. God knew they couldn't be on this

- 1:14:41Speaker 1: and miss you forever and always. Mommy, oh my god,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: that's starting. Yeah. No, I saw all of it, man,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: I watched it. It was it was it was a
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: you know h he was one of those. This was
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: one of those impactful passes that made an impression on people.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Like I said, of all the deaths I've seen over
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: my life, and I've seen some huge ones. I saw
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: my mother crying at an ironing board when I came
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: from some school. Mama, why you crying? They killed Kennedy.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: I saw my mom and daddy sitting on the couch
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: hugging each other crying. I said, why y'all crying? Boy,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: they didn't kill Martin Luther King. My daddy said, they
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: killed Mara Luther King. He said, white folks don't want
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: us to have nothing. I just remember him saying that
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: that was his heart. He didn't And I saw both
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: of them hugging and crime. Michael Jackson's passing, Princess passing
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: our leaves, passing for me, Maurice White passing. All of us,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: three of us on this show have lost our mothers,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: We've lost our fathers, you understand. So we don't been
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: hit with some hammers. I'm talking about some blows that
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: drop most people. But when Kobe passed, I think, because
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: of how young he was and such an icon in sports,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I've never had more men called me to say, hey man,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I love you. Man. I just wanted to tell you
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: that hanging there, man, keep doing what you're doing. I
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: love you. Man. I called so many brothers to say,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: hey man, I just want to tell you I love you. Man.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: This this Kobe th ain't got me messed up. And
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I've never I didn't see that now, but but when
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: but when Kobe passed, I saw a lot and he was.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: It was just impactful and and that sermon was really
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: really a good testament to him and all those people
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: who passed. Yeah, thank you Steve for that. Yeah. Uh wow.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Coming up our last break of the day and some
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: closing inspiring Steve Harvey in forty nine minutes after the hour.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve. We're ready for
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: your closing remarks. Everybody, my closing remarks today. This is
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: what I've chosen to do. Um. I have variations of
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: this when I'm talking as a speaker and things like that,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: but I'm gonna go a different way with you today. Uh.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: There's a saying that if you're the smartest person in
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: your group, then you need a new group. I want you,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I want you all to just think about that for
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: a minute. If you're the smartest person in your group,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: you need a new group. Now. I've been very, very
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: guilty of this, not saying that I was smarter than
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: everybody else, but I had been exposed more than a
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: certain group of people I had employed and had hanging
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: around me. I had been exposed to more things. I
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: naturally was making more because they were mostly employees. I
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: wanted more, and because of the fact that I had
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: more and more was required of me, I just had
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: bigger dreams. I out dreamed everybody in my group, and
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: it just gotten to a point. And I'm saying this
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: because I want you all to put everything into perspective.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: As I'm talking to you, just imagine at your place
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: in your life that if you're the one that's constantly
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: coming up with the ideas, you're the one constantly coming
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: up with the solution. You're the one everybody turns to
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: for guidance. You're the person always picking up the tab.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: You're the person that's the only one who's dreaming really big.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: You're the one that's pulling the wagon, and you happen
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: to be carrying everybody that's on It. Ain't not of
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: your associates getting off the wagon to help you pull it,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: push it, guide it or nothing. They just own the
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: wagon and you're doing all the pullet. You need a
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: new group. You need a new group. Now. The problem
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: with acquiring this new group, it's gonna be that the
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: fact is inevitable. You have to get rid of the
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: old group. And it's hard. It's hard cutting people lose
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: because for the most part, you're just a nice person.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Because you start beating yourself up with stuff that has
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: nothing to do with you. Well, if if I let
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: them go, what they're gonna do, Man, How his family
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: gonna eat, How her family gonna survive, How they gonna
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: if I let them go? Man, how they gonna feel
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: about me? What will they say about me? What will
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: the other group members think about me? But you know something, man,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: that's not your job. And I'm not trying to sound
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: cold and callous, but it's just not your job. They
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: are responsible for themselves. But through this meaningless emotion called guilt,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: they will make you feel guilty about letting them go
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: and making them stop riding up the heel in your
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: wagon for free. And they use guilt, which is the
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: most meaningless emotion, and they give it to you all
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: the time. Y'all, do yourself a favor. Stop doing that.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: Stop carrying people who should be walking themselves. Stop pulling
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: people up the heeling your wagon when they need to
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: get their own wagon to pull. Stop. Do yourself a favor.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Get yourself a new group. They will be fine, because
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. This is something my
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: father used to say to me all the time. What
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: would you do if you didn't know me? And I
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: used to never understand what my father said that until
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: I got older, but I hear him saying it to
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: me all the time. People come to you ask you
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: for money because I know you got it because you're
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: doing better than them. Well, you work harder than them,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: so quite naturally you should be doing better than them.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Now they come to you and lay this guilt. Man,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: you didn't came up and all of us and over
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: all of us and left us back then. Man, we're
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: so proud of you. Let me hold. My father used
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: to say, if you didn't know me, what would you do?
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: So I started incorporating that in my life. If you
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: didn't have my number, who would you call? I cannot
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: be everybody's emergency. If you are everybody's emergency phone call,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: you need a new group. They're gonna bring you down, man,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: I'm telling you, they're going to bring you down. And
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: when you go down, guess what, They're gonna get another
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: emergency number. They're not gonna be there for you. All
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: these people that use you as their emergency, do you
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: have the ability to use them as your emergency? I
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: think not. It's time to look at getting a new
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: group now. You can sever the ties with these people now,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: or you can wait until a major event occurs. That's
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: gonna cause you have to break it off and it's
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: gonna be a lot more painful and a lot more costly,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: you know. But Bishop Jake said one time, sometimes you
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: have to let people go so they can be freed
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: up to go be who they're supposed to be. Because
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: some people just hanging on cause it's comfortable, because you've
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: made it comfortable for people. And I'm talking to everybody
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: out there. This ain't for me or people who have employees,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: for people who have people in their lives. It's constantly
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: pulling on you. Man. For twenty dollars here, farty dollars here,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: a hundred over here my light bill went off. They
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: cut this off. They calling me, I'm behind on my taxes,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: my income tax check. Can't hear you? Man o, man
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: o man? How many times do you get that? Stop
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: being everybody's emergency phone call? Because if they didn't know you,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: what would they do? You know what my father used
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: to say, When they don't know you, what would they do?
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: They need to get on get to doing it. You
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: can't save everybody because they'll bring each other. You're the
