- 0:24Speaker 1: to mother. Stay. I don't join jo. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn you. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn you got to turn them out. Then turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come, come on your thing, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: show will a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I said, come on now, I dig me the one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, Now,
- 2:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna be really honest with you this morning. I
- 2:17Speaker 1: really don't know what to say. I really don't. I
- 2:25Speaker 1: was sitting here and I was thinking, what do I
- 2:28Speaker 1: say today. I do know that I want to be encouraging,
- 2:35Speaker 1: uplifting and inspirational in some way to affect somebody today. Oftentimes,
- 2:42Speaker 1: these conversations that I have in the mornings, they're designed
- 2:47Speaker 1: with me because I needed myself, y'all, to be honest
- 2:52Speaker 1: with you. I mean, you know who makes the comedian laugh?
- 2:58Speaker 1: I used to say all the time, And even though
- 3:01Speaker 1: what we talk about in the morning is not a
- 3:03Speaker 1: laughing matter, it kind of likes it's who I am today.
- 3:08Speaker 1: You know, I need motivation in my life sometimes myself.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I think when I get in moments like this, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: often resort back to the same thing over and over
- 3:23Speaker 1: and over. And when I find myself in certain predicaments,
- 3:30Speaker 1: I can always fall back on the same thing over
- 3:32Speaker 1: and over. So while I'm sitting here trying to figure
- 3:36Speaker 1: out what to say to you, the one thing that
- 3:40Speaker 1: I did do this morning that I find to be
- 3:43Speaker 1: very consistent in me is that I find myself grateful.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I'm ever grateful for the things that God has done
- 3:52Speaker 1: for me. I may not always know what to say,
- 3:57Speaker 1: but I know how to say thank you. I do.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I know how to remember and reflect back on where
- 4:04Speaker 1: I come from. I know how to realize where all
- 4:10Speaker 1: my blessings come from. I'm very very conscious of my
- 4:16Speaker 1: journey that I've been on, the the one that was
- 4:20Speaker 1: from then until now, that journey right there is it's been.
- 4:26Speaker 1: It's been. It's been. It's been difficult, man, it really
- 4:30Speaker 1: really has. I ain't gonna lie to you, um me,
- 4:35Speaker 1: becoming successful was very difficult. But as hard as this
- 4:42Speaker 1: is to say, I really really mean this. I wouldn't
- 4:48Speaker 1: change nothing about the trip I've been on number one
- 4:54Speaker 1: because I can't change anything about it. So I never
- 4:59Speaker 1: lived my life in regret. But the main thing is
- 5:03Speaker 1: was I discovered along the way now, not doing the
- 5:08Speaker 1: process when you're going through rough moments that you can't
- 5:12Speaker 1: hardly see the good in it at the time. It's
- 5:15Speaker 1: just rough for you and it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes
- 5:19Speaker 1: I thought it was unfair. But as I am now,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I needed every single thing that happened to me, that
- 5:27Speaker 1: happened to me to happen to me. I hope that
- 5:33Speaker 1: makes sense to you. I needed everything to happen in
- 5:38Speaker 1: the exact order and the exact way that it happened
- 5:43Speaker 1: in order for me to be the person that I've become.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And that right there, man, is just very comforting to me.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Missus Jakes told me one time, he said, the closer
- 5:57Speaker 1: you get to God, the more friendly you all become,
- 6:02Speaker 1: the more He will reveal to you the how it
- 6:07Speaker 1: comes and the what fays of a lot of things
- 6:10Speaker 1: that's happened to you. Because a lot of times what
- 6:13Speaker 1: troubles us is we just can't understand why we lost
- 6:16Speaker 1: that love one back then. We just can't understand why
- 6:20Speaker 1: we didn't get what we wanted back then. We just
- 6:24Speaker 1: don't understand how come our plan didn't work out and
- 6:28Speaker 1: we had to fail so miserably back then, we don't
- 6:31Speaker 1: understand the answers to these things. Well, the closer I've
- 6:35Speaker 1: gotten to God, the more of those explanations have become
- 6:38Speaker 1: crystal clear to me. And See, the one thing that
- 6:42Speaker 1: I came to the realization everybody is that the things
- 6:45Speaker 1: that was happening to me, they wasn't really all bad.
- 6:50Speaker 1: They really wasn't that they didn't taste good. When it
- 6:53Speaker 1: was happening, I didn't enjoy what I was going through.
- 6:57Speaker 1: But as I look back on him and reflect now,
- 6:59Speaker 1: it wasn't all bad. Some of those things was so
- 7:01Speaker 1: necessary for me to get the information because say, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: don't know about you, but I'm kind of hard headed
- 7:06Speaker 1: and stubborn. I said, I don't know about you, but
- 7:10Speaker 1: I'm kind of hard headed and stubborn. I kind of
- 7:14Speaker 1: like to think that I know something about some things
- 7:18Speaker 1: every now and then, and the things I am convinced about,
- 7:22Speaker 1: I don't really really care for people trying to talk
- 7:25Speaker 1: me off mine, so I can be stubborn and hard
- 7:29Speaker 1: headed sometimes God knows that about me. So I think
- 7:33Speaker 1: to get some of the messages crystal clear through the
- 7:36Speaker 1: me that I needed to learn. That was this process
- 7:38Speaker 1: I had to go through. That process was my journey,
- 7:42Speaker 1: It was my trip. It was my WOA, my pain. Say,
- 7:46Speaker 1: everybody got them different, It don't matter what it is.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Everybody got a WOA, everybody got a pain, everybody got
- 7:52Speaker 1: a trial, everybody got some tribulations, everybody got some challenge.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I don't care who you are, duds, Quit looking at
- 7:58Speaker 1: me thinking that I gotta going on so tough man
- 8:01Speaker 1: If Steve, yeah, it's easy for you to say that,
- 8:04Speaker 1: but you ain't here. You don't know. Wow, Ben, if
- 8:08Speaker 1: you would stop hanging yourself up on your pass worrying
- 8:11Speaker 1: about your woes and your troubles and the situation you're in,
- 8:16Speaker 1: and start praying and start asking God to get you
- 8:20Speaker 1: through it. See a lot of times you messed it.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You messed a message up yourself, because when you're going
- 8:25Speaker 1: through some stuff, you ask God to remove it and
- 8:28Speaker 1: take it away. That ain't the lesson. You got to
- 8:30Speaker 1: learn your lesson sometimes it's it's gotta be how to
- 8:34Speaker 1: be strong, how to see it through, how to bear
- 8:39Speaker 1: under it, how to carry that weight long distances for
- 8:43Speaker 1: long periods of time. That's how you get strong The
- 8:47Speaker 1: lesson is to make you stronger. But to make you stronger,
- 8:50Speaker 1: you got to carry the weight. You can't get stronger.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You're gonna go to gym or you're gonna do something
- 8:54Speaker 1: at your house to lift your own body weight. See,
- 8:57Speaker 1: a lot of people can't even do push ups down.
- 9:02Speaker 1: They can't get down, And then the course of a day,
- 9:05Speaker 1: give you a hundred push ups because they ain't. They ain't,
- 9:08Speaker 1: they ain't never try to daybody. They get to twenty
- 9:12Speaker 1: and that shake it so bad they stop. That's too
- 9:14Speaker 1: much for me. Well, let me tell you something. So
- 9:16Speaker 1: I learned to quit praying to take stuff away. My
- 9:19Speaker 1: prayer became to give me the strength to handle it.
- 9:21Speaker 1: People oftentimes ask me, how do you do all that
- 9:24Speaker 1: you do in the course of the day. I don't
- 9:27Speaker 1: really know. I just know I can because I know
- 9:32Speaker 1: God don't put more on you than you can back.
- 9:35Speaker 1: So when you ask me how you do all of
- 9:37Speaker 1: what you do in the course of the day, I
- 9:39Speaker 1: got God. God is good. He'll get you through whatever
- 9:44Speaker 1: it is you're going through. So when you're tripping in
- 9:45Speaker 1: you don't know what to say. Reflect and be grateful
- 9:50Speaker 1: for all you reflect on. Think about God's goodness and
- 9:54Speaker 1: watch what he do for you. That's the cold part. Okay,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening Morning show. Ladies and gentlemen, may have you
- 10:04Speaker 1: undivided attention. Please, this is is Steve Harvey Morning Try

- 11:33Speaker 1: up with a hit. Tried Jesus not me, not me,
- 11:41Speaker 1: don't try me. Why did he say that, Deacon, because
- 11:46Speaker 1: of what reason had at the hands at the yes
- 11:50Speaker 1: and the other boy I don't know his name, but
- 11:55Speaker 1: he said try Jesus, please don't try me. And why
- 12:01Speaker 1: did he say that? Brod God, I have no problem.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'm throwing the hand because I'll fight m We want
- 12:13Speaker 1: to discuss this for a moment. All right, there's a
- 12:19Speaker 1: new generation of Christians. Uh, we ain't gonna take no
- 12:26Speaker 1: sugar honey iced tea Christians. But that together. But we
- 12:35Speaker 1: we we swinging back now as we are. The reason
- 12:40Speaker 1: we've given birth to this new generation of Christian is
- 12:46Speaker 1: because of the bull crap that's coming out of the
- 12:52Speaker 1: White House. So since this made it is up there
- 12:58Speaker 1: creating divisiveness, we have gotten together decided that we're gonna
- 13:04Speaker 1: do what decon. We're gonna throw these hands. That's what
- 13:08Speaker 1: we're gonna do. Try Jesus, Yeah, please don't try me,
- 13:14Speaker 1: don't try me. We're gonna do what. We're gonna throw
- 13:19Speaker 1: these t I need a cue. We're gonna throw hands,
- 13:24Speaker 1: sow in hands swinging and bringing. Yeah, I'm sorry, I
- 13:31Speaker 1: don't know my lads answer all right? The hour We'll
- 13:38Speaker 1: still try Jesus, but not us. And Steve's asked the CLO.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Segment that's coming up to right after this. You're listening
- 13:46Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, time for Steve's
- 13:50Speaker 1: favorite segment, asked the CLO. The Chief Love Officer. Oh,
- 13:56Speaker 1: you can submit your questions in Steve Harvey FM. Are
- 14:00Speaker 1: you ready, mister c l Oh? Of course, of course,
- 14:03Speaker 1: all right, of course, here we go. This one's from
- 14:05Speaker 1: Sonia and Hampton, Virginia. I don't know what that voice was.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm dating a man that's seventeen years older, and we
- 14:11Speaker 1: waited ninety days to be intimate. He was bragging about
- 14:16Speaker 1: all the things he was going to do to me,
- 14:18Speaker 1: and boy did he lie. The whole experience lasted two
- 14:23Speaker 1: point five minutes, and he fell asleep on top of me,
- 14:27Speaker 1: and the right side of my body went numb. He
- 14:31Speaker 1: got up four times during the night to use the bathroom,
- 14:34Speaker 1: and I woke up each time. Since then, I have
- 14:37Speaker 1: been making excuses not to sleep with him. I like him,
- 14:40Speaker 1: but I think he may be too old for me.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Do you think this was just a one time thing
- 14:45Speaker 1: or is this just what it's like to be an
- 14:46Speaker 1: older man. No, his ass is getting up. He ain't
- 14:50Speaker 1: gonna have he getting up. Yeah, he laid off. He
- 14:54Speaker 1: won't too, boy, hugo, wish he had it. Got it goodness,
- 15:03Speaker 1: you're gonna get your ass up. I don't know what
- 15:08Speaker 1: that is, but you gonna get your ass up four times?
- 15:13Speaker 1: You know now be you know, you know eventually you
- 15:15Speaker 1: learn how to sleep through it. But your problem is
- 15:17Speaker 1: the two minutes and then falling to sleep and your
- 15:20Speaker 1: left side going off. And then after he lied about
- 15:24Speaker 1: what all he was gonna do, he did all he
- 15:26Speaker 1: said he was gonna do. You just didn't know it
- 15:28Speaker 1: was gonna be that quick, in record time. He did
- 15:33Speaker 1: all of what he said he was gonna do. Bring it,
- 15:37Speaker 1: slang it, crumbling it up, twist it, rubb it, flipping.
- 15:43Speaker 1: He did all that. He just packed it in in
- 15:46Speaker 1: two minutes. He did all of it. You just ain't
- 15:50Speaker 1: had time to react to none who point five minutes?
- 15:56Speaker 1: So she sang, is this just the one time thing?
- 15:58Speaker 1: Or is this what it's like with an older man? No? No, no, no, no,
- 16:02Speaker 1: no you you you the time ain't got nothing to
- 16:05Speaker 1: do with your age. Let him four trips to the bathroom.
- 16:09Speaker 1: He gonna make them. This's gonna have to happen. Yeah,
- 16:12Speaker 1: special if you're trying to do your water. Yeah, all right, Steve,
- 16:22Speaker 1: here we go. Danielle in Lansing, Michigan. My husband and
- 16:26Speaker 1: I have got to have the worst marriage ever. He's
- 16:29Speaker 1: cheated on me several times, and when I tried to
- 16:32Speaker 1: get back at him, I failed miserably. I had an
- 16:35Speaker 1: affair and we did it on my living room couch.
- 16:38Speaker 1: My husband found a little piece of the condom rapper,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and he thought I was trying to be funny to
- 16:43Speaker 1: make him jealous. He never even suspected me of cheating,
- 16:46Speaker 1: so I got mad. I wanted him to be hurt
- 16:49Speaker 1: and confront me. We are in our mid thirties and
- 16:52Speaker 1: I want my husband to be faithful, but I don't
- 16:54Speaker 1: know if he will ever change. How will I know
- 16:57Speaker 1: when it's time to leave? Wait a minute, Wait minute,
- 17:00Speaker 1: what y'all got to work? You? You wanted him to
- 17:05Speaker 1: be mad, but you want him to be faithful. Wait
- 17:11Speaker 1: a minute. You left for a piece of condom on
- 17:15Speaker 1: the couch. You wanted him to be mad. The condom
- 17:18Speaker 1: was with another man, But you want him to be
- 17:21Speaker 1: faithful in his house. Girl, Try jes y'all's. Y'all's marriage
- 17:32Speaker 1: is over now. Yeah, it can't be mad with somebody else, right,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, you're doing stuff to make him jealous,
- 17:40Speaker 1: and it's the same thing he did. Two wrongs don't
- 17:42Speaker 1: make it right. This is a rap man. If y'all
- 17:44Speaker 1: ain't gonna do right, just going to be by yourself
- 17:47Speaker 1: because both of y'all doing other people. Yeah, in the
- 17:51Speaker 1: in their house, still in their home. Alright to him,
- 17:54Speaker 1: you do it? Mid thirties, mid thirties love right there,
- 17:59Speaker 1: all right. This is from cis and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- 18:03Speaker 1: She says, I was married for sis. I was married
- 18:06Speaker 1: for eleven years, and I filed for divorce when I
- 18:09Speaker 1: found out that my husband was cheating with a family friend.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I was devastated because this girl was always at his
- 18:17Speaker 1: family's gatherings and they were messing around in front of me.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I can fight it in his mom and she told
- 18:24Speaker 1: me that she was aware, but she was keeping it
- 18:27Speaker 1: a secret from everyone because my husband and this woman
- 18:30Speaker 1: are third cousins. My husband doesn't even know what he
- 18:36Speaker 1: is doing is sick and disgusting. I want to tell
- 18:40Speaker 1: him and the rest of the family, but his mom
- 18:43Speaker 1: has begged me not to. Should I do it anyway? Well, see,
- 18:48Speaker 1: all you want to do that for is to expose
- 18:50Speaker 1: him and hurt him. That's all that's for. There's nothing
- 18:55Speaker 1: about your marriage. This ain't about your marriage. And what
- 18:59Speaker 1: he's doing it sickening and disgusting. You don't like the
- 19:03Speaker 1: fact that he's cheating on you, the fact that it's
- 19:05Speaker 1: his third cousin, that's that's that's crazy. But I mean,
- 19:10Speaker 1: what what good is it gonna do you? But this
- 19:13Speaker 1: is not a scripture? And I just learned this wasn't
- 19:15Speaker 1: a scripture recently, so that was a shocker for me.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn? I used
- 19:23Speaker 1: to Actually I thought that was a script Yeah I didn't,
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah I did, I did. I really thought that was
- 19:28Speaker 1: a scripture. I just learned it it wasn't a year ago.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Hell hath no fear like a woman scor seeing us,
- 19:33Speaker 1: how I've had severally than women with with hell having Yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 1: you don't want to you don't want to mess with that.
- 19:40Speaker 1: You don't want to mess with that. It felt like
- 19:42Speaker 1: it was a script Well she's already filed for divorce. Yeah,
- 19:46Speaker 1: I mean, just going to get your divorce. What is
- 19:48Speaker 1: telling the family about Yeah, I mean, I know you're
- 19:52Speaker 1: mad and all this here, but it's over. They don't
- 19:59Speaker 1: really count either. With black people, thirds count, right, you
- 20:08Speaker 1: know when Tommy tells you, listen to me. When Tommy
- 20:12Speaker 1: tells you, Jay, yes it do you have crossed the
- 20:17Speaker 1: stupid barrier. If there's still some blood in there somewhere,
- 20:20Speaker 1: right you have you have kicked over the construction signs. Okay,
- 20:28Speaker 1: So you can't do none of that in my damn family.
- 20:33Speaker 1: We don't play that. We do not play that. You're
- 20:37Speaker 1: looking at that. Coming up next, we'll have some church complaints.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Thank you, Cello from Reverend Motown dickon Death Jam. Right
- 20:45Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show. Coming up at the
- 20:50Speaker 1: top of the hour, Miss Amm will give us the

- 20:56Speaker 1: Florida to Maine with high winds, possible flooding, and power

- 21:08Speaker 1: reimagined as a tribute to black love, black power, and
- 21:11Speaker 1: black culture. Plus Is the Queen, Yes she is, Yes
- 21:16Speaker 1: she is, Make no mistake, UM plus and trending news.
- 21:20Speaker 1: The President wants to ban TikTok. What is that about? Oh,
- 21:24Speaker 1: we know what it's about. Yeah, but uh, we're gonna
- 21:28Speaker 1: talk about all of these stories at the top of
- 21:30Speaker 1: the hour. Right now, Reverend Motown, Dick and def Jam
- 21:32Speaker 1: are back this time around with church complaints. You had known,
- 21:41Speaker 1: amembered that today was church complaints, I would have never
- 21:48Speaker 1: opened a show with this. Yeah, you just doing prep
- 21:54Speaker 1: time funny shows. Don't do prep dee. That's what happened,
- 22:00Speaker 1: and you don't do you then with loan with stardom
- 22:06Speaker 1: your self. But if I hadn't tried to stop you,
- 22:09Speaker 1: then you to custom me out in your sermon and
- 22:14Speaker 1: what's going on? You don't have any complaints today? I
- 22:18Speaker 1: got panic complain. It's a lot going on. Well, well
- 22:21Speaker 1: will I should not be one of them? Go forward, Deacon,
- 22:28Speaker 1: All right, let's get down to her. Sister Doris Cambell
- 22:33Speaker 1: asked the Lord to remove anything fake out of her life.
- 22:38Speaker 1: He is now ballheaded with no eyebrows, and her parents
- 22:42Speaker 1: is missing. He wants you to talk to the Lord
- 22:45Speaker 1: for her. You ask him for Read it again, Deacon,
- 22:56Speaker 1: Sister Doris Camball asked the Lord to really move anything
- 23:01Speaker 1: fake out of her life. She is now ballheaded with
- 23:05Speaker 1: no eyebrows, and her parents is missing. She wants you
- 23:09Speaker 1: to talk to the Lord. He may give you the
- 23:17Speaker 1: desires of your heart. So therefore there is no sympathy.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I cannot go to the Lord. See, you can't ask
- 23:30Speaker 1: God to bless you and then tell God how to
- 23:35Speaker 1: bless you. You want all the fake remove? So shall
- 23:40Speaker 1: it be? Now? Are you sitting up there with no hell,
- 23:47Speaker 1: no eyebrows? Right? Four? Five? Lash shouting the ass fankernel,

- 31:57Speaker 1: see Nick Cannon in it? Your accent where when you
- 32:03Speaker 1: said Jay I dropped it? All right? All right, We're
- 32:08Speaker 1: going back to Steve. Now time for headlines, miss and trip. Okay,
- 32:14Speaker 1: good morning, This is a trip with the news. Tropical
- 32:16Speaker 1: Storm Eca excuse me, say yes, is packing seventy mile
- 32:21Speaker 1: an hour winds and rain from Florida now to the
- 32:23Speaker 1: rest of the lower East Coast. It's making its way
- 32:25Speaker 1: up to the Carolinas this East Holy Eastern seaboard. But
- 32:29Speaker 1: basically the Carolinas should get it tomorrow. It's moving, of course,
- 32:33Speaker 1: bringing power outages and flooding. Coronavirus infections in the US
- 32:37Speaker 1: have now passed four point six million four point six million,
- 32:40Speaker 1: and John Hopkins Universities reporting that over one hundred and
- 32:43Speaker 1: fifty four thousand fatalities in this country have resulted from
- 32:47Speaker 1: COVID nineteen. Talk scheduled to continue this week over the
- 32:50Speaker 1: latest coronavirus relief package. No deal yet. Democrats and Republicans
- 32:54Speaker 1: still disagreeing over how much to add to unemployment benefits.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Now the GOP only wants to add a next to
- 33:00Speaker 1: two hundred bucks. The Democrats want to keep it at
- 33:02Speaker 1: six hundred. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader
- 33:06Speaker 1: Charles Schumer says they're meeting later today with White House
- 33:09Speaker 1: Chief of Staff Mark Medals, but also with Treasury Secretary
- 33:11Speaker 1: Stephen Manuchin, who was on ABC's this week. We proposed
- 33:15Speaker 1: a one week extension at six hundred dollars, so that
- 33:19Speaker 1: while we negotiate a longer term solution, at least all
- 33:23Speaker 1: those people don't lose their money. And I'm surprised that
- 33:27Speaker 1: the Democrats won't agree to that. Well, the Democrats say
- 33:30Speaker 1: they want a firm, firm promise at the six hundred level.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I guess we'll see what they can agree to. The
- 33:35Speaker 1: New York Amsterdam News reports that there's been another apparent lynching,
- 33:39Speaker 1: this time in McKinney, Texas, and, like the other recent
- 33:42Speaker 1: cases of black men found hanging from trees and other
- 33:45Speaker 1: states recently, local police insisted was a suicide. Neither the
- 33:49Speaker 1: community nor the local NAACP is buying that. This time.
- 33:53Speaker 1: The victim was a young black woman identified as twenty
- 33:56Speaker 1: year old Gloria Bambo of South Africa. She went missing
- 33:59Speaker 1: July ninth and was discovered by her white male roommate
- 34:02Speaker 1: on July twentieth hanging in the garage of the home
- 34:05Speaker 1: she shared with them. The city of El Paso, Texas,
- 34:08Speaker 1: marked a sad anniversary over the weekend the murders of
- 34:11Speaker 1: twenty three innocent Hispanics one year ago at a Walmart.
- 34:14Speaker 1: You gotta remember this. It was by a Dallas area gunman,
- 34:17Speaker 1: said to be the largest attack on Latinos in modern
- 34:20Speaker 1: US history. Sunday evening, survivors and family members of the
- 34:24Speaker 1: victims took part in an interface service and groundbreaking for
- 34:27Speaker 1: a healing garden at a local park. Pastor Michael Grady,
- 34:30Speaker 1: a Prince of Peace Christian Church, was one of the
- 34:32Speaker 1: dozens injured that day, August the third rockt city. Because
- 34:36Speaker 1: it was a hard thing. It renched us. Why us?
- 34:40Speaker 1: And Pastor Grady, the Catholic Bishop of El Paso other
- 34:44Speaker 1: men of the cloth, also announced the formation of a
- 34:47Speaker 1: Commission on Race and Equality amid the rise in hague
- 34:50Speaker 1: crimes around the country the entire country. President Trump reportedly
- 34:54Speaker 1: engaged in another feud with his favorite TV network, Fox
- 34:57Speaker 1: and sad News. Actor Wilfred Brimley has died. Each It's
- 35:01Speaker 1: the right thing to do, Steve Harvey Morning Show, Now
- 35:05Speaker 1: back You're listening show. All right, here we go. Let's
- 35:10Speaker 1: look into the mind of the one and only Jay
- 35:13Speaker 1: Anthony Brown. Here we are in twenty twenty. We all
- 35:16Speaker 1: agree in twenty twenty, I'm not saying it's bad. Don't
- 35:19Speaker 1: you just feel like you have a very funny feeling
- 35:23Speaker 1: about twenty twenty. Twenty twenty is like it feels like
- 35:27Speaker 1: you got cereal but no milk. That that's what you
- 35:30Speaker 1: feel like. You know what feels struggling, Yeah, it feels
- 35:35Speaker 1: like twenty twenty feels like you realize you just drove
- 35:38Speaker 1: off and your drink is on top of the car.
- 35:41Speaker 1: That's just got that feeling that twenty twenty feels like
- 35:47Speaker 1: when you get your stuff caught in the zipper. You
- 35:50Speaker 1: know what I mean. Feeling the twenty it just has
- 35:53Speaker 1: a weird It's like you you out of tallet Twenty
- 35:58Speaker 1: twenty feels like you out of tallet table and you
- 36:01Speaker 1: home by yourself. That's what twenty feels like. Twenty Twenty
- 36:07Speaker 1: twenty feels like your titty goes out and all you
- 36:11Speaker 1: can get is the sound. That's twenty twenty. That's twenty.
- 36:18Speaker 1: You have a funny feeling about yourself all day long.
- 36:22Speaker 1: You don't know what it is, and then at nighttime
- 36:24Speaker 1: you realize you had your underwear on backwards. I mean,
- 36:28Speaker 1: that's what twenty twenty feels like. Twenty twenty feels like
- 36:32Speaker 1: when you drive and you park on the wrong side
- 36:35Speaker 1: of the pump three damn times, you're like, I be
- 36:38Speaker 1: damn I can't. That's that's how twenty that's that. Twenty
- 36:43Speaker 1: twenty feels like, yeah, a bird poops on you. It's
- 36:49Speaker 1: in your mouth, That's what it feels like. J Yo,
- 36:55Speaker 1: got what Let me get this last one? Let me
- 36:56Speaker 1: get one right right you. Twenty twenty feels like you
- 37:01Speaker 1: mess up your favorite white outfit before you leave the house.
- 37:06Speaker 1: What you got? Twenty twenty feel like the magician pulled
- 37:12Speaker 1: the rabbit out the hat and the rabbit is dead.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Twenty twenty. Twenty twenty feel like you're backing out the
- 37:23Speaker 1: garage and the damn door ain't open. Feel like you've
- 37:37Speaker 1: been driving for thirty minutes, and then you forget where
- 37:41Speaker 1: the hell you're going. Twenty that's what the hell? Twenty twenty,
- 37:45Speaker 1: All right, here's the last one. Twenty twenty feels like
- 37:48Speaker 1: the president is on television. You switch the channel and
- 37:53Speaker 1: there he is again. You go every damn chowner, even
- 37:58Speaker 1: the weather That's what twenty twenty feel that even the
- 38:01Speaker 1: weather channel. All right, thank you Jay, thank you. Steve
- 38:06Speaker 1: coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour, some
- 38:09Speaker 1: trending news from Saint Louis. Right after this, you're listening
- 38:14Speaker 1: to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. According to the Black
- 38:18Speaker 1: Information Network, after a five month secret review of the
- 38:22Speaker 1: twenty fourteen shooting death of Michael Brown, Saint Louis County's
- 38:27Speaker 1: first black prosecutor, Wesley Bell will not i said will
- 38:31Speaker 1: not file charges against the former Ferguson police officer Darren
- 38:35Speaker 1: Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown. This follows
- 38:39Speaker 1: a reinvestigation into the case. Prosecutor Bell said after examining
- 38:44Speaker 1: thousands of pages of witness statements, forensic reports, and other evidence,
- 38:48Speaker 1: his office was unable to prove beyond a reasonable doubt
- 38:52Speaker 1: that Darren Wilson committed murder or manslaughter under the Missouri
- 38:57Speaker 1: law when Wilson shot and killed Michael Brown in twenty fourteen.
- 39:02Speaker 1: A Saint Louis activist was upset and spoke out about
- 39:04Speaker 1: the decision take a listen nothing five months, saying he
- 39:13Speaker 1: moving evidence. Nothing he moving evidence nothing, nothing, nothing nothing,
- 39:23Speaker 1: It's all what time ain't no he he got dirty cops.
- 39:29Speaker 1: How you got police working for the prosecutor. How you
- 39:32Speaker 1: got proflcus for the police union. How it's all the
- 39:36Speaker 1: conflicate interest everybody in her corrupts. Wow, he's probably telling
- 39:43Speaker 1: the truth. Every probably telling the truth because you know
- 39:49Speaker 1: it's just a lot of that's but you know, we've
- 39:51Speaker 1: we've we've made a serious mistake in here and that
- 39:55Speaker 1: we've given we've allowed some police to be able to
- 40:00Speaker 1: make the decision whether a person is guilty or innocent,
- 40:04Speaker 1: and we've allowed him to pass judgment and actually into
- 40:08Speaker 1: death sentences. When when a young man I don't know
- 40:13Speaker 1: his name, but was in his grandmother's backyard trying to
- 40:17Speaker 1: get in and was murdered because they thought his cell
- 40:20Speaker 1: phone was a was a gun. I mean, I mean,
- 40:25Speaker 1: they always have a reason why they opened fire. There's
- 40:30Speaker 1: a twelve year old boy dead from playing with a
- 40:34Speaker 1: toy because they opened fire and killed him. See if
- 40:42Speaker 1: if anybody else fires a gun, discharges a weapon and
- 40:47Speaker 1: kills a twelve year old, they're gonna go to jail.
- 40:51Speaker 1: So in his black lives matter movement. One of my
- 40:55Speaker 1: things is I would I would love to see and
- 40:58Speaker 1: I've got to do a better job of trying to
- 41:01Speaker 1: make this happen. To be honest with you, that has
- 41:04Speaker 1: to be the policing of the police. That has to
- 41:09Speaker 1: be sentencing guidelines for policemen. See, this isn't about we
- 41:15Speaker 1: don't need police or defunding the police, because I think
- 41:17Speaker 1: if you defund the police, you're making the biggest mistake
- 41:20Speaker 1: in this world. You need police. There are a lot
- 41:23Speaker 1: of good police officers. You need law and order. I
- 41:26Speaker 1: got all of that. That ain't what we're talking about.
- 41:29Speaker 1: But if we are paying you as taxpayers, which I
- 41:33Speaker 1: happen to be, and we are paying you to help
- 41:35Speaker 1: us uphold the law, you have to be held to
- 41:39Speaker 1: the same laws you hired to uphold. You can't murder
- 41:43Speaker 1: innocent people. I don't see why that's a problem. And
- 41:46Speaker 1: people that don't get on board with this about the police,
- 41:49Speaker 1: what are you saying that it's okay? But once again,
- 41:52Speaker 1: it's okay when it's not happening to you. But enough
- 41:56Speaker 1: people have realized that so far this year, and thank god,
- 42:00Speaker 1: we gotta get to make this whole thing count. We
- 42:03Speaker 1: have to vote. That's really the whole thing. We have
- 42:06Speaker 1: to vote. Yeahs do your part. Yeah, because you know
- 42:11Speaker 1: what I think you know about this election. His base
- 42:14Speaker 1: is still his base, but I truly believe that he
- 42:18Speaker 1: has lost some of his base. I know a Trump
- 42:23Speaker 1: some of them died. Yeah, I know, I know. I
- 42:28Speaker 1: know one a person who voted for Trump and then
- 42:31Speaker 1: told me it was the biggest mistake they ever made. Yeah,
- 42:36Speaker 1: I'm but sat Louis is African American. Yeah, but that's
- 42:46Speaker 1: the out But you know what, like like the outrage
- 42:48Speaker 1: of the man. If the prosecuting office and the police
- 42:52Speaker 1: department is in cahoots and partning it up, what can
- 42:54Speaker 1: you do? You can't beat that? Ye yeah, wow, keep
- 43:00Speaker 1: our eyes on the story coming up next time to
- 43:03Speaker 1: switch gears. Nephew Tommy here with today's prank phone call.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to show coming up at
- 43:12Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after
- 43:15Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letters. Subject is his wife's picture is on
- 43:20Speaker 1: the nightstand? His wife's picture is on the nightstand? Or
- 43:24Speaker 1: what you're doing over there? You'll find out. You'll find out.
- 43:28Speaker 1: But right now I'm about that full you'll see you'll
- 43:34Speaker 1: see right now, nephew in the building with today's prank
- 43:37Speaker 1: phone call what you got for us? Nev my comb
- 43:40Speaker 1: and brush team, So like a day my comb and brush.
- 43:52Speaker 1: That's that's too much for a prank for coming brush.
- 43:58Speaker 1: I mean that don't. I don't like that even come
- 44:00Speaker 1: and Russian? Can we hear it? My colt to the
- 44:05Speaker 1: prank for the introduction, Let's go, ok Hello, Hello, I'm
- 44:12Speaker 1: trying to reach mister. Yeah, listen, hey, listen. My name
- 44:17Speaker 1: La Sean. Uh did you a auncor that passed away
- 44:22Speaker 1: named yeah, all right here your uncle? Right, yeah, that's
- 44:26Speaker 1: my uncle. We were at him about three and a
- 44:28Speaker 1: half months ago. Right. What reason why I was calling
- 44:31Speaker 1: was I'm the person that actually cut your uncor hair
- 44:36Speaker 1: when he passed away. Okay, So the reason why I
- 44:39Speaker 1: was calling is, uh, the situation is when I cut
- 44:44Speaker 1: his hair. And I know you don't know the history
- 44:46Speaker 1: about me, but my dad and my granddadd was bab us.
- 44:50Speaker 1: We all bob us. Okay, get come on, bro, get
- 44:53Speaker 1: down because about them because you try my my uncle. Man,
- 44:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to see what's going on forever, okay, And
- 44:58Speaker 1: I'm sorry to call you like this. Is what I'm
- 45:00Speaker 1: telling you that my granddad and my daddy, they Dad
- 45:03Speaker 1: passed down a brush and a comb to me. Okay,
- 45:06Speaker 1: that is like a tenimental value. Okay, But for the
- 45:11Speaker 1: for the last two to three months, I ain't been
- 45:14Speaker 1: able to find the comb and the brush that I
- 45:17Speaker 1: used what I had cut here now okay, So okay,
- 45:22Speaker 1: And what I was trying to call and tell you
- 45:24Speaker 1: was it that I can't find it? And I'm almost
- 45:27Speaker 1: certain what I'm trying to see what I'm little kid?
- 45:31Speaker 1: How many kid school? So? So what can I do
- 45:33Speaker 1: to help you find com brother? Father? That's what I'm saying.
- 45:36Speaker 1: When I did miss have and edged it up at
- 45:39Speaker 1: the funeral home, that's the last time I remember having it, dude,
- 45:43Speaker 1: three months right right? It is about three months ago.
- 45:46Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is I left the comb
- 45:48Speaker 1: and brush and you know what, went to the funeral
- 45:51Speaker 1: home and did his hair, Okay, And I talked to
- 45:54Speaker 1: the funeral home and they told me that, you know,
- 45:57Speaker 1: if I'm trying to find a comban, bro, I gotta
- 45:59Speaker 1: get mission. What cold is the coma brush? What's the
- 46:02Speaker 1: color of the comba bus? Black? That both from black?
- 46:05Speaker 1: The comban black and hard. You got all kind of
- 46:08Speaker 1: combs that black and gold man, No, no, don't see.
- 46:12Speaker 1: What I'm saying is the coman brush is black, and
- 46:14Speaker 1: I know I lost it, but I'm almost certain about
- 46:18Speaker 1: where it is. Okay, So if you're certain about where
- 46:21Speaker 1: it is, why you call it? That's the reason why
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm calling you, because I'm almost certainly o leoptic with him.
- 46:28Speaker 1: You're listening with my Then, so I called funeral. They
- 46:32Speaker 1: told me I need to call you in order to

- 46:40Speaker 1: coman brush from where the funeral when you can go
- 46:44Speaker 1: down there, say God, no, no, no, See, the comben
- 46:47Speaker 1: brush ain't with the funeral. The comban brush is in
- 46:51Speaker 1: there with your uncle. The comb and brush in the can.
- 46:58Speaker 1: What you got to say that get What I'm trying
- 47:01Speaker 1: to say to you is that the comb and brush
- 47:04Speaker 1: is in I'm trying to say, and just say what
- 47:06Speaker 1: I'm trying it the comb and brush is in the
- 47:09Speaker 1: casket with your uncle. Since then lad is six feet
- 47:14Speaker 1: let's see. See. What I'm trying to say is that
- 47:16Speaker 1: the combing brother is sentimental value to me, bro it
- 47:20Speaker 1: couldn't have been too value. But if you lost it,
- 47:23Speaker 1: what now what it was got value? You know my work?
- 47:26Speaker 1: So I just really got caught up in my work.
- 47:30Speaker 1: If you talk my teller left with my uncle that
- 47:32Speaker 1: then three months ago. Man, what color is he talking about?
- 47:36Speaker 1: On bro All, I'm trying to do what you would
- 47:38Speaker 1: see if if you don't mind approven for them to
- 47:41Speaker 1: brain the body up so I can get the comb
- 47:43Speaker 1: and brush. You know what's sebody for comb? But but see,
- 47:50Speaker 1: but what I'm trying to explain it this sentimental value.
- 47:53Speaker 1: I'm trying to get y'all the brain the body of
- 47:55Speaker 1: so I can get my comb and brush out. Ever,
- 47:57Speaker 1: because like I say, my dad and my granddad was boomed.
- 48:00Speaker 1: This whole thing is sentimentally. You're talking about my dead uncle, man,
- 48:04Speaker 1: and you're talking about bringing him up out of the
- 48:06Speaker 1: ground for him comb. Man, I just got these to
- 48:09Speaker 1: start crying around here, and and I understand what y'all
- 48:12Speaker 1: going through as as a family and stuff. She now
- 48:15Speaker 1: I'm trying to get my combings and how you trying
- 48:18Speaker 1: to go about doing this all? Throw it off on boy,
- 48:20Speaker 1: because ain't nobody digging up Nobody to bring back. No,
- 48:23Speaker 1: no brush man, You'll got me tissed off now, mane
- 48:26Speaker 1: because you're calling to me talking stupid Mane, you talk,
- 48:29Speaker 1: I put on my mom huntle man. That's man, that's
- 48:31Speaker 1: start giving a look man, I ain't trying to start. No,
- 48:33Speaker 1: because you're talking about comban brush man only. But I
- 48:36Speaker 1: understand all that. But this is a sentimental value man
- 48:39Speaker 1: in the middle to me. Man, just something that my
- 48:42Speaker 1: people listen. Sentimental to me. Okay, one of my favorite uncle. Man. Okay,
- 48:46Speaker 1: you're talking about putting up this body. Man, I got fall.
- 48:49Speaker 1: But hey, man, I don't want to if you because

- 48:57Speaker 1: I ain't ever seeing and argue with you. Look, I
- 49:00Speaker 1: got some tea, I got some men. I mean when
- 49:03Speaker 1: you staying. Let me say this, man, I got some
- 49:06Speaker 1: people that's here with me right now. You know, some
- 49:08Speaker 1: of my friends, and we got some shovels so I
- 49:12Speaker 1: can actually go over and and go on and get
- 49:14Speaker 1: the caller. Nah, and in the morning, ain't nobody gonna
- 49:17Speaker 1: even know. We ain't gonna go get now with the
- 49:20Speaker 1: hard board to say what you don't get you gonna dig?

- 52:42Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 52:45Speaker 1: All right, Thank you, nephew. Subject his wife's picture is
- 52:48Speaker 1: on the nightstand. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a fifty three
- 52:53Speaker 1: year old single female and I've been casually dating a
- 52:56Speaker 1: man for three years. His wife died six years ago,
- 53:00Speaker 1: and he's a single dad raising a daughter. He lives
- 53:04Speaker 1: in my complex and when we met, we instantly clicked
- 53:08Speaker 1: and started dating. After a few months of dating, he
- 53:11Speaker 1: told me he wanted to take a break so he
- 53:13Speaker 1: could focus on his daughter. That was three years ago,
- 53:16Speaker 1: and I showed support by cooking for him occasionally and
- 53:20Speaker 1: showing up at some of his daughter's basketball games. He
- 53:24Speaker 1: was happy that I was so understanding. Recently, we talked
- 53:28Speaker 1: about getting back together and I told him that's all
- 53:31Speaker 1: I ever wanted. We decided to be exclusive and talked
- 53:35Speaker 1: a lot about our future together. But there's one thing,
- 53:40Speaker 1: one problem, and I need your advice. When I'm over
- 53:44Speaker 1: at his place, I am bothered by the constant reminders
- 53:48Speaker 1: of his wife. The kitchen is just as she left it,
- 53:52Speaker 1: down to the notes on the fridge. Then I spent
- 53:55Speaker 1: the night with him and I was shocked to see
- 53:57Speaker 1: a picture of him and his wife on the nightstand,
- 54:00Speaker 1: and the picture was not there three years ago when
- 54:02Speaker 1: I stayed with him. I told him that the picture
- 54:05Speaker 1: made me uncomfortable, and he said it had been in
- 54:07Speaker 1: his drawer for years, and his daughter found it and
- 54:10Speaker 1: put it by his bed. I can't tell this man
- 54:13Speaker 1: how to grieve the loss of his wife, and I
- 54:15Speaker 1: feel sorry for his daughter, but I'm not going to
- 54:18Speaker 1: act like this is okay. There are several family pictures
- 54:21Speaker 1: throughout the house, and I try to overlook them. He's
- 54:24Speaker 1: a great man. He loves that we can be honest
- 54:27Speaker 1: with each other about everything. So is this one of
- 54:29Speaker 1: the things I should be honest about? How should I
- 54:32Speaker 1: handle this? Well, if you guys have that agreement that
- 54:35Speaker 1: you can be honest with each other, yeah, you can
- 54:37Speaker 1: be honest about it. I think you are right. You
- 54:41Speaker 1: cannot tell this man how long to grieve. You can't
- 54:44Speaker 1: do that. It's his late wife and it was six
- 54:48Speaker 1: years ago, so it's going to take however long it's
- 54:50Speaker 1: going to take. I mean, these things do take time.
- 54:54Speaker 1: But you can certainly help him move forward and find
- 54:57Speaker 1: happiness again. You've been a supportive end, you said, with
- 55:00Speaker 1: the cooking and going to his daughter's basketball games and
- 55:03Speaker 1: things like that. But after three years, I think it's
- 55:08Speaker 1: definitely time to move the relationship out of the casual zone.
- 55:11Speaker 1: You guys have decided to do that, and that's a
- 55:14Speaker 1: good thing. You want to be exclusive because what you
- 55:17Speaker 1: don't want is for another woman to come in and
- 55:19Speaker 1: just swoop him from right under your nose. You said,
- 55:22Speaker 1: he's a great man. You don't want that. I really
- 55:25Speaker 1: think you should, you know, not let the pictures bother
- 55:29Speaker 1: you so much. Okay, it just considered a sweet memory
- 55:33Speaker 1: of his late wife for him and his baby girl,
- 55:36Speaker 1: his daughter. I mean, you were gone for a while,
- 55:38Speaker 1: so they just put the pictures back out. I think
- 55:41Speaker 1: in due time, once you guys get closer, more serious,
- 55:44Speaker 1: maybe marriage, and because I'm sure that's what you want,
- 55:47Speaker 1: you can move the pictures maybe to the office or
- 55:50Speaker 1: to the family room. Hopefully the daughter won't be offended
- 55:53Speaker 1: by that and she won't resent you for that. If
- 55:57Speaker 1: you still, you know, want to bring it up, I
- 55:59Speaker 1: just say, you know, be kind about it, be patient,
- 56:02Speaker 1: wait for the right moment, don't say anything crazy. I
- 56:06Speaker 1: think it's a good thing that you're helping him move
- 56:08Speaker 1: on with your life. And I you know, I wish
- 56:10Speaker 1: you guys the best. Steve fifty three year old lady
- 56:15Speaker 1: casually dating a man for three years, casually dating and
- 56:20Speaker 1: takes this letter all out of focus for me. His
- 56:25Speaker 1: wife died six years ago. He's a single dad raising
- 56:28Speaker 1: a daughter. He lives in my complex and when we met,
- 56:31Speaker 1: we clicked instantly and started dating. After a few months
- 56:35Speaker 1: of dating, he told me he wanted to take a
- 56:36Speaker 1: break so he could focus on his daughter. What what
- 56:40Speaker 1: man tells a woman he gonna stop seeing her so
- 56:46Speaker 1: he can focus on his daughter. You fifty three? Howl?
- 56:55Speaker 1: Is this man? So let's see, here's his wife little
- 57:00Speaker 1: bit younger. Maybe his wife was forty, his daughter's twenty
- 57:05Speaker 1: living at home. I don't know. I don't know, but
- 57:08Speaker 1: I don't know. Nobody that tells a woman, y'all wasn't
- 57:11Speaker 1: doing number casually dating. You said that yourself, He don't
- 57:14Speaker 1: want to see you no more because he want to
- 57:15Speaker 1: spend some time with his daughter. Okay, cool, it's over,
- 57:19Speaker 1: But it wasn't really over then. That was three years ago,
- 57:24Speaker 1: and you kept on hanging in there by cooking for him,
- 57:27Speaker 1: occasionally show him up some of his daughter's basketball games. Okay,
- 57:32Speaker 1: so she probably high school or college, one or the two.
- 57:35Speaker 1: He was happy that she was understanding. Recently, recently we
- 57:40Speaker 1: talked about getting back together, and I told him that's
- 57:44Speaker 1: all I ever wanted. Y'all have talked about being together before.
- 57:50Speaker 1: That's what broke y'all up after the three years of
- 57:53Speaker 1: casual dating. Huh, do you understand what I'm saying to you?
- 58:00Speaker 1: But there's one problem. I need your advice. When I'm
- 58:03Speaker 1: over at his place, I'm bothered by the constant reminders
- 58:06Speaker 1: of the wife. The kitchen is just as she left it. Well,
- 58:10Speaker 1: he wasn't in that cookie, so she left some of stuff.
- 58:15Speaker 1: He liked where her where she hung the pots she liked,
- 58:18Speaker 1: He liked where she put the spoons. He liked the
- 58:23Speaker 1: way the stuff is just habit. What sway she dying
- 58:28Speaker 1: there let's change his kitchen round because it's too much
- 58:31Speaker 1: like your damn mama. What was he supposed to say
- 58:33Speaker 1: to his daughter? And then said, I spent the night
- 58:37Speaker 1: with him, and I was shocked to see a picture
- 58:39Speaker 1: him and his wife on the knight stand. They slept
- 58:41Speaker 1: in that bad that ain't bother the ass. Not a
- 58:44Speaker 1: picture got you tripping? She looking at us? She is,
- 58:51Speaker 1: said that woman, she looking at us, she is well
- 58:56Speaker 1: at first two, Steve's respond her bad at twenty three
- 59:00Speaker 1: minutes after our damn husband. We'll be back at twenty
- 59:06Speaker 1: three minutes after the Our subject for today, his wife's
- 59:09Speaker 1: picture is on the nightstand. We'll get back into it
- 59:12Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening morning show, all right, Steve,
- 59:18Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject. His wife's
- 59:22Speaker 1: picture is on the nightstand. This lady dating this man.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Wife been deceased. He raised his daughter. They broke up
- 59:30Speaker 1: so he could spend time with his daughter. That's what
- 59:32Speaker 1: he told her, which ain't true. They've been talking about
- 59:35Speaker 1: getting back together for the three years, been cooking for him.
- 59:40Speaker 1: You said, that's all you've ever wanted. And then y'all
- 59:44Speaker 1: started talking about y'all's future together. But here the problem
- 59:47Speaker 1: she got when I'm over at his place, I'm bothered
- 59:50Speaker 1: by the constant reminders of his wife. Oh you mean,
- 59:53Speaker 1: like that's her house that wanted to remind us you
- 59:57Speaker 1: talking about you. That's the cow, she said. Home, that's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: her TV. That's what she arranged her living room. And
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: then and then she said, the kitchen is just as
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: she left it, down to the notes on the refrigerator.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Eat your vegetables, back up some milk. I love you,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: have a nice day. Oh that's getting on your damn nerves.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: When I spent the night with him, I was shocked
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: to see a picture of him and his wife on
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: the knife stand she lived down. That was a picture
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: of him on the knife stand. Befoul now, she said,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: The picture was not that three years ago when I
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: stayed with it. But you've been going for a while.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: He probably said to his daughter, I showed miss your mom,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: And she said with dad, I'm gonna put the picture
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: back out for you. Now, if you ain't bothered by
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: being in this woman's bed, what the hell is this picture?
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Bug in you fall? I know why because she looking
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: fad at you exactly now. It ain't bothered in his ass,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: but it's bothered in you, you know, and it may
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: And that picture made me uncomfortably. He said it had
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: been in his drawer for years, and his daughter found
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: it and put it by his bed. So what are
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: gonna do? Take it off you over there? Lady, Come
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: on now, you grow now until this gets somewhere else.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: But I can't tell this man how to grieve the
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: loss of his wife. Okay, so what were typed in
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: his letter? Fall? I'll tell you why because I feel
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: sorry for his daughter. But I'm not gonna act like
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: this is okay, okay, cool, But right now it's not
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: your house. It's still his house, and his daughter is there,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and it's their house. Remember, see you just got back in.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: See you're gonna mess around to be out for you
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: get back all the way in that what you're ass
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: fing to do? I'm just telling you right now, you're

- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you now you're gonna come back
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: in there with this little buffalo moved right here. I'm
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: over here. I want all these notes down out this
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: kitchen and let's change why these blastes and stuff is?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I don't want none a hound here no more. What
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: you're ass fing to mess around and be out? Lady? Now,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: she said, there are several family pictures throughout the house,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and I try to overlook them. It's family pictures. It's him,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: his wife, his daughter. You know they got life together.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: You can't just throw that out there, wonder because your

- 1:02:48Speaker 1: could that we can be honest with each other and everything.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: So is this one of the things I should be
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: honest about? How shading run over there and say something
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: that man about his wife. Go in there and say
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: something to this man about his family pictures up there
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: on the wall and his daughters still live there, going
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: over there, going over there. Why don't you do this?
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Why don't you have Stimm and stay at your house
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: until everything smooths out. Why don't you just do that? No,

- 1:06:59Speaker 1: My husband and had ice cream was on the can't

- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I mean, you know, you know they had you know,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Zion Winston, he didn't have a really good start back up.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: But you know Lebron they lost a game too, sad,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: so you know, it was just good to Lebron lost. Yeah,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: they lost again, man too. They beat the Clippers. They
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: beat the Clippers, then they lost in that game. The
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Toronto wasn't to tell you, yeah, man, I mean, it
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: was just good to see them. We just got to
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: keep him in that bubble. Junior, keep him in that bubble. Man,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: don't nobody to lead this bubble. We don't even nobody
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: getting COVID right now. We don't care. I won't care,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: don't do nothing, just playing, Steve. I think I heard
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Simba say something. You don't know. No basketball was back.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: But man, it's good man. Um, they're gonna play, uh
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: you know, twenty two game restart, so they're gonna play.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: The playoffs gonna begin this month August seventeen, really and yeah, man,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: and in the finals and schedule to start September thirty.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: So we got basketball at least till September. So how
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: is it without an audience? Though? I don't care, Shirley.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: They played cool, the focus on them playing. Why are

- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I do all right? Uh, all right, we'll be back
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. We'll have
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: some trending fraternity news, Steve, right after this you're listening
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: to all right, So see you want to congratulate your
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: brand new fraternity brothers, please. I have known these brothers

- 1:09:30Speaker 1: wide receiver for Miami and a couple of other teams.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Bad boy, that boy so fast with his father and
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: I went to school together. We graduated together. He went
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: back and became a coach at Glenville. He has so
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: many current NFL players in the league now and has
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: changed more lives than anybody in the city of Cleveland
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: that I know. Boys lives up in Cleveland. Ted again Senior,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Anthony Anderson Anthon from Star Blackish is the latest member
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: of Omega Sci Fi and oh my goodness, the greatest editions.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: My brother d l hugely which I have ordered a
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: whole new slew of uh Oklahoma thunder where but I
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: just bought the gear out on the NFL and on
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: the NBA official store to stuff with OKC on it
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: OKAYC because I just figured out I was going to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: wear them shirts in the stands for Original Kings of Comedy.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I don't get it. And then probably the one that
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: warms my heart fourth best was but this brother has
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: become a member of Mega sci Fi for one reason,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: because of his contribution to Omega sci Fi, the writer
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: performal to create on keep bringing him up of the
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: mask hit that once its played identified with one fraternity only,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: George Clinton. Oh, step in your seat, that George, where
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you gonna hurt your knees if you get on your feet?

- 1:12:10Speaker 1: hell yeah? Why is that? What is it about that song? Man?
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Oh man? Soon he first wrote it, huh I thought
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: it was about me essentially. I was gonna ask you,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: this is a story about a famous dog. Who I'm
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: talking about? Your famous dog? Right? Thank you dog? Huh So? Congratulations.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: You said all that to say, yeah, what the sigma say?
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: What did you say? He ain't say no, he no
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: say nothing. He got to be quiet happy. This ain't
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: out time, No, no, it ain't no, George that we
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: have much respect. I have respect for all of them.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: I know a lot of great noopes, know a lot
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: of great alphas. I know some great Sigmas. I mean
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: the sigmas. You know you're out of breath, Steve, all right, listen,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: catch your breath. Got more of today's trending stories on
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show twenty minutes after the hour
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to show the space X
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Dragon Crew capsule. Astronauts Bob and Doug were on a
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: two month mission to the space station. Yesterday they splashed
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: down in the Gulf of Mexico, just off the coast
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: of Pennsyl. Hold up, they are now back home? And where? Yeah, Houston, Texas,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: y'all say that? If? Yes, I ain't even know they
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: splashed down anymore. I thought they came back on the
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Shah while gone for two months in space. And see,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I'm not doing that. I'm not going out of space
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: for no two damn moments. You mean no, I'm not
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: going up for what? What? You got me up here? Doing? What?
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: That damn important? Uphill? It ain't COVID out there? Mess
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: around and the something break? Hold up, man, some break
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: in the control room, A fuse go out. I can't
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: come back. But do you know how many tests they
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: take before they put those rockets? Can about no tests? Ye?
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Stuff go wrong? What would you do if they told you,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: mister Harvard, we need to go outside. How say you
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: need to get to Why do why you're not a
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: top would do a day trip, I would not. No,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I like day trips on airplanes. All right, we'll have
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: listening to show some very tragic news from our home
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: station in Chicago, V one oh three, and it's trending.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Gun violence continues to plague Chicago. This past weekend, a
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: nine year old boy was killed. His name is Jamari Ricks.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: He was killed in the Cabrini Green neighborhood when he
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: was shot in the chest. Police say the boy was
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: not the intended target. Isn't that always the case? According
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: to ABC News, from the months of January to July,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: there were four hundred and forty homicides in Chicago and
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: two thousand, two hundred and forty shootings. Wow. Community groups
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: in Chicago said the kids are scared. These kids are
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: scared and they can't even play outside now because it's
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: so dangerous. Local leaders say that it's poverty, lack of opportunity.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Those are the issues. It's not just policing. That's such
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: a sad story every weekend weekend Chicago. So not the
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: numbers look I don't. I don't. I have no idea
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: the answer to this. I just do know that it
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: the answer to this. Look, I got that when you
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: deprive us of people and put them in opressed conditions
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: and you there's poverty and hopelessness and lack of opportunity,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: education and all of this, that it plays a part
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: in crime. I understand that. I'm not naive to that
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: at all. The solution to helping get the young men
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: under control, or not so much under control, but more
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: in line, the only solution to that is black men.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Even if you come with programs, we need more mentoring
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: of our young men. It's not going to stop it.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: It's not going to cut it out, but it will
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: drastically reduce it. And in conjunction with we've got to
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: get Moneis into these communities. We've got to get some
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: type of policies or something who it gives these young
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: people a sense of hope and and and and a
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: chance in the American system. Yeah, you've got to think
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: that you could participate in the American dream. The moment
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: you don't think you could participate in the American dream,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: then you create the dream, and that dream usually winds
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: up with nightmare type results. Yeah, they need a place
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: to channel the energy. Yeah, we need more men. And
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: once again, Chicago, I don't claim to know this answer,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: but I do know to get them young men in line,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: it takes men. We're praying for you, Chicago, and it's
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: just tragic. We'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, our last break of the day, and
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: to show. All right here we are, last break of
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: the day, Steve. Yeah, and going to work today. Start
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: this job. You at work right now? Yeah, I mean,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I mean, I mean back to taping family few. So
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: today is COVID Awareness Day. We have to rehearse today.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: They put up shields. I haven't seen it yet, but
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: they wanted me to come and get used to it today.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: I have a platform that I speak from now. Uh,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: there's no touching, high fiving of the contestants. Uh, there's
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: shields in place. So it's gonna be interesting to see
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: how it goals. Yeah, and we're gonna shoot it with
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: no audience. Okay, so at the end you won't be
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: standing next to them when you read the questions money,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: I don't I don't know, man, I don't know how
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: they're gonna do it unless they have us up there
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: and a shield in between us like they did. Did
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: you see our inside NBA this weekend with Charles and
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: you know how they had the shields in between both
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: of them. All of them had a toss. You know,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: you you can't hardly tell us there. I'm assuming they'll
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: have something like that. But they've called me from London
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: to talk to me about everything, and mister Harvey, we
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: have to do it this way. We apologize, but we
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: have to do it this way, and so I don't
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I'm okay with it. Yeah, you know, I'm ready to go. Yeah,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: you know, hey, listen in closing today, ninety four days
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: until election, ninety four days for us to get it
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: together and have an opportunity to prove a very, very value.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: It's ninety two days, ninety two days. I'm sorry, it's
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: ninety two days left before election day and we get
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: to prove a point that will resonate long, long into
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: our future. Black Lives Matter movement has finally called whole
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and now that the movement is as progressive as it is.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: It has companies thinking differently, it has magazines, television thinking differently.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Hollywood is reacting right now. Some things are happening on
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: the network level in terms of racial equality and justices
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: that have occurred. Everybody is being held to task on
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: this issue for the most part now in order to
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: make this happen on the policy level, to bring about
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: changes in how are policing is done. And again, you know, look,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: there's a lot of good police officers and we need
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: police department. I'm not talking about defunding anything like that.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: I don't I don't even understand what that's about. We
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: need policemen, but we don't need all the bad ones
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: that we have. And in order to alleviate having the
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: bad ones that we have, and it's a lot of them,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: we're discovering it's enough of them where we should have
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: mandatory mandatory sentencing for police, just like they do for civilians.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: You know, if you do certain things to other civilians,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: you automatically suffer certain consequence. It has to be there
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: for the police department. We'll listen to everybody. In order
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: to bring this about, we have to vote. We gotta
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: get serious about this thing. Man. We have ninety two
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: days to do something about this. If you are unhappy
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: with the response to COVID, I mean this that America's
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: going through right now. It's beyond ridiculous. You know, we
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: were sitting up looking at Italy. How could this happen?
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: Career China? How could this happen? We're looking at Brazil.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: How could this happen? How could this happen? How could
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: they let it get like that? Oh my god, America
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: has the best finest doctors, medicine, all this here. Will
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: now look at us. We are the fourth of the
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: cases worldwide. We have nearly fourth of the deaths worldwide,
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: but we are only four percent of the population in
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the world. That's something's wrong. That's leadership. If you're tied
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: away the COVID thing has been handled. Are you tired away?
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: This man is up here just talking over and over
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: and over and not mentioning these families that have passed.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: If you're sick of the divisiveness, if you're tired of
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: every time he has a policy or something that he
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: stands on a soapbox on it's got something to do
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: with people of color. The band on the Muslims, the
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Docker program, the wall, the all over Colin Kaepernick, and
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: now it's embarrassing when they kneel for the national anthem
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: and our flag and our military. Man, when you're gonna
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: get off that soap box that's been broken a long
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: time anyway, they never kneel to dishonor the flag or
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: the military. And I'm glad they stick it to it
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: right now because you've changed the dynamics so many times.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: I'm just tired of a president who is just obviously
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: as divisive as he is who happens to be I
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: ain't even got to say it. Look, we're tired of this.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Let's get to the polls. Let's do what we're supposed
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: to do. Let's prove that black lives really do matter
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: about voting. We could take this black Lives metal to
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the policy level. And the only way to get it
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: to the policy level as we got to vote. When
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: we all vote. Dot org is the web site. Everybody,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: call everybody you know today, Get on the mission, y'all.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: When we all vote dot org. And then as soon
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: as you get registered to vote, we're gonna start talking
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: about voting early, mailing in your balance and you ain't
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: got to stand in line. We're gonna talk about that,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: all right. Let's be busy, Thank you, Let's vote for
