- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all suit on back giving them like theming
- 0:16Speaker 1: buck things and it's not true. Good Steve to mother,
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't join jo. You gotta use that turn you. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn out to turn turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your things. Ahh, I sure will. Good morning, everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Are you listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay,
- 2:14Speaker 1: I got something for you today. I'm gonna have a
- 2:20Speaker 1: conversation this morning about my understanding of grace now that
- 2:25Speaker 1: I've gotten older and I've come in to a better
- 2:28Speaker 1: understanding of a lot of things I didn't know about
- 2:31Speaker 1: when I was younger. This is just my interpretation of grace.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Now once again, y'all listen to me. I ain't nobody's pastor,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I ain't nobody's minister. So you know, I'm pretty sure
- 2:45Speaker 1: you can go to church and get a far more
- 2:47Speaker 1: extensive definition of one I'm giving you. I'm just talking
- 2:50Speaker 1: to people. You know. Grace is this thing that that
- 2:55Speaker 1: God provides for us, and grace it's just things that
- 3:03Speaker 1: you get that's really undeserving, you know. I mean, I
- 3:07Speaker 1: look at my life as it is today. You know, Look,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I work hard and I have faith in God that
- 3:12Speaker 1: I do so things are going to happen in my life.
- 3:16Speaker 1: But the way my life is now, I don't. I don't.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I don't deserve all of this. I don't don't. I
- 3:22Speaker 1: don't look at it that way. I have been the
- 3:24Speaker 1: beneficiary of God's grace. I have aligned myself in a
- 3:29Speaker 1: position to accept whatever grace God has for me, and
- 3:35Speaker 1: it will be far abundant and exceedingly in anything you
- 3:40Speaker 1: could think of. His grace supersedes anything you could possibly imagine.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know, the goals that I set and the aspirations
- 3:49Speaker 1: that I shoot for, and the things that I have
- 3:51Speaker 1: on my dream board. I have the faith that God
- 3:53Speaker 1: will give it to me. But what He does with grace,
- 3:56Speaker 1: he gives you far more than that. He gives you
- 3:59Speaker 1: what He has for you, not what you can see.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You can't see all He has for you. It's impossible.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Who are you? How can you possibly imagine what he
- 4:09Speaker 1: can imagine? How can you possibly think? How he can think?
- 4:11Speaker 1: How how can you possibly do what he can do.
- 4:14Speaker 1: How can it be that isn't a single mind living
- 4:18Speaker 1: or a collection of minds that could have thought of earth?
- 4:22Speaker 1: What in your wildest imagination could have made you think
- 4:26Speaker 1: of Earth? The stars, the heavens, the oceans, the galaxy,
- 4:32Speaker 1: the constellations. What in your mind? What in any man's mind?
- 4:37Speaker 1: We can point at it and analyze it, but we
- 4:39Speaker 1: show it couldn't have thought of it. So come on now,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm talking about lining yourself up with God's grace, which
- 4:48Speaker 1: he will give to you if you if you want
- 4:51Speaker 1: some of it now. But now, his thing about grace,
- 4:53Speaker 1: it can't be bought. If it could, if it could
- 4:55Speaker 1: be bought, I'm telling you I would pour all the
- 5:00Speaker 1: money I have and dump it into grace, because, after
- 5:04Speaker 1: discovering what it is, it's this goodness that God shines
- 5:10Speaker 1: on you simply as a reward of some type for
- 5:15Speaker 1: his love for you and for you attempting for you,
- 5:19Speaker 1: attempting to do right, not because you get it right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Because if He judged us purely on how we are
- 5:26Speaker 1: the right and wrong of it, we would all be doomed,
- 5:29Speaker 1: all of us, every last one of us, would be doomed,
- 5:34Speaker 1: because we all fall short. We all make mistakes, we
- 5:38Speaker 1: all sin, we all get it wrong from time to time.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Nobody's perfect. Man. Now I understand what my mother was
- 5:47Speaker 1: saying about cleaning the house. All I want is a
- 5:50Speaker 1: little more grace. All I need is a little more
- 5:53Speaker 1: grace when the last time you ask God for some grace. Now,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm not talking to you like I know everything. If
- 6:00Speaker 1: you just benefit from His grace, which you already have,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but if you're not aware of it, you don't know
- 6:06Speaker 1: what's going on. Become aware of grace, Get aware of
- 6:10Speaker 1: the fact that God does things for you simply because
- 6:13Speaker 1: He loves you. He does things for you that you
- 6:16Speaker 1: don't even deserve. Somehow, you just wonder how you just
- 6:19Speaker 1: got over when you didn't even do the things to
- 6:22Speaker 1: get over. Sometimes you don't even know how you got
- 6:26Speaker 1: that job you got when you ain't even really do
- 6:29Speaker 1: the things to get to job. How you end up
- 6:31Speaker 1: where you are all education you thought you went and
- 6:34Speaker 1: got and had, How you end up where you are
- 6:36Speaker 1: today in a much better position than your education could
- 6:39Speaker 1: have ever gotten you. That's grace. How I get every
- 6:44Speaker 1: place I am today. I didn't plan this, man. If
- 6:47Speaker 1: I could have planned my life the way it is.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Don't you know how to done it? When I was
- 6:50Speaker 1: living in that car? If I knew how to do it, No,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I benefited from his grace. I'm just a beneficiary of
- 6:59Speaker 1: his grace, of his goodness and his mercy. God's goodness
- 7:04Speaker 1: is better than your goodness. God's goodness is better than
- 7:07Speaker 1: your mother's goodness. It's better than your wife's or your
- 7:10Speaker 1: husband or your booze goodness. God's goodness is different. His
- 7:15Speaker 1: goodness man covers some stuff you can't even imagine. So
- 7:20Speaker 1: why are you trying to put your life together when
- 7:23Speaker 1: the last time you asked him for just a little
- 7:25Speaker 1: bit of grace? When have you thought of your life
- 7:29Speaker 1: in terms of the grace that it has already benefited from?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Have you ever done that? Man? Just thought about you know?
- 7:37Speaker 1: You hear songs like my soul looked back and wonder
- 7:40Speaker 1: how I got over. That's grace. That's all I can
- 7:43Speaker 1: call it. Now. Like I said, you can go at
- 7:44Speaker 1: church or somewhere ever you want to, and ministers that
- 7:47Speaker 1: the wind at school to teach this thing way better
- 7:50Speaker 1: than me. I'm just giving you from a layman standpoint. Man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: have you thought about his grace? Would you not bewailed
- 7:56Speaker 1: to be a beneficiary of his grace, would it not? Now?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Check this out. The better you try to do, the
- 8:04Speaker 1: more grace he'll give to you. And that grace can't
- 8:07Speaker 1: be bought. Like I said, it's free. You can't purchase grace.
- 8:12Speaker 1: But the better you try to become, the more the
- 8:14Speaker 1: more grace he gets to put your way. So man,
- 8:18Speaker 1: just try, why don't you just try to do better? Look, man,
- 8:23Speaker 1: quick tip. Mind, I'm gonna start next week. I'm gonna
- 8:25Speaker 1: start at the new year. Now you now you do
- 8:27Speaker 1: that every year, you know, the evers at the new year,
- 8:30Speaker 1: we eat better at the new year. I'm gonna I'm
- 8:32Speaker 1: gonna gonna get in here and the new year. If
- 8:34Speaker 1: you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it now. Man,
- 8:37Speaker 1: you're gonna do not stop trying to do something, do it,
- 8:42Speaker 1: stop talking about it, do it now. The best way
- 8:45Speaker 1: to benefit from his grace is starting action now in
- 8:50Speaker 1: old w now right now today. What you're waiting on.
- 8:55Speaker 1: All you're doing is delaying his opportunity to bless you.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You know, man, you know, do you know how many
- 9:02Speaker 1: times we do that? We delay his opportunity to bless
- 9:05Speaker 1: us by not starting now. If you're gonna get healthy,
- 9:09Speaker 1: why don't you start now? Now? You're gonna trip a
- 9:11Speaker 1: little bit called the holidays coming, But you ain't got
- 9:14Speaker 1: to eat bad all the time. You could start eating
- 9:16Speaker 1: correct today you could. You could, and then guess what
- 9:20Speaker 1: that could be? Some grace on the end of that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm just giving you a little cheap analogy. But do
- 9:26Speaker 1: you feel what I'm saying to you? Start thinking in
- 9:28Speaker 1: terms of grace? What He has done for you and
- 9:31Speaker 1: provided for you that you ain't even see coming. That
- 9:34Speaker 1: you know, you keep calling them blessings and I got
- 9:36Speaker 1: that a lot of it and us all it is.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But man, have you thought about the stuff that didn't
- 9:40Speaker 1: happen to you? You can't account for I. For me,
- 9:45Speaker 1: that's been grace and I'm beneficiary of it. And that's
- 9:48Speaker 1: available to everybody that won'ts su Next time you're talking
- 9:52Speaker 1: to him, just check in with grace. See what that is.
- 9:54Speaker 1: That's that's better than money. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: this is it. It's the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Monday morning.
- 10:07Speaker 1: We are here a lot to talk about today, a
- 10:11Speaker 1: lot to get involved. We will today discuss the issues
- 10:16Speaker 1: and then from time to time we'll give you a break,
- 10:20Speaker 1: you know, try to pull a smile on your face
- 10:22Speaker 1: a little bit today, and then we'll keep you informed.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So that's the mission today. Sometimes you need a break, though,
- 10:30Speaker 1: And I mean, this is just so it's a lot
- 10:34Speaker 1: that's going on, but you know, we understand who we are.
- 10:39Speaker 1: There's news channels on all day long. Most people are abreast,
- 10:43Speaker 1: and so what we'll do is we'll just fill in
- 10:45Speaker 1: with some of our commentary and personal thoughts and the
- 10:49Speaker 1: rest of it will try to put a smile on
- 10:51Speaker 1: your face a little bit today. This is the Steve
- 10:53Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Shirley Strawberry, Good Morning, Steve and Carla
- 10:59Speaker 1: Forever Morning, Steve Hay Crew, Ladies and gentlemen, Mayor Junior
- 11:05Speaker 1: morn everybody. Morning up, Ladies and gentlemen, Close up, Jay,
- 11:11Speaker 1: Anthony Brown, the Legend, Nephew Tommy, what's up man? Monday Morning,
- 11:25Speaker 1: Monton Morning, Mantiful. Feel rough out there in these streets?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Board yea, yeah, whatever, we'd be back here so soon. Wow.
- 11:37Speaker 1: But you don't believe it. Then you can't believe it.
- 11:39Speaker 1: You I can't believe it. Then he's like, I can't
- 11:41Speaker 1: believe it. But you know, I mean Jay and I
- 11:45Speaker 1: like Jay is older than me, and he bought that
- 11:49Speaker 1: up on the show. But we've been around long time.
- 11:51Speaker 1: It's been happening in our entire life. This has been
- 11:55Speaker 1: a protest police brutality, race, systematic racism has been around
- 12:05Speaker 1: since I was a child. I've known nothing but this.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I grew up in a place that had colors only
- 12:12Speaker 1: water fountains. This is from the get goal. So yeah, yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I watched UM. I watched Spike Lee's movie UM yesterday,
- 12:25Speaker 1: and on it they had some protests that were going
- 12:29Speaker 1: on in the seventies and they and one of them
- 12:31Speaker 1: that I saw was Kent State that showed that big
- 12:34Speaker 1: on it. Yeah, man, yeah, it was big. And let
- 12:38Speaker 1: me tell you something. That's when let me tell you
- 12:42Speaker 1: what happened. That was nineteen seventy four dead in Ohio
- 12:47Speaker 1: when the black student population called bus Black United Students
- 12:52Speaker 1: that was organization started when they found out the National
- 12:56Speaker 1: Guards was coming, they sent all black students home. There
- 13:01Speaker 1: were no black students on the campus of Kent State University,
- 13:05Speaker 1: so Kent State had trouble getting black students to return
- 13:12Speaker 1: to Kent State. So that was a program called the
- 13:15Speaker 1: Cleveland Scholarship program to create a way to give minority
- 13:19Speaker 1: students who didn't have the money for college a chance
- 13:22Speaker 1: to go to college. That's how I went to Kent
- 13:25Speaker 1: State University with a Cleveland scholarship. That's how I went
- 13:30Speaker 1: because they couldn't get blacks to go down there. Wow,
- 13:34Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:36Speaker 1: gonna tell you about the outrage of the killing of
- 13:39Speaker 1: Ray Shard Brooks in Atlanta. Right after this you're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: to coming up at the top of the hour, we
- 13:49Speaker 1: have a whole lot to talk about. Who would ever
- 13:52Speaker 1: think we'd be here so quickly Another deadly shooting and
- 13:56Speaker 1: unarmed black man named Race Shard Brooks was killed in
- 13:59Speaker 1: a working a lot at a Wendy's restaurant in Atlanta
- 14:03Speaker 1: by an Atlanta police officer. The Atlanta police chief has resigned.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter protests are still going on all over
- 14:11Speaker 1: the country as a fight for justice continues. I mean it,
- 14:15Speaker 1: it's gonna happen, said it was gonna happen. Yeahpen But this,
- 14:21Speaker 1: this this really didn't make those stairs. They could have
- 14:24Speaker 1: just took it, could have took him home. If you
- 14:29Speaker 1: look at that video that that man shot here is
- 14:33Speaker 1: a guy who was obviously intoxicated, right, Yeah, I have
- 14:37Speaker 1: seen video after video or video over how they handle
- 14:40Speaker 1: intoxicated white people. No, none of them ever get shot
- 14:44Speaker 1: in the back. I mean they snatchways away from officers,
- 14:48Speaker 1: they run, they kick them, they throw punches at them.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Not one of them have I ever seen get shot.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I mean man to shoot this brother in the back
- 15:02Speaker 1: knowing he was intoxicated, and the police officer did everything
- 15:06Speaker 1: in his power to get him to say he was intoxicated,
- 15:11Speaker 1: even before the breathalyzer. Yes, but when they tried to
- 15:16Speaker 1: he was, Man, if you just let me walk home
- 15:17Speaker 1: with everything that's going on, the brother was probably scared
- 15:20Speaker 1: to death to let them head because so now he
- 15:28Speaker 1: on the ground with a knee in his neck. He
- 15:31Speaker 1: resisted arrest at that point. Nothing he did as an
- 15:37Speaker 1: unarmed man and as a person who did what he did.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Even if they tell about he grabbed a taser. You
- 15:44Speaker 1: can't die from a taser, So your life feeling threatened,
- 15:48Speaker 1: that goes out the window. We need. I'm saying this
- 15:54Speaker 1: and I'm gonna keep saying this. I told it to
- 15:56Speaker 1: Al Sharpton. I'm gonna make an issue of it though.
- 15:58Speaker 1: We need manned Tory police sentencing the same way we
- 16:03Speaker 1: have mandatory sentencing for civilians. It's the only way to
- 16:07Speaker 1: hold them accountable and aiding and abetting, just like they
- 16:11Speaker 1: got these criminals with the George Floyd Depp that has
- 16:14Speaker 1: to start sweeping police departments around the nation. You're right, well,
- 16:19Speaker 1: you know you can hear it. It's very busy Monday.
- 16:22Speaker 1: But right now we're gonna switch the script a little bit,
- 16:25Speaker 1: flip it a little bit and make you laugh. As promise,
- 16:28Speaker 1: we're going to start the show off on a lighter note.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It's time now for ask the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve. Right,
- 16:36Speaker 1: all right, right here. This one's from Diana in Phoenix.
- 16:39Speaker 1: She's an online listener Steve. She says, I'm a forty
- 16:42Speaker 1: five year old divorced woman and sexually my ex husband
- 16:45Speaker 1: and I are soulmates. Since my divorce, I can't find
- 16:49Speaker 1: anyone to measure up to him. I've been told that
- 16:52Speaker 1: I am exceptional in the bedroom, but I can't find
- 16:55Speaker 1: anyone to match my stamina. The men want to treat
- 16:57Speaker 1: me like I'm a delicate flower. All I want is
- 17:00Speaker 1: for my legs to tingle and go numb while we're
- 17:03Speaker 1: in the bedroom. Should I start telling the men up
- 17:06Speaker 1: front what I expect. I don't want to come off
- 17:09Speaker 1: as to pushy. Well see you might not be too pushy,
- 17:12Speaker 1: but you probably too much though, for that just sounds
- 17:17Speaker 1: to me like you a little Yeah. See you you
- 17:22Speaker 1: don't ain't nobody can do nothing with you? What are you?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Ain't that doing that? I'm saying, this is as much
- 17:32Speaker 1: as I can do. Well, let's just call it square
- 17:35Speaker 1: right here. I'm good. See you there? Yeah, you know
- 17:40Speaker 1: you up in there doing things that ain't doable, you know,
- 17:44Speaker 1: and so you know, maybe it's you. Maybe you just
- 17:47Speaker 1: a lot now you and your ex husband, you know,
- 17:49Speaker 1: maybe y'all to get back with him, and you know,
- 17:51Speaker 1: maybe maybe that was your soul mate. I don't know
- 17:54Speaker 1: what happened. Maybe, but maybe why y'all ain't together no more?
- 17:57Speaker 1: Maybe you was too much for him. Wow, Maybe you
- 18:00Speaker 1: need to bag down a little bit, give somebody a chance.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Everybody can't weird like you want to compare everyone too.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I wrote my legs Tingley, Well, hey, you give some
- 18:11Speaker 1: icy hot I don't know what tere you have me
- 18:16Speaker 1: all up in here all right. This one's from Margot
- 18:19Speaker 1: in Tallahassee, Florida. She says, I'm a fifty seven year
- 18:22Speaker 1: old woman and I was dating a seventy four year
- 18:25Speaker 1: old man and I found out he's cheating on me.
- 18:28Speaker 1: He lives with its daughter, and my two grown sons
- 18:30Speaker 1: lived with me, so we spend weekends at different hotels
- 18:34Speaker 1: and it's a fun getaway. He has been m ia
- 18:36Speaker 1: the past three weeks because he's been helping to get
- 18:39Speaker 1: his church reopened. Last Monday, his daughter called to ask
- 18:43Speaker 1: me if he was with me because he hadn't been
- 18:46Speaker 1: home in a few days. He had texted me I
- 18:48Speaker 1: love you that morning, but I haven't seen him. I
- 18:51Speaker 1: called up to the church and they said he hadn't
- 18:53Speaker 1: been up there in a while. He's been lying to me,
- 18:58Speaker 1: and my intuition says he's cheating. I thought I was
- 19:01Speaker 1: safe fight dating an older man. Do old man cheat
- 19:05Speaker 1: too well? I mean, look, he ain't got much left.
- 19:09Speaker 1: He sventy for. I mean he probably pretty much just
- 19:13Speaker 1: trying to get it all in. Maybe he had a
- 19:15Speaker 1: shelter childhood. I don't know. Maybe he trying to get
- 19:18Speaker 1: it all in. I don't know why you can't find
- 19:20Speaker 1: his old ass. But is he worth it? Though? Let him?
- 19:25Speaker 1: He's seventy four. How much more fun you think definity be?
- 19:32Speaker 1: So just let him have it? And what no, I
- 19:35Speaker 1: mean what you're tripping for? You? Fifty seven? You're young
- 19:38Speaker 1: girl compared to him. It's almost a twenty twenty as
- 19:42Speaker 1: year from fifty to seventy. Who's jump? So I wouldn't
- 19:46Speaker 1: worry about it. All right, we'll see if we can
- 19:49Speaker 1: get this one in. He ain't even up at the church.
- 19:53Speaker 1: He said he was going up there to reopen the church.
- 19:56Speaker 1: He ain't even up there. And what church number you
- 19:58Speaker 1: got where you can call it? Seeing somebody up Obviously
- 20:03Speaker 1: this ain't no church. This is stove front. Yeah, it's
- 20:06Speaker 1: hurled up there sweeping yet because he can't call down
- 20:13Speaker 1: the pottle's house and find out if here. Yeah, this
- 20:19Speaker 1: a little bit of church. So you think he's cheating, cheating?
- 20:24Speaker 1: He ain't eat up at the church. How long it
- 20:26Speaker 1: takes to open a stove front? Ten minutes? Open the door,
- 20:33Speaker 1: pull out the phone, away chairs and let go the
- 20:38Speaker 1: usher board? Is the choir? All right? We gotta go
- 20:43Speaker 1: coming up ushers. Won't you leave your post to give
- 20:45Speaker 1: us an n B selection. Speaking of churches, church complaints
- 20:48Speaker 1: are coming up on this Wednesday, on this Monday with
- 20:51Speaker 1: Reverend Motown and Deacon def Jam. Right after this, you're
- 20:54Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 20:59Speaker 1: of the hour, we're gonna talk about another police fatal
- 21:02Speaker 1: shooting of an unarmed black man. His name was ray
- 21:05Speaker 1: Shard Brooks. This was in a Wendy's parking lot in Atlanta,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and that Wendy's is where the brutal, brutal killing occurred
- 21:13Speaker 1: and was destroyed in a fire. They burned it to
- 21:16Speaker 1: the ground, the protesters did. We have a lot to
- 21:19Speaker 1: discuss at the top of the hour, but first it's
- 21:21Speaker 1: Monday time to lighten things up a bit, as we do.
- 21:24Speaker 1: And uh, let's smile a little bit with Reverend Motown
- 21:27Speaker 1: and Deacon deaf Jam. Here they are with church complaints.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Me obscuse me, you don't You don't moan before I do?
- 21:36Speaker 1: All right? Man? Oh, Sister Sherley, with you introducers again,
- 21:42Speaker 1: please it's a mony argument. Wow, all right, it's Monday
- 21:47Speaker 1: time for church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon deaf Jam.
- 21:51Speaker 1: We he is in probable order now we're doing it
- 21:57Speaker 1: the way that is supposed to be. We are here
- 22:02Speaker 1: the Monday morning with church complaints, willing to deal with
- 22:07Speaker 1: the infractalitist of course, going on with all these situations.
- 22:13Speaker 1: The deacon or what is it now where I guess
- 22:18Speaker 1: I can bring it out sense, even though they are
- 22:20Speaker 1: in our presence, has to eye. The church has been
- 22:25Speaker 1: looted on and the entire pulpit is gone. Now I
- 22:29Speaker 1: know what. You ain't been there. We've been doing this virtually,
- 22:31Speaker 1: but I've been down to the church. The pulpit is
- 22:33Speaker 1: completely gone. Everything the podium and out. Now, I'm not
- 22:38Speaker 1: trying to start nothing, but they say the pull that
- 22:42Speaker 1: the podium is on Reverend at Nod's back porch. I'm
- 22:46Speaker 1: not trying to start nothing, but I'm just saying that's
- 22:49Speaker 1: where they say your podium is. I've always known that
- 22:53Speaker 1: my brother jealous over my uplifted the Church of Community,
- 23:05Speaker 1: or he doesn't have the ability to go viral. He
- 23:10Speaker 1: calls the last time he went viral, they listened to
- 23:18Speaker 1: his entire sermon up his nostrils. He takes the words
- 23:32Speaker 1: zoom literally and so I'm pretty sure it's on his
- 23:39Speaker 1: back porch. Ye can't get from him. Please bad we
- 23:48Speaker 1: all we can see is your ill again all I took.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I didn't take everything I took. I didn't take a
- 23:59Speaker 1: lot and it shouldn't have been missed to the one
- 24:02Speaker 1: collection plate, six bibles and the biggest chair. That's that's
- 24:09Speaker 1: old problem is that the collection plate had offering in
- 24:15Speaker 1: its guilty. It's charged. That's why we on your head
- 24:22Speaker 1: like no, no, apologize. I can't bring them back because
- 24:32Speaker 1: they're nailed to the floor, so they ain't coming back.
- 24:35Speaker 1: None of the steps back. That's why God with thick
- 24:44Speaker 1: nasal passage, but he can't breathe let me keep him passed.
- 24:55Speaker 1: That you're gonna have to talk to somebody members. They
- 24:57Speaker 1: really are doing something back with thinking SS the diar
- 25:00Speaker 1: Berkins and I Sister Jane an'think Kelly that they don't
- 25:03Speaker 1: understand that COVID nineteen is a virus because they asking
- 25:07Speaker 1: where can they get the new chlor Rox nineteen. Uh
- 25:10Speaker 1: they thinking that if yeah, they're thinking it's some Chloe
- 25:13Speaker 1: Rocks saying that's what's gonna get it out if they
- 25:16Speaker 1: get that new Chloe Rocks nineteen. I need you to
- 25:18Speaker 1: have a contat with these two ladies. Well, I think
- 25:20Speaker 1: we're a little bit too late because of a couple
- 25:22Speaker 1: of the Pilton hustlers at the church has turned or
- 25:26Speaker 1: COVID nineteen into a card game. Also, so objects if
- 25:33Speaker 1: you hit it, you get it. You really miss vegas
- 25:41Speaker 1: lord open all right? Moving along past the eye. Is
- 25:48Speaker 1: it possible that the church can pitch in and get
- 25:51Speaker 1: Brother Amos Gieddrid a GPS. All right? Now here's the problem.
- 25:55Speaker 1: We've been trying to go uh hit these peaceful protest paths,
- 25:59Speaker 1: all right, and he has been in control of the
- 26:01Speaker 1: street maps, and we've been at the wrong place every
- 26:04Speaker 1: time protesting because he don't have it. We haven't been
- 26:07Speaker 1: out of laundry match, no justice, no peace. We are
- 26:10Speaker 1: in the wrong location every time we go somewhere. So
- 26:14Speaker 1: we definitely need some help. We are we was at
- 26:18Speaker 1: a laundry matter and then we was two days to
- 26:20Speaker 1: fow that we was at a tech cashing place. Who
- 26:22Speaker 1: brother who again, dascort author, Brother Gidrid. We're not helping
- 26:30Speaker 1: him getting no or GPS cost. He refused to take
- 26:36Speaker 1: the help for we offer for him to get his
- 26:39Speaker 1: g D. No, you don't even have a g D.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Why do you need a GPS. You can't get three
- 26:48Speaker 1: initials until you get two g D. Good lord, but
- 26:55Speaker 1: that's why we're missing everything. We've been at car watches,
- 26:58Speaker 1: we've been at uh we have we have missed every protest.
- 27:03Speaker 1: So now all the people that's walking without this here
- 27:05Speaker 1: are now we won't go here? Now are they don't
- 27:11Speaker 1: want to do nothing with us? No mother here, Now
- 27:12Speaker 1: we won't go. We've missed all that it, We've missed
- 27:16Speaker 1: out the black lines matter everything. Yeah, what are you doing?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Father in law? Walking and told me that the Westons
- 27:25Speaker 1: is off? What part of the churches he watching? Do
- 27:34Speaker 1: you want to go turn the Westons on for him
- 27:37Speaker 1: so we can continue the h is he in the investiment?
- 27:44Speaker 1: You know, we have a senior section, senior citizens section,
- 27:49Speaker 1: and the old black men likes to watch or Westerns
- 27:53Speaker 1: and cowboy Indians doing service or they're not driving their
- 27:57Speaker 1: wife down there. Oh so obvious man. Well they oh,
- 28:03Speaker 1: they love Chuck Conner, all of them right now. None
- 28:11Speaker 1: of them is quick enough to be Matt Dillon. All
- 28:13Speaker 1: of them could be Festis from from Gunsmoke Wheel. Just
- 28:20Speaker 1: work that into the complaints and all right, he opened
- 28:24Speaker 1: my office doing yal Then I can't get t Woodston.
- 28:28Speaker 1: That's no car. Before we go past. I do want
- 28:31Speaker 1: you to know we got a call from the White
- 28:33Speaker 1: House from the Chief Joint Officer that they want to
- 28:36Speaker 1: Donald wants to come. I'm sorry to prey the dead
- 28:38Speaker 1: wants to come and take a pitch in front of
- 28:40Speaker 1: our church. But that's gonna be so you're not coming
- 28:43Speaker 1: down here taking a damn pitching nowhere with his upside
- 28:47Speaker 1: down Bible holding ass. We're not gonna have that down
- 28:50Speaker 1: open here. I'll tell you that right now, come down here.
- 28:53Speaker 1: You won't be Trump no more. All right, take the
- 28:58Speaker 1: tea off, and you got what's gonna ye on this
- 29:01Speaker 1: Monday coming up at the top of the hour, we'll
- 29:04Speaker 1: get serious again and talk about uh wow. This Atlanta
- 29:08Speaker 1: police deadly shooting at Rachchard Brooks. Right after this you're
- 29:12Speaker 1: listening to show Rachard Brooks was seen sleeping in a
- 29:19Speaker 1: car and blocking a Wendy drive through lane in Atlanta
- 29:23Speaker 1: and someone called the police. That's how it got all
- 29:26Speaker 1: got started. Well now, the Atlanta PD has released bodycam
- 29:30Speaker 1: video showing the interaction between Rachard Brooks and cops in
- 29:34Speaker 1: that Wendy's parking lot, just moments before Rachard was shot
- 29:37Speaker 1: and killed. The conversation between mister Brooks and Officer Garrett
- 29:42Speaker 1: Rolfe starts off cordial, take a listen. I can't I
- 29:47Speaker 1: can't blame mething on her my decision. I said, hey,
- 29:51Speaker 1: but she can't get her ardor together. And you know,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'm not feeling you know of tight right now? I
- 29:59Speaker 1: just park right here, go to sleep. I'm not feeling
- 30:04Speaker 1: you know, I'm just not feeling right. What do you
- 30:07Speaker 1: mean you're not feeling right? She like, I think maybe
- 30:12Speaker 1: that you had too much to drink and you realize
- 30:14Speaker 1: that you shouldn't drive, so you park? I mean, would
- 30:20Speaker 1: that be accurate to say? Yes? So what's the roth? Yes?
- 30:25Speaker 1: All right, so your girlfriend drops you off, You got
- 30:26Speaker 1: into the car, off in car, and you're like, damn,
- 30:30Speaker 1: I'm too drunk and drive, and so you pull back
- 30:32Speaker 1: into the parking SPoD park. I call her in like, bay,
- 30:35Speaker 1: is that accur if if it's a couple of moments
- 30:39Speaker 1: I got over the fall with her? Yeah? This is
- 30:46Speaker 1: so yeah obvious. The rolf is trying to get Brooks
- 30:53Speaker 1: uh in this particular clip, to get Brooks to admit
- 30:56Speaker 1: that he had been drinking and driving. Pressing him to
- 30:59Speaker 1: take a sobriety test, ray Shard Brooks makes it clear
- 31:03Speaker 1: that he doesn't want any trouble. He agreed to leave
- 31:05Speaker 1: his car behind and walk home. Of of Sir Ralph
- 31:08Speaker 1: appeared to have viewed that conversation as a confession that
- 31:12Speaker 1: mister Brooks was unable to drive. Mister Brooks eventually takes
- 31:17Speaker 1: the test and with a breathalyzer, and that's when the
- 31:21Speaker 1: cops tried to handcuff him and allegedly grabbed the He
- 31:25Speaker 1: allegedly grabbed the officer's taser gun when he ran away
- 31:28Speaker 1: with their non lethal weapon, but they fatally shot him
- 31:31Speaker 1: three times. Let me let me, let me ask a
- 31:36Speaker 1: question here, because I saw the tape, so it got
- 31:39Speaker 1: I didn't get to part where the taiser was. So
- 31:43Speaker 1: they're saying he grabbed their taiser gun, but he was
- 31:47Speaker 1: running away with it. He was pointing at it. Yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 1: but he well, he turned running away and then he
- 31:52Speaker 1: turned with the taser in his hand. Yeah. Well, but
- 31:55Speaker 1: how did you get shot in the back if you
- 31:57Speaker 1: turned well, I mean it's not like he with full
- 32:02Speaker 1: frontal train. You know, if you're running and you might
- 32:05Speaker 1: look back ye see, it's the shooting in the back
- 32:11Speaker 1: from a person running. And let me tell you something,
- 32:15Speaker 1: I don't know how tasers work exactly, but they don't
- 32:18Speaker 1: work if you're running the other way. The cord ain't
- 32:24Speaker 1: that long. So once again, though this officer just listening
- 32:30Speaker 1: to the tape, it just goes to show you it
- 32:33Speaker 1: don't take much right right. Their fuse when it comes
- 32:38Speaker 1: to black people is either non existent or very short,
- 32:44Speaker 1: and either way it results in the death. See once again, y'all,
- 32:50Speaker 1: I think we're gonna have to start pushing for mandatory
- 32:54Speaker 1: sentencing for police officers and aiding at a betting because
- 32:58Speaker 1: you can't watch your officer, your fellow officers commit a
- 33:02Speaker 1: crime and stand there and be a part of it. Now,
- 33:05Speaker 1: of course, the other man couldn't have stopped this guy
- 33:08Speaker 1: for shooting him, but one of them said after the shot,
- 33:11Speaker 1: I got him. Yeah, you got him for what? Yeah? Yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: he's just running with the taser gun. And you all
- 33:20Speaker 1: knew this man was intoxicated. That's why he was trying
- 33:24Speaker 1: to get him to admit it. Now, in the autopsy,
- 33:27Speaker 1: whatever blood level he come back, I think we could
- 33:30Speaker 1: all say in the tape, we saw he was inebriated. Bro, Absolutely,
- 33:35Speaker 1: that's okay. But now I was watching PD live, and
- 33:38Speaker 1: I think I mentioned this earlier. I was watching PD
- 33:40Speaker 1: Lidell's white guy in Louisiana that was drunk his hell,
- 33:44Speaker 1: my husband. The police talk to this man and talk
- 33:47Speaker 1: to this man. He talked back, just like his brother
- 33:50Speaker 1: was talking. You know what they did. They drove him home.
- 33:55Speaker 1: He offered to walk, They said, will thank you good
- 33:58Speaker 1: enough shape to walk? They drove him home. The brother
- 34:02Speaker 1: offered to walk home. Yes he did, Yes he did.
- 34:05Speaker 1: He just didn't want to be in custody. Man, right,
- 34:07Speaker 1: How does it escalate so quickly though, That's the thing.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It just escalates so quickly, and then you're dead. Someone's dead,
- 34:15Speaker 1: another black man, he's dead. If you're sitting in your car,
- 34:20Speaker 1: tell me to crime. What is the crime is not
- 34:24Speaker 1: moving right? Exactly exactly. The only thing he was doing
- 34:29Speaker 1: was I guess, obstructing the other drivers who were trying
- 34:32Speaker 1: to get through the drive through. So someone called instead
- 34:35Speaker 1: of it. But it's not, yeah, it's not he should
- 34:39Speaker 1: die that he did. He moved. He went and parked
- 34:43Speaker 1: someplace because the police officer asked him to move to
- 34:46Speaker 1: the parking lot, he asked him to move his car
- 34:48Speaker 1: see other way. What escalates it so quickly? That's what
- 34:52Speaker 1: I want to know. Number one is the color of
- 34:55Speaker 1: your skin and the officer's attitude towards your color of
- 35:02Speaker 1: your skin. I think you answered that quite adequate. And
- 35:05Speaker 1: they asson it is a fear factor too. I just
- 35:10Speaker 1: believe this. It's a fear factor. Okay, they are so
- 35:14Speaker 1: afraid and unarmed black man, but they are afraid period
- 35:22Speaker 1: of what can happen if they just take this man
- 35:27Speaker 1: on man to man. The useful deadly force was unnecessary.
- 35:31Speaker 1: You could have easily tackled this drunk guy. Yes, this
- 35:37Speaker 1: is and it has been ruled a homicide this year.
- 35:40Speaker 1: And then the officer was fired and the other officer
- 35:45Speaker 1: has been in jail, right administratively. Yeah, all right, well
- 35:50Speaker 1: we're gonna move on. We'll keep continue this conversation throughout
- 35:53Speaker 1: the morning. Coming up in twenty minutes after more of
- 35:56Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening,
- 36:03Speaker 1: all right, So protests and all of us are outraged,
- 36:06Speaker 1: I mean outraged at the fatal shooting of Rachard Brooks.
- 36:10Speaker 1: This is according to his family. Mister Brooks was a
- 36:12Speaker 1: loving husband and father to his three daughters and stepson.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Before he was shot, he asked the Atlanta police officers
- 36:20Speaker 1: if they could just let him go to his family.
- 36:22Speaker 1: It appears that Rachard was afraid or he panicked or
- 36:26Speaker 1: something while being arrested and allegedly grabbed the officers taser
- 36:29Speaker 1: gun and was shot after pointing the taser at the officers. Okay,
- 36:34Speaker 1: which is what I wanted to say that I haven't
- 36:36Speaker 1: touched on yet. I don't think that the average American
- 36:42Speaker 1: of non African descent can possibly understand the anxiety that
- 36:48Speaker 1: a black man feels when he stopped by the police.
- 36:53Speaker 1: There is no way I have never ever been stopped
- 36:57Speaker 1: by the police for anything and was comfortable. Always in
- 37:03Speaker 1: the back of my mind was I think of, man, okay,
- 37:05Speaker 1: I'm doing everything right and my compliant, can they see
- 37:09Speaker 1: my hands? Who as my license? Man? I don't won't
- 37:12Speaker 1: teach people to shoot me. And the last time I
- 37:14Speaker 1: was stopped by the police was two years ago traveling
- 37:18Speaker 1: from Montgomery, Alabama to Atlanta with my boy grad Calhoun,
- 37:23Speaker 1: who's to cease now, and we got stopped by highway
- 37:25Speaker 1: patrol and guess what it went? Similar to that to
- 37:30Speaker 1: the point where the lady that came up on my
- 37:32Speaker 1: side asked me for my ID. I put both my
- 37:35Speaker 1: hands on top of the glove compartment. She said, why
- 37:37Speaker 1: are you acting that way, sir? I said, because I
- 37:40Speaker 1: don't want nothing to happen to me. She said, well,
- 37:42Speaker 1: all I need is your ID. I said, ma'am, my
- 37:45Speaker 1: idea is in my backpack, in a bag in that backseat,
- 37:49Speaker 1: and I don't want to reach back there. She said, well,
- 37:52Speaker 1: how are you gonna give me your ID? I don't know,
- 37:58Speaker 1: but me and you need to have want to stare out.
- 38:02Speaker 1: And you know what the weird part about it is,
- 38:04Speaker 1: everybody black has been stopped. Everybody how you stopped every
- 38:09Speaker 1: black person? How have you managed to stop every Negro
- 38:14Speaker 1: on the face of their can't tell you. I ain't
- 38:17Speaker 1: never been stopped. I know has that same story everyone
- 38:24Speaker 1: after you've got stop, you know, it takes it takes
- 38:28Speaker 1: three or four weeks for that to get out your
- 38:30Speaker 1: for you to quit shaking. You quit shaking, man, So
- 38:34Speaker 1: hit a crazy part. You don't even have to be
- 38:36Speaker 1: a drop. You could be in the back seat seat.
- 38:39Speaker 1: It'll have to be dr and you can't you know,
- 38:45Speaker 1: I don't know mister Brooks or anything about him, but
- 38:48Speaker 1: just listening to what you guys are saying, and just
- 38:50Speaker 1: based on what we've what's been on TV with George
- 38:53Speaker 1: Floyd and all that, I can't imagine that he wasn't
- 38:56Speaker 1: thinking the same thing when they stop. Yeah, you know
- 39:01Speaker 1: all this stuff that's in the news, Listen to me,
- 39:05Speaker 1: this is not new. Yeah, all right. Go to Steve
- 39:08Speaker 1: Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook to comment. Now. Coming
- 39:11Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour, Dave Chappelle
- 39:13Speaker 1: released a comedy special about racism and police brutality. We're
- 39:17Speaker 1: going to talk about that right after this. You're listening
- 39:20Speaker 1: to show. Well, Dave Chappelle is at it again. He's
- 39:25Speaker 1: released a comedy special where he talks about racism, he
- 39:28Speaker 1: talks about police brutality. The specialist titled eight forty six,
- 39:33Speaker 1: named for the eight minutes and forty six seconds that
- 39:35Speaker 1: a police officer kneeled on the neck of George Floyd,
- 39:39Speaker 1: killing him. Dave also called out CNN's Don Lemon and
- 39:43Speaker 1: conservative commentator Candice Owens and Laura Ingram. Chappelle criticized the
- 39:48Speaker 1: fact that Don Lemon said that celebrities should be using
- 39:51Speaker 1: their power during the civil unrest instead of staying silent.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Take a listen. So the other night, I'm in my
- 39:57Speaker 1: little clubhouse and I'm watching Don in that hot bit
- 40:01Speaker 1: of reality. He says, where are all these celebrities? Why
- 40:04Speaker 1: aren't you talking? Said everybody. I was screaming at the TV.
- 40:08Speaker 1: I dare you to save me? I dare you? Has
- 40:12Speaker 1: anyone ever listened to me do comedy? Have I not
- 40:15Speaker 1: ever said anything about these things before? So now all
- 40:18Speaker 1: of a sudden, this expects me to step in front
- 40:23Speaker 1: of the streets and talk over the work these people
- 40:26Speaker 1: are doing as a celebrity, asking me, do you want
- 40:30Speaker 1: to see a celebrity right now? Do we give them
- 40:33Speaker 1: what y'all rule thinks? Does it matter about celebrity? No,
- 40:37Speaker 1: this is the streets talking for themselves. They don't need
- 40:41Speaker 1: me right now. I kept my mouth shut, see, because
- 40:48Speaker 1: what happens now is look, man, see I got a
- 40:55Speaker 1: twofold situation here because I happened to be a celebrity.
- 40:59Speaker 1: But I understand that where my voice in my place is.
- 41:04Speaker 1: This is my platform, this radio station, Shirley Carler, Junior Jay, Tommy,
- 41:11Speaker 1: this is our platform. This is across the airways, millions
- 41:15Speaker 1: of people hear us discussing being hurt angry about this
- 41:20Speaker 1: on a day. We are not overlooking this subject. When you,
- 41:26Speaker 1: as a celebrity, sometimes show up just for the big moments,
- 41:32Speaker 1: when you got foot soldiers out here that's on the
- 41:35Speaker 1: grind with this hustle day in and day out. Sometimes
- 41:40Speaker 1: it can be taken as just a photo album, and
- 41:47Speaker 1: so I'm conscious of those things. I'm conscious of waiting
- 41:52Speaker 1: for just the big moments to go out front. And
- 41:56Speaker 1: you have to be careful of that because, like Dave
- 41:59Speaker 1: just said, street people handling this, yeah, because they're on
- 42:03Speaker 1: the ground every day. Some celebrities are, and myself included,
- 42:09Speaker 1: because we're not out in the streets on the day
- 42:12Speaker 1: to day. We are on the other side of the racism.
- 42:15Speaker 1: We get it on another level. We get it at
- 42:18Speaker 1: at our networks, we get it in the movie business.
- 42:21Speaker 1: It alwa's real for us now, don't you think it's not.
- 42:25Speaker 1: But the people that's out there in the streets right now,
- 42:28Speaker 1: they drive it. They're getting pulled over for tickets. So
- 42:31Speaker 1: to me, it's a twofold situation. You know, it's you
- 42:36Speaker 1: can go out there, But to me sometimes it's a
- 42:38Speaker 1: photo op looking opportunity and then and out there. I know,
- 42:42Speaker 1: like I know Tyler Perry and Oprah and Michael Jordan
- 42:47Speaker 1: and Robert Smith. I know they're doing stuff on a
- 42:50Speaker 1: level that most people won't even see. But they are
- 42:54Speaker 1: impactful and because they've been dealing with this for a
- 42:58Speaker 1: long time. You don't have to be on the front
- 43:01Speaker 1: lines of protest to be effectively working for the calls. Yeah,
- 43:05Speaker 1: behind the thing. You do not want to call him
- 43:09Speaker 1: out and some some celebrities should never talk and just celebrity,
- 43:14Speaker 1: it's just a period that's not your calling to talk. Well,
- 43:22Speaker 1: John Lemon did respond, Steve. He did respond to Dave Chappelle,
- 43:25Speaker 1: saying that he was honored first of all to be
- 43:27Speaker 1: mentioned by Dave Chappelle, and he was right that people
- 43:31Speaker 1: don't care about celebrities in their opinions. So he agreed
- 43:35Speaker 1: with Chappelle. But I think John Lemon was just so angry.
- 43:38Speaker 1: He was so upset, you know, at the time, he
- 43:41Speaker 1: was just I That's what I think Don Lemon did.
- 43:44Speaker 1: But anyway, he gets well, I do, I do, I do,
- 43:46Speaker 1: I do. But you can't single people out though. Yeah, yeah, see, man,
- 43:51Speaker 1: you can't do that. Because you don't know what everybody's doing. Right,
- 43:57Speaker 1: it's people doing stuff on levels that you ain't on.
- 44:00Speaker 1: But don's lemon I thank god for doctive man. Yeah,
- 44:07Speaker 1: doom is effective. Yeah, speaking of that. Coming up next,
- 44:11Speaker 1: we're going to switch gears. And if you tell me

- 44:28Speaker 1: share him with me? His ex wife is willing to

- 48:38Speaker 1: see how it's looking. You might want to come back
- 48:39Speaker 1: and bring out your crew. Mona, I can't, I can't.

- 49:12Speaker 1: would react just this way. This is what the people
- 49:14Speaker 1: in the office are talking about. I don't give a
- 49:16Speaker 1: down what they I've been this covering almost ain't yells,
- 49:19Speaker 1: ain't no hand, nobody counting me telling me some my

- 53:58Speaker 1: we're gonna read this one right here, right now. Okay,
- 54:05Speaker 1: hold on tight, We got it for you here. It
- 54:07Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letter, all right. Subject his wife is
- 54:11Speaker 1: willing to share him with me. Dear Stephen Shirley. I
- 54:14Speaker 1: was in a relationship with a man for six months,
- 54:17Speaker 1: but we fell in love quickly and we were living together.
- 54:20Speaker 1: He is thirty six and I'm thirty one. He's going
- 54:24Speaker 1: through a divorce when he met me, so I made
- 54:27Speaker 1: him wait until the papers were signed before we had sex.
- 54:30Speaker 1: He told me that his wife divorced him because he
- 54:33Speaker 1: cheated on her multiple times. He told me that he
- 54:37Speaker 1: cheated simply because his wife had stopped having sex with him.
- 54:41Speaker 1: He often went to his old house to get more
- 54:43Speaker 1: of his things so he could fully move in with me.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Two weeks ago, he went over and when he came back,
- 54:49Speaker 1: he was quiet and wouldn't look me in the eye.
- 54:52Speaker 1: After I kept asking him what was wrong and accusing
- 54:56Speaker 1: him of messing with his ex wife. He admitted that
- 54:58Speaker 1: he did, cried and tried to work through it, but
- 55:02Speaker 1: the next day he told me that he had talked
- 55:04Speaker 1: to his ex wife and told her he would move
- 55:07Speaker 1: back in because he's ashamed of how he left her.
- 55:10Speaker 1: A couple of days later, he left me and moved
- 55:12Speaker 1: back into his home with her. I was an emotional wreck.
- 55:16Speaker 1: He came over to see me a few times to
- 55:18Speaker 1: see if I was all right, and we made love
- 55:21Speaker 1: each time. I told him I want him to come back.
- 55:25Speaker 1: He said that it was a possibility if I were to,
- 55:30Speaker 1: if I were open to having a relationship with him,
- 55:33Speaker 1: despite him being with his wife. He said he told
- 55:37Speaker 1: his ex about me and how he had fallen in love.
- 55:40Speaker 1: He said his ex wife was willing to let him
- 55:42Speaker 1: continue to see me if I was okay with the arrangement.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I'm so love sick. I entertained this crazy notion for
- 55:51Speaker 1: a day or two he came over. But he came
- 55:54Speaker 1: over to my house last night and he smelled like
- 55:57Speaker 1: her perfume, and I lost it him so much, and
- 56:01Speaker 1: I don't want him to go, but I don't think
- 56:03Speaker 1: I can be a third wheel. It's having part of
- 56:06Speaker 1: a man better than no man nowadays. Wow, you really
- 56:10Speaker 1: drank the kool a, didn't you. I mean, all the
- 56:12Speaker 1: time he was going over to his house supposedly to
- 56:16Speaker 1: get things to bring over to your house. Yes, he
- 56:18Speaker 1: was sleeping with his wife, just like he sleeps with
- 56:21Speaker 1: you when he comes over your house. And the question
- 56:24Speaker 1: is a having part of a man better than no
- 56:27Speaker 1: man nowadays. That's unacceptable any day, you know, and it
- 56:33Speaker 1: should be unacceptable to you unless you're like, I mean,
- 56:36Speaker 1: just unbelievably desperate, which it sounds like you are. You
- 56:40Speaker 1: just want to settle for anything. Come on, now, why
- 56:43Speaker 1: would you want to do that. Let this man go
- 56:46Speaker 1: back to his wife and stay there so they can
- 56:49Speaker 1: keep their little, you know, threesome more open marriage arrangement
- 56:53Speaker 1: they got going on to themselves. And his wife is
- 56:58Speaker 1: stupid too if she thinks the way she can keep
- 57:00Speaker 1: him is to invite you into their marriage. But I
- 57:05Speaker 1: think they do this. It almost sounds like it's some
- 57:07Speaker 1: sort of game. I think you should stand your ground
- 57:10Speaker 1: and not become the third wheel, as you say, in
- 57:14Speaker 1: all of this craziness. I think you won't know better though.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I think you do in your heart, you just think
- 57:19Speaker 1: that you're in love with this guy. You're not in
- 57:21Speaker 1: love with him, and what do you really have with him? Anyway?
- 57:27Speaker 1: Didn't don't you remember that he told you he cheated
- 57:29Speaker 1: on his wife multiple multiple times, multiple times. He's a
- 57:34Speaker 1: cheater and that's why he was in trouble with his wife.
- 57:37Speaker 1: All right, So do you think he wouldn't cheat on you? Okay,
- 57:43Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying if he came to stay with you.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Let me just say this to you. Every man who
- 57:47Speaker 1: wants to cheat and get with someone one else, they
- 57:49Speaker 1: always say that their wife doesn't have sex with them
- 57:53Speaker 1: and they're unhappy. That's like the standard line. So don't
- 57:57Speaker 1: get sucked into that. I mean, please, just let him
- 57:59Speaker 1: stay over there. Do not consider being in a three
- 58:02Speaker 1: summer with them. This is craziness right here. This is
- 58:05Speaker 1: you don't want to do this. Let that man go
- 58:08Speaker 1: back to his wife and stay Steve. This whole damn
- 58:13Speaker 1: letter don't make no damn sense. As a matter of fact,
- 58:19Speaker 1: as I was listening to surely read the letter, I
- 58:22Speaker 1: kept saying through the whole letter, what so what I'm
- 58:26Speaker 1: calling this letter is the subject is his wife is
- 58:29Speaker 1: willing to share me with him. But I'm gonna call
- 58:32Speaker 1: this the letter call what because it is so many
- 58:36Speaker 1: what moments in this damn letter that I can't read
- 58:40Speaker 1: it without saying. What? Here we go? I'm in a
- 58:44Speaker 1: relationship with a man for six months. We fell in
- 58:46Speaker 1: love quickly, living together. He thirty six and I'm thirty one.
- 58:50Speaker 1: He was going through a divorce when we met, so
- 58:53Speaker 1: I made him wait until the papers were signed before
- 58:55Speaker 1: we had sex. What? What didn't you just say? I
- 59:04Speaker 1: was in a relationship with man for six months, but
- 59:06Speaker 1: we fell in love quickly, and we were living together.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Y'all live together? They had sex? He thirty six. He
- 59:14Speaker 1: was going through divorce when we met, so I made
- 59:16Speaker 1: him wait until the papers were signed before we had sex. What?
- 59:20Speaker 1: Here we go again? He told me that his wife
- 59:22Speaker 1: divorced him because he cheated on her multiple times. Wait
- 59:27Speaker 1: a minute, he told you that? What? See? That was
- 59:33Speaker 1: a setup? He told you the reason him and his
- 59:35Speaker 1: wife because he cheated on her several times. He told
- 59:38Speaker 1: me that he cheated simply because his wife had stopped
- 59:42Speaker 1: having sex with him. What. He often went to his
- 59:46Speaker 1: old house to get more of his things so he
- 59:48Speaker 1: could fully move in with me. Now, you just said
- 59:50Speaker 1: y'all was living together, But now you're saying so he
- 59:54Speaker 1: could fully move in with you. And two weeks ago
- 59:58Speaker 1: he came back and he was it wouldn't look me
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: in the eye. After I kept asking what was wrong
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: in accusing and messing with his ex wife, he admitted
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: that he did what Why did you do that? Because
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: he couldn't look you in the eye? What? All right? Steve?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Hang on? Where? What will we come back? We'll have
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: minutes after the hour today Strawberry letters, subject his ex
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: wife is willing to share him with me. We'll get
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening Morning Show?
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: His ex wife is willing to share him with me.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: You renamed it the letter of what, the Letter of what?
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: And there's so many hots in this letter. Let's quickly
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: go over what we found out. Um been with this
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: relationship with a man for six months, fell in love quickly.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: He thirty six thirty one. He was going through a
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: divorce when we met, so I made him wait till
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the papers were signed before we had sick. What y'all?
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: He moved in with you, y'all living together? Y'all. They're
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: having sick till the papers get signed, Okay, letty right.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: He told me his wife divorced him because he cheated
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: on her multiple times. He told you that what he
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: told me that he cheated simply because his wife has
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: stopped having sex with him. What you mean outter, she
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: found out you were screwing everybody else, she quit having
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: sex with you so you wouldn't screwed a few more people.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: That's what you did, okay? Bro? He often went to
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: his old house to get more of his things so
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: he could fully move in with me. So you he
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: was living with you, But he kept going back over
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: there and get some more things, and you kept unlocking
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: the dough What what? Two weeks ago he went over
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: there and when he came back, he was quiet, and
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: he wouldn't look me in the After I kept asking
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: what was wrong in accusing me of a messing with
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: his ex wife? He admitted that he did. What Why
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: did he tell you that? What? This dude couldn't look
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: you in your eye? He'd been screwing up, he'd been
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: looking you in your eye, just this one night he
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: couldn't do it. He admitted that he did. He go
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the next line. We cried and tried to work through it.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Whatever the hell is he crying fault? He's screwing everybody?
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: What is he crying fault? We cried and tried to
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: work through it. But the next day, right after that,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: he told me he had talked to his ex wife
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: and told her he would move back in because he
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: was ashamed of how he left her. What right? So
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: what was it crying fault? Because he knew what he
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: was gonna tell your stupid ass tomorrow. So he cried,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: he ain't gonna leave. What imfy time? I don't want
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: to have sex with him? She keeps putting it in
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: my face. Yeah. A couple of days later, he left
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: me and moved back into his home with her. I
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: was an emotional wreck. Yeah, oh wait a minute, oh wait,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: this is the woman that he was cheating on because
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: she wouldn't have sex with him when she started having
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: sex with him after he left her. For you, this
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the story you're going with, okay, lady? He left me
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: and moved back into his home with her. I was
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: an emotional wreck. He came over to see me a
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: few times to see if I was all right. We
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: may love each time. What of course you did? What
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: then when he was just an emotional wreck, he just
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: left you? He told you why he was leaving you.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: He told you why he left his wife the first time.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: He because he's kept screwing around. He'd been going over that,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: picking up socks and stuff, bringing him slowly packing the drawer.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: He probably ain't got a whole drawing at your house.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I told him I wanted him to come back. He
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: said it was a possibility if I was open to
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: having a relationship with him, despite him being with his wife.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: What wait a minute, that's what you're doing now? He
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: back with his wife. He keeps coming over that screwing you.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: You already in that. He just checking with you to
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: make sure you still cool with it. How stupid are you?
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: He said he told his ex wife about me and
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: how we had fallen in love. She said his ex
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: wife was willing to let him continue to see me
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: if I was okay with the arrangement. So you really
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: think that This man then told his ex wife, who
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: he had to move back in with, that he in
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: love with you, And he asked her because he still
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: see you, and she said, as long as it's okay
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: with you, you should call that. Ask her if that
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: was because I can promise you. I promise you this
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: conversation they've been, She said, I'm so love sick. I
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: entertained this crazy notion for a day or two. What
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: entertained it? But he came over to my house last
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: night and he smelled like her perfume, and I lost it.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: What you're bad for he's sleeping back with her. He
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: didn't move back in with her. That's who gonna be
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: on him when he come over your house? Is huh?
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: You better be lucky. It was perfume you were smelling? Hello?
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: What why didn't you shower? I love him so much
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: and I don't want him to go, but I don't
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: think I could be a third wheel. No, no, you
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: are the third wheel. You've been the third wheel. What
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: is heir? You're thinking you can't beat that phone? No more?
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: You are the third wheel. It's having part of man
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: better than no man nowadays. You love sick. He moved
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: back in with her, which he never really left anyway,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: because he was just packing the drave at your house.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: He never did have a close pants over that one
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: pair of Nikes. Thank you post, You're coming and you're done.

- 1:09:56Speaker 1: here right now, but we'll be back, coming up at
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: the top of the hour, eating este. Yesterday was President
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Trump's seventy fourth birthday. People on social media, though, called
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Obama Appreciation Day. That's what they call. We'll talk about
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: it right after this. Yeah, you're listening to the Steve
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Well, yesterday, guys, was President trump seventy
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: fourth birthday, but people on social media celebrated June fourteenth
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: as Obama Appreciation Day. That yeah, and people also used
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: to tweet all birthdays matter. Use it to tweet all
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: birthdays matter. They asked the question, what do you miss
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: most about Obama? TUMPA. President Trump was also upset about
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: how everyone was mocking how we walked down that ramp
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: after his commencement speech for West Point graduates. He looked
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: like he was going to fall. But remember now, back
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: in twenty fourteen, when Trump tweeted about how President Obama
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: ran down the stairs of Air Force one, Obama was
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: cool with his swag. Yeah all the time. Right. You know,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I'm definitely not a Trump supporter, but you reach a
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: certain age where you respect steps genuinely. Okay, you you
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: don't tackle him hard. Trump said about Obama that it
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: was so unpresidential. And President Trump has also decided to
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: cancel his campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, that was scheduled
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: for Juneteenth. The President said many of his African I'm
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: gonna read this. I want this to sink end, guys,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: the president said, many of his African American friends, Now,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: who is that the White House? Last? Right, they asked him.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: His African American friends asked him to reconsider moving the date,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: to consider it. So now the rally will be held
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: the next day, in June twentieth. So well, because go ahead.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: The reason he moved was the phrase that everybody get
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: when he threatened to do something. Come on, come on,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: come on, they told him, because he's clueless. He's clueless.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: He he knows nothing about our culture. He cares nothing
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: about our culture. He never has and he never will. Now,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: the five black dudes that was over there just kissing
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: his behind last week talking about you, the greatest thing,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: or you want to talk Obama economics, run it by me.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Hey man, them five brothers that's up there talking about
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: how much Donald Trump has done for the African American
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: I just want to ask all of the one question.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I wish I was at that table. Just tell me
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: what he's done. I'm glad you would, Doc John, Just
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: tell me what he has done for the African American community.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: All these black people that's running up that time out
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: he hadn't done so much for African American what have
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Let me ask you a question. Has any of you
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: felt the impact in a positive way of him being president? Now?
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: But I remember when he was trying to recruit or
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: solicit black people, black the black vote for his campaign.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: What have you got to lose? Remember that? Oh yes,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: what have you got to lose? Which means but no,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: But listen to me, Listen to me, Listen to a
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: man who makes a statement like that to African Americans.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: What do you have to lose? You know what? He
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: knows you have nothing? Yea, he knows you have nothing.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: You have nothing going for you. We've stripped you of everything.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Why not give me a chance to show you what
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I might can do because we've done everything to you,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: including himself. That's the statement he was actually making to
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: black people. What do you have to lose? Listen, I
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: know y'all ain't got nothing. I'm telling you you have nothing.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: We stripped that, So now what you got to lose?
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Try me? Was that pastor from Cleveland up there? Yeah,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: he was up there, That's who told him. Yeah, all
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: nineteen eighty nine high collar shirts, not eighty nine right there. Man,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Hey man, I want to do some reshut. I want
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: to find out what high school. He wouldn't do it
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Cleveland so his soul. Listen to when he was doing
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: his friends, Well, hold on that time. You remember when
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: he was doing that rally and he looked over these shows.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: There goes my African amerriage. So he has five. That's like,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: hey dog, that's big ass number from him. Look at
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: his cabinet. Yeah, none of them across that. He got
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: a damn surgeon, the head of hood. All right, we
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: gotta get out of here. Coming up more of the
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: day's trending stories on Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening to show,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: well our friend and family Member Attorney Benjamin Crump thanked you, Steve,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the Steve Every Morning Show crew and our listeners for
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: helping to get Brianna Taylor's law passed in Louisville, Kentucky,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: banning the use of no knock warrants. Yeah, that's big
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: news over the weekend, but we still, of course have
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: work to do. Beyonce wrote and posted an open letter
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: on her website yesterday to the Kentucky Attorney General, Daniel Cameron,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: highlighting the fact while that while a new law has
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: been passed in Brianna's name banning the use of no
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: knock warrants, as I mentioned, her family has still not
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: received true justice. Beyonce said it has been three months
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: now and zero arrests have been made and no officers
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: have been fired. Beyonce went on to say, don't let
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: this case fall into the terrible pattern of no action.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: She finishes the letter by saying the next month cannot
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: look like the last three A right, yeah, thank you. Yeah,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: just like Jay Z wrote a letter to the governor
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: of Minneapolis during the George Floyd murder and call them
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: yeah yeah and met with me. Yeah. I like it.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: So I'm glad. She wrote that and hopefully you know
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: we're watching that case. We're watching it. Brianna. Oh yeah, justice, Yeah,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Brianna Taylor. That's it. We're not done justice so many
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: yeah Brooks now yeah, now this latest one, all right,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: We'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: the hour you're listening. We are demanding justice for ray
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Shard Brooks, who was killed by the Atlanta police in
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Atlanta and now protesters in California are demanding investigations of
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: two separate deaths of black men. Hanging and Palmdale, California,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: twenty four year old black man named Robert Fuller was
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: found hanging from a tree near city Hall. Authorities say
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Fuller's death appeared to be an apparent suicide, but an
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: autopsy has been ordered. Also, in Victorville, California, authorities say
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: thirty eight year old Malcolm Harsh hanged himself near a
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: homeless encampment. Fuller's family is also asking for an investigation
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: into his death. And is this never gonna stop? Is
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: it ever gonna stop going? Oh? Yeah, yeah, this country
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: has gone. It's just too much. It is really it's
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: from the top. Yes, this country has been this way.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: It has it's it's it's been this way. The part
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: of it now is is you know and grateful. I'm
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: grateful for this, But racism is the hot topic today
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: when it hasn't been since Martin Luther King was leading marches.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I mean, race was really big back then. That's when
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: they was putting Bull Connors on TV. That's the first
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: time we got some help when they showed Bill Bull Connors,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: German Shepherd and fire holes and all in black people.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: And that was first time the white American said wait,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: whoa what what? And then boom. But now this is
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: the hot topic of racial injustice and it's sickening. It's sad,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: but it's but it's time for change and I really
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: do feel like something positive is going to come out
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: of this. But the sad part is it keeps happening.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: This young brother that got killed yesterday should never have happened.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: You would think, in light of all this that's going on,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: all these protests, you think that the cops would be
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: on their best behavior. Yes, but you know what though,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: this is their best behavior. Yeah, they have no other
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: it's systemic racism at its best, and so they are
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: at their best behavior. And like Jay made a point
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: off the air, we keep talking about all cops ain't
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: bad cops. But if you stand there and are in compliance,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: if you stand there and allow injustice to happen, and
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: you don't become a voice for that brother or that
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: person that's being unjustifiably detained, shot murdered, doing anything, then bro,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: you're just as bad. Silence is compliance, that's all it is.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: And far too many good police officers have been silent
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: because of the cold blue brotherhood law that they have
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: And I'm sorry. What has to happen is mandatory police sentencing,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: just like it is mandatory civilians sent to see all right, yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: this it's exhausting, Steve, but we gotta stay in the fight.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: We gotta fight. Coming up, coming up, the one and
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey with his closing remarks for today. That's
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour, right
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: after this you're listening to all right, here we are, guys,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: our last break of the day on this Monday. Wow,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: what a day, What a weekend, what a year? And
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: it's just Monday, right, It's still unbelievable. What happened this
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: past weekend? And it yeah the sharp Brooks Brooks, Yeah,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: twenty seven year old black man, no gun, unarmed. The
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: chief of police resign Yes, chief of police in Atlanta resigned,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: and the mayor fired the cop that that uh fired
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: the fatal shots. They need to be in jail. Everybody
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: gets to resign. Okay, yeah, where the charges? Yeah? Well yes,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: she resigned. The cot needs to be in jail. That's
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. Yes, yes, all right, you got it?
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: You ready, Steve Ye? All right? You know in closing today.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Um again, just off the top of my head, I'm
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: not the spokesperson for black people, but I am a
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: black man who has been alive long enough to have
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: seen this his entire life, before social media could capture this,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: I saw it. See. I grew up at a time
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: I've seen colors only water fountains. I grew up when
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: black people just went to school with black people. I
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: was alive before bussing. I've seen a lot. None of this,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: None of this is new to me. I am grateful, though,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: for this young generation who has stood up and said
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: we are sick and tired of this. Well, congratulations, as
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: you should be. But their sick and tiredness is real, y'all.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: The exhaustion of black people is real, and all the
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: evidence is now upfront and you can see it for yourself.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: This is why black people are tired. What you're seeing
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: now and making note of now is what we have
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: been sick and tired of our entire life. Every Black
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: person that's alive today has been sick and tired of
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: this from birth. Who is honest about what has happened?
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Not those who are trying to get a position with
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Trump and trying to be one of the Trump support
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: We're not talking about that person. We're talking about the
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: people who are really really honest about what's been happening here,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: not those sitting up talking about Trump has done more
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: for black people than any other president. Because if you
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: can name me one thing specifically that he has done
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: for black people, I'm open to listen to it. Don't
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: just make statements and think we're just gonna go for it.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Because you're making statements, they haven't been going for any
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: of our other statements like that. We have been screaming
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: injustice for hundreds of years. We have been screaming that
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: the judicial system is unfair. For years, we have been
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: screaming about police brutality. For years, we've been screaming this.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: But now racial injustice and racism is a hot topic now,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: and for that I'm grateful. But it ain't nothing new.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: It ain't nothing new. And so as I look at
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: the reaction of some of the young people, can I
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: tell y'all something that ain't new either? Y'all tripping about
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: They burned down a target, and he burned down the Wendy's.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: When I was eleven, the corner of my street was
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: on fire after they killed doctor King. I saw this
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: place go up in flames. I've seen a couple of
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: rides like this. It's not new, it's just now some
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: people are starting to hear us. But Marthin Luther King
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: said it best. Rioting is the language of the unheard. See,
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: it only gets like this when you take people who
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: have been severely oppressed, who have been screaming at the
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: top of their lungs, and you stopped listening to them,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: and you act like you don't hear them. Then they
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: get you where you will hear though, now is it
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: right now? But guess what killing that brother in that
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: Wendy's parking a lot. That wasn't right either. Killing brother
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Aubrey wasn't right either. Killing George Floyd wasn't right either.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Eric Gardner wasn't right either. I can't even name the names,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: but somebody sent me or mean the other day that
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: said Michael Vick served more time for killing a dog
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: than all the police officers total for the last four
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: hundred and ninety three black men that were killed at
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the hands of police. Did you hear what I said?
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Michael Vick served more time for killing a dog than
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: all the policemen total who have killed the last four
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: hundred and ninety three black men. That's why we sick
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: in tire. That's why the exhaustion of black people is real, man.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: And I don't really care anymore that you don't understand
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: why they out there. I don't care because I have
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: watched for years you not care about the killing of
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: these black people. So this is what happens now. Now.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Do I want young people to be careful and don't
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: break the law so they can't use that same law
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: against you legally? Of course, I want black people to
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: be careful. I don't want us to hustle backwards. But
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: I do understand it, and I'm glad that racial injustice
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: and unequality and police brutality is the hot topic today
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: because it should have been the hot topic a long
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: time ago, because we've been screaming about it for our
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: entire lives. So now something has to happen. The one
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: thing that I want to push for is mandatory police sentencing,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: just like we have mandatory sentencing for civilians. That's the
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: only way police have to be accountable for their actions.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: If you're killing one all man, anybody else got to
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: go to jail. That has to happen, period. Those of
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: my clothes remarks, I have plenty more that where it
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: has come from. This week, y'all have a great week
