- 2:11Speaker 1: got a radio show today? Is it? Everybody? Okay? On
- 2:15Speaker 1: a real positive note? Today? Is it? Today? Is the day?
- 2:21Speaker 1: You know, when I was in high school, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: my mother's Sunday school teaching until she passed. I would
- 2:27Speaker 1: walk out the door every morning on my way to school,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and my mother used to say, listen to me something
- 2:34Speaker 1: hey don't get. Today is the day that the Lord
- 2:37Speaker 1: has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And you know, I don't think much of it. You know,
- 2:42Speaker 1: it's just my mama being religious. You know, my spiritual woman.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So you know, I just took it as that. But
- 2:48Speaker 1: as I've gotten older, man, you know, that's registered more
- 2:52Speaker 1: and more with me. You know, today is the day
- 2:57Speaker 1: that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be
- 3:00Speaker 1: glad in it. That's pretty cool, man, I mean, what
- 3:04Speaker 1: better blessing will you get throughout the day than the
- 3:08Speaker 1: fact that he allows you to live and see another day?
- 3:12Speaker 1: See sometimes, Man, when you're young, you don't pay no
- 3:15Speaker 1: attention to that. But all you got to do is
- 3:18Speaker 1: keep living, keep watching some people that you know not
- 3:23Speaker 1: be here anymore. Go to class reunions and they're smaller.
- 3:29Speaker 1: See people that you really loved. It meant a lot
- 3:31Speaker 1: till you leave this world, and all of a sudden, man,
- 3:36Speaker 1: immortality starts to matter a great deal to you. Some
- 3:41Speaker 1: of us learned this lesson sooner than others. But I know,
- 3:45Speaker 1: when you're young, man, you know, you think you're gonna
- 3:47Speaker 1: be here for a while. You think you've got time
- 3:48Speaker 1: to play around. You think you've got time to get
- 3:51Speaker 1: it together, you've got time to make the mistakes, and
- 3:53Speaker 1: you got time to chill. But man, oh man, almost
- 3:57Speaker 1: every full blown adult that I know will tell you
- 4:00Speaker 1: and have said these words right here many times. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: I went to the reason I'm saying this because I
- 4:05Speaker 1: want you to hear him, because you're gonna use them. Man,
- 4:09Speaker 1: if I only knew then what I know now. Do
- 4:12Speaker 1: you know how many people have said those words right there?
- 4:17Speaker 1: Because in time, man, you gained so much wisdom. Oh
- 4:21Speaker 1: but it ain't like nobody didn't tell you though. See
- 4:24Speaker 1: that's the hooker. Somebody told you back then. Hey man,
- 4:28Speaker 1: it's best to buckle down now, he said, Hey man,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you better quit wasting time. Hey man, don't stop taking
- 4:34Speaker 1: your foot off the gas pedal. Hey look, do your
- 4:37Speaker 1: best at all the times. You know, stop stop worrying
- 4:40Speaker 1: about that. I'm telling your son. In a minute, them
- 4:42Speaker 1: clubs ain't gonna mean nothing to you. In a minute,
- 4:45Speaker 1: they're going out all the time. Ain't gonna mean nothing
- 4:47Speaker 1: to you. I can't tell you how many times I
- 4:50Speaker 1: heard all of it. I can't tell it to you.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times I repeat it
- 4:54Speaker 1: to my kids. But man, today is a different day,
- 5:00Speaker 1: because today is the day that the Lord has made.
- 5:02Speaker 1: So he gave you a shot today. If you if
- 5:04Speaker 1: you woke up this morning, or if you're finishing your
- 5:07Speaker 1: day on your shift. He gave you a new day,
- 5:10Speaker 1: nothing bigger than the fact that he woke you up today. Now,
- 5:15Speaker 1: why don't you do something about that? Why don't you
- 5:18Speaker 1: take advantage of it? How about today? How about if
- 5:21Speaker 1: you start today? How About if you stop hesitating today.
- 5:24Speaker 1: How about if you stop delaying it today? How About
- 5:27Speaker 1: if you stop procrastinating today. How About if you make
- 5:29Speaker 1: today to day that you go forward. I mean, man,
- 5:32Speaker 1: let's all just decide today, Let's go forward. Let's put
- 5:36Speaker 1: forth a maximum effort today. How about today? I mean, really, man,
- 5:41Speaker 1: what you're doing? You look, man, take advantage of this
- 5:44Speaker 1: blessing of waking up. Do something today. So many people
- 5:50Speaker 1: are in the doulge rooms of life, or living in
- 5:53Speaker 1: a rut, or just merely existing instead of thriving simply
- 5:57Speaker 1: because of one one thing. You just won't do it today?
- 6:03Speaker 1: If you would just start the process, man, Start that
- 6:06Speaker 1: business you always dreamed of. Go looking to that other
- 6:09Speaker 1: job you always yearn for. Go get the training you
- 6:12Speaker 1: need to get the promotion. Man, going back to school, man,
- 6:16Speaker 1: go see what you need to do to lift yourself
- 6:18Speaker 1: to the next level. Stop waking up every day seeing
- 6:22Speaker 1: high it's gonna go and start waking up and do
- 6:24Speaker 1: something about how it goes. If you make one step,
- 6:27Speaker 1: he'll make two. But you can people people talk about
- 6:30Speaker 1: all the time. Man, it seems like you're always getting
- 6:32Speaker 1: a blessing. Oh man, when you're talking to a person,
- 6:35Speaker 1: listen to this. If you're talking to a person and
- 6:37Speaker 1: it seems like there's always a blessing coming his way,
- 6:41Speaker 1: let me tell you what that person doing. That person
- 6:43Speaker 1: is putting one foot in front of the next. That
- 6:46Speaker 1: person is putting forth some efforts out there. And that's
- 6:49Speaker 1: the only way God can bless you. God can only
- 6:52Speaker 1: bless you with your efforts. He can only put his
- 6:55Speaker 1: finger on the thing that you are doing all a
- 7:00Speaker 1: empty that's all he could help you with. He there
- 7:05Speaker 1: are no jobs walking up to your door, knocking on
- 7:08Speaker 1: your door. But if you're beating the payment, if you're
- 7:10Speaker 1: sending in the apps, if you online scouring somewhere to work,
- 7:13Speaker 1: somewhere to get a job, then God can touch somebody's
- 7:16Speaker 1: hard to hire you. But if you're sitting at the
- 7:19Speaker 1: house every day, smoke everyday, drinking, but you wonder why
- 7:26Speaker 1: you just can't get a job. A couple of times
- 7:28Speaker 1: you don't want out there. You got to. If you
- 7:29Speaker 1: ain't got a job, you gotta look get go get
- 7:31Speaker 1: one every day. You got to go look for one
- 7:34Speaker 1: every single day. You can't take no days off. But
- 7:37Speaker 1: then walks in the park. Man, I'm watching TV. You
- 7:40Speaker 1: are you up on all the housewives shows, all the
- 7:42Speaker 1: reality shows? When your life, really, really, your reality is yours.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I don't even understand that. Man, Why are you sitting
- 7:50Speaker 1: up watching somebody's life play out in front of you?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Good or bad. They're going on trips on these shows.
- 7:57Speaker 1: They they driving on these shows. They are and fighting
- 8:01Speaker 1: on this show. You ain't about everybody's life but yours.
- 8:05Speaker 1: How about today? How about today? If we decide today
- 8:10Speaker 1: is the day that we're gonna make the move. Today
- 8:12Speaker 1: is the day that we stopped delaying, hesitating, procrastinating. Today
- 8:17Speaker 1: is the day that we take a step in the
- 8:18Speaker 1: direction to do something for ourselves, for our lives, for
- 8:21Speaker 1: our family, for our wives, for our children, for our community,
- 8:25Speaker 1: for our school. Do something today, for crying out loud, man,
- 8:30Speaker 1: stop sitting in your own life in just a stew
- 8:34Speaker 1: of misery in your own life. I'm gonna tell you something.
- 8:41Speaker 1: If you are in a state of confusion. If you
- 8:44Speaker 1: are troubling, if you're stuck on what to do next,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you let me tell you what's happening. You're not doing enough,
- 8:53Speaker 1: That's what it is. Man. See when I when I
- 8:58Speaker 1: get in a place, man and where I don't know
- 9:02Speaker 1: what the next move is, it's because I unusually stalled out. See,
- 9:07Speaker 1: this is the way God works. This is the way
- 9:08Speaker 1: He's worked for me. Every time I'm busy and I'm
- 9:12Speaker 1: about the business of always trying to live my creed,
- 9:16Speaker 1: which is ABC. My My motto is ABC always be closing.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I'm always working on something, something to close something. When
- 9:25Speaker 1: you're so busy with the business of improving yourself and
- 9:29Speaker 1: doing with yourself and becoming the best you you can be.
- 9:32Speaker 1: God is always working on your behalf, behind some scene
- 9:38Speaker 1: or something that you're in the process of tempting to close.
- 9:42Speaker 1: But because you're not doing all you can do, you're
- 9:46Speaker 1: limiting you. You are because of your decision not to
- 9:49Speaker 1: give you all in all, you're limiting the opportunities for
- 9:53Speaker 1: God to put his finger on things and touch them
- 9:55Speaker 1: on your behalf. I don't know if the average person
- 10:00Speaker 1: really understands or knows what it takes to truly be
- 10:05Speaker 1: successful or whatever level you're talking about. But whatever that
- 10:09Speaker 1: level is, I don't care what the dollar amount you've
- 10:11Speaker 1: got attached to it, what level you got, if you
- 10:14Speaker 1: have made the decision that you're going to be successful,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I think that a lot of people, the average person,
- 10:20Speaker 1: does not know what that means. Whatever level you've decided
- 10:24Speaker 1: to be successful on. See, that's your level of faith,
- 10:27Speaker 1: that's where you see your life at. Well, guess what
- 10:31Speaker 1: you got to maximize your efforts to even get to
- 10:34Speaker 1: that level, let alone looking over there at somebody else. See,
- 10:39Speaker 1: don't worry about what our President Obama got all the
- 10:42Speaker 1: way up there. His level of faith was all the
- 10:44Speaker 1: way up there, but then his work ethic is much greater.
- 10:49Speaker 1: But it's all in perspective to where you're trying to
- 10:53Speaker 1: be in your world of success. And if you ever
- 10:56Speaker 1: say to yourself, I want to be successful, listen to me.
- 10:59Speaker 1: If you want to be successful at your church, if
- 11:01Speaker 1: you want to be successful in your relationship, if you
- 11:03Speaker 1: want to be successful down at the day cassing, if
- 11:06Speaker 1: you want to be successful at your college, if you
- 11:09Speaker 1: want to be successful on your job, guess what it's
- 11:12Speaker 1: gonna take All you got in that world to become
- 11:17Speaker 1: a success. I don't know why people think that. If
- 11:22Speaker 1: you don't want to be what somebody else said, you
- 11:24Speaker 1: ain't gonna put forth that effort. Now, No, ain't wrong.
- 11:28Speaker 1: You've got to put forth your maximum effort at whatever
- 11:31Speaker 1: role you're trying to accomplish. That's what people mess up at.
- 11:35Speaker 1: That's why you see so many people when I ain't
- 11:36Speaker 1: trying to hand no bill you so, I ain't gonna
- 11:39Speaker 1: do all that. True, true, true, But let me ask
- 11:41Speaker 1: you what you're trying to have them? You're trying to
- 11:43Speaker 1: have a hundred thousand. You ain't there yet. So now,
- 11:46Speaker 1: if you're not there, what you're chilling for? If you're
- 11:49Speaker 1: not there, what's the vacation for. If you're not there,
- 11:53Speaker 1: what's the drinking and the happy hour and the party
- 11:56Speaker 1: and the smoking? What's it for? If you ain't there?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Out have mercy? Man? How about today, though, y'all? How
- 12:03Speaker 1: about today? Today is a good one. Let's make today today.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Let's get out of that. Let's get on with it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Stop hesitating, stop delaying, stop procrastinate, start today. Watch God
- 12:15Speaker 1: have something to put his finger on there. And that's
- 12:18Speaker 1: all you're trying to do man, to line yourself up
- 12:21Speaker 1: with God's grace, you gotta put out a lot of
- 12:23Speaker 1: effort so God can put his finger on So you
- 12:27Speaker 1: feel me today, I shall hope you do because I'm
- 12:29Speaker 1: on one today. You're listening to eighteen eighteen minutes after
- 12:41Speaker 1: the hour. Welcome to the ride, y'all. Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay,
- 12:47Speaker 1: got a little bit going on. I have no heads
- 12:49Speaker 1: set power. I can't hear nothing, but I just keep
- 12:53Speaker 1: on talking because I can hear myself, So that's just fine. Uh,
- 12:59Speaker 1: good morning, and everybody. We're broadcasting live everybody from the ESPN. Oh,
- 13:10Speaker 1: I don't know what I got ready to call it
- 13:12Speaker 1: the ESPN Epicotic Experience, Dementio simulcast. You know how you
- 13:22Speaker 1: don't really know where you are, but you try to
- 13:24Speaker 1: act like it make it sound real. Disney, We're broadcasting
- 13:28Speaker 1: live from the ESPN Club Experience and Oh Magic Kingdominia. Yeo. Uh,
- 13:39Speaker 1: we'll be here all day with broadcasting live. I need
- 13:41Speaker 1: a little more head set and um, we're having a
- 13:44Speaker 1: good time down here. It's Disney, Man is the happiest
- 13:47Speaker 1: place on earth. Is the place of imagination. It's where
- 13:52Speaker 1: dreams come true. And it's the safest place. Let me
- 13:56Speaker 1: tell you a story. What happened to me yesterday down here?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Tell you how safe its places? It was sometimes top top.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I'm good, Junior would ask me. Right now, I just
- 14:12Speaker 1: need some more head sets, Jill. And yesterday I did
- 14:16Speaker 1: the parade. Did he speak to us, carlin I did?
- 14:21Speaker 1: I did speak to y'all, but you didn't hear, but
- 14:24Speaker 1: you didn't have your ear bullety. Okay, good morning, Shirley,
- 14:32Speaker 1: Happy Friday, beautiful Friday, Disney World Happy. I do sound
- 14:41Speaker 1: low to see what y'all should have did while y'all
- 14:45Speaker 1: was in here just gossiping, which y'all should have been
- 14:47Speaker 1: testing these lines, which it was. But mine, I'm mind working.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Did he speak to you, carlin I did speak to y'all?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Good morning, call, good morning, hey man. Okay, we out
- 15:11Speaker 1: of time for the parade story that I had because
- 15:14Speaker 1: we've been so busy speaking. So I'm in the parade
- 15:19Speaker 1: right So the parade is over and we're going to
- 15:23Speaker 1: back and they told us that we were gonna go
- 15:26Speaker 1: eat at this place called Tiffins, which is a really
- 15:29Speaker 1: really nice restaurant. It's on the Animal Kingdom, Oh property,
- 15:35Speaker 1: because I usually eat at the what is that downstairs
- 15:42Speaker 1: at the Animal Kingdom, the restaurant Gene Coles are us
- 15:46Speaker 1: leading Jenko's. But they got a new restaurant they opened up.
- 15:48Speaker 1: It's called Tippins. You gotta go in there. You gotta
- 15:51Speaker 1: hear a long speech for they take your order. You
- 15:53Speaker 1: gotta in here and here about Africa and Asian, how
- 15:56Speaker 1: they met, how the African continentals almost overrun by Asian coup,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you know, but they couldn't get far because they were
- 16:06Speaker 1: different colors. So we could see them coming quicker, and
- 16:10Speaker 1: it was something like that. They were saying, I'm pretty
- 16:12Speaker 1: sure that. So we're going the difference to eat. So
- 16:18Speaker 1: after the parade is over, we get in the car
- 16:21Speaker 1: to go, and one of the floats in the parade
- 16:24Speaker 1: is like all like mirrored glass, right, so we are
- 16:29Speaker 1: behind that behind the gate. We in backup Magic City
- 16:33Speaker 1: where they make magic happen magic because you're not you're not.
- 16:38Speaker 1: May you realize what you just said? Right? Oh yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 1: this is most certainly not Magic City in Atlanta. But nothing.
- 16:52Speaker 1: They don't bake that much magic down Magic City for
- 16:58Speaker 1: those of you that Unfamiliars club. But I just wanted
- 17:03Speaker 1: to clear that up, to understand, to enjoyment that ju
- 17:06Speaker 1: just have it. So we're back there and we are
- 17:12Speaker 1: we're getting the car, and we're behind this one float. Okay,
- 17:17Speaker 1: and this one black dude is in charge of moving
- 17:20Speaker 1: this float. Somebody then told him that his whole livelihood
- 17:26Speaker 1: depends on the safety and movement of this one float.
- 17:32Speaker 1: This boy serious, He was way too serious about his job.
- 17:35Speaker 1: So we're behind this float. We're going four the people
- 17:40Speaker 1: walking it's passing. Now I'm hungry. So it gets to
- 17:46Speaker 1: the part where this float has to go up a
- 17:48Speaker 1: hill or for safety purposes, they have like these things
- 17:51Speaker 1: that pull their baggages around on the tarmac. You see
- 17:54Speaker 1: those trucks that one to hook them up in the front,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but they also put one behind in case. Disney is
- 18:01Speaker 1: very safe, right in case something happens in the cable
- 18:03Speaker 1: break and I have a truck behind this so it
- 18:06Speaker 1: won't come back down the hill. So I said the dude,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I said, hey, man, can we just go around? No, no,
- 18:10Speaker 1: you can't. Talking a little harsh to me that whole
- 18:16Speaker 1: I don't know if you think I work at Disney,
- 18:18Speaker 1: but I don't. So the comeback gonna be severe. It's
- 18:24Speaker 1: not because this is a behind the scene Disney moment
- 18:31Speaker 1: where we make the magic happen. It don't be magic
- 18:34Speaker 1: till we come out front. But we're in the back
- 18:37Speaker 1: going through it. But what did the guy tell you?
- 18:40Speaker 1: You can't? No, you cannot. But he's talking to me,
- 18:43Speaker 1: not a roll of Winter down so he could see
- 18:45Speaker 1: me because I was real nice and I say, bro,
- 18:47Speaker 1: are we and it wasn't. But fifty I said, bro,
- 18:50Speaker 1: we're just trying to make a right turn right there,
- 18:52Speaker 1: and you can let us go. You can't pass the float.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Damn you're doing vote dog, you doing four twenty five.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So they hook it up and they make the turn
- 19:06Speaker 1: to the left and we're going to the right. He
- 19:09Speaker 1: stands in front of our truck and won't let us go.
- 19:11Speaker 1: So the float goes all the way around out of sight.
- 19:14Speaker 1: But now we're not allowed ever to get in front
- 19:17Speaker 1: of his float, so he made us sit there. The
- 19:20Speaker 1: float came all the way back around to the intersection
- 19:23Speaker 1: that I was trying to make it right there, and
- 19:25Speaker 1: he let the flow go in front of us again.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I had that one thow down, I said, thinking castle
- 19:37Speaker 1: and then he's turned around talking about I'm doing my duty, sir,
- 19:41Speaker 1: if you tell me one more thing about you and
- 19:43Speaker 1: this little glass float, I said, bro, oh, you do
- 19:46Speaker 1: make an executive decision. We could have made the right turn.
- 19:49Speaker 1: That's not what I was chold to do. Why is
- 19:52Speaker 1: it everywhere every city you go in the fight. I'm
- 19:55Speaker 1: going to find him everything I'm going to find today
- 19:59Speaker 1: having to get in the fight, and he gonna eat
- 20:01Speaker 1: that cold as sandwich eat yesterday. By time I got there,
- 20:05Speaker 1: my food was cold. All right? Coming up at thirty
- 20:08Speaker 1: four after the hour, something funny with Junior and nephew Tommy.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Is it another episode of Right and Wrong? I don't know. Alright,
- 20:17Speaker 1: We're at the tenth annual Disney Dreamer's Academy from Orlando, Florida.
- 20:21Speaker 1: We'll be right back. You're listening to all right? Coming
- 20:31Speaker 1: up with something funny. Show producer on the road is
- 20:33Speaker 1: from Mississippi. And there's nothing like having a country person
- 20:37Speaker 1: at you. But yours always about to go out. She
- 20:43Speaker 1: needs to clear her vote, all right, Junior Tommy with
- 20:47Speaker 1: Right or Wrong? Coming up? We're live from the tenth.
- 20:51Speaker 1: This is the tenth annual. Yeah, this is ten years
- 20:54Speaker 1: and I didn't know really how big it was, But
- 20:57Speaker 1: Disney is really excited about this being the tenth year
- 21:01Speaker 1: because we've changed over one thousand young people's lives, and
- 21:07Speaker 1: I think that's really really a huge, huge accomplishment. I
- 21:11Speaker 1: think that for this company to stick to this program
- 21:15Speaker 1: for ten years says a lot about their commitment, uh
- 21:19Speaker 1: to our communities and our young people. And I'm just
- 21:22Speaker 1: really really amazed at how Disney has stayed with this
- 21:26Speaker 1: program uh this long and and and enriched it, made
- 21:30Speaker 1: it better and better and better and better. They've really
- 21:33Speaker 1: really gone above and beyond for these young people. It's
- 21:36Speaker 1: been one of the proudest things that I've been associated
- 21:39Speaker 1: with them, very very happy and proud to be associated
- 21:42Speaker 1: with it. And today the beat goes on. Or we
- 21:45Speaker 1: got our tenth class in last night. We welcomed them
- 21:49Speaker 1: and uh they got their Disney reps with them, and
- 21:51Speaker 1: we separated their mamas and daddies. The kids were so
- 21:55Speaker 1: happy and got their mom and them got their own artinery.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I don't told them go downtown and drink, you know,
- 22:02Speaker 1: just let Disney have your kids for the weekend. Go
- 22:04Speaker 1: downtown and forget you got kids, I know, I do.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I was three of my kids worked even every year,
- 22:12Speaker 1: and they come right up to me and I act
- 22:14Speaker 1: like I don't even know that look, just like I
- 22:18Speaker 1: don't care. I'm paid all the money I'm paying for mine.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Hit yourself with job right a wrong coming up? It
- 22:32Speaker 1: doesn't matter where we are, must mean go in. You
- 22:37Speaker 1: want some ladies and gentlemen there here with? Is this
- 22:42Speaker 1: right or wrong? The debate continues between Junior and the
- 22:47Speaker 1: nephew about controversial issues. Who's right a wrong? Alright, fellas,
- 22:52Speaker 1: let's hear all right? Yeah, so just just just be quiet, alight.
- 22:59Speaker 1: So I called Junior last man, I let it okay.
- 23:03Speaker 1: For the last two or three nights, I watched Good
- 23:05Speaker 1: Times three nights straight, and you know what, I looked
- 23:10Speaker 1: at James, and I looked at Florida, and then I
- 23:14Speaker 1: looked at the album, and then I looked at j
- 23:18Speaker 1: j and then and then it just came to me.
- 23:23Speaker 1: What came to There is no way possible that Michael
- 23:30Speaker 1: was their child. He's the only light skinning one. You
- 23:34Speaker 1: cannot tell me that Florida did not step out on JO.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So I called Junior, and I tell you my sick doll.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I said, all the year in Florida with cheating on.
- 23:48Speaker 1: He gonna hang up on me, and I keep calling
- 23:51Speaker 1: him back, he won't pick up now, y'all tell me
- 23:55Speaker 1: right Arond, because you can't. I mean, I learned it
- 23:57Speaker 1: didn't school, you know? In people can you know you
- 24:01Speaker 1: can get the diamondant from the recessive, but you can't
- 24:03Speaker 1: get the RECESSI from when don't come from. What I'm
- 24:05Speaker 1: saying is too dark skin people not gonna make a
- 24:07Speaker 1: light skin person. There's no way Michael is James in
- 24:12Speaker 1: Florida's child. I think too dumb mass can't have an
- 24:18Speaker 1: intelligent conversation. Yeah, I've come to that conclusion. That was
- 24:23Speaker 1: cheating nut. She stepped out. But surely then he gonna
- 24:27Speaker 1: tell me that's why Michael was smarter than the rest
- 24:29Speaker 1: it was. That wasn't the child, that's what that's everybody
- 24:34Speaker 1: else was smart. He was only smart when in the
- 24:35Speaker 1: family car. But did it ever occur to you that
- 24:40Speaker 1: they're not even a real family, don't it's just TV
- 24:45Speaker 1: that didn't even never crossed your Flaida and James ain't
- 24:49Speaker 1: really ever slept together. And Esther Roll is not Ralph
- 24:57Speaker 1: Carter's real mommy or filmer? Who did you say that's
- 25:03Speaker 1: the role Florida. Didn't know that. I thought that was
- 25:17Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show three to one. You're
- 25:26Speaker 1: all I'm doing. This is how, this is how we
- 25:30Speaker 1: get produced live. She's a wonderful girl. Her voice though
- 25:34Speaker 1: she needs and you know, some people like her mama
- 25:37Speaker 1: name should have discovered early on. You know it's something
- 25:41Speaker 1: wrong with our baby's voice when she was a baby. Yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: you probably it started. Well, even when you cry, if
- 25:51Speaker 1: you cry old cry, that's a sign that your voice
- 25:58Speaker 1: is in trouble. Baby, you'll be laying in a bit. Baby, baby,
- 26:05Speaker 1: sound like a sheep. Yes, we need to get the
- 26:09Speaker 1: baby some help, and that way the baby can grow
- 26:11Speaker 1: up and have a nice, dainty, feminine voice. You want
- 26:15Speaker 1: your daughter's voice to be attractive and alluring to a man,
- 26:19Speaker 1: not an alarm signal. Back up now. See it can
- 26:25Speaker 1: go from back up now, say it into mike. Back
- 26:28Speaker 1: up now, back up now A right, that's different from
- 26:30Speaker 1: back up now. She one of them is like, oh,
- 26:34Speaker 1: here I come, and the other one is I better
- 26:36Speaker 1: get the hell back see. And that's what happened to
- 26:39Speaker 1: Mississippi Monica. There was no voice training for her as
- 26:42Speaker 1: a small, beautiful girl, keep a little self together just
- 26:47Speaker 1: as just as you know, when she don't talk, you fool,
- 26:51Speaker 1: you are completely bambooms. You thank yourself. Look at this
- 26:56Speaker 1: little fun thing right him? All right? Now, Remember the
- 27:00Speaker 1: first time I met her at the toil down in Atlanta.
- 27:02Speaker 1: And what did she say that when she spoke, when
- 27:04Speaker 1: she came up to the lobe, she didn't say nothing.
- 27:06Speaker 1: That's why I thought she was fine. For a lot
- 27:08Speaker 1: long she was silent. I've never known her to be silent.
- 27:16Speaker 1: So then she looked at me and she went, so
- 27:19Speaker 1: you ain't gonna And I thought it was you know,
- 27:23Speaker 1: somebody had through their voice into I thought it was
- 27:25Speaker 1: a trick. So you ain't gonna, said, damn me, she's sick.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I said, maybe you need to go home later and
- 27:32Speaker 1: you know, get you some queen and ride it out.
- 27:37Speaker 1: And then I found out that that's just how she sounds.
- 27:40Speaker 1: She just sound like you know ni quill. Yeah, she
- 27:43Speaker 1: owns it all right, coming up with the nephews, run
- 27:46Speaker 1: that break backs, the pecan tree, pe cancan, you know
- 27:51Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. It. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 28:03Speaker 1: reach uh LC Hey, let me let me Hey, my
- 28:09Speaker 1: name is Marcus uh my, my Mama, them little next
- 28:12Speaker 1: dough to you, uh Mr, and mrs my mom and
- 28:15Speaker 1: daddy little next doe to you. And I was calling
- 28:17Speaker 1: because y'all got a pa country in yall backyard, I
- 28:21Speaker 1: mean right on the fist line and and to keep
- 28:24Speaker 1: you know, pecan and stuff keep falling over into my
- 28:27Speaker 1: mom and them yard. So I'm talling to see if
- 28:29Speaker 1: y'all can do something man, where y'all can pick up
- 28:34Speaker 1: I mean, my mama nam got a little older. You know,
- 28:36Speaker 1: we've been picking them up for a long time, but
- 28:38Speaker 1: I need somebody to, like, maybe you can cut the
- 28:41Speaker 1: limbs back that's hanging over so that they won't you know,
- 28:44Speaker 1: the pecans won't be falling over into my mom and
- 28:46Speaker 1: them yard because you know, for them to be bending
- 28:49Speaker 1: over like they're picking up their paca, and there's a
- 28:50Speaker 1: lot of them, so you know, Mr, Because I just
- 28:53Speaker 1: wanted to howl at you and see if you don't
- 28:56Speaker 1: mind maybe cutting the limbs back, because even when we
- 28:58Speaker 1: turned the lamo on this stuff, man, it's just you know,
- 29:01Speaker 1: the because of stuff be coming out of the lamo
- 29:04Speaker 1: just shooting all over the place. Well, first of all,
- 29:07Speaker 1: mavacom Tres old calm tree. You know, it's about well,
- 29:13Speaker 1: and I can't see me cutting it well. I mean,
- 29:17Speaker 1: I'm not saying you can't have nobody to maintain your yards,
- 29:22Speaker 1: but I mean you it's your mother. You can maintain
- 29:26Speaker 1: your mother's yard, Sir. I go by my mother's house,
- 29:29Speaker 1: you know, every other day and check on it. But
- 29:31Speaker 1: I don't have time to go on the back and
- 29:33Speaker 1: pick up pecans and stuff. You know what I'm saying.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I mean, if you just it don't seem no more
- 29:37Speaker 1: than like maybe four or five limbs that's hanging over there.
- 29:40Speaker 1: But them four or five limbs, I mean they they
- 29:43Speaker 1: there's a lot of pecans falling off of that. So
- 29:45Speaker 1: if mavacorn tree and shady I goes back there, there's
- 29:51Speaker 1: no kind of nothing back the okay whatever, sir. I'm
- 29:57Speaker 1: not cutting my tree fort like that, sir. Let's what
- 30:00Speaker 1: I'm what I'm trying to get you to do is
- 30:01Speaker 1: I'm not I don't want you cutting your entire tree down.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I just want you to cut a few limbs, sir,
- 30:06Speaker 1: so you know those that way that those are the
- 30:09Speaker 1: ones that are hanging over it won't be you know,
- 30:11Speaker 1: the pecans won't be falling over into my mom's near yard.
- 30:14Speaker 1: And and and you know, like I say, they're older now, man,
- 30:16Speaker 1: they can't be bending over like that. So you know,
- 30:19Speaker 1: I'm I'm just coming to you as a man right
- 30:21Speaker 1: now and asking you when you please cut this down
- 30:24Speaker 1: to these pecans and quit falling over my mom and
- 30:26Speaker 1: them yard almost and you all you can do is
- 30:29Speaker 1: someone I know your mother, don't cut your yard. It's
- 30:34Speaker 1: it's a guy that it's a guy that cuts the yard.
- 30:36Speaker 1: But even when he cutting the yard, these pecans is
- 30:39Speaker 1: flying out from underneath the y'all the law more they
- 30:42Speaker 1: sooner later we're gonna be breaking windows over that. Lord.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Person you have that don't pick up before they cut?
- 30:50Speaker 1: Why am I arguing with you about picking up stuff
- 30:52Speaker 1: and all of this? I'm asking you to cut a
- 30:55Speaker 1: funking left five limbs so these dogs on pecans ain't
- 30:58Speaker 1: a falling over my mama yard. You you want to cut,
- 31:01Speaker 1: you're gonna make me come over here and cut the whole.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I would come cut the whole damn tree down. You
- 31:06Speaker 1: ain't on with my tree. I grew that tree from
- 31:09Speaker 1: when I was the kids, and that long as I'll
- 31:13Speaker 1: stay though, sir, Look I didn't ask you like a
- 31:16Speaker 1: man to cut your little funking, but coun tree down now,
- 31:19Speaker 1: I ain't in the hat. What you know? What what
- 31:23Speaker 1: you you? You badter know you can't cut it? Iveen,
- 31:27Speaker 1: look sir, tonight today rather this evening. It's either gonna
- 31:32Speaker 1: be two thirs happening. Either you're gonna cut the five
- 31:35Speaker 1: limbs that I won't cut often the cut, cut the
- 31:37Speaker 1: whole damn or corn tree down. That's my tree in
- 31:40Speaker 1: any game. Nobody gone. I'm here right now. You're don't
- 31:45Speaker 1: hear in the yard right now. Come on, if you
- 31:47Speaker 1: over that right now, right now, I will bring my
- 31:50Speaker 1: right home back. You know what you get in the way,
- 31:54Speaker 1: got your No, I got it because it's the same.
- 31:57Speaker 1: It is one that dress left than my mama's. You're
- 32:00Speaker 1: gonna cut this damn tree down. Waiting on him anyway, Man,
- 32:03Speaker 1: I ain't use my preaking something in a long top
- 32:06Speaker 1: any way. I've been waiting on them like you. You
- 32:09Speaker 1: didn't love your damn mind. You live your pok. I
- 32:13Speaker 1: told you once and I told you twice. I'm old.
- 32:16Speaker 1: You're young. Don't do that. See that's what's right. Then
- 32:21Speaker 1: you know what you can do tell your mom to
- 32:23Speaker 1: make up a carn what you say by my mom?
- 32:26Speaker 1: Tell them to make a corn poe and come for me.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Tip tell my mama what make a corn pot with

- 35:52Speaker 1: it's important, don't. These guests are friends of mine. They
- 35:58Speaker 1: are family and friends of mine. They are used to
- 36:01Speaker 1: the way I yeah, sorry about that. What y'all ain't
- 36:05Speaker 1: gonna do on the internet and then think I'm gonna
- 36:10Speaker 1: be signed because I'm not. You're done? So now I
- 36:20Speaker 1: got alright, one's welcome to the Uncle Tom. Let's go.
- 36:27Speaker 1: We are at Disney. Come on, uh we got two
- 36:31Speaker 1: great friends of ours, you know. And this has been
- 36:34Speaker 1: over a decade. That sounds crazy. Ten years ago that
- 36:38Speaker 1: Walt Disney World and our partner to create the Disney
- 36:42Speaker 1: Dreamers Academy and we did it to celebrate. Uh. This year,
- 36:46Speaker 1: we're here to celebrate our special tenth anniversary. So in
- 36:50Speaker 1: honor that, we have the Ambassador of Disney Dreamers Academy
- 36:53Speaker 1: and the President of Essence Communication joining us. Essence is
- 36:57Speaker 1: our partner with Disney Dreamers Academy, and again this year
- 37:00Speaker 1: we've got great weekend playing for the Disney Dreamers class
- 37:03Speaker 1: in two thousand seven. Team, please welcome to the show,
- 37:05Speaker 1: our girls, Tracy Pyle and Michelle Ebank. Ladies, this is
- 37:13Speaker 1: pretty bad. Welcome to the show. Absolutely, thank you well.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Ten years ago, Disney Dreamers Academy was created and it
- 37:20Speaker 1: was designed to empower you to explore their dreams. Uh. Tracy,
- 37:25Speaker 1: as an ambassador of Disney Dreamers, tell us about Walt
- 37:29Speaker 1: Disney World's commitment to this program and why it's so important. Wow.
- 37:33Speaker 1: I mean, just as you said, Steve, this is ten
- 37:35Speaker 1: years and that's a huge milestone. And at Walt Disney World,
- 37:38Speaker 1: we love celebrating milestones. I mean, for our guests first
- 37:41Speaker 1: time visit, if you're here for an anniversary, if you're
- 37:44Speaker 1: here for a wedding, if you're here for a birthday,
- 37:46Speaker 1: we are always um, just excited about milestones, so this
- 37:50Speaker 1: program is no difference. So for us to be at
- 37:53Speaker 1: ten years, we are so excited to be able to
- 37:57Speaker 1: celebrate it. So we want to be able to just know,
- 38:01Speaker 1: want you everybody to know that whal Disney World is
- 38:03Speaker 1: so incredibly committed to this program. You know, ten years ago, Steve,
- 38:08Speaker 1: when we sat together and said, Okay, what is this
- 38:11Speaker 1: program and what can it be? We knew we had
- 38:13Speaker 1: a mission and we knew you had a passion, and
- 38:15Speaker 1: so we wanted to bring those two together. And now
- 38:18Speaker 1: fast forward ten years later, we have now one thousand
- 38:23Speaker 1: students which are dreamers that are going through the program
- 38:27Speaker 1: also and just you know, on that same no, ten
- 38:33Speaker 1: years as a milestone not only for Disney and for
- 38:35Speaker 1: the program, but it is a milestone for you, Steve.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I just want to take a moment just to say
- 38:41Speaker 1: our heartfelt thanks from a Disney company your commitment to this.
- 38:45Speaker 1: I mean, through these ten years, where you started and
- 38:47Speaker 1: where you are and all of the things that you
- 38:50Speaker 1: have going on, you have stayed committed to the program
- 38:53Speaker 1: and you have been so incredibly important to the success
- 38:56Speaker 1: of the program. So on behalf of Disney. I just
- 38:58Speaker 1: want to say thank you. It's great, thank you, thank
- 39:01Speaker 1: you so much. I remember when this is just an idea. Yeah, yeah,
- 39:07Speaker 1: that's crazy man. Hey. Now, Michelle the president of Essence,
- 39:11Speaker 1: why is Disney Dreamers Academy such an important partnership for
- 39:15Speaker 1: you guys and Essence, Well, it's extraordinarily important because it's
- 39:20Speaker 1: our young people. You know, we are judged I believe
- 39:23Speaker 1: in our society and as our adults by how we
- 39:27Speaker 1: give back and bring the next generation along. And at
- 39:30Speaker 1: Essence and Essence women for generations have understood that we
- 39:34Speaker 1: can't lead the education, particularly of our girls, to society
- 39:39Speaker 1: because society and media they will tell our young women
- 39:43Speaker 1: that they're not beautiful, that they're not smart, that they're
- 39:46Speaker 1: not valued. And we, particularly as black women, no, we
- 39:50Speaker 1: have to share in part the truth that's right, that's right,
- 39:54Speaker 1: that they can be anything that they want to be,
- 39:57Speaker 1: and they are beautiful no matter what they see in
- 39:59Speaker 1: the world. And Disney Dreamers Academy gives us the opportunity
- 40:03Speaker 1: to be here on the ground with these young women
- 40:07Speaker 1: that and just pour into them and give them our
- 40:11Speaker 1: joy and our belief that they should have a dream
- 40:16Speaker 1: and to be here with you all the passion. See
- 40:20Speaker 1: the passion that you've had for you, I mean, it
- 40:23Speaker 1: is your life's mission. And with Disney, this is the
- 40:27Speaker 1: place you come here and you're transported. So the power
- 40:35Speaker 1: of this partnership is something that is very important to
- 40:39Speaker 1: Essence and we're really honored to be here and to
- 40:42Speaker 1: celebrate ten years AWESO eight. Now, Tracy wasn't new for
- 40:46Speaker 1: this tenure anniversary. Well, as you know, Steve, every year,
- 40:50Speaker 1: as soon as the event is over, we start planning
- 40:52Speaker 1: for the next year and we start to look at, Okay,
- 40:54Speaker 1: what work, what didn't work, and we're continuing to mold
- 40:56Speaker 1: and shape. So this year is no different. But what
- 40:59Speaker 1: we wanted to do friend here in celebrating milestones is
- 41:02Speaker 1: to be able to celebrate the ten classes that have
- 41:07Speaker 1: come through the academy. So we have a representative from
- 41:10Speaker 1: each year, starting back from two thousand, from the very beginning,
- 41:14Speaker 1: and we have all ten adding here to be able
- 41:19Speaker 1: to integrate with the dreamers, to help them, to help
- 41:22Speaker 1: them through the process and really tell their stories. We
- 41:25Speaker 1: had a really great opportunity yesterday to be able to
- 41:27Speaker 1: showcase some of those dreamers and Steve, you did a
- 41:29Speaker 1: great job with that. But we were able to really
- 41:32Speaker 1: see what they're able to do, and they're pursuing their dreams.
- 41:35Speaker 1: They're going after their dreams. That's crazy going on. Hey, um,
- 41:42Speaker 1: listen up students and parents and find out more about
- 41:44Speaker 1: Disney Dreamers Academy. Go to Disney Dreamers Academy dot com. Um.
- 41:49Speaker 1: The one thing I would like to add at this
- 41:51Speaker 1: tinya anniversary, very very quickly, is I want to introduce
- 41:55Speaker 1: a deep dive program into the fine aut of cigars
- 42:00Speaker 1: and if we corporate that again. You're listening to Steve
- 42:05Speaker 1: Harvey Show. All right, we're live from Disney Dreamer's Academy,
- 42:12Speaker 1: the tenth anniversary, Well anniversary, we are here at Disney World. Yeah,
- 42:19Speaker 1: it's time for the parents to come instead. Yeah, they're coming.
- 42:23Speaker 1: They have breakfasting and I'll join join the show. Really
- 42:27Speaker 1: looking forward to that outside. Yeah, they're lined up, it's
- 42:31Speaker 1: time for them. They following that man with the little
- 42:33Speaker 1: orange cone. Yeah, they had a little cone where they
- 42:41Speaker 1: bring them in like a airplane. Yeah. I'm me personally,
- 42:45Speaker 1: I'm not following nobody with a stick in their hand,
- 42:50Speaker 1: with a vest on and a safari hat. I've just
- 42:54Speaker 1: never been that type of person. We know, yeah, I'm on.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I've always been a rebellious spirit, even as a child.
- 43:03Speaker 1: You know, I followed the rules, but I broke them.
- 43:07Speaker 1: You know, as soon as you wasn't looking. I was
- 43:09Speaker 1: just never you know what, I never could stand I
- 43:14Speaker 1: could not stand regular. I just needed regular my whole life.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I've never ever conformed to being regular. I just thought
- 43:23Speaker 1: that rules were created to keep the cattle in line.
- 43:28Speaker 1: And I wasn't gonna be like you ever been on
- 43:30Speaker 1: the freeway and it's time to exit, but it's rush
- 43:33Speaker 1: hour and you see people lined up for half of
- 43:36Speaker 1: my wait to get off that exit. You mean to
- 43:39Speaker 1: tell me you ain't gonna try to get up there
- 43:40Speaker 1: and cut nobody. You mean you ain't gonna get right
- 43:45Speaker 1: up there where that last one. You got to either
- 43:47Speaker 1: stay on the end of state to get up and
- 43:49Speaker 1: you're gonna try to put the nose in your car
- 43:51Speaker 1: in on nobody every song. I don't like how he
- 44:06Speaker 1: what your introduced me? Stephen from Disney World, Ladies and gentlemen.

- 45:24Speaker 1: I don't like your middle name treats color for treats
- 45:27Speaker 1: about now fair, Yes, that is there. We're gonna don't
- 45:30Speaker 1: have to say hello to my friend Lorenzo. But Andre Johns,

- 46:18Speaker 1: listening to Steve Hardy show. All right, we are We're
- 46:22Speaker 1: back back folks. Uh, the climate has changed. The parents
- 46:28Speaker 1: and guardians are now live at the ESPN studio. Yi.
- 46:37Speaker 1: They are very live, nice group this morning, very nice
- 46:42Speaker 1: looking people love their kids, want the best for their
- 46:46Speaker 1: children and there. But it's gonna be one though. Yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 1: it's gonna be one in this group. It always is,
- 46:54Speaker 1: It always is. I don't care how good a group
- 46:56Speaker 1: is to be that one person, ain't they baby is
- 47:01Speaker 1: better than all in having that. I don't care how
- 47:06Speaker 1: long of a speech I gil. It's that one parent
- 47:10Speaker 1: that just feels that their child is just that exceptional.
- 47:15Speaker 1: M I had a lady one time told me years ago, careful,
- 47:22Speaker 1: ain't hid you know Steve? My baby is so smart?
- 47:29Speaker 1: You know, when my baby was two years old, My
- 47:32Speaker 1: baby could work a remote control. Do you know when
- 47:35Speaker 1: I was a baby, I couldn't work a remote control.
- 47:37Speaker 1: We didn't have no damn remote control. Your baby ain't
- 47:43Speaker 1: doing nothing, ain't nobody else. Baby, just thought a little baby.
- 47:47Speaker 1: My baby is so bright. And then they started doing
- 47:51Speaker 1: the deep dives and found out that it was a
- 47:54Speaker 1: lot of bright kids down here. And then you all
- 47:58Speaker 1: of a sudden that found out that your how I
- 48:00Speaker 1: was damn this special? Before you go too far, speaking
- 48:06Speaker 1: the Disney Dreamers alumni here right now, we're going to
- 48:10Speaker 1: talk to them right after this. Oh yeah, we gotta
- 48:13Speaker 1: get right here. Yeah, all right, we're back everybody. We
- 48:20Speaker 1: got a Disney Dreamer with us today. She's an alumni
- 48:25Speaker 1: member of the two thousand twent on class, and uh,
- 48:28Speaker 1: she's been doing some great things in her life. That's years, yeah,
- 48:34Speaker 1: five years, and she's been doing some great things, and
- 48:36Speaker 1: she's joining us to highlight the benefits of the Dreamers Academy.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Please welcome home, miss Taylor Carter. Hey, Taylor, how you doing.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I'm well, I'm excited. Hey, what was your most memorable
- 48:52Speaker 1: moment from Disney Dreamers Academy other than meeting me? Other
- 48:56Speaker 1: than meeting you? That's right, um, crazy, I've had a
- 49:10Speaker 1: few memorable moments. Uh. In fact, I'm fortunate enough to
- 49:13Speaker 1: this is my fourth time at d d A, so
- 49:15Speaker 1: I'm really just humbled and honored and grateful to be here. Um.
- 49:20Speaker 1: But I think during out my entire price process, I
- 49:23Speaker 1: would say the speakers were my most memorable moment. Um.
- 49:26Speaker 1: You go into this having a dream, and you guys
- 49:29Speaker 1: teach us how to do it. Um. And we have
- 49:32Speaker 1: all of these questions and aspirations, and you guys are
- 49:35Speaker 1: giving us the tools in order to become successful and
- 49:37Speaker 1: answering our questions. So I just remember being extremely focused
- 49:40Speaker 1: my whole time here. I'm like, I'm gonna get this knowledge.
- 49:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna learn how to network, I'm gonna do this. Um.
- 49:46Speaker 1: And also just on the spot, I remember Jordan's Sparks
- 49:50Speaker 1: asked me to sing for her and I'm like, yeah, okay, fine,
- 49:54Speaker 1: and she was like no, no, no. You know I
- 49:56Speaker 1: know you have this because onceever someone asked you to sing,
- 49:59Speaker 1: you have to go for it. You're in a room
- 50:01Speaker 1: and you never know who's in the room. So I remember,
- 50:04Speaker 1: and in fact, Jordan's Sparks definitely remembered me over the years,
- 50:08Speaker 1: and uh I saw her later and she was like
- 50:10Speaker 1: that girl can singing compliment. So let's talk. So let's
- 50:14Speaker 1: talk about this. What So what are you doing now? Um?
- 50:17Speaker 1: Right now, I've been acting in the Chicagoland area and
- 50:21Speaker 1: going to auditions and having a talent agent and all
- 50:24Speaker 1: of those things. But right now, my biggest focus is
- 50:27Speaker 1: my album, which comes out this summer motion picture what
- 50:32Speaker 1: We're dropping out? I am, and I've been raising funds
- 50:37Speaker 1: for the album and my my city of Gary, Indiana,
- 50:40Speaker 1: my hometown has been very supportive. Um and my mayor
- 50:44Speaker 1: has been a vital part of that and just supporting
- 50:47Speaker 1: me and helping me find sponsors and being a sponsorship
- 50:50Speaker 1: to me. So I'm very grateful saying something for us,
- 50:58Speaker 1: Taylor as we go out. Okay, I got you, hear it?
- 51:03Speaker 1: You know me, He's special leader him. It will read
- 51:10Speaker 1: how you keep me? Oh my up? Excited? Bad, your
- 51:21Speaker 1: cron your hands, your smill, James, you you come. You're
- 51:34Speaker 1: listening to the Hard Morning Show. All right, we're here
- 51:43Speaker 1: live did me? Academy Dreamers Academy? Yes, Yes, we're here.
- 51:48Speaker 1: We're here. She didn't say that for y'all. She was
- 51:55Speaker 1: letting me. Know we live for I say something so
- 51:59Speaker 1: this tify. I've been in trouble every year down here,
- 52:02Speaker 1: I say something crazy when they had to meet men
- 52:07Speaker 1: one year. Yeah, last night I got in trouble. I
- 52:10Speaker 1: got in trouble one year with Mick hm out. You
- 52:16Speaker 1: would think you would learn. I mean, you know, when
- 52:19Speaker 1: he touched me, I flinched, you know, I and he
- 52:23Speaker 1: ain't got all his fingers, and it just threw me.
- 52:25Speaker 1: It just felt strange fers And they asked me, could
- 52:32Speaker 1: you please not react to Mickey? We're making these some
- 52:36Speaker 1: more damn fingers gonna build. All right, You're gonna put
- 52:40Speaker 1: your hand on my back. I need all fingers, fer
- 52:44Speaker 1: I know, something just jerky. Mickey tried to adapt me
- 52:48Speaker 1: one time and I wouldn't do it and they got
- 52:50Speaker 1: piste off that Stephen Mickey reaches out to high five. Ye,
- 52:54Speaker 1: it's really okay to high five. And Mickey needs some
- 52:57Speaker 1: both fingers coming up. We have a strawberry letter Steve
- 53:02Speaker 1: the subject because I'm gonna tell you true story when
- 53:04Speaker 1: I come back backstage what happened to me backstage? And
- 53:09Speaker 1: Bernie Matt with backstage in the dog at all the
- 53:14Speaker 1: United Center in Chico. That's a good story. Okay, I
- 53:21Speaker 1: do it off there, yes, Strawberry letter subject how can
- 53:25Speaker 1: I make my older man happy? And then right up
- 53:28Speaker 1: after that, right up next is the prayer phone call.
- 53:31Speaker 1: What you got now? You prayed for a job? Okay, Hello,
- 53:41Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a Carolin. Please hi Carolin. Listen.
- 53:46Speaker 1: My name is Lawrence. Lawrence, I actually go to the
- 53:49Speaker 1: same church you do. I saw you last Sunday where
- 53:52Speaker 1: you stood up in the church and I heard that
- 53:55Speaker 1: you were talking about you going through some bad times. Well,
- 53:59Speaker 1: you're job supposedly got rid of the department that you're in,
- 54:03Speaker 1: and you're now seeking a new type of work. Am
- 54:06Speaker 1: I right? Just just just work period, because you're looking
- 54:09Speaker 1: for a new occupation. And you I was there when
- 54:11Speaker 1: you asked everybody to pray for you. Um have you
- 54:14Speaker 1: have you found anything yet? I have an I've been
- 54:18Speaker 1: praying up. We prayed again today. I asked for the
- 54:21Speaker 1: churches prays again today and and un there are things
- 54:24Speaker 1: gonna work out, because you know he said you take
- 54:26Speaker 1: one step, you can't take two. That's right. I'm prepping
- 54:28Speaker 1: and I know it's going to happen. I know. Well, listen,
- 54:31Speaker 1: I think I may be able to be of some
- 54:33Speaker 1: help to you. I actually owned my own company, and
- 54:36Speaker 1: I'm thinking that you could be the perfect person for
- 54:39Speaker 1: a position that I have available. Now, what what type
- 54:41Speaker 1: of work were you doing in the past. Give me
- 54:44Speaker 1: some of your job qualifications. I'm executive secretary, administrative assistance.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Anything like that was mad? Uh even take the all
- 54:52Speaker 1: star shorthand I do at all. You just said what
- 54:55Speaker 1: you need and I can do it. Executives have come
- 54:58Speaker 1: through the office. Anything that's eat it, travel expenses, that's
- 55:03Speaker 1: what I do. What what type of hours are you
- 55:07Speaker 1: used to? Working? Nine five from Sometimes I'll come in
- 55:10Speaker 1: at Hey, I don't have a problem coming to day.
- 55:12Speaker 1: I'm coming even earlier if you made me be come
- 55:13Speaker 1: in earlier. Are you opposed to working at night? No,
- 55:16Speaker 1: I don't working at night. I mean it just it
- 55:19Speaker 1: just appends, you know not Burgers can't be choosing, I
- 55:22Speaker 1: asked him, and being given to me, Well, what kind
- 55:25Speaker 1: of looking at I have a I have an offer
- 55:29Speaker 1: for you that it would be Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
- 55:32Speaker 1: You will only be working three days a week for me. Okay,
- 55:35Speaker 1: just I was looking for separate female out of the
- 55:38Speaker 1: female days and he like full time family. Well, right right,
- 55:43Speaker 1: I understand, but listen, I think the actual amount will
- 55:47Speaker 1: suffice for that. Now, I'm gonna offer you seven hundred
- 55:50Speaker 1: and fifty dollars per night for three nights a week.
- 55:53Speaker 1: That's that's two thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars for
- 55:57Speaker 1: for for those three days, for one week, seven and
- 56:04Speaker 1: fifty dollars a night, and you're making a week now
- 56:11Speaker 1: and if you do the math on that, that that
- 56:14Speaker 1: adds up to about nine thousand dollars four months. I'm
- 56:19Speaker 1: so good to be true. But now I put rolling
- 56:21Speaker 1: with I've turned it. That's what we expected. I did it,
- 56:24Speaker 1: and turn one. Okay, the books, you know, because I
- 56:31Speaker 1: do have the accounting too. Well, let me say this,
- 56:34Speaker 1: and now the reason why I say it's at night
- 56:35Speaker 1: is because I own a nightclub and and you would
- 56:40Speaker 1: be working at the nightclub for me, and so you
- 56:42Speaker 1: will put in about four or five hours every night
- 56:45Speaker 1: and and for three nights a week like I stayed
- 56:47Speaker 1: at Thursday, Friday, Saturday. And and of course i'll pay
- 56:51Speaker 1: you seven hundred. I'll actually pay you your first two
- 56:54Speaker 1: weeks in advance. And I'm sure you you know you've
- 56:59Speaker 1: you've launched alan you need to get back on your
- 57:01Speaker 1: feet and everything. Yes, yes, okay, um, so so exactly
- 57:07Speaker 1: you know I'll be doing because I'm sure, like I said,
- 57:09Speaker 1: I can do office work. I'm good like accounting. You
- 57:12Speaker 1: tell me an I can keep your books going right? Well? No,
- 57:17Speaker 1: not necessarily. I don't need you to work the front door.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I'm actually gonna have you in the club working. Okay. So, um,
- 57:25Speaker 1: I mean how your how's your physical condition? Are you
- 57:27Speaker 1: able to get around and you don't get tired quick?
- 57:30Speaker 1: Do you know you in good physical shape? Ye? Don't
- 57:34Speaker 1: keep time quick at all. You need to do something
- 57:37Speaker 1: like be able to bard senders or something to work
- 57:39Speaker 1: to the board to make sure the money nobody's stealing
- 57:41Speaker 1: money from your something. No, no, no, you're not at
- 57:43Speaker 1: the bar either. See, because what I'm gonna do now,
- 57:46Speaker 1: have you ever done anything like, you know, anything close
- 57:48Speaker 1: to dance or anything like that. Have you done that
- 57:51Speaker 1: in the past when I was under uh? I mean
- 57:59Speaker 1: you know, ever do and okay, okay, well that's good.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Let's see. What what I wanted you to do is
- 58:07Speaker 1: I want you to do a little bit of dancing
- 58:09Speaker 1: in the club. You've had something like volume dancing or
- 58:13Speaker 1: something that you need to teach it. I don't want
- 58:15Speaker 1: to do the ballroom. I can't work with nobody on
- 58:17Speaker 1: this stuff like that. No, I'm not asking you to
- 58:20Speaker 1: do any uh ballroom dancing anything like that. What I
- 58:23Speaker 1: need you to do I want you to dance on
- 58:26Speaker 1: the pole on the post. See I have a strip club.
- 58:30Speaker 1: I want you to dance on the post part. Well,
- 58:36Speaker 1: actually I own um the silk Stocking, which is a
- 58:39Speaker 1: strip club. I'm not a strip stock. Look that he
- 58:44Speaker 1: don't want the body. But don't you want to make
- 59:00Speaker 1: this money? I got seven hundred fifty dollars a night
- 59:02Speaker 1: for you. I don't need some money. Tell you right now,
- 59:06Speaker 1: you know you can put that polar show at the bed.
- 59:10Speaker 1: You have no business calling me about no bus on
- 59:13Speaker 1: no part, and I believe church. I'm trying to get
- 59:16Speaker 1: you a job, babe. They told me that you was
- 59:17Speaker 1: in need of a job, so I'm just trying to
- 59:19Speaker 1: need that. I'm not a need job. I'm not needing jows.
- 59:22Speaker 1: I'm taking off my I'm growing some more wins. Want

- 1:02:09Speaker 1: year now, and although we have a pretty solid relationship,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: he still questions my loyalty and commitment. I'm he's fifty one,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: he's He says the age difference doesn't bother him, but
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: he only refers to me as his girlfriend to his friend,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: not his family. He says, I don't take the relationship
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: seriously and my joking nature has become too much for him.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: But that's just who I am. I try to find
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: fun and almost everything I do. At times, he makes
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: me feel like a child. And tells me that I'm
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: not mature enough to be with him. We've both cheated
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: on each other with other people closer to our own age.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: But I really love this man and I want to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: be with him. How do I show him I'm committed
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: to him? Or is our age difference too big to
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: make this work. I've given up so much to show
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: him that I love him, But no matter what I do,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: he still doubts my love and loyalty. I even I
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: even quit doing drugs. Hey, I knew you'd pust that
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: one because he said my drug use was too much
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: for him to handle. I don't know what else I
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: can do to prove my love to him. Please give
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: me your advice. Well, you know the saying goes age
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: is nothing but a number, but in this case, this
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: is definitely the exception to that rule. You guys have
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: nothing in common. You have nothing nothing in common. You
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: say he makes you feel like a child, Well guess what,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you are a child to him. He's twenty four years
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: older than you. I don't even understand how you guys
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: even got together in the first place. You didn't mention
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: that in the letter. Where were you? I mean, where
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: were you to meet. I don't know, but anyway, the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: one thing I'm really glad about is that you stop
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: doing drugs. That's a good thing. That's a good thing,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: really a good thing. Keep on that path. I think
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: you should also stop this relationship. Get out of it now,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: because it's going nowhere. It's going nowhere, and really you're
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: just on his nerves. You're on his nerves. You act
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: like a child. He's not into it like that. He
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: doesn't even introduce you as his girl to his family,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: so it's not like that. All right, Uh, let it go,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Steve Proud. Everybody good? Yeah? Good? How can I make
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: my older man happy? M hmm, Well, let's disgust this.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I'm twenty seven, he fifty. Wow. See if you'd have
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: had a thirty in your norbo yeah we we it would.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: He's different. Twenty seven, he fifty one, He says, the
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: age just difference. Don't bother him. No, I don't, cause
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: he damned it dead. But he only refers to me
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: as his girlfriend. That's cause you is a girl, your
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: twenty seven, This old ass man. No, he didn't hit
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Jackpotte with this twenty seven year old girl friend. He
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: says that I don't take the relationship seriously, and then
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: my joking nature has become too much for him. Well,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: there's a lot of stuff in this letter that validates
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: that you really don't take the relationship seriously. We'll get
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: into that in a minute. He says that. But this
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: is just who I am. I try to find fun
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: in almost everything I do. If you want life dead
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: serious for his he got peels on the nice stand
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: on his side. All this ha ha, he he held.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: He got high blood, high pertension, he got diabetes, he
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: got off the Riddick pains, and he broke. Donald Trump
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: near Finn to repeal Obamacare. He's gonna be damn near
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: and you over here laughing, how he he might. It's
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: not funny. It's not funny. You need to be down
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: here in Disney with these damn kids having fun. Oh man, crazy,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: he say, I'm outside again, He wondered people, Donald Trump said,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: voted the legal he voted three times, the last thing
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: he needed to repeal and waste Bamacare. Now you're down
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: here laughing find it fun in everything? Tells me that
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I'm not mature enough to be with him. Well, you
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: go the line that I love. Well, we've both cheated
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: on each other with people closer to our old age.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: That's the one I see that why you can't make
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: your man happy? But the fifty one year old dude
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: and went out and got a fifty year old woman.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: She ain't a doing things he liked you can do.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: She in there frying chicken just like he like. He's
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: chicken fry. That breaking is extra crispy on both damn sides.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: You down there having fun laughing, ha ha. The fifty
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: year old woman been in here handling business. She takes
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the same medicine he takes, but they sheep in your
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: her prescription. He used her appeals to both of them
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: using cell brecks to ease the swelling from me pains
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: because David ba that was up on the dresser together.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: And then we'll be back with you're listening Stry Morning Show.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: We're in the middle of the Strawberry Letter life in
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Disney Dreamers Academy at Disney World. On the subject is
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: how can I make my older man happy? And I
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: had at this. They were on the dresser when we left.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Remember that this decision was such a how can I
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: make my older man happy? Well, y'all like Sheirley said,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: y'all ain't got nothing in common, but y'all to mess
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: around and cheat it with people each other with the
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: same age. He didn't win and got a older woman.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: They was on the dresser. Their knees got swollen. But
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: here's what helped him out. They both you celebrate. You
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: went and got yourself a younger man. He knows just
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: as little as you. Y'all in the doing it a
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: lot and often. But ain't nobody doing a damn thing.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Y'all just in there, just aggravating because you're young and
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: you don't know, so that's what you have. So now
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: you said, but I really love this man and I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: want to be with him. This is right after you
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: just told me y'all each been with somebody else. You said,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: I love this man and I want to beat it
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: with him. How do I show him I'm committed to him?
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: And how did you decide to show him you committed
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: to him by sleeping with somebody else? This relationship is
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: a damned disaster. Is age difference too big for this
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: to work? I've given up so much to show him
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: my love him, but no matter what I do, he
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: still doubts my love and loyalty. I even quit doing
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: drugs because he said my drug used was too much
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: for him to happen with my favorite line. Obviously it
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: was fine with her. I don't see how me being
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: a junkie with affect relationship. The fact that I have
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: sold all our damn furniture crack, I don't see why
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: that should interfere with our relationship. The fact that I
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: have taken your peels off your knife stands and sold
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: them for myth and crack, Why does that affect our relationship?
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: How man I gave up drugs for him? Do you
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: know that the way I was with him was with
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: the drugs. I needed the drugs to stay with skin
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: wrinkle up and stuff. Know ha ha, I had to
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: be to watch him pull off his clothes trolls with
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: elastic missing, and I'm skinn I'll bring up one ninety one,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: but see for her though it's old seven. They can't
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: ride in the car. They're fighting about what radio station
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: he in here got Marvin Gay on, she got on,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: she got on Little Wayne shout. I want to get
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: your hand, I want to get your hand on com car.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Damn that don't don't dog caller don't. They don't talk
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: about nothing. When you get through. You want to be
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: able to fluff the pillow up on the head board
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: and have a conversation. Yeah, you want to have a
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: life from somebody. At the end of the day. They
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: on each other nerves. He on her nerves and she
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: on his nerves. He doesn't send her to that store
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: to get that prescription field several times, and what happens.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: She does, spent him money and bought back some weeks. Yes,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: this is gonna help you better. Every time she sent
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: him to the store, he gave her money for grocers.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Came back to the house with some men they send up.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Been here hungry as hell, smoking, getting hungry up by
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: the minute, in that boiling clothes and everything, trying to
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: eat clothes. It's just all wrong right here, man, I
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: guess we're gonna eat these been all right? Coming up
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: next Steve as Steve from Our Lives from our live audience. Yeah,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: there we go, We'll be back. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, she's been doing radio live. We're
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: live from Disney World at the tenth Annual Disney Dreamers Academy. Right,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: and the lights is all. This is Wow. The segment
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: we're gonna call asked Steve. We're taking calls life from
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: our audience. Here it's a parents of our Disney Dreamers
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: and what's your name? Stacy? Okay, stay, what's your question? Oh?
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I'm from My question is two part. First, what were
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: you like as a student in school? And what advice
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: do you have for students like you and their teachers?
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: You can't tell you must not have been that last night.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: I was there, but I want the audience. I mean,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: you know I wasn't a great student. You know, six
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: d kids in my class. I graduated six ninety. Don't
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: tell you. I say everything you need to know, and
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I don't know what the teachers needed to do. Hell
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: be more interested, ID Why is she trying to teach
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: me anything when obviously this is not even her sky
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: or set. She shouldn't even be in front of people
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: talking because I'm down. Give a damn bout no history
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: of what they got to do with now? I can't
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: never no date. I don't know what Christopher Glomus discovered
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: them and then I was an augumentative little kid. But
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I don't see how we keep saying he found American
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: as people was already there. That argument got near him.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I think that was my thing of school. Um. School
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: is very helpful. Children need an education, it's really really important.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: But it's that dream that's gonna get you where you
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: gotta get into. Yes it is. Now if your dream
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: requires an education, guess what you gotta get there? Education.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: You can't dream of building buildings and not be an architect.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: So now you got to go to school. But if
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: we focus on what the kids dreamed about more as
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: opposed to the education, it would propel them to get
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: the education. That's how I thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Step up there. Yeah alright, yes man? What's your name?
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: What's your questions? From Spring, North Carolina? My question when
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: my granddaughter Kle who's at the Dreams, leaves this fall
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: to go away to college. I read your book, Joan,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: and I want to know at seventy three, what can
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: I do? Well, you can't go to college with her, No,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: I don't want to go I want okay, And don't
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: move down to be close to the baby, because you're
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: gonna ruin her whole college, okay, okay, And so you
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: want to know at seventy three what you should do.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: I mean, first of all, you look absolutely beautiful. Absolutely,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: that's amazing. But you know what I mean, it's never
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: what what Let me tell you something now that she's
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: going off to college. If you could do if if
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: you stop thinking of failure, take failure out of take
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: money out of it, take reality away from you. If
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: you could do anything you want to do, what would
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: you do? Well? I wish I want to write a book? Okay,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I guess what. You should write a book. You don't
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: need one dollar to write a book. You don't need
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: any money to put the book out because you can
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: put it on the internet. So that's what you should do.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: You should do something that you're passionate about, that you're
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: gifted about. You should always pursue life. You should wake
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: up every day thinking of how to write this book.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Give yourself something to shoot for. It ain't too late,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: and you never know what can happen. It's sevent three
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: because I'm sixty, I'm gonna be sevent three. I'm gonna
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: be fly. Man'll be just like you do yourself. I'm
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: gonna have so much damn money. Please understand of money
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna have. And y'all can feel how you want
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: to feel about money. I do. I do not tell
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: people how to feel about money. But I've been homeless
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: for three years. I have had less than zero, and
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: now I'm fortunate. Let me explain something to you what
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: I have learned. Its way better to have money. It's
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: way better to have money and to not have none.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: What they're telling you about money? Money the root of
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: all evil. All is here, the love of money. But
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: you know, money make people do evil things to get
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: it and to keep it. I got that. But money
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: sitting there by myself, it's just too Ain't nothing evil
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: about it. Money can't buy you happy. Now, maybe it
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: can't buy you happy. But I'll tell you what. In
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: a park you're right in front of happy happy happy house.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Up your house, he is happy. Hello. I just wanted
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: to ask her, what was what was your book going
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: to be about? That's all your life, it was going
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: to be uh. In two thousand and I found out
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: that my husband had another family and children that were
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: saying my children, I would read that. Yeah, really, get
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: a book the other day. But see, I want to
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: keep it on a humor humorous level, because all through
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: everything that we lived through, I tried to keep my children,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: have four children upbeating not to hate their father, because
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: you know he did he did for them where he
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: didn't do the other. Is your your your life. Fancist.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: It was fancist about you. Fancist. Well, thank you. I
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: appreciate that. Let us know when the book comes out,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: we'll definitely support you. That's a great story. You a
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: strong woman. Yeah, he thank you. I'm beautiful. Thank you.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: I did not think that was gonna be what she's
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: I knew not to ask, y'all the one walked into that.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: What's your name? My name is Janelle Williams, and my
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: son is here as a dreamer. His name is will
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: And Williams and we're from Norfolk, Virginia. Hey North. That's
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: his name, William Williams. My mother of five. And one
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: of the things that I teach my children is to
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: give back to the community. UM. He wants to start
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: his own public speaking contest because he has found that
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: when he enters public speaking contests that there are not
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: a lot of minorities, So he wants to start a club. UM.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: One of the things that we want to do, because
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: I'm helping him as a mother, is to get the
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: children's suits. And he has found that when the children
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: come to the competitions and suits, they come with confidence.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: We want to know how can we go about getting
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: suits for the youth in our community? And my mother
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: always said, asked and you shall receive. Oh, let me
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: ask you a question. Yes, you're trying to get suits
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: for the community or suits for the for the club
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: people in the club. Um, he's gonna start off with
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: ten males. Yes, all right, I'll give them all suits.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Suits gonna be black as suits.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Ain't nobody getting no purple pants? Come? I want that
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: lavender suit. Is getting a black suit so you can
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: look like a debater. And in black suits is always
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: the first suit of a man should get because it
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: can go to funerals, weddings, job interviews, church and out
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: to dinner with your girl. Your black suit is mandatory
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: first suit you should always buy. After that, get a
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: gray suit, a navy blue suit, a tan suit, and
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: a brown suit, all solid, no pin stripes. If you
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: do that, you have fifty five different outfits you can wear.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: If you buy one white shirt, one blue shirt, and
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: one egg shell shirt, and your ass mixed all them
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: colors go together. The gray pants go with the blue jacket.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: The blue pants go with the brown jacket. You can

- 1:21:18Speaker 1: the question. How do you get wealth and maintained. I'm
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: gonna put this really quickly for you because I've already
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: been talking with the audiers. Your wealth is tied directly
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: to your gift. See, God gave you everything you needed
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: at birth. He did. He gave you a gift. All
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: of you are gifted at something. You just gotta quit
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: looking at gifts as running, jumping, singing, and dancing. Ah,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: that's not the only gift. Some people teach, some people share,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Some people care, some people draw, Some people orchestrate. Some
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: people are great networkers. Some people all your friends come
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: to you when they got a problem, even though you
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: got your own problem. They just come to you on
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: people counsel. Some people just know how to put people together. Girl,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: go over there and meet so and so. Okay, so cool,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: that's your gift. That's what you do. Your gift will
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: make room for you and put you in the presence
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: of great men. But if you ignore the gift in
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: exchange for pursuing your passion, you will miss out on
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: the wealth that God it hasn't able you to get
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: on your own. So stop looking at what everybody else
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: do and focus on what is it you could do.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: So here's what I was telling noise. Everybody does something
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: gift wise that can earn ten dollars. Once you can
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: make ten dollars, all you got to do is do
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: that ten times. Guess what you have a hundred dollars. Now,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: once you can make a hundred dollars with your gift.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I don't care what he is doing, cutting grass, cutting hair,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: doing eyebrows, baking pae, babysitting. I don't care what you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: do washing cars. I don't care what it is. Do
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: it ten more times and you have a thousand dollars.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: Now you take that thousand dollars and you multiply that
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: effort ten more times. This is where the faith without
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: works is dead. Conversation come in that you got to
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: be a grinder man. You can't afford to go to
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you can't if you sleep in eight hours a day,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: you're never going to be rich in this country. You
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: cannot be asleep eight hours a day because that's a
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: third of your life. It ain't be twenty four hours
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: in a day. Quit listening to these people talk about
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: you gotta have eight hours sleep. Eight hours sleep to
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: do what yass ain't growing no more? When you see
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: eight hours now, now you ask you growing this away?
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: You throw it this here. So now you make a
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: thousand dollars and you multiply that effort by telling you
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: gotta work hard. You're making ten thousand dollars. Suppose you
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: had an extra ten thousand dollars a month. WHOA, Now,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: listen to me. I'm just telling you how to grow
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: your wealth. But it starts with a ten dollar idea.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: What freezes because you all keep trying to come up
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: with the million dollar idea, and then when you can't
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: come up with the million, well, I guess I just
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: do what I'm doing now. You don't need a million
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: dollar idea. You need a ten dollar idea to turn
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: it into a million dollars, and all of you have
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: one in you right now. So once you make ten
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: thousand dollars, you're gonna have to go get yourself some help,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: gonna have to hire some people. But do the same
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: thing you've been doing ten more times. Guess what you
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: have now? A hundred thousand dollars. Once you get a
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars, I got some news for you. Now,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: if you multiply and maximize your effort by ten, just
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: ten months, whatever you did to make the ten dollars,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: If you keep maximizing that effort, you're gonna get to
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: the hundred thousand dollar market. Once you do that ten times,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: I got nude. Welcome to the club. You now have
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: million dollars. All get that how it's done. Listen to me, y'all,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Do not make it more difficult than that. Quick time
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: about what I'm a old and I didn't get no education.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Show me in the Bible where he mentions that. But
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: it does mention your gift, and it does mention your dreams.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: Stop tripping yourself out. Go use your god giving gift
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: and multiplied effort, and that's how you get wealth and
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: maintain it. If you think it's more difficult than that,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: go ahead and make it that way. Donald Trump build buildings.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: He just kept building them. And he just kept on building.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvey just told jokes. They was twenty now at
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: twenty five thousand, I do not leave my house. Sorry,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: what you don't need a house? Just talking about man
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: through jor into something junior talking about my jokes. You
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: don't even see man. But guess what I've been doing
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: this thirty two years? Yes it's thirty two years. But
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: if you just keep doing your gift over and over
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: and over and over and over and multiply your effort
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: over how it won't happen for you. My boy cut
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: grass for eight dollars. His lass came company now make
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: four million dollars. Keep been cutting grass since we was kids.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: But he don't do number cut grass. He got thirty
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: eight trucks he cut grass. The dude are that my
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: daughter used to work for elging out in l A.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: All he did was, oh he did was half. He
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: became a millionaire doing half. Do you know the dude
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: When I had had, you know the dude to cut
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: my hand. You know the first time he cut my hair,
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: I paid him twelve dollars to cut my hair. Do
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: you know him? When he started working on television? You
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: know they paid him fifteen hundred dollars per cut. That's
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: what he made. And he cut my hair six times
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: a week. Fifteen hundred dollars per hair cut. You know
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: what he do? You know what he got now? He
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: got Barba college colleges. Yeah, he got Barba colleges and
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: salons because he said, well, you can't cut your damn hen,
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: I gotta go do something else. But you know what,
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: he went right on back to cutting there. Now you
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: got Baba colleges and salons and Texas. We have another question, Steve.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: That's where it were. Yes, sir, how you doing good?
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: My name is Brian Knight. I'm from Lawrenceburg, Indiana. A right, right, right?
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: What was the first thing you thought right after you
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: saw the oscars? The best picture flow? I thought it
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: was the greatest day of my life. Yeah, yeah, when
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: one baby asked when I and then handed it to
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: that lady and she went and I saw them people
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: with their headsets coming out there. I was sitting back
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: smoking a cigar. Here we go. Won't he do it? Yeah?
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: All that old, all that old? How could he? He's ridiculous.
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen done. He's an idiot.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: That's that's never happened in the history of the pageant.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: Have that the Oscars either the Oscars away bigger? Oh
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: this is the baby. Yeah, the Oscars in this world?
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: To them, this is a baby. I was sitting there.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: But now let me tell you something. See there was
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: no internet in nineteen sixty four, but Sammy David gave
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: out the wrong award too. But your ass ain't hand
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: no internet. One baby, I called one. I said, hanging
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: that dog, call me one. I can get you through
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: this love that that was and I knew, you know
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: that they had been eating me up for a year,
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: memes and all that. You're so dumb. One dude told
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: me the Colombian reporter, how could you do this? This
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: has never happened before. Now this is right after the
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: thing at the press con. I said, well, hell, I
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: ain't never hosted the show, now, you know. I was trying.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: I went to the press conference myself because I'm man up.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: But the reporter from Colombia was so funky to me.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: I said, hey, man, I said, man, let me tell
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: you something. And so then somebody jumped in it. So
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: I was walking out the hallway. I want to ask
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: you something else. So now we ain't in front of nobody.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: Now see what you what you cannot do to Steve
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Harvey's you come up with me? I said that, man,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: if you don't get your punk ass out of my
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: face right now about this here, because I really don't
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: give a damn about you, I said, because your tone
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: me a difference about I want to know how you
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: could allow I said, Look, man, you're feel to find
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: out a whole lot of stuff about me, and one
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: of the things you're about to find out, but these
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: just clothes and suits outwear. The dude up under these
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: suits he different different. You're gonna that's get something done.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: Your ass out here. Next questions, I don't want to
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: know how you felt. Man, appreciate your being question. Thanks
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: for letting me get that out there. Dog. If you
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: want to hear yourself, yes you can if you want
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: to go ahead, sweetie. Good morning. My name is Phadr
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: Norris Johnson. I'm from Grand Rapids by way of Goport, Mississippi.
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Good morning. That's the history. Now go ahead. Um. My
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: question to you is Steve um Well, I need my scars.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: Um My scars helped me in time of encouragement to
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: realize where um, where God has brought me from and
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: my for you is in times of discouragement. What helps
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: you encourage yourself? Well, I'm gonna show you all something
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: because we got a camera. This is gonna be off
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: the air. I'm gonna show you exactly what I do. Uh.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: But it isn't that life gets easier. Is that you
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: just get you just get better at handling. The life
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: gets increasingly more difficult. The consequences are greater, the cost
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: is higher. You're just supposed to get better at it.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: But you gotta stop letting your adversity bury you. Two
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: things happen behind adversity always. That is a lesson and
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: there is a blessing. If you hanging there, you get
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: both of those. If you wallow into adversity, you don't
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: learn the lesson and you never get the blessing. So
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: you gotta keep pushing, keep get up, get up, just
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: get up. Say so what you know what I mean.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: I've been embarrassed globally before. I just had to get
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: up and keep going and gotta keep blessing you. I'm
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: gonna show you something off that you're listening to the
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, Disney World at the tenth Annual
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Disney Dreamer's Academy. That's it. That's it. This is a
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: great segment we're having right here. People in our audience
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: appearance of the kids, are asking your questions. This woman
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: was asking me a really great question about how you
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: stage encouraged because times of adversity. So we're having this talk.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: One of the things is my iPhone. I don't use
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: my iPhone for trivials. I am a bunch of games
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: and all this silly mess. I got two games on
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: that when I just my mind need arrest, I play
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: word War and Bubbles. That's it. The rest of this
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: phone games. Don't worry. So now here is what I
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: use my phone for. You see the picture at the
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: photo I come for, I go to my photo icon.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: I have catlogs. You know. I might take a picture
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: of me and my barrel out on a trip or
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: something like that. But at the bottom of it, in
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: the folder that is a motivational section. I tap it
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: and all comes up. It's motivational quotes because I need
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: them all day long because I'm faced with someone. So
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: everything on. Here is a screenshot of a motivational quote.
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: So I'm gonna try to get this on the one
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: with the arrows. This is what I'm gonna show you.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: This is what I learned after after the visit to
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: meet President Trump. This is the one that a minister
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: set me that was game changing for me. Can you
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: describe it on the air to Steve for people that
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: are listening here, and then describe it y'all see it? Yeah,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: to describe it, they can. I'm a wolf. I'm a wolf. Huh.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: You see all them arrows in my back. But then
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: the caption says, life does not get easier, you just
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: get stronger. Now that's the old me laying on the ground.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: It used to take one arrow and you could bring
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: me down. But the wolf that I am now you
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: can line my backup with arrows. My head is bloody,
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: but Unbi, you can shoot them arrows in my back
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: all you want. I'm the big wolf now that used
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: to be me one shot you could take me down.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: You can't take me down no more because in life
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: I become stronger. So the arrow that used to drop
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: me and sink me can't do nothing to me no more.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: You can line them arrows up in my back. When
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: you get through calling me all them names and stuff,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: it ain't what they call you, that's what you answer to.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: I'm way too strong. When you get through calling me
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: Tom's and all like that, you don't even know me.
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: You don't even know me. You you you better, you
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: better keep that on your type, right because if you
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: see me in my face. Now, look, I can't whip everybody,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: but I'll fight anybody always, and I'll take a lot
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: of whippings. But I'm a man though, I'm a real man,
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: and my pages feeled with nothing but motivational stuff like, um,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: I could show you, man, so many things, and that's
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: what I do. It's like Bishop James, here's one that's
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: that's something I keep that I got from Bishop James.
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: And what this says right here is when favor is
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: on your life, no matter what you are thrown into,
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: you always rise to the top. Now you get you
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: get favor on your life when you just ask for
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: you got to claim faith. But if you're gonna sit
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: up and go man, seemed like everything always going wrong, Okay,
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: then it is. But when you say, you know what,
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: I live under God's favor, I know he'll take care
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: of me. So when bad stuff happened to you and
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: people write you off, look the pageant, the president, the
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: the the the misunderstood jokes. I've been in the media, man,
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: and they'd be lacing me. But when they get through,
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: look at my life. See when you got favored. No
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: matter what you go through, you keep rising to the top.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: God will keep blessing you no matter what they say
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: through it all, what you're worried about them for So
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: I could show you all just motivational quote scriptures, motivational
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: quotes and stuff all through my your that's all it's for.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: What does this one say? If you don't go after
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: what you want, you'll never have it if you don't ask.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: The answer is always know. If you don't step forward,
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: you'll always be in the same place. And I just
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: I just go through it, man, I just go through
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: it all the time. I find something. I got twelve
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: things that successful people do differently. That's an I'm already successful,
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: but don't you know that I have to remind myself
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: because I have to be encouraged. Yeah, and you know
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: that I got one to say. Sometimes I forget I'm
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: a giant. But if you will never claim yourself to
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: be a giant. You just a little man. Keep getting
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: stepped on. Come on, but it at you. Well, you're
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: sitting on the Sorry. I can't help that question from
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: Tampa by way of Chicago. See if I beat yeah,
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: oh yeah, okay. My question is as a sole provider
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: with God. So my dreamer, Um, how do I support
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: and encourage his dream which seems to get wider without
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: losing bigger? And I say that he's definitely a maniger
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: a color. That's what he thought, you said, not wider? Well,
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: you know, first of all by example. See the reason
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: that we started this program at Disney and to include
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: the parents is because when you go home, there should
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: be some form of following through. Now I don't get
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: to talk to the parents alone because I use my guy,
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: Steve Perry, because he's excellent, because he's been in the
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: education field his whole life, and he has the Eagle
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: Academy where he graduates one hundred percent of all the
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: boys at his school and one hundred percent of every
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: boy that has ever come through the door, thousands of boys,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: every last one of them to win to college. Now,
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: who got that track record? Fantastic? And he's just a
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: man's man that he can help you with your sons.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: But what what what I try to do is tell
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: parents to be an example. So when you go home,
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: you're gonna learn some stuff here that can help fortify
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: what you talk to your kids. But my greatest suggestion
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: to parents about how to support your kids is to
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: support their dream. Now as it widens, it's okay. It
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: will get narrowed down discussed with your children. They guilt.
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: The sooner you discover your gift, you can get about it.
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: You can get after. Don't force your children into a
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: degree that ain't got nothing to do with their guilt,
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: because they're gonna be miserable. I sent a child of
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: mine to college more than hell, all of them ain't
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: now one of them now, one of them working in now,
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: one of them damn degrees I paid for. You know
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: what one of my daughters did. She got out of school,
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: and guess what she decided. She went She won't go
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: to fidel uh school of half she would she would
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: out castro Hell we will. She's doing all Cuban halstys. Now,
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: if you want to sit down in the salon chair
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: and get up and be cuban, don't see my daughter
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: from the Fidale Castro School of Hell. You're listening. She's
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show her live from Disney World
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: at the tenth annual Disney Dreamers Academy. And we got
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: the parents, grandparents, guardians of some fabulous kids on it.
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: Really nice group of parents, man, really really involved in
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: their kid's life. Is good to see. So that's good.
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: We're doing questions to ask Steve's live. Yes, man, what's
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: your name? Come on morning? My name is LARAA. Hamilton's
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: from Neptun, New Jersey. Yeah, all right, let's take the
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: next question. Hi, what's your name? Do? Good morning? I'm
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: the real Hamilton's from Neptune, New Jersey. I have a
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: seventeen year old son, Jelil. As a single parent, it's
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: a constant battle handling the transition from a boy to
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: I doubt her. So my question is my son tends
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: to be doubtful. I'm sure tend to second guest himself.
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: Any suggestions. Oh, first of all, I'm gonna have your
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: boy this year my memory camp. Than okay, so just
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: do that right there. I fix his ass at the camp. Yeah,
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: I can't do like I do at the camp down
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: here at Disney. We have a more hands on approach
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: at the ranch. And that's all you need to say.
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: A bit more Uh, that's called it more activity. Yeah,
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: but we worked with boys from single parent homes. Has
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: been doing that for years. So we'll take your boy
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: to camp. But um, it's it's very difficult for single
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: mothers to raise boys because she's exactly right, it's a
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: daunting challenge because you're not a man. Single mothers do
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: an excellent job, so especially with these boys. But here's
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: what you do. You can turn him into a great student.
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: You can make him courteous, you can make him god fearing,
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: you can make him law body, you can make him polite,
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: you can make him hard working, and you can make
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: him a very diligent young man. What you cannot do
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: is make him a man. And that is the one
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: thing that he's searching for. These young boys want to
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: be men, and if they don't have the right male
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: male role mom, they're gonna be the closest man to
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: them because they think that's what it is. So it's
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: very important that for single mothers to get a male
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: role model in his life. It could be a relative,
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: it could be somebody down at the church. It could
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: be somebody at the school, but a young man has
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: to have a male presence to talk to. I meet
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: so many boys that come to my camp that live
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: with their grandmama and their mom, and they aren't man.
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: But we got one week though. See, you can change
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: your boy's direction in a week. You really can't. It's
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: a mindset that you have to teach them. And you've
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: got to get a boy to understand what man who
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: really is and it takes a man to do that.
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: I dated a girl a long time ago ahead a
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: little boy and as little boy go to bathroom sitting
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: down because that's that's what his mama sat down. Then
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: a little boy get through. He would get two pieces
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: of tarlet tissue and tap himself. He said, boy, we
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: shake around. Man, come in there and stop me share.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: I took that point to the bathroom. It was a
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: three on for him to put something in there and
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: shoot at it moving around in the walls. Yeah, this
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: is a game. Now when you get through, you ain't.
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: You can't. But why are you shake? Yeah, that's why
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: mothers y'all can't understand. Why is that pete on the
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: shower curtains. Why is it on the back of the tarlet?
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: Why is it on the mirror shape? And here he
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: lit on him. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright,
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: thirty four minutes after that, I welcome back to the ride.
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: Let's get to me back to back jail. Come okay,
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: we come back, just time for one more thing. We'll
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: tell you about it that after the break at forty eight,
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: after the hours, So won't go away. You're listening Steve
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. How to talk. You're weeding skill set
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: too low, man, we're back still. I'm gonna get a job.
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: Who I ain't got to read? What job? She told me?
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: She said? And what job? Is that missing? The one
- 1:45:11Speaker 1: thing she was right about that though there here's no job.
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: You got to be able to read. Break. This is
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: our last break, man, It's been great all morning. This
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: is actually all. This is actually my session with cop
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: for you, right. You know we've been in there having
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: some deep conversations. But I was supposed to be telling
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: them jokes and stuff. Then out of messund and got
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: myself caught up crying. I was not crying. I was
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: not crying. I was fitting too. That's pretty. I was
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: fitting too. It was it was man, he did nobody
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: like you. I don't nobody like your heir. And you
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: shut up, junior, I don't nobody as well. You'll never know.
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: You'll never know. That's enough trying to fight. They had said,
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: and they had said, that's what you know. And I
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: I shouldn't even have signed no new deal. I should
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: have just left y'all aside. I got plenty jobs. I
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: don't need to do later. I got jobs. I don't
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: stuck around causing y'all. I knew y'all wouldn't have nothing,
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: you know, I just said, Well, I guess he threw us.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: I guess how I resigned. You ain't gonna make it
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: without the truth. They really need me what you said
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: you but he don't even know what he's saying. How
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: close to the truth he is. Somebody had already told me,
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: if Steve haven't died of marrow, you ain't got a career.
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: I go ahead on, I do it for double right.
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: Let me just say I didn't get what I wanted
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: to tell me. Oh inside, this is real. Inside where
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: we start, that's where we started fighting. I've tried to
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: teach my nephew about negotiating. Here's what you have to understand.
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: But he negotiated with you. Whenever you sign it, I
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: need you. I'm not going to teach him how to
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: beat me. Think I'm crazy. Here's a deal A guy
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: taught me a long time. Gonna go a good deal
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: is when everybody signs, it hurts a little bit. Yeah,
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: you didn't get everything you wanted to get, and they
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: gave a little bit more than they wanted to give.
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: Sign that deal. You cannot sign a deal that gives
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: you everything you want. It doesn't work that way. That's
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: not life. So if you're going in you ask for
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: a raise and they don't give you the raise you
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: ask for, but they're willing to give you somewhat of
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: a raise. Now you can do the ignorant thing and
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: say I quit. Now you ain't sitting at the house
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: with zero. You could take that raise and flip it.
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: Here's what I suggest to people right here. If you
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: have other dreams, like a business or something like that
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: outside of your job, have your job, finance your dreams.
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: Take the money that you make it work and put
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: a little bit and invested towards your dream needs. Well, Steve,
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: I'm checked the check. Listen to me, stop paying two bills.
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: Pick two bills and quit paying what I'm telling you
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: how rich people do y'all, y'all see y'all y'all sitting
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: up in here with this poll mentality? What and then
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: ruined my credit cable? Listen to me. Listen to me.
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: There we go. You your credit limit. If you live
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: check the check is extended to the max. Anyway, you
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: can't get no more so now what you're wearing about it?
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: For see, if you got money, you don't need credit.
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: You keep hanging on to the wrong thing. Your credit score.
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: They were damn running them commercials on TV all to day.
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: Check your credit check, your credit goes. You'll never rich
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: people talking about that. Rich people don't give a damn
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: by the credit score, and neither do the people. Once
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: you have money, that's true, stop paying two of your
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: bills and take that money and invest it in yourself.
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: And I suggest if you have a Seals account, you
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: can start with Seals because they ass is gonna close anyway.
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: He didn't meet its seals and came on. They asked
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: going away. You can quit paying them right now, Okay, okay,
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: I know who to stop paying. Oh man, So how's
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: your credit? Steve? My credit crazy? What's your score? I
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: don't know. I think it's like to who so it's perfect.
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: I don't know what. I never had no credit, you know.
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: When I go somewhere to get something, Mrs Harmon, feel
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: I just credit application. No, No, I have an the
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: count I handle my p N A statement. Now you
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: read that right there? Now, I want that one right
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: there in silver. I want that one right there. I
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: don't even stay in the room this that is right there.
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: I want that one in silver. And I want that one.
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: Can you? I want it into tone because guess what,
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: And go get yourself some Moneybody give a damn about
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: your credits. Go the WHO, dude. And when I see
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: y'all want to see Donald Trump's uh tax terms, You're
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: credits go. He don't care. He can't. He can't let
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: you see this PM. You can't see this here because
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: you ain't gonna believe it. You ain't gonna believe it.
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: That's what money do. Shut all that out. So when
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: you go to the dealership, you don't even be in
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: that loan what does the phone? I'll be there all
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: day it's a thirty am. Yet you've been sitting in
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: the get running these numbers past me. We didn't go, oh,
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: I want to be like you. And then that's the trying.
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: You're going there and then okay, okay, let's say you
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: get the car. It used to be like this. For
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: every thousand dollars down, you would douce your car note
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: about thirty five dollars. Here's the problem. It takes way
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: longer to come up with the thousand than to do
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: the thirty five. See y'all in here trying to come
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: up with these huge down payments so your note can
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: be down here, But now you got to give up
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: all your savings to get the note down. Here, go
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: and buy a car with the minimum amount of down payment.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: You can get that thing. Get that get the minimum
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: down payment. If you put five hundred dollar put down,
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: I don't put four thousand. Get my get that note
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: reduced from five hundred to foe on the quarter. What
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: give up three thousand dollars? You will give up three
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: thousand dollars. You can pay seventy five less. Do you
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: know it's easy to come up with that extra seventy five.
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: Then that three thousand rich people sit around and talk
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: about this mess all day, going there asking for nothing. Man,
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: he goes there go my sheet, and then I won't
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: forward him, and you know what, they're gonna gonna get
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: him how much last year? I don't know, man, I
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: don't you know. I'm not releasing my I'm not gonna
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: right there, You're not gonna release because gona we're going
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: Maybe not we, but this one over here with the
- 1:53:40Speaker 1: blue shirt on, he's gonna throw off. He gonna. But
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: listen to me, y'all. You have this life in front
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: of you, you really, really do. The one thing I've
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: always been is very motivating. Every book I've ever written
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: is to help somebody. The new book I got out,
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: Jump is an incredible book because it ordered to be successful.
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: Everybody has to jump. You cannot sit there safely on
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: the cliff for life and not take a chance. What's that?
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: I don't know. I was trying to put it on.
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: Shirley got money, man, she only been doing radio? How
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: many years? Shelly? A couple of years? Shurey got plenty
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: of money. That's what killed me about them. They always
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: try to play like I'm the only one sitting up
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: in here you are. Well, I'm talking about thank you
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: for saving us though or any turn. Yeah, because we
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: were just doomed. Well I know, Shu Junior. Thank you
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: guys so much. We appreciate you, We love you. Thank
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: you to the beautiful staff. Give Me Dreamers. For all
