- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like amazing bus things and it's not through
- 0:20Speaker 1: good Steve Hartley, I don't join jo. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn. You got to turn to turn them out. Turn,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out. Then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water come come on your back. Ah ha, I said, Oh,
- 2:03Speaker 1: I show will, Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:08Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got the radio show. I feel it's necessary to explain
- 2:14Speaker 1: what I say in the morning because somebody asked me,
- 2:17Speaker 1: what do you mean by that when you say that
- 2:19Speaker 1: in the morning. When I say huh, it's in response
- 2:24Speaker 1: to David Hollister opening the song by saying, go ahead,
- 2:28Speaker 1: big Daddy, go ahead, I said, uh huh. I show will.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Then I say good morning everybody. Because I was raised
- 2:35Speaker 1: at Ray, You're supposed to speak when you come in
- 2:37Speaker 1: the room. I'm coming in y'all's room, whether it's your
- 2:41Speaker 1: bad room, the room in your house, your car, your office,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, wherever you had I come in the room
- 2:47Speaker 1: or God speaks, I say good morning, everybody, you are
- 2:51Speaker 1: listening to the voice. And then I got to introduce
- 2:53Speaker 1: myself because as a performer, I always felt my best
- 2:58Speaker 1: when I was introduced. It's only why would you walk
- 3:01Speaker 1: out on stage anybody introduce you? You know you can't
- 3:03Speaker 1: get the round of applause. It's just it's horrible. So
- 3:06Speaker 1: I say, you are listening to the voice want and
- 3:09Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now that's
- 3:13Speaker 1: old school. I got that, but that's I was once again,
- 3:17Speaker 1: dig me now? Is I want you to feel what
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm about to say. That's all I'm saying. That's not
- 3:24Speaker 1: a bragging thing. You know, you are listening to the
- 3:27Speaker 1: voice want and only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm just asking you to feel what I'm saying in
- 3:33Speaker 1: the morning because it's part of a promise that I
- 3:35Speaker 1: made to God. See a long time ago, I told
- 3:39Speaker 1: God if he allowed me to make it, that when
- 3:42Speaker 1: I got there, I would tell everybody I know how
- 3:45Speaker 1: I did it, and I wasn't gonna shortcut it or
- 3:48Speaker 1: shade him on it. I say, if you allow me
- 3:51Speaker 1: to make it, if you give me the strength, the courage,
- 3:55Speaker 1: the wisdom you gave me a gift if you let
- 3:58Speaker 1: me apply it, don't destroy myself in the process. Forgive
- 4:02Speaker 1: me for my sins along the way, continue to hold
- 4:06Speaker 1: and rock me when I need it. When I make it,
- 4:10Speaker 1: I promise you Lord, when I get there, I will
- 4:13Speaker 1: tell everybody how I made it. Well. This started back
- 4:18Speaker 1: in LA when I got on the radio and I
- 4:23Speaker 1: was making it okay. I was doing okay, but I
- 4:27Speaker 1: had to keep my promise to God. My promise was,
- 4:30Speaker 1: if you allow me to make it, I'll tell everybody
- 4:33Speaker 1: how I got there. I have to tell you that
- 4:38Speaker 1: every day because if it was not for that grace
- 4:41Speaker 1: and mercy, I wouldn't even be here able to fulfill
- 4:44Speaker 1: my promise, because I've done enough dirt in my life.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Man to not be worthy. He could have easily walked
- 4:51Speaker 1: away from me a long time ago, because I had
- 4:55Speaker 1: show walked away from him. See, and I didn't walk
- 4:58Speaker 1: away from him once. I walked away from him a
- 5:01Speaker 1: bunch of times. But guess what he forgave me a
- 5:06Speaker 1: bunch of times. I'm a living example of hundreds of chances.
- 5:13Speaker 1: His forgiveness and his mercy is available for everybody. It's
- 5:18Speaker 1: the only reason I get on this show every day.
- 5:20Speaker 1: The only reason I have the blessings that's coming my way.
- 5:23Speaker 1: It's the only way that the things that keep happening
- 5:26Speaker 1: in my life, Man, that I have no explanation for,
- 5:31Speaker 1: it is because of His grace and mercy. See, anytime
- 5:35Speaker 1: something good happens in my life and I can't explain it,
- 5:38Speaker 1: that's usually him, he exhibits to me. Remember, I'm a
- 5:43Speaker 1: forgiving god. Man. Remember, So when you fall, Steve, don't
- 5:47Speaker 1: lay down now, don't you lay down there. Don't you
- 5:50Speaker 1: let the devil fool you that because you'd have made
- 5:53Speaker 1: some mistakes that you ain't that you can't do it
- 5:56Speaker 1: because everybody gonna make them. There's none perfect known once.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So get up, keep moving, keep pushing, step on what
- 6:05Speaker 1: you're laying there for. Your daddy didn't raise you that way. Look, man,
- 6:10Speaker 1: my father was just about manhood. I'm gonna just tell you.
- 6:13Speaker 1: My daddy never had a conversation with me about church.
- 6:16Speaker 1: He beat me for not going, but you know a
- 6:19Speaker 1: couple of times, but he wasn't about that wasn't his message.
- 6:23Speaker 1: That was my mama's job. My mama taught me about
- 6:26Speaker 1: being saved, about loving the Lord, about giving your life,
- 6:29Speaker 1: about the teachings of Jesus Christ. My mama was a
- 6:32Speaker 1: Sunday school teacher, so I got all of that from her.
- 6:35Speaker 1: My old man ain't had none of that for me.
- 6:37Speaker 1: My old man talked to me about one thing all
- 6:40Speaker 1: day long, hard working manhood. And when you're gonna get
- 6:43Speaker 1: that if you don't get anyhing else from me, he
- 6:45Speaker 1: gave that to me, so I got it. See, so,
- 6:49Speaker 1: my father, you say, excuse my language, but you ain't
- 6:51Speaker 1: gonna sit there like no little punk up in here.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You ain't an what you're finn to do. You fin
- 6:55Speaker 1: to get up and go do what you're posted to do. Now,
- 6:57Speaker 1: stop all that wine and like some little punking gonna
- 7:00Speaker 1: the movie. That's how my father talked to me. Now,
- 7:01Speaker 1: I'm just telling you real. It worked for me, though,
- 7:04Speaker 1: And before you start emailing me, they had nothing to
- 7:07Speaker 1: do with homosexuality at all. It's just that was his
- 7:11Speaker 1: turn for a man not acting like a man. That's
- 7:14Speaker 1: all it was. It had. It was not a gay
- 7:16Speaker 1: reference at all. I want you to understand that before
- 7:18Speaker 1: you start emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling that
- 7:21Speaker 1: was not a sexual reference for him. My father talked
- 7:24Speaker 1: to us that's what he meant. I knew exactly what
- 7:26Speaker 1: it meant. He couldn't admit that he didn't even know
- 7:28Speaker 1: nothing about that. My man clueless when it comes to that,
- 7:30Speaker 1: right there. So when I was getting down and feeling
- 7:35Speaker 1: bad about myself, my old man, he taught me this toughness. Man,
- 7:39Speaker 1: he gave me this grit, this doggedness, this go to
- 7:42Speaker 1: work and work hard. That's why today, when God does
- 7:45Speaker 1: bless me with something, he ain't got to wear about
- 7:48Speaker 1: me not working hard because that's in me. And when
- 7:53Speaker 1: I get tired, I asked that same God for strength
- 7:56Speaker 1: to keep on doing so I can do the blessings
- 7:59Speaker 1: he got for me. So when you ask me how
- 8:02Speaker 1: you gonna do all this, Steve Harvey, I don't know.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I ain't got to figure that out. All I got
- 8:08Speaker 1: to do is show up with the same amount of
- 8:10Speaker 1: faith for being showing up with God handle the rest
- 8:12Speaker 1: of it. See y'all, Hey man, let me tell youself.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I don't see how you do it. I don't either,
- 8:18Speaker 1: can I can? I get hey man, news flash, let
- 8:21Speaker 1: me hear. I don't see how you're doing all that, Steve.
- 8:23Speaker 1: You're doing this? You doing that? You can I tell
- 8:26Speaker 1: you something. I don't either. I just wake up with
- 8:28Speaker 1: the faith man and trusting that if He gonna bless
- 8:31Speaker 1: me with it, he must be gonna show me a
- 8:33Speaker 1: way how to get it done. See I ain't tripping
- 8:35Speaker 1: on that part. See I. Once you take yourself out
- 8:39Speaker 1: to how to business, you can go on and get
- 8:41Speaker 1: with it. But see if you're gonna trip yourself out
- 8:44Speaker 1: with the how to, you can't think like God can think.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You can't figure like God can figure. So now you're
- 8:49Speaker 1: sitting up in here, gon Lord, I want this to
- 8:51Speaker 1: have him for me? Then I don't know how I'm
- 8:54Speaker 1: or do all that. Well, guess what? You in the way? Now?
- 8:57Speaker 1: See you? Now you in the way because see God
- 9:00Speaker 1: ain't ask you to figure out how to? He said,
- 9:03Speaker 1: ask and believe. Then he said faith without works is dead.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That's my solution. That's the concoction that I'm functioning on.
- 9:14Speaker 1: All I got to do is accept the blessing, keep
- 9:17Speaker 1: the faith, be willing to work and believe God can
- 9:21Speaker 1: do anything but fail. Why would God bring me this
- 9:26Speaker 1: far to leave me? Why would he bring you this
- 9:30Speaker 1: far to leave you? So why I get up every morning?
- 9:36Speaker 1: I have no choice? I got to get up in
- 9:39Speaker 1: here the rap. When I'm running late, man, I try
- 9:41Speaker 1: to ply through here. Sometimes I don't make it. Man,
- 9:43Speaker 1: I gotta do a rerun. But I ply through here
- 9:45Speaker 1: because man, Steve, you're gonna run out of something to say. No,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna just keep thanking him. Now. You can't run
- 9:50Speaker 1: out of that, can you, because you owe him that.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Matter of fact, when I get through talking, I really
- 9:55Speaker 1: ain't thanked him enough. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen walking
- 10:03Speaker 1: to the ride. This is the greatest morning shown planet
- 10:06Speaker 1: Earth in all of the free will. This is a
- 10:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Now, because of the actions of
- 10:13Speaker 1: the rioters and terrorists, we haven't had a chance to
- 10:18Speaker 1: properly thank the following people. So let me begin by
- 10:23Speaker 1: doing this. Excuse me for a moment, my team of wonderful,
- 10:27Speaker 1: wonderful cast members. But I wanted to say today a
- 10:32Speaker 1: special thank you to all of you in the state
- 10:36Speaker 1: of Georgia that showed up in numbers, that showed up
- 10:42Speaker 1: and defied the odds and turned an election around for
- 10:47Speaker 1: the betterment of this country and an opportunity to right
- 10:52Speaker 1: the ship that has gone a strait. Congratulations to the
- 10:57Speaker 1: brothers and sisters who registered and voted. For everybody who
- 11:02Speaker 1: voted down there in the state of Georgia for just
- 11:05Speaker 1: a better opportunity. Congratulations to new Senator Raphael Warnock and
- 11:12Speaker 1: new Senator John Alsoft. Congratulations. I would like to thank
- 11:16Speaker 1: Kelly Leffler for being at least gracious in it. David
- 11:20Speaker 1: Purdue not so much. He's hurt. He's going hunting and
- 11:25Speaker 1: he's thinking about doing something. Yeah, you know, that's what
- 11:29Speaker 1: they do a lot of time, think about. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 1: but that's so Congratulations to one on seven point five
- 11:41Speaker 1: ninety seventy five down in Atlanta, Georgia showing up like that,
- 11:45Speaker 1: normous y'all. I also want to thank my fraternity brothers
- 11:48Speaker 1: Ricky Smiley and Deal Hugley for for hopping in and
- 11:52Speaker 1: living in a hand. Also, we collaborated on this man,
- 11:55Speaker 1: which shows what when we get together make a decision,
- 11:58Speaker 1: we can make a difference. So now if everybody that
- 12:00Speaker 1: didn't think black lives matter, I bet you think they
- 12:03Speaker 1: matter now. Black lives matter because black lives are now voting,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and black lives are now requiring a different look at US.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Voter suppression will no longer work because we will no
- 12:14Speaker 1: longer be suppressed. I'll vote matters. It makes a difference
- 12:18Speaker 1: and it changes things, and we just proved it. And
- 12:21Speaker 1: congratulations to all of you who decided to make a change,
- 12:24Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. Shirley Strawberry, I echo those sentiments. Steve Harvey,
- 12:29Speaker 1: good morning, Happy Friday, the fabulous one caller, Pharrell, good morning,
- 12:35Speaker 1: what's up crew? Happy? That ever present voice of reason,
- 12:41Speaker 1: Junior Kills spates morning everybody, morning, Thank you ga. Now,
- 12:46Speaker 1: nephew time he's here. But he's got some technical different culties.
- 12:50Speaker 1: But he is here. But you know how technical can
- 12:53Speaker 1: be in Lord Jesus, do I know? So it is
- 12:57Speaker 1: he's experiencing some technical difficulty. He'll be with him shortly,
- 13:01Speaker 1: but Lord, have mercy. It happens everyone. Sometimes technology is
- 13:07Speaker 1: too damn technical. It's wonderful when it works, but when
- 13:12Speaker 1: it doesn't. Did y'all see that's sorry? President? Yes, yes,
- 13:20Speaker 1: hit that way too late as speech last night, I'm
- 13:24Speaker 1: saying I'm sorry. Trying to stay out of jail. You
- 13:29Speaker 1: got to go, all right, coming up at thirty two
- 13:33Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, today's headlines and more. We'll talk
- 13:36Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to show. All right,
- 13:42Speaker 1: so here's some breaking news. Um. A Capitol police officer
- 13:46Speaker 1: injured at the riot on Wednesday has died, bringing the
- 13:51Speaker 1: death toll to five. Now. In the wake of Wednesday's
- 13:55Speaker 1: riot of pro Trump domestic terrorists storming the Capitol with
- 13:58Speaker 1: little visible police resistance, Capitol Police Chief Stephen Sun is resigning.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Sun's resignation came not long after how Speaker Nancy Pelosi
- 14:08Speaker 1: demanded a change at the top. Again. We all saw
- 14:11Speaker 1: on social media some of the Capitol police officers led
- 14:14Speaker 1: the domestic terrorists into the Capitol building. They took selfies
- 14:18Speaker 1: with them, et cetera, et cetera. They escorted them out nicely.
- 14:22Speaker 1: We'll take a listen to one of the protesters talking
- 14:25Speaker 1: about the cops. Yeah, we went in there, and then
- 14:27Speaker 1: I walked in and there's just a whole bunch of
- 14:29Speaker 1: people lighting up in some Oregon room. I don't know
- 14:31Speaker 1: if it's an tons of Oregon paintings, but they were
- 14:33Speaker 1: smoking a bunch of weed in there, and they moved
- 14:36Speaker 1: it down so many statues. Cops are very cool, They're like, hey, guys,
- 14:40Speaker 1: have a good night. Some of them. It's just crazy.
- 14:42Speaker 1: It's really weird. You can see that some of there
- 14:43Speaker 1: on our side. That's crazy. Yeah we saw it. Yeah, yeah, yea,
- 14:53Speaker 1: it really is. I don't know when he said the
- 14:57Speaker 1: cops were on his side on their side, who was
- 15:00Speaker 1: he saying was smoking a lot of weed? Who was
- 15:02Speaker 1: here he was? He didn't say specifically he was on
- 15:06Speaker 1: seeing it, And that's the new source of the audio.
- 15:09Speaker 1: He didn't specifically say to the reporter who was smoking weed?
- 15:12Speaker 1: I know, but the fact that the cooperation of the
- 15:15Speaker 1: cops that he was saying, well, but you know what, though,
- 15:17Speaker 1: if they don't make an example these people, and I mean,
- 15:23Speaker 1: I mean, look, do you really expect them too? Though?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Honestly still yes I do, Yes, I really be expected.
- 15:30Speaker 1: But is it going to happen? And I think it
- 15:31Speaker 1: has to because you had, first of all, this fear
- 15:36Speaker 1: was a bipartisan fear. See when you got listen to me, Yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you have women laying on the floor in fear. You
- 15:48Speaker 1: have to do something. You have to react to that,
- 15:51Speaker 1: just as a decent ass man. But then when you
- 15:55Speaker 1: got men curled up next to him with their ass
- 15:58Speaker 1: and do you know that people were writing home, saying
- 16:02Speaker 1: calling their loved ones, telling them goodbye. Man Listen, man,
- 16:08Speaker 1: something has to happen here. And I'm telling you this
- 16:11Speaker 1: new ag that's in that that that got put in,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I'm telling you about Listen to me. It takes weeks sometimes,
- 16:19Speaker 1: but they're gonna get on that camera and they're gonna
- 16:22Speaker 1: make an example out of some of these people. Some
- 16:24Speaker 1: of them are already in court. And they're also looking
- 16:27Speaker 1: at the president for his role in Now that's the
- 16:35Speaker 1: one that's shaky. But and you know he's having secret
- 16:39Speaker 1: meetings right now talking about pardons and stuff. What can
- 16:42Speaker 1: he pardon himself for and things like that. But eventually
- 16:46Speaker 1: this is gonna get broken down to the state level
- 16:49Speaker 1: because what you did was a federal offense. But you
- 16:52Speaker 1: can't pardon. First of all, you can't pardon yourself without charges.
- 16:58Speaker 1: From what I understand, there has to be some charges
- 17:02Speaker 1: before you can pardon yourself. Yeah, it's like, pardon you
- 17:04Speaker 1: for what right? And is accessible to murder? Tommy, that
- 17:11Speaker 1: really heightened the problem. That's why this too late, lion
- 17:16Speaker 1: apology asked apology he made last night. That was the worst,
- 17:23Speaker 1: you know, trying to be presidential now too late. Everybody
- 17:30Speaker 1: went down there and the rioters you will be punished
- 17:35Speaker 1: by law for breaking the law. You will be punished. Whoa,
- 17:39Speaker 1: whoa excuse me, dude, right after they did it. Go
- 17:42Speaker 1: home in peace. We love you, We understand how you
- 17:46Speaker 1: feel that you said that same thing about these people
- 17:49Speaker 1: that you sent down there. Then you turn around last
- 17:52Speaker 1: night and you want to reverse it because now you
- 17:53Speaker 1: see you in trouble, because now you got these this
- 17:56Speaker 1: blood on your hand in these depths, and now you
- 17:59Speaker 1: want to turn around trying to be presidential. I really
- 18:01Speaker 1: appreciate what Biden said about h mummy. Biden lit him
- 18:04Speaker 1: manh yeah and called it like it was because now
- 18:08Speaker 1: that he's certified Biden and took them gloves off, and
- 18:11Speaker 1: you know he's still Joe now, yes, uncle lympses of Joe.
- 18:16Speaker 1: You're right, yes, yeah, yeah, all right and so um.
- 18:20Speaker 1: In other news, the calls to remove Donald Trump from
- 18:23Speaker 1: office are growing louder and louder in the wake of
- 18:26Speaker 1: Wednesday's chaotic scene at the Capitol at the hands of
- 18:30Speaker 1: Trump supporters and the rioters. More than two hundred members
- 18:34Speaker 1: of Congress, mostly Democrats, are calling for Trump to be
- 18:37Speaker 1: removed from office. It is unclear if Vice President Tense
- 18:41Speaker 1: would support such a move so far as think of
- 18:45Speaker 1: all the twenty fifth Amendmen has to be accomplished, according
- 18:50Speaker 1: to what I've been learning by his cabinet members and
- 18:53Speaker 1: the Vice president. His cabinet members and the vice President,
- 18:56Speaker 1: according to the twenty fifth Amendmen, have to say he's
- 18:59Speaker 1: unfit to whole office. If that doesn't work, nasty Pelosi
- 19:02Speaker 1: says she's going to rev up a very quick impeachment
- 19:05Speaker 1: trial that could come up in two days. Problem with
- 19:08Speaker 1: that is, and the reason I don't like that route
- 19:12Speaker 1: is because if enough of them senators don't do that again,
- 19:16Speaker 1: because you need two thirds for impeachment. Right, well, she's
- 19:20Speaker 1: gonna get it done in the House because she did
- 19:22Speaker 1: it before. And then but when you go to the
- 19:26Speaker 1: s even though we control the Senate now, they haven't
- 19:31Speaker 1: been sworn in yet, I don't know, right, and so
- 19:35Speaker 1: I don't think we can get even though they know
- 19:38Speaker 1: he wrong, I don't think we can get two thirds
- 19:41Speaker 1: of the Senate to go along with impeachment. And so
- 19:44Speaker 1: once again he would slipped through the net and become
- 19:46Speaker 1: teflon don and with further embrasing his followers like he's
- 19:51Speaker 1: the greatest look. They tried to get him twice and
- 19:53Speaker 1: they didn't get it. Yeah, yes, And then they're also
- 19:59Speaker 1: saying that they don't want to do that. Another school
- 20:01Speaker 1: of thought is is because it will further divide the country.
- 20:05Speaker 1: And what Joe Biden is trying to do is bring
- 20:07Speaker 1: us together. You know, if we if we go ahead
- 20:10Speaker 1: and stay understand, if they don't have to give them
- 20:14Speaker 1: the power, if he we wan't to be divided from him,
- 20:18Speaker 1: though you don't. There's seven million that don't know what
- 20:24Speaker 1: we've been divided. It's just he made it highly visible. Yeah,
- 20:29Speaker 1: Corey Man, that's that's the problem with this guy. But
- 20:33Speaker 1: we got it all right. Coming up next, the nephew
- 20:37Speaker 1: would run that prank back right after this you're listening
- 20:41Speaker 1: to and entertainment news um O J. Simpson Steve spoke
- 20:47Speaker 1: out yesterday about the attack on Capitol Hill. Uh, yeah,

- 28:24Speaker 1: happened to this young sister walking home two blocks from
- 28:28Speaker 1: her from the LA City Hall, walking home and ran
- 28:32Speaker 1: into stop the Steel Mega Trump rally. And what happened
- 28:37Speaker 1: to this young black woman was appalling. And I'm gonna
- 28:41Speaker 1: draw attention to this and we're gonna get some We're
- 28:43Speaker 1: gonna get some results. We're gonna get something done for
- 28:45Speaker 1: this sis. Yes, all right, more of the Steve Every
- 28:47Speaker 1: Morning show coming up right after this. You're listening to show,
- 28:56Speaker 1: all right, Steveson, who had a story you wanted to
- 28:58Speaker 1: bring to our attention? Out of lust, some some young
- 29:03Speaker 1: folks that work for me bought to my attention. There
- 29:06Speaker 1: is a Instagram site called rock My World, Rocky, rock
- 29:13Speaker 1: My World, Rocky. It's supposed about what happened to this
- 29:17Speaker 1: young sister in downtown Los Angeles, two blocks away from
- 29:23Speaker 1: the LA City Hall where she was walking past or
- 29:26Speaker 1: Stop the Steel Maga rally, you know, to Stop the
- 29:29Speaker 1: Steel it's what they call this campaign. And she was
- 29:32Speaker 1: walking through the crowd and the unmasked supporters. They began
- 29:36Speaker 1: to yell, asking her she had voted for Trump. Now
- 29:39Speaker 1: the sister was on the phone saying now, flipped them
- 29:41Speaker 1: off and kept walking talking on the phone. Then a
- 29:44Speaker 1: mob of twenty Trump protesters supporters circle her, began screaming
- 29:50Speaker 1: in her face, pushing her between each other. One woman
- 29:52Speaker 1: reached over toe off her wig while calling her the
- 29:55Speaker 1: N word, b me and holding flagpoles, began beating us
- 29:59Speaker 1: war and her alongside and who were punching her, and
- 30:03Speaker 1: then a Trump supporter grabbed her from behind, restricting her
- 30:07Speaker 1: ability to defend herself. That was later on reported that
- 30:10Speaker 1: he was trying to pull out and help her. That's
- 30:13Speaker 1: what was later on reported. They got this guy's name
- 30:15Speaker 1: and picture, but as he was holding her, they walked
- 30:19Speaker 1: up and they sprayed this woman with mace dead in
- 30:21Speaker 1: her face. And now this woman is standing there. She
- 30:25Speaker 1: can't do nothing. She can't see now a filminist some
- 30:28Speaker 1: people behind the police barricade. The police didn't do nothing.
- 30:32Speaker 1: They got over the barricade, went and got the woman
- 30:34Speaker 1: and pulled her to safety. Now on this site, rock
- 30:39Speaker 1: My World, Rocky, if you swipe left, you can see
- 30:42Speaker 1: several pictures of the incident. What I bring it to
- 30:45Speaker 1: everybody's attention. It's first of all and foremost, we're not
- 30:52Speaker 1: taking this now. So everybody that's out there that loves
- 30:56Speaker 1: social media, look, do something creative. Let's find out more
- 31:00Speaker 1: about this situation. The police are now filing some type
- 31:04Speaker 1: of investigation. They claimed they didn't know until they saw
- 31:06Speaker 1: it on social media. But we gotta make sure they
- 31:08Speaker 1: pay attention to this crime. Secondly, listen to me, y'all,
- 31:13Speaker 1: this ain't our fight. Stay home. You ain't got to
- 31:18Speaker 1: go up there and get in the mega rally people's
- 31:21Speaker 1: face because they're trying to bring back seventeen seventy six.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Seventeen seventy six ain't coming back. The South ain't rising again.
- 31:29Speaker 1: We ain't going back in time to where y'all liked
- 31:33Speaker 1: it better. We're not doing none of that, miss us
- 31:36Speaker 1: with that monkey ass mess. But listen to me, Black people,
- 31:41Speaker 1: this ain't show fight. Let them rally to try to
- 31:46Speaker 1: try to get Trump back. We voted he gone over.
- 31:51Speaker 1: We have done our civic duty. We have done what
- 31:53Speaker 1: we were supposed to do legally in the correct way.
- 31:56Speaker 1: We have voted He's gone. We ain't got to go
- 31:59Speaker 1: down there be in they faced with the rally, left
- 32:01Speaker 1: them rally by their damn self. They took their stupid
- 32:04Speaker 1: ass in that capital set in all them chairs, got
- 32:07Speaker 1: their feet up on desk, writing sign, putting Viking outfit
- 32:11Speaker 1: on because him and Giuliano and his damn son, Donald
- 32:15Speaker 1: Trump's son told him to go down there, and we're
- 32:18Speaker 1: gonna go down there with you. But they did just
- 32:20Speaker 1: like they posted. They went to their little house. And
- 32:23Speaker 1: now all the people went out and told the play Listen,
- 32:25Speaker 1: this ain't our war. Our war is at the polls.
- 32:29Speaker 1: We did what we were supposed to do as law
- 32:32Speaker 1: abiding citizens. We voted. Don't get in this mess right here.
- 32:39Speaker 1: When you see a mega rally, let them have that rally. Now,
- 32:42Speaker 1: let me four warn you don't come down our blocks
- 32:45Speaker 1: with your rally, right. I don't want to do that.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I saw video on social media, Steven and they said,
- 32:52Speaker 1: don't come down Southeast DCSNA. Yeah, I'm telling you right now,
- 32:56Speaker 1: it's gonna keep your rally, keep your rally out day
- 33:00Speaker 1: in the daylight. I'm just letting you know that now
- 33:03Speaker 1: because I know subcasts that ain't doing this here. But
- 33:06Speaker 1: as far as confronting these people in these rallies, y'all
- 33:09Speaker 1: that don't worry about that. Let's just go vote. Do
- 33:13Speaker 1: not fall prey to anything that ain't our war, the
- 33:17Speaker 1: war to take our country back. That ain't what we
- 33:22Speaker 1: want take our country back. That ain't our war. We
- 33:26Speaker 1: want to make America great again? No, we don't. We
- 33:28Speaker 1: want America to be better, and we proved it by voting.
- 33:33Speaker 1: We ain't trying to relive seventeen seventy six. We don't
- 33:37Speaker 1: give a damn what they did in eighteen seventy six,
- 33:43Speaker 1: back when they had the last time that they enacted
- 33:47Speaker 1: to twenty fifth Amendment. Ain't none of this our war.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Ain't none of this our war. Don't let them drag
- 33:55Speaker 1: you down there and make you victim to this. Stay home,
- 33:58Speaker 1: stay out of that. We got to deal with this.
- 34:01Speaker 1: COVID christ walk stay at home. Hey man, We ain't
- 34:06Speaker 1: got proved nothing to them. Her name is Benda Nebo. Well,
- 34:12Speaker 1: now now we're gonna support be Londa uh mebo. And
- 34:16Speaker 1: if you look at this footage, you are especially out
- 34:19Speaker 1: there uh kjlh out there in La or anybody have
- 34:23Speaker 1: to beat out there, that's listen him. I don't care
- 34:25Speaker 1: who you are. If you recognize anybody in these photos,
- 34:28Speaker 1: and you can submit names if you got some footage
- 34:31Speaker 1: to get it to the police department. Let's support this, sister.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Let's get behind us. Black people, stay home, stay out
- 34:41Speaker 1: their way. Let let them try to make America great
- 34:44Speaker 1: again by their damn self. Don't don't, don't, don't. Don't
- 34:48Speaker 1: worry about what having in seventeen seventy six, ain't nothing
- 34:51Speaker 1: having in seventeen eighteen nineteen been good for us. Damn
- 34:59Speaker 1: all right, well said, all right, coming up more of
- 35:04Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and twenty minutes after the hour,
- 35:06Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys,
- 35:12Speaker 1: Donny is back on Twitter. That was quick. Con Trump
- 35:15Speaker 1: returned to the site late Thursday with a three minute video.
- 35:19Speaker 1: He also made the false claim that he immediately sent
- 35:22Speaker 1: the National Guard to help the stop the violence. He
- 35:25Speaker 1: added that those who stormed the Capitol will be prosecuted.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Take a list, and please. I would like to begin
- 35:33Speaker 1: by addressing the hainous attack on the United States Capitol.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Like all Americans, I am outraged by the violence, lawlessness,
- 35:41Speaker 1: and mayhem. I immediately deployed the National Guard and federal
- 35:45Speaker 1: law enforcement to secure the building and expel the intruders.
- 35:49Speaker 1: America is and must always be a nation of law
- 35:53Speaker 1: and order. The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled
- 35:58Speaker 1: the seat of American Democrats. To those who engaged in
- 36:01Speaker 1: the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent
- 36:05Speaker 1: our country. And to those who broke the law, you
- 36:08Speaker 1: will pay. Well. You know, man, uh, he's definitely reading,
- 36:16Speaker 1: but and he's lying. He didn't immediately call in the
- 36:21Speaker 1: National Cause Pitts had to do it after he got
- 36:25Speaker 1: ran out of the speaker house. Also, man, this dude
- 36:30Speaker 1: is doing this for one reason and one reason only
- 36:34Speaker 1: because not because remember now that evening it was hey guys,
- 36:40Speaker 1: we need to go home, go home in peace. We
- 36:43Speaker 1: love you, We understand how you feel. That he was
- 36:47Speaker 1: talking to those people. If you're special, it's not over.
- 36:52Speaker 1: That was a speech when he got that blood on
- 36:54Speaker 1: his hand and foe dead people five now and then
- 36:58Speaker 1: and then found out that that that that it was
- 37:02Speaker 1: some Republicans backing up. Now all of a sudden, y'all
- 37:06Speaker 1: fitting to pay but roll the tape back earlier that
- 37:10Speaker 1: day at twelve o'clock when you sent them to the
- 37:13Speaker 1: capitol in your own words, you and Rudy Giuliano. So this,
- 37:17Speaker 1: this man right here is really unfit. But the hen
- 37:27Speaker 1: to be present. And Ivanka, his daughter, called them patriots.
- 37:31Speaker 1: She tweeted that and then took it down. Yeah patriots, yeah,
- 37:37Speaker 1: because that's how they really feel about them. But since
- 37:39Speaker 1: his daddy could ask could go to jail, not a criminals,
- 37:44Speaker 1: right y, Yeah, listen to me, to my listeners, our
- 37:49Speaker 1: business is to continue to vote for change. Yes, that's right,
- 37:54Speaker 1: that's right now. If you kill us, we're going back
- 37:57Speaker 1: out in the streets to protest. Other than that this
- 38:00Speaker 1: mess they're doing about make America great again and get
- 38:03Speaker 1: it back seventeen seventy six. We ain't got nothing to
- 38:05Speaker 1: do with that nothing. Let's just keep voting like we did.
- 38:09Speaker 1: And I appreciate you Hall's power at the poll. Showed up,
- 38:12Speaker 1: showed up, all right, coming up, Thank you, Steve. Coming
- 38:15Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we're gonna
- 38:17Speaker 1: go to the phones and talk to the people. Eight
- 38:19Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine. Steve, you're listening to the Steve
- 38:23Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Und oh even the where your talk comes? Oh,
- 38:34Speaker 1: robed me? Speaking of talking, Let's go to the phones
- 38:37Speaker 1: and hear what the people have to say. Eight seven
- 38:40Speaker 1: seven twenty nine. Came in with the wrong tone. Okay,
- 38:44Speaker 1: my bad. Let's go to line forward. Steven talk to
- 38:46Speaker 1: Jeffrey out of Cali. Hey, Jeffrey, how you doing? How
- 38:51Speaker 1: you doing? Man? What's your comment problem? Hey? Bro? I
- 38:53Speaker 1: just wanted to correct you on something your own point.
- 38:56Speaker 1: What's killing everybody to vote? But they haven't focused in
- 38:59Speaker 1: on the k the kids, the Republican senators, We cannot
- 39:05Speaker 1: let them get or have our stay in control in
- 39:08Speaker 1: the future. You have to vote them out. Remember eight
- 39:12Speaker 1: years of Obama. This president came in and undid it
- 39:16Speaker 1: because of the Senators. They have the Pandemic Response Team.
- 39:20Speaker 1: They can't got rid of that. The Heroes Act is
- 39:22Speaker 1: sitting on their death. They be told that the Stimulus
- 39:25Speaker 1: Act they wouldn't do that, and they impeached them. That's
- 39:28Speaker 1: what Congress did, but nothing came of it because of
- 39:31Speaker 1: the Republican Senators then undid everything pretty much Obama did.
- 39:35Speaker 1: They pushed it. They're holding us high stitched. The Republican
- 39:41Speaker 1: senators are holding us high. Bro listen to this. I
- 39:45Speaker 1: agree with what you're saying. Do you understand what I
- 39:47Speaker 1: was saying though, that our power and our fight is
- 39:50Speaker 1: at the polls. With the vote. I'm adding to it,
- 39:53Speaker 1: but I want everybody to know that's where you got
- 39:55Speaker 1: to focus your votes off them. You were what you
- 40:00Speaker 1: told me was you got to correct me. But that's
- 40:03Speaker 1: what Steve meant. Jeff, Hey, Jeff, I'm with you, man,
- 40:10Speaker 1: but you don't tell me. You got to check me,
- 40:12Speaker 1: you know st who So, yeah, he's right, he's right,
- 40:20Speaker 1: down balls and all of that. We gotta vote all
- 40:23Speaker 1: in all every election. But I think it is good
- 40:27Speaker 1: for us because we saw that our voting does matter. Now. See,
- 40:31Speaker 1: for years we thought it didn't matter. What we found
- 40:34Speaker 1: out this year. These two elections proved that I vote
- 40:38Speaker 1: not only matter, it counts. Not only counts, it determines
- 40:42Speaker 1: the outcome. Thank you, brother, I do appreciate that. Yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 1: thank you. Jeffrey from California. All right, Line six, Sheila
- 40:51Speaker 1: from Memphis. Hey, Sheila, Hey, but I get a quart.
- 40:57Speaker 1: How y'all doing, ok a question? That's all go ahead, Okay,
- 41:02Speaker 1: I got a question. Everyone is talking about Trump apologize
- 41:06Speaker 1: and he said the people will be prosecuted. But doing
- 41:09Speaker 1: that speak, Trump made a statement that this is the
- 41:13Speaker 1: beginner of our journey. What journey is he talking about?
- 41:16Speaker 1: Who is he talking too? He's talking to his base. Ye,
- 41:20Speaker 1: he's talking to those people who stormed the capitol. This
- 41:24Speaker 1: is just our journey. He actually is trying to plant
- 41:29Speaker 1: the seed that he's not done, that he shall return
- 41:32Speaker 1: on some level. And that's to keep those donations coming
- 41:37Speaker 1: in to help him. But see, the original donation he
- 41:41Speaker 1: asked it for was to help him fight to overturn
- 41:45Speaker 1: the election because he needs funds to go out and
- 41:48Speaker 1: prove it. Well, people sent in over two hundred million
- 41:51Speaker 1: dollars to this fund, But if you read the fine
- 41:54Speaker 1: line on the fund, it says in the fund he
- 41:58Speaker 1: has the right to dispense these funds as he see
- 42:01Speaker 1: pleases at his discretion. Hardly any of it was used
- 42:06Speaker 1: to fight to fight because they couldn't get the cases.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Eighty judges turned them down. There's the only one they
- 42:12Speaker 1: had to pay with Giuliano. Well, now he got two
- 42:15Speaker 1: hundred million, and now when he walked away that two
- 42:18Speaker 1: hundred million, he get to do what he want to do.
- 42:20Speaker 1: But what we're gonna do is ties as something caught.
- 42:23Speaker 1: With that two hundred million, he gonna spend all that
- 42:25Speaker 1: in the State of New York flaws to VC civil times.
- 42:31Speaker 1: All these people's lives who got lost got lost because
- 42:34Speaker 1: he sent them people down that the civil suits is coming.
- 42:37Speaker 1: So that's the way I could answer answer your question.
- 42:43Speaker 1: She was good. Uh huh, all right, Steve. I mean,
- 42:47Speaker 1: you know, what can we say on the twentieth he'll
- 42:51Speaker 1: be out kicking and screaming whatever whatever. He'll be gone
- 42:55Speaker 1: on the twentieth. Ye that speech he gave yesterday was
- 42:59Speaker 1: just to say his own tale. Yes, it was because
- 43:03Speaker 1: he know he in a world of trouble. Now he
- 43:05Speaker 1: sent them people down. Now, yeah, all right, we're moving on.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Coming up next the nephew with the frank phone call.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Stry Morning Show,
- 43:19Speaker 1: all right. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 43:22Speaker 1: right about four minutes after, it'll be my strawberry letter
- 43:25Speaker 1: for today. The subject is I've been with two two
- 43:31Speaker 1: of her cousins. I slept with two of her cousins.

- 44:35Speaker 1: in my neighborhood either. Okay, I'm a couple of streets over.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Your son is um Is Wesley? Am I right? Okay? Yeah,
- 44:44Speaker 1: you know a little bit too much. Um. So again,
- 44:47Speaker 1: how did you get my number? I got your number
- 44:50Speaker 1: from one of the neighbors. Her name is Rosalind. She
- 44:52Speaker 1: told me to reach out and give you a call.
- 44:54Speaker 1: I wanted to Uh, I wanted to ask you about um.
- 44:57Speaker 1: From my understanding, you were able to get your son
- 44:59Speaker 1: one of those P fives for Christmas? Okay? And you
- 45:02Speaker 1: live in the neighborhood too. Hell yeah, I live in
- 45:04Speaker 1: the neighborhood. I'm just asking you. You were able to
- 45:07Speaker 1: get your son one of those PS fives for Christmas? Yeah?
- 45:10Speaker 1: My son has a PS five. All right, So look,
- 45:14Speaker 1: what do you want? Okay? What I'm trying to do
- 45:16Speaker 1: is is like my son, Travis Junior, he wasn't you know,
- 45:21Speaker 1: he wasn't able to get the PS five. We tried
- 45:23Speaker 1: and tried to get the PS five exactly exactly, so
- 45:29Speaker 1: I would you know? I was, you know, like I said,
- 45:31Speaker 1: I know you don't know me, and I'm calling you
- 45:33Speaker 1: out to clear Blue. Do you think it's possible my son,
- 45:36Speaker 1: Travis Junior could maybe play with the PS five that
- 45:39Speaker 1: you guys got until we get him to get him one.
- 45:43Speaker 1: I don't think so. I don't know you or your son.
- 45:48Speaker 1: I mean, where did your son go to school? He's
- 45:50Speaker 1: out of school right now. How long you guys been
- 45:52Speaker 1: in the neighborhood. We've only been here like about six
- 45:56Speaker 1: or seven months. We really just got here and he's
- 45:59Speaker 1: not in school? Is it because of COVID? No? No, no, No,
- 46:01Speaker 1: he's um he's he's he's he's finished his third year
- 46:05Speaker 1: and um college and he took some and he took
- 46:08Speaker 1: some time off college. He must be kidding me. College.
- 46:13Speaker 1: How old is your son? My son is twenty four?
- 46:16Speaker 1: You know? But that's what that that that that that
- 46:18Speaker 1: don't mean nothing though, you know what. I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
- 46:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry to say that again. How old is your say,
- 46:23Speaker 1: twenty four? Travis Juniors? Twenty four? You out of your
- 46:28Speaker 1: god mine? Who are you raising over there? Man child.
- 46:31Speaker 1: What is this twenty four? Well, the boy boy has
- 46:35Speaker 1: two year old comes to my house that I don't know.
- 46:38Speaker 1: That's a grown man, a grown man who wants to
- 46:40Speaker 1: play a PlayStation or twelve year old in my house
- 46:43Speaker 1: at twenty four. He's twenty four years old, but he
- 46:47Speaker 1: didn't have You got bigger problems than trying to get
- 46:50Speaker 1: a PlayStation. I mean, your son don't have to beat it.
- 46:52Speaker 1: I just want to let my son play because he
- 46:54Speaker 1: ain't been able to play with one. He's been moping
- 46:55Speaker 1: around the house and crying about it, you know, so
- 46:58Speaker 1: I was trying to figure out if you can help,
- 46:59Speaker 1: you know, come over there and play with it. You know,
- 47:01Speaker 1: when your son not playing with it, a twenty four
- 47:04Speaker 1: year old, you're trying to find him a PlayStation? Are
- 47:06Speaker 1: you kidding me? You got bigger problems. You need to
- 47:09Speaker 1: be finding him a job. You need to be finding
- 47:12Speaker 1: him an apartment. You finding him some good online courses
- 47:16Speaker 1: or something to get his ass out of the house,
- 47:18Speaker 1: to get a job, to get an apartment, okay, something,
- 47:21Speaker 1: But until until I get him a job, he can't
- 47:25Speaker 1: play a play with the PlayStation until the end. Are
- 47:29Speaker 1: you out of your mind? He can't play PlayStation until
- 47:31Speaker 1: I find him a boy playing in the PlayStation. Don't
- 47:34Speaker 1: get That's why I got one. That's why I got one.
- 47:36Speaker 1: That's why I worked hard, and I got one here
- 47:38Speaker 1: on time. That's why. But from my twelve year old,
- 47:41Speaker 1: not for a twenty four year old who needs to
- 47:44Speaker 1: have a job and a purpose. Oh my goodness, you're
- 47:47Speaker 1: looking for a PlayStation. What kind of father are you?
- 47:50Speaker 1: You're looking for a play date? That's his ridiculous For
- 47:53Speaker 1: a twenty four year old, you must be I'm not
- 47:57Speaker 1: looking for a playdate. Your boy don't even have to
- 47:59Speaker 1: be there. I just wanted to bear to go. Oh no, no, no, no, no,
- 48:04Speaker 1: now you're going now, now you're now, you're really talking crazy.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Get him a job, to get an education, to get
- 48:09Speaker 1: a job, to get an apartment, to get a life,
- 48:11Speaker 1: and then he can buy his own constation. You know what,
- 48:15Speaker 1: Laurie said, he was gonna act like this. I'm sorry,
- 48:18Speaker 1: what did your sister? I said, Laurie, ain't your sister, Laurie? Okay,
- 48:23Speaker 1: you know a little bit too much about me, and
- 48:25Speaker 1: I ain't. Never I don't know nothing. I don't know
- 48:27Speaker 1: ned nothing about you. Oh oh, how do you know
- 48:30Speaker 1: my sister. I know you. I'm gonna tell you. I

- 53:08Speaker 1: Buggle up, hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry letter. Thank you nephew. Subject I've
- 53:15Speaker 1: been with two of her cousins. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 53:19Speaker 1: a thirty six year old man, married to the love
- 53:21Speaker 1: of my life with four children. Around eight years ago,
- 53:25Speaker 1: I left home, moved about four hours away, and that's
- 53:28Speaker 1: when I met my wife and we started a family.
- 53:32Speaker 1: We were from neighboring cities and knew a few of
- 53:35Speaker 1: the same people, so that's how we clicked. She grew
- 53:38Speaker 1: up in a close knit family with lots of cousins,
- 53:41Speaker 1: and there's no way I could ever meet her entire
- 53:44Speaker 1: family in one visit. Well, we fell on hard times
- 53:48Speaker 1: during the pandemic, so my wife suggested we moved back
- 53:51Speaker 1: to her hometown because Chicago was too expensive. We moved
- 53:55Speaker 1: and I got a great job and I'm able to
- 53:57Speaker 1: take care of my family again. Wife is happy because
- 54:01Speaker 1: she's close to her family again. But I have a
- 54:04Speaker 1: big problem during the holidays a lot of her family
- 54:07Speaker 1: members decided to do a drive by party for her
- 54:10Speaker 1: great grandmother because it may be her last Christmas. My
- 54:13Speaker 1: wife and I drove by the house and her great
- 54:16Speaker 1: grandmother was sitting on a porch all dressed up, and
- 54:18Speaker 1: a female was on the sidewalk taking cards and gifts
- 54:22Speaker 1: from people. As we drove by. When the female walked
- 54:25Speaker 1: up to our car, my heart fell. I had met
- 54:29Speaker 1: this girl ten years ago and we messed around for
- 54:32Speaker 1: a good while and things ended badly. Well, she's my
- 54:36Speaker 1: wife's cousin. By the look on her face, she was
- 54:41Speaker 1: shocked too. Later that day, we went to dinner with
- 54:44Speaker 1: a few of my wife's relatives and another woman that
- 54:47Speaker 1: I used to mess with was there. She's my wife's
- 54:50Speaker 1: first cousin, and she caught me alone and said she
- 54:53Speaker 1: knew I was married to her cousin, but she's moved
- 54:55Speaker 1: on and it's cool. My wife doesn't suspect a thing
- 54:58Speaker 1: with either woman. But I'm so nervous. Now what should
- 55:03Speaker 1: I do? Okay, first of all, pull yourself together. Okay,
- 55:07Speaker 1: just pull yourself together. You don't have to be this nervous.
- 55:10Speaker 1: You didn't do anything wrong. You did nothing wrong. I mean, yeah,
- 55:13Speaker 1: it's a crazy, wild coincidence. And what are the chances
- 55:17Speaker 1: that you will have dated and slept with two of
- 55:20Speaker 1: your wife's cousins but you didn't know and you said
- 55:23Speaker 1: she had a big family. I'm sure you're not the
- 55:25Speaker 1: first one who's ever experienced something like this. I mean,
- 55:29Speaker 1: the two variables are the cousins you don't know what
- 55:31Speaker 1: they're gonna say, or you don't know what they're gonna do,
- 55:34Speaker 1: But they had their opportunity, they didn't say or do anything.
- 55:38Speaker 1: The problem is yet, you know, you guys have moved
- 55:41Speaker 1: back and your wife will see her family more, so
- 55:46Speaker 1: that might be a problem. I mean, you know, the
- 55:48Speaker 1: cousin you talked with will be cool. She's moved on.
- 55:51Speaker 1: The other one, I don't know, the one where it
- 55:54Speaker 1: ended badly, she might be the one you have to
- 55:56Speaker 1: have some concerns about. But when she saw you, although
- 55:59Speaker 1: she wasn't shocked, she still didn't say anything. So I
- 56:03Speaker 1: just see it as you have two options. You can
- 56:05Speaker 1: keep your mouth shut and act like you don't know
- 56:08Speaker 1: you know know these women, like like you did for
- 56:11Speaker 1: the birthday, the drive by birthday, or you can come
- 56:14Speaker 1: clean and tell your wife everything. Those are your two options.
- 56:16Speaker 1: I know Steve is going to disagree with telling her everything.
- 56:20Speaker 1: I know you are, but I mean, you have birth
- 56:23Speaker 1: on your side. You have the truth on your side
- 56:25Speaker 1: because you didn't know anything, and yeah, he didn't know anything.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Time for day, it's always time for the truth. I
- 56:33Speaker 1: think it's always time for the truth. I think your wife.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I think your wife would rather it come from you,
- 56:41Speaker 1: if that's what you're concerned about. These two cousins spilling
- 56:43Speaker 1: the beans. You know, this is very close to home now,
- 56:46Speaker 1: she's with her family and stuff. So I mean, you know,
- 56:49Speaker 1: I in this instance, because it's family, and because they
- 56:53Speaker 1: might say something, I say, tell your wife, that's what
- 56:56Speaker 1: I say. Tell her what hey Manley turn, I'm gone, okay,
- 57:06Speaker 1: now listen to me, hey man, listen to me. Shirley
- 57:09Speaker 1: gave a great answer. Don't don't go in here with
- 57:11Speaker 1: this to your wife, though. Do not walk this bag
- 57:16Speaker 1: a hot ass trouble in there and lay it at
- 57:19Speaker 1: your wife's feet. Don't start nune, won't be nun. Why
- 57:27Speaker 1: in the hell would you go in here and say this.
- 57:33Speaker 1: There is no reason to say this. That's the only
- 57:36Speaker 1: thing I disagree about. Sherley's answer other than that, Shirley
- 57:40Speaker 1: had a great answer. But don't you take your ass
- 57:43Speaker 1: in there to your wife and bring this up, because
- 57:48Speaker 1: what the first thing that's gonna do is signal to
- 57:51Speaker 1: her that you've been thinking about it. And I'll tell
- 57:56Speaker 1: you the women. Why wo't you go in there and
- 57:59Speaker 1: bring it up. You can go in there because Shirley
- 58:01Speaker 1: says something. Shirley said, you did nothing wrong and you
- 58:05Speaker 1: didn't know and you didn't talk. Shirley's right about that.
- 58:09Speaker 1: I told you. I agree with all the Shirley answer,
- 58:11Speaker 1: except going in and tell your wife. What if going
- 58:16Speaker 1: in and tell your wife nothing. If they're going there
- 58:21Speaker 1: and tell your wife first, your first reaction gonna be
- 58:26Speaker 1: that's who that is? Yeah, what are you kidding me?
- 58:35Speaker 1: Let me see her. I don't even remember her. Oh yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 1: you feel like that. Oh damn man, it wasn't even man,
- 58:52Speaker 1: it wasn't even nothing. It wasn't even worth it. Man,
- 58:55Speaker 1: you know that. Don't bro don't go in there and
- 58:58Speaker 1: tell your wife this here years ago. It's okay, No,
- 59:01Speaker 1: it's not okay. Do not go in there with this boy.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Listen to me, sir, Do not go intead and tell
- 59:07Speaker 1: your wife just here being nervous. It's okay. I've been
- 59:10Speaker 1: scared of a lot of things in my life. Just
- 59:12Speaker 1: stay scared, all right, Scared way better than guilty. We'll
- 59:20Speaker 1: have heard two of Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 59:23Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter. Subject I've
- 59:28Speaker 1: been with two of her cousins. Two of her cousins,
- 59:33Speaker 1: and uh, we'll be back right after this. You're listening
- 59:37Speaker 1: to morning show. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap
- 59:41Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. The subject is I've been with two
- 59:45Speaker 1: of her cousins. Let's well, this brother thirty six years old,
- 59:50Speaker 1: married to the love of his life. They got four children. Now,
- 59:55Speaker 1: eight years ago he left home and moved about four
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: hours away, and that's when he met his wife and
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: the start of the family. And they were from neighboring cities,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: and they knew some of the same people, and that's
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: how they clicked. She grew up in a close knit family,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: got lots of cousins, so there's no way I could
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: have ever met her entire family in one visit. Well,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: we fell on some hard times and the pandemic hits.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: So the wife suggested that we moved back to her hometown.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: He don't say where that is because Chicago was too expensive.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: So they loaded up the truck and they moved to
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Beverly Hills, that is swimming Pool Movie Star where the
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: next thing you know, old Jason Million, the kid folks
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: said Jack from that said this all the place is
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: the place you want to be. So they loaded up
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: the truck and then moved to see what she could see.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: So they moved out there to his wife hometown. This
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: is a great sitcom. Work at home and the wife
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: is happy because she close to her family again. But
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: he got big problem. During the holidays, they decided to
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: do a drive by party for the great Grandmama because
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: you know it's COVID. You can't go around old ass
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: people because they they got most of them got preexention conditions.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: So it's a lot of drive by parties, congratulations and
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: all that. You know, throwing, you got to throw your
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: gift up on the porch, then let it sit out
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: there in the cold for for the eight hour for
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: your braining in. Then, so they were driving buying so
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: instead of throwing, because obviously she real old, so she
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: couldn't pick up half the bocket. It's hard to throw
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: a microwave, you know, stuff like that. You gotta get
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: an old person to microwave because the one they had
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: was from seventy eight and is broke. So with you. Anyway,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: they were doing drive by gifts and they drove by,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: and your grandmama was sitting on the porch all dressed up,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: and a female was on the sidewalk taking cards and
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: gifts from people as they drove by. When the woman
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: walked up to call his heart drop because he had
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: met this girl ten years ago and they messed around
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: for a good while and things ended badly. Well, she's
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: my wife's cousin, and body look on her face she
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: was shocked too. Well. Later that day they went to
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: dinner and a few different relatives showed up and and
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: a woman, another woman that he used to mess me,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: was there too. She's my wife's first cousin. And she
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: caught him alone and said she knew I was married
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: to a cousin, but she's moved on in this cool.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: My wife don't suspect the thing with either woman. But
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I'm so nervous. Now what should I do? Shelly said.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Shelly gave a great answer and then Shelly said, you
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: should go and tell the wife. Listen to me, boy,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: don't walk this. Don't walk your ass in there. And
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: and ladies at your white feet. Shelly said, the reason
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: you should tell hers because you've done and wrong. That
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: ain't how your wife go look at it. Don't you
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: walk your ass in now and say nothing. Now, the
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: one girl that said it's cool, she'd have moved on,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: so why would you bring that up? But the other one,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: though it ended badly, she might say something. That's the one.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: And if she says something, then you got to go.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Hold she was the one taking the gifts to your grandmama, scanny.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Pay tention to her. Now. First of all, congratulations, bro,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: because I gotta tell you something. I know you'dn't mad
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: into a fine ass family. Obviously everybody didn't your family,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: All of you have slept with, all the cousins. Grandmama
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: sitting up the problem to half Q two sitting up
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: on the porch, she still holding congratulations. Man, you're mad
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: into a beautiful family and you haven't had half of them. Now,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: don't congratulations for that? Yeah, Now, Shirley said you should
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: go and just announce it, bro, Do not go in
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: there and tell this to this woman. Now, I know
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you scared, he said, I'm nervous as hell. What should
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I do? Listen to me, son, you're thirty six years old.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You take that thirty six and flipping, and that's how
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: old I am right now, sixty three. Do not take
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: your stupid ass in there to this woman and bring
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: this up. Shut shit, damn mouth, and let's leave it
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: that way. The one that ended badly may not open
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: her damn mouth. Man, you ain't got time for this, right, hell,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: don't say a damn fame. The wife is seeing the
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: family more now. I don't give a damn what she said.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: The other girl said, it's cool, she moved on. He
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: just had to pray about the one that broke up bad.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: But all this going on, cannot let listen to me.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: All this going in here because you're scared. Scared is
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: way better than guilty. I'm gonna say it again, It
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: is better to be scared than guilty. Shirley keeps saying,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you didn't do nothing wrong, So you just gonna sleep
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: with everybody in my family. You don't think you're feet
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: hit this dog every time? Okay, So what did you
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: see in her. So you're just going through the family
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: and then and then they gonna tell each other, and
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: you're gonna be this one. How many of us? He
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: goes the grandmama, Lord Jesus, she scared. He don't snared
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: with all the babies. All right, thank you, thank you.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: He just running through the Jackson on Today's Strawberry Letter
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: and Steve Harvey have them on Instagram and Facebook. Coming
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: up junior with Sports Talking, right, you're all right, all right,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: you know what time it is. It's time for sports
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: talk with Junior. What you got for its Junior? Yeah,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: surely this ain't a good one today. Um. The University
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: of Tennessee at Chattanooga assistant football coach Chris Malone has
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: been fired for a disgusting tweet he posted about our
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Queen Stacy Abram after the big win from the Senators
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: elect Reverend Warnock and John ass Off. I'm just gonna
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: tell you, Chris man, don't say nothing else about Stacy Abrams. Okay.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I just don't even stay now, yo. And you know,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: and the statement was so disgusting, I don't even won't
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: know if I want to repeat it. No, we're not
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: We're okay. But I'm not even gonna okay, okay, but
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: can we put this statement. Let me explain something to you,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: the way we feel about our sisters, Stacy as our queen,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: just as a black man. See, let me let me
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: tell you something. Man, we have to defend our sisters.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: We have to do a better job than we've been doing.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Stop letting these people talk about our women like this.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: It would be better if we start we stopped talking
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: about him. But let's you really can't say nothing about
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: our queens no more now less you want your ass? Whoop?
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: We were gonna get well, see right now they're whipping
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: each other, asked, So we got to let that play out,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: you know, busting out wonders at the Capitol. You know
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: we're in Viking suits. They're asked me to go to
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: jail right now. We need to let all this play out.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: But listen, man, in your loss of the presidency, don't
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: don't come for our queen, Stacy Adams, who's done so much. Abrams,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: your tweet was so ignorant. It's so ignorant that it
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: has cost you your livelihood. And bro, why are you
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: fitting to go to get hired again? Because see social
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: media got you everywhere. So what coaching program you fitting
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: to go that ain't got no black kids on the
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: football team? Who is you fit to play for the
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Montana Marshmallows because that's all that's out there, Montana Marshmallers
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: and they're a little league team. Yeah, and that's a
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: fantasy football at back. If you get into football and
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: you don't have black people. We were not really talking.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: You can't be talking Division one, Division three? So where
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: are you going? See? Man? This comment has cost you
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: your livelihood and good for you. Man. I don't know
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: what's wrong with these people, but Stacy Abrams, it's off limits. Serious.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I'm claiming Stacy Abrams as Steve Harvey little sister, keep
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: your hands off my little sister. I ain't having it
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: if I hear you talking about ain't one of my
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: little sisters, Uncle Steve coming for that ass because we
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: tied you. What's your racist as cat atmss. We'll be back.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: We're gonna take some calls. Eight seven seven twenty nine
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. After this, you're
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: listening to Morning show? Harvy Morning Show had some yasting
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: conversation off air. Um, but We're gonna go to the phone, Steve,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: because we have people waiting to talk to us. Let's
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: go to line one and talk to Terry out of Beaumont, Texas.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: And Terry, good morning, Good morning, the number one morning
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: show in the Golden Tray and gold I'm doing beautiful.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: What's on your mind, Terry? Well, I just want to
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: tell you you I have done an awesome job with
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: the voting and everyone needs to just stay focused in
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: just vote. Your your vote is your voice, and uh,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: that's what we need to do is vote. And I
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: want and tell you all how hilarious you are and
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: enjoy you. Steve. You have done so much for my
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: mom doing this pandemic with the other readers that you
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: work in. Thank you for that and let everybody know
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: that laughter is good for the soul. You gotta keep
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: balancing your life. And miss Strawberry, did you all know
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: you all have a commercial here in the Golden Triangle,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: So I get to see who I knew everyone else
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: except you, Miss Strawer. No commercial? What commercial is this here? Baby?
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: That's just commercial timing. You're not gonna get paid for Okay,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: no commercial? Check into that? Yes, thank you, Terry, for
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: letting us know. We appreciate you too. Thank you. And
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Mama commercial part of Orange Texas. Somebody input all the
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Orange tom No, no, they didn't ran this commercial all
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: up and down our tam. We need to find out
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: what's that's good a line too, and talk to Kim
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: out of Jacksonville. Hey, Kim do, good good morning, good morning,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: good morning. All right, Well what's on your mind? Kim? Yeah,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: what I wanted to talk about. Steps. First, I've seen
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: you in person. I got to put it to see
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: you in person when you was in Orlando, and I
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: also got to Purvis to see let you Tommy when
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: he came to Jacksonville and Jay mcbrown when they came
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: to Jacksoner in the comedy club. My son is just
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: left for the bus, and he told me to tell you,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: He said, hello, he will be in your camp where
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: he gets old enough. But I wanted to trust to
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: you about the concerns about what happened in the capital
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: because as a ten year old man, young man, she
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: asked me someone, what's gonna happen? He said, told you,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: because you always told me. How if I'm with friends
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: and we do something wrong, we all gonna get in
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: trouble in golf a bit. Someone just hurt our joy.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: We all get in trouble for that. So how come
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the president is not getting in trouble for what he did?
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: And now another police officer died this morning at well,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: tell your baby what I've had to tell my sons
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: and what my father has had to tell me. The
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: reason the president ain't in trouble, well, technically is because
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: he's president. You can't indict a sitting president but wipe
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: all out a way. The reason those people were allowed
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: to storm the Capitol and nothing happened to the majority
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: of them is because the thing that's called white privilege
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: is real. It is very real, and it's a very
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: much a double standard in how we are handled by
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: the police departments nationwide. Once again, all police officers are
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: not this way, but there are enough of them who
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: are who make it very bad for not the most
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: of us, but all of us. So continue to tell
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: your son to be watchful, to understand that there is
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: still a difference in this world, and as much as
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: we would like for it to change, it's not moving
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: right now. So stay watchful, keep teaching your son to
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: things that you've talked to me. He has every right
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: to question it. But our power is it what you said,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: It is in the vote. And what black people and
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: brown people did this election along with whites was we
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: prove that our vote counts, our vote matters, and black
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: lives matter because we matter so much now that we
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: change outcomes of elections period. That's right, that's right. Thank you, Kim,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Thank you Terry for your phone calls. We'll have more
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at about
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: twenty minutes right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, very special announcement tomorrow, guys.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: We are celebrating what you ask. Well. First of all,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: out to say happy birthday to my husband or Nasto.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: It is his birthday tomorrow, so happy birthday dog. And
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: it's her anniversary tomorrow, anniversary seversary. Let me jump in
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: here in which my wife a happy birthday tomorrow as well,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Jackie Day. I'm just so happy that I made it.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: I can I can't. I still can't. Be six years
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: you say that publicly on the weekend of the anniversary.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: That's cool. I just think it's cool. Six years two
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: cooked meals. I'm doing good. So, Shirley, what do you do?
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Do you buy something for Christmas? Then of course you have,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: so you gotta buy two things. You got anniversary anniverse
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: close close together. Yeah, but it's more about what, not
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: so much what I buy, what he buys, as far
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: as I'm concerned. Facts. You gotta get the man something.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: It is his birthday and yeah, but the birthday is
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: on the anniversary. Tell me you know what you should
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: get him, Shirley, one of those places that deliver meals
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: for the week so that man can eat something. Wow.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Baby, Happy birthday, and happy birthday. We'll be
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: right back, y'all with more to Steve Hark Moreno, you're
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: listening to the Steven Show. Okay, I'm gonna start this
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: story this way. We have asked you to be quiet,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: to get somewhere and sit down. We have no not you.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I'm talking about O j Okay OJ Simpson. He's speaking
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: out again. Yesterday he spoke about the domestic terrorist attack
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: on the Capitol. Take a listen. You know, I've been
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: in the legal system and I've ad verdict that I
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: didn't agree with, But I believe in an American system.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: I believe in the jury system, so I felt I
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: had to honor it, and I tried to honor it
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: as best as I could I could, and then move on.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: And I can't believe that we have people who are
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: trusted in really making the jury system working in the
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: jury system that is not honoring the jury system, not
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: honoring the decisions of some of our federal judges, and that,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: I don't know. That makes me sad. On hold of one,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: anybody say anything, let me let me just go back
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: with ol J for a second year. I've been writing
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: jokes about ol J sys nineties, early nineties, so I'm
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: very familiar. Oh, when you say that you've been in
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: the legal system, you had some verdicts passed down that
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: you didn't agree with. Which which one you talking about?
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Because the first verdict that was freed you from murdering
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: two people that were not guilted. That that's one I
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: don't I don't know. I don't know how you had
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: trouble with that one, But let's just work past that.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: The second one that you could have probably had a
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: problem with was when they convicted you. When you went
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: in there with them four other fifty year old fools
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: with a gun to get your highsman back. And then
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: y'all helding people at gunpoint, kidnapping and all is here
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: assault charges that one right there after you got free
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: from the sohich which one of these verdicts was you
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: having the most trouble with? So what's your what's this one? Out? Yeah?
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: We won't yeah out? Why is he discuss it anything judicial? Yeah?
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: We have asked him. You got some ideals about football?
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Weel up for listening. You know, no, Lane, he could
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: play some dawn football. He's familiar with the judicial system.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: That's because it was a guilty. It is a guilty verdict,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: that's what it's guilty. You gotta goss he talking. He
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: craves the spotlight. I guess, I guess he does. You
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: know it might be true. It makes me sane. He
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: just likes Yeah. All right, This is the last break
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: of the day that's coming up at forty nine minutes
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: after the hour. Please join us for that, as well
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: as some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Harvey right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Here
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: we are last break of the day, last break of
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: the week of this very very very crazy historic. Yeah,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: h it's a lot. My closing remarks today as a
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: combination of things. First of all, the other pride that
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: I feel, uh in the turnout turnout that our community
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: displayed in the election overall, and then the utter and
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: sheer pride that I felt in the senatorial runoff election
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: between that put Raphael Warnock and John Ausoff into the
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: Senate um. A lot of people voted, but I'm I'm
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: talking about a particular voting block. I'm talking about the
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: voting block that has been so ignored for hundreds of years.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: I'm talking about the voting block that has had every
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: attempt to oppress that vote that you can think of.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: No one has been denied, prevented, oppressed to vote more
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: than black people, no one, no one. We have suffered
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: for years with this, and we overcame it all. And
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: this year was the proudest year of my life as
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: a voter. This was my proudest year of my life
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: as a radio personality for my morning show, for all
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: of us on the Morning Show who realized that our
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: efforts made an impact, and we encouraged and imployed and
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: pleaded with people and gave reasoning and did all of
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: the important interviews to get people to vote. So we've
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: done that, and in that we have taught ourselves that
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: our vote does matter. We had to prove it to
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: ourselves though, because look, so many things have happened to
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: us in this country for over four hundred years that
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: I can understand the feeling that it don't matter, but
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: it had to one day bear out the way it
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: has that it does matter. We had to become living
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: proof for ourselves that our vote matters. Now, a lot
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: of this happened because of the pandemic, because in the
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: death of George Floyd Aubrey, Brianna Taylor, so many others,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: the world was sitting still for the first time and
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: saw what we had been seeing for years without the
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: edition of social media. So we sat here and watched
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: America watched what we had been watching from our porches
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: and apartment windows and homes for years. They got a
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: chance to see how police really treat us. And then
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: the athletes that entertain us, the grassroot people, the teachers,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: everybody got behind this Black Lives movement. These young people
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: that came out here for Black Lives movement really really mattered.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: And then we found out that they wanted to tell
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: us that our lives really don't matter, that it's blue
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: lives that matter, that it's white lives that matter, that
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: it's everybody else life's matter. But hours when they never
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: even heard the original message, and what it was was,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: we're not saying our lives matter more. We just wanted
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: to matter like everybody else's life. But you refuse to
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: give us that. So then everybody banned together. Colin Kaepernick
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: was right when he kneeled, and you reversed that. And
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: you've tried to hijack every cause we've had the President
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: of the United States standing up saying that this is
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: a Marxist organization and that it's from communist roots. We
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: ain't even got time for that. We got our own problems.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: We prove them all wrong. We voted, and we proved
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: that not only do black lives matter, our vote matters,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and we now determine who sits in office, and we
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: will continue to matter, and we're going to matter even
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: more and more of the black and brown vote. And
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: now one last thing before I go, I want us
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: as black men to take better clad of our black women.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Let's come to the rescue of our sisters. More critically,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: h Stacy Abrams is under attack from this coach in Tennessee.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Uncle Steve not having it. I'm asking all other men
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: to stand up and start fighting for our queens. We're
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: not gonna let you destroy our queens anymore. So she's
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: off limits, sir from now on, and open up your
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: mouth about her again. Okay, open up your mouth about
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: her again. Get back to for an ass. Let's get
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: back through it. We walked away from it all. I'm saying,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: they understand, don't you come? Why don't you Yeah, you
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: told me it was over with that. She is off
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: limits stock and we're not saying what's gonna happen, But
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: we're not gonna let you do. But you understand. No,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: I'm just saying it now. That ain't what we're doing.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: We're voting now, we're voting now. We can't vote, and
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: what people why we can't do? You change? You know
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: that you go to divide. You come, You're not gonna
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: be in closing remarks next week, promise you. I wasn't
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: trying to be in this. I'm sorry. We're gonna have
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: your mic off next week. Cat, You're gonna learn how
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: to count next week. It's our first week. I don't
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: give a damn. It was a good first week back.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: How about that. Now we got two seconds. Big day,
