- 1:44Speaker 1: them out. Then the water, the water, y'all, come, come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your bad uh huh, I show will good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Y'all listening to the bars, Come on dig me now
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and on it. Steve Harvey got a radio show,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Man on Man on man, grateful for it comes with
- 2:15Speaker 1: a huge amount of responsibility. I didn't really know I
- 2:18Speaker 1: was gonna have to be this responsible, you know, Um,
- 2:22Speaker 1: can I share something with y'all? I started out to
- 2:25Speaker 1: Finally I had gotten on track and was able to
- 2:28Speaker 1: see a way to even pursue my dream. It has
- 2:34Speaker 1: been a long, a long trip that I've been on,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and I've gone through so many phases of it. It
- 2:40Speaker 1: is rewarding along the way to accomplish your dreams. What
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm saying is this, let me let me put it together,
- 2:48Speaker 1: because I got so much running through my head right now.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You know, it's it's one thing to accomplish your dream,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but there's joy in the process of achieving it. See,
- 3:00Speaker 1: some people are so caught up in the goal, the
- 3:05Speaker 1: final goal, that they find no joy, no enjoyment in
- 3:10Speaker 1: the process. If you have found what it is you
- 3:16Speaker 1: want to do and you strike out on that journey,
- 3:20Speaker 1: please understand you are far more blessed than the average
- 3:24Speaker 1: person to know what it is you really want to do.
- 3:29Speaker 1: To find your work in life, your purpose, to find
- 3:34Speaker 1: out what direction you want to go in is such
- 3:38Speaker 1: a blessing. The average person, if you sit down and
- 3:41Speaker 1: talk to them, oftentimes don't have their life on track.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And it'd be some people that you're looking at you
- 3:47Speaker 1: think God are going on because of their appearance, their swagger,
- 3:52Speaker 1: or they walk like it, they talk like it, they
- 3:54Speaker 1: look like it. But if you sit down and talk
- 3:56Speaker 1: to the average person, the average person man does not
- 4:02Speaker 1: know what their purpose is, has not discovered what they
- 4:06Speaker 1: want to do, and have no idea how to get there.
- 4:09Speaker 1: If you are on the other side of that, if
- 4:12Speaker 1: you understand your purpose, if you have an idea of
- 4:16Speaker 1: what you want to be, and you are on your
- 4:18Speaker 1: way there, you are truly blessed. And in that blessing.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You must recognize it as a blessing. You must recognize
- 4:28Speaker 1: the fact that you are on the right side, and
- 4:32Speaker 1: that there should be a sense of accomplishment and a
- 4:36Speaker 1: feeling of pride in you that you are on track
- 4:39Speaker 1: to accomplish your goal. See what used to happen was
- 4:43Speaker 1: sometimes I used to keep my nose so on the
- 4:46Speaker 1: grindstone that I wouldn't even look up and realize. Man, hey, man,
- 4:52Speaker 1: I know you're trying to get here, but steve, hold on, man,
- 4:55Speaker 1: can't you see what you've done so far? Can't you
- 4:59Speaker 1: find just some joy in the process. See, a lot
- 5:02Speaker 1: of us lose the joy of the blessings God has
- 5:05Speaker 1: given us because we're looking at the end. Toot, I
- 5:08Speaker 1: ain't there yet. You on your way. I'm gonna give
- 5:11Speaker 1: you an example. I had a friend who told me
- 5:15Speaker 1: that they wanted to be a million now, and they
- 5:18Speaker 1: asked me some questions and I told him, so they
- 5:21Speaker 1: started the process, and I am telling you, this dude
- 5:26Speaker 1: works extremely hard. So about a year later we were talking.
- 5:33Speaker 1: He had found this business, he had set his goal,
- 5:40Speaker 1: and he was working towards it. Then about two years
- 5:43Speaker 1: later I ran up into him again. We were talking
- 5:45Speaker 1: about it and everything. It's a man really really appreciate
- 5:48Speaker 1: the advice. He said, Man, but this is all jacked up, man,
- 5:52Speaker 1: because I still ain't made that million I was talking about.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I said, well, hey, man, just just keep at it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It's coming. He a, man, keep at it. Man. You
- 6:01Speaker 1: know how long I've been doing this? Been two years now.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I didn't say that to him, but I said
- 6:07Speaker 1: to myself, yeah, two years. He said, Man, I've been
- 6:10Speaker 1: grinding so long. Man, it's just it ain't having it
- 6:12Speaker 1: from me. I said, wait a minute, man, hold on,
- 6:15Speaker 1: hold on. I said, about how much you're making right
- 6:18Speaker 1: now a year? Man, about two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I quit breathing. I said, well, my man, two years
- 6:29Speaker 1: ago you didn't have a clue. Two years later, you're
- 6:34Speaker 1: making a quarter of a million dollars. I said, man,
- 6:38Speaker 1: do you understand how blessed you are? I said, man,
- 6:41Speaker 1: your family was about to get put out two years ago.
- 6:46Speaker 1: You don't bought a house? Yeah, man, but this ain't
- 6:48Speaker 1: the house. I really won't. Ohoa Pardner, WHOA, I got that.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I got that the house you really won't make Mike
- 6:55Speaker 1: call five eight million. I don't know, but Man, y'all
- 6:59Speaker 1: got a house, you're making a payments, you drive it.
- 7:02Speaker 1: You ain't out no more. I said, hold on, man,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you got to stop. I said, you got to stop.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I said, man, because right now, man, you you coming
- 7:08Speaker 1: across as real ungrateful to me. And so he said, man,
- 7:11Speaker 1: why are you tripping like that? Man? Man, you act
- 7:14Speaker 1: like don't nobody want to have nothing but you? I said,
- 7:16Speaker 1: whoa man, where are you going with this conversation? I said, Oh,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I didn't come to you. I just came to you
- 7:20Speaker 1: and ask you how you doing. And I'm trying to
- 7:23Speaker 1: point out to you that the journey that you started on,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that you are on your weight, and you are in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the process of accomplishing your goals. And can you not
- 7:32Speaker 1: feel some joy and some pleasure in your accomplishment. Quit
- 7:36Speaker 1: tripping on the fact that you ain't made a million yet.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You on your way. You don't went from your He thought,
- 7:42Speaker 1: this dude was making fifteen thousand dollars a year. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: making quarter of a million dollars in two years. May
- 7:46Speaker 1: come on, man, can't you see? Can't you see? So
- 7:50Speaker 1: he said eventually a man, I kind of see what
- 7:53Speaker 1: you're saying. But that ain't about nothing to me because
- 7:55Speaker 1: I ran up into him a year and a half later.
- 8:00Speaker 1: How you doing, man, Man, I showed, wish I'd appreciate
- 8:04Speaker 1: it my life when I had it like that? I said,
- 8:06Speaker 1: what you mean? Had it like that? Man? Just fell
- 8:09Speaker 1: on some hard times. Man, I'm right back why I was.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And then we talked. I said, hey, man, don't worry
- 8:15Speaker 1: about it. I said, Once you know how to accomplish something,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I said, you just reapply the same principles and start
- 8:20Speaker 1: on over again. Man, you know how hard it is
- 8:23Speaker 1: to be to start over. Okay, my man, Hold up, partner,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you can't do yourself like this again. First you wasn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: grateful for what you had. Now you're looking at the
- 8:31Speaker 1: fact that you might have to start over, and you
- 8:33Speaker 1: know how hard it is to start over. Maybe God said, okay,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you ain't happy with this. Okay, didn't handle it your way?
- 8:42Speaker 1: You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
- 8:44Speaker 1: into your life. You want to handle it your weight,
- 8:46Speaker 1: Go ahead and handle it because he will let you
- 8:48Speaker 1: have it your way. Can I tell you that he
- 8:51Speaker 1: will let you do it exactly the way you want
- 8:53Speaker 1: to it because he gives us all the power of choice.
- 8:55Speaker 1: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
- 8:58Speaker 1: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: showing you. You think it's take it too long. I'm
- 9:03Speaker 1: gonna let you do it your way. I'm not gonna
- 9:05Speaker 1: turn my back on you. I'm just gonna let you
- 9:07Speaker 1: do it your way. Just just say. Maybe he said that,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and now he right back where it was. So what
- 9:12Speaker 1: I try to get the young cat to understand was, man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: appreciate your life for what it is. Because like life,
- 9:20Speaker 1: Jenny's got that song that he got out off this album.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Still I still believe it could have been worse. And
- 9:26Speaker 1: now that it is worse, what's on your mind now, Folks,
- 9:31Speaker 1: If you are on that side of life where you
- 9:33Speaker 1: have figured out what you want to do, you know
- 9:35Speaker 1: how you're gonna get that, and you know your purpose.
- 9:38Speaker 1: You're accomplishing what the majority of people never ever do.
- 9:41Speaker 1: So be grateful for your process. Don't tumble yourself, don't
- 9:45Speaker 1: throw yourself off to cliff. It's gonna be all right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Success takes a measure of time. It is not easy.
- 9:52Speaker 1: If success were easy, everybody would be successful. You're listening

- 21:27Speaker 1: the CLO Chief Love Officer. Ready for your love questions?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Here we go. This one is from Simone in Birmingham.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Simone says, I work in administration at a hospital and
- 21:38Speaker 1: I hired a young woman for an entry level position.
- 21:41Speaker 1: She presented as very polished and professional, but whenever she
- 21:45Speaker 1: opens her mouth, she wants everyone to know how woke
- 21:50Speaker 1: she is. She loves to bring up civil rights issues
- 21:53Speaker 1: with her white co workers and she's offended. All of
- 21:56Speaker 1: the Trump supporters in the office, even the black employee,
- 22:00Speaker 1: are uncomfortable around her. How can I fix this? You
- 22:04Speaker 1: need brother to inside and go a little sister. Let
- 22:08Speaker 1: me help you out with something or there's a time
- 22:10Speaker 1: and place for everything. She was hired as a what
- 22:13Speaker 1: surely a hospital for entry level position. Now let me
- 22:17Speaker 1: explain something to you. You got everybody around her own edge,
- 22:22Speaker 1: and you're creating an uncomfortable work atmosphere for a lot
- 22:25Speaker 1: of people with your discussions of politics and everything. You
- 22:29Speaker 1: have every right to feel how you feel, vote for
- 22:32Speaker 1: who you want to vote for. You're making your co
- 22:34Speaker 1: workers are uncomfortable with a lot of your stances. Just
- 22:38Speaker 1: asking you to tone it down there. If you all
- 22:40Speaker 1: want to get together and have discussion groups off the
- 22:42Speaker 1: job site, that would be perfectly fine with me. But
- 22:45Speaker 1: while at work, if we could refrain from the discussions
- 22:49Speaker 1: of politics that's causing this discomfort in our office, it
- 22:52Speaker 1: would serve you greatly. If you continue continue to create
- 22:58Speaker 1: what's going to be looked at soon as a hostile
- 23:00Speaker 1: work environment, you will be held accountable for that. Get
- 23:06Speaker 1: your black ass back out there. Don't come back in
- 23:09Speaker 1: here with this and see what I'm talking about. Shut
- 23:12Speaker 1: your damn mouth. See woman doesn't set up here and
- 23:16Speaker 1: hide your ass trying to give you a shot at you,
- 23:18Speaker 1: and he scared all the white fox. I personally don't
- 23:23Speaker 1: give a damn bout the Trump's supporter, but well, we
- 23:26Speaker 1: got to work with him now, right right, all right?
- 23:29Speaker 1: Moving on, Nathan and South Philly says, I'm a fifty
- 23:32Speaker 1: five year old married man and I caught my wife
- 23:34Speaker 1: sitting in her car with another man outside her hair salon.
- 23:38Speaker 1: She took longer than expected and didn't answer her phone,
- 23:41Speaker 1: so I went by the salon. The guy got out
- 23:44Speaker 1: of the car and walked inside the salon. My wife
- 23:47Speaker 1: said he is the owner of the salon, and he
- 23:50Speaker 1: just came out to say hi. I had to go
- 23:52Speaker 1: all weekend with my mind racing. Should I have gone
- 23:55Speaker 1: inside and questioned this guy or not? No, But when
- 24:00Speaker 1: you're sitting in that cardo when I roll up, you
- 24:04Speaker 1: know it might be my wife car. But to trust
- 24:06Speaker 1: and believe though I had something to do with it
- 24:10Speaker 1: being her car. Okay, Yeah, we're gonna handle it in
- 24:18Speaker 1: the parking lot, that's all. I ain't gonna get back
- 24:20Speaker 1: in this. You ain't get it back in it. We
- 24:22Speaker 1: ain't get back in that way. You know where the
- 24:24Speaker 1: good that you're going to stay out here in this
- 24:26Speaker 1: parking lot. You ain't gonna get inside and seeing that
- 24:30Speaker 1: year old you fit fire. You ain't shop no more.
- 24:32Speaker 1: You ain't no how that your mind racing. My mind
- 24:34Speaker 1: ain't gonna be racing. His mind race every time he
- 24:39Speaker 1: come out that salon, his mind gonna get the race.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Every time he opened his card, though, his mind gonna race.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Where is nates At? Where's Nat ass At? I'm gonna
- 24:50Speaker 1: be like Nat turner on a slave owner. You're gonna
- 24:54Speaker 1: be looking for me. I'm coming up the river. Where
- 24:58Speaker 1: is NAT's gonna be your message? I'm not fit to
- 25:02Speaker 1: be the only one. My weekend tossed up your whole
- 25:05Speaker 1: life from here on out? Where the hell is now? Yeah?
- 25:11Speaker 1: All right? Moving on Athena in New Orleans, Closs, I
- 25:15Speaker 1: have three sisters that are very close, but I am
- 25:18Speaker 1: not speaking to them because my oldest sister married a
- 25:21Speaker 1: man that I dated for twelve years. She went behind
- 25:25Speaker 1: my back and slept with him, and he dumped me
- 25:27Speaker 1: for her. My other two sisters knew all along that
- 25:31Speaker 1: they were messing around, and they never told me. This
- 25:34Speaker 1: has been haunting me for years, and now I really
- 25:36Speaker 1: missed my sisters and I want closure. Should I be
- 25:39Speaker 1: the bigger person and contact them? You don't want to
- 25:44Speaker 1: stop talking to them, See, lady, You're trying to create something,
- 25:51Speaker 1: an illusion that you're the bigger person that won't reach
- 25:55Speaker 1: out to them. You stopped talking to your sisters. You
- 25:58Speaker 1: don't even know the whole story, especially from the other
- 26:03Speaker 1: two sisters. Now the other sister that's got the man,
- 26:08Speaker 1: that's where it. Look. You gotta get some closure, got
- 26:11Speaker 1: to reach some type of things, so you can handle that.
- 26:14Speaker 1: But the other sisters, what you're blaming them for? They
- 26:17Speaker 1: didn't tell you what you want them to say. It's
- 26:20Speaker 1: not their fault. So should you be the bigger person?
- 26:23Speaker 1: You do want to walk away from relationship, so quite
- 26:27Speaker 1: naturally you should be the one to go over there saying,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I miss y'all, you know I struggle to get past that.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Where wasn't your man twelve years? Come on now? Twelve
- 26:38Speaker 1: years away? And it ain't lead to manage y'all dated
- 26:41Speaker 1: for twelve years? What is going little ragged ass relationship
- 26:45Speaker 1: you had? Because you ain't got that little ragged as
- 26:47Speaker 1: twelve year golo wee as relationship. It is a tough
- 26:53Speaker 1: blow that that's a tough blow. I'm the unbelievable blow.
- 26:56Speaker 1: If it's your brother, I do I shall I get?
- 27:00Speaker 1: But that's a tough blow. Shouldn't a sister that did
- 27:03Speaker 1: the one to come? I don't know what's wrong with huh?
- 27:09Speaker 1: But you know you should be the bigger one to
- 27:12Speaker 1: go to the other sisters. But like I said, now
- 27:15Speaker 1: that sister that got you. Man, that's where we got
- 27:17Speaker 1: the problem at I don't really know how to work
- 27:20Speaker 1: through that. That's an ass woman. That has to happen.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Oh man, my brother already know what that is. Yeah,
- 27:28Speaker 1: but me and my brother know what that is. But
- 27:30Speaker 1: that had never happened O between them, because that's my brother.
- 27:34Speaker 1: It's my brother, and I don't even know how to
- 27:38Speaker 1: We was raised different exactly keep my brother, man, I
- 27:43Speaker 1: had it happened, the ass woman has to happer. But
- 27:47Speaker 1: that's not gonna happen. In mind, man, that's an impossibility.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Don't do that. I get that's did you guys won't
- 27:56Speaker 1: be fighting because he won't do it. Not my brother, Yeah,
- 28:01Speaker 1: my brother, my nephew, nephew. I got nephew month old
- 28:03Speaker 1: in me. That could never happen between us. It could never.
- 28:07Speaker 1: It's unthinkable. It's impossible, all right, Well, moving on, Wellnda
- 28:13Speaker 1: and Franklin, Tennessee says, when I got married four years ago,
- 28:16Speaker 1: I came into the marriage with credit card debt, and
- 28:18Speaker 1: I've paid most of it. My credit cards are in
- 28:21Speaker 1: our safe and I used them only in case of emergencies.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I was sitting on the back porch earlier and I
- 28:27Speaker 1: got to text alert of suspicious activity on my visa.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I asked my husband if he used my card and
- 28:33Speaker 1: he said he bought an air friar on the card
- 28:35Speaker 1: and he will pay it off asap. Um. Shouldn't he
- 28:39Speaker 1: have asked me before he used my credit card? Or
- 28:41Speaker 1: is this a what's mine is yours type situation? Well?
- 28:45Speaker 1: He need a combination to the safe you know, unless
- 28:50Speaker 1: you got he isn't her safe? Well is the after?
- 28:55Speaker 1: I incaut but that sounds like a nice community practice
- 28:59Speaker 1: because I'm show you use laugh watch all right, thank you, Cello.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:09Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening
- 29:12Speaker 1: to the same show. Drake has finally broken his silence
- 29:19Speaker 1: in the wake of the Astra World Festival. Drake says,
- 29:22Speaker 1: I've spent the past few days trying to wrap my
- 29:25Speaker 1: mind around this devastating tragedy. My heart is broken for
- 29:29Speaker 1: the families and friends of those who lost their lives,
- 29:32Speaker 1: and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to
- 29:35Speaker 1: pray for all of them and will be of service
- 29:37Speaker 1: in any way I can. That's from Drake. Meanwhile, the
- 29:42Speaker 1: lawsuits against Travis Scott are piling up, including one from
- 29:45Speaker 1: the family of a nine year old victim who's currently
- 29:48Speaker 1: fighting for his life. Ezra Blount was nearly trampled to
- 29:52Speaker 1: death during the chaos that ensued at Energy Park. His
- 29:56Speaker 1: family has retained the services of Ben Crump for the
- 29:59Speaker 1: lit negation. According to the paperwork Crump filed on the
- 30:03Speaker 1: child's behalf, Ezra was kicked, stepped on, and trampled as
- 30:07Speaker 1: people around him were lifting up unconscious bodies of friends
- 30:10Speaker 1: and strangers and surf them over the top of the crowd,
- 30:14Speaker 1: hoping to send them to safety. Meanwhile, Energy Park has
- 30:18Speaker 1: an insurance policy that'll pay out up to twenty six
- 30:22Speaker 1: million dollars. Oh that's yes, yeah, Energy Park, I'm telling you.
- 30:29Speaker 1: But now I don't know if they're releasing the paperwork
- 30:32Speaker 1: on who he's suing. But Live Nation got problem, thought,
- 30:36Speaker 1: Yeah they do. Energy Park got a problem. All all
- 30:42Speaker 1: the big boys behind this got a problem, y'all. Quit
- 30:44Speaker 1: point of friends at Travis Scott and Drake and all
- 30:47Speaker 1: this here, y'all, y'all can stop all that because they
- 30:50Speaker 1: so far down the food chain in this. Because I'm
- 30:56Speaker 1: telling you how this works. Man. Now unless it's his company. Yeah, see,
- 31:01Speaker 1: unless it's his company. And trust me, Live Nation is
- 31:06Speaker 1: the big boys. They're the big boys, the biggest. So
- 31:12Speaker 1: they got they got a major problem. My lawyer told me.
- 31:15Speaker 1: We were talking about it the other day. My lawyer said,
- 31:17Speaker 1: trust me, Live Nation lawyers ain't been to sleep because
- 31:22Speaker 1: you haven't heard much from them or about them. You
- 31:25Speaker 1: know your statement. So surely they're so busy. Oh but
- 31:35Speaker 1: it is. I really feel bad for I feel bad
- 31:38Speaker 1: for all the victims. But a child. But now, let
- 31:41Speaker 1: me say something to adults. Let me say something to
- 31:44Speaker 1: adults that have children. Your children can't go everywhere just
- 31:49Speaker 1: because they want to, that's true. Yeah. And this man
- 31:55Speaker 1: had the little boy on his shoulders, on the shoulders
- 31:58Speaker 1: so he could see the concert. It's a brother and
- 32:02Speaker 1: the little boys, the nine year old, and he I
- 32:06Speaker 1: think the father fell, Yeah, it had to. Yeah, then
- 32:09Speaker 1: that's how his son, father protect his son. I'm sure that. Yeah,
- 32:14Speaker 1: of course, I'm sure of that. I'm sure his brother
- 32:17Speaker 1: right here did everything in his power. Yeah. That's a
- 32:20Speaker 1: hard fall of that boy up there on his shoulders. Yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 1: that's so sad, horrible. That's what some of the reports say,
- 32:28Speaker 1: all right, m we're gonna switch gears here. Talk about
- 32:32Speaker 1: some celebrities that are breaking up. This couple is a
- 32:35Speaker 1: hip hop producer and reality stars Stevie J and his
- 32:39Speaker 1: wife Faith Evans. Well, they've called it quits after only
- 32:42Speaker 1: three years of marriage. Stevij put in the paperwork, yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 1: at a Los Angeles County Superior court. It's unclear just
- 32:50Speaker 1: what promoted the split between Faith and Stevie J, but
- 32:55Speaker 1: the marriage started off a bit rocky. Last year, Faith
- 32:58Speaker 1: was reportedly arrested for domestic violence for allegedly attacking Stevie.
- 33:02Speaker 1: This will be the second divorce for Faith and the
- 33:05Speaker 1: first for Stevie. That's sad. Well, I met them out
- 33:10Speaker 1: at this function. I was at out in Beverly Hills,
- 33:12Speaker 1: and yeah, I just really liked her because I always
- 33:14Speaker 1: liked Stevie Ja, yes character, and now I've always liked Faith,
- 33:19Speaker 1: so I thought I thought they looked good together. But
- 33:21Speaker 1: you know, yeah, it happens. I'm back over here theaepid Day,
- 33:25Speaker 1: Come on back, I'm a day. I'm all right moving on.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Carlos is here with today's music news. What you got Carlo, Well,
- 33:41Speaker 1: we just want to give a shout out guys to
- 33:42Speaker 1: Missy Elliott. She received her own star on the Hollywood
- 33:47Speaker 1: Walk of Fame. So yeah, I love me some Missy,
- 33:50Speaker 1: miss Nina Elliott. She did a speech and she showed
- 33:54Speaker 1: love to her sisters in hip hop, the women she
- 33:56Speaker 1: called godmothers, Queen Latifa, you know the just moony love
- 34:00Speaker 1: Angie Stone, Rock Say and Chantey Yo Yo mc light,
- 34:05Speaker 1: Salton Pepper and you know, Missy showed them all love
- 34:08Speaker 1: and then she praised them as the backs that we
- 34:11Speaker 1: stand on in the foundation of you know, women, female
- 34:14Speaker 1: mcs and hip hop and producers. And Missy also thanked
- 34:18Speaker 1: her fans. Uh Sierra was there with her. So it
- 34:22Speaker 1: was really really nice, so much deserved. So shout out
- 34:25Speaker 1: to Missy Elliott. Get your Hollywood Yeah like cool to

- 41:06Speaker 1: You know, we've done these Strawberry letters a few ways.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Remember we were doing them live sometimes and then remember
- 41:12Speaker 1: we would get the people on the phone. But these
- 41:14Speaker 1: are real letters. I know, I know people think we
- 41:16Speaker 1: make these letters up, but we don't. These are very
- 41:19Speaker 1: real letters. And these letters get a little bit you know,
- 41:22Speaker 1: remember that time we had that oh lord, we had
- 41:26Speaker 1: that all lady that was dating the pastor and they
- 41:32Speaker 1: found out about it because they just was listening to
- 41:34Speaker 1: the show and it just didn't make it made sense
- 41:36Speaker 1: that their church together. Yeah yeah, yeah, and all hell
- 41:41Speaker 1: broke loose. So we had stopped doing live Strawbay letters
- 41:45Speaker 1: because it was getting live. Yeah, it was some people
- 41:50Speaker 1: going up there adding some mode to the story. So
- 41:52Speaker 1: we had to stop doing that. But I would like
- 41:54Speaker 1: to do some follow ups. We've had some follow ups,
- 41:58Speaker 1: so that's an interesting concept we would I wish we
- 42:01Speaker 1: could reach out to maybe Mississippi Monica could reach out
- 42:05Speaker 1: to the letter writer and just say, hey, we love
- 42:07Speaker 1: to know how it worked out for you on Thanksgivings
- 42:10Speaker 1: follow up let us know. So Steph Walker, We're gonna
- 42:13Speaker 1: look into that and see if we make that happen.
- 42:15Speaker 1: YEA cool? All right, let's go to line at two
- 42:20Speaker 1: and talk to Foster and Pensacola High Steem. My name
- 42:23Speaker 1: is Foster Smith in Pensacola, Florida. I'm so glad you
- 42:27Speaker 1: saw that up about Michael Jordan. There shouldn't be no
- 42:29Speaker 1: debate by Michael Jardon Lebron Jane. Michael Jordan is the
- 42:33Speaker 1: greatest that devil put some tennis. Michael Dron was a
- 42:37Speaker 1: musty player after his second year in the NBA day
- 42:41Speaker 1: his whole career. Thank you, because, man, like you know,
- 42:51Speaker 1: I was sitting here and I was listening to the debate,
- 42:54Speaker 1: and I was listening because Lebron's a great player, man
- 42:57Speaker 1: and done and his and his off the field is
- 43:01Speaker 1: even even more accomplishing. If not, that's great, But and
- 43:07Speaker 1: I was thinking of he's won titles at the Lakers,
- 43:09Speaker 1: he's won a title down in Miami, and he's won
- 43:12Speaker 1: Titling Cleave. That's sheer greatness. When everywhere you go you
- 43:17Speaker 1: can manage to put a team together on your back
- 43:21Speaker 1: and lead him to the promised Land. That's impressive. But
- 43:25Speaker 1: when I look at the footage of the tape and
- 43:28Speaker 1: I see the skill set that both these players possessed,
- 43:34Speaker 1: and I was alive and old enough to witness both
- 43:37Speaker 1: of them in my prime, because I'm in my prime
- 43:39Speaker 1: now and was in my Prime Prime Nen. I justn't
- 43:42Speaker 1: had no money. Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player
- 43:50Speaker 1: to ever damn drivel period. Now you argue whoever you want,
- 43:57Speaker 1: if you want to, I'm saying what I said. You
- 44:00Speaker 1: ain't got no radio showy Alright, you have something to say,
- 44:13Speaker 1: call Steve's voicemail at eight seven seven twenty nine. Steven,
- 44:16Speaker 1: please leave a message coming up next to nephew with
- 44:18Speaker 1: today's frank phone call. Right after this. You're listening to
- 44:22Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top
- 44:26Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:28Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today. The subject my ex paid for
- 44:32Speaker 1: my grandma's funeral. We'll get into that in just a bit,
- 44:36Speaker 1: but right now it is a nephew here with today's
- 44:39Speaker 1: frank phone call. What you got for is nef ah.
- 44:42Speaker 1: You know, I don't know how to say it. Let
- 44:45Speaker 1: me find the right words, because I wanted to sound affectionate. Uh,
- 44:50Speaker 1: your wife as fine as heil. I'm gonna beat your
- 44:57Speaker 1: play this ragged ass Penny. I wish you this or
- 45:01Speaker 1: something like that. Your wife. Let hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 45:09Speaker 1: to reach Daryl. Yeah, this is Darrel Hors this and
- 45:11Speaker 1: tell how you're doing. My name is Alonzo man. I
- 45:14Speaker 1: um for liquor distributing company. I do a district liquid distribution.
- 45:18Speaker 1: How you doing today? I'm pretty good. I'm pretty good man.
- 45:21Speaker 1: What can I do for you? Hey, we're putting together
- 45:24Speaker 1: a big, big event man with vodka and they're throwing
- 45:30Speaker 1: a They're throwing a huge pool party. And like I say,
- 45:33Speaker 1: I've been I'm in the liquor business man. I've been
- 45:35Speaker 1: doing it for for quite some years now. And you know,
- 45:38Speaker 1: we're always trying to do different type of publicity and
- 45:42Speaker 1: really get to hype up. And what we're trying to do, man,
- 45:45Speaker 1: is really get people to come out to this fashion party.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Because it's the first quarter twenty twenty. We wanted to
- 45:50Speaker 1: be a one to remember. And uh, I know the
- 45:55Speaker 1: no no no, no, no, no no no no, you're
- 45:57Speaker 1: I go to the bank, I go to the bank
- 46:00Speaker 1: where your where your wife works at Kindred And Okay,
- 46:06Speaker 1: what we're trying to do is have I mean, we
- 46:08Speaker 1: want our flyer and slash poster to be something really
- 46:12Speaker 1: really memorable, something that's gonna really draw people in. And
- 46:15Speaker 1: you have this, This thing is gonna be all over
- 46:17Speaker 1: social media, the whole nine yards. So we're trying to
- 46:20Speaker 1: see you know, buddy of mine told me that he
- 46:24Speaker 1: kind of knew of you or had a had a
- 46:26Speaker 1: number on you, and I was like, cool, let me
- 46:28Speaker 1: reach out to him. He told me you were Kendra's husband,
- 46:30Speaker 1: So I want my husband. So I don't understand what
- 46:33Speaker 1: my wife's got to do with this whole thing. Okay,
- 46:35Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do is see if you were
- 46:36Speaker 1: cool with Kindred being on our flyer. Man. I mean,
- 46:40Speaker 1: because your wife is finish, so we want to put
- 46:43Speaker 1: her on the flyer. And what you mean my wife
- 46:46Speaker 1: is finish? What do you mean we want? You're gonna
- 46:49Speaker 1: call me up and talk about my wife? Vin, it's
- 46:52Speaker 1: wrong with you, brother, Brother, it's this. It's a respect
- 46:55Speaker 1: thing I'm giving you. I'm giving you crowds. Its crowds,
- 46:57Speaker 1: and I'm giving bucking out what you need man, because
- 47:00Speaker 1: it don't sound right, dude, We're trying to get your wife.
- 47:03Speaker 1: We want to get her to a photo shoot in
- 47:05Speaker 1: a Portini so we can put it how. No, you
- 47:08Speaker 1: ain't using my wife and no Porkini to put on

- 47:14Speaker 1: respect me. Okay, Okay, okay, okay, hold on man, hold on, man,

- 47:26Speaker 1: the you think this is what's wrong with you? Okay, bro, bro,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you know what, Man, I tried to call you and
- 47:32Speaker 1: give you to respect. I mean I'll get out sound
- 47:35Speaker 1: like what? Boy? Well okay, look, I didn't call for
- 47:38Speaker 1: no argument. I just I just talked to Kendra. When
- 47:40Speaker 1: I go to the place, depart and see if she
- 47:42Speaker 1: want to do. Oh oh, he's gonna go to my
- 47:44Speaker 1: wife's job at the bank. That's what you're gonna do. Okay.
- 47:46Speaker 1: I'm just ain't gonna do this because I'll be there too,
- 47:48Speaker 1: and I don't make a deposit with my foot, you know,
- 47:51Speaker 1: go ahead, okay, okay, hold on man. We were playing,
- 47:54Speaker 1: we're playing five thousand dollars for the photos. Okay again,
- 47:57Speaker 1: what you're paying? No amount of money's gonna let me
- 48:01Speaker 1: put my wife, the mother of my children, on the
- 48:04Speaker 1: close to end. No for Kenny, I don't care how
- 48:06Speaker 1: much you can kiss my ass, will let you do that? Okay, Okay, bro, okay,
- 48:12Speaker 1: so I ain't gonna really go back and forth what

- 48:19Speaker 1: well I'm trying to be man to man with you.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Just you know, throw the opportunity at you. Now you
- 48:23Speaker 1: throwing it back up. You was with disrespect. I wouldn't
- 48:26Speaker 1: showing me for my wife to be a side now. No,
- 48:30Speaker 1: I don't want none of that. Okay, man, No, your
- 48:32Speaker 1: wife frying is hell. People are Oh, you need to
- 48:34Speaker 1: quit telling me how fine my wife is. Okay, horder
- 48:39Speaker 1: gave you my phone number in the first place I've got. Hey, man,
- 48:44Speaker 1: evidently that's all Mulling pointed. Just all right, I don't
- 48:47Speaker 1: even matter. Just one the boy day. The issue on
- 48:50Speaker 1: the table is I want to take some pictures of Kenny.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Let me know when you plan on going to my
- 48:55Speaker 1: wife job at the bank. Let me know, and you're
- 48:58Speaker 1: gonna bring your black down there. I can be there. Okay.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Nobody calls another brother a talk about how fine his
- 49:04Speaker 1: wife says Okay, I told you know that you shouldn't
- 49:07Speaker 1: get stopped right there, But you're gonna keep all talking
- 49:11Speaker 1: about my wife. Okay. So let me say this though,
- 49:14Speaker 1: Tommy is the one that said your wife was fine
- 49:16Speaker 1: as hell. That's the one brought all this to our
- 49:18Speaker 1: pitching at the meeting. Tommy is the one that said
- 49:20Speaker 1: your wife was fine as hell. Though, Tommy just Tommy.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Tommy said your wife is fine as hell. That's what
- 49:29Speaker 1: Tommy can get hit too. Who is Tommy? You don't
- 49:32Speaker 1: you take your wife to work in the morning. Let
- 49:35Speaker 1: me know, and you're gonna bring your black down there? Okay?
- 49:38Speaker 1: And I wat y'all be what y'all be listening to
- 49:40Speaker 1: on the way to work? What radio station y'all be
- 49:43Speaker 1: listening to? We've been listening to Matthew Tommy, Baby, see
- 49:54Speaker 1: harm mister, you wouldn't aboudy to get y'all. Hey, man,
- 50:03Speaker 1: your wife kender got me to prank you, bro wait

- 50:17Speaker 1: She told me, she said, we listen to y'all every
- 50:20Speaker 1: morning on the way to work. He drops me off
- 50:22Speaker 1: and he goes to work. She said, Tommy, you've got
- 50:24Speaker 1: to get it. I said, you gotta let me know
- 50:26Speaker 1: what what do he love them most? She say me,
- 50:32Speaker 1: I don't know about that right now. After it's a man,
- 50:36Speaker 1: a man we love you back, baby, keep listening to
- 50:38Speaker 1: the steam off and morning. So tell me this problem.
- 50:40Speaker 1: What is the baddest radio show in the land? Man?
- 50:43Speaker 1: What is it? Darrel? It's Steve Harvey with nephew Tommy.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Come on, baby me tell me. His reaction was pure
- 50:55Speaker 1: right off the dribble, because Doc, I'm telling you when
- 51:00Speaker 1: you go man and you go, your wife is fine.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Hell Wait a minute, look hook up. Wait you thought
- 51:10Speaker 1: you could walk up to me and say that, because now,
- 51:13Speaker 1: if this is the statement you picked to say to me, yeah,
- 51:17Speaker 1: I can't even imagine what's running through your rabbit air mind.
- 51:21Speaker 1: But but you thought the compliment it your wife find
- 51:24Speaker 1: his hell? Bro? Me and you me and you got
- 51:28Speaker 1: an instant problem. And like he said, what man calls
- 51:31Speaker 1: another man to go? Man? Your wife findes hell? Dog. Yeah,
- 51:37Speaker 1: it's a compliment. It's all you said it like he
- 51:41Speaker 1: was gonna say, ain't she right? Your wife find she
- 51:48Speaker 1: find You're at the club and the bottle girl go by, man,
- 51:52Speaker 1: that little girl, that little bottle girl finding here? Who
- 51:55Speaker 1: I see you? Man? Your wife find his hell? What?
- 52:03Speaker 1: Ain't that a compliment? Though? No, Tommy, it's an insult.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Because if if you if all you can must up
- 52:11Speaker 1: to me where you can't even contain yourself to have
- 52:14Speaker 1: that thought to yourself. You guys, to let that much out.
- 52:17Speaker 1: It's called this way deeper than that. I just don't
- 52:25Speaker 1: I'm beinna give you five thousand dollars. Man, I don't
- 52:28Speaker 1: care what you the mother my children. Okay, but what
- 52:33Speaker 1: about flying No, but KINNI, I'm not supposed to say
- 52:37Speaker 1: your wife ain't fine at all? Your wife looks straight crazy.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I mean, I mean that's better. That's better because that's
- 52:45Speaker 1: your opinion. They say everybody in Jackson will be a
- 52:48Speaker 1: Florida You know fine, I'm fine. I ain't gonna say
- 52:54Speaker 1: I ain't gonna say that. I ain't gonna say that.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I will say this. I will say this. They're coming

- 54:03Speaker 1: read this one right here, right now, and you never know,
- 54:05Speaker 1: it could be yours. And we're looking for those follow
- 54:07Speaker 1: ups too, if the situation has been resolved or there's
- 54:12Speaker 1: more to the story, whatever, we went to jail after all.
- 54:16Speaker 1: It is we gotta fight here. It is Strawberry letter,
- 54:21Speaker 1: all right, newew thank you, subject my ex paid for
- 54:24Speaker 1: my grandma's funeral. Here's Stephen Shirley I am engaged to
- 54:27Speaker 1: a man that I work with. We both teach elementary school,
- 54:31Speaker 1: and when he transferred to my school, it was love
- 54:33Speaker 1: at first sight for me. At the time, I had
- 54:36Speaker 1: only been divorced a few months and my ex husband
- 54:39Speaker 1: was still pursuing me and trying to work things out.
- 54:42Speaker 1: He cheated on me more than a few times, and
- 54:45Speaker 1: when we were married, so I divorced him. He didn't
- 54:49Speaker 1: contest anything and I got whatever I asked for because
- 54:52Speaker 1: he is still in love with me. I have our
- 54:55Speaker 1: family home sitting on three acres, and he let me
- 54:57Speaker 1: have both our dogs. I lost respect for him every
- 55:01Speaker 1: time I heard a rumor of him cheating, and I'm
- 55:04Speaker 1: much happier divorced. Now. Fast forward to when I met
- 55:07Speaker 1: my fiance and we became inseparable in no time. My
- 55:11Speaker 1: ex husband was overbearing and used his money to try
- 55:14Speaker 1: to lure me back in. He bought me a range
- 55:17Speaker 1: Rover last year for my birthday, and I could not
- 55:19Speaker 1: tell my fiance this, so the car is still at
- 55:22Speaker 1: my ex's house. When we first got engaged, I was
- 55:25Speaker 1: honest with my fiance about my ex's extravagant gifts so
- 55:29Speaker 1: he wouldn't find out later and be upset. He told
- 55:32Speaker 1: me that I do not set boundaries with my ex
- 55:35Speaker 1: because I liked the attention. I told him I would
- 55:38Speaker 1: do better. Then, my grandma died. She and my ex
- 55:42Speaker 1: husband were very close, so I knew he'd be at
- 55:45Speaker 1: the funeral. My fiance and my fiance and I went
- 55:48Speaker 1: to her funeral, and as soon as a service came
- 55:50Speaker 1: to an end, my grandfather stood up and thanked my
- 55:53Speaker 1: ex husband for paying for everything. My fiance was furious,
- 55:58Speaker 1: so we skipped the repast. I tried to control the
- 56:01Speaker 1: situation by calling my X and telling him to stop
- 56:04Speaker 1: coming around my family. My fiance told me that we're
- 56:08Speaker 1: going to pay my ex husband back for the funeral.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Is my fiance crazy? Why does it matter who paid
- 56:13Speaker 1: for it? Well, you know what, I kind of think
- 56:16Speaker 1: this is a problem that doesn't have to be. I mean,
- 56:19Speaker 1: you have two men who are fighting over you and
- 56:21Speaker 1: fighting for your attention. Really, but your ex if you're divorced,
- 56:26Speaker 1: I mean, he needs to let go. If he was
- 56:29Speaker 1: married to you and had you and then he started cheating,
- 56:32Speaker 1: you know, that's on him. You clearly have moved on
- 56:35Speaker 1: and he should too. It's too late for him now.
- 56:38Speaker 1: When he was married to you. Like I said, he
- 56:39Speaker 1: blew it. He lost in this situation. He's not dealing
- 56:43Speaker 1: with reality. He's in denial. I think right now he
- 56:46Speaker 1: created this problem. I do think your fiance was out
- 56:50Speaker 1: of line making you miss your grandmother's repast. He was
- 56:53Speaker 1: in his feelings looking at this situation to me all
- 56:56Speaker 1: the way wrong. I'm with you on this one. What
- 56:59Speaker 1: difference does it make who pays for the funeral? You
- 57:02Speaker 1: can't control what your ex does, and you said that
- 57:05Speaker 1: he and your grandmother were very close and apparently your
- 57:07Speaker 1: grandfather appreciated it. I think it's stupid to spend money
- 57:12Speaker 1: to pay your ex back. That's just stupid to me.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Your fiance shouldn't be trying to prove anything, not to you,
- 57:18Speaker 1: not to him. He's saying he's going to pay your
- 57:21Speaker 1: ex back. I think that's just his ego getting in
- 57:24Speaker 1: the way. Funerals are not cheap, okay, so you know
- 57:28Speaker 1: you could spend that money on something else. He doesn't
- 57:31Speaker 1: have to flex your your new fiance. He's already got
- 57:33Speaker 1: the prize and the prizes you as far as the cargoes.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Just let his stay where it is and your ex's garage,
- 57:40Speaker 1: and I say, go on and live your life with
- 57:42Speaker 1: your fiance and don't let your ex get in the
- 57:44Speaker 1: way of your happiness. Steve, surely, Yes, it's a man
- 57:50Speaker 1: problem right here. I know, I know it is. Don't
- 57:52Speaker 1: worry about it. See it's a lot of man law
- 57:55Speaker 1: in hell. There's a lot of codes in Hell, a
- 57:59Speaker 1: lot of ego in Hill, a lot of flexing in hill.
- 58:04Speaker 1: It's some power struggling here, and there's some trying to
- 58:12Speaker 1: stand up and do some pushback. It's all of this.
- 58:15Speaker 1: But all this is man problem because the woman in
- 58:17Speaker 1: this letter is correct and perfect. I see no flaw
- 58:21Speaker 1: in this woman right here. I really don't. I'm engaged
- 58:24Speaker 1: to a man that I worked with. We both teach
- 58:26Speaker 1: elementary school, and when he transferred to my school, it
- 58:28Speaker 1: was love at first sight for me. At the time,
- 58:31Speaker 1: I had only been divorced a few months. What happens
- 58:34Speaker 1: is when people get divorced, they don't know what love
- 58:36Speaker 1: gonna come along. So anybody walked through to do it
- 58:38Speaker 1: look like love right away. This happens to be real.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Though he cheated on me, excuse me, You've only been
- 58:46Speaker 1: divorced a few months and the ex husband was still
- 58:49Speaker 1: pursuing me. This is important information trying to work things out.
- 58:54Speaker 1: He cheated on me more than a few times when
- 58:57Speaker 1: we were married, so I divorced him. He didn't come
- 59:00Speaker 1: test anything, and I got whatever I asked for because
- 59:03Speaker 1: he's still in love with me. This is a love
- 59:07Speaker 1: story going bad, y'all. This is a man who has
- 59:13Speaker 1: lost the best thing ever happened to him, and he
- 59:16Speaker 1: wanted back. I ain't mad at him. Now we have
- 59:20Speaker 1: a problem because he gave you your family home sitting
- 59:24Speaker 1: on three acres, and he let me have both our dogs.
- 59:29Speaker 1: I lost respect for him every time I heard a
- 59:31Speaker 1: room of him cheating, and I'm much happier divorced. Well,
- 59:35Speaker 1: you sound like it, and you need to keep that
- 59:37Speaker 1: in mind. Fast forward to when I met my fiance.
- 59:40Speaker 1: We became insuperabowl in no time. Now. My ex hundred
- 59:45Speaker 1: was overbearing and used his money to try to lure
- 59:47Speaker 1: me back in. That's what it's for. That's what that's
- 59:54Speaker 1: what me and become powerful to use a power. What
- 59:57Speaker 1: good is power if you don't wield it. You gotta wielded.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: He bought me a range Rover last year for my birthday,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: and I could not tell my fiance this, so the
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: car is still in my ex's house. You're a good woman.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: You are a good woman. I told you. I can't
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: find no fault in this lady. Right here, you left
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: that range from Hey, ain't many women gonna lead that
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: range rover that driveway? Not right, but you did it
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: to keep the peace, and I admire you. All right,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: we'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the our subject of today's Strawberry
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: letter and my ex paid for my grandma's funeral. We'll
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. The subject my ex paid for my
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: grandma's funeral. We ain't got to that part yet, but
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: we're dealing with some man stuff here. This is man law, man, code, man, flexing, power, struggles,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: all this here, self esteem, This is all this in
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: this letter. Shirley couldn't tell you because she don't know
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: all these man ruthe and what Shirley said was fine.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: But Shirley liked this woman in this letter. I can't
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: find no flaw with this woman in this letter because
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: this woman is absolutely doing the right things. She's been divorced.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Her husband cheated on him, he ruined it. She's happier
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: being divorced without him. She met a new man at
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: a job. They both elementary school teachers. This is gonna
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: come into play. He's told the X about he's told
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: the fiance about the X and extravagant gifts. Doing the divorce.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: The man gave her everything, the house on three acres,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: both the dogs, everything, because he still loved the woman.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: He messed up. He trying to get her back. She
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: says her ex husband was overbearned and he used his
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: money to try to lure me back in, as he should,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: because that's what it's for. What is power unless you wielded.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: I ain't mad at the husband, the ex husband, so
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: he bought you a range Rover last year from my birthday,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: and you couldn't tell your fiance this. So the car
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: is still at my ex's house. You're a smart lady.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: You're a smart lady. When we first got engaged at
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: here's the part. I was honest with my fiance, who
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: is the school teacher, about my ex husband's extravagant gifts.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: So he wouldn't find out later and be upset. He
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: told me that I do not sound set boundaries with
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: my ex because I liked the attention. I told him
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I do better. Well, it's you know, it's amazing when
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: people say that you should set boundaries with another person.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: You really can't make another person do nothing. If you
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: could make him do right, he wouldn't. You wouldn't. He
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: wouldn't have been cheating on you in the first place.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: You can't make people do stuff, And it's a little
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: bit unfair of mister school teacher sir that you talking about.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: You don't set no boundaries. She got boundaries, She don't
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: take the gills, but she can't stop everything because he
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: flexing on you. Dog, You know what this is now.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Then my grandma died. She and my ex husband were
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: very close, so I knew he'd be at the funeral,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: my fiance, said, fiance saying, I went to her funeral,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: and as soon as the service came to an end,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: my grandfather stood up and thanked my ex husband for
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: paying for everything. Okay, that's honorable. He thanked another man
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: for stepping up burying his wife, because that's what men do.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: I think It was really admirable of your ex husband.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: But he's always showing that he's dead. But he paid
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: for that funeral, so you could see he paid for
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: the funeral because he tried to get you back, so
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: he didn't know. You don't want to range Rover, I'm
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: gonna pay for your dear grandmother's funeral. Everything. The grandfather,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: he don't know what's going on behind the story with y'all.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: So he stands up and he thanks the man after
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: funeral because he's going wild. This boy didn't have to
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: do this now. He didn't even date my granddaughter no more.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: And that's true. My fiance was furious, so we skipped
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: the repass. Pete probably want to go over there because
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: they repairs. I promise he repass was nice because he
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: paid for the funeral. Oh they got a steaking lops
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: over there. They got a chef had to repass. Oh
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: it's finn to be ball loved. He finned set the
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: repass out. The repass gonna look like a d Waden reception.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: And your boyfriend knew we cannot go to this repass
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: because he didn't clowned over there too. I be damned.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Who got this big gass cake up in here this repairs?
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Who in the hell got a chocolate fountain at the repair? Ex?
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Her ex husband flexing? Now we gotta eagle problem because
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: he hadn't told you you don't say boundaries. He hadn't
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: told you he ain't go into the repass. Then you,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: being a decent lady, you try to control the situation
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: by calling your X and telling him to stop coming
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: around your family. You've done everything you can, but you
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: aren't going to stop this grown man because he trying
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to get you back. My fiance told me that we
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: are going to pay my ex husband back for the funeral?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Is my fiance crazy? What doesn't matter who paid for it?
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Really shouldn't matter who paid for it. But see he
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: got your ex making him look bad as all he
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: thinking because he a school teacher. He couldn't come up
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: with the money for the funeral because school teachers are
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: the most underserved, underpaid people in our community. And a
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: great man is he? I bet you he is? But
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: that school teacher salary got some things going on that's
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: limiting him to flex it and arrange rovers range rover
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: and the funeral. Now, unless we're gonna put Grandma in
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: the back. Could have arranged, Rob, we got some double
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: summit this up. You know what, you stop the school teacher. Now,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: we'd have had to put grandmama in the range roll
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: that's gonna be where the funeral. That in the back
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: of the range rover, that's gonna be, had to double
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: up as the casket, and we're gonna have to drive
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: that off into just into the ocean, and just your
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: mama have an ass sea burial. Okay, is this really
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: what you want to say? That's exactly what I wanted
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: to say. Not really, because there's nothing this school teacher
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: can do with this man's money. He gonna had to
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: grow up and get past it. And now he can't
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: afford to pay this back. If you pay this back,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: y'all ain't gonna be able to get that house or
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: nothing else y'all want? All right? Thank you, Steve. Post
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: your comments on today's Struwberry Letter at Steve Harvey you
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: f Femine, Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strubberry
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Letter podcast on demand. They're coming up at forty six
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: minutes after the hour from the talk. It is our
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: girl Cheryl Underwood. Right after this, you're listening all right.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Come on, Steve introduced our girl from the Talk ladies, gentlemen,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: come on now, Sheryl Underwood. Thank you, Steve Harvey. You know,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: but it is Veteran's Day and I want to shout
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: out all the veterans out there in the world. You know,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: I think we started the week then we started the week.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Colifl describe areas laying a strong veteran to rest the dynamic.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Amazing General Cola Power, coldest brother, yes, bad in a
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: super baby should have ran for president. We wouldn't be
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: dealing with the dude in the Republican Party we got now.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I think Cola Power had the man. He was cold brother,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: you know. And see for me, I shout out the
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: veterans because you know, black people when we came over here,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: some of us was free, Some of us was not Tommy,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: you know, Steve, uh you, Julius, you know. But we
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: fought in every war to try to prove our dedication
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: and love to this country that didn't always love us so.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: But but to put a uniform on, to stand up
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: for this flag in this constitution, it was an honor.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: It was an honor. So we saluted all vestans out
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: there and do y'all remember in roots when the veterans
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: from World War Two and World War One came back
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: and they were not treated with respect. And remember the
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Great Stand Show was one of this. He's a good
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: but the bomb actor you know him? Uh Steve and
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Tommy now from Harlem Knights, he was the boxer. He
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: was a boxer. And to take this, but they were
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: veterans that had got together to stand up for themselves,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: and they were World War One veterans. And I really
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: just want to salute veterans, especially when we put on
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the uniform whatever branch of service. When you talk about Army, Navy,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Air Force, Marines, and even the coast Guard, that means
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: that we understand that we are sophisticated enough to understand
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: that we fight for this country and we love this country,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: and we can be laying under a black commander in chief,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: President Barack Obama. That and then when they made President
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Barack Obama, I commanded chief. I was so so proud.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: So I just want to say Happy Veteran's Day to
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: all the veterans out there. And I wanted to join
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: the military because I saw a picture of my father
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: and all of his brothers wearing their army uniform and
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: a special shout out. Now, this is my stepfather, John Chappelle,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: who married my mother. He was stationed at Offen Air
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Force Base. That's how I got to Castle Air Force Base,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: which brought me to California and the rest is history.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: And I was in the Air Force Reserve at Travis
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Air Force Base and O'Hare, Phil. So we are saluting
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: all veterans out there today. We salute you on this
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Veteran's Day. Well, thank you for your service. Ryl, thank you,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. I love being it man. I
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: love being a military man. I didn't think I could
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: run a mile. Whoo chat listen, motivated, motivated, I'm like, whoa,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: this is what we gonna do. Air date. All right, Cheryl,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: We're going to talk about traveling. Right after this. You're
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Kyle Rittenhouse, the
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: armed Illinois teenager who killed two people and wounded another
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, took the stand yesterday to
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: testify in his own defense in his trial on homicide charges.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: All right, so here's what happened in court, Rittenhouse took
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: the stand right. He says he did nothing wrong. Rittenhouse
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: defended his actions in Kenosha in the wake of the
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: protests related to the police shooting of Jacob Blake in
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: August of last year. Remember they shot Jacob Blake seven
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: times in the back. This happened in August of last year.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Rittenhouse told the court. I didn't do anything wrong. I
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: defended myself. He's a teenager. It also said that he
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: didn't intend to kill anyone, but agreed he used deadly
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: force that night. It was a very emotional testimony if
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: you had a chance to see it. Rittenhouse broke down
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: on the stand while describing the night of the shooting,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: prompting the judge to call a ten minute recess. Rittenhouse
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: says he was ambushed. Rittenhouse testify that Joseph Rosenbaum, who
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: he shot and killed, had threatened to kill him, and
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: he said he came out from behind the car and
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: ambushed me. Well, the interesting thing about it was, this
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: is the first time I've seen the video, and I
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: just happened to watch some of them, and I watched
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: all the clips. I didn't know it had went down
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: like that. I just didn't remember Steve. That was from
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: the last year. No, no, no, no, yeah, no, I
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: know we talked about it. I never saw the footage.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: This is the first time I saw footag was doing
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: the trial. The prosecutor presented the footage. Now, I don't
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: know how. I didn't even realize that he had killed
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: the two people in two separate places. So this dude
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: just on one yeah, and he talking about they said
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: get him, getting him. Wait a minute, man, First of all,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: you're not a police officer, right, But I'm just watching
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the footage of how he killed these two people. At
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: no point in time did anyone point a gun at him,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: At no point in time. Why is he there? It
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: doesn't make any He there cross state lines to get there.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: He's from Illinois to start trouble. That's why he took
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: his gun. He took a k How how you on
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: film shooting two people one man unarmed? You shot an
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: unarmed man, you say, because he was charging you, and
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: what what are you talking about? And his testimony was
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: very dramatic too. You know, Y got no time for that.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: But in the drama, the actor the Oscars, I didn't
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: think he would be on the stand. I didn't think
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: that was his defense. That was risky though, because we've
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: never seen that, so it might. But I'm gonna tell
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you something. I saw enough. What well, Okay, let me
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: start this two ways. I saw enough where I know
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: for a fact, if this boy was black, he's fitting
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: to get convicted. I know that. It's if you play
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: that tape for me and a black dude has got
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: this gun, I'm going all right, this dude going to jail. Now.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: If you play this tape for me and it's a
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: police officer doing this, the police officer is in trouble,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: but Steve. But but now let me finish. If our
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: seventeen year old white boy does this, and I watched
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: the tape, I'm nervous. But now I saw enough that
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I saw two murders. Yes, but I don't know what
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: these damn generous is gonna see. That's what's crazy to me.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: But if this is a seventeen year old black boy,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: he'd have died that night walking down the street with
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: the acape Thomas with the the police are not allowing
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: that a black dude to be walking around him strapped
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: with a rifle one like that. Come on, man, this
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: white boy with his hat on backwards went there with
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: the intent to be a vigilante. And that's exactly how
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: he added it. He got to go to prison. All right,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: I don't know. Coming up, we'll have more of the
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after. Right after this,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: you're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. The time
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: you decide to lie down for the night and go
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: to sleep may determine how at risk you are to
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: develop heart disease. Research are studying the sleep habits of
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: eighty eight thousand adults over six years found a correlation
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: between bedtime and heart disease. The data is showing that
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: those who went to sleep after eleven pm had a
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: twenty five percent higher risk of cardiovascar cardiovascular disease, and
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: those who dozed off before ten pm were at a
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: twenty four percent higher risk. That led researchers to conclude
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: that the ideal bedtime is between ten and eleven pm.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: The study also found that the risk is higher for
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: women after eleven pm and higher for men before ten pm.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, into bed. We have to get up early,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: that stupid ass. That yeah, a heart attack. Thirty We
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: got a show started ten thirty. I'm just trying to
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: figure out what they're talking about. Yeah. Yeah, the people
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: have different jobs and stuff careers than we. Sound like
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: they got different goals. You out here trying to get it? Man,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I don't know what. I don't know what y'all. Y'all
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: quit talking to me about sneak. Next question. All right,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: play a round of would you rather? At thirty three
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: minutes after? Right after this you're listening to show? All right,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: here we go, guys, would you rather? Would you rather
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: become someone else? Or just stay you? Or just stay you? Yet?
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I can't even know who the other else? Who is else?
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Even if you could pick something, I'll tell you what.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: How about this a better question? If you could pick
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: to be whoever you wanted to be or yourself? Who
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: would you pick? Man? Or would you just stay yourself? Men?
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: You've got to want to change time? Please? What is advantage?
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: What is wrong? Admittedly you stupid? Why would you want
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: to continue? Well? Look where he has gotten me. M
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: thank you for that brought me a mighty long way.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Go ahead, sir, Okay, would your brother explore space, explore
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: the ocean, the ocean space. Scared of both of them.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: I'm scared of them. I can't food with the water man. Lord,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: people have been going into space lately. Yeah, William, it's
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: something down that water. We ain't seen you now, nothing,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: we ain't seen nothing. I'm sure something's face too, but
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: down in that water. Yeah, once you get to space,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: we don't go that far space. We just go right
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: to the moon and back. That's it. We just want
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: to make a you turn. There's a nice little you turn.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: That's all that water space over the ocean. Yeah, okay,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: all right. Would you rather be a kid for your
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: whole life or be an adult your entire life? Adult,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: you'd rather be an adult. You're way more freedom as kids.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Ain't having no damn ocean. Now, I'm not going back
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: saying my daddy house. That's he. Oh you in here
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: changing channels? You work now, excuse me. I know you
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: ain't slamming no dos in here. You don't hold no dope.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: A close that dope for you? Let all out? Yeah. Also,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: if I leave this dobe, then we're gonna stop breathing. Okay,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: you rather be an adult in your entire life? Did
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: you answer Tommy, Yeah, I'm gonna go with adult, but
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: be the size of a child. I would rather he
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: shut up, That's what I would rather. Come on, he
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: kind of he kind of got the best of both.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: We else he's an adult and a child. Come on, sir, Okay, okay,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: all right, all right. Would you rather go on a
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: cruise with your friends or go on a cruise with
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: your spouse? I know what you're going to say, Well,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: I know my wife. No, No, I have the option
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: every year. It's me and my girl. Man. Yeah, hands down.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: You've never gone on a guy's trip on a bump.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: It's been that kind of money. We don't damn. All right,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: coming up in forty nine minutes after the hour, it's
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: the last break of the day. We'll have some closing
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: remarks from Steve Harvey right after this you're listening show.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: day on this Thursday, and we have to say again
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Happy Veterans Day to all of our veterans. Thank you
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: so much for your service. Yes, um yeah, yea. And
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Steve yeah, Uh, here's a philosophy that I live with. Uh,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: it's just something simple. I don't you know. I just
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: try to throw a lot of thought starters out there
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: for people to kind of get you, uh, you know,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: just looking at stuff maybe a little bit differently that
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: might be able to help you in your day to day,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: especially on your journey to becoming successful. And one of
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: the things I don't do, I don't do percentages. I
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: don't do percentages. I don't care about the percentage. And
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: there's a lot of ways I don't do percentages. First
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: of all, let me tell you what statistics are usually
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: involving some type of percentage. One out of every six,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: out of every only one in a million. Some type
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: of statistics usually involve some type of percentage. And that's
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: why I don't do percentage. I'm always one hundred percent
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: in every aspect of my life. I try to give
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: whatever i'm doing one hundred percent. Matter fact, I don't try,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I do it. When I go to work, I give
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: it one hundred percent. If I'm playing golf, no matter
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: how bad that day is gone, and it's a lot
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: of them, I'm giving one hundred percent. When I'm relaxing,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: I'm giving one hundred percent. If I'm motivating somebody, I'm
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: all in one hundred percent. I have no other percentage
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: because I don't do percentages. Man, I'm not gonna let
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: anybody determine my value with a percentage. I'm not gonna
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: deflect or ruin the chances of the outcome being what
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I needed to be by giving less than one hundred percent.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I don't do percentages. I don't care when you come
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: up to me and tell me, why are you're gonna
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: do that type of show? Anybody never did that by
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: show that did that show before. That's one out of
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: every three thousand shows. One out of every twenty thousand
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: comedians were told they would get on the Tonight Show.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: So every night before I walked on stage in comedy clubs,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: I used to hum the Johnny Carson theme, Done Anything Done?
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: I just hummed it. One time a comedian heard me said, hey,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: man's that's the Tonight Show thing? I see? Yeah, because
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: one day, man, I'm gonna get that. He said, Man, yea,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: how hard he is to get on Tonight Show? I said, yeah,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I I don't know. He said, Man, one out of
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: every twenty thousand comedians to ever get on that show. Okay, cool,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: but see it seeing us, I don't care nothing about
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: your percentage the number you said that. I only cared
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: about where you said one. Then my goal was to
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: just be that one. I guess what, I never I
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: never made it to the Johnny Carson Show. I never
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: got there. I did go on the show when Jay
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Lennar was hosting it, called it Tonight Show. I finally
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: made it and me and Jay Lennar was in the
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: back having a conversation about it. He said, Man, how
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: is it that you're not doing Late Night? He said, Man,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: they're missing a boat on you. Man. And how is it, man,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: that this is your first time doing the Tonight Show.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I said, well, I believed I'd always get to the
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Tonight Show. I just thought it would be with Johnny Carson.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: But it's better cause as you, he said, it's better
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: being on the show cause it's me. I said, yeah,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: at least I know you. Because if you know one thing,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I did not care about the percentage one in every
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: twenty thousand. Okay, cool, you did say one, though. See,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: when you believe in percentages, you kill all your hopes
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: for probability. When you go into the probability factor too much,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: you kill all chances at possibility. Did you know what
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: I just said? If you rely on statistics, you ruin
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: your chances for probability. But if you lean too heavy
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: on probability, you kill all your chances of possibility. I
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: didn't care what the stats said. I did don't care
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: about the probability. It not heart is for one in
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: twenty thousand, get there. I only concern myself with the
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: possibility that I could be one. I'm telling you, y'all,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: these things that you keep imagining, these themes that you
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: keep hoping for, these things that you're praying about, these
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: things that you're expiring to, It's gonna happen if you
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: believe it's gonna happen, and you stay the course and
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: you never give up, and you keep the faith and
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: you put in the unrelenting work ethic that's required, which
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: is one hundred percent all the time in all things.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: Listen to me, y'all. Here's the formula. It's one one
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: percent of the time and in one hundred percent of
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: all things. Let me give you the formula again. It's
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: one hundred percent of the time, in one hundred percent
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: all things. If you follow that formula, that is no
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: way you will not be successful. That's a promise of
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: your heavenly father. It's not a theory. God said that
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: if you believe, you shall receive you. And if you
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: put the work ethic with it, you're gonna mess around
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: and half something. Get out of the statistics and get
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: out of percentages. It's only one that matters. If you
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: give one hundred percent, one hundred percent of the time,
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: in one hundred percent of the things you do, you
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: will be successful. And if you put God in the
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: mix of all that, you're about to be a winner. Y'all. Congratulations, Hey,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: y'all hanging there. We'll see y'all tomorrow morning. God knows you,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: and let you do about that, God willing. We'll see
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: y'all tomorrow. For all Steve Harvey contests, no purchase necessary,
