- 3:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on, deeve me now one
- 3:08Speaker 1: and all it Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I want to share something with you that I had
- 3:17Speaker 1: to come to the realization one time and even in
- 3:20Speaker 1: the reinvention of myself right now, I've had to come
- 3:23Speaker 1: to that and I want to share it with you today.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Give it to you. I want to tell you about
- 3:29Speaker 1: something that a lot of people do in their life
- 3:32Speaker 1: and I want you to be aware of it. Here
- 3:35Speaker 1: it is, don't get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You know I said, don't get stuck on yourself. You
- 3:51Speaker 1: could be wrong. You know. The reason I'm saying this
- 3:56Speaker 1: is because people have a tendency to once they make
- 4:02Speaker 1: a decision about something, or once they decide to go
- 4:06Speaker 1: a certain path. They go against all everything, anything anybody says,
- 4:13Speaker 1: anything anybody might do, any other ruling they may come across.
- 4:20Speaker 1: They shun advice, They don't listen to counsel. They just
- 4:28Speaker 1: I made the decision. I'm gonna do it anyway. Don't
- 4:34Speaker 1: get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong, you know.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Now here's a sure fire way to tell if you're wrong.
- 4:45Speaker 1: If you don't see any movement in the direction you've chosen,
- 4:53Speaker 1: if you don't see anything going right in that decision,
- 5:00Speaker 1: If you feel as though you're in a rupt if
- 5:05Speaker 1: the wall you're climbing seems so insurmountable that you ain't
- 5:11Speaker 1: even moving an inch, and every time you turn around
- 5:15Speaker 1: you keep getting knocked by down, knocked back down. Don't
- 5:18Speaker 1: get stuck on yourself. You know you could be wrong,
- 5:20Speaker 1: you know. See, that's why it's important for people to
- 5:25Speaker 1: always be open to the reinvention of yourself. You know,
- 5:30Speaker 1: you cannot be afraid to reinvent yourself. In other words,
- 5:36Speaker 1: you can't be afraid to change. Change is necessary when
- 5:41Speaker 1: it comes to growth. There is no growth without change.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You cannot grow and never change. I'm sorry, it's it's
- 5:53Speaker 1: like from the time you're born, you are constantly growing.
- 5:56Speaker 1: But in that growth, have you not noticed you have
- 5:59Speaker 1: constantly changed. The more you know, oh, listen to this.
- 6:04Speaker 1: The more you know, the older you look. Sorry, sorry,
- 6:13Speaker 1: but there is no growth without change. And I have
- 6:19Speaker 1: found this to be true. And the case. The more
- 6:23Speaker 1: you know, the older you look. Now you can do
- 6:29Speaker 1: drugs and and and and and and kill both them
- 6:33Speaker 1: theories because you can do drugs and not know nothing
- 6:36Speaker 1: and look real old. So you know there's a way
- 6:39Speaker 1: around it. But I'm talking about if you're spending your
- 6:42Speaker 1: life trying to make something out yourself, that is no
- 6:46Speaker 1: growth without change. You cannot be afraid to reinvent yourself.
- 6:52Speaker 1: So don't get stuck on yourself, because you could be wrong.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You know, if you're heading in a direction and ain't
- 6:58Speaker 1: nothing going right in your life, could be the wrong direction.
- 7:02Speaker 1: If you're climbing and you're making no headway, could it
- 7:06Speaker 1: be the wrong direction? Could you have possibly made the
- 7:10Speaker 1: wrong choice. Don't get stuck on yourself because you haven't
- 7:13Speaker 1: made the wrong stuff. It's okay to forgive yourself. It's
- 7:17Speaker 1: okay to let yourself off the hook. It's even smarter
- 7:20Speaker 1: sometimes to admit that you were wrong. You ever met
- 7:23Speaker 1: somebody ain't ever wrong you Have you ever met somebody
- 7:27Speaker 1: you talked to? They ain't ever wrong about nothing. Man,
- 7:30Speaker 1: They just it's their way or the highway. It's this
- 7:33Speaker 1: is my way, this is the I know people like that,
- 7:36Speaker 1: stuck on them power trips and all like that. You
- 7:39Speaker 1: know what I had to learn how to do. I
- 7:40Speaker 1: had to learn how to let them go on them
- 7:42Speaker 1: power trips. But listen to this. Though you're not taking
- 7:45Speaker 1: me on that trip. Though you're going on that trip
- 7:48Speaker 1: by yourself, I'm going in the right direction. I've decided
- 7:52Speaker 1: to stop the way. Okay, listen to this person. This person.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I decided to stop doing business the way I was
- 8:00Speaker 1: doing business. I decided to stop to allow business being
- 8:05Speaker 1: done around me the way business was being done around me.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You know what, you know, the best decision I made
- 8:13Speaker 1: was to allow for God to have some say so
- 8:18Speaker 1: and to offer me his direction. I have found him
- 8:22Speaker 1: to be a better driver than anyone else I know.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I have found him to know more about the man
- 8:30Speaker 1: he made than anybody else who's merely associating with me.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I have found it to be a fact that my
- 8:39Speaker 1: maker knows more about the vehicle he created than does
- 8:43Speaker 1: anybody else. If you if your Chevy break, don't you
- 8:47Speaker 1: take it to Chevy. You don't take your Forward when
- 8:51Speaker 1: it breaks down to a Toyota dealership. They're not gonna
- 8:54Speaker 1: know everything that the Ford dealership would know about the vehicle.
- 8:58Speaker 1: You know why because they're not the acre of it.
- 9:01Speaker 1: So now why are you living? You're letting your life
- 9:04Speaker 1: being led, controlled and guided by somebody other than your maker.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I'm just asking you to let's all take a common
- 9:14Speaker 1: sense look at this. So if going to your maker
- 9:17Speaker 1: is the best way, the best decision I made in
- 9:20Speaker 1: my business was take over my brand myself and to
- 9:24Speaker 1: allow the maker of this brand. See without God, I'm
- 9:28Speaker 1: none of this. I'm none of this. I want you
- 9:30Speaker 1: to clearly understand, I ain't none of this without him.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I wish I could have the guts to reach back
- 9:38Speaker 1: there and pat myself on the back for what I've
- 9:40Speaker 1: accomplished in my life. I wish I had the guts.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I wish the nerve of me because I know for
- 9:48Speaker 1: or fact that there is no way that I could
- 9:50Speaker 1: have manufactured the life that I have. I could not
- 9:54Speaker 1: even have thought of it. It's no way I could
- 9:57Speaker 1: have told you that this was the route I was
- 9:59Speaker 1: gonna take, and this is the outcome because of it.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I had no idea, no clue. The one thing I had, though,
- 10:07Speaker 1: was an unshakable faith in God. I had an un
- 10:12Speaker 1: and I just kept believing in him. I kept believing
- 10:16Speaker 1: that he had something more for me. And then when
- 10:19Speaker 1: I touched base with him and asked him to show
- 10:22Speaker 1: me what it is what he had for me, tada,
- 10:25Speaker 1: the magic show began. Because you know what he did.
- 10:28Speaker 1: He took all my natural abilities that he had given
- 10:32Speaker 1: to me, this gift that he gave me, that that
- 10:34Speaker 1: he poured into me at birth, that same gift that
- 10:37Speaker 1: he poured into you at birth. The moment you go
- 10:40Speaker 1: to him and let him show you that gift, and
- 10:43Speaker 1: then guess what. Once he takes what he naturally put
- 10:47Speaker 1: in you and put his super his superpowers on top
- 10:51Speaker 1: of that, then you have some supernatural things going on
- 10:54Speaker 1: in your life, and you may not be feeling me.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I'm cool with that, but I didn't have. Some supernatural
- 11:02Speaker 1: things happened to me. Every day I wake up some
- 11:06Speaker 1: supernatural the the man, the rewards of my life, the
- 11:11Speaker 1: awards of my life, the accomplishments, the how I'm working now,
- 11:15Speaker 1: how I manage it all, all that ain't none but God.
- 11:18Speaker 1: That ain't nothing but God. You can't even explain this
- 11:21Speaker 1: schedule to people. Sometimes when people ask me, Steve, how
- 11:24Speaker 1: do you do it? I go, well, that's what I
- 11:25Speaker 1: manage my time. Then at the end of when I
- 11:27Speaker 1: get through, I said, hey, man, you know what I
- 11:29Speaker 1: need to tell y'all for real? It's God. I don't
- 11:31Speaker 1: really know, but I'm letting him manage me. So he
- 11:35Speaker 1: handling it. He ain't gonna put no more of me
- 11:36Speaker 1: than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all, don't be
- 11:39Speaker 1: afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this. Don't get stuck
- 11:43Speaker 1: on yourself because you could be wrong. You know, you
- 11:48Speaker 1: absolutely could be wrong. If you don't tie this to
- 11:52Speaker 1: your gift, you will be struggling the rest of your life.
- 11:56Speaker 1: You're listening to ladies. I want to have your attention,
- 12:04Speaker 1: please fellas, do whatever. But if I have the ladies attention,
- 12:10Speaker 1: then I got to have yours because you always trying
- 12:13Speaker 1: to get theirs. You understand how this works. Sherley Strawberry, Hey,
- 12:17Speaker 1: good morning, Steve, calling for real. Well, well, well, the
- 12:23Speaker 1: next two people I'm about to introduce, I sad. They've
- 12:26Speaker 1: been trying to come out of this funk for quite
- 12:29Speaker 1: some time now. We're still working on I explained it
- 12:31Speaker 1: to you in a minute. What's up Junior, Anthony? But yeah, Tomm, Hey, Hey,
- 12:42Speaker 1: what's up? Baby? Yeah? See Tom? Who wasn't there? So
- 12:45Speaker 1: can I explain to you all? You know, Jay and
- 12:49Speaker 1: Junior went to their first Daytime Emmys on Sunday night,
- 12:54Speaker 1: and you know, the talk show was up, so they're
- 12:59Speaker 1: part of it. They would get an Emmy sent to
- 13:01Speaker 1: them and everything. So the talk show was up. I
- 13:05Speaker 1: was up for four Emmys Sunday. I was up for
- 13:09Speaker 1: Best Game Show, Best Game Show Host, Best Talk Show,
- 13:15Speaker 1: and Best Talk Show Host back to back. They announced
- 13:20Speaker 1: Best Game Show and Best Game Show Host back to back.
- 13:28Speaker 1: H I lost both of those. Junior went into a
- 13:34Speaker 1: dog dog. He went to the Suken place. He texts me,
- 13:46Speaker 1: there's some bs. But that's crazy because I've never seen
- 13:50Speaker 1: Junior depressed ever in all the years I've known him. Ever, no, no, no,
- 13:55Speaker 1: I got throwed into something, none of that, into one
- 14:01Speaker 1: flu over the Cuckoo's So then a little later on
- 14:08Speaker 1: that came down to best talk show. Okay, here we go,
- 14:11Speaker 1: here we go. Now, the best game show they gave
- 14:15Speaker 1: two prices, right, and best game show host they gave
- 14:19Speaker 1: way Brady. But but what was Way Brady speech was?
- 14:27Speaker 1: Wayne said, I'm about to leave because I'm a hunger.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I was just waiting on Steve Harvey to come get
- 14:35Speaker 1: his award so I could go eat. That was his me.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So he knew Steve had everybody knew. So now we
- 14:47Speaker 1: lost the best game Show, Best Games your hold. Then
- 14:50Speaker 1: the one the reason Junior had on the tops came up,
- 14:54Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Best Informative talk Show. Yes, yes, this
- 15:02Speaker 1: is it, and the winner is the Doctor Show. Now
- 15:16Speaker 1: then ruined Junior and Jay's day. I'm talking about man,
- 15:23Speaker 1: my my cruise hurt. Oh, I'm sitting in the lobby
- 15:30Speaker 1: right wait, wait, we might have to hold it. Jack
- 15:33Speaker 1: coming back for thirty something funny. Why Junior and Jay
- 15:37Speaker 1: are not doing well today? We'll be right back. You're
- 15:42Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it's time
- 15:45Speaker 1: for something funny, guys, because it's already happening. Yes, so
- 15:49Speaker 1: they've been trying to hold it in. Yesterday they did
- 15:52Speaker 1: a little bit better. But today the depression has said
- 15:55Speaker 1: in full what happened to me in the lobby? What
- 15:58Speaker 1: happened the lobby of the daytail lobby? Daytime? And I'm
- 16:02Speaker 1: sitting in the lobby. We lost, We're not gonna win.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Nothing happened. This lady comes out with a big box. Now,
- 16:10Speaker 1: I didn't know the Emmys are in the box. You
- 16:12Speaker 1: get a big box. So I said, hey, how you doing?
- 16:15Speaker 1: I said, what's in that box? She said the Emmy?
- 16:17Speaker 1: I said, can I look at it? She said yeah?
- 16:19Speaker 1: I said, who's this? She said, dr Oz. If you
- 16:23Speaker 1: don't get your face, you don't get well. Y'all, y'all nominators.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Great the show we want for best Talk Show. So
- 16:38Speaker 1: that's good. And we feel we had a part in
- 16:40Speaker 1: that episode. That's right. That's what I's gonna say. Congratulations again,
- 16:43Speaker 1: Steve on your daytime Emmy show hosts. Yeah, yeah, Can
- 16:50Speaker 1: I just tell you this though, what blandfold. We don't
- 16:53Speaker 1: need to go to war show now. We don't do
- 16:55Speaker 1: what I don't tell you right now. And my family
- 17:01Speaker 1: asked me not to go. That's why my daughter, my
- 17:05Speaker 1: daughter Laurie went for me. She was beautiful, she went
- 17:08Speaker 1: from me and accepted because at the end, I want
- 17:11Speaker 1: the best talk show host. So my daughter Laurie went up.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Now I told her what to say. She ain't used
- 17:20Speaker 1: none of that. Your kids don't do what you tell me,
- 17:23Speaker 1: So I told her to just tell the truth that
- 17:27Speaker 1: me and my mom decided Dad can't go to no
- 17:31Speaker 1: more award shows because what he don't win, he don't
- 17:34Speaker 1: know how to look. And that's why she went. And
- 17:38Speaker 1: that's really My wife said, you're not gonna go down
- 17:40Speaker 1: that Steve and had that look on your face when
- 17:43Speaker 1: you don't win. That's better less you go. See, she said,
- 17:46Speaker 1: we ain't got to see you already know you ain't
- 17:50Speaker 1: gonna know how to look if you don't win, make
- 17:55Speaker 1: yourself look different. Way, there's no way all that extra
- 17:59Speaker 1: clapping up. I didn't have no you wanted happy for
- 18:04Speaker 1: the hell No, no, no, not like that, that little
- 18:09Speaker 1: little because they want. I didn't give Wayne nothing. You Wayne,
- 18:18Speaker 1: I didn't can't fix you hardy. Yeah, great talent, but
- 18:24Speaker 1: I just couldn't do it at that time. I couldn't
- 18:26Speaker 1: be happy for him at the time because you're in
- 18:28Speaker 1: a good mood. You're sitting there, y'all, this is it.
- 18:31Speaker 1: The real problem is y'all dressed up in Yeah, that's
- 18:36Speaker 1: that's one. And the other reason is you really wanted
- 18:40Speaker 1: that emmy sitting your house. Other reason. But let me
- 18:44Speaker 1: tell you know what, how black folks, surely we have
- 18:46Speaker 1: to we have to get you with the reception free
- 18:49Speaker 1: wine and really nice atmospherious red and where lights and came.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You walk down and you feel good and you know
- 18:56Speaker 1: that you get all of that. Ain't had a hound
- 18:58Speaker 1: in there. They didn't have to have. It was hot there,
- 19:01Speaker 1: but you didn't mind though, because you weren't that. But
- 19:05Speaker 1: the minute I lost I started talking about the this
- 19:09Speaker 1: hot ass award. So I don't even know why they
- 19:11Speaker 1: brought me down to have me put on the tail
- 19:13Speaker 1: clothes come down there? And why is the ball close
- 19:16Speaker 1: if I'm gonna be loosing to have a drink in
- 19:19Speaker 1: my hand? Who is this old lady right here coming
- 19:22Speaker 1: towards me? Let me tell you what made me feel good?
- 19:25Speaker 1: It really made me feel good. On the way out,
- 19:28Speaker 1: they had a whole they had a whole table and
- 19:33Speaker 1: look iPhone earbuds things right, They had them in little
- 19:36Speaker 1: gold bags and it said take one. I took sixteen Yeah,
- 19:46Speaker 1: we got emmy. I took folks. Junior, you were so
- 19:50Speaker 1: excited too. I've never seen you case, Steve. Could I
- 19:55Speaker 1: read you the text messages? Junior was texting me at
- 19:58Speaker 1: the award show, so he text me. He was like,
- 20:01Speaker 1: he told me about the Wayne speech and then I
- 20:03Speaker 1: said wow. Then he said, the price is white, the
- 20:06Speaker 1: price is right. Just one outstand. The game show did
- 20:10Speaker 1: some bull and I said, seriously, I bet you ready
- 20:13Speaker 1: to go. I'm going to the bar. Hell, yeah, put
- 20:16Speaker 1: on all these damn clothes. He said, I bet I
- 20:21Speaker 1: won't be back. I won't. I can't go back down that. Yeah.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I hate that, Junior, because you were like stuper excited. Yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 1: you know, you had your clothes laid out and everything,
- 20:34Speaker 1: got a haircut, nail's done, all of that. Yeah. First
- 20:38Speaker 1: of all, I've never been to anything like this, and
- 20:41Speaker 1: this is pretty cool, especially just coming man. Yeah, I'm
- 20:47Speaker 1: pretty cool. But then when you don't win, when they
- 20:50Speaker 1: said dr are cussing, immediately came out of my mouth. Huh.
- 20:55Speaker 1: And I didn't care. The little Spanish lady behind me,
- 20:57Speaker 1: like she pat me on the back, don't touch me.
- 21:00Speaker 1: You sold you. Yeah, they would love for the Spanish categories.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I don't know who she was. She said, it's okay,
- 21:07Speaker 1: I said, if you don't get off of Melion. You
- 21:10Speaker 1: just turned up with Mario. Did a good job. Good. Yeah,
- 21:19Speaker 1: she's really very very good. Yeah, so Steve, any advice
- 21:23Speaker 1: to give Junior, and no, just quick going down there.
- 21:28Speaker 1: They're gonna do it to you in your face, and
- 21:30Speaker 1: it being your face, it ain't behind your back. The
- 21:34Speaker 1: thing about the award shows, they give it to you
- 21:36Speaker 1: in your face and and let me tell you, and
- 21:39Speaker 1: you're lucky, You're lucky. You ain't up for the award
- 21:43Speaker 1: personally because the camera be in your face. Yeah, let
- 21:47Speaker 1: me tell it to and all that speaking to me
- 21:49Speaker 1: after the award show with your emy in your hand,
- 21:52Speaker 1: that's not you were hating. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you can't
- 21:56Speaker 1: help it. I went up to the dome, grabbed the handle,
- 22:06Speaker 1: then let it go, and I need to leave because
- 22:09Speaker 1: if I go in here, I know what's gonna happen.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I didn't want to be around people having fun, people
- 22:15Speaker 1: there who ain't awful nothing, and they have the Emmies
- 22:18Speaker 1: out at the parties. I didn't need to see that.
- 22:20Speaker 1: So you actually need to lose a party that way
- 22:24Speaker 1: people you're comfortable with. All right, listen, Coming up next,
- 22:30Speaker 1: nephew Tommy's run that prank back right after this. You're
- 22:37Speaker 1: listening to the Steven Show, all right. Coming up at
- 22:41Speaker 1: the top of the hour, guys Entertainment News. But first

- 30:47Speaker 1: We're getting close. Just comedy, sir. Yeah, I'm getta say
- 30:52Speaker 1: we're getting close with twelve days out all right. Coming
- 30:55Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, Guys and Entertainment News,
- 30:58Speaker 1: it seems like our president has fired up another remark
- 31:02Speaker 1: about Colin Kaepernick. Right after this, you're listening to the
- 31:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, all Right, an entertainment news. This
- 31:12Speaker 1: is according to t MZ. Now. President Trump says Colin
- 31:15Speaker 1: Kaepernick would have been a lot better off if he
- 31:18Speaker 1: would have just honored the American flag and stood up
- 31:21Speaker 1: for the national anthem. Trump didn't mention Kaepernick by name
- 31:26Speaker 1: during his rally in Michigan on Friday, but it's obvious
- 31:29Speaker 1: he was talking about Kaepernick, who remains unemployed. Uh, take
- 31:33Speaker 1: a listen. We have pride in our history and respect
- 31:38Speaker 1: for our great American flag. Defend our flag, and we
- 31:48Speaker 1: honor our flag. And if others honored our flag, there'd
- 31:56Speaker 1: be a lot better off, wouldn't they Wouldn't it be
- 31:58Speaker 1: a lot? We put our hands on our hearts for
- 32:04Speaker 1: the pledge of Allegiance, and we do that proudly. And
- 32:09Speaker 1: we stand for the national anthem, Oh my goodness, for
- 32:16Speaker 1: the million time. That's not why he took a knee. Yeah,
- 32:22Speaker 1: you're not gonna hear that. Could Could I hear it again? Good?
- 32:30Speaker 1: Could I hear it again? Letting it que up. We
- 32:34Speaker 1: are pride in our history and respect for our great
- 32:40Speaker 1: American flag. Defend our flag, and we honor our flag.
- 32:53Speaker 1: And if others honored our flag. There'd be a lot
- 32:56Speaker 1: better off, wouldn't they wouldn't they be a lot fall
- 33:00Speaker 1: We put our hands on our hearts for the pledge
- 33:04Speaker 1: of allegiance, and we do that proudly. And we stand
- 33:10Speaker 1: for the national anthem. Okay, there you gonna say you
- 33:18Speaker 1: meant well, but you know, all right, I can't say.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I think it has to do with them with the
- 33:27Speaker 1: president thinking that black especially black people, are not patriots
- 33:32Speaker 1: at all. Listen to me, I got news for you.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Standing for the national anthem does not make you patriot
- 33:40Speaker 1: at all. If you love the country so much, pay
- 33:43Speaker 1: your taxes or help out. Yeah, you know, obey the
- 33:47Speaker 1: laws of the land. Most presidents have shown their tax
- 33:52Speaker 1: from all of them and if you don't even have
- 33:55Speaker 1: to legally. But it's it's to show you that we're
- 33:59Speaker 1: above boy, that we're participating in the system that was
- 34:02Speaker 1: created to make this country great. Now, you know, I'm
- 34:09Speaker 1: telling you, man, it's it's a crazy thing right here.
- 34:12Speaker 1: But he says stuff just to get applause. He knows
- 34:16Speaker 1: his audience. We stand for our flag, we put our
- 34:20Speaker 1: hands over our hearts, and we honor our flag. That
- 34:26Speaker 1: don't make you patriotic. That's some symbolic gesture. That's all
- 34:32Speaker 1: that is. That's all that is. If you want to
- 34:36Speaker 1: honor the country, how about this, how about let's making
- 34:39Speaker 1: the laws equal for everybody. How about how about how
- 34:44Speaker 1: about that constitutional part that everybody has the inalienable right
- 34:47Speaker 1: to the pursuit of happiness. So if you're black and
- 34:51Speaker 1: you're driving, you should be able to drive without getting shot. Hey,
- 34:55Speaker 1: you can participate with the police without getting choked to death. Hey,
- 34:59Speaker 1: you can you yourself. You be in your grandmama's back
- 35:02Speaker 1: yard and not have to die. You can get pulling
- 35:04Speaker 1: over tele a police officer. You gotta go without him
- 35:07Speaker 1: shooting you. That would be real American to us. Yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 1: let's go to my and Steve. Very good, very good,
- 35:14Speaker 1: and gentlemen, ms and trip. Thank you very much, everybody.
- 35:18Speaker 1: This is a trip with the news and him, well
- 35:20Speaker 1: said Steve. President Trump says he wants his upcoming meeting
- 35:24Speaker 1: with North Korean dictator Kim John On to take place
- 35:26Speaker 1: in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, because
- 35:30Speaker 1: he says, if the meat turns out the way he
- 35:32Speaker 1: hopes that it turns out, that would be really really great.
- 35:35Speaker 1: By the way. Word is that the South and North
- 35:38Speaker 1: Koreans think that that is a good idea. There's something
- 35:42Speaker 1: that I like about it because you're there, You're actually
- 35:45Speaker 1: there where if things work out, there's a great celebration
- 35:48Speaker 1: to be had on the site. As far Kim John
- 35:51Speaker 1: wouldn't have to fly there, he could drive there, you know,
- 35:53Speaker 1: And so they think it's a good idea. By the way.
- 35:55Speaker 1: The President and Vice President are scheduled to address the
- 35:57Speaker 1: National Rife Association's annual meeting and Texas this Friday. It's

- 36:32Speaker 1: Thus far, the migrants are mostly from Central America. They've
- 36:34Speaker 1: been told that the US cannot take any more asylum applications. However,

- 37:20Speaker 1: The groups say they're the Women of Color Committee of
- 37:23Speaker 1: the Times Up Movement. They've released a letter um demanding
- 37:26Speaker 1: that several prominent companies within the music industry get away
- 37:30Speaker 1: from the R and B singer. They mean his record
- 37:32Speaker 1: label r c A Records. They say the streaming services
- 37:35Speaker 1: Spotify and Apple Music also ticketmaster. R Kelly you know,
- 37:39Speaker 1: has been dogged by allegations of sexual misconduct for close
- 37:42Speaker 1: to two decades. In two thousand two, R Kelly was
- 37:45Speaker 1: and died on twenty one counsel child porn, but was

- 55:47Speaker 1: letter subject my fiance won't give me his password. Dear
- 55:55Speaker 1: Steve and Shirley. My fiance and I have been together
- 55:58Speaker 1: for four years. When we were dating, I would sneak
- 56:01Speaker 1: and go through his phone to see his text messages
- 56:04Speaker 1: and call logs. He didn't have a password on his
- 56:06Speaker 1: phone at the time. One day I went through his
- 56:09Speaker 1: phone and I found exactly what I was looking for.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I saw that my man had been texting his child's
- 56:14Speaker 1: mom for a month, and the texas to her were
- 56:18Speaker 1: sexually explicit. She had sent him multiple pictures of herself
- 56:24Speaker 1: and they called each other baby on the messages. Without
- 56:27Speaker 1: saying anything to him, because I knew he would lie,
- 56:30Speaker 1: I contacted his child's mom and she confirmed that they
- 56:34Speaker 1: were seeing each other again but had not had sex. Shit.
- 56:37Speaker 1: I broke up with my boyfriend immediately. A month later,
- 56:41Speaker 1: after all of his apologies and sweet gifts, he asked
- 56:45Speaker 1: me to marry him. Everything is going great now except
- 56:48Speaker 1: for one thing. My fiance has recently put a password
- 56:52Speaker 1: on his phone. I have asked him for his password
- 56:56Speaker 1: numerous times, but he won't give it to me. I
- 56:58Speaker 1: have also tried to figure you're out the password, but
- 57:01Speaker 1: with no luck. I know I'm wrong for snooping, but
- 57:04Speaker 1: I need that password. He told me to just let
- 57:07Speaker 1: it go and trust him. I don't want to marry
- 57:10Speaker 1: a cheater. Please advise. Okay, you're not ready. I mean, really,
- 57:15Speaker 1: you're already having trust issues with this man before you've
- 57:19Speaker 1: even walked down the aisle. You do not trust him.
- 57:22Speaker 1: That's why you're snooping. That's why you're upset that he
- 57:25Speaker 1: got a password on his phone. So how do you
- 57:28Speaker 1: think this marriage is gonna work? I mean, you'll be
- 57:31Speaker 1: constantly thinking about him and his baby mama. What are
- 57:34Speaker 1: they doing? Are they sleeping together? And please believe me,
- 57:37Speaker 1: Uh they are? Okay, No matter what she said, they're
- 57:40Speaker 1: sleeping together. He's got a password. Anyway, they're not. She
- 57:44Speaker 1: would have told you think the woman would have told it.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Told me she said yet though, all right, you would
- 57:51Speaker 1: be asking, you know, has she sent any more pictures? Etcetera, etcetera.
- 57:55Speaker 1: You just the trust issues are too great right now.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Uh So your choices are marry him and always be
- 58:01Speaker 1: wondering you know and worried not having peace, or not
- 58:05Speaker 1: marry him and wait until you know you can rebuild,
- 58:07Speaker 1: or in this case, I think, build some trust in
- 58:10Speaker 1: your relationship. He hit him. Apologizing and giving you sweet gifts.
- 58:14Speaker 1: They're great, but his behavior needs to change. Actions should
- 58:18Speaker 1: go with those apologies and those gifts. He should have
- 58:21Speaker 1: done that before he proposed. Steve, Well, surely you're reading
- 58:27Speaker 1: this letter from the standpoint of a woman who has
- 58:34Speaker 1: been hurt, and I understand you are reading this letter
- 58:40Speaker 1: in an advisatory capacity, one woman to another as her
- 58:46Speaker 1: girlfriend guilty has charged. I'm gonna read this letter as
- 58:50Speaker 1: somebody totally disconnected from the dude at her and I'm
- 58:55Speaker 1: just gonna read the letter, and I am. I asked
- 58:57Speaker 1: questions all the way through the letter. You read it
- 59:00Speaker 1: subject my fiance won't give me his password. My question
- 59:06Speaker 1: is you still want to be his fiance? That's the question.
- 59:14Speaker 1: My fiance won't give me his password. My question do
- 59:18Speaker 1: you here? Do you still want be his fiance? If
- 59:22Speaker 1: you want to be his fiance, could ask her for
- 59:25Speaker 1: that damn pass. Thank you. Okay, let's go. Did Stephen Sherley,
- 59:30Speaker 1: my fiance have been together for four years. When we
- 59:32Speaker 1: were dating, I was sneaking go through his phone to
- 59:35Speaker 1: see his text messages and call law. Here's the question,
- 59:39Speaker 1: why did you do that? All people say, if you
- 59:44Speaker 1: go looking for trouble, you're gonna find it. Now, he
- 59:49Speaker 1: didn't have a password on his phone at the time.
- 59:52Speaker 1: One day I went through his phone and found exactly
- 59:54Speaker 1: what I was looking for. You was looking for trouble.
- 59:59Speaker 1: You found it. Now it's gonna be a problem. M
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: I saw that my man had been texting his child's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: mom for a month, and the text to her was
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: sexually explicit. She had sent him several pictures of herself
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: and they called each other baby on the message. Without
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: saying anything to him, because I knew he would lie,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: I contacted his child's mom. She confirmed that they were
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: seeing each other again but had not had sex yet.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: I broke up with my boyfriend immediately. Okay, Now you
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: went in that looking for what you wanted to find.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: You found exactly what you thought you'd find. Now you
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: called the girl. She confirmed that they had been talking
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: but had not had sex, yet you immediately went and
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: broke up with your boyfriend. Okay, cool? Why why are
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: we back at this letter? Why? Wow me back? But
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: why is it? Motives? Nothing? I'm gonna tell you why
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: because a month later, after all his apologies and sweet gifts,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: he asked me to marry him. But didn't you say yes?
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Did not you say yes? That's why you all have
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: become fiance because you said yes. After all you knew
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: and all you found at all you heard, he asked
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: you to marry him with some sweet gifts and apologies,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: and you said yes. Well, everything is going great now. Okay,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: this hetta where everything is going great now except for
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: one thing. My fiance has recently put a password on
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: his phone. What did you explain? Can do him? What?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: You know why he put the password on the phone
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: because everything's going great? Why would he allow it to
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: not to continue to go great? You already snoops, you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: already go through phones looking for stuff. So now he
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: didn't put a password on his phone? And you know
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: why I put the password on this phone because everything
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: going great now? Everything we're going good. Before to your
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: ass got into that phone and started calling people. See
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you started calling people. You didn't ask him because what
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you say, you knew he would laugh. So what you
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: did you call? Huh? She can fire what you had
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: already been thinking holding back. I finished it this all
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: this eason. We'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: up at twenty three after the hour. You're listening to
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: go with your part two of your response to today's
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject my fiance won't give me his password.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: My fiance won't give me his pass for the question
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I ask for you, and do you still won't be
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: his fierce? If you do? You got quit ask you
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: for this past because the last time you went through
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: his phone, you said you find what you was looking for.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: He was talking to his child, baby mama. Hit me.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: The baby mama been a change of pittures called each
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: other baby baby, and they've been talking sexually explicit. But
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the woman you call huck and you knew he was
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: gonna lie. Hm, anybody gonna sit him telling like, yeah,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I'm calling huh, that's a lie. Anybody gladly tail. So
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: she said you hadn't had it, so you're just having
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: sex so you broke up immediately. Now, after a bunch
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: of sweet gifts and some apologies and talking nice, he
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: asked you to marry him. You said, yes, that's how
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: y'all fiance. M hmm. Everything is going great now except
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: for one thing. My fiance has recently put a password
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: on the phone. Like I said before the break. The
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: reason he put the password on the phone's cause everything
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: is going great and your nose and ass ain't gonna
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: leave it at that. Now I have asked him for
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: his password numerous times, but he won't give it to me.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Why would he give you this password? So you start
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: calling people again? Now you all down on this job?
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Was was Larry at work Friday? See you? You see it?
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: What once you called one person? Your fiance gotta figure
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: you could call anyway? Who is Bishop Anita? Bishop Anita
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: is in the soul saving biss and you should leave
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: it at that. So now I have tried to figure
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: out the password, but with no luck. You got a
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: lot of time. Now let me tell you why you're
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: not gonna figure this pass word out because once our
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: password is complicated, once we've been busted. Ain't my birthdays?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Oh that ain't that you ain't gonna get the birthday.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: You ain't gonna get so security, but last folk, you
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: know you ain't gonna get you know, uh you a
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I number change my When I was out there playing
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: my every day, my pass word changed whatever the lottery
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: number was the night before, that was my password. And
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you do not have voicemail for not matter of fact,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: my my my passwords so complicated. I used the van
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: number on my damn card. Seven numbers you got damn
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: you had a registration in your hand to get in
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: my phone when I was out there working. Come on, man,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: my my damn password has actually been the key to
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: the vote at folk Knocks. Come on, man, my my
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: password has actually been the birthday or the folk chicks
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I was dating. Come on, Hill and how come on
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: give me some more. My passwords actually been my SOUCH
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: securiting numbers, the Einstein equation, Newton's law of m Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: you had to know something. My last password I had
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: two thousand five was the middle of you know that
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: three sided ruling you had in school, The middle feather
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: two digits on that ruler was yeah, yeah, And dude,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I had a password one time that was the circumference
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: of the third watermelon on the first role at the
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: produce sex. Come on, boy, that's how hard? So you're
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: not gonna guess his password now? Then she says, I
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: know I'm wrong for snooping, but I need that password. No,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: you don't. Surely told you right, you need to be
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: in a loving, trusting relationship, but you're not. See you
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: you need that password for what? Because you know what?
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: You're gonna find it now? Same? Thank you? Let him
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: hell him picture? How did that? Oh? Boy? You just
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: why you say that? Why would he say it? Because
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: that's how you don't? Why would he say it because
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: that's sounds natural. He told me to just let it
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: go and trust him. I don't want to marry a cheetah.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Please advibe. Listen to me. He's telling you, right, let
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: it go and trust him. And then what you think
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: go happen when you trust him and let it go?
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: What do you think happen? Tell me, I'm listening, you know, see,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Let listen to me. Or you could just say, hey,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: look by next Friday, next Friday, or this Friday, Friday,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: this Friday, give me your phone. That would give him
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: three four days clean that phone? What Yeah, I gotta
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: takes the phone. I'm just telling you what he needs
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: to do is he need to take this phone down

- 1:11:15Speaker 1: is coming. But first, uh, Stephen, the guys in the show,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: we're talking about this the other day, when they come
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: home from work sometimes, I mean sometimes they just don't
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: want to talk right away. They want to talk, but
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: not right away. So Steven, I know, Steve and Jay
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: did a reenactment when the husband comes home from work
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: from a long day at the office and the wife
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: wants to talk. And I want to point out that
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Jay plays the wife in this segment. Take a listen. Basically,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: you don't want to talk. You just want to come
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: in and not talk to nobody. You don't every man,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: how come you don't want to talk? You know what
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: I'm saying. Here's had go? What's wrong with talking? Here's
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: how it go. You just walked in the house. Hey baby,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: how are you doing? I'm doing good. How was your
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: day to day? I'm tired. I'm beat up. Man. It
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: was rough out there to day, go into it and nothing.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: It was just a long day, baby. You know, I
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: get sometimes I just gonna sit down and check or
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: get my thoughts a minute to myself. Well, what happened?
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: It was just a long day, you know, just long,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: long like a long like what I mean long like
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: how I've been down there all day? No, I just
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: has been there all day. If it been there all
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: day working, I got two jobs and just got home.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: You're just a long day. I'm just tired, that's all.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: What happened the first job? Just tell me that. Ain't
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: nothing in particularly happened, you know, it just was so
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: you were that all day and you're telling me nothing Happenedtlar, No,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: I ain't, no, not nothing meaningful. So something did happen? No, baby, listen,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: listen what I'm saying is it just it was just
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: a long day, was just you know, you know, just
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: the day to day got in the way, and it's
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: just tired of something happened that you don't want to
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: tell me about. Ain't nothing happening that I ain't wanna
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: tell you about. I'm just trying to tell you, ain't
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: nothing really happened. But just what I'm just I'm tired. Well,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: you know you sound like you're yelling. I mean you
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: listen to me, right, Look, I ain't I ain't trying
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: to Look, I'm not yelling if I did, I just
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: want to go on and what happened. Hey, look, I'm tired,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I didn't have a good day. I'm just gonna go
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: on in here. I'm watching a little TV and he
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: let me go. So you don't want to talk? That
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: basically what you're saying, you don't want to talk. You
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: all day and you come home and now I want
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: to talk. You wanna talk to me? Is that? Is
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: that basically what you're saying. You don't You've been talking
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: to all other people all day. When I bounds at
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: work though I'm on at work, Well, I just want
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: to check. I just want to chill work at the house.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: There's no talk. No, I just want to cheer, not
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: just want to cheer for a little while. Don't you
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: have a talk show? You have two shows that just talk.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: If you come home and just no talking, that's well,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: I got a radio show to do, radio show, dinner,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: do to talk show, and I got a brief and
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: then I do meeting. You're talking to meeting, y'all talking
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: to meeting. You're talking the show. Yeah, you're talking to
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: radio show. Yeah, but you can't talk home. But I'm
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: trying of talking at getting loud. You get loud. Yeah,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: well you ain't listening. I'm listening. I'm trying to talk.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Now you ain't hearing me. I'm my voice raising because
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: you're not listening. You know what, forget it, just forget it,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: just forget the whole thing. Forget I asked, get it
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: all right now, I don't want to talk to my mom. Okay,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: I'm going in here, said ever. I'm going I'm not
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: talking to you no more. You don't have to worry
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: about me talking to you when you come in from now,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: I will not be talking. Okay. Let's see how you
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: like that. If you don't want to talk, then I
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: don't want to talk. No, no, no, no no no.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: I tried to talk, but you didn't want to talk.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Now you want to talk. Talk baby, I'm going in
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: here and just sit down the chill because you can't
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: talk to me all right by just just look look
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: just whatever you're said. I didn't even know are we
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: talking all or not? I was going to hear you
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: said you even wanna talk to me? No more? Okay,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: forget it now, I want out to talk. Okay, let's stop.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: You don't talk to me, and I won't talk to you.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: All right, that's good, it works fine for me. Ever
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: talk to you now? He walks away under his brow
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: and he so he thinks, and he said he being
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: the husband, answers crazy. And then she follows him in
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: the room. Yeah, she says, I just have one question.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: I just I just had one more question to ask you.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Why don't you want to talk to me? What did
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: I do? Yeah? What did I do? Because I didn't
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: do anything to you. No, you ain't did nothing. I
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: just told you I had a long thing, and then
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: you said you didn't want to talk. I said, I'm
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: going to hear the chill and you to follow me
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: and ask me again one more thing. I got one
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: more thing to ask you, Colombo. Yeah, come on, well okay,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: so one more time under my breath. And I don't
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: think she can hear this. So I said to myself,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: this is helpful. Crazy. Oh I'm crazy now, I'm crazy.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Now I'm reready that I want one. I've been crazy,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: but I'm grazy. No, I ain't say he's crazy. I
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: just say he's crazy. I'm crazy. No, I said, what
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you crazy? Steve I'm gonna show you crazy.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: I don't know what I said. I ain't crazy, and
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: now I'm gonna you know I said this crazy? You
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: you want to see it. I'm showing to you what
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: I'm looking at. Wait what he's already looking at? Every
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: man who's winning? Way with good friend? Laugh when you
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: get at work. Okay, Oh my god, that's it right there.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Hit us up on social media at Steve Harvey f M.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: If you want to join us, if you feel the
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: same way, let us know how you feel. Uh, Steve
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Harvey f M. Okay. Coming up at the top of
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: the hour, Carlo's Reality Update. She's gonna talk about the
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Atlanta Rio. Yeah, Part three. You're listening
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. The city of Seattle
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: recently filed a motion to repeal over five hundred marijuana
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: possession convictions over the past thirty years. As we know,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: misdemeanor convictions for weed over the past few decades have
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: negatively impacted the black community. The city's attorney, Pete Holmes
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: quoted an a c l U report that reveals that
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: African Americans are more than three times more likely to
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: be arrested for pot possession than whites, despite the fact
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: that blacks and whites use at the same rate. Homes
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: went on to say, as we see marijuana sold and
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: retail storefronts today, people who simply had a joint in
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: their pocket a decade ago still have a red mark
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: on their records. It's long past time we remedy the
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: drug policies of yesteryear. And this is one small step
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: to write the injustices of a drug war that has
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: primarily targeted people with call. I'm hopeful the court will
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: choose to clear these charges. He acknowledged that while the
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: policy shift can reverse the damage, it's a step forward
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: in helping Seattle residents, including immigrants and refugees, have a
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: clean slate. You're free to go. A municipal judge is
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: currently reviewing the convictions that have limited offenders from landing
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: jobs and housing opportunities. That's good news. That's great, serious
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: time for joints or small You're free to go. Thank you,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: thank you. Yeah, that's good, serious time. Need absolutely they do. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Steve,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: I'm these marijuana stories. I know you kind of get
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: quiet on them, and I'm trying to get him. We
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: don't ever want you to, Oh, guys going into with
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: marijuana store because I passed three. I'm on the way
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: to work everynet it's three. Yeah, I know. I saw
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: two old dudes going the other day. They look, ye, yeah,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: we've been to come out of here. Right, it's so
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: so good we're going there now. It's just so free.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: So say that place is making money. Hey man, When
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Cheech and Chong was on my talk show, you know
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: they are up in smokers on Blu Ray and all this.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Now they both have brands of marijuana that they sail.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: And uh, he bought me some and gave it to
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: me on the show. And you open it up and
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: there's five sticks in it and this role perfectly. It's
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: got a little tip on it and everything. Yeah, I
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: told her, I said, my man, I said, I told Tommy.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: I said I've never smoked weed. He said what I said, No, No,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: he was just he couldn't believe it. I said, I've
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: just never smoked weed before. He said, man, you should
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: try it again. Where is it? Ja? I would never
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: ever give you anything all to yr ignorant area. In fact,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: what you say tell me his diabetes smoking though, because
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: he'll come in there eating snickers, read his butterclu butterfingers.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: He candy like, it ain't nothing. What you mean? We
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: can't say it? We just said it. Ja been smoking weed?
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: I said, I know, ja been smoking weed? Here? You
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: think the jokes is about He's trying to get yours?
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: That tell me chunk watch? I want it? I want
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: to have it? Did you throw it away? He still
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: asked about cheating? Where is it? Yeah? What'd you do with?
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I didn't win it. I didn't win the Emmy, and
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: you're gonna do now? If that should be should be
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: a cut off? We cut off? I mean winning. Nelson smokes.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: He smokes so much he ain't got to send in
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: his text Snoop, I thought I sent here. I don't
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: know Snoop. Speaking of Snoop, have you seen the billboard
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: for his new show, Um The Joker's Wild. It says
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: where even the steaks are high word high? Yeah, Like, hey, yeah,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: but that's my bucket list? Though? What smoke with Snoop?
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: That's all a lot of people asked Jack smoke? What
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: what you need? A deeper blook? That's just one of
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: the things. Yeah, but but he lived next dough to
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: you just next. That's what I'm saying that to lay
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: on that just put it on things to do this weekend?
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: And smoke was snoop. Did you tell him that, Jay
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: when you saw him when he was on the show. Yeah,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: I told him. I did tell him. What do you
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: say you say? Nothing? Oh? Yeah, we can do that
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: come out the right. She wanted to, But that was
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: that work. Didn't do it? Oh yeah, of course not
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: it for her. No, not on the premise about it.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: But I was he was doing there I had to do. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: I learned so much. Tell us a lot about himself.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: But is that what makes you funnier? You're just funny? Anyway?
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: That help? I have a question. This is a relatable question.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: This is about drinking. For one million dollars, could you
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: drink a fifth for him us? Who is that for anyone? Yeah? Yes, yes, yes,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: what you said a million dollars? Surely I'll just be drinking.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Oh okay, surely you can. I can't drink at all,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: but surely you can't. Sure you can't drink a glass?
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Really crazy? Tom one? Margarite? Is she out? Tommy? I
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: don't know. That's a lot before a million. I'm gonna
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: get it down. That's like you're listening to the Steven Show. So, Steve,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: your recent article from the Hollywood Reporter is trending as
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: celebrities say the darnedest things. Surprised. Uh, Steve, do you

- 1:25:19Speaker 1: white woman sitting in the front row at showtime at
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the follow Okay, let me read it to you. You said,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: I had this lady on the front row who was white,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: and I was saying, ma'am, you didn't boo? She said,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I can't. That's so rude to boo. I looked at her,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: and the dude in in her row stood up and said,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: that's what the bleep we do. That's what the f
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: we That's what he said. He said, that's what the
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: f So the next act she was standing up booing,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: pointing them off the stage, the whole nine she next
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: act she got into it. She booed a little bit
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: as she understood what this is what we do. And
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: so the next act that came out there it wasn't good.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I looked down there she was standing up, boy on
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: the front row. I'm talking about turning red and just
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: putting them off the stage, you know, just waving her fingers,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: get off the stage. I don't know she got into it.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: It takes the one act one act, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: the first It takes a half a show because the

- 1:26:37Speaker 1: Is that a word? Ferocity? Ferociousness? Yeah, ferociousness. No, I
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: wanted to say ferocity, like ferociousness with volume, velocity speed
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: you know you know no, I don't do volgarity, no
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: ferocity teaching. It's ferociousness with speed. Just make a word,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: just dog, don't do you need the words? On the
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: talk show the other day, on a commercial break, No
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: over Family Field over the weekend, and I told Label,
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: I said, I just, I just, I really found out
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: liabelar wasn't a word. She said, what it's not so
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: that the black lady in the order, Steve, that's not
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: a word. I said, libelers a word, But no, it's
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: it's it's liable, like like you're responsible for something. I said, no, no, no,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: they're responsible, you're responsible. She said, no, liable. It's when
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: you're responsible for something, you're being held liable. I said, no,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: libeler mean you're responsible for what's about to happen? Because
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: if you keep talking, I liable to bust you upside
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: your Now that's your damn see, libeler happens if you
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: continue to do something to me. It's what I liablity
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: do to you. That's how you do it. That lady
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: was so confused. That's that's really not a word. Later,
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: so confused them people is in their laughing, So damn,
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: it makes sense. You can make the worst. Ain't no
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: wrong with that? For years? How do we get? Ha?
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: We got hat? Didn't we? That word? Yeah? Just high
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: from somewhere. Hi, somebody made that. It wasn't he Huh?
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: I kind of know where it came from. We're trying
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: to say, how you doing? But on the dame out? Okay,
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: I called the question for the diabetic um your keeping? Sweet? Yeah,
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: what happens when you get the munches? When you eat.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening, all right, here we go, Steve.
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: You have a funny story you want to tell us? Yeah,
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: last night, well early this morning, I'm watching Get Up,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: which is a sports show with Jalen Rose. What's the dude,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: Mike Greenberg, Mike Greenberg from Mike and Mike, Mike and
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Mike and Ryan Clark, Ryan Clark and the ladies a
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: lady on. They had this big thing talking about the
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: NBA fashionistas, the NBA fashions, and they were talking and
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: they showed a picture of James Harden coming to the
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: game with a silk short set on and it was gold,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: like an old gold and an old silver, and they
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: had shots and they were short shorts. There was a
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: short set and they said, wow, look at this trend
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: setting gentlemen here walking. Have you guys seen that? What
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: I dude on first, take my dude, Rick and Bryant.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: He said, no, no, even let y'all do that. That
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: ain't nothing new my all. My uncle's wear shot set
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: to all the Bobbycus all of the family reunion. Hold up,
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Uncle Ricky, I got you. I ain't gonna let y'all
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: do this, Uncle ricket rickets been wearing that for a year.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: All my uncles wear that winter shame. And then and
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: then Jay len Roe said yeah, and you got to
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: wear them with street hard bottom street shoes, closed in sandals. Definitely.
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: Dom uk I said, man, that dude had me laughing
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: so hard. He said, Now I ain't gonna let y'all
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: sitting at me and tell James Harden is starting to fashion. No, no,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: this bit out and my uncle's were this, And I
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: thought a man crim dealer silk and all that mean,
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: you know, man shout sip hot matching hat. Don't get
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: out of here with some shoes, man, please, sticking than socks? Thick?
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: What are thicking? Thin soup thicking things with the pinstripes
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: on on board, thick and then thin and then thick.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: And then they see Adams made the coldest ones, the
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: coldest ones. But now at last it come out in
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: them quick. That's why you get rubber bands. I had
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: rubber bands on at the party. One time I had
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: rubber bands at the party. I was about about eighteen nineteen.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: I went to this club down in Columbus and put
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: rubber bands on my socks. Had him over all night,
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: put him on the seven because he's going to eat
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: something first, then went out. Then when we shot some pool,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: then we went to the club, so I was up
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: on my feet along time I got home. Man about
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: volt that in the morning. Man, Yeah, many rubber bands
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: had cut into my legs so beat that I couldn't
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: see them. My socks had entered into my leg. I
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: couldn't even see the damn rubber band on smooth socks
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: until I dug my fingers in and I discovered, man,
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: he rubber bands and dug into the mouth. So I
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: couldn't roll them down because I couldn't get them out.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: So I just took a butter knife under there and
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: popped it and then't tell you something, man, whoa. Then
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: you got to dig and itch them because they scratched,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: because your blood gotta go back in there, Lord her
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: mercy man dog. My feet was two times they regular side,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: no blood was meaning whatever went down there couldn't pump
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: back up the leg. My feet looked like clown sheep.
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: All right, Puss Blue back with the last break of
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: the day. You're listening Steve Morning Show, Last break of
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: the day, Steve bless Us with your closing remarks, bless Us. Yeah,
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: that's heavy, bless Us, it's really heavy. Yeah, I know,
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: But I think of that, that's that puts me a
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: motivator space. So I think of what I'm gonna do
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: is talk to you about something that can help really
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: move your life forward. You know. Oftentimes, you know, man,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: we get stunk because we get we find ourselves in
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: a dark place much longer than we want to be there.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: And some of these dark places that we find ourselves
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: here is because we don't have the right attitude to
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: get out. I'm gonna tell you something that can help
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: you move your life forward that could possibly be holding
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: you back without you even realizing it is the act
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: of forgiveness. Just the simple act of forgiveness. You know.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: I had Bishop Jake's on my show in time, and
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: we were talking about how forgiveness slows people up because
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: when you don't forgive, you have to harbor all of
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: these feelings. When you don't forgive, you have to harbor
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: the memory of something. When you don't forgive, you harbor
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: all of the ways it made you feel, which keeps
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: you in a low state. Instead of getting to the mountaintop.
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: You stay in this valley the whole time, and and
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: and and and it's a tough place to be. You
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: can rid yourself of that low place in life with
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: the act of forgiveness. A lot of us can't move
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: forward because we're allowing something somebody dear to us, hold
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: us back. You know, I just can't get passed away
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: he treated I just can't get passed away. My father
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: left me. I cannot get has the way that my
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: mama was. I just cannot get past the way of
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: of of of how my friends treated me. I thought
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: this was my best friend. I cannot believe how they
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: did me. Man, that's unthinkable. I just can't get past it. Well,
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: if you say you won't get past it, I got
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: news for you. You're not. And if you don't get
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: past it, you can't move forward. See Bishop Jake's taught
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: me this forgiveness is not for the other person. Forgiveness
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: is actually for you. See you do a person like now,
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Every time they see me, I
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: bet I ain't gonna forgive them. Know what actually happens
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: is every time you see them, you relive the moment.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: Every time you see them, you drum up those old feelings.
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: Every time you see them, you throw yourself into something
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: the us and that you're not forgiving. Usually don't even
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: know that you haven't forgiven them, and they have moved
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: on with their life, they skipping. But because you have
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: never forgave them or never bought it to their attention.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: So you think that it will create closing for you.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: It won't. It won't. The fact that you won't forgive
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: a person does nothing to them, but it does so
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: much damage to you. It's like a cancer in your
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: body that festers and grows and over the years if
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: you don't forgive enough, If you don't forgive a person,
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: it stays with you and it causes so many ill
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: feelings in you. And next thing you know, you can't
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: move on with the next relationship because you still living
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: in the other relationship. You can't move on to the
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: next business deal because you so wiped out how they
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: did you in that last business deal. And you can't
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: find yourself progressing with your friends, your new friends, because
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: as you came moved past what your old friend did
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: to you. How many times, if you really think about it,
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: has the act of nonforgiving held you back? Probably more
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: times than you think. Yeah, I did it to myself.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: It was a guy man that ran a club for
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: me in Dallas. Well, he took some money from me
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: and at the time it was thirty three thousand dollars.
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: Now back then, man, that was all I had I
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: came from a gig and the money and account. They said,
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: well it's gone, Mr Dog. You have some people signing,
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: and they removed the money. I said, okay, maybe I
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: had to do some winning. I called him. He wouldn't
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: answer the phone. I went by his office. In his
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: office was cleared out, and I went there then. And
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: I came from a comedy gig and I came back
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: to my club and all of a sudden it was gone.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: And man, that was it. I said, hold on just tuning.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: It took my money. I looked for him everywhere. Every
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: time I heard man, I had people looking for a man.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: He helped here getting the head cut. I get in
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: my car forty minutes away, drive to the barbershop. Oh
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: he left. Man. I go to a club. A man,
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: your boy just went out the back door. I run
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: out the back door. I see his tail likes pulling
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: through the gate. I looked for him for years and
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: for years and for years. Man, I looked for this
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: dude man for seven years, and then something happened. My
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: mama passed, and he sent the biggest flower arrangement to
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: my mama's funeral because my mama taught him Sunday school,
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: and I was sitting there and I read the car
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: and it was from him. But at that moment I
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: didn't have time to hate him, because my mama was Gonne.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: And at that moment I realized what was really important
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: to me, and he was so unimportant to me at
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: that time, and so at that day I forgave him
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: that day. Now, since then, had he stayed my manager,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: he would be making right now ten percent of everything
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: I've heard you. You do you have any idea what
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: that check would be. But for thirty three thousand and
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: I just forgave it. I was able to move on
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: with my life. If I had allowed that to hold me,
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: that I could be stuck right back at that thirty three.
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: But because I was willing to let it go, God
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: has opened up the windows of heaven and poured out
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: of blessings. I ain't even got his blessings chased me down.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: I am telling you, you've got to let it go.
