- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now.
- 2:07Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey Man oh Man got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show, got going for you today. I got going
- 2:13Speaker 1: for you today. O kid you not, because this is
- 2:17Speaker 1: coming purely from self experience, purely, and it just happened
- 2:22Speaker 1: to me. It just happened to me just yesterday. I
- 2:26Speaker 1: lived this on yesterday. You know, I was going through
- 2:30Speaker 1: something that I've been going through for a long long
- 2:34Speaker 1: time and just weary of it all. And I was
- 2:37Speaker 1: I've been talking to God about it, and I mean
- 2:39Speaker 1: for for years though, for years, and I've been saying Okay,
- 2:42Speaker 1: enough is enough? You know, God, I'm really I'm really tired.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And so what happened was I had had to go
- 2:53Speaker 1: through some more of it yesterday again in a situation.
- 2:57Speaker 1: But you but you know what, um after it was over,
- 3:04Speaker 1: you know, I kind of laid in it for a
- 3:05Speaker 1: little while. You know how you've been going through something
- 3:08Speaker 1: for so long and then even if it's over appears
- 3:11Speaker 1: to be over you you still kind of lay in
- 3:14Speaker 1: it a little bit, and you know you have a while. Man,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I can't believe I've been dealing with this this long,
- 3:19Speaker 1: even though even though it's over, this is really good
- 3:24Speaker 1: for me. I don't know how you do it, but
- 3:26Speaker 1: this was so good for you for me. Have you
- 3:29Speaker 1: ever counted, Steve Harvey, how many times you made it?
- 3:34Speaker 1: And so that's what I started doing yesterday and that's
- 3:37Speaker 1: what I did this morning when I woke up, was
- 3:39Speaker 1: getting ready, I was actually taking an inventory account of
- 3:46Speaker 1: how many times I made it. How many times man,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I didn't have the rent and somehow I came up
- 3:54Speaker 1: with it. How many times I didn't have my house
- 3:56Speaker 1: payment and somehow I came up with it. How many
- 4:00Speaker 1: times I was out of money, did not have enough,
- 4:03Speaker 1: didn't didn't see no way, but somehow I came up
- 4:06Speaker 1: with it. How many times I got sick? I thought, well, man,
- 4:12Speaker 1: this one right here. I don't know what I'm gonna do,
- 4:14Speaker 1: but somehow I got my health back. How many situations
- 4:22Speaker 1: I have found myself in? That was I thought at
- 4:26Speaker 1: the time. Detrimental and diabolical and man so sinister at times.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Somehow I made it. I look at all the accidents
- 4:38Speaker 1: I've been in, but he kept me. I made it.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I think about even the simplest times of like stepping
- 4:44Speaker 1: off a curve and almost got hit, but I made it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I was just tripping the other day. I was. I
- 4:50Speaker 1: was thinking about the times that I've been hit by
- 4:53Speaker 1: a car and it could have been worse, but it wasn't.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And I made it through that too. I was thinking about, Man,
- 4:59Speaker 1: when they count you out, do you know how many
- 5:02Speaker 1: times I've been counted out? He's done. He ain't gonna
- 5:06Speaker 1: be nothing, He ain't nobody. See who I told y'all
- 5:11Speaker 1: look at over that they counsel this. He offered that
- 5:14Speaker 1: he out of here. He ain't gonna make it. He
- 5:16Speaker 1: didn't got fired. Man, you know how many times I've
- 5:18Speaker 1: been counted out. You know how many times they didn't
- 5:20Speaker 1: wrote me off? How many times have you been written off? Man?
- 5:24Speaker 1: But here you still stand? You know you have a
- 5:26Speaker 1: tripped on it. Take an inventory, y'all of how many times?
- 5:31Speaker 1: Count the times you've made it? What about the times man,
- 5:34Speaker 1: when nobody was there to encourage you? But you still
- 5:38Speaker 1: here though you have tripped on that? Ain't nobody called
- 5:41Speaker 1: you and told you good day. No nobody called you
- 5:43Speaker 1: and told you recently thank you. No one's called you
- 5:46Speaker 1: and told you how much you meant to them, how
- 5:48Speaker 1: much you've done for them? A man, that you can
- 5:50Speaker 1: make it? Never give up, Keep your head up, man,
- 5:53Speaker 1: keep grinding. But you still here, even when nobody have
- 5:56Speaker 1: you counted the times man, that you made it? Anyway
- 6:01Speaker 1: you count at the times that you felt like quitting.
- 6:04Speaker 1: How about that one you felt like giving up? You
- 6:08Speaker 1: kept going? How about the time this is a good
- 6:11Speaker 1: one right here? How about the times? Man? When when
- 6:14Speaker 1: when when everybody is standing around saying, ain't no way,
- 6:17Speaker 1: ain't no way, Steve Man, I can't tell you any
- 6:20Speaker 1: times I've heard this ain't no way. And then somehow
- 6:24Speaker 1: there is a way. You know why, because he makes
- 6:27Speaker 1: a way you understand? You know? How mean? You know?
- 6:30Speaker 1: How many times I've heard this one? Right here? Steve,
- 6:33Speaker 1: listen to me, Man, nobody ever before hasn't done that.
- 6:39Speaker 1: You can't do that. How many times you've heard? No?
- 6:42Speaker 1: You wan? When you know anybody didn't done that? You
- 6:46Speaker 1: can't do that. No one has ever done that. I
- 6:49Speaker 1: made it anyway. You know they don't normally or we
- 6:56Speaker 1: don't normally allow this, but in this case for you,
- 7:03Speaker 1: we're gonna make an exception. How many times have you
- 7:06Speaker 1: heard that, Oh, I think I'm onto something? How many
- 7:10Speaker 1: times have you heard in your lifetime? We don't normally
- 7:15Speaker 1: or they don't normally allow this, but we're gonna make
- 7:18Speaker 1: this exception in your case. How many times you've ben't
- 7:23Speaker 1: heard that? Have you ever counted the times that you
- 7:29Speaker 1: made it? You know everybody out accept me? How how
- 7:39Speaker 1: can that be? You know you're the only one that
- 7:42Speaker 1: got through this? Congratulations? Wow, Man, I don't I don't
- 7:47Speaker 1: hardly see this too many times. But do you realize
- 7:50Speaker 1: that normally this is what happened to people? But man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: y'all don't know how your name came up, but here
- 7:55Speaker 1: you are. Wow, it never happens like that you have
- 7:59Speaker 1: accounted those times. I was doing it yesterday, I was
- 8:02Speaker 1: doing it this morning. I was just taking an inventory
- 8:05Speaker 1: of everybody of how many times I've made it. So
- 8:09Speaker 1: what I learned yesterday was when God gets you through something,
- 8:14Speaker 1: when he pulled you out on the other side, no
- 8:17Speaker 1: matter how difficult or how long it took. When He
- 8:20Speaker 1: gets you out on the other side, why don't you
- 8:22Speaker 1: get up, dust yourself off, and start trotting what you
- 8:28Speaker 1: laying there for man, wallowing in it, going over it,
- 8:32Speaker 1: recycling it in your mind. So many people can't move
- 8:36Speaker 1: forward because we keep recycling stuff in our minds when
- 8:43Speaker 1: clearly it's time to move on. It's time to let go.
- 8:50Speaker 1: It's time to go and see what God has for you.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Stop looking at what you lost. What you lost was
- 8:58Speaker 1: probably not yours to have in the first in the
- 9:03Speaker 1: first place. Do you know the things I've lost? I'm
- 9:11Speaker 1: not talking about losing the love of one or mother
- 9:13Speaker 1: or father, nothing like that. I'm talking about innate objects
- 9:17Speaker 1: or situation. Do you know the things I've lost? Man,
- 9:20Speaker 1: I look back on it. I wasn't supposed to have
- 9:22Speaker 1: him in the first place, or they was doing me
- 9:24Speaker 1: no good. I wasn't even what wouldn't mine to to lose,
- 9:27Speaker 1: but I claimed I lost it. Come on, man, taking inventory, everybody.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Start looking at the things man, that God has brought
- 9:34Speaker 1: you through. Start looking at how many times He allowed
- 9:36Speaker 1: you to make it, And get glad about waking up
- 9:39Speaker 1: in the morning. Man, Get glad about your life. Start
- 9:41Speaker 1: feeling something positive about your situation. You cannot expect God
- 9:46Speaker 1: to continue to bless you if you're not grateful for
- 9:49Speaker 1: the things that you have. Why would God sitting down
- 9:53Speaker 1: here looking at you upset, angry, laid in in the
- 10:00Speaker 1: waller of what you are not grateful for? You just
- 10:05Speaker 1: can't find the scene to find, no gratitude in your
- 10:07Speaker 1: heart about nothing, but you steady asking God for something.
- 10:10Speaker 1: So now you think God is crazy. You think He's
- 10:13Speaker 1: gonna give you some most stuff to not be grateful for.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Why would he do that? He's
- 10:19Speaker 1: too full of too much mercy to send you through that.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Over and over and over, the more I give my child,
- 10:25Speaker 1: the more ungrateful they are, the less gratitude they show.
- 10:29Speaker 1: But I'm gonna keep dumping it on them so they
- 10:31Speaker 1: can keep feeling ungrateful and show like a gratitude. Guy's
- 10:34Speaker 1: not gonna do that to you. Come on, man, have
- 10:39Speaker 1: you ever counted how many times you made it? I
- 10:44Speaker 1: can't count how many times God didn't got me through something.
- 10:48Speaker 1: But when He gets you through it, you ain't get
- 10:50Speaker 1: up and get on about your business. Don't lay that
- 10:52Speaker 1: in it. It's over, it's done, you made it, you
- 10:55Speaker 1: survived it. Let's go. Let's go to ladies and gentlemen,

- 15:15Speaker 1: just trying to do something that evening, That that that
- 15:20Speaker 1: evening you can do something I've never I've never cared
- 15:23Speaker 1: for that. I don't know. I ain't like, I ain't
- 15:25Speaker 1: had one nice thing, but it never never was never ever. Yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 1: you always like to have a little more meaning behind
- 15:34Speaker 1: your action, Steve. Look, look, let's lie to each other.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I miss you, I love you, I love you. I
- 15:42Speaker 1: was thinking about you. You know it's turned. I like
- 15:46Speaker 1: that part of it. Get some fun at this, but
- 15:48Speaker 1: you know, I'd rather ford to have some relativity to it.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I don't want just this hill because I hadn't had
- 15:56Speaker 1: that that. You know. You know I've been young like
- 15:58Speaker 1: everybody else, I've had one night stand. It ain't ever
- 16:01Speaker 1: ever reward ain't your night stand? And when they ain't
- 16:07Speaker 1: ever been good rewarded. What do you say, say, are
- 16:11Speaker 1: some of the greatest moments of all time? Your relationship
- 16:16Speaker 1: in trouble? Well, no, my relationship is fine. But when
- 16:20Speaker 1: I had one night stand, But way back in the day,
- 16:23Speaker 1: those were great days, wonderful. I I ain't got the call, hush,
- 16:29Speaker 1: she ain't got to call me. It ain'tthing to cost
- 16:31Speaker 1: me arm. And then relationships coughs. You know that, love coughs.
- 16:36Speaker 1: So you meet someone, meet him dinner. Maybe we can
- 16:40Speaker 1: get a quick bike. But now let's get on too.

- 16:46Speaker 1: gonna be talking over my wife? How fast is the bike?
- 16:49Speaker 1: The fight is really? How much? How long did you

- 17:15Speaker 1: everybody good? Can we move on? Sex behavior? Yeah? I
- 17:21Speaker 1: just think it's for me. It was just it was
- 17:25Speaker 1: a waste of time for me. I only had one
- 17:28Speaker 1: one woman that after it was over with, I looked
- 17:30Speaker 1: for her and she was gone, huh yeah, I want
- 17:37Speaker 1: to to marry her. I didn't find because the next
- 17:42Speaker 1: warrior out of my mouth was about six at the time.
- 17:49Speaker 1: He No, yeah, you want to continue to such a
- 17:56Speaker 1: romantic Well I was homeless. Hell yeah, you gotta do
- 18:02Speaker 1: what you got to do. She looked good and having
- 18:04Speaker 1: a partner you don't understand. Okay, So more questions, more questions,
- 18:15Speaker 1: or do you guys want to stick with that? Okay?
- 18:17Speaker 1: How well do you have to know someone before you
- 18:20Speaker 1: loan them money? M M Steve? You go last on
- 18:25Speaker 1: this one. Okay, I'm done with the loaning before before
- 18:31Speaker 1: before okay forty years, Yeah, I'm done. Yeah, it's gonna
- 18:38Speaker 1: have to be that. Oh my momma could have anything
- 18:40Speaker 1: I got. No, that's you now, that's you now, back
- 18:44Speaker 1: in the day, back in the day. Oh god, I
- 18:46Speaker 1: was I was too given m six months. Okay, then
- 18:51Speaker 1: you loan them some money. Okay, junior, I had to
- 18:55Speaker 1: know all your grandparents on both side. We we we
- 19:04Speaker 1: had we we had to have a friendship at least
- 19:08Speaker 1: at the very least. Yeah, we had to be considered friends.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Are really close, super cool? You know, maybe not, but
- 19:14Speaker 1: we're really cool. Before you asked me for something. Okay,
- 19:17Speaker 1: here's a good day. Right now, if you want ball
- 19:20Speaker 1: money from me? Uh you uh, you don't really lend
- 19:25Speaker 1: money now, No, but I'm loaning money. You'll give you.

- 19:38Speaker 1: have to know someone before you let them stay at
- 19:43Speaker 1: your house? Let them stay with you. That's a good one. Yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 1: you can't stay at my house. I don't give a
- 19:49Speaker 1: day who my family can't stay We can't stay at
- 19:55Speaker 1: my house. You're talking about comes stay with me? Yeah, no,
- 19:59Speaker 1: hell no, I don't care who. You know, you can't

- 20:05Speaker 1: never have they say, don't let me play until you
- 20:10Speaker 1: get on your feet. How what were you using when
- 20:13Speaker 1: you walk over fet own them, get on them and
- 20:18Speaker 1: go somewhere else. Now, I wouldn't let one of my
- 20:22Speaker 1: children come live with us, you know, if they're transitioning,
- 20:26Speaker 1: because one of them talking about doing that, coming to
- 20:29Speaker 1: l A and living, and so we'll let them stay
- 20:31Speaker 1: with us until they get their place. Oh cool, my kids,

- 21:08Speaker 1: then made the bed he used your bed. Yeah, but
- 21:12Speaker 1: then made the bed. Well, that's where the cleansing person
- 21:15Speaker 1: would do it and make the bed up right. Hey, dog,
- 21:18Speaker 1: change the sheets we slept. That's it. You don't change
- 21:23Speaker 1: your sheets after you sleep one night. Who did you

- 32:00Speaker 1: settling is the secret to a long and happy relationship.
- 32:05Speaker 1: That's right. Realizing that the grass isn't greener somewhere else,
- 32:08Speaker 1: and that the person you're with doesn't have to be
- 32:11Speaker 1: everything you're looking for but pretty darn close is the
- 32:15Speaker 1: secret to a lasting union. The study also reveals the
- 32:18Speaker 1: dating apps like Tender give us way too many options,
- 32:22Speaker 1: making it hard to believe that that person we are
- 32:25Speaker 1: with is the best one for us. So, Steve, what

- 32:47Speaker 1: with somebody who the good outweigh the bad because the
- 32:50Speaker 1: bad is coming. And then you gotta get somebody that's
- 32:53Speaker 1: worth struggling with. If they're not worth struggling with, you're
- 32:58Speaker 1: not gonna stay in the struggle, all right. You know,
- 33:05Speaker 1: I can't give advice on relationship nothing. I'm gonna just
- 33:09Speaker 1: be glad. But you say nothing, not a damn word,
- 33:14Speaker 1: Captain new co host. You can't see that new man
- 33:18Speaker 1: hush over. But the question, Yeah, the point is when
- 33:25Speaker 1: you can you tell my mic off you've been your things,
- 33:28Speaker 1: You've learned, you learned, you know, so you don't repeat
- 33:31Speaker 1: the same as learned it damn he just but Jay,

- 33:56Speaker 1: you've been married? Is your segment over all? Right, come on,

- 46:10Speaker 1: Did you go then and you do number one on
- 46:12Speaker 1: the side of mind? Well, what I'm saying is that
- 46:15Speaker 1: my wife tells me that when you were there that
- 46:19Speaker 1: you you went on the side. She was looking out
- 46:21Speaker 1: the windows. She said that when you was there that
- 46:23Speaker 1: you uh and went and used the bath room on
- 46:27Speaker 1: the side hole hole. I did what not to what right? You? You? You? You?
- 46:35Speaker 1: And you did number one over on the side of
- 46:37Speaker 1: the house. Not is that something that you did? Say? Man, Look,
- 46:41Speaker 1: you got to understand something. Man, all right now, I apologize.

- 46:59Speaker 1: of fluid and the tender pass through once a once again,
- 47:02Speaker 1: I said, I apologize. I understand all that, but you
- 47:05Speaker 1: know what, I can't accept no apologies like that when
- 47:08Speaker 1: I got a man this got on the side of
- 47:10Speaker 1: my house and then man, I'm apologizing on you and
- 47:14Speaker 1: you're coming off on me like that. You didn't you

- 49:35Speaker 1: what you don't do is at another man house and
- 49:39Speaker 1: that's what you did. And you know it ain't called
- 49:40Speaker 1: for now. You better had that hologize man, I had
- 49:44Speaker 1: to go. I told you I drink a lot of
- 49:46Speaker 1: fluids in this heat, man, So what else do you
- 49:49Speaker 1: want me to do? I want you to keep your
- 49:51Speaker 1: flui until you get to the service station down the street,

- 51:56Speaker 1: you're in this. This is your segment. You have to judge.

- 52:08Speaker 1: I mean I've been you know, you know you since

- 52:25Speaker 1: Be a text Okay, this is what I texting on.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Can you tell me what you think? Tell this boy,
- 52:32Speaker 1: if you break a mirror with a rabbit's foot, you
- 52:38Speaker 1: even ain't no bad little coming dog. If you break
- 52:47Speaker 1: a mirror with a rabbit's foot, you're even You're not
- 52:52Speaker 1: gonna get this seven night. Nothing's going to happen to
- 52:56Speaker 1: get even believe it not stupid falling out. I don't
- 53:05Speaker 1: really understand where he's coming from with that. I don't
- 53:09Speaker 1: know why he thinks like that. That right, there is
- 53:13Speaker 1: some ignorant thinking. What ain't the rack? And then the
- 53:19Speaker 1: bad luck it's been in years? Right if you break
- 53:23Speaker 1: it with what I'm saying, Yeah, no, no, nobody sees well.
- 53:29Speaker 1: The thing about this segment is I agree with the
- 53:31Speaker 1: thing he said, thank you, thank you. Here'll go to one.
- 53:36Speaker 1: He didn't even respond to. I seen, if you melt
- 53:39Speaker 1: dry ice, you can take a bath and not get wet.
- 53:47Speaker 1: That's that's the stupidest thing I can have yourself there. Listen, Wait, okay, wait,
- 53:54Speaker 1: what if you melt dry ice, you can take the
- 54:00Speaker 1: bath and get on where you had to keep explaining
- 54:03Speaker 1: to me? Do you guys? Listen with your asked Quinn.
- 54:16Speaker 1: All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 54:18Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letter. We'll be back. You're listening to the
- 54:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it is time for
- 54:27Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter. And if you need some help or
- 54:30Speaker 1: advice with a situation or an issue that you're dealing with,
- 54:33Speaker 1: please send us your Strawberry letter at Steve Harvey f
- 54:37Speaker 1: M dot com. Steve and I could read your letter
- 54:39Speaker 1: on the air and try to help you out. Nephew,
- 54:42Speaker 1: Let's go buckle up, hold on tight here. It is
- 54:47Speaker 1: all right, thank you. Subject lots of mess and no sex.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a twenty five year old woman.
- 54:56Speaker 1: I married my husband when I was nineteen years old,
- 54:59Speaker 1: and I am starting to believe that it was a mistake.
- 55:02Speaker 1: We both work. His days off are consistent, but my
- 55:06Speaker 1: days fluctuate. When I'm off, I clean and cook, I
- 55:10Speaker 1: take care of our two children, and I make sure
- 55:13Speaker 1: everyone has what they need. But lately I've been the
- 55:16Speaker 1: one who needs to be checked on to make sure
- 55:19Speaker 1: I'm good. He waits until I get home and ask
- 55:22Speaker 1: me what's for dinner instead of trying to cook something
- 55:25Speaker 1: for himself and the kids. I love my husband and
- 55:28Speaker 1: we have fun together, but I don't want to keep
- 55:31Speaker 1: feeling depressed and stressed out. I just want him to
- 55:35Speaker 1: take the darned trash out and pick up after himself.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Most of the messes aren't just from the kids. He's
- 55:42Speaker 1: messy too, so I have started with holding sex from him.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I'm not in the mood to have sex when my
- 55:48Speaker 1: house is not clean. Is it wrong for me to
- 55:51Speaker 1: keep the cookie from my husband? Is there a better
- 55:53Speaker 1: way to get him to help me out around the house?
- 55:55Speaker 1: Please help? Well, you guys have been married for six years. Um,
- 56:01Speaker 1: you don't say you say you're twenty married when you
- 56:03Speaker 1: were nineteen, and you don't give his age. But I
- 56:05Speaker 1: have to ask you, have you talked to him about this? Um?
- 56:09Speaker 1: Have you let him in on what you're feeling, how
- 56:12Speaker 1: unhappy you are and that you need help around the house.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Have you asked him to help it? Sounds like these
- 56:17Speaker 1: are feelings that you're having that that you just haven't
- 56:20Speaker 1: expressed to him a lot of times, depending on how
- 56:23Speaker 1: you say things, how you say things, you can get
- 56:27Speaker 1: your man to do just about anything, especially I mean
- 56:30Speaker 1: and at the very least take out the trash. Um
- 56:34Speaker 1: you start withholding sex and not telling him why, there
- 56:37Speaker 1: could be a serious problem in uh, in your marriage
- 56:41Speaker 1: for sure. I just think you know this is all
- 56:44Speaker 1: inside you're feeling, this rage, this passive aggressiveness. Let it
- 56:48Speaker 1: out at your house tooth you know you guys are
- 56:50Speaker 1: both working. Maybe you can, you know, talk about having
- 56:53Speaker 1: someone to come in and clean your house so you
- 56:55Speaker 1: won't be so tired, and then you know you'll get
- 56:58Speaker 1: the boasts of both worlds. You'll have um a clean house,
- 57:02Speaker 1: You'll you'll be rested, not depressed, not stressed out. Perhaps
- 57:06Speaker 1: you could do something like that, but first of all,
- 57:08Speaker 1: above anything, you have to talk to your husband and
- 57:11Speaker 1: let him know how you feel. Steep. Well, you know
- 57:16Speaker 1: they're twenty five, she's been married six years. You got
- 57:18Speaker 1: married at nineteen. That's she young. M that's very very young.
- 57:23Speaker 1: And so when you're young. Look, marriage is worked anyway,
- 57:29Speaker 1: but when you're young, you've got a lot of work
- 57:32Speaker 1: to put on yourself because you don't even know you yet.
- 57:36Speaker 1: And what could have happened here, young lady, is that
- 57:39Speaker 1: do you that you have become a twenty five after
- 57:42Speaker 1: two children? You cannot be the same person you work
- 57:45Speaker 1: with your nineteen That's absolutely impossible. You cannot be the
- 57:51Speaker 1: same person. So you've changed into this other person. And
- 57:55Speaker 1: what has happened between you and your husband is now
- 57:57Speaker 1: now that you've grown up and you've got these two
- 58:00Speaker 1: kids and you are twenty five and not nineteen. Well,
- 58:04Speaker 1: this person that you've become without proper communication might not
- 58:09Speaker 1: be a good match for who he is. And if
- 58:12Speaker 1: he hasn't progressed like you for example, he's still very messy.
- 58:17Speaker 1: You just wanted to pick up behind the self. You
- 58:19Speaker 1: want him to take out the trash your off days fluctuate.
- 58:22Speaker 1: You want when you come home from work. He's been
- 58:24Speaker 1: sitting there all day and stead of waiting, you could
- 58:26Speaker 1: come through the dot, Timbo, what's for dinner? He could
- 58:28Speaker 1: be doing something now because he's doing it this way, now,
- 58:32Speaker 1: you're holding the cookie from me. Is there a better
- 58:36Speaker 1: way to get him to help out around the house?
- 58:39Speaker 1: Please help. Cooking withdrawal is very real. Cooking Cooking withdrawal
- 58:50Speaker 1: gets everybody's undivided attention. I've been placed under cookie panic before.
- 59:01Speaker 1: It's stressful, you don't know when it's going in. It
- 59:08Speaker 1: creates a lot of things. But before I get into
- 59:11Speaker 1: the cookie pot, let me just tell you this right quick.
- 59:16Speaker 1: You're building up a resentment. You're starting to resent him
- 59:22Speaker 1: for his lack of understanding of your needs and your wants.
- 59:26Speaker 1: And like Shirley said, she said it best right you know.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Have you all even talked about it yet? You really
- 59:34Speaker 1: need to have a serious conversation. Now, let's get back
- 59:39Speaker 1: to this cookie never fired from it, because this is
- 59:43Speaker 1: what this letter really you were holden. Cookie you heard
- 59:50Speaker 1: the old saying cookie crumbles. That's the way, that's the
- 59:57Speaker 1: way the cookie crumble. Well, if that's how the cookie
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: gonna cumbing, and that's how to marriage crumb. But everybody's
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: gonna be crumbling right now. That was deep, Steve was
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: deep right there. Say that again, I don't know what
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I said. That's how to manage it. It was bearing
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: repeating and it can't do that. And you've got to
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: you've got to understand that. And see, once you start
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: using the cookie as a pond in the chest day,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: then when do you stop this? See, the best form
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: of the way to handle this is, like Shirley said, communication.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: So let's say you start with holding the cookie. Here's
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: the danger of withholding the cookie. He gotta get some
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: cookie somewhere, and it's cookies everywhere. They got cookies that route,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: they got cooking. So they got cookies that whole food
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: route save they got cookie down at the drugs. You
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: can buy cookies at CBS. You get cookies at the hotel.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Let's cookies on your job. It's cooking down there at
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: the post off. They got cookies that the Alps, you
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: get cook you cooking down and trying to rind A call.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: You go down to the restaurant. I'll be damn. They
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: got cookies. Talk about this cooking, cooking right here, and
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: let me tell you something really quick because I got
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: time to come back. When I come back, I tell
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: you what the different flavors of cookies mean and how
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: cooking flavors affects our taste. Yes, you know, I will
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: put ages two of them and everything when we come back.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Mind not a cook all right, you heard it. We'll
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: have part two if Steve's response. He's going to really
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: get into the cookie at twenty three after the hour.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, Steve, come on,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you promised us you were gonna tell us about this cookie. Um,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and so let's get into it part two of your
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: response to today's letter. See we're talking about cookie right now.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Lots of mess of no sex, that's the subject. Tired
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: of this man not cooking, cleaning, help, but with the
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: kids nothing. So now what he wanna do is now
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: he wants to she she wants to get a better
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: reaction from the man. So now she's with holding the cookie.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: With holding the cookie, what kind of cookie is she with?
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Let's start with my all time favorite cookie, chocolate chill.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Nothing has mattered more to me than chocolate chill. The
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: reason chocolate chiping been my favorite cookie is because of
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: the chocolate chill that's in the cooking. Lord, how good
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: is a chocolate chip cook It's a good cooker. It's
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: a good it's a good cooking. Then you got oatmeal, cookies, oldmeal,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: boat raisin with it, and there you gotta have raising
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: in that couch. See oldmeal by yourself ain't nothing. See
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: it's like I worked with a dude I called oatmeal man.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: He wasn't nothing. He needed something put on him all
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the time. See oatmeal oatmeal man is like a dude
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: that need honey, need brown sugar, needs some fruit. Because
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: oldmeal by yourself ain't nothing that I don't really careful
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: otmeal raising cooking. I eat it, but it's not my favorite.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: And oatmeal and then that leaves me to pee can

- 1:14:08Speaker 1: If I don't see the bag. Here, go the bag.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Throw it in the window on the door. I promise you,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: if you just throw it in the window, throw it
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: in the window. I got time the bag, So y'all,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: don't pull this trick again. Go to bag in How
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: about I open the bag and start counting to see
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: how much I already know what's in there. Throw it
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: throw the bag in the window first. You know what,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: we can actually buy a car with this bag. You
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: know what going on? We go, let's get the counting.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: It looks like a lot. Uh, we've got we've got
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: one to three. We've got five negroes on the side
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: the road with a black bag. Looks like it don't
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: be long to him up. Shut everybody yo ground, were
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: waiting at get the black ass on the cross. Shut up.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: We'll sing a group. You got one more time, little man,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: one more time? No man gets black ass on the ground.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: But love you. Everybody down on the ground now good. Yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: that was a warning shot. The next one goes in
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: you all right, hand me the bag, Hand me the bag.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: You ain't got time of it. Hand me the bag.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I don't shot before. I don't want to go through
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: that no more. We can't do a damn thing together.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: We can't take a road trip. They take a road trip.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: And oh, coming out more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Show at seven after the hour. You're listening to the
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, three comedians in
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: the building. Huh, I have a kind of sort of
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: jay you might get mad, kind of you you probably, Okay,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: it's about relationships and mad right, So have you guys
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: ever dated or been married to someone or been a
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: relationship with someone? I'm not done, Steve already who they've
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: dated you because of your stage personna, who you were
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: on stage. You know they wanted that guy, that funny
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: guy on stage. They wanted that all the time. So
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: that's why they dated you, not because a lot of
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: you sometimes. You know, you guys are quiet off the
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: mic and killed and serious off the mic. We know,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Steve is So have you guys been in a relationship
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: like that before? You haven't? That just won't in me
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: for that. Tommy's family there's a whole different about to
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: be so different now, the whole families. I don't mean,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I don't mean some of his people, all his people
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: is in his so he he can't get in this alright, Alright,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: can I answer the question? Yeah, everybody that with me,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: that has ever been with me like what they saw
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: on stage, off stage, ant with for Dan, because they
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: like what they something on stage, and then once they
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: find out what I am, what I am, I'm what
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: you're about, they're like it. But that was difference. I
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: don't I think what most comedians, we're just not on
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: all the time, and people expect us to be on
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: all the time. Most comedians don't even like to hear jokes.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Don't even tell us, don't want no tell me here's
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: a joke. We don't want to hear it. And so
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: what you see on the stage and what you they
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: just totally different and their lives the problem. So they
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: want that funny guy making all the time. Well, okay,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: surely asked the question again, I'm gonna give it to you. Okay,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: So have you ever dated anyone or been in a
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: relationship with anyone, or even married been married to someone
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: who confused your stage persona with the person that you
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: really are. I mean, I know it's all you, but
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: like Jay said, Steve, they want you to be on
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: all the time. Now, I've actually used the fact that
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I am on stage to get you working, working, baby
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: work it uh huh. You know why you laughing, point
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: that you winking, you're having a good time, smiling back
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: at you, y'all us all that, and how did it work?
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: So and so once you got them, then what the
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: yeah you don't feel like performing anymore? Well, we working
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: exiting because you know, movie starts say that a lot
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: people fall in love with their whoever their character they're
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: playing on the screen, and they think they're, you know,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: that same person when they get home. Expect anyone that
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: guy on stage should be that way all the time.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Most stand ups are quiet, a lot more serious people. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: I am Thomas Miles at home scared. I'm Tommy here.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: She knows the difference. Oh, we all know the difference.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: I'm alone here, I'm alone at home. You really there
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: has been some confusion between Thomas Miles, nephew, Tommy and Tommy. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: You have a lot of people in your head, some
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: people in there, and you don't you explain to us
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: to difference. Thomas Smiles is the owner of all of this. Alright, Well,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: who is he? He's the serious guy. He's the guy
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: that's that's trying to succeed in a in a in
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: the acting world of Hollywood. He's that guy. He's having
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: to play these other two people. He don't want to
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: need memory. I have a question, out of all the
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: characters inside you, I know she's going which one gets
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: mad the quickest. Eugene, this is true. I have another
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: question you're on an island. On an island, you got
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: to vote one of the characters. All who do you
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: vote off the butterfly against? Got to get his moaning complaining.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: I know you would say Thomas Miles for that one,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: because he's no. You need Tommy on that island, not
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Tommy Thomas Thomas Miles. Yeah, when you need that, but
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: his bulls as Thomas Miles is bullish. Five in a
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: shadeau gated community, heat the house from Gillian. We had
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: all that we need nothing about swimming pools, rocks, you
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: know that type of stuff. Other kids come to his
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: kids house, electronic gates, nephew. Tommy is gillick Um. Thomas
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Miles is professor Howe Ginger Merrick. You're gonna turn this corner,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: You're gonna turn this I bet I won't be up
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: in your heads. People enjoy yourself. So what you're saying,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: it's too different people. It's well not you're the same person,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: but just an extension of your personality on stage. Yeah,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: you're the funny guy always on on stage, but off stage,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: you know it's it's you're doing is exactly who I am,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: just in an exaggerated exasperated unfiltered forum. I can see
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: that he'll get you back out there. One mote. He's
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: itching to go, you know he is. You know we're
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: at the JASP. I know you want a whole hour. Alright,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, ladies
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: and gentlemen, get ready. We consult in an expert because
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: we wanted to know the real deal. Okay, Steve is
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: here with his breakup handbook. All right, Jesus. Things that
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: you need to have in mind after the break up.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Most most of this is for fellas, because when we
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: take a breakup hard, it's ugly. It's ugly out there. Now.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: These are things from Steve Harvey's Breakup Handbook, how to
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: act when you break up. Here's rule number one. You
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: are allowed only one drunk die. You know how you
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: call him up when you drunk? You only get the one.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: And it sounds like something like this, Hello is me?
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: You know who me here? Don't you know who? Men
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: play with my emotions? Is me? You know you're you
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: know who? Mew many get one? Get one of them
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: all right now here's the next rule. You are not
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: allowed to roll up on your ex just because you
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: see that car parked outside the club, the restaurant, or church.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: You can't do that. Short we broke up, I can't
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: go in there if I see the car. You can
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: know you can't roll up on them. Now. I got
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: something with church later on, but just stay there, stay
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: out right, you girl, can't roll up on them. Oh
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: that she is, I'm gonna go in now. Oh that
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: he is, I'm going in there. You can't do that,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: call alright. Next one y'all's favorite spot. It's off limits
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: to both parties for at least four months. Tell nobody
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: else over there the spot at least four months. Here's
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: another one. Texting your favorite song to each other is
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: off me. You can listen to it, you can cry
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: to it. You're playing over and over, but you can't
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: send it. So I'm trying to move on and I'm
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: killing now. Listen to this. All y'all, stuff, all possessions
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: is collected at one time, and one time. Anything that's
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: left behind will be thrown away by both parts. Like
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: you ain't don't keep coming over here looking for stuff.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: You can't keep coming back over here. I got coming
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: to you in the closet looking for your tank top.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: You ever hit a big one? Right here? Nobody is
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: allowed to talk to each other's mama. That's the one,
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: and you k be friers with mama come home. Yeah,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: at least that's a good one, Steve. I like trying
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: to pick up some greens and you and here talking
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: rolling your ass when I walk into the Yeah, here's
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: the next one. Yeah, okay, all parties. She find a
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: new church home? Yes, but yeah, coming up, it's more
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at thirty three after
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: the hour. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Carla,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: you just saw a small lizard or a little geico
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: in your house. Yes, girl, I had a fit ill.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: I'm sorry you didn't stop that gecko. I know what
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: you mean. Yeah, So what happened? Now? He was crawling
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: in the house by the fireplace. Girl, I jumped on
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: the couch because you don't you don't like snakes or
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: so okay, So Steve, I gotta ask you, have you
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: ever seen any kind of lizard or getto or anything
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: crawling and it frightened you in your house? Or it
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: made you scared. No, I've never had lizard spider. Now
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: we've been on vacation and we were in Africa. As
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: a matter of fact, I've taken the family and when
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: I say lizard, now listen to me. We're in Africa.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: Don't worry about Geko, that little green thing that talk
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: on the commandery. No, that ain't what had got in
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: lloyd bathroom. Oh yeah, this one had a little bit mold.
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: What what you're gonna do? This was This was the mama,
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna stomp you and then I'm gonna stomp you.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: It's what I thought that lizard was said. So Laurid
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: was gonna take a shower. She started running the water.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: I don't know how this big ass thing got in
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: the shower, but it's probably about almost a foot long,
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: almost a ruler. Ruler wasn't real big and heavy, but
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: it's about a foot long with the tail there. So
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: come right, now, we're in Africa. So now I got
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: I ain't just bust in there. She out with the
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: tie around her in the living room in front of
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: the whole family. So we got to think before we
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: just run in this Africa, because this is Africa. This
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: do I need it good? What is because I was
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: thinking rhinoceros or something like that. So I said, Lloyd,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: what is it? And she just shaking. Oh my god,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: I got Dad, I can't go there, believe's go get it. Well,
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: I'm not gonna go in there until I get more information. Now,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: the people at the lodge dayn't here because we're in
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: the villa. Yeah, we're probably about maybe fifty yards from
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: the main lodge. So you know, I'm sorry. I'll get
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: her to calm down. She said, I don't know what
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: it is, but it's so big and it's in the shower.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: I knew the shower was glass. I said, was it
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: on the floor? She said it was in the middle
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: of the wall. I said, okay, I go in there.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: I see this big ass lizard in the middle of
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: the wall. And I said that scared me too. Doing something, Daddy.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: Everybody behind me. So now I'm Dad, I gotta do something.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: So I'm looking. So I then I hear, don't kill it.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Who's in that? Somebody to do? Don't kill it all
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: the kid, don't kill it, Daddy, set it free. I
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: hear you think I'm from the open doors. I'm not
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: opening this damn dough. You know what we're in the jungle?
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: Uh dog, I know how to stand. If I walked
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: him out, through him outside and told all the kids
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: I let him out, he gone. So you just out nolied.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Coming up Steve's closing remarks at forty nine after the hour,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: gather round everyone, you're listening to st show. Here are
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: our last break of the day. Steve's closing remarks. What
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: you got for Steve? All right? Uh listen uh to day.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: This morning before we got on the hour, was sitting
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: I was talking to j Anthony and uh, Junior, you're
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: having a conversation and they said, man, you should do
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: that for your clothing remarks today. So this is based
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: on a conversation we have. We were talking about advancing
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: in life, but we were having a conversation about what
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: you are willing to do to advance in life? Are
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: you are you willing to drop everything? Are you willing
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: to make sacrifices? What are you willing to do to
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: get to where you really want to be? So what
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: we were talking, I was talking about a person that
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: I know that had a decision to make. He has
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: a he has a nice home, he has a good job,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: and he lives in a certain city. Right now, He's
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: got a nice home, a good job, and lives in
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: a certain city. An opportunity was presented to him, but
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: the opportunity was in another city. But if he took
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: this opportunity, he would have a better job and which
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: would enable him to buy and even nicer home. He
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: didn't do it. As I was talking to my friend
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: about Man, why didn't you do it? He said, Hey, man,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: because I'm comfortable here. I'm all right with this, he said, Man,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: my job, it's all right, he said. My house is cool. Man,
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: It's a little small, but but it's cool. And I
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: like living here. Man. I got some friends, I got
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: some family hered this city right here. I'm gonna just
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: go home. Stay here. End of conversation. Steve, I know what,
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: You're gonna try to talk to me out of it.
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: But end of conversation. So I stopped talking to him.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: But when I left him, I was sad. I was
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: so sad for this guy, and it never ever stopped
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: bothering me. What he said. He said, I'm okay here,
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna just stay here. My job is all right, man,
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: this house, it's a little small, but the city cool.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: I got some family and friends. It's cool. I know
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: you're gonna try to talk me out of it, Steve,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: but I'm I'm good right here. But that decision he
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: made really bother me because, Man, I'll tell you why
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: you troubled me so because I said, Wow, here's a
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: guy that I know who had looked over the fence
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: with me. Man, the dude I grew up with. Man.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: We used to ride our bikes, sit on the steps
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: playing that's my car when they came back. This is
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: the same dude. Man. We used to ride our bikes
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: and act like we was riding out the country. Me
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: and my dude. Man. We always talked about doing something big,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: and when the opportunity came, he froze because he was comfortable.
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: He was comfortable with his alright job and his house
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: that wasn't really big enough, in the city of friends
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: and family that he had. He didn't want to go
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: to the new city. He didn't want the job that
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: paid more. He didn't want the opportunity to buy a
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: bigger home because it would have taken him out of
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: his comfort zone. Because he wasn't comfortable in the new city.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: He was comfortable in the current city, and he was
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: already it just worked himself up to say, I'm okay
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: with my house the way it is. You can be
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: okay with the house you will, You can be okay
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: with the job you You can be okay with the
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: car you drive. But if opportunity presents itself to be good,
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: to become great. There are three things I'm about to
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: give you, and all three things save the exact same thing.
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: I'm just saying that three different ways in case you
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: got to hear it the best way you need to
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: hear These are all three the same thing, just which
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: one fits you back. You can't get there if you're
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: never attempted to go there one more time. You cannot
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: get there if you never attempt to go there, same thing,
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: different way of saying it. You can't go if you
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: never leave. Did my father say this to me all time?
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: You can't go, boy, if you never leave, you know, man,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: you you can't go. If your feet don't move, you
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: just can't. You can't go if you don't leave where
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: you're going. If you don't leave, if you don't leave,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: you ain't going away. You got to leave something to
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: get to the next level. The next level requires you
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: to leave. The next level requires you to go. You
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: can't stay right here and get over there. You cannot. Man,
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: here's the third way to look at it. You have
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: to leave. If you want to grow, you cannot grow
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: staying there. You cannot expect to grow if you're unwilling
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: to change. If you're unwilling to change, you cannot expect
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: to grow. You can't, y'all. Let me say I'm till
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: you again. You can't get there if you never attempt
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: to go there. Maybe that's the way you're like here,
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: and how about this way right here? You can't go
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: if you never leave, you gotta leave somewhere to go somewhere.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: You can't go be great and stay the same and
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: not be willing to change. I ain't changing. Oh well, bro,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: you you you what? What do you mean? You're not
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: changing this? I am no man. Growth requires that you change.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: Last one. You have to leave if you want to grow.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: I had to leave Cleveland to go become who I am.
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: You may have to leave your city. You may have
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: to leave your situation. You may have to leave your
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: your town, your job, You may have to leave a relationship.
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: But You're gonna have to leave something. If you want
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: to grow, you ain't gonna growing hold on everything. That's
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: not what those are. My closing bos thinks about it.
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: Make a move, Make a move, have yourself a great weekend.
