- 2:08Speaker 5: voice come on dig me now, one and only Steve
- 2:11Speaker 5: Harvey got a radio show. I feel it's necessary to
- 2:15Speaker 5: explain what I.
- 2:16Speaker 6: Say in the morning because somebody asked me, what do
- 2:18Speaker 6: you mean by that when you say that in the morning.
- 2:21Speaker 6: When I say, uh huh, it's in response to David
- 2:26Speaker 6: Hollister opening the song by saying, go ahead, big Daddy,
- 2:30Speaker 6: go ahead, I said, uh huh, I show will. Then
- 2:34Speaker 6: I say good morning everybody, because I was raised a rage.
- 2:37Speaker 6: You're supposed to speak when you come in the room.
- 2:39Speaker 6: I'm coming in y'all's room, whether it's your bedroom, the
- 2:43Speaker 6: room in your house, your car, your office, you know,
- 2:47Speaker 6: wherever you're at. I come in the room, or God speaks,
- 2:49Speaker 6: I say good morning, everybody, you are listening to the voice.
- 2:53Speaker 6: And then I got to introduce myself because as a performer,
- 2:57Speaker 6: I always felt my best when I was in no
- 3:01Speaker 6: why would you walk out on stage anybody introduce you.
- 3:04Speaker 6: You can't get a round of applause. It's just it's horrible.
- 3:07Speaker 6: So I say, you are listening to the voice one
- 3:10Speaker 6: and only Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. Now
- 3:14Speaker 6: that's old school. I got that, but that's I was
- 3:17Speaker 6: once again.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Dig me? Now?
- 3:19Speaker 6: Is I want you to feel what I'm about to say.
- 3:22Speaker 6: That's all I'm saying. That's not a bragging thing. You
- 3:26Speaker 6: know you are listening to the voice one and only
- 3:29Speaker 6: Steve Harvey. Come on, dig me now. I'm just asking
- 3:33Speaker 6: you to feel what I'm saying in the morning because
- 3:35Speaker 6: it's part of a promise that I made to God.
- 3:38Speaker 6: See a long time ago, I told God, if he
- 3:41Speaker 6: allowed me to make it, that when I got there,
- 3:44Speaker 6: I would tell everybody I know how I did it,
- 3:48Speaker 6: and I wasn't gonna shortcut it or shade him on it.
- 3:51Speaker 6: I said, if you allow me to make it, if
- 3:53Speaker 6: you give me the strength, the courage, the wisdom, you
- 3:57Speaker 6: gave me a gift, if you let me apply, don't
- 4:01Speaker 6: destroy myself in the process. Forgive me for my sins
- 4:05Speaker 6: along the way, continue to hold and rock me when
- 4:08Speaker 6: I need it. When I make it, I promise you Lord,
- 4:13Speaker 6: when I get there, I will tell everybody how I
- 4:16Speaker 6: made it.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Well.
- 4:18Speaker 6: This started back in LA when I got on the
- 4:22Speaker 6: radio and I was making it okay. I was doing okay,
- 4:27Speaker 6: but I had to keep my promise to God. My
- 4:30Speaker 6: promise was, if you allow me to make it, I'll
- 4:33Speaker 6: tell everybody how I got there. I have to tell
- 4:37Speaker 6: you that every day because if it was not for
- 4:41Speaker 6: that grace and mercy, I wouldn't even be here able
- 4:45Speaker 6: to fulfill my promise. Because I've done enough dirt in
- 4:48Speaker 6: my life. Man to not be worthy. He could have
- 4:52Speaker 6: easily walked away from me a long time ago because
- 4:55Speaker 6: I had show walked away from him. See, and I
- 4:59Speaker 6: didn't walk away away from him once. I walked away
- 5:01Speaker 6: from him a bunch of times. But guess what he
- 5:05Speaker 6: forgave me a bunch of times. I'm a living example
- 5:10Speaker 6: of hundreds of chances. His forgiveness and his mercy is
- 5:17Speaker 6: available for everybody.
- 5:19Speaker 1: The only reason I.
- 5:20Speaker 6: Get on this show every day. It's the only reason
- 5:22Speaker 6: I have the blessings that's come in my way. It's
- 5:25Speaker 6: the only way that the things that keep happening in
- 5:28Speaker 6: my life, man, that I have no explanation for, is
- 5:32Speaker 6: because of His grace and mercy. See, anytime something good
- 5:37Speaker 6: happens in my life and I can't explain it, that's
- 5:40Speaker 6: usually him, he exhibits to me. Remember, I'm a forgiving god.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Man. Remember, So when you fall, Steve, don't lay down there.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Don't you lay down there.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Don't you let the devil fool you that because you'd
- 5:54Speaker 6: have made some mistakes that you ain't that you can't
- 5:57Speaker 6: do it because everybody gonna make them. It's none perfect, no,
- 6:01Speaker 6: not once. So get up, keep moving, keep pushing, step
- 6:05Speaker 6: on what you're laying there for. Your daddy didn't raise
- 6:10Speaker 6: you that way. Look, man, my father was just about manhood.
- 6:13Speaker 6: I'm gonna just tell you. My daddy never had a
- 6:16Speaker 6: conversation with me about church. He beat me for not going,
- 6:19Speaker 6: but you know a couple of times, but he wasn't
- 6:22Speaker 6: about that wasn't his message. That was my mama's job.
- 6:25Speaker 6: My mama taught me about being saved, about loving the Lord,
- 6:29Speaker 6: about giving your life, about the teachings of Jesus Christ.
- 6:33Speaker 6: My mama was a Sunday school teacher, so I got
- 6:35Speaker 6: all of that from her. My old man ain't had
- 6:38Speaker 6: none of that for me. My old man talked to
- 6:40Speaker 6: me about one thing all day long, hard working manhood,
- 6:43Speaker 6: and well you're gonna get that if you don't get
- 6:45Speaker 6: nothing else from me. He gave that to me, so
- 6:47Speaker 6: I got it. See, so, my father, you say, excuse
- 6:51Speaker 6: my language, but you ain't gonna sit there like no
- 6:53Speaker 6: little punk up in here. You ain't what you're finna do.
- 6:55Speaker 6: You finna get up and go do what you're supposed
- 6:57Speaker 6: to do. Now, stop all that whine like some little
- 7:00Speaker 6: punkin gone get the movie. That's how my father talked
- 7:02Speaker 6: to me. Now, I'm just telling you real. It worked
- 7:04Speaker 6: for me, though, And before you start emailing me, that
- 7:07Speaker 6: had nothing to do with homosexuality at all.
- 7:11Speaker 1: It's just that was his term for a man not
- 7:13Speaker 1: acting like a man.
- 7:15Speaker 6: That's all it was. It was not a gay reference
- 7:18Speaker 6: at all. I want you to understand that before you
- 7:19Speaker 6: started emailing me. So my daddy wasn't calling. That was
- 7:23Speaker 6: not a sexual reference for him. My father talked to
- 7:25Speaker 6: us that's what he meant. I knew exactly what he meant.
- 7:28Speaker 6: He couldn't amit nothing if he ain't even know nothing
- 7:29Speaker 6: about that. My man clueless when it come to that
- 7:32Speaker 6: right there. So when I was getting down and feeling
- 7:36Speaker 6: bad about myself, my old man, he taught me this toughness.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Man, He gave me this grit, this doggedness, this go
- 7:43Speaker 1: to work and work hard.
- 7:44Speaker 6: That's why today, when God does bless me with something,
- 7:48Speaker 6: he ain't got to worry about me not working hard
- 7:51Speaker 6: because that's in me. And when I get tired, I
- 7:55Speaker 6: asked that same God for strift to keep on doing
- 7:59Speaker 6: so I can do all the blessings he got for me.
- 8:01Speaker 6: So when you ask me how you gonna do all this,
- 8:04Speaker 6: Steve Harvey, I don't know. I ain't got to figure
- 8:07Speaker 6: that out. All I got to do is show up
- 8:10Speaker 6: with the same amount of faith of being showing up
- 8:12Speaker 6: with God handled the rest of it. See y'all, Hey man,
- 8:16Speaker 6: let me tell you something. I don't see how you
- 8:18Speaker 6: do it. I don't either, Can I get you, hey man, newsflash?
- 8:22Speaker 1: Let me hear. I don't see how you doing all that? Steve?
- 8:25Speaker 1: You doing this?
- 8:25Speaker 7: You doing that?
- 8:26Speaker 6: Can I tell you something I don't either I just
- 8:29Speaker 6: wake up with the faith man and trusting that if
- 8:32Speaker 6: He gonna bless me with it, he must be gonna
- 8:34Speaker 6: show me a way how to get it done. See,
- 8:36Speaker 6: I ain't tripping on that part. See, once you take
- 8:39Speaker 6: yourself out the how to business, you can go on
- 8:42Speaker 6: and get with it. But see, if you're gonna trip
- 8:45Speaker 6: yourself out with the how to, you can't think like
- 8:47Speaker 6: God can think. You can't figure like God can figure.
- 8:50Speaker 6: So now you sitting up in here, God Lord, I
- 8:52Speaker 6: want this to happen for me. Then I don't know
- 8:55Speaker 6: how I'm gonna do all that. Well, guess what you
- 8:57Speaker 6: in the way?
- 8:58Speaker 3: Now?
- 8:59Speaker 1: See you? Now you and the way?
- 9:00Speaker 6: Because see God ain't asked you to figure out how to.
- 9:03Speaker 6: He said ask and believe. Then he said faith without
- 9:09Speaker 6: works is dead. That's my solution. That's the concoction that
- 9:13Speaker 6: I'm functioning on. All I got to do is accept
- 9:17Speaker 6: the blessing, keep the faith, be willing to work and
- 9:20Speaker 6: believe God can do anything but fail. Why would God
- 9:26Speaker 6: bring me this far to leave me? Why would he
- 9:30Speaker 6: bring you this far to leave you?
- 9:34Speaker 1: So why I get up every morning? I have no choice?
- 9:39Speaker 6: I got to get up in here to rest. When
- 9:41Speaker 6: I'm running late, Man, I try to plow through here.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Sometime I don't make it. Man, I got to do
- 9:45Speaker 1: a rerun.
- 9:45Speaker 6: But I plow through here because man, Steve, you're gonna
- 9:48Speaker 6: run out something to say. Nah, I'm gonna just keep thinking.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Now.
- 9:51Speaker 6: You can't run out of that, can you, because you
- 9:52Speaker 6: owe him that. Matter of fact, when I get through talking,
- 9:55Speaker 6: I really ain't thanked him enough.
- 9:57Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harveymore Show.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:08Speaker 6: Letting me clear my thoat. Welcome to the riot, everybody.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Come starting our day off with gratitude. That will affect
- 10:22Speaker 6: your attitude, which is in direct correlation with your altitude.
- 10:25Speaker 6: It does not change. Please be grateful today. Please show
- 10:31Speaker 6: some gratitude. It's okay. You may not be where you
- 10:35Speaker 6: want to be, but think of all you have accomplished.
- 10:39Speaker 6: Think of the job, the home you have that you
- 10:42Speaker 6: used to didn't have, the car you got that you
- 10:45Speaker 6: used to didn't own. Remember that, Remember when you just
- 10:49Speaker 6: was out there looking for a job and you got one.
- 10:52Speaker 6: That's what we're trying to get you to understand today
- 10:55Speaker 6: that there are plenty of reasons to be grateful and
- 10:58Speaker 6: the big one he woke you up today.
- 11:00Speaker 1: This is Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Shirley Strawberry, Wisconsint is currently experiencing technical difficulties.
- 11:08Speaker 1: We will have her shortly, hopefully calling for.
- 11:11Speaker 6: Real Mississippi Monica Junior and the legend that is Nephew
- 11:14Speaker 6: Tommas jun.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Y'all, yes, sir, let's talk about it. Okay, what's going on?
- 11:21Speaker 1: I had to clear my throats. Your throats sound the
- 11:25Speaker 1: same all.
- 11:26Speaker 8: The time, don't worry about that.
- 11:30Speaker 9: Let me ask you this up man, do you have
- 11:32Speaker 9: to be selfish with achieving your goals? Or can you
- 11:34Speaker 9: get there being selfless?
- 11:39Speaker 2: You know you have to have.
- 11:44Speaker 6: The selfishness part comes in with you have to All
- 11:49Speaker 6: successful people monitor their time. Like if you've committed X
- 11:55Speaker 6: amount of time to the grind, then you have to
- 11:58Speaker 6: be selfish with giving out that time. If you know
- 12:02Speaker 6: that you've committed yourself to the day for the grind,
- 12:05Speaker 6: for the hustle, for the goal, for the dream, then yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 6: you have to be selfish with that time. You can't
- 12:11Speaker 6: allow people to come in with meaningless stuff to do.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Hey man, you don't go over here and smoke a
- 12:17Speaker 6: little bit. Hey man, I got something to do. Oh man,
- 12:20Speaker 6: you don't ever want to you be on one? Yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 6: I'm on one.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 6: So there is a bit of selfishness that you have
- 12:28Speaker 6: to have, but I think that's in terms of time management.
- 12:33Speaker 1: You cannot allow yourself.
- 12:35Speaker 6: To be picked and taken apart by other people that
- 12:39Speaker 6: ain't on the same mission you on. And when you
- 12:42Speaker 6: try to be selfless and you try to be all
- 12:45Speaker 6: that for everybody, you're gonna lose because you cannot be
- 12:50Speaker 6: everything to everybody. And I think all of you know,
- 12:54Speaker 6: I don't care what you do. You can't make some
- 12:56Speaker 6: people happy.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You just can't do it.
- 12:59Speaker 6: I don't care what you do for them. You can
- 13:02Speaker 6: loan it, gifted to them, hand it to them, and
- 13:05Speaker 6: it just it ain't. It ain't no end to some people.
- 13:08Speaker 6: So and then they use that man, you know, I know,
- 13:12Speaker 6: you got it. Man, You ain't gonna help a brother out.
- 13:14Speaker 6: They use guilt and they require you to be selfless
- 13:17Speaker 6: to them. But you have to be selfish when it
- 13:20Speaker 6: comes to people like that, and you have to be
- 13:22Speaker 6: selfish with your time. That's the only way to make it.
- 13:26Speaker 6: You got to be dogmatic, man, You gotta be you
- 13:29Speaker 6: got to be head over, you got to be bit.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm about it. You are you are that all right?
- 13:38Speaker 10: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, run
- 13:41Speaker 10: that prank back with the nephew.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 13:45Speaker 11: You're listening Hardy Morning Show. You've heard us talk about
- 13:53Speaker 11: the benefits of Globe Life insurance. Globe Life has been
- 13:56Speaker 11: protecting families for generations. Globe Life is easy to buy,

- 14:52Speaker 1: trying to reach Dre. Andre.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Yeah, this is Andre.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Hey, Dre.
- 14:56Speaker 7: You the person that runs the media at the church.
- 14:59Speaker 7: You over the sound system and everything and all the
- 15:02Speaker 7: screens and all that stuff.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I work with the church.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Okay, how long you been at the church.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Man, I've probably been at the church for like five
- 15:10Speaker 3: years now.
- 15:10Speaker 1: About five years.
- 15:11Speaker 7: Okay, okay, listen, my name Doug Man, Doug Newsom, and
- 15:15Speaker 7: I haven't I haven't joined the church yet, but I've
- 15:18Speaker 7: been coming because my cousin, you know, my uh my
- 15:21Speaker 7: cousin them go there, and they've been going there for
- 15:23Speaker 7: quite a bit. My cousin I got, I got one
- 15:26Speaker 7: cousin that's in the choir LaTrece. You know who litrece is, right.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I know who the trece.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Doug. You ain't a member of.
- 15:33Speaker 7: The church yet, No, No, I'm not a member of
- 15:35Speaker 7: the church yet, but you know, I've been in there.
- 15:37Speaker 7: You know, I'm liking the service and everything. So you know,
- 15:40Speaker 7: it's just a matter of time, you know, Uh, when
- 15:43Speaker 7: I feel like I'm ready to actually join, but I
- 15:46Speaker 7: ain't gonna lie.
- 15:47Speaker 9: Man.
- 15:47Speaker 7: I'm calling you because I got a bit of an
- 15:49Speaker 7: issue about, uh, about something I've been noticing for the
- 15:52Speaker 7: last three weeks that's been going on in the church,
- 15:55Speaker 7: and I wanted to uh, you know, I had to
- 15:56Speaker 7: ask around who was over the media.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that's yeah, that's that's you.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Man.
- 16:02Speaker 7: Okay, So uh, man, I don't know what's happening. Uh
- 16:07Speaker 7: And and I ain't gonna lie. I gotta be real
- 16:09Speaker 7: with you. It pissed me off. But for the last
- 16:11Speaker 7: three weeks. You know, when my cousin get ready to sing,
- 16:16Speaker 7: you know, I don't know why when she get up
- 16:18Speaker 7: the same that the mic just go out, you know
- 16:21Speaker 7: what I mean, the mic just go completely out when
- 16:23Speaker 7: she getting ready to sing.
- 16:24Speaker 1: And I'm like, what this don't make no sense, you know.
- 16:27Speaker 3: So man, it's not like I'm tiring it.
- 16:29Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I mean, we don't have the best equipment at the church,
- 16:32Speaker 3: you know, we we just got to work for what
- 16:34Speaker 3: we got. I mean, it's not like I'm sitting there
- 16:36Speaker 3: trying to sing about your cousin. Sometimes the MIC's get
- 16:40Speaker 3: a glitch, man, But.
- 16:40Speaker 1: See but see that. But see that's my problem.
- 16:42Speaker 10: Though.
- 16:42Speaker 7: The problem I'm having is the glitch happening every single
- 16:46Speaker 7: time my cousin get the mic.
- 16:48Speaker 2: You know.
- 16:48Speaker 7: That's that's the problem I'm having. Like, Okay, so every
- 16:50Speaker 7: time the trees get up there the same then you know,
- 16:53Speaker 7: the mic go out. I didn't came three weeks straight.
- 16:55Speaker 7: I ain't hear my cousins saying nothing yet. So I'm
- 16:58Speaker 7: calling you brouh on you know, on some real man
- 17:01Speaker 7: the man stuff, just letting you know, bro, I'm coming
- 17:03Speaker 7: to church again this Sunday. I'm coming Now. If LaTrece
- 17:07Speaker 7: might go out again, Hey dog, somebody gonna.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Get this wood.
- 17:13Speaker 3: You're gonna bring that energy to church, say, wasn't I
- 17:17Speaker 3: You're gonna.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Bring that energy to church?
- 17:18Speaker 3: I told you, man, this is the glitch. Ain't nothing
- 17:21Speaker 3: I could do about it.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Okay. What I'm saying though, Bro, what I'm saying is
- 17:25Speaker 1: just right here though, And I'm being as real as
- 17:26Speaker 1: I can.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Which if if Latrice might go out on Sunday, immediately
- 17:32Speaker 7: after that service is over with somebody getting.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I don't know why you calling threatening a member of
- 17:38Speaker 3: the church. Man, Like I said, I ain't got nothing
- 17:40Speaker 3: to do with it. I try to keep everything running cool,
- 17:43Speaker 3: you know, I try to keep the running smooth. I
- 17:45Speaker 3: can't tell you when a glitch is gonna happen. It's electronics, man,
- 17:48Speaker 3: it's only quitmen. I'd love for you to be a

- 22:38Speaker 10: And the twenty twenty five iHeartRadio Music Festival lineup is out.
- 22:44Speaker 10: I'll try to tell you about that in Music News
- 22:46Speaker 10: at the top of the hour, but right now it's
- 22:48Speaker 10: time to ask the clo aiming at Savannah, Steve, I
- 22:53Speaker 10: play the Oregon at two different churches on Sundays and
- 22:57Speaker 10: I get two hundred dollars every week. I saved the
- 23:01Speaker 10: money to fix my boat. But my wife wants some
- 23:04Speaker 10: money to pay for weight loss shots. Is it my
- 23:09Speaker 10: four thousand, four hundred that I saved or am I
- 23:14Speaker 10: obligated to share it with my wife?
- 23:19Speaker 6: Weight loss? Well, let's look at it like this. If
- 23:24Speaker 6: you get your boat and she don't lose the weight,
- 23:28Speaker 6: she gonna flip it over.
- 23:29Speaker 1: You know what.
- 23:30Speaker 3: That's him.
- 23:32Speaker 1: See, you got to do better.
- 23:34Speaker 6: I think I think you're gonna understand what we're dealing
- 23:37Speaker 6: with here. Now you don't let her get these weight
- 23:39Speaker 6: loss shots and you buy that boat, it's gonna sink.
- 23:43Speaker 6: She gonna flip it over. It's gonna sink. That was
- 23:45Speaker 6: now your boat gone. Let me see, man, that's a
- 23:54Speaker 6: tough one because man, this dude has been doing this
- 23:57Speaker 6: so he could do this, and now she wants to
- 23:59Speaker 6: get some weight loss shots.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Wow, weight loss shots.
- 24:05Speaker 10: I guess well, you know they're expensive, both shots of
- 24:08Speaker 10: zempic and all that.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of pricey. I don't know how you
- 24:17Speaker 1: need a shot she get on that boat, though, I'm
- 24:20Speaker 1: definitely look.
- 24:24Speaker 10: The boat, Yes, boat shots.
- 24:29Speaker 1: What you think, well, you is he's four thousand dollars
- 24:33Speaker 1: to fix the boat or buy a boat.
- 24:36Speaker 6: What did he say, fix Oh, yeah, well did she'd
- 24:41Speaker 6: have flipped it already, so you gotta fix it?
- 24:44Speaker 1: Yeah, she already flipped it one time. Brou you're going.
- 24:51Speaker 10: Uh?
- 24:53Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 24:53Speaker 6: For me, man, I would I would let my wife
- 24:56Speaker 6: get the weight loss shots because of the way it
- 24:58Speaker 6: would make her feel. She'd be happy, she would probably
- 25:02Speaker 6: feel better about herself. Be fired a sex life or
- 25:04Speaker 6: pick up happy wife, Happy life.
- 25:07Speaker 7: Now we can get on the boat, though, when am
- 25:09Speaker 7: I gonna get on my money? You ain't gonna get
- 25:12Speaker 7: on that boat.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Mom.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You can buy the boat now, like I said, you
- 25:15Speaker 1: buy the boat without waiting on shot and were back
- 25:17Speaker 1: where we are? All right, Princess and delray beach. Let's
- 25:20Speaker 1: move on.
- 25:21Speaker 10: I met a man online, and when we met, I
- 25:24Speaker 10: realized he's shorter than I am. I love to say
- 25:28Speaker 10: that his height isn't a problem, but it is. The
- 25:32Speaker 10: sex is good and he's always doing sweet things for me.
- 25:36Speaker 10: How important is his height? Is this a deal breaker?
- 25:42Speaker 2: You know.
- 25:44Speaker 1: It's not a deal breaker. Sex is great. That mean
- 25:48Speaker 1: little man in there climbing I got to climbing.
- 25:55Speaker 6: No little man in that climbing man? Little man got
- 25:59Speaker 6: step still next the bed, everything little man got it.
- 26:02Speaker 6: Little man got rope tied on the head, boy waiting
- 26:05Speaker 6: to haul itself up.
- 26:07Speaker 1: You know, a little man.
- 26:08Speaker 6: Look little man in that boy. I don't think it's
- 26:17Speaker 6: a deal breaker. No, I don't think it's a deal
- 26:20Speaker 6: breaker at all. He's a good man. You gonna're gonna.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Throw back a good man and get a tall sorry man.
- 26:28Speaker 6: You're gonna turn back, throw back a guy that you
- 26:30Speaker 6: don't meet your hype requirement, throw him back and get
- 26:32Speaker 6: a big.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Old tall sorry man. Who girl?
- 26:37Speaker 7: He tall?
- 26:38Speaker 1: He don't treat me worth.
- 26:39Speaker 2: For he.
- 26:43Speaker 3: H?
- 26:44Speaker 1: All right, well you're telling her that's not a steal breaker, Okay,
- 26:48Speaker 1: all right?
- 26:50Speaker 10: J R?
- 26:50Speaker 1: And Aniston?
- 26:52Speaker 10: My wife is too aggressive in the bedroom when she's
- 26:55Speaker 10: been drinking. I've been acting like I'm still scratched up,
- 26:59Speaker 10: So I don't have to have sex with her right now?
- 27:03Speaker 10: Have you ever wanted your wife to go have sex
- 27:06Speaker 10: with someone else?
- 27:08Speaker 1: And my wife for that?
- 27:10Speaker 12: Man, what.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Dog wanted your wife to go have sex with someone else? Dog?
- 27:18Speaker 1: You don't love her no more? Now, you ain't wrong
- 27:21Speaker 1: for that. You ain't in love with her no more.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Y'all need to break up? Dog?
- 27:25Speaker 6: How you wishing your wife go have sex with somebody else? Man, boy, bye,
- 27:30Speaker 6: that's an igny question. She does scratched the love about it?
- 27:33Speaker 6: This boy, it's all gone.
- 27:35Speaker 1: What's going on she do? I'm just seeing that crazy
- 27:42Speaker 1: what she in the doing? Yeah, come on, that's her,
- 27:49Speaker 1: not him, that's her. I'm getting to kill you. Come on,
- 27:55Speaker 1: come on.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Here.
- 27:58Speaker 6: They're gonna be rougher than they were being up there.
- 28:02Speaker 6: Jack and I don't fin to do something to you.
- 28:05Speaker 6: Me and this Jack fan to go to work on you.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Come on to him. He scared you need to start
- 28:15Speaker 1: seeing somebody else. Yeah, that's that's pretty bade. His marriage
- 28:21Speaker 1: is over pretty much. All right, let's move on to
- 28:24Speaker 1: Bethany and Chattanooga.
- 28:25Speaker 10: My husband won't keep his opinions to himself about anything
- 28:30Speaker 10: I do.
- 28:31Speaker 1: He wants to tell me how he would do this
- 28:33Speaker 1: or that. And I'm sick of getting Oh, I'm sick
- 28:37Speaker 1: of him correcting me. I should say I don't need
- 28:40Speaker 1: a father. Is this an ego thing with him? Or
- 28:43Speaker 1: does he think I'm stupid?
- 28:45Speaker 6: Well, it's mostly an ego thing with him. You know,
- 28:48Speaker 6: he thinks he's being helpful. I tell me in this
- 28:51Speaker 6: all the time. When women share their opinions, about something.
- 28:55Speaker 6: They ain't look always looking for your fix. They just
- 28:58Speaker 6: sharing the information with you. She knows how to think,
- 29:01Speaker 6: she knows what she thinks. She don't need you telling
- 29:04Speaker 6: her how to think. She didn't figure it out her
- 29:07Speaker 6: way as the way she wants to do it.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Now.
- 29:09Speaker 6: You can't come in there and climb all over top
- 29:11Speaker 6: of that, and a lot of men do that, and
- 29:14Speaker 6: you setting yourself up for failure.
- 29:16Speaker 1: So it suggests an ego thing, ma'am. He don't think
- 29:20Speaker 1: you're stupid.
- 29:21Speaker 6: He just think he knows a better way, an alternative,
- 29:25Speaker 6: And I think God sometimes put the alternative opinion, and
- 29:31Speaker 6: I think they shape it wrong.
- 29:33Speaker 1: You know, instead of saying okay, baby, I hear you.
- 29:35Speaker 1: That's okay. Have you ever considered this? Have you thought
- 29:39Speaker 1: about it this way? Did you want to go that way?
- 29:41Speaker 2: No?
- 29:41Speaker 6: I did this?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Okay? Cool.
- 29:43Speaker 6: Then that's how you got That's how you Yeah, that's
- 29:46Speaker 6: how you interject your opinion of it, but as not
- 29:51Speaker 6: a direct change.
- 29:53Speaker 1: It's just you got to go in there and say, hey, look,
- 29:56Speaker 1: have you ever considered this part? Did you think of
- 29:58Speaker 1: it like this?
- 29:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 29:59Speaker 1: But that ain't what I want to do, and and
- 30:00Speaker 1: get off of it. Let it go. Let her have
- 30:04Speaker 1: it because you keep pushing dog. Yeah your zoom. Yeah
- 30:10Speaker 1: it agreed with your answer. Yeah, yeah, let it go, Yes,
- 30:15Speaker 1: let it go. Qu're pushing. Yeah, it is delivery. Yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 1: that's what you're saying. Yeah, that's all it is. Yeah,
- 30:26Speaker 1: all right, thank you. Colo. Coming up at the top
- 30:28Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll have entertainment news right after this.
- 30:32Speaker 8: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 30:39Speaker 10: According to CNN, Eddie Garcia, a former security office at
- 30:43Speaker 10: their Intercontinental hotel, testified about his involvement in the twenty
- 30:48Speaker 10: sixteen video of Sean Ditty Combe's physically assaulting his former
- 30:52Speaker 10: girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Now.
- 30:54Speaker 10: Garcia testified that his boss sold the video footage to
- 30:58Speaker 10: Diddy for fifty thousand dollars. He said his boss told
- 31:02Speaker 10: him to deliver the footage to Ditty, and after confirming
- 31:07Speaker 10: it was the only copy of the video, Garcia said,
- 31:11Speaker 10: Diddy handed him one hundred thousand dollars in a paper
- 31:14Speaker 10: bag and asked him to sign an NDA with a
- 31:18Speaker 10: one million dollar penalty. The security guard also said that
- 31:22Speaker 10: he was nervous that Cassie would follow a police report
- 31:25Speaker 10: regarding the incident, but Diddy allegedly facetimed Cassie and said
- 31:31Speaker 10: let him know that you want this video to go away.
- 31:34Speaker 10: Cassie told Garcia that she had a movie premiere coming
- 31:37Speaker 10: up soon and it would be a bad time for
- 31:40Speaker 10: the footage to leak. Garcia also said he bought a
- 31:44Speaker 10: used car with the thirty thousand dollars that he took
- 31:47Speaker 10: from Sean ditty Combe's payout, and he said that Diddy
- 31:50Speaker 10: suggested he not make any big purchases with the cash.
- 31:55Speaker 10: He also gave twenty thousand dollars to a fellow security
- 31:58Speaker 10: guard on duty. That sad quote that was part of
- 32:01Speaker 10: his testimony. Now, according to US News, Garcias signed an
- 32:04Speaker 10: immunity order, meaning he won't be prosecuted for what he said.
- 32:09Speaker 10: Understand if he told the truth.
- 32:12Speaker 1: So there you go, guys, What do you think?
- 32:15Speaker 7: So he got a hundred, he gave fifty to his
- 32:18Speaker 7: boss to thirty bout a car, and twenty to another.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Security person at the hotel.
- 32:25Speaker 7: Yes, everybody got paid that man, Yes, yeah, he paid
- 32:31Speaker 7: everybody off.
- 32:34Speaker 1: So with that testimony, Steve, is that Rico is that
- 32:39Speaker 1: part of the payoff? Now, Now, when you start doing
- 32:44Speaker 1: stuff like that, that's when you have a problem. Payoff.
- 32:49Speaker 6: That's that's that's tampering with evidence. That's that's you know,
- 32:54Speaker 6: I don't know all the charges, but you you know,
- 32:57Speaker 6: when they start going and they find out that you
- 32:59Speaker 6: paid aid somebody off to conceal something, that's covering up stuff.
- 33:05Speaker 6: I don't know the legal terms for it, but now
- 33:08Speaker 6: they into some Hey man, what you doing now you're
- 33:12Speaker 6: paying people off for silence and all like her. That's
- 33:16Speaker 6: one of the reasons he didn't get bail because they
- 33:18Speaker 6: knew he would be witness tampering if he was at
- 33:21Speaker 6: the house. He couldn't get house arrests or nothing, because
- 33:24Speaker 6: he had once he found out he was getting arrested.
- 33:27Speaker 6: He called this one girl fifty two times in a
- 33:30Speaker 6: day to get her to fix her story. And once
- 33:35Speaker 6: again when you get Cassie brought into the thing, saying
- 33:38Speaker 6: tell him that you want this copy to go away,
- 33:42Speaker 6: and she goes, I got a premiere coming out, and
- 33:44Speaker 6: it would be bad timing. That wouldn't have hurt her
- 33:48Speaker 6: at all in the movie premiere. But I think that
- 33:52Speaker 6: that leads to some more because you know, he can't
- 33:56Speaker 6: be charged for the beating that he gave that girl
- 34:00Speaker 6: because they passedstantial limitations. Right, he can't get charged for that.
- 34:04Speaker 6: But all of that is why we in court today.
- 34:07Speaker 6: Once that footage came out, they went, hold on, man,
- 34:10Speaker 6: let me look at her claim again. And everything in
- 34:13Speaker 6: her claim was true. And so then once they saw
- 34:17Speaker 6: that sex traffick and all that, man, that's gonna be
- 34:21Speaker 6: the problem. Cause you know, look, once you start flying
- 34:25Speaker 6: in sex workers and all this, and then people are
- 34:30Speaker 6: saying I was in there against my will. It was
- 34:34Speaker 6: held up as bribery, This was embezzlement. I was being
- 34:39Speaker 6: forced to do this coercion. You know, once you start
- 34:44Speaker 6: using a collusion, they come up with all types of
- 34:47Speaker 6: words when they want to get you.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Just know this.
- 34:52Speaker 6: They don't have him sitting there for no reason. They
- 34:55Speaker 6: ain't got this man locked up for no reason he did. Yeah,
- 35:01Speaker 6: the federal work man, not the FBI. Once some alphabets
- 35:05Speaker 6: come come for you, they got information.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:09Speaker 10: All right, Well Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the
- 35:11Speaker 10: charges that include, just like you said, Steve racinteering, conspiracy,
- 35:16Speaker 10: and sex trafficking. If convicted on all counts, he could
- 35:20Speaker 10: face up to life in prison.
- 35:24Speaker 1: All right, So let's move on.
- 35:26Speaker 10: To entertainment news Rumor has it that reality stars Todd
- 35:29Speaker 10: and Julie Christley's daughter, Savannah Chrisly, is looking into the
- 35:33Speaker 10: Tory Lanes case after her parents were pardoned by President Trump. Now,
- 35:37Speaker 10: according to US News, Savannah Christly says she recently spoke
- 35:42Speaker 10: to Tory Lane's father.
- 35:43Speaker 1: And plans to visit him in prison.
- 35:46Speaker 10: She also revealed that she's reviewing the case files herself
- 35:49Speaker 10: and believes there are or there may have been, many
- 35:52Speaker 10: major problems with how the case was handled.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Okay, so now she's a lawyer.
- 35:57Speaker 10: Tory Lanes is currently serving a ten year sentence for
- 36:00Speaker 10: shooting Meg the Stallion in the foot, and he is
- 36:03Speaker 10: currently recovering. You know, we talked about this last week
- 36:06Speaker 10: or not too long ago. From being stabbed.
- 36:08Speaker 6: I saw the Meg the Stallion documentary and the night
- 36:13Speaker 6: of the what they're saying is a leg shooting. He
- 36:17Speaker 6: tried to say dance and he shot her and the
- 36:19Speaker 6: bullet fractured and went up into her foot. He shot her. Now,
- 36:23Speaker 6: all these real rappers coming out against her, talking about
- 36:26Speaker 6: she snitching and stuff.
- 36:27Speaker 1: He shot that girl.
- 36:29Speaker 6: Yeah, and all these rappers came out when Drake came
- 36:32Speaker 6: out on his side and all this here. Hey, man,
- 36:35Speaker 6: y'all got to freeze that mess. You can't be shooting women.
- 36:39Speaker 6: And they drugged that girl. Man, that girl went through
- 36:41Speaker 6: a little Yeah, they drug that girl, and it's unfair
- 36:46Speaker 6: that you got.
- 36:47Speaker 1: To be the victim twice.
- 36:49Speaker 6: Right. Watch Meg the Stallion's documentary and watch what that
- 36:54Speaker 6: girl was going through.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Man, it's really really interesting.
- 36:57Speaker 10: Yeah, Well, quickly, The fifteenth Annual iHeartRadio Music Festival presented
- 37:02Speaker 10: by Capital One is back in Las Vegas Friday, September
- 37:06Speaker 10: nineteenth and September twentieth at the T Mobile Arena.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Get ready, but coming up next at twenty minutes after.
- 37:13Speaker 10: The hour, we're gonna talk to the nephew about what
- 37:16Speaker 10: defines a Yeah, what defines a good runner.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Right after this, you're.
- 37:21Speaker 11: Listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You've heard us
- 37:29Speaker 11: talk about the benefits of Globe Life insurance. Globe Life
- 37:32Speaker 11: has been protecting families for generations. Globe Life is easy
- 37:36Speaker 11: to buy, with rates starting as low as three dollars

- 37:52Speaker 11: five one fifty four hundred or globelifradio dot com.
- 37:56Speaker 10: Okay, so Tommy, yesterday was National Runners or National Run Day.
- 38:01Speaker 1: So I didn't ride and celebrate it. I just throw
- 38:04Speaker 1: that in, but go ahead. But you're a runner.
- 38:07Speaker 10: You've been running a long time since high school, track,
- 38:09Speaker 10: starr and all the things. What defines a good runner, sprinter,
- 38:14Speaker 10: marathon runner.
- 38:16Speaker 7: Consistency is everything. You gotta be consistent. If you ain't consistent,
- 38:20Speaker 7: you can go out there and run three miles a
- 38:23Speaker 7: day for a week and then don't do it again
- 38:26Speaker 7: for a month, and you're back where you started, everything hurting,
- 38:29Speaker 7: everything playing.
- 38:29Speaker 1: You got to be consistent. It's got to be consistent.
- 38:32Speaker 7: I'd have been out there running and a lady with
- 38:34Speaker 7: a pushing a stroller with some twins pans matter.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Yeah, So how many miles do you run a day? Yeah?
- 38:49Speaker 7: It's nine miles three three. I read five on my
- 38:52Speaker 7: birthday and and and just kill a whole birthday. That
- 38:57Speaker 7: was the bad to see it.
- 38:58Speaker 1: You had to go sit down. You don't want to
- 39:04Speaker 1: do nothing for your birthday? I can't. I can't I
- 39:08Speaker 1: already did it. I ran, so he says consistency. He runs.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Tommy runs about six miles. What a week.
- 39:22Speaker 6: I don't run ever. Let me let me tell you
- 39:24Speaker 6: what don't constitute a good or runner. People who don't
- 39:29Speaker 6: run at all know where. I don't try to see
- 39:34Speaker 6: nothing I ain't in, know, Harry, Like if I'm on
- 39:38Speaker 6: my ranch, and well I did. I saw a snake
- 39:42Speaker 6: and I ran, But it was just I just ran
- 39:45Speaker 6: the distance of the snake so he wouldn't.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Reach me about six feet. You know, I ran about
- 39:51Speaker 1: six feet? Does that? Yeah?
- 39:58Speaker 6: I strained calf most because I was running and I
- 40:01Speaker 6: was high. I was in the air because when you
- 40:04Speaker 6: want to avoid getting struck by the snake. And it
- 40:07Speaker 6: was and and and and it was in the in
- 40:09Speaker 6: the in the woods on my ranch. It was a
- 40:11Speaker 6: timber rattler that was in the middle of the road.
- 40:13Speaker 6: And and my and my hat flew off my head
- 40:16Speaker 6: when I was on my four wheeler, and I went
- 40:18Speaker 6: back to get it. And my hat was right next
- 40:20Speaker 6: to a rattle or a timber rattler right next to it.
- 40:24Speaker 6: And I didn't know what that hat because because they bleared, no,
- 40:26Speaker 6: they blend in so I bent over and picked a hat,
- 40:29Speaker 6: and then I heard the rattle, and then Lord her Mers,
- 40:32Speaker 6: you the quickness we got, no no, no, no no,
- 40:38Speaker 6: you got to get out the way. The quickness that
- 40:40Speaker 6: I displayed that day, it took me back to I
- 40:44Speaker 6: was coming from church one night after choir rehearsal. I
- 40:47Speaker 6: was walking down the middle of the street on Pasadena
- 40:50Speaker 6: and I walked and I heard the chain dragon behind me,
- 40:54Speaker 6: and I looked back there and cane was loose. I
- 40:59Speaker 6: went down Pasadena to speed. The next week I saw
- 41:03Speaker 6: old man. He said, hey, you that boy that were
- 41:05Speaker 6: running last week. You're the fastest year I have never
- 41:08Speaker 6: seen in my mother.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Eyes.
- 41:13Speaker 10: See Runner more of the Steve Harvey Body Show in
- 41:17Speaker 10: thirty four minutes after the hour you're listening Steve Harvey
- 41:22Speaker 10: Morning Show. What is the gold Digger Test? A woman
- 41:30Speaker 10: on a first date thought things were going great now.
- 41:33Speaker 1: This was on Breddit. She posted the story.
- 41:35Speaker 10: When the one hundred dollar bill came for dinner, her
- 41:38Speaker 10: date slid it over and asked.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Her to pay.
- 41:41Speaker 10: She agreed, thinking all right, no big deal. He smiled
- 41:45Speaker 10: and said, congrats, you passed the test. You're not a
- 41:48Speaker 10: gold digger now, She posted this, and then she deleted
- 41:52Speaker 10: the post. But she explained that her date told her
- 41:56Speaker 10: that he had been burned by an ex who made
- 41:59Speaker 10: him pay for everything, so now he tests women by
- 42:02Speaker 10: making them pay.
- 42:04Speaker 1: She wasn't impressed.
- 42:05Speaker 10: She said, I told him that I'm not his ex
- 42:07Speaker 10: and he has no right to treat me like I'm
- 42:10Speaker 10: guilty until proven innocent.
- 42:12Speaker 1: She said.
- 42:12Speaker 10: I also said he's not some prize that I need
- 42:16Speaker 10: to pass tests for, she said. After paying the bill,
- 42:19Speaker 10: she walked out, and then you know, days after he
- 42:21Speaker 10: kept trying to contact her. But the woman, she went
- 42:24Speaker 10: on to say, she had a later post where she said,
- 42:27Speaker 10: I have a good career, I own property, and I'm
- 42:30Speaker 10: very financial, financially independent.
- 42:33Speaker 1: So here's my question to you, Steve, Tommy and Jr.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Is a chivalry Dad.
- 42:38Speaker 6: I think we live in a different generation today. I
- 42:41Speaker 6: think these young men are confused of how this really works.
- 42:46Speaker 6: And I think that they don't have a true understanding
- 42:49Speaker 6: of who we are and what we are and what
- 42:51Speaker 6: our role is. And we have so much, so many
- 42:56Speaker 6: different you know, we're crossing so many lines with gender
- 43:02Speaker 6: roles and stuff that is carried over into manhood.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Manhood will never change. It is clear.
- 43:11Speaker 6: We that are men know what being a man is.
- 43:16Speaker 6: We don't lessen the requirements because you don't want to
- 43:20Speaker 6: do it. Now, this lady handled this exactly correct. She
- 43:25Speaker 6: handled it superstar status. I mean you couldn't have done
- 43:28Speaker 6: it more professionally than that. Uh this guy who has
- 43:33Speaker 6: been burned in the past, so what So what had
- 43:38Speaker 6: a girlfriend and he paid for everything. You slept with
- 43:41Speaker 6: it too, didn't you?
- 43:42Speaker 1: Didn't you?
- 43:44Speaker 6: You asked her to do You asked her to do
- 43:47Speaker 6: things that that was you asked her for wifey stuff
- 43:50Speaker 6: with girlfriend and status. So all this gold digger test,
- 43:56Speaker 6: look because a woman won't pay for a date. That's
- 43:59Speaker 6: not the test. You're stupid if you think that's the test.
- 44:03Speaker 6: Who's gold digging for one hundred dollars? But but that
- 44:08Speaker 6: that's copper digging, copper not gold. Yeah, that ain't gold digging.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Dog I said one hundred and you passed the test.
- 44:17Speaker 6: You're stupid. Yeah, yeah, go ahead, that's real stupid. I
- 44:22Speaker 6: don't even get that strategy of that. It's your hundred
- 44:24Speaker 6: dollars and you gave it to hutch so you're still
- 44:27Speaker 6: paying for it. You're not making no, no, no, Tommy,
- 44:30Speaker 6: he slid her to be for a hundred dollars. She
- 44:34Speaker 6: had to pay the hundred dollars. Yeah, I got you, Yeah, I.
- 44:43Speaker 9: Believe you realized that he passed her test too, the
- 44:46Speaker 9: SAM test passed that one that did the Sam test?
- 44:50Speaker 1: What's that?
- 44:51Speaker 2: Yes?
- 44:51Speaker 1: Sorry test?
- 44:52Speaker 9: Okay, all right, passed it right old through flying colors,
- 44:56Speaker 9: way to go, of course.
- 45:00Speaker 6: That is chivalry isn't dead, but it's not taught or
- 45:05Speaker 6: required anymore. And women have got to keep the requirements up.
- 45:10Speaker 6: If you go on a date with the man, go
- 45:12Speaker 6: stand by your door and don't open that door.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Just stand there.
- 45:15Speaker 6: When you go into the mall with a guy, stand
- 45:18Speaker 6: at the door, don't open that door. When you go
- 45:22Speaker 6: to a restroom with a guy, stand at your chair,
- 45:25Speaker 6: don't pull your chair out. You can train a man
- 45:28Speaker 6: how to teach you. Not a sad thing about it
- 45:31Speaker 6: is these young guys, a lot of them are not
- 45:33Speaker 6: about that, and we need to remember that. But chivalry
- 45:37Speaker 6: shouldn't be dead. It's called etiquette. But more importantly, brothers,
- 45:41Speaker 6: it's called manhood. And I'm sorry, and you can sit
- 45:45Speaker 6: up here downun that ain't got nothing to do with manhood, got.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Everything to do with it.
- 45:49Speaker 6: Why don't you just admit you don't know what it
- 45:51Speaker 6: is instead of telling me somebody been doing manhood for
- 45:55Speaker 6: a long time. You're not finn reshape the way I
- 45:57Speaker 6: treat my wife cause you don't want to treat me
- 46:00Speaker 6: nobody that way? Man, miss me with that, I can't
- 46:02Speaker 6: stand that standing man.
- 46:06Speaker 1: And then when somebody try to tell you what it is,
- 46:08Speaker 1: you want to fight that for what.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Right?
- 46:12Speaker 1: I'm school him on the tradition. All right?
- 46:14Speaker 10: Coming up next, nephew, Tommy's prank phone call.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Right after this, you're.
- 46:19Speaker 8: Listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:26Speaker 10: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 46:28Speaker 10: four minutes after. It's Today's Strawberry Letter with our girl
- 46:32Speaker 10: Shirley Strawberry. The subject is He's not satisfied, but I
- 46:36Speaker 10: am all right, okay it is.
- 46:41Speaker 1: But right now, what you got, nephew Today's prank phone call?
- 46:45Speaker 7: I got apartment three sixteen, Apartment three sixteen. I have
- 46:51Speaker 7: to stay in apartment three sixteen, So I got to
- 46:54Speaker 7: get this person out of there because that's the number
- 46:56Speaker 7: that I stay at.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I stay in three sixteen.
- 46:59Speaker 7: Do you understand I'm say when I'm in the field, Yes, yes,
- 47:04Speaker 7: And that seems to be a problem with this person.
- 47:06Speaker 7: So let's see what we can do. Let's see we
- 47:08Speaker 7: can get them out of three sixteen. I need three sixteen.
- 47:11Speaker 7: Let's go get doup.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach deal. Yeah, this is deal. Hey, Deal,

- 47:54Speaker 2: in apartment three sixteen, and I know you in three sixteen,
- 47:58Speaker 2: so they you know the girl the office gaming, you know,
- 48:01Speaker 2: because I don't want to move nowhere else where. I
- 48:03Speaker 2: can't be in room three sixteen. I gotta be. You know,
- 48:05Speaker 2: it's just real superstitious. I know, but I kind of
- 48:08Speaker 2: got to have a party.
- 48:09Speaker 12: Hold on, God, you say your name Vaughn?
- 48:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm gone right Va.
- 48:13Speaker 12: And who gave you my number again?
- 48:15Speaker 2: One of the ladies at the lease in office when
- 48:17Speaker 2: I was over there. Who was it? I can't really
- 48:20Speaker 2: remember her name?
- 48:21Speaker 12: Man, ut Hey, well listen, cut to I'm gonna tell
- 48:26Speaker 12: you like this, man. Don't call you for nothing like that. Man, Now,
- 48:29Speaker 12: I ain't moving out of my apartment. Man, I've been
- 48:31Speaker 12: staying there for four years. When I move out of
- 48:33Speaker 12: the apartment, I move in the house. I understand all
- 48:36Speaker 12: this got going with you? Which is whatever it is?
- 48:39Speaker 3: You're three sixteen?
- 48:40Speaker 12: You one three two?
- 48:42Speaker 2: That's on you, man, it ain't I got to stay
- 48:46Speaker 2: in three sixteen? Man, See that, That's what I'm trying
- 48:48Speaker 2: to say. I don't sign the least, so I'm stuck
- 48:51Speaker 2: with it. I got to get that apartment. So I said,
- 48:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna try to tell you would you like to
- 48:56Speaker 2: which which other apartment would you like to move to?
- 48:58Speaker 2: And I go on to get them to move your stuff.
- 49:01Speaker 12: Other than nothing, ain't nothing moving on, gonna move the numbers?
- 49:05Speaker 12: You can add them up, divide them, do whatever you
- 49:08Speaker 12: want to them. But I ain't moving, so you're gonna
- 49:11Speaker 12: have to get that to your head man. And really,
- 49:13Speaker 12: i'm because I don't know the gave you my number
- 49:15Speaker 12: was like this, I mean, working called me because I
- 49:19Speaker 12: don't even know no vun no, no, you don't know me, DoD.
- 49:22Speaker 2: I asked them who was in three sixteen? They told me, ain't.
- 49:25Speaker 12: None of your business going three sixteen.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Man, Hey, listen, man, I'm trying to do this as
- 49:29Speaker 2: respectful as possible. You know, like I said, I really
- 49:32Speaker 2: can't function unless i'm living in ament.
- 49:35Speaker 12: Just restuct me, then do it disrespect for them, because
- 49:38Speaker 12: I'm gonna show you do this.
- 49:39Speaker 3: You called me with like this.
- 49:41Speaker 12: I don't get favorite now. I don't care if there
- 49:43Speaker 12: was your favorite scripture.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Okay, hey call me with like that. Man, Now, you're
- 49:47Speaker 2: gonna make this hard, okay, So let me let me
- 49:49Speaker 2: tell you this to you. And I already told the
- 49:51Speaker 2: lady I want to be in three sixteen. She told
- 49:53Speaker 2: me I needed to deal with Dell. Now I'm trying
- 49:56Speaker 2: to deal with you in a polite way, okay, because
- 49:58Speaker 2: like I say, I can't function unless i'm in an
- 50:01Speaker 2: apartment three sixteen. I can't. I can't even get them
- 50:03Speaker 2: go to work. I cannot function, Okay, I have to
- 50:06Speaker 2: have that apartment number do right.
- 50:08Speaker 12: So it sounds like you've got a problem on your hands. Man,
- 50:10Speaker 12: whatever your pridem is, that's your problem. Ain't got to
- 50:14Speaker 12: do with me coming you know like that. Like I say,
- 50:17Speaker 12: I've been staying in three sixteen. I'm gonna stay in
- 50:20Speaker 12: three sixteen till I moved to a house. You need
- 50:23Speaker 12: to find something else to do. And really I'm stopping.
- 50:26Speaker 3: They gave you my number.
- 50:28Speaker 12: To call me with is I can't believe.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Like the way you're talking to you, talking to me
- 50:34Speaker 2: like what, you come at me.
- 50:36Speaker 3: With that, Come at me with a number that looks
- 50:39Speaker 3: like you man three sixteen.
- 50:41Speaker 2: What excuse me though, but you're just you called me
- 50:45Speaker 2: with this.
- 50:46Speaker 12: I tell you what, Man, come at me to come
- 50:48Speaker 12: at my problem. Then you're gonna see it. Man, you
- 50:51Speaker 12: understand what I'm saying.

- 50:55Speaker 2: all right, I'm trying to do. Listen to me. I'm
- 50:58Speaker 2: trying to tell you on the dog I can and
- 51:00Speaker 2: not function outside of them three numbers. I have to
- 51:03Speaker 2: live in an apartment three sixteen. That ain't my business. Man. No,
- 51:06Speaker 2: I don't wanna have to come move yo, yo, but
- 51:08Speaker 2: I do hold on what running back with say, I said,
- 51:11Speaker 2: I don't want to have to move, yo.

- 51:37Speaker 12: and you about three sixteen. I'm gonna moove somebody. That's
- 51:41Speaker 12: all I got to say. Man, it's gonna be you
- 51:43Speaker 12: before I before I deal with you. Tho, I'm gonna
- 51:45Speaker 12: get the least. And I was even giving you my
- 51:47Speaker 12: number all day.

- 56:48Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is a strawberry letter.
- 56:51Speaker 8: Thank you, nephew.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Subjects.
- 56:52Speaker 11: He's never satisfied. He's never satisfied. But I am, dear
- 56:56Speaker 11: Stephen Shirley. I'm married to my college sweetheart and he's
- 56:59Speaker 11: a great man. But we don't get along now. I
- 57:03Speaker 11: wore the pants in our family for years because I
- 57:06Speaker 11: made the most money. Back then, all he could do
- 57:09Speaker 11: is please me and cater to me. I got used
- 57:12Speaker 11: to it and it worked fine for me. He couldn't
- 57:15Speaker 11: wait to get a better paying job and then switch
- 57:17Speaker 11: back to wearing the pants and our marriage. Right after
- 57:20Speaker 11: he started his new job, he started mouthing off and
- 57:23Speaker 11: telling me he wasn't going to do this or that.
- 57:26Speaker 11: I let him do it because I know for years
- 57:29Speaker 11: he couldn't talk slick to me because he was broke.
- 57:32Speaker 11: Here's the funny part, though, Now he's got a new job.
- 57:35Speaker 11: It came with a new level of stress now that
- 57:37Speaker 11: he's got a new job. It came with a new
- 57:39Speaker 11: level of stress. That stress led to high blood pressure,
- 57:42Speaker 11: and that high blood pressure led to an increase in
- 57:45Speaker 11: his medication, so that led to him not.
- 57:47Speaker 8: Being able to perform sexually.
- 57:51Speaker 1: There we go.
- 57:51Speaker 11: He has been a miserable wreck for a year, and
- 57:54Speaker 11: I have gone on with my life without him. I
- 57:56Speaker 11: have a man on the side, and he comes over
- 57:59Speaker 11: to the house on Mondays and we meet at a
- 58:01Speaker 11: hotel on Thursdays. It's not about the sex. It's just
- 58:06Speaker 11: nice to talk to a man that has his stuff together.
- 58:11Speaker 11: He's not stressed about me being married, and he's not
- 58:14Speaker 11: afraid to make love to me in my bedroom that
- 58:17Speaker 11: I share with my husband. It's not like my husband
- 58:20Speaker 11: and I are putting that mattress to youth anymore. I
- 58:23Speaker 11: try to tune out my husband's constant complaining about his job,
- 58:27Speaker 11: and I'm tired of him getting himself riled for sex
- 58:29Speaker 11: when he knows he can't last for thirty seconds. I'm
- 58:33Speaker 11: over him and this marriage, and maybe if he had
- 58:36Speaker 11: a better attitude I could deal with it. Having an
- 58:39Speaker 11: affair is the easiest way out for me. Life is
- 58:42Speaker 11: too short to be unsatisfied, So how can he live
- 58:45Speaker 11: like that? Do you know he's thinking? Do you think
- 58:48Speaker 11: he's thinking of divorce as much as I am? Should
- 58:51Speaker 11: I try to work it out if he seems to
- 58:53Speaker 11: not care.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Not?
- 58:59Speaker 11: This has to be one of the saddest, most pathetic letters.
- 59:04Speaker 11: I mean, first, the dumb rule about you making the
- 59:07Speaker 11: most money so you wear the pants. That was stupid
- 59:10Speaker 11: because you emasculated your husband with that. I mean, there's
- 59:13Speaker 11: no such rule in marriage about whoever makes the money
- 59:16Speaker 11: is the boss or wears the pants.
- 59:18Speaker 8: You made that up.
- 59:20Speaker 11: I'm really surprised that your husband went along with that foolishness.
- 59:23Speaker 11: Quite frankly, marriage marriage is a partnership, okay, between two
- 59:28Speaker 11: people who love each other, and the universal rule, the
- 59:31Speaker 11: universal rule now is the man is head of household.
- 59:35Speaker 11: What you've done is turn your marriage into a miserable
- 59:39Speaker 11: place to be. And I guarantee you that's not just
- 59:42Speaker 11: your husband's new job that is stressing him out. It's
- 59:46Speaker 11: you two.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Your a terrible wife.
- 59:49Speaker 11: You should never be married because there's no love, there's
- 59:52Speaker 11: no commitment, there's no respect from you. Everything you shouldn't
- 59:56Speaker 11: do you're doing, and you're cheating on top of that?
- 1:00:00Speaker 11: Is it any wonder he has high blood pressure? I mean,
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: what have you ever thought that he might catch you
- 1:00:07Speaker 11: in your man having sex in his house, in his bed.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Have you ever thought of that?
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: So if he does, he can go.
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: Ahead and divorce you, that's for sure. I mean, once
- 1:00:16Speaker 11: he's rid of you, I bet his blood pressure will
- 1:00:18Speaker 11: go down. He can start to live a better, happier life.
- 1:00:22Speaker 11: I just think you're a mess in this letter. You're
- 1:00:24Speaker 11: a selfish mess. And to you, I say, get yourself together.
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: This fare, this letter right here. I just don't like
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: the lady at all. I mean, lady, I just don't
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: like you. I don't like anything about you. I don't
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: like anything about what you wrote in this letter. I
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: agree to surely one hundred percent, but you just unitok
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: trifle to just a whole another level, you know.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Just listen the way she talks.
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: I'm married to my college sweetheart and he's a great man,
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: but we don't get along now. I wore the pants
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: in our family for years because I made the most money.
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: Back then. All he could do is please me and
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: cater to me. I got used to it and it
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: worked fine for me. He couldn't wait to get a
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: better paying job, and he had swiped back to wearing
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: the pants in our marriage, the girl has glim.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Explained, I don't give it moha much money I made.
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: You know, I'm not gonna take the pants off in
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: a month, and I'm not wearing the skirt at no
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: point in the relationship. And I'm pretty sure that he
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: didn't agree to taking his pants off. You took him
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: off because your determination for what he is as a
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: man was based purely on how much money he bought in.
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: So right after he started his new job, he started
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: mouthing off and telling me he wasn't gonna do this,
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: or that I let him do it because I know
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: for years he couldn't talk slick to me because he
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: was broke.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Man, who are you, lady? I mean, just you can't
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: talk back to me. You broke this time, lay You
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: don't even understand, so listen. So here's the funny part though.
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: Now that he's got a new job, it came with
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: a new level of stress, and that stress, the stress
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: has led to high blood pressure, and that hot blood
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: pressure led to an increase in his medication, so that
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: led to him not being able to perform sexually. He
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: has been a miserable wreck for a year, and I
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: have gone on with my life without him. Wow, lady,
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: everything about you. You don't stand by your man if
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: he broke. You don't stand by your man if he
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: gets sick. You don't stand by your man if he
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: can't perform.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: You do you just don't? Why did you?
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: You don't stand by your man under no circumstances. You're
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: just a little trifling little wife. He got to be working,
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: performing everything.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I got more for you.
- 1:03:00Speaker 11: All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response. You
- 1:03:03Speaker 11: just heard him say he has more for the woman
- 1:03:05Speaker 11: in this letter coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:03:07Speaker 11: the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter subject He's never satisfied, but
- 1:03:11Speaker 11: I am. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:03:15Speaker 11: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. You've heard us talk

- 1:03:51Speaker 11: come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: He's never satisfied, but I am.
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, you are, because you just do what you
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: want to do. Your marriage college, sweetheart, things fell apart.
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: He lost his job or whatever, wasn't making money, so
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: you put the pants on in the family and because
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: of that, all he could do is please you and
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: cater to you.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: You got used to it, and it worked fine for me.
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: But you said, you know, he couldn't wait till he
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: got a better paying job so he could get back
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: to wearing the pants and our mass. Well, he did,
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: but the job came with some stress. Some stress came
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: with high blood pressure. High blood pressure came with increasing medicine,
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: and increase in medicine caused him not to be able
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: to perform. Second, then you said, he's been a miserable
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: wreck for a year. I've gone on with my life
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: without him.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Boy.
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: So if you don't make money around you, you in trouble.
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: If he gets stressed out around you, he's in trouble.
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: If he can't perform, he gets in trouble. He got problem,
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: and then you just go on your life without it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: I have a man on the side, and he comes
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: over to the house on Mondays and we meet at
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: a hotel on Thursdays.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Wait a minute, what.
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: So you got a man on the side that comes
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: over to y'all's house on Monday and then y'all meet
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: at a hotel on Thursday. So hold on, hold on,
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: hold on. I gotta keep going back over this. So
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: if you don't have money, you ain't cool with that.
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: If you get back to work and he put his
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: pants back on, you ain't cool with that. If he
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: gets stressed out, you ain't cool with that. If he's
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: on hot blood medication, you ain't cool with that. If
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: he can't perform sexually, you ain't cool with that. Now
- 1:05:38Speaker 6: you go get a man on the side, and cause
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: of convenience, y'all now at this man's house in his
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: bed on Mondays and we meet at a hotel on Thursday.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: And then you say, it's not about the sex. What
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: is it about?
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Then?
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: What are y'all over there doing? And when y'all get
- 1:06:00Speaker 6: the hotel and y'all come over to the house. It's
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: just nice to talk to a man that has his
- 1:06:05Speaker 6: stuff together. Oh you're talking about a man.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Oh oh, oh, oh oh. Let me get this right.
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: So you think that it's nice to just meet the
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: man that don't have to deal with nothing that comes
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: in the package called marriage. You're talking about the one
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: that don't have to pay bills, that don't have to discuss,
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: that don't have to be undistressed, that ain't trying to
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: make a life, that ain't trying to put it together. Yeah, them,
- 1:06:25Speaker 6: conversation is easy because they ain't about nothing. That's why
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: that's so easy. And then he's not stressed about me
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: being married, and he's not afraid to make love to
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: me in my bedroom that I share with my husband.
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: You don't see the triflingness in that he's not afraid
- 1:06:46Speaker 6: to make love to me. I would hey, man, let
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: me tell you something, Let me tak I wish I
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: would walk in my house. I wish I would. I
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: wish I would walk in my house and walk up
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: on somebody in my house. You ain't even got to
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: be doing nothing just now. You ain't got to be
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: in the bed just being what you're in here for.
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: I've been not walking house, seat up, and here eating.
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: Now you can't have a plate, and I don't know
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: yet if I don't know you, and you at my
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: house and you're eating a plate of food before my
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: wife can introduce me, she already can tell by the
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: look on my face. I got to get some information
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: to this food right quick, right quick. But now you
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: didn't take it there. So now it's not like my
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: husband out putting that mattress to use anymore. I try
- 1:07:34Speaker 6: to tune out my husband's constant complaining about his job,
- 1:07:37Speaker 6: and I'm tired of him getting himself riled up for
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: six when he knows he can't last for thirty seconds.
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: I'm over him and this marriage. Maybe if he had
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: a better attitude, I could deal with it. Wait a minute,

- 1:14:18Speaker 10: few months. I haven't told her that I know yet,
- 1:14:21Speaker 10: but I don't think there's anything that she could say
- 1:14:25Speaker 10: that would fix this. I'm done, and I plan to
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: let her know right before we're scheduled to go to
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: the beach for a vacation. I paid for the trip.
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: I'm still going, only she's not going with me and
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: doesn't know yet. The only thing I haven't figured out
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: is whether or not I'm going to destroy the dude
- 1:14:46Speaker 10: she's been cheating with. He's her supervisor at work, and
- 1:14:51Speaker 10: I know he'll lose his job for sleeping with an employee.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: He's also married with kids.
- 1:14:57Speaker 10: Should I just be the bigger person, send Uncle Steve
- 1:15:01Speaker 10: and move on and give them both or give them
- 1:15:04Speaker 10: both what they deserve?
- 1:15:06Speaker 6: No, man, John, just move on. Don't waste your time
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: with that. Don't waste your time with it. Man, All
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: it's gonna do. Man, You gotta put time and effort
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: into that, and there's gonna be no resolve for you.
- 1:15:19Speaker 6: It's really not the best revenge is you to move on,
- 1:15:24Speaker 6: Get you somebody who really cares about you, and she
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: gonna see it because it ain't no future for her
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: with this married man with these kids, right see. So
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: let's let that play out because you're gonna pay for

- 1:15:39Speaker 6: got to worry about that. And you know, I don't
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: want to sound hokey and nothing but vengeance is mine,
- 1:15:43Speaker 6: said the Lord. Don't waste your time with revenge. You

- 1:16:06Speaker 1: all that. Dog.
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: You got to cancel her reservation. You gotta, you know,
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: get a restraining order at the resort. I'll put a
- 1:16:18Speaker 6: picture up on the telephone polls in the city you're
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: going to don't wow, you know man on the real
- 1:16:32Speaker 6: man follows you.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I just let it go. But I would find the
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: perfect way to tell her though that I know and
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: you can have him. I don't know. I would, I would.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I would.

- 1:17:04Speaker 6: you to open this right now, but here's an envelope.
- 1:17:07Speaker 6: And then I would say, hey, you know what I
- 1:17:10Speaker 6: know what you've been doing. I know you've been seeing
- 1:17:13Speaker 6: and say his name. I know he's married with children.
- 1:17:17Speaker 6: I know he's your supervisor, and I know that you've
- 1:17:19Speaker 6: been cheating with him, and you've been going around.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: Behind my back. I know this. I'm not here to
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: arger anything. I just want you to know that I
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: know it, and I felt like you would never do
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: this to me.
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: But now that you have, have yourself a nice eat
- 1:17:34Speaker 6: and get up and say, oh, and the end of
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: that envelope, there's enough money for you to call uber
- 1:17:39Speaker 6: and get home and enjoy your meal. Whatever you order
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: and pay last meal. There's really I do it, gangster.
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: I let her order, get your food, eat it, enjoy yourself.
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: As a matter of fact, I'll tell you a gangster movie.
- 1:17:54Speaker 6: I would order the food, give her an envelope, ask
- 1:17:57Speaker 6: her not to open it. I'm going to the bathroom.
- 1:18:02Speaker 6: I'll go get in my car, call home the cell

- 1:18:13Speaker 6: I know you've been seeing this man. I know he's
- 1:18:15Speaker 6: your supervisor. I know he's married with kids, and you've
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: decided that heat is better.

- 1:19:01Speaker 10: Back in twenty fifteen, Iceland started experimenting with a four
- 1:19:05Speaker 10: day work week, letting employees how you said it, Tommy,
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: letting employees work for just four days with no loss
- 1:19:12Speaker 10: of pay. The early results were positive, so they expanded
- 1:19:16Speaker 10: the four day work week in twenty nineteen. It seems
- 1:19:21Speaker 10: like the move has been a smashing success. Productivity has
- 1:19:26Speaker 10: remained stable and even increased in some industries. Government officials
- 1:19:30Speaker 10: suggest this has happened because of reduction and stress, along
- 1:19:35Speaker 10: with a better work life balance has improved mental health
- 1:19:40Speaker 10: and effectiveness of workers. So what do you guys think?

- 1:25:18Speaker 10: All right, it is the last break of the day
- 1:25:21Speaker 10: on this What it's Thursday, Thursday? Yeah, wink went five
- 1:25:25Speaker 10: pretty fast tonight. Mm hmm NBA finals. Y'all watching the game?
- 1:25:33Speaker 10: Junior talked about that earlier. Okay, all right, we got
- 1:25:37Speaker 10: an email. Lady wants some advice from social media. She
- 1:25:41Speaker 10: wrote us on Steve Harvey FM. Her name is Nicole.
- 1:25:44Speaker 10: Nicole says, my sister graduated from high school last year
- 1:25:48Speaker 10: and did a year of community college, but decided it
- 1:25:52Speaker 10: wasn't for her and quit after two semesters. She wanted
- 1:25:57Speaker 10: to get out of our hometown, so I let her
- 1:25:59Speaker 10: move in with me and my boyfriend. She has gotten
- 1:26:02Speaker 10: a job, but it's going nowhere, and she has no
- 1:26:05Speaker 10: ambition or desire to better herself. I know she's only nineteen,
- 1:26:11Speaker 10: but I feel like she's wasting her life away. I
- 1:26:14Speaker 10: want her to do something that she can feel passionate about.
- 1:26:18Speaker 10: How can I help her to start thinking about the
- 1:26:21Speaker 10: future and finding something fulfilling to do.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: What advice do you have?
- 1:26:27Speaker 6: Well, in order to do something that you're passionate about,
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: in order to do something that you wake up excited
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: to doing, you're going to have to perform in some
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: capacity that pertains directly to your gift.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:26:43Speaker 6: If you are doing what you're gifted to do, you
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: will be passionate about that. I think what happens to
- 1:26:50Speaker 6: young people is you go to college and you decide
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: you want to do this and that. But you're asking
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: these young people to make a decision about their life
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: when they don't have the skill set yet. I don't
- 1:27:01Speaker 6: know a whole lot of people who go to college
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: to get a degree that end up working in the degree. Now,
- 1:27:07Speaker 6: degree is are helpful and useful, they really really are.
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: Education is paramount to a lot of people's success. That's important.
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: Every successful person is not tied to a degree. You know,
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: it's nothing I could have gotten a degree in that
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: would have turned me into who I am today. But
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: you have to sit young people down and talk about
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: their dreams and visions. That's the only thing that will
- 1:27:35Speaker 6: spur them to greatness is the pursuit of your dreams, goals,
- 1:27:40Speaker 6: aspirations and visions.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: That is what spurs you on to greatness.
- 1:27:45Speaker 6: If you tell a person just do something, go get
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: you a job, Go get you a job, what you're
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: telling them to do is just go get you and
- 1:27:53Speaker 6: make yourself some money where you can survive on it.
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: But people don't want to survive. People want to thrive.
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: People don't want to exist. People want to live. Look, man,
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: I don't want to just wake up every day and
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: be miserable. I want to wake up excited about today, man.
- 1:28:14Speaker 6: And you know it changes the dynamics when the words
- 1:28:18Speaker 6: that come out your mouth change. I have to go
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: to work today, I have to go down here with
- 1:28:23Speaker 6: these people. I have to pay these bills. I have
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: to go down here and try to get this car fixed.
- 1:28:31Speaker 6: I have to when you are doing something you're passionate about.
- 1:28:36Speaker 6: I wake up and say, I get to do radio today,
- 1:28:41Speaker 6: I get to go and be on TV today. I'm
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: going to get a chance to go down here and
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: get me a car today. I get a chance to
- 1:28:51Speaker 6: come and work with some really cool people man that
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: I absolutely like, and it ain't hard to be around them.
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: I get to do that because I'm living in my
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: gift and my passion. If you own a job that
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: you don't like, it's hard to be passionate about it.
- 1:29:09Speaker 6: If you go to work and the work ain't what
- 1:29:12Speaker 6: you really want, hard to be passionate about it. Hard
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: to be passionate about something you ain't getting paid your
- 1:29:19Speaker 6: value for. Hard to be passionate about a check that's
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: only going to get you live. Let you live good
- 1:29:25Speaker 6: enough to make it to the next check. Take your system,
- 1:29:30Speaker 6: Sit her down and ask her what are her dreams
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: and aspirations.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: See, we don't do that with our young people enough.
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: And even if you, as a parent haven't really fulfilled
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: your mission in life, or your dreams or your visions,
- 1:29:46Speaker 6: that don't mean your children have to follow in your footsteps.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: You can break the cycle in your family.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: You can assure that one of them finally does what
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: they really want to do with they life. And it's
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: okay that they don't make a million dollars, but you
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: want them to be excited about something. You want them
- 1:30:08Speaker 6: to feel good about themselves when they wake up in
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: the morning to go do work. That's what you want
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: to do. So I would sit her down and talk
- 1:30:17Speaker 6: to her about that. It's not that she's lazy and
- 1:30:22Speaker 6: she's unmotivated because she hasn't found the thing that will
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: motivate her. But the one thing that will motivate you,
- 1:30:29Speaker 6: no matter who you are and how old you are,
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: start start chasing your dreams. Start start chasing what you
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: gifted at. If you chase your dreams and your gift
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: and you become passionate about those two things, the future
- 1:30:51Speaker 6: is yours to hold. Now, listen to me. Don't get
- 1:30:53Speaker 6: this confused. Don't chase something you passionate about, and that's
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: that's not your gift. I had a lady in family feud,
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: raised her hand and said, I've always wanted to be
- 1:31:06Speaker 6: a singer, and I heard one of your motivational speeches,
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: and I'm gonna go be a singer. But I'm forty
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: nine years old and I don't know where to start.
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 1:31:17Speaker 6: If ain't nobody asked you to sing nowhere and you
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: forty nine, you're not a singer if you ain't done it.
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: I actually I ask a last say have you done
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: anywhere and now? But I just want to be a singer.
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: I say, have you ever sang anywhere?
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: No?
- 1:31:32Speaker 6: Then you're not a singer. But I'm passionate about it.
- 1:31:35Speaker 6: You're not gifted at it. The Bible says your gift
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: will make room for you and put you in the
- 1:31:43Speaker 6: presence of great men. That's what your gift will do.
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: All right, follow them dreams, follow your gift. Become passionate
- 1:31:52Speaker 6: about those are my clothes looks to day. I hope
- 1:31:54Speaker 6: you'll have the great day today. Talk to God, he'd
- 1:31:56Speaker 6: absolutely love to hear from you.
