- Jonathan Cole: Good evening everyone and welcome to our newest edition of Guardians of the Republic. me tonight as always is Tony Hughes. How are you Tony? Good. Good. And for the second week in a row, our special guest, Charles Barfield is joining us. Tony Hughes: Good evening, Jonathan. How's it going? Charles Barfield: Nice to be with you all Jonathan and Tony. Tony Hughes: Good to be, glad you're here. Jonathan Cole: Yep. We appreciate everyone that's tuning in. If you do that kind of thing nowadays. So it's another Tuesday and as usual, it's a Taco Tuesday. ⁓ Kick us off, Timmy. ⁓ Tony Hughes: Taco Tuesday. Thank goodness. Thank goodness. But I'll have to say, I wasn't really sure. know, has been unhinged, at least with his true social posts the last couple of days. And, you I we're all get old. mean, hopefully we get old. Hopefully God grants us a long enough life that we can get old, but mental decline comes with it. And think Trump is certainly showing some and I think he certainly some signs this past weekend. And I honestly was ⁓ very that he gonna to, he was gonna go ahead and pull that trigger and then it was gonna get back to the How much of this was the military going to? Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: implement, know, how many generals would resign under protest to say, you you can't wipe out a civilization. beef is not with the Iranian people, it's with the Iranian regime. you yes, there be some command and control that is plugged into the electrical grid along with 500,000 civilians. You can't take out power plant. can't take out people's ability to have lights on, to have refrigerated food, to have ice, to have clean to be able to move about, have food transported, and now you can't because the bridges are blown up. Those are just clearly war crimes, and there's a proportionality issue there, and you can't say, well, that's legitimate military target because .0001 % of the power is going toward a military purpose, and the other 99.999 % is going to civilian. military angle, so let's blow it up. ⁓ can't do that, especially at the bridges. I understand as far as moving missile launchers, but we have, ⁓ this not a ground war. ⁓ They're moving troops from point A to point B to get position to repel our troops going a city. this is not Germany. ⁓ not Germany in World II here. This is not what this war is about. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Yeah. Tony Hughes: I was also wondering out loud, ⁓ what in time, if we beginning to kill off an entire civilization. Jonathan Cole: I believe in it either. you Tony Hughes: At what point in time is that actually war and it's no longer a military excursion? I was wondering from a legal standpoint, the declaration of war. I think that if we're even thinking eliminating, killing an entire civilization, there should be a declaration of war here somewhere. So. Jonathan Cole: Well, I think there's another term for that and it starts with the G, it's called genocide. And that's usually been roundly condemned throughout human history, least modern human history. But Charles is kind of a legal expert. What do you think, Charles? Tony Hughes: Yeah. Charles Barfield: I think that we'll never heard, we'll never had in the history of this country where a sitting president of the United States declare publicly and unequivocally the language and the verbiage of genocide. That's what that, you was correct, John. That's what it was, genocide. But to pronounce that with the de facto and the real and the practical strongest nation on the planet that influence and effect world markets, world currencies, and all of that. him to say that, many the NATO principles, councils, the Geneva Convictions, the States was the leader of that, right? Our senators, our commerce Jonathan Cole: And... Tony Hughes: Yeah. Charles Barfield: We led the fight. We set the rules of international warfare. Right. And so now to have our president say these kinds of things where first of all, is the illegal war because Congress is the only person has the power constitution, as well as the dedicated authority with the War Powers Act. So those are two legal that give you ⁓ Congress, power to declare war. never happened. But I think the immoral derogation of their legislative duty to Congress to allow this is immoral and unconscionable. The gutless, cowardly nature of both parties to allow Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: This does not represent the American people. Regardless of what political bent the American public is not with this because it's an intentional, aggressive, I don't even recall the word, it's just illegal. It's totally an illegal act. not a police action. It's with the statement that we just been talking about, it's intentional. It's deliberate, it's willful. And when have we seen Tony Hughes: Yep. Charles Barfield: In less than, what, 60 days, we've seen an illegal war against Venezuela, an illegal war against Iran, and was knock, knock. Hello? The third element is Cuba. Cuba has been a de facto war by this president. There's no utility. There's a total blockade in that country. And no one in the media in America is even talking about it. That is really a declaration of war right there. So we got like three wars in like two months with this guy. It's just like a bad movie. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: But Charles jumping on Cuba for a second though. you know we a naval blockade around Cuba to prevent any oil from coming in until Trump's buddy Putin sent a tanker of oil to Cuba and Trump ⁓ okay, we'll that one in. We'll let that one in. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: So is up with that? mean, if you're going to, why sell our oil to Cuba? I mean, this is what Trump's always about. Let's take some of the oil that we've stolen from Venezuela and sell it to Cuba. Why are we letting Russian oil? just another taco for Trump, you know? And how he continuously subverts and our country to anything that wants. But Charles, as a pastor, I think I already know the answer to this question, but I know that when you led on Easter Sunday, you started your service off with that wonderful, touching, true social post the president had at o'clock on Easter morning. ⁓ I you led your service with that, Charles Barfield: think you auditioned, Tony, for a writer for Saturday Night Live. Tony Hughes: You Jonathan Cole: Hahaha! Tony Hughes: Was that not the most, I how can you in five or six sentences just offend the Jewish faith, the Christian faith, and the Muslim faith all at once? And threaten an entire nation. That's what I'm talking about. Charles Barfield: But again, what again? Whoa. Tony Hughes: being unhinged because there's just no way somebody needs to the man's phone away from him. You know, I've always heard about sundowners, you know, as people get older and when at nighttime they really kind of it. think got sun uppers because it's like his, his dementia really kicks in early in the morning. That's when all these crazy tweets are coming out. So I, ⁓ I that and I honestly thought it was a hack. thought it was fake. Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: got to looking closer and I saw other news organizations were reporting it. don't Truth Social, I think it's stupid, but I do have the X that repost all of Trump's truths, as say in Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: And it was real. like, cannot ⁓ somebody dropped the F-bomb, the president of United States on Easter morning, when probably % of the Christians in this country had a sunrise service. And he drops the F-bomb. And then he mocks ⁓ the faith with the praise be to Allah, you know. Jonathan Cole: Yep. Good. Tony Hughes: remark. it's just, unbelievable to me. ⁓ the Twilight Zone. Charles Barfield: Yeah, think Tony, think Tony, ⁓ he was elected the first time, the sense of outrage and shop job. The verbiage that he has spewed out with the presidential Jonathan Cole: Anyway. Charles Barfield: It should have shocked people years ago. it boils down to from a biblical standpoint is that everything ⁓ about Christian faith is bounding, ⁓ it's on the concept of love, that brother as thyself, right? And civility, humility, those principles Sacrifice and honor character. Regardless of you talking Old Testament and New Testament, those are the ⁓ the Christian faith. And what affords me is people or what I the Bible talks about wolves and sheep clothing. the thing about it is that at some point Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: we have to stop the idolatry worship of this man. the one thing that the Bible is very clear on is that God does not share glory with anyone. And he doesn't like idolatry. ⁓ One the worst that God hates ⁓ is a of And so I think that's what we're seeing with a group of people, millions of Americans that has so idolatry worshiped this guy that they generally love him more than God himself. And that's the fundamental faith problem. And so when you get that spiritual disorder out order, right, there's no alignment spiritually with the faith and the principles of what Jesus is about. But to do that on day ⁓ of the day of ⁓ love, Tony Hughes: That's the holiest day of Christianity. Charles Barfield: Yes, yes. And then there's the thing, like you said earlier, Tony, he there's no who else he could have offended. know, I mean, the Muslims in the world, billions, Christians, I the people with Jewish faith, he offended just about the three dominant religious faith on the earth and one little tweet, a couple of sentences. So my question is, if the 25th Amendment Jonathan Cole: Well, that's it. Yeah. Yeah. Tony Hughes: Yeah, he hit everybody. Yeah. Yeah. Charles Barfield: of the Constitution wasn't in vogue for that tweet alone. Why don't say we have it? That's really my first thought Sunday morning. Jonathan Cole: I know Well at one point y'all haven't highlighted on is Besides all the offense we go back to what we talked about Franklin Graham's Tony Hughes: Hmm. Well, well, well, you know, you know that. Jonathan Cole: big endorsement of Trump. never mentioned Easter once. never mentioned Christ once. He never mentioned the resurrection once all day long. So here's this great Christian that Franklin Graham's endorsing who can't even put out a proper tweet on Easter Sunday. But yet, live in area, Charles, where thousands of people worship Donald Trump. I promise you. They claim they're Christian, but they worship ⁓ Tony Hughes: You know, there's a, there's a district in Georgia having a special election today to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene's seat where she resigned. And was watching one of the news, one of the news, might have MS Now, might have been Senior, I forgot now which one it was, but they were just interviewing people that were going to vote. And I know that this is very anecdotal, but at the same time, one person's response, Charles Barfield: Right. Tony Hughes: I think drove home this point that that Johnson's saying. Yeah, that he talked to a young white man ⁓ incensed everything that Trump is doing. They talked to a white mother because she was holding her child she really hit this thing about the oil with Venezuela and with Iran ⁓ this is nothing, these wars have been nothing but about oil. And then they interviewed an elderly man, elderly white man and ⁓ closely Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: But he said, you know, don't too much about any of that. You know, trust President Trump and whatever he decides is good with me. And I thinking, really, you have just, you have given up your ability to think independently of a politician who's never met you, but is still making decisions about your life your children's lives, your grandchildren's lives. ⁓ it doesn't You longer have an opinion. Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: Because your opinion is now fully invested in Donald Trump. he wants, whatever he wants is good. It really is. It really is. it's, don't ever, I mean, the concept of free will. Charles Barfield: That's dialetry, Tony. Again, that's not dialetry. Jonathan Cole: Yep. Tony Hughes: is key to the Christian faith, right? I mean, because we have the ability to do whatever we want to do. It may not be what God wants us to do. It may not be in line with spiritual values of Christianity, of the faith, or even of the Jewish faith, but we have the free will. We're not a mind-numb robot that automatically, it's like, hmm, very cut and dried. No, that's not how it Charles Barfield: Yes. Tony Hughes: I mean, we willingly accept grace salvation. We willingly develop faith, but that's not hardwired into us, ⁓ know? But see this man, and he a of people that I know, that I know feel like that. It doesn't matter what the issue is. We're gonna see which way the trunk is blowing. Jonathan Cole: and Tony Hughes: And that's how we're going to go. Jonathan Cole: Yep. And it's, like I said, I live in an area where there's thousands of people that still feel that way. saw the Facebook post today about how Trump is saving the nation and it's all Obama and Biden's fault for letting Iran get to this point. And, you know, and it's like, and they're like, he's going to rain down terror upon Iran. And this was about, I guess, about four o'clock. Well, guess what? It's Taco Tuesday and I learned something today. We now know that it's chicken taco. So yeah, it's. Tony Hughes: Yeah. TACO TASTING! Well, you know, really, I mean, and don't think anybody has seen, at least I haven't seen it at all, obviously it's happened very quickly, but this, it's the 10 point plan that Iran had that he's kind of the ceasefire. You know, how many ceasefires, I've forgotten, Jonathan Charles, help me on this. How many ceasefires has Putin agreed to in the war with Ukraine? Charles Barfield: Bye. Tony Hughes: None, none, he knows, I mean even though he's kind of getting his ass kicked on the battlefield, at the end of the day he knows that Russia has the advantage in size and over Ukraine. So he's never agreed to a ceasefire. Even when Trump was getting on his hands and knees begging for a ceasefire, Putin's never agreed to one. Jonathan Cole: Good. Tony Hughes: And generally speaking, I can't really recall any military where one side had a clear military advantage over the other and where the objective truly was regime change, complete total utter destruction of the military complex that that other country had. You know, General Grant, know, U.S. Grant, unconditional surrender. That was always, in fact, that's what Trump said. That was the only thing he was going to agree to, was unconditional surrender. Well, he didn't. He didn't even get that. I mean, I really, okay, we've done a lot of damage to Iraq, to Iran's military. There's no question about that. We've blown them to hell and back as far as the military is concerned. But from a strategic standpoint, Iran is still in control of the strait. Jonathan Cole: No. Tony Hughes: It'll be up to Iran to decide to open or close the strait or to open and collect tolls on the strait. So as I see it, Iran's hand has only been strengthened by this So, I mean, other than what we already had, Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm Charles Barfield: Whoa. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: other than what we had already accomplished militarily, what did we get out of this by granting us a ceasefire? I don't understand. Charles Barfield: It is hard to follow delusional it's not it's not a coherent thinking plane. So I try to. So my why I think this delusional man is going, but it's hard to because, again, I believe it's almost a delusion. But just but a couple of points that was interesting to me. Tony Hughes: Hmm, the truth. Charles Barfield: We talked about this off camera last week. For lack of better expression, you used the word tolls, but basically this change of currency that Iran is demanding that whoever on the international community go through this straight or whatever, that you have to pay in Chinese won. Now, currency, Chinese currency. listen, China has been trying to Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: De-throne America with the de facto world currency for the last 12 years strongly, right? Because America is a de facto currency of the world. That's changing now. And I think I read something today where even France is now taking their gold out of the United States. The United States is losing all credibility with this guy. At some point, the GOP for the good of the country has got to get this guy out of here. We can't wait to the midterm election. We used analogy off camera before. If you see your house is on fire, you got to save your life and get out of there. You can't worry about your clothes, your favorite shoes, your watch. You got to save life, your life and your children or whoever's living in the home first. Everything else can be replaced. So we can't sit, nothing Democrats and theorize Tony Hughes: Hmm. Jonathan Cole: I'm going to Tony Hughes: Yeah. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: Yep. Yep. Jonathan Cole: Thank Charles Barfield: people will see it midterms could be a chain. We have to be intentional about saving our country, regardless of what political perspective you're coming from. And I think the other thing is that my metaphor is this, is that no time in there's never been a president of the United States that would literally tell you, we're going to use the essence of war without a declaration of war, but the essence of war where our equipment, military might and our soldiers to invade and to do harm and injury and tear up other people's countries and call it regime change. That has never happened because it's illegal. Even in our own country, we're either North or all of that situation, they never called it a regime change, even though that's what they wanted. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Thank Tony Hughes: Yeah. Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Charles Barfield: your new euphemism and sophisticated Tony Hughes: Yeah. Well, we selling missiles to the Iranians and we were taking the money to guns the Contras in Central America. That's it was called the Iran-Contra scandal. ⁓ Charles Barfield: Correct. But we never call it. Right. But they never call it regime change. know, Tony, Jonathan, no president was at buffoonery to publicly say that they're going in for regime change. Like it's one of your military points of war. You don't do that. Even if you're trying to do that, you don't say that. Jonathan Cole: Yep. Exactly. Tony Hughes: No, no, it was regime cooperation. Jonathan Cole: No. Thank Charles Barfield: This is the buffoonery that's leading greatest nation in terms of our potential when I say greatest. I don't like to use that word because I think I'm a humanitarian, right? And spiritually, I believe all God's people have the same trueness and of whatever He declares. And we can differ about what of government we have, or we want to do. Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Charles Barfield: whatever, as different nations. But the reality of the matter is that one has ever said, we're going to literally a regime change. First of all, is he leaving, number one. And two, it's not smart. It's not smart. And you lose credibility when you say that. Tony Hughes: Yeah, well you know, I do think that our nation is great. I think it's always been great. You know, we are, I think without a doubt, the greatest nation in the history of the world. We're the wealthiest, we're the strongest both militarily and economically. ⁓ been despite us being ripped off by countries for decades. You we've been so mistreated, you know, yet somehow we wind up the goals, literally the goal standard for the entire world, the one that everyone looks to. Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: If they're in trouble, they're looking to the United States to come help them. know, I take offense to this make America great ⁓ slogan. I know MAGA is, has now kind of evolved into just the Trump cult, that 30 % ⁓ of population that has, has acceded their. ability to independent thought and make independent decisions to Donald Trump, just tell us what you want us to do, dear leader, and we will do it. But for the other 70 % of us that don't feel like that, I think that we've always been great. ⁓ At one point, I mean, were we greater in the sixties when we were full of civil, when we were full of civil racial discrimination and, sexual discrimination and, you know, or were we greater back in the thirties before women could vote or greater back in the 18 fifties when we actually had slavery? mean, exactly when do you want to say we want to make America great again? What, what model are you trying to replicate? Because I like the model that we're at today. I mean, I don't like Trump. obviously, and I think that the Republican Party going to end up destroying itself from within thanks to MAGA. But as far as our nation is concerned, what the potential of our nation is today, I think it's the greatest it's ever been. And people to say, well, we were terrible under Biden, we were terrible under Obama. No, we weren't. We were still the greatest nation on earth. What nation would you live in? Even under Biden, under Obama, Pick One, whoever you think, hell, under, gosh, the worst president of all time been, besides, other than Trump? ⁓ I I Jonathan Cole: supposed to be James Buchanan, but I Trump's going to take that. ⁓ Tony Hughes: I mean, I would still rather live in this country, certainly the modern America, and we've done some terrible, terrible things in our history. Terrible things. We've completely abused the American Indian. I mean, we literally stole the land. We brought in the disease. We stole their land. But hey, here we are. And I think that generally speaking, the American Indians probably have a better life today than they would have had had they lived in, if they were still living living in teepees and never developed any technology. So we've benefited. Ultimately, it may take 10 generations to get there, but we ⁓ get there. ⁓ when do we've screwed something up, we do try to fix it to some extent. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: You know, we had this big debate about American citizenship this past week, or last week at the Supreme Court. I listened to that argument. which I don't how, I mean. I love the quote that John Roberts gave when the Solicitor General representing the administration talked about the birth tourism where rich Chinese billionaires fly over with their pregnant spouses, give get an American birth certificate for their child, then fly back to China and raise them as dual citizens. Jonathan Cole: here. Tony Hughes: Well, okay, I'm sure that that was probably not something that, or even just flat illegal immigration. I'm sure the founders did not think through that when they bit, what is it, 20, whichever amendment it is that deals with birthrights. it 14th, is that right, the 14th Amendment? Anyway. And there's been a subsequent Supreme Court decision about a Chinese guy who was born to parents who were legally here in the country, but they were Chinese. Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: He was born American birth certificate. His parents took a trip to China. And then when he kept, came back on their trip, we would not let allow him to come in because, his parents were Chinese. They were not American citizens. That went to the Supreme court. The Supreme court said birthright citizenship. He was here. He was subject to our jurisdiction. He's an American citizen. I mean, I say, I don't even see how you can get past that. But when the solicitor general was mentioning this, this birth tourism business, to Chief Justice Roberts and I love the quote he had because the Solicitor General said it's a brand new world and Roberts said yes it is a brand new world but it's the same Constitution and that's how it should be. Jonathan Cole: Okay. Charles Barfield: right. Tony Hughes: And I had a big argument with people on Facebook about this. like, well, you know, I mean, who knows? mean, can speculate based upon some the comments, how I think the justice will rule. And I'm sure there will be probably two or three, probably Clarence Thomas, probably Samuel Alito ⁓ will be at least two, although they're usually the biggest originalists, you that it says what it says, they've kind of bent the knee to Trump. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Charles Barfield: Yep, exactly. Jonathan Cole: Thanks. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Tony Hughes: But even if it is that, it's like, hey, if you don't like the decision, go amend the Constitution. There's a process to do that. Well, that just, oh, well, that would never happen. Well, that means that the people want it to be like this. You might not like it like that, but the general population, the people you would have to convince to amend the Constitution, to take away birthright citizenship, Jonathan Cole: Hmm. Tony Hughes: don't want that to go away. ⁓ part of being in a republic that we live in. have to live with, however the majority is that's what you have to live with. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Yeah. Charles Barfield: Well, let me say this. birthright citizenship is in the 14th Amendment. And why important because the ⁓ 14th Amendment it applicable to the states. So it makes it uniformly. it's no, that's it's important. through the 14th Amendment, which has also had the due process clause, which is substantial due process and the procedural due process in terms of Tony Hughes: That's right. Charles Barfield: for immigration or any kind of federal or state processes that try to negate or minimize or take away that due process. I mean, you also have a lot of privacy issues emanating from the 14th Amendment. you said something about To me, I'll say this, that I never, I don't think America has the history or condition ever used to word great. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: Because you break is to say that you synonymous with perfection. but I will say this, ⁓ will say this though. I will say this though. Everything about what we were, were based upon a lie. even our constitution was based upon a lot. was theoretical, but it's a lot. Slavery was existed. you had the immorality of slavery. and also the. Jonathan Cole: in Tony Hughes: ⁓ no, not perfect, not perfect. Jonathan Cole: you Charles Barfield: real Indians were black people that looked like me. The United States government changed and the mongols Indians that we say are natives now ⁓ under the reclassification act. Literally, American Indians that here first were black people, black natives of the land. Thousands years and the DNA proves that the Architect your evidence the medical evidence. That's not even controversial tell you when ⁓ my view when the word great in Murphy needs to be thought of and I have three reasons for that and I've been saying for a long time number one our law not our criminal law our civil law Makes us That's what I used to work great Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: Our civil justice system is the greatest ever invented. That's number one. Number two what makes us great is our officers' deference to our Constitution. That is the second thing that makes us great. If our military ever decide even George Washington, all his issues, I have some issues for him, against him, but the best thing Washington ever did, Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: as a military general was to say that he would not become a king. He would not become a dictatorship. So that principle has maintained our greatness, our civil justice system, ability for military officers who have authority that can cause a lot of craziness for us. They always deferred our constitution. We're in a crisis now with this current president, but so far, that's what made us great. The third element, when I personally think that Tony Hughes: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: we use the word great in America the ability of the people to, you kind of hit on this, to rehabilitate the collective values of America. We have the discretion as a public to redefine, to mature in a growth into what our values are. And sometimes we go way over the rocker, one way the next way, but the people have the power Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: to redefine what America's value is and who we are, our identification, our value system, that's what makes us great. That's the three dimensions where I think we need to use the word great for, because that tells us the people, when the people maintain the power, they can put all the politicians and kick them out or vote them out, right? So those are the three dimensions of the element why I think we're great in. Jonathan Cole: more. Tony Hughes: I agree. Charles Barfield: But I do believe that we have to get to the point where, where a person is a liberal or conservative or independent or whatever. We all got to have some basic understanding of how the ball game, political ball game is played. And that has got to be the American constitution. And whenever you let any one person urinate, defecate that, obfuscate that, Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: As if like it doesn't matter, including SCOTUS. They are more, my big problem with SCOTUS, those two decisions in the July and August, summer months before that election, they said that a one man is above the law. Okay. In every Jewish children courses in law school, every, you are told in every course that Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: You Charles Barfield: No one is above the law. And you deal with the monarchy of Britain and how that war was established to get away from them, right? And that's why you have the constitution, even with the immoral concept of slavery and making black people three-fifth-old person, all of that. least the public made hypocrisy and the lie through voting and Jonathan Cole: Thank Yeah. Charles Barfield: lie of America became a collective re-pivot of our value system, right? That came from the people. That's what make us great. Not the government, not our great military, the people. We always can redefine who we are. You see, and that's the whole thing. Go ahead. Jonathan Cole: Yep. Tony Hughes: Well Charles And I'm glad you brought that decision up because I'd like pick your brain on that just for a second because now as I understood, and I'm not a lawyer but I play one on TV, right? ⁓ But ⁓ I understood that decision, what thought they said was anything that do that is consistent with your duties as the president of United States is political. Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: It's legal. I mean, it's not governed by criminal law. It's governed by political law, i.e. impeachment. And that the only recourse Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: that the country would have against a president that had operated illegally in his position as president was impeachment. And then guess maybe ⁓ he was removed from office, then I think he could go back and look at perhaps maybe they could look to see whether it's actually criminal, but you had to go through the impeachment process first to remove that person from office. Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: And that's when they got into this big, like he paid off the porn star. What was this? A political Was it criminal issue? Was it a civil issue? And there was something else. And what was the other one, Jonathan? There was something else that they accused him of doing. And his argument was, and that might be what even prompted the Supreme Court decision, but his was, maybe it was January maybe it was the January six piece of it this but his position you know well I wasn't trying to my thumb on the scales with the election I was just doing I was exercising my role as the command as the as chief executive of the country to ensure all the votes have been counted properly ⁓ and and so but then yet but then you get a situation well hell if they do something Jonathan Cole: I think so. Exactly. Tony Hughes: you know, two weeks before their term is up, you ain't got time to impeach them. They're gone anyway. Assume they leave office. Jonathan Cole: Exactly. Charles Barfield: Well, if you remember, but Tony and Jonathan, if you remember, while I actually listened to the hearing, the oral arguments, and one of the biggest things that was said was that, remember how you made that statement, he can take a gun on Fifth Avenue and then shoot somebody, if he's present, it'd be immunity. somewhat that principle was kind of articulated by Jonathan Cole: you Charles Barfield: his lawyers basically saying, and one of jurors asked their lawyer point blank. So if a president just shoot somebody, which we would think would be killing or murder, if he's the president, would he have immunity? They said yes. The lawyers said yes because he's the president. So what you were talking about Tony earlier was what the legal Jonathan Cole: Yeah. You Tony Hughes: Mm. Charles Barfield: was for all this president for hundreds of years, but what changed then was they literally said that a president can do anything be immune. Now prior to that, you remember when Bill Clinton was in office, Paula Jones and her attorney was able to sit him in a three or four hour deposition ⁓ in a civil case. Okay, so that was Jonathan Cole: Yes. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: under the principle that no person was above the law. And that was a simple case, okay? So the big difference here is that a lot of presidents that was changed, that's cold as dead, that basically gave you immunity that as long as you president, you could do anything, which is totally ridiculous. There's no authority for that, but. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Jonathan Cole: Here. Tony Hughes: So Nixon should have just stuck it out then, huh? Charles Barfield: that would be the point was that that based on this ridiculous, just ruling Nixon could just said he's the president. And the action he did while he was president, he has immunity. That's the problem. That's the problem. Jonathan Cole: Thank Yeah. Tony Hughes: Yeah. Jonathan Cole: Well, the thing is, he made that argument at the time, and nobody bought it. So he was saying, like, I'm the president, I have immunity, nobody it. ⁓ Well, and that's where. Tony Hughes: Well, he knew he was going to get impeached. He would have been impeached. I think the Republican leadership came to him and said, dude, you're toast. You need to go ahead. Charles Barfield: See ya. Jonathan Cole: I know that did happen. It was actually Bob Dole and Gary Barry Goldwater pulled up to the White House and like, dude, you got to get out of here. You know, and that that reminded me of something I read in college and I want to look it up when I'm in my newspaper archives. But a congressman, I can't remember his name now, or a senator. wrote a letter to the editor to one of the big Washington Post New York Times, the day after Nixon resigned. it led off with, ⁓ you, James Madison, it worked. ⁓ about the of powers, the checks and balances, it worked. Tony Hughes: Hmm. Mm-hmm. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: You know, even then it worked and you know, we got a corrupt president out of office. He resigned because yeah, he would have been impeached at that point. But it says two things. One is yes, the Constitution works. Now we've got someone who's attacking it on a daily basis. And two, we're so desensitized to things that what would outrage people in 1974, people take for granted nowadays. I mean, Trump's behavior is 50 times worse than Nixon's. Tony Hughes: Yeah. Yeah. Jonathan Cole: Nixon's the Nixon Trump's a narcissist Nixon had a persecution complex a little bit of difference He everybody's out to get me Trump's just like Everybody's out give me but I'm the greatest in the world. Yeah, it's like but Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: you Tony Hughes: Right. Yep. Jonathan Cole: You know, it goes back to this movement and personified in the Project 2025 movement. But there's that about make America great again and the good old days. And for years, a of right wingers, you know, painted this picture of America as a Norman Rockwell his Saturday evening post paintings. Well, the thing was, was they weren't grounded in reality and they were all white people. didn't change until he got away from the Saturday Evening Post. ⁓ Tony Hughes: But that suits them fine, Jonathan. I mean seriously, that just suits them. Jonathan Cole: But if you look at Project 2025, what they really want is to take us back to the Gilded Age, the 1890s. And we're getting close because remember what the Gilded Age was about? Three men in this country owned 90 % of the wealth, Vanderbilt, Morgan, and Rockefeller, and Carnegie. But in 1890s, women couldn't vote. Her husband could beat the crap out of her and there's criminally could be done about it. He could beat the crap out of his children, possibly sometimes kill them. Nothing to be done about it. We had Jim Crow. We had lynching. You know, for 40 years they couldn't pass an anti-lynching bill. know, and it's, you know, and labor. Tony Hughes: racial discrimination, Jim Crow. Jonathan Cole: Children were working 40 hour shifts in the mills. The average worker was working 80 hours. They didn't have time off and the conditions were squalid and safety was not under consideration. And we spent 70, 80 years correcting that. We were as evolving as a country. Women got the right to vote. We got the civil rights and the voting rights act passed. got, know, children can't work in the workplace, you know, the workplace until a certain age. But now they're starting to walk on. that back if you hadn't noticed the Florida a while back lowered the working age to was it 13 in this state now if you're 13 you can work 40 hours and in all these other things they're trying to walk us back to 1890s. That's the good old days. It reminds me of what JFK said about Goldwater because he knew that's who he's going to run with before he got assassinated. But he actually liked very cold water, but he said he was a nut. But he said... Barry is a conservative. He's like the person who likes to sit in the train in the bench that's facing backwards. He likes to look at the scenery that's already passed. But he says, America is a country on the move. You've got to be looking forward. And that's what I see in a lot of, you know, another analogy I made the other night is if Trump and his cronies, they're out there in a perfect world. I don't know if you saw the Hunger Games, but they had all these districts that Tony Hughes: Hehehehehe Mm-hmm. Jonathan Cole: were under slave labor almost to make products the capital district that everybody living in wealth and splendor. ⁓ Elon and Bezos and all those folks and Trump, that's the world they would love to have. That's the America they want. But they've got Americans ⁓ fooled, actually think agree with that because it's in my best interest because you say it is. And that's where we're at as a country. Now, more more people Tony Hughes: Yeah. Jonathan Cole: wising up, but it's not happening fast enough. still, you know, until Trump and those type people are out of Washington, we a problem. I hear all this conversation about the 25th Amendment. Well, it takes the executive branch to do that. And those are all people who sworn loyalty to Trump. So who's going to do it? Tony Hughes: Yeah, all the three stooges, but if you entire cabin with them three stooges, ⁓ that's we've got. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Yeah, but it's power thing because... Exactly. I mean, it's also a power thing. They realize, if Trump stays in office, we're going to lose at midterms. If we remove him, we're going to get killed at midterms, and we might not recover. So instead of doing the right thing, we're going to ride this out as long as we can, and hopefully it resolves itself. We can't do that. Tony Hughes: Now MAGA is going to be the death knell of the Republican Party, I predict it. And don't see any way around it. It's between 70 and 75 % of the Republican Party still. And that's to... to whatever is going to happen in the Republican Party. And will depend upon losing elections. ⁓ you lose midterms and you can't win presidency again and you lose both houses of Congress by the... If you don't lose both houses at the midterms, you definitely lose them at the next presidential election. then, ⁓ and just hope goodness the Democrats have run some decent candidates and they're not all AOC. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: You Okay. Tony Hughes: not all Ilya and Omar and these ⁓ of whack jobs on that very far fringe lift. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Yeah. If you haven't noticed, their pranies haven't done very well in the elections this year. Actually, Democrat that's won in all these special elections have been more centrist. ⁓ Tony Hughes: Well, Mondami, certainly a difference, but we'll see how he turns out. But that's New York. You can't really count. That's New York. That's different. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: But even the one that won in Trump's district, I wouldn't count me in this election. That's always a happy. But even the one that won in Trump's district, they asked her, like, what does it feel to have Trump in your district? She's like, I don't think about him. He's one of 130,000 voters in my district. You know, like, I don't worry about him. So that. So like I said, now I you that. We can't underestimate the Democratic Party's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. ⁓ But I mean, I think they seem a little more on track this year. We'll see. ⁓ But that could all in two years and they'll pick the worst possible presidential candidate. But you know, it's... ⁓ Tony Hughes: To sabotage it, exactly. Well, I thought they ran a good candidate for EMTG's seat. mean, he was in a strong red district and I did just look at the headlines and he did in fact lose but he is retired one-star general in the army and you know small businessman, a farmer. mean he kind of checks all the boxes and I think he was very moderate as far as his views were concerned. Hell, I would have voted for him if ⁓ he running in my district. So we'll have to see if they can come up with good candidates like But that's going to the ⁓ key. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: things and their consequences to elections. We're seeing it right now. And the Democrat Party, they've got to get their, if they're going to get anything, they've got to get their shit together and run some decent candidates that moderate Republicans and non-MAGA Republicans can hold their nose and vote for. I I have to confess, I've never voted for a Democrat in my life. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. No, no, definitely. Hehehe. Tony Hughes: I I registered my first presidential election when Reagan's first term in 1980, was when turned 18. And not so that I necessarily just voted the party ticket, but just in looking at individual candidates in both local and state and federal I always felt like the Republican candidate. fit values, fit my thoughts, fit my theories about how things should be run. Always, ⁓ I tell you right now. already ⁓ who's running in my house district. I already know who's running in my Senate district here in Alabama. And I have not voted for Republican this year. Because have up their ability to have free thought. They're no longer representing their constituents, they're representing Donald Trump. Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Tony Hughes: And every TV commercial you see locally for them, it's them and Trump, this. I who Donald Trump wants to be fighting for him in ⁓ the Congress. And it's like, I want somebody that's going to actually think like an adult and ⁓ at the, and I know politics to line up and they've got to have their caucus in the whole bit, I'm... Jonathan Cole: Thank Charles Barfield: as Tony Hughes: Unless that the significantly significant changes. I know I'm not voting the Republicans on the national ticket this year, least this coming election based on who's running right now. Charles Barfield: Well, I think again, I think that we all got a responsibility, civic responsibility to think what's important is that I agree with everything Johnson was saying in terms of the era I think they want to go back to that, that barbaric ⁓ age where, know, few people can kind of run things and do what they want to do. And I think that if you look at what we do about the F-Team files or whatever, All of that goes back to that demonet, pedophilia, cover-up kind of stuff. That's why I think there's a lot of different, well, Putin with this president, because anything Putin said he does, he gave Russia billions of dollars that was frozen, as well as Iran. Even though he's going to war with Iran. So what do you think Putin going to do with that? Use those billion dollars to go and try to crush Ukraine. So Jonathan Cole: and Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Jonathan Cole: Mm. Tony Hughes: Yeah. Charles Barfield: then ⁓ think Putin's ultimate goal is to use this president as lap dog to NATO. That's ultimately, if you look at everything that he's doing, is really to NATO. Why? That's Putin's top 10 list in one, destroy NATO. Because regardless of what anyone think, NATO is absolutely the greatest thing. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Jonathan Cole: you Thank Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Yep. Charles Barfield: military has ever been created, period, point blank. And so that's why it feared Hoopton because see, if you have one ally nation like us right now, acting silly and crazy, you still got all the rest of them that's sensible, right? And so that's what's happening now because Europe has gotten all those countries, I think it's what, 30 or 40 some countries to Tony Hughes: Yep, that's right, that's right, that's right. Yep. Yep. Okay. Charles Barfield: to deal with Iran and negotiate with them about going through this straight, right? ⁓ Not even maybe going to China currency, the fact that they got, everybody's doing things without the United States and isolationism don't pay off. You know what saying? It's just not good business. It's not good business, but you know, I think that of the things that is very important that it's always, Tony Hughes: Yep. . Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: Yeah. Charles Barfield: I don't mean it's politically, but the word progressive, it got to be in this context, mean, maturing, changing the rooms of America. That's the self-empowerment that the constitution give us as individuals. And when the people exercise their power, we don't idolatry or worship the politicians. Unfortunately, with this president, too many millions of people idolatry or worshiping this guy. that they won't use their brain to think for nothing. And unfortunately, that's a minimum between 33 to 40, up in a 40 % of our general population. Okay, that's the problem. That's a heck of a lot. People that's automatically in the population evil, crazy, delusionalist, idolatry, Jonathan Cole: you Charles Barfield: You know, it all goes back to what J.L.K. said. Do not ask what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country? got to have that as an American because that's how we can change things. You know, we mess up as a society, but if we our power, it's like we have, as a corporate group of Americans, we seem to forgot our power. we can do. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: We have, we have, we have. Charles Barfield: And we just aborted it and gave it to the politicians as if like we hopeless. And that's when we defeated, when we feel hopeless, that change is not possible. When we get in that dual state, we done. You know what saying? And I do believe the fever is sort of breaking where you have a lot of sensible members of the GOP that realize that, we just can't destroy the country, but there's nothing in here. And I think that... Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Yeah. Tony Hughes: Yep. Yep. Charles Barfield: That's the thing that we got to get back to. And can appreciate you Tony and small population of your that represent the concept that John McCain said, you you gotta love your more than your party. You understand? And that's always my case with me, because I don't care about either one of the parties I care about. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yep. Jonathan Cole: Okay. Tony Hughes: Wait. Charles Barfield: the good, the righteousness, and how it aligns with my God. And there's a humanity. If your God doesn't have no humanity, I don't want to serve that God. I don't know that God. So humanity, yeah. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Yeah, and that's the thing. And this is thing because this is part of what we've lost. And I'm not gonna just necessarily blame this on Trump. I think we started losing this 15, 20 years ago. We don't think of ourselves as Americans first, we think about ourselves as Republicans first, or Democrats first, or Progressives first, or Conservatives first, or MAGA first. We gotta start thinking about ourselves as Americans first, and we've get back to this idea that, you know, I can't get everything I want. You know, may be right. I in my mind, I may have everything just laid out perfectly well. And I might explain it to you, Charles, in such ⁓ wonderful terms and to Jonathan in such wonderful communication that there's just no way, no way you can disagree with it. But yet you may still disagree with it. So now what's the next step? Do we just get pissed off and walk away? Do we get into a fight? Do I get a gun and shoot both of you? I mean, what do we do? How about we still sit down and then try to, well, you tell me how you feel about it. Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: and hmm, you know, may not have thought this thing all the way through. I may missed a spot here or there. Or maybe here's something that's really important to you, but in the overall scheme of things, it's not that critical to me. So let me give up a little bit on my side, but then you take a step in my direction too. See now, to me, that's a good negotiator. The good negotiator is the art of the deal where let me find Jonathan Cole: Mm. Tony Hughes: the biggest stick to club over your head and beat you into submission because there's some other folks out there that had big sticks. I think Trump has realized that Iran still has a big stick. Still, still has a, call the Straddlehorn Muse, still has a big stick. you can't just, Putin has got a big stick. You just overwhelm them ⁓ with all the military might we have. Charles Barfield: Yes Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Okay. Tony Hughes: Like even Trump himself said today, all it takes is just a random saying that we put mines in the Strait of Hormuz and it shuts down the strait. know, maybe got ⁓ to about, okay, well, what's really truly important? Okay, the nuclear program is really truly important. You're just not gonna have a nuke. know, but so let's So here are the I have got to have. But now let's talk Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: some things that I can let you have Mr. Iran, even though you're evil and you're terrible and you're a terrorist organization, but I'm not prepared to go invade your country. I'm not prepared to vaporize you with a nuclear weapon. know, so there's bad people. There's always gonna be bad people in the world. We got to find a way to live with them. Charles Barfield: But see Tony, Tony. Exactly, Tony. The thing about it is that, I mean, objectively speaking right now, if you live anywhere outside of the United States of America, you would think we are the most terrorist, evil, corrupt nation ever. And that's just objectively speaking. So that's the problem. See, Saddam Hussein, Manuel Noriega, everybody was our friend until they became our... Jonathan Cole: Hey. Tony Hughes: ⁓ yeah, yeah, absolutely. Charles Barfield: and it was the enemy because America decided to back Benedict on the field, right? So, thing is that, you know, I do agree what both of you and Jonathan were saying to the extent where have to get to the point where, and I'll use this metaphor that was personal. Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Tony Hughes: Yep. Yep. Charles Barfield: My late great-law partner, Thomas Prowell, he went on about a year ago. God called him on to glory. I when me and my wife, we'd been married a long time now. And Tom tell me in an office, he would say, Charles, simple point, do you want to be right or do you want to be married? And the revelation of that Tony Hughes: Hahaha Charles Barfield: The revelation of that changed my life. It changed my perspective that ⁓ didn't have to be technical, right. That's not what I said. ⁓ You because another way he was saying, you won't be happy and peaceful or you will be technical, right, rigid and right. ⁓ And was early in my marriage, the first few years or so. And so when I that concept, Tony Hughes: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yep, yep. I love that. Charles Barfield: My marriage is fundamentally just with smooth sailing because in my mind, the revelation it helped me. It took me the edge of male, that monchonism the point where it was too rigid. It kind of clipped edges off and it made a little bit more smoother, maybe more complicated. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: See ya. Jonathan Cole: Well, Tony, Charles, it's also a good thing you married a good girl from Apalachicola. ⁓ Charles Barfield: Exactly, That's strong, you know. ⁓ Tony Hughes: Well, and as a divorce guy, I'm going to slightly amend that advice. ⁓ you want to be right or do you want to keep the other half of your shit? ⁓ So I can appreciate that. I can definitely appreciate that. Jonathan Cole: you Yeah. Charles Barfield: But yeah, but yeah, but I think that and that's what, but my point to use that personal change and revelation to me in terms of the political aspect what we're talking about is just the fact that we got to realize that like what you allude to Tony, something by itself means you don't get everything you want by definition. And we got to Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: get your point what compromise is not a Bad word is not a bad thing. It's a very good thing three separation of powers is designed that way to make stuff hard to get you so we won't have a king It was a one-have a dictator. It's so we have a lot of people in Congress and you have a lot of sentences that's supposed to ⁓ in theory regulate the or four district easy Tony Hughes: Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep. Charles Barfield: House members and you got the senators who get them more years to be more solid, more kind of groomed and know things. That's that's systemically designed to get tough, big things through, which means you have to compromise in nature. But on both you got, it's not just the maggots or the wackos, you got to deal with just as dumb. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Charles Barfield: It's not pure enough. It's not pure enough. We can't compromise with that. can't, I mean, don't have to compromise your fundamental values, but you gotta, it's this. It's like, you know, you could be right and go nowhere, or you can to a certain extent and get progressively move the ball forward. And if you're just standing still, you're not growing. Tony Hughes: Yep. Charles Barfield: You know what saying? So you gotta grow and grow mean movement. You cannot be in the standstill, you know? Tony Hughes: That's right. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Yeah. Tony Hughes: And I really hope, and this is another reason why I really think and hope that at least the House moves over to the Democrat side, because if they get some decent candidates, then, know, I remember, probably remember, as long as you might remember, Alan Boyd, who the Florida House. Charles Barfield: Yes. Jonathan Cole: Yep, actually know Alan very well. ⁓ Tony Hughes: Yeah. Oh, that's right. Well, you've been, that's right. Cause you, you, you should, but you know, he was, he was, he was, he was the old, the Tallahassee, but he was, he's one those blue doll Democrats where, know, the, Democrat party would, you know, like choke him, but to get them to him to go along with them. But you know, he, he still had a, a, a conservative vein in him and he still, he still thought for himself. And so, you know, they, they would, they would have to just shove these things down his throat and he would just. Charles Barfield: He from Panama City, right? He from our area. Yeah, yeah. Jonathan Cole: out on a sailor. Tony Hughes: strangle it on them they turn blue. And I think that we need Republicans and Democrats that are like that, that they still work within their own party, but they can also work with the other party. And just know, I'm not gonna get everything, but I'll still get something important done. You know, our country... Jonathan Cole: Well, that was the home. Yeah. Tony Hughes: You know, we're $38 trillion debt. mean, the amount of debt that I cut and this war, know, he wants to fit almost a 50 % increase in defense. And I'm a defense guy, but good Lord, a 50 % increase in defense spending, you know, a $300 billion just to cover the war. You know, when we talk about it's our taxpayer, no, it's not our taxpayer money. It's our great grandchildren's Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Yeah. Whoa. Tony Hughes: that's gonna pay this stuff back. Charles Barfield: Let me ask you, can I ask you both a question? Okay, both of y'all, I really want to hear y'all answer this question because this is not being said a lot the media. Now it's being very clear how many billions per day do we lose and how many hundred dollar planes, don't know, F-15, F-15 other planes that cost ⁓ a lot money that's been destroyed. That's kind of been kind of understood. Jonathan Cole: Well, not only that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Charles Barfield: Well, this is the silent thing. And this is my question. All those bombs that we're dropping, whatever, they got to be reimbursed. got to build new, that's going to be, so it's like Lockheed, Arrows, defense contractors, I think in some way it was social welfare, but that's another issue. But my point is this, that Jonathan Cole: Thank Charles Barfield: No one's talking about all the bombs and all the crap that Israel is doing. Even in Lebanon, going after Iranians, who they consider an ⁓ terrorist group. So not that we're going to need so-called trillions for his budget, but what about Israel? and all the bombs that they dropping that we've been finding already. There's no breaks on both parties with Israel. They tell them what to do and they do it. So my question to y'all is that, what about the money that Israel, Israel is spending even more crazy money than we are in this war. Cause they fighting and dropping bombs like crazy in Lebanon and nobody's really talking about it. So my question to y'all is, what are we gonna do about the- Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: They are. They are. Charles Barfield: Israel, fun? Jonathan Cole: Well, that's a subject you can't discuss in this country. Tony Hughes: Well, Israel is. Yeah, and Israel, Israel is not even. They don't live with the same rules that we live as far as rules of engagement. I don't think, I mean, just look what they did in Gaza. I mean, they basically just bulldozed down everything in the Gaza Strip. And yeah, mean, there's a bad organization there, and yes, they are. They are supported to extent by that population. I got it, I understand it. But at the same time, Israel has just gone way, too far. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Thank Tony Hughes: hell, Trump was gonna just pack them all up and move them somewhere else and guys into another ⁓ beachfront He was turning into a real estate deal for him. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Thank Exactly. was Israel's plan all along. Instead of using bulldozers, they used bombs for demolition. That was the plan all along. I sent you that article Saturday about Switzerland. I don't if you saw it. You have to read the tea leaves. Talk to your point a little bit, Charles. Charles Barfield: You Tony Hughes: Yeah. Yeah. Jonathan Cole: Switzerland is backing out of a pretty large contract for putting the Golden Dome over country, the anti-missile system. And it's because have failed to deliver missiles they've already paid for, ⁓ because we're using in Iran. Well, where Switzerland going to go for military technology if not us? Either Russia or China. So I said, there's always in Trump nothing about repercussions you know Switzerland's been that kind odd thing for years with their neutrality and being stuck up on top of a mountain and citizen of Switzerland is in the reserves. ⁓ every has a closet with weaponry in it. And even didn't want to mess with Switzerland. ⁓ But ⁓ they still to buy, they don't have a large industrial complex. So to buy weapons from other people. And traditionally it's been from us. mean, they've got F-18 Hornets and they Tony Hughes: Yeah. Jonathan Cole: they buy most their arms from us, now... You know, we've have reneged on our our agreement with them sell them technology that they've actually I think already paid for. And they're going to go elsewhere, you know, and like I said, that only leaves two options. So, yeah, more and more China's quietly kind of filling the void country is is is creating due Donald Trump's that leadership. ⁓ Charles Barfield: Yeah. Yeah. Tony Hughes: Well, and speaking of which, that too, I can't, I don't want to waste any time before I talk about J.D. Vance's visit to Hungary today. Did y'all see that? So the Prime Minister of Hungary is a guy named Orbán or Orban or something like that. And apparently he's a big buddy of Trump and he's up for reelection. The election is I think next week. And apparently he's struggling. So Trump sent Vance over to Hungary to live. Jonathan Cole: Uh-uh. Charles Barfield: Yeah. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Yeah, we're going. you Tony Hughes: campaign so we're now directly interfering and messing with another sovereign country's elections but here's the thing about our Bonnie so we're gonna take a quiz here so what country and prime minister took China belt road money Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: to build infrastructures through their country. And also just a couple of weeks ago told Putin that he'd be available for him for anything he needed. Or Bonnie. So Hungary is in bed with China. They're in bed with Russia. Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: And Trump was over there campaigning for him and the Hungarian people are the ones they're seeing. Look, this guy's not doing for us because he's, he's, he's in bed with China and he's, he's, he's pledged fealty to Putin who's waging war, you know, close to our borders. And now here comes JD Vance on behalf Trump to say vote for Orbanian. I mean, it's. Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: I mean, this is all, this is so incestual that. Charles Barfield: You can't make it up, Tony. Jonathan Cole: Hmm Tony Hughes: Putin, still believe Putin is the common denominator with all of this, with Trump, with Armani. I mean, it gets to, and not to quote Trump, but it all gets back to Russia, Russia, Russia. ⁓ And I've seen US president be so in the bag with dictators. mean, even Trump was again talking, guess this past Sunday about Kim Jong-un. Jonathan Cole: ⁓ yeah. Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: You know, well, Kim Jong-un said that Biden was mentally retarded, but you know, I get along good with Kim. So, well, good for you. I'm so happy that the dictator of North Korea loves our president. I feel so much better about that. I mean, he should hate our president. I want him to hate our president. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Charles Barfield: Well, Tony, Jonathan, Kim Moon-yoo, the North Korea dictator has really been saying a lot of mentally crazy things about Trump over the last couple of weeks. Very clear, right? So that's kind of funny. But what's really hilarious to me was JD Benz, I don't know if you're watching the news, but they literally was quoting him and I'm seeing it on the radio as I was driving. Jonathan Cole: I can't even say it, that's a bit off for a concern. Charles Barfield: As he's over there, he's literally telling the people that one should be coming over there and revolving themselves in foreign elections. He literally said that verbatim and then he goes and tells people to vote for him. You can't make this up. You can't make this stuff up. It's like they're like a Saturday Night Live skit. Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Tony Hughes: While he's out there doing, you can't make that shit up. Charles Barfield: But the consequences are severe for us as taxpayers. Tony Hughes: I don't know, it really is. Yep. Yep. Jonathan Cole: Well, just for an example, 20 years ago, I used to enjoy reading this newspaper. It was almost like April Fool's every day. It was called The Onion. And they would report on things that sounded ridiculous but made it sound factual. Well, Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Jonathan Cole: The onion's irrelevant now because any news media, what they're telling us ridiculous because of Mr. Trump and his It's like every day, it's like, what is you always say, Tony? What fresh hell is this week bringing us? like, ⁓ you ⁓ know next Tuesday, we're going to scratching our heads at something else. And it's like, but again, where does it end? Tony Hughes: Yeah, what fresh hill are we in today? Yeah. Jonathan Cole: ⁓ I'm waiting for, I forget his name now, but he was the senator who... stuck a sword in McCarthyism. in a committee meeting and McCarthy was doing, ⁓ I've got in my pocket the list of 50 communist, know, McCarthy was ruining people's lives in this country. And he ⁓ going a rant and this senator just like, just like stop, stop, stop. He's like. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Jonathan Cole: When at long last is this going to end? at long last are you going to admit that you don't have evidence? And just read him the riot act. It televised because it read little for TV, but I think it made the news reels. But he just took pen and popped that McCarthy bubble, and then it away finally. But I've been waiting for person who would ever confront Trump on some sort of level say those words. When at last ⁓ are You done, you know? Tony Hughes: You know, he may across the line now, who knows? ⁓ the threats, with the tweets on Sunday, the tweets today. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Well, you know. Oh, I don't know if you noticed too that the world famous traditional egg roll at the White House, Easter egg roll, do you see his little address to the kids? He ran it for five minutes. Yeah, he ran it five minutes about Biden using the auto pen to six year olds. Tony Hughes: Yeah. Charles Barfield: I didn't. I was at church. I didn't see it. Tony Hughes: Now this yesterday morning, Charles. This was during the egg roll. Autopin. Charles, he was literally sitting at the kids table. He had about 10 or 15 kids around him. I think he was signing autographs. And he starts going on this rant about, know Biden couldn't sign because he just used the autopin. Jonathan Cole: Just, yep. Charles Barfield: Mm-hmm. Jonathan Cole: You Tony Hughes: You know, you know what the auto pen is? mean, and I even posted on my phone, Facebook, I posted that video because it's got the video, got the audio and everything. And it's like, you know, I love when grandpa sits around and tells kids the stories about the old days. mean, ⁓ he's just, he's just, he's lost it mentally. I mean, I mean, these kids are like seven and eight years old. I mean, they, they don't even know, they barely even know who Trump is, much less who Biden was, much less ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Is that old? Yeah. Tony Hughes: what an auto pen is. And you think of something to say to the, and also it's kind of funny, John, I put this on my Facebook page too, but when Trump he was spouting off, when they were making the opening remarks and he's up there with Melania and the Easter bunny is next to him, and Trump is making all these wild, Jonathan Cole: He he. Tony Hughes: promises of fire and brimstone coming on Iran and the Easter bunny is like right there like and it's like is an SNL skit because you've got Trump all this tough all this tough talk all this you know by god we're gonna kick their ass and you got the east wind and ⁓ like ⁓ gotta be shitting me ⁓ I saw I saw I saw an AI photo afterwards Jonathan Cole: you Yeah, I know it is. Tony Hughes: And it's like, you know, poor Marco Rubio, he's really got a tough, tough gig because they had the hat off and it Marco Rubio was the Easter bunny. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Ha ha ha ha. talk about someone that has sold their soul. We remember what all he said about Trump in 2016 and now he's now he's his happy. I know now they're all. Charles Barfield: Again. Tony Hughes: ⁓ It's insane, it's insane, it's insane. ⁓ They all have. JD Vance did too. Pete Hegseth. Pete Hegseth did. They have sold their soul for MAGA. For political power that MAGA, that they think MAGA is bringing to them to take that mantle when Trump gives it up. Charles Barfield: Right. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Well, here's what they don't understand. This is a one-trick pony. MAGA isn't going to exist without Trump. If they think it's a movement that's going to continue on under their leadership, they're sorely mistaken. Tony Hughes: Oh man, yes, they got it all planned out. It's gonna be JD Vance for eight years, then it's gonna be Marco Rubio for eight years after that, and then it's gonna be Barron Trump after that. They're gonna run Barron for president after JD and Marco has 16 years, they're gonna run Barron. So it's gonna be stay in the family. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. So they did the same thing with... Charles Barfield: Well, he's getting out of stop money like his family. So that's that goal. ⁓ Tony Hughes: Hahaha Jonathan Cole: Well, years ago, they said the same thing about the Kennedys that John was going to have eight years, then Bobby would have eight years, and Teddy would have eight years. But after two assassinations and a car driving off a bridge, didn't happen. It's just... Tony Hughes: Yeah. Jonathan Cole: But I think they honestly think they're going to be able to take this MAGA movement further into the future. all about Trump. And when he's not there, well, the worst thing I think about is if they do try to the 25th what are his followers going to do? Is it going to January 6th all over again? ⁓ Because he's liable to out trick. ⁓ Tony Hughes: Yeah. Probably. He won't go down fighting. He won't go down fighting. I he won't go down without a fight. He won't go down without a fight. Jonathan Cole: He's gonna come save me, you know Come come to Washington and save me, you know it you know it that we worried about that when he was facing trial before the election that if got convicted and gang put in an arts jumpsuit that you know posses weren't gonna come try to rescue him. You know, it was but it's all him and It's It is just sad. Charles Barfield: To me, she just goes back to what I'm saying earlier. My number one problem is with SCOTUS because the things and the rules that they are allowed to do. I don't know if you was aware of it, y'all was aware of it, but SCOTUS just literally, um, um, is basically exonerating of many of the January, uh, terrorists in my opinion. Uh, uh, what was the guy that was. Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Yeah. Right. Charles Barfield: with the, when the Trump administration, they got out banding. They just basically overturned remanded banning sentence to the lower courts to reconsider, which basically kind ⁓ a remand that say that we don't think you did the right thing here. And which is almost kind influenced indirectly the lower court to say to dishonorate those charges. And we also know. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Charles Barfield: That general fleeing is of embarrassing calling him a general now that That he admitted to his a crime and then this justice department has again gave him like well at least a seven figure settlement but I want to ask you guys another question. What do you think about? Well, this is legitimate news reporting saying that of that venezuela oil going in trump Jonathan Cole: Mm. Charles Barfield: pockets, then they're saying that this new, this, I it a mob bribery board, but it's basically all those, the piece, yeah, that, yeah. So they're saying that somehow he's in control of funds. Just stop manipulation. What more evidence? Tony Hughes: The of Peace. you Charles Barfield: is more directly you told it because you know the GOP kind of thinking what more help it is to the regular GOP feels me with all this conflict of interest felt or monies and taking the money is that's not yours and that's bills and no accounting What what what do we know? Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: It's not even in, well let's take like the Venezuelan oil for instance. I understand, and I actually heard some congressional testimony about this the other day. So we're controlling the oil comes out of Venezuela. Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Tony Hughes: And as the oil is and shipped and paid for, we are taking the money and we're putting that money in an offshore account. and then, but it's under the Department of Treasury's control. And then we're deciding how much of that money to give back to the country of Venezuela and how much to keep for us. But it's not in the US Treasury account, is in an offshore bank account right now. ⁓ they have prom, and they, Jonathan Cole: Hmm. Charles Barfield: And does Trump control that for sure? Does he have control of that or his confidence? Tony Hughes: Well, Scott Besant does, the Secretary of Treasury does. So, and he's promised, and I heard Besant talking about this, Besant has promised that it's ultimately going to be transferred, that when we get our share of the money, it will be put back into the Treasury. But suppose that they can't put it in the Treasury yet, because they're still dividing the money up. And it would take a congressional appropriation. If they took all the money and then gave some of back to Venezuela, that was a congressional appropriation. Jonathan Cole: Thank Thank Tony Hughes: appropriation this way they can they can isolate it control it and then just take the net back in the treasure that's at least what Besant has said about the Venezuelan oil but but at the same time yeah he's they're taking the oil they're taking they took it they've we've and ⁓ Charles Barfield: Well, let ask you another follow up to that, Tony, a follow up to that. And I appreciate that explanation. So your view, not what they're explaining, but in your view, what is America cut and how do they get a cut from taking somebody else's oil? Jonathan Cole: you Tony Hughes: I don't think that they've told anybody yet what our cut is going to be because it's just piracy. It's piracy. Now, okay, so someone will sanction. you know, I said all along, mean, Jonathan can tell you when we were doing our podcast, this first came up and said, look, this is about three things, OIL. So has the price of cocaine, not a drug addict, I don't know. And this is probably more of rhetorical question. Charles Barfield: Yeah! Tony Hughes: But since we've taken Maduro out of Venezuela, has the price of cocaine gone up on the street? Has the supply of cocaine on our streets in America dried up because we have taken out this big, drug dealer? I mean, I don't know, but I certainly haven't heard about it. Have we noticed that... Jonathan Cole: You'll have to ask Don. You'll have to ask Don. You'll have to Don Jr. Tony Hughes: Have we noticed a massive decrease in the number of drug overdoses because, know, how many millions of people was Maduro killing because of all these drugs? Well, Maduro's in jail now. I assume these millions of people are not dying. So we should be having this massive, you know, massive decrease in mortality rates in the country. I haven't heard that be reported anywhere yet. So, so it was always about oil. I mean, you listen to, you gotta do is listen to Trump. All you got to do is listen to Trump. As soon as they took Maduro, the very first thing he talked about was oil, oil, oil. And we didn't change the regime. The vice president of the country is now running things and we're getting along great. They're our best friend now. Right. Right. They got... Well, no. Charles Barfield: Exactly. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Hmm. They even give Trump a Nobel Peace Prize. Charles Barfield: Yeah, yeah, he won her Nobel Peace Prize. That's why he really attacked them too. Tony Hughes: Yeah, yeah, but see, that poor lady gave her Nobel Prize prize to him and she still ain't in charge. nothing, nothing has changed. Even person that they're dealing with, they were under indictment. We didn't go get them. They were ⁓ in all the drug deals. Are we still blowing boats up in the And blowing these boats were blowing up in the Pacific. These boats weren't even headed to the United States. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Charles Barfield: Exactly. Jonathan Cole: Okay. Yeah. Tony Hughes: They couldn't make it to the United States if they wanted to. They were small boats. have to have something with thousands of gallons of fuel to make the trip from Venezuela to the US. It was all just total bullshit. It was just all bullshit. Jonathan Cole: But you're missing the point. You're missing the point. boats blowing up on Fox News is very impressive. And all that matters. ⁓ Yeah. Tony Hughes: ⁓ yeah, he likes, it's the video game. It's the video game. But was all about OIL, ⁓ ⁓ Because, and we've forgotten about it now, I mean, I would love to be a reporter to say, okay, well I wanted to go out on the streets and find out what was the price of cocaine before Maduro was captured and what's the price of cocaine today? How red? Jonathan Cole: No, definitely. it always has been, so... All you gotta do is ask Jr. He'll tell you. ⁓ Charles Barfield: Hehehehehe Tony Hughes: You know, and I loved how they all said fentanyl, fentanyl, well no fentanyl comes from Venezuela. I mean, it's like you haven't done anything about fentanyl, nothing. And most people die of overdoses from fentanyl. In the overall scheme of things, not that many people die of overdoses of cocaine. Now they may be having cocaine laced with fentanyl, but just cocaine, cocaine? Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: The statistics I read, very few deaths from overdose with cocaine. Now, it's a bad drug, it's illegal, I'm not gonna get into, I'm not gonna try to a moral argument for it. All I'm just gonna try to say is, it was the excuse, it was not the reason. We wanted the oil. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Thank No, no, definitely. Yep. Greg says it's time to sign off. So I guess we need to ⁓ winding down a little. Although, as usual, there's much to talk about. ⁓ Tony Hughes: All right. Charles, it's great to have you here tonight. Appreciate it. Charles Barfield: I'm glad to be here. really enjoyed the discussion from both of y'all. Tony Hughes: Yes, sir. Jonathan Cole: Yep. We appreciate everyone in the audience that's watching our show and appreciate you for supporting Guardians of the Republic. Hit like button, hit the bell, get the word out, share it around, your comments. But most of all, we you leave with maybe a little bit more than you had before you started. So Charles, was good having you back again and Tony, you as always. to do for the show for the night. Tony Hughes: We'll see y'all next week. Jonathan Cole: See y'all next week. Alright. I'm gonna say he'll cut it off from here. Tony Hughes: Yeah. All right. Charles Barfield: Okay. Yeah. Tony Hughes: Well, y'all have a great week. see what the week brings here. Charles Barfield: I'm glad he did a Taco Tuesday tonight though, for the good of our troops. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Uh-oh. Tony Hughes: I am too. am too. ⁓ I'm glad it wasn't Armageddon Tuesday. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Well, I was more worried that... why I ⁓ worried is that, you at what yeah, does he pull back and uses a nuclear weapon? That's what had me worried. ⁓ Charles Barfield: Exactly. But this is the thing though, but he was threatening that, that verbatim from the office and the presidency of the United States something that we don't see. And I do believe that we cannot have what I call a technical victory. We have to have a paradigm cultural shift. That's why when Bob Dole, And the other gentleman, Senator came to Nixon. They said the gig is up. The gig is up. And this is my own language because they basically saying that you have defacing the fame, the institution of the presidency and our American values that you got to go because we again believe our country is greater any one president. ⁓ Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: You got to applaud the Republicans for that. And that's what I think needs to happen here. If you let the Dems do it, do voting on the midterms, I believe we're going to lose long term. If we're going to win as a cultured nation and progress in terms of redefining our values as a nation, it's important for the Republicans Jonathan Cole: Okay. Charles Barfield: to find us find and lead the rest of us and say, do it like way before. When I say way before, I'm like weeks, like days. You bounce and pounce off of that statement on Easter. If you care anything about your Lord and Savior that you proclaim you do, what more motivation do you need? And to defend every country and faith by using the Elbow. Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Yep. ⁓ Yeah. Yeah. Hmm Charles Barfield: in a tweet, you imagine if Obama or Clinton or even Hillary, anybody did that? We'll be in like a civil war right now if they did things like that. Yeah. Jonathan Cole: Thank you. Tony Hughes: ⁓ my god. ⁓ my god. We would have been out there with torches and pitchforks after them. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. It's Charles Barfield: exactly. know, so ⁓ I I just I don't know about the Yeah, I thought, you know, like they say, the movie extra ET, I call it. ⁓ don't understand a of evil tolerance with this guy. I just don't understand it. The level of evil tolerance. I don't get it. I can't. I ⁓ only want get spiritually. Tony Hughes: No question about it. Would have made January 6th look like a birthday party. Yeah. Well, I'll explain that to you Charles. That a bunch of old angry white people. ⁓ MAGA is expressing their anger because in a lot of ways the world has passed them by. Charles Barfield: Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: They are now seeing women get jobs that just the old white men used to get. They're now seeing black people and brown people get jobs and get opportunities, get education, successful. That used to be white guys only. That was the good old white boys club. And we don't like it. We don't like it at all. And Trump up and gives voice to that. I kind of had sort of a love hate relationship with Rush Limbaugh. I liked, I liked some of the things he said and, but I, but I at least plugged in to why he was as popular as he was because he kind of, they didn't call it MAGA then this was, this was really before Trump, but he kind of He touched on the nerve that a lot of old white people have have because they're, they sit around listen to the AM radio during day because they're retired. And he a niche audience that could, that he could inflame and he could out, look at the, look at the terrible things that the gays are doing. Look at the terrible things that the blacks are doing. Look at the terrible things that the Hispanics are doing, you know, and, and, and, And our way of life is being threatened. all a sudden that anger, for them, they've been that the whole time. But now all of a sudden, here was someone saying what they were feeling. And they, it was like they've been justified. They've been confirmed. It's been confirmed. then, and then Trump takes it and turns it into Frankenstein. And now you've got this monster raging around the country and it's really, it really kind of started, I think with Rush, maybe a little bit innocently. think he just sort of stumbled into it, but then all of a sudden now Trump has made MAGA out of it and You know, we don't like DEI anymore. We don't want, we don't want black people to have equal opportunities. We don't want Hispanic. We want the Hispanics out of the country. know, we don't even want them to even get in the country. and if they're here, we want them out and well, you were born here. Well, we want you out anyway. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: because your parents weren't legal when they came here. So they've just tapped into this anger, this ignorant anger, instead of trying to educate yourself try to... Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Tony Hughes: realize, okay, well, gee, these are some smart people too. Gee, they were born here. have the same vote I have. They have the same right to a feeling. They have the same protection of the Constitution I have. No, my vote should count more because I'm a white guy. I mean, this is because it is all, oh, I'm a white Christian American. And so therefore I am superior. Jonathan Cole: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Tony Hughes: to everyone. Hey, hey, it was the it was the white male Christians that made this country great. That's what they want to go back to. That's the making America great again. The white Christian males, Christian with the quotes, obviously, that's how America made was made great. That's what we want to go back to. We don't want we don't want black Christian males or black Christian females or and God forbid if you're trans and God forbid if you're gay. So Jonathan Cole: Well... Tony Hughes: This is, you ⁓ believe the Bible does not speak favorably of gay people, but at the same time, I'm enough of a live and let live guy kind of guy. I can't think of one thing where my life has been harmed because two gay people got married. Jonathan Cole: you Thank Yeah. Tony Hughes: and decide to hold their property and own their house and their collectively as two married people. ⁓ life has not been damaged because of a trans person. I believe in it. I'm not gonna do it. But if they wanna get dressed up and play Halloween, I'll go along with it. It's not that big of a deal for me. Jonathan Cole: Well, so my thing is, no. Charles Barfield: Thank you. Jonathan Cole: Well. So my thing is that the Bible is far more condemnatory of adultery gay, but yet this elected a serial adulterer. ⁓ You ⁓ Charles Barfield: But that's a that's a letter. You know, the selective of scripture is worst level of hypocrisy, because if you love God, you love the fullness of his word. If you say you love him, if you don't love him, if you don't know him, you don't vibe with that. That's a different story. But if you say you love God, you got to take all his word. Tony Hughes: Hmm. Yeah. Jonathan Cole: You ⁓ Tony Hughes: Yeah. Charles Barfield: And the Bible tells you, in all I get, get understanding. And you can't quote scripture without knowing what they really mean in the context of what the scripture is saying. You know what mean? There's a contact to everything. Tony Hughes: Yep. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Tony Hughes: You have to, I have a preacher, one time priest, you have to interpret scripture with scripture. Charles Barfield: Yes, yeah, and cross reference script with scriptures, not take one isolated scripture, you know, and then try to run with it. But yeah, that you have to study stuff, you know, it's like, you know, often tell people that why is it that everyone thinks that they can take a scripture now they think they've been called by God? You know, wouldn't you wouldn't let a non surgeon do surgery on you. Tony Hughes: That's right. That's right. Charles Barfield: wouldn't let ⁓ you know i'm saying all different professions are trained ⁓ with you were talking about about the training earlier If you're training anything You can appreciate it. Like I I don't go in other people's lanes Right, and that's another thing We don't have a reference and deference to other disciplines like we used to be like everybody's expert in that culture And this is the only thing I think is negative about social media Jonathan Cole: Thank Tony Hughes: Mm-hmm. Charles Barfield: Everybody thinks they're a freaking expert on something because saw it on social media. I can do that. You you cannot negate like ⁓ been a banker. Studied finance, economics, the courses and all of that, Tony. Like you can't just read some crap on Google and think you could be a banker or a travel expert. ⁓ Would John or lawyer? ⁓ People they can. That is only negative I have with social media that Tony Hughes: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Right, that's right, that's right. Charles Barfield: People feel self-empowered that they can skip the grind and just automatically make themselves self-experts. That's the whole problem with Trump. I know better than the general. He said that before he got elected. Now he's showing you, showing the world. He knows more than the general. He said it. Jonathan Cole: day. Tony Hughes: Confirm it. Yeah, it's confirmation bias. We heard it on Fox News. We heard the president say it, therefore we're experts on it. Because again, I don't have any independent thought of my own. I don't have the ability to process information. I just only know what Trump says. So, and you go. All right. Hey, y'all have a great evening. See y'all next week. Charles Barfield: Peace. Jonathan Cole: Yeah. Charles Barfield: Yeah. But anyway, folks, I was late. I enjoyed y'all. See you next time. God bless you all. Alrighty. Good night. Jonathan Cole: Yep. Yep. Have a good one. Alright. Alright. Tony Hughes: Take care, God bless you too, Charles. Thanks, thanks, Jonathan. Bye bye, good night.
