- 0:06Speaker 1: This was in his acceptance speech for the Democrat nomination
- 0:09Speaker 1: for mayor. Your response to zorhan.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Manon good luck.
- 0:16Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Good Tuesday morning. It's so nice to have you with
- 0:21Speaker 4: us on the forty seven Morning Update. Here are the
- 0:24Speaker 4: big stories we're talking about. The biggest one is the
- 0:27Speaker 4: big beautiful Bill. We have a lot that is happening
- 0:31Speaker 4: as we're recording this a little after midnight right now,
- 0:34Speaker 4: and there's word that there are some Republican holdouts in
- 0:37Speaker 4: the Senate. Much is changing, and the President is working
- 0:41Speaker 4: the phone lines. We'll give you the latest that we
- 0:43Speaker 4: have for you right now in just a moment. Also,
- 0:47Speaker 4: in a shocking move, a major TV network is now
- 0:51Speaker 4: helping warn individuals where ICE agents are so that they
- 0:56Speaker 4: can get away from being held accountable for breaking our laws.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Who's doing it? We'll expose that coming up as well.
- 1:04Speaker 4: But first I got to tell you there is an
- 1:07Speaker 4: amazing cup of coffee that's sitting in front of me
- 1:09Speaker 4: right now, and if you're a coffee drinker, you've got
- 1:13Speaker 4: to know about Krocket Coffee. When I had my first cup,
- 1:17Speaker 4: I knew it was special. It is roasted to perfection
- 1:20Speaker 4: in small batches on purpose by experts who love the
- 1:24Speaker 4: taste of great coffee. It's roasted also in our nation's heartland,
- 1:29Speaker 4: and it's delivered fresh to your door. You're going to
- 1:32Speaker 4: love it. And one of the best things is who
- 1:35Speaker 4: has started this company, Buck Sexton and Klay Travis, two
- 1:39Speaker 4: good friends of mine, and I can tell you they
- 1:41Speaker 4: don't cut corners. They only want quality, top quality. That
- 1:46Speaker 4: is what they do with small batch roasting. It is
- 1:48Speaker 4: their specialty and this is why I want you to
- 1:51Speaker 4: try it, because they don't sell out. Yeah, when companies
- 1:54Speaker 4: get big, their quality usually drops. You don't have to
- 1:58Speaker 4: worry about that. Here and here's the other thing. You
- 2:00Speaker 4: can choose between fresh ground or a whole being coffee.
- 2:04Speaker 4: You can also grab the CA cups. That's what I
- 2:06Speaker 4: just brewed a moment ago. You choose, and if you're
- 2:09Speaker 4: interested in mushroom coffee and positive benefits that come with
- 2:13Speaker 4: enjoying that each day, Crockett Coffee is now producing that
- 2:17Speaker 4: as well. They've got dark ROAs mile roast, light roast,
- 2:21Speaker 4: a decaf version and the Mushroom Organic Blenn. You choose
- 2:25Speaker 4: what you like to try first, and a portion of
- 2:28Speaker 4: your purchase goes to support Tunnel to Towers Foundation because
- 2:32Speaker 4: the good people at Krockett Coffee also pledge.
- 2:36Speaker 1: To never forget.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Now you ready to try great coffee, I'm gonna save
- 2:40Speaker 4: you money right now. Go online to Crocketcoffee dot com.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Use my name Ben, and you're gonna get twenty percent
- 2:47Speaker 4: off your first order. That's Crocketcoffee dot Com and my
- 2:51Speaker 4: name Ben is your promo code, and you're gonna get
- 2:53Speaker 4: twenty percent off. You're gonna get a great, great cup
- 2:57Speaker 4: of coffee. Try it right now, Krocket Coffee. Use my
- 3:00Speaker 4: name Ben, and you're gonna get twenty percent off your
- 3:03Speaker 4: first order. It's the forty seven Morning Update and it
- 3:06Speaker 4: starts right.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Now, story number one.
- 3:08Speaker 4: So you're tuning in right now wanting to know what's
- 3:11Speaker 4: going on with a big, beautiful bill. A lot is
- 3:14Speaker 4: changing and it's happening very quickly. I'm going to timestamp
- 3:18Speaker 4: this for you to let you know it's approaching midnight
- 3:21Speaker 4: as we speak right now. When you hear this, depending
- 3:25Speaker 4: on when you download it, it may change drastically from
- 3:28Speaker 4: what I'm telling you now. That's why I'm letting you
- 3:31Speaker 4: know that as I literally just got the phone with
- 3:34Speaker 4: members of Congress to get an update on what they're hearing.
- 3:38Speaker 4: And I'm gonna be honest with you. After talking and
- 3:41Speaker 4: texting with several different people in Congress, many of them
- 3:46Speaker 4: still don't know exactly what this final bill is going
- 3:49Speaker 4: to look like. There is a lot of back and
- 3:51Speaker 4: forth it is taking place right now.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:55Speaker 4: There's also a rumor that at midnight tonight they're up
- 3:59Speaker 4: to sit GOP senators that are holding out on the
- 4:04Speaker 4: Big Beautiful Bill. I talked to another senator who said
- 4:07Speaker 4: it's five different GOP members, but they believe that those
- 4:11Speaker 4: five will come around after they get some concessions that
- 4:14Speaker 4: they need. This is how the sausage is made in Washington, DC.
- 4:19Speaker 4: And yes, all of the people I talked to are
- 4:22Speaker 4: sitting around their offices waiting for what's gonna happen next.
- 4:27Speaker 4: So let's go back to earlier in the day and
- 4:30Speaker 4: I want to explain to you how we got to
- 4:31Speaker 4: the point that we are at right now. Caroline Levitt
- 4:35Speaker 4: taking a lot of heat at the White House Press
- 4:36Speaker 4: briefing today on the Big Beautiful Bill because there are
- 4:40Speaker 4: so many in the Democratic Party and in the mainstream
- 4:43Speaker 4: media that want to destroy this from becoming a reality.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I want you to listen to what she had to
- 4:48Speaker 4: say about this legislation.
- 4:50Speaker 5: You speak on it, can you respond to the CBO
- 4:53Speaker 5: estimates that the Senate would increase the deficite on nearly eight.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Three point three trophy.
- 4:57Speaker 5: This is one of the most fiscally conservative pieces of
- 4:59Speaker 5: legen that has ever made its way through Capitol Hill.
- 5:02Speaker 5: There's two trillion dollars in mandatory savings in this bill,
- 5:06Speaker 5: and not only that, the projected growth that this bill
- 5:09Speaker 5: will bring to our economy. It will be an economic boom.
- 5:12Speaker 5: The Council of Economic Advisors has an analysis that shows
- 5:16Speaker 5: that the bill will generate four point one trillion dollars
- 5:19Speaker 5: in economic growth and it will cut taxes, putting more
- 5:22Speaker 5: money back into the American people's pockets. That's why this
- 5:25Speaker 5: president wants this bill to pass, and I know he's
- 5:27Speaker 5: busy working the phones and doing what he needs to
- 5:29Speaker 5: do today to make it happen. So we'll see you
- 5:31Speaker 5: all later. Thank you, We'll see you in Florida.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Thank you now.
- 5:34Speaker 4: As you heard Caroline say there, we'll see you and
- 5:37Speaker 4: tomorrow in Florida, meaning right now as you're listing this show.
- 5:41Speaker 4: There's also another important part of what she just said.
- 5:44Speaker 4: The President is working the phones and has been working
- 5:47Speaker 4: them from what I've been told all day long and
- 5:50Speaker 4: late into the evening and very well maybe pulling what
- 5:53Speaker 4: you would refer to in college is a good old
- 5:55Speaker 4: all nighter making sure that this gets across the finish line. Now,
- 6:00Speaker 4: there is also other centers that are going on TV
- 6:03Speaker 4: talking about where they believe this is going. Centater turber
- 6:07Speaker 4: Bilt from Alabama, you may know him as the football coach.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Here's what he had to say on Fox Business.
- 6:12Speaker 7: What is your assessment when you look at the whole thing,
- 6:15Speaker 7: what would you have liked to have gotten in that
- 6:16Speaker 7: didn't and what do you think is the best things
- 6:19Speaker 7: in it?
- 6:19Speaker 6: Well, first of all, two thirds of the bill is
- 6:21Speaker 6: the tax cuts, which obviously we've got to get done.
- 6:24Speaker 6: It's necessary. Then one third of the bill is we're
- 6:27Speaker 6: reforming most of the agencies, which is Medicaid, you know,
- 6:32Speaker 6: school loans, all those things that are really costing us
- 6:36Speaker 6: a lot of money. They've right now, we have forty
- 6:39Speaker 6: seven million young Americans that are in debt with student
- 6:44Speaker 6: loans for one point seven trillion dollars. We can't sustain that.
- 6:49Speaker 6: We can't sustain it. So we've done some work on that.
- 6:52Speaker 6: We've done some work on Medicaid. Medicaid is basically reforming,
- 6:56Speaker 6: kicking people off that's not supposed to be on their
- 6:58Speaker 6: illegals and people that should be working. So all this,
- 7:01Speaker 6: most of it is good. You just sometimes you hate
- 7:04Speaker 6: to do things that you know is going to put
- 7:07Speaker 6: people in a situation where they're going to be uncomfortable.
- 7:11Speaker 6: But the end of the day, we all have to
- 7:13Speaker 6: adjust to this because we can't keep spending the way
- 7:15Speaker 6: we're spending right now.
- 7:16Speaker 2: We can't do it.
- 7:17Speaker 4: We can't keep spending the way we're spinning right now.
- 7:20Speaker 4: We just can't keep doing it now. Senator Turberville brought
- 7:23Speaker 4: up an excellent point there as well. Two thirds of
- 7:26Speaker 4: this big, beautiful bill are actually tax cuts and one
- 7:29Speaker 4: third is reforming most of the agencies that is extremely important. Now,
- 7:35Speaker 4: there's also many that are saying the American people actually
- 7:38Speaker 4: don't want this. One of the things that Tom Tillis
- 7:40Speaker 4: has been saying about this bill that actually is not true.
- 7:44Speaker 4: In fact, if you go back and look at what
- 7:46Speaker 4: Donald Trump ran on He ran on the issue of
- 7:50Speaker 4: making the Trump tax cuts permanent. How are we doing it?
- 7:54Speaker 4: It is through the Big Beautiful Bill. So the president
- 7:57Speaker 4: United States of America is burning the mid Oil Center.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Ron Johnson defending the Big Beautiful Bill as well on CNN,
- 8:05Speaker 4: saying this to Jake Tapper.
- 8:08Speaker 8: Billion So Biden deficits were three times larger than pre
- 8:12Speaker 8: pandemic levels of deathsit and spending is just out of control.
- 8:15Speaker 2: So it's easy to be a Democrat.
- 8:17Speaker 8: Spend mortgage a kid's future, never be held accountable by
- 8:20Speaker 8: the media. It's pretty hard what we're trying to do,
- 8:24Speaker 8: and so this may take a little bit more time.
- 8:26Speaker 7: Well, deficit spending is a bipartisan affliction.
- 8:28Speaker 2: You know that better than anyone.
- 8:30Speaker 7: Earlier this month, you were warning about this bill adding
- 8:33Speaker 7: trillions to the national debt. You told ABC News quote,
- 8:36Speaker 7: I'm worried about our kids and grandkids, the fact that
- 8:38Speaker 7: we're mortgaging their future. It's wrong, it's immoral. Is has
- 8:44Speaker 7: your position changed? It's this bill. I mean, this legislation
- 8:47Speaker 7: is still going to add to the deficits.
- 8:49Speaker 8: So Democrats their only solution is increased taxes. We don't
- 8:52Speaker 8: want to do that that harms economic growth. We will
- 8:55Speaker 8: get the revenue you ever look for it. All Democrats
- 8:57Speaker 8: do is spend. By the way they're talking about we're
- 9:00Speaker 8: going to you know, test cuts for millionaires.
- 9:02Speaker 2: No, we're just not going to increase taxes.
- 9:04Speaker 8: They could have done that in the four years when
- 9:06Speaker 8: they were in power. They could have gotten rid of
- 9:08Speaker 8: the Tax Cutting Jobs Act. They could have increased taxes
- 9:11Speaker 8: on every American. That's what we're trying to avoid. So again,
- 9:14Speaker 8: Democrats love to spend.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I'm not saying.
- 9:16Speaker 8: That we don't have Republicans that are a big spender
- 9:18Speaker 8: as well. I've been focusing on spending, spending, spending, trying
- 9:22Speaker 8: to put pressure on the process, and I think right
- 9:23Speaker 8: now the stumbling block is what the Senate bill does.
- 9:27Speaker 8: Even though we actually reduce spending more, we also make
- 9:30Speaker 8: sure that those business tax provisions which will incentivize growth
- 9:34Speaker 8: are permanent.
- 9:35Speaker 2: So that holds a bigger score.
- 9:37Speaker 8: But the difference between the House and Center is about
- 9:39Speaker 8: six hundred and fifty one billion dollars. Rick Scott's amendment,
- 9:42Speaker 8: which is eminently reasonable. It doesn't kick anybody off of Medicaid.
- 9:45Speaker 8: It just limits at some point in time in the
- 9:47Speaker 8: future additional adults who are childless, who are working age,
- 9:54Speaker 8: who could work. It's going to deny them that nine
- 9:57Speaker 8: to one match, which is distorted Medicaid. Jake, for every
- 10:02Speaker 8: dollar the state puts into a to provide health care
- 10:06Speaker 8: for a disabled child, the federal government puts a buck
- 10:08Speaker 8: thirty three. But for every dollar they put in toward
- 10:11Speaker 8: a single childless adult who should be working, we kick
- 10:14Speaker 8: in nine. That has led to all kinds of abuse,
- 10:16Speaker 8: provider taxes, provider fees.
- 10:18Speaker 2: By the way, that's not healthcare.
- 10:20Speaker 8: But you have the federal government's kicking out nine dollars
- 10:22Speaker 8: for every one of the states. That's what we're trying
- 10:24Speaker 8: to address. We're not trying to take Medicaid away from
- 10:26Speaker 8: disabled children. We're trying to stop that scam the states
- 10:30Speaker 8: and providers have been using to draw down one hundreds
- 10:32Speaker 8: of billions of dollars for the federal government that we
- 10:34Speaker 8: can't afford.
- 10:34Speaker 4: So you listen to Ron Johnson there defending the big
- 10:38Speaker 4: beautiful bill. DEM's only solution has increased taxes and saying, quote,
- 10:43Speaker 4: it's easy to be a Democrat. You can also find
- 10:47Speaker 4: it very interesting that Jake Tapper it see it and
- 10:49Speaker 4: now actually cares about government spending, something he didn't care
- 10:53Speaker 4: about under the Biden administration, not one single time, but
- 10:56Speaker 4: all of a sudden, the media now is like, well,
- 10:59Speaker 4: we need to be looking at the deficit. At the
- 11:02Speaker 4: end of the day. Donald Trump promised to make the
- 11:04Speaker 4: tax cuts permanent and to rein in the size of government.
- 11:09Speaker 4: That's clearly what he's advocating for and what he's trying
- 11:12Speaker 4: to do right now. Now, I'll say this for the
- 11:15Speaker 4: five that are apparently holding out at this hour a
- 11:18Speaker 4: little after midnight as I am recording the show, anything
- 11:22Speaker 4: can happen in the next few hours, and I have
- 11:25Speaker 4: a feeling that at the end of the day, Donald
- 11:27Speaker 4: Trump will be working those phones and making sure that
- 11:31Speaker 4: the big, beautiful bill gets across the finish line for
- 11:34Speaker 4: the American people.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Now, story number two.
- 11:36Speaker 4: The media yet again putting ice agents lives at risk,
- 11:41Speaker 4: this time CNN featuring a segment on ice Block. It
- 11:46Speaker 4: is an app that lets users anonymously crowd source ice
- 11:51Speaker 4: agents sightings across the app and send alerts to others
- 11:55Speaker 4: within a five mile radius. Now, the app's creator framed
- 11:59Speaker 4: as a quote harmless early warning system to help people
- 12:03Speaker 4: avoid ice, not to incite violence against the agents. Ice
- 12:08Speaker 4: block enforces constraints, they claim as well, one post every
- 12:13Speaker 4: five minutes, auto deletion after four hours, and explicitly recommends
- 12:17Speaker 4: users not interfere with officers. That's their get out of
- 12:22Speaker 4: jail free card. Apparently, the White House Press Secretary Caroline
- 12:25Speaker 4: Levitt accusing CNN of encouraging violence by publicizing the app,
- 12:30Speaker 4: especially amid a reported five hundred percent surge in assaults
- 12:35Speaker 4: on ICE agents nationwide. The acting ICE Director called CNN's
- 12:39Speaker 4: coverage quote reckless and irresponsible, warning that it paints a
- 12:44Speaker 4: target on federal law enforcement officers. Backs and Tom Homan,
- 12:49Speaker 4: the former ICE director, and the current borders are branded.
- 12:52Speaker 4: The app is simply disgusting, and urge the DOJ to
- 12:56Speaker 4: investigate CNN's role in all of this. I want you
- 13:00Speaker 4: to hear more of what Tom Holman had to say
- 13:03Speaker 4: on Fox News Channel about this.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Well.
- 13:07Speaker 9: This next story is outrageous. A new iPhone app is
- 13:09Speaker 9: alerting people about ICE sightings in the area. As if
- 13:13Speaker 9: that's not bad enough. Seeing in it appears to be
- 13:15Speaker 9: promoting the app, talking to the creator, and doing a
- 13:18Speaker 9: whole story on it. That is not sitting well with
- 13:21Speaker 9: my next guest the borders. Our Tom Holman joins me. Now, Tom,
- 13:26Speaker 9: they've crossed the line here. This is out of control.
- 13:30Speaker 10: I know. It's just simply disgusting, and any network that
- 13:32Speaker 10: covers that is disgusting as well. So I'm hoping DOJ
- 13:35Speaker 10: steps in here and see if they cross that line.
- 13:37Speaker 10: I'm competing federal law enforcement offshoes. Look, Lawrence, you're not
- 13:40Speaker 10: talking about this. Passaulting concise is up over five hundred percent.
- 13:44Speaker 10: Now you've got an app that's going to tell where
- 13:46Speaker 10: ICE operators are going to be. It's only a matter
- 13:49Speaker 10: of time for ICE stages are ambushed by some nut
- 13:51Speaker 10: like we're happening in LA throwing them a top cocktail,
- 13:54Speaker 10: throwing bricks, and these officers. This is just disgusting at
- 13:58Speaker 10: every level. So I hope DOJ dives in this deeply,
- 14:01Speaker 10: because you know, ICE is constraint on public safety threats
- 14:03Speaker 10: and national security threats. This shouldn't be a partisan issue.
- 14:06Speaker 10: There shouldn't be an issue anybody's is against. So they're
- 14:10Speaker 10: already a dangerous job going after the worst of the worst.
- 14:12Speaker 10: These guys are putting their lives on the line every day,
- 14:14Speaker 10: going after the worst and worst international security threats, and
- 14:17Speaker 10: this app makes it that much more dangerous. It's it's
- 14:20Speaker 10: incredible that those who enforced law, all of a sudden,
- 14:23Speaker 10: they are the bad guys you want to break the law,
- 14:24Speaker 10: they're victims. It's disgusting.
- 14:26Speaker 9: Why I was seeing in promote this, Why would they
- 14:28Speaker 9: do a story on this?
- 14:30Speaker 10: I can't figure out. I've been look, I've been doing
- 14:32Speaker 10: this for four decades. I've never seen anything like this
- 14:34Speaker 10: in my life. You know, it's got to be they
- 14:37Speaker 10: hate Trump more than love law enforcement or I can't
- 14:40Speaker 10: figure it out, but something needs to be done. I mean,
- 14:43Speaker 10: you advertise this guy's app National TV Network, They're just
- 14:47Speaker 10: going to bring more followers, sick followers to the app
- 14:50Speaker 10: and use it again, letting the bad guy know Ice
- 14:55Speaker 10: is coming. They're here, here's where they're going next. This
- 14:58Speaker 10: is dangerous for the men and women.
- 15:00Speaker 9: So true, Tom, I want.
- 15:02Speaker 2: To get you.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Tom Homan clearly slamming CNN for promoting the ice tracking
- 15:06Speaker 4: app and now is saying maybe it's time for law enforcement,
- 15:10Speaker 4: the DOJ to step in here and see if they
- 15:12Speaker 4: cross the line. Competing federal law enforcement officers. Yet again
- 15:18Speaker 4: another example of how the left is doing everything they
- 15:21Speaker 4: can to protect illegal immigrants and put American lives at risk.
