- 0:01Speaker 1: Are you going to deploy marines in California.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We'll see what happens. I mean, I think we have
- 0:06Speaker 2: it very well under control. I think it would have
- 0:08Speaker 2: been a very bad situation. It was heading in the
- 0:11Speaker 2: wrong direction. It's now heading in the right direction. And
- 0:14Speaker 2: we hope to have the support of Gavin because Gavin's
- 0:16Speaker 2: the big beneficiary as we straighten out his problems. I mean,
- 0:19Speaker 2: his state is a mess.
- 0:21Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Good Tuesday morning. Welcome, it is the forty seven Morning Update,
- 0:29Speaker 4: and we have one big story for you today. Gavin
- 0:33Speaker 4: Newsom says it's not an insurrection in California, but he
- 0:37Speaker 4: is wanting to sue the President of the United States
- 0:39Speaker 4: of America, suing Trump for what he says is the
- 0:42Speaker 4: legal takeover of the California National Guard. Legal experts say
- 0:47Speaker 4: Gavin Newsom's gonna lose this battle, but it doesn't matter
- 0:51Speaker 4: because he's decided to put politics over public safety. We're
- 0:55Speaker 4: also going to talk about this spreading and is this
- 0:59Speaker 4: organic or is this just another summer of rage being
- 1:03Speaker 4: paid for by the radical left that we saw under
- 1:05Speaker 4: Black Lives Matter and Finally, what is the president saying
- 1:10Speaker 4: in response to all of this? You're gonna hear his
- 1:13Speaker 4: own words. It's the forty seven Morning Update, and it
- 1:16Speaker 4: starts right now.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Anarchy and chaos continuing to erupt in LA and now
- 1:23Speaker 4: coming to a city near you. In fact, it's almost
- 1:27Speaker 4: likely seen this before in the summer of rage with
- 1:30Speaker 4: Black Lives Matter protests that popped up all over the country. Well,
- 1:34Speaker 4: now in LA, they're not going after the actual bad
- 1:38Speaker 4: guys that are attacking law enforcement. No, no, no, they're
- 1:41Speaker 4: now coming after Donald Trump and threatening to sue the governor,
- 1:46Speaker 4: making this his political stand. Let me just remind you
- 1:50Speaker 4: what the same Democrats were saying over the weekend. Elizabeth
- 1:54Speaker 4: Warren was saying it was just, you know, peaceful protests.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Kamala Harris refer to it overwhelmingly peaceful protests. Corey Booker
- 2:03Speaker 4: said it was a peaceful protest again on the Sunday
- 2:06Speaker 4: morning shows, and Gavin Newsom said that the anarchy you're
- 2:10Speaker 4: seeing right now on TV is quote under control. Even
- 2:15Speaker 4: the Los Angeles Police Department line saying it was quote
- 2:19Speaker 4: a weekend you know, without incident quote unquote. So how
- 2:24Speaker 4: did it change? So quickly. We're now California is saying
- 2:28Speaker 4: they're suing Donald Trump and they're angry that Donald Trump
- 2:32Speaker 4: set in the National Guard. Now, I want to play
- 2:34Speaker 4: for you. Donald Trump, in his own words, asked about
- 2:37Speaker 4: two different things, one about setting in the National Guard
- 2:41Speaker 4: and two Gavin Newsom in California threatening to sue Donald Trump.
- 2:46Speaker 4: That's right. They're not going after the rapists or the terrorists.
- 2:50Speaker 4: They're not going after the human smugglers, the sex traffickers.
- 2:53Speaker 4: They're not going after those that are selling FETNL that
- 2:56Speaker 4: is killing more Americans my age than anything else in
- 3:00Speaker 4: this country's history. No, no, no, Instead, they're doing what
- 3:04Speaker 4: democrats do well. They're suing Donald Trump.
- 3:07Speaker 1: When you were talking about unrest in American cities, you said, quote,
- 3:11Speaker 1: we have to go by the laws. We can't call
- 3:13Speaker 1: in the National Guard unless we're requested by a governor.
- 3:16Speaker 1: What change now, why is this situation different to not
- 3:19Speaker 1: consult with governor? Knew some about the Well, the.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Biggest change from that statement is we have an incompetent governor.
- 3:24Speaker 2: So I talked about governors, but I didn't talk about
- 3:27Speaker 2: he's an incompetent governor. Look at the job he's doing
- 3:29Speaker 2: in California. He's destroying one of our great states. And
- 3:33Speaker 2: if I didn't get involved, if we didn't bring the
- 3:35Speaker 2: guard in, and we would bring more in if we
- 3:37Speaker 2: needed it, because we have to make sure there's going
- 3:40Speaker 2: to be law and order. You had a disaster happening,
- 3:44Speaker 2: and they now admit it was a disaster. I watched
- 3:47Speaker 2: the chief yesterday. It was a good man, by the way,
- 3:50Speaker 2: and he said, well, we're lucky we did this, because
- 3:53Speaker 2: they would They were overwhelmed. You saw what was happening,
- 3:56Speaker 2: So we did the right thing. Everybody agrees to that.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But you have a governor who let the city burn
- 4:01Speaker 2: down and didn't want water to be sent down to
- 4:04Speaker 2: im and I sent billions of gallons of water. I
- 4:08Speaker 2: wanted to do it in the first term. We wouldn't
- 4:10Speaker 2: do it over I don't know they have environmental reasons,
- 4:13Speaker 2: but there were no environmental reasons. It's I think it's
- 4:16Speaker 2: just a political philosophy. But it's lucky for the people
- 4:20Speaker 2: in Los Angeles and in California that we did what
- 4:23Speaker 2: we did. We got it just in time. It's still
- 4:26Speaker 2: simmering a little bit. Primary crime is running for governor
- 4:30Speaker 2: because he's done such a bad job. What he's done
- 4:32Speaker 2: to that state is like what Biden did to this country,
- 4:35Speaker 2: and that's pretty bad. It's a wrong philosophy. Thousands, hundreds
- 4:41Speaker 2: of thousands of illegal immigrants, many of them prisoners. They
- 4:45Speaker 2: are taking up your health care, they're taking up your
- 4:47Speaker 2: space and schools, they're taking up your hospital and in
- 4:50Speaker 2: many cases they're criminals, and we have to do something
- 4:53Speaker 2: about it, and we're doing something about it. I want
- 4:56Speaker 2: to thank the incredible patriots of Ice and Tom Holman
- 5:00Speaker 2: who's been incredible, and Christinome likewise incredible the job they're doing.
- 5:06Speaker 2: And it's like an unforced eraror there was no reason
- 5:09Speaker 2: for this. Twenty one million people were allowed into our
- 5:12Speaker 2: country and many of those people were criminals, and it's
- 5:16Speaker 2: a shame. It's a shame, but we're getting them out.
- 5:19Speaker 2: And I will say I think it's a ninety five
- 5:22Speaker 2: to five issue, just like so many other issues, ninety
- 5:25Speaker 2: five to five, and the Democrats lost an election in
- 5:28Speaker 2: a landslide because they're on the wrong side of the issues.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I mean, it's not even conceivable that somebody would do
- 5:36Speaker 2: the kind of things that he did. And then you know,
- 5:38Speaker 2: you talk about projects they want to build a train
- 5:40Speaker 2: going from San Francisco to la and it's costing hundreds
- 5:45Speaker 2: of billions of dollars more than they thought it was
- 5:47Speaker 2: going to cost. It's not even believable to bread and
- 5:50Speaker 2: to people sitting here. Would you believe that a train
- 5:53Speaker 2: it was going to cost X dollars that it might
- 5:56Speaker 2: be one hundred times X would have paid for this
- 5:59Speaker 2: for about fifty million American children. You're right, fifty million
- 6:03Speaker 2: American children. Instead of a three mile train track that
- 6:06Speaker 2: never got built. We could have put Lincoln in judge
- 6:09Speaker 2: with no experience. He would have done a good job.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I guarantee you that, please, Peter.
- 6:18Speaker 5: So it seems like Gavin Newsom likes the attention that
- 6:22Speaker 5: he's getting right now. From I do, it seems like
- 6:24Speaker 5: he does. He If you look at recent history, somebody
- 6:29Speaker 5: who was running for president you who got arrested and
- 6:32Speaker 5: had a mugshot, you could make the argument that politically
- 6:35Speaker 5: that wound up helping you. Are you worried at all
- 6:38Speaker 5: at this moment, but talking about him getting arrested could
- 6:41Speaker 5: be helpful to his political prospects because a lot of
- 6:45Speaker 5: people think he wants to be sitting right where you.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Are, well in my case, it was a witch hunt
- 6:48Speaker 2: and everybody knew it, and I was able to explain
- 6:51Speaker 2: that during the process, otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here
- 6:53Speaker 2: right now, And it was a total witch hunt. Has
- 6:55Speaker 2: proven to be a witch hunt. And you see what's
- 6:57Speaker 2: happened in his case. It really is very obvious to
- 7:00Speaker 2: look at what's happened between the fires. Between it. I
- 7:04Speaker 2: could name ten things right now. We talk about the trains,
- 7:07Speaker 2: we talk about all of the costs in California, you
- 7:11Speaker 2: talk about all of the people that are flowing and
- 7:13Speaker 2: destroying life for everyone else. So no, I don't think
- 7:16Speaker 2: it's going to help them. I think it's actually very
- 7:18Speaker 2: bad for him.
- 7:19Speaker 5: And right around the time that we were walking in here,
- 7:22Speaker 5: the governor and the state attorney general said that they're
- 7:26Speaker 5: going to sue you for sending the National Guard. And
- 7:28Speaker 5: they're saying there's no invasion, there's no rebellion. The president
- 7:31Speaker 5: is trying to manufacture chaos and crisis on the ground
- 7:35Speaker 5: for his own political ends. Federalizing the California National Guard
- 7:39Speaker 5: is an abuse of the president's authority under law.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's interesting, you watched the same clips
- 7:45Speaker 2: as I did, cars burning all over the place, people
- 7:48Speaker 2: riding and by the way we stopped it, we were
- 7:50Speaker 2: able to make it much better, but it still looked
- 7:53Speaker 2: pretty bad. And in watching clips last night, people were saying,
- 7:57Speaker 2: this is really a big problem until we went in.
- 8:00Speaker 2: If we didn't do the job, that place would be
- 8:02Speaker 2: burning down, just like the houses burned down. They were
- 8:05Speaker 2: in big trouble last night, Peter, you know it, and
- 8:07Speaker 2: the night before and the night before that. And I
- 8:10Speaker 2: feel we had no choice. I don't want to see
- 8:13Speaker 2: I don't want to see happen what happened so many
- 8:15Speaker 2: times in this country. I watched Minneapolis burn, I watched
- 8:20Speaker 2: look at what happened in so many different parts of California.
- 8:23Speaker 2: You take a look at what happened in San Diego.
- 8:26Speaker 2: There's so many different places where we let it burn.
- 8:30Speaker 2: We want to be politically correct, We wanted to be nice.
- 8:33Speaker 2: We want to be nice to the criminal, and what
- 8:35Speaker 2: you're doing is destroying the fabric of our life in
- 8:38Speaker 2: this country. Now, we did the right thing. We've been
- 8:41Speaker 2: given credit for by people that I would least suspect why.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I would say that some of the people that came
- 8:47Speaker 2: in and said thank goodness, they said some of them.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Thank God that Trump got involved, and I'm very happy
- 8:53Speaker 2: I got involved, and I think Gavin, in his own way,
- 8:57Speaker 2: is probably happy I got involved.
- 8:58Speaker 5: You go ahead, But what do you make of the
- 9:01Speaker 5: fact that he says, you want a civil war on
- 9:04Speaker 5: the streets of America.
- 9:06Speaker 2: No, that's just the opposite. I don't want a civil war.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Civil war would happen if you left it, if you
- 9:11Speaker 2: left it to people like him. And I liked him,
- 9:13Speaker 2: you know, I always got along with him, never had
- 9:15Speaker 2: a problem with him. But he's grossly incompetent.
- 9:19Speaker 4: One thing's for sure, Donald Trump is not backing down.
- 9:22Speaker 4: He is going to protect American citizens, even in sanctuary cities,
- 9:26Speaker 4: Which brings me the second part of the conversation, what
- 9:29Speaker 4: is going to happen next? It is very clear that
- 9:32Speaker 4: the Democrats and their donors are going to help spread
- 9:38Speaker 4: all of this chaos to many other cities. As I'm
- 9:41Speaker 4: doing the show right now, we are seeing protests pop
- 9:44Speaker 4: up from Florida to Texas and pretty much now everywhere
- 9:48Speaker 4: in between. There is no doubt that the Democratic Party
- 9:53Speaker 4: is behind this, and they're mega donors. This is what
- 9:56Speaker 4: they do. I also want to say this, expect a
- 9:59Speaker 4: lot more of this to happen in the days and
- 10:02Speaker 4: the weeks ahead. Democrats believe that law and orders should
- 10:06Speaker 4: not take place in their sanctuary cities. In fact, they
- 10:09Speaker 4: want this chaos so they can blame it on Donald Trump,
- 10:12Speaker 4: which brings me to Christie no. Christy Nome, the Department
- 10:16Speaker 4: of Homeland Security secretary, came out and had this to
- 10:20Speaker 4: say about what's happening in LA. Listen carefully to the
- 10:25Speaker 4: words she chooses as she's explaining what's happening with the
- 10:29Speaker 4: leaders there.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Yeah, well, absolutely mean that's Sean. Those are the people
- 10:32Speaker 6: we're going after. I mean, those are our targets today
- 10:35Speaker 6: we head over four to five hundred targets we were
- 10:37Speaker 6: going after. There were known members of gangs in LA
- 10:41Speaker 6: that have been victimizing people for years that Gavin Newsom
- 10:45Speaker 6: has done absolutely nothing about.
- 10:47Speaker 2: That.
- 10:47Speaker 6: Mayor Bass has done absolutely nothing about Listen. I served
- 10:50Speaker 6: with her in Congress before she was ever mayor, and
- 10:53Speaker 6: she is a train wreck of a mayor now that
- 10:55Speaker 6: is endorsing these kind of activities, has allowed her city
- 10:59Speaker 6: to be completely devastated with crime, and now she's holding
- 11:02Speaker 6: press conferences talking about the fact that people have the
- 11:05Speaker 6: right to peacefully protest and that they're a city of immigrants. Well,
- 11:09Speaker 6: they're not a city of immigrants, they're a city of
- 11:11Speaker 6: criminals because she has protected them for so many years.
- 11:14Speaker 6: And so we're coming in and doing what the President
- 11:17Speaker 6: has said that he's going to do, and he's going
- 11:19Speaker 6: to allow people to live in a safe community again,
- 11:22Speaker 6: and we're going to use the authority that he has
- 11:24Speaker 6: as president of the United States to conduct these operations.
- 11:28Speaker 6: And the more that people conduct violence against law enforcement officers, boy,
- 11:32Speaker 6: we're going to hit him back, and we're going to
- 11:33Speaker 6: hit him back harder than we ever had before. And
- 11:36Speaker 6: we conducted more operations today than we did the day before,
- 11:39Speaker 6: and tomorrow we're going to double those efforts again. The
- 11:42Speaker 6: more that they protest and commit acts of violence against
- 11:46Speaker 6: law enforcement officers, the harder ice is going to kind
- 11:49Speaker 6: of come after them. Because these people are patriots. These
- 11:52Speaker 6: ice officers are people who are fighting for their country
- 11:55Speaker 6: and I'm so proud of them. They've acted with dignity,
- 11:58Speaker 6: they've acted with grace under stressful situations, and when they've
- 12:02Speaker 6: been disrespected, they've responded appropriately under the law to make
- 12:06Speaker 6: sure that they were treating every single individual the same
- 12:09Speaker 6: and making sure that due process was followed and that
- 12:12Speaker 6: they were doing their jobs. So this is an unfortunate
- 12:16Speaker 6: situation that we see violence and instigators out there, but
- 12:20Speaker 6: the President Trump is really dedicated to bringing peace again.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Christine Noman's right. LA is not a city of immigrants.
- 12:26Speaker 4: They are a city of criminals under the mayor's protection,
- 12:30Speaker 4: and she protected them for so many years that this
- 12:32Speaker 4: anarchy and chaos is now the reality. I will also
- 12:36Speaker 4: say it again and remember this moment. The Democratic Party
- 12:40Speaker 4: is going to do everything they can to turn La
- 12:44Speaker 4: into the test case. They're going to learn from what
- 12:47Speaker 4: they've done, and they're going to move this to other cities.
- 12:51Speaker 4: They're going to act like it's organic. It is pre planned,
- 12:55Speaker 4: well organized, and paid for by the radical left that
- 12:59Speaker 4: cares more or about illegal immigrants than those in this
- 13:03Speaker 4: country that are actually American citizens. And that's exactly who
- 13:08Speaker 4: Donald Trump is trying to protect.
