- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. Y'are listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Here we go today. I think I have something for
- 2:15Speaker 1: a lot of people today, at least I hope I do.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And this is about on your journey, And this is
- 2:22Speaker 1: about something that happens to us all. I mean, what
- 2:27Speaker 1: happens to all of us from time to time when
- 2:32Speaker 1: we get discouraged. What happens to all of us when
- 2:36Speaker 1: we feel like quitting. What happens to all of us
- 2:40Speaker 1: when we have that turn back moment. What happens to
- 2:44Speaker 1: all of us when it don't seem like it's gonna
- 2:48Speaker 1: paying out, because I want you to understand something that everyone,
- 2:53Speaker 1: every single living soul, has those thoughts about something at
- 2:59Speaker 1: some point in their life. I mean, you know, look,
- 3:03Speaker 1: I've oftentimes have been discouraged about things not happening as
- 3:07Speaker 1: fast as I like them. All things don't paying out
- 3:12Speaker 1: the way I would like for them to have payed out.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I mean, there's so many ways to get discouraged. But
- 3:20Speaker 1: what my encouragement to you is when discouragement comes is
- 3:27Speaker 1: understand this. It is a part of the growth process.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It is a test. It is a test of your faith.
- 3:41Speaker 1: How bad you wanted do you really believe? That's all
- 3:46Speaker 1: faith is. It's simply, and I've said this how many times.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So when discouragement comes, setbacks comes, it is a test
- 3:59Speaker 1: of your faith. Eight at least it's been that way
- 4:01Speaker 1: for me. Now other people can explain it another way.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I'm not other people. I can only give it to
- 4:07Speaker 1: you the way it's come to me and throughout my life,
- 4:10Speaker 1: and man o man o man Discouragement sometimes it's tough
- 4:14Speaker 1: to deal with because it seems at times when you
- 4:20Speaker 1: are discouraged that is so absolute that this means the end,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and if you allow it to set in, it can
- 4:31Speaker 1: be just that the end of you. When Milly Milly,
- 4:36Speaker 1: it was a test here, the one that I hate
- 4:38Speaker 1: to hear. Well, if it, if it's God's will, excuse me.
- 4:44Speaker 1: If it's God's will that you fail. If it's God's
- 4:48Speaker 1: will that you're not successful. If it's God's will that
- 4:54Speaker 1: you lay down and give up, it's God's will that
- 4:58Speaker 1: you allow yourself to a mountain not to not reach
- 5:02Speaker 1: your potential. That's God's will. That's not the God I know.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's not the God I served. That's not the God
- 5:11Speaker 1: I've read about. That's not the God I believe in.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I just my mother always taught me something
- 5:18Speaker 1: that he didn't bring me this far to leave me.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I just don't believe that, not for a second. Try
- 5:27Speaker 1: to look at it if you can as a test
- 5:29Speaker 1: of your faith, and you merely have to pass the test.
- 5:34Speaker 1: It could be for a day, a half a day,
- 5:37Speaker 1: a few hours, a week, a few weeks, it don't matter.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Don't nobody know how long the test period is. Your
- 5:43Speaker 1: job is to keep the faith and keep moving. Keep
- 5:47Speaker 1: the faith and keep moving, keep working, keep believing, keep
- 5:53Speaker 1: hope alive. That's your job. If you do that, that's
- 5:57Speaker 1: how you pass the test. It could be over tomorrow,
- 6:01Speaker 1: it could be over in two weeks, it could be
- 6:02Speaker 1: over in a month. You don't know. But all you
- 6:05Speaker 1: got to do is wake up and keep the faith
- 6:08Speaker 1: and fight the discouraging feelings. And how do you do that? Steve?
- 6:11Speaker 1: Now here we go. This is the part I know
- 6:13Speaker 1: about for show because how many times I've had to
- 6:17Speaker 1: fight off discouragement in order to get to where God
- 6:21Speaker 1: wanted me to be. What do you do when you
- 6:25Speaker 1: become discouraged? Well, when I get discouraged about a task,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I think about the outcome. Man, what would it be
- 6:34Speaker 1: like if I were to complete the task? What would
- 6:37Speaker 1: it be like? Man? What would the outcome be for me?
- 6:41Speaker 1: If I hung on in there? If I didn't give up,
- 6:44Speaker 1: If I if I if I imagine, I imagine if
- 6:49Speaker 1: I don't quit. I imagine if I don't give up,
- 6:53Speaker 1: what would it be like? Man? Suppose everything I'm hoping
- 6:58Speaker 1: for comes true. But if I don't quit and give up,
- 7:01Speaker 1: that might just be the case. I start talking to
- 7:05Speaker 1: myself like that, I think of what the upside is
- 7:10Speaker 1: what's the upside to stay in with it? You see,
- 7:13Speaker 1: all this is the same thing. I'm just giving you
- 7:15Speaker 1: different ways to look at it. I'm saying the exact
- 7:18Speaker 1: same thing over and over. But I'm just trying to
- 7:20Speaker 1: find the switch that connects in your mind where you
- 7:23Speaker 1: can say, Okay, man, I'm gonna hang in there. Because
- 7:27Speaker 1: if you think of the outcome, and the outcome is
- 7:29Speaker 1: appealing to you, if you imagine what it would be
- 7:32Speaker 1: like if you don't give up, or you don't quit,
- 7:35Speaker 1: if you if you think only of what the upside
- 7:39Speaker 1: is to stay in with it, And then I I go,
- 7:43Speaker 1: where can this lead to? If I stay with it, man,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and the outcome comes true? What else could that lead
- 7:51Speaker 1: me to? Because I mean, there's always more to it,
- 7:55Speaker 1: So what where else could this lead me to? What
- 7:59Speaker 1: are the possibilities? Man? What are the limitless possibilities? What
- 8:05Speaker 1: could God possibly have in store for me? If I
- 8:08Speaker 1: just hang in there, if I passed this test of faith,
- 8:12Speaker 1: if I just passed this test, Now it ain't gonna
- 8:15Speaker 1: be the only one, but you gotta get past this one. No,
- 8:18Speaker 1: then you're gonna hear the smooth plane. Then it's gonna
- 8:20Speaker 1: be another one, It's gonna be another one. Life ain't
- 8:24Speaker 1: nothing but a series of tests, man. But you gain
- 8:27Speaker 1: experience and knowledge as you go through life, and it
- 8:30Speaker 1: helps you with the next test. You get better at testing,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you get better at testing. What's your true destiny? Think
- 8:40Speaker 1: about that when you think about giving up. Don't you
- 8:44Speaker 1: want to see what that is? Don't you want to
- 8:47Speaker 1: see what God really got for you? What does God
- 8:50Speaker 1: really have in store for you? If you just passed
- 8:53Speaker 1: the test, if you just hanging there, man, and don't
- 8:56Speaker 1: let the devil fool you, and don't let that other
- 8:59Speaker 1: force make you think that it's over, that your time
- 9:02Speaker 1: has come. That is not his will. God don't deal
- 9:05Speaker 1: in negativity, man. See Bishop Omer taught me something. The
- 9:10Speaker 1: way you know that something has God's voice in it,
- 9:13Speaker 1: It has no sin in it. Quitting, giving up, laying down,
- 9:18Speaker 1: falling out for the count, letting go, losing your faith.
- 9:22Speaker 1: That ain't got nothing do with God. Man. When you're
- 9:26Speaker 1: thinking about giving up, when you discourage, think of the outcome.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Imagine what it would be like if you don't quit,
- 9:34Speaker 1: if you don't give up, what's the upside to stay
- 9:37Speaker 1: in with it? Where can this all lead to? What?
- 9:40Speaker 1: What can this get you too? If if you do
- 9:43Speaker 1: this and you get to where you think you want
- 9:45Speaker 1: to be, Oh my God, what's after that? What are
- 9:49Speaker 1: the limitless and endless possibilities of holding onto your faith?
- 9:55Speaker 1: What could really be out there for me? Man? If
- 9:58Speaker 1: I just passed this test, you to talk yourself into
- 10:01Speaker 1: hanging in there. And sometimes it ain't nobody talking to
- 10:05Speaker 1: you about hanging in there but you. But that's good
- 10:08Speaker 1: enough because God has a blessing for you. God's got
- 10:12Speaker 1: a blessing with your name on it. God has packages
- 10:17Speaker 1: bundled up with your name on it. He got blessings
- 10:21Speaker 1: just in boxes with your name on it. Man, I
- 10:24Speaker 1: want all the mind shipped. I'll be on Faith Street
- 10:29Speaker 1: waiting there to receive. I just I'm just believing he's
- 10:33Speaker 1: shipping stuff. But if you keep moving from the address
- 10:37Speaker 1: of Faith, if you keep getting off Faith Street, why
- 10:40Speaker 1: you want neat packages to go? They got your name
- 10:43Speaker 1: on it and it's based on your faith. But if
- 10:46Speaker 1: you keep moving on Doubt Avenue and it ain't no
- 10:48Speaker 1: Way Boulevard and the patrig get delivered only the Faith Street,
- 10:52Speaker 1: what you keep moving on Faith Street for? Come on, man,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you can't give up. You can't give up. You're listening
- 10:58Speaker 1: Steve Show, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, all the
- 11:06Speaker 1: people all around the world. It gives me nothing but
- 11:09Speaker 1: other joy to make this announcement on a daily basis
- 11:13Speaker 1: that you, my friends, please know, are listening to the
- 11:17Speaker 1: greatest morning show in the land. It is the Steve
- 11:20Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. It is comprised of several components. Oh
- 11:24Speaker 1: it is not I. Oh it is not I. But
- 11:28Speaker 1: it's because of a unit of capable moving parts, talking parts,
- 11:36Speaker 1: funny parts, serious parts, and one boosie part. Ladies and
- 11:44Speaker 1: good morning surely Strawbill, Hello, Steve. Hello, Hello, Sha wonderful,
- 11:52Speaker 1: thank you for having Also, we have a controlling element
- 11:57Speaker 1: to the show. Good morning, call h whatever, good morning.
- 12:04Speaker 1: We have an element that provides outbursts. Good morning, Junior Morning,
- 12:10Speaker 1: everybody Morning on. We have a new part that is
- 12:15Speaker 1: nearly destroying the friendships formed on this show over years.
- 12:22Speaker 1: He is from another planet, another station, another show. And last,
- 12:36Speaker 1: but certainly not least, one of the most major parts
- 12:39Speaker 1: of this is there is someone on this show who
- 12:42Speaker 1: has dedicated his entire life to stupid it ignorance. In
- 12:52Speaker 1: the words of my uncle Tomfoolery, ladies and gentlemen, the
- 12:59Speaker 1: nephew you yea top pupp it baby Bundy moaning, was
- 13:08Speaker 1: can I just say one thing? Can I just say
- 13:10Speaker 1: one thing? M shouts out to my girl tippingy Hattus
- 13:14Speaker 1: who did it on Saturday? Oh my history? Yes, yes, yeah, yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 1: go ahead, love her looking look good? That's right, yes, yeh.
- 13:27Speaker 1: From sleeping in your car to hops and Saturday night
- 13:30Speaker 1: last that's god. That's yeah, all of that. Yeah, so proud. Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I didn't get a chance to see it, but I
- 13:42Speaker 1: heard it was. That was really good. We got little
- 13:45Speaker 1: parts of her monologue. We're gonna showcase that a little
- 13:48Speaker 1: later on this morning about nine eastern something. You want
- 13:51Speaker 1: to go back to black women? I mean, hey, the
- 13:55Speaker 1: way she was looking at thinking about maybe you know
- 13:58Speaker 1: black women ain't that bad? Did man give him some
- 14:08Speaker 1: Eminem's right now? My back out? Yeah over there, I'm
- 14:18Speaker 1: coming bad, black lady, hard to go back? Oh yes,
- 14:35Speaker 1: all right. If this isn't funny enough, it is time
- 14:37Speaker 1: for something funny coming up, and we'll be back at
- 14:40Speaker 1: thirty two after the hour. You're listening to the Steve
- 14:44Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, it is time for something funny. Guys.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I know you guys had a lot to do and
- 14:51Speaker 1: a lot to talk about from this past weekend. Yeah, nephew,
- 14:56Speaker 1: you were in your play. Yes, my to get a
- 15:00Speaker 1: big shout out of my boy. Keen him a car there,
- 15:02Speaker 1: he's a two yeah, two terms. Him and his wife
- 15:07Speaker 1: came to see me and Jackson Bille floor to duvall.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You know, he's the wide receive a coach for Jackson
- 15:12Speaker 1: Bille jaguas so big coming and hanging out with your boy.
- 15:15Speaker 1: And then I went to my off with him. What
- 15:18Speaker 1: you did now, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he got some sticks.
- 15:21Speaker 1: He can go. Yes, she can't. Lord, you ain't bad yourself,
- 15:27Speaker 1: You ain't bad you out there? I scrambled golf ready
- 15:31Speaker 1: off the tea box. But after that I turned into
- 15:34Speaker 1: a little bit of a player. I played in Miami
- 15:36Speaker 1: though lost thirty six balls are throwing him just in
- 15:49Speaker 1: the one. You don't understand what the cams and I
- 15:55Speaker 1: helped him, helped him straighten out what he was doing
- 15:57Speaker 1: wrong because he had the problem that I used to have.
- 16:00Speaker 1: And I mean he just comes over the top of
- 16:02Speaker 1: the ball like like most amateurs, a lot of us coming.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I still come over the top of the ball occasion
- 16:09Speaker 1: still do well, you gotta swing in out. He swings
- 16:15Speaker 1: out in but severely and at a high speed. So
- 16:21Speaker 1: what that does is just coming golf ball curves and
- 16:25Speaker 1: and he's already left handed, so anybody to your right
- 16:30Speaker 1: is in danger. But come on, isn't he right there?
- 16:36Speaker 1: Like eye level to the ball? Come on this way,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I love you, eye level to the ball. All this
- 16:58Speaker 1: explanation for he wasn't going for it right, So that's it,
- 17:10Speaker 1: that's Tommy's whole bro Well, thanks for clearing that up. E. Secondly,
- 17:16Speaker 1: he won't take a lesson from just go out there
- 17:23Speaker 1: and play that he could fix it. Yeah, golf and
- 17:27Speaker 1: requires instruction. It is not a game where you go
- 17:30Speaker 1: out there and you and you can just play this game.
- 17:33Speaker 1: People don't think off is a game. It really is
- 17:35Speaker 1: a game. It's a mind game. It's a swing game.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's a platting game, drive game. And people who don't
- 17:41Speaker 1: play it's just people like they're hitting the balls caddy.
- 17:45Speaker 1: So I really know the game, but I don't like golf.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I would never go back out there again because you
- 17:50Speaker 1: because that caddy a long time make extra money, So
- 17:54Speaker 1: I know the game. But I don't like it at
- 17:56Speaker 1: all because of Caddy. But he was holding the way
- 18:00Speaker 1: man sticks contradiction. But that's a team. Here's the thing.
- 18:27Speaker 1: This may not be interesting to a lot of people,
- 18:29Speaker 1: but golf is a game like this. If you play
- 18:32Speaker 1: a round of golf with a guy, you can know
- 18:35Speaker 1: a lot about a man sitting on a car with
- 18:39Speaker 1: him four and half hours playing around of golf. And
- 18:43Speaker 1: here's the reason why. It teaches you how he handles setbacks,
- 18:48Speaker 1: how he handles uh catastrophe, how he handles doing well,
- 18:54Speaker 1: if he's fair, if he cheats, Because all of it
- 18:57Speaker 1: comes out in golf the game of life. Oh surely,
- 19:05Speaker 1: if you're a good sport, you'll find out about it.
- 19:07Speaker 1: If you cheat, will find out about it. If you're
- 19:10Speaker 1: a sore loser, if you don't recover from mishaps, anything.
- 19:15Speaker 1: It's how your attitude is. And it's very very reflective
- 19:19Speaker 1: of how I live my life the way I play golf.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. When I go out with
- 19:26Speaker 1: my guys, I can't play like them. So they've betting
- 19:30Speaker 1: five hundred, six hundred dollars a whole man, They're serious.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'm just the guy that hold the money. They for
- 19:36Speaker 1: real life. They just I got your money. Yeah, that's
- 19:45Speaker 1: an expensive sports sport. Yeah, especially if you try to
- 19:50Speaker 1: play it on the high level. You know, if you're
- 19:51Speaker 1: out there with the really really nice courses, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I mean you go play around the golf is nothing
- 19:58Speaker 1: for it to cost to six nothing easy? It's golf course?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Is that's dollars to play? Wow? Why in the hut that?
- 20:16Speaker 1: Let me just tell you this, that guy in the
- 20:18Speaker 1: White House, that's some great car course. That's what he needs.
- 20:24Speaker 1: He makes sure you know you know that too when
- 20:26Speaker 1: he travels the world. But I want you to know something.
- 20:30Speaker 1: They're not his. That's the other thing. Hens out his name.
- 20:36Speaker 1: They're not his. Oh but in New York we played
- 20:42Speaker 1: at his course in a tournament, didn't. You're talking about
- 20:46Speaker 1: over in New Jersey Trump National. I mean they're all
- 20:50Speaker 1: named Trump, the woman West part. He has something to
- 20:53Speaker 1: do with them, But they're not just his per se.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It's a lot of other people's money that made those
- 20:57Speaker 1: golf course. And he gets money from him. Though, Can
- 21:00Speaker 1: he plays because that never him talking about his game
- 21:05Speaker 1: well enough he should be able to No, I mean
- 21:09Speaker 1: I've ever seen this golf for seventy years old. Man,
- 21:13Speaker 1: Oh dude, got a little stroke oding mm hmm, okay,
- 21:17Speaker 1: what did Kim John Un call him? Lunatic o man?
- 21:22Speaker 1: Old man? The war of words between those two, I
- 21:30Speaker 1: got a lot of him. I know he's going to
- 21:36Speaker 1: get us off the air. Keep what you know? He
- 21:39Speaker 1: going he going off. Alright, it's Monday. That means Reverend
- 21:48Speaker 1: Motown Take and def Jam are in the building with
- 21:50Speaker 1: church complaints. Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 21:55Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up at the top of the hour
- 21:58Speaker 1: MS and will update us with today's now national news
- 22:00Speaker 1: and including the weekend box office numbers. But first, yes,
- 22:04Speaker 1: it is Monday, and so it is time for Reverend
- 22:07Speaker 1: Motown and Dick in death Jam with today's church complaints. Yesterday,
- 22:17Speaker 1: let me clear your throat, Let me clear my My
- 22:27Speaker 1: nephew was over over day and all played a rep
- 22:32Speaker 1: recording yes that I found fascinating and I thought I'd
- 22:37Speaker 1: implement that into my sermon. Let me clear my thoat
- 22:46Speaker 1: all right now because you need to hear this. And
- 22:51Speaker 1: these is the most ungrateful Starncenarian church members, church members
- 23:06Speaker 1: I've ever seen. Ain't grateful about nothing. These his church
- 23:14Speaker 1: complete on Monday. What is rule? First of all, I
- 23:22Speaker 1: get money pasted it um we hear our brother democrats
- 23:25Speaker 1: and booteau Jr. Has just received a partial scholarship to
- 23:32Speaker 1: U n l V for basket weaving. But he needs
- 23:36Speaker 1: he needs help with his books. The church has voted
- 23:40Speaker 1: and don't want to give him the money because his
- 23:42Speaker 1: mama hasn't paid her ties in three years. But the
- 23:46Speaker 1: last call would be up to you. But the boy
- 23:49Speaker 1: needs books to go to U n l V for
- 23:51Speaker 1: basket weaving. He's the best basket weaver from what we understand.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I'm not really sure. Did you all providing us with
- 24:02Speaker 1: the right information, Deacon just a bit? But don't nobody
- 24:10Speaker 1: go to you and l V for basket weaving? Well,
- 24:14Speaker 1: that's what they say. He's studying where he has got
- 24:19Speaker 1: to be studying something else? Are you talking about the markets?
- 24:25Speaker 1: Democt selling Jim oh demke selling. Yes, that's what. Oh,
- 24:36Speaker 1: that's oh that boy. Oh he's not going to u
- 24:41Speaker 1: n LV for basket weaven that's a mistake. That's a front.
- 24:45Speaker 1: He's going down there to help us out with the
- 24:47Speaker 1: building fund. The boys are extremely good gambler and we
- 24:53Speaker 1: wanted to raise money to send him to Vegas because
- 24:57Speaker 1: the church is gonna get aided percent of all he's winning. Yeah, death,
- 25:04Speaker 1: what that you don't worry about that? Or basket we
- 25:06Speaker 1: even coat. That ain't what that is. So he's not
- 25:09Speaker 1: going that's a camouflage. But that ain't a camouflage. That's
- 25:15Speaker 1: that's something else. Let's just say that's a snow front.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Un move on to the sister. Sister. Sister kaya Jalavad
- 25:36Speaker 1: has reddicated her life and left the life of stripping.
- 25:41Speaker 1: She is now in counseling. But the problem path he
- 25:44Speaker 1: is when she catches the hole, it goes and shouts.
- 25:48Speaker 1: On Sunday, uh, her old stripper routine comes out in
- 25:53Speaker 1: the sanctuary once again, let's move on from that one.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Who why, Well, she's feeling the spirit, but during the
- 26:05Speaker 1: strip of routine at the same time, it's gonna have
- 26:08Speaker 1: to You're gonna have to stop that from happening. The
- 26:12Speaker 1: kids are watching. I told her, or you know, meeting
- 26:17Speaker 1: in my study or that was in your study. You
- 26:24Speaker 1: know by y'all know. So we had what the dog cloud,
- 26:31Speaker 1: the door was open. We had brother democratle So you
- 26:38Speaker 1: didn't wrote the seventeen year old boy in this well,
- 26:41Speaker 1: he gotta know what's going on downe in Vegas. Who
- 26:45Speaker 1: Ki is just coming as she is. And so we're
- 26:52Speaker 1: gonna leave that alone because sister Kayeta in case she backslide,
- 26:57Speaker 1: it's gonna go down there with democratlet and then we
- 27:00Speaker 1: really get this building built, all right. So we got
- 27:06Speaker 1: a strip and the gambler going the vega. That sounds
- 27:09Speaker 1: like to be on the church for the log, all right?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Moving along, Brother wooded one leg, Williams is asking for
- 27:22Speaker 1: a loan to get rid of to get rid of
- 27:25Speaker 1: his wooden leg and exchange it for a titanium leg.
- 27:29Speaker 1: He has a woodpecker in his backyard that keeps chasing
- 27:32Speaker 1: him around the house kicking on the leg. And you're
- 27:37Speaker 1: gonna have to do We want to help him get
- 27:39Speaker 1: rid of the wooden leg and get a titanium when
- 27:42Speaker 1: he does not have enough money for that, but the
- 27:44Speaker 1: woodpecker keeps chasing him around the house. Well, I'll tell
- 27:48Speaker 1: you one thing about this church, the lack of the
- 27:50Speaker 1: limit to the monophores we have. Instead of trying to
- 27:55Speaker 1: exchange and get rid of that wooden leg for titanium,
- 27:59Speaker 1: we need to and somebody over there getting rid of
- 28:01Speaker 1: the woodpeckle because we ain't got your money from the leg. Now,
- 28:08Speaker 1: all right, that's all we're gonna say about that. It's
- 28:13Speaker 1: easy to get rid of the woodpeckle than it is
- 28:15Speaker 1: to get get get the new leg. All right, we're
- 28:20Speaker 1: not buying legs on here. We how money is for
- 28:23Speaker 1: the building for right, We're not buying the leg getting him.
- 28:29Speaker 1: We're building the church, not for the place. How much
- 28:33Speaker 1: of them tum leg be the Titanos over five? She
- 28:39Speaker 1: like that. We can get a new stained glass cross
- 28:45Speaker 1: over the cho before we put some money on the
- 28:49Speaker 1: leg and wear past. See his problem is he keeps
- 28:53Speaker 1: wearing shots and lo and told him. Don't nobody want
- 28:58Speaker 1: to see that? Damn leg mhm. Put some prays on
- 29:02Speaker 1: and the woodpecker won't know he down. So you want
- 29:06Speaker 1: us to kill the woodpacker? That not? That's gonna bring
- 29:08Speaker 1: Peter out, ain't it? If we get shooting at the woodpecker,
- 29:12Speaker 1: who is Peter? You? Yeah? Tell then when they're saying
- 29:18Speaker 1: for us ter share people for the ethical treatment of animals, Damn,
- 29:22Speaker 1: that's what does Peter have to do with this? You're
- 29:28Speaker 1: not supposed to just kill a bird like that, especially
- 29:31Speaker 1: a woodpecker. They're almost extinct. You don't want to do that.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Too deep for you, pastor understand? Yes, Peter Ben did
- 29:44Speaker 1: Peter in the Bible? Not that Peter. Now who you
- 29:53Speaker 1: too deep for him? Don't anybody pass him? Moving a
- 29:56Speaker 1: now real, real quickly. Jesus just stayed up on that wall. Yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: you take your out, I would claim me. Ma Clita's Votin.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Riley wants us to come to the next rally and
- 30:12Speaker 1: save souls. Uh, he says, with hoods on the course.
- 30:16Speaker 1: He's asking that you and two people from your flock
- 30:19Speaker 1: come pray for them. Let me, we're not going down there.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Donald Trump the only one thinking good people on both
- 30:24Speaker 1: shows coming up in the top of the hour. O. J.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Simpson permanently banned from Los Angas Las Vegas hotel and
- 30:35Speaker 1: understand has our national news. But we'll be back. I
- 30:39Speaker 1: told you you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 30:47Speaker 1: O J. Simpson, You guys hear about this story. Jeez? Yeah.
- 30:51Speaker 1: O J. Simpson was allegedly drunk and unruly. I said allegedly.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I did say, allegedly drunken unruly at the Cosmopolitan Hotel
- 31:00Speaker 1: in Las Vegas. This is according to hotel staffer staffers.
- 31:03Speaker 1: He was drunk, got disruptive at the Click bar, He
- 31:07Speaker 1: got mad at the staff and glasses were broken at
- 31:10Speaker 1: the bar. Security showed up and removed o J from
- 31:14Speaker 1: the hotel, and while he was nice to the guards,
- 31:20Speaker 1: o J was permanently banned from the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Nothing
- 31:24Speaker 1: happened at the Cosmo. And if the legitimate media would
- 31:28Speaker 1: pay any attention to take any time to double check
- 31:31Speaker 1: any stories instead of running with these stories by the
- 31:35Speaker 1: by the tabloid to the station's it's complete lined. He
- 31:38Speaker 1: just totally lied to everybody. Your thought, Shirley, in the
- 31:42Speaker 1: words of your mama, Yeah, go sit down somewhere. Everyone
- 31:46Speaker 1: has seen everyone has seen you. And that's his problem, man.
- 31:50Speaker 1: But you know what his roots problem is. He still
- 31:53Speaker 1: thinks he's the juice. But why can't he just go
- 32:05Speaker 1: cannot be Why don't he just drink oh J juice?
- 32:11Speaker 1: He was mad, he was drinking valking orange juice. They
- 32:14Speaker 1: ran out of orange juice. All in his feelings, right,
- 32:20Speaker 1: that's one guy said, Well he just got mad. At
- 32:22Speaker 1: least he didn't kill anybody. Come on, like, what you
- 32:27Speaker 1: know how to juice. It don't go his way. Yeah, Oh,
- 32:36Speaker 1: to go somewhere and sit down. Man, let me tell
- 32:41Speaker 1: you something. When you on parole, that's a very delicate
- 32:45Speaker 1: time for you because you can violate probation for a
- 32:49Speaker 1: number of reasons. Are you supposed to be drinking? No?
- 32:53Speaker 1: Not drunking? No? No. If you get arrested, they just
- 32:59Speaker 1: go sit you down, you could be violation. Is that
- 33:03Speaker 1: a violation? Yeah, if you get drunk and disorderly and
- 33:07Speaker 1: the police have to come, that's a violation right there.
- 33:09Speaker 1: They violate you for man. You can't do anything. You
- 33:12Speaker 1: can't be in the presence of other criminals. You can't
- 33:15Speaker 1: be in any criminal activity involvement in any way exactly.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I want a video. This is too much though, Really,
- 33:34Speaker 1: this is really too much right here. I mean to
- 33:43Speaker 1: just is that asking too much, though, Steve for him
- 33:46Speaker 1: to just sit down. I'm telling you, man, you know what, Man,
- 33:50Speaker 1: you wouldn't normally regular people. You don't have to tell
- 33:54Speaker 1: this to right, Seriously, man, we have a part of
- 34:00Speaker 1: us that go Okay, he still thinks in his mind
- 34:05Speaker 1: that there's a level of people who still admire him,
- 34:08Speaker 1: because you know, there's some people asking for his autograph
- 34:11Speaker 1: because they just want to say I got O J's autograph.
- 34:13Speaker 1: He thinks that mean they like him, and he stuck on,
- 34:19Speaker 1: I'm the juice. They love me, and he wants them
- 34:23Speaker 1: to love them back. It's never gonna be the same
- 34:25Speaker 1: for him, never ever. I found a video. We gotta
- 34:30Speaker 1: play it the audio. No, he got a video talking
- 34:38Speaker 1: to TMZ. You gotta hit wow. Okay, we're gonna see
- 34:42Speaker 1: if we can play that. Next course, Colin has to
- 34:45Speaker 1: screen it first. All right, listen, come on, let's go
- 34:54Speaker 1: to miss and Steve, Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado,
- 34:58Speaker 1: our voice of reason and tell it agents and facts,
- 35:01Speaker 1: our very own MS and trip. Thanks Steve, Thanks you
- 35:06Speaker 1: to be such an entryw Okay, thanks very much, Stephen, Shirley, Carla,
- 35:09Speaker 1: Tommy Junior, everybody out there. J Anthony Brown, this is
- 35:11Speaker 1: a trip with the News. President Trump was in the
- 35:13Speaker 1: Philippines yesterday, closing out his five country tour of Asia
- 35:16Speaker 1: and hannoy on Saturday with other world leaders, Trump asked
- 35:20Speaker 1: if he pin Russia's Vladimir Putin down about meddling in
- 35:23Speaker 1: the last election, and the President's answer was pretty much
- 35:26Speaker 1: all over the place. What I said there's that. I
- 35:27Speaker 1: believe he believes that, and that's very important for somebody
- 35:30Speaker 1: to believe. I believe that he feels that he and
- 35:32Speaker 1: Russia did not meddle in the election. As to whether
- 35:35Speaker 1: I believe it or not, I believe in our intelligence agents, well,
- 35:39Speaker 1: our intelligence agencies say Russia absolutely did meddle in our election.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Trump has come under a lot of criticism for his
- 35:45Speaker 1: really soft handling of the situation. He did say they
- 35:48Speaker 1: talked to Putin about the meddling privately, but Putin says
- 35:51Speaker 1: they didn't talk about that in truth Trump form, though,
- 35:54Speaker 1: the presidents sought to push the blame onto the Obama
- 35:56Speaker 1: administration and ought to former Intelligence Director James Clapper, who
- 35:59Speaker 1: answered his White House critic on CNN's State of the Union,
- 36:03Speaker 1: is committed to undermining our system, our democracy, in our
- 36:06Speaker 1: in our whole process, and and to to try to
- 36:10Speaker 1: paint it in any other, uh, any other way, is
- 36:14Speaker 1: I think astounding and in fact poses apparel of this country.
- 36:19Speaker 1: In Alabama, Republican U S. Senate Canady Judge Roy Moore
- 36:22Speaker 1: continues to deny allegations of sexual misconduct with miners decades ago.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Roy Moore accused of inappropriately touching a fortune year old
- 36:29Speaker 1: girl at his home in the nineteen seventies while he
- 36:32Speaker 1: was an assistant district attorney. And while Moore is refused
- 36:35Speaker 1: to leave the race, the reaction to many in the
- 36:37Speaker 1: two of many of his party to the allegations is
- 36:40Speaker 1: that if they are true, that he should quit. However,
- 36:41Speaker 1: folks in Alabama his supporters say, well, even if it
- 36:45Speaker 1: is some of them actually saying this, that even if
- 36:46Speaker 1: it is, they're still going to vote for him. Roy
- 36:49Speaker 1: Moore now says he's suing the newspaper that brought the
- 36:50Speaker 1: story to light. In Texas yesterday were surpers at the
- 36:53Speaker 1: First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs held their first Sunday
- 36:56Speaker 1: services the last week's mass killings. Uh those as had
- 37:00Speaker 1: services under a large white tent on a nearby baseball field.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Tops of the box office this weekend, of the second
- 37:05Speaker 1: week in a row which has made more than two
- 37:07Speaker 1: hundred million dollars worldwide was Thor Ragnarok number two, Daddy's
- 37:11Speaker 1: Home number two, and at number three, a remake of
- 37:14Speaker 1: Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. There is something
- 37:18Speaker 1: about that tangle of strangers pressed together for days with
- 37:21Speaker 1: nothing in coming, but they need to go from one
- 37:24Speaker 1: place to another and never see each other again. Yeah,
- 37:30Speaker 1: it's all about murder. You get the Butterfly. Twenty minutes
- 37:33Speaker 1: after the hour, stay tuned to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:36Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 37:39Speaker 1: Steven's time introduced Jay and uh and I'm leaving the
- 37:43Speaker 1: room today because no, no, no, I'm not gonna do that.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. Jay, do you know the butter plast
- 37:52Speaker 1: night Nick, because what's very good? I love it. I
- 37:58Speaker 1: love the good morning everyone. Stephen Tommy Star on the

- 38:11Speaker 1: go fund me account, I have raised three thousand dollars
- 38:14Speaker 1: and I'm most everybody's segment. Everybody, this is I'm not
- 38:23Speaker 1: begging for money. I'm not. I'm it. You could have
- 38:27Speaker 1: fixed this about yourself. You could have fixed all of
- 38:29Speaker 1: it about yourself. How do you have fun to do?
- 38:32Speaker 1: Making dollars? How much you need? How much did you need?
- 38:35Speaker 1: I needed six thousand dollars in total, but I asked
- 38:37Speaker 1: him to come out. Yeah that really, I really need
- 38:42Speaker 1: to get the word out. Don't do that. I don't
- 38:43Speaker 1: have to have all the little instrumentals. Don't. So I'm
- 38:47Speaker 1: saying this to think about it. If I need six thousand,
- 38:51Speaker 1: five hundred, you keep doing it yourself. Okay. If I need,
- 38:57Speaker 1: if I need, what I need, the and I have
- 39:00Speaker 1: to do is get like five piece from each one
- 39:03Speaker 1: of you, all five hundred. Yes, it's six of you,
- 39:09Speaker 1: all six thousand, five hundred. Now listen, come on, I'm
- 39:19Speaker 1: just ask one question. Could you break that down with
- 39:22Speaker 1: the six thousand, because you've never done that. You just
- 39:25Speaker 1: say six thousand? What's what? Yeah, well you have to
- 39:30Speaker 1: round it out. It was like, yeah, that's six thousand.
- 39:38Speaker 1: You understand. I have a lot of tights, a lot
- 39:40Speaker 1: of shoes, a lot of scars. What cost what? That's
- 39:43Speaker 1: what I'm gonna asking. What fun do I have to

- 39:51Speaker 1: dy I got wait with spread, Why why are you
- 39:53Speaker 1: aggressive with me? You're very tights cost how much? But
- 39:57Speaker 1: every time you say dollars, man, you just just tights
- 40:01Speaker 1: cost how much? My tights are I guess around seventy
- 40:04Speaker 1: eight dollars right in the air, dollars because because my
- 40:11Speaker 1: tights have rhyan stones and glitters and stuff. Listen, don't
- 40:14Speaker 1: make me go through this item by item. We don't
- 40:16Speaker 1: have to talk to if you won't like a Boa
- 40:19Speaker 1: like you were. BoA's right, how much of the other bowl?
- 40:23Speaker 1: And then and then out of my weeks a feather
- 40:26Speaker 1: boa boy. I felt the boy could easily start at
- 40:29Speaker 1: four or five. So now y'all dollars. So, now y'all

- 47:28Speaker 1: doing too much shouting at church on Sunday, and it
- 47:33Speaker 1: seems to be going on every Sunday. You're running up
- 47:35Speaker 1: and down the aisle and you're shouting all over the place,
- 47:37Speaker 1: and it's me I've been singled out about my shouting.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Wellever dindly is distracting, man, You're distracting everyone from getting
- 47:47Speaker 1: the word and listening to the word and being involved
- 47:49Speaker 1: in the service. And that's the purpose of the call
- 47:52Speaker 1: is to see if we can get you to tone
- 47:54Speaker 1: it down something. Okay, So the whole church is complaining
- 47:57Speaker 1: about me shouting the way people run up and down
- 48:00Speaker 1: them off every Sunday and almost turning cart wheels and flips,
- 48:04Speaker 1: and they're singling me out, complained about me. Well, ma'am,
- 48:07Speaker 1: I don't know how it is that you can see
- 48:09Speaker 1: everybody else doing cart wheels when you're the ones that
- 48:12Speaker 1: they say is the one that's doing them. Am I
- 48:14Speaker 1: being singled out? Man. All I'm saying is that they're
- 48:17Speaker 1: saying that you're doing too much shouting and too much
- 48:20Speaker 1: running at this church. Now I'm just the message. Okay. Well,
- 48:23Speaker 1: they can't tell me how to shout. They don't. They
- 48:25Speaker 1: can't tell me what's going on in my life, what's
- 48:27Speaker 1: gonna keep me from praising God? And they I mean,
- 48:30Speaker 1: they could just they could go somewhere else with that,
- 48:32Speaker 1: but they're not gonna tell me that. I can't praise
- 48:35Speaker 1: my God. They don't know how good God it's been
- 48:37Speaker 1: to me. And you know what, I understand that I
- 48:39Speaker 1: agree with you wholeheartedly. But it's becoming a distraction. I mean,
- 48:44Speaker 1: they was at the point last night talking about should
- 48:46Speaker 1: we put some seatbelts on the pews so so you
- 48:49Speaker 1: can stay down some sea high They gonna tell people
- 48:52Speaker 1: they can't shout in church, embrace God? What can we
- 48:55Speaker 1: call the church for? Well, you do come to we
- 48:57Speaker 1: need to be trying to plase God and get their
- 48:59Speaker 1: own shout. Want to stop looking at me and about
- 49:01Speaker 1: what I'm doing. We're gonna need you to quit running
- 49:04Speaker 1: up and down these aisles and doing what I'm sorry.
- 49:07Speaker 1: You know, I'm trying to stay calm. I'm trying my best.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Who Jesus, Jesus sure that that's not happy? You can't
- 49:15Speaker 1: tell me I gotta stop shouting. Okay, man, But let
- 49:17Speaker 1: me ask you. Are you running now? Aren't you just
- 49:20Speaker 1: standing still talking? But I don't have to run right now? Okay,
- 49:24Speaker 1: what I'm trying to get you to do? You know,
- 49:25Speaker 1: like if I want to run up and down this
- 49:27Speaker 1: street right now, I can run up and down the
- 49:28Speaker 1: street and place God. But they're not gonna tell me
- 49:30Speaker 1: to stop shouting at church? Can we get you to
- 49:32Speaker 1: be a little bit more reserved as what we see? Man,
- 49:35Speaker 1: let me let me go ahead and go further on
- 49:36Speaker 1: what they do. The spirit moves. Okay, well, let me
- 49:41Speaker 1: move and tell you what they've told me. Now. If
- 49:45Speaker 1: we can't get to the point where you can, you know,
- 49:47Speaker 1: tone it down, then we may have to ask you
- 49:50Speaker 1: to leave. Let them ask me, Jesus, Jesus, you let
- 49:57Speaker 1: them ask me. Why don't they want me to leave
- 49:58Speaker 1: a church. I've been at that church for fifteen years.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I'm not leaving the church. I'm gonna run up and
- 50:04Speaker 1: I'm not gonna go on the church. I don't even
- 50:07Speaker 1: turn me some flip where I feel like not not
- 50:10Speaker 1: not no, no, listen, I think that that's all. I'm okay,
- 50:13Speaker 1: go ahead, but I'm gonna be there. I'm going to
- 50:16Speaker 1: I am going to be there on Sunday. Man, and
- 50:19Speaker 1: I have been the person that's been appointed to make
- 50:21Speaker 1: sure that you're not running up and down these house
- 50:23Speaker 1: and shotting like this. You've got to keep yourself reserved
- 50:26Speaker 1: so people can hear the word of God. You are
- 50:29Speaker 1: standing in people's word that's what you're doing. You're in
- 50:31Speaker 1: the whale. If they come trying to send me down,
- 50:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna get them a word and ain't gonna be
- 50:35Speaker 1: a god. So put that hands up on me here,
- 50:38Speaker 1: not listen. I'm trying to hear that. Now. You can
- 50:40Speaker 1: say I haven't been in that church fifteen years. If
- 50:43Speaker 1: I want to run, dance, shout, jump, whatever I want
- 50:46Speaker 1: to do, I'm gonna do it. Ain't nobody gonna stop me.
- 50:49Speaker 1: You're gonna have to stop this this past Sunday. What's
- 50:52Speaker 1: your last Sunday doing it? And you're not gonna do
- 50:54Speaker 1: with this sun? Like I said, just why? And I'm
- 50:57Speaker 1: telling you could tell them I don't choose the deacon,
- 50:59Speaker 1: then of the deaconess, the minister's wives, of who all
- 51:02Speaker 1: the asks you want to tell? Let him put their
- 51:04Speaker 1: hands on me and see if I don't sling on them.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna come write about the spirit and sling on
- 51:08Speaker 1: I'm telling you that now because he said you didn't
- 51:10Speaker 1: really push me that I have tried. I just try.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Let me ask you this here. Where is trying to
- 51:15Speaker 1: show that. I'm saying never, but you make it you
- 51:18Speaker 1: if you're making me revert back to my own ways
- 51:20Speaker 1: and you you really me out that's what you're gonna do. Okay, well,
- 51:23Speaker 1: let me ask you this, what is the god at
- 51:25Speaker 1: right now? And you where is the one that say
- 51:28Speaker 1: it is? The God? Was in me when I was
- 51:30Speaker 1: trying to be called with you at first to tell
- 51:32Speaker 1: you don't be calling me with this polishness. But now
- 51:34Speaker 1: you have to make the other sign of me roll
- 51:36Speaker 1: he's up. Well, you wouldn't raised it up in there.
- 51:38Speaker 1: You wouldn't raised it up in me too. Guess what
- 51:40Speaker 1: come sounding? You're gonna set you in that pew and
- 51:43Speaker 1: you ain't gonna say you know when you came yourself
- 51:48Speaker 1: in the pew. Okay, I'll right, I'm right. Were gonna
- 51:50Speaker 1: see how where I'm not sitting that people? Amount of fact?
- 51:53Speaker 1: First thing sign the morning, I'm going in the past.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we're gonna deacon, you are whatever your name is.
- 51:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna on my body how you need to lose.
- 52:03Speaker 1: I would be talking to Pastor myself and letting him
- 52:06Speaker 1: know about this situation. You don't talk, You don't know.
- 52:09Speaker 1: We can try and pass right now, we're just passing one.
- 52:12Speaker 1: You don't talk to Pastor. I talked to Pastor Art Timpting. Yes,
- 52:17Speaker 1: like I said, I'm telling you, oh, Jesus, you feel
- 52:21Speaker 1: old Jesus, not not not not not See just like
- 52:24Speaker 1: this here you see how you're calling on him and
- 52:26Speaker 1: you stand yeah, because I'm calling on him to kid
- 52:28Speaker 1: me from just really going to cuss you out right
- 52:30Speaker 1: there because you've ben't really hitting my nerves. I got
- 52:33Speaker 1: one more thing I need to say to you, lady.
- 52:35Speaker 1: You know you better say real quick cause you're gonna
- 52:37Speaker 1: talk to this operator that's his nephew Timing from the
- 52:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pray by your girl.
- 52:48Speaker 1: You're not you know, I'm oh, I'm I'm gonna kid
- 52:52Speaker 1: but me up your cursing on the part. Okay, Jesus.
- 53:00Speaker 1: One more thing, baby, let me ask you something. What
- 53:02Speaker 1: is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show
- 53:05Speaker 1: in the landing. You can't really come between nobody. And
- 53:13Speaker 1: that's a no note, no me and my Jesus. I'm
- 53:17Speaker 1: just telling you that's not something you come between. You
- 53:20Speaker 1: don't do that, man, Jesus Jesus. What they like and
- 53:28Speaker 1: then you go right there, that's what you do, man,
- 53:30Speaker 1: That's what you're supposed to do. You see now, what
- 53:35Speaker 1: would be passionate to Uncle Steve? Money? Oh yeah, it
- 53:40Speaker 1: ain't money. You don't want to do? Yeah? Play take it.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you, as Jesus, been to your
- 53:57Speaker 1: show yet since everyone know what? Uh no, stop Shirley.
- 54:02Speaker 1: But you know in Miami, I mean they was just
- 54:05Speaker 1: called it. You know we talk we're talking about. Hold on,
- 54:14Speaker 1: hold on, hold on? Who was who was just calling
- 54:17Speaker 1: in Miami? Who? You ain't gonna believe it? Oh yes,
- 54:22Speaker 1: I will? Okay? You read Warren South. You know he
- 54:27Speaker 1: used to play for Miami to college. He blowing me up.
- 54:30Speaker 1: He wanted to come to the show right after the game.
- 54:33Speaker 1: He blowing time up and like soup, I can't. I
- 54:36Speaker 1: can't get you in when it's so like you talking
- 54:38Speaker 1: about and South not Marvin war Did you talk about
- 54:47Speaker 1: one of them? Event to the play? But he don't
- 54:52Speaker 1: know you you dude? What is that was? That was?
- 54:56Speaker 1: That was Marvin's sad? All right? Coming up next Today's
- 55:09Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. You don't want to miss it. You're listening
- 55:12Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Strawberry Letter is up next.
- 55:16Speaker 1: But first, now, according this is according to Yahoo dot com. Guys,
- 55:21Speaker 1: that's the one. U c l A basketball freshman lo
- 55:24Speaker 1: Angelo Ball, Cody Riley, and Jalen Hill will likely have
- 55:30Speaker 1: to stay behind in China for a week or two
- 55:34Speaker 1: while the team flew home after Friday night season opener
- 55:37Speaker 1: win over Georgia Tech. Ball, Riley, and Hill were arrested
- 55:41Speaker 1: you recall on shoplifting charges uh last Tuesday, as they
- 55:45Speaker 1: were accused of allegedly stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton
- 55:50Speaker 1: store next to the team's hotel in hang Zoo, both
- 55:54Speaker 1: teams participating in the China game or staying in the
- 55:57Speaker 1: same hotel earlier last week before moving to Shanghai, where
- 56:01Speaker 1: the Pack twelve China game was played. All three were
- 56:04Speaker 1: released on bail early Wednesday morning, as they've been forced
- 56:07Speaker 1: to stay at the Highatt Regency and hang Zoo with
- 56:10Speaker 1: a U c l A representative while the legal process
- 56:14Speaker 1: plays out. Horrible stories. This one got serious. Not when
- 56:18Speaker 1: the rest of the team didn't left. Y'all Just get
- 56:20Speaker 1: by yourself tight now to listen to me, everybody tight.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Now that that's when you got that permantent, Widgie. It's
- 56:37Speaker 1: a feeling. It's you feel like you constipated all the time.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. I mean, man, you're just sitting over
- 56:45Speaker 1: that and man, you're in a place you don't know
- 56:47Speaker 1: what they say, you know, yeah, they just talking. And
- 56:53Speaker 1: then that one dude coming in with that real soft voice.
- 56:56Speaker 1: My question is, I don't really know. I've never heard
- 56:58Speaker 1: of these guys. Are they that good? It's the ball?
- 57:02Speaker 1: The ball does I don't this kid, he's too new,
- 57:11Speaker 1: I'm not you know, they say that all the teammates
- 57:14Speaker 1: love to play with him. A selfish basketball player. I'm
- 57:18Speaker 1: pretty sure I've heard the Lakers front off people say
- 57:21Speaker 1: that they wish he would be a little bit more aggressive.
- 57:24Speaker 1: But I don't. I'm talking about the one that's playing
- 57:28Speaker 1: with the Lakers right now. I don't see the greatness there.
- 57:34Speaker 1: And maybe it's just because he's so young, but he's
- 57:36Speaker 1: only nineteen. His footwork is horrible right now. Um, you know,
- 57:42Speaker 1: he has he has a good vision for the game,
- 57:45Speaker 1: but a lot of his passes are just a little
- 57:47Speaker 1: bit too slow, and he's just he's just not up
- 57:50Speaker 1: to speed with the pro game yet. To me, this
- 57:53Speaker 1: is just to me, I could be wrong, but it's jumper.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I don't see how it's gonna survive the NBA. I
- 57:59Speaker 1: don't know how you can play the point and you
- 58:00Speaker 1: can't take nobody off the dribble. He ain't got nothing
- 58:04Speaker 1: to shake nobody. Leave him stand there and if he
- 58:06Speaker 1: wide open, he can shoot that shot. But that's just
- 58:10Speaker 1: what I see so far. I could be wrong, but
- 58:12Speaker 1: I've been watching basketball long time, and if I could
- 58:16Speaker 1: just see some spurts of brilliance from this kid that says, oh,
- 58:19Speaker 1: this is what he do? I mean, I just haven't
- 58:23Speaker 1: seen it. I haven't seen a whole lot of games.
- 58:26Speaker 1: You know. He had a triple double recently, so that
- 58:29Speaker 1: does say something that something's there, But I just haven't
- 58:32Speaker 1: seen it. Is he that good? They just look at
- 58:34Speaker 1: the rose colored glasses? I went to to have you
- 58:45Speaker 1: seen the glasses on? It's time to go to the letter.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Tell the Lord introduced the letter. It's strawberry. Let's go. Okay, well, mom,
- 59:00Speaker 1: so hold on tight. We gotta letter subject the size
- 59:11Speaker 1: really matter. Now we're gonna do this Strawberry a little
- 59:15Speaker 1: bit different because Shirley has to answer this one. I'm
- 59:19Speaker 1: gonna chime it does size really madam? Good morning, Stephen family.
- 59:26Speaker 1: I'm a thirty year old female with no kids, a
- 59:28Speaker 1: great job, and do pretty well for myself. I'm engaged
- 59:31Speaker 1: to a great man who proposed to me on Valentine's
- 59:34Speaker 1: Day this year. He has two kids with someone else
- 59:37Speaker 1: and takes very good care of his children, which is
- 59:39Speaker 1: just one of the things I respect about him. Here's
- 59:42Speaker 1: my question to you, The size really matter? I'm talking
- 59:48Speaker 1: about diamonds in my room when he proposed. When he proposed,
- 59:56Speaker 1: I was so excited and responded right away. Have no
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: regrets on saying yes because I do love him. The
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: ring that he got me is really small, to the
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: point where I can barely see the diamond myself, so
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I know other people can't see it. It looks diamond cut.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I don't want to hurt his feelings regarding the size
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: of the ring, but this is bothering me. Should I
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: say something to him and resounding selfish and jeopardizing our relationship?
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Or should I just wear with pride every day like
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I have been doing since he proposed. Wow, I wanted
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: to read this first to let Shirley answer this, cause
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: I don't know about that. I do know how he
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: will respond, but go ahead, Well, you know what I'm
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: gonna just gonna be totally honest with you, Steve. It
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: depends on the intent behind the ring, that is. Uh.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: You know, if if this is all he can do
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: right now financially, and he did it with love, he
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: did it with real love, you know, then yes, we're
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: it with pride every day like you like you're doing
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: because at the end of the day, it is about
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the love. It is about the commitment. It is about
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: the marriage, nothing else. And the ring should reflect that. Okay, Um,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: you know you say in the letter that here, okay,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: you mean the ring should symbolize yeah, yeah, well yeah yeah,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and it should. Um. You said he was a great man,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you said he was a very good dad. That's what's
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: really important here. It really is. Somehow the ring, how
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: big the diamond is, you know, has become the symbol
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: of how much your man loves you or how much
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: money your and your man has. So you know, if
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: the ring is small, then the perception is your man
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: is brokeer, you know, something like that. But but having
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: said all that, I do know how you feel. I
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: do know how you feel. When you girls here that
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you're engaged, the first thing they say is, oh girl,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: let me see the ring. That's what they say. You know,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: that's what they say. And you feel what a little
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: embarrassed or something. You know, your hand out, you know,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: you do? You do well? I say, you know, don't
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: feel like that. You've been wearing your ring proudly, wear
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: your ring proudly. You know. Um, you to work on
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: building a strong foundation, a strong marriage, and then the
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: next year or so then you can say something add
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: you know, add to your range, change the setting, get
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: some more diamonds in their trade up, if you will,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: a lot of people do that because at some point
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: it's got to be about the real things in life.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: It's got to be about that, the love, the commitment,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: the marriage. All right, don't sound like it's a setting
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: on this down well, you know that's how that's my
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: honest opinion on it. Steve Goodrum, No, I want to
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: talk to him before. So is this your segment? I
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: just two months okay, just checking though we had arranged
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: how he was going to do this. I love you man.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: We have part two. We have part to have Steve's
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three after the hour you're
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: listening to the stew all right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: get to part two of Today's response to the Strawberry Letter.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Let's go. Yeah, this topic is a hot one. It
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: is a hot bed. The Strawberry to Letter Today doesn't. Yes, sir,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I was going to say. I read that it's supposed
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: to be two months of the man's salary. That's what
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: it says on Google. Then you hear three malls. I
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: thought it was some people say six malls. No, No,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: that's too much. That's too much, man, you know, I think, uh, here,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: let let me let me help you understand something here.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: I cannot dispute that a woman would like a really
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: really not because here's the problem that I've seen. They girls, Yeah,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: that's what it is. They've got to show it to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: they girls. Look, one of the problems is some of
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: the women that will be hating on the size of
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: your ring and going laughing at it, or is so
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: smart I can't hardly see that little thing. Don't have
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: one day own self. So you're gonna run into that situation.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Then you've got people who, no matter how happy you are,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: they're not happy for so they're gonna find some reason
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: to hate again. The real deal is, is this man
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: proposed to you and wants you to be his wife. Now.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: In the letter, the lady said he has two kids
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: that he takes very good care of, which is one
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: of the things I respect about him. Well, now you've
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: got two kids you're paying child support for no telling
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: what they may be planning on the house, got a house,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: saving for a house? You never know. The man may
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: have did the very best that he could do with
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: the money that he had. In that regard, ladies, you
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: have to be appreciative of the thought and the gesture.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Now let me help you with this side. From the
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: male perspective, she says, it looks like a diamond cut.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I don't want to hurt his feelings regarding the size
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: of the ring, but this is bothering me. Should I
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: say something to him and resounding selfish and jeopardizing our relationship?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Or should I just wear it with the pride every
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: day like I have been doing since he proposed so So,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: so here's the deal. If you take the ring back
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: a man, it's going to be hurt. He is going
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: to be hurt because in his mind he may have said, man,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: this is all I got, this the best I can
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: and could have maybe be maybe even extended himself quite
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: a bit to even make that happen. I've seen it
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: because I got a friend of mine who did it.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Bought this girl a ring. She tripped. He was livid
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: because guess what he had did the best he could do,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: and she didn't like the ring, and she told him
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: she has another ring. But he brings it up all
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: the time because it hurt him. So now know that
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: this is gonna hurt the guy. But if you're gonna
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: do it, here is a slick way to do it.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Here is a slick way to do it if you
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: could be smart enough about it and keep the setting.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Say to your fiance, you know what, this is absolutely gorgeous.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: You know what I've I've saved for for wedding. You
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: know I've been working on my wedding and stuff, and
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I got a little money aside. How would you feel
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: if we just took the diamond, the center diamond, which
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: is what's comprised of an engagement ring? Am I correct? Yeah?
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: What if we put a little money when it and
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: traded in and just said that because I love the ring,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: I think the ring is gorgeous, and I want this
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: ring because this is the one you proposed to me
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: with and I don't want to lose that right there.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: But how would you feel if I had saved up
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: some money and I put a little bit with it
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: and we traded the diamond in for a bigger diamond
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: with that bother you? But I want to keep the
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: ring is so beautiful and it means so much to me.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: That would be the slickest way, I think. And once
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: again it's just my opinion. Okay, let me ask you
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: this a yes, sir? Will it help if you also
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: change the cut of it? You know what I'm saying
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: that like if it's a princess cut and she says,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: why don't we get around? When I'm really like, what
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: does that help to change the cut of it? Because
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: you're changing the ring, you're changing the diamond that he
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: gave you. You know, so you can change I say,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: you can upgrade or change the setting. Like you say. Now,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: what you can do is when you go to look,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: let it be his idea to pick out the stone. See,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: let it be him if he wants to change it
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: to a Markie, which is going to give you a
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: bigger look. Yeah, you're talking about after she wants it.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I'm if you want to upgrade it. That's just a
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: suggestion of mine. You may want to do it next,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: all right, Steve, you know we gotta go email us
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's letter at my
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: girl Shirley. Okay, and switching gears now. President Donald Trump
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: loves McDonald's. He loves McDonald's. He loves he loves McDonald's
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: so much that he requested that the chefs and kitchen
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: staff at the White House recreate some of his favorite
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: items on Mickey D's menu that includes quarter pounders with
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: apple pies. Uh yeah, this is according to Politico. Yet
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: the kitchen cloning of McDonald's didn't always cut it for
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: the president. Sometimes he sent aids to the actual McDonald's
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: to pick up that tocdonald's. Yeah. Keith Schiller, who worked
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: as an aide for Trump until September, was reportedly asked
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to go to McDonald's in the Washington, d c. Area
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: and pick up a quarter pounder with cheese just how
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: the President likes it, without pickles, but with extra catch up.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: But you gotta have that little machine that's got that
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: mustard and catch up in and it dropping on it,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: you say, They want to say but it's some fast
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: food that's absolutely wonderful. It is McDonald's. McDonald's is one
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: that McDonald's double fish sandwich. It go hard back and
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: hurt back in b D when I used to try
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: it out? Oh my, didn't it be both beat it?
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Okay in b D before that beat it? We love McDonald's,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: love him in and out Burger in l A. Oh my,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: really it is not worth that line, man. I finally
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: had it. I went who you can put that thousand
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: on at home? I don't care where you go. There
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: there always a line wrapped around the building out all right,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: They're gonna have to have a defibrillator around that net
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: for him, because hey, he likes what he likes. Okay,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Coming up at forty one after the hour. Things men
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: say when it's something they don't want to talk about, Guys,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right now, Jay,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: this is a comedy segment you wrote. What it's all
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: things men say when they don't want to talk about it.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: For example, phrases they say just a little words, little
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: phrases like the phrase I don't know tom up. This
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: is just a more creative way of lying on just
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: a list of summer summer all right, that's what you got?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: You know. I know I'm gonna get in trouble. I
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: don't worry about the time you got. Your dad ain't
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: got nothing to do with it. Here, Junior, this is
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: one of my favorites. Also, we're back there again? Are
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: we back there again? I thought we'd covered this. These
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: are lines, whatnot? J lines that men use when they
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: don't want to talk about it at all? You got
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: what did you see me? You just see me? Okay?
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: Here we go? Here we go? Please please not today?
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Really not today? All right? Not today? Whatever? Today? All day?
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: Tell me I just watched the game. But I do
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: that that bad boy? Don't? It don't make no sense.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: But I'll tell you one thing. This is what I
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: always like to say because I because of my condition,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: because I have my hip hurt. These are things men
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: say when they don't want to talk about it. What
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: you got, sey? I just can't do nothing? Right? Here
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: we go? I got what things men say when they
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: don't want to talk about That was ten years ago. Damn,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Oh my god. I've heard that before. And what response
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: things makes sense? You don't want to talk about what
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: you got. Look, I got to be on the radio
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: in the morning with a clear mind. I cannot do this.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I've used that one before myself, saying they don't want
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: to talk about it. I just walked into dough. Now
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: can I just get in the house time right now?
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Things men saying the one time away? What you got, Steve?
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: I know you got a little damn what now? I
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: like that straight to damn what now? It's funny about what? What? What? What?
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: At me? Like that fun what? I don't mean? I
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: don't mean no harm. Is it just that time of
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: the money you don't get told? Yeah, but you got
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: you The things men say don't they don't want to
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: talk about it. Things men say what? They don't want
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: to talk about it? So you're just gonna believe him
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: over me. That's cool, that's cool. Go ahead with that one.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Are they lying? Yeah? I don't care, But that's cool though.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Come on, see, don't do this before. Don't do this.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I don't know what the baby in it? And think
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: we're gonna back things men saving it a one time
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: damn it? Can I just finish my meal, that's all.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: I'm just just let me eat my food. Woman Jay,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: are you in my hunt that your own things? Men
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: say they don't want to tackle when you got junior,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. I was gonna say something, but
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: but I ain't. Though I'm gonna say something, I'm just
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: gonna see him be quiet. If I say something, we
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: ain't gonna be talking for two weeks. I'm shut up.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: I'm just gonna shut up myself. Missing at your house.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: I was gonna say something that would really hurt your feelings,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: but I ain't gonna say it. I don't see yesterday.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Tell you where you man? Okay, y'all gotta listen to car.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: This's just a sound effect. This is when you don't
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: want to You just don't want to hit. Y'all listening,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Just drop yourver That means you're really mad. Just drop
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: your silver. Well that's going right here. This might be
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: just heard in l A. Can I just sit here
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: and be high? Damn, that's all I want to do,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: just trying to be good. I didn't see it this,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: and I actually got some thoat. Why don't you go
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: back and watch the wind? Don't take you deserve that majorly.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Steve closed it out close here right here. You gotta
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: be quiet to hear it, but you say it just
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: loud enough where she can hear you. Ready, here it
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: is Jesus, Jesus alright, coming up at the top of
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: the hour, comedian Tiffany Hattish. That is our girl. She
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: made history past Saturday Night. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Our girl, Tiffany Hattish. Congratulations to her.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: She made Saturday Night Live history this week when she
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: became the first black female comedian to host the sketch
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: comedy show What It is a shocking fact when you
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: consider the show's forty year plus history now forty years plus.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: In fact, there's only been four women period who have
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: served as guest hosts since two thousand five, Kerry Washington
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: to R. G. P Henson, Octavia Spencer and Gabaret Sita
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Bay had just opening monologue touched on everything from the
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: successive Girls trip to Donald Trump's lacefront wig, and to
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: why she'll wear her Alexander McQueen dress multiple times. Take
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: a listen. That told me I should talk about something
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: that's going on in the world, politics, something hot topic. Well,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: here's the thing. I don't really pay attention to the
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: news or anything. All my news comes from the beauty shop. Okay.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: When I get my hair done, I find out what's
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: going on in the work. And we've been talking about
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: a lot of different stuff. They were talking about in
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: the beauty shop just that the day about Donald Trump,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: and we were saying, dang, who is doing Donald Trump's wigs?
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: His lace fronts are off the chat, his hair looking
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: stove goods as he became the president. What kind of
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: glue is he using? Because when the wind blow, it
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: don't even move or nothing that's good here right there.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: I shot a movie with Kevin Hart this summer, okay,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: And Kevin came up to me one day at work
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: and said, Tiffany, you've been to Thailand, China, Japan, you
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: went to Florida, you you went to Texas, You was
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and you did all that
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: in the same day. I was like, no, Kevin, it
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: took me like two years to go to all those places.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: He was like, really, because I went on your Instagram
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: and you was wearing the same outfitting all those places.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: And here's the thing. That's why I can't stand about
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the Internet because it's messing with my fashion game. I
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: feel like I should be able to wear what I
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: won't when I won't. However, many times I won't as
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: long as I for breezy. What like this dress? I
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: worried on the Red Carpet for Girls Trip in my
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: whole team. They told me, Tiffany, you cannot wear that
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: dress on SNL. You already wore it. It's taboo to
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: where it twice and I said, I don't give a
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: dang about no taboo. I spent a lot of money
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: on this dress. This dress costs way more than my mortgage.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: This is an Alexander McQueen. Okay, it's a four thousand
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: dollar dress. I'm gonna wear this dress multiple time. Read
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: you must see this dressing two sketches tonight. Okay. If
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: somebody invites me to a bar about mix for guess
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: what I'm wearing to with this Alexander McQueen. If somebody
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: invites me to an all black party, guess when I'm
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: wearing this all white dress. If another man asked me
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: to marry him, If I ever get married again, and yes,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: I've been married before. People are always shocked when I
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: say that, Like Tiffany, you've been married. Yes, I'm a
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: beautiful woman. Okay, I'm get married to a three month times.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I might have Listabeth Taylor this time, you don't know.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: But if another man asked me to marry him, guess
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: what I'm wearing this dress? And shoot, don't invite me
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: to your wedding because I probably wear this dress to
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: it too. And if I die, which I hope I
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: never do. I hope I live forever. But if I die,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: and even if I become fat, it's hey, okay, if
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: I'm the biggest, fattest, I don't care. When I'm laying
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: in that casket. I guess what's gonna be laying on
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: top of my fat ass body? This dress? I love her? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: and the movie was great too. He started to put
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: comedy at the Jaspond Comedy Club, Los Angeles, California. Any
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: One West Mainchester, Evidence on top, Little two on topol
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: se Scarted on Taco. I've never been on stage before,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: So you're saying that, so Junior, Yeah, where he would
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: be performing with greatness right behind Tiffany has. That's where
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: her career that started. So forgive the fact that you're
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: not getting paid, Junior, what happens? This is why I'm
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: not getting because I'm lying. Congratulations you get so good girl. Yeah,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: that was awesome. Love her, love her, love her, love her. Alright,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: so congratulation. Just Tiffany, two thousand seventeen has been your year.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Yes it has. And we have four comedians on this show.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: We do, yeah, we do. See why did you take?
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Why did it? Why do you think it took so
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: long for a black comedian to host Saturday Night Live
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: a female? Simple just because of the executive producer. Talk
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: about it, talk about it all overlook overlooks. Yeah, it
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: doesn't matter. It's what is what they think is funny. Okay.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: If they don't perceive you as funny, then you know,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: that's it. If they don't perceive you as funny and relevant,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: that's it, period. And there's no the reason for it.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: I mean, we can quit dancing round. They don't perceive
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: you as funny and relevant you they don't invite you, period,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: and your audience doesn't matter to them. It does not
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: matter at all what you're doing and bringing out black comedy,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: which is they've a lot of these white clubs, pretty
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: much all of them. Ever, last one the comedy boom
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: in the eighties, which was everywhere so many clubs when
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: they started dying down because it was oversaturated. What say
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: those comedy clubs was guys like myself, j Anthony Brown
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: and George Wallace who started doing I did the first
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: black comedy night at a white club ever. I did
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: it down in Montgomery, Alabama. The first time I ever
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: seen at the punch Line BLX was the first black night.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: I convinced the club owner to allow the Blacks to
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: come in for the price of the call station, which
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: was and that was a night that they normally paper
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: the room, meaning give out free tickets because comedy clubs
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: didn't load up to Friday and Saturday night. The rest
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: of the night they paper the room and they just
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: made money off drinks and chicken wing. I was selling.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I got so many people to come out of BLX
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: that I created a night, and then I became a draw.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Then I took that concept around the country to Birmingham,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: to all of the comedy clubs, Knoxville, all the punch lines.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: I took all that around and then other brothers started
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: doing it, and that's what caught it on. And then
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: all of a sudden, when blacks came to town, they
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: filled up the rooms Tuesday through Sunday, like what Tommy's
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: doing now, what kids doing Now they could go to
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: a club, you know, for the whole weekend and sell out.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: It's hard to find other acts that can do that.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: And it saved the comedy clubs, it really did, right,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: all right, we'll continue this conversation Steve right after this.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: You're listening to show. So Steve, you were saying about
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: the state of comedy today and how you started. Well,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: you know, African Americans never got the credit that was
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: due them in comedy and what they bought to the table.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: And Jay can attested this because Jay and I started.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Jay started a little bit before me. When Jay and
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I were out there working listen to me in five
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: eighty six, eight eighty nine, nine, two blacks could not
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: perform on the same show, you know, in a white
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: comedy club. They made sure they didn't happen. And why
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: were that because it would bring it would bring the
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: audience that it would bring a black audience, and they
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: would a mindset that they didn't really want a black
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: audience until they needed the black audience, which is now.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: Trust me, if it wasn't for the black comics selling out,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: these clubs. These yuck yucks, these hags, these giggles, these tickles,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: these but all of them, they would be dead. Look
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: at your ticket price on any night that you have
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: Tommy or Jr. It's thirty five forty dollars. Through the week.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: You got Billy Um Juggling, whatever his name is, it's
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: ten dollar ticket. We're saving these clubs and they know it.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: They know it telling you, man, and it's and And
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: I'll stand and say this in front of anybody because
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: I know this business right here, the business of stand up.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: You can't tell me nothing about it because I've lived
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: my all of my adult life, I've been doing this
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: and so has Jay. And this business was so segregated.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: I mean it was crazy, man. It was. It was
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: some acts that wouldn't work if it was a black
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: on the show it was white. Club Owners would come
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: and tell you what material you could and couldn't do
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: to pull back. Man. I got to the town with
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: with with with his cool dude name Carl Strong at
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: him out of out of Milwaukee. I had to leave
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: because my name was Steve Harvey. They thought I was white.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Carl Strong had been in it longer than me. I
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: had to go home. I've gone home three fold times
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: because I was the second black man. We don't want
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: two blacks on the show. It's the same material. Nobody
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: wants to hear that this a new comedy. Man really
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: exposed the fiber of this country. And that's what comedy
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: has always done. But now, like Jerry Seinfeld said, political
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: correctness is killing company because now it's so politically correct.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: You can't tell a joke about nothing. What's the black
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: wave before you and Jake is Jimmy Walker? Know you
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: had Pickney marking mom's mainblad. You had that was wave,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: you know, prior Fox. But these guys, you gotta understand
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: it was different. Then. Cosby has over twenty comedy albums.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: You can't. You can't sell twenty comedy albums anymore. As
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: soon as you put it out, they still it. It's
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: on the internet. He's got twenty albums and a lucker
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: full of wine. There's just so much wine left. But
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: he cannot. You cannot have a serious conversation with two
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: damn foods on your shop. Here the question, there's a
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: question I did want to ask. Okay, jay Um, you
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: own a comedy club. Now, Steve, you used to own one.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Why besides financial for financial reason, why aren't there more?
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: I'll tell you why. I will tell you why. And
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this. Nobody ever asked me, and I
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: don't really care, and I don't care who holds that
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: step on. Famous black comedians who have made it sometimes
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: won't go to black owned comedy clubs. They just will
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: not set foot in the door. And you know who
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: who I'm talking about, the ones who've never been. Now,
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: you don't have to come to my club, but you
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: will go uptown to some of these other white clubs
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: for free, and you won't come to the J's. And
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: that's that's that's one of the problems. That's why more
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: black people don't own comedy. That's one of them. All right,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: back to back, jam Let me just say this to you, JA.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: If you don't have my money, I'm not coming to you.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: I hope you was talking. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, O. J. Simpson, you guys
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: hear about this story? Yeah? O. J. Simpson was allegedly
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: drunk and unruly. I said allegedly. I did say allegedly
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: drunken unruly at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. This
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: is according to hotel staffer staffers. He was drunk, got
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: disruptive at the click bar, he got mad at the staff,
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: and glasses were broken at the bar. Security showed up
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: and removed o J from the hotel and while he
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: was nice to the guards, o J was permanently banned
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: from the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Nothing happened at the Cosmic. And
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: if the legitimate media would pay any attention and take
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: any time to double check any stories intead of running
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: with these stories by the by these tabloid to the stations,
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: it's complete line. He just totally lied to everybody. Your thoughts, Shirley,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: in the words of your mama, Yeah, go sit down
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: somewhere seen everyone has seen you. And that's his problem, man.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: But you know what his rich problem is. He still
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: thinks he's the juice. But why can't he just go
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Why don't he just drink? Oh J, just juice. He
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: was mad, he was drinking valking orange juice. They ran
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: out of orange juice. All in his feelings, right, that's
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: one guy said, Well he just got mad. At least
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: he didn't kill anybody. Come on, like, what you know
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: how to juice it. Step, don't go hit away, Yeah,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: to go somewhere and sit down. Yeah. Man, let me
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: tell you something. When you own parole, that's a very
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: delicate time for you because you can violate probation for
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: a number of reasons. Are you supposed to be drinking? No,
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: not drugging, disorderly? No, No, they violate you for man,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: you can't do anything. You can't be in the presence
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: of other criminals. You can't be in any criminal activity
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: involvement in any way. Exactly. I don't want a video run.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: This is too much though, Really, this is really too
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: much right here. I mean to just is that asking
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: too much though, Steve for him to just sit down.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, you know what, Man, you wouldn't
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: normally regular people. You don't have to tell too right, Seriously, Man,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: we have a part of us that go okay yea.
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: He still thinks in his mind that there's a level
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: of people who still admire him, because, you know, man,
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: there's some people asking for his autograph because they just
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: want to say I got oh J's autograph. He thinks
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: that mean they like him and they know he's stuck on.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: I'm the juice. They love me and he wants them
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: to love them back. It's never gonna be the same
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: for him, never ever. We got to play it the audio. No,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: he got a video talking to TMZ. You got ahead. Wow, Okay,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: we're gonna see if we can play that. Next course
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: Colin has to screen it first. You're listening to Steve
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: Hardy Morning Show. Here we go tell for just one
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: more thing. This is our last break of the day.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: While we learned a lot we did. Yeah, you guys
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: always so interesting. We learned can't go back to let
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: me learn that. Yeah we did, Yeah, we do that.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Every What did we learn is about a learning process? Yeah, okay,
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: O J O J. Juniors working for free? I'm working
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: for free. Butterfly needs six thousand dollars because we got
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: twenty albums and a locker full of wine. We learned
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: about that. Men say that when they don't want to
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: talk about learn about brown golf. Earlier today, we learned
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: that the president loves McDonald's. Yes, yes, we love Yeah.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: Who doesn't love McDonald Who doesn't? Look, what's your favorite food?
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: And mcdowald's, Oh yeah, don't you go friese fries raight Oh,
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: they're delicious when they're hot. I'll tell you what that appen.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: You get two four dollar shirt. But you have to
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: let it cool you whenever, whenever, whenever. That's not apple pie,
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: that's lava. I have a nice I have a lava pie.
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: And the milk. You know it's hot when you put
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: it in your milk chicken, it goes. But you watch
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: your stuff. I was with Biggie Weed one time. We
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: just have McDonalds a hot apple. You've been into it.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Went back to the count and said, could I get
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: an apple in here? Just slice the apple? Looking looking here? Wow?
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: Speaking of apple pie and desserts and stuff. Thanksgiving, we
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: the potato pie. Lord, Jesus, pumpkin pie. Your choice. Just
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: act like you like this is this is so different.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: It's the worst absolute. But if you've grown up on
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: sweet potato pie, you cannot eat pumpkin pie. But the
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: people who like pumpkin pie they hate Swipata was still
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: in Chicago. A very famous baker has made uh combat
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: combined s potato pie with punkin pie. U those two
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: don't go together. Trifles key on trifling. It was like,
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: if you love punkin pie or you love sweet potato pie.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: Everybody agreed that they both groups hate it. The combination.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: I've never seen anybody drive a wedge down the room
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: better sweet pu pumpkin, not good pumpkin pumpkin tailor man
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: that sounds like the musical group. Yes, put your hands together,
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: wild man. You know what's your favorite dessert? Though? Oh
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: my god, barn it's hard because it's so hard for
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: me to find. Well. First of all, German chocolate cake
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: is my favorite, Thank you lord. German chocolate cake is
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: my favorite cake. My favorite pie though, I would, but
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: it's so hard to find a delicious cherry pot But
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: I'm sorry. When somebody can make peach cobbler and make
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: it right, yeah right, I keep saying this. Tommy has
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: a baker that can make some peach cobblers. Steve, Tommy,
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: you have to send him. You have to bring it.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: You don't bring that man. Tommy is probably the most
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: selfish relative. Tommy had a party. He had a layout
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: that you will not believe. He had everything, lobster crap,
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: I mean everything, steaks, whatever, everything. All I ate peach,
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: all I ate the entired night because if it keeps
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: just two scoops of ice cream Steve, a slice of
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: pound cake with some peanut butter in there. What really, yes, man, Yes,
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: peanut butter and ice cream. Then here comes the ambulet
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: and then you off right off to the hotspital. What's
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: the peanut butter? The peanut butter I love because I
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: can go ice cream is pretty good? Yeah, cooking a man?
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: All Bluebell blue Bell that they had a little back

- 1:38:35Speaker 1: What's that love? We made? We sell something they had.
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: You can go to hell. We eat all we can,
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: then we see the rest. You can go to hell
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: if you don't like blue Bear. That works for me
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: like that A little bit might pick that up. They
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: might have. You don't like blue Who don't like blue
