- 2:24Speaker 1: You want to phrase it another way, I want you
- 2:26Speaker 1: to catch on fire today. But I need you to
- 2:30Speaker 1: catch fire today. I need today to be today that
- 2:34Speaker 1: you stop complaining and you do something. Do you know
- 2:38Speaker 1: why a lot of people can't move forward in their
- 2:40Speaker 1: life because they complaining about their past? They always complaining,
- 2:45Speaker 1: man about something? Is that explains the reason why they are.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Let me help you with this right here. If you
- 2:52Speaker 1: are steady complaining about the reason you are, you know,
- 2:56Speaker 1: if I hadn't have met this man, if I hadn't
- 2:58Speaker 1: have been involved with this, And if I hadn't have
- 3:00Speaker 1: had this baby, if I had to never went down there,
- 3:03Speaker 1: if I hadn't got arrested, if I hadn't it this,
- 3:06Speaker 1: if I hadn't it if I had to just finish school,
- 3:09Speaker 1: if I hadn't a hey, hey, hey, stop stop all
- 3:14Speaker 1: that stuff that you're complaining about, everything that you keep
- 3:19Speaker 1: allowing to resonate with you as a reason to justify
- 3:23Speaker 1: and explain you're not being successful. Can I share something
- 3:27Speaker 1: with you about all of that? Guess what it is?
- 3:30Speaker 1: You didn't got past all of it. You didn't had
- 3:34Speaker 1: the baby, you got arrested, they didn't kill you, you
- 3:37Speaker 1: didn't finish school, but you still standing. You met that man,
- 3:41Speaker 1: he gone, He involved with two other women. Right now,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I got three other kids. Guess what. You still here
- 3:47Speaker 1: and the baby's here. You got over all the injustices
- 3:51Speaker 1: that were done to you. You got something happened to
- 3:53Speaker 1: you when you was a kid. You're an adult now.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Somebody did something to you when you was a little boy.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Guess what, man, Now, some thing's happened to you that
- 4:03Speaker 1: you haven't found closure on. The person that you're looking
- 4:07Speaker 1: for closure from has moved on. Can I tell you
- 4:11Speaker 1: that everything that has happened to you, do you know
- 4:14Speaker 1: you've gotten past it? So why are you steady complaining
- 4:19Speaker 1: about what has happened to you that has caused you
- 4:22Speaker 1: to be in this position? But do you understand that
- 4:25Speaker 1: it's prohibiting you from moving forward? Stop complaining today, catch fire,
- 4:29Speaker 1: Let your pass be your pass. I've told us to
- 4:32Speaker 1: you a hundred times on this radio, but I'm gonna
- 4:34Speaker 1: say it again. Bishop Jakes told me something man that
- 4:38Speaker 1: helped me so greatly. You can't drive your car if
- 4:42Speaker 1: you're gonna keep looking in the rearview mirror. That's why
- 4:46Speaker 1: the windshield is huge. The windshield is huge. The rearview
- 4:52Speaker 1: mirror is this tiny thing that sits up there. Now
- 4:55Speaker 1: all is far. It's so you can see stuff that's
- 4:59Speaker 1: coming up on you. All the review mirror for is
- 5:02Speaker 1: so you can assure yourself or listen to this. The
- 5:06Speaker 1: review mirror is impt there to assure you that you've
- 5:10Speaker 1: cleared something. See. That's what the review mirrors for. So
- 5:14Speaker 1: when you pass it, corn you want to switch lanes,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you can glance updre and it says, okay, you're clear.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Now you passed it. You can switch lanes. That's all
- 5:23Speaker 1: the review mirrors for. It ain't for you to stare
- 5:25Speaker 1: at and dictate your life with what you're tripping for. Man,
- 5:29Speaker 1: catch fire today today, man quick complaining about everything that
- 5:34Speaker 1: had happened to you? Life is ten percent of what
- 5:37Speaker 1: happens to you is ninety percent. What you do about
- 5:40Speaker 1: what happens to you? What are you going to do
- 5:42Speaker 1: about it? So what I got all this? Look, man,
- 5:47Speaker 1: your story ain't no deeper than nobody else's. I can
- 5:50Speaker 1: tell you I was homeless for three years. It's people
- 5:52Speaker 1: been homeless for thirty years. How long I'm gonna ride
- 5:57Speaker 1: that out? Man? You know I can't nothing right now.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I fell on hard times and I lost my place
- 6:03Speaker 1: to stay. Why are you staying now? See the majority
- 6:09Speaker 1: of people are staying somewhere right now. I was out there.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I didn't have nowhere to go. I'm in a shelter. Now.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You was under the bridge a week ago. You're in
- 6:17Speaker 1: the shelter. Now. Why are you still crying about the bridge?
- 6:22Speaker 1: You're in the shelter now. Man. You know how you
- 6:27Speaker 1: find your purpose? You get in touch with who created you.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Because when God made you, he had a purpose in mind.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Now we've ignored it and we haven't tapped into it.
- 6:40Speaker 1: But we all had a purpose. You don't, and it's
- 6:43Speaker 1: sometimes it take people longer to discover the purpose. Colonel
- 6:47Speaker 1: Sanders was frying chicken with a recipe that he was
- 6:51Speaker 1: telling people was the best chicken in the world. Ain't
- 6:54Speaker 1: nobody believe him till he turned seventy? Why you think
- 6:59Speaker 1: the dude that only Kentucky fried chicken signs is old.
- 7:04Speaker 1: That dude ain't twenty up there he oh, he oh,
- 7:08Speaker 1: But you know what, He had been frying that chicken
- 7:12Speaker 1: for forty some years. They just found out about it
- 7:17Speaker 1: when he was seventy. But he didn't give up his
- 7:21Speaker 1: purpose in life. This dude was just frying chicken. See,
- 7:24Speaker 1: people keep looking for their gifts in all kinds of
- 7:27Speaker 1: places when it's right there in you. You ain't got
- 7:29Speaker 1: to go to school to find your gift. You're born
- 7:32Speaker 1: with the gift to God God for you. You'll go
- 7:34Speaker 1: to school to tack it on to something else. But
- 7:38Speaker 1: your gift was already given to you. You were born
- 7:40Speaker 1: with that. You don't have to go to college to
- 7:42Speaker 1: know your guilt. Your college allows you to enhance it
- 7:45Speaker 1: it to find something to attach it to and hopefully
- 7:48Speaker 1: you get a degree that attaches your gift to a
- 7:51Speaker 1: vehicle where it can work. The problem with college is
- 7:55Speaker 1: we go to college and we attach it to what
- 7:57Speaker 1: we like or what we might be passionate about. We
- 8:00Speaker 1: ignore the gift we have. You know how many people
- 8:02Speaker 1: and graduating from college ain't doing nothing they went to
- 8:04Speaker 1: college for. Come on, man, you know why because you're
- 8:07Speaker 1: discovering life, your guilt. You discover what you was born
- 8:10Speaker 1: to do. I wasn't bought you know what I mean?
- 8:13Speaker 1: You know what my major was in college? It was advertising.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I can't be in no death, drawing, no picture for nobody.
- 8:20Speaker 1: But now guess what I can wake up every day
- 8:22Speaker 1: and guess what I can tell you? I advertise. I've
- 8:25Speaker 1: been advertising my career. Come see me live. Come see
- 8:28Speaker 1: me live at Madison Square Garden, Come see me live
- 8:31Speaker 1: at Philips Arena. Come see me live at Joker's Comedy Club.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Come see me live at Pursy's. Come see me live
- 8:37Speaker 1: at Ellis's Tavern. Come see me live. Come. I've been
- 8:41Speaker 1: advertising the whole time, but I had a different purpose
- 8:45Speaker 1: in mine because I went and I talked to God.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And this is how you do it, you go talk
- 8:50Speaker 1: to God and say, hey God, look, okay, this is
- 8:52Speaker 1: the deal. I've been struggling here. I'm over forty. I
- 8:57Speaker 1: still haven't found my purpose in life. Okay, but so
- 9:00Speaker 1: I can quit wasting any more time? Would you help
- 9:03Speaker 1: direct me and guide me to my purpose? I know
- 9:06Speaker 1: you created me to do something. I just haven't found
- 9:09Speaker 1: what it is. And the reason I haven't found what
- 9:12Speaker 1: it is because I've been doing things my way. I
- 9:14Speaker 1: ain't been checking what you confirmed with you on anything.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I ain't locked in or tried to settle it up
- 9:19Speaker 1: with you. I've been just doing my thing. Well, my
- 9:22Speaker 1: thing has gotten me as far as it can get me.
- 9:25Speaker 1: How about you takeover and do your thing now? Can
- 9:28Speaker 1: you direct me in my path? I'm an open book.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Treat me like a piece of clay. I'm telling you, man,
- 9:35Speaker 1: if you go to God, he'll give it to you.
- 9:37Speaker 1: But see you have not because you asked not. How
- 9:41Speaker 1: many times have you asked God for it? This ain't
- 9:45Speaker 1: no magic trick, y'all. This is the deal. You got
- 9:49Speaker 1: to catch fire today. Catch fire today, I am. I'm
- 9:53Speaker 1: excited about today. I've got a lot to do. You're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: I was born the change. Oh you're supposed to finish that, man,
- 10:09Speaker 1: Come on, at least give us a by the river.
- 10:14Speaker 1: At least the old jays by the river. That's all
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. That was good enough for me because
- 10:25Speaker 1: I was born by Rivers Creek down our backyard and
- 10:28Speaker 1: worth for West Virginia about you don't let us shock
- 10:34Speaker 1: whoa just like the river, run ahead, Morty, Shirley, you
- 10:40Speaker 1: just stopped. Can't keep up. That's how I want to
- 10:45Speaker 1: start today. Just ran junior man going on, Tommy, big dog,
- 10:53Speaker 1: it dog. You're in a great mood today. Man in
- 10:58Speaker 1: another one. Jess, Yeah, Jess, Jess, Jess, let me make
- 11:16Speaker 1: you man, Just start. Tell the millennials though, you gotta
- 11:27Speaker 1: let the millennial millennials know what's going on, what's happened. See,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I'm just busting out, I'm just busting out hits. Yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 1: these are old schools, not busting old school hits, classics
- 11:40Speaker 1: that just opened up with just gut ranching sing it.
- 11:48Speaker 1: But that one all that all that boy used to
- 11:51Speaker 1: open for me. Oh oh what that Tina Marian. Frank
- 12:02Speaker 1: keep being a Hallway Frank hall him, what a damned Frank,
- 12:08Speaker 1: Love him? And leave him. Yeah, he would be by
- 12:11Speaker 1: a design yea, in the hallway. He would be walking
- 12:16Speaker 1: in the hallway just hitting that note in that time. Oh,
- 12:21Speaker 1: that would do him in the time, the sooner he
- 12:27Speaker 1: walked out on time. Leave damn. Come on, that's what
- 12:40Speaker 1: they used to do us and abuse. Then late os
- 12:51Speaker 1: old you it was past. Yeah. Man, wow, you went bad.
- 13:09Speaker 1: You went from Sam Cook to the OJS, Eddie LeVert
- 13:12Speaker 1: girl and then you've got your hooks and me yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 1: will never be you bay you bay, oh baby baby.
- 13:30Speaker 1: All right, oh good, you've got your hooks and me.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Well we got right after this. You're listening to the
- 13:45Speaker 1: Stave Morning Show. All right, this is according to a
- 13:48Speaker 1: new survey. Guys, the average American will spend about one
- 13:51Speaker 1: hundred and sixty five dollars and some change on Thanksgiving
- 13:54Speaker 1: dinner this year. Uh huh overall. Yeah, that sounds person yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 1: really low per person. Yeah, just that's average, that's the average. Yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 1: they average it out, Yeah, the high and the low,
- 14:07Speaker 1: and they average it overall. Overall, two point ninety eight billion,
- 14:13Speaker 1: that's almost three billion will be spent in the US
- 14:16Speaker 1: on Thanksgiving dinner, with fifty two million turkeys expected to
- 14:20Speaker 1: be consumed fifty fifty two fifty two million turkeys expected
- 14:26Speaker 1: to be them turkeys right now? So nerves that case?
- 14:39Speaker 1: I got so funny. You can't really tragle nobody. You
- 14:52Speaker 1: know when he get it? No, you have got ten years.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I'll be out, he know one Halloween turn. It's a
- 15:00Speaker 1: I think you think, what's a turkey? Does have an
- 15:06Speaker 1: extra rate? Yeah? So they get it, so they get
- 15:10Speaker 1: it right, Yeah, he already know going in. Man, what's
- 15:14Speaker 1: the average what's the lifespan up a turkey? Right? Yeah?
- 15:18Speaker 1: Probably about but they no, I don't think long. But
- 15:21Speaker 1: don't you feel badly talking about it right now? But
- 15:23Speaker 1: you don't at Thanksgiving? Yeah, Like I got a friend
- 15:28Speaker 1: that's a turkey. I don't have a friend. I don't
- 15:31Speaker 1: really care. I'm a friend of turkey. I have say
- 15:34Speaker 1: that the average lifespan of a turkey is ten years. Really,
- 15:38Speaker 1: but that's probably a wild turkey ten years old. But
- 15:42Speaker 1: they get all their life listens, No, that's a wild turkey,
- 15:45Speaker 1: wild turkey. Okay, so like a turkey, got to know
- 15:48Speaker 1: he's like a ball. What's what's the age? How do
- 15:52Speaker 1: you know? I think about a year and a half,
- 15:56Speaker 1: about a year and a half. You know they injecting
- 15:58Speaker 1: pretty good. Yeah the fat. Yeah, they'd be swowed. They'd
- 16:01Speaker 1: be just big ass baby. Yeah, y'all slowed up. So
- 16:09Speaker 1: I do have some ways that people can save money
- 16:12Speaker 1: on their Thanksgiving meal. And you know, of course guys
- 16:14Speaker 1: jump in here. So like, if you're hosting the dinner,
- 16:17Speaker 1: if you're if the dinner's at your house, you want
- 16:19Speaker 1: to save money, make it a pot luck, they're saying,
- 16:22Speaker 1: so all the expenses don't fall on you. Idea covered
- 16:27Speaker 1: that last year. That is not a good idea, sheley.
- 16:30Speaker 1: We disagree with pot luck. Somebody always got something in
- 16:33Speaker 1: the pot that ain't lucky to nobody. But deal the Hey,
- 16:41Speaker 1: it's always full at the end. That's my ham hock
- 16:44Speaker 1: lime of bean castle. What you said, it's always fall
- 16:49Speaker 1: It's always full at the end of the night. Why
- 16:51Speaker 1: doesn't that see that? Nobody ate that up the street?
- 16:56Speaker 1: My boys a friend every year sent to house. Now,
- 17:01Speaker 1: imagine the casserole dish, the ones you call like corning
- 17:05Speaker 1: castle ground. Yeah, picture it full of lima beans. To
- 17:11Speaker 1: the picture in potatoes, whole ball potatoes split right in half, potatoes,
- 17:19Speaker 1: the whole ball potatoes split in half. Now line them
- 17:22Speaker 1: up around the outside of the cast roll dish looked
- 17:25Speaker 1: like a fence made out of teeth, and then put
- 17:30Speaker 1: a ham hawk in the middle of the lima beans.
- 17:33Speaker 1: She sent that down every famous lima bean casserole and
- 17:39Speaker 1: who eats lima beans with potatoes? And the potatoes split
- 17:42Speaker 1: in half, and she lines the flat side up on
- 17:46Speaker 1: the middle, you know, the flat side of where you
- 17:49Speaker 1: cut the potatoes that's facing the middle, so the outside
- 17:52Speaker 1: looked like teeth, and then a ham hawk in the middle.
- 17:56Speaker 1: She sent that down the house every year. My daddy
- 18:02Speaker 1: he wanted to go up there because if my mama
- 18:04Speaker 1: kept stopping, my dad was so bad. But who the
- 18:09Speaker 1: hell she think we are? Why she think we fit
- 18:12Speaker 1: eat this? We can cook down here, old dog. He
- 18:17Speaker 1: was so mad at helmets giving castle role days. That's
- 18:20Speaker 1: when everybody think they're supposed to bring away. You got
- 18:23Speaker 1: some people that it's just easy to let castro. We
- 18:26Speaker 1: don't do it. Why well, let me ask a cute
- 18:29Speaker 1: person on the show, Tommy, what is that dish not
- 18:34Speaker 1: calling on? He don't know? He find that clear, y'all
- 18:47Speaker 1: know I don't say that. Hey, hold y'all, don't hear
- 18:49Speaker 1: him arguing about just blushing. H thank you uncle recognizing
- 19:00Speaker 1: the dish that you famous for making on things. Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 1: it was definitely and macaroni cheese. What's your Steve? Mine
- 19:08Speaker 1: is Jesse Yam. I don't make nothing else that Thanksgiving
- 19:11Speaker 1: and my mother in lawdon took over. I don't even
- 19:14Speaker 1: do that. What's junior swallowing? You know you show up
- 19:19Speaker 1: for tell you something you in la. You can't be
- 19:21Speaker 1: saying that a lot. Okay, that was sad when you
- 19:25Speaker 1: was in Chicago, but you don't go around to people
- 19:29Speaker 1: for Thanksgiving. I do didn't say that. You didn't see
- 19:32Speaker 1: that your favorite swallowing? You don't don't pick that out
- 19:36Speaker 1: there like that. I'm just telling you, wow, okay, you
- 19:39Speaker 1: do like that? Trying to save the question your jokes
- 19:45Speaker 1: is gonna have to be reading that was I don't
- 19:48Speaker 1: cook nothing, carl it. What's your favorite dish? Thank you?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Mac and cheese to make? But I love my mother
- 19:56Speaker 1: loss oyster dressing. She can make some dressing. My mother
- 19:59Speaker 1: lost and then my papa he goes, yeah, I don't.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I can't eat it anymore. But you can't eat what anymore?
- 20:06Speaker 1: See what I'm saying. You can't say nothing wrong. Cake,
- 20:08Speaker 1: fried chicken. Put it in a paper bag and shake
- 20:11Speaker 1: it up with the flower in it. That's how you
- 20:13Speaker 1: fried chicken. Put it in that bag and shake it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: You can't eat can't you can't do it chicken? Oh okay,
- 20:19Speaker 1: because you gave up me. No, because I'm a diabetic,
- 20:22Speaker 1: I shouldn't be eating friedbets. Can't eat chicken. I didn't
- 20:25Speaker 1: know do like boomerang. Dude boomerang for his birthday with
- 20:28Speaker 1: the Lubi's and got a big hunker pink cake. He
- 20:32Speaker 1: ate it in the parking lot of the emergency. So
- 20:36Speaker 1: you're just not gonna ask me. Huh no, No, we
- 20:40Speaker 1: already know not to ask. A matter of fact, we'll
- 20:42Speaker 1: be back talk to you. You get your own break,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and the nephews run that prank back to you're listening

- 21:09Speaker 1: let's go rogue. Well, since we was talking about Thanksgiving
- 21:12Speaker 1: earlier this is a great run back. Catering mistake, cater mistake,
- 21:18Speaker 1: let's run it. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Chammy. Please.
- 21:22Speaker 1: This is hey Chammy. This is a Dexter over here catering.
- 21:28Speaker 1: We catered your your aunt Bridges. Yeah, that's right, that's right,
- 21:32Speaker 1: that's right. How are you doing, Dexter. It's good to
- 21:34Speaker 1: hear from you. Okay, good good. I'm going through the
- 21:39Speaker 1: paperwork here and I know we have an invoice for
- 21:42Speaker 1: you all. I wanted to reach out to you. That's
- 21:44Speaker 1: not a bad time, is it. No, this is a
- 21:46Speaker 1: good time. Okay. So, first of all, did everybody enjoy
- 21:50Speaker 1: everything that we put out for you guys? Yeah, we
- 21:53Speaker 1: had a good all time. My Auntie Bridget she was
- 21:58Speaker 1: so happy. There was no better way to bring in
- 22:01Speaker 1: her sixtieth birthday party. We had a great time. The
- 22:03Speaker 1: food was delicious. We are so grateful, so thank you
- 22:06Speaker 1: so much. You and your team did the bomb job. Okay,
- 22:10Speaker 1: good deal, good deal. I was here when they loaded
- 22:12Speaker 1: up the van and everything, and I wanted to make sure.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I wanted to follow back up. But listen, I'm looking
- 22:16Speaker 1: at the paperwork and we had a little mishap and
- 22:20Speaker 1: I wanted to let you know that we're not going
- 22:22Speaker 1: to um, we're not gonna charge you guys for the
- 22:26Speaker 1: chicken because they made a mistake and they put the
- 22:32Speaker 1: wrong pan on the van and they I noticed that
- 22:36Speaker 1: the chicken was actually still here. So we want to
- 22:39Speaker 1: take off take that off, and I won't. That won't
- 22:42Speaker 1: be on the on the envoys. So I'm taking all
- 22:44Speaker 1: the entire cross the chicken will be completely taken out. Okay,

- 33:57Speaker 1: stories on the Sea Harvey Morning Show that'll be at
- 34:00Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this. You're listening
- 34:05Speaker 1: Steve Show. All right, Steve Jay Anthony Brown, who you've
- 34:10Speaker 1: asked to be ignorant today is here with phrases that
- 34:14Speaker 1: will break up a friendship. Basically, these are roommate rules,
- 34:18Speaker 1: and when you got on your own, you might have
- 34:20Speaker 1: to get a roommate to branch out. But there's some
- 34:22Speaker 1: rules you should live by it. If you get a roommate,
- 34:26Speaker 1: first rulee. If you don't put it in the fridge,
- 34:30Speaker 1: damn it, don't take it out the fridge. How about that? Yeah,
- 34:37Speaker 1: at work, the same thing, same thing. You and your
- 34:41Speaker 1: significant others should not haug the living room. Take that
- 34:45Speaker 1: nasty stuff to your bedroom. Okay, all right, people live here. Yeah,
- 34:49Speaker 1: the other people live here too, all right. Yeah, don't
- 34:53Speaker 1: go in your roommates room for a damn thing. Okay,
- 34:59Speaker 1: why are you in here? What you're doing in here?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Ain't nothing here for you. If your girlfriend or your
- 35:05Speaker 1: boyfriend like eggs, bacon, cheese, alcohol or whatever cereal, make
- 35:11Speaker 1: sure they bring it with their ass when they come over. Okay.
- 35:17Speaker 1: If if that's what they like, ain't nothing make sure
- 35:21Speaker 1: make sure they got that in the bag when they
- 35:23Speaker 1: come in the door. Okay, that's all I'm saying. If
- 35:27Speaker 1: your boyfriend's for the lady, if your boyfriend man man
- 35:30Speaker 1: likes to play video game, you need a big screen
- 35:33Speaker 1: TV for his ass in your room. Okay. But this
- 35:39Speaker 1: is this is a good rule right here. We all
- 35:41Speaker 1: sh you to buy it. By it. Nobody who is
- 35:44Speaker 1: a roommate is allowed to date anybody that's been to prison, nobody.
- 35:54Speaker 1: You gotta make sure you hold in your room. You know,
- 35:57Speaker 1: you gotta. You gotta check all your stuff off because
- 36:02Speaker 1: he no, we can't. All right, then you got a
- 36:05Speaker 1: Christian roommate and you're not a Christian. Let me tell
- 36:08Speaker 1: you Christian something. Who who ever sleeps with, who who
- 36:13Speaker 1: ever sleeps with? Dant your damn den? Okay, okay, the
- 36:19Speaker 1: land one if the rent is due on the foast,
- 36:24Speaker 1: the foist. We agreed that they paid the rental. We
- 36:27Speaker 1: don't want to rent on the second, third, four, fifth, six, seven, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleven, twelve, thirteenth, fourteen, fifteenth, sixteen, seventeen, eighteenth, nineteen, twenty,
- 36:41Speaker 1: twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, six, twenty seven, twenty eight,
- 36:48Speaker 1: twenty nine, thirty. We wanted on the FoST Okay, that's okay,
- 36:55Speaker 1: thank you. Those roommate rules, alright, rule you're listening stew
- 37:04Speaker 1: all right, everybody in this Thanksgiving time, you at your
- 37:06Speaker 1: mama's house, you at your friend's house. You just gathered
- 37:09Speaker 1: around you in the living room, kitchen or the coach,
- 37:11Speaker 1: and you're having these conversations two things, you don't have
- 37:15Speaker 1: all the information, and the other one is they don't
- 37:19Speaker 1: make no damn sense at all. But what you're talking
- 37:25Speaker 1: they sound something like this. Now, last year we was
- 37:29Speaker 1: over at um that see, we was at whose house?
- 37:32Speaker 1: Was we at? Last? It was Charlotte, that was we
- 37:39Speaker 1: was at Kenneth Wayne house. Last Kennel Wayne, Kenneth Wayne, Kenthethwayne. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Kennewayne.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Because what happened was we were trying to watch the
- 37:49Speaker 1: game and they had the small last they had a
- 37:52Speaker 1: small tea. Yeah yeah, you're talking about Kenneth Wayne that
- 38:00Speaker 1: visiting his ring finger. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Y'all think ya, y'all think Ricky gonna get out and
- 38:11Speaker 1: then be able to make it connects Thanksgiving. I don't
- 38:14Speaker 1: know he's missed seven now, I don't know, I don't
- 38:18Speaker 1: I don't know this call he goes off for parole
- 38:23Speaker 1: every year. I heard this girl Carlicia is gonna bring
- 38:26Speaker 1: just bring the turkey and addressing. But you know what
- 38:30Speaker 1: about the prison. When she heard about her, she had
- 38:34Speaker 1: seen somebody else and they would take her to the
- 38:36Speaker 1: prison to see him. Why in the car course, she
- 38:41Speaker 1: said somebody else she'd have had two babies. Why Ricky
- 38:45Speaker 1: in now to stay babies. Why y'all keep back like
- 38:51Speaker 1: y'all don't know this, but why she named that second baby?
- 38:56Speaker 1: Why second baby? The baby dadd name is Rickett. And
- 39:01Speaker 1: she told though told Ricky she would have had a
- 39:06Speaker 1: slow pregnancy, and the baby is his. She said the
- 39:10Speaker 1: whole two years head in there that those was his babies.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Sheld it and he believed it, and he believed it. Now,
- 39:17Speaker 1: the baby don't look like Rickett. The baby looked like
- 39:19Speaker 1: little Richard. He ain't little rich That's what I've seen.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Got the hair cutting, everything got him just like, just
- 39:32Speaker 1: like and his first words were shut up, shut up.
- 39:35Speaker 1: The baby that I don't know what that was. But
- 39:39Speaker 1: I whip baba lue back. Yeah, it's amazing a three
- 39:43Speaker 1: years old he was and wh babaua. Yeah. But what
- 39:47Speaker 1: strange is the baby looked like little but have you
- 39:50Speaker 1: seen the daddy. The daddy looked, yes, like Chuck Barry.
- 39:55Speaker 1: That's crazy. Not that is crazy because I saw him
- 40:00Speaker 1: at the walmart with him and I thought it was
- 40:02Speaker 1: Myles Davis. Oh you know who that is. That's not him,
- 40:08Speaker 1: that's the grandmama that looked like Miles Davis. I remember
- 40:14Speaker 1: Grandma Hattie, Patty, it was Hattie, remember, just like Miles Davis. Yeah, yeah, yeah, listen,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I don't want to worry y'all with that. Mama, Okay,
- 40:32Speaker 1: I go ahead. We didn't ran out of cran beer sauce.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I'm just telling y'all, we didn't ran out of cranbers.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Well it's the cranberrys. Well that's not the sauce though,
- 40:41Speaker 1: that's the actual berries. And don't know nobody like that
- 40:46Speaker 1: something is anybody anybody's size? Me hungry? I guess that's
- 40:52Speaker 1: why we're all here. Grandy, you ready, you're ready to

- 41:04Speaker 1: be time for for uh, you know, for back your folks. Yes,

- 44:09Speaker 1: If you want to pray for my wife and pray
- 44:11Speaker 1: my wife, I'm gonna wait. Wait. You ain't wait, man, Oh,
- 44:15Speaker 1: you can't talk to you about lay hand. That's what
- 44:19Speaker 1: you're gonna now, brother, ain't gonna be none of that.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Ain't gonna be none of that. You're talking to the
- 44:23Speaker 1: wrong brother nine. Okay. Now, first of all, you're not
- 44:27Speaker 1: gonna disrespect me and curse me out. Okay, that's not
- 44:31Speaker 1: even the way brothers should be talking to brothers. Second
- 44:34Speaker 1: of all, if there's any laying on the hand, it's
- 44:36Speaker 1: gonna be my hand laying on you. Okay, you ain't
- 44:39Speaker 1: been the lady in the lady. I know you're trying
- 44:41Speaker 1: to lay all my wife. If I find that on
- 44:43Speaker 1: what you know not you mess around with my wife,
- 44:46Speaker 1: this is gonna be, I know, trying to do crazy.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I'm just leting you. I'm gonna say it one more time.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Keep your black stop around my First of all, I
- 44:56Speaker 1: told you once again you can't be talking to me
- 44:59Speaker 1: like that. Now, I'm trying to be cool about the
- 45:01Speaker 1: situation because I know you may be just upset. Okay,
- 45:05Speaker 1: I can appreciate that. Okay, I have a wife, and
- 45:07Speaker 1: I'll be upset if somebody's coming back to my wife.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Won't you won't you and show out with your wife.
- 45:12Speaker 1: I spend my time with my wifter. I do you
- 45:15Speaker 1: know what I'm saying now? I want to anybody come
- 45:17Speaker 1: about your house. Maybe I need to come out your
- 45:19Speaker 1: house and how let your wife? Were you welcome to
- 45:22Speaker 1: but maybe come come and come lay something over their
- 45:25Speaker 1: own huh? God, trying to do with my holder? Holder
- 45:29Speaker 1: one man, Hold, one man? I told you before being disrespected.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Now that was a very idiotic tapement for you to make. Okay,
- 45:37Speaker 1: that's what's going to happen. If I catch your black
- 45:39Speaker 1: drip my house again, I'm gonna play this man, and
- 45:42Speaker 1: then I'm getting on the phone with you. You your
- 45:44Speaker 1: plasters any more than because if anybody come by my
- 45:47Speaker 1: house again and I ain't there, I'm kicking your black.
- 45:51Speaker 1: That's a promise, you know, Just that's it. Look him, brother,
- 45:55Speaker 1: if that's gonna be any welking going on, I gonna
- 45:58Speaker 1: be kicking your I'm gonna let in my hands on you,
- 46:01Speaker 1: and I'm gonna give you a good sanctified whooping, and
- 46:05Speaker 1: then I'm gonna pray for you. I'm gonna pray to
- 46:07Speaker 1: heal you. Just put I'm gonna put up, okay, because
- 46:11Speaker 1: I've had it with you, you know, and I only
- 46:13Speaker 1: went by it to visit your wife because I was
- 46:16Speaker 1: asked to go visit your wife. Now that was a
- 46:18Speaker 1: problem you should have caused the pastor. Okay, but you're
- 46:20Speaker 1: not going to disrespect me my wife to church on
- 46:23Speaker 1: the phone's life. You want to do somebody, you can
- 46:25Speaker 1: meet me any place. Well, I've been man. You know,
- 46:28Speaker 1: as a matter of fact, I can go anywhere I
- 46:30Speaker 1: want it in this town. If I be at your
- 46:32Speaker 1: house talking to your wife, if the path asked me
- 46:34Speaker 1: to go, I'm gonna be there. Okay. How you you know?
- 46:38Speaker 1: You just you know it's you're like a stupid brother. Okay.
- 46:41Speaker 1: You need to come to church to the one. You
- 46:45Speaker 1: need to come to church more off. And that's the problem.
- 46:48Speaker 1: You don't come to church more often. If you come
- 46:50Speaker 1: to church more off, you wouldn't be talking to me
- 46:52Speaker 1: like that. You wouldn't be worried about me and your
- 46:54Speaker 1: wife because it must be something wrong at your house.
- 46:57Speaker 1: You'd be worried about me fooling with your wife. Okay,
- 47:01Speaker 1: So you need to check home. Okay, you need to
- 47:03Speaker 1: check How about that? Why don't you do that? Why
- 47:05Speaker 1: don't you why don't you just check up? Okay, Tommy said,

- 47:12Speaker 1: I know who Tommy Hammy said you, Tommy said, you're

- 51:42Speaker 1: this man comes up to me, seemingly out of nowhere,
- 51:46Speaker 1: but he wasn't. Anyway. He comes up to me and
- 51:48Speaker 1: he kind of whispers in my ear. Stevie Wonder would
- 51:52Speaker 1: like to speak to me. Oh yeah, yeah, that was
- 51:55Speaker 1: my exact reaction, Carla. I was like, ha, Stevie one
- 52:00Speaker 1: of wasn't talk to me. I was nervous, nervous, nervous,
- 52:04Speaker 1: But you know, I had to go rogue. I had
- 52:06Speaker 1: to go and find out what Stevie wanted to say
- 52:09Speaker 1: to me. All right, So this man took me by
- 52:13Speaker 1: the arm, took me to Stevie Wonder. Stevie Wonder wanted
- 52:20Speaker 1: me to escort him on stage. You know, Stevie always
- 52:26Speaker 1: has someone escort him on the stage. He picked me
- 52:29Speaker 1: that night. Yeah. Oh my god, oh my god. He
- 52:36Speaker 1: didn't know who I was. He asked for me anyway,
- 52:40Speaker 1: don't try to kill my dream. Uh he knew it
- 52:47Speaker 1: was me, yes, yes, yes, yes, I know for sure.
- 52:51Speaker 1: But yeah, that was my go rogue story. I mean,
- 52:54Speaker 1: I ended up just escorting him on stage. When when
- 52:58Speaker 1: I left, he gave me a kiss and he got
- 53:00Speaker 1: on the piano. I think he started playing. Uh I don't.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Oh my god, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, all I do.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Maybe maybe that's what it was. But anyway, that that
- 53:11Speaker 1: was a moment for me. It really really was. So
- 53:14Speaker 1: check out this so cool? It really Oh god, I'll
- 53:18Speaker 1: never forget that I had on that sharp true stress girl,
- 53:21Speaker 1: I remember, girl. Anyway, go rogue, Go rogue, Go rogue
- 53:26Speaker 1: with the twenty twenty one Nissan Rogue. Who love it?
- 53:31Speaker 1: I know? I don't. I don't think Steve you knew
- 53:33Speaker 1: at first, because you were you were telling me to
- 53:35Speaker 1: get off the stage. What are you doing on stage
- 53:37Speaker 1: with Stevie Wonder? And I was like, he asked me
- 53:39Speaker 1: to come up here. I'm not just up here, oldire
- 53:42Speaker 1: Stevie wondered, Let me go on stage with him? Yeah,
- 53:46Speaker 1: I went rogue, all right. Today's Strawberry Letter is brought

- 54:20Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey
- 54:23Speaker 1: FM and click submit Strawberry Letter. We're ready, Steve, We're ready,
- 54:28Speaker 1: all right. Let's buggle up, hold on tight. We got
- 54:34Speaker 1: it for you. It's a Strawberry letter subject thanks for
- 54:38Speaker 1: having a child for my man, Dear Stephen Shirley. Let's
- 54:42Speaker 1: just get right to it. Here's my dilemma. I'm a
- 54:44Speaker 1: thirty eight year old woman and I've never wanted to
- 54:47Speaker 1: have children. Five years ago, I was in a great
- 54:50Speaker 1: relationship and we were talking about getting married. But he
- 54:53Speaker 1: wanted children and I did not, so we mutually decided
- 54:58Speaker 1: to end our relationship. We could not deny that we
- 55:01Speaker 1: were still in love with each other, so two years
- 55:04Speaker 1: after we broke up, we reconnected and have been seeing
- 55:07Speaker 1: each other off and on since then. While we've been
- 55:10Speaker 1: spending time together, he started a relationship with a new
- 55:14Speaker 1: woman and they had a child together, and he couldn't
- 55:17Speaker 1: be happier. He has told me that he wants to
- 55:20Speaker 1: marry the woman so that his child will have the
- 55:22Speaker 1: kind of upbringing he had with both parents present. I
- 55:26Speaker 1: truly believe now that he has a son he wanted,
- 55:29Speaker 1: he and I can get back together and get married.
- 55:32Speaker 1: He tells me every day that he loves me, so
- 55:35Speaker 1: why wouldn't he want to marry me instead of her?
- 55:38Speaker 1: If I were an evil woman, I could end it
- 55:42Speaker 1: all between him and this woman by telling her that
- 55:45Speaker 1: I've been with him this entire time they've been together.
- 55:48Speaker 1: I have lots of damaging proof that would definitely break
- 55:51Speaker 1: them up. Even though I did not want to have children,
- 55:55Speaker 1: I can help him raise his son. What do you
- 55:57Speaker 1: think I should do? Don't I deserve to be happy too? Well? Yeah,
- 56:01Speaker 1: everyone deserves to be happy, but not this way. Okay.
- 56:05Speaker 1: I just gotta tell you that it looks like you're done.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I mean, you're just the side piece in this relationship.
- 56:12Speaker 1: He has moved on from you to the woman he
- 56:15Speaker 1: wants to marry. And guess what, that woman is not you?
- 56:19Speaker 1: He said he wanted to marry that woman and not you. You.
- 56:22Speaker 1: You don't want to have children, He only has one child.
- 56:25Speaker 1: How do you know he doesn't want to have more children?
- 56:27Speaker 1: You didn't mention that in the letter? Did you you
- 56:29Speaker 1: think he's one and done? Well? They're smart, she really smart.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I didn't see that. Well, he may not. You know,
- 56:36Speaker 1: he may want to have another one and you still
- 56:39Speaker 1: don't want children. So there is no future in this
- 56:42Speaker 1: relationship with him. What you have with him is as
- 56:46Speaker 1: good as it's going to get with again, you being
- 56:49Speaker 1: the jump off. That's it. He told you he wanted
- 56:52Speaker 1: to marry this new woman. He didn't or hasn't told
- 56:55Speaker 1: you that he wanted to marry you lately, has he?
- 56:58Speaker 1: So I suggest you ask, you know, don't you deserve
- 57:01Speaker 1: to be happy? What do you think you should do? Well,
- 57:04Speaker 1: you need to get out of this situation because he
- 57:06Speaker 1: wants to marry someone else and have you on the side,
- 57:10Speaker 1: which is exactly what he's doing. Steve, Well, when we
- 57:14Speaker 1: come back and we'll break it down a little bit further.
- 57:16Speaker 1: I would really admire the point that you made though
- 57:19Speaker 1: this guy may want to have other children. Oh yeah,
- 57:23Speaker 1: she doesn't see this. But when I come back, don't
- 57:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what's really wrong. Bring it, bring
- 57:29Speaker 1: it up. All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response,
- 57:34Speaker 1: uh coming out. I'm gonna let him have it too. Now,
- 57:37Speaker 1: don't don't nobody be tight? Okay, okay, because I see
- 57:42Speaker 1: you know this, you know, thanks for having a child
- 57:45Speaker 1: for my man. Yeah, show you exact exactly, you'll see that.
- 57:54Speaker 1: All right. Well again, Steve, you're gonna bring it with
- 57:58Speaker 1: part two of your response coming up today a subject
- 58:01Speaker 1: thanks for having a child from my man. We'll be
- 58:04Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on,
- 58:10Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter, thanks for having a child
- 58:13Speaker 1: from my man. Well, I don't have to recap it
- 58:17Speaker 1: because I didn't respond to it. But I've just done.
- 58:21Speaker 1: This woman had a relationship with this guy. She's thirty
- 58:25Speaker 1: years old. She never wanted to have children. Five years ago,
- 58:28Speaker 1: she was in a great relationship talking about getting married,
- 58:31Speaker 1: but he wanted kid she didn't. So y'all decided the
- 58:34Speaker 1: end of relationship. But you still loved each other. So
- 58:37Speaker 1: two years later, after y'all broke up, y'all reconnected and
- 58:40Speaker 1: started seeing each other off and on. Since then, well,
- 58:43Speaker 1: while we've been spending time together, he started relationship. Now
- 58:47Speaker 1: see while we were spending time together, he started relationship
- 58:50Speaker 1: with a new woman. That's not true. That's not true, sees.
- 58:56Speaker 1: This is the first big lie in the letter. She
- 59:00Speaker 1: thinks that for two years this dude was sitting somewhere
- 59:05Speaker 1: sad and upset that they had broke up and wasn't
- 59:09Speaker 1: involved with nobody, So she writes in the letter, because
- 59:13Speaker 1: this is a self serving woman, while we were spending
- 59:15Speaker 1: time together, he started a relationship with a new woman. No,
- 59:19Speaker 1: he was in a relationship with the new you woman.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Then y'all started spending time together. They had a child together,
- 59:27Speaker 1: and he couldn't be happier. He told me he wants
- 59:30Speaker 1: to marry this woman so this child can have a
- 59:32Speaker 1: kind of upbringing he had with both parents. President Now
- 59:36Speaker 1: she believes that since she got son, he wanted down
- 59:38Speaker 1: to be able to get back together and getting married.
- 59:39Speaker 1: He tells me every day he loves me. Why wouldn't
- 59:41Speaker 1: want to be with me? If I were an even woman,
- 59:43Speaker 1: I could end this whole thing. Blah blah blah. Even
- 59:45Speaker 1: though I do not want to have children, I can
- 59:48Speaker 1: help him raise his sons. What do you think I
- 59:49Speaker 1: should do? I deserve to be happy to you will
- 59:53Speaker 1: never be happy destroying someone else's. Let's just start there.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: You'll never be happy destroying someone else's. You're the most
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: self serving person I've heard from in a long time. You, lady,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: you are what's the word is narcissist? Yeah, it's that
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: the word You just like the president. It's all about you. See,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: So now you didn't want to have children, but you
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: think since he has a child, you could help him
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: raise his son. You don't even want no damn kids, right,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: so what's gonna make you the great mother? All of
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a sudden? You still don't want kids, But now you
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: think you're gonna turn into the super mom over the
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: woman who had the baby. Are you kidding me? Are
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: you kidding me? You're very self serving. You didn't want children,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: so you didn't want children, so you broke up. You
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: couldn't say, you know what, we love each other enough,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: we should share a child. Now it's always about you.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I don't want to handle kid, So we break up.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Two years later, y'all reconnect. Now Here in a relationship
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you can believe that ain't a man sitting on the
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: sideline two years trying to get over No damn body,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: We get over women with women. Hello, we get over
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: women with women sitting up in the house sucking the thumb,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: because you're gonna we'll do that for a little while,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: but we're gonna take this thumb sucking and turn it
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: into something. Hello. Now he wants the family, she said,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: he wants to marry this girl who had the baby
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: because he wants the baby to have the same family
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: he had grown up, both parents present. You don't give
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: a damn about that. You want that to split up.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Damn the again, you show exactly why you don't need children,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: because you want to take this opportunity for this child
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: to have a family in structure that this womanan wants
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: to create with this woman because you want to just
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: be here so you won't break that up, so you
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: can help raise a child that you don't even won't
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: you don't even want kids, but so you could be happy,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: you want to break it up. Now, you say you
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: could break them up because you got some evidence, pictures,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: text all his Hell, yeah, you could do that. You
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: could break them up. But let me ask you a question.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: You don't think that he'll remember that. You don't think
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: that when y'all sitting around having a couple of arguments.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: You don't think that when y'all sitting up trying to
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: make these bills work. You don't think when real life
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: kicking with a honeymoon section is over. You don't think
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: he gonna remember the fact that you sent some pictures
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: that destroyed what he really wanted to have. Now he
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: over there with you with a baby that you don't won't.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: You do not want children his. You don't even want
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: your own. If you don't want your own children, how
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: to hell you're supposed to want somebody else's. I'm just
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: ask so one more time. You are the most served,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: self serving woman. And like Shirley said, suppose this man
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: want to have another child. You ain't it again, you're out.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Then you you deserve to be happy too. We'll go
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: find you a man that don't wan't no kids. It's
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: a bunch of him. But go back to chapter two,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: verse eighteen. We get over get over women with other women. Man,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: We don't hey, how we don't side, We don't go therapy. No,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: we don't go up in the mountains to find ourselves.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Now we get another one of y'all who can do
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: the same thing. Y'all do make me feel like you do.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: And we go to getting over it just like that. Man,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: we gotta soaking, no tub, drinking no wine, getting no
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: good book, going to girls trust while we go to
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Vegas and fixed it. They don't discount the sucking in
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: the tub and all of that. Now that's good stuff
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: right here, me discounting for a man. If your man
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: soaking a tub to find himself with somebody crying in
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: our wine and all that, that's all good. My father
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: called me soaking. He just broke up with somebody. When
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: candles I get, is that your toes come out of
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: baby bumble? Man, I'm trying to get over something. Man,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Leave me alone. Man reading act like a lady thing
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: like a man. I'm gonna do something. Leave me alone,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: dog dog, we're on the way to Vegas. We can
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: help you get over it, all right, Guys, we gotta
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: get out of here. Email us your Instagram, i's your
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: thoughts on today's robbery letter and Steve Harvey at them.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve show time for something funny? Junior. You're ready, Yeah,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I'm ready. Holidays is coming, and so you got people
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: that's coming with somebody you've never met. What you've heard about. Now.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I got a cousin, got this girl who's giving him
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: all these problems, and I just thought about it. She'll
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: be told. The crazy they are, the more ways you
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: try to defend them to your family, I ain't never
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: met the girl with about to meet the old Thanksgiving
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: like stuff like this, like okay, I heard dog that
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: she tried to smother you with the pillar. Yeah don't.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: We started them off playing and forever. Then it got serious.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: But then you ain't ever been you ain't ever been
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: smothering before. You ain't never been smolling before, play with
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: and trying to smother you? Yea? Or this one or
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: this one dog Dog, I heard she raised about the
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: back seat of your car you try to leave. Yeah,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: she raised about the back seat. She was concerned by
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: where I was going. There ever, had nobody that was
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: concerned by where you be? I mean, don love let
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: her love me, miss do. The crazier they are, the
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: more they try to defend them to us. I can't
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: get to meet the girl like like Darne wasn't about you.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: She shot at you, Yeah, she shot it. She shot
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: at me because she was concerned I was messing up.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I heard that good shot. I got right back in.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I mean, ain't nobody else shot at you before? No, darning,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: ain't nobody else shot it up? Okay, he didn't get
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: about to shoot you for you speak on this sub
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: shot at I'm just I can't wait to meet her.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Just the crazier they are, the harder they gonna defend
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: them to their fa I can't wait to see this girl.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Alwa would have some fun this thing. And that's truth
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: being told. I'm just that was good. That was a
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: true junior. Yeah, defended. Everybody got on you. I mean
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I was taking the bath in the tub. Then she
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: came in and pushed my head under water. But but
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: she left me under a little too low. I choked
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: a little bit. But you ain't never been held under
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: water under your No, everybody did that. We don't speak
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: on that. Then tell you walking my shoes, Ye, tell
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: me it was just a cut. She stabbed, really stabbed
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: the knighting all the way in all the way. It's
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: just a cut. We're just just a surface on thirty
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: two stitches. That's it. Yeah, coming up more of the
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You might have a relative at Thanksgiving. Who,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: um what, Yeah, I got a little something because you
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: know Thanksgivings coming up, and I just want to remind
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: you all to be conscious of the people that's in
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: your house. These are just a few different types of
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: people that you might have, and they're usually relatives. Now,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: these are all relatives. Some of them you've seen in
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: a while, some recently. Some people you ain't seen anywhile.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: But these are relatives that you might have a Thanksgiving gathered. H.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Here's the first one. You might have a relative, dad
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: that's been done some hard times. Yeah, well so I'm familiar.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Here is another one. You might have a relative. Damn
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: that's got don't work clothes, but don't have a job.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: You got pepsi uniform here, got on the mill of
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: high life driving. Got a damn post office uniform on
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: your han't start working on post office. Yeah. Here's another
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: relative that you might have at Thanksgiving. H gather one
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: of them that stole from their mama. So now you
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: gotta watch every damn move they mate. Yeah, let him
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: go in that back room. Do not let him go
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: in there. Here's another relative that you might have over
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: on Thanksgiving, mister black power one hunder, but he's married
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: to a white girl. To the People's another relative that
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: you might have over the Thanksgiving dinner. You got one
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: the relatives got a brand new car. But what don't
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: nobody know is he's sleeping in the car because he
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: ain't got place to live. Here is the relative we
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: all got, all of us got this one. Ain't gonna
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: bring a damn thing, but gonna pack six to go plates. Yes,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I can't stand there and I can't stand he go.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: The other one, you one of your relatives gonna bring
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: some kids and Thanksgiving that need their ass will, but
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: you can't do nothing about it because they ain't chills
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: be a whole trap. That's all of us in there,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: just throwing punch on each other, just dipping into punch
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: both it on each other. Black cass. But yeah, table
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: is dangerous. Can't read? Yeah, wait what you know? The kids?
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Well do all that working, but can't read. Yeah, damn
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: show can't read. Cursed right, the show can't do that? Yeah,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: And you ever had the relatives come over to your
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: house that ain't nobody invite, but somehow they found out
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: where everybody was. Yes, wonder where y'all. Oh wow, you
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: got the relative here, the relative to come over, swat
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: swam them down. They don't eat pork, but just hand
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: up the greens that got park in them. Yes, yea,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: that would be a hall mall parting of that, right,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: last one, this relative I had on one year. I
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: made sure his ass don't come back no more. Found
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: his ass in the guest room, fast asleep, not on
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: top of the bed, but under the clothes. When you
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: wake your front house up, I bet you are. Oh yeah, dog,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: oh dog, I would him, says in the guest room,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: he was in the bed. Dog under took his clothes.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: All right, thank you for that. Coming up next. More
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: You're listening Steven Show. What are some of the strange
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: things you're strange habits some Thanksgiving. I have a relative
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: that's supposedly um which one is it Jehovah's witness or
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: seven ad minutes one? You know they don't eat meat.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: But this particularly is that there was meeting the greens
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: and she she had already been like half played in
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: you know, yes, yes, And my mom said, Annie, you
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: know there's meeting in greens. She went, huh and keV
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: eating lives, all lives because the dreams were good, right,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: so good. Let me tell y'all something I gotta relative.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: I got a cousin that will eat everything in one bowl.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: But but ja jay the twist to it all. He
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: may have a dressing, a cram bear sauce, got some
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: turkey laid across it. Everybody understand that that makes sense,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: right yeah? Right next to it is a scoop of
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: vanilla ice cream, right man? All together? Yeah, But I'm
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: looking at him like, you please tell me you're not
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: gonna use my bathroom while you here, please? Then you
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: got that relative time, and that you know they're complaining
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: because my food is touching I don't want Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I know people like that. Yeah, people like that. And
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: you know what to j A lot of kids when
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: you're making their plates, they don't want them to touch that.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: That's why you gotta have them paper places called with
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: them dividers in it for the kid. But the kids, yes, kid,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: keep that. Tell me you're talking big money paper places.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I'm talking about place with they gotta weight with wiming
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: on it. Coming up, more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Steve J. Anthony Brown, who you've asked to be ignorant today,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: is here with phrases that will break up a friendship. Basically,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: these are roommate rules, and when you got on your own,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: you might have to get a roommate the branch out.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: But there's some rules you should live by if you
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: get a roommate. First room, If you don't put it
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: in the fridge, damn it, don't take it out the fridge.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: How about that? Yeah, at work, the same thing, same thing.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: You and your significant others should not haug the living room.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Take that nasty stuff to your bedroom. Okay, all right,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: people live here. Other people live here too, all right.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Don't go in your roommate's room for a damn thing. Okay,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: why are you in here? What you're doing in here?
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Ain't nothing here for you. If your girlfriend or your
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: boyfriend like eggs, bacon, cheese, alcohol or whatever, cereal, make
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: sure they bring it with their ass when they come over. Okay.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: If if that's what they like, ain't room, make sure
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: make sure they got that in the bag when they
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: come in the door. Okay, that's all I'm saying. If
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: your boyfriend for the lady, if your boyfriend man man
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: likes to play video game, you need a big screen
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: TV for his ass in your room. Okay. But this
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: is this is a good rule right here. We all
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: sh you to buy a body. Nobody who is a
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: roommate is allowed to date anybody that's been to prison. Nobody.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: You gotta make sure your room, you know, you gotta,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: you gotta check all your stuff off because he no,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: we can't. All right, if you got a Christian roommate
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: and you're not a Christian, let me tell you Christian something.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Who ever sleeps with, who who ever sleeps with, dain't
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: your damn benes. Okay, okay, doesn't land and judge me.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: If the rent is due on the foast, the foight
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: we read and the pay the rent. We don't want
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: to rent on the second third, four, fifth, six, seven, eight, ninth, tenth, eleven, twelve, thirteenth, fourteen, fifteenth, sixteen, seventeen, eighteenth, nineteen, twenty,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: twenty one, twenty two, six, twenty seven, twenty eight, twenty nine,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: thirty we wanted on the foet. Okay, Okay, alright, Thank you, Javi.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Those roommate rules. All right, we're coming back with more
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. As a matter of fact,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: this is our last break of the day. Steve's closing remarks,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you don't want to miss it. It's been a good day.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: We'll be back at forty nine after the hour. Right
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: All right, time to go row, which is powered by
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: the super silish Rogue. Steve, please quickly tell us about
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: when going rogue turned out to be just right for you.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: I mean, look, I can point to so many incidents,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: but I think probably the greatest, one of the greatest
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: moments for me was a teacher of mine, not just one,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: but this one in tarticulate. But I've heard just repeat
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: it in my life several times, you ain't gonna ever
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: be nothing. And I just think oftentimes about how many
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: times I heard that you ain't gonna ever be nothing.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Look at you. I kept people kept telling me what
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: I wouldn't what. Nobody trying to figure out what I was,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: but they were so fast to tell me what I Wasn't.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: You ain't that smart, You ain't that good? Looking. You
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: ain't that, you talk too slow, you country, You ain't this,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: You ain't got the right attitude, you got right? Whoa
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: does anybody have any idea what I am? Though? While
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: you telling me what I'm not, So when this teacher
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: kept repeating, you ain't gonna ever be nothing, I did
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: say back to him one time, this man, he said,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: you ain't gonna ever be nothing. I said, I know
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna be something. And so then I made the decision,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: through several moments in my life, to always constantly be
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: about the business of trying to be something. It may
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: not be what you think I'm gonna be, and I
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: may not turn out to be what you expect me
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: to be, but I'm gonna stay faithful. I'm gonna keep
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: working hard. I'm going roll on you, Pardner, I'm gonna
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: go against the grain. I'm gonna make a hard left.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I wouldn't right here. I am roll behind. This is
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: live roll, I'm roking all right, Role is roll? All right, Steve,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: We're ready for the closing remarks. This is uh for everybody,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: including myself. This is for anyone who aspires to get
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: more or to have more, to be blessed more to
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: acquire more. How do you want to look at it.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Here's a deal. All of our lives, we live our
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: lives in bubbles, so to speak. This is just an
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: analogy everybody. We all live our lives in the bubbles.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: And what I mean by bubble is not a negative thing. Instead,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I'm saying, this is the space that we operate in.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: This is the gym we go to. This is the
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Starbucks that we like. This is the church that we
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: like to go to. These are some of our favorite
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: restaurants we like to frequent. This is where we go
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: with relations of our relatives and all of this. These
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: is our clubs we go to for drinks and stuff
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: like that. This is the school we attend. This is
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: where we got a gym membership. This is where we
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: socialize and live. That's what I mean by bubble. Now
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: here's the deal. If you want more, then what's in
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: your bubble? Then what you have to do is put
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: more air in your bubble. It don't bust, it expands,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: but you got to breathe more air into it. How
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: do you breathe more air into your bubble? Steve, you
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: gotta start dreaming bigger. You gotta start wanting bigger. You
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: gotta start keeping hope alive. You gotta hope for more
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: now you gotta be willing to put the work behind it.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: But in order to expand your bubble, you got to
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: breathe some air into the bubble. You got to put
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: something inny whereas not the same old church, the same
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: old Starbucks, the same old restaurant, the same old club,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: the same old gym. You've got to breathe some air
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: into that bubble. Expand your bubble. I'm talking to myself.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: As good as a bubble as I have. I would
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: like to be able to do some other things. Believe
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: it or not, there's limitations to what I can do.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: You may be looking at me to my wow, man,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: what you got a limitation on? You balling? You ain't
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: talking about that. There are still things I want in life.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: There's more to this. So if I want more, including myself,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I got to breathe more and to the bubble. The
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: bubble is yours to control. That's the beauty of it.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: You have a say, soul in what what size bubble
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: you got. You ain't got to keep going to the
