- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all sit looking back to back down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like them bu bus things and it's good. Steve
- 0:22Speaker 1: has to mother sty don't join You gotta use that turn.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out, to turn the water the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back, uh I show? Well, good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and all is Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:13Speaker 1: particular me this morning. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:18Speaker 1: feel with nothing but joy and hope about it too.
- 2:21Speaker 1: You know, it's a great thing to be able to
- 2:23Speaker 1: wake up in the morning with peace in your heart
- 2:26Speaker 1: and joy. Peace and joy is is immeasurable. It has
- 2:31Speaker 1: a value attached to it, and I have no idea
- 2:34Speaker 1: what it is. It's invaluable. It is worth so much
- 2:37Speaker 1: more than any amount of money you can make. Peace
- 2:41Speaker 1: and joy. I have not always had that. I have
- 2:46Speaker 1: not always been a peaceful person or a person who
- 2:50Speaker 1: lived his life in a joy spirit. It took an
- 2:54Speaker 1: arrival at this moment. Some people arrive sooner than others.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I wish I had arrived at this point sooner, but
- 3:04Speaker 1: I think it was necessary for me to learn a
- 3:06Speaker 1: few things too. That's the amazing thing I've learned about
- 3:10Speaker 1: life is that instead of reflecting on your past incidences
- 3:17Speaker 1: and calling them failures, instead of focusing on the negative
- 3:21Speaker 1: and calling them bad times, I look at them now
- 3:27Speaker 1: as experiences. I had to have those experiences that were negative,
- 3:32Speaker 1: that were good, positive, wrong, even I had to have
- 3:37Speaker 1: all those experiences to become to shape who we are today.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We all have to have them. If you look back
- 3:46Speaker 1: at all the negative experiences you've had, all the things
- 3:51Speaker 1: that you called failures, all the businesses I started that
- 3:55Speaker 1: went under, all of the jobs I had that I
- 3:57Speaker 1: was fired from, all the show that were canceled, all
- 4:01Speaker 1: of the times I thought I was gonna get something
- 4:05Speaker 1: happened in my way and turned out I didn't get
- 4:07Speaker 1: it at all. When you look at all of it,
- 4:10Speaker 1: all of it, hopefully along the way, what you have
- 4:13Speaker 1: done as a person is you've taken those negatives and
- 4:17Speaker 1: those failures and you've used them for what they actually are.
- 4:21Speaker 1: They are experiences, and they've now created in you an
- 4:26Speaker 1: experienced person, and you know that is worth something. That's
- 4:33Speaker 1: then it becomes a positive. But what too many people
- 4:37Speaker 1: do is they let the negative things that have happened
- 4:40Speaker 1: in their life. They allow the failures that have happened
- 4:43Speaker 1: in them lives never to manifest themselves as experiences. And
- 4:47Speaker 1: you sit up there and you dwell on it, and
- 4:50Speaker 1: you dwell on it until you have this woe is
- 4:53Speaker 1: me attitude. Stop looking at it like that, y'all. You
- 4:57Speaker 1: go through things in order to become the person that
- 5:00Speaker 1: you are today. I'll tell you who you sometimes have
- 5:03Speaker 1: to sit down and talk to. Sometimes you are to
- 5:05Speaker 1: sit down to an inmate that really gets it, an
- 5:09Speaker 1: inmate that says, man, I've actually heard inmates say it
- 5:12Speaker 1: to me and write to me, and they've said things like, man,
- 5:17Speaker 1: coming to prison, save my life. Now those of you
- 5:20Speaker 1: have never gone, how can he say a thing like that?
- 5:22Speaker 1: But some men, no, Man, I was so far out
- 5:25Speaker 1: there that if I had stayed out there, I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 1: even be here today. This actually allowed me to stop
- 5:31Speaker 1: and spend some time with myself and learn some things
- 5:34Speaker 1: about me. Now does that happen for everybody like that? Now?
- 5:37Speaker 1: But here's a person who was taking an experience that
- 5:40Speaker 1: could be considered a failure or a negative and turning
- 5:43Speaker 1: it into a positive and using it to enrich their lives.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You can do it no matter what your set of
- 5:49Speaker 1: circumstances is. I recommend to everybody that you try changing
- 5:54Speaker 1: your outlook in order to change your outcome. Everything that
- 5:57Speaker 1: happens to you that's negative or you can a failure
- 6:00Speaker 1: their experiences. You've got to go through these things in
- 6:03Speaker 1: order to have the knowledge that you have today. So
- 6:06Speaker 1: I wish that I had come to this arrival that
- 6:09Speaker 1: I mean now, this place of peace and joy. But
- 6:12Speaker 1: then guess what, I would not know what I know.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I could not share some of the things that I'm
- 6:18Speaker 1: able to share if I had not gone through some
- 6:20Speaker 1: of them. And sometimes that's the purpose of them is
- 6:23Speaker 1: to teach you a lesson because you know, God has
- 6:25Speaker 1: a plan for you. He really really does, and eventually
- 6:29Speaker 1: he can use you no matter how old you are,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and he can use you no matter how young you are.
- 6:34Speaker 1: If you just say, Okay, I'm ready to hear your plan.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I've tried mine, mine ain't worked out. What's your plan
- 6:41Speaker 1: for me? God, what do you want me to do?
- 6:44Speaker 1: That's why I say every day. Steve already got radio
- 6:47Speaker 1: show y'all, because man, I ain't see it coming. I
- 6:50Speaker 1: didn't see that coming. I ain't see this book coming.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I ain't seen I ain't seen it. Half of the
- 6:54Speaker 1: amazing things that are happened to me, I didn't plan them.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I was sitting there, man, asking God for some direction.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And then I got smart enough to stay watchful, be
- 7:05Speaker 1: a hard worker now because faithful, our works is dead,
- 7:08Speaker 1: and it came. And I remind you of this. God
- 7:11Speaker 1: has given all of you a gift. Every last one
- 7:14Speaker 1: of you listening has a gift. God has never created
- 7:17Speaker 1: a soul that he did not provide a gift to.
- 7:20Speaker 1: God gives everyone a gift, and a gift is not
- 7:23Speaker 1: just singing, rapping entertainment. The richer gifts are much more
- 7:28Speaker 1: than that. Teachers are gifted people who really have the
- 7:32Speaker 1: gift of sharing information. That's a gift, you know, and
- 7:37Speaker 1: in that you can become great. You know a lot
- 7:43Speaker 1: of people people think that successful and greatness is the
- 7:46Speaker 1: same thing. Cornell West said it at my daughter's graduation.
- 7:50Speaker 1: He was a spokesperson. He said something so pointed. He said,
- 7:53Speaker 1: don't ever confuse success with greatness. The two have nothing
- 7:57Speaker 1: to do with each other. But determined success about money
- 8:01Speaker 1: and fame and all this here, but greatness. Greatness ain't
- 8:05Speaker 1: got nothing to do with your money. It ain't got
- 8:07Speaker 1: nothing to do with your fame. It's how you conduct
- 8:10Speaker 1: your life. It's how meaningful and significant you become in
- 8:14Speaker 1: your community, at your church, on your job, to the
- 8:18Speaker 1: cub Scout unit that you run, to the little girls
- 8:21Speaker 1: lives that you change, that that little center in the hood.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Who are you just one place of hope to so
- 8:27Speaker 1: many people and they come back. And I used example
- 8:29Speaker 1: of Lou Danzler who passed away in La, who had
- 8:32Speaker 1: the Boys and Girls Challenges Club out in La. And
- 8:35Speaker 1: he wasn't a rich man at all, and if you
- 8:38Speaker 1: walk by him, you wouldn't even know who he was.
- 8:40Speaker 1: But if you look at all the people who have
- 8:42Speaker 1: gone on to become politicians, who have gone on to
- 8:45Speaker 1: become CEO's, who have gone on to become athletes, that
- 8:49Speaker 1: have passed through this man's small building in the hood
- 8:52Speaker 1: in La, he was a great trust me man prad
- 8:57Speaker 1: changes things. I said all the time. But when you
- 8:59Speaker 1: see people become successful or great that somebody praying somewhere
- 9:03Speaker 1: may not even beat them, maybe it's day Mama. You know,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I think of Tiger Woods and all the greatness he's accomplished.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You know they always talk about as farther than all
- 9:11Speaker 1: this here, somebody somewhere praying for Tiger Woods. I got
- 9:16Speaker 1: cash money riding on that Tiger Woods. Mama is a
- 9:19Speaker 1: praying woman or something. My mother was. She prayed me
- 9:22Speaker 1: into this place because she should call me all the time.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Praying for your boy, and prayer changes things. It really does.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Try it today. It can change you. It has changed
- 9:33Speaker 1: millions of people. Open up yourself to the greatness that's
- 9:36Speaker 1: in you, because God is giving you a gift. Now
- 9:39Speaker 1: the fact that you ain't using it. Who fought you
- 9:41Speaker 1: think that is? I'm just telling you you got one,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and if you start praying about it, it'll manifest itself
- 9:49Speaker 1: and you can become one or two things, successful or
- 9:52Speaker 1: great or both. You can make the decision to date show.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have it your undivided attention.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It's frid to everybody, now listen to me. Normally that
- 10:10Speaker 1: would do something to you. You've been looking forward to
- 10:13Speaker 1: the weekend, boy, but not no more. Things have changed
- 10:18Speaker 1: Friday with jet like Wednesday, hump Day, with jail like Monday.
- 10:23Speaker 1: This weekend is just an elongated This is just week up.

- 10:55Speaker 1: in the building. Jathan and Brown. When your Easter outfit
- 10:59Speaker 1: is still in the damn closet, put it on. It's
- 11:05Speaker 1: the same, ye, nephew, Thomas, straight up stupid. I'm in
- 11:12Speaker 1: the building. What's up? Hey, guys? Before we get started,
- 11:15Speaker 1: I got a very important note from a from a
- 11:19Speaker 1: huge superstar talent, and I want to read it to

- 22:49Speaker 1: social distance or whatever. Sir, I don't know if I
- 22:53Speaker 1: don't know, if I got a stept on your grass running,
- 22:56Speaker 1: I don't know what's the problem. Um. But yeah, I've
- 22:59Speaker 1: been joying for years and you know that's just my route.
- 23:03Speaker 1: So um it is there a way you can change?
- 23:07Speaker 1: Is there a way you can change your route? Why
- 23:09Speaker 1: would I do that? Because, like I say, it's social distancing.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You know, some of this stuff is not on the
- 23:15Speaker 1: bottom of people's shoes. You know that you can you
- 23:19Speaker 1: can leave that. That's not listening. I'm so sorry. I'm
- 23:21Speaker 1: gonna cut you off, but there's a lot of s
- 23:23Speaker 1: on the news right now that's not accurate. You have
- 23:25Speaker 1: nothing to worry about, especially if we haven't even matched.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You don't see me. I'm just running by. I'm not
- 23:30Speaker 1: hanging out outside of your home or anything. When you
- 23:33Speaker 1: run by? How do I know it's not coming out
- 23:35Speaker 1: of you when you run by? How do I know
- 23:37Speaker 1: that we'll then talk to your doctor about that. I'm
- 23:40Speaker 1: not a doctor. But I have to exercise. And okay,
- 23:43Speaker 1: but and I understand you got to excite, But can
- 23:45Speaker 1: you exercise somewhere else? I press you watch my whole
- 23:49Speaker 1: sidewalking driveway only because you'll keep running past here. You
- 23:53Speaker 1: got me? What's your doing? Number? You don't need to
- 23:56Speaker 1: know my address? Man, you don't need to know that.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Don't don't worry about your address. I don't know what
- 24:01Speaker 1: house I need to avoid. How about you just stay
- 24:04Speaker 1: awful street? How about that? No, I'm not gonna do that.
- 24:07Speaker 1: This call is absolutely just ridiculous. You can't ask me.
- 24:11Speaker 1: You can't call me right now under all the pressure
- 24:13Speaker 1: everyone's going through asking me not to run. You can run,
- 24:16Speaker 1: but just run somewhere else. Don't run a street. This
- 24:20Speaker 1: is what I'm asking. I'm starting to feel really attacked.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm not okay with this. I'm not gonna stop running.
- 24:25Speaker 1: You're not gonna scare me off into into Do I
- 24:29Speaker 1: need to call to put? Do I need to call
- 24:31Speaker 1: the police for this? I can call the law. What
- 24:33Speaker 1: are you going to call the police? What are you
- 24:35Speaker 1: going to I'm running. You are not practicing social distance
- 24:40Speaker 1: that's what they see. When have I? When the hell
- 24:42Speaker 1: have I seen? Can I practice social distancing? What are
- 24:45Speaker 1: you talking about? Why don't you run out? Why don't
- 24:48Speaker 1: you run into? Why don't you run in the street
- 24:50Speaker 1: and not on my sidewalk? How about you, dude like
- 24:52Speaker 1: that you don't own the sidewalk. I want you to
- 24:55Speaker 1: understand that you don't own that. You can't tell me
- 24:56Speaker 1: where to run where not to run. If I'm not
- 24:58Speaker 1: on your problem, I'm play. I pay taxes like every
- 25:02Speaker 1: other person around, So do I and so do I.
- 25:05Speaker 1: But I'm getting really pissed off right now, and I'm
- 25:08Speaker 1: gonna let you know. I will not stop running. You
- 25:09Speaker 1: will not intimidate me. And if you call me against
- 25:12Speaker 1: and try to scare me off, I'm not trying to
- 25:15Speaker 1: scare you. I'm trying to tell you. What you are
- 25:17Speaker 1: doing is jeopardize and other people. You are on the sidewalk,
- 25:21Speaker 1: that is on your shoes, that is in your chest,
- 25:25Speaker 1: and you are blowing all that got your throat. It's
- 25:28Speaker 1: what you're doing. You are an idiot. You are missing
- 25:31Speaker 1: and missing formed and you don't know what you're talking about.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Asking for my number, don't ever call me again. Or
- 25:35Speaker 1: I'll call the tweet on you for harassment. I don't
- 25:38Speaker 1: know who you listen. If we can't come to an agreement,
- 25:42Speaker 1: then I'm anna block the sidewalk off. Nobody gonna be
- 25:46Speaker 1: walking on it. Oh okay, well, then you can just
- 25:48Speaker 1: deal with the city because that's not my problem. You are.
- 25:51Speaker 1: How do you try to bloss the whole damn street
- 25:53Speaker 1: and you see how that works out for you? What?
- 25:55Speaker 1: Why do you insist on giving this to other people
- 25:57Speaker 1: on your shoes and blowing out your mouth and you
- 26:01Speaker 1: you're so close to people houses. I'm an older man.
- 26:04Speaker 1: I'm an older man. I don't need that. But I
- 26:06Speaker 1: don't even know who the hell you are. I told
- 26:09Speaker 1: you what I called. My name is mister Johnny for
- 26:11Speaker 1: everybody call me mister. Okay, So, mister, I'm just gonna
- 26:15Speaker 1: tell you, I'm not gonna stop running if I see anybody.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna continue to practice social distancing, but you will
- 26:21Speaker 1: not intimidate me into changing my route. I'm not doing that. Well,
- 26:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you this. If your black is on
- 26:26Speaker 1: my sidewalk, I'm gonna take my pressure washer and I'm
- 26:29Speaker 1: gonna pressure wash them damn shoes. That. I know it's nasty.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I know that nasty when you come up and down
- 26:34Speaker 1: my sidewalk. I know thee what you know what? This
- 26:37Speaker 1: is escalated Now I'm calling my husband. I'm calling the police. Mister,
- 26:41Speaker 1: you're gonna hear from a lawyer. You're never ever gonna
- 26:43Speaker 1: have this conversation with me again, because you are a
- 26:45Speaker 1: piece of s. Do you hear me? You're a piece
- 26:48Speaker 1: of sh I'm he you call me, mister, And if
- 26:51Speaker 1: you bring your husband around here, I'm a pressure washing too. Okay,
- 26:54Speaker 1: we'll see about that and I can intimidate us. Let
- 26:58Speaker 1: me ask Let me ask you this here. Do you
- 26:59Speaker 1: have a cousin named Danielle. Danielle give you my number?
- 27:06Speaker 1: You do know Danielle? Right? Yeah, What the Danielle has
- 27:10Speaker 1: to do with this? Danyelle is the person that told
- 27:13Speaker 1: me to give you a call and prank phone call you.
- 27:15Speaker 1: This is nephew timed me from the Steve Harvey Martin show.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Dominice Yo cousin. Oh my god, oh my god, I

- 29:47Speaker 1: Gonna Share High. He's helping raise money for the World
- 29:50Speaker 1: Health Organization during the COVID nineteen pandemic. Let's find out
- 29:54Speaker 1: more about his new single than all these other projects.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to Sexiest Man A Lie.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Mister John Legend, give it to you. Say that such
- 30:10Speaker 1: a such a strong chuckle every time you say it.
- 30:13Speaker 1: You know that you know what it need job, dude,
- 30:16Speaker 1: you know man, you know dudes gonna hate all of it.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It's a rule. Seriously, all of the women going, oh, yeah,
- 30:25Speaker 1: I see it. But the dude, our job is to
- 30:29Speaker 1: wonder why it hate us. We were happy for you, John, though,
- 30:36Speaker 1: really appreciate how you've been feeling. Man, I've been all right,
- 30:42Speaker 1: you know. We really have been staying home. So we've
- 30:44Speaker 1: been just hanging out with the kids. They I think
- 30:47Speaker 1: they like it more than anybody because they get to
- 30:49Speaker 1: hang out with us all the time and they're at
- 30:52Speaker 1: that age where they want to be around us all
- 30:53Speaker 1: the time. Now, when they're older, they'll probably be annoyed
- 30:56Speaker 1: with it's tired of us, don't think we cool, But
- 30:58Speaker 1: right now they think we're the this thing, and so
- 31:00Speaker 1: they're so happy. Wow, they're so cute. They are so Yeah, John,
- 31:07Speaker 1: it's gonna come a point where they're going to think
- 31:09Speaker 1: you're not cool. You'll still be cool, yeah, exactly if
- 31:14Speaker 1: they won't thinking. Hey, man, let's talk about this man,
- 31:18Speaker 1: because we're on the show. You got a new single.
- 31:21Speaker 1: It's called Actions, and it's available now. Tell us about
- 31:24Speaker 1: the new music, man. So the new song. It was
- 31:27Speaker 1: produced by a guy named Oak Felder who's done a
- 31:29Speaker 1: lot of hits that you know and love, but We
- 31:32Speaker 1: sampled a song called The Edge by David McCallum, but
- 31:37Speaker 1: you'll recognize it as the same sample that Doctor dre
- 31:41Speaker 1: used with Snoop on the song called Next Episode. So
- 31:44Speaker 1: we use that sample, but we flipped it and made
- 31:47Speaker 1: an R and B song out of it. And the
- 31:49Speaker 1: song the chorus says, action speak louder than love songs
- 31:53Speaker 1: because you know I can talk a good game, I
- 31:55Speaker 1: can write a romantic song. But you know, we always
- 31:58Speaker 1: say I can speak louder than words. But for me,
- 32:03Speaker 1: the appropriate way to say it is action speak louder
- 32:07Speaker 1: than love songs. Because you can write all these romantic
- 32:10Speaker 1: songs all you want, but if you're not backing it
- 32:12Speaker 1: up with action, then it doesn't mean anything, sir. That's
- 32:20Speaker 1: the message, man. That's that's really great man. When do
- 32:23Speaker 1: you uh? When does the album supposed to be released?
- 32:27Speaker 1: It's gonna come. I think it's coming in the first
- 32:29Speaker 1: week of June. We're just trying to work everything out,
- 32:31Speaker 1: make sure we get everything finished. I haven't been in
- 32:34Speaker 1: the studio since we started h Social Distancing, but I
- 32:38Speaker 1: recorded all my vocals beforehand, and I don't actually need
- 32:42Speaker 1: to go back in. But we still need to mix,
- 32:44Speaker 1: and we got a couple of old things we need
- 32:46Speaker 1: to overdub and edit, so we're trying to do all
- 32:50Speaker 1: that remotely. But I think we're gonna get it done
- 32:52Speaker 1: in time to get it out first week of June,
- 32:55Speaker 1: and uh okay, we got some heat, man. I can't
- 32:58Speaker 1: wait for y'all to hear it. Hey, well, let's do it.
- 33:00Speaker 1: They set it up, John, let's play the new single.
- 33:02Speaker 1: It's a new single, John Legend. It's called Action Action
- 33:05Speaker 1: Speak out of the love Tonga La La Your go
- 33:18Speaker 1: again with another love song that always sh just another
- 33:23Speaker 1: love run out of patients. She don't want it, she
- 33:26Speaker 1: don't need it. Every other word coming from and she's
- 33:31Speaker 1: going back in my face singing the wagon being a
- 33:34Speaker 1: sounds of poetic, but it feels like I let it
- 33:36Speaker 1: slip away, slip away, water ship come by. She can
- 33:48Speaker 1: feel it. Shut speak out of the speak out and
- 33:56Speaker 1: speaks out of the love song The Maladies Day, Barry Yard.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I should speak loud and speak out and speak out
- 34:08Speaker 1: of a love song. I've been doing it all wrong.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Lie that. Here we go again, just a couple of
- 34:18Speaker 1: friends with some being a bit chackini, all of a
- 34:21Speaker 1: love that I wasted a run, a new song, racing
- 34:26Speaker 1: every other thing that I sav me. Fore you don't
- 34:29Speaker 1: want to hear about it anymore. I feel so created,
- 34:33Speaker 1: but it feels like there's nothing left to say to
- 34:36Speaker 1: make your stay on the show. Make a feeling when
- 34:41Speaker 1: the fake snacking, and she can feel it when the
- 34:49Speaker 1: night shout, speak out of and speak down and speak
- 34:54Speaker 1: out of a love song the Dollas Ees day by
- 34:59Speaker 1: All sing out song. That's how we do it. Do it? Boy,
- 35:19Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. It was a party now
- 35:21Speaker 1: when you dropped in some dropped into some Curtis Mayfield, Curtis,
- 35:25Speaker 1: go ahead, boy, I almost I almost ran up out
- 35:31Speaker 1: of this quarantine. I started to run out there and
- 35:37Speaker 1: damn that hug somebody. You almost got the virus man
- 35:42Speaker 1: a live Hey John, John, John, this right here, listen
- 35:48Speaker 1: to me. I know music. This one right here is
- 35:53Speaker 1: straight fire. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've really
- 35:57Speaker 1: I'm excited about the song, really excited about the whole album,
- 36:00Speaker 1: but definitely song. Hey John, hang on on, say hey y'all,
- 36:05Speaker 1: we'll be right back with more. John Legend, right after this.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You're listening, Hey y'all, we're back. Uh, We're back with
- 36:13Speaker 1: a John Legend and man, we just played his new single.
- 36:18Speaker 1: It's available now, so Steve Harvey Nation, everybody listening. We
- 36:22Speaker 1: all locked in right now. So this is what I
- 36:25Speaker 1: want to do. Man, Let's run this thing up to charts.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I need everybody to download it right now. It's call
- 36:30Speaker 1: Actions is by John Legend. You already know how to
- 36:33Speaker 1: do it. Get your niece in there. Everybody home, get
- 36:36Speaker 1: your niece in there and get your phone and downloaded. Man,
- 36:42Speaker 1: I love that song right there. Man, we're gonna put
- 36:44Speaker 1: that in rotation. I think that's hot. Hey, John Man,
- 36:46Speaker 1: you got great music, man, But you're also man so
- 36:49Speaker 1: active socially man, And I can't tell you I've seen
- 36:51Speaker 1: you at the White House. You always you're just very
- 36:55Speaker 1: socially conscious. Man. You've had a major presence since the
- 37:00Speaker 1: thing called Shelter in Place Mandate swept across the country.
- 37:04Speaker 1: You've been active on social media, You've done in home concerts.
- 37:07Speaker 1: What's your motivation for doing this? Well? You know what
- 37:11Speaker 1: we do as artists, As entertainers, we try to give
- 37:15Speaker 1: people entertainment. We try to give them inspiration. We try
- 37:18Speaker 1: to make them feel good, make them think, bring people
- 37:21Speaker 1: together and It's hard during this time because we all
- 37:24Speaker 1: used to bringing people physically together and we can't do
- 37:28Speaker 1: it right now. People are canceling tours, people are doing
- 37:30Speaker 1: all sorts of things that they're not used to doing.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But we can still bring people joy. We can still
- 37:36Speaker 1: bring people together spiritually as a community, and so that's
- 37:40Speaker 1: what a lot of us artists have been trying to do.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Entertain folks the best way we know how we perform
- 37:45Speaker 1: for them. We connect people through social media, and we
- 37:49Speaker 1: also trying to share a good message, trying to help
- 37:51Speaker 1: people understand what they need to do to keep themselves
- 37:54Speaker 1: and their families and their communities safe. But also if
- 37:57Speaker 1: people are blessed to be able to give to help
- 38:00Speaker 1: somebody else, then we encourage people to do that as well.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Good Man, Hey John, you're actively helping to raise money
- 38:07Speaker 1: for the World Health Organization. Yeah, we're working with World
- 38:10Speaker 1: Health Organization. We're doing this concert call Together at Home.
- 38:12Speaker 1: It's going to be on ABC, NBC and CBS, and
- 38:17Speaker 1: they're artists from all over the world. They're going to participate.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I'm performing Lady Guy got curated it. But you've got
- 38:25Speaker 1: artists from all genres involved in it, and We're just
- 38:30Speaker 1: trying to raise awareness, mostly because we know a lot
- 38:32Speaker 1: of folks can't even afford to donate right now. They're
- 38:35Speaker 1: all struggling. Folks are getting laid off, Folks are getting furloughed.
- 38:39Speaker 1: People don't know if they're going to have a check
- 38:41Speaker 1: coming in in the next couple of months. So we're
- 38:45Speaker 1: not asking most people to donate. We're asking big corporations
- 38:48Speaker 1: and people that got a lot of money to donate
- 38:50Speaker 1: because they can afford to. And then we're just bringing
- 38:54Speaker 1: everybody together to encourage each other and to thank everybody
- 38:57Speaker 1: who's been out there on the front lines, like people
- 38:59Speaker 1: who who are working in the medical field, doctor's nurses,
- 39:02Speaker 1: staff at the hospitals, people who are working in food
- 39:05Speaker 1: service that are still feeding folks. Um, we're just trying
- 39:08Speaker 1: to shine a light on all the work that they're
- 39:11Speaker 1: doing and support them in any way that we can. Well. Well, listen, y'all,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I want you to download it right now. It's called Actions.
- 39:18Speaker 1: It's John Legend's new one. Y'all downloaded. John Legend, my
- 39:22Speaker 1: man man coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 45:47Speaker 1: of right now. We've had a conversation with him and
- 45:50Speaker 1: we've checked him out. He's definitely okay. But why why
- 45:53Speaker 1: are you picking him up? So I don't I don't
- 45:54Speaker 1: understand what. All right, let's just just come down, hang onna. Second,
- 45:58Speaker 1: I got a couple of questions for you. Your husband

- 46:18Speaker 1: I know it's a little different type of question, but

- 46:34Speaker 1: where we have him in our custody right now here
- 46:36Speaker 1: in our headquarters at HPP? So what heck? What is
- 46:40Speaker 1: what is then? HPP? Ma'm HPP is Husband Protection Program?
- 46:47Speaker 1: Husband protection? I've never I've never heard of such a thing.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Why why is he the here? Well, the problem we
- 46:52Speaker 1: have and we've been getting some actual complaints and whatnot,
- 46:55Speaker 1: and not necessarily from him, but that you've been bullying
- 46:59Speaker 1: your husband. Okay, you know what. I'm at my job
- 47:01Speaker 1: and I'm gonna need you to hold on one second
- 47:04Speaker 1: so I can't go in here. What what what did
- 47:11Speaker 1: you say? Have you and uh Sean had any arguments
- 47:14Speaker 1: at all lately? How we had we're married? Have we
- 47:17Speaker 1: had arguments? Of course, he had arguments. What what does
- 47:19Speaker 1: that have to do with anything? Have you guys had
- 47:22Speaker 1: any altercation? Any altercation. Yes, what kind of altercations? Have

- 47:30Speaker 1: been bullying him, bullying him? You have you been happened
- 47:34Speaker 1: to bullying him? For somebody to turn in and give
- 47:37Speaker 1: us some who who? Who? Can't you need to go
- 47:42Speaker 1: to talk to him? I can't put him on. This
- 47:44Speaker 1: is what I'm talking about. When this you're talking about,
- 47:46Speaker 1: you found me at my job talk off like an
- 47:48Speaker 1: HPP cras and somebody trying somebody in for some arguments.
- 47:52Speaker 1: We're married. Who are you freaking? Who's married and does
- 47:55Speaker 1: not argue? I understand you mad, but it is my
- 47:57Speaker 1: job to protect husbands that are getting bullied by and
- 48:01Speaker 1: wise this is talking with you. Let me speak to him.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I'm not at liberty and let you speak to him
- 48:09Speaker 1: right now. To you, what you're not gonna do is
- 48:10Speaker 1: bullying me as well? And am I trying to bully you?
- 48:13Speaker 1: I want to know what coming on? And why do
- 48:15Speaker 1: you calling me? And my dad was some crap about
- 48:16Speaker 1: him being at some headquarters for AHPP. APP isn't a
- 48:19Speaker 1: hum of AHPP and my husband is not need protecting
- 48:21Speaker 1: from anybody sucking me. It is Husband Protection Program you've
- 48:25Speaker 1: been bullying your husband. You've been using bad language with y'all.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I want to talk to him, my husband when he
- 48:35Speaker 1: said I do he said I do se whatever she
- 48:37Speaker 1: said to me. Whenever he's talk about how iris he
- 48:38Speaker 1: said this, and never he gets and if he has
- 48:41Speaker 1: the problems with arguing me, sit need to start his
- 48:43Speaker 1: crap and he won't be in an argument and you
- 48:44Speaker 1: tell him that, you see, this is what we're talking about.
- 48:47Speaker 1: This is why he's been picked up today and brought
- 48:49Speaker 1: into our custody so that he would be definitely protected
- 48:52Speaker 1: from you. You know how if he needs a protection
- 48:54Speaker 1: and he's in your custody, yes you can keep him.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Me how that, Well, here's what we're gonna do. Somebody's
- 48:58Speaker 1: gonna be picking you up, bring you in so we
- 49:00Speaker 1: can have a conversation. Bringing me now there, what what
- 49:04Speaker 1: do you think it is? We're bringing you in so

- 49:09Speaker 1: something to you, ma'am. We will be bringing you in
- 49:11Speaker 1: having a conversation. What are you ringing the string with you?
- 49:14Speaker 1: You're gonna be coming in and you're gonna do it
- 49:17Speaker 1: company where we go anywhere anybody want are you physically
- 49:21Speaker 1: or mentally abusing your husband? You know what, You'll have
- 49:23Speaker 1: to pick me up? Tell me where you I will
- 49:24Speaker 1: come to you want to pick me up, I will.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I will come down there. I will hand you. You

- 49:30Speaker 1: also weren't out, We ain't home? Going to ask you
- 49:33Speaker 1: a serious question? Is it sounds like a consequence of
- 49:35Speaker 1: he doesn't listen to you. Let's conseq I mean, I mean,
- 49:38Speaker 1: what are you doing if you're treating your husband like
- 49:40Speaker 1: a child? What are you doing to him? Asking like
- 49:42Speaker 1: a pet? Treat you like a tide? If you if
- 49:44Speaker 1: you had the problem with how I see him you
- 49:46Speaker 1: talking about? He asked. Let me ask you something, miss Morgan.
- 49:49Speaker 1: What do you do for a letter ahead of seturity
- 49:51Speaker 1: at this building and about to cross the charity on
- 49:53Speaker 1: me because I'm loud in this room? Ohcause you're ahead
- 49:56Speaker 1: of security. So you know all about putting people in
- 49:58Speaker 1: choke calls and how to I apprehend the person? Don't
- 50:01Speaker 1: that is my job? Yes? I did? So are you
- 50:03Speaker 1: doing that at home? What I'm not gonna tell you again?
- 50:07Speaker 1: I don't harm that man in any way, no West

- 50:13Speaker 1: needs to get him behind in his car and got
- 50:15Speaker 1: to work. We have sils today and don't have high
- 50:17Speaker 1: for this crack. I got one more thing I need
- 50:19Speaker 1: to say to you. Are you're listening? You have nothing

- 54:11Speaker 1: that one right there? Buckle up and hold on tight.
- 54:15Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is Growberry Letters.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I got a little excited on this one. Yeah, he's
- 54:21Speaker 1: seventy single and ready to mingle. Dear Stephen Shirley. I
- 54:25Speaker 1: am a thirty year old single female and last year
- 54:27Speaker 1: I moved back to my hometown. I got an apartment
- 54:30Speaker 1: in a nice area of town, and my community has
- 54:33Speaker 1: a pool and a walking trail, so I've been using
- 54:36Speaker 1: them both since the weather it's nice. Shortly after I
- 54:39Speaker 1: moved in, I met an older male neighbor, and he's
- 54:42Speaker 1: seventy one and recently divorced. Whenever I run into him,
- 54:46Speaker 1: he flirts with me and I jokingly flirt back. He's
- 54:50Speaker 1: very inappropriate most of the time, but I figured he's
- 54:54Speaker 1: just lonely and totally harmless. One night, as I walked
- 54:58Speaker 1: in from a date, the old man was coming into
- 55:02Speaker 1: and he commented on how my butt looked in the
- 55:05Speaker 1: body con dress I was wearing. He asked me if
- 55:08Speaker 1: he could get to know me better and stop all
- 55:10Speaker 1: the flirting. I laughed and blew him off. One of
- 55:14Speaker 1: my male friends came over the next day to jog
- 55:17Speaker 1: with me, and the old guy mean mugged my friend
- 55:20Speaker 1: the whole time. My friend advised me to watch out
- 55:23Speaker 1: for the old man and stop flirting back with him.
- 55:26Speaker 1: From then on, I only spoke and that was it.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Five nights ago, the old man knocked on my door
- 55:32Speaker 1: and said he had an emergency. I cracked the door
- 55:36Speaker 1: and saw that he had on a robe and some
- 55:38Speaker 1: dress pants. The robe was open and his gray haired
- 55:41Speaker 1: chest was out, and he looked a mess. He told
- 55:44Speaker 1: me that his emergency was that he could not sleep
- 55:47Speaker 1: another night. Knowing that he and I have feelings for
- 55:51Speaker 1: each other. He told me life is short and we
- 55:53Speaker 1: need to stop playing games. I was sick to my stomach,
- 55:57Speaker 1: but I tried to let him down easy by saying
- 55:59Speaker 1: that I have a man. I got rid of him
- 56:02Speaker 1: that night, but each time I've seen him since then,
- 56:05Speaker 1: he won't even speak to me. I really heard his pride,
- 56:09Speaker 1: and I don't know what to do. I believe he's
- 56:11Speaker 1: harmless and just lonely. Am I wrong? How can I
- 56:14Speaker 1: fix this? Well? I mean, there's really nothing to fix.
- 56:17Speaker 1: You don't have to fix anything. You don't owe him anything.
- 56:21Speaker 1: He's just a neighbor who is very inappropriate with you,
- 56:24Speaker 1: just saying whatever he wanted to say, because he's older
- 56:27Speaker 1: and he thinks he can get away with it. Yeah,
- 56:30Speaker 1: you flirted back at first because you thought he was harmless.
- 56:32Speaker 1: But and he might be. But mean, mugging your friend
- 56:36Speaker 1: and all of that, knocking on your door at night
- 56:39Speaker 1: with his robe on, I mean, I think that's too much.
- 56:43Speaker 1: I don't care. I think you know he is inappropriate.
- 56:46Speaker 1: He's coming in commenting on how your butt looks in
- 56:49Speaker 1: the dress. Come on, now, that's a bit much. I mean,
- 56:52Speaker 1: this guy could be your grandfather. You're thirty, he's seventy one.
- 56:56Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I think it's a bit much.
- 56:59Speaker 1: Like I said, you don't owe him anything. Your only
- 57:02Speaker 1: obligation is to be a good person and a good neighbor.
- 57:05Speaker 1: But he's not even speaking to you, so you don't
- 57:07Speaker 1: have to do that if you don't want to nothing else.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I'm glad you let him know you have a man,
- 57:12Speaker 1: so he can just you know, take himself on, get,
- 57:16Speaker 1: you know, back to his house. I think he's immature
- 57:18Speaker 1: at seventy Steve, Well, let's let's go in and put
- 57:24Speaker 1: a little a little light on this thing. Hell for
- 57:27Speaker 1: your young lady, he's seventy single and ready to mingle. Well,
- 57:33Speaker 1: he's actually seventy one. He is ready for anything, anything,
- 57:42Speaker 1: another World War, Corona, the world to end him going
- 57:51Speaker 1: to a retirement home. He figured it could be any
- 57:57Speaker 1: day now, So don't be worried about this. Now you've
- 58:01Speaker 1: been on this walking trail and shortly after you moved
- 58:05Speaker 1: in because the weather been nice. Y'all out there and
- 58:09Speaker 1: you need to be practicing your social distancing. But you
- 58:13Speaker 1: are all up in here. Let him get up on
- 58:15Speaker 1: you and talk. And he can't afford to be up
- 58:17Speaker 1: on you because over sixty five you mow at risk.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Now he's seventy one and recently divorced. Let's deal with
- 58:23Speaker 1: that right there. If you seventy one and recently divorced,
- 58:28Speaker 1: it took you a long time to get sick of somebody.
- 58:32Speaker 1: People don't normally pull the plug in seventy one. That's
- 58:38Speaker 1: hanging in there just way too damn long. And he
- 58:41Speaker 1: figured whatever life he had left, he wanted to be happy.
- 58:45Speaker 1: So now when you run into him, he flirts with you,
- 58:48Speaker 1: and you jokingly flirt back. He has been inappropriate most
- 58:53Speaker 1: of the time. Well let me tell you why. You
- 58:56Speaker 1: know why he's been inappropriate most of the time because
- 59:00Speaker 1: he ain't got the time to be appropriate. He's seventy one.
- 59:07Speaker 1: He ain't got no time to court you. He ain't
- 59:10Speaker 1: got no time to find out how you feel about him.
- 59:15Speaker 1: He got to get it all in. He's seventy one.
- 59:20Speaker 1: But you figured he was just lonely and totally harmless.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Well you are right about one thing. He lonely, totally harmless.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Now I don't know about that. Then one night you're
- 59:32Speaker 1: walking from a date. The old man was coming in too.
- 59:36Speaker 1: He commented on how your butte look in the body
- 59:39Speaker 1: con dress you was wearing, and then ask if he
- 59:43Speaker 1: could get to know you better than stop all this flirting.
- 59:45Speaker 1: See he threw it. See he didn't flirt. It his
- 59:49Speaker 1: being inappropriate, that's his flirting at seventy one. He gotta
- 59:52Speaker 1: get to it. He ain't got time for nothing else
- 59:55Speaker 1: to lead up and all that. It could be any
- 59:58Speaker 1: day now when I come back, keep you a little
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: piece of advice. I don't know, all right, Steve, we'll
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: have part two of your response coming up at twenty
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour today. Subject he's seventy single

- 1:00:55Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter. He's seventy single
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: and ready to mingle boy. This is a sad letter,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Hill old player. Days is numbered over with. He'd met
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: the little fine girl in the community. Every time she
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: was going past him, he says something inappropriate. She know
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: it's inappropriate, but what she gonna say, and what I
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: told her is he ain't got the time to be appropriate,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: so all his comments is inappropriate. That's the life he lived.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Now you thought it was harmless and jokey, joking all that,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: and figured he was harmless. And you coming from a
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: day and he told you how your body looked in
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: his dress she was wearing. Then he said he wanted
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: to get to know you. Better stop all this flirting.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I laughed and blew him off. Then it got funky.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: One of your male friends came over go jogging with you,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and the old guy mean, mug my friend. The whole time.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Where was y'all jogging around the bench? He he mean,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: mug your friend the whole time? Where was your jog?
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: And he fronted this man that all he saw was
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: you was teasing you. Now he looking at you, boy
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: like he ain't nothing. Now your board and told him,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: quick fla what to do? All right? So five nights ago,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: here's where he got tricking. The old man knocked on
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: your dough, told you he had emergency. You cracked a
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: dough He had on the road, some dress pants. The
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: road was open, and his gray hair chest was out.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: He looked a hot, damn mess, yo, damn granddaddy, best
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: friend Horatio was standing at your dough ratio costing Horatio
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: costing was at your damn dough. He looked at mess
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: he couldn't. Then he told you he had an emergency.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: But the emergency found out was he couldn't sleep another night.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Knowing y'all head feels for each other. He told me
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: life was sure. What he meant to tell you was
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: his life is short and y'all need to top playing game.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I was sicked him my stomach, but I tried to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: let him down easy, told him I had a man.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: You got rid of it. But ever since that, he
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: ain't even spoke to me. He won't even speak. Now,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I really heard his pride. I don't know what to do.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I believe he's harmless and just lonely. Well, let me
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: tell you something about mister harmless and lonely. You're ready
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: for this information. Let's do the math hell seventy one
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: going to thirty as many times as it can. That's
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: what you need to know about mister harmless. Wow, because
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: in his head he hadn't done the math. And seventy
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: one going to thirty as many times as he can,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: that's what you need to know. He's not harmless. You
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: don't have to speak what Yeah, he won't even speak
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: to you. He's not speaking you off the hook. But
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: now let me let but let me say this to
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: you though, because you don't know if this man is
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: crazy or not, continue to be kind to him. Just
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: continue to be kind because what you don't know is
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: what this old fool might be. Sick in the head. Yeah,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: so you just want to be kind to him, and
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: just stop and saying why won't you speak to me?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I just want to be your friend. Can we at
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: least just be friendly towards each other? You remind me
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: of my of my grandfather. Say that to him, say it?
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Did you do the math again? Do me do the math?
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Seventy one go into thirty? How many times? As many
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: times as he can? What? Watch what you do, y'all?
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Don't understand that he ain't He is not homeless at all.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: That's what he do. And he thought you was it.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Now you ain't it. But just keep being nice to it.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: That's all. You ain't got to do nothing. Can you
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: do the math one more time? Jay? Let me ask
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: you a question. How many times do seventy go into thirty?
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Seventy will go into thirty? Now in in seventies mind
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: it will think it could go in a lot of times,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: but that's wrong. It can't go in a lot of time.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: It can go in as many times as you let it.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: That's pretty much it. Now you have more times in
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: your mind, but you ain't gonna you ain't gonna be.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Ain't no future with him, that's for damn none at all, none,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: because he ain't even show about that because he just
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: taking shots right now. But does he think he's sexy though?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Coming over her house? Put this robe open with all
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: that gray hair, and he probably got hair in his
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: ears too. She's thirty, sir, you're seventy one. Stop it.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Don't be a dream crush, please, man, don't. As a
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: matter of fact, man, let me talk to fellas for
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: just a second. Again, Fellas, when you're getting older, you
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: gotta start looking at that ear hair. Yeah, that's that's
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: bad because ear hair make you look old. Duck. Really,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: you need to start looking at that nostril hair. H yeah. Yeah,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: especially shave you no, shave your ears. I know that
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I don't cut that too fast. I'm just saying. Post
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter and Steve Harvey FM
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook, and don't forget to check out
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up in forty
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: six minutes after the hour. President Trump's rollout plan to
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: get the country back open. It'll be in three phases.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. Wow, you're listening
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: to show. Well. Yesterday President Trump announced his new rollout plan,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Steve to get the country back working in three phases.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Phase one, people should continue to work from home. Vulnerable
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: people will continue to shelter in place, and schools will
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: remain closed. Movie theaters, churches, and sports venues can reopen
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: if they follow social distancing. That's phase one. Phase two
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: schools can open and a Phase one what we doing enough?
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Yeah sir, yeah, yeah, Okay, hearing the obvious. Phase two
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: schools can open and non essential travel can continue. And
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: that's that's phase two. That's it for Phase two. Schools
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: can open, non essential travel can continue. Phase three excuse me,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: non essential travel can't continue. Okay, So he gonna open
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: back the schools up. Okay, that's Phase two supposed to happen. Well,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: there's no date. It's up to the governor for each state.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: They can be the phases the way they want, and
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: he told them that too, after he was saying he
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: had full all right, Phase three workplace may fully resume
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: their staffing, and visits to hospitals and nursing homes may resume.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Each phase would last about two weeks to make sure
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: infections would not begin to rise again. It's up to
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: each governor Steve as to when they want to open
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: his or her state. So there you got so are
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: you serious? Yeah? This is non essential rollout plan. Yeah,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: hey man, listen to me. This isn't a plan of his.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: You keep saying this is your rollout plan, but then
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: you keep saying it's up to the governors. But after
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: you just said you had total authority because you the
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: president and if you can open it and closing. Son,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Hey man, let me tell you something. I could have
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: gave him this plan back inactly. Do if you think
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: you came in with some earth breaking, late breaking news,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: you think, boy, Because in his to his point, some
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: states can open before others where it's not that bad.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: But what are you gonna do if you need to
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: try from one state that's in phase one and then
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: you in phase three. It just doesn't make sense for
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: everybody that it's a bad plan, a bad plan. Yeah,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: it's not a good plan. Yeah, all right, coming up
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, J Anthony Brown stimulus package.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: He has one of his own. Okay, yeah, we'll talk
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: about it right after this. I bet it's better than
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: as a president. You're listening to show. All right. So
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: when we left, we were talking about the president's new
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: stimulus uh, not his new stimulus program, his rollout plan,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: rollout plan. Yeah, the president's rollout plan just crazy. It
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: makes no sense. Yeah. He wants to get more mask,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: more hospital mask, and more testing. More yeah, more testing.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Yea tested. President Trump said on TV the other day. Okay,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I found this on the website for what mister Trump said. Okay,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: listen to this. Donald Trump came on and said, the
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: United States has done more testing than anyone else. We
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: have more tests out there than anyone else. And that's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: not true. Per capital, we've done the least amount of testing.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: We're almost third from the bottom. We've not done it.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I mean the number of people that said it's over
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: three hundred and fifty four million people in this country.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: We haven't tested a million people. You can't do this, man,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: And until you get testing so we can know where
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: we really are. You can't do this rollout. And the
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: other part of it is you can't. We need a vaccine.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: See until we have a vaccine or something, a person
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: can take that cure is it and can prevent you
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: from getting it. We don't know where we are with this.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: We can't stop it. And the only thing that's flattened
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: the curve has been social distancing. Yeah, and man, let
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: me tell you something for the first time, you know,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: you know what. I'm in Atlanta now. So I got
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: in Atlanta yesterday. Today was my first day I actually
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: drove a car today. I wanted to just say that
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: drove a car forty minutes one way today. I haven't
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: driven a car forty minutes one way in a long time.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: All my jobs are right close. I haven't driven forty
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: is I want to say the city of Atlanta that
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I'm seeing the part that I saw. I saw everybody
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: with a mask on. Good. My wife went to Whole Food.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: You've got to stand in line. You have to have
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: on the mask to go in. They got two employees
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: with mask outside wipe down the handles of all the
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: grocery cards, hand it to you. Then you go in
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: the store. If you don't have a mask, you can't
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: go in. And they let ten people in that store
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: at a time, and that's it. And they're not playing.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: They don't kill who you are. All the police officers
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: had on mask. I gotta take out from a Houston's.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: They come out with mask. You can place your order.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I went to Houston's yesterday. You can place your order online.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: But I told him I don't know how to do
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: all that. I'm talking to you. Can I just give
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: you my order? Man? He said, yeah, just go online. Hey, Pardner,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: you know who I am. Dog. I'm driving and I
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: need to come back. Sir, you have to go online.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I said, my man, I'm talking to you now, and
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I'm outside. He looked outside. He said, you're in that
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: white truck. I said yeah. He said, man, all right,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: let me see. I said, hey, man, listen to me
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: this Steve Harvey. Just help me out. Man, Slow down, slowdown.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: What do you say outter that? He said? He said?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: He said, man, get out of hill. You ain't know.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Then I said, okay, well let me ask you something. Man.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Who you know talk like this? He said? As soon
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: as I get you to just give my voice? I said,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: who else? You know, talk like this hill. He said,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I'll went over there and pulling on fifteen minutes, bought
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: our food out. Margie went over to the whole food
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: boss of food, and I'm just the people I saw
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: who were trying to practice, who were practicing social distancing,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: wearing they mask caddy gloves, wiping it down. I just
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: want to say thank y'all for participating. Man, Herb flattened
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: out because we're not getting anywhere with this president there.

- 1:21:12Speaker 1: that's part of it. Let me let me, let me
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: do it this way. Let's let's go to closed remarks.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you what I got. I got a
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: closing remark for you today. I got a note from
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: the biggest star of all times. Uh, bigger than any
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: sporting champ anything. I got a note from the biggest
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: star ever. And I think you all recognized this, But
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: this is the text that I got today. It said,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: no movies, no concerts, no sporting events, no restaurant rants,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: no social gatherings, limited workload. Now that I've cleared your schedule,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: can we talk now? God? It was a note from God.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I got a text today and when I got this text,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: I thought i'd share it with you, because, Man, ain't
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: that really what didn't happen? We got no movies, you
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: got no concerts, you got no sporting events, that no restaurants,

- 1:22:48Speaker 1: now that I've cleared your schedule, can we talk now? God,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: y'all we've got to get that message. And when I
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: read that, man, it really really moved me because I
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: went wild. Man, what an incredible opportunity to get close
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: to the only source that is guaranteed help in a
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: situation like this. If you got a better idea than
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: God right now, if I were you, I'd use it.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: But I am willing to bet all that I've ever made,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: all I've ever been, all I ever will be. There
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: ain't no safer bet. There's never been more sure of
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: a thing than God. I can't think of anyone I
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: would rather entrust with the task of getting me through
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: this that my Heavenly Father, God Almighty. I just there's
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: no one else. Oh. I'm glad I got a wife
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: that's a great teammate. I'm glad I got some business
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: people that calling check on me. I'm glad I got
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: some co workers that come in here every day and
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: have a great spirit and try to lift people up
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: through working every day. You know, I thank God for
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: the frontline workers, the first responders, all the nurses and
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: doctors that's putting their lives on the live, trying to
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: save so many people. And they going through it, man,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: because they just watching people die, and they watching people
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: walk out in the street without mask on, not practicing
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: social distance. But they're going anyway. They just trying. But
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: I was listening to one of them the other day
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: talk on Spectrum and she said, if it wasn't for God,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: she don't know what she'd do. And y'all, I'm telling you,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: this is a time for us to really really put
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: a check on ourselves. Because you know what, as much
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: as I used to talk about how hard I worked,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: I only had to come to the realization, Hasty, you
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: got to settle down. Man. You can't go to work, yeah,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: ain't yeah, ain't no calling in and looking about into nothing.

- 1:25:27Speaker 1: go to the movies. There are no concerts, ain't no
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: sporting events. We ain't got no restaurants, we ain't got
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: no social gatherings. All of our workloads, most of our
