- 0:20Speaker 1: good it. Steve har listening to the movie together for
- 0:26Speaker 1: ste Please, I don't join Brady, join me in doing me. Honey.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta turning to you, gotta turn to turn them out,
- 1:42Speaker 1: turn you love, got to turn them out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your back,
- 2:01Speaker 1: h I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now. One and
- 2:07Speaker 1: only Steve hart Man got a radio show. M Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I do. Man. God been so good to me over
- 2:17Speaker 1: the years, in spite of all the mistakes I've made,
- 2:22Speaker 1: in spite of all the dirt I've done to myself.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm talking about when in no one I was wrong,
- 2:30Speaker 1: His grace and mercy has forgiven me for all of
- 2:34Speaker 1: my sins. God can forgive you of all of your sins,
- 2:40Speaker 1: everything you've done, God can forgive you. He can wipe
- 2:45Speaker 1: your slate clean. Now. Might you might have some you know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: things you got to deal with because of some of
- 2:51Speaker 1: your actions, understand that, But you can wipe your slates.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You can wipe your slate clean with God and start again.
- 2:58Speaker 1: You can repent. God has mercy and grace. You could
- 3:02Speaker 1: be forgiven by God. Now, people answer another story. Some
- 3:06Speaker 1: people may never forgive you, for you've heard them all,
- 3:09Speaker 1: or maybe they're accusing you of doing something else. But
- 3:12Speaker 1: you know they may never forgive you. But God, God
- 3:16Speaker 1: is in the redemption business man. God will forgive you
- 3:19Speaker 1: for every sin you've ever committed. But you gotta want
- 3:23Speaker 1: forgiveness now, and then you got to come correct because
- 3:26Speaker 1: what you can't do is you can't shoot him the crap.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Now you can say that conversation with him. You know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: whatever you told your lawyer, whatever, whatever you told the victims,
- 3:38Speaker 1: whatever you told, whatever the story is you got going
- 3:42Speaker 1: if it ain't the truth, you could say that with God,
- 3:45Speaker 1: because please know, he know, and he know your heart.
- 3:48Speaker 1: He know if you're trying to manipulate somebody just for
- 3:52Speaker 1: the system, if you're trying to say this just so
- 3:54Speaker 1: you can get out, He know all of that. So
- 3:56Speaker 1: if you're planning on shucking him and jiving him, save
- 3:59Speaker 1: your health before you wind up digging yourself in a
- 4:02Speaker 1: deeper hole. Just let me give you that piece of
- 4:05Speaker 1: advice because he ain't nothing to play with. He's too
- 4:08Speaker 1: great to be played with. And so with that in mind,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I want to share some positive stuff with you. To
- 4:13Speaker 1: smarty man, I want to say this now. I want
- 4:15Speaker 1: to remind you not to let your circumstance and your
- 4:19Speaker 1: situations dictate your future or your results. I'm gonna say
- 4:25Speaker 1: this again. This is important information. Man. Don't let your
- 4:30Speaker 1: circumstance and situations dictate your future or your results. Do
- 4:37Speaker 1: you know that in order to get a different future
- 4:41Speaker 1: or some different results, you control that entire situation. It
- 4:46Speaker 1: is you. It is your thoughts that control the entire situation.
- 4:51Speaker 1: It is how you look at the situation that will
- 4:54Speaker 1: determine how the situation is for you. See, the same
- 4:58Speaker 1: situation can be told different for two different people, because
- 5:02Speaker 1: you can say you look at the examples of history,
- 5:04Speaker 1: just just look look in your neighborhood. How can that?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Was a book that a guy wrote one time who
- 5:10Speaker 1: had the name. He had a name, and he did
- 5:12Speaker 1: some research and he found a guy that grew up
- 5:15Speaker 1: at the same age in the same neighborhood as him,
- 5:19Speaker 1: with the exact same name. He went on to become
- 5:23Speaker 1: a corporate CEO. The other man was an inmate, and
- 5:30Speaker 1: they had the same name, grew up in the same neighborhood.
- 5:34Speaker 1: They were both brothers, you know not, I'm just saying
- 5:38Speaker 1: brothers men. And they grew and they went to different
- 5:41Speaker 1: Because how can two different two people the same situation
- 5:46Speaker 1: and the results turn out so different. It is because
- 5:48Speaker 1: of the thought process of one was completely different from
- 5:51Speaker 1: the thought process of the other. You control it. You
- 5:55Speaker 1: don't have to let your circumstances and your situations dictate
- 5:58Speaker 1: your future or results. Here's the way it works. This
- 6:03Speaker 1: is so you can understand this. Your mind. It's the
- 6:07Speaker 1: controlling factor of your thoughts. Your thoughts are the controlling
- 6:13Speaker 1: factor of your outcome. The Bible says a man is
- 6:17Speaker 1: as he thinketh. Please don't short play this scripture here,
- 6:21Speaker 1: because this one is the real deal. This is the
- 6:25Speaker 1: basis of every self improvement book you'll ever read. It's
- 6:30Speaker 1: already written in the Bible. The Bible has all the
- 6:33Speaker 1: information you need. But in case you need a little
- 6:35Speaker 1: bit of clarity in some simple modern day language, then
- 6:38Speaker 1: they have self improvement books. They are all based on
- 6:41Speaker 1: Biblical scripture. A man is as he thinketh. That's why
- 6:45Speaker 1: Norman Vincent Peale wrote the book The Power of Positive Thinking.
- 6:50Speaker 1: That's why a book came out called The Magic of
- 6:52Speaker 1: Thinking Big. That's why a book came out called Think
- 6:56Speaker 1: and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hell that all of you,
- 7:00Speaker 1: All these titles that I've read that have mattered in
- 7:02Speaker 1: my life the most, these three major books that I've read,
- 7:06Speaker 1: they all say one thing. Think thinking thoughts, because that's
- 7:10Speaker 1: what controls the outcome. Your brain works one of two ways.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It works positive or negative. It works good, which is
- 7:24Speaker 1: under the column of positive, or to work evil, which
- 7:28Speaker 1: is under the column of negative. It will have faith,
- 7:32Speaker 1: which is under the column of positive, or you will
- 7:35Speaker 1: operate in fear, which is in the column of negative.
- 7:39Speaker 1: That is the only way your mind works. Your mind
- 7:42Speaker 1: is a factory that's comprised of workers. Those workers are
- 7:48Speaker 1: controlled by two formings, forming positive and forming negative. But
- 7:53Speaker 1: guess what the CEO of the company, the head, man,
- 7:58Speaker 1: the boss is you. You come to work in the
- 8:01Speaker 1: morning and you say, man, today is a great day.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I'm going to take steps towards brightening my future. I'm
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to take another step into making that dream come
- 8:13Speaker 1: true that I've been thinking about. I'm gonna take another
- 8:16Speaker 1: step forward in the development and the changing of my
- 8:19Speaker 1: life in a positive, good direction. If you come to
- 8:23Speaker 1: work and say that every day as the CEO, the boss,
- 8:27Speaker 1: the formans can only obey you, so that what you
- 8:30Speaker 1: just said was a series of positive statements then forming
- 8:34Speaker 1: positive steps to the forefront. He said, I got your
- 8:37Speaker 1: boss right away. He turns around, He blows the whistle.
- 8:41Speaker 1: He alerts all the workers in the factory today as
- 8:44Speaker 1: a good day. Today, we will take steps towards our future.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Today we are putting ourselves on track to get a
- 8:51Speaker 1: little bit closer to making our dreams come true. Today
- 8:54Speaker 1: we will be assembling all the things we need to
- 8:58Speaker 1: make our dreams come true in our life, life better
- 9:00Speaker 1: in the right direction. Everybody break. The workers in the
- 9:04Speaker 1: factory turn around and manufacture thoughts to justify the orders
- 9:11Speaker 1: given by the boss, which is you. You are the
- 9:14Speaker 1: CEO of your corporation. If you don't own nothing else,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you own everything that's going on between your two ears.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You are the CEO of that corporation. If that corporation
- 9:26Speaker 1: is a good one, it's because you set it up
- 9:28Speaker 1: that way. If your corporation is a bad one, it's
- 9:31Speaker 1: because you set it up that day, If you trying,
- 9:34Speaker 1: if you pushing towards your dreams, and you see the
- 9:37Speaker 1: possibility of things happening in your life is because you,
- 9:40Speaker 1: as the CEO, set it up that way. If you
- 9:42Speaker 1: ain't got nothing popping, if you just want to be
- 9:44Speaker 1: a criminal taking stuff from people, throwing your life out
- 9:47Speaker 1: the window, you're gonna be an inmate. You're gonna be
- 9:49Speaker 1: sitting there there, and you're gonna be mad at everybody.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You've got nobody be mad at. But shoot, you understand
- 9:54Speaker 1: what I'm telling you this morning. You're listening to show.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, here we are again another blessed date.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Listen to me. At least wake up in the morning
- 10:09Speaker 1: and tell God you appreciate that. I don't know if
- 10:12Speaker 1: you noticed this or not, but you don't have the
- 10:14Speaker 1: ability to wake yourself up. Alarm clocks will go off
- 10:18Speaker 1: all around the world this morning, and people will not
- 10:21Speaker 1: arise to turn them off because it's not the alarm
- 10:25Speaker 1: clock that wakes you. God wakes you allows you to
- 10:28Speaker 1: hear the alarm clock. Can everybody say thank you Lord
- 10:31Speaker 1: for waking me up today? Lord, Thank you Lord. Cheley

- 12:28Speaker 1: nothing fall off of me yet. Jesus. Uh, that's nice. No,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I'm just saying it's still on their call. It ain't
- 12:35Speaker 1: like it ain't like I got some of them yet.

- 12:45Speaker 1: you have them. They just having arrived yet they're on
- 12:47Speaker 1: the way. All of it's on the way. I believe
- 12:50Speaker 1: in them though. Yeah. I got two shows right now.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I want a third show. I want a third show.
- 12:59Speaker 1: My Mike College Quiz Show was back. It starts in January,
- 13:03Speaker 1: and then I got of course, I got ready to Love.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I want one more show. I want I want a
- 13:07Speaker 1: third show. That's that's on my board, just like uncle.

- 13:26Speaker 1: the hour, Steve's going to tell us what he's working on,
- 13:29Speaker 1: what's on his dream board, and from what I understand,
- 13:33Speaker 1: sister Odell may make a visit to the morning show
- 13:37Speaker 1: as well. We'll find out what's on her dream board
- 13:39Speaker 1: as well. That's coming up, right after this, you're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Coming up at the top of
- 13:49Speaker 1: the hour. Our special guest will be Steve's daughter, Brandy Hardy.
- 13:54Speaker 1: She has a word for us this morning, Yes she does.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Brandy's gonna tell us about her brand new book. It's
- 13:59Speaker 1: called Breakthrough, sold separately. Brandy will be here at the
- 14:02Speaker 1: top of the hour. Right now, it's time for something funny.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Before we left, Steve asked us what was on our
- 14:08Speaker 1: vision board that we're working on, and he got around
- 14:10Speaker 1: to everyone, but a time ran out before we got
- 14:13Speaker 1: to you, Steve, and we want to hear what you
- 14:15Speaker 1: have to say. And then sister Odell's coming by too
- 14:17Speaker 1: right here, and that we want to know what's on
- 14:19Speaker 1: her dream board as well. I don't know. I'm just
- 14:22Speaker 1: I'm just working on a couple of things in the
- 14:24Speaker 1: motivational space. I think that's, you know, got a bunch
- 14:28Speaker 1: of other stuff on it, but that's one that's been
- 14:30Speaker 1: like popping up surprisingly to me. You know, I've done
- 14:34Speaker 1: a few speaking engagements. I did one in Jamaica this weekend,
- 14:38Speaker 1: got another one coming up in Duebaye. I do another
- 14:41Speaker 1: one in Boswanna, So it's kind of gotten global. From
- 14:45Speaker 1: me without me even what do you speak on? Just
- 14:50Speaker 1: motivation or whatever like them. The theme in Jamaica was
- 14:56Speaker 1: getting to the next level. Of course I happen to
- 14:59Speaker 1: know about that. Has I've been at all the level.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So the story was compelling from homeless to Hollywood. Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 1: that's that's that's been a ride, man, I guess that's
- 15:15Speaker 1: our Q. Yeah. Move for Jesus, Jane Moon, No, Jesus,
- 15:36Speaker 1: m ain't it good? No, Jesus Good morning everyone? Morning,
- 15:46Speaker 1: Hey Collie, Hey, sister Old Dale. How you doing? Brutal
- 15:51Speaker 1: for brutal for brutal for hey Junior, morning, Sister Old
- 15:54Speaker 1: Dale's good to hear from you this morning. Did you
- 15:57Speaker 1: did you jest your voice? No, ma'am? Oh, Daddy day
- 16:03Speaker 1: pop seeing it out, it's like it's gotta shout in it.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Hi boy, yes, ma'am. So how good you back to
- 16:14Speaker 1: being respectful. That's mighty kind of you. Thank you. Hello, Shirley, Well,
- 16:20Speaker 1: Hello and welcome, Welcome, Welcome, sister Odell. Where girl a
- 16:26Speaker 1: good to be here? Now? God, it's good man. You
- 16:32Speaker 1: just ran right through me. J man. You know what
- 16:38Speaker 1: we were just talking and normally, you know, we don't
- 16:41Speaker 1: ask people, Uh, and I don't want to be disrespectful,
- 16:46Speaker 1: like of age what their dreams are? You know what
- 16:49Speaker 1: I mean? We usually reserve that for younger people who
- 16:54Speaker 1: have the majority of their life ahead of them, but
- 16:58Speaker 1: we wanted to take some time since you're here, to
- 17:00Speaker 1: ask you, because um, surely you still have some dreams. Well. See,
- 17:05Speaker 1: when people gets around my age, they don't call them
- 17:08Speaker 1: dreams anymore. They call them bucket list. Oh yeah, all right, good.
- 17:15Speaker 1: See that's the difference. They ain't just what you want
- 17:18Speaker 1: to help them do. At this age you need to
- 17:25Speaker 1: start scratching stuff off. You ain't that kind of build
- 17:27Speaker 1: now tell us? Yeah, yeah, all your building us is done. Yeah,
- 17:35Speaker 1: you didn't need to get some money out the bank
- 17:37Speaker 1: and gone and going over there and see it? All right?
- 17:40Speaker 1: So what's on your bucket list? Sister Adell? Well, I
- 17:47Speaker 1: was thinking maybe before our leaders world, thinking about man
- 17:53Speaker 1: Lebron James James. Though you're just thinking, yeah, old Dale James.
- 18:08Speaker 1: You know they said it to be easy if I
- 18:10Speaker 1: married that wide receiver from the Browns, old b j.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Because then my name is already old, and then his
- 18:18Speaker 1: name junior, Old Dale Beckham junior, and she will be
- 18:24Speaker 1: just old Dale Junior. But I like old Dale James,
- 18:30Speaker 1: big old strong buck come down to float that basketball y'
- 18:35Speaker 1: up that high. Yes, ma'am, I know it had never
- 18:39Speaker 1: happened though. You know it's just a bucket list thing. Okay, Well,
- 18:42Speaker 1: what's what's something on the list that you know, um
- 18:45Speaker 1: is attainable that you think you can Wait a minute,
- 18:47Speaker 1: hold on, sweetie, that's bucket listens can happen. You know
- 18:51Speaker 1: it's it's not up to you. It's not it's not okay, yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 1: it's not up to you, sweetie. You know I'm trying
- 18:58Speaker 1: to change it, become a better person. So you know
- 19:02Speaker 1: what you're not gonna do is Timmy's not doable. No,
- 19:05Speaker 1: I didn't say that, but no, that's not what I mean.
- 19:08Speaker 1: But I'm just one. It's married, sister Odell. He's married
- 19:12Speaker 1: and he's old. Things happened. I've been married. Let times
- 19:16Speaker 1: things happened, sweetie. Okay, because I put it on your
- 19:20Speaker 1: list and see how I go? Okay, what else is
- 19:23Speaker 1: on your last? Now I didn't say I was happy,
- 19:26Speaker 1: But wait a minute. Every you know, every you know,
- 19:31Speaker 1: every week you come, you know, just always you know,
- 19:36Speaker 1: you just get on your tippatoes and you just start talking.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It's just amazing how you just won't shut your mind. Okay,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I don't know how Kate doesn't. I'd have
- 19:57Speaker 1: been and put your lips in so far back down, y'all.
- 20:00Speaker 1: So okay, what else, Sister Dell marrying Lebron. You know
- 20:09Speaker 1: I was listening Geesus Strawberry letter yesterday, yes, ma'am, and
- 20:13Speaker 1: you had the letter where that food had jumped on
- 20:16Speaker 1: a fifteen year old girl who was tussling in the
- 20:18Speaker 1: floor like they were like they were two dudes in
- 20:21Speaker 1: the street. Girl. That reminds me of that time Harry Tubbman,
- 20:28Speaker 1: father the slapped urn of mouth, we were sitting on
- 20:31Speaker 1: the porch, Harry tubmy poor that gun I shot him.
- 20:40Speaker 1: We gotta come back. I want to ask us. I
- 20:43Speaker 1: just wanted to throw that out for your little history
- 20:46Speaker 1: black history, that little known black history fact in October.
- 20:51Speaker 1: We love it all right, Well, thank you, Sister Odell.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Coming up, it's nephews run that prank back. And before
- 20:57Speaker 1: he gets to the prank, he said, he wants to

- 21:09Speaker 1: Our special guest will be the one and only Brandy Harvey,
- 21:12Speaker 1: Seve's daughter. She has a brand new book out. We'll
- 21:14Speaker 1: talk about that with her. That's real nice. That's real nice.
- 21:18Speaker 1: What did Tommy want with me? Yeah? You know you
- 21:22Speaker 1: brought up sister, miss Harriet Tubman. You brought up he
- 21:27Speaker 1: knew very well. Yeah, when we were talking to you earlier,
- 21:30Speaker 1: I just wanted to know. I just want to know
- 21:32Speaker 1: how you know? So? Are you a free slave? I
- 21:36Speaker 1: don't because i've well, how was you that when Harriet daddy?
- 21:43Speaker 1: You know, I said, we were sitting on the poach talking. Okay,
- 21:48Speaker 1: but Harriet was a slave. So where did you read
- 21:52Speaker 1: that Harriet was a slave? So you was free too?
- 21:58Speaker 1: Is I'm free? Naw fo? I guess I was back
- 22:08Speaker 1: sitting on her punch taking care of her daddy. She
- 22:12Speaker 1: shot it in the leg. She just went down there
- 22:16Speaker 1: and told everybody, come on, if you turn around, our
- 22:19Speaker 1: shoot you. If you don't believe he will. She can't,
- 22:23Speaker 1: damn my, damnadd I got my daddy, I know. Damn Well,

- 27:20Speaker 1: he's in. Keeps following asleep every time I asked you something.
- 27:24Speaker 1: If he falls asleep. He keeps telling me that over
- 27:26Speaker 1: that fight. But I don't then he won't tell me
- 27:29Speaker 1: to you. I don't sorry, I don't know to you
- 27:31Speaker 1: what's the would you wake him to sleep? Hey? I
- 27:36Speaker 1: got a guy on the phone that he says if
- 27:38Speaker 1: they get to hear some screaming over his highest unit,
- 27:42Speaker 1: but keeps following asleep. I don't can't get him on,
- 27:45Speaker 1: get him to tell me what the unit number? Hey, dude,
- 27:49Speaker 1: come in listen to this. Listen. Hello, I'm gonna you
- 28:00Speaker 1: to wake up? Sir? Okay, sir? Could you please give
- 28:02Speaker 1: me the unity? I gotta ask you something? How come
- 28:06Speaker 1: y'all all, y'all, dude, just sit on y'all to watch
- 28:09Speaker 1: cars come in and out that door and stand of
- 28:11Speaker 1: helping people that need help like you want the number?
- 28:15Speaker 1: You shut your housing at me. You didn't do your
- 28:18Speaker 1: damn job. You rent a cop. I'm a read a cop.
- 28:20Speaker 1: I'm a rend the cop fall asleep. Would you just
- 28:24Speaker 1: give me the you don't number? Please? I give you
- 28:26Speaker 1: the number new yo, the number you're ready for the
- 28:28Speaker 1: un the number? Are you? Are you listening to me? Yes?
- 28:32Speaker 1: Listening to you, sir. Death is a few timing from
- 28:36Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got crank by
- 28:41Speaker 1: your co worker. Y'all crazy, y'all, y'all got me out
- 28:50Speaker 1: here walking around this complex looking for people's hollering and screaming,
- 28:56Speaker 1: and you're sleeping every Let me let me ask you something, man,
- 29:03Speaker 1: what is the baddest radio show in the land? All right?
- 29:11Speaker 1: Taking up you coming up at the stop at the hour,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I special guest Steve's daughter, our friend, our girl, Brandy Harvey.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening, light you out. We got
- 29:27Speaker 1: a special guest today. Uh this morning is my firstborn child.
- 29:33Speaker 1: This one here, Lord Jesus, this one here grew me up.
- 29:38Speaker 1: For real. I was just twenty five years old and
- 29:42Speaker 1: I was, you know, doing my thing, and then her
- 29:46Speaker 1: and her sister came along, and oh God, Lord Jesus,
- 29:51Speaker 1: oh God, what have I done? I had no idea
- 29:57Speaker 1: what I was in for. They grew me up. This
- 29:59Speaker 1: is one half of my twins. I'm really proud of her, though.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Brandy has been doing some incredible work over the years,
- 30:06Speaker 1: really establishing herself as a speaker, as a motivator, as
- 30:10Speaker 1: a nutritionist, as a workout guru, philanthropists, and just an entrepreneur. Well, now,
- 30:18Speaker 1: she didn't took after her daddy for real. She's an author.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Come on, you know, all of all trying to be
- 30:25Speaker 1: good like your Damn Daddy on. Her new book is
- 30:29Speaker 1: entitled Listen to This You All or Breakthrough Soul Separately.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Breakthrough Soul Separately. It's a guide for anyone who needs
- 30:41Speaker 1: a push to move past your past and to step
- 30:44Speaker 1: into your divine destiny. And as her father, I'm pretty
- 30:49Speaker 1: proud of this girl right here, she's here, Lady Jennery,
- 30:51Speaker 1: Please welcome to the show. My first bring daughter, Brandy Harvey.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Oh yes, made me cheer up on that one. Well,
- 31:10Speaker 1: welcome back, Brandy. It's spent a minute since you've spent
- 31:12Speaker 1: time with us. Well. First of all, before we before
- 31:15Speaker 1: we get into the book, Brandy, I just want to
- 31:17Speaker 1: say you did found You founded your active wellness brand
- 31:21Speaker 1: Beyond Her, and you're all about empowering women to eat well,
- 31:25Speaker 1: to give a darn, and to care for the mind,
- 31:27Speaker 1: body and spirit. So what was your inspiration for starting
- 31:31Speaker 1: your wellness brand to begin with? You know, mom, my
- 31:34Speaker 1: inspiration were starting beyond Her that every woman takes the
- 31:38Speaker 1: journey beyond and beyond is where a power lies, is
- 31:41Speaker 1: where the infinite is. And so what we can tappen
- 31:44Speaker 1: to that mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually we could eat well.
- 31:49Speaker 1: We can live well and we can be well in
- 31:51Speaker 1: the world. M No, seriously that that's good, and it
- 31:57Speaker 1: really is. And you wrote a book. You wrote your
- 32:00Speaker 1: new book. Your dad just talked about it. He gave
- 32:02Speaker 1: us the title Breakthrough Sold Separately. It serves as a
- 32:05Speaker 1: guide to help us to stop dreaming of the life
- 32:08Speaker 1: we want and align with our purpose and live up
- 32:11Speaker 1: to our full potential. So tell us more about the book.
- 32:14Speaker 1: I can't wait, you know, I'm so excited about this book.
- 32:18Speaker 1: And really the title of this book was confirmed when
- 32:21Speaker 1: I spoke at the Vault Empowerment Conference in Los Angeles.
- 32:26Speaker 1: I have done this message Breakthrough Sold Separately, And I
- 32:28Speaker 1: think so often we think that the breakthrough is included
- 32:32Speaker 1: in our lives, but it is the thing we have
- 32:34Speaker 1: to work for. We are going to have to eventually
- 32:37Speaker 1: get out of the boat of mediocrity and walk on
- 32:40Speaker 1: water in our lives. Absolutely, walk on water. Wow. How
- 32:45Speaker 1: proud are you right now, Steve Harvey? How broad are
- 32:48Speaker 1: you right now? Listened over the years to a lot
- 32:55Speaker 1: of things I've saying, but she's put her own twist
- 32:58Speaker 1: on it. Obviously, like the title of the book Breakthrough
- 33:02Speaker 1: Soul Separately, because you know, that's that's all that captures
- 33:07Speaker 1: that old saying that the dream is absolutely free. The
- 33:11Speaker 1: hustle is sold separately, right, so I think that ties
- 33:15Speaker 1: into the breakthrough is soul separately. I think that's a
- 33:17Speaker 1: smart title. Steve, this is great. You should really be proud.
- 33:21Speaker 1: We're going to continue with more from your daughter Brandy
- 33:24Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour. But right now, let's
- 33:27Speaker 1: get a quick check on today's headlines. What you got, bakies, gentlemen,
- 33:30Speaker 1: miss a and trip. Thank you everybody, This is a
- 33:33Speaker 1: trip with the news. Well. Dallas police claim they've solved
- 33:36Speaker 1: the murder of the key witness in the Amber Geiger case,
- 33:39Speaker 1: twenty eight year old Joshua Brown, who was expected to
- 33:41Speaker 1: be the best witness in the promised investigation into law
- 33:45Speaker 1: enforcement's actions a night that Geiger murdered that Amber Geiger
- 33:49Speaker 1: murdered Botham Jean. He was found shot and killed in
- 33:52Speaker 1: the parking lot outside his new apartment complex, only ten
- 33:55Speaker 1: days after he testified in that trial. Dallas Assistant Chief
- 33:59Speaker 1: of Every Moore says they have three suspects. We have
- 34:01Speaker 1: identified three suspects and the Joshua Brown murder. All three
- 34:06Speaker 1: suspects came from the Alexandria, Louisiana to purchase drugs from
- 34:12Speaker 1: Joshua Brown. Thaddeus Green shot Joshua Brown two times. There's
- 34:18Speaker 1: been speculation and rumors claiming that mister Brown's death was
- 34:21Speaker 1: related to the Amber Geiger trial and somehow the Dallas
- 34:25Speaker 1: Police Department was responsible. That is simply not true. Well,
- 34:29Speaker 1: some members of the community are still doubtful about that, though,
- 34:32Speaker 1: insisting the cops have planted drugs and set people up
- 34:34Speaker 1: to be killed before one suspects and custody while the
- 34:37Speaker 1: other two were still being sought. A West Palm Beast
- 34:40Speaker 1: judge who thought it was appropriate the sentence a gainfully
- 34:43Speaker 1: employed young black man who took care of his grandfather
- 34:45Speaker 1: to ten days in jail just because he overslept and
- 34:48Speaker 1: missus first day of jury duty, claims he had a
- 34:51Speaker 1: change of mind. However, there was a national outcry over
- 34:54Speaker 1: that decision. Most lawyers pointed out that when something like
- 34:57Speaker 1: that happens, the penalty is usually just a fine. Judge
- 35:00Speaker 1: John Costa Nakis called himself teaching twenty one year old
- 35:04Speaker 1: DeAndre some Ofville a lesson by giving him a quote
- 35:06Speaker 1: taste of jail. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar not the only legislator
- 35:10Speaker 1: to see Costa Nakis's action as one of the ways
- 35:13Speaker 1: the criminal justice system tries to give young black men
- 35:16Speaker 1: records as soon as possible. In the wake of intense
- 35:18Speaker 1: national criticism, cost Nakis now says he'll have some Ofville's
- 35:22Speaker 1: sentence vacated. Before this, some Ofville had no record. The
- 35:26Speaker 1: Trump Whitehouse says it's refusing to cooperate with the quote
- 35:29Speaker 1: baseless on constitutional congressional impeachment and curee. That's a quote
- 35:33Speaker 1: from the letter. Yesterday, the State Department said that US
- 35:36Speaker 1: Ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sandal, would not be
- 35:39Speaker 1: allowed to testify, even though Solomon, who was a big
- 35:42Speaker 1: Trump's political supporter, had flown here from Europe to testify,
- 35:45Speaker 1: and Elliot Ingle, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee,
- 35:48Speaker 1: tells NPR, that's the wrong attitude. Obstruction of Congress was
- 35:51Speaker 1: one of the things that impeached Richard Nixon. We'd rather
- 35:54Speaker 1: not use it or anything else. We would rather find
- 35:57Speaker 1: out the truth, and we demand that they not stop
- 36:01Speaker 1: people from coming to or to testify. We're not accepting
- 36:04Speaker 1: what this administration has done, and if anyone fails to
- 36:07Speaker 1: cooperate with this inquiry, will consider it obstruction and we'll
- 36:11Speaker 1: presume they have something to hide and we'll move on
- 36:13Speaker 1: from there. The sentence for these these they sentence for
- 36:16Speaker 1: Disease Control says more than a thousand cases of vaporing
- 36:19Speaker 1: related illnesses have now taken pack. Today is moldy Cheese Day.
- 36:25Speaker 1: That's right. Now back to more Steve with Steve's daughter
- 36:28Speaker 1: Brandy twenty after the hour on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:32Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Well, our special guest today is
- 36:37Speaker 1: Steve's daughter, Brandy Harvey, and we're talking to Brandy about
- 36:41Speaker 1: our brand new book. It's called Breakthrough, sold separately. We'll
- 36:44Speaker 1: also talk about some interesting father daughter stuff. So Brandy,
- 36:48Speaker 1: let's get back to it now. Tell us a little
- 36:50Speaker 1: bit more, you know, thank you. It really is not
- 36:54Speaker 1: just about you know, there are so many ways that
- 36:56Speaker 1: we can have breakthroughs in our lives, you know, and
- 36:59Speaker 1: they come from really first taking one hundred percent responsibility
- 37:03Speaker 1: for your life, you know, losing the victims story, the
- 37:06Speaker 1: woe is me, they did it to me story, you know,
- 37:09Speaker 1: and taking control of your life. And that's the mental control,
- 37:13Speaker 1: and we all have that ability to find that power
- 37:17Speaker 1: within us. But it's gonna take some faith, it's gonna
- 37:20Speaker 1: take some water walking in our lives. Girls. That's so wonderful.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I am so proud because what really makes me proud
- 37:29Speaker 1: is not just that this is just a body of
- 37:31Speaker 1: work that I've I've really spent you know, so many years,
- 37:35Speaker 1: you know, and my wellness Journey says I was nineteen
- 37:37Speaker 1: years old, you know, enhancing my wellness journey. But you know,
- 37:42Speaker 1: I took the healing journey. And I think that when
- 37:45Speaker 1: you began to uncover and heal your life so from
- 37:48Speaker 1: the inside out, that it's not just about how you
- 37:50Speaker 1: show up, you know, physically, but how do you show
- 37:53Speaker 1: up and be well in the world. You show up
- 37:55Speaker 1: as a light in the world. And I had to
- 37:57Speaker 1: go do some real healing. I committed to therapy. You know.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I made these very like really acute changes to my life,
- 38:06Speaker 1: you know, so I could dig up the roots, uncover
- 38:09Speaker 1: the problem, and I show up that's the highest version
- 38:12Speaker 1: of myself, you know, I really just wanted to show up.
- 38:15Speaker 1: That's the best version of me. And this book is
- 38:18Speaker 1: a how too, because it's how I did it. But
- 38:20Speaker 1: it's not to say that your journey is gonna look
- 38:22Speaker 1: like mine. It's supposed to be accustomed to your life
- 38:26Speaker 1: because everybody's boat is different. But when you, you know,
- 38:30Speaker 1: get out of the boat, God is there to meet
- 38:32Speaker 1: you on the water, you know, for your destiny to
- 38:35Speaker 1: propel you to the next level. And I'm so thankful
- 38:38Speaker 1: that my dad, you know, gave me the push. You know,
- 38:41Speaker 1: he let me go. He let me go as the
- 38:44Speaker 1: executive director of his foundation. But he knew that there
- 38:47Speaker 1: was something that I was supposed to do. I thank god. Yea,
- 38:54Speaker 1: if her damn brother make one moment stakes, I ain't
- 39:00Speaker 1: got no problem the surprises. I ain't fired time ass.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I cut my own daughter loose. But it was because
- 39:10Speaker 1: Brandy had other things in her And what I had
- 39:15Speaker 1: to let Brandy go and discover was what it was
- 39:18Speaker 1: to beat like you know, Marjorie says this all the time,
- 39:21Speaker 1: and I had to understand it. All of our children
- 39:24Speaker 1: wings work, They all all your kids wings work, but
- 39:31Speaker 1: you got to let them get out the nest to see. Okay, wait,
- 39:35Speaker 1: let's keep this breakthrough conversation going at thirty four after
- 39:39Speaker 1: the hour, Okay, we'll have more with Steve's daughter, Brandy
- 39:42Speaker 1: Harvey right after this. This is good. You're listening, all right,
- 39:49Speaker 1: Proud Papa, Steve, your oldest daughter, Brandy Harvey is our
- 39:53Speaker 1: special guest. We've been talking to Brandy about her brand
- 39:56Speaker 1: new book, Breakthrough, sold separately, and you guys were talking
- 39:59Speaker 1: about your father and daughter Breakthrough. So come on, Steve, Okay,
- 40:03Speaker 1: So Brandon, let's get back to this part right here.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Releasing her allowed her to become what she is to day.
- 40:11Speaker 1: She didn't need to be the head of the foundation.
- 40:14Speaker 1: She needed to be the head of her life, of
- 40:21Speaker 1: her part of a big part of Brandy's breakthrough, And
- 40:24Speaker 1: what can help a lot of people in this book
- 40:27Speaker 1: is you got to quit being the victims. And we
- 40:30Speaker 1: had a moment in my office one day where she
- 40:34Speaker 1: was sitting up there and was the victim and I
- 40:37Speaker 1: was just sitting there looking because I didn't raise them
- 40:40Speaker 1: to be victims. No, No, I raised them to be champions, leaders, absolutely, entrepreneurs,
- 40:47Speaker 1: feel as people you know, you know, And that's what
- 40:54Speaker 1: I did. And August twenty three, twenty seventeen, I was
- 40:58Speaker 1: I would let go from the found But August twenty third,
- 41:02Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, I sent this book off to the publisher
- 41:04Speaker 1: and so there is nothing but God in this story.
- 41:07Speaker 1: You know, nothing God two years to the day. And
- 41:12Speaker 1: so I'm so grateful because my dad's pushed propelled me
- 41:16Speaker 1: into my destiny. And so to even see here now,
- 41:19Speaker 1: to hold this conversation, I feel extremely honored. But I
- 41:23Speaker 1: know that there's a supernatural divine power that is working
- 41:27Speaker 1: in my life, and that everybody has that power within
- 41:30Speaker 1: them to transform their lives from the inside out. Yeah,
- 41:34Speaker 1: and you know, we as parents sometimes because we love
- 41:37Speaker 1: our children so much, we do have a tendency if
- 41:40Speaker 1: we don't let them go or in your case, Steve,
- 41:44Speaker 1: you know, release them as you say, fire them, or
- 41:47Speaker 1: whatever you want to call it, we will have a
- 41:50Speaker 1: tendency to enable our children and they will become dependent
- 41:53Speaker 1: upon us and resentful in all of that. So in
- 41:57Speaker 1: this instance it worked. Sometimes firing is good, you know.
- 42:01Speaker 1: And like you say, you can go on and reach
- 42:03Speaker 1: your destiny. And Brandy, You've always been deep and we
- 42:06Speaker 1: love you. I love the relationship you have with your dad.
- 42:10Speaker 1: She's such a great speaker, Brandy. You know, I've always
- 42:13Speaker 1: told you that I have always pulled Brandy. I want
- 42:16Speaker 1: Brandy to run for office. Where is this girl there's
- 42:22Speaker 1: a lot of girl. Your dad says the same thing, Brandy,
- 42:26Speaker 1: your dad says, great, we're gonna hold up. She a
- 42:30Speaker 1: great speaker. Yes, you haven't heard her spend No, you
- 42:33Speaker 1: have here. You think she did it from like this,
- 42:39Speaker 1: like like like this a new sprout. We're just letting
- 42:42Speaker 1: her have her shine, see shine. Nothing in this. You know,
- 42:50Speaker 1: he's a band one so much. I've learned so much
- 42:55Speaker 1: by watching my dad, you know, being such a peakt
- 42:58Speaker 1: of light in the community. But also you know, you
- 43:01Speaker 1: are signing an example of success. And so I've had
- 43:04Speaker 1: the blueprint in front of me. And so with this book,
- 43:07Speaker 1: you know, of the breakthrough. It really speaks to my
- 43:10Speaker 1: own personal breakthrough of how I had to get out
- 43:13Speaker 1: of the boat of mediocrity and walk on water. And
- 43:16Speaker 1: we all have that christlike potential. And I'm so excited
- 43:19Speaker 1: because the book is available today on Amazon. You can
- 43:23Speaker 1: once plick this book to your how I love it.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that. I'm gonna do it right now too.
- 43:30Speaker 1: The book is called This by Brandy Harvey Steve's Baby

- 45:55Speaker 1: who is it? Who is outfer Dane? I am Officer Daniels. Man,
- 45:58Speaker 1: here is your husband's actually been pulled over and he's
- 46:01Speaker 1: been uh actually he's in another officer's car. He's he's
- 46:06Speaker 1: a little bit of kneebriated here, and we're trying to
- 46:08Speaker 1: see about getting him picked up. I'm trying my best
- 46:11Speaker 1: not to take him in today, so I'm trying to
- 46:13Speaker 1: be a good Samaritan. I'm trying to get someone to
- 46:15Speaker 1: come and pick him up. Hold On, hold on, hold on, Becker, Becker,
- 46:19Speaker 1: you got my husband? Uh? What I got here on
- 46:22Speaker 1: the driver's license is Kenny Kenny, and he's with you now.

- 47:52Speaker 1: to see if I can give me a ride up
- 47:54Speaker 1: to the truck stop and I'll be back in a minute. Okay, man, listen,
- 47:57Speaker 1: I can't. I can't stay here too my longer. I can.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I can say maybe another fifteen twenty minute. Somebody come
- 48:03Speaker 1: to get the car, and but I gotta keep moving here.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I'm just trying to do it for another because here
- 48:08Speaker 1: I'm all my way. I'm all my way. I'm all
- 48:11Speaker 1: my way. I got my purse in my hand. I'm
- 48:14Speaker 1: all my way to that fuck stop, please don't take
- 48:17Speaker 1: that nowhere because I got something for his And when
- 48:21Speaker 1: I get there, I hope like hell, And ain't they

- 48:27Speaker 1: Leave for the attack. Get them because I got some
- 48:30Speaker 1: things that I need to take care of. This thing.

- 54:11Speaker 1: just like we're gonna read this one right here, right now.
- 54:13Speaker 1: We're baby, Baby, buggle up, but hold on tight. We
- 54:17Speaker 1: got it for you. Here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject I'm too sexy to have male friends.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a problem with how men
- 54:27Speaker 1: see me. I was married for twenty five years and
- 54:29Speaker 1: I got divorced three years ago and decided to move
- 54:32Speaker 1: to another state for a clean slate. I'm not looking
- 54:35Speaker 1: for a serious relationship right now. I want to enjoy
- 54:38Speaker 1: being single awhile, but I would like male companionship occasionally.
- 54:44Speaker 1: So here's my problem. I look younger than I am,
- 54:48Speaker 1: and apparently I uz sexiness. No matter how I'm dressed
- 54:52Speaker 1: or if I have a makeup or not. When I
- 54:55Speaker 1: meet a man, all he does is compliment me on
- 54:58Speaker 1: how I look, how sexy I am. I'm an all
- 55:02Speaker 1: natural woman, from my hair, to my breasts and to
- 55:05Speaker 1: my behind. Every man I meet in person or online
- 55:09Speaker 1: is only interested in seeing me naked. There is always
- 55:13Speaker 1: an innuendo about my body, or my lips or the
- 55:16Speaker 1: way I walk. I feel like a fantasy more so
- 55:19Speaker 1: than a woman. Men don't take me seriously, and I'm
- 55:22Speaker 1: not used to this treatment. When I was married, men
- 55:25Speaker 1: seem more interested in what I had to say to me.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I am average looking and I have a few flaws,
- 55:31Speaker 1: but I am funny, smart and loyal. Everyone who knows
- 55:35Speaker 1: me knows that I'm not a wild woman that seeks
- 55:38Speaker 1: attention from men. I don't know how I can turn
- 55:41Speaker 1: this sexy vibe off, but trying to find companionship has
- 55:44Speaker 1: been a disappointment. How do people not start out as
- 55:48Speaker 1: friends anymore? What can I do to get a man
- 55:50Speaker 1: to see pass my sexiness and pay attention to the
- 55:53Speaker 1: entire package? Wow? What a problem to have, a problem
- 56:00Speaker 1: to have all sexy and stuff. I mean, well, you
- 56:03Speaker 1: know men are visual, yes they are. But um, the
- 56:07Speaker 1: stuff you describe in the letter, all this sexual stuff,
- 56:10Speaker 1: these these things they're they're pointing your way. I think
- 56:14Speaker 1: it's uncalled for. Okay, it sounds like you're an attractive woman,
- 56:19Speaker 1: you're sexy, you're well put together. Um, you're confident, but
- 56:23Speaker 1: you just keep running into some real losers. I guess
- 56:26Speaker 1: at this point people that you're not interested in uh,
- 56:29Speaker 1: and what you want is a nice gentleman to take
- 56:32Speaker 1: you out to dinner, just to you know, maybe go
- 56:34Speaker 1: to the movies and stuff like that. So, UM, I
- 56:38Speaker 1: just think you need to change your game up, you know, online,
- 56:41Speaker 1: maybe go to UM because you say, these guys online
- 56:45Speaker 1: only want to see you naked, and the guys you
- 56:47Speaker 1: meet only want to see you naked. I'm not one
- 56:50Speaker 1: to um to blame the woman for what she has
- 56:54Speaker 1: on or anything like that. But you did mention your
- 56:57Speaker 1: your bud and your breasts and and and all of that.
- 57:01Speaker 1: So what are you wearing. I'm not blaming you. I'm
- 57:03Speaker 1: just trying to figure out, you know, what are you wearing?
- 57:06Speaker 1: Are you wearing? What are you what are you wearing?
- 57:09Speaker 1: I just want to know. But anyway, you can be sexy,
- 57:13Speaker 1: you can be attractive, you can be all those things.
- 57:17Speaker 1: I just think this caliber of men that you're attracting,
- 57:21Speaker 1: you probably need to go to other places. Go to
- 57:25Speaker 1: places where you can meet different types of men. That's
- 57:28Speaker 1: what I'm saying. If you have girlfriends, check out your girlfriends,
- 57:32Speaker 1: see where they're going to meet a different class of men.
- 57:35Speaker 1: I think that's what the issue is here, especially this
- 57:39Speaker 1: online dating site you're on. So talk to your friends,
- 57:43Speaker 1: your female friends, things like that, and even your male friends,
- 57:45Speaker 1: because you want to meet some classier guys, more gentlemen.
- 57:50Speaker 1: So you need to get in a group that where
- 57:52Speaker 1: gentlemen are basically Steve Well, you know, this letter is
- 58:05Speaker 1: a bit confusing because I agree with a lot of
- 58:07Speaker 1: what you were saying, Shirley, but we don't want to
- 58:10Speaker 1: read this letter. I'm too sexy to have male friends.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Now this woman has a problem with how men see her.
- 58:20Speaker 1: She told us that she was married for twenty five years,
- 58:22Speaker 1: divorce three years ago, decided to move to another state
- 58:26Speaker 1: for a clean slate. When you get a divorce and
- 58:29Speaker 1: move out to state for a clean slate, it's because
- 58:33Speaker 1: everybody knew y'all was married. Everybody knew him or something.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Y'all was popular. People don't get a divorce and move
- 58:40Speaker 1: out of state normally. So I'm assuming you were in
- 58:43Speaker 1: the spotlight or something to that effect, and you maybe
- 58:47Speaker 1: the word got out about the divorce. Maybe that was
- 58:49Speaker 1: some embarrassing things and you just wanted to startle, which
- 58:52Speaker 1: is a good move. Now, I'm not looking for a
- 58:54Speaker 1: serious relationship right now, so I want to enjoy being
- 58:57Speaker 1: single for a while. This is the key in the
- 59:00Speaker 1: whole letter. You're not looking for a serious relationship and
- 59:07Speaker 1: you want to enjoy being single. Well, if you're not
- 59:10Speaker 1: looking for a serious relationship, how can you attract a
- 59:13Speaker 1: serious relationship? And if you want to enjoy being single,
- 59:16Speaker 1: welcome to the single world, because this is what it
- 59:20Speaker 1: is now. But here's my problem. I look younger than
- 59:24Speaker 1: I am, and apparently I ooze sexiness no matter how
- 59:29Speaker 1: I'm dressed or no matter how I'm dressed, or have
- 59:33Speaker 1: makeup on or not. When I meet a man, all
- 59:35Speaker 1: he does is compliment me on how sexy I am.
- 59:39Speaker 1: I'm an all natural woman, from my hat to my
- 59:41Speaker 1: breast to my bead. She said, I ooze sexiness. Yeah
- 59:47Speaker 1: she did, she did. Yeah, you can't turn off six Hell,
- 59:53Speaker 1: I can't. Come on. I've been struggling with this problem girl,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: But that's where you are. What did he say? Nothing?
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Go ahead? Go ahead? No, she said, you can't turn
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: it off. He said me either with confidence, But he
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: didn't mean it. No, he didn't mean that. It just
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: came out. I'm so I just needed that's what you said?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: He No way in hell he could have meant that. Yeah,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: we'll be back with what the rest I think. All right,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: we're gonna have part two of Steve's response coming up
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hour. Subject of this very
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: confusing letter is called I'm too sexy to have male friends.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening to,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: The subject I'm too sexy to have male friends? Well
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: as far as we got was this woman been married
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: twenty five years, got a devote and she just got
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: a problem with how me and Sea. She moved to
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: another state. She's not looking for a serious relationship right now,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: and I want to be enjoyed being single for a while. Well,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: this whole letter does just that. Doug, You're not You
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: don't want a serious relationship now, and you want to
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: enjoy being single, Well, this whole letter is giving you that. See, ma'am,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: you can't. You can't won one thing then when you
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: get it, then don't want it. So here's the problem.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I look younger than I am apparently who's sex And
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: it's no matter how I'm dressed or if I have
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: on makeup or not. When I meet a man, all
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: he does is compliment me on how I look and
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: how sexy I am. I'm an all natural woman. From
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: my hat to my breast to my behind. Every man
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I meet in person or online is only interested in
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: seeing me naked. Let's stop right there. Every man you
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: meet online or in person is only interested in seeing
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: you naked. Now, I'm like Sherley, what do you have on? Now?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Listen to me. It don't take much I'll give it
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: to you. Look, men, we can be also ignorant at times.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I got it. So I'm not blaming you for what
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: you wear, but you're drawing, you're attracting the same comments
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: over and over and over. If you're attracting the same
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: comments all the time, I want to see you naked.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: You know then what you what you got on? That's
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: damn near got your naked. See something that's happening, man,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: And I don't know what it is, but I want
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: you to think about this. Then you say, as every
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: man I meet online, there's always an inny window about
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: my body or my lips or the way I walk. Now,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: if you online and somebody got something to say about
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: your body or the way you walk, it's cost that's
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: what you posted. Now. I'm sorry, man, but that's just
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: all to it. Now, I feel I feel like a
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: fantasy more than a woman. What Wow, Wow, that's that's
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a pretty cool problem to have. Yeah, I say, men
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: don't take me seriously, and I'm not used to this treatment.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: When I was married, men seem more interested in what
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: I had to say because they knew they couldn't get
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: to you. To me, I'm average looking, Okay, stop that.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: That's the way to try to bag it down a
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: little bit. But if you was average looking, you begetting
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: average ass request And I have a flute, few flaws. Man,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: we don't see him. But I'm funny, smart and loyal.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Everyone who knows me knows that I'm not a wild woman.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: That's probably true. That seeks attention from me, and I
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: don't know how I can turn this sexy vibe all
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: but now, see, listen to me. You don't see the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: attention to men, but you keep getting it. Now, if
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: you online and they only want to see your neck
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: and they're always complimenting the way you walk, I want
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: to see your neck and all this here, right here,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: right here, somebody is attracting the same thing because you're
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: exuding the same thing. See this sexiness that just uses
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: out you, that loses at you use it out of me.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: You know, honey draw flies, But then so do sugar
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: honey iced tea. Now you got to make up your mind,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: because you could do something about this. But if you're
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: saying you're not interested in a serious relationship, then guess
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: what nobody's gonna treat you seriously. If you say you
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: just want to enjoy the single life. This is what
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: single life is now. They're hitting on people. They hooking
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: up on apps, they hook it up on line. See
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: you've requested this in your letter. I don't wan't no
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: serious relationship. Antybody trying to get you one. They just
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: want to see you naked. You just said you ain't
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: want no serious relationship. See, words are very powerful. I
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: think people lose the sight of how powerful words are.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Stop saying things, and then when it comes back to you,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: you're mad because you got it. I'm not looking for
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: a serious relationship. Ain't nobody offering none. I just want
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: to enjoy the single life. This is what they're doing now.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: They're hooking up on tender, they they sex online apples.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: That's what you ask for. How can I turn this
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: sexy vibe off? Why don't you change your request? Why
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: don't you change your ambition now? If you don't want
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: to be in a relationship right now, I can understand that,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: then don't get in relationship situation. You're sitting down a
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: cross dinner from a man. He's gonna have, so he's
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: gonna want some kind of relationship now. So if you're
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: tired of being married, and tired of twenty five Just
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: go do you for a while? But you didn't invite
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: it all these men in because you want to have
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: some fun and all this If it's twenty five years later,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: baby champ, fund and change. What can I do to
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: get a man to see past my sexiness and pay
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: attention to the entire package? Tell these men that they
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: can only get they that you're only interested in a package.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Quit going on these meaningless says dates meaningly, meaningly meaningless
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: meaningless dates is going to result in meaningless results. Yeah,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I don't know how else is said to you, sir?
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: All right, Steve, we get it. Poster comments on Today's

- 1:09:47Speaker 1: My st been riddy. I had missed some cold outfit.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I didn't wear my leader. So he's cool with it.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: We're cool with it, right, yeah, all right, listen, coming
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, the judge and
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: the Amber Geiger murder trial defends hugging her at the sentencing.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: We'll talk about it at the top of the hour, right,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to District Judge Tammy Kemp, who
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: was a sister who presided over the Ambergeiger trial. She's
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: come at her fire for the compassion that she showed
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: last week to Ambergeiger. Of course, Ambergeiger was convicted of
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: murdering both of both of John. During Geiger's sentencing, the
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: victim's brother, Brent John, also wished her well and hugged
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: her talking about Amberg Geiger. Both Judge Kemp and Brent
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: John's actions have angered some in the African American community.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Judge Kemp said that Ambergeiger asked her twice for a hug.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: She hesitated the first time. Judge Kemp told NBC News,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I could not refuse that woman a hug. Take a listen.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I'm trying to look at the person beyond the act.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: This morning, District Judge Tammy Kemp speaking publicly for the
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: first time, sharing how the Amber Geiger murder trial changed
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: her and her courtroom forever. Yes, moments like when Brandt
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: John asked the judge if he could hug the woman
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: who killed his brother, not surprising an emotional hug, leading
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: to another from the judge yourself, I just said to her,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Miss Geiger, mister mister John has forgiven you. Please forgive
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: yourself so that you can live a purposeful life. And
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: she said, do you think my life can still have purpose?
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: And I said, I know it can. We the jury.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: After a jury convicted Geiger of murder and sentence her
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: to ten years, Kemp stepped away and returned with a Bible,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: handing it to Geiger, who asked for a hug before
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: going to prison. Your job is to do justice, to love, mercy,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: and walk humbly. So how can you not hug this lady?
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: So we hugged. I felt somebody who was incredibly fragile. Wow, yeah, yeah, See,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: you know it's things like this. Uh, we are in
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: such a world of hate now that any acts of
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: compassion and love it's almost startling. Because we've accepted hate
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: and and and boycotting and lawsuits and and and dislikes
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: and all this, we've accepted it as the norm. We
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: accepted from the White House now that that's the norm.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: So when you see in any act of compassion, any
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: act of love, any act of forgiveness, what we're we're appalled.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: How dare you that that's what the world we've come
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: to man, do you do you realize that we're in
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: a world now where any act of love, forgiveness or
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: kindness it we are apart. The world is appalled at that.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: When it used to be we were appalled at evil
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: doing Now do good, and not only do we get
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: appalled at it, you get hated for doing it. This
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: is a different day we're living in, man. That's that's
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: what I gather from this. That's what I see when
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: I see this, man. I mean, because man, they can't
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: wait till lace to judge both of them's brother. I mean,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: they're talking to this boy like he ain't lost his brother. R.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: You don't know how he feels. You have no idea.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: That's hard, man. Yeah, we definitely as I saw that
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: that interview too as well. And a judge was saying
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: she thought the embrace was okay because the trial was
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: over as well. You know she didn't do it during
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: the proceedings. Oh that's right. You know she's been sentenced.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You know this ain't no. I'm gonna hug you and
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: then now let me get you a light a sentence.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: The sentence was passed down by the Jewelry. Yeah, there's
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: nothing you can do. What did the judge do wrong?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: And the judge gave her a Bible so you can
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: have a purposeful life, She said, do you think my
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: life can steal? Have purpose? This woman just killed somebody? Man,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: don't you know the hell this woman? Fitney catch. She's
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: going to prison as a police officer. You can't have
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: a worse state going to prison as a police officer. Man, yeah,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: disc man please, wow? Yeah. All right, Well we're on
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: the switch gears here coming up, more music, more trending

- 1:18:09Speaker 1: meet you. You know what. We were just talking and normally,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: you know, we don't ask people, uh and I don't
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: want to be disrespectful, like of age, what their dreams are?
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: You know what I mean. We usually reserve that for
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: younger people who have the majority of their life ahead
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: of them. But we wanted to take the time, since
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: you're here, to ask you because, um, surely you still
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: have some dreams. Well, I'll see, when people get around
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: my age, they don't call them dreams anymore. They call
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: them bucket list. Oh yeah, all right, good bye. See
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: that's the difference what you want to hear them do.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: That's what at this age you need to start scratching
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: stuff off. You ain't that kind of build that tell
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: us yeah all your building us it done. Yeah, you
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: didn't need to get some money out of the bank
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: and gone and going over there and see it all right,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: So what's on your bucket list? Sister Adell? Thinking about
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: man Lebron James. Now James though, you're just thinking, yeah,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Old Dale James. You know they said it to be
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: easy if I married that wide receiver from the Browns,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Old b j. Because then my name is already old
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: and then his name junior, Olddell Beckham Junior, and c
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: be just Old Dale. Coming up our last break of
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: the day, and of course some closing remarks from the
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: one and only, our fearless leader. He's so smart, we
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: love him, Steve Harvey right after this, you're listening to
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: show all right, it's been a good hump day. Huh yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: I think so right, Dirt, Yeah, that's what I was
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: waiting for, a Steve, that's what dirty Where Well, we're
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: on our way to Canco yeah yeah, yeah, And so
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: going back to Indian Indiana. Here Coon yeah, yeah, thank you.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: I appreciate I need this, man, I see you down there.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Let's get on out of here so we can get going.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Get these steaks going, all right, Steve, Yeah, you know
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: I kind of mentioned it earlier, but you know, just
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: as a closer remark, I want to say this, And
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: you know, I've been thinking about this, both of them,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: John thing for so long, the reaction of social media
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: to this young boy who offer gave this police officer
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: for killing his brother and then ask for a hug.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: And I've read a lot of the things and watched
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: the comments about the judge coming off to stand and
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: hugging this police officer who killed this young man, and everybody,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I mean, man, everybody's upset about this, and it seems
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: like but you know, I just wanted to say this,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: and let me tell you something, Man, if you want
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: to be upset about it, I understand. If you're a
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: person who couldn't hug somebody who killed your brother, I
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: understand I do, because I don't. I don't even know
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: that I would have that in me. I know at
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: that particular moment I probably wouldn't, but the fact that
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I didn't have it in me don't mean that that
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: young man can't have it in him. And as we
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: were talking the other day, and I kept listening to
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: a lot of men say you're a better man than me.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: And the dude that said it was forty eight and
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: wanted to do said it was thirty, and another dude
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: said it was fifty. And I'm sitting up here at
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: sixty two and I'm listening to everybody talk about, well,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: he's a better man than me. And that made me
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: start to think, Wow, at eighteen, he's already a better
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: man than us. Man, what have we been doing wrong?
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: And I just started thinking about that. But the outcry
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: of hatred and the social media that's going towards this judge,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: it just caused me to think about this thing again. Man,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: our world is so filled with hatred. Now. This is
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: probably the most hateful this world has ever been. I know,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: it's the most one of the most hateful times I've
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: lived in, even though at times for blacks weren't great.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: When I was a kid, I was sheltered from it
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: to a degree. You know, I saw it on TV.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: I knew my parents were sitting in at lunch counters
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: and my brothers was nationalists and panthers, and you know,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: I was feeling some kind of way, especially when they
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: killed doctor King, and I started feeling a disappointment and
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: a dislike for people who didn't like us, and where
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: everybody went through that. But this is the most hateful, outward,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: hateful time and for us as black people, we've seen
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: many of these years. I don't know which is worse,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: you know, because slavery was definitely one of the greatest
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: atrocities ever perpetrated against a human group of people. Ever,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: that's not to knock any other trocity because the Holocaust
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: was certainly right there, and I'm pretty sure the Asian
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: Americans feel the same way about being in the encamped
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: in prisons also doing the war. So I'm not comparing it.
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: I'm just saying slavery was vicious. Now we live in
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: a very hateful time today, and it's so hateful that
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: and we've accepted the hatred as normal to the point
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: everybody where if anybody does anything kind, if somebody hugs somebody,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: if somebody forgives somebody, if somebody gives somebody a Bible,
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: if somebody tells them they love them, guess what that's
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: not the norm anymore, and it's actually frowned upon. You
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: actually get hated on for doing something that's an act
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: of love. Now, what this young man did. It shocked
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: the courtroom. There were people crying in that court. The
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: judge was crying. He was crying. She was. But man,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: he forgave her. Whether he forgave her at the trial,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: if he gave her ten years later, he did it
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: that day. He was a better man than most of us.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: We all keep saying that. So let's give him credit
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: for being a better man. What's the hate for? What's
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: the hate of the judge? For the sentence had already
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: been passed down. The jury came back and gave her
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: the years. The judge stepped out the thing hooked and
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: gave her a Bible and told her that she has
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: a chance to make something out of her life. That
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: woman said, you still think I could make something out
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: of my life? Do you know that this woman is
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: going to prison as a police officer. You know what's
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: fitting to happen to this girl. It ain't no way
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: around that. That's the rules of prison. This girl friend
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: to pay. And the fact that you don't know what's
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: gonna happen, and you want her to pay with more
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: years and all that. It ain't really up to us
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: all the time, y'all. We have got to start treating
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: we have got to stop treating acts of kindness, love,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: and forgiveness like it'sn't like it's something evil, like it's
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: something wrong, the very thing we should be applauding. It's
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: the thing that we've now grown to hate kindness, love,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: and forgiveness. It's supposed to be the other way around.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: It really is. Just think about that, y'all, because I've
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: been forced to think about it since I said he's
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: a better man than me, And how he got to
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: be a better man than me at eighteen and I'm
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: sixty two kind of threw me a little bit. I'm
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: gonna just be real with you. Those are my closing remarks. Yep,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: drop it, baby dropping like yeah say that. Yeah, y'all
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: have a good kids. Think I'm not. Yeah, see all
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: your golf scores when you get back. You understand me, sir.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: We gotta man put put ease. Everybody hit the balls.
