- 0:14Speaker 1: just like the milking buck bus things in its tubbles.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Y'all good it. Steve har listening to the movie Together
- 0:26Speaker 1: for Studley. I don't join by join me, be doing me, Honey.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta turn, you gotta turn to turn, got to
- 1:43Speaker 1: turn them out. Then turn the water, the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your back that, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now wanting only Steve Harvey man old man,
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Yeah, I do. God so big
- 2:13Speaker 1: to me, man, I just have to tell you about it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I can't help it. It's rather obvious to me how big,
- 2:21Speaker 1: how good God is. He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain.
- 2:27Speaker 1: He on one, he'd be clowning, he'd be just showing out. Man.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm just over here, just on receiving it. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:43Speaker 1: mission today? What are you waiting for? Why do we
- 2:49Speaker 1: as people delay what we want or delay the process
- 2:58Speaker 1: to begin what we want? On our hopes, our dreams,
- 3:02Speaker 1: our desires. Why won't you start your mission today? Why
- 3:06Speaker 1: don't we all decide together that just individually. Look, you're listening.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You got something that you've been dreaming about. You got
- 3:16Speaker 1: an ambition of yours that's not yet fulfilled. You got
- 3:19Speaker 1: goals you haven't accomplished yet. Everybody has them, everybody's got
- 3:24Speaker 1: on them. Everybody's got something that's that's on the table
- 3:28Speaker 1: that they haven't yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Start your mission today? Stop the procrastination now, the procrastination
- 3:38Speaker 1: is only hurting you yourself. If you got a goal
- 3:42Speaker 1: or aspiration, a dream and you fall off track momentarily,
- 3:47Speaker 1: you can get back to that because God know where
- 3:50Speaker 1: you're left off. Now. You may have to accomplish a
- 3:53Speaker 1: few more things since you stop for a long period
- 3:55Speaker 1: of time, but God know where you left off. You
- 3:58Speaker 1: can get back on track. Look, man, this dream of
- 4:01Speaker 1: being on TV since I was a kid, and it
- 4:04Speaker 1: got off track. Now it got off track. I just
- 4:07Speaker 1: kept it as one of the dreams. And in some
- 4:10Speaker 1: real dog moments when it looked like it wasn't gonna happen,
- 4:14Speaker 1: all I was hanging on too was just the hope
- 4:17Speaker 1: that one day it could. But that's what faith is
- 4:20Speaker 1: really about. Faith is the belief in things that you
- 4:23Speaker 1: cannot see. But faith gives you the confidence to keep hoping. Man,
- 4:29Speaker 1: sometime it just keep hope alive. Sometimes, you heard Jesse
- 4:33Speaker 1: Jackson said, just keep hope alive. Sometimes, Man, it's just
- 4:36Speaker 1: the hope. I was hanging on the hope. And I'm
- 4:41Speaker 1: talking about when it got real ugly and funky out
- 4:44Speaker 1: there for me, when it looked like I wasn't gonna
- 4:46Speaker 1: ever make it, and all of the facts was in
- 4:50Speaker 1: and everything pointed in the direction you're not gonna make it.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You didn't really messed up this time. Then I sat
- 4:56Speaker 1: there and I just hung on to the hope. But man,
- 5:01Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. If you got a dream on
- 5:04Speaker 1: aspiration of vision or something, when you fall off track
- 5:08Speaker 1: and you want to go get back in line, God
- 5:11Speaker 1: holds your place. See he held on to that fum me.
- 5:15Speaker 1: He knew I was off tracking how the line, but
- 5:17Speaker 1: he said, okay, here's where we stopped. You want to
- 5:20Speaker 1: be on TV that when you get it together and
- 5:22Speaker 1: you quit tripping and you come in your turn to me,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna hold your place, put you back in line.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Then we're gonna finish the journey that took me a
- 5:28Speaker 1: lot longer to get here than I wanted to. But
- 5:31Speaker 1: then it was necessary because I needed all of the
- 5:33Speaker 1: mishaps to happen to me along the way. So when
- 5:36Speaker 1: I got on the radio one day, which I did
- 5:38Speaker 1: not see coming, Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's why I say it every day. See, because of
- 5:43Speaker 1: this radio show that I didn't see coming. Now I
- 5:46Speaker 1: have stories to tell, I got experiences to share, and
- 5:52Speaker 1: I can tell you about me better than I can
- 5:53Speaker 1: tell you about anybody. And I've been through enough where
- 5:57Speaker 1: it's relatable, where enough people can go. Man, that happened
- 6:01Speaker 1: to me. Appreciate you saying that that's what it was for. See,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I get it now. See at the time, though I
- 6:06Speaker 1: didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 6:09Speaker 1: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 6:12Speaker 1: lot of stuff he was pulling off on me, But
- 6:15Speaker 1: in essence, I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 6:21Speaker 1: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 6:26Speaker 1: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 6:30Speaker 1: there indeed wrong. He forgave me. He said, because, man,
- 6:35Speaker 1: if you ever come to me, I have a plan
- 6:38Speaker 1: for you that it is going to be far and above.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what
- 6:46Speaker 1: I did. I just got sick of me, good and
- 6:49Speaker 1: sick of me, and I turned it over to God.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And then God started working and here I am today.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Now see threw it me yet? Nope? Have I arrived?
- 7:00Speaker 1: I have jet Nope? But guess what the journey is cool?
- 7:05Speaker 1: You know. It's like I was talking to this young
- 7:06Speaker 1: brother the other day about comedy and he's really good
- 7:10Speaker 1: stand up. You know, this young dude is really good.
- 7:13Speaker 1: He said, Man, what is this I feel every night
- 7:16Speaker 1: before I go on stage. I don't know what it is.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I just wanted off me, I said, sir, listen to me,
- 7:23Speaker 1: you young dude. This thing that climbs on my back
- 7:27Speaker 1: every night before I go on stage. I don't know
- 7:29Speaker 1: what it is. It's got something to do with pressure,
- 7:33Speaker 1: It's got something to do with anticipation. It's got a
- 7:36Speaker 1: whole lot to do with the fear of falling. He said,
- 7:38Speaker 1: what you mean by that. I said. Every night I
- 7:41Speaker 1: walk out on stage, it's like I'm about to go
- 7:44Speaker 1: and step off a cliff. I said, it's a sickening feeling.
- 7:48Speaker 1: He said, man, but you do so well. I said,
- 7:50Speaker 1: that's because the parachute opens. I say, but I want
- 7:53Speaker 1: you to understand something. When I first walk out there,
- 7:56Speaker 1: it's just stepping off the cliff. Now these jokes provide
- 8:00Speaker 1: a parachute which slows my descent when I jump off
- 8:05Speaker 1: the cliff, and I turned it into a glide. And
- 8:08Speaker 1: then I take the audience this way and I swing
- 8:10Speaker 1: them back over that way. We might swing out to
- 8:13Speaker 1: the Colorado Rockies. We may go down to Miami with
- 8:17Speaker 1: this joke. We may take it on out to LA
- 8:19Speaker 1: and I just swing back and forth till I land softly.
- 8:22Speaker 1: The crowd cheers. The night is over with, I said,
- 8:26Speaker 1: but it's been too many nights though. When I walked
- 8:28Speaker 1: off that cliff and I pulled the cord in, the
- 8:30Speaker 1: parachute didn't open. I said. Now I'm just free falling
- 8:34Speaker 1: out there for thirty minutes. Ain't no jokes working. Ain't
- 8:37Speaker 1: the parachute didn't open. I said, So see, that's what
- 8:40Speaker 1: it's like for me. And then you know what I
- 8:43Speaker 1: found out. If you don't walked off the cliff in life,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and you ain't got no God in your life, it's
- 8:49Speaker 1: like not having a parachute. You step off the cliff
- 8:53Speaker 1: and you just free falling. Now see we all now
- 8:57Speaker 1: that fall gets you closer to the grave, right, See,
- 9:00Speaker 1: we all head into the grave from the moment we're born.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But the cool thing about a relationship with God is
- 9:05Speaker 1: when you step off the cliff and you got God
- 9:08Speaker 1: here a parachute. You're still going down, but it's a
- 9:12Speaker 1: nice ride, and God just helps your your descent appear
- 9:16Speaker 1: more like a rise and then more like a euphoric
- 9:19Speaker 1: fall instead of not having no God in your life
- 9:23Speaker 1: and you just walking off that cliff every day, free falling.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Ain't got no core, you steady pulling, you hauling the
- 9:30Speaker 1: whole way because you messed around with yourself and ain't
- 9:33Speaker 1: let God come into your life and provide a parachute
- 9:36Speaker 1: for you. I would rather have a parachute since I
- 9:40Speaker 1: got to jump every day than to not have one.
- 9:43Speaker 1: God has been like a parachute from me. Ask me
- 9:47Speaker 1: why where that came from? I can't tell you. But
- 9:50Speaker 1: like I always say, most good things that happened in
- 9:53Speaker 1: my life that I can't explain. It's usually him. You're
- 9:57Speaker 1: listening show, ladies and gentlemen. Here it is there. It
- 10:05Speaker 1: gold Dad when Dad was him? Is again one more
- 10:12Speaker 1: get Hill. Look at there, boy boy, you better say that.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I decided just now that the urban qualities in me
- 10:25Speaker 1: were going to exhale, and I just let them go
- 10:29Speaker 1: be about it. You know what I'm saying. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:33Speaker 1: Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. My name is
- 10:37Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. The following people are members of the team.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry. Oh what are you talking about? Good morning? Yeah,
- 10:48Speaker 1: We're gonna just start right there with the good morning
- 10:50Speaker 1: party anywhere about the rest of that college Good morning, Steve.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Where now junior morning? I'm in here? Yeah, and and
- 11:03Speaker 1: and our food big dog dog. I'm in the building
- 11:06Speaker 1: back Noah, Okay, that I got Yeah, yeah, Charlie, don't
- 11:10Speaker 1: even worry about that earlier part. That was just okay,
- 11:13Speaker 1: that was way too ethnic for you. Obviously, It's like, yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 1: to morning, this is horrible. So it is twenty years
- 11:26Speaker 1: later here I am, well, it is here, still confused.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Years later, I'm still here. Yeah. This is the twentieth
- 11:36Speaker 1: year of the Steve Harvey morn Yeah Sea very Morning show.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Years started in La syndicated to Dallas. Then that went
- 11:46Speaker 1: back just to LA and then they hired these people
- 11:52Speaker 1: and said we're getting rid of him, and then they
- 11:55Speaker 1: had to shut their hold down station down. And you
- 12:00Speaker 1: know what, I've been got rid of sometimes in my career.
- 12:05Speaker 1: But the thing about getting rid of me is when
- 12:08Speaker 1: you when you, when you get rid of me, not
- 12:10Speaker 1: for I fail to anything, because you have nasty alternatives
- 12:15Speaker 1: or motives. I should say, you have to be very
- 12:19Speaker 1: careful because I happen to be, as are millions of others,
- 12:25Speaker 1: a child of the Most High. And so when you
- 12:30Speaker 1: come to handle me, in the words of Bishop TD Jake's,
- 12:35Speaker 1: you gots to be careful how you handle men. You
- 12:39Speaker 1: got to be careful because you you'll see you see
- 12:43Speaker 1: you think it's just me, but it never is. Hello.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And so everybody that's ever done me wrong and and
- 12:52Speaker 1: and and gotten rid of me for an unjust cause
- 12:54Speaker 1: or an evil motive, all of them, every last one
- 12:58Speaker 1: of them, I watched it all go awrid. So we
- 13:02Speaker 1: are celebrating twenty years of how you like me? Laughing?
- 13:12Speaker 1: What Mike Jones used to say? What say? Dan didn't
- 13:17Speaker 1: know me? Now I'm hot, y'all loane me? Come on
- 13:21Speaker 1: back then didn't know me? Now I'm hot, y'all loan me? Yeah?
- 13:25Speaker 1: And who says how you like me? Now? All right? Listen?
- 13:34Speaker 1: Coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour rot
- 13:36Speaker 1: product or brand reminds you of your childhood home? Think
- 13:41Speaker 1: about that. We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening,
- 13:47Speaker 1: all right, guys, here's a question, what product or what
- 13:51Speaker 1: brand reminds you of your childhood home? All right? Here's
- 13:54Speaker 1: an email from Tea from New Orleans. It says, Hey,
- 13:57Speaker 1: morning crew. Every time I see the Quaker oatmeal bottle
- 14:02Speaker 1: the box, I think of my mom's house when I
- 14:05Speaker 1: was a kid. She always had a box of it
- 14:07Speaker 1: on top of our refrigerator. When I go to visit
- 14:11Speaker 1: my pop's house, he always had a box of frosted
- 14:13Speaker 1: Flakes frosted Flakes cereal in his pantry. In fact, uh,
- 14:18Speaker 1: he probably does right now with brand or product? Did
- 14:21Speaker 1: your childhood home always have in stock? I got a
- 14:28Speaker 1: bunch of I knew it ready for me. What like,
- 14:33Speaker 1: what Steve? You go first? Comment comment yea a green
- 14:40Speaker 1: asshole can a comment with the peel off top with
- 14:42Speaker 1: the eight holes in the top. Yea, and washed all
- 14:46Speaker 1: your sinks in your bathtub out. But let it sit, though,
- 14:49Speaker 1: let it sit for any change the color ain't open
- 14:55Speaker 1: up refrigerator while seeing an open box of arm and
- 14:58Speaker 1: hammer Baker soul. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah you stove that
- 15:10Speaker 1: maxwell or folders coffee can with the grease. Yes, yes,
- 15:17Speaker 1: it's real thick. Yeah yeah, in the in the bathroom
- 15:23Speaker 1: crash toothpasteh you cres no, we wasn't really cresh Yeah. Yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: we had that too. We was whatever was on sale.
- 15:34Speaker 1: People can jump in and say this thoughe though ultra bright.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I thought that was just the greatest thing ahead. If
- 15:48Speaker 1: we ran out of that toothpaste, then we go to
- 15:51Speaker 1: that fridge with that vacon soda wood and going in
- 15:53Speaker 1: get yeah yeah and dip that tooth Yeah. I actually
- 15:57Speaker 1: brushed my teeth better with bacon. Hello. Yeah, yeah, all right.
- 16:03Speaker 1: How about this tied laundry detergent tied tied to have
- 16:08Speaker 1: some time Ivory's that ain't that liquid? That's washing powder?
- 16:15Speaker 1: We have that's right frown and the big blue box
- 16:23Speaker 1: damn fair, but you didn't. Did you have ivory soap though?
- 16:27Speaker 1: Did you have ivory soap to take your bath? Die? Dial?
- 16:31Speaker 1: You had died? We had a we had ivory soap? Yeah?
- 16:36Speaker 1: Were it floated in the water? Ivory? Yeah? Okay, let's
- 16:39Speaker 1: go in the bathroom and up underneath that counter. It's
- 16:42Speaker 1: a little red crip can got some grease in it
- 16:45Speaker 1: called royal crown. Huh what all your scalf with that
- 16:49Speaker 1: right there? Yeah, that's how I got my hands. We're
- 16:55Speaker 1: in the bathroom. We're in the bathroom. Yeah, yeah, we're
- 16:58Speaker 1: in the bathroom. Scott single plot. You had to be
- 17:09Speaker 1: careful wiping yourself with that damn single play man. I
- 17:16Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times I misjudged and pushed
- 17:21Speaker 1: my frangle. Okay, yeah we got it. Yeah, we got
- 17:29Speaker 1: that single single plo. My daddy loved that. Boy. You
- 17:34Speaker 1: get a thousand sheep? Yeah? Yeah? Wait, do y'all remember
- 17:42Speaker 1: aim as the striping? Yeah? Yeah, we strip gleam Uh huh.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I got on that bottle that hung on the back
- 17:56Speaker 1: of the door. Looked like a hot water bottle with
- 17:58Speaker 1: tube on it and a spring dollar. Boy me, my
- 18:02Speaker 1: nephew got to ask whooping our life. One time we
- 18:05Speaker 1: feel that my mama had went on and we found
- 18:09Speaker 1: it on the back of the door. We'd always wondered
- 18:11Speaker 1: what it was, so we put water in it, and
- 18:13Speaker 1: we found out that it's that the water squeezed through
- 18:16Speaker 1: them little holes on that white til. So we're chasing
- 18:19Speaker 1: each other around the house water hurting each other. Okay.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Then he fill up the bag and it was my
- 18:27Speaker 1: time to have and then he have it under his arm.
- 18:30Speaker 1: My mama came in that house. My mama said it
- 18:34Speaker 1: was all this vinegar in him. Now we didn't even know.
- 18:39Speaker 1: We didn't know nothing about no vinegar smells. She said,
- 18:42Speaker 1: what is all this vinegar? I smelled in this house? Now?
- 18:45Speaker 1: Were sawing out, Oh that ain't not so cool. We
- 18:47Speaker 1: were working water well, we sat there. My mama got
- 18:51Speaker 1: to do in the mouth and went back in now
- 18:54Speaker 1: and touched that hot water bottle with the holes on it,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and boy, we got our asked and then so we
- 19:05Speaker 1: didn't even know why we got beat. And then my
- 19:07Speaker 1: brother was talking to it. Ain't man, Yeah, let me
- 19:12Speaker 1: ask you something stick? What is that? Grandmama was what wallabout?
- 19:17Speaker 1: Said na? We was playing water girl with it? He said, boy,
- 19:20Speaker 1: you know what that right back? Yeah, I don't know
- 19:23Speaker 1: what I mean. He said, that's a lady's bag. And
- 19:30Speaker 1: then I said, I don't, but what what because I'm
- 19:33Speaker 1: clueless what you mean? It's a lady's bag, that's a
- 19:37Speaker 1: douche bag. Really still, I'm clueless. Boy, My damn brother
- 19:46Speaker 1: told me what that bag was. Man, I'm shooting water
- 19:55Speaker 1: in my mouth. I'm five, Oh blast, I got the
- 20:01Speaker 1: bag under my mouth wide over down. That's what I
- 20:09Speaker 1: said that I first found out. I water a little
- 20:12Speaker 1: tangy in now, Oh my god, because you know, because
- 20:20Speaker 1: you know, they had a special solution. They put it
- 20:22Speaker 1: in you put vinegan it too, and that's what we
- 20:25Speaker 1: know that I had no idea. All Right, We're moving on.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Thank you. Next your nephew right after this man You're
- 20:43Speaker 1: listening show coming up at the top of the hour,

- 21:51Speaker 1: a thirting quarterback. He works real hard, like that's that's position. Okay,
- 21:55Speaker 1: let me let me say it. Already know that my
- 21:58Speaker 1: son DeAndre is wade better than your son. I they
- 22:01Speaker 1: I already know that all right now. I didn't get
- 22:03Speaker 1: to excuse you. No it don't excuse me. I'm not
- 22:06Speaker 1: gonna excuse myself about this. I've been waiting to get

- 22:29Speaker 1: son is gonna take my son pausing on the team.
- 22:31Speaker 1: How do you even have my number I got? I
- 22:33Speaker 1: got your number from a reliable start. What are the
- 22:35Speaker 1: parents gave me your number? But what's like, what kind
- 22:38Speaker 1: of mental problems you got calling my house telling me
- 22:41Speaker 1: about how your son is. So your son is like
- 22:43Speaker 1: not barely even on the team. He's not even starting. Okay, No,
- 22:46Speaker 1: my son ain't starting. Okay, well he gonna be starting
- 22:49Speaker 1: next year. Okay, but I know what you did for
- 22:52Speaker 1: your son to be started. Trust me. I know what
- 22:54Speaker 1: you did. Can I didn't do anything. My son earned
- 22:57Speaker 1: his position. So, I mean, I don't really get what
- 23:00Speaker 1: you're saying here. You're talking about talking some big game
- 23:02Speaker 1: about your son taking my son's position. Like, first of all,
- 23:06Speaker 1: I don't even know who you are. I don't know
- 23:07Speaker 1: how you got my number. Like these these these are kids.
- 23:10Speaker 1: It's not it's really not that serious, like their kids
- 23:12Speaker 1: out there having a good time, trying to play a game.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Like I haven't seen you at a game. I don't know,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I don't know what you could think. You are stepping
- 23:22Speaker 1: up being like my son is gonna take your son's position?
- 23:25Speaker 1: Like what kind of being crazy are you? You're calling
- 23:28Speaker 1: me out of nowhere, out of that, You're calling me nowhere,
- 23:30Speaker 1: out of the clear blue. I'm just minding my business.
- 23:33Speaker 1: My son is playing this game. Who the are you
- 23:35Speaker 1: and why are you calling me like I ain't been
- 23:38Speaker 1: to no games, but I'm a bead on next season?
- 23:40Speaker 1: I video Okay, okay, I mean you could try. You
- 23:43Speaker 1: could try. You right now want to come to your
- 23:45Speaker 1: son's still ain't certain, but let's go on. Get you
- 23:48Speaker 1: the reason why I call you. I already know why
- 23:50Speaker 1: your son start, So that's going on start? What what? No?
- 23:55Speaker 1: My son is starting because he earned his position. He's
- 23:57Speaker 1: the best on the team. You you are kind of
- 24:01Speaker 1: you're saying that, Cannis, But are you so your son
- 24:03Speaker 1: ain't starting because maybe you maybe you slept, maybe you
- 24:06Speaker 1: slept with coach Briant. What wait, excuse you? Like, did
- 24:11Speaker 1: you did you did you sleep with coach Brian, so
- 24:13Speaker 1: you'll soon. Did you get that position? Did you do that?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Your mama slept with coach with coach Brian with her drive,
- 24:19Speaker 1: that's why your son ain't playing. Who the do you
- 24:22Speaker 1: think you are? Accusing me of sleeping with a coach. Hey, Hey,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just letting you know. I know what
- 24:27Speaker 1: you did for ya. You don't know, you don't know,
- 24:30Speaker 1: you don't know. Okay, So so so you you singing
- 24:33Speaker 1: you a seven coach brand, that's what you're saying. So
- 24:36Speaker 1: Isaiah starting because he just because because hey, they just
- 24:39Speaker 1: picked him the start. You are crazy. First of all,
- 24:43Speaker 1: you're gonna have to talk to my husband because these
- 24:46Speaker 1: accusations are ridiculous and out of control. Like, I don't
- 24:49Speaker 1: know who the do you think you are coming from
- 24:51Speaker 1: the house excusing me of sleeping with the coach my
- 24:54Speaker 1: son earnest positions on the team. It's like, what the
- 24:58Speaker 1: who you think you are? You are? Hey? But who
- 25:01Speaker 1: who is your? Who? Who is that? My husband is Curtis?
- 25:03Speaker 1: So you don't know because you may never showed up
- 25:05Speaker 1: for your own damn son. Okay, Curtis your your little
- 25:08Speaker 1: name Curtis Okay, Okay, So I'll tell you what I need.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I need to talk to Curtis. You know what I
- 25:12Speaker 1: need to do. Oh, you're gonna more than talk to Curtis.
- 25:15Speaker 1: You're gonna catch some hands from Curtis with that mouth. Okay,
- 25:19Speaker 1: ah good, so so so let me answer this. You're saying,
- 25:22Speaker 1: like Curtis that drive trucks, that Curtis I'm talking about Curtis,
- 25:27Speaker 1: my husband and my house. You don't know who we
- 25:29Speaker 1: are because it ain't never showed up. You ain't nobody,
- 25:32Speaker 1: Your kid is nobody, whole. Don't call his book, and
- 25:36Speaker 1: you need to call back into whatever the whole you
- 25:39Speaker 1: came out of, because I am not here for this.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Curtis is a truck driver, right, Yeah, you're lucky he
- 25:44Speaker 1: ain't on your ostober yet. Oh okay, okay, you're trying
- 25:48Speaker 1: my Curtis. Nah nah nah? Can I tell you something
- 25:50Speaker 1: else or that I don't found out of my Curtis?
- 25:53Speaker 1: Then I tell you that I don't. I don't, I don't.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I kind of don't want to hear anything that comes
- 25:56Speaker 1: out of your mouth. At this point, Let's say you
- 25:59Speaker 1: we gonna just last thing I'm gonna say out of
- 26:01Speaker 1: my mouth? Can I just hid you what I know,

- 26:24Speaker 1: right now? But you're going on in the morning though.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Oh my, couldn't it like? My heart is racing right now?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Can phone and tear up your throat? Can mean my
- 26:36Speaker 1: husband put you up to this? Your husband got me
- 26:39Speaker 1: to call your baby. He said, your son is an
- 26:41Speaker 1: amazing quarterback. I said, cool, We're gonna do this, yo.
- 26:46Speaker 1: You don't understand. My chest feels like a vice right now.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I want to kick and throw. Oh my god, all right,
- 26:54Speaker 1: can be a twenty twenty. You gotta tell me one thing.
- 26:57Speaker 1: What's the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show
- 27:00Speaker 1: in the land Steve Harvey in the morning? Oh my god?
- 27:04Speaker 1: And sweating yo? Quarterback? She was not having it. She
- 27:15Speaker 1: had had it too for you. What it's a real mama.
- 27:19Speaker 1: That's how you know her son good? Because she got
- 27:22Speaker 1: mad right off her hold on, hold on the couch
- 27:27Speaker 1: the coach. But your ragged ass boy ain't even start everybody. No,
- 27:34Speaker 1: he ain't got no home. Yeah, oh my goodness. Somebody
- 27:44Speaker 1: got to do it. Call somebody got to do it.
- 27:46Speaker 1: And I'm doing it tonight. I'm doing it tonight in
- 27:49Speaker 1: the Bay Area. That's pleasant in California. Baby, the Nephew
- 27:52Speaker 1: would be in town. It's Tommy Tas Comedy Club. That's tonight,
- 27:56Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday tickets. Don't see her right now, laying
- 27:59Speaker 1: in the cut. Already told you, doping Alabama. The Nephew
- 28:03Speaker 1: is coming March to seventh and then March fourteenth, Montgomery, Alabama.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I'm in the gump. Get your tickets, all ticket mastered
- 28:09Speaker 1: out and then Stupid on the way. Stupid is on
- 28:12Speaker 1: the way. He's right here with us today and every day. Right,
- 28:24Speaker 1: all right, nephew, wait, wait for you, Wait till the
- 28:28Speaker 1: next hour. You're gonna be praying for me again. I
- 28:30Speaker 1: ain't you think I'm through today? I guess you got
- 28:33Speaker 1: some motion. Wow, get some security solemn alls. I'm saying,
- 28:38Speaker 1: all right, coming up threatens you with his stupidity. Yeah,
- 28:43Speaker 1: in coming coming up at the top of the hour.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Entertainment and national news. Right after this, you're listening to
- 28:51Speaker 1: morning show coming up in twenty minutes. What are our
- 28:56Speaker 1: listeners or should I say former listeners at this point
- 28:59Speaker 1: is upset with the Strawberry letter and Steve's advice to
- 29:03Speaker 1: a married couple that was divided over politics. Okay, so
- 29:08Speaker 1: we'll get into that. We'll talk about it in about
- 29:10Speaker 1: twenty minutes, about twenty minutes after the hour, okay. But
- 29:13Speaker 1: right now in today's entertainment news, people are looking to
- 29:17Speaker 1: make a buck off items from a Kobe Bryant memorial
- 29:21Speaker 1: on eBay. So they've been stopped. eBay is actively working
- 29:25Speaker 1: to remove all the items from the site. I'm talking shirts, pins, programs,
- 29:29Speaker 1: and other items from Monday's memorial service at the Stable
- 29:33Speaker 1: Center hit eBay this week. One extra large shirt sold
- 29:38Speaker 1: for like two thousand and twenty five dollars. Multiple listings
- 29:43Speaker 1: had disappeared from eBay over the past twenty four hours. However,
- 29:47Speaker 1: now this is according to eBay, they have a policy
- 29:50Speaker 1: that prohibits the sale of merchandise images from profiting off
- 29:54Speaker 1: of human tragedy or suffering, and they are notifying sellers.
- 29:59Speaker 1: So I mean it's a good thing for eBay. Thank
- 30:01Speaker 1: you yeah, wow, that's crazy right, over two thousand dollars.
- 30:08Speaker 1: But you all have to be smart too, now you
- 30:10Speaker 1: kind of have to be smart. What do you mean
- 30:14Speaker 1: where where did these people get this Kobe Bryant paraphernilia.
- 30:19Speaker 1: They are saying, well, the programs from the from the memorial,
- 30:23Speaker 1: the programs and all that stable center. I'm sure. Yeah,
- 30:27Speaker 1: the programs and all that stuff pends, That's what they're saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 30:37Speaker 1: But they can't tell it anyway. Yeah, even if it is. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 1: you can't profit up human tragedy or suffering on not
- 30:46Speaker 1: from eBay well good for eBay. Yeah yeah. Well. In
- 30:54Speaker 1: other news, the heiress of the Hot Pockets fortune guys, well,
- 30:58Speaker 1: she's gotten five months in prison for her involvement in
- 31:01Speaker 1: the college admissions bribery scandal. Her name is Michelle janevs Hanovs,
- 31:09Speaker 1: whose family invented the tasty sandwiches hot pockets. Uh you
- 31:13Speaker 1: guys know, yeah, they say hot pockets prison to it.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I knew it. Well. She pleaded guilty to paying one
- 31:24Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars two daughters. Oh is it. The Hot
- 31:29Speaker 1: Pockets is one of the top sellers at the Commissive
- 31:34Speaker 1: that's why she's so rich. Uh she paid a hundred
- 31:37Speaker 1: dollars to help her two daughters cheat on college entrance exams,
- 31:41Speaker 1: to pay another one hundred thousand dollars, and uh, yeah,
- 31:46Speaker 1: she agreed to pay another two hundred thousand dollars for
- 31:50Speaker 1: one of the girls to be set up to look
- 31:51Speaker 1: like a beach volleyball recruit to get admitted to US. Type.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Wait a minute, it didn't. It wasn't. It wasn't either
- 32:00Speaker 1: one like the other girl pleaded guilty and took the
- 32:03Speaker 1: lesser right and was only in there for two weeks
- 32:05Speaker 1: and end up doing three days. Okay, but this one
- 32:09Speaker 1: here decided she was gonna fight it. Another woman you're
- 32:16Speaker 1: thinking about, Lord Laughlin. Her trial isn't come up till
- 32:19Speaker 1: later this year. Yeah, she needed I'm telling you right now,
- 32:22Speaker 1: Well she needed to pay attention. See, if you're going
- 32:24Speaker 1: there to fight, you got five months. So what's her name?
- 32:27Speaker 1: Lori Loughlin? You get asked down there, Copper police. They
- 32:31Speaker 1: need to talk to black people about how to do
- 32:33Speaker 1: this here because a lot of other fighting it. Yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 1: see a lot of non blacks they don't understand how
- 32:41Speaker 1: this system works. You talked to some black people, Lord Loughlin,
- 32:45Speaker 1: need to call these people up Copper plea and I
- 32:48Speaker 1: asked them same two weeks, due them three days. Can
- 32:50Speaker 1: ass home. Yeah, and we got to move on now.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Time for today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, Miss and Tripp Hey,
- 32:59Speaker 1: thank you very much had advice, Steve, very good. This
- 33:02Speaker 1: is entrept the news, you know. For the first time
- 33:04Speaker 1: since the coronavirus has reported out of Wuhan, China, last December,
- 33:07Speaker 1: more of the new cases get this are being reported
- 33:09Speaker 1: from outside China than inside. COVID nineteen, as it's called,
- 33:14Speaker 1: has most recently been reported in Algeria, Austria, Croatia, Switzerland,
- 33:18Speaker 1: Italy and Brazil. So in other words, it's now turned
- 33:21Speaker 1: up on every continent except and Arctica. Also, Japan closed
- 33:24Speaker 1: its elementary junior in high schools till the end of
- 33:27Speaker 1: this month in order to kind of guard against it
- 33:29Speaker 1: and bring and make sure people are safe. Worldwide, COVID
- 33:32Speaker 1: nineteen has infected more than eighty thousand people and aware
- 33:36Speaker 1: of national as well as international fears, President Trump said
- 33:39Speaker 1: yesterday that Vice President penc will be in charge and
- 33:42Speaker 1: that as far as the US is concerned, we're at
- 33:44Speaker 1: the ready. We're working with virtually every state, and we
- 33:48Speaker 1: do have plans on the largest scave we needed. We
- 33:49Speaker 1: don't think we're going to need it, but you know,
- 33:51Speaker 1: you always have to be prepared. And again Congress is
- 33:55Speaker 1: talking to us about funding and we're getting far more
- 33:58Speaker 1: than what we have store, and I guess the best
- 34:01Speaker 1: thing to do is take it. Yea, Trump had asked
- 34:04Speaker 1: for like two billion. Republicans say no, we need four billion.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Democrats say no, we need eight million, eight billion. Rather
- 34:10Speaker 1: for President Obama calling on all South Carolina television stations
- 34:13Speaker 1: to stop running an ad put together by a pro
- 34:16Speaker 1: Trump superpack. It's an ad that uses mister Obama's words
- 34:19Speaker 1: out of context to make a misleading attack on Joe Biden.
- 34:23Speaker 1: They say that's falsely. He didn't do that and that's
- 34:25Speaker 1: not true. To get it off. Meanwhile, Joe Biden got
- 34:27Speaker 1: some really good news yesterday. Democratic Congressman James Clyburn announced
- 34:30Speaker 1: his support for the former Vice president. We know Joe,
- 34:35Speaker 1: but most imputantly Joe knows us. I don't. Chawie is
- 34:41Speaker 1: making the greatness of this country accessible and affordable for all.
- 34:46Speaker 1: If it's healthcare, is it accessible? Is it affordable education,
- 34:51Speaker 1: is it accessible housing? Energy? Nigging it accessible and affordable?
- 34:58Speaker 1: And nobody with whom worked in public life is in
- 35:01Speaker 1: the move committed to that fledge. Then Joe Biden South
- 35:07Speaker 1: Carolina primaries on Saturday. Biden has been leading in the
- 35:09Speaker 1: polls in that stage. Just hours after being fired, a
- 35:12Speaker 1: man returned to a brewery in Milwaukee and shot and
- 35:14Speaker 1: kill five former co workers before turning the gun on himself.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Former Baltimore Mayor Katherine Peugh to be sentenced on federal
- 35:22Speaker 1: fraud and tax charges today. Three words. It's about time
- 35:25Speaker 1: the House Representatives overwhelmingly approved legislation making lynching a federal
- 35:29Speaker 1: hate crime for the first time in US history. But
- 35:31Speaker 1: guess what the vote wasn't unanimous. Today's National Kiss a
- 35:35Speaker 1: Kiddies Day. You can talk and talk to your face.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Now back to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to
- 35:42Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. So the other day, Steve, we have
- 35:46Speaker 1: this strawberry letter. It was a house divided over politics.
- 35:49Speaker 1: A lady lost her job, she claims over a trade
- 35:51Speaker 1: agreement issues, and she blamed President Obama. Now she's a
- 35:55Speaker 1: big Trump supporter and her husband does not support her decision.
- 35:59Speaker 1: At all. She even made a donation to Trump's campaign.
- 36:03Speaker 1: She told her husband if he didn't like it, he
- 36:05Speaker 1: could leave. So, Steve, you told them to get a divorce. Well,
- 36:09Speaker 1: a listener wrote in, and she's very, very angry with
- 36:12Speaker 1: your advice, she emailed us. Here we go, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I listened to your morning show every single morning. I
- 36:20Speaker 1: listened to you faithfully, and I have finally come to
- 36:24Speaker 1: the point where I'm just about done. After the crap
- 36:27Speaker 1: I heard yesterday, or after the crap I heard today,
- 36:30Speaker 1: I didn't. I don't vote Trump, but you went way
- 36:33Speaker 1: too far telling a man to divorce his wife before
- 36:36Speaker 1: she supports the Trump campaign because she supports the tramp campaign.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Trump campaign, First of all, you are a rich man,
- 36:44Speaker 1: so how do you think that happened capitalism today? You
- 36:49Speaker 1: lost eight listeners just in my family. You want to
- 36:53Speaker 1: break apart marriages because they don't share a political view.
- 36:56Speaker 1: You might not like Trump's mouth, neither do I, but
- 37:00Speaker 1: not a racist, and as a politician, he's good at
- 37:04Speaker 1: his job. We aren't here to judge him personally. We
- 37:08Speaker 1: are here to judge his job as president. And yes,
- 37:11Speaker 1: he fired people in his cabinet. Would you work with
- 37:14Speaker 1: people that were secretly leaking stuff out at your office?
- 37:18Speaker 1: Hypocrisy at its best. Goodbye, Steve Harvey and Shirley exclamation mark.
- 37:24Speaker 1: If I were you, I'd stop preparing. I'd start preparing
- 37:27Speaker 1: a public apology for your racism. All of our graves
- 37:31Speaker 1: are the same size. In the end, I tell jokes
- 37:34Speaker 1: for a living. I tell jokes. All of these Strawberry
- 37:38Speaker 1: letters are not life changing, a life altering advice tips
- 37:42Speaker 1: that I gil. I didn't think it was that serious myself.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I tell jokes for a living. Now. I know you
- 37:48Speaker 1: think that because you wrote this letter, and I'm just
- 37:50Speaker 1: saying I was joking. I did not let me tell
- 37:53Speaker 1: you something. After I did that Strawberry letter, I ain't
- 37:55Speaker 1: think no more about it that day. It wasn't appoint
- 37:58Speaker 1: a subject a conversation. Sure didn't call me and go, Steve,
- 38:01Speaker 1: did you really mean what you said? I I was
- 38:04Speaker 1: sitting in my house and my wife going, you know
- 38:05Speaker 1: what somebody did today? I mighty fitting a stable to
- 38:08Speaker 1: somebody that support Trump until this morning, and Shirley read this,
- 38:13Speaker 1: that Strawberry letter, as do none of the rest of them.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Even into my day. This show I have said a
- 38:21Speaker 1: thousand times is for enlightenment, entertainment and inspiration, and entertainment
- 38:30Speaker 1: is a big part of this show. I don't give
- 38:33Speaker 1: a damn by Donald Trump. Now you know you're a
- 38:37Speaker 1: lot of laws eight listeners because you don't get the joke.
- 38:40Speaker 1: But I'm not apologizing for nothing, and I ain't preparing
- 38:43Speaker 1: no I'm sorry statement I tell yoke and for living right.
- 38:48Speaker 1: And if you didn't like them for the record, tune
- 38:50Speaker 1: in tomorrow. I have others I ain't coming up in
- 38:54Speaker 1: thirty four minutes after the hour. Hold on to that thought, Steve,
- 38:57Speaker 1: We'll have more. I'm this angry listener who disagree with us.
- 39:00Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening show, all right, Steve.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Here we go listener very angry with us over our
- 39:09Speaker 1: response to the Strawberry letter. H This letter yesterday was
- 39:13Speaker 1: called a House Divided over Politics. It was about a
- 39:15Speaker 1: woman who lost her job, she claims over a trade
- 39:17Speaker 1: agreement issues. She blamed President Obama. She's now because of
- 39:22Speaker 1: her new job in with the Black Republican. She's a
- 39:25Speaker 1: big Trump supporter. Her husband does not support her decision
- 39:29Speaker 1: at all. She told him that if he doesn't like
- 39:33Speaker 1: the fact that she made a five hundred dollars camp
- 39:35Speaker 1: don't campaign contributions to the Trump campaign. That he could
- 39:40Speaker 1: leave if he didn't like it. All of that. So, now, Steve,
- 39:44Speaker 1: what do you want to say? What else he said?
- 39:46Speaker 1: Do you want to say? He did? He talked to
- 39:51Speaker 1: a lawyer about divorce, he said, I told him go ahead,
- 39:57Speaker 1: Not no, I told him ahead. See now what you're
- 40:01Speaker 1: writing in here telling me you ain't listening to the
- 40:04Speaker 1: show no more because you didn't like my advice. I
- 40:06Speaker 1: didn't give him advice. I tell jokes. I don't know
- 40:10Speaker 1: if you if you listen to the show every day
- 40:13Speaker 1: these strawberry letters. The majority of the time I try
- 40:16Speaker 1: to say something humorous about the letter. The majority of
- 40:20Speaker 1: the time. The only time I stopped to give concise
- 40:24Speaker 1: advice and get pointed is when a young girl writes
- 40:27Speaker 1: in and needs some fatherly advice, or a young man
- 40:30Speaker 1: writes in and needs some fatherly advice. All y'all grown
- 40:33Speaker 1: ass people is writing in talk about leaving your wife
- 40:35Speaker 1: because she gave five hundred dollars to the Trump campaign. Man,
- 40:39Speaker 1: leave her ass if that's breaking up your marriage. Back now,
- 40:45Speaker 1: as far as preparing an apology that will not be happening,
- 40:50Speaker 1: not over these jokes Jesus jokes for those that are
- 40:54Speaker 1: just tuning in. A lady a listener wrote a letter
- 40:57Speaker 1: to disagree with your response to this straw, and she
- 41:01Speaker 1: wants you to apologize because she's not listening anymore. Why
- 41:05Speaker 1: are we apologizing? If what I'll tell you what this
- 41:11Speaker 1: she is you're a capitalist too. You ain't know that,
- 41:13Speaker 1: did you? Oh? Yeah, she told me. She said you rich,
- 41:16Speaker 1: You're a capitalist. Okay, that's why I don't care for
- 41:22Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders that much. I understand that. Well, I don't
- 41:26Speaker 1: care for him that much. I'll vote for him if
- 41:29Speaker 1: he run. If he did nominee, I'll vote for him.
- 41:31Speaker 1: But I don't care for him that much because I
- 41:34Speaker 1: don't like Yeah, I don't like that title. So you
- 41:38Speaker 1: know I'm a capitalist? Yeah I am, But ain't everybody
- 41:42Speaker 1: on this show as a capitalist. Everybody is not coming
- 41:47Speaker 1: down here unless they get capital. You better talk society, okay,
- 41:57Speaker 1: surely not. She is not coming in here you if
- 42:04Speaker 1: she don't get her capital. So, ma'am, I don't know
- 42:08Speaker 1: what to say to you. I apologize for the fact
- 42:11Speaker 1: that you didn't get the joke. But that's all that is.
- 42:15Speaker 1: And I won't be doing any of that. She said,
- 42:18Speaker 1: if I were, you had started preparing a public apology
- 42:21Speaker 1: for your racism, all of our graves are the same
- 42:24Speaker 1: size in the end. Now that line right there. So
- 42:29Speaker 1: you're gonna kill me because I think Donald Trump has
- 42:34Speaker 1: done some racist stuff. Excuse me? Is it is it
- 42:40Speaker 1: not racist to ban seven Muslim countries from traveling or
- 42:44Speaker 1: everybody in countries for terrorists? You a threat to us?
- 42:49Speaker 1: Is it building the wall? One of the bigger, taller
- 42:52Speaker 1: wall is denying these young uh people who have been
- 42:58Speaker 1: in this country dreamer citizenship. That's not hanging that over
- 43:03Speaker 1: the head. I just think it is. Now do I
- 43:08Speaker 1: hate him? No? No, I don't hate people on both
- 43:12Speaker 1: sides at a KKK rally. Yeah, that was kind of funking,
- 43:17Speaker 1: you know. And the thing about it is the man
- 43:19Speaker 1: was considering divorce himself. I mean, it wasn't you getting married?
- 43:29Speaker 1: He said, I've seen an attorney. I can't take this.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I'm thinking about a divorce. I said, get you one. Hey,
- 43:40Speaker 1: let me have y'all's attention. This is Steve and I
- 43:43Speaker 1: approved this. Yeah, coming up next, And if you tell
- 43:55Speaker 1: me in the building with today's prank phone call. Right
- 43:57Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Dame Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 44:02Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:05Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject is You're
- 44:09Speaker 1: not as sexy as you think you are. Right now,
- 44:15Speaker 1: nephew is in the building with today's prank phone call.
- 44:18Speaker 1: What do you have for us today? Now? I got it?
- 44:20Speaker 1: Call it. This is go, sir, This is redempt redemp, redemp,
- 44:23Speaker 1: redempt redempt. Yeah, let's go get Hello. Hello, I'm trying
- 44:30Speaker 1: to reach Pastor Henry. Oh this Pastor Henry. Oh. How
- 44:33Speaker 1: are you doing, sir? You as a Greater New Hope Baptist? Right?
- 44:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I am my answers cold. My
- 44:42Speaker 1: name is Patrick, My name Patrick Davis. Uh are you
- 44:46Speaker 1: doing there? How you doing, sir? I went there to
- 44:49Speaker 1: your church a bottom about two and a half years ago.
- 44:52Speaker 1: I went there and me, yeah, we got our kids
- 44:55Speaker 1: baptized there. Are you coming back to us or are you? Uh? Uh?
- 45:01Speaker 1: What's your current church? Holl Well, we haven't been in
- 45:05Speaker 1: a minute, you know, but you you you baptized my
- 45:08Speaker 1: my son and my daughter kareem right, you baptize them.
- 45:13Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think you. I mean, I'm sure
- 45:15Speaker 1: you do a lot of people. But yeah, I was
- 45:16Speaker 1: about to say I do a lot. I can't really
- 45:18Speaker 1: pinpoint a name like that. You said it was about
- 45:21Speaker 1: a couple of years ago, two three, by showing up
- 45:23Speaker 1: between two and between two and three years ago, you
- 45:25Speaker 1: you Ballti, my my little girl and my son. Okay,
- 45:28Speaker 1: I bless on that. I'm I'm glad I was able
- 45:30Speaker 1: to do that Servicely, I was wondering, how did you
- 45:33Speaker 1: get my number? Usually anything like this usually get handled
- 45:37Speaker 1: with the church, you know, one of my deacons or
- 45:39Speaker 1: my secretary. But uh uh did you uh call the
- 45:44Speaker 1: church and they gave you my number? Um? This this
- 45:48Speaker 1: guy at the church, let me see. His name is
- 45:50Speaker 1: oh Dobs brother, brother Dobs, brother, brother Dob gave you
- 45:55Speaker 1: my phone number, my information, brother Dogs. I got this
- 45:59Speaker 1: from brother Dog that I could reach you. Now you
- 46:03Speaker 1: know him, right, he's one of your deacons. I that's
- 46:07Speaker 1: a good man right there. I know him many years. Okay,
- 46:10Speaker 1: him my rouson. For wanting to talk to you directly. Okay,
- 46:13Speaker 1: Like I said, you baptize my little girl Taylor and
- 46:16Speaker 1: my son Kareem. What I baptizing is supposed to be
- 46:21Speaker 1: you cleansing them and you watching them, because he probably
- 46:25Speaker 1: hear my problems. You baptize my kids, but there ain't
- 46:28Speaker 1: nothing shamed. They grade still bad. He still didn't obed.
- 46:33Speaker 1: I don't see where your back look. But if you
- 46:38Speaker 1: don't fund him, if you just let me spin it,
- 46:41Speaker 1: I don't see where your baptizing has done anything. And
- 46:45Speaker 1: I know that I spent when I was there. I
- 46:47Speaker 1: want that money back now now, Okay, now you confuse me.
- 46:51Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I think you know we need to
- 46:54Speaker 1: stop this madness right now because you're talking about you
- 46:57Speaker 1: a money back baptime. I'm I'm with baptis your kids.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I've been at this church up for many years, so
- 47:04Speaker 1: I won't doubt that I'm probably the pastor you're looking for.
- 47:09Speaker 1: But I just don't understand what you're trying to get
- 47:11Speaker 1: at here. The baptism did I'm saying you're supposed to
- 47:15Speaker 1: when when when people get baptized, they're supposed to cham cleansing. Okay,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I see yesh pleass them, but well, if my kids,
- 47:25Speaker 1: let me let me ask you. I'm just trying to brother,
- 47:27Speaker 1: I'm just just trying to get to the bottom of this,
- 47:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Because she's like when I
- 47:33Speaker 1: couldn't understand how you got my numbers. The bottom of
- 47:36Speaker 1: it is, yo, Yo, baptizing ain't doing nothing. My kids
- 47:41Speaker 1: were still grades. They still this over that why they
- 47:46Speaker 1: haven't been coming to church. You said you're not going
- 47:48Speaker 1: to any congregation. Maybe you guys need to come on
- 47:50Speaker 1: back to church sitting or some sermons. You know. I
- 47:53Speaker 1: even work with your one on one, but um, I can't.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I can't do nothing about the grades in school. I mean,
- 48:00Speaker 1: and and and and overall that when you when you
- 48:03Speaker 1: have them, I should see a change in them. And
- 48:07Speaker 1: I don't see a change. But all the times I
- 48:10Speaker 1: was going to your church, I'm paying for these tides.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Well I'm not getting anything, hey man. All at the
- 48:16Speaker 1: end of the day, Past Hendry, I want my money back.
- 48:18Speaker 1: That's what That's what we have. That's brother David. That's
- 48:22Speaker 1: not how it worked. Brother. You hit you understand, I'm
- 48:25Speaker 1: not I'm not trying to raise my voice at you.
- 48:26Speaker 1: But you y'all over them, y'a all over the place
- 48:28Speaker 1: you went. Money back. I don't understand. What what what can
- 48:31Speaker 1: I do for you. I can tell you now what
- 48:33Speaker 1: you can do. My kids and I have got the
- 48:35Speaker 1: baptized over there with you all that time I was
- 48:37Speaker 1: going to your church. I'm paying kne tis, playing knee ti,
- 48:40Speaker 1: paying knee ta, and I get my kids baptized. But
- 48:43Speaker 1: the time is gonna have nothing to do with the baptism.
- 48:47Speaker 1: The times had something to do with all the time
- 48:50Speaker 1: I spent over there, and I'm not getting anything. Brother,
- 48:54Speaker 1: And that's what you call in the world. Am I
- 48:56Speaker 1: gonna figure out how much CORDI came? I know it's
- 49:00Speaker 1: think about that. I know exactly. No, no, no, no,
- 49:03Speaker 1: you're hauling my home with this nonsense. You're not even
- 49:05Speaker 1: as a number of my congregation. And I just don't
- 49:08Speaker 1: like it. Who do you think you your boy? Just
- 49:13Speaker 1: because you're gonna you're a man of the trouble. Don't
- 49:15Speaker 1: mean that's because I'm a man raised guy. Don't mean
- 49:18Speaker 1: I can't cut your dout. You understand that, Brother, If
- 49:21Speaker 1: it's something you need to deal with, you need to
- 49:22Speaker 1: talk to people at the church. Why do I need
- 49:24Speaker 1: to talk for brother dogs when I'm talking about do
- 49:27Speaker 1: not need to the problem right now? You're a problem bash,
- 49:30Speaker 1: I'm a problem. I just put a bunch of tide
- 49:33Speaker 1: money and I won't I know exactly how much I
- 49:35Speaker 1: spent over there, and I want my money bad brother
- 49:39Speaker 1: about that? That's what I care about. Your time? So
- 49:41Speaker 1: that I said your time? Want me to spell it out? Oh? Well, here,
- 49:47Speaker 1: kids or you look spell out. I bet they know
- 49:50Speaker 1: how to spell it. Oh, don't be calling me about
- 49:53Speaker 1: no damn behavior issues with your kids. You're back time.
- 49:56Speaker 1: That's the question you need to be asking. Is you
- 49:58Speaker 1: living your life? Think the five? Huh? You know what?
- 50:03Speaker 1: You know what? Brothers? I didn't got outside myself, and
- 50:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry, brothers. I should not be using fire language
- 50:08Speaker 1: since I think what's going on. We need to we
- 50:11Speaker 1: need to get you and your children, your wife. Come
- 50:13Speaker 1: on down the service on Sunday. I will sit with
- 50:16Speaker 1: you as long as I can. I truly, I truly
- 50:18Speaker 1: think counseling and talking is the only way out of it.
- 50:21Speaker 1: We should not be fighting on this phone now. Once again,
- 50:26Speaker 1: I hope you accept my apology for my language. Now,
- 50:30Speaker 1: can I ask you something? Go ahead, son, I can
- 50:32Speaker 1: hear you, okay. Brother Dobbs tells me that you and
- 50:36Speaker 1: him are together. Y'all together some mornings having called you
- 50:40Speaker 1: and brother Dogs are every morning that that I'm not
- 50:43Speaker 1: there either function or doing something for the building maintenance
- 50:47Speaker 1: to the church. Yeah, we definitely. He's a good brother.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Like I told you, I knew him for many years.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Right right, And he's saying that when y'all having confid
- 50:55Speaker 1: that y'all y'all listening to the radio, is that right? Yeah,
- 50:59Speaker 1: well fools, y'all be listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah,
- 51:04Speaker 1: it's always on the radio. He fast was so fun.
- 51:10Speaker 1: This is this is nephew timmy man from the Steve
- 51:12Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Brother Dog just got me to break
- 51:15Speaker 1: phone call. You didn't know now the brother Dog here
- 51:25Speaker 1: about this? He didn't want game in your number. I'm
- 51:30Speaker 1: too scared to cuss another word. Let's take the thing
- 51:33Speaker 1: out of my character. I didn't think I didn't did
- 51:34Speaker 1: enough for a life. Talk of that, I'm gonna tell
- 51:39Speaker 1: you right now. I'm probably as really didn't come. And
- 51:42Speaker 1: I tell my congression all the time. I even slip up.
- 51:45Speaker 1: So I think it would only be ready to let
- 51:51Speaker 1: me ask you something, man, what is the baddest And
- 51:53Speaker 1: I'm talking about the bad and this twin Oh man,
- 51:55Speaker 1: you already know, man the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You
- 52:02Speaker 1: what y'all think I didn't. I didn't cuss him. He
- 52:05Speaker 1: cussed me though I ain't cuss him. I ain't cuss him.
- 52:08Speaker 1: You pushed too far time I did. But let me
- 52:12Speaker 1: ask you. Ain't that what I'm supposed to do? Yeah?
- 52:14Speaker 1: But now you wrong for this? Want me going to

- 53:32Speaker 1: be reading your letter live on the air, just like
- 53:35Speaker 1: we're gonna read this one right here, right now. Bugle up,
- 53:38Speaker 1: hold on tight, We got it for you. Here. It
- 53:40Speaker 1: is Strawberry Letter. Subject You're not as sexy as you
- 53:45Speaker 1: think you are. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty year
- 53:48Speaker 1: old married woman and my husband and I have been
- 53:50Speaker 1: together for six years. We have a three year old son,
- 53:53Speaker 1: and since I have the baby, our intimacy has gotten
- 53:56Speaker 1: a little stale. We tried role playing, watching video, and
- 54:00Speaker 1: talking dirty to keep the magic going, but nothing helped.
- 54:05Speaker 1: A friend suggested we put a full length mirror next
- 54:08Speaker 1: to our bed because it worked for her and her hubby.
- 54:11Speaker 1: They loved watching themselves getting it on. My husband and
- 54:15Speaker 1: I decided to try it. We bought a big mirror
- 54:18Speaker 1: and put it right next to our bed. The first
- 54:21Speaker 1: night we got busy, I was disgusted and utterly mortified
- 54:26Speaker 1: at what I saw I haven't lost all the weight
- 54:30Speaker 1: from when I was pregnant, and seeing myself from those
- 54:33Speaker 1: angles and in the crazy positions my husband likes. I
- 54:37Speaker 1: was ashamed at what I saw, and he did not
- 54:40Speaker 1: look that great either. I was so turned off by
- 54:43Speaker 1: watching us get it on, but my husband loved it.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I tried to keep my eyes closed, but he wanted
- 54:50Speaker 1: me to look him in the eye the entire time.
- 54:53Speaker 1: I faked it. I faked it until he was done.
- 54:57Speaker 1: He asked me if I loved it, and I ll
- 55:00Speaker 1: heck no, I didn't. I don't like it at all.
- 55:04Speaker 1: He said that I had to get used to it
- 55:06Speaker 1: because he feels like our sex life is back to normal.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I want to crack the mirror and throw it out.
- 55:12Speaker 1: I tactfully told him that he's overweight and so am I,
- 55:16Speaker 1: but he said he doesn't care how he looks, and
- 55:19Speaker 1: the mirror is staying. I have been dieting since then
- 55:23Speaker 1: to get myself back in shape, and I've lost a
- 55:25Speaker 1: few pounds, but he is not working out or dieting,
- 55:29Speaker 1: so I'm stuck looking at his big, wide naked behind
- 55:32Speaker 1: all the time. How do I tell him I knew
- 55:36Speaker 1: you were gonna like that life. How do I tell
- 55:38Speaker 1: him that he is not sexy without insulting him or
- 55:42Speaker 1: making him feel self conscious? Please advise? Well, I mean,
- 55:46Speaker 1: you know, I'm glad at least you found something thanks
- 55:49Speaker 1: to your good friends to help you get your groove
- 55:51Speaker 1: back A big mirror. Who knew that was the answer
- 55:55Speaker 1: because you said your sex life have been getting stale,
- 55:58Speaker 1: so this is good. I mean you could look at
- 56:00Speaker 1: this at least a couple of different ways. You can
- 56:03Speaker 1: choose to concentrate on your partner's body like you've done,
- 56:07Speaker 1: and not, you know, get into the act itself. That
- 56:11Speaker 1: would be boring and utterly disgusting, as you said, because
- 56:15Speaker 1: you couldn't get past his body or yours at the time.
- 56:18Speaker 1: The other way you could look at it is just
- 56:20Speaker 1: to go with the moment and forget what he looks like, just,
- 56:24Speaker 1: you know, get into it. The good thing is that
- 56:27Speaker 1: it did motivate you. I'll say this to get in
- 56:29Speaker 1: better shape for yourself, which is good for your health.
- 56:32Speaker 1: But you want to know, how do you tell him
- 56:35Speaker 1: that he's not sexy because you don't want to do
- 56:38Speaker 1: it without insulting him or making him feel self conscious?
- 56:43Speaker 1: I mean, you said you said, you told him that
- 56:46Speaker 1: you didn't like it, and he said, well he did
- 56:49Speaker 1: in the merest staying. So you got to try and
- 56:51Speaker 1: persuade him, you know, and in the best way you can.
- 56:54Speaker 1: And sounds like you know how to do it, because
- 56:56Speaker 1: he's happy now to let him know that. You know
- 56:59Speaker 1: why to you guys, you know good healthy, eat better
- 57:02Speaker 1: so you can look good in the mirror. That turns
- 57:04Speaker 1: you on. You have to tell him stuff like that
- 57:07Speaker 1: so he'll get into it, all right. I think if
- 57:13Speaker 1: you tell him in that way, you know he won't
- 57:15Speaker 1: feel self conscious about it and you won't insult him,
- 57:18Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Well, well, well, well you ain't as
- 57:24Speaker 1: sexy as you think you are. Well, this thirty year
- 57:28Speaker 1: old married woman her husband been together six years and
- 57:32Speaker 1: got three year old, and h you're that intimacy kind
- 57:36Speaker 1: of got a little stale. So they tried some things,
- 57:40Speaker 1: you know, they were doing role playing, they've been watching
- 57:43Speaker 1: videos talking dirty, but nothing to help. A friend of
- 57:47Speaker 1: yours told y'all, y'all need to get a full left mirror,
- 57:52Speaker 1: put it next to y'all's bed and and look at
- 57:57Speaker 1: y'all self. Now, the first night y'all did it? You
- 58:01Speaker 1: got disgusted and utterly mortified at what you saw because
- 58:07Speaker 1: you ain't lost all the weight from when I was pregnant.
- 58:11Speaker 1: And that's understandable. You know that baby weight. It's hard
- 58:14Speaker 1: to get it off, but you didn't. You Now you're
- 58:16Speaker 1: too hard on yourself now and you've been seeing yourself
- 58:20Speaker 1: from all these angles in the crazy position. Your husband
- 58:23Speaker 1: like you ain't know you look like that? See you
- 58:25Speaker 1: know why because you're looking at yourself from the side.
- 58:29Speaker 1: I have four worn y'all. The best way to look
- 58:33Speaker 1: at yourself naked is fresh out the shower. Don't dry
- 58:37Speaker 1: off and walk directly, head on straight to the middle.
- 58:41Speaker 1: That's your absolute best naked body. Don't dry off, and
- 58:47Speaker 1: do not turn sideway. No, I came out. See. I
- 58:56Speaker 1: came out the bathroom one time taking a shower, and
- 58:58Speaker 1: I was going over to MC and I walked past
- 59:00Speaker 1: the mirror and I ran right quick because I thought
- 59:03Speaker 1: somebody was in the bathroom and it was my fat ass.
- 59:07Speaker 1: It was me. I thought somebody was in the bathroom. Yeah,
- 59:16Speaker 1: it was because I looked at myself from the side,
- 59:20Speaker 1: So to you seeing yourself from the side, I was ashamed.
- 59:25Speaker 1: And he didn't look that great either. You got so
- 59:28Speaker 1: turned off watching, but your husband liked it. I tried
- 59:32Speaker 1: to keep my eyes closed, but he wanted me to
- 59:34Speaker 1: look him in the eye the entire time. Oh yeah,
- 59:37Speaker 1: that's a turn on right there. I faked it till
- 59:40Speaker 1: he was done. He asked me if I loved I
- 59:43Speaker 1: said hell nah. He said, you better get used to it,
- 59:46Speaker 1: because we're back and I'm gonna keep it like that.
- 59:49Speaker 1: So now he keeping the mirror and you trying to
- 59:53Speaker 1: figure out how to tell him he's not sexy without
- 59:57Speaker 1: insulting him or make him feel self. Come. I had
- 59:59Speaker 1: that answer for you, So as we go. Right at
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: You're not as sexy as you think you are. We'll
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters subject You're not
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: as sexy as you think you are. Yeah, they didn't
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: mess right about this mirror listening to a friend of hers,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: A friend told him me to add spice and tea sex.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: When they put the mirror up and they got busy.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: The woman did not like the way she looked because
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: she ain't lost her baby weight. She got three year old,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: and she was mortified at the way she looked from
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: some of the angles that her and her husband had
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: her doing. So she didn't like it. She was ashamed.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: But here the thing was, he didn't look that great either,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: So she was so turned off by us getting it
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: on that she tried to close her eyes. Now he
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: wanted me. He wanted her to look at her in
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: the eye the entire time, so she faked that he
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: was gone. He asked me if I loved and I said,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: hell naw, I don't like it all. Well, he said,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you better get used to it, because if we feel
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: like our sex life is back, I want to crack
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: that mirror and throw it out. Now I'm gonna show
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: you how to do that with tomorrow night. You wessel
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: heels and then act like you get good to you
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: and hand your leg off the bed and kick it.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Gotta cracked the mirror and break it. It'll be over
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and hear fact, it's because he was really bringing it.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: All you want to do is screwed over to the
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: edge of the bed and let that leg fall and
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: kick that damn mill with him. Heels on ocause we
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: can get rid of light. But I tactfully told him
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: he's overweight, and so in my he said, he don't
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: kill how he loved, and the mirror staid I've been
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: dying since then to get myself back in shape. I've
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: lost a few pounds, but he ain't working out or that,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: so I'm stuck looking at his big, wide naked behind
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: all the time. How do I tell him he's not
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: sexy without insulting him or making him feel self conscious?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Here's what you got to do. When a man think
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: he bringing it, you can't insult him. So what you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: have to do is you have to insult him, but
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: in complimentary insulting ways. You have to insult him, but
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: in complimentary sexy ways. Oh, come on, fat daddy got stuff. Yeah,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: spank me with your fat. You know, you got to
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: say stuff like that to turn him home. And but then'
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: here go what spank me with your fat? You know?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Oh I see your fat boy? Oh bring it? Oh
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Peel's bread dough boy can't be this good. You got
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: to say stuff like that. You're white bringing it? Yeah,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: you know, just start saying, he said, the class is
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: coming to town. Oh, sa coming to time. Yeah, you
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: got to do that. You got to come up with
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: names and oh, fat albut is in the building. You
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: got to say stuff like that, but say it during
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: sex where he after while he got way mine? Who
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: the hell are you calling? Fat? Album? But I was
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: just looking at me, a baby, that's who you mad me?
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Don't stop keep going, and you just got you got
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: to crack him with insults that are complimentary, complimentary insults,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: right will he got the message? You think one of them,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: one of them gonna be the real really be striking
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: herd with it. You just gotta say stuff fence dominanto.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: You got you say it like that, you know, Oh
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: look at my little butterball turkey. You know. Oh you
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: better come on with your big white naked ass. Just
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: look how wide you is? Boy? You might not be long?
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: But who are you? Why wait a minute? What what
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: did she say? Oh? You ain't doing nothing? Who you?
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Why don't yet? I can't even see the headboard. Oh
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: you got some bad anything at your stomach? O my stomach? It? Yeah? Man,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: you know, you know, hold up, you know I appreciate you,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: you know, getting into it and that thing, but you
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: don't you don't think you're saying a little bit too much. Well,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I'm I'm just saying what I see. That's all I'm doing.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Let me see something, say something, see something, say something.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: You know, I'm all I can go. I'm just you know,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I mean here, all this mirror, all this mirror, all
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: these angles and everything. Come on, Oh, mister Wace, what
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: we're gonna do tonight? All right? Thank you, Steve. We
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: got the message, all right. Post your comments on today's
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Strubbery Letter. One last thing and if dad don't work,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: divorce him. As I was saying, poster comments on Today's
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Please don't forget to check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: on demand now coming up at forty six after the
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: hour from the Talk, It will be our girl, Cheryl Underwood.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to show coming up at
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: the top of the hour, Carla's Reality Update. But right now, Steve,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: please introduce our girl from the Talk, the One and
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Only Ladies and Gentlemen, Sheryl Underwood. What thank you Steve
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Harvey for that dignified introduction. Hey, Julia, do you segment
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: when you got time anyway, this is what I really
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: need to do, jul You know, I'm getting on a
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: plane and I'm going to South Carolina. Now this is
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: for real. Well really, I'm already here. Okay, let me
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: just make a flame for everybody. I'm already in South Carolina.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: And what am I doing in South Carolina. I'm going
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: to talk to the presidential campaigns. I'm just gonna walk
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: up to them like a citizen of these United States.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: And my question is what are you going to do
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: to turn up to turn out? That's our new thing,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: brothers and sisters, turning up to turn out. Why Because
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: if we don't get in the process, they gonna pick
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: somebody for us. And this debate did not make anybody
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: feel good about anybody running. Now, for everybody that got
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: mad at me last week for talking about Bernie Sanders,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna stay for real on this Bernie Sanders thing.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: You cannot get up in praise for del Castro and
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: think you're gonna get in the White House. They want
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: you to do that. You can't sell all these stories
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: about what you're gonna do but don't know how to
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: pay for it, because no neck McConnell is waiting for you.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: They gonna keep the Senate, The republic is gonna keep
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: the Senate. But I'll be sitting in the Republican medias
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: listening to the plan and this is not gonna work.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren. You criticize Michael Bloomberg and it still didn't
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: increase your position in the polls. They arguing about stuff
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: that they ain't did in the possessions they had in
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: the positions they had, Guca Gay, what the Buddhist has
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: or whatever. If the Nigros in South ben Indiana ain't
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: fucking then who's gonna be funning that? We're gonna keep
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: it real. So here's my question to all of them
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: that I will be asking all of them, since they
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: keep wanting to invite me to take pictures, what are
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you gonna do to turn up the turnout and tend
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: to the DNC. What money are you going to invest
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: in black radio and black newspapers so that you can
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: speak directly to us, Because according to everybody on that stage,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: they raising money and they got it and ain't none
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: of it came to us. So here's what I'm going
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: to do. I'm in South Carolina, so when you see
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: me brothers and sister. Who do you know what? I'm
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: about to do my question, and I'm gonna start with
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Tom Stya because he's the only one whose wife wanted
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: to talk to me. If you do not buy spots
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: on black radio like dots, then I'm not any interviews
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: on this show. Hey, Steve, I gotta wait for us
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: to do it. Can I come back in the next segment.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you how we could do it. We
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: started a break. We'll be back with more of the
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: We've asked Cheryl to um stay for this break so
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: we continue this political conversation. You were saying that you
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: want to make sure that these politicians who are making
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: all these promises spend money in black radio. You know,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I think that Sheryl is onto something because you know,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: could stop assuming that we are just going to vote
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: for you because you're Democrat, or we're gonna vote for
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: you just because you make an appearance on the show.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: I think that money is spent on Rush Limbaugh, Hannity.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I think money is spent on my Man Seacrest. I
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: know money is spent on radio spots candidates, but very
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: rarely did we see money spent on black radio. And
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: so I think that this year, and I want to
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: hear your thoughts on this, Sherrill. I really want to
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: make concerted effort. And it's just about and you can
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: call it what you want to call it. But in
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: all fairness, respect our vote like you respect everybody else's vote.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Don't assume that I'm gonna just crack this, Mike and
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: put you in the White House. They spots like everybody else.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: You know, you are spending money. Y'all know what this
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: business is. This is a capitalistic society. Like a lady
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: said on about me on the email, and Steve Harvey,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: you're a capitalist. Okay, yeah, I want capital for everything
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: on my list. So I'm a capitalist, right. So this
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: is this is my thought when in twenty sixteen, remember
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: you and I and other radio entities came together with
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Black Radio Solidarity Day to drive souls to the polls. Well,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: we're gonna do Black Radio Solidarity period. We already have
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: four hundred and thirty eight radio entities signed up. Go
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: to www dot Black Radio Solidarity dot com under this portal.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: This is why I'm walking up to candidates and going
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: tell me how much money do you plan on spending
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: to turn up to turn out that you're gonna put
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: not just in black radio, but in black newspapers, on
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: social media influencers. What are you going to do? Were
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: wrapping buses? We're gonna drive all the way August. You
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: got to get the young people to remember what you
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: wanted them to do. And I think if we join
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: together and we say to the DNC, first you need
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: to be putting some money over here. You they what,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: this is what they say? Everybody trust you, everybody know you.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: All right, then you trust me enough to invest in
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: me holding this microphone and speaking to people. Am I right?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Steve Army? Am I right with this? Yeah? I think
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: I think that. I think because I want to just
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: issue a statement to all the Democratic oh candidates. Yeah, listen, man,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: buy some time, just like y'all buying Bloomberg. Now, I'll
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: give Bloomberg credit for this to me me, so far,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: he's the only one that has a plan with an
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: with the dollar amount attached to it to aid the
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: black community to help it with some of its problems. Now, surely,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: and I we're talking about this off the air. It
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: is true. We don't hear from politicians until this election
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: time right now after they get in animal plans for
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: black people. Now, ain't ain'timal nothing. That's why I've never
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I've never put my faith in politician and and and
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: and I'm not gonna put my faith in any of
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: them now because I've yet to see the politician that
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: gets in there and works tireishly. Now, what Obama did
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: was the Healthcare Act was done to aid so many
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: black people and so many white people. The education claus
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: as he bought about aided so many black people, so
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: many white people. We were your president of United States.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: You've got to be president for all people. But you
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: also remember that all people have special needs, special concerns,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: and special ways that they got to go about it.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: And your policies have to do something to touch all
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: of us. Black radio solidarity, all of us coming together,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: all of us need to come together and say, if
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: you want our boat, you got to come and talk
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: to us, answer questions, and put money on black radio
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: and black news practice. That's all I can marry by.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: All right erl thank you so much. Yeah, you're listening
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: to federal health officials said that the spread of the
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: coronavirus is inevitable in the US despite the low key
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: response and reassurances from the President and his administration, and
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Shoe Shot Principal Director Deputy Director of the Centers for
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: these Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday and afternoon press conference,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: we believe the immediate at risk here in the United
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: States remains low, and we're working hard to keep that
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: risk low. But earlier in the day, another CDC official
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: had a more dire warning. Nancy Massanier, the director of
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the CDC, said, ultimately,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: we expect we will see communities spread in the United States. Okay,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: it is not a question of if this will happen,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: but when this will happen, and how many people in
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: this country will have severe illnesses. Wow. Yeah, that that
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: is not good news. I mean, you know, but I'm
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: a little hesitant. But at that dire you know, what
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: do you call it? Prognmar prognosis? I just you know, look, man,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: when a bowler came out board, they had a heart
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: attack on right here, and everybody in here thinking the
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: disguise falling. I mean, at one point in time, man,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: somebody has to say, hey, look, we're monitoring this. We've
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: got it under control right now. As of right now,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: it's not a matter of where, but when. All Right,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Vvy Morning showing some
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: trending news at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: after this, you're listening, we're talking about the coronavirus and
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: how we're getting different responses from the Center for Disease Control. Um,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: the latest is it's not a question of if it'll
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: happen in the US, but when it will happen in
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: the US, and how many people in this country will
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: have severe illnesses. That's scary, scary sounding. You know, I'm
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: traveling all the time airport at the airport, when I
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: see these people with this mask thing on, is it
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: really is that helping? I mean, what are you saying? No? Yeah,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I mean what are you breathing? You breathing? It's coming
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: through that, ain't it? Who is it stopping a sickness
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: from coming in? I didn't have before. It's just too
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: damn hot. Okay, Yeah, but they say it if you
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: have it, you won't spread it as well. If you
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: have to. But if you don't have it, what well
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: do they just breathe it. It's the touching too, the
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: surfaces you had this mask on or somebody slapping on
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: the back. It ain't doing no damn and what what well?
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: It's got to enter a porous area of your body
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: for to mindous. You can't get it off your shirt.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I mean you're not gonna get there somebody put on
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: your shirt, but your skin if you put your eyes
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: on your mouth and your skin is come in contact
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: with But it's a respiratory disease. So if a person
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: coughs her sneeze, the particles in the air the moisture
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: has that has that sickness in it, and because it
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: passes through the air, it does not lose its intensity.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: This is why I read this today, and that's why
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I'm just saying it. Because you sneeze and the moisture
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: comes out and you have it's infected on you, it
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: doesn't diminish because it went into the air. If you
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: breathe right in or somebody in your face, or you
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: get it on your hand and put in your mouth
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: or your eye, you know it's spreading. So they're saying
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: that when you wear the mask. It keeps you from
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: touching your mouth and breathing in any airborne impurities directly
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: into it because it gets trapped on the map, and
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: you gotta constantly wash your hand. Wash your hand, so
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: like I'll be flying this weekend, so I'm gonna take
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: a lot of trail hand sanitizer and whites and I'm
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: gonna wipe my little area down and don't come over
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: here touching. Yeah that's right, Yeah, chass off the sink
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: literally be saying the same thing. Yeah, first class. Yeah,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: just be careful and please, you know, wash your hands
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: constantly and take precautions. Can you have sex with the mask? Yeah?
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: You can't. All right, coming up, our our last break
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: of the day and some closing remarks from Steve Harvey
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: of forty nine minutes after the right after this, the
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: show is ignorant. You're listening, all right, Steve. Here we
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: are our last break of the day. It's the last
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: break up the day, Yes it is. And what are
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: you doing. It's been a good day, though, a good day.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: Oh you weren't. Now we're used to it now, I know, Okay,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: we're so used to it now, don't spoil us. And
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: then try to take it away. Well, Jay started and
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: then he forgot how idea it's the last break of
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: the day. Ye now Jay, Jay, let it move us.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: But it's been a good Thursday. Good Thursday. Yeah, look
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: forward to Friday and here we go. Uh, let me
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: do this, you know. Um, I try to say things
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: that are encouraging to people in my clothes remarks to
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: give you some uplift. H But what I want to
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: tell you about is in your climb to success and
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: in your desire to become happy and whatever success he
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: is to you, it doesn't matter to me. Everybody has
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: to define it for themselves, just like everybody defines happening
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: for themselves. But if you're trying to build something, if
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: you're trying to get yourself together, if you're trying to
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: go places, I want to just put a couple of
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: things in your head. You've got to be conscious of
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the people that you surround yourself with. You know, you've
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: all heard the old saying birds of a feather flock together.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: Association brings on participation. This is just the bottom line truth.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: Somebody told me one time, they said, Steve, name your
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: five closest friends. So I named them. Then he said,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: describe them as people, and I described him and he said,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: thank you. He said, now I know what I need
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: to know about you. I said, what do you mean
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: by that? He said, If you name your five closest friends,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: and then you describe your five closest friends, you have
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: just given me an overall description of you. Because you pick,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: you actually get to choose your friends, and you choose
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: your friends for qualities that you like about them. You
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: become friends with people because you have so many things
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: in common. You don't have friends where you have nothing
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: in common. You wouldn't pick them as your friend, would you. No,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: you wouldn't. And so what happens is in that experiment
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: he gave me. I said, wow. So I started really
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: taking inventory and started thinking about the people that were
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: around me, and I discovered something. Man, that was some
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: people around me that really weren't good for me. See,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: somebody sent me this one time. He said, A dead
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: battery can't jump a dead battery. You gotta get away
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: from people who can't charge your spirit when you need
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: a jump. Oh, dead battery can't jump a dead battery.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Get away from people who can't charge your spirit when
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you need a jump. How many times, man, have you
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: needed some uplift? How many times have you needed a
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: word of encouragement and the person you turned to had
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: nothing for you but more of the same. You need
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: some new people. You can't build an empire when you
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: surround yourself with bulldozers waiting to tear you down. Surround
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: yourself with people who will give you bricks and mortar
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: and build a foundation for success. You got to really
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: get conscious of the people that surround you, because I'm
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: telling y'all, man, they play a role in your life.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: As long as they are around you and you're welcoming
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: them in, they play a role in your life. And
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: you may not even have paid it any attention, but
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: little bit by little bit, they either take a piece
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: or they add a piece. So you've got to pay
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: attention who's around you, because you can't build an empire
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: when you surround yourself with bulldozers, bulldozers waiting to tear
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: you down. Surround yourself with people who give you bricks
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: and mortar and build a foundation for success. Check it.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Just run a check, y'all. Just do this. Just just
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: run inventory. Take a close look at the people you're
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: associating yourself with and sometimes, man, you just stay friends
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: with people just a little bit too long, just a
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: little bit too long, because some people have stopped being
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: your friend a long time ago. But you're such a
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: committed person, You're such a loyal person that you stay
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: loyal to them long after they stopped being loyal to you.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Somebody used to work for me taught me a valuable lesson,
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: and I never forgot it. He said, o g. Loyalty
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: has an expiration date. I was telling this to my
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: wife one time at Margine. She didn't like that, saying
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: she Steve, I don't like when you say that, And
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: we were talking on talking it, and so there's a
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: few years went by. The other day I was talking
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: with Marjorie. She said, you know, Steve, I finally understand
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: what you're saying. You're not saying that your loyalty has
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: an expiration date. What you've been trying to tell me.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: It's people that I'm trying to stay loyal to have
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: oftentimes stopped being loyal to me. But because I'm a
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: kind person, I've tried to stay loyal to them when
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: they're loyal for me. Expired a long time ago. I said.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. I'm not talking to everybody. I'm
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: telling you as a warning, be conscious of the fact
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: that loyalty has an expiration date, and it usually ain't you,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: it's usually somebody else. Take an inventory, make sure all
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: the people who once were loyal are steal loyal. Make
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: sure that everybody in your life that's a battery can
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: charge you up when your spirit needs to jump. And
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: make sure that the people around you that you're trying
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: to build an empire around are not actually bulldozs is
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: trying to tear you down. Those are my closing remarks.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Y'all have a great day. I'm out of here. Have
