- 2:10Speaker 1: and the cookies. But you ain't finished running down my accolade.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm gonna finish because I sold
- 2:15Speaker 1: I sold a sheriff to nor He's been on it
- 2:18Speaker 1: like fifteen times and uh. In fact, he posted on
- 2:21Speaker 1: social media that he was on there today. He did
- 2:25Speaker 1: check me out at new for my July for special.
- 2:29Speaker 1: But this is what we're gonna do. We're gonna get
- 2:30Speaker 1: you down to the circle. And I absolutely think that
- 2:32Speaker 1: you should be because you have a lot of things
- 2:34Speaker 1: to discuss. You you bake, you're making money, You're down here,
- 2:38Speaker 1: you you got you got commercials? Are you're gonna tell
- 2:41Speaker 1: the first of all? You didn't even tell people her name.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'll do it, don't worry. Hey, y'all did your girl
- 2:47Speaker 1: kinda dancing? I am in the studio with my ru
- 2:50Speaker 1: Sean McDonald. He cain't staying me when I came to
- 2:52Speaker 1: take over. Believe me, you have not taking Let's go straight,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and I just gave you a moment to excel yourself
- 3:01Speaker 1: because that's what. That's the whole relationship. I try to
- 3:03Speaker 1: teach you how to build your brand. You are brand
- 3:07Speaker 1: you are. I'm a brand builder. So at times, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 1: you gotta know when to step in from of the leader.
- 3:13Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Sometimes people step in front
- 3:15Speaker 1: of the leader. Get shot, baby case. Okay, okay, you
- 3:22Speaker 1: have to know when to step in front the leader.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I knew the coach was clear when you stepped in
- 3:26Speaker 1: front of me. So I always know that your boy
- 3:28Speaker 1: just set you up. Thank you, because you're great on
- 3:32Speaker 1: the radio. You articulate what the minute? Who? Who does that?
- 3:35Speaker 1: You're grant on the radio, You're articulate. Well, I would
- 3:38Speaker 1: holp Southside. I'm I'm on television every day. My mother
- 3:41Speaker 1: put a lot of good money into me so that
- 3:43Speaker 1: I can be able to speak like you. Let's talk
- 3:45Speaker 1: about that education. Yes, what type of education do you
- 3:48Speaker 1: have because a lot of people to think of comedian
- 3:50Speaker 1: is like, you know, yeah, because I know I got
- 3:53Speaker 1: a degree of mathematics for IBM. When I tell people that,
- 3:57Speaker 1: they go a little a little side of they face
- 4:01Speaker 1: kind of changes a little bit. So, but you also
- 4:04Speaker 1: pursued a college education, got your degree. Absolutely, I did.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something. My mother did not give
- 4:09Speaker 1: me a choice whether or not I was going to school.
- 4:11Speaker 1: To school, it was where you were going to school.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So I went to Georgia Southern University. I am a
- 4:15Speaker 1: sorry ego. You know, Ego sore. We fly with the
- 4:18Speaker 1: best and we fly high. I ain't saying I'm looking
- 4:20Speaker 1: down on it, but it's a people, a couple of people.
- 4:21Speaker 1: I gotta look down alone. No Southern University. Graduated with
- 4:25Speaker 1: a b s. In marketing. I went to work for Sony.
- 4:28Speaker 1: From Sony, I went to work for Samsung, and then
- 4:30Speaker 1: I actually decided I wanted to go to law school.
- 4:32Speaker 1: I took the ls AD and decided in the meantime
- 4:35Speaker 1: while I'm text studying for the l SAD and then
- 4:37Speaker 1: I want to go take the test. I was like,
- 4:38Speaker 1: oh Lord, this ain't for me. That's why I said,
- 4:41Speaker 1: I just did that come about because that's a long
- 4:43Speaker 1: A lot of people when they take that journey, they
- 4:46Speaker 1: just they committed to it because they put so much time.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And how did you say this is not for me?
- 4:52Speaker 1: I know I've given a lot of my life in
- 4:55Speaker 1: that direction, but I'm willing to courageously shift yes, well,
- 4:59Speaker 1: you know, because I did not have a pre law
- 5:01Speaker 1: um you know background. I didn't take the pre law classes.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I just when I already always knew that I wanted
- 5:07Speaker 1: to be greater than I was, like, meaning, I wanted
- 5:10Speaker 1: to be educated. I wanted to be more articulate. I
- 5:12Speaker 1: wanted to make my mother proud. My mother was pushing
- 5:15Speaker 1: me to be a c I s. Major, which is
- 5:16Speaker 1: a computer information science degree. Let me tell you something.
- 5:20Speaker 1: My mother has that degree, and I don't think like
- 5:22Speaker 1: she does, right, so I don't have your mind version.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I was like, I'm never tell you something. I'm not
- 5:30Speaker 1: that smart. So I did the marketing degree because I
- 5:33Speaker 1: was actually ready to get out of school and I
- 5:35Speaker 1: knew that I could. I'm really good at debating. I'm
- 5:38Speaker 1: real good. And listen when I tell you I can
- 5:40Speaker 1: debate my argument down. So I was like, I would
- 5:42Speaker 1: be a good lawyer. And then you know, my cousin,
- 5:45Speaker 1: she actually went to Georgetown University in d C. And
- 5:47Speaker 1: I spent some time with her, even a higher academics
- 5:51Speaker 1: and you know, after going through the process of studying
- 5:53Speaker 1: for the else that and you know, learning what a
- 5:55Speaker 1: lawyer does in a day to day life, I just
- 5:57Speaker 1: felt like it wasn't for me. So I mean it
- 6:00Speaker 1: was a hard transition because well, actually, I'll take that back.
- 6:02Speaker 1: It wasn't so much hard. It wasn't a hard transition
- 6:05Speaker 1: because I knew I wanted to be happy and I
- 6:07Speaker 1: wanted to do something for me, and I wouldn't have
- 6:09Speaker 1: been pursuing a j D based on what my mother
- 6:12Speaker 1: wanted me to do or what other people thought I should.
- 6:15Speaker 1: It's a lot of people do that. Yes, a lot
- 6:17Speaker 1: of people have loans they can't pay back, and in
- 6:21Speaker 1: pursuit and the academic plans that can't deliver the income
- 6:24Speaker 1: to pay it back. Right, And I don't disagree with that.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I think if you're gonna if you're gonna invest in anything,
- 6:29Speaker 1: it should be your education. You know, people out here
- 6:31Speaker 1: will finance a car, they'll go ahead and they'll put
- 6:33Speaker 1: shoes and persons on layer way. Did you know the
- 6:36Speaker 1: people can put good handbags on the laylway. I didn't
- 6:39Speaker 1: know what. Okay, I didn't know that you could put
- 6:42Speaker 1: shoes and handbags and jeans and all these kind of things.
- 6:45Speaker 1: People will finance all these different things, but won't financial No, no, no,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I get it. But when we have you heard somebody
- 6:51Speaker 1: actually go put your good Jordan's people, my first cold
- 7:01Speaker 1: leather jacket cold cold. I don't know when that was,
- 7:07Speaker 1: but I'm gonna tell you right now. I'm gonna tell
- 7:09Speaker 1: you right now the people and look at talking to people.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Cold has nothing to do with the weather. I know
- 7:15Speaker 1: you said, you think you so cold, like you you
- 7:18Speaker 1: slick like it was. It was. It was chocolate brown
- 7:27Speaker 1: stch It was stitched. Okay, it had no lining was
- 7:31Speaker 1: the first mistake. And buying a leather jacket, Come on, now,
- 7:35Speaker 1: no lining because when they got cold, you was cold, right,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you're telling your age you call that that's cold, baby?
- 7:42Speaker 1: It was cold. But what I'm saying is, you know
- 7:44Speaker 1: there are people out here who will financed rims for
- 7:46Speaker 1: their cars, but won't put that same type of effort
- 7:49Speaker 1: or money into their education. So I don't run from that.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I did. I got some scholarships with some of the
- 7:54Speaker 1: money's I did have to get student loans. And I
- 7:56Speaker 1: encourage people, if you're listening, if you don't have all
- 7:59Speaker 1: the money to get education, do not let that deter you.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You use that everything every avenue and every opportunity you
- 8:04Speaker 1: have to go to school because even though you may
- 8:06Speaker 1: or may not use your education, but it's nothing more
- 8:09Speaker 1: feared than an educated person. You know why when you
- 8:13Speaker 1: come on my show, you've got a lot to say.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I do now, I'll I can count the words. I
- 8:22Speaker 1: count the words, and that's what the people say. Huh.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You know it's when you got you're wearing me out.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You'll be wearing me. I'll be like tied just watching
- 8:29Speaker 1: you talk on my I'm coming in here. I'm gonna
- 8:31Speaker 1: be here. What are you gonna be here again? So
- 8:32Speaker 1: I don't come here. I'm gonna talking to the general manager.
- 8:37Speaker 1: As you told me, he limits your pearances up here. No,
- 8:40Speaker 1: he did based my authority. Where is the Don't worry
- 8:43Speaker 1: about that. Don't worry about that. Let's take about this
- 8:45Speaker 1: transition of going from a corporate person to a real
- 8:50Speaker 1: estate We can talk about the ryal state. Now, where
- 8:53Speaker 1: did the rual estate license play into that? So I
- 8:56Speaker 1: moved to Houston, Texas. I was there absolutely. I went
- 9:00Speaker 1: to Houston to work for Samsung, and I could not
- 9:03Speaker 1: see myself living in an apartment forever. So my first
- 9:06Speaker 1: lease was fifteen months. My second lease was for six months,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and I knew that I wanted to buy a home.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I lived downtown on Sabine Street. I was paying an
- 9:14Speaker 1: astronomical amount of money for a one room loft, you
- 9:17Speaker 1: hear me. And I did that on purpose because I
- 9:20Speaker 1: wanted to see could I get acclimated to pay a mortgage.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So my my rent was like almost two thousand dollars
- 9:26Speaker 1: for a one room loft. And then in that means
- 9:28Speaker 1: and that in that time frame, I got my real
- 9:30Speaker 1: estate license because I knew that I was gonna buy
- 9:32Speaker 1: myself a house. And not only was I gonna buy
- 9:34Speaker 1: me a house, I was gonna sell my house to myself.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So I got my real estate license to sell me
- 9:38Speaker 1: my my own home. That's where it came from. That.
- 9:42Speaker 1: We're just the process in getting a real estate. Like
- 9:44Speaker 1: I know a difference in different states. In Texas, you said,
- 9:48Speaker 1: would you have to take a test? How do you
- 9:50Speaker 1: get you to get a test? In the real est?
- 9:52Speaker 1: In any state, you have to take the educational classes,
- 9:55Speaker 1: So it depends. Sometimes it's six or eight weeks, sometimes
- 9:57Speaker 1: it's four weeks to put it on where you are
- 9:59Speaker 1: you take the test, and I mean you take the
- 10:01Speaker 1: classes and then you have to take tests to pass
- 10:03Speaker 1: each class, and then from there you take the state exam.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And then I took the state exam. Now I ain't
- 10:08Speaker 1: gonna say I passed it on the very first try, honey,
- 10:10Speaker 1: because the test is hard. I did pass it um eventually,
- 10:15Speaker 1: don't you know what, don't throw no shade. First of
- 10:18Speaker 1: all the real estate classes, you have to yourself because
- 10:22Speaker 1: you are not kept selling me, No, you and you
- 10:26Speaker 1: just lost. No, you have to pass the exam with
- 10:29Speaker 1: a certain amount of percentage. And then so the thing
- 10:32Speaker 1: is if you had to pass it with the eighty
- 10:34Speaker 1: nine or eighty or whatever it was, for some reason,
- 10:37Speaker 1: the people just didn't want to give me that extra point.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It was always seven and nine seven nine. But that knowledge,
- 10:44Speaker 1: I've used that knowledge to buy and sell my own home.
- 10:47Speaker 1: And so you kept the commission. I did keep that check.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I wanted all the bags, and I do it still.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Now I'm licensing to states, and so what was the
- 10:54Speaker 1: difference between the I'm assuming Georgia. Well, there's not a
- 11:00Speaker 1: different there. And I get the fancy word that they use,
- 11:03Speaker 1: uh start with an R. It's a fancy word that
- 11:05Speaker 1: if the states are kind of like sister states, you
- 11:08Speaker 1: can just get um. You take the test. So I
- 11:09Speaker 1: took the state exam to get my license here in Georgia.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I didn't have to go through all the educational parks. Okay.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So so basically it's like almost I think it's yes,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'm smart. I just had to think. Okay, now let's talk.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Let's get back to stand up. Yes, okay, I didn't
- 11:27Speaker 1: know you're in Houston. You did not fortunate, honey, because
- 11:30Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, I could have made I
- 11:32Speaker 1: could have put some money in your pocket because Steve
- 11:34Speaker 1: Harvey was putting a lot of fancy your shirt for
- 11:41Speaker 1: like money. Okay, go ahead, Well you're sitting next to
- 11:43Speaker 1: money money making conversation. But I cannot be on this
- 11:46Speaker 1: show is a broke looking person hosting money making conversation.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I know my listeners, I know what they expect. You know,
- 11:53Speaker 1: I'm not saying that I'm out there trying to be
- 11:55Speaker 1: fly because of them, because my success is based on
- 11:58Speaker 1: my hard work and my plans and my or the
- 12:00Speaker 1: goals that I said in place. So this is what
- 12:03Speaker 1: this is all about. Now when we come back, because
- 12:05Speaker 1: he's giving me the finger of transition, we gotta go
- 12:07Speaker 1: to commercial. We gotta go to commercial. And when we
- 12:09Speaker 1: come back, but I want to make sure we talk
- 12:11Speaker 1: about is the Montreal Comedy Festive. Yes, you gotta come
- 12:15Speaker 1: up as a huge opportunity. I know that I want
- 12:18Speaker 1: to play an important role in getting you prepared for that.
- 12:20Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about that. We're gonna talk about the book,
- 12:22Speaker 1: so we'll talk about you know, the comedy cocktails, all
- 12:25Speaker 1: that stuff when we come back. The Star. Because you're
- 12:28Speaker 1: on my show, I'm a calling to star. I'm start
- 12:31Speaker 1: in the world of Sister Circle Live. Ean mcgonne. You're
- 12:36Speaker 1: listening to money making conversations. Be right back now. I'm
- 12:43Speaker 1: back to my favorite guest. She's live in Studio MS
- 12:46Speaker 1: Dancing with the Star of Sister Circle Live, then airs
- 12:49Speaker 1: on My twenty and the Atlanta Market TL. It's my
- 12:54Speaker 1: It's my eighty. I don't know what my twenty is.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Is that? Okay? Well whatever I think? So he had
- 12:59Speaker 1: a quick I'm just I'm just hosting this show. I'm
- 13:02Speaker 1: not managing you. So if I get information wrong about you,
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't look at me and a like like I messed
- 13:06Speaker 1: up your life. I want to quit? What what can
- 13:08Speaker 1: I get? One? First of all, you go to get
- 13:10Speaker 1: quip dot com I want one. I'm gonna tell you so.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I got mine on Friday, came in on Friday, and uh,
- 13:18Speaker 1: it's just cool little silver package. You know, it's like
- 13:20Speaker 1: the top secret stuff. You know, open the pack and
- 13:23Speaker 1: it's so small and it's like and it's the cool
- 13:25Speaker 1: thing about it. They have this little adhesive strip you
- 13:28Speaker 1: can just stick on your mirror. I don't just stick
- 13:33Speaker 1: it right there, just stick the little the whole toothbrush
- 13:36Speaker 1: and you can just take it off the brush so
- 13:37Speaker 1: it's not laying down, it's not laying on your counter.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It's right there in front of you and you just
- 13:42Speaker 1: put it right there. It's like a little battery slide
- 13:44Speaker 1: in there. Every three months they send you, So they're
- 13:48Speaker 1: gonna send me one. I'm telling about you if you
- 13:51Speaker 1: don't mind, but if you had your own show, they
- 13:52Speaker 1: really because you know you were at these gap this
- 13:57Speaker 1: gap teeth, these teeth in my mouth need to be
- 14:00Speaker 1: equipped or you're going with your career? Come on, are
- 14:05Speaker 1: you going in life? Here? I'm going places San Antonio.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I will be in Texas my second annual conventions. Well
- 14:16Speaker 1: you know I'm going to be speaking on a panel.
- 14:20Speaker 1: It's to me too. Panel where we address a lot
- 14:22Speaker 1: of issues that are going on in the entertainment, you
- 14:26Speaker 1: know industry. UM. As you know, I'm a child molestation survivor,
- 14:29Speaker 1: so I've been really open about talking about UM how
- 14:31Speaker 1: I made it through UM. The name of my book,
- 14:34Speaker 1: which we're featuring there, is called by by Bags Laughing too,
- 14:36Speaker 1: lighting the low, and bags literally mean the baggage that
- 14:39Speaker 1: you have in your life. So you have to make
- 14:41Speaker 1: a decision whether you're gonna pick them up or drop them.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And I've decided to drop my bags, and I discussed
- 14:46Speaker 1: in the book how I used laughing to heal myself whole.
- 14:48Speaker 1: So it's a lot of people, including you and myself
- 14:51Speaker 1: and people in this room, who have some sort of baggage.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Whatever it is, whatever your baggage is, but it's a
- 14:55Speaker 1: decision that you have to make whether you're gonna let
- 14:58Speaker 1: that baggage determine your future. Let it go. That's that's
- 15:02Speaker 1: important because sometimes you have to let it go. You
- 15:05Speaker 1: have to let it go. Even then when you're making
- 15:06Speaker 1: career decisions, even relationships. A lot of people hold on
- 15:09Speaker 1: the relationships too long. They have jobs in there, they're
- 15:13Speaker 1: there right now. They actually should go. But I always chell,
- 15:16Speaker 1: people don't let that job go before you get the
- 15:19Speaker 1: other job. Come on now, now, I'm gonna say this
- 15:21Speaker 1: because we are I am speaking on the me Too
- 15:23Speaker 1: platform panel. But I do discuss the fact that I
- 15:26Speaker 1: walked away from a ten year relationship. I do discuss
- 15:29Speaker 1: the fact that I walked away from six figures in
- 15:31Speaker 1: the you know, corporate America, and I never looked back.
- 15:34Speaker 1: So when I went from making six figures they laid
- 15:36Speaker 1: me off, the average person will be crying in the corner.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Did they lay you off or did you walk away?
- 15:41Speaker 1: They laid me off walking away a nice package. They
- 15:46Speaker 1: laid me off with a good just get your version
- 15:48Speaker 1: lay off. No, I'll walk away. I went in there,
- 15:51Speaker 1: so I'm out. No, I got laid off. But here's
- 15:55Speaker 1: the thing. There was other opportunities for me to go
- 15:57Speaker 1: back to work in corporate America. They do. They listen,
- 16:00Speaker 1: and I want you to hear me clearly. When Samsung
- 16:02Speaker 1: laid me off, okay, I said, okay, I see you
- 16:05Speaker 1: give me my money. I'm gonna go. But then other
- 16:07Speaker 1: companies came calling. Because I'm good at what I do.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I was managing the team. Fourth Largist, fourth Largist territory
- 16:13Speaker 1: in the country boy. Samsung and other companies called me
- 16:17Speaker 1: and they were like, hey, we would like to, you know,
- 16:18Speaker 1: talk to you about bringing you on. No, you won't
- 16:20Speaker 1: because I was already in my mind, had already made
- 16:23Speaker 1: up in my mind that I'm funny. I can make
- 16:24Speaker 1: some money at this. And that's what I did. I
- 16:26Speaker 1: went to l A, packed my bags and my car, honey,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and went to l A looking pretty in active. Funny.
- 16:31Speaker 1: That's what I did, and I left. But I left
- 16:33Speaker 1: what I didn't really have a plan. You don't have
- 16:35Speaker 1: a plan, you know, because I just thought funny and
- 16:37Speaker 1: I had dates, like comedy dates. But that's not really
- 16:39Speaker 1: a plan, you know. I had a plane, I thought.
- 16:45Speaker 1: But again, entertainment is kind of interesting. It is because
- 16:48Speaker 1: there are no rules to it. It's like it's not
- 16:50Speaker 1: working to Samsung. Is not the working that IBM or
- 16:52Speaker 1: work in the general Electric. You can go there and said, look,
- 16:55Speaker 1: I want to be a supervisor. I want to I
- 16:57Speaker 1: want to transfer to another state. You can't do that.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Entertainment is a twenty four hour emotional emotional roller. Coaches. Sometimes,
- 17:07Speaker 1: when when you're your happiest, you're the most frustrating and
- 17:10Speaker 1: sometimes when you're having your biggest moment, it made not last.
- 17:13Speaker 1: And then when sometimes when you're surrounding around by a
- 17:17Speaker 1: lot of people, you're still lonely. So it's just every
- 17:20Speaker 1: it's always something. Everybody have a different story to tell
- 17:22Speaker 1: when you're in the entertainment. And that's why people always
- 17:25Speaker 1: wonder why comedians aren't funny off stage. You know, they
- 17:28Speaker 1: want us to be just just a jester performing and
- 17:32Speaker 1: that's not gonna happen. That's gonna happen. So we made
- 17:35Speaker 1: that nice transition to what I'm excited to talk about.
- 17:38Speaker 1: What you want to talk to the people about Montreal
- 17:41Speaker 1: Comedy Festival that you will be making appearance and July
- 17:45Speaker 1: Twitter fifth July is big for you? Is yep? So
- 17:51Speaker 1: I'm you're still hosting production is still in place with
- 17:54Speaker 1: the circle. Yeah, I'm not listen, let me tell you something.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not giving up my seat. So for
- 18:01Speaker 1: all those who are voluing for that on shooting for
- 18:04Speaker 1: standing down, so I would be in Montreal for comedy,
- 18:07Speaker 1: for the Montreal Comedy Festival, It's gonna be amazing. I'm
- 18:10Speaker 1: actually gonna be I was invited by Kevin Hart laugh
- 18:12Speaker 1: alloud Kevin Hard I think I know that. I think
- 18:15Speaker 1: you're not that man. So um, he's bringing me up
- 18:18Speaker 1: there to to do me to have a good time,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and he has a new network called laugh aut Looud.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So I'm super excited because I've been trying to um
- 18:26Speaker 1: make this transition into the Montreal Comedy Festival for a
- 18:29Speaker 1: long time. It is one of the longest comedy festivals
- 18:32Speaker 1: in the world and one of the biggest comedy festivals,
- 18:34Speaker 1: so to be affiliated with this is awesome. I'm gonna
- 18:37Speaker 1: just give people a little history to Montreal Comedy Comedy
- 18:40Speaker 1: Festival because it is long. You go up there as
- 18:43Speaker 1: an industry uh. Now they have an aspen, they got
- 18:45Speaker 1: a lot of people kind of have bidden off that
- 18:47Speaker 1: that version of it. But you will go up there
- 18:49Speaker 1: as a talent, comedic talent and uh, industry executive managers,
- 18:54Speaker 1: agencies will all come up there looking for fresh talent,
- 18:57Speaker 1: whether they can put them in sitcoms or whether they
- 18:59Speaker 1: can say I want to manage you have star appeal.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So it's a big opportunity because Steve Harvey, that's how
- 19:06Speaker 1: he got his first ABC TV show, Come Out and
- 19:09Speaker 1: the Parents in two at the Montreal Comedy festival, and
- 19:14Speaker 1: so I know it works. And that's just one a minute.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And I'm just saying just and that's we're back at
- 19:19Speaker 1: eighty two. So when you said it's been around a
- 19:21Speaker 1: long time, that lets people let people know that's that.
- 19:24Speaker 1: You know, that's a long it's legit. And so what
- 19:26Speaker 1: you been there and you getting the opportunity? What what
- 19:29Speaker 1: are you expecting for yourself? I don't want you to
- 19:31Speaker 1: get so high because I know the agents are going
- 19:33Speaker 1: to be there, the managers is going to be their television,
- 19:36Speaker 1: Netflix up, you know, Amazon, Digital formats. What are you
- 19:40Speaker 1: trying to accomplish at the Montreal Comedy Fest? Well, a
- 19:43Speaker 1: couple of things I'm trying to accomplish. First of all,
- 19:45Speaker 1: I need an agent. I want an agent that can
- 19:47Speaker 1: see me for all that I am, whether that's television,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you know, Netflix opportunities. I would like to walk away
- 19:53Speaker 1: with a relationship with Netflix, and I would like a
- 19:55Speaker 1: one hour special. I would also like to just have
- 19:58Speaker 1: a you know, begin a conversation about my own on sitcom.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I have a lot to offer in reference to that movies. Honey,
- 20:04Speaker 1: she got a lot to discuss. Um. Maybe even someone
- 20:07Speaker 1: to you know, say hey, I want to put you
- 20:08Speaker 1: on tour, So let's do that too. I have a tour,
- 20:10Speaker 1: but I need a big tour. I need an old,
- 20:12Speaker 1: big money grip tour. I need an old, nice, nasty
- 20:15Speaker 1: hundred city tour. I need somebody got some money, cut
- 20:17Speaker 1: a big old chat. Come on, I need that kind
- 20:20Speaker 1: of tool in again. I got things to do with
- 20:22Speaker 1: my life. I just wanted to say, you need to
- 20:26Speaker 1: understand it's about Rashawn now. Whatever our part time bill brands. See,
- 20:32Speaker 1: that's like our relationship, your part time brand builder. For me,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I can't give you no more because I gotta give whatever.
- 20:40Speaker 1: So when I got a deal like they'd like to
- 20:42Speaker 1: get paid, ain't nobody worried about the deal. It's all
- 20:44Speaker 1: about me. But listen, I expected when I go to
- 20:51Speaker 1: my plans and they don't care what I know they do.
- 20:56Speaker 1: So my goal to when I go to Montreal Comedy Festival,
- 20:59Speaker 1: it's really to come back with something, you know, an agent,
- 21:02Speaker 1: a deal, an opportunity. I'm not going up there just
- 21:05Speaker 1: for exposure, although exposure is absolutely what I want to
- 21:10Speaker 1: three times, three times on three different stages. So how
- 21:13Speaker 1: much time, how much eight minutes each should be different? Um? Well,
- 21:19Speaker 1: you know that's what that's for discussion. I've been told
- 21:22Speaker 1: to keep it three sets of the same because the
- 21:24Speaker 1: audience do change. But I'm not sure, so I need
- 21:28Speaker 1: to talk to un about that and see what's Every
- 21:31Speaker 1: comedian reach their crowd, they read the energy. You know,
- 21:35Speaker 1: it might be somebody sitting on the front row you
- 21:37Speaker 1: might say hi to because change the direction. But I
- 21:40Speaker 1: always tell people go up practice that eight minutes just
- 21:43Speaker 1: in case that eight minutes may not go as well
- 21:46Speaker 1: as you want to and if you don't practice it,
- 21:48Speaker 1: that eight minutes can easily become three minutes. Okay, I've
- 21:51Speaker 1: been there. I've looked around during a forty five minutes said,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and I'm a twenty five minutes and I've done the
- 21:56Speaker 1: forty five minutes right. You're going through it right, right,
- 22:00Speaker 1: because because I didn't, I just blew through and didn't
- 22:03Speaker 1: didn't have faith in the material. So you know it's
- 22:06Speaker 1: really important, all right, So this week we're gonna get
- 22:08Speaker 1: together twice, look at your said, and get you ready
- 22:11Speaker 1: because I think it's important that I'm proud of you.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Thank you first of all, thank you for coming back
- 22:15Speaker 1: on the show. And you're a talent, young lady. Don't
- 22:19Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. We're gonna joke back and forth,
- 22:21Speaker 1: but you are a pal of talent and I'm blessed
- 22:23Speaker 1: to be able to bring you on my show and
- 22:25Speaker 1: also to promote your brain. And they can't know how
- 22:27Speaker 1: good you are. So you're gonna tell the people I
- 22:29Speaker 1: got a comedy show coming up augustly, because you're gonna
