- 2:02Speaker 1: good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harley got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show. I was talking with my wife and she
- 2:13Speaker 1: said something her father always used to tell her. Oh,
- 2:16Speaker 1: Pop Bridges used to tell her all the time, just
- 2:19Speaker 1: because you can do something don't mean you should do it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: You know, I can't tell you how many times I've
- 2:25Speaker 1: had to learn that in my life. You know, just
- 2:27Speaker 1: because you can do something does not necessarily mean you
- 2:32Speaker 1: should do it. You know, I could tell people off oftentimes,
- 2:37Speaker 1: but it don't mean I should do it. You know.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I could go here and set the record straight a
- 2:43Speaker 1: lot of times, but it don't mean I should do it. Well,
- 2:48Speaker 1: I've learned a lot in that lesson folks, and because
- 2:54Speaker 1: I have a relationship with my creator. What it's done
- 2:57Speaker 1: is it's allowed me are to learn even more how
- 3:02Speaker 1: to stay still on a lot of issues that's troubling me.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It's taught me over the years. I've learned it the
- 3:09Speaker 1: hard way. I do want you to understand that that
- 3:11Speaker 1: sometimes it's better to be still. Sometimes it's better to
- 3:14Speaker 1: just let God handle a situation. It's hard to say, man.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I know it's hard to say because we think as people.
- 3:22Speaker 1: But if I do this, I would feel better. If
- 3:25Speaker 1: I do this, they would know it's coming from me.
- 3:29Speaker 1: If I do this now, they're feel how I feel. See.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But that's not always the best way though, I found
- 3:36Speaker 1: in my life. See, sometimes you gotta like old people
- 3:39Speaker 1: used to say, you gotta let go and let God.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Sometimes you got to do that. I'm gonna tell you something, man,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I learned a lot from my mother being a Sunday
- 3:46Speaker 1: school teacher. But you know, at the same time, when
- 3:48Speaker 1: she was when I was young, I thought she was
- 3:50Speaker 1: just an old, old person just talking to me. I
- 3:52Speaker 1: didn't get it. You know how you talk to you,
- 3:54Speaker 1: You know how your parents used to talk to you,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and you didn't get it, and they used to always say,
- 3:58Speaker 1: well wait till you have your own kids, as you
- 4:00Speaker 1: would get it then and show enough you got it, then,
- 4:03Speaker 1: Well I'm the same way. I'm no different you know.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I don't have no different life than you. You know,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I have no different upbringing than you. I don't have
- 4:08Speaker 1: no different different ways that I can live and you can't.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You know that I gotta live by the same laws
- 4:15Speaker 1: of the land that you gotta live by. I gotta
- 4:17Speaker 1: obey the principles of success. If I want to be successful.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I got a bam and you know, and if I
- 4:21Speaker 1: want to go to heaven, I gotta do what God
- 4:24Speaker 1: tell me to do as many times as I can. Now,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you ain't gonna get it at all, right, but he
- 4:28Speaker 1: understand that, and I just get on with the best
- 4:31Speaker 1: I can. But so many times, man, we get stuck.
- 4:35Speaker 1: We get stuck right there, man, worrying about you know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: how it's gonna come across and and what you know,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm you know, I'm kind of going around here because
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'm trying to find a way to tell you this
- 4:48Speaker 1: that that that you won't get twisted. Hit the bottom line,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you gotta let go and let God, you have to
- 4:55Speaker 1: allow him to do it his way. See my way,
- 4:59Speaker 1: I thought myself to a certain point. But to go further,
- 5:03Speaker 1: I had to let God have it. You know. I
- 5:05Speaker 1: found out I wasn't all that good a driver. I
- 5:07Speaker 1: found out I wouldn't all that good of all explore
- 5:11Speaker 1: with a map. I found out my compa skills was
- 5:14Speaker 1: oftentimes a little bit off. I found out that my
- 5:18Speaker 1: map reading skills wasn't what I thought it was. So
- 5:21Speaker 1: I had to let go. I had to let God.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And you got to understand that God works in mysterious ways,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you know, and right how often had I thought it
- 5:29Speaker 1: was over for me? But what God was doing was
- 5:33Speaker 1: he was teaching me a lesson. He was showing me
- 5:36Speaker 1: something that I needed to know. He was allowing me
- 5:39Speaker 1: to experience something. But he didn't let me go under.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You know how they say God had never put more
- 5:44Speaker 1: on you than you can boil. He won't let you
- 5:46Speaker 1: go under. But he did not say you know, It's
- 5:49Speaker 1: like the scripture that Bishop Omer taught me when I
- 5:52Speaker 1: was going through that traumatic thing on the internet. Man,
- 5:54Speaker 1: it was really really man trying to destroy what I
- 5:57Speaker 1: had worked for and my family, and it just new
- 6:00Speaker 1: life to God had presented me. And the devil is busy.
- 6:02Speaker 1: The devil don't like to see you happy. So here
- 6:04Speaker 1: he comes. He puts you under attack, and here comes
- 6:07Speaker 1: internet and everything. And my kids are suffering. But you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: here comes God. Though, see, God don't put more on
- 6:13Speaker 1: you than you can. Bad. Bishop Almah sent me a scripture.
- 6:17Speaker 1: He sent me Isaiah forty three one and two. And
- 6:20Speaker 1: then that scripture it says to the effect that you
- 6:24Speaker 1: can walk through the water of the rivers and the
- 6:27Speaker 1: water won't overcome you. But then it said, you can
- 6:30Speaker 1: walk through the fire and you will not get burned,
- 6:34Speaker 1: nor will kindling set upon your clothing. I learned something
- 6:39Speaker 1: very valuable that day. See, God sent me through something,
- 6:43Speaker 1: but he was showing me something too. Now he didn't
- 6:46Speaker 1: do it. See, God didn't bring that calamity into my life,
- 6:50Speaker 1: because in Isaiah fifty four seventeen it says clearly that
- 6:54Speaker 1: if anyone comes against you, it will not be my doing.
- 6:58Speaker 1: But he now, this is what he promised you when
- 7:00Speaker 1: people come for you, though, see, and this is what
- 7:02Speaker 1: I learned. That's why I have no fear of the
- 7:04Speaker 1: people coming anymore. See, because I learned that. But God
- 7:08Speaker 1: had to send me through a traumatic experience in order
- 7:11Speaker 1: for me to learn that. See, you can't have a
- 7:13Speaker 1: testimony without a test you know what I'm staying. You
- 7:17Speaker 1: can't learn nothing without a lesson. See. So what he
- 7:19Speaker 1: did was he allowed that internet thing come crossed into
- 7:22Speaker 1: my life. But he taught me something. And Isaiah forty
- 7:25Speaker 1: three one and two was and you can walk through
- 7:27Speaker 1: the fire and not get burned, nor what kindling set
- 7:30Speaker 1: upon your clothing. So what that said to me was,
- 7:33Speaker 1: even though you're trying to do me and it's fire
- 7:36Speaker 1: all around me, I won't burn. But when it's over,
- 7:40Speaker 1: kindling won't set upon your clothing. What that showed me
- 7:43Speaker 1: was and what it taught me was not only would
- 7:45Speaker 1: I walk through the fire and not get burned, but
- 7:48Speaker 1: there would be no signs that I was ever in
- 7:51Speaker 1: the fire. There's no signs of it. But now hold up, though,
- 7:54Speaker 1: now he go to part though that I had to
- 7:57Speaker 1: learn even though you can walk through the fire, y'all,
- 7:59Speaker 1: and even though you're being flames and scorching all around you,
- 8:03Speaker 1: if you trust him, he ain't gonna let you burn.
- 8:05Speaker 1: But now hear what he did not say. Though he
- 8:07Speaker 1: did not say that it was not going to be
- 8:11Speaker 1: uncomfortably hot, wickedly hot in there. He can't say that.
- 8:16Speaker 1: He just said you won't burn. And when it's over,
- 8:20Speaker 1: it won't be no killing on your clo it won't
- 8:22Speaker 1: be no signs that you was in the fire. See
- 8:24Speaker 1: what happened to me was after they tried to destroy me.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Let me show you what God did from it. Not
- 8:28Speaker 1: only did I not only did they not accomplish what
- 8:31Speaker 1: they set out to do, but when they was through
- 8:33Speaker 1: with me though, when they was through throwing the gas
- 8:36Speaker 1: and throwing the fine, throwing the hate and writing it
- 8:39Speaker 1: in lyning and creating all these names for themselves so
- 8:43Speaker 1: it could look like more people was hating when they
- 8:45Speaker 1: got through it all that. Look at me, man, Look
- 8:50Speaker 1: what he did to me. Look what he did from me,
- 8:53Speaker 1: because he taught me something that day. And I'm sharing
- 8:56Speaker 1: it with you because God will do the same thing
- 8:58Speaker 1: for you. But you how to trust him though. You
- 9:01Speaker 1: got to get in there and you got to let
- 9:02Speaker 1: him do it. You gotta let him handle it. So,
- 9:05Speaker 1: just like Pop Bridges taught my wife, Margie, just because
- 9:08Speaker 1: you can do something, don't mean y'all to do something. Yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you could go down there and straighten the mouth. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: should you though? Yeah, you can go down there and
- 9:15Speaker 1: tell them all. Yeah, you can go down stand up
- 9:16Speaker 1: and make sure they know it's your voice that they're hearing,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and you can get in their face and make a scene.
- 9:21Speaker 1: But should you though, or should you let go and
- 9:25Speaker 1: let God see? So before we run all out in
- 9:29Speaker 1: the streets and somebody that that that that we forming
- 9:34Speaker 1: these groups and somebody go out there and do something crazy,
- 9:36Speaker 1: let's hold tight. Now I'm not saying don't go out there,
- 9:39Speaker 1: but you gotta watch who you go out there with,
- 9:41Speaker 1: because somebody crazy you could be. You can go down
- 9:44Speaker 1: there with peace in your heart. Somebody deside I'm gonna
- 9:46Speaker 1: throw a brick through here and bust a wonder. Hold up, partner,
- 9:49Speaker 1: Hold up, there ain't what we're down here doing. So see, sometimes, man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you gotta let go, and you gotta let God. You
- 9:54Speaker 1: gotta let God have a situation sometimes and you get
- 9:57Speaker 1: it in and do the things that he tell you
- 9:58Speaker 1: to do. See Bits of a Woman and taught me
- 10:00Speaker 1: a lot. He had another book out and he said,
- 10:03Speaker 1: you know, knowing God's Voice or something like that. I'm
- 10:05Speaker 1: not sure the title, but I never really knew the
- 10:08Speaker 1: definition of how do you know as God's voice talking
- 10:11Speaker 1: to you? Well, he clearly made a statement. God's voice
- 10:16Speaker 1: has no sin in it. See anything you're talking about.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Whenever you're talking about, I'm gonna go I'm gonna show him.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna get him back. I'm gonna write a letter
- 10:24Speaker 1: and I'm gonna tell him down at his job. If
- 10:27Speaker 1: it's sin in it, God ain't in it. See thats
- 10:29Speaker 1: you now, God's voice has no sin in it. So
- 10:34Speaker 1: when you say God told me, be careful because God
- 10:39Speaker 1: ain't never told you to go do nothing wrong. That
- 10:41Speaker 1: ain't what he told you. And I learned that too.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It's a lot, so I'm just sharing to day. I
- 10:46Speaker 1: hope it helps somebody today get through a difficult time
- 10:49Speaker 1: because the show has helped me. And I'm just talking
- 10:52Speaker 1: to myself now because i got another one I'm looking at.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I'm dealing with it though. I'm all good. Please know
- 10:56Speaker 1: you're listening, ladies and gentlemen. Let me have your attention, please,
- 11:06Speaker 1: why because he's about to go down, well all off
- 11:12Speaker 1: up in here. When a boy right now hot come called,
- 11:18Speaker 1: we wanted to what fault called? We bought it who
- 11:25Speaker 1: knel all us? Like that? Tommy Julie, who knel who
- 11:32Speaker 1: knel all us? Yes? And now the person who was
- 11:37Speaker 1: offended by all of that, Shirley Strawbacks. Good morning, Steve
- 11:42Speaker 1: calling Parrel, Good morning Steve. Hay crew, junior boy. What's
- 11:47Speaker 1: going on? Matthew tummy got it on it bout it?
- 11:55Speaker 1: I want I want to do some questions today. I
- 11:57Speaker 1: don't know why I like that little segment. You love
- 11:59Speaker 1: asked Steve. We have asked you everything. Okay, Steve, You've
- 12:09Speaker 1: done everything. Uh. And what are some of the things
- 12:12Speaker 1: you look forward to doing upon retirement because you know
- 12:17Speaker 1: you're going to retire at some point. Golfing a lot,
- 12:21Speaker 1: probably at least twice a week, maybe three. I want
- 12:26Speaker 1: to play golf twice a week, maybe I would love that,
- 12:31Speaker 1: or if not, once a week would be great. I
- 12:35Speaker 1: want to go see some more of the world. Okay,
- 12:39Speaker 1: that's good. The United States is very, very small in
- 12:43Speaker 1: the total scheme of things. Uh. I want to live
- 12:48Speaker 1: in Africa where I haven't decided yet. Yeah, I do
- 12:55Speaker 1: want to go live in Africa, yea, very much. It's
- 12:59Speaker 1: just some I've been thinking about lately, and so like
- 13:02Speaker 1: for a period of time or forever? Little? I mean,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you don't come here, but you don't like it here? Okay,
- 13:08Speaker 1: you know this area. Yeah, I'm familiar, you know, but
- 13:12Speaker 1: I but I've wanted to live in Africa for quite
- 13:16Speaker 1: some time. But I also want to place in the
- 13:18Speaker 1: Middle East. M hmm. Okay, Now, what you're gonna do
- 13:23Speaker 1: over there? You come to hate come to Hay Yeah,
- 13:30Speaker 1: kind of miss his uncle. I'm talking about what you're
- 13:34Speaker 1: gonna do in the middle what's wrong with the Middle quest?
- 13:36Speaker 1: What est? What's the East? So popular? Peace? In the
- 13:42Speaker 1: Middle East? Abu Dhabi, dubuie very very peaceful place to live.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Junior has a question. Still so much crime? Yeah? Man,
- 13:53Speaker 1: after you get done, do you ever see yourself ever
- 13:55Speaker 1: just doing something regular, like just sitting on the porch
- 13:57Speaker 1: for a few hours and talking. You can't. I don't
- 14:00Speaker 1: want porch. What do you mean you don't want a port?
- 14:05Speaker 1: I don't want a port I've always had I got
- 14:16Speaker 1: back by the pool, but not on the point you
- 14:19Speaker 1: got one, Carla, I do we could do when we come?
- 14:21Speaker 1: Oh well, we'll maybe do some more of these throughout
- 14:24Speaker 1: the show. Steve, we gotta get out of here right now.
- 14:26Speaker 1: All right, hang on to that, hang onto your question, Carla.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two after the hour, we'll do
- 14:32Speaker 1: more of Asked Steve Why because Steve likes it? And
- 14:35Speaker 1: guess what is his show? Okay? At it like that.
- 14:40Speaker 1: We'll be back at thirty two after the hour you're
- 14:43Speaker 1: listening to. All right, Steve, We're back with ask Steve,
- 14:49Speaker 1: one of your favorite segments. Um, all right, I think
- 14:52Speaker 1: you had a question, carl Know what, A lot of
- 14:54Speaker 1: times I don't get to say like inner things about myself,
- 14:58Speaker 1: you know what I really think I feel. No nobody
- 15:00Speaker 1: really asked me that. I'll say like that. Okay, okay,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I got a quick Remember keep your answer short though,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I mean, you know, with my horse you know, I
- 15:09Speaker 1: mean know with my radio audience, because that's a different
- 15:11Speaker 1: audience for me. Oh yeah, yeah yeah. And you can
- 15:14Speaker 1: do you more questions in what was the last item
- 15:23Speaker 1: you purchased? Awesome clothes? What some mo money? Oh? Our money? Suits?
- 15:31Speaker 1: No suits? There ain't nothing wrong with them. I warn't
- 15:34Speaker 1: passing shirts stuff like that. I got two pair of
- 15:37Speaker 1: money shoes. I had them for years, still wearing. But
- 15:40Speaker 1: just some summer stuff slacks, Oh okay, one shirt about
- 15:46Speaker 1: three pair of pants Boston mother stuff had to get altered,
- 15:49Speaker 1: but they real fly them. Oh, I like it. Getting
- 15:53Speaker 1: ready for some spring. Yeah, I got one. I got one.
- 15:58Speaker 1: If you could make a rule for the day that
- 16:02Speaker 1: everybody had to abide by, what would that rule? Don't
- 16:06Speaker 1: ask me for nothing? You talking to us to abide
- 16:13Speaker 1: by the rule, Tommy, anybody, everybody don't ask me for nothing.
- 16:18Speaker 1: That'd be great if if I win a day. Seriously, man,
- 16:22Speaker 1: if I win a day without a series of people
- 16:25Speaker 1: asking me for something, that that would that would be
- 16:28Speaker 1: a great day. Man, Like, like, what what do people
- 16:31Speaker 1: ask you? I mean, the only thing I could really
- 16:33Speaker 1: think that they ask you for is one, of course, money,
- 16:36Speaker 1: that's not a day. That's not a single day that
- 16:40Speaker 1: goes by somebody. Don't ask me for somebody, not a
- 16:44Speaker 1: single day. And then number two, I would think when
- 16:46Speaker 1: people would want and want you to help them with something.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Help at number three my time? But you like helping people.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I think I'm a problem with helping some people. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:01Speaker 1: you know what, man, But some people try to make
- 17:03Speaker 1: you think like you have an obligation to them, and
- 17:06Speaker 1: that's and that's what kind of ticks me off. A
- 17:08Speaker 1: little bit, and then I don't like people trying to
- 17:11Speaker 1: monopolize my own time for their own selfish games, nothing
- 17:15Speaker 1: to do with me, no benefit to me. But if
- 17:18Speaker 1: I give them my time, it's all a benefit to them.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Then when I don't have time for them, not eight.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Now I'm trifling. Okay, I got it, I got it. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: all right. You mentioned earlier you want to see more
- 17:28Speaker 1: of the world, you like to travel in things. So
- 17:30Speaker 1: so I gotta ask you this, Would you ever ever
- 17:33Speaker 1: travel to space? Would you ever get in a spaceship?
- 17:36Speaker 1: And no, you wouldn't do that because a lot of
- 17:39Speaker 1: that exciting. Yeah, but I go up there for what, well,
- 17:43Speaker 1: to see see see what? Uh yeah, let's see it
- 17:49Speaker 1: all from here a telescope. Okay, all right, so that's
- 17:52Speaker 1: all going up in no space? Okay, they say his
- 17:57Speaker 1: nice yeah, and be witless up there and stuff. You know,
- 18:01Speaker 1: thirty million when you can get in that down here. No,
- 18:03Speaker 1: ain't going to be in space for thirty millions fifty No, No,
- 18:07Speaker 1: listen to me. People don't come back, y'all't to hear
- 18:09Speaker 1: about Okay, there is no doubt people don't come back
- 18:15Speaker 1: back all the time. Yeah, I mean we've lost quite
- 18:20Speaker 1: a few of astrocacts in this program. Go up there,
- 18:23Speaker 1: not for no fifth, nothing else. He don't know how long,
- 18:27Speaker 1: just for however long the run is. I mean, you
- 18:30Speaker 1: know however longs for a week? Yeah? Where long they
- 18:33Speaker 1: stayed on him? All right, Junior? Your question, he's bad
- 18:37Speaker 1: for him in this suit for a week? You gotta
- 18:41Speaker 1: be kidding here, I deal with I get out this
- 18:45Speaker 1: damn space ahead, Junior. All right, who would you like
- 18:51Speaker 1: to sit down and have a conversation with over a
- 18:53Speaker 1: cigar with if you haven't had a chance to Tiger Woods?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Tiger Yeah, to be that would be like my great
- 19:03Speaker 1: gift to both of us. Well, I mean, would it
- 19:05Speaker 1: be about golf tips or golf tips? Yeah? From him
- 19:10Speaker 1: to you? Oh no, you can't help me out. I
- 19:12Speaker 1: don't play that good. Well maybe if he gave you
- 19:16Speaker 1: some tips. No, I'm wanna look golf. I'm gonna talk
- 19:19Speaker 1: to him about life. I'll talk to him about this father.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, let me ask one go ahead, if if,
- 19:30Speaker 1: if you could be reincordinated and come back, what would
- 19:34Speaker 1: you come back at me? Other than yourself? Steve? I
- 19:42Speaker 1: think that's a great name. No, you know I like me.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I'm okay with me, the good, the bad, ugly all.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I'm okay with me. You're winning. You're a pretty cool person.
- 19:56Speaker 1: What you oh, I'm sorry? Okay, ready, Steve? What makes
- 20:04Speaker 1: you annoyed? I can't stand everything. I can't stand in competence,
- 20:14Speaker 1: you know what? Man? Like if I tell a person
- 20:17Speaker 1: a man, you're doing this wrong. You a man, I'm
- 20:20Speaker 1: telling you you're you're blowing it. Man, you're messing it up,
- 20:23Speaker 1: and you steady do it that like IRGs me to
- 20:27Speaker 1: no end. If, especially if I'm telling you for your
- 20:30Speaker 1: own good and I know it could help you get
- 20:32Speaker 1: to where you're trying to get to, but you continually
- 20:35Speaker 1: do it Like I'm gonna tell you something, man, there's
- 20:37Speaker 1: a person in around me who has no idea how
- 20:43Speaker 1: to manage time and to be organized. And it's the
- 20:47Speaker 1: most frustrating thing because I tell them over and over
- 20:50Speaker 1: and over again, you've got to get better management of
- 20:53Speaker 1: your time and you gotta get organizational skills or you're
- 20:56Speaker 1: gonna blow it, man. And I tell them this all
- 20:59Speaker 1: the time, all the time, and it's so frustrating to
- 21:03Speaker 1: watch a really, really talented person and you know, the
- 21:06Speaker 1: thing that's holding them back because you're familiar and you
- 21:10Speaker 1: tell it to them out of love, you give it
- 21:12Speaker 1: to them, and they set up and in your face
- 21:15Speaker 1: and go yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right, I
- 21:17Speaker 1: understand it. Whoy I never looked at it like that
- 21:19Speaker 1: and then don't do a single thing to fix it.
- 21:23Speaker 1: That annoys me. Man, Wow, wow, yeah, okay, man Jesus Christ. Okay.
- 21:31Speaker 1: So Steve, you had um such good reaction when you
- 21:36Speaker 1: had the beard and everything and you had that phase
- 21:38Speaker 1: going on. Would you grow your beard back and were
- 21:41Speaker 1: it publicly again? Oh? Yeah, yeah, I definitely do that. Okay, yeah,
- 21:44Speaker 1: I might do it soon. All right, coming up, we'll
- 21:48Speaker 1: have more fun. The nephew is here to run that
- 21:51Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening, coming up at the
- 21:57Speaker 1: top of the hour and entertainment news the one thing
- 22:00Speaker 1: Martha Stewart won't do with snoop and fifty cents artbreak. Wow,
- 22:06Speaker 1: wait till you hear this. But right now the ne
- 22:08Speaker 1: few is in the building with run that prank back.
- 22:11Speaker 1: What you got, nef, y'all ain't married kids not run it? Hello, Hello,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Brian. Yeah, how are you doing Brian,
- 22:27Speaker 1: my name is Daniel. Wanted to give you a call today.
- 22:30Speaker 1: You got a minute? Yeah, okay, listen, Um, you're you're Brian, um, Brian, right,
- 22:37Speaker 1: you're married to uh to Althea. Yeah. Hello, hello, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:43Speaker 1: that's that's me. That's my wife's Yeah. Okay, got a
- 22:47Speaker 1: question for you. Hello. Have you guys been married? Going
- 22:50Speaker 1: on nine years now? We've been married? Now? Who is he?
- 22:53Speaker 1: My name is Daniel. Were you um, were you guys
- 22:57Speaker 1: married a Greater new missionary of the Church the Sea. Yeah, yeah, yep, yep,
- 23:03Speaker 1: that's the name of that church. Yeah. Great, nine year Yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 1: that's right. Why what's going on? What's asking me all
- 23:09Speaker 1: these questions? Fuck? Okay do you remember the minister that
- 23:13Speaker 1: officiated your actual wedding ceremony? Yeah? No, uh right, yeah, okay,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I got the right person. I wanted to make sure
- 23:22Speaker 1: I had the right person, Brian. So I'm I'm sorry
- 23:25Speaker 1: if it seemed a little weird to you. Here's here's
- 23:28Speaker 1: what's going on. We've just come up with a new
- 23:31Speaker 1: discovery a lot of information that Reverend none of his
- 23:36Speaker 1: credentials are true. Everything is false. He's not a minister
- 23:41Speaker 1: at all, he never was a minister, and every single
- 23:45Speaker 1: wedding ceremony that he officiated is basically null and void.
- 23:50Speaker 1: So and I hate to be the bearer of bad news,
- 23:53Speaker 1: but you and Alphea, even though you think you've been
- 23:57Speaker 1: married for nine years, you guys are not mad. Now. No, no, no, no, no,
- 24:03Speaker 1: you gotta have the wrong person. Because man, that then
- 24:05Speaker 1: we got we got married by nine years ago. And
- 24:12Speaker 1: what I'm telling you is he he never was ordained.
- 24:16Speaker 1: He's never been an ordained minister. He's not a minister
- 24:19Speaker 1: at all. So when he performed this ceremony, you're a
- 24:22Speaker 1: wedding ceremony. He had no right to be doing that.
- 24:25Speaker 1: You guys are not are not married. You know, you
- 24:28Speaker 1: guys have been living in sin for nine years. Hold on,
- 24:31Speaker 1: hold hold on that. Let me tell you something. I
- 24:33Speaker 1: ain't been living. A man and my wife we have
- 24:35Speaker 1: been married for nine years. And that man he's a preacher.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I'm telling he's a preacher. I'm preach land Sunday, Sir.
- 24:42Speaker 1: As of today, he has no right to be in
- 24:45Speaker 1: anybody's pulpit. He has no right to be officiating, whether
- 24:48Speaker 1: it's weddings or funerals, no matter what it is, christenings
- 24:52Speaker 1: for children. He's not allowed to do that, and we
- 24:54Speaker 1: have officially stopped him from doing anything serving under as
- 25:00Speaker 1: being a pastor or a minister. We have stopped at
- 25:03Speaker 1: But what I want you to know is that you
- 25:05Speaker 1: have been living in sin and you don't you get that.
- 25:09Speaker 1: We want to try and get you guys married as
- 25:11Speaker 1: soon as possible, so you're not living in sin. Oh no, doc,
- 25:14Speaker 1: I have been living in no sin. I have been
- 25:17Speaker 1: married for nine years. This womanship been taking care of
- 25:20Speaker 1: me and my kids for the past Wait. Wait, wait
- 25:23Speaker 1: a minute, Wait a minute. Guy. You guys have children. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:26Speaker 1: we have two, two kids, two beautiful kids. Okay, then
- 25:29Speaker 1: those kids are bastards, Stash. Let me tell you something.
- 25:33Speaker 1: My kids ain't no bastard. What about your kids? Your
- 25:35Speaker 1: kids in Bassetts? No, sir, my kids, my kids were
- 25:38Speaker 1: born in wedlock. Your kids have been born out of wedlocks.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I'm telling you. Batman did my service and he is
- 25:46Speaker 1: a preacher. He's a man after God's own heart himself.
- 25:50Speaker 1: He hasn't done everything that he could for me and
- 25:52Speaker 1: my family. He is a preacher, sir. I know it's
- 25:56Speaker 1: hard for you to to to swallow the truth. But
- 25:58Speaker 1: I want you to know and I need you to
- 26:00Speaker 1: be able to tell out feel that you guys are
- 26:02Speaker 1: not married and not as of right now. No, no, okay,
- 26:06Speaker 1: so hold of now. Back in the olden days, but
- 26:09Speaker 1: before all these all these colleges and stuff came came about.
- 26:13Speaker 1: You telling me that them men baking old days, that
- 26:15Speaker 1: they weren't no preachers, that they weren't meant men after
- 26:18Speaker 1: the cloth? Is that what you're saying to me? What
- 26:21Speaker 1: are you? What are you? What are you? What are
- 26:23Speaker 1: you getting at? Sir? What I'm trying to say is
- 26:25Speaker 1: back in the older days, baking the twenties and thirties,
- 26:27Speaker 1: they didn't have all these colleges and all these degrees
- 26:30Speaker 1: and stuff like these new preachers got these days, that
- 26:32Speaker 1: man now he was from back then, and God called
- 26:36Speaker 1: them and that's what they went on too. And all
- 26:38Speaker 1: them people that they married back then, they did the
- 26:40Speaker 1: same thing to day. You don't need no degreed to
- 26:43Speaker 1: say that that you're a preacher. You don't need no
- 26:44Speaker 1: lights to say you're a preacher. Man. My wife would
- 26:47Speaker 1: have been maried for nine years. My kids have been
- 26:49Speaker 1: born in wedlock. We were married, we were mad for
- 26:53Speaker 1: I've read my friends and family day was all there. Sure.
- 26:56Speaker 1: The bottom line is that that you have been living
- 26:59Speaker 1: in sin because you have not been married with your
- 27:01Speaker 1: wife for the last nine years. And your kids. I
- 27:05Speaker 1: hate to say it, your kids are bastards. Now I
- 27:07Speaker 1: own now. I'd have told you don't say nothing else
- 27:10Speaker 1: about my kids, and I ain't no custom. But don't
- 27:12Speaker 1: push me. My kids ain't no bastards. You understand me.
- 27:16Speaker 1: You don't getting there up, sir. I'm trying to give
- 27:18Speaker 1: you the truth and try to get you in here
- 27:19Speaker 1: and get you married so you will not be living
- 27:21Speaker 1: in sin any more than what you are. I'm living
- 27:24Speaker 1: in no sins. Look now, you don't make me whoop
- 27:28Speaker 1: your ass. You understand men, and my wife we have
- 27:31Speaker 1: been married for nine years. Don't shoo up here called
- 27:34Speaker 1: me talking about the way. Ain't mat that that man.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Ain't no pictures, you understand. I get out of my phone.
- 27:39Speaker 1: But you that's my life. Those are my kids. They
- 27:42Speaker 1: have been born in bad lives, you understand, sir. So
- 27:46Speaker 1: I just wanted to call and give you the information
- 27:49Speaker 1: so that you could probably stop living in sin. That's
- 27:51Speaker 1: all I wanted to do. I ain't living in no sin.
- 27:53Speaker 1: That's what I just told you. You ain't hearing me.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I ain't living in no sin. Maybe you're the one
- 27:56Speaker 1: that's living up of sin. Now. You ain't got nothing
- 27:59Speaker 1: else said to me? That man if nine years ago
- 28:02Speaker 1: they get your ass off my phone. So so I
- 28:06Speaker 1: have one more thing, one more thing I'd like to say.
- 28:08Speaker 1: You ain't gone nothing else to say to me. You
- 28:10Speaker 1: ain't get your ass off my dam phone. Now do
- 28:13Speaker 1: you understand me? I ain't got time for this for sir?
- 28:16Speaker 1: Can I say one more thing? What you gotta say
- 28:19Speaker 1: on me? Now? I just wanted to let you know
- 28:20Speaker 1: that this is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harping Morning Show.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Your wife. How FIA got me to prank phone call you?
- 28:30Speaker 1: Oh man? Oh lord it dot yeah, uh yeah. I
- 28:37Speaker 1: almost went in on you, dot you. I wouldn't let
- 28:39Speaker 1: me go that. Yeah, I'm gonna kid you say, put
- 28:42Speaker 1: you up to this? Athia got me to prank you? Man? Wow? Man?
- 28:47Speaker 1: Oh man, hey man? You all right with me? Brother?
- 28:49Speaker 1: I got to ask you something, man, what is the
- 28:51Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the lands,
- 28:55Speaker 1: The Steve Harper More on the show What y'alluth too much.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Just ask what y'all think you know where we need
- 29:08Speaker 1: a doctor aage licensing, Oh, fake pastors and stuff. Somebody
- 29:18Speaker 1: got to do it. Somebody got to do it, baby,

- 29:46Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 29:48Speaker 1: some entertainment news four year right after this, you're listening
- 29:54Speaker 1: show and entertainment news. Fifty cent is mad after one
- 30:00Speaker 1: his lawyers accidentally broke a one of a kind work
- 30:04Speaker 1: of art. Uh fifty cent cursed out one of his
- 30:07Speaker 1: quote fat blank lawyers, yeah, for knocking over what he
- 30:14Speaker 1: calls his favorite piece of art. It's an Egyptian themed
- 30:17Speaker 1: sculpture featured um if it had some ornate details on it,
- 30:22Speaker 1: like fifties likeness that was stylized as a sphinx. Uh Now,
- 30:27Speaker 1: according to fifty, the art was handmade in a federal penitentiary.
- 30:31Speaker 1: He says, how am I supposed to get another one
- 30:33Speaker 1: of these? He now picture from? He said? He posted, Yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 1: like a sculpture, he said. He posted they thought on
- 30:51Speaker 1: that this evening had it by Fried. He posted an
- 30:56Speaker 1: after picture of what the art looks like now it's
- 30:58Speaker 1: been glued back together. They're in cracks and all. So
- 31:01Speaker 1: he just posted it so his followers can see. Okay.
- 31:07Speaker 1: In other entertainment news, when you think of likely pairs,
- 31:10Speaker 1: Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg probably do not come to mind.
- 31:15Speaker 1: That is correct. In spite of all the cooking they
- 31:18Speaker 1: do together on their you know, the first two seasons
- 31:21Speaker 1: of their show, Snoop says there's one thing that Martha
- 31:25Speaker 1: won't do with him. What could that be? Snoop? He says,
- 31:29Speaker 1: she won't get high with me. No, Martha added, she agreed.
- 31:36Speaker 1: She added, I joke about it. Yeah, I joke about it,
- 31:39Speaker 1: but so far, no, no, no. While she wouldn't give
- 31:42Speaker 1: her reasons, Snoop figure she's just scared. But he says,
- 31:46Speaker 1: Martha gets him drunk every chance she gets. Yeah, Martha
- 31:54Speaker 1: and Snoop's pot luck dinner party. They've changed the name.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Season three is back. Check your local listings for that.
- 32:02Speaker 1: It's all that's always a fun show. That's two people
- 32:05Speaker 1: you would have never put together a million years. They
- 32:09Speaker 1: get along so well, they get along so well. Yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: it's fun. But she won't go there. They surely that
- 32:15Speaker 1: thing that uh fifty time about? What was it made
- 32:18Speaker 1: out of? Just like like toiletiste or something. Wow, that sculpture,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I don't know, it's a it's a sculpture. It's Egyptian theme.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Why would it be made out of puss? You didn't
- 32:28Speaker 1: hear say it? Crack? Yeah, well that's yeah. Want that
- 32:34Speaker 1: toilet paper? Get hard? Once you get hard, you already
- 32:37Speaker 1: know that a big think, this ain't a shake. Let's
- 32:42Speaker 1: just go. Where's they getting sculpture stuff? From? Independent? Where
- 32:47Speaker 1: they get sell phone fils? Some time out there behind what? Well,
- 32:57Speaker 1: then that's where the hard and toiletistue call from? What?
- 33:08Speaker 1: It is way too early for that car, It is
- 33:11Speaker 1: way too early for that Well did you see the
- 33:13Speaker 1: sculpture yet? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, if he was mad,
- 33:20Speaker 1: If you don't worry about that. Yeah, don't be all right?
- 33:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, power coming back home. That's right. They
- 33:31Speaker 1: don't look much like you know how so wow but he,
- 33:37Speaker 1: I mean he put it back together. It's not the same.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, because fat blank lawyer him out. Oh you're
- 33:50Speaker 1: getting paid. You're getting paid, all right, Steve, we gotta
- 33:55Speaker 1: move along in spite of your nephew. Listen, it's time
- 33:59Speaker 1: for headlines, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, thanks very
- 34:04Speaker 1: much everybody, and yes this is a trip with the
- 34:06Speaker 1: news and good morning. Oll In Washington yesterday, let's tell
- 34:09Speaker 1: you what happened there, the Republican dominated US Senate voted
- 34:12Speaker 1: mostly along party lines to change the rules and make
- 34:16Speaker 1: it easier and faster to confirm low level judicial and
- 34:20Speaker 1: agency nominees now send a majority lead to Mitch McConnell,
- 34:22Speaker 1: a Republican, of course, used a maneuver called the nuclear
- 34:25Speaker 1: option to cut the amount of debate required before a
- 34:28Speaker 1: final vote is taken on certain nominations from get this
- 34:32Speaker 1: thirty hours to only two. McConnell claims that the change
- 34:35Speaker 1: is going to prevent Democrats and other future minority parties,
- 34:38Speaker 1: as he puts it, from blocking a president's nominees. However,
- 34:41Speaker 1: Democrats worried that it's going to make it easier for
- 34:43Speaker 1: the GOP to remake the federal court system by packing
- 34:47Speaker 1: it with conservative judges from top to bottom. House Democrats
- 34:51Speaker 1: mean while flexing their political muscle, requesting President Trump's tax returns.
- 34:55Speaker 1: The head of the House Ways and Means Committee, Richard Neil,
- 34:57Speaker 1: says he's asking for the last six years the president's
- 35:00Speaker 1: personal returns, as well as returns from some of his businesses.
- 35:03Speaker 1: No surprise, the president says, I'm not inclined to comply
- 35:06Speaker 1: with that. Trump broke broke with recent tradition in twenty
- 35:09Speaker 1: sixteen when he flat out refused to release his tax returns.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Former Vice President Joe Biden is responding to the amounting
- 35:16Speaker 1: allegations of inappropriate conduct from several women. Now. One of
- 35:20Speaker 1: the women says that Biden's conduct felt sexual, but they
- 35:23Speaker 1: just say meant that made them feel uncomfortable, tweaking and
- 35:26Speaker 1: nose and stuff like that. Biden's answered by way of
- 35:29Speaker 1: a video on Twitter where he says his actions were
- 35:31Speaker 1: part of his personality, but he now knows he needs
- 35:33Speaker 1: to change. So it's not to be misunderstood. I've never
- 35:36Speaker 1: thought of politics. It's called and acceptic. I've always thought
- 35:40Speaker 1: it about connecting with people, shaking hands, hands on the shoulder,
- 35:44Speaker 1: a hug, encouragement, and now it's all about taking selfish together.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Social warms have begun to change, They've shifted, and the
- 35:53Speaker 1: boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset. And I
- 35:57Speaker 1: get it. That's right, he says, I get it. I
- 35:59Speaker 1: get it. President Trump says, look to him like some
- 36:02Speaker 1: Democrats who are trying to knock Biden out of contention
- 36:04Speaker 1: for their party's presidential nomination. A federal judge in Boston
- 36:07Speaker 1: allowing about a dozen parents facing charges of bribing their
- 36:10Speaker 1: kids ways into top colleges and universities to remain free
- 36:14Speaker 1: on bail. The group of alleged by their kids way
- 36:17Speaker 1: into college folks include actors, several doctors, some prominent business people,
- 36:21Speaker 1: and the judges lying them to remain free on bail. However,
- 36:24Speaker 1: the Boston judge did add a few more conditions. For instance,
- 36:27Speaker 1: there will be no international vacations, and they must all
- 36:31Speaker 1: get written permission from the court before traveling outside the
- 36:34Speaker 1: country for any kind of work. Each one of them
- 36:36Speaker 1: is charged with mail fraud, which carries a maximum sentence
- 36:39Speaker 1: of twenty years in prison. One person has already come
- 36:43Speaker 1: said that they're guilty in hopes of not getting hopes
- 36:46Speaker 1: of getting a real reduced sentence or maybe just probation. Finally,
- 36:49Speaker 1: today's National Carrot Day one chapter. Yeah, now back to
- 36:53Speaker 1: the steam, Harvey morning, shaw Bank, you're listening too. Nimphy
- 37:00Speaker 1: US's alleged murderer currently is being held in solitary confinement
- 37:04Speaker 1: because cops are afraid he'll be killed in jail. Police
- 37:08Speaker 1: refuse to let Eric Holder mingle with the general population
- 37:11Speaker 1: because they believe he is a target. As it is,
- 37:14Speaker 1: cops say they were in a race to arrest him
- 37:16Speaker 1: before someone on the street took him out. The judge
- 37:19Speaker 1: set Holders bail early Wednesday morning at over seven million
- 37:23Speaker 1: dollars seven million, forty thousand dollars to be exact. So well,
- 37:28Speaker 1: he won't be getting out. And you know what, man,
- 37:32Speaker 1: people like this, He doesn't have any idea what he's done. Yeah,
- 37:36Speaker 1: he doesn't have any idea what he's done. And I
- 37:42Speaker 1: hope one day he realizes the magnitude of what he did.
- 37:48Speaker 1: And I mean, and I don't know how a person
- 37:50Speaker 1: comes to that realization because I've never had to do that.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I mean, I've had to come to terms with my mistakes,
- 37:56Speaker 1: but I've never done this to another human life. But
- 37:58Speaker 1: I want him to understand somehow one day, the magnitude
- 38:03Speaker 1: of what he did. Yeah, the implications of it all,
- 38:08Speaker 1: the consequence and all of it, all the ramifications of
- 38:11Speaker 1: it all, and most importantly the loss of it all.
- 38:15Speaker 1: I want him to understand it and feel that. And
- 38:19Speaker 1: I don't know that he can and will, but I
- 38:21Speaker 1: want him to grow up enough to understand what he did. Because, man,
- 38:27Speaker 1: if you understood from a series of people that this
- 38:31Speaker 1: life you wiped off this earth man, because of what
- 38:36Speaker 1: is now gone from this earth and all the contributions
- 38:40Speaker 1: he was going to make and making, and you just
- 38:45Speaker 1: came along and you wipe that away. Because you are
- 38:48Speaker 1: who you are. And don't you know that if you
- 38:51Speaker 1: were different, if you were different Eric what's his name holder? Now?
- 38:59Speaker 1: And ledge he did it? See that's another thing about
- 39:02Speaker 1: this country I get sick of. We don't need no trial. Look,
- 39:06Speaker 1: man did it? Now? We spending money in all this head.
- 39:09Speaker 1: He did it. We know he did it. You got
- 39:11Speaker 1: to put it. I'm talking that overseas when they once
- 39:14Speaker 1: they know it's you and you don't put it you
- 39:16Speaker 1: your American lawyer can't come over here and get you true.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Look you in prison, dog and then they send you
- 39:23Speaker 1: a piece of paper, tell you how long you're gonna
- 39:25Speaker 1: be in that. We had to try you ain't had
- 39:27Speaker 1: to come. Ain't some places. Ain't no ain't no prison.
- 39:32Speaker 1: They've been to handle it right there in the court.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Y'all that dogging. But what he did. I want him
- 39:39Speaker 1: to grow to understand what he did. And man, if
- 39:47Speaker 1: young people, if young people could see this and go, wow,
- 39:52Speaker 1: that was so uncool to do, I'll never do that. Yeah, absolutely, Steve, Wow, heartbreaking.
- 40:02Speaker 1: It really is. All right, guys. Coming up at thirty
- 40:06Speaker 1: four after the hour, Taraji p Henson opens up about
- 40:10Speaker 1: mental illness. We'll be right back after this. You're listening.
- 40:17Speaker 1: According to Variety magazine, Taraji p Henson is working to
- 40:21Speaker 1: take away the stigma of mental illness in the black community.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Not only has she started a foundation to address the issue,
- 40:29Speaker 1: she's also opening up about her own struggles with depression
- 40:32Speaker 1: and anxiety. Taraji says that the lack of privacy is
- 40:37Speaker 1: a contributing factor. She says, it wears on me. I
- 40:40Speaker 1: have to be conscious about everything, everything, every move I make,
- 40:45Speaker 1: everything that comes out of my mouth, I have to
- 40:48Speaker 1: go over it. That's not living, that's just being, She says.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Living is being in the moment and saying whatever the
- 40:56Speaker 1: freak you want to say, and that's what it is.
- 40:59Speaker 1: But I can't do that to cope, TAGI says. She
- 41:02Speaker 1: has a therapist. That's the only way she can get
- 41:05Speaker 1: through it. She says, if I'm going to change for
- 41:08Speaker 1: the better, I need honesty. And sometimes your friends and
- 41:11Speaker 1: family don't have it in them to be brutally honest. Wow,
- 41:16Speaker 1: that is deep right there. That is deep. That is deep.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I guess that's tough for her. Yeah, that makes a
- 41:24Speaker 1: lot of sense. I could see how people can tire
- 41:26Speaker 1: of this. It is draining. It is very draining. Man. Yeah.
- 41:31Speaker 1: And as a matter of fact, I was talking to
- 41:33Speaker 1: the US to day. Now. I don't think I have
- 41:35Speaker 1: a mental problem. I really don't. But I've been diagnosed
- 41:41Speaker 1: at the well, you know, I've had some people say
- 41:44Speaker 1: someone's wrong, but they weren't medical people, just speak people,
- 41:49Speaker 1: and so like, uh, last night, before I got off work,
- 41:53Speaker 1: I was talking to the Family Feud audience and I
- 41:55Speaker 1: was telling them today was a weird day for me,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and later said, how so, I said, I woke up,
- 42:01Speaker 1: I got a really really troubling phone call, and you
- 42:05Speaker 1: know how to order go oh, I say, but I
- 42:08Speaker 1: had to come to work anyway. And my job is
- 42:12Speaker 1: to entertain people and put a smile on people's face.
- 42:17Speaker 1: That's my job. And regardless as to how I was feeling,
- 42:21Speaker 1: what's happening, don't nobody know that. So people who stood
- 42:25Speaker 1: in line, man, I have to deliver that to them
- 42:28Speaker 1: a good time. And yesterday was a little a little
- 42:32Speaker 1: bit tough, but it's a lot of those days like that.
- 42:36Speaker 1: It's a lot of those days and you got to
- 42:38Speaker 1: stand and deliver. So I can understand where Taragi is
- 42:42Speaker 1: coming from, because man, there are days man when this
- 42:45Speaker 1: being on and under the spotlight, it can be daunting. Man.
- 42:50Speaker 1: And I do I am grateful to God that I
- 42:53Speaker 1: cope with it as the way I do, and everybody
- 42:56Speaker 1: don't have to say coping skill. And I just so
- 43:00Speaker 1: I really wish the best for Taraga because I didn't
- 43:03Speaker 1: know that. Let me ask you, how do you cope
- 43:05Speaker 1: with it? Because you're you're very famous, I mean, you know,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I just uh, like my wife helped me, you know,
- 43:12Speaker 1: like on days when I cannot deal with it. She says, Steve,
- 43:17Speaker 1: go home. Let's just go home. We ain't going out
- 43:19Speaker 1: to dinner, like we should go out to dinner after shows.
- 43:22Speaker 1: And I'd be quipped from the day's work. So I'm
- 43:25Speaker 1: sitting at the table and it's just me and my
- 43:28Speaker 1: wife and she's holding my hand and I'm looking at
- 43:30Speaker 1: across the table and we just having dinner. And then
- 43:33Speaker 1: he comes a fan and they say something, and I've
- 43:36Speaker 1: been like, okay, excuse me, I'm just ain't. Man, let
- 43:42Speaker 1: me get a picture with you, I said, not now, bro,
- 43:45Speaker 1: meet me with my wife. Damn man, So I can't
- 43:47Speaker 1: get a picture, I said, dog, I sell me with
- 43:49Speaker 1: my wife. Steve, Steve, stop, he doesn't know that you're tired, right,
- 43:55Speaker 1: he doesn't. He doesn't know. So now you got to
- 43:58Speaker 1: cool out, I said, my baby, he was. I told
- 44:00Speaker 1: him I was having dinner. I know, Steve, if listen
- 44:03Speaker 1: to me, if today ain't your then you don't feel
- 44:06Speaker 1: like this, that you stay home. Let's go home, home,
- 44:09Speaker 1: but don't sit out here because these are your fans
- 44:12Speaker 1: and they don't know. And I had to learn that. Yeah,
- 44:15Speaker 1: and then the rest of it is, man, I have
- 44:18Speaker 1: a rule all women, all elderly people, and all children.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I just go and accommodate them. Dudes. Is my out now,
- 44:27Speaker 1: my man, I don't feel like a day. Okay, right home, Bro,
- 44:30Speaker 1: glad to meet Kyle, shake your head. Yeah, and brothers
- 44:33Speaker 1: like that. No women, you can't turn women down. They
- 44:36Speaker 1: might go right. I really hadn't. They went in on me,
- 44:43Speaker 1: all right, black, yeah, yeah, all right. I'm next. It
- 44:50Speaker 1: is a nephew with the prank phone call for today

- 54:41Speaker 1: is this show Mary letter. Thank you nephew all right.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Subject a piece of man or no man at all.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I am a divorced fifty nine year
- 54:54Speaker 1: old woman and I started dating a sixty seven year
- 54:57Speaker 1: old sexy gentleman in December. Our relationship is great. We
- 55:02Speaker 1: had lots of fun together and he keeps me smiling.
- 55:05Speaker 1: I followed Uncle Steve's rules for dating and almost made
- 55:09Speaker 1: it to ninety days. But on that eighty seventh day
- 55:13Speaker 1: we decided it was time to get busy. He told
- 55:16Speaker 1: me he couldn't take it any longer and he had
- 55:19Speaker 1: to have me. I was more than ready, willing and
- 55:22Speaker 1: able for our big night together. So there I was
- 55:26Speaker 1: lying across the beds smelling good, lying across his bed,
- 55:29Speaker 1: smelling good in a soft pink neglige when he walked in.
- 55:34Speaker 1: He came in and sat at the foot of the
- 55:36Speaker 1: bed and started getting undressed. Stephen Shirley, you are not
- 55:41Speaker 1: going to believe this. This man took off his pants
- 55:47Speaker 1: and then he took off one of his legs. I
- 55:55Speaker 1: inched over toward the middle of the bed, as if
- 55:58Speaker 1: I was in the room with a monster. Then he
- 56:01Speaker 1: slid up to the top of the bed by me,
- 56:05Speaker 1: and he took his top row of teeth out and
- 56:08Speaker 1: slid them in the top drawer of the nightstand. He
- 56:14Speaker 1: leaned over to kiss me, and I had to stop
- 56:17Speaker 1: him and be totally honest with him. I told him
- 56:21Speaker 1: that is no big deal that he wears dnchers, but
- 56:24Speaker 1: he should have told me he had a fake leg.
- 56:27Speaker 1: You don't just spring that on a woman. He told
- 56:31Speaker 1: me that he understood how I felt, and he put
- 56:34Speaker 1: his leg back on. I got dressed, and he walked
- 56:37Speaker 1: me out to my car. Since that night, I have
- 56:40Speaker 1: been trying to act normal, like everything is okay, but
- 56:43Speaker 1: I am still in shock. He is the sweetest man
- 56:47Speaker 1: I've ever dated, and I'm trying to keep an open mind,
- 56:51Speaker 1: but I can't imagine having sex with him at all. Now.
- 56:54Speaker 1: So what do you think? Is it better to have
- 56:56Speaker 1: a piece of a man instead of no man at all?
- 56:59Speaker 1: I need your ice. Wow. I think this is a
- 57:02Speaker 1: first of this kind of letter, and you're right, this
- 57:06Speaker 1: is quite shocking. Quite shocking. But I blame him for
- 57:11Speaker 1: not telling you. I just do. He had a whole
- 57:13Speaker 1: eighty seven days, eighty seven days to tell you, and
- 57:17Speaker 1: at sixty seven, he should know that he can't keep
- 57:20Speaker 1: something like that a secret. Come on, a leg and
- 57:22Speaker 1: a whole set of teeth. You said on the second
- 57:26Speaker 1: line that he's a sexy sixty seven year old gentleman
- 57:29Speaker 1: or a sixty seven year old sexy gentleman. That's not sexy.
- 57:33Speaker 1: That is not sexy, and you're getting ready to have sex.
- 57:36Speaker 1: And I mean, did he forget what went through his
- 57:40Speaker 1: mind to do to take off his leg and to
- 57:42Speaker 1: take out his teeth? Come on, man, I mean, I
- 57:47Speaker 1: just think you're dead wrong for this. He was. You
- 57:50Speaker 1: needed to be prepared, You needed to be warned about this,
- 57:53Speaker 1: and you guys had almost three months to get to
- 57:56Speaker 1: know each other better and to talk about this. I mean,
- 57:59Speaker 1: he knows he's dead wrong for this. So you asked
- 58:02Speaker 1: the question, is it better to have a piece of
- 58:03Speaker 1: a man instead of no man at all? I tell you,
- 58:06Speaker 1: don't settle if this is not what you want. You say,
- 58:08Speaker 1: he's the sweetest man of all, but you can't imagine
- 58:10Speaker 1: having sex with him? At all now, So I mean,
- 58:13Speaker 1: what's the relationship without, you know, a good, healthy sex life.
- 58:16Speaker 1: So if you can't imagine that ever with him because
- 58:19Speaker 1: of that, then I guess you know the answer to
- 58:24Speaker 1: your question is no, Steve. Well, now I have a
- 58:30Speaker 1: different approach. Thank you, Dear Stephen Sherlan. I'm divorced fifty
- 58:36Speaker 1: nine year old woman. I'm dating a sixty seven year
- 58:39Speaker 1: old real sexy man. December. Relationship was great, keep you smiling,
- 58:47Speaker 1: try to follow ninety day rule. But on day eighty
- 58:50Speaker 1: seven we decided he was trying. That's only three days.
- 58:53Speaker 1: I ain't mad. He told me he couldn't take it
- 58:56Speaker 1: any longer. I understand he had to have me. I
- 59:01Speaker 1: was molding ready. The big knight came. You laying there
- 59:06Speaker 1: across the bed, smelling good, pink linger name Linger Neglige.
- 59:14Speaker 1: He walked in, set on the foot of the bed,
- 59:17Speaker 1: started getting undressed. You still laying now, smelling good. Guy.
- 59:24Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Then y'all try to say,
- 59:28Speaker 1: Stephen Sully, you ain't gonna leave this. This man took
- 59:32Speaker 1: off his pass and then he took off one of
- 59:35Speaker 1: his lead's right I inched over in the middle of
- 59:38Speaker 1: the bed if I was in the room with him out.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Then he slid up on the top bed by me
- 59:42Speaker 1: and took his top, rowing teethout, slid him in the
- 59:45Speaker 1: top drawing the knightstand. He loaned over to kiss me,
- 59:48Speaker 1: and I had to stop him and be told the honest.
- 59:50Speaker 1: I told him, was no big deal that hewere dishes,
- 59:52Speaker 1: But should have told me about the fake land. Let's
- 59:55Speaker 1: stop right here, let's stop this damn let on this
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: stop here, no, stop this damn letter. What do you
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: mean that he should have told you he had a
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: fake leg? What do you mean? What do you what
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: does she mean? Who got one? And you don't know it?
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: You ain't never seen the wind blow when he had
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: his pants on at a point evidently not. You ain't
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: never seen the wind blow when he got his pants on.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: I wonder why wanted the lead were real skinny? You
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: ain't see that. You didn't see what his shoe was
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: sitting there? What is that in his shoe? No, no, no, no,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: let's stop all this, sen What was that in his
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: shoe when he crossed his leg? You ain't know that?
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: It was just something just you ain't see that. Why
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: socks fit different on this leg than the other leg.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: He didn't tell you he had a fake leg. Who
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: you know got one and you don't know it. This
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: ain't his fault. He assumed you saw it. No, he
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: a suit I'm telling you, man. He probably said, I
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: know she didn't seen me the way I walked. I know,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: I know he thought that. Now they're sitting on the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: edge of the bed. He getting neggd. Now he got
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: taking leg off. They ain't bother you. He put that
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: whole row damn teeth in the drawer. That ain't bothering you.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: That's a bad us ass. Let her right here. Everything.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: You take your damn teeth out your head and put
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: it in the drawer and free fitting the kiss. That's
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: the first thing we did. Damn the leg. Hang on,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: hang on, hold that thought. We'll be back at twenty
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: three after the hour with part two of Steve's response
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to A piece of a man or no man at all?
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening, all right, Steve, Come on,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: let's recap this strawberry letter A piece of man or
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: no man at all. Well, I'm getting to the piece
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: of man and no man at all later on. But
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I got news to you Sheley, So you can't blame
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: this dude for this. Here she man because she'd been
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: dating this man and wanted to follow ninety day rude.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Well they couldn't. They got to eighty seven. He said
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: he had to have her. She get on the negliga.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: She laying across the bed, She's smelling good. He come in.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: He's sitting on the foot of bed. He started undressing.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: He take his pants off. Didn't he take a leg? All?
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: He should have told her? How to hell? She ain't, No, Sherley,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: this is not her fault. She's as much to blame
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: as he is. He should have got a fake leg whatever.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Nobody ahead to tell you that? When has somebody had
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: to tell you they got one? I don't get that.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I ain't. Ain't nobody walking up to me, and I
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: ain't knew it right off? How, Shirley, you ain't gonna
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: blame this man. The man just living his life told her,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: what are the ninety days? What are the ninety days
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: for to get to know each other? To talk about things?
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: She didn't look at it. You know, he should have
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: told her, you know it? What is that in his shoes?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I wears? And no, no, no, what is that in
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: his shoe? Why would he walk that? Shoot, don't be
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: somebody answered why that shoe look brand new? And said
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: it Why you can't tell me, Shirley, that this woman
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: shouldn't have noticed it. You can't tell me he shouldn't
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: have told her. Okay, Shirley, I just said that it
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: ain't all his fault. Didn't notice him. Then this man
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: scoops up in the bed and pulls a whole road
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: and shut him in a drawer. Now, she says in
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: the letter, it's no big deal that he wear dinches,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: But he should have told me he had to fake that.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: What what I mean? She got him too, But you
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: don't just spring that on the woman. Spring. That's a
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: bad choice. Spring. I promise you he ain't spring this.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: He told me, and you told him just spring now.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: He told me that he understood how I felt, and
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: he put his leg back on. I got dressed, and
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: he walked me out to the car. Hold up, now
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: you're tripping about the leg. Anyway, Since that night, I've
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: been trying to act normal, like everything's okay, but I'm
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: still in shot. He is the sweetest man I've ever dated,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: and I'm trying to keep old man. But I can't
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: imagine having sectoring him at all. Now, So what do
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: you think is it better to have a piece of
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: a man instead of no man at all? First of all,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I want you to stop calling this man a piece
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: of a man. That's the first thing I want you
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to do, because him having a leg has nothing to
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: do with him being a man. You know, yeah, not
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: having a leg ain't got nothing to do with him
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: do with a man. Do you know how many men
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: don't have arms or leg or something, but they every
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: bitter man as anybody else. So that I would really
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: like for you to stop calling him a piece of
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: a man, because you don't know how he lost that leg.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: At a lot of Tommy got a hole of foundation.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Wounded warriors, men and women who go over here and sacrifice,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: they come back. We can't call these people pieces or nothing. Yeah,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: that's a balance. So now, first of all, stop calling
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: him a piece of a man, because this is all man.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: Everything else working fine. I'll be more shocked by the
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: damned teeth. What you ain't take the teeth off and
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: put them in no draw and then I put my
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: tongue in your mouth, and all of sitting I'm trying
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: to Now, I'm all up in the roof of your
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: mouth and everything the same thing, tongue and gum. I'm
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: feeling ridges and stuff. I gotta taste polydin all on
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: my tongue and everything. Ye got polydin on your gun?
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Just slid them out without brushing your teeth. Go ahead,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: brush your damn teeth, kissing you and I'm tasting polydin. Yeah,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: damn gum glue. He might be cold without that leg.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Ain't I'm telling you that boy, come to work because
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: when you ain't got that other leg, I have both
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: of them, but I've had like a child horse in
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: one of them, and so I had to let it later,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: like it wasn't working. And but that put no pressure
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: on one side. And you come in from different angles, girl,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: you might be missing some all right, Hello, let's let's
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: let's let's flip this. What if she only had one leg?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: You can't do this exactly? Well, see, because we got
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: different I have requests. Here are certain things I'm gonna say.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: It's hard to be ain't it was hard to be
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: a woman. Do that. You ain't never got no, you
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: ain't never got no dress on it? You meaning you
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: would know. This is what you're saying and me, and
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: why why have you shaved the heel down on that?
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: She is? You know what you go fo me. I
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: already know something going on. I still love you. Oh yeah,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: you're still fine, but I but I see that though.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: We gotta ask a couple of questions for her. And
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: if she didn't happen. Now, why you got one of
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: your shoes as a Christian Luberton and the other one
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: is a rockport? I need I need to know what's
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: happened hit that rock port? Hold it together, baby, I'm
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: trying to figure out. I was trying to figure out
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: why you got stocking on one leg and ain't one
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: on the other. Okay, I need to know what's I
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: need you to tell me what's happened? Why is this
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: shoe open to him? And this one right here's a
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: bowling you. I need somebody talking. I need somebody out
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: right behind you keeping a car that you have on
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: the high heels slide on this foot, but explained the
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: house sho My first, this is ridiculous. Let's go, We're out.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: You got your food, you got your Nike on wall
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: foot by that time, let's see you got ski Booto.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I need no one, She said she can't imagine having
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: sex with him at all. Now, well, I just want
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: to know why when you jumped up last week you
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: had to hear him sit back down? What look, we

- 1:10:01Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back right after this. You're listening
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: to show, all right? Coming up at the top of
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: the hour, it's Carla's Reality Update. But before we get
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: to that, the fellows are here, the three comedians in
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: the building to do Part three of the Strawberry Letter.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: The subject was a piece of a man or no
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: man at all. A woman who's fifty nine wrote in
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: and started dating a sixty seven year old sexy gentleman
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: in December She tried to do like Steve's book said,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: and wait the entire ninety months ninety days, but she
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: got to eighty seven days, and she said it was on.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Neither of them could wait any longer. So she got
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: all sexy with it and was lying across the bed
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: and her pink lingerie and everything, and she said he
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: came in, sat on the bed, proceeded to get undressed,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: took his pants off, took his leg off, and then
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: took his top row of teeth off and put them
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: in the nightstand and the top drawer. He didn't tell
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: her anything. She was devastated. He ended up walking her
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to her card. She said she didn't know if she
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: could ever have sex with him again, so what should
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: she do? Deaf Jam right here, we were here today,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: special opportunity. That's right, that's right, myself and my beloved deacon,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: introduced herself. Deacon deaf Jam right here on your side,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: pass it? And who am I you are? Reverend mo
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: town hit makele of the of the of the Wonders kind.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: We are discussing the results of the reading from the
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Book of Strawberry Down chapter twenty three. What verse was that? Two? One?
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: All right? All of them in one, all the one.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: It started to begin. All ain't in the Book of Strawberry,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Chapter one, where it says he proceeded to take off
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: his slacks and then took his leg off. Slap, ain't
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the fast expound. That was a maze. Sixty seven years old.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Come on now, sex, sad fi swab come out and
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: we waited, just like the book said, almost ninety days
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: eight is seventy big exactly we ain't you know in
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: the bed. Next thing I know, I cross the bed,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: I got baby all on my booty, shine and in
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: the nightlight, coming out the bathfoot come on. He sat
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: on the edge of the bed, took kids shut off. Yeah,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: muscular back. But I found out why dude took the
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: pants off, put them pants off. I was sitting there waiting,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: anticipating of the loving that was coming my way. And
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: then I noticed out the corner of my eye some
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: something card that night light I lar saw shining still rod.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Then I noticed that the shoe was still attached to
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: the rod. Here too the leg on. He to an
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: old leg on, then try to slide him next to
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: me in the bed. I tried to run. I was
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: scared as him. I ain't never been with a man
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: that had one leg before. But now let me tell
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: you why we hit to day. Deacon, tell him why
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: we hit to day. The subject is that seththing is.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I thought he was gonna help me out, but I
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: gave up that seving And after I left it in
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: my notes, the subject in one legging Loving didn't take
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: the chance. My sister, you wrote and talk about he
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: was a piece of a man. I told the congregation,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: ain't no such thing as a piece of a man
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: just because he's had an injury on some kind. They
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: mo men, then most and I'll tell you what you
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: missed out one leg loving. There's some good loving. If
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: you ain't ever had it, you ever tried. Sometimes you
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: don't know what was headed your way. I'll tell you
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: one thing about one leging loving talk to the chances
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: of getting the child at horse is reduced. You better
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: understand where I'm coming from. And you ain't got to
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: wear about the fitted sheet coming up on both ends.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: He ain't got but one leg. He can't tell one card,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: come on dash so many things. Then when he gets
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: to driving the message home, you ain't gotta wear about
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: getting knocks all over the top of your head. You
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: ain't gonna get knocks but on one side because it
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: ain't got a one leg. He can't push out from
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: one side. Come on, this is where you get to
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: experienced things you ain't ever experienced before. He can act
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: like one leg is ain't get off the edge. You
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: can get something happening to you. He can put it.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: If he got his left leg missing, he can put
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: his left hip hop against the head board and come
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: off from that. Ain't gole because ain't letting over that
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: stopping him. Here's another one. Come if you do it
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: the other style, you know what they call it rue.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: If you get in that other style rupe, you ain't
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: got to worry about having to be on both of
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: your knees. All you need to do it ain't one
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: leg off the edge of the bed. You don't know
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: what you're missing with you one leg and love it.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Mann be bringing in the ways you ain't never had
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: it before. Now passed it? Uh huh? Can't he do
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: the hokikiyu? What is that? So? What is that you
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: put your one leg in? You put one leg out?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: She can't get all? Well, what it is you put
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: the one leg you gotta leave the another one out
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: the other leg is that to foot in the bay.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: We gotta go. We'll have more on the Steve Harvey
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Morning Show and Color Reality Update coming up right after this.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Morning Show. Ladies and gentlemen. It is
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: that time. She is here. Carlin Farrell with what reality update?
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: All right, thank you very much, nephew. Real Housewives of
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Atlanta the season finale. Oh oh yeah. So Porsche and
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: her fiance, her baby daddy, Dennis, they threw a baby
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: gender revealed party and she was upset. Porsche was a
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: little upset because the party didn't go as planned. She
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: wanted a carnival like theme party and pretty much the
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: party planners they kind of dropped a all at the beginning.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: They were late setting things up. Porsche was emotional. You know,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: when you pregnant, you cried to drop her head? I
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: know I did, surely did you cry a lot? Yeah,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: girl at a whole you to thing. I cried whom
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: pregnancy nine mus But anyway, the party planners they got
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: things going and finally came together and her friends and
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: family they were there to support her in Dennis and
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: everything was fine. The gender that the baby gender reveal
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: went off and Porsche, you know, the confetti was pink
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: and even though Porsche had little pieces of blue in
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: her confetti, so she was confused for a second. But anyway,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: it was a girl. Obviously, Porsche has already had her
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: baby in you know, real life, but on the show
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: she was still expecting. On the show, yeah she was
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: still expecting. But you know she had the baby last week.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: Oh girl, Yeah she did pull every Everything is good
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: And as a matter of fact, Steve Porsche and her
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: fiance Dennists her baby daddy Digg are getting a baby
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: spin off special called Porsche's Having a Baby and it's
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: going to premiere on Bravo at the end of this moment,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: mean you know, like, yeah, she's gonna still be on
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Atlanta. They just gave her a show.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: You know how they usually do, like the wedding specials
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: with some of the different castmates. Well, for Porsche, she
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: got a show about her pregnancy and the journey and
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: having the baby, so you get to see more of
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: just her and her fiance and the baby and all
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: that stuff. Huh, give me one to show on taking
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: while taking feel me taking all my supplements throughout the
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: dig Steve taking bye to Mark Yeah the day yeah,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: following watching take all these damn herbs I'm taking. Okay,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: well you are the TV guys, so yeah, right, dud,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: because yes, yes, he has that touch. All right. Moving on,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Cynthia invited the girls to her launch party. She is
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: a new cocktail drink, Peach Bellini drink. She did a
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: partnership with Seagrams and she had a launch party and
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: all the girls were there, invited to support Cynthia, and
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: a blast from the past was there, Miss Kenya Moore.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Well chat Nini was living that Kenya was there. She
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: called her a monster. The issue is that Ninie felt
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: like Cynthia should have told her that she was going
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: to invite Kenya to the party since Kenya and Nini
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: didn't get along. Now, Cynthia claims she really didn't know
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: that Kenya was actually coming to the party. But you know,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: Ninnie's point is if me and you were cool and
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: you're in fighting someone that I'm not cool with, you know,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: because Ninie says her, and Cynthia like, sister, you give
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: your girl the head's up to say, hey, your girl
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: might come through. So That's what Ninie's point was. And
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Nini also feels that Cynthia acts different when Kenya's around
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: versus when they're together. Oh yeah. So anyway, it was
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: this a little drama. Kenya was still there at the
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: party and Cynthia was on the mic and thanking everyone
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: for coming out and supporting her. Then Kenya got on
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: the mic and congratulate it Cynthia, and Nini was a
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: little salt sh I think she was a little jealous
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: about that. And then Cynthia wanted to thank Greg because
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Greg felt good enough to come out Cynthia. Oh yeah,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: so Cynthia want yeah, yeah, Junior. So Cynthia wanted to
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: recognize Greg for coming out and supporting and she called
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: him up to the mic, and Nini told Gregg not
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: to go up there. No, she did not, Yeah, she
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: told Greg don't go up there. So Greg didn't go
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: up there. So it was kind of Cynthia was kind
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: of left hanging after the launch party, u Nini decided
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: to talk to Cynthia and kind of tell her how
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: she felt, and she bought the new friend Tanya along,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: and then Cynthia bar candy. Now during the party, Mike
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: was there Steve, you're familiar with Cynthia's boyfriend, Mike Hill.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: You're the one to introduced them and hooked them up
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: and made this love connection. She whispered to him that
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: she was supposed to act like she didn't know that
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: Kenya was coming. So there's some shade. That's what went
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: on with. Cynthia whispered to Mike, act like I don't
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: know that Kenya was coming. That's what she whispered to him.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: So Pete, so Nini, you see what I'm saying. You
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: see why Ninie felt like, what what's the shade going on?
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Ninie doesn't know Cynthia did that. Cynthia calls Candy when
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: they were all supposed to hook up and say, I
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: just want to make sure we're on the sand Paige
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: as to why Kenya came. So then Candy says, well,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I'm miked up. I'm miked up meaning her MICA's a
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: meaning like we're taking Yeah, n come hear her. No,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Nini didn't hear any of this. This is what the
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: viewers saw, but it kind of yeah, it kind of
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: validates Nini point, like what's going on doing? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: what are you doing? So that was the season finale,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: so of course she got away for the reunion show.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: So now after this particular episode air, the the blogs
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: were talking. People were out there talking. So Kendy and
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Cynthia basically said that this is why they did it
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: the way they did that. Kenya wanted to be paid
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: to come to the party, because Kenya is not on
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: this show anymore. So she said she wasn't gonna come
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: to the party unless she was gonna get paid. Candy
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: talked Kenya into coming to the party. So in a way,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Cynthia really didn't know that she was gonna come to
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: the party. But Nini, you know, Nini A's probably trying
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: to hear all that. So here me up. That's long
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: story short, but hit me up and lipspart Carla and
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: tell me you're on team Nini or team Cynthia. It
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: was good hunt, Oh man, I love her. She's going
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: I like, I like. I love Cynthia too, you know,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: she's so beautiful. Yeah, and Greg is doing good and
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: you know, beautiful news. Yes, isn't that great news I've
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: been praying for? Yeah? Yeah, wow, changed his mind, Steve.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: He decided to get chemo treatment, and Nini was on
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Timz the other day saying Greg is kicking cancers, but
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: so Greg is looking good good good? Yeah, okank God
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: huh yes, yep. So go to lipspart Carla again. You know,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: we'll talk about all of this socially and make sure
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: you go to w d A s FM. I will
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: be in Philadelphia this Saturday. I'm in Up Excellence Luncheon.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I'll be there. So we'll talk about all that on
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: the Graham at LIPSPI Carlin. We'll be back at twenty
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: after you're listening to This Day Morning Show. Laury Laughlin
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: and Felicity Huffman appeared in federal courtroom yesterday in Boston.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: The actresses are the most famous parents charged in that
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: massive college admissions cheating scandal. Now this is according to
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the USA Today. The pair said little they did not
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: enter please and were released on bail. Laurie, her husband
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Massimo Giannelli, and Felicity Huffman were charged with conspiracy to
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: commit mail fraud and honest services fraud. Judge Mpage Kelly
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: reported reportedly said the maximum sentence would be Wow, this
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: is a long time. Twenty years in prison for this.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: That's the maximum sentence, twenty years in prison, three years
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: probation and a two hundred and fifty thousand dollars fine,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: and jail time is a yes, jail time is a
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: real possibility, a very real possibility now. TMZ says if
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: they make even if they make plea deals, they'll still
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: they could still end up behind bars. Source says, you
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: can't have people being treated differently because they have money.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: He said, that's how we got to this place. Are
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: they kidding me that? Hey, I'm just that's exactly how
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: they treat people. I have news for you. They treat
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: people differently who have money, and they treat people differently
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: who have different color skin. Oh yeah, that's the game.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: We can stop this all of a sudden. You can't
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: treat people away because of how they are. That should
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: have been the rule a long time ago. It's never
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: been the rule, but now they want to. Everybody want
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: to apply it every every everybody wants it to be
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: when when they think they on the side of righteousness.
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: But I'm telling you, man, you know what I think
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: is gonna happen here? What a man? They're not gonna
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: send him to white women to jail. You gotta be
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: kidding me, don't think so. Maximum sentence um twenty years,
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: three years, probation two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. I'm
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: gonna tell you right now, I would be shocked. Yeah,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: I got to find money. If they go to jail,
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: I would be shocked. Now, what they did was supposed
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: to land you in jail. Yeah. And if anybody else
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: did it and your ass is gone, yeah, but I
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: would be shocked. Man, I just I don't put this
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: past the judicial system. Listen to me, man, this is
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: a different world we live in. You know, the attention
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: that's being paid to the Jesse Smellet case, the uproar
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: is that they dropped the charges. Right if he did
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: do anything. What you mad about is Jesse Smellet may
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: have lied and was allowed to get away with lying.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: That's really all you could be mad about. Now they
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: say that they think he should pay back to money
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: they took us ten thousand dollars bill and they say
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: should pay back to one hundred and thirty thousand in
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: fees for all of the police working all like this
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: over time. Man. But man, you don't think that that
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: same uprule that they had they should have been had
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: that up about a million other cases outside of Jesse Smoller. Absolutely,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: but they don't. I'll be surprised if these women go
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: to jail. Did they deserve to go? Oh yeah, when
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: you scammed the game like that and they send any
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: money over wire across state lines. Federal, Yes, man, federal.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: This is serious. It's very serious. A maximum of twenty
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: years in prison, that's I should want to see their
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: face because they had to look straight crazy. Three years
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: probation two. Surely you're going as somebody to say maximum
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: sent to twenty the luk on Yo Dale says, oh, yeah,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: we'd be looking like Mit Romney's wife when they lost
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: the election, when they came out and had to concede
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: to President Obama's second term. Yeah like that? All right, right, crazy, yeah,
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: all right. We'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show and Entertainment News. Fifty cent is mad
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: after one of his lawyers accidentally broke a one of
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: a kind work of art. Fifty Cent cursed out one
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: of his quote fat blank lawyers yet for knocking over
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: what he calls his favorite piece of art. It's an
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Egyptian themed sculpture featured um it had some ornate details
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: on it, like fifties likeness that was stylized as a sphinx. Now,
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: according to fifty the art was handmade in a federal penitentiary.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: He says, how am I supposed to get another one
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: of these? Picture? He said? He posted, Yeah, like a sculpture,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: he said. He posted by stought on that this Evening
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: had it by fried Hey posted an after picture of
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: what the art looks like now it's been glued back
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: together and cracks and all. So he just posted it
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: so his followers can see. Okay uh and other entertainment news.
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: When you think of likely pairs, Martha Stewart and Snoop
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: Dog probably do not come to mind. That is correct.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: In spite of all the cooking they do together on
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: their the you know, the first two seasons of their show,
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Snoop says there's one thing that Martha won't do with him.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: What could that be? Snoop He says, she won't get
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: high with me, and Martha added she agreed. She added,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: I joke about it. Yeah, I joke about it, but
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: so far, no, no, no, While she wouldn't give her
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: reasons Snoop figure. She's just scared, but he says, Martha
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: gets him drunk every chance she gets. Yeah, Martha and
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Snoop's pot luck dinner party. They've changed the name. Season
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: three is back, so check your local listings for that.
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: It's all that's always a fun show. That's two people
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: you would have never put together, never along so well,
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: they get along so well. Yeah, it's fun. But she
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: won't go there. They surely that thing that uh fifty
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: time about what was it made out of just like
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: like tholettiss or something. Wow, I don't know. It's a
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: it's a sculpture. It's Egyptian theme. Why would have you
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: made out of toilet? You didn't hear say it? Crack? Yeah,
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: we want that toilet paper get hard. Once you get hard,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: you already know that big. This ain't a shame. Let's
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: just go where's the getting sculpture stuff from indepen where
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: they get seal phone out there behind what? Well, then
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: that's where the hard and toiletissue call from. What It
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: is way too early for that car, It is way
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: too early for that what did you see the sculpture yet? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: he was mad. But you don't worry about that. You yeah,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: gonna be all right. Yeah, power coming back home. That's
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: right now. Don't look much like you know so well,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: but he, I mean, he put it back together. You
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: getting paid, You're getting paid, all right, Thanks guys. We
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: will be back with our last break of the day
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: and Steve's closing remarks right after this. You're listening to
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: show all right. Here we are Steve. Last break of
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: the day on this Thursday. It's been a good day
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: of fun day today you guys good Yeah, yeah, great, Yeah,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: we learned anything today? One legged love it. Thank you, sir.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: I actually want to try it is good what you
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: said though, Steve to the lady, h he's not a
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: piece of a man. I appreciated that. Yeah, the strawberry letter,
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: yeah earlier, Yeah, I appreciated that. He's still a man.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: I like that. I'm ready, all right, closing remarks from
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey. Let's go. I am
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: in light of all they were talking about this scandal
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: that's been going on with these celebrities and paying all
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: of this money to get their kids into the proper
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: schools quote unquote, the elite schools quote unquote. There just
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: as school. I looked at all these people and I'm
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: just listening to the amounts of money they paid. But
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: you know something, even if you got them in that school,
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: even if you paid the money, even if you never
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: had a guide busted, you really tried to put your
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: child into position that they didn't deserve to be in.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: And at the end of the day, I understand as
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: a parent that we all want our children to have
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: a better way of life than the one we have.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: The sad thing about being a parent is you can't
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: give them everything because there's no value. There's no lesson
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: in being given everything. The things that you were appreciate
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: the most. It's the things that you work the hardest
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: to get, the things that you would take care of
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: the most. It's the thing that you thought you'd never
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: have that you finally got, and now taking care of it,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: you give it your undivided attention. I don't like the
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: fact that people think that they can shortcut their way
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: to the top. I've said this one hundred times. There
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: are no elevators to the top. You have to take
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: the stairs. You got to raise your foot step after
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: step after step. You got to hope you make it
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: to the next landing. You got to hope that you
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: don't tie out too badly before you get there. You
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: might have to stop and you wrest room. You might
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: have to stop and just go at a different pace,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: but you still have to take the stairs. And it's
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: sad man that we have people in this world, and
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: I know we all want our children to have a
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: better life than the one we had. I get it.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: I want that from my children. But you gotta let
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: your children go through the process because it's the process
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: that teaches you how to handle adversity. It's the process
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: that teaches you how to deal with setbacks. It's the
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: process that gives you the experience needed to finish your trip.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: It's the process that every person has to go through.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: I've said this before, but all the things you're going
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: through is God preparing you for what you ask for.
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: You know, I find myself I've had to have tough
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: skin over the past few months, past few years actually,
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: and I've developed a much much tougher skin because God
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: allowed some trials to come my way to better position
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: me to test my faith, to see if I really
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: would hanging at like I say I would in the
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: midst some difficult times. You're going to get tested from
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: time to time. But that's the challenges of life. You
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: can't remove your children from the challenges of life. You
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: can't get out there and sweep all the bumps, glass turnarounds, setbacks,
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: manhole covers, missing tax in the floor, glass in the floor.
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: You can't stop things from happening to your child just
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: because it's your child. And if you do, you're preparing
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: a person that's not going to be ready. You're preparing
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: a person that will not be prepared if you keep
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: kicking all the rocks out the way, removing all the debris,
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: painting lines down for him, holding lights up for him.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: When your child does get away from you, they'll have nothing.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: They'll have nothing in their reserve tank that even resembles
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: success or sticktuitiveness, or how to get over or how
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: to stay over, or how to formulate your dreams, or
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: how to overcome obstacles or how to deal with setbacks.
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: You got to let your kids go through the process,
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: as difficult as it is. Sometimes I see my children
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: making mistakes, and I know it's a mistake. I know
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: in my heart of hearts, and some mistake I know
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: that this error, this decision, it's gonna lead you down
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: a dog path. I know what it is. All I
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: can do is once they've grown, is I gotta let
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: them figure it out for themselves. Because they've grown now,
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: so you gotta let them go. But you know what, though,
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: I've allowed them to go through the process enough times
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: that I just hope they'll make the right decision. And
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: for the most part they do. Now, do they make mistakes,
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: yup like everybody else's kids. Have I done some things
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: to get them out of some jams? Yes, But haven't
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: you done that with your kids? So I understand that
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: you want your children to have the better life, But
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: I also want you to understand that they ain't no
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: elevator to the top. That you have to take the stairs.
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: And if you keep keep keep getting the hand at
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: the next level and hand it to the next level.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: When you get to the level you think you're gonna
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: be at the top, it's all gonna crumble because your
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: foundation wasn't solid enough. It's it's it's it's a sad
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: thing to watch people parents helicopter paring and ride their
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: children so neatly and in one way badly, and when
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: they send them out into the world. They just get
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: ate up. So no elevator to the top, you have
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: to take the stairs. It's a process, y'all. Everything you're
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: going through is God preparing you for what you ask for.
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: Just remember that, okay, Just teach your path though. While
