- 3:04Speaker 1: uh huh, I shall will. Good morning everybody. You're listening
- 3:09Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now. One and
- 3:12Speaker 1: only Steve Arvy got a radio show. Man, old Man.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Old Man symbolizes just one thing to me. Man, It's
- 3:19Speaker 1: just a constant remind of exactly how good God has
- 3:22Speaker 1: been to me over the years. And I'm thank him
- 3:25Speaker 1: for it too, because I realized every day that I
- 3:27Speaker 1: wake up that I would be nothing without him. That
- 3:30Speaker 1: everything I am that's any good in me, I owe
- 3:34Speaker 1: to him. Now. Have I made some mistakes along the way? Ye? Bunches,
- 3:40Speaker 1: bunches and bunches. And will I continue to make mistakes
- 3:44Speaker 1: along the way? Yep? Not as many, hopefully as I
- 3:49Speaker 1: have in the past, because a lot of stuff I
- 3:52Speaker 1: know better now. But you're still going to make mistakes now,
- 3:57Speaker 1: you know. Hopefully. I've imitant the amount of intentional errors
- 4:03Speaker 1: in my life. I've wiped quite a few of those out,
- 4:06Speaker 1: But from time to time, because we're human, we're going
- 4:10Speaker 1: to make a mistake every now and then. The trick
- 4:12Speaker 1: what it is, y'all, it's not to let the devil
- 4:15Speaker 1: deceive you into thinking that once you make that mistake
- 4:18Speaker 1: that that's it. You can't do it, and you're falling
- 4:21Speaker 1: off the wagon, you can't reboard it. That's the biggest
- 4:25Speaker 1: trick that he uses. He makes you think that if
- 4:29Speaker 1: you keep stumbling, that you can't run the race. Um.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It kind of reminds me of a marathon runner. From
- 4:39Speaker 1: time to time I watch him on TV and you'll
- 4:42Speaker 1: see some people who are finished the race, you know,
- 4:47Speaker 1: in a in a in a nice pace, you see
- 4:50Speaker 1: people finish the race sprinting towards the finished line. But
- 4:54Speaker 1: every now and then you'll watch a marathon and you'll
- 4:58Speaker 1: see a runner and the runner is in really really
- 5:03Speaker 1: bad shape and getting close to the finish line to
- 5:07Speaker 1: the point where you see them fall, and sometimes you
- 5:09Speaker 1: see them crawling and you see the people, the aid
- 5:14Speaker 1: people that work there trying to encourage them on. Now
- 5:16Speaker 1: they can't lift them up and walk them across the
- 5:20Speaker 1: finish line because they'll be disqualified. But you see people
- 5:24Speaker 1: staggering from side to side, I mean wobbling really really bad.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Legs are completely shocked, and you're thinking, man, I hope
- 5:34Speaker 1: they make it and hang on. And a lot of times,
- 5:38Speaker 1: almost every time I've seen this person or these people
- 5:42Speaker 1: managed to somehow cross the finish line, and then the
- 5:46Speaker 1: aid workers running in and wrap them in aluminum fall
- 5:50Speaker 1: looking up blanket and start trying to get some water
- 5:54Speaker 1: to them and get an I V in their arm
- 5:56Speaker 1: and get them in an ambulance. The key is they
- 6:01Speaker 1: finished the race. See, you don't get disqualified in the
- 6:06Speaker 1: marathon because you stumble, You don't. They don't. They don't
- 6:11Speaker 1: take your opportunity to finish the race because you keep falling.
- 6:17Speaker 1: That's not the key. The key is finishing. And a
- 6:21Speaker 1: lot of times what what the devil does is he
- 6:23Speaker 1: makes you think that because you keep stumbling, because you're
- 6:27Speaker 1: swaying from side to side, that you know you're out
- 6:31Speaker 1: the race. Well, that's not the case. And see, and
- 6:35Speaker 1: in this thing called life, let me help you understand something.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Everybody falls. Nobody sprints to the tape in this one.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Nobody just runs free and clear that some people running
- 6:46Speaker 1: faster than you and all like this, and some people
- 6:49Speaker 1: gonna get to the end before you let them go ahead.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And when the end come, the end come. I ain't
- 6:53Speaker 1: in the rush to get to the end. But in
- 6:56Speaker 1: this race, though, when you're stumbling and you're falling, it's
- 7:00Speaker 1: part of it. No one gets through this race without
- 7:03Speaker 1: stumbling and falling, swaying from side to side. So don't
- 7:06Speaker 1: let the the enemy to see you into thinking that
- 7:11Speaker 1: it's over. I try to be encouraging to people because
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't want people to get stuck on this thing,
- 7:19Speaker 1: you know. And my walk is very different from a
- 7:21Speaker 1: lot of people's walks. And then I know a lot
- 7:23Speaker 1: of people who are walking in faith the way I'm
- 7:26Speaker 1: walking in faith. But my my thing in the morning
- 7:28Speaker 1: is just to remind those that is not a perfect walk, man,
- 7:32Speaker 1: That is not something that's set up where you're gonna
- 7:36Speaker 1: be skipping through life scott free without any pitfalls. You know.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I keep saying it over and over and over again because,
- 7:44Speaker 1: like I said, when I was in d c Um,
- 7:47Speaker 1: my boy Hondo said this to me, and it just
- 7:49Speaker 1: kind of stuck with me, that the road to construct,
- 7:52Speaker 1: the road to successes always under construction. You have to
- 7:56Speaker 1: figure and count on the setbacks and the hit falls.
- 8:00Speaker 1: But it's those people that that that that that fight
- 8:04Speaker 1: through will be the victors in the end. You cannot
- 8:08Speaker 1: give up, man, Stop going somewhen sitting down every time
- 8:12Speaker 1: something goes down. It's going to go down. It's a
- 8:16Speaker 1: part of it. It's going to happen. It's going to
- 8:20Speaker 1: occur that are going to be setbacks. If you go
- 8:23Speaker 1: and sit down every time there's a setback, you that's
- 8:27Speaker 1: not how this works. Please understand it is designed that way.
- 8:34Speaker 1: If success were easy, everybody would be successful. But success
- 8:40Speaker 1: is just reserved for those who are willing to fight through,
- 8:44Speaker 1: who refused to settle for mediocrity, who wants something more. Now,
- 8:49Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. Success is defined by each individual.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So what I may consider to be successful, you may
- 8:57Speaker 1: not consider that. You know what Bill Gates considers successful.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I might not consider what what Michael Jordan considers successful.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I might not consider what you consider successful. Your boss
- 9:10Speaker 1: might not consider. You have to define what that is
- 9:13Speaker 1: for yourself. It may not be monetary at all. You know,
- 9:17Speaker 1: your level of success could be tied up in community service,
- 9:21Speaker 1: It could be tied up in family, It could be
- 9:24Speaker 1: tied up in the church. Your level of success could
- 9:27Speaker 1: be tied up into boys clubs, It could be any
- 9:30Speaker 1: number of things. Whatever your level of success is, you
- 9:35Speaker 1: have to determine what that is you and the best
- 9:37Speaker 1: way to determine that is to get in touch with
- 9:41Speaker 1: your maker, who created you, to find out what your
- 9:45Speaker 1: mission and your purpose is so he can put you
- 9:48Speaker 1: on track. I just had this conversation with my son
- 9:52Speaker 1: and we were talking about getting on the path that
- 9:56Speaker 1: God has set up for you. So many times we
- 9:59Speaker 1: find ourselves fighting through life because of so much uncertainty,
- 10:03Speaker 1: because we have no idea where we're headed. It's like
- 10:09Speaker 1: one of my own sayings that I have at my
- 10:13Speaker 1: mentoring camp for boys is is that a boy without
- 10:18Speaker 1: a male role model is like an explorer without a map.
- 10:23Speaker 1: See if you don't have a map laid out in
- 10:28Speaker 1: front of you of where you're going when you wake
- 10:31Speaker 1: up every day. That pretty much explains the feeling of confusion,
- 10:37Speaker 1: the lasadaisical attitude, the lack of purpose, to not understanding
- 10:44Speaker 1: your mission because you don't have not gotten in touch
- 10:49Speaker 1: with your creator to find out exactly what your path
- 10:53Speaker 1: in life is. What are you supposed to be doing.
- 10:56Speaker 1: The moment you can identify that is the moment that
- 11:00Speaker 1: you get started waking up with purpose, with the sense
- 11:04Speaker 1: of direction. When you kill the sense of I don't
- 11:07Speaker 1: know what's next or what to do now, there's gonna
- 11:10Speaker 1: be some confusing moments no matter what happened, it's gonna
- 11:13Speaker 1: be some uncertainty. But at least you know where you're going.
- 11:17Speaker 1: So if you're tied a waking up feeling loss, abandoned, confused,
- 11:21Speaker 1: don't know what to do, don't know what you're supposed
- 11:24Speaker 1: to be doing, refer back to your makeup. Because when
- 11:30Speaker 1: he created you, he had a plan for you. When
- 11:33Speaker 1: he created you, he had a path for you. Now
- 11:37Speaker 1: we've made some decisions to get off of both of those,
- 11:40Speaker 1: the mission and the path. But God can get you
- 11:43Speaker 1: right back on track. Do that today, Talk to him
- 11:47Speaker 1: about it, ask him what you're supposed to be doing,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and listen. God has all the answers if you form
- 11:55Speaker 1: the relationship. Okay, all right, let's go. You're listening to
- 12:05Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, people, girls, boys, people that work in
- 12:12Speaker 1: the tonitry department at all departments stores, all Walmart workers,
- 12:19Speaker 1: especially the dude to give you the grocery card. When
- 12:22Speaker 1: you come in to all of the people at CVS
- 12:26Speaker 1: and write aid to anybody that work at Walgreen that's
- 12:32Speaker 1: in field of right aid and CVS taking you for
- 12:38Speaker 1: the lady behind the desk with the white coat that's
- 12:41Speaker 1: in pharmaceutical sales. And when I come in and ask
- 12:45Speaker 1: for a prescription that I can't pronounce, you help me, man,
- 12:49Speaker 1: lord lady, Thank God that you know what it is.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So that's not how you pronounce it. Here it is
- 12:58Speaker 1: And there's only twenty of them arguing with this lady,
- 13:02Speaker 1: Well you get a free Refield hell and b I
- 13:04Speaker 1: don't mean twenty day. You don't want to come back
- 13:06Speaker 1: down hire. Those are who we are dedicating today's show
- 13:10Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Good morning, Shirley, Hey,
- 13:13Speaker 1: good morning, Welcome back, Steve. Yeah, yeah, y'all tell you
- 13:17Speaker 1: what I had to do. I'm gonna give you play
- 13:18Speaker 1: a great compliment to a choir in Harlem, New Yorkshire.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Callin for rel what's happening to Steve Harvey in the building, Jr.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Morning Up. J Thomas smiles. All right, So I'm at
- 13:34Speaker 1: this event Friday night in New York at the library
- 13:38Speaker 1: Big Don't Shake Kbana event. This is the first time
- 13:42Speaker 1: Don't Shake Kbana has ever come to America, and so
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm doing the opening of the event Thursday night. You know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: they THESEUS opera dudes, Italians, they love operating English. Isn't
- 13:54Speaker 1: they good? That's really cool. People. We're in the library
- 13:58Speaker 1: out front in the hallway, a gospel choir from Harlem came.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Let me tell you something, these young people, was letting
- 14:09Speaker 1: them have it. I'm talking about the choad director with
- 14:14Speaker 1: archers back and it was called the Harlem Gospel Choire.
- 14:18Speaker 1: But it was led by this woman light Skins sister.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I can't it was a Vivian something or whatever her
- 14:23Speaker 1: name was. I can't think of the name. Somebody said
- 14:26Speaker 1: this to something something and she's headed by this woman
- 14:29Speaker 1: and her choir director is this black dude, ballhead dude.
- 14:32Speaker 1: It was rocking. Let me tell you something. Side to side,
- 14:36Speaker 1: soul clapping, no but ripping these souls off to people
- 14:43Speaker 1: from Asia, Brazil, the UK. Man they were just they
- 14:49Speaker 1: couldn't even clap. They don't know what it was. I
- 14:51Speaker 1: got him to you and was letting him have it. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 1: what were you doing? You better come on now? Well,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you're about to sing it. Let him use you. Everybody
- 15:06Speaker 1: in that saying man. And so the foreigners were going,
- 15:10Speaker 1: what is this and they we're going, this is a
- 15:12Speaker 1: gospel choir. Oh my god. They loved it. They were
- 15:16Speaker 1: just mesmerize. They did, and they were singing the hits
- 15:22Speaker 1: soul versions of this little light of mine. I'm a
- 15:27Speaker 1: soldier alone, but much soul version that quad by that light,
- 15:34Speaker 1: skilling lady was clouded. I just wanted to give big
- 15:37Speaker 1: ups to the something something Hallom gospel quad. We'll be back.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Maybe there's a part two of this. Okay, we'll be
- 15:44Speaker 1: back at thirty two. After you're listening to Steven show
- 15:50Speaker 1: it is time for something funny and Steve, if you
- 15:52Speaker 1: were telling us about your face. Let me just finished
- 15:55Speaker 1: this quial. That was the highlight of the weekend. Now
- 15:58Speaker 1: let me tell you the in Okay, the choir was
- 16:02Speaker 1: just off the chain. The dude was bent back directing
- 16:05Speaker 1: the choir. The tenor section was good, our toes was good.
- 16:09Speaker 1: To the sopranos they was in that single, and it
- 16:12Speaker 1: was echoing in the library because they had them on
- 16:14Speaker 1: the steps out in the heart. The sound was outstanding.
- 16:19Speaker 1: But the people looking didn't know what they were watching
- 16:22Speaker 1: because they've never seen it. But then you they was
- 16:24Speaker 1: getting caught up in it though. They was. Clady was
- 16:27Speaker 1: struggling trying to keep the clapbating because you know, uh huh.
- 16:34Speaker 1: They was giving him some of that and that was
- 16:36Speaker 1: throwing him a little bit. Yes, sir, that's because you
- 16:39Speaker 1: went to us methods. Method y'all all, y'all songs was
- 16:47Speaker 1: out the book. They didn't have no books. They was
- 16:50Speaker 1: falling instructures one more yes, two more times, yes, yes, yeah.
- 16:59Speaker 1: They was letting here. So I'm standing next to the
- 17:02Speaker 1: Asian dude. Well, probably shouldn't say that, because I've been
- 17:05Speaker 1: in trouble. You can say Asian, yeah, because that's what
- 17:17Speaker 1: you can do. I didn't do that. I was next
- 17:22Speaker 1: to a Brazilian dude. I was next to see right there,
- 17:24Speaker 1: let me kiss Charge's Brazilian. Yeah, just stop, man. So
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm sitting there and their mouths is open. They just
- 17:34Speaker 1: taking pictures because it was a highlight. So the next
- 17:38Speaker 1: event was at Christie Shut up. Now, let me tell
- 17:43Speaker 1: you something they was. That was an auction, sir. Jessica
- 17:48Speaker 1: Parker was there. She was at out So I did
- 17:51Speaker 1: the uh so uh. The first night was at Christie's.
- 17:54Speaker 1: The second night was at the library where the gospel
- 17:57Speaker 1: singers go. But let me tell you something. At Christie's
- 18:01Speaker 1: they would be they beat it on the necklace a
- 18:05Speaker 1: bracelet and think, let me tell you how I go.
- 18:07Speaker 1: My wife said, Steve, we should just be it, just
- 18:09Speaker 1: to get it started. The dude opening bid for this
- 18:12Speaker 1: one necklace was you had to open that thirty thousand,
- 18:17Speaker 1: he said. He said, can I get thirty thousand? To dude?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Hell his paddle up and said, a hundred thousand, okay, man,
- 18:24Speaker 1: you to do so you could start at third. Damn
- 18:27Speaker 1: you don't let nobody else play hundred thousand. So that
- 18:32Speaker 1: just just a necklace pressure jewel, and so it got started.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Ended up when we got through with this dude right here,
- 18:41Speaker 1: and somebody tried to challenge him, Oh, this is war
- 18:44Speaker 1: right here was clowning. He ended up for Sarah Jessica
- 18:48Speaker 1: Parker's Foundation six hundred and forty thousands a million, didn't
- 18:55Speaker 1: have any diamonds in it. Of course, it was huge.
- 18:58Speaker 1: It was incredible. Piece was incredible piece. When he got
- 19:01Speaker 1: through it to come fourth doll, did you beat it
- 19:03Speaker 1: all now? No? No, no, no, he proved that you
- 19:06Speaker 1: didn't want to mess with him. We're gonna start at
- 19:09Speaker 1: thirty thousand. His first shot dal so last so Sunday night,
- 19:18Speaker 1: the event Sunday Night was at the Mat okay, so
- 19:23Speaker 1: they had the faster shot the mat. My daughter walked
- 19:25Speaker 1: in that. You could see it on Margie's page. The
- 19:28Speaker 1: dinner was inside the Met gallup at the Met Opera
- 19:32Speaker 1: House on stage. The dinner was on stage at the
- 19:38Speaker 1: That's how much money to these people have? So I
- 19:40Speaker 1: had dinner? Were there not exactly broke then, and like
- 19:50Speaker 1: you snuck in? I was like, oh, at prime table
- 19:54Speaker 1: and you're not broke, but you're in there as a
- 19:57Speaker 1: black man. Me and Jamie Fox. Jamie Fox is at
- 20:02Speaker 1: the show because Jamie Fox daughter and my daughter walked
- 20:04Speaker 1: into fashion Katie Holmes with him. You don't like when
- 20:07Speaker 1: you asked him questions right the question, I don't I
- 20:13Speaker 1: don't know. I don't get into that. I don't get
- 20:19Speaker 1: tell me my dude, he don't want to talk about it.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I don't talk about I don't do gossip. I don't
- 20:24Speaker 1: know who somebody with it. I saw Jamie Fox and
- 20:29Speaker 1: they Naomi Campbell closed the show and shut it down.
- 20:34Speaker 1: That damn name Naomi walked through that I've never seen
- 20:38Speaker 1: a model getting around of applause for her. She's unless,
- 20:44Speaker 1: she said, I said, you gangster, she said, I'm too old. No, no, no, no,
- 20:48Speaker 1: they know what. She's still fine. Please understand, please please,
- 20:53Speaker 1: she's a self fine and lack of Who is it
- 20:55Speaker 1: that you saw Naomi? But you didn't see Katie? Well
- 21:01Speaker 1: I don't. Katie wasn't in the fashion show. Listen the
- 21:06Speaker 1: black girl walking down. Don't answer one in that voice
- 21:18Speaker 1: coming he said he was Brazilian. Didn't you hear him?
- 21:23Speaker 1: I don't do bian voice story. It was great man,
- 21:31Speaker 1: and just some amazing stuff. And uh, well you know,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I didn't work this weekend, so that was good, but
- 21:41Speaker 1: I had to tend events because of my child was
- 21:43Speaker 1: in it. I had to go. Yeah, I was all
- 21:49Speaker 1: the time. But but now let me tell you something.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Some dudes and that was some stuff on really. Yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to switch up a little bit when
- 21:56Speaker 1: they when I go to these automotive fashion shows, I'm
- 21:59Speaker 1: gonna have to go a little bit more high fash. Yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna get some gangster stuff made. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 22:07Speaker 1: be glittering and shine. All right, we'd ahead the jacket,
- 22:10Speaker 1: match the pass that match to shoot. All right, Steve,
- 22:14Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Coming up next, run
- 22:16Speaker 1: that prank back with the nephew right after this. You're
- 22:19Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 22:24Speaker 1: top of the hour. It's Entertainment News. Russell Crowe the Gladiator, Yeah,
- 22:31Speaker 1: gets million at his divorce auction. Well, yeah, we'll talk
- 22:35Speaker 1: about it. We'll talk about it. Miss And is also
- 22:37Speaker 1: going to be here with Today's National News. But right
- 22:39Speaker 1: now it is time for the nephew to run that

- 31:49Speaker 1: more than two hundred of Russell Crowe's belongings, including movie memorabilia, artwork,
- 31:55Speaker 1: and instruments, and among the best sellers was the breastplate

- 35:18Speaker 1: Oh boy, okay, and here we go. This is a trip.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Everyone with the news. President Trump is condemning what he
- 35:24Speaker 1: says was a heinous attack on innocent Syrians using banned
- 35:28Speaker 1: chemical weapons video showing some forty men, women and children
- 35:31Speaker 1: were killed. We're talking about humanity, and he can't be
- 35:34Speaker 1: allowed to happen. As bad as the news is around
- 35:37Speaker 1: the world, you just don't see those images. The President
- 35:40Speaker 1: says he's going to make up his mind about what
- 35:41Speaker 1: the US reaction is going to be between now and tomorrow.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Trump says he's considering US military action. You may remember
- 35:48Speaker 1: about a year ago, the president ordered a missile strike
- 35:51Speaker 1: on a Syrian airfield after he saw photos of scores
- 35:54Speaker 1: of lifeless bodies, also supposedly poisoned. As for whether he
- 35:58Speaker 1: thinks that Russian President Putin is at least partially responsible
- 36:01Speaker 1: because of his relationship with the Syrian government, Trump told
- 36:04Speaker 1: reporters that, quote, he may, and that if he is,
- 36:07Speaker 1: he will pay a price. He says everybody will. Meanwhile,
- 36:11Speaker 1: the FEDS conducted a rad yesterday on the home and
- 36:13Speaker 1: office of Trump's personal attorney, and the President calls it
- 36:16Speaker 1: a quote attack on our country unquote. There's no firmware,
- 36:20Speaker 1: and what they're looking for, whether it has to do
- 36:22Speaker 1: with Russia and the election, or maybe that alleged hush
- 36:25Speaker 1: payment to stripper Stormy Daniels. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg schedule
- 36:29Speaker 1: to answer questions on Capitol Hill later on today and tomorrow,
- 36:33Speaker 1: and he's released the text of his testimony. In it,
- 36:36Speaker 1: Zuckerberg plans to tell legislators that he personally takes responsibility
- 36:40Speaker 1: for Facebook's failure to prevent its platform from being used
- 36:43Speaker 1: to facilitate foreign intervention in our elections and for the
- 36:46Speaker 1: spreading of fake news and hate speech. In his prepared remarks,
- 36:50Speaker 1: Zuckerberg will also list the changes that Facebook is making making,
- 36:54Speaker 1: like auditing all connected apps and verifying the identities of
- 36:57Speaker 1: people who buy political ads form Republican Governor Rick Scott
- 37:02Speaker 1: has announced that he's running for US Senate. Since he's
- 37:04Speaker 1: not expected to have a GOP primary opponent, Scott will
- 37:07Speaker 1: expected to challenge three term Democrat and come with Bill Nelson.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Hundreds of people flocked to Atlanta's famed Ebenezer Baptist Church
- 37:15Speaker 1: yesterday on what was the fiftieth anniversary of the Reverend
- 37:18Speaker 1: Dr Martin Luther King's funeral, and the two of the
- 37:21Speaker 1: King children, his son Martin the third and his daughter
- 37:25Speaker 1: of Reverend Bernice King, that's his youngest. They were those
- 37:28Speaker 1: in attendance. There was so many in attendance, but they
- 37:30Speaker 1: were among them. After the service, by the way, the
- 37:32Speaker 1: crowd marched to the Georgia State Capital to also commemorate
- 37:37Speaker 1: the life and the legacy of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Finally,
- 37:41Speaker 1: today is National Farm Animals Day, and it's also be
- 37:47Speaker 1: kind to animals as well and the prevention of cruelty
- 37:50Speaker 1: to animals. Remember that be kind to your pets and
- 37:53Speaker 1: make sure that other people around you were decent to
- 37:55Speaker 1: theirs as well. We'll be back with more entertainment in

- 56:45Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. Alright, subject, should I overlook
- 56:50Speaker 1: his trust issues? Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty two
- 56:54Speaker 1: year old divorced mother of five. Recently I met the
- 56:57Speaker 1: man that I am now in love with. The chemistry
- 57:01Speaker 1: was bananas from the moment we met. He accepted my
- 57:04Speaker 1: children with no problem. To top it all off, he's tall, dark, handsome,
- 57:09Speaker 1: and the sex is so good it brought a tear
- 57:13Speaker 1: to my eye one night. When we met. He was
- 57:17Speaker 1: unemployed in living with his grandma, but he won me
- 57:20Speaker 1: over with his persistence and great personality. I encouraged and
- 57:24Speaker 1: helped him complete a training program and then start a career. Well,
- 57:29Speaker 1: here's the dilemma. He is extremely jealous. Any missteps on
- 57:33Speaker 1: my behalf, such as a missed call or delayed text response,
- 57:37Speaker 1: he starts to act crazy. He goes into a fit
- 57:40Speaker 1: of rage and he says really hurtful things. He's called
- 57:44Speaker 1: me a be a whore, slut, and he accuses me
- 57:47Speaker 1: of cheating on him. His ex wife cheated on him
- 57:50Speaker 1: with his brother, so he has serious trust issues. He's
- 57:54Speaker 1: crazy jealous and insecure behavior. His crazy jealous and insecure
- 57:58Speaker 1: behavior breaks my part. I never even considered cheating on him.
- 58:04Speaker 1: What can I do to get this man to trust me?
- 58:06Speaker 1: This really sucks? Please advise, you are so correct, This
- 58:10Speaker 1: does really suck. But please know that this has absolutely
- 58:14Speaker 1: nothing to do with you. All Right, this tall, dark
- 58:17Speaker 1: and handsome loser is insecure and he's controlling. He's taking
- 58:23Speaker 1: it out all on you. He's taking all of this
- 58:25Speaker 1: out on you. Here you are having done everything for him,
- 58:29Speaker 1: you know, with the with the training program, helping him
- 58:31Speaker 1: start a career, in all of this, and this is
- 58:34Speaker 1: the thanks you get. How dare he treat you like this? Uh?
- 58:37Speaker 1: You know by being so ungrateful. I just say to you, please,
- 58:41Speaker 1: don't let his bad behavior to start you to you know,
- 58:45Speaker 1: to be less confident, have it start taking away your shine.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I don't think no man is worth going through all
- 58:52Speaker 1: of this. You ask, what can you do to get
- 58:54Speaker 1: him to treat you, to trust you. You're doing it,
- 58:59Speaker 1: and you've done it. Okay, what else can you do?
- 59:01Speaker 1: I mean, you don't have to do anything else. I
- 59:04Speaker 1: think you've done quite enough. I'm concerned that he can
- 59:07Speaker 1: get violent with this abusive behavior that he's displaying if
- 59:10Speaker 1: it continues. I just say, remember you have five kids,
- 59:14Speaker 1: and that I'm assuming a rather young uh and impressionable
- 59:17Speaker 1: since you're your yourself are only thirty two. Uh, they're
- 59:21Speaker 1: watching everything you do, so I say, be smart and
- 59:24Speaker 1: get out while you can and while you still have
- 59:26Speaker 1: your dignity. Okay, he's disrespectful and he doesn't deserve a
- 59:30Speaker 1: woman like you. Steve, Well, one thing is for sure.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Don't nobody see these letters like me? I like to
- 59:38Speaker 1: dig up under the letter and find out what's really
- 59:41Speaker 1: going on. Should overlook his trust issues? The beginning of
- 59:47Speaker 1: the letters quite clear to me. I'm a thirty two
- 59:50Speaker 1: year old divorced mother of five. Recently I met this
- 59:55Speaker 1: man that I'm in love with now. The chemistry was
- 59:59Speaker 1: bananas from the moment we met. That's a young term.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: It's bananas. It's bananas. That's a young term. The chemistry
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: was bananas. Nobody describes they love like as bananas, taquito.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: It just ain't a good look when your relationship in
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: chemistry is bananas. That's all it is. H Ain't nobody
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: mentioned love in this letter though? So but gos CAUs,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: it ain't there yet. It's just bananas, all right. He
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: accepted my children with no problem. Yell. That was big. Yeah,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: at five. That's big. I'll give him some credit to
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: top it off. He's tall, dog, handsome and the sexiest good.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: It bought a tear to my eye one night. I've
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: explained to you why I was so good, because it
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: starts coming out in the letter. Why his sex was
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: so good when we met. Here we go right after
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: you say the sex was so good. Here the reason
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: why when we met he was unemployed living with his grandma.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: That's boy, that's growing for operationally. Here here to him. This,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: this all this explained the hall top of the letter.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: You ain't got to wonder why the sector is so
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: good and bought a tear to your eye. He needs
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: somethwhere to stay. He in here humping for homes. Little
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: show that I'm gonna do. It's called hump for homes.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: This is when you ain't got nowhere and you got
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: to put it out to get yourself somewhere. I'm gonna find.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you all, ladies, honey, Well, I'm gonna
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: find a bunch of unemployed men that stay in their
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: mama's and grandmama's basement. And if they don't come in
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: here and bring a tear to your eye. They get
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: somewhere to stay. You ain't gonna believe in loving you're
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: gonna get It's a new show. It's called Humping for Home.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: That's why it was so good. A tear to your eye.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: He's staying at Grandmama's house. He ain't working. Men that
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: ain't working got time to hold their skills. He ain't
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: ever tied. He rested. Yeah, he got plenty. He got
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: plenty of done of MYO else on him. He stopped.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: He got stuff backed up in him for months. Not
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: very many women want an unemployed man. You did now
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: here and here humping for home Now he had brought
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: a tear to your eye on the Yeah, why he
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: humping so good? Well? P. Two of Steve's response coming
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: up at I been homeless, I have hopeful homes with
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: three after the hour you're listening, Steve show coming up
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: in about twenty minutes, King of Comedy, Cedric the Entertainer
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: will be our special guest. He's gonna tell us about
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: the hilarious new TV show The Last O g on TBS.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: But right now, come on, King of Comedy yourself. Steve
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: let us talking about shut out overlook his trust she'd
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: met this man. She's been in love with chemistry, with bananas,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: just bananas from the just now that's bananas. He accepted
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: my children with no problem. She had devor mother five uh.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: To top it off, he's tall, dog, handsome, and the
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: sex is so good it brought a tear to my eye.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Then she told us why because he's right After that,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: when we met, he was unemployed in living with his grandmoma.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: How his sex ain't gonna be good. He got tired,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: he all, he ain't ever tied, he ain't got nowhere
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: to be, and he stayed with his grandmama's house, which
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: has now caused us Me and Jay and Kill gonna
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: produced a new hit show, Humping for Homes. This is
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: where we take unemployed me and they ain't working and
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: show you how to do it sex. They can give
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: out because they have the time. All right now, you said,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: but he warned me over with his persistence and great personality. Hell,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: he's gonna be nice, hard to be rude. You ain't
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: got the house. I've been homeless and nice and out
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: ever being can't be rude. You stay in your car?
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: How you how you doing today? So I'm absolutely fine,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: ma'am how are you people I wouldn't even speak to.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I was very kind to him because they could be
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: they could be sheltered. Everybody looking at his shelter. Yeah,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: everybody was speaking to me. I had a key. I
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: didn't This could be meal out of a plate, TV
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: on the wall all around. So I encouraged and helped
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: him complete a training program and then start a career. Okay,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: hold on, if it happened that, let's quit talking about
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: this training programming career, you guy? Yeah, you took him
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: down there? What you took him down there? Know, all
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: of a sudden he did a training program. It's just
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: two weeks. Because she's embellishing that. Yeah, so he got
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: a career. He's extremely jealous. Any misstep on my half,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: such as a miscall the delayed text respund he starts
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: and acting crazy. Let's just go back to why you
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: his home? Now? He got somewhere to live. What you mean?
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: You ain't asking no tex you move, you don't answer
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: my tech, You won't me. I called you Mr phone call.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: You won't answer me. He goes into a fit of rage.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: He says, really hurt for things He's called me a
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: be a hare a slut, and he accuses me of
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: cheating on him. His ex wife cheated on him with
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: his brother. This ain't got nothing new with you. He was.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: He's referring to you as to what he was referring
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: to his ex wife ass because that's what he called
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: her after she cheating with him with his brother. Your
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: real issue was with both of them. But I'm gonna
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: beat my brother asked though he got. Yeah, your brother
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: gonna get his ask for now. Me and you win't
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: cool no more. We ain't gonna talk. I got all that.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: But my brother, though he's gonna get, He gonna get
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: the flesh stomped off him. The flesh stomped off him,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: and he know that he already note that. Yeah, now
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: his x Y cheating up to his brother he has
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: He's crazy, jealous and insecure. Behavior breaks my heart. I
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: never even considered cheating on him. What can I do
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: to get this man to trust me? This really sucks.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: You can't get this man to trust you if you've
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: done nothing to make the man right? Do have You've
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: done nothing to cause mistrust in the man. What can
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: you do to get him to trust you? What else
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: can you do? You're not doing anything wrong and he
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: don't trust you. What can you do more right to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: get him to trust you when he don't trust you
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: and you ain't done nothing. This is not a win situation.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: You're dealing with the person with some serious issues. Well,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: now you know why you didn't found Mr Todd, dog
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: and handsome. He was available. Where is this outstanding man?
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: He was unemployed. He was staying at his grandmama's house.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: His mama even told him, you can't stay That's why
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: he was that grandmother told you you can't stay here
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: with the mama. First, you can't stay here. Boy, pull
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: yourself together. Might have a daddy or someone even to
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: come back up. Been here, get your wads together. He
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: would ride over the grandma's house because he he weak
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: and he insecured. Now listen to me. You're not going
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: to be able to win this man's trust because you've
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: done everything that trustworthy people do, which is you've been loyal, committed,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: and you're giving him what he needs exactly. You're giving him.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: He's getting good sex, but he's also getting a place
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: to come to get the key. Getting the key he's
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: never had that. He had that within his wife and
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: she slept with his brother. She found out it wasn't
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: nothing to said, well, hell let me try. I hadn't
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: made a mistake with him, Let me try brother. They're
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: all good looking people, Yeah, they are the whole family.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Probably tall dog and handsome that his mama is tall
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: dog and handsome. Problem grant. Yeah, just two people people
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: in that house. This is all bad, lady. You should
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: get out of this situation because it's not a win win. See,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: regaining a person's trust is one thing. Having a person's
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: trust and you've done and done nothing to get his
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: mistrust is a whole another issue. What else can you do?
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: You've done nothing wrong, so what you have nothing to fix.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: You're trying to fix something that shouldn't even require fixing
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: because it ain't broke. But he accusing you a being
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: to be a whole a slot and all this because
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: he's talking about his X messing with his brother and
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: now you it and until he get past him issues,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: you should run the other way. Thank you very much.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Saturday nights, don't forget to join me this coming Thursday

- 1:11:33Speaker 1: I mean to Brooklyn that he comes in you know,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: doing love has got you know, yoga shops and workout facilities,

- 1:11:50Speaker 1: the dude that runs the halfway house that ends up
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: being a mentor to him and I give my hard time. Uh.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Tim d Hattis is on the show. It's just fun man, Tracy.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: He's a rare form top form rick by George Pale
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: from get Out This is This show is just hot man.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: And uh, he was really glad to have the numbers
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: opened up so big last week. Yeah, that's really good man,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: very very fun. Yeah. They say it's the highest numbers
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: ever on TVs of anything. Congratulations, Yeah, good man. How
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: do you feel about the role you played, saying, you know,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: it's always fun Like for me, I get to come
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: on and play that little you know, one of those
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: characters that just get to have fun. You know, I've
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: always you know, I've led on a couple of shows
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: and through the soul man you know, those kind of things,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and then to be able to come on and just
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: play with other comedians. Man, and you know, again, my
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: characters is supposed to be the comic relief. He crazy,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: he you know, he running his halfway house. He had
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: met jobs. So you know, I enjoyed it at the
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: same time to take it self way through seriously, so
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: you know, this is a fun character to play, man.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: You know, I tried to have a sergeant haircut, you know,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I just added some something. Yeah. I just enjoyed the
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: cussing on the show. That's been a highlight of mind. Man,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: if I could, where was that when we was only
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: kids in the classroom, I was, I was doing that
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: old sober Man's a linister say well, I mean you
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: don't know the middle because we know, yeah, man, this
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: show is really really good. Man. Tiffany hadishes on the show.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: That was my first time seeing her that way. I've
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: never seen her that way, you know, because when she
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: first came on the show, I didn't know it was her. Yeah,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: she just were like a little more a little more
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: of a ground, a little more serious role. She wasn't
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: doing the name, you know what I mean. I think
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: that was Yeah, I just saw I just went, Okay, okay,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Tiffany has playing bad baby. Okay, hey what the chick
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: coming down the steps? All right? Yeah? Yeah, she killed it,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: you know, and and it really works for you know
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: that their relationship because you buy both sides. You buy
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: her as you know, the old the hood, the writer
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: dit check that was with him back in the day,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: and then you can see her evolve and turned into
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: this blue person. And I think that that really helps
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: you know, Uh, this set up that story of what
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: you know Tracy is searching for and looking for, you know,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: as the last o g you know, he said, let
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: me ask you this, man, how is it for you
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: and Tracy because you're both legends in the game. Is
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: it a lot of improv on the show? Do y'all
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: just bring some stuff to the table that ain't on
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: the script? Oh? Definitely, man, you know, I mean that's
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: what's really great about both us being vestments like that
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: both wanta stand up and you know on television. Uh,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: you know the work he did on Dirty Rockets, you know,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: I was amazing. Plus Tracy says, the humorous one, you
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: can't write anyway. So you gotta be ready, man, Yeah,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: you gotta be ready to go with him because he
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: a wild horse man. He just he gonna go about
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: the gate and you're gonna be like, okay, well all
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: that trained and without the window that he's like like
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: me and you're doing Steve show like it ain't ye paperwork. Yeah,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: every time saying come on my show. The producers produced
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: the show. And they get out there and they hand
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: me all them cards and I just put them down
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: in the crack of their chair and we're going. And
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: it produces me going, he's not asking any of the questions.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Produce you know, the two of us are unproducible. You
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: got to see that a lot on the Steve Harvey
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Show to you right on your TV shows. Yeah, it's
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: always whenever you you know you can trust that you
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: got like, you know, a great comedian with you, and uh,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: you know again this is the show is well written,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: so you've got strong words. You know, you know where
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: you're going as far as the story points going, what
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: you're trying to say and so and then you know,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: the opportunity then comes in just you know said making
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: sure you you hit that stage and light it up
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: when you get the camera on you. You know, that's
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: what's really tope about that. And Tracy is great addctivity
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: is great at it. Like I said, George Field right
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: that that pilot episode and producing it and this this

- 1:16:42Speaker 1: I was going through a tough time and Tracy Morgan
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: reached out to me. A matter of fact, he came
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: up to me one time. You know, somebody had a
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: one sided beef with me years ago, you know, and uh,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Tracy Morgan saw me outside somewhere at this hotel up
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: in the d c A. He came up to me
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: and said, hey, man, you alleging you you a legend.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: I don't get this dude even coming at you, but
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: I'm going to call him up done, straighten him out.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: You know he he that type dude because he is
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: really Brooklyn Tracian Morgan is not the you know, like
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: if you're a bully and you want to go pick
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: somebody and he's not in anyway. We want to say
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: thank you too, said for stopping by this morning and
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: make sure you check out the Last o G tonight
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: at ten thirty pm Eastern on t BS, the number
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: one show you're listening, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, it
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: is time. Let's go, Carla, come on, let's get it.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Let's get it. Let's get it. We have a special
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: edition ladies and gentlemen. Right now, it's that time with
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Call of Ferrell. Reality. All right, I'm in it. It
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: time somebody no go ahead? Alright, Krew Well Real Housewives
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: of Atlanta the Reunion. By now everyone has seen it
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: in There's Sunday. Give you a chance to watch it.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: So here we go. Um. I kind of said this
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: earlier in the season that Porsche needed to really apologize
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: to Candy, and you know, Porsche felt in her defense,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Porsche felt like she apologized twice to Candy for all
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: the drama and all the damaging things that Porsche and
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Phaedra said last season. But the ladies kind of came
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: for Porsche at the reunion show because they were saying
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: that Porsche's apology, uh, both of her apologies were insincere,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I'm sorry, yeah yeah yeah, or you know,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: she just really didn't mean it, and that was really
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: the major topic early on in the reunion show, and
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: the ladies that you know you saw this sh early,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: they kept coming after Porsche because they said, you know,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: you really weren't sorry or your actions didn't show it.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: And the Ninny even suggested at the season finale, she said,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: talk to her now, let's get the girls together, and
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: she said, no, I'm not apologizing anymore. So you hit
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: me up on Instagram right now, lips spark Carlin, tell me,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: do you think that portion needs to apologize? You think so? Yeah,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: yeah yea. And Candy is very emotional. People were coming
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: for Candy last night on social media saying that, you know,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Porsche apologize, it was enough, and that Candy is about
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: to get upset and start crying again. But I love
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Ny love Candy. Candy. What did you say? Wait? What
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: what did you she talks for Oh okay, yeah, we
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: love Candy. So anyway, that's that. Congratulations. It seems like Kenya.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: She revealed that she's expected Kenya more. Yes. Yeah, so
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Andy Cohen while talking to Kenny the Daddy feel I said,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: but Andy Cowen when he was speaking to Kenya at
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: the reunion show talking about her marriage and why was
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: she so secretive throughout the season about her marriage, being
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: that she is a reality star. And he also told
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Kenya that her husband Mark told him, meaning Andy, one
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: of his colleagues, that he didn't like the show and
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: it was a bad image for black women. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: So Kenya was trying to say that was on the
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: blogs or something like that, and and he was like, no, no, no, no,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: I was told that by one of our colleagues. So
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: it kind of called Kenya, did you see that? It
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: was kind of crickets. Sometimes I feel the same way
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: that sometimes it is a bad thing for sisters. Uh.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: The house was to show the fighting when they get
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: physical and they jump up and they slapped each other
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: on these shows and throwing water and all like that.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Listen to me, there are no group of black women
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: who are really friends who meet and fight and then
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: go out next Friday. Two. I don't know such a group.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I don't know such a group. And it does send
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: the wrong imagery at times for young girls that you
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: can dress up and be stunningly gorgeous and lose your
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: temperature and walk over and slap somebody if they say
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: something you don't like. That imagery is false of black
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: women for real, it's really not. Shirley has a group
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: of friends, Carlin has a group of friends. My wife
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: has a group of friends. They don't get together and
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: fight and then get together again next Friday. They don't.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Then what makes you think what makes people watch it
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: because of the dramas it is? It's minds entertainment and
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: novel or something like that. These reality shows are scripted, Yeah,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: they are. They have scripts. Hey, we're gonna create this,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: we want to say this, you know, and like, if
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: you don't bring enough drama, they put you off the show.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Oh yes, speaking that's what happened on the House wid
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: show because she didn't have enough drama going on. So
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: you know, they if you don't have enough storyline stuff
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: that juicy on social media, you lose your show. Let's see,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: that's crazy. To me, because the Kardashians have none of that,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: and people just watch them to be watching them. Yeah,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: they don't have any drama like that fighting each other
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: out yea, and the Kardashian's biggest drama they never revealed
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: on the show exactly with Ruce Jenner. They definite revealed
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: that on the show. Y'all do y'all? Yeah, well, I'm
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: through with that. What I wanted to say was you
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: talked about getting fired off the show. So it's a
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: brumer out there that Charay reportedly was fired again. I'm upset. Yeah,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: I'm really not going I happened? What happened? Now? Yeah,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: they said that she did not get her peach renewed
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: for next season and that she was let go. Now,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: this is on the blogs, and Porscha tweeted out Karma.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: She posted that on social media about yeah, Chay getting terminated. Yeah,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: and Kim. It's reported that Kim won't be returning back
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: anyway next season. But she wasn't a housewife anyway on
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: the show technically, So there you go. Part two of
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: the reunion show will be next week next Sunday, and
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: you know you're still going to see obviously Chiy on
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: the reunion show. So let's talk about why do the
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Kardashians get the ratings take get and you know why
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: because they may not have the drama, but they are revealing.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: They are revealing beautiful. Yeah, and they're gorgeous. Is most
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: revealing and yeah, I love them watching them to say.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: The difference of of the shows of the program. Yeah,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: the requirements you know, we have. So hit me up,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: lips a bark, Carla, hit me up on Instagram. Let's
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: keep this conversation going. We'll be back at twenty after
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: the hours. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. Okay, before
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: we left, Carla, you were doing your Reality Update and
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: we were talking about the imagery of black women on
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: reality television and things like that versus a show like
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: the Kardashians that brings in the high numbers, but they
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: don't have the drama that you know, the shows with
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: black women have. And Steve, you wanted to make another
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: comment on that. Let's see, we can control that. See
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: we can control that those you know, Candy is not
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: that type of She's a businesswoman. Candy is really a
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: business woman. Cynthia Basing, Cynthia Bailey is really a businesswoman.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: She's a top flight model. She's a businesswoman. Kenya Moore
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: was not that drama queen type. You know. They when
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: you get on these shows, these producers, if they can
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: push you in a certain direction, they will. They don't
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: care about your personal life. They don't care about young
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: black girls watching these shows. They ain't got no they
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: have no motivation. They have one motivation that's a rating
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: number so they can stay on TV. And if they
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: find out that drama and fight started, bam. Basketball Wise.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Basketball Wise was the worst of the worst when they
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: came out with Basketball Wise and them girls was crawling
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: cross tables and doing what they were doing, and then
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: all of a sudden, all the rest of the show
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: stepped up that way. All the hip hop shows came
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: back with that mess right there. Because in actuality, y'all,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: I just don't know black women who behave that way
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: and our friends and the main statement, Steve, that's a
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: very true statement. I just don't know them even cordial. Look, man,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: just anyone who acts like that, I don't anywhere. Yeah,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: I mean Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa turned over
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: the table. That was big news for you know, for
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: a long time but I don't know. Hi, Orange County.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: They get in arguments and they have, but this always slapping,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: getting up, walking over there and slapping you. Brandy slapped
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: Lisa one time and she's off the show one time.
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: We right ere, We we go everywhere we fly, we
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: go out the country to fight. So what you're saying
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: is they require us to fight and act a fool
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: and bring bring the drama, and they don't on the
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: and we do it, and we do it. We do
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: it because of the check. Well, if you don't do it,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: you won't get a check. See, And they control it
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: that way. And some of these girls are making decent
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: livings at this and so now here you come. And
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: so that's the danger of it. And I think if
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Kingya's husband said this, he's absolutely right. I know a
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: guy who wants to date a housewife but because of
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: his career and he can't do that. You know, man, no,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: I'll slept you for it. He wants to get married Jay.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: See time, here's a problem. Men don't do will on
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: reality shows because like you would slap me for a check,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: but then you won't be able to spend none of
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: the money. Could just be one episode Tommy slap Steve.
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: And then next week we all know what the hell
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: happen cause we can't get cameras in the sea, Steve.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: We on the lock cameras down the county. Count What
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: is it locked up? Now? Oh yeah, because you see
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: Tommy slapped me? Episode slapping anyone? How say up out
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: of the wall. More more of this craziness when we
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: come back. You're listening to Morning show. Alright, so you
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: guys are all comedians. Check out this story. Dave Chappelle
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: was hit in the leg by a concert gore who
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: threw a banana peal during Dave's at Uh. This happened
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: in Santa Fe, Mexico. Okay. The guy's name was Christian Englander. Englander.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: He said that he threw the banana peel at Dave
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: because he heckled his friend. Now this guy again, his name,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: Christian Englander, filed a lawsuit in New Mexico on Friday,
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: claiming that Dave Chappelle's bodyguard whacked him twice in the
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: face as he was being restrained by security. Now, Christian
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Englander was arrested. He was charged with battery and disorderly conduct,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: though the charges were dropped because Dave Chappelle was unwilling.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: He didn't want to even participate in the prosecution. Now
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: this guy is suing Dave Chappelle in the lawsuit, saying
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: he experienced loss of income, physical and emotional pain. And
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: this is a new one on me, loss of enjoyment
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: in life as a result of this. What did you get?
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: Be right? Right? You don't enjoy like you can't sleep
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: good every time you see somebody. But here's a dude.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: See they don't understand. Okay, here you are, you on stage,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: you perform it. You throw a banana peel at a
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: black dude that you brought them because they don't sell banana.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: Hold on, dog, hold on, you bought a banana? You
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: there's no bananas at the concession stands pretty much nowhere.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: So you bought a banana, you know what, you thought
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: you were right? You were right, bought you bought it,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: You bought it with it. You bought it and brought
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: the same He bought banana in there, put it in
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: the bag and bought it with it. Go ahead, stew
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: comedians bought the banana in there. Go ahead, man, So
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: now he hain't show wrong with the banella now and
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: he throw it at Dave Chappelle. Now they go down
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: there and they're restrained. The dude Chappelle bodyguard go down
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: there are we're throwing bananas at black people. At my job,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: that's my job is to protect him. Now Chappelle didn't
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: want to participate. But now you're trying to supper. You
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: can't sue spare you if you If Dave Chappelle has
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: said go down there and hit him two times in
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: the face, you might have something. If he's suing him
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: for loss of income, physical and emotional pain, and loss
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: of enjoyment. Because listen to me, that's what happened, what
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: he supposed to happen. What abouty smiling after they ask shippers,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: don't you I bet you won't run your damn mouth?
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: No better be the last. But the banana sales is
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: dropping in New Mexico. People going, that's the guy that
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: banana got his ass. We're gonna great. Let me put
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: these back. You know what, people killed me. You always
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: want to do something then you don't want no consequences
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: for he threw it at him because he heckled his friend.
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: Who whoa If you say something today, they're gonna say
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: something that that's the comedy exchange, the throwing up on stage.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Get your ass. Yeah, I'm the full support of everything.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Now you can't enjoy life. You ain't posted. Wow, when
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: you're thinking about coming back, that was a banana split.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back. We'll be back with our
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: very last break of the day, Steve. I hope you
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: thought of closing remarks. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve, we are here with our
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good day,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: a fun day. You have the day off yesterday and
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: now you're back in rare form with break today. Um.
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: I was thinking of something. That's another jewel that has
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: really helped me in my quest and it's about my
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: dreams and my goals, and I was wanted to share
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: this with you today. Uh. One of the greatest dangers, uh,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: for most of us, it's not that our aim is
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: too high and we miss it, but that is too
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: low and we reach it. Can I say that to
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: you again? This is actually a quote from Michael Angelo.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: He said, the greatest danger for most of us is
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: not that our aim is too high and we miss it,
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: but that is too low and we reach it. That's crazy, man.
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: My father used to say something to me all the time,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: very similar. He says, son, aim for the moon, because
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: if you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars. And
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: that's pretty much the same thing that he's saying. That
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: the greatest danger for most of us. It's not that
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: our aim is too high and we miss it, but
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: that is too low and we reach it. Let me
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: explain something to you about low aspirations and low goals.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: When you reach a low aspiration and a low goal
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: and there's nothing after that, you think you've arrived, you
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: think you're there. You actually get comfortable. Man, I made it,
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: when in essence, there's so much more to life to live,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: so much more that you could accomplish if you would
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: just reset your goals and aspiration. I remember, man, a
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: long time ago, this dude in my high school. He said, Man, all,
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: I want I know two dudes like this about a car?
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: He said, Man, all, I won't. Man, it's this grand Toreno. Man.
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: If I had a grand Toreno, Man, I wouldn't want
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: nothing else for his senior graduation. This dude's father gave
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: him a grand Toreno. It was like unbelievable in high school.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: Man nineteen seventy four Grand Toreno with the two windows
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: and the slits in the back. I was looking at
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: this like wow. Man, he drove it to the prom
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: to still had a brand new cars Father Boughty. I
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: saw him like twenty years later. You know, he had
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: the same car. He had the same car. It happened
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: to another dude. I knew, man that wanted this Cadillac. Man,
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: if I ever get this Cadillac, Man, this white Cadillac,
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: the red seats, Man, he got it. I saw him
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: years later, years later, I don't really remember how many,
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: and he still had the same car, always beat to hell.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: But he had the same car because that was his
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: aspiration and he reached it. But when he reached it,
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: he got comfortable. I got it, and he quit wanting more.
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: He quit reaching for higher things. You have to reassess
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: your life constantly, man, because you're going to continue to live.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: You have to aspire to something that requires God's help.
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: Quit wanting and reaching for stuff that you can do.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: Why would you say to yourself, man, if I could
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: just get me a used car, if I could give
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: me a nineteen eighty five maximum. Really really get your money,
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: save your money, and go on and get it. But
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: if that's your only goal and you get it, where
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: you go from now you are never too old to
