- 1:43Speaker 1: turn them out. Then turn the water the water. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your fabdad, Uh huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. Y'are listening to the voice. Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, okay,
- 2:18Speaker 1: here's what I want to share with you. Stop complaining.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So I had to let you see how I let
- 2:29Speaker 1: that one sit for a second. Stop complaining. Do you
- 2:37Speaker 1: realize without us even thinking about it, oftentimes we just
- 2:44Speaker 1: complain about stuff and it comes up in such subtle forms. Man,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I don't know why they're still letting that lady work there. Man,
- 2:56Speaker 1: If they don't fire this woman, man, I don't know
- 2:58Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. She driving me crazy. She always
- 3:02Speaker 1: got something to say. I bet to day though, the
- 3:09Speaker 1: way I'm feeling right now, I bet she'd been not
- 3:11Speaker 1: saying nothing to me today. M yeah, yeah, because day
- 3:17Speaker 1: it today it. I'm sick of her running her mouth.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Last time she says something to me, I should have
- 3:24Speaker 1: said something to it. You know what I'm saying. I'm
- 3:27Speaker 1: just giving you a small example of how it starts
- 3:31Speaker 1: to snowball once you start to complain. It's it just
- 3:37Speaker 1: carries over into so many things. Man, Stop complaining about
- 3:41Speaker 1: your car, Stop complaining about your bus pass, Stop complaining
- 3:45Speaker 1: about your kids. Can't seem to get it together, Stop
- 3:48Speaker 1: complaining about your man, can't seem to get it together.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Stop complaining. Stop Have you noticed? I'm just asking, have
- 3:59Speaker 1: you noticed that in all of your complaining, it has
- 4:03Speaker 1: provided not one solution. The reason I'm telling you to
- 4:09Speaker 1: stop complaining because God is able. Because God is capable.
- 4:17Speaker 1: He is capable and able of fixing anything, capable and
- 4:24Speaker 1: able of curing anything, capable and able of allowing you
- 4:31Speaker 1: to get too adjusting to things, and capable and able
- 4:39Speaker 1: to strengthen you to get through and change anything. But
- 4:46Speaker 1: the key here is God is capable, and God is able.
- 4:51Speaker 1: A lot of times I find myself complaining because I
- 4:55Speaker 1: have not used my greatest asset. And that's my relationship
- 5:00Speaker 1: with God. You all have one. Now. You may not
- 5:03Speaker 1: have nurtured it, but you have one because God created
- 5:06Speaker 1: you as you as his child. He's available to you now.
- 5:10Speaker 1: The fact that you ain't went to him. Okay, once again,
- 5:13Speaker 1: who fathers that? Stop complaining until you strengthen your relationship
- 5:21Speaker 1: with God and formulate this relationship. You don't have enough weapons.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You ain't got a big enough shield to fight this
- 5:32Speaker 1: thing called life. It just keeps coming. Man, And unless
- 5:37Speaker 1: you develop a relationship with God, you need a partner
- 5:40Speaker 1: in all of this. Maybe you got another route you're
- 5:43Speaker 1: gonna take. But every successful person I know personally has
- 5:52Speaker 1: a relationship with God. I have some really really some
- 5:59Speaker 1: people that's kind of up there in the success term
- 6:02Speaker 1: in terms of business and money and statue. I'm just
- 6:06Speaker 1: talking about that portion of success. And then I have
- 6:09Speaker 1: a lot of people who are very successful in their
- 6:12Speaker 1: spiritual life, who have become great men of God and
- 6:16Speaker 1: women of God. But look at all of them, and
- 6:21Speaker 1: all of them have substantial amounts of you know, possessions
- 6:27Speaker 1: and things like that. Also, most successful people I know
- 6:31Speaker 1: have that even if you saw them never with a
- 6:35Speaker 1: big lot of house and a lot of money or
- 6:37Speaker 1: stuff like that. They had so much respect, so much love,
- 6:44Speaker 1: so much power was given them from people that their
- 6:49Speaker 1: life was rich in that area, you know, like a
- 6:54Speaker 1: man Nu the king or something like that, or Gandhi
- 6:56Speaker 1: or somebody who lived their life in service or their
- 7:00Speaker 1: Mandela who came out and just man, people put stuff
- 7:03Speaker 1: at their feet because of their service. So all successful
- 7:06Speaker 1: people I know have that, Every last one of these
- 7:09Speaker 1: people that I know, they have relationship with God. They
- 7:14Speaker 1: used the tool that was available to them to give
- 7:18Speaker 1: them the strength, the bullets, the arrows, the slings, the
- 7:22Speaker 1: shield to fight this thing called life and have the
- 7:25Speaker 1: most valuable partner right there by their side. They heavily
- 7:28Speaker 1: father God because he will help you get through this
- 7:31Speaker 1: thing called life. Man, stop complaining all the time. It's
- 7:34Speaker 1: not fixing anything. Why don't you do yourself a favor
- 7:37Speaker 1: and strengthen your relationship with God? Man? Why can I
- 7:41Speaker 1: never get over? Well you have not because you ask not. Man,
- 7:44Speaker 1: how come I always got problems? Well, you keep trying
- 7:47Speaker 1: to solve them yourself and taking them to your friends.
- 7:50Speaker 1: You keep trying to do them with your own thought process.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Who are you? I keep telling you, man, You're going
- 7:56Speaker 1: through stuff you ain't got no business going through. And
- 8:01Speaker 1: if it's you going through something over and over and
- 8:03Speaker 1: over and over and the same problem keep coming back
- 8:05Speaker 1: to bite you again, all that's saying is you still
- 8:10Speaker 1: ain't strengthen your relationship with God. It's your relationship. He's
- 8:13Speaker 1: not gonna make you have one with him. He is
- 8:16Speaker 1: a perfect gentleman. He only comes into your life when
- 8:20Speaker 1: you invite him in. But for those who do invite him, men,
- 8:26Speaker 1: they have a distinct advantage on their road to success,
- 8:29Speaker 1: a distinct advantage. You can do it without him. Trust me,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you can. How far you get. I can't promise you nothing,
- 8:38Speaker 1: how well you handle it when you arrived there, I
- 8:41Speaker 1: can't promise you nothing. How long you're gonna stay there,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I can't promise you nothing. How difficult it's going to
- 8:49Speaker 1: be without him, I can't give you that. It's going
- 8:52Speaker 1: to be far more difficult. But you can. Something can happen,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and you know, receive a measure of success, and you think,
- 8:59Speaker 1: is you this move you made, And you can describe
- 9:02Speaker 1: it as I got lucky. I happened to be in
- 9:04Speaker 1: the right place at the right time. I got lucky.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Lucky is usually how other people describe other people's success poor.
- 9:13Speaker 1: He was lucky. He was right there. Well, let me
- 9:16Speaker 1: tell you what luck is. Luck is when hard work
- 9:18Speaker 1: bumps up into opportunity. If you've been working hard as something,
- 9:22Speaker 1: an opportunity presents itself that comes a match. That's not luck.
- 9:28Speaker 1: But now, if you haven't done that on a repetitive
- 9:30Speaker 1: enough basis, that opportunity could present itself one time. You
- 9:37Speaker 1: got to reconnect. Stop complaining, man, come on, listen to me.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Stop complaining. It hasn't fixed a single thing in your life.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And if you're a chronic complainer, it's because you really
- 9:46Speaker 1: really have not fixed your relationship with God. He's smooth
- 9:50Speaker 1: it out for you. That I can tell you for
- 9:52Speaker 1: a fact. I know that for a fact he smooved
- 9:54Speaker 1: mine out. All right, let's go. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, man,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I have it. You know what I'm looking for? Your attention.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey morning showing full effect. Good morning, Shirley, Good morning,
- 10:13Speaker 1: Steve Carlin for real, Hello, dollings that damn junior, my
- 10:17Speaker 1: mentor uncle, Steve Man, nephew, Tommy filthy rich uncle, what
- 10:24Speaker 1: it dude with it? Damn here man doing real, well
- 10:27Speaker 1: blessed and highly favored. I'm I'm gonna just saying that, Steve,
- 10:31Speaker 1: because people are thinking that you're just like right now,
- 10:36Speaker 1: you're waking up in the hallway with a bottle. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I don't know. I wish they tuned into the radio show.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I know, you know, Oh, I wish they come to
- 10:44Speaker 1: family feud. Yeah you know, I mean they thank you
- 10:48Speaker 1: and the dog just flicking the light on it all. No, no, see,
- 10:52Speaker 1: listen to me, and I'd like to say this a
- 10:54Speaker 1: few times a day. Listen to me. God is working
- 11:00Speaker 1: on my behalf. This is something that I'm prepared for.
- 11:05Speaker 1: God never put you in a situation without preparing you
- 11:09Speaker 1: for it. See, this is new news to everybody else.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I've known this for eight months. I'm prepared, and I'm
- 11:17Speaker 1: actually in a great place. You know. The news that
- 11:21Speaker 1: his talk show counseled that they got Melissa Cartney to
- 11:23Speaker 1: do little big shots. I don't, I don't well whoever
- 11:28Speaker 1: that is. I mean, I'm cool, you know, first of all,
- 11:32Speaker 1: let's just let's just everybody calmed down. Steve Harvey in
- 11:36Speaker 1: great shape. Man, I'm I'm positioned right what God wants
- 11:39Speaker 1: me to be. Well, I am also the owner of
- 11:43Speaker 1: Little Big Shots, and I'm also the executive producer of
- 11:47Speaker 1: A Little Big Shot. You I'm not holding your face.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I'm not hosting it, but I'm the owner and I'm
- 11:55Speaker 1: the EP of the show. You can't take that, okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: So you know you're you have you know you have to.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I'm just not hosting it anymore. Well, Steve, that's all
- 12:05Speaker 1: you know. It's okay, But Steve, you have to understand that.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And we tell you this a lot that they may
- 12:11Speaker 1: not come directly at you. You may see it on
- 12:13Speaker 1: social media or something, but people actually text us, they
- 12:16Speaker 1: actually call it, They actually stop us on the street
- 12:20Speaker 1: okay and ask us about you and what is going on.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So I want them to hear it from your mouth
- 12:28Speaker 1: because it's almost like they don't believe us when he's fine,
- 12:31Speaker 1: It's all good, don't We could say it several times
- 12:35Speaker 1: today and spread the good news. The good news is
- 12:40Speaker 1: God got me right here, right where he want me.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And I want everybody to know this. I saw this
- 12:49Speaker 1: coming eight months ago. God saw it coming years ago.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, and he prepared his boy for
- 12:56Speaker 1: this day. I knew all this was coming, So all
- 12:58Speaker 1: this new news that people is now circulating. Some people
- 13:02Speaker 1: celebrating it, some people want to have something to say.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm okay with you either way you want to handle it,
- 13:08Speaker 1: but just know this, I'm in better shape today than
- 13:13Speaker 1: I was a year ago. I've been in my talk
- 13:16Speaker 1: show seven years. We know. I've told him all this. Yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 1: we're talking here. Bottom line, you're fine and coming up
- 13:29Speaker 1: at thirty two after the hour you want to you
- 13:31Speaker 1: want to finish talking about this, or you're you're ready
- 13:34Speaker 1: to move on, Steve, we do whatever y'all want to do. Y'all,
- 13:36Speaker 1: y'all got some questions from me, I do questions. All right, Well,
- 13:39Speaker 1: let's talk about old school relationship advice that needs to
- 13:43Speaker 1: be revised. Yeah, uh huh, okay, all right, we'll do that.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Uh right after this at thirty two after the hour
- 13:52Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Old school relationship advice means well
- 13:58Speaker 1: most of the time, but some of it is out
- 14:01Speaker 1: of touch and should become a thing of the past.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Some of these rules or tips need to be redefined
- 14:06Speaker 1: and clarified for the time we live in now. This
- 14:09Speaker 1: is according to psychologist doctor Joshua Clapale. For example, clap
- 14:15Speaker 1: Clapal For example, Steve the old cliche and this is biblical,
- 14:22Speaker 1: don't go to bed angry. Doctor clap Howe says, we've
- 14:27Speaker 1: heard this classic, but it's unrealistic, and sometimes going to
- 14:31Speaker 1: bed mad and sleeping on it is better. What do
- 14:34Speaker 1: you say, Well, I don't know what were you with that.
- 14:38Speaker 1: I wish we could go to bed and not be mad.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I really do, right, I don't. Nobody won't go to
- 14:43Speaker 1: bed mad. You know you got to sleep back to
- 14:47Speaker 1: each other. Somebody roll over and touch you. You jumping?
- 14:51Speaker 1: You don't damn foot off. Nobody wants that. I think
- 14:56Speaker 1: it's better to do that. Now is it realistic to
- 14:58Speaker 1: expect not to ever go to bed? Man? Now, don't
- 15:01Speaker 1: think it is. That's what he's saying. But that show
- 15:04Speaker 1: included to go to bed man. We're gonna be up
- 15:08Speaker 1: or you wake up mad. Let me tell you something
- 15:11Speaker 1: that you know. I hate that if you let a
- 15:14Speaker 1: woman go to bed man she wake up, she gonna
- 15:18Speaker 1: be just as mad or mad because she'd have thought
- 15:21Speaker 1: about some most stuff. Yeah, now duds wake up and go, hey, baby,
- 15:26Speaker 1: how you doing? How the hell you think? How was
- 15:29Speaker 1: our last night? When you shut your eyes? Exactly? Yeah?
- 15:33Speaker 1: So no, I think he's wrong about that. It's not healthy,
- 15:37Speaker 1: all right, Doctor clip House says, you can change them.
- 15:42Speaker 1: He says it's a romantic idea, the old cliche, you
- 15:45Speaker 1: can change them. But he points out, it's not your
- 15:48Speaker 1: responsibility to change anyone, right. I agree with him. It's
- 15:53Speaker 1: not your job to change anyone, nor don't you nor
- 15:55Speaker 1: do you have the ability? Right, that's something that women have.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I mean, we may as well admit that we're always
- 16:01Speaker 1: trying to change. And I think it's the nurturer in us.
- 16:05Speaker 1: We always Yeah, we all change him. Yeah, I change.
- 16:08Speaker 1: I know he's like that right now. But once he
- 16:10Speaker 1: gave me six months, yeah, yeah, let me work on. Yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I got this. You're gonna have to work at every
- 16:17Speaker 1: day though, work every day. I changed to do it
- 16:20Speaker 1: every day. Yeah. But by women are all right, here's
- 16:24Speaker 1: another one. Some people never change. That's the cliche, the
- 16:29Speaker 1: old school cliche. Doctor cliff House says, on the flip side,
- 16:32Speaker 1: the suggestion that someone is incapable of changing is wrong,
- 16:36Speaker 1: and it ignores the fact that we all have control
- 16:40Speaker 1: over our choices. So I absolutely agree with that. That's
- 16:44Speaker 1: one He's only said one thing I didn't agree with.
- 16:48Speaker 1: And that was the first one. Yeah, I agree with that.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You don't go to behead will change. Yeah, people change, man,
- 16:54Speaker 1: all right all the time. Here's another one. Old school
- 16:56Speaker 1: love will keep you together. Love keep you together. He says.
- 17:01Speaker 1: This works in an old romantic movie, but in real
- 17:05Speaker 1: life it takes a lot more than love to make
- 17:09Speaker 1: it work. Whoa, what love got to do? Yeah, got
- 17:16Speaker 1: to do with it? What love but a second handed move?
- 17:24Speaker 1: We try to take it up, gotta do it. Ain't
- 17:27Speaker 1: got nothing to do with it, man. Yeah, you gotta
- 17:31Speaker 1: honor that commitment. You got to compromise love, understanding, take
- 17:37Speaker 1: the blame, not be right all the time? Why, yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: on it. It never worked for me never. All right,
- 17:51Speaker 1: here's Julie. No, it's that love thing. I told her
- 17:53Speaker 1: I love her. But my replacement was at the dome
- 17:57Speaker 1: when your I'm just like, who is this Chris Week
- 18:00Speaker 1: going to dinner? You ain't I love you? Though? To
- 18:03Speaker 1: the left to the left through Yeah, it's almost like
- 18:11Speaker 1: what you've grown up now you're for now? Yeah, you're
- 18:14Speaker 1: good now? Yeah that was back. Yeah, we've all been
- 18:17Speaker 1: through some things. Yea. Tho it up to the game, Yes,
- 18:22Speaker 1: all right, Old school love will keep I mean, know
- 18:25Speaker 1: your role in the relationship. That's old school. Doctor clapp
- 18:28Speaker 1: Howe says, forget this old gender stereotype and remember there's
- 18:33Speaker 1: not a required way for you to act. Your role
- 18:36Speaker 1: in a relationship shouldn't always be the same. It's constantly shifting.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I missed it. No, your role in the relationship. That's
- 18:48Speaker 1: old school thinking. Okay, Doctor clip Howe says, forget this
- 18:52Speaker 1: old gender stereotype and remember there is not a required
- 18:56Speaker 1: way for you to act. That's new schooling. He says,
- 19:01Speaker 1: your role in a relationship isn't going to be the
- 19:03Speaker 1: same all the time. It's constantly changing. And that's a
- 19:06Speaker 1: good thing, that's what he's saying. He says, it'll shift organically, Yeah,
- 19:15Speaker 1: and that's a good thing. You think your role should
- 19:17Speaker 1: stay the same in a relationship, Well, I mean I
- 19:20Speaker 1: think I think your roles have to be defined so
- 19:25Speaker 1: that everybody has an understanding of positioning. And then I
- 19:30Speaker 1: think there has to be some type of all give
- 19:34Speaker 1: and take or sometimes the other person can do that.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I'm not saying like roles like you do all the cleaning.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I I'm not talking about that. Yeah, but if you're
- 19:43Speaker 1: good with money, yeah, do that anything. Yeah, I mean
- 19:47Speaker 1: you know that. And if you either side, if you
- 19:50Speaker 1: role playing, then your roles changed. Like you know, I
- 19:53Speaker 1: might be bad man one night, you know what I'm saying,
- 19:56Speaker 1: but then next night I might be in credible hook.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Your roles you change organically, right, nephew,
- 20:04Speaker 1: Organic organically and realistically you're neither one. All right, here's
- 20:12Speaker 1: old school. You should stay with them for better or
- 20:14Speaker 1: for worse, he says. He says. We all want to
- 20:19Speaker 1: think our partner will stick around no matter what. But
- 20:22Speaker 1: if a relationship is unhealthy, you don't. You don't need
- 20:25Speaker 1: to stick it out. Os get out, all right, we
- 20:32Speaker 1: do have to get out. Coming up next, nephew, Tommy
- 20:35Speaker 1: is gonna run that prank back right after this. You're
- 20:39Speaker 1: listening to show coming up at the top of the
- 20:43Speaker 1: hour and Entertainment news, over one million people watched Beyonce's
- 20:48Speaker 1: Netflix premier and Little Na's Ex Loves Kevin Kanye's daughter
- 20:53Speaker 1: Northwest Old Town Road video. I loved it too, But
- 20:56Speaker 1: right now the nephew is in the building to run
- 20:59Speaker 1: that prank. That what you got new problems at the valet,
- 21:06Speaker 1: That's what we have chirltte. We have problems at a valet.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Let's run that if you would thank you. Hello, Hey,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I'm going Hey Tommy, how's it going? Hey? Man, what's
- 21:21Speaker 1: going on? You're doing all right? I'm doing good, doing good?
- 21:24Speaker 1: What's up? Hey? Listen? I need you to do something
- 21:26Speaker 1: for me. But you need your your your cartels us.
- 21:30Speaker 1: No no no, no, no no no no not because we listen.
- 21:32Speaker 1: If I got someone want you to do for me,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm doing a plank phone call, and I want you
- 21:35Speaker 1: to call this guy and tell him you're the valet downstairs,
- 21:39Speaker 1: ask him for his ticket number and tell him, hey,
- 21:42Speaker 1: we got a little bit of an issue. But my
- 21:43Speaker 1: my manager's gonna call you back. Uh. Are you sure
- 21:46Speaker 1: you want me to do it? You're the ballet guy,
- 21:49Speaker 1: that's all you gotta do? S right? What is the
- 21:51Speaker 1: Mexican guy? Gotta be a de valet guy and you
- 21:54Speaker 1: get to be the manager? What's up with that? I'm
- 21:57Speaker 1: putting click over Nick the car. All I want you
- 21:59Speaker 1: to do is telling you new ballet guy? Will you
- 22:02Speaker 1: do that for me? All right? Man? I got you?
- 22:04Speaker 1: All right? All right? All right? Hang on, hang on hello? Hello?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Is this mister Franklin? Yes, can I ask us calling?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Oh yes, UM, I'm I'm Orlando with Ballet. Did you

- 22:25Speaker 1: And UM, once you get the ticket number, I could

- 22:33Speaker 1: But why do you Why do you need my ticket number?

- 23:05Speaker 1: there's no details that you can give me about anything
- 23:06Speaker 1: with my car. Like I said, my manager won't handle it.

- 25:05Speaker 1: and we can try to work come now and just
- 25:07Speaker 1: see it. You know, No, there is no way I'm
- 25:10Speaker 1: coming by tomorrow for a car that's listening today. First
- 25:13Speaker 1: of all, we need to get the police involved. In this.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I don't even know mister Frank. Right now, mister Frank,

- 30:22Speaker 1: to the song, which was really cute, captioning it what
- 30:27Speaker 1: we do on maternity leave. This is when Kim was
- 30:29Speaker 1: waiting for her Sarah Gate to have the baby. She

- 30:35Speaker 1: by North. Uh well, Little nas X loved it. He

- 32:40Speaker 1: because I used to do that, all of us attention always.
- 32:46Speaker 1: But remember when they used to call you in the
- 32:47Speaker 1: room to dance. There you go and do something the
- 32:52Speaker 1: parties they would have Maybe I should have waited for
- 32:54Speaker 1: the call and my mom too early. Yeah, my mom
- 32:58Speaker 1: would have busted me out like that. All right, Steve,
- 33:01Speaker 1: we gotta go headlines please, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Ann
- 33:04Speaker 1: tripp Nah, thank you very much, and good morning everybody
- 33:07Speaker 1: out there. This is an trip with the News in Washington.
- 33:09Speaker 1: The Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Lindsay Graham,
- 33:13Speaker 1: says he's going to introduce a bill aimed at slowing
- 33:15Speaker 1: the migration of Central Americans being apprehended at the southern
- 33:19Speaker 1: border now Santa Graham says the situation calls for a
- 33:22Speaker 1: different approach and fast. No matter how high the wall
- 33:26Speaker 1: will be built, no matter how many drones you have,
- 33:29Speaker 1: no matter how many agents you put at the border,
- 33:32Speaker 1: they'll keep coming because they want to get caught. So
- 33:36Speaker 1: he says his measure would speed up the asylum process
- 33:38Speaker 1: by sending unaccompanied minors back quicker, while forcing people to
- 33:42Speaker 1: apply for asylum in their own countries and not in
- 33:45Speaker 1: this one. Graham also says he's willing to work with
- 33:47Speaker 1: the Democrats on the bill because, as he puts it,
- 33:49Speaker 1: it's quote time to close the fawcet. President Trump, meanwhile,
- 33:53Speaker 1: says he intends to announce his own immigration plan later today,
- 33:55Speaker 1: and it's focused. They say, we'll be on reducing family
- 33:58Speaker 1: based immigration in lieu of employment or skills based immigration.
- 34:05Speaker 1: In laws came here just last year. Right abortion rights
- 34:09Speaker 1: activists are promising to muster up a legal fight against
- 34:11Speaker 1: the measures, sign into law late yesterday by Alabama's Republican
- 34:15Speaker 1: the Governor k Ivy. It restricts all abortions whenever they occur.
- 34:19Speaker 1: It mandates a ninety nine year life or life sentence
- 34:23Speaker 1: in jail for any physician performing an abortion, and there
- 34:26Speaker 1: are no exceptions for rape or incests. The Alabama abortion
- 34:30Speaker 1: laws now the most restrictive anti abortion legislation in the
- 34:33Speaker 1: country passed by any state, by the way, in the
- 34:35Speaker 1: forty six years since the Supreme Court legalized the procedure
- 34:38Speaker 1: at nationwide. Again, abortion rights activists say they're going to
- 34:42Speaker 1: be mustering up a serious legal fight to get rid
- 34:44Speaker 1: of this one Republican sentiment. Romney broke with the President
- 34:47Speaker 1: and the rest of his party, even voting this week
- 34:49Speaker 1: against the confirmation of a federal judge who once referred
- 34:52Speaker 1: to President Obama as an Unamerican impostor. Romney was the
- 34:56Speaker 1: only member of the GOP to break ranks by not
- 34:59Speaker 1: voting to seat this guy, Michael trun Kale on the
- 35:01Speaker 1: US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The
- 35:04Speaker 1: Republican dominated Senate nevertheless approved Trunkale on a forty nine
- 35:07Speaker 1: to forty six vote, making him the one hundred and
- 35:10Speaker 1: thirteenth Trump nominated judge to win confirmation. One hundred and
- 35:15Speaker 1: thirteenth in Texas, the Dallas Police Department raided the headquarters
- 35:19Speaker 1: of the Catholic Diocese in two buildings yesterday, all in
- 35:22Speaker 1: search of documents related to child sex abuse allegations, allegations
- 35:26Speaker 1: made last August against the priest at Mundo Pereiras and others.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Major Max Sharon of the Dallas PD says there's a
- 35:32Speaker 1: warrant out for Father Pereiras. They are new allegations that
- 35:36Speaker 1: became apparent to us that were made to us following
- 35:41Speaker 1: the announcement of the charges against mister frets that they're
- 35:44Speaker 1: looking for. And finally today is don't believe those rumors.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Day arming every day. Back to the Steve Harby Morning Show.
- 35:52Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, So it looks like
- 35:56Speaker 1: Zion Williamson is New Orleans back owned um. The New
- 36:01Speaker 1: Orleans Pelicans won the number one draft pick in the
- 36:05Speaker 1: NBA lottery. Williamson is widely considered the top player available.
- 36:10Speaker 1: The Memphis Grizzlies got the number two pick and the
- 36:13Speaker 1: New York Knicks will pick third. The NBA draft takes
- 36:16Speaker 1: place on June twentieth. Is that true, Junior? Absolutely true?
- 36:21Speaker 1: And he will be the number one pick and you'll
- 36:23Speaker 1: be watching your Absolutely. Does Anthony Davis gonna stay with
- 36:26Speaker 1: New or They still want to leave? No matter what
- 36:29Speaker 1: Anthony Davis want to leave. Still, where do you think
- 36:32Speaker 1: Anthony Davis will go? And he's trying to get LA
- 36:34Speaker 1: but he's not gonna get that. They're not gonna set him.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Why they don't want to pay the question? I don't
- 36:39Speaker 1: think they. I don't think they want to pay him.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Who don't want to pay? Not with the Lakers. The
- 36:45Speaker 1: Lakers don't want to pay. You gonna play Lebron and
- 36:48Speaker 1: him max money? So you think they could trade Lebron
- 36:51Speaker 1: to New Orleans? Could that be possible? Dog? The whole
- 36:54Speaker 1: thing was they was trying to get Anthony Davis dead.
- 36:57Speaker 1: They was gonna ship everybody out for Anthony Davis. That's
- 37:00Speaker 1: messed the season. I'll talk about the free agent. I'll
- 37:02Speaker 1: just talk about free agent. They're gonna be a peep
- 37:04Speaker 1: him and Lebron, not Mac. This is deep, Like I
- 37:12Speaker 1: really feel bad for Lebron because yeah, I do. I
- 37:16Speaker 1: feel bad for Lebron because he's had such a stellar
- 37:20Speaker 1: career and I don't want him to end it up
- 37:22Speaker 1: on a mediocre team like they got out in LA
- 37:25Speaker 1: right now, And I knew he shouldn't have went there.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I was dead set against it. And then Magic then left.
- 37:32Speaker 1: What you're the whole reason he came And right now
- 37:35Speaker 1: it's just a mess out there, and I don't see
- 37:38Speaker 1: him fixing it no time soon. They ain't got no
- 37:40Speaker 1: draft pick, man, So you know, I feel bad for Lebron. Man,
- 37:48Speaker 1: go ahead call him. This is Kyrie, Irvin's fault from
- 37:52Speaker 1: the very beginning. Kyrie, Kyrie's only hope. What would be
- 38:01Speaker 1: the greatest turnaround if he went out to La La
- 38:05Speaker 1: and just say, hey, man, I'm gonna go back. I'm sorry. Ready,
- 38:08Speaker 1: he already said I'm sorry to Lebron. Yeah, he already said, Oh,
- 38:13Speaker 1: he apologized, he said, man, I'm sorry, man, he said, look,
- 38:17Speaker 1: I did not know what you were going through. But
- 38:20Speaker 1: trying to be a leader. It's harder than I thought.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I apologize, man, And that's what it is. Like I
- 38:26Speaker 1: tell people all the time, you know you want to
- 38:28Speaker 1: get out under the shadow. Yeah, well I got news
- 38:30Speaker 1: for your pardon. Shadow was actually shade. You know. Oh man,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you ain't You ain't got to glare on you. If
- 38:40Speaker 1: Kyrie went to La would be the story of stories. Wow.
- 38:44Speaker 1: All right? Coming up next at thirty four after the
- 38:47Speaker 1: hour Trending entertainment news, lamar Odom says he's a sex
- 38:51Speaker 1: addict and has had sex with over two thousand women.
- 38:55Speaker 1: All right, we'll get into it right after this. You're
- 38:58Speaker 1: listening hard morning show X NBA basketball star lamar Odom
- 39:04Speaker 1: says he's addicted to sex and claims that he's had
- 39:08Speaker 1: sex with more than two thousand women. That's a lot. Yeah,
- 39:13Speaker 1: that's a lot of women. That's a lot. Yeah, I
- 39:15Speaker 1: think so it didn't. I don't care who you are
- 39:18Speaker 1: going to. That's a that's a big number. I think
- 39:21Speaker 1: it is rolling. But who's counting though? That's that's not
- 39:27Speaker 1: for me, that's not I mean, first of all, I
- 39:29Speaker 1: can't Yeah, but seven I ain't you know? Well, he says,
- 39:33Speaker 1: it includes Steve. I've seen two thousand women I've wanted
- 39:36Speaker 1: to do. No way, I've just counted up like that.
- 39:41Speaker 1: But anyway, He's say, you know, if you just go
- 39:43Speaker 1: by fine women, I've seen millions of fine women. But
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'm just saying that two thousand sleep with him. Wow,
- 39:49Speaker 1: that's a big number. A lot of that was groove
- 39:51Speaker 1: activity to I don't give a damn one single whatever.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Two thousand people, Yeah, that's a lot. And that includes

- 40:14Speaker 1: to count. I am a sex addict, Lamar Odom said
- 40:18Speaker 1: in an excerpt of his book. Also in the book,
- 40:20Speaker 1: Lamar admits he cheated on Chloe Kardashian during their marriage
- 40:25Speaker 1: and she found out. I was shocked and embarrassed, Lamar
- 40:29Speaker 1: told People Magazine. I wanted to take it back, but
- 40:32Speaker 1: you can't. You can't take that back. He said. I
- 40:34Speaker 1: wanted to hide it, but that sixth sin was hard
- 40:38Speaker 1: for me to hide. I had a problem Lamar. Lamar's
- 40:43Speaker 1: vices all came to a head at the Love Ranch
- 40:45Speaker 1: brothel back in Nevada in twenty fifteen. We all remember
- 40:49Speaker 1: this when he overdoes during a cocaine and booth fueled binge. Yeah,
- 40:56Speaker 1: and he said something about he would like, you know,
- 41:00Speaker 1: to get to a place where he and Chloe can
- 41:02Speaker 1: at least be friends. Now moving forward, that probably ain't
- 41:05Speaker 1: gonna have my home and just go ahead over Yeah,

- 41:32Speaker 1: try to be decent about that. You know. That's what
- 41:35Speaker 1: I say to men. Look, we I've made a lot
- 41:37Speaker 1: of mistakes in my life. At least apologize so so
- 41:41Speaker 1: a woman can feel a whole admit where you're wrong.
- 41:44Speaker 1: You know, man, allow a woman to be whold. Don't
- 41:46Speaker 1: don't be a dog about it and going about your
- 41:49Speaker 1: business and just leave alone, man, just leave alone. Just

- 41:55Speaker 1: took care of him, you know, she helped him get back,

- 42:05Speaker 1: had no children with that girl, and that girl right

- 53:17Speaker 1: got it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter subject.
- 53:20Speaker 1: I wish I didn't trust her so much. Here Stephen Shirley.
- 53:25Speaker 1: I am a twenty six year old man with two
- 53:28Speaker 1: children and a wonderful wife of four years. My wife
- 53:31Speaker 1: recently graduated from medical school and she's studying for her
- 53:35Speaker 1: certification exam, so she is not working right now. She
- 53:40Speaker 1: is at home studying most days, or she's on campus
- 53:43Speaker 1: with her study group. I had no problem with all
- 53:45Speaker 1: of the free time my wife had, nor did I
- 53:48Speaker 1: ever question her loyalty in our marriage until recently. I
- 53:53Speaker 1: was using her phone one day not too long ago,
- 53:55Speaker 1: and a text from Jarvis popped up, and the message was, yes,
- 54:00Speaker 1: I'll come by tomorrow for lunch. I asked my wife
- 54:04Speaker 1: who Jarvis is, and she told me that he's one
- 54:07Speaker 1: of her study partners and she's asked him to drop
- 54:10Speaker 1: by on his lunch break the next day to pick
- 54:13Speaker 1: up some notes. I would be at work, so this
- 54:16Speaker 1: bothered me, but I trust her and she assured me
- 54:21Speaker 1: that it was nothing. But now I have a real
- 54:24Speaker 1: problem with Jarvis because of what happened over the weekend
- 54:26Speaker 1: When my wife and I were having sex Right when
- 54:30Speaker 1: it got good, my wife asked me to stop and
- 54:34Speaker 1: she was crying. I asked her what was wrong, and
- 54:38Speaker 1: she told me that while we were having sex, she
- 54:41Speaker 1: could not stop thinking about Jarvis and it scared her.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I asked her if she had ever cheated on me
- 54:49Speaker 1: with a guy, and she swore that she'd never cheat,
- 54:53Speaker 1: but she wanted to let me know that she was
- 54:55Speaker 1: thinking of him in a sexual way and it made
- 54:58Speaker 1: her feel bad. I suggested that maybe they should stop
- 55:03Speaker 1: studying together, but she said, Jarvis is the smartest person
- 55:06Speaker 1: in their class, so she needs him. I pray that
- 55:10Speaker 1: she has not had sex with Jarvis in my house
- 55:12Speaker 1: in our bed. Steve, what do you think is going on?
- 55:15Speaker 1: Am I crazy? Or should I trust my wife? Give
- 55:19Speaker 1: it to me straight. Well, you should trust your wife
- 55:23Speaker 1: until you don't until there's a reason for you not
- 55:26Speaker 1: to trust her. And if ever there was a reason,
- 55:30Speaker 1: I think this is it. This man is coming by
- 55:34Speaker 1: the house when you're at work and it is just
- 55:36Speaker 1: the two of them there. I don't know. I know
- 55:42Speaker 1: a lot of relationships, especially married ones, if the wife
- 55:45Speaker 1: is alone at home. The husband doesn't want another man
- 55:49Speaker 1: in the house when he's not there. There is such
- 55:53Speaker 1: a thing as being too honest as well. I don't
- 55:55Speaker 1: even understand why she told you this. And when she
- 55:59Speaker 1: told you, oh mg, I mean, the timing couldn't have
- 56:03Speaker 1: been worse, you said, just when it got good, she
- 56:05Speaker 1: broke it down to youth. At first, I thought it
- 56:08Speaker 1: was maybe a fantasy, you know, just in her head.
- 56:10Speaker 1: She was thinking about Jarvis, but she got all in
- 56:13Speaker 1: her feelings, started crying and stuff. This is pretty serious
- 56:17Speaker 1: right here. I'm sorry, but I think you really have
- 56:20Speaker 1: cause for concern here. I just do. If she hasn't
- 56:23Speaker 1: done it already, she's definitely thinking about it, and she's
- 56:27Speaker 1: probably considered it. She spends a lot of time with him,
- 56:31Speaker 1: and he was responding to a text she made to him.
- 56:37Speaker 1: She asked him to come over on his lunch break.
- 56:39Speaker 1: He was responding saying, yes, I'll come by tomorrow for lunch.
- 56:43Speaker 1: So there's something going on and you definitely need to
- 56:47Speaker 1: get to the bottom of it. Steve, good, this is crazy.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Let's get down to the bottom. And this to him, Yeah, Steve,
- 57:00Speaker 1: what you think? Steve, what you think though? Because I'm
- 57:10Speaker 1: crazy or I trust my wife, give it to me straight,
- 57:15Speaker 1: all right? No, he his name, Ain't it in no
- 57:17Speaker 1: way rusty or nothing like that name. Right, I'm trying
- 57:22Speaker 1: to figure. You're twenty six year old man. You got
- 57:25Speaker 1: two beautiful kids wife for four years. Your wife graduated
- 57:29Speaker 1: from medical school and she's studying for her certification exam.
- 57:36Speaker 1: See certification exam. Let's keep that in mind. Might have
- 57:42Speaker 1: to come back and use that. So she ain't working
- 57:46Speaker 1: right now. She had the house most of the time,
- 57:53Speaker 1: she had the house in most days, so she on

- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Using the phone one day and got texting the damn
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: jobs job's name propped up. Message was yes, I come
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: by for lunch to the maw. I asked my wife,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: I said, you know who is jobs? When I suggested
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: that he should have said who the hell is? She
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: told me one of the study partners, and she asked
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: him to drop down on his lunch break the next
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: day pick up some notes and me and Tom was
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: talking on break. Who do that? Who got to come
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: by your house? Pick up a damn note? You could

- 1:01:10Speaker 1: That's rude number one, and your wife and broke it.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: You don't have no man in no another man's house
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: while he had work or nowhere else. You don't have
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: another man in a man's house, no more than I
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: can have another woman in my house. Can no women
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: over here doing services? And Madre ain't hire part It's crazy.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: So this bothered you. But I trust and she had
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: sewed me that nothing, that it was nothing. But now
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I got a real problem with Jarvis because it would
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: have over weekend. Man, my wife was having sex y'all
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: in that job. You let me go? Yeah, you got
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: two kids? Yeah, yeah, right right when it got good,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: my wife asked me to stop, and she was crying,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: what baby, what's wrong? I asked her what was wrong?
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: She told me to why we was having sex. She
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: couldn't stop thinking about Javis, and it scared her. All.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: We often to be scared, Na, Na jovis too. It's
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: scared you. I'm scared you feel to be most scared.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Javis asked for to get tight. I asked if she
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: had ever cheated on me with the guy. She swore
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: she never cheat, but she wanted to let me know
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: that she was thinking of him in a sexual way
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: and it made her feel bad. I suggested that maybe
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: they should stop study that you suggested, see your words,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: ain't who is Jovis? See all that then changed to
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: who the f is? Jobs? Too nice? And then this
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: right here. I suggested that maybe they should stop studying together,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: but she said Javis is the smartest person in their class.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: So she Hey, let me tell you something, Javis ain't
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: that damn smart. See jobs, mister mess rod Jovis if
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: you can get hit a well being so damned smart,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: she needs him. You need him so much that you're
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: thinking about him sexually. Where we having sex? You don't
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: stop me? And now you cry hell far hole love
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: hole love. I pray that she has not had sex
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: with Javis in my house, in our bed women on
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: a thump. I don't give a damn where she didn't
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: have sex. I don't give a damn if it's on
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the steps. I don't give a damn if it's on
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: the welcome matt at the dough into the house. The
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: fact that you think her and Javis may have had sex,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: that's a enough. Now in the house, it's just gonna
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: it's gonna worse than the ass QUI, Steve, what do
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you think te mention your name in it. It's time
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: to go see Jobs. Yeah, she's time to go see Jarvis.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you why. And I'm serious about
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: this too, because he Jarvis needs to get a visit
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: from the man whose house he's so comfortable going over.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Because I'm gonna tell you right now, man, ain't no

- 1:04:35Speaker 1: he Javis is comfortable enough to come over here, then
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: he ought to be comfortable enough for me coming over there.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Javis been over my house? Why can't I come over Jarvis? Yeah?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Now all is you crying because you're thinking about him?
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Now we've finning addressed this at the house too. Why

- 1:08:00Speaker 1: and we need a boy band with different type. We
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: need a band with different type of boys in it.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: When we was growing up Suny Scribeberries, there was different
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: people in the band that we love. Even a Switch
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: had different people. The Temptations is an original boy band.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Stop buying. The del Phonics is an original boy band.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Bang in the day, we loved the boy band. So
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: come on, America. I'm not against these little Korean boys.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: I just need a band with I can't mess with
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: nobody with a skinny pass. If my arm can't fit
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: in your slacks, we cannot be together. I can't scream
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: for you. So I need us to make a boy band.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I like Beyond the Scene, but damn that I thought

- 1:09:41Speaker 1: we talked about this last week. Kirk and Rashida they
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: hosted that couple's retreat where they you know, they all
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: went to the cabin and Kirk and Rashida want to
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: give advice to the couples. And we found out Rashida
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: cheated on Kirk back in the day and early in
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: their relationship. I was like, what, I didn't believe that.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Who wrote the letter? Oh well she got all that
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: coming in and all that stuff. Kirt and Kirk got
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: babies and everything. Then you better talk to Steve. Well,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: they decided to. That's what she said. She cheated early
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: in their relationship. But they they decided to forgive each other,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: and they were giving advice to the other couples so
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: they can work on their relationships. Uh, MESSI, Carley, you
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: can say, yeah, I guess that's cool because you gotta
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: have gone through something to know something. That's what that
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: point was listening it. So, yeah, and they have children together,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: and obviously he had a child outside the marriage. But
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: you gotta give props to Rashida for forgiving her husband
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: and they're trying to make it work. Um, mess retreat
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: all of us, do you think? So we're gonna go
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: to Kevin. We're just gonna go to We're go to Kevin.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: We're just gonna go to Steve High. That is a retreat. Yeah,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: yeah it's nice. It's a resort. Yeah, it's a resort
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: over there. So anyway, let me get back to it.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: MESSI MESSI Carly. Um, she was about to fight Kendred
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: young Jock's girlfriend. It was real messy, and the people
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: in the house, all the couples and everybody there, they
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: called her out on it and they told Carly, you
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: know what, you real file, You're being real messy. It's
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: not necessary. So, uh, Carly kind of tried to pull
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: back a little bit. But anyway, her and her fiance,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Arkansas Mo. They're back together. Remember she Yeah, remember she
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: broke it off with him because he went, yeah, he
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: was so bad and fain. Okay, let me let me
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: toss it to you again, Steve. Carly Red and Arkansas
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Mo are back together. Yeah it girl child, you're right?
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Chip please yep. So anyway, that's hip Atlanta. Yeah, you
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: can say what you want to say, Steve. Yeah, it's
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: all good. And then let me tell you this. I'm
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: watching Real Housewives of Potomac. Are you watching it, Shirley? Yeah,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: I missed the first two, but yeah, okay, so you
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: gotta watch it. It just came back on. So if
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: everybody knows spoiler alerk, you gotta catch up, ladies with
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: watching Real Housewives Potomac. What what what are you saying?
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: Snack cheese? You're terrible? All right? I got good? Please? Yeah?
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Hit me up at lip Spark Carlo. We'll talk more
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: socially about Real Housewives of Potomac. We'll talk more about
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: love and hip hop Atlanta. Chip please. Steve Harvey will
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: be second twenty after you're listening to show how many
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: friends do you guys have I'm not talking about social
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: media friends. I'm talking about real friends. Now. According to
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: a new survey, the average American has about sixteen friends.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Of these sixteen friends, yeah yeah, this got no damn
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: sixteen Steve. This is according to a new survey. Yeah yeah,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: and they say of these they say, of these sixteen friends,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: three were described as friends for life, five were people
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: they really liked and would hang out with one on one,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: and the other eight were people the respondent said they
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: liked but would not spend time with them one on one.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: The survey also found that the average American adult has
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: made a new friend hasn't made a new friend in
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: five years. Because Steve, I gotta ask begs the question,
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: how many friends real friends do you have? Sixteen or less?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Probably got five? Five? You can kind them on one hand? Friends, Yeah,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: I'm talking about ride or did don't give a damn?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Let's go top five? Yeah, I'm talking about well with
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: it five? Maybe hard to make new friends at the
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: and I ain't made a friend at five years? How well?
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: At work? At work, Steve, that's where you are all
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: the time. How many friends you got, Tommy, I always
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: say three conversation when we come back. You play spade.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back. We'll pick this conversation up
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: when when we come back at thirty three after the hour.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Steve. We were talking
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: about how many friends do we have. There's a new
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: survey and it says that the average American has about
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: sixteen friends. Of those sixteen, it's impossible. Well, well, this
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: is how they break it down. Three were described as
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: friends for life, three you have for life. Five were
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: people you really liked and you would hang out with
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: one on one, and then the other eight were people
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: the respondents said they liked, but they wouldn't spend time
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: with them one on one. And that's not your friend. Yeah,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: that's you wouldn't consider that friend. People you really like
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: don't necessarily mean that your friend. Yeah, that's true as well. Yeah,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: and then they say the average American adult hasn't made
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: a new friend in five years. I know that. And
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: you know why why you don't have time to learn?
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Nobody else didn't learn you. Yeah. Yeah, And there's a
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: there's a trust factor. Yeah, you say something that's right,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: I can't believe. Yeah, you get quiet. I noticed you
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: get quiet but it was right. He was some point,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Yeah he was. You ain't got to have to learn nobody.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: But it sounds like with us, this group right here,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: we don't use that term loosely, like when I call
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: you a friend. Yeah, come on, yeah, yeah, I can
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: count on you no matter what. Yeah, that's just five
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: of them dudes in my world. I'm sixty two years old.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: And it's about loyalty too. It's and and and my
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: good ones didn't die. Yeah that's what's cold. But you know, look,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: I know, like my friends for life, Butcher Ricardo, so
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: you know, you look at Butcher Ricardo. I've been friends
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: with Manny since I was four. My best friend from
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: from college is Marvel Is Marvin Horton. We steal boys,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: do ride or doc. Yeah, I'm talking about Biggie Wig
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: okay and Blue. I'm talking about man, dudes that to
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: walk off the edge for you. Yeah yeah, Biggie Wig
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: and Blue prove Yeah yeah, they walk off the edge
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: for you. Man. Yeah, that ain't no lie. Yeah. You know,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Rickie Lewis could ask brother to man, but I got that.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: I called, like like Steve Perry, Perry, oh this is
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: my dude. Man, he could he climb down and hold it. Yeah,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: what do you call that group? That's after friends? But
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: they still cool with you? Like you know what I'm saying,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: But you're not in that top you're not in that five.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Well maybe it's levels of friends. Yeah, I think right,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I think that. I think that, And that's what they
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: were saying. Uh. Some people are with you right or
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: die and then others are I know, spend time with
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: them one on one, you know, Yeah, I think they're
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: different levels of friendship because I mean, you know, I
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: call them like New York like short for New York
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: a n y K. That's what I call. Just put
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: them in the n y K A group like New York.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: I know what he's saying, n y K y Um.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: All right, Well we'll be back with more of the
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, I know, coming up at forty nine.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: After it's some closing remarks coming up as well. Right
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show. All right, Steve, here
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: we are last break of the day. It's time for
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: your closing remarks. What you got, Steve? You know, we're
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: talking about friendship, and I want to say something about
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: it because I've actually found this to be true. In
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: my life. I don't know if this is a fact,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: but I've found it to be true. I don't know
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: how everybody else feels, but in my life, I've found
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: this to be true. That friendship is so important, man,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: It's such an essential component of life. I have found
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: that you can live without your father. There are people
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: who've never met that dad. I have found that you
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: can live without your mother. There are people who've never
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: met their mothers. There are people who've lost their mothers.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: I've lost my oldest brother. I've learned that I can
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: live without so many things, man, But you know the
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: one thing I found out that you cannot live in
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: this world without. You can't live in this world without
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: a friend. Man. Everybody has to have somebody that they
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: can run it by. I've just found that to be necessary. Now,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: Jesus can be your friend, I got that. But everybody
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: needs somebody you can run it by. I got that.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: There's an organization of men who understand it as well
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: as I've ever heard it put. There's a group of
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: men who live by a credence that friendship is essential
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: to the soul. That's such a true statement, man. I
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: ain't trying to push my belief of my thing on
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: nobody else but man, it's friendship really is essential to
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: the soul. In order for your soul to thrive, you
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: got to have somebody you can lean on, Somebody you
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: can call, Somebody you can run it by that won't
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: be judgmental. Somebody who is there with you, thick a
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: thin rider, die, Ace, Boon, Coon, Buzzard back buddy. You
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: got to have somebody you can pick up that phone
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: no matter what is going on, and when you pick
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: up the phone, they go, okay, I'll be over there.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: You got to have somebody that go, hey, man, don't
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: worry about that and start providing solutions for you. You
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: know how many people I've lost along the way, man,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: because it got hot and thick for me when I
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: called them up? Man, how could you do something like that? Women?
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Hold up, don't wait? Whoa pardner? I'm calling you because
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I hadn't done something like that, and I'm in trouble. Man.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: I need a out man. I can't believe you would
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: do something like that. Why you do that? Hey? Man?
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: I know I wasn't supposed to do it, but I
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: did it. Thought damn. Now I need a out, man,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: can you help me? I ain't got nothing for you. Man,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: you shouldn't have did okay? Cool? This ain't your friend?
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: Friendships are so necessary man. You often think about friendships
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: as though, and what makes them so valuable is you
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: get to choose them. You actually have a say. So
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: it's not like family. You're born with family, but your friends,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: you actually get to choose them. Somebody told me one
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: time is describe your five friends. Describe your five closest
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: people around you. Described in five people, You've just described
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: yourself because you surround yourself with like minded people. You
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: picked friends because you have something in common. I remember
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: my mintoring camp. One time I was mentoring this young
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: boy and he pulled out a picture. He said, I
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: gotta picture you and my daddy. I went what? And
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: it threw me off because my mintoring campus for young
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: boys who are from single parent homes, headed up by
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: women who don't have relationships to their father. He said,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: you and my father friends. I said what? Because it
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: startled me because I realized I don't have friends that
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: don't take care of their kids. I don't. I don't
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: have any friends who have forsaken their children. I don't
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: have any because we've talked, and the boy pulled out
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: a picture and I'll be dog gone. It was a
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: dude that when I lived in Texas we were friends. Now,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: we didn't stay in touch, but we were really cool.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: And when he showed me the picture, I was floored. Man.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I called my bodyguard boom Ring. I said, hey, man,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: you remember the dudes nomber Man? He said yeah, yeah,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I still gotta let me call it. I said, hey, man,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: come out to my ranch and get your son. I
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: what you're talking? Abong? Steve? What's up? Why are you
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: being no no, no no no? Your son out here? Man?
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Why is your son and my ranch? Why am I
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: feeding and housing and clothing your son this week at
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: my ranch? When I know you you got money? Whol
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: our Pardner? What's wrong with you? Man? You don't understand
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: his old lady man hold that, HI got all of that,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: But your son out here crying with a picture of
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: his daddy because he just missed his father. He came
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: out there and got his son. I said, whoa man?
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: Because I just don't have friends like that. You get
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: to select your friends. It's a selection process. Friendship is important.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Now you know what I've learned in my life. And
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: this would startle some of my male friends, but some
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: of them who get it get it. You know, my
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: best friend is actually my wife, and you know why
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: because she actually fulfills all the requirements that I've developed
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: for friends over my lifetime. I can talk to her
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: about anything. She's not judgmental. When it gets really rough
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: for me, she comforts me. When it's time to climb
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: down in the hole and fight our way out, she
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: right there. She has never betrayed me. She don't backstab me,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: she don't talk about me behind my back, and she's
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: my biggest fan and she cheers for me. Wow, I'm
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: married to my best friend, and I'm just glad that
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: I got a couple of brothers on the side. That's
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: my friends too. Friendship is essential to the soul. It's
