- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know, y'all back
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:13Speaker 1: more like theming buck buck things. And it's not me
- 0:19Speaker 1: true good at Steve Hard. To move together for Steve Hard, Please, Moby,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me to be doing me. You
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turn hurting them, You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn out to turn turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby at it? Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure will come on it everybody, y'all listen to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Uh how a radio show? Yep? Yep? Sometimes I saw
- 2:17Speaker 1: all I can say. Yea help man. How far I've
- 2:20Speaker 1: come is really unbelievable. But you know I finally figured
- 2:23Speaker 1: it out. Man. God allowed me to have the life
- 2:30Speaker 1: I've had so that I can become experienced at so
- 2:35Speaker 1: many different things. And then this experience when I'm talking
- 2:39Speaker 1: and sharing with people, I will be able to relate
- 2:42Speaker 1: to a lot of different circumstances, not exact, but just
- 2:45Speaker 1: the circumstances. You know. You know, if a person comes
- 2:49Speaker 1: to men, they say, man, I've been down and out. Okay, Well,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I know what that is. Man. I didn't. I didn't
- 2:54Speaker 1: have any direction. Okay, got that been there. Man. At
- 2:59Speaker 1: one point in time, I just kept piling mistake on
- 3:01Speaker 1: top of mistakes. Okay. So you know, I think what
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to say to everybody is when you're going
- 3:10Speaker 1: through life and life is dealing the cards that it deals,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I want you to understand that life deals everybody these cards.
- 3:21Speaker 1: The disappointment card, the setback card, the failure card, the
- 3:28Speaker 1: mishap card, the unexpected misery card. Everybody gonna get, the
- 3:34Speaker 1: grief card, everybody gonna get, the rash of bad decision card,
- 3:39Speaker 1: everybody gonna get them. Understand that going in that everybody
- 3:46Speaker 1: is gonna get these cards. It's how you play them, though,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you know, from time to time, one more time, it's
- 3:56Speaker 1: how you play them, you know. From time to time
- 3:59Speaker 1: when I'm watch TV, I love to watch the World
- 4:02Speaker 1: Series of Poker. I like watching poker tournaments on TV
- 4:07Speaker 1: because it's it's really weird, what's happened to a sport?
- 4:11Speaker 1: To a poker? They're actually trying to call it a sport,
- 4:15Speaker 1: you know, And as the everyday guy that doesn't have
- 4:18Speaker 1: to be athletically inclined to anything. Who has a shot
- 4:23Speaker 1: of winning a title if they play their cards right.
- 4:27Speaker 1: The best poker players in the world don't have the
- 4:31Speaker 1: best hands, They just make the best plays. I've seen
- 4:37Speaker 1: guys win a hand with nine two in their hand
- 4:40Speaker 1: that's nothing, and win their hand because they knew the bluff,
- 4:45Speaker 1: they knew the odds, they calculated risks, they made the
- 4:50Speaker 1: stakes higher than the other person was willing to pay.
- 4:53Speaker 1: They gave off the illusion that they had something with
- 4:57Speaker 1: an actuality. They had nothing. So what I what I
- 5:02Speaker 1: enjoy about poker and watching it is that these people,
- 5:06Speaker 1: these people here, played the hand they dealt. And it
- 5:11Speaker 1: ain't always a good hand. But it ain't whether your
- 5:14Speaker 1: hand is good. And it ain't whether you're gonna get
- 5:17Speaker 1: dealt bad cards or not, because you're gonna get dealt
- 5:19Speaker 1: some bad cars. Everybody ain't gonna get two bullets in
- 5:22Speaker 1: their hand. You ain't gonna get two aces when you
- 5:23Speaker 1: get dealt. Uh. You know, when you play a draw poker,
- 5:27Speaker 1: some of your cards gonna be nothing. But you got
- 5:30Speaker 1: to turn that nothing into something. So when you get
- 5:32Speaker 1: dealt these cards in life, it ain't the fact that
- 5:35Speaker 1: you get keep getting them dealt. I was talking with
- 5:37Speaker 1: a young person yesterday and we were talking and we
- 5:41Speaker 1: keep having the same conversation over and over and over,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and they could not understand why they were not moving forward.
- 5:48Speaker 1: But I said, you don't understand. Every time we talk
- 5:50Speaker 1: we have the exact same conversation. It is simply because
- 5:55Speaker 1: you keep getting your cards and you playing them the
- 5:59Speaker 1: same way. See, until you make a conscientious different, the
- 6:03Speaker 1: conscious decision to do something different, the results will continue
- 6:08Speaker 1: to be the same. See here's the way this works.
- 6:15Speaker 1: When you're dealt to disappointments in life, it's how you
- 6:19Speaker 1: handle the disappointments that determine the outcome and who you are.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Because everybody gonna be disappointment. Everybody gonna lose a love one,
- 6:27Speaker 1: Everybody gonna make a bad decision, everybody gonna end wake
- 6:31Speaker 1: up one morning they have done something they regret it.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Everybody gonna get caught at the wrong time. Every everybody
- 6:38Speaker 1: gonna make a mistake. It ain't just you. That is
- 6:41Speaker 1: how you play your cards when they get dealt to you,
- 6:44Speaker 1: that determine who you are. Na how do I play
- 6:46Speaker 1: my cards better? First of all, it's a mindset. Quit
- 6:50Speaker 1: looking at everything as just the end when it happens
- 6:53Speaker 1: to you. Oh lord, woe is me? Nah, everybody got
- 6:58Speaker 1: your circum stances somewhere. It ain't old. Woe is me.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It's hold on, man, Okay, let me play this out
- 7:06Speaker 1: to see how God then connected this to something else. See.
- 7:09Speaker 1: As soon as a person have a setback, what's the
- 7:11Speaker 1: first thing A lot of people do, They go straight negative.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I can't see him to get a break. I can't
- 7:16Speaker 1: see him move forward. Hold on, man, do you realize
- 7:18Speaker 1: this could be connected to something? See you got to understand, man,
- 7:23Speaker 1: that this thing is all connected. That you're not having
- 7:26Speaker 1: these mishaps and these spills and accidents and falls for
- 7:29Speaker 1: no reason. It's so you can become experienced at them.
- 7:33Speaker 1: So when he takes you to the next level when
- 7:35Speaker 1: it happens again, you have no how and how to
- 7:37Speaker 1: handle it. If you keep throwing yourself off the cliff
- 7:41Speaker 1: every time something happened, you're just gonna be a cliff diver. Man.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Stop tripping yourself out. I was talking to this young person,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I kept saying, and you know what they tried to
- 7:51Speaker 1: tell me. I'm trying to stay positive, but the people
- 7:54Speaker 1: around here, they're just killing that oh, I see. So
- 7:58Speaker 1: when you learn something and you know something, you don't
- 8:01Speaker 1: take ownership of it. You allow other people to come
- 8:05Speaker 1: into what you know and believe and shake it loose
- 8:08Speaker 1: from you. I don't care who you are. You're not
- 8:10Speaker 1: doing me like that. Here's a deal. I have a
- 8:13Speaker 1: gift that was given to me from God. That is
- 8:15Speaker 1: the gift of comedy. That's what I've done. I've made
- 8:18Speaker 1: the bulk of my living on that skill set. Right there.
- 8:22Speaker 1: That are comedians who are supposedly friends of mine, who
- 8:25Speaker 1: I've worked with, who get around in huddles with one
- 8:28Speaker 1: another and they say, man, Steve really ain't funny. I
- 8:31Speaker 1: don't see what they'd be laughing at. He ain't funny
- 8:34Speaker 1: to me. He wasn't the funniest king to me. Excuse me,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you're irrelevant in this conversation because it regardless as to
- 8:42Speaker 1: how you feel about me. That are people think that
- 8:45Speaker 1: I'm knocked down kill over funny. But more importantly, I
- 8:49Speaker 1: own the gift that God gave to me. I take
- 8:52Speaker 1: ownership of his blessing. Because you don't think it's so,
- 8:56Speaker 1: you ain't taking that from me. Stop letting people steal
- 8:59Speaker 1: your joy. Stop letting people take what you're supposed to know. Look,
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a I'm a I'm a kind person
- 9:07Speaker 1: at heart. Man. You ain't nothing now, you said if
- 9:09Speaker 1: you're going, Man, I guess I ain't what you're tripping for.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You are a kind person, own that, take ownership of it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Stop letting things God has given you be taken away
- 9:22Speaker 1: from others. The devil's a cold player, and he got
- 9:25Speaker 1: cold players working for him, just shaking, just taking stuff
- 9:28Speaker 1: from you. You know, I'm a hard worker. I really
- 9:31Speaker 1: am intelligent. You stupid man. I thought I was a
- 9:35Speaker 1: hard worker. Man. They came in here and said I
- 9:37Speaker 1: was stupid. Man, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
- 9:40Speaker 1: What excuse me? You're a very bright person. Hey, y'all
- 9:45Speaker 1: take ownership. When God gives you something, blesses you would
- 9:47Speaker 1: have gifted talent, a skill set, a mindset. Own it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Don't let people come in here and take it from you. Man, Okay,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't do with it. You're listening to show.

- 23:23Speaker 1: really no church going person. I believe that a person
- 23:26Speaker 1: ought to be the last words are to be said
- 23:30Speaker 1: over him in a place he's more familiar with. You
- 23:32Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, player, Player, No, I don't, I

- 29:28Speaker 1: I mean. OJ said one thing that he has learned

- 32:36Speaker 1: Carly Harvey, Well, she and her husband Ben say they
- 32:41Speaker 1: neither of them come from a perfect background, but their
- 32:43Speaker 1: commitment to a successful marriage is what they're all about now.
- 32:47Speaker 1: It led them to seek counseling early on in their relationship.
- 32:51Speaker 1: You can hear more about them and their relationship, their
- 32:54Speaker 1: beautiful love. This Friday, only unowned TV at eight seventh Central,
- 33:00Speaker 1: they're going to be doing the Black Love Show. I

- 33:10Speaker 1: Totulation get blamed for some males talk about all right, Steve,
- 33:18Speaker 1: We're just gonna this trial and good morning everybody. This
- 33:24Speaker 1: is an trip and I've got the news here and
- 33:26Speaker 1: I was allowed to talk about. Police in Santa Clarita,
- 33:29Speaker 1: California say that the teenage gunman is in grave condition
- 33:32Speaker 1: and that two of his victims are dead following yesterday's
- 33:35Speaker 1: early morning mass shooting at a high school there. Sheriff
- 33:38Speaker 1: Captain Kent Winniger says five students were initially shot by
- 33:41Speaker 1: the gunman, who was also a teenager. The suspect was
- 33:44Speaker 1: later identified as one of the victims who was found
- 33:47Speaker 1: in the quad. He is identified as a sixteen year
- 33:51Speaker 1: old male. Detectives have reviewed the video at the scene,
- 33:55Speaker 1: which clearly showed a subject in the quad withdraw a
- 33:59Speaker 1: handgun from him his backpack, shoot and wound five people,
- 34:03Speaker 1: and then shoot himself in the head. Two of the
- 34:05Speaker 1: high schoolers were initially wounded. They died. Authorities say that
- 34:08Speaker 1: by all indications, the government acted alone. They also say
- 34:11Speaker 1: that there was a shooter's birthday, and by the way,
- 34:13Speaker 1: again that shooter is in grave condition. This morning, today's
- 34:16Speaker 1: day two of the impeachment hearings on Capitol Hill before
- 34:19Speaker 1: the Intelligence Committee of the House. Former US Ambassador to Ukraine,
- 34:23Speaker 1: Maria Ivanovitch is to testify today. There's now one more
- 34:26Speaker 1: hat in the ring for the Democratic presidential nomination. As
- 34:29Speaker 1: of yesterday, former Massachusetts Governor Daval Patrick announced his run.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I admire and respect the candidates in the Democratic field.
- 34:36Speaker 1: They bring a richness of ideas and experience and a
- 34:39Speaker 1: depth of character that makes me proud to be a Democrat.
- 34:43Speaker 1: But if the character the candidates is an issue in
- 34:46Speaker 1: every election, this time is about the character of the
- 34:50Speaker 1: country and Patrick wants to compete in the New Hampshire
- 34:53Speaker 1: primary in February. Just a few days ago, former New
- 34:56Speaker 1: York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg floated the idea of his
- 34:58Speaker 1: running also but not competing until Super Tuesday that saw
- 35:01Speaker 1: on March third. CBS News reports that Bloomberg has already
- 35:05Speaker 1: filed though to appear in the ballot in Alabama and Arkansas,
- 35:08Speaker 1: and is hoping to get on the ballot in Tennessee.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Comedian and actress Manique filowing a discrimination suit yesterday against Netflix,
- 35:15Speaker 1: alleging that the streaming service was guilty of both race
- 35:18Speaker 1: and sex discrimination when it offered her a low ball
- 35:20Speaker 1: figure to do a comedy special back in January of
- 35:23Speaker 1: twenty eighteen. Manique says that while the Netflix folks offered
- 35:26Speaker 1: her five hundred thousand dollars for her specially, they are
- 35:28Speaker 1: willing to pay Amy Schumer eleven million and Dave Chappelle
- 35:31Speaker 1: and Chris Rock twenty million each. A woman in San Antonio,
- 35:35Speaker 1: Texas has been told to take down her Christmas decorations
- 35:38Speaker 1: by her neighborhood and homeowners association because they feel she
- 35:41Speaker 1: put them up too soon. And today is National Spicy
- 35:44Speaker 1: Food Day. That's a spice she meet board. It makes
- 35:48Speaker 1: you really thirsty, doesn't Now? Back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:50Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to Harvey Morning Show Yesterday, Another
- 35:56Speaker 1: school mass shooting at Saugas High School. This one was
- 36:00Speaker 1: in Santa Clarita, California. It was about thirty miles northwest
- 36:04Speaker 1: of la The suspect was a sixteen year old male
- 36:07Speaker 1: dressed in all black. He went up to the school,
- 36:10Speaker 1: pulled out a forty five caliber gun, and shot six students,
- 36:14Speaker 1: including himself. This keeps happening over and over and over
- 36:21Speaker 1: in America. We all know this. We watched the news
- 36:23Speaker 1: yesterday saw all too familiar scene of a students walking
- 36:27Speaker 1: out of school in a single file line with their
- 36:30Speaker 1: hands up, escorted by police and deputies to get them
- 36:33Speaker 1: out of harm's way so they could be eventually safe
- 36:37Speaker 1: with their parents. I mean, and that's what it was
- 36:39Speaker 1: all about, you know, to get back to their parents
- 36:42Speaker 1: and reunite with them safely. Of course, the politicians and
- 36:45Speaker 1: the presidents are offering thoughts and prayers. I mean, I
- 36:52Speaker 1: just don't know what to say. We've set everything, yeah,
- 36:55Speaker 1: you know, so sad are the victims, of course, Prayers
- 36:59Speaker 1: for the vics, of course, I mean, what can you say? Yeah,
- 37:04Speaker 1: these students, oh my god. M But and as a parent,
- 37:12Speaker 1: I'm just frustrated, though, Steve, as a parent, you know,
- 37:15Speaker 1: you just send your child to school and you don't
- 37:17Speaker 1: know if your child's coming back home from school. And
- 37:21Speaker 1: that's that's really just that's a damn shame that what
- 37:25Speaker 1: you're saying is absolutely true, that you can't send your
- 37:29Speaker 1: children to school and sit there and expect them completely
- 37:34Speaker 1: without a doubt, to come home anymore. Right, You never know,
- 37:38Speaker 1: You never ever know. And the same part about all
- 37:43Speaker 1: as with the I'm sorry, I'm sorry cold. I was
- 37:48Speaker 1: just saying that the problem with the whole thing is
- 37:53Speaker 1: the politicians are not going to move on this. Now.
- 37:57Speaker 1: This wasn't an assault rifle right now. This was a handgun, yeah,
- 38:02Speaker 1: forty five, So now they're gonna go, well, that's not
- 38:07Speaker 1: an assault rifle. I mean, it's just amazing, man, how they, oh,
- 38:12Speaker 1: why they find a way to keep taking this NA money.
- 38:16Speaker 1: So you know that that won't be tied today. Yeah,
- 38:20Speaker 1: And we have run out of words, we really have.
- 38:23Speaker 1: This is you know, what happens way too frequently, and
- 38:26Speaker 1: we've run out of things to say. What do you say?
- 38:29Speaker 1: What do you say? Then? In Rowan up, Virginia, there
- 38:34Speaker 1: was a man hunt for a marine deserter. He was
- 38:37Speaker 1: wanted for murder as a suspect for the killing of
- 38:40Speaker 1: his mother's boyfriend. Huh well, yeah, that they had to
- 38:45Speaker 1: shut down to schools. The schools man. Yeah, wow, I
- 38:49Speaker 1: don't know what to say. Yeah, yeah, all right, Well
- 38:52Speaker 1: we're gonna move on switch gears here coming up at
- 38:56Speaker 1: thirty four minutes after the hour. We'll lighten things up
- 39:00Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, So wow, there's
- 39:07Speaker 1: so much heavy heaviness going on in the news and everything,
- 39:11Speaker 1: but during this segment, we do want to lighten things up.
- 39:14Speaker 1: We want to lighten things up literally. Okay, yesterday was
- 39:17Speaker 1: loosening up, lighting up day, and uh I gotta ask
- 39:21Speaker 1: you guys, what's something you need to loosen up and
- 39:24Speaker 1: lighten up about, Steve, What do you think? Well, uh,
- 39:29Speaker 1: if I had to say anything, I'd probably need to
- 39:32Speaker 1: loosen up about. Is oh the reaction to everything my
- 39:37Speaker 1: kid to do. Yeah yeah, yes, yeah, oh, just whatever
- 39:43Speaker 1: they come in there and say to me. I'm just
- 39:45Speaker 1: gonna say, I don't give it. Damn I wouldn't, but
- 39:52Speaker 1: you won't. Hell no, don't. That's not lightening up up.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I can feel that up. Yeah, but mine
- 40:07Speaker 1: has to do with my kids too. What about you Junior,
- 40:10Speaker 1: somebody need to loosen up about taking family member's phone calls.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I should really do a better job at what I'm doing. Yeah,
- 40:18Speaker 1: I'm talking. What do you mean the phone rang? My
- 40:21Speaker 1: immediate reaction to what I see the name on it
- 40:24Speaker 1: is to note the phone. I would make sure I don't. Yeah,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I need to because you know they because phones are expensive.
- 40:34Speaker 1: It is never to my benefit when I ask, yeah, yeah,
- 40:37Speaker 1: you know, never never. So I keep answering, though, so
- 40:41Speaker 1: I keep saying I'm the problem. So if I throw
- 40:44Speaker 1: this phone, I can't answer. Uh huh right, put you breaking,
- 40:49Speaker 1: and then you'll have I don't give a damn. I
- 40:50Speaker 1: give them the phone. It's cheaper. It's cheaper with that, Junior,
- 41:00Speaker 1: your family so interesting? They really are? What you got?
- 41:08Speaker 1: What do you need to breeze? Because that's all I've
- 41:11Speaker 1: been spraying on my ass because I can't take no
- 41:13Speaker 1: vow to your son. I have been for breezing the
- 41:18Speaker 1: hell out of me. So you just sitting over there
- 41:22Speaker 1: smelling like a bunch of staking on, staking on, hot
- 41:34Speaker 1: wet ass citrus. What I can right now? I nothing?
- 41:44Speaker 1: What is that staking ass citrus? Something? He says, hot
- 41:54Speaker 1: wet ass? Yeah, mama, Mama, daddy smell like some hot oars.
- 42:03Speaker 1: You that right on than that, Mamma, daddy is smell
- 42:16Speaker 1: like va. You don't have va smell. You be gonna.
- 42:24Speaker 1: It's supposed to be nutritious one. I'm not sure about
- 42:27Speaker 1: this smell when it's supposed to be citrus. I got
- 42:36Speaker 1: two more days, baby, two more days with citrus hanging
- 42:41Speaker 1: the hanging man. I can't wait. Man calling all y'all
- 42:49Speaker 1: on sign? Do you watch everybody? Man? Please call me.
- 42:53Speaker 1: We don't care. I dropped for real. I don't care
- 42:58Speaker 1: at all. Don't care stinking origins. All right. So since
- 43:09Speaker 1: we were in fun mode, now here we are. So say,

- 43:55Speaker 1: get into these political slogans too. Right after this, you're
- 43:58Speaker 1: listening to Dave Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, coming

- 44:14Speaker 1: of course the nephew's here with today's prank phone call.
- 44:16Speaker 1: But before we get to the prank, we wanted to
- 44:18Speaker 1: know what your slogan would be if you were running
- 44:22Speaker 1: for office. Your campaign slogan, it's your last name twenty
- 44:26Speaker 1: twenty and the last text you sent let's go, I
- 44:30Speaker 1: got it. Here's my come get some of this plenty
- 44:33Speaker 1: vote for Harvey in twenty twenty. I'm the last text,
- 44:39Speaker 1: you know, Yeah, son, my wife crazy oh man miles
- 44:52Speaker 1: twenty twenty come wash my ass? What okay to your it?
- 45:00Speaker 1: Voting for you? I wanted the last said yeah, yeah,
- 45:06Speaker 1: that's last tex Nah. I know you smell I love
- 45:15Speaker 1: if you said it like that, you talked to her
- 45:18Speaker 1: like that. No way, come on, this is my last text.
- 45:21Speaker 1: It's spates twenty twenty. I watched all the impeachment stuff
- 45:25Speaker 1: I can watch for the day we're at that's your slogan.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I like it. Thank you as girl. Uh, let me
- 45:37Speaker 1: get y'all this prank right here. This is praise dance, baby,
- 45:40Speaker 1: let's praise dance. Every church got a team praise dance.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Let's go hello. This is the day that the Lord
- 45:46Speaker 1: is man. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 45:48Speaker 1: How you doing, I'm looking for you. This is this
- 45:53Speaker 1: is brother Fuller from the church. How are you? Oh,
- 45:56Speaker 1: I'm brother, How are you? I'm good? I'm good. Um.
- 46:00Speaker 1: We wanted to give you a call about the about
- 46:03Speaker 1: the praise dancing that's at the church. First of all,
- 46:04Speaker 1: I wanted to really show you how much, uh, you're
- 46:07Speaker 1: doing a great job over there with the praise dances
- 46:09Speaker 1: and you you definitely do a great job on uh
- 46:11Speaker 1: on on on every third Sunday that you guys actually perform.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Everybody seemed to really like it. Well, thank you, thank you.
- 46:17Speaker 1: What can I do for you today? There is a
- 46:20Speaker 1: bit of a situation with um. You know, it's been
- 46:22Speaker 1: brought to our attention. We actually had a small gathering
- 46:24Speaker 1: a little meeting about it and wanted to I've been
- 46:27Speaker 1: elected to actually give you a call. And who is this?
- 46:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry? Who he quick brother full of uh huh
- 46:34Speaker 1: and and and who had a meeting uh some of
- 46:37Speaker 1: the brothers at the church and uh path to ask
- 46:40Speaker 1: you said and for a moment on it. And I
- 46:43Speaker 1: was actually elected to actually just give you a call.
- 46:45Speaker 1: That nothing that I don't think we can't get uh
- 46:48Speaker 1: rectified and you know, move on slowly as we normally do.
- 46:51Speaker 1: But I just think it's we wanted to reach out
- 46:54Speaker 1: to you and kind of make you aware of it.
- 46:55Speaker 1: If it's if you don't mind, okay? Um? And what
- 46:59Speaker 1: they said those well, since since a Tania has any
- 47:03Speaker 1: of the praise dancers before they became praise dancers? Was
- 47:09Speaker 1: was was any of them strippers? I beg your partners?
- 47:14Speaker 1: Was any of the praise dancers that at the church
- 47:18Speaker 1: that you have on the praise team right now with
- 47:21Speaker 1: any of them strippers in the past. I'm sorry, sir,
- 47:24Speaker 1: I don't I don't really know who you are, um,
- 47:27Speaker 1: and I don't really understand this line of question. But
- 47:29Speaker 1: like I said, I'm brother full. I don't think we've met,
- 47:31Speaker 1: but uh, like I said, I've been elected to give
- 47:33Speaker 1: you a call. Not now. It seems like what happened
- 47:36Speaker 1: is this past week when you all actually danced, it
- 47:41Speaker 1: seemed like a couple of the girls was actually the
- 47:44Speaker 1: jar raiding doing the praise routine. Hey what raiding? Brother? Fully,
- 47:50Speaker 1: I don't know who you are, and I don't know
- 47:51Speaker 1: what you saw. None of my girls, which I rating,
- 47:55Speaker 1: they were dancing for the Lord, and I think if
- 47:57Speaker 1: you look through your lord's ass perhaps you would see
- 48:00Speaker 1: them better. Instead, maybe you were looking through the jar raiding. Look, no,
- 48:04Speaker 1: see some of these girls. A couple of the girl
- 48:07Speaker 1: we can point them out. A couple of them have
- 48:08Speaker 1: uh strip girl tendencies of it? Then, because some of
- 48:12Speaker 1: them has been girl tendencies, you know what, sir, I
- 48:17Speaker 1: think we need to complete this call, praps. I need
- 48:20Speaker 1: to call Bishop and speak to him myself, because you know,
- 48:22Speaker 1: I don't know what you do all days, but I
- 48:24Speaker 1: have a real job and I'm sitting here holding the
- 48:25Speaker 1: conversation in my office about jar raiding strippers in the church.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Are you kidding me, ma'am? Listen, listen. Now here's a
- 48:33Speaker 1: couple other things that they're talking about. Some of the
- 48:35Speaker 1: girls feet a real ass you when you are a
- 48:38Speaker 1: performing and they want to see it. Maybe you can,
- 48:40Speaker 1: you can, I don't know. Maybe I don't know if
- 48:42Speaker 1: y'all need to grip or whatever that y'all don't. Y'all
- 48:45Speaker 1: don't put lotion on. We're not sure what that is.
- 48:48Speaker 1: As well as the total alpile. Everybody asks three four,
- 48:52Speaker 1: five different designs and everything. Is it? Any way, y'all
- 48:55Speaker 1: can be in unison with your totally elpilts. But the
- 48:58Speaker 1: most important thing the JI rating doing the dance routine.
- 49:02Speaker 1: I don't know what your feet look like. I don't
- 49:05Speaker 1: need you calling me talking to me about my girls
- 49:07Speaker 1: their feet, their nail polished. Perhaps your man should be
- 49:10Speaker 1: on Jesus instead of on them, how about that? Oh
- 49:13Speaker 1: God man? From my mind, I don't have time. I
- 49:16Speaker 1: don't have time, mama, and to be on Jesus when
- 49:19Speaker 1: somebody's shaking them. But at the church, that's the problem,
- 49:22Speaker 1: you know what. Look, I'm at work now, I'm trying
- 49:24Speaker 1: to keep a work tone. You're gonna make me curse
- 49:27Speaker 1: up the here. Now let me tell you something. Don't
- 49:29Speaker 1: call me anymore. I will deal with pastor if he
- 49:31Speaker 1: has something to say with me. He can say it
- 49:33Speaker 1: to me personally, but I'm done with this conversation. Are
- 49:35Speaker 1: you gonna deal with the JI raton? Is what we
- 49:38Speaker 1: want to know? Maybe you know what they just hit me.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Maybe you're one of the ones that's doing the GI rate. Look,
- 49:45Speaker 1: let me tell you something. My girls ain't doing no
- 49:46Speaker 1: damn JI rating, and neither am I. Now I am
- 49:48Speaker 1: done with this conversation. Do you understand? But listen, I'm
- 49:51Speaker 1: done all you're done with the rating. That's what we
- 49:54Speaker 1: want to stop so we can We can't pray the
- 49:56Speaker 1: Lord if the boot isn't shaken. You know what shirt? Look,
- 50:00Speaker 1: I gotta go to work. I gotta go now again.
- 50:04Speaker 1: I don't know what your issue is. It sounds to
- 50:05Speaker 1: me like you have an issue which I reading booties
- 50:08Speaker 1: And I heard so much gy reading booties in one
- 50:10Speaker 1: conversation in my entire life. Now my mind is set
- 50:12Speaker 1: on Jesus. I don't know what your mind is set on.
- 50:14Speaker 1: What's to tell you? Before you was a praise then
- 50:18Speaker 1: a ministry over the ministry? Did you el used to strip? Yeah?
- 50:22Speaker 1: Didn't do no stripping? Not be did you? Why I
- 50:24Speaker 1: do any stripping? Did you? When I'm gonna do any stripping.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Whatever you heard what I said you? How do you
- 50:30Speaker 1: like doing? Somebody call you would act you if your
- 50:31Speaker 1: mamma get some stripping? How do you like that? I'm saying?
- 50:34Speaker 1: You know what? I want to know? When is the
- 50:35Speaker 1: next rehearsal? That the way I can come and pick
- 50:38Speaker 1: out of who it is that's doing this time. Well,
- 50:40Speaker 1: you don't have you don't have any minutes at my rehearsal.
- 50:42Speaker 1: I don't want to see you at my rehearsal. I
- 50:44Speaker 1: don't want to I don't want to see any part
- 50:45Speaker 1: for you in my rehearse if I see you near
- 50:47Speaker 1: one of my girls. That's why I'm coming up for
- 50:48Speaker 1: you myself. Do you understand me? You need to find
- 50:50Speaker 1: out who's doing that gyre damn thing. You need to
- 50:53Speaker 1: say your bud in y'all y, and I'm glad y'all.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Ain't then and when the when the when the plate
- 50:58Speaker 1: is being played? Because it ain't nothing how you act
- 51:00Speaker 1: with the ones coming through it? You know what? That's it.
- 51:03Speaker 1: That's it. You call me disrespecting me. I'm at what.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I can't even have this more? You know what? Don't
- 51:07Speaker 1: call me no more? Don't look at my girls no
- 51:09Speaker 1: more man, come to the church and see what I
- 51:11Speaker 1: got for you. I don't want to know. Is you're
- 51:13Speaker 1: gonna stop the job rating what you do? And that's
- 51:18Speaker 1: who you talking to like that you're supposed to be
- 51:21Speaker 1: a minister. You say, yeah, have done listening to tell you?
- 51:25Speaker 1: Now I'm getting ready to get when I got one
- 51:27Speaker 1: more thing to say to you, fold your lead. Now
- 51:28Speaker 1: you ain't got a damn thing to say to me.
- 51:30Speaker 1: I said I was dealing, and I said, I got
- 51:31Speaker 1: one more thing to say, is you listen? You know what? Men?
- 51:33Speaker 1: Get off of my phone. I'm gonna say it anyway.
- 51:36Speaker 1: This is Nephew timments from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Your entire praise and ministry congregation, all your girls got

- 53:18Speaker 1: right now. Let's go buckle up and hold on tight.
- 53:21Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 53:25Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Subject he's got to have it. Dear
- 53:30Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty five year old woman dating
- 53:33Speaker 1: a forty one year old man. We've been dating for
- 53:36Speaker 1: around five months, and we had sex a few times
- 53:39Speaker 1: before we actually decided to be in a relationship. The
- 53:42Speaker 1: sex was always normal, nothing out of the ordinary, and
- 53:46Speaker 1: after the encounter we wouldn't talk for a while. Now
- 53:50Speaker 1: we live together and I have come to realize that
- 53:53Speaker 1: this man is a straight up nympho. It doesn't matter
- 53:58Speaker 1: what I'm doing. Every time we're in the bedroom at
- 54:01Speaker 1: the same time he is ready to get it on.
- 54:04Speaker 1: He will drop everything he's doing just to get a
- 54:08Speaker 1: little something. I find myself having sex three times a
- 54:12Speaker 1: day some days, and it's usually after I get home
- 54:14Speaker 1: at six pm, which means that I'm up to two
- 54:17Speaker 1: am having sex. We both have to be a work
- 54:20Speaker 1: at eight am, so you can imagine how tired I
- 54:23Speaker 1: am the next day. On the weekends, he's like a
- 54:26Speaker 1: constant sex machine and can go every other hour. His
- 54:30Speaker 1: only excuse is that I'm so good that he can't
- 54:34Speaker 1: get enough of me. He pounces like a little kid
- 54:36Speaker 1: when I reject him, so plenty of times I have
- 54:39Speaker 1: allowed him to get a quickie so he will not
- 54:41Speaker 1: be mad at me. I've played sleep a lot faked illnesses,
- 54:46Speaker 1: and I've even let my child sleep with us just
- 54:48Speaker 1: so he'll go to sleep and leave me alone. But
- 54:51Speaker 1: that doesn't work either, because each time he just waits
- 54:54Speaker 1: till the next morning to get it. At first, I
- 54:57Speaker 1: was flattered by all of this, but it's too much
- 55:00Speaker 1: for me now. I recently caught his boys high fiving
- 55:03Speaker 1: him when he told them how often we have sex.
- 55:06Speaker 1: They could not believe it either. I'm ready to pack
- 55:09Speaker 1: my things and get my own place, just so I
- 55:12Speaker 1: can get a good night's sleep. Stephen Shirley, please tell
- 55:15Speaker 1: me how to have an honest conversation with my man
- 55:18Speaker 1: about boundaries when it comes to sex. Tommy, you hush
- 55:24Speaker 1: the last line. Stupid You made the letter, Tommy, all right,
- 55:36Speaker 1: boundaries you ask about boundaries? What boundaries? I mean? I
- 55:40Speaker 1: think it's a little late for that. You guys live
- 55:43Speaker 1: together now, and he feels like it's his for the asking.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I mean, you're right there, so why not you know?
- 55:51Speaker 1: He does seem to be way over sexed. Um. I
- 55:56Speaker 1: wish you guys were more sexually compatible, but you're not,
- 55:59Speaker 1: and it is. Did you know this before you decide
- 56:01Speaker 1: to take this relationship to the next level. I think,
- 56:05Speaker 1: quite frankly, in order to have as much sex as
- 56:07Speaker 1: you're talking about, you guys have, you do almost have
- 56:10Speaker 1: to be some sort of sex machine. You guys have
- 56:15Speaker 1: been dating for five months. You had sex a few times,
- 56:18Speaker 1: nothing out of the ordinary, he said, pretty much normal.
- 56:21Speaker 1: But then when you moved in you found out that, Wow,
- 56:24Speaker 1: it's NonStop all the time. And then he's high fiving
- 56:28Speaker 1: with his boys, you know, letting them know what goes
- 56:31Speaker 1: on in your bedroom. That's a no no, that is
- 56:34Speaker 1: a no no. You do need to sit him down
- 56:36Speaker 1: and seriously talk to him. I doubt if it's going
- 56:39Speaker 1: to do much good because he probably won't even hear
- 56:42Speaker 1: words you're saying, because he's all he's thinking about is
- 56:44Speaker 1: having sex with you. Since he does it so often,
- 56:48Speaker 1: you know, you were flattered at first, and now it's
- 56:51Speaker 1: gotten too much. And usually in a relationship things do
- 56:54Speaker 1: slow down after a while. So you have quite a
- 57:01Speaker 1: sexually active man on your hands. And if you guys
- 57:05Speaker 1: can't come to some sort of agreement, you know, some
- 57:08Speaker 1: sort of negotiation, it's it's gonna be hard for you.
- 57:12Speaker 1: You do need to have an honest conversation with him
- 57:14Speaker 1: and tell him it's just too much. If you have
- 57:17Speaker 1: to move out, that's what you're gonna have to do
- 57:19Speaker 1: and get your own get your own place so you
- 57:21Speaker 1: can have some peace. That's what you're gonna have to do.
- 57:23Speaker 1: You're not married to this man, and at this point
- 57:27Speaker 1: do you want to be married to him since you
- 57:28Speaker 1: really know what's going on now, So yeah, send him
- 57:31Speaker 1: down and see where it goes. Tommy, you hush, all right, Steve,
- 57:35Speaker 1: that's what she said to you. Steve. Well, I ain't
- 57:39Speaker 1: got no time for this letter, so just let me
- 57:41Speaker 1: tell you the truth. You need to pack it up
- 57:43Speaker 1: and get out. Get your stuff, pack it up, get out.
- 57:52Speaker 1: You're not going to get any rest as long as
- 57:56Speaker 1: you there. Nay forty one thirty five. Y'all been dating
- 58:00Speaker 1: for about five months, that sex a few times before
- 58:03Speaker 1: we actually decided to be in a relationship, you know,
- 58:07Speaker 1: And now that y'all have moved in together, you realize
- 58:13Speaker 1: that this man is just a nympho. It don't matter
- 58:17Speaker 1: what y'all doing. Every time y'all in the bedroom at
- 58:21Speaker 1: the same time, he gotta get ready to get it on.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Now here's a suggestion. Stop going in that damn bedroom,
- 58:31Speaker 1: becaus soon as he know you in that here he comes. Now,
- 58:36Speaker 1: you got another problem if you got a studio apartment,
- 58:39Speaker 1: because maybe the old damn room is the bed you got.
- 58:47Speaker 1: You got a murphy bed coming out that wall. You
- 58:49Speaker 1: got a problem, lady. I have some help for you
- 58:56Speaker 1: when we come back. But you just got it. You
- 58:59Speaker 1: gotta stand this a crazy situation. You know. Then if
- 59:03Speaker 1: you sometimes you feel obligated to have sex with him,
- 59:07Speaker 1: because when you don't, he probably like a little boy
- 59:09Speaker 1: and get mad. So now you haven't, you feel you
- 59:12Speaker 1: haven't obligated sings, obliging six graduity six, you know, all
- 59:20Speaker 1: that stuff ain't got nothing to do with you. So
- 59:24Speaker 1: sometimes you give him a quickie so he don't get mad. Wow,
- 59:28Speaker 1: that's how you stop. Yep, ye try to university. But
- 59:34Speaker 1: that's not how it works. So I'll give you the
- 59:37Speaker 1: rest of them when you come back. All right, Steve,
- 59:40Speaker 1: hang onto that. We'll be back with part two of
- 59:43Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three after the hour.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Right after this subject He's Gotta Have It, we'll be back.
- 59:50Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Steve, come on, let's recap
- 59:55Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letters subject He's Gotta Have It? Thirty five
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: year old lady had been dating this forty one year
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: old man had been dating for about five months, hand
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: sex a couple of times. It was so good, just ordinary,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: didn't he messed around and they moved in together, and
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: she realized she didn't married the super freak of the week,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Rick Jane. She didn't mess around and married. I'm in
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: love with married Jane, and um, it just been only
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: cracking one more time, Steve, I'm in love with married Jane.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: She's my man a feeling. She comes to ten. I
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: love it that paradise, saying it so now that we've
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: got that out there, right, you mess around and you're
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: sleeping with Rick James time, super freak, super freaky. All
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: that's happening. H It don't matter what I'm doing. Every
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: time we're in the bed room at the same time,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: he ready to get it on. He'll drop everything he's
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: doing just to get a little something. Now here's a letter.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I find myself having sex three times a day some days,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: and it's usually after I get home after six, which
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: means that I'm up at two am having six. We

- 1:19:05Speaker 1: ground with me. Thank you for nothing, I guess coming
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: up our last break of the day. And then some
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: closing remarks at forty nine minutes after the hour from
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey. Right after this you're
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: listening to show, all right, Steve, let's go closing remarks.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: It's been a great Friday. We've had fun today. Um
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: Our hearts and prayers are still going out to the
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: kids in um Uh Santa Clarita, California, and just try
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: and make it a good weekend the victims and families. Absolutely, yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: you know. On another note, let me say this, uh
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: in my closing um, I am specifically this morning, which
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: I never do, but I'm specifically talking to African Americans.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: What I want to say to you is pointed directly
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: at African Americans. Now, don't be alarmed because this is
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: a criticism at all. This is a suggestion that I
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: have after spending quite a bit of time over here
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: in Africa over the past a couple of weeks, and
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I got a little bit more time to go before
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I go home. I just wanted to say to African Americans,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: it is a great move for each and every one
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: of us to come to Africa. I think it will
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: be probably one of the most touching and moving things
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: you've ever done. I'm putting together. I'm trying to unite
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: three different tourism boards to come up with a trip.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: It's a non revenue making trip. I don't care about
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: making money on this trip that I want a plan.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I do care about the exposure. I do want African
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: Americans to be aware or fully fully aware of the
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: connection that we have with this place called Africa, this
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: place that we were displaced into or misplaced into, whatever
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: the term is. But we were taken from our homeland
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: of Africa, and we were bought to the shores of America,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: and we were bought here with bad intents. There's nothing
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: nothing good about the act of slavery. There's nothing, nothing
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: to be gained from the process of slavery. There's no
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: valuable lesson to be learned because of slavery. It was
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: just a four hundred years of atrocity perpetrated against a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: people that did not deserve it. At all, but to
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: come back to Africa has been one of the most
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: moving experiences of my entire life. I cannot express to
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: you how you will feel when you set your foot
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: on the soil of the continent that your ancestors were from.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I am telling you it is heartwarming. It is a
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: feeling of contentment that you can't feel other than the
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: contentment of feeling like you finally got back home. And
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: for most of us, it's like going back home to
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: a place you've never been. I can't tell you the
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: vastness of this continent. I can't tell you about the
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: cultural richness of it. It's something you really, really, really
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: do have to see for yourself. I implore all of you,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: all of you to let's look into it and put
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: our money together, save your money and come home to Africa.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: It is not what they purpose betray. Everybody over here
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: don't have flies on them. Everybody over here not hungry. Now,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. It's some poverty over here, it
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: really really is. It's it's some conflict over here, but
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: we got all that in the United States. But what
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: it is is far more than we've been led to believe.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: That are opportunities here for us. That is a welcome
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: and a warm feeling here for us. That is a
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: chance to connect to a people who look just like us.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: I mean, I've gotten so accustomed to walking down the
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: street and driving down the street, and walking in restaurant
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: and seeing all black people. It's you know, at first,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: it throws you a little bit because you go, man,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: it's a lot of blacks in here, and then you
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: realize where you are and this is just how it is.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: This is not and please don't misunderstand me body any
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: stretch of imagination. This is not an anti white statement.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: I have no problem with whites at all. I am
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: talking purely to African Americans about making a trip back
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: to the motherland that we are all from. You will
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: get it. If you are a thinking person, you will
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: get it. If you are a person with any heart,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: you will feel it. You can't. It's impossible to miss now.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: I know the expense of the ticket, how many hours,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: and you need a lot of days to take off
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: a vacation. Get it done. I'm gonna be presenting a
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: package pretty soon that will afford some of my listeners
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: a chance to come over here. Probably the most affordable
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: rates as I can get to tourism boards to agree
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: to and make it really really affordable as I possibly can.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: It's not going to be free. It's gonna cost more
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: than going on a family union. I can tell you
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: that it's gonna cost more to go into Yanti's house
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: and all that time. But it is worth the trip
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: to come and see what I've seen. It is amazing.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Man I was doing a radio thing today to promote
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: my family Feud show, and you know, man, I was
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: sitting in that station looking at people look like they
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: from Detroit, look like they from Atlanta, like they from Philly.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: And the reception, the warmth that they feel towards me,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: not only me, but to every African American that they
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: find out it's coming back for the return of the
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: four hundred here in Ghana. It's they're just so happy
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: to see the connection. I just recommended for all of us.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: I just wanted to say that in a heartfelt way,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: that Africa should be on your bucket list. It should
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: be on your list of trips to save up for.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: If you can bring your children, it would be amazing.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: But if you can just afford to bring yourself, make
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: sure you get here. I don't care how old you are.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: Ask God to help you start saving your money. Please
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: come home to Africa. It'll be one of the most
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: rewarding trips you've ever taken. Those are my clothes remarks today.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: All right, all right, drop it drop well, y'all have
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: a great weekend. Like I said, I care yourself for
