- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit look like the don
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like the million bucks. Things in the true
- 0:20Speaker 1: good together to please, I don't join join me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta turn hur you gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You haven't got to turn them out turning water.
- 1:47Speaker 1: The water got me? Come come on your thing, Ah,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on, dieg me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, I got something for you today.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a conversation this morning about my understanding
- 2:23Speaker 1: of grace now that I've gotten older and I've come
- 2:27Speaker 1: in to a better understanding of a lot of things
- 2:30Speaker 1: I didn't know about when I was younger. This is
- 2:33Speaker 1: just my interpretation of grace. Now once again, y'all listen
- 2:39Speaker 1: to me. I ain't nobody's pastor, I ain't nobody's minister.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So you know, I'm pretty sure you can go to
- 2:46Speaker 1: church and get a far more extensive definition of one
- 2:49Speaker 1: I'm giving you. I'm just talking to people. You know.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Grace is this thing that that God provides for us
- 2:59Speaker 1: and Grace's just things that you get that's really undeserving,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you know. I mean, I look at my life as
- 3:08Speaker 1: it is today. You know. Look, I work hard and
- 3:10Speaker 1: I have faith in God that I do so things
- 3:14Speaker 1: are going to happen in my life. But the way
- 3:16Speaker 1: my life is now, I don't. I don't. I don't
- 3:19Speaker 1: deserve all of this. I don't. I don't. I don't
- 3:22Speaker 1: look at it that way. I have been the beneficiary
- 3:25Speaker 1: of God's grace. I have aligned myself in a position
- 3:30Speaker 1: to accept whatever grace God has for me, and it
- 3:35Speaker 1: will be far abundant and exceedingly in anything you could
- 3:40Speaker 1: think of. His grace supersedes anything you could possibly imagine.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You know, the goals that I set and the aspirations
- 3:49Speaker 1: that I shoot for, and the things that I have
- 3:51Speaker 1: on my dream board. I have the faith that God
- 3:53Speaker 1: will give it to me. But what He does with grace,
- 3:56Speaker 1: he gives you far more than that. He gives you
- 3:59Speaker 1: what He has for you, not what you can see.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You can't see all he has for you. It's impossible.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Who are you? How can you possibly imagine what he
- 4:08Speaker 1: can imagine? How can you possibly think, how he can think?
- 4:11Speaker 1: How can you possibly do what he can do. How
- 4:14Speaker 1: can it be that isn't a single mind living or
- 4:18Speaker 1: a collection of minds that could have thought of earth?
- 4:22Speaker 1: What in your wildest imagination could have made you think
- 4:26Speaker 1: of Earth? The stars, the heavens, the oceans, the galaxy,
- 4:32Speaker 1: the constellations. What in your mind? What in any man's mind?
- 4:37Speaker 1: We can point at it and analyze it, but we
- 4:39Speaker 1: show it couldn't have thought of it. So come on now,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I'm talking about lining yourself up with God's grace, which
- 4:48Speaker 1: he will give to you if you if you want
- 4:51Speaker 1: some of it now. But now his thing about grace,
- 4:53Speaker 1: it can't be bought. If it could, if it could
- 4:55Speaker 1: be bought, I'm telling you I would pour all the
- 5:00Speaker 1: money I have and dump it into grace, because, after
- 5:04Speaker 1: discovering what it is, it's this goodness that God shines
- 5:10Speaker 1: on you simply as a reward of some type for
- 5:15Speaker 1: his love for you and for you attempting for you,
- 5:19Speaker 1: attempting to do right, not because you get it right.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Because if He judged us purely on how we are
- 5:26Speaker 1: the right and wrong of it, we would all be doomed,
- 5:29Speaker 1: all of us, every last one of us, would be doomed,
- 5:34Speaker 1: because we all fall short. We all make mistakes, we
- 5:38Speaker 1: all sin, we all get it wrong from time to time.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Nobody's perfect. Man. Now I understand what my mother was
- 5:47Speaker 1: saying about cleaning the house. All I want is a
- 5:50Speaker 1: little more grace. All I need is a little more
- 5:53Speaker 1: grace when the last time you ask God for some grace. No,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm not talking to you like I know everything. If
- 6:00Speaker 1: you just benefit from His grace, which you already have,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but if you're not aware of it, you don't know
- 6:06Speaker 1: what's going on. Become aware of grace, Get aware of
- 6:10Speaker 1: the fact that God does things for you simply because
- 6:13Speaker 1: He loves you. He does things for you that you
- 6:16Speaker 1: don't even deserve. Somehow, you just wonder how you just
- 6:19Speaker 1: got over when you didn't even do the things to
- 6:22Speaker 1: get over. Sometimes you don't even know how you got
- 6:26Speaker 1: that job you got when you ain't even really do
- 6:29Speaker 1: the things to get the job. How you end up
- 6:31Speaker 1: where you are all the education you thought you went
- 6:34Speaker 1: and got it, and how you end up where you
- 6:36Speaker 1: are today in a much better position than your education
- 6:39Speaker 1: could have ever gotten you. That's grace. How I get
- 6:44Speaker 1: every place I am today. I didn't plan this, man.
- 6:47Speaker 1: If I could have planned my life the way it is.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Don't you know how to have have done it? When I
- 6:50Speaker 1: was living in that car? If I knew how to
- 6:52Speaker 1: do it, No, I benefited from his grace. I'm just
- 6:57Speaker 1: a beneficiary of his grace, of his goodness and his mercy.
- 7:02Speaker 1: God's goodness is better than your goodness. God's goodness is
- 7:06Speaker 1: better than your mother's goodness. It's better than your wife's
- 7:10Speaker 1: or your husband or your booze goodness. God's goodness is different.
- 7:15Speaker 1: His goodness man covers some stuff you can't even imagine.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So why are you trying to put your life together
- 7:23Speaker 1: when the last time you asked him for just a
- 7:25Speaker 1: little bit of grace? When have you thought of your
- 7:29Speaker 1: life in terms of the grace that it has already
- 7:32Speaker 1: benefited from? Have you ever done that? Man? Just thought
- 7:36Speaker 1: about you know? You hear songs like my soul looked
- 7:39Speaker 1: back and wonder how I got over. That's grace. That's
- 7:42Speaker 1: all I can call it. Now. Like I said, you
- 7:44Speaker 1: can go at church or somewhere ever you want to,
- 7:46Speaker 1: and ministers that the wind at school to teach this
- 7:49Speaker 1: thing way better than me. I'm just giving you from
- 7:51Speaker 1: a layman standpoint. Man, have you thought about his grace.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Would you not bewailed to be a beneficiary of his grace?
- 7:59Speaker 1: Would it not? Now? Check this out. The better you
- 8:02Speaker 1: try to do, the more grace he'll give to you.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And that grace can't be bought. Like I said, it's free.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You can't purchase grace. But the better you try to
- 8:13Speaker 1: become the more the more grace he gets to put
- 8:16Speaker 1: your way. So man, just try, Why don't you just
- 8:20Speaker 1: try to do better? Look, man, quick tip, mind, I'm
- 8:24Speaker 1: gonna start next week. I'm gonna start at the new year. Now,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you nawn't do that every year, you know, the ambras
- 8:29Speaker 1: at the new year. I'm eat better at the new year.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I'm na I'm gonna gonna get in here and the
- 8:34Speaker 1: new year. If you're gonna do it, you're gonna do
- 8:35Speaker 1: it now. Man, you're gonna do not stop trying to
- 8:39Speaker 1: do something, do it, stop talking about it, do it now.
- 8:44Speaker 1: The best way to benefit from his grace is starting
- 8:47Speaker 1: action now in old w now, right now today. What
- 8:53Speaker 1: you're waiting on. All you're doing is delaying his opportunity
- 8:57Speaker 1: to bless you. You know, man, you know, do you
- 9:01Speaker 1: know how many times we do that? We delay his
- 9:04Speaker 1: opportunity to bless us by not starting now. If you're
- 9:08Speaker 1: gonna get healthy, why don't you start now? Now? You're
- 9:10Speaker 1: gonna trip a little bit called the holidays coming. But
- 9:13Speaker 1: you ain't got to eat bad all the time. You
- 9:15Speaker 1: could start eating correct today, you could. You could, and
- 9:20Speaker 1: then guess what that could be? Some grace on the
- 9:22Speaker 1: end of that. I'm just giving you a little cheap analogy.
- 9:25Speaker 1: But do you feel what I'm saying to you? Start
- 9:28Speaker 1: thinking in terms of grace, what He has done for
- 9:31Speaker 1: you and provided for you that you ain't even see coming.
- 9:33Speaker 1: That you know, you keep calling them blessings and I
- 9:36Speaker 1: got that a lot of it, and us all it is.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But man, have you thought about the stuff that didn't
- 9:40Speaker 1: happen to you? You can't account for I. For me,
- 9:44Speaker 1: that's been grace and I'm beneficiary of it. And that's
- 9:48Speaker 1: available to everybody that wants sun. Next time you're talking
- 9:52Speaker 1: to him, just check in with grace. See what that is.
- 9:54Speaker 1: That's that's better than money. You're listening, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:04Speaker 1: Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Lean on me

- 14:36Speaker 1: M come all right, so uh let me see if
- 14:40Speaker 1: I can paint the picture for you. Everybody knows I'm
- 14:42Speaker 1: a I'm a guy that likes to work out all
- 14:45Speaker 1: the time, try to keep myself in shape. So my
- 14:48Speaker 1: trainer actually got me a stretcher who stretches you once
- 14:52Speaker 1: a week. So this guy was stretching me and found
- 14:54Speaker 1: a lump on my neck and he had to push
- 14:57Speaker 1: a way down. He's been you got a lump on
- 14:59Speaker 1: your neck. You might want to get get that checked out.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I said, all right, cool, so I go get it
- 15:02Speaker 1: checked out, go to my primary doctor. And he says,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I don't know, but let's be safe. He sends me
- 15:08Speaker 1: to a your nose and throat doctor. Your nose and
- 15:11Speaker 1: throat doctor drains and then says, I think that's assist.
- 15:14Speaker 1: So he drains. He said, but let's be safe, and
- 15:17Speaker 1: he sends me to another doctor. They get a biopsy.
- 15:22Speaker 1: He said, we're gonna take some sales and see what
- 15:23Speaker 1: we get there. I don't get a call back. So
- 15:25Speaker 1: I'm in Miami shooting, ready to love. It's May eighteen.
- 15:29Speaker 1: My wife is there with me. We're having a good time.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Doctor calls and said, you have thyroid cancer. And I'm
- 15:38Speaker 1: just on the set. Man. I can't believe. If my
- 15:40Speaker 1: wife wouldn't have been with me that day, I don't
- 15:42Speaker 1: think I would have made it through. So I have
- 15:45Speaker 1: been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. You got my surgery done
- 15:49Speaker 1: in August to twenty fourth. They completely got it, every
- 15:52Speaker 1: bit of this cancer out of me. While they were
- 15:57Speaker 1: in there removing my thought roy, they found more cancer
- 16:02Speaker 1: in my esophagus and cleaned all that out. So I
- 16:06Speaker 1: told my wife. When I closed my eyes, I say,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I just want to wake up, but I just want
- 16:10Speaker 1: to see you looking at me. That's all I want.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I woke up. Wife is looking dead at me. He said,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you're good boy. You made it through every little bit
- 16:20Speaker 1: of it. It's gone all up. It your cancer free.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You don't even know chemo therapy, noney, that you're good.
- 16:27Speaker 1: But I don't know that they had to go through
- 16:30Speaker 1: my esophagus, she said. But then she say, but I say,
- 16:34Speaker 1: what is the butt? She said, you have a track
- 16:36Speaker 1: in your in your in your throat and it's gonna
- 16:40Speaker 1: have to be there for a minute. So I had
- 16:42Speaker 1: to have that for about three weeks. And I am
- 16:48Speaker 1: at this point cancer free. I am. You know, my
- 16:52Speaker 1: voice has been through a struggle, so now it's slowly
- 16:55Speaker 1: coming back. But by the grace of God, man, I'm
- 16:59Speaker 1: still Yeah, I'm blessed. Um. I think this is probably
- 17:05Speaker 1: one of them. This is the biggest task I've ever
- 17:09Speaker 1: had in my life ever. And I'm grateful for for
- 17:13Speaker 1: you guys, a radio family, praying for me, just being
- 17:17Speaker 1: able to have a job like this that allowed me
- 17:20Speaker 1: to go do something like that, and and you got
- 17:23Speaker 1: my back, man, So I'm I'm grateful. Um. It's amazing
- 17:29Speaker 1: when God puts you in time out and tell you
- 17:31Speaker 1: you gotta wait for a minute and put you on
- 17:34Speaker 1: mute and I've been on mute for about a month
- 17:40Speaker 1: and I'm slowly coming back. So um, I don't know
- 17:45Speaker 1: any other way to tell you, man, just to hear
- 17:49Speaker 1: Steve said all the time that God is into blessed business.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And kay, yes, sir, yes, okay, it's okay. We're so
- 17:58Speaker 1: glad you're here. Yeah, wow, okay, Well we're voice is
- 18:08Speaker 1: getting strong each day. So it's just it's just a
- 18:10Speaker 1: matter of time that folks yea bo i get back
- 18:14Speaker 1: to cussing and clowning and pranking folks. You But yeah,
- 18:22Speaker 1: he may not have been able to talk to us,
- 18:24Speaker 1: but you were texting, and I have noticed that you
- 18:28Speaker 1: haven't cussed since you've been back in me a little
- 18:32Speaker 1: bit out. Know, you probably don't want to waste none
- 18:35Speaker 1: of your voice on some ignorant words. But looking forward
- 18:38Speaker 1: to the day where you full blasting back to cussing,
- 18:42Speaker 1: that's crazy, man, because like you know, man, you don't
- 18:48Speaker 1: you don't ever know what's going on with people around you,
- 18:50Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. You know, you could be
- 18:52Speaker 1: just going alone, whistling along, and then this thing called
- 18:54Speaker 1: life come up, man, and it's just like, you know,
- 18:59Speaker 1: glad you're back, man, because like it ain't the same
- 19:03Speaker 1: when you ain't here. You know, Oh then you wasn't
- 19:08Speaker 1: here then, Junior, mister week because Junior went offer, Oh
- 19:14Speaker 1: you just you just you just lead just people just
- 19:17Speaker 1: come up missing. You just be leading people missing. Well
- 19:20Speaker 1: you know, you know, I mean we can come up missing.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I see, I based it on track record, so I
- 19:28Speaker 1: already knew wasn't nothing wrong. But then something really was
- 19:32Speaker 1: wrong because I went, I ain't I ain't gonna be
- 19:36Speaker 1: morning and all this ain't then wrong, And then I
- 19:38Speaker 1: found out something really was wrong, and then why you
- 19:40Speaker 1: was gonna Junior went away four a week, didn't tell
- 19:43Speaker 1: nobody nothing, just going for a week. Then his last
- 19:46Speaker 1: came back time and he married. Now, oh snap, this
- 19:51Speaker 1: little food went off. He went off and got married.
- 19:55Speaker 1: So now all of all the comedians, it's gone. Time.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I was here by myself. I just had to just man.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I was just doing what I wanted to do. You know,
- 20:04Speaker 1: Junior ass man wasn't doing sports or nothing. You know,
- 20:08Speaker 1: he needed marital advice. So now all of his Junior,
- 20:13Speaker 1: what's on your mind? Yeah, we are every morning. It's
- 20:17Speaker 1: been that so to have you back, man's a joy.
- 20:21Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about it a little bit more this morning,
- 20:23Speaker 1: because your story can be inspirational and help a lot
- 20:27Speaker 1: of people. And I think it's a story that need
- 20:29Speaker 1: peting and told because God is in the blessing business. Yes,
- 20:33Speaker 1: because you know, man, a lot of people get that
- 20:35Speaker 1: diagnosis and you and you know, and and they ain't
- 20:38Speaker 1: here no more. M right, Hello, that's how good God?
- 20:43Speaker 1: Ya Amen again? All right, Yes, Tommy is back. Uh

- 21:51Speaker 1: my cousin to come to visit. She brought her boyfriend,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and she had just met him a week before she came.
- 21:57Speaker 1: So I told her that he couldn't stay in my house.
- 22:00Speaker 1: She got mad and drove back home. What was I
- 22:02Speaker 1: wrong for this? No? No, really, not absolutely not. It's
- 22:09Speaker 1: your house. She don't even know him. You don't know him,
- 22:13Speaker 1: and she just told myhre he staying at you? She's
- 22:15Speaker 1: staying at your house. That's not how it works. Man.
- 22:19Speaker 1: People don't even understand order, and and and and and
- 22:22Speaker 1: just being civil towards one another. You bring a stranger
- 22:27Speaker 1: to your cousin's house, telling where he's staying here with me?
- 22:30Speaker 1: I just met him last week. Nobody waking up, standing,
- 22:33Speaker 1: nobody over their bed with no action. They had come
- 22:38Speaker 1: on high. You know y'all ain't going out of here
- 22:41Speaker 1: no more? No, now, come on, put your dirk taple
- 22:45Speaker 1: on your arms, mouth shut up crying now you know
- 22:47Speaker 1: you don't know me. No nobody fit to do that. No,
- 22:51Speaker 1: that's craziness, really, all right, um Sammy and Tribecca says,
- 22:56Speaker 1: I'm a thirty nine year old married man and I
- 22:58Speaker 1: have to share my wife with her male best friend,
- 23:01Speaker 1: which is very annoying. His husband is just as irritated
- 23:05Speaker 1: as I am with their friendship. And I had plans
- 23:08Speaker 1: to see a movie and she'd already seen it on
- 23:11Speaker 1: her lunch break with her bestie. How do I set
- 23:13Speaker 1: boundaries without offending them? Okay, excuse me? A married man,
- 23:20Speaker 1: married man, his wife has a best friend who's also
- 23:25Speaker 1: married to a man. It's a gay couple. Okay, I
- 23:29Speaker 1: don't give it. Damn. Yeah, the husband is irritated because
- 23:33Speaker 1: the wife spends more time with the bestie with their
- 23:36Speaker 1: best friend. I don't give a damn if he married
- 23:39Speaker 1: to several men. That ain't none of my bits. You
- 23:41Speaker 1: can do what you want, right, But do you spending
- 23:45Speaker 1: so much time with him over husband? Yeah? You know,
- 23:50Speaker 1: Many'll find something else to do. He got a husband,
- 23:54Speaker 1: Go to movie with him. You got a husband, go
- 23:57Speaker 1: to movie with your husband. Don't make no sense, man,
- 24:00Speaker 1: I keep man? Okay, Yeah, male and female, These opposite
- 24:07Speaker 1: sex friendships lead to problems. That's your bestie, man, get
- 24:13Speaker 1: another bestie? What girls at So the question is he
- 24:18Speaker 1: wants to know Steve, how does he set boundaries? He's
- 24:21Speaker 1: worried about offending them. How do I set boundaries? Yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. I know who offends. I'm offended. No, no, no, no,
- 24:30Speaker 1: I'll tell you what we're gonna do, all us. There
- 24:34Speaker 1: you go. I'm gonna treat that off that offensive thing
- 24:38Speaker 1: gonna fit to be like peanut butter. Don't finn to
- 24:40Speaker 1: get a sm on everybody breath, spread it around. You know,
- 24:44Speaker 1: When I make my peanut butter sandwich, I put the
- 24:46Speaker 1: peanut butter all the way to the edge. You can't
- 24:50Speaker 1: see no bread on my I spreads my peanut butter. Now,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I don't get the jelly all the way to the
- 24:59Speaker 1: edge because I don't want it leaking out. But they
- 25:01Speaker 1: put a thick Yeah, I'm spreading this officially. He don't
- 25:07Speaker 1: want to fear nobody, man, please fear Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 25:15Speaker 1: all right. Moving on to Joanne and Indiana, Joanne writes,
- 25:18Speaker 1: my husband was ill for three years before he died.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Before he died, I started dating someone else. My marriage
- 25:27Speaker 1: had been over for years, but I stayed with my
- 25:30Speaker 1: husband because he was sick. My boyfriend moved in two
- 25:34Speaker 1: weeks after my husband died. His mom thinks I'm dead? Wrong,
- 25:39Speaker 1: Do I owe her an explanation? Well, I'm gonna tell
- 25:42Speaker 1: you right now. It ain't a good look, right two weeks.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I'm just telling you right now now. I know the
- 25:49Speaker 1: man was probably six six incapacitated or something, and you
- 25:55Speaker 1: should have gave it a little more time cause of
- 25:57Speaker 1: the way it looked. But who we after he moved in? Yeah, damn?
- 26:06Speaker 1: What was all the neighbors saying? They ain't even lowered
- 26:08Speaker 1: the casket in the ground. Again, they don't even put
- 26:11Speaker 1: all the dirt on it. It's still got that green
- 26:15Speaker 1: astro turf rounded and all the night after the Oh
- 26:24Speaker 1: my god, here's the key word. He isn't even cold yet.
- 26:31Speaker 1: That's where people wrong that though, Oh he ice cold,
- 26:38Speaker 1: y'all quit saying that on the body ain't even cold? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 26:43Speaker 1: a matter of fact, when you die, you called that
- 26:45Speaker 1: first morning goodness many up by your finger and she
- 26:55Speaker 1: oh the mom and explanation whose mother? His mother? His mother?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Does she owe her an explanation? Yeah? His mama tripping
- 27:06Speaker 1: like what two after my son? She already know this
- 27:11Speaker 1: was going on. While he was sick. But nobody understands
- 27:16Speaker 1: that about life. So you just gotta tell a mom. Look,
- 27:23Speaker 1: you might, you might, but no matter what you say,
- 27:26Speaker 1: how you think it's gonna go with his mother? She'd
- 27:31Speaker 1: lost her son? Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's gonna hate you forever.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Why don't you move in with him? There you go.
- 27:42Speaker 1: He ain't got nothing now he all up in her son.
- 27:44Speaker 1: How girl used to be involved in the drive Oh god, yeah.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Then when they started frying shots up in the house.
- 27:59Speaker 1: If I was him, I moved back to my house.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I have to let some time cool. That ain't gone. Yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 1: every time they pull out the driveway and go to
- 28:09Speaker 1: church or shopping's goater forever? All right? Moving on last one.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Cammie in Toronto says, I'm a beginning swimmer and my
- 28:18Speaker 1: boyfriend is a professional diver. I learned to swim, but
- 28:21Speaker 1: I hate being in water. We're going on vacation. He's
- 28:24Speaker 1: planning water activities for us. He's forcing me to face
- 28:27Speaker 1: my fears. Should I make my own plans? Yeah, well
- 28:32Speaker 1: you're gonna die on this vacation? Yeah yeah, yeah, he'd
- 28:37Speaker 1: he have to say, your ass all eat day and
- 28:43Speaker 1: water sports? What is he doing that, But I love
- 28:48Speaker 1: going on the water, huh. In a the water trips
- 28:52Speaker 1: out and took out a jet ski three times. Last
- 28:57Speaker 1: time I just went circle. The boat came right on. Yes,
- 29:01Speaker 1: we saw it on your Yeah, all right, thanks Philo.
- 29:07Speaker 1: We gotta wrap this up. Coming up at the top
- 29:08Speaker 1: of the hour. We'll have some entertainment news for you
- 29:11Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Buston.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Celtics coach Emia Duca has been suspended for the twenty
- 29:21Speaker 1: twenty two twenty three season for violating team policy, which
- 29:26Speaker 1: reportedly was due to an inappropriate and consensual relationship with
- 29:30Speaker 1: a female member of the Celtics staff. Late last week,
- 29:34Speaker 1: xix X NBA star player and commentator Matt Barnes posted
- 29:40Speaker 1: a video of himself talking about Uduca's suspension, and he
- 29:44Speaker 1: said it was a terrible decision for him to be suspended.
- 29:49Speaker 1: He has since posted another video retracting his support for Duca,
- 29:54Speaker 1: and he explains why take a listen and I clearly
- 29:57Speaker 1: have to stay last night without knowing all this facts,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I spoke on email Eudoka's defense and after finding out
- 30:05Speaker 1: the facts. After I spoke, I raced what I posted
- 30:08Speaker 1: because this situation in Boston is deep, it's messy, it's
- 30:13Speaker 1: a hundred times uglier than any of us thought. And
- 30:19Speaker 1: that's why I raced what I said. Uh, some thing's
- 30:22Speaker 1: happened that I can't condone. I can't back and it's
- 30:28Speaker 1: not my place to tell you what happened. If it
- 30:30Speaker 1: ends up coming out, it ends up coming out. But
- 30:32Speaker 1: that was the reason why I raced my post last night,
- 30:35Speaker 1: because after I posted it, I got a call from
- 30:38Speaker 1: someone who had all the details and it's deep. So man,
- 30:43Speaker 1: praying for everybody involved. Um, you know, hope everyone gets
- 30:47Speaker 1: through this. If he retract it's mate. It's the same
- 30:52Speaker 1: version role from Frisco. Same y'all. See, I was asking
- 31:02Speaker 1: a problem where his level of forgiveness then went off. Yeah,
- 31:08Speaker 1: now I can't forgive. I'm been gonna win with man
- 31:11Speaker 1: because your whole marriage played out in the NBA. The
- 31:15Speaker 1: whole thing of it is, Man, It's just it's sad
- 31:19Speaker 1: because of the Internet now that all these problems have
- 31:22Speaker 1: to get added out. All dirty laundry is now aired
- 31:25Speaker 1: out publicly, and it don't give you a chance to
- 31:28Speaker 1: rest nothing. And that's the sad part of all of this.
- 31:32Speaker 1: But what, however ugly and whatever information you found out,
- 31:36Speaker 1: can I tell you something it ain't nothing new? Yeah, okay,
- 31:42Speaker 1: this because let me whatever it is. There are no
- 31:50Speaker 1: allegations right now of any an appropriate sexual advances, you know,
- 31:59Speaker 1: and so you know, I don't really know all the facts.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I'm just I just watch how people are so ready
- 32:06Speaker 1: to jump on the beating him up bandwagon and let's
- 32:11Speaker 1: cancel him and get him to lose his job because
- 32:15Speaker 1: he did something a whole lot of humans. Dude, Hey, Steve,
- 32:20Speaker 1: let me ask you this and the guys, Junior, Tommy,
- 32:23Speaker 1: what is he? A great coach? Is a good coach?
- 32:27Speaker 1: That's what I want to know. Yeah, I know the
- 32:30Speaker 1: one too. Yeah. I remember Nia being just being there
- 32:34Speaker 1: cheering him on all of that. He's just not a
- 32:37Speaker 1: good cheater. He just didn't know what he was. That's
- 32:42Speaker 1: what we missed. Yeah, yeah, that effer perspective to what
- 32:51Speaker 1: you do. I give you another example. Okay, Sean Watson
- 32:57Speaker 1: can get all the massages you won't. He just got
- 33:02Speaker 1: to stop turning over all his trouble star, stay on
- 33:13Speaker 1: your stomach. Damn. Massarick heard it over to Sean. A
- 33:20Speaker 1: lot of coach team. To answer your question, surely is
- 33:23Speaker 1: a great coach he got he got he got a
- 33:26Speaker 1: very young team to the NBA Final and they love him. Yeah, okay,
- 33:33Speaker 1: call it because he's out. What my question is, have
- 33:36Speaker 1: you been hearing like I saw Stephen A. Smith talk
- 33:39Speaker 1: about this on ESPN, the fact that he because he
- 33:43Speaker 1: is African American, We know that there are things that
- 33:45Speaker 1: go on the NBA, NFL, all types of leagues, behavior
- 33:49Speaker 1: of coaches, of players. But the fact that we know
- 33:53Speaker 1: about this, did the Celtics organization leak this out? And
- 33:56Speaker 1: now this man is being dragging like you want to
- 34:00Speaker 1: public opinion? This is a that I have about it.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I don't think that the Celtics basketball organization would want
- 34:09Speaker 1: this hour. I think because of the Me Too movement
- 34:14Speaker 1: and women's rights now. I think when that affair got
- 34:17Speaker 1: out in the office and people found out, I think
- 34:22Speaker 1: that was an uproar within the organization involving people who
- 34:28Speaker 1: had nothing to do with the affair accusing him because
- 34:33Speaker 1: he was in the head coach position and this girl
- 34:36Speaker 1: was in a subservient position that he should not have
- 34:39Speaker 1: done that. Now he was wrong, but legally, what did
- 34:45Speaker 1: he do and when you get people coming out because
- 34:51Speaker 1: they don't. You can't do that to her. And all
- 34:54Speaker 1: is here and the woman ain't said nothing, is it?
- 34:58Speaker 1: Is it just one lady? There's so many different rumors
- 35:02Speaker 1: about who it is. Yeah, for the Celtics organ right,
- 35:07Speaker 1: I just I smell a white woman, carl. I just
- 35:09Speaker 1: I don't know why. I just feel like, wait a
- 35:12Speaker 1: minute and lost time. We gotta say this though, And
- 35:20Speaker 1: the fact that it was on our girl. He cheated
- 35:23Speaker 1: on our girl Nia Long. Now we loved me a
- 35:26Speaker 1: long queen, if we loved Ni Along. We're mad for her.
- 35:31Speaker 1: We're mad with her, We stand with her, We love
- 35:34Speaker 1: us some Nia Long. Yeah, and she's serious. Yeah, for
- 35:39Speaker 1: their support and everything. Yeah, they share together, they share
- 35:44Speaker 1: a son together. All of that all right, coming up
- 35:47Speaker 1: in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have some music
- 35:50Speaker 1: news with our girl Carla. Right after this. You're listening
- 35:54Speaker 1: to show, all right, So we've been talking about this
- 35:59Speaker 1: whole Boston Celtics coach Emi a Duca and his cheating
- 36:03Speaker 1: on Nia Long and all of that, and you know
- 36:06Speaker 1: the circumstances. We don't know much about it, but we
- 36:09Speaker 1: do know that we love us TONI along. We do
- 36:12Speaker 1: know that Nia Long and Emi Aduka have been engaged
- 36:16Speaker 1: since twenty fifteen. She broke her silence about the alleged
- 36:19Speaker 1: affair in an interview with People magazine, saying, quote the
- 36:23Speaker 1: outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and a
- 36:26Speaker 1: community during this difficult time it means so much to me.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I asked that my privacy be respected as I process
- 36:33Speaker 1: the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and
- 36:37Speaker 1: will continue to focus on my children. The couple share
- 36:41Speaker 1: a son together, and Nia has an older son from
- 36:43Speaker 1: a previous relationship. Source as close to the Celtics told
- 36:46Speaker 1: TMZ Sports that Nia had just permanently moved to Boston
- 36:50Speaker 1: two weeks ago and that she and Uduka were house hunting. Right,
- 36:55Speaker 1: So this is just a mess. It just really is.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I mean, go ahead, I was just saying. Then there's
- 37:02Speaker 1: a rumor on TMZ saying the woman that helped coordinate
- 37:06Speaker 1: that travel is it's part of this scandal. She could
- 37:11Speaker 1: be the woman. So it makes it even more like
- 37:14Speaker 1: what kind of too Yeah, yeah, so we don't know
- 37:21Speaker 1: what that's true, like that where you know where everybody
- 37:23Speaker 1: at dirty, but you know what though, See it's like
- 37:30Speaker 1: this first of all, this shouldn't even be a news story.
- 37:34Speaker 1: That have been no criminal charges pressed. There have been
- 37:39Speaker 1: no criminal accusations. So now what we are just been
- 37:44Speaker 1: privy to is we off into some We are privy
- 37:46Speaker 1: to some people's personal lives, right that have been stories
- 37:52Speaker 1: of infidelity everywhere, yea, and people work through it and
- 37:57Speaker 1: keep their life back in check. You know, I don't
- 38:01Speaker 1: know this man at all, except I'm a fan of
- 38:05Speaker 1: his is on the basketball court and I saw Nia
- 38:08Speaker 1: at the game, and I've always been a fan of Nils,
- 38:11Speaker 1: and so you know, I was just like wow, pulling
- 38:14Speaker 1: for him. And then the question became, they've been engaged
- 38:18Speaker 1: since twenty fifteen, why they not married yet? Because things
- 38:22Speaker 1: are not in order anymore. People don't live their lives
- 38:25Speaker 1: in no order no more. Should you get married become subjective?
- 38:29Speaker 1: It's not there's no order to this anymore. So I
- 38:32Speaker 1: wish they could get a chance to work it out,
- 38:34Speaker 1: because it don't have to be relationships. And then some
- 38:38Speaker 1: people say it is that our women go. If you
- 38:40Speaker 1: cheat on me, I'm out. But did they find a house?
- 38:45Speaker 1: At least they have somewhere to stay out? Nobody want
- 38:49Speaker 1: to saying Boston right now, Tommy. Tommy's back somewhere. I mean,
- 38:58Speaker 1: we're gonna go through something that through some in a
- 39:00Speaker 1: nice house. This was halle Berry. Tommy, be right there
- 39:05Speaker 1: with me. Uh, we're gonna go talk to Jesus and
- 39:08Speaker 1: we'll be back in a minute. Right after this, you're
- 39:13Speaker 1: listening show all right? It is fall now and sister
- 39:19Speaker 1: Hoteil drop by, um wait here, you know, come morning everyone.
- 39:35Speaker 1: I'm not gonna take up a lot of time doing
- 39:37Speaker 1: the praise and worship service. I just want to do them.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I'm when I come on the radio, I had to
- 39:43Speaker 1: be more business. I've been told, you know, just get
- 39:46Speaker 1: to the what you call it? Said missus, Hey Colline
- 39:52Speaker 1: Shelley or miss Simmy Junior. Man, Hey boy you back, Yes, ma'am.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I heard you was not doing well. Look at God.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Yes he's killed your body. You came some free. Yes man,
- 40:05Speaker 1: you're saying, oh, that ain't nothing but the Lord. That's
- 40:11Speaker 1: all it is. Because you know eight of my husband's
- 40:14Speaker 1: just passed from cansel. Oh okay, I didn't all of
- 40:20Speaker 1: them didn't. They had it. They didn't all die from it?
- 40:22Speaker 1: To them, was any cocks and dies? I choked one
- 40:24Speaker 1: of them. This is where Wait, Well, I choked and
- 40:31Speaker 1: wilyhead counsel. Then I just go a pay minute. When
- 40:34Speaker 1: they came to the house, he passed, can we get
- 40:38Speaker 1: to wire here? I don't know what it is. We're
- 40:41Speaker 1: her phone. Well, we wanted to ask you a question,
- 40:44Speaker 1: you know, the saying, um, uh no white before Memorial Day,
- 40:50Speaker 1: no white after Labor Day. So think things how you're
- 40:54Speaker 1: a mother of the church and you wear white all
- 40:56Speaker 1: the time. Yeah, does this put you in a dilemma?
- 41:00Speaker 1: Will you never have never? White? White? White? White white?
- 41:06Speaker 1: I'm a missionary and that's the color. I'm a missionary.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I ain't saying nothing to that girl, Lisa Ray What
- 41:15Speaker 1: is you over here? Phone? Lisa rayin in no church. No,
- 41:23Speaker 1: we don't know that. I care you where. Whether she
- 41:25Speaker 1: do come, she gonna be seating people. Be an usher.
- 41:31Speaker 1: That's if you wear it on the first because that's
- 41:33Speaker 1: how colors on the first Because you know, I'm on
- 41:35Speaker 1: the missionary board and the Usher boat and first Sunday
- 41:39Speaker 1: we wear white. Everybody called it a white out, all right.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I just wanted to be clear on that. The other
- 41:49Speaker 1: thing is, do you have any advice for uh Nia long?
- 41:53Speaker 1: You know, um, where you know, I feel sorry for
- 41:56Speaker 1: she's such a pretty girl and young and everything. But
- 42:00Speaker 1: you know you can work through a husband that has
- 42:02Speaker 1: a moment's empathy. You know, huh, That's what I've seen
- 42:08Speaker 1: for there, just a lot of making. What do you mean? Well,
- 42:14Speaker 1: you know, if you just let people's work through it
- 42:16Speaker 1: they self, they can work on you. I asked several
- 42:18Speaker 1: husbands that was that had done some things outside of
- 42:21Speaker 1: our relationship. Oh, how hand when I kicked the girl
- 42:26Speaker 1: ass own to make you feel better at least if
- 42:31Speaker 1: its need of gone a man kiss, I asked, you
- 42:34Speaker 1: feel a whole lot that about it then, and then
- 42:36Speaker 1: created him. I'm gonna kick my ass and go over
- 42:39Speaker 1: that again. See what happened to you? I need all
- 42:42Speaker 1: that money brought in here for me, your kids, And
- 42:45Speaker 1: now you shut up. He ain't liowed to talk at
- 42:49Speaker 1: the house for two years and then you know, you
- 42:52Speaker 1: go where you want to go. You know, when you guys,
- 42:55Speaker 1: you can get some things you had never got before.
- 42:57Speaker 1: They still love each other. He got made them stay.
- 43:00Speaker 1: He's a main You know he made a mistake. But
- 43:03Speaker 1: you in this fast world now, you know, women's cheat.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Everybody mad at him. That gun ain't louse hut nothing.
- 43:11Speaker 1: We know she probably still buy tickets and placing people.
- 43:16Speaker 1: M Unca dobbo. He ain't got the he woa dobbock
- 43:23Speaker 1: adua unca dobbo the domain the coach. Yeah, Indian duke.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Uh huh emy a duker. That's his name. Oh I knew,
- 43:35Speaker 1: Oh I that email dude, I knew his grandfather. Did
- 43:39Speaker 1: you big dadda do that down? Then that's a big dadda.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Do that down. Then his daddy's name will look here,
- 43:51Speaker 1: and then they named his son. Right now that he
- 43:55Speaker 1: goes out, all right, we'll have more of Hardy Morning
- 44:03Speaker 1: Show coming out. Hi, and just a minute right after
- 44:10Speaker 1: this you're listening to Morning Show if you're just joining us. Nephew,
- 44:17Speaker 1: Tommy is back and we're going to find out where
- 44:21Speaker 1: he's been. We're so happy that you're back, Tommy. We
- 44:23Speaker 1: didn't just say this hill. Oh. I found out two
- 44:29Speaker 1: days after what had happened. And Tommy's been out, now
- 44:33Speaker 1: how long, ladies? Maybe he'd been out a month and
- 44:42Speaker 1: and we ain't had a lot of people where Tommy what? Yeah,
- 44:45Speaker 1: what he'd have did? Now? Will I know? Yes, ladies
- 44:52Speaker 1: and gentlemen, Nephew Tommy man, how do I even start? Um?
- 44:57Speaker 1: Thank god, that's first of almost m all right, so
- 45:05Speaker 1: let me see if I can paint the picture for you.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Everybody knows I'm a I'm a guy that likes to
- 45:10Speaker 1: work out all the time, try to keep myself in shape.
- 45:14Speaker 1: So my trainer actually got me a stretcher who stretches
- 45:18Speaker 1: you once a week. So this guy was stretching me
- 45:20Speaker 1: and found a lump on my neck and he had
- 45:23Speaker 1: to push way out. He send, you got a lump
- 45:25Speaker 1: on your neck. You might want to get that checked out.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I said, all right, cool, So I go get it
- 45:28Speaker 1: checked out. Go to my primary doctor, and he says,
- 45:32Speaker 1: I don't know, but let's be safe. She sends me
- 45:34Speaker 1: to a your nose and throat doctor. Your nose and
- 45:37Speaker 1: throat doctor drains and then says, I think that's a cist.
- 45:40Speaker 1: So he trains. He said, but let's be safe, and
- 45:43Speaker 1: he sends me to another doctor. They get a biopsy.
- 45:48Speaker 1: He said, we're gonna take some sales and see what
- 45:49Speaker 1: we get there. I don't get a call back. So
- 45:51Speaker 1: I'm in Miami shooting, ready to love. It's May eighteen.
- 45:55Speaker 1: My wife is there with me. We're having a good time.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Doctor calls and says, you have thyroid cancer. And I'm
- 46:04Speaker 1: just on the set. Man. I can't believe. If my
- 46:06Speaker 1: wife wouldn't have been with me that day, I don't
- 46:08Speaker 1: think I would have made it through. So I have
- 46:11Speaker 1: been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, got my surgery done in
- 46:15Speaker 1: August to twenty four. They completely got it, every bit
- 46:19Speaker 1: of this cancer out of me. While they were in
- 46:23Speaker 1: there removing my thyroid, they found more cancer in my
- 46:28Speaker 1: esophagus and cleaned all that out. So I told my
- 46:33Speaker 1: wife when I closed my eyes, I say, I just
- 46:35Speaker 1: want to wake up, and I just want to see
- 46:37Speaker 1: you looking at me. That's all I want. I woke up.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Wife is looking dead at me. You say, you're good boy.
- 46:44Speaker 1: You made it through every little bit of it. It's
- 46:47Speaker 1: gone all up. It your cancer free. You don't even
- 46:50Speaker 1: know chemotherapy, none of that. You good. But I don't
- 46:54Speaker 1: know that they had to go through my esophagus, she said.
- 46:58Speaker 1: But then she say, but say what is the butt?
- 47:01Speaker 1: He said, you have a track in your in your
- 47:04Speaker 1: in your throat and it's gonna have to be there
- 47:06Speaker 1: for a minute. So I had to have that for
- 47:09Speaker 1: about three weeks and I am at this point cancer free.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I am. You know, my voice has been through a struggle,
- 47:20Speaker 1: so now it's slowly coming back. But by the grace
- 47:24Speaker 1: of God, man, I'm still here. I'm blessed. Um. I
- 47:30Speaker 1: think this is probably one of them. This is the
- 47:32Speaker 1: biggest task I've ever had in my life ever. And
- 47:37Speaker 1: I'm grateful for for you guys, a radio family, praying
- 47:42Speaker 1: for me, just being able to have a job like
- 47:45Speaker 1: this that allowed me to go do something like that,
- 47:47Speaker 1: and and you got my back, man, So I'm I'm grateful.
- 47:53Speaker 1: It's amazing when God puts you in time out and
- 47:57Speaker 1: tell you you gotta wait for a minute and put
- 47:59Speaker 1: you on mute. And I've been on mute for about
- 48:04Speaker 1: a month and I'm slowly coming back. So um, I
- 48:10Speaker 1: don't know any other way to tell you, man, Just
- 48:14Speaker 1: to hear Steve said all the time that God is
- 48:16Speaker 1: in the blessed business. And okay, yes, sir, yes, okay,
- 48:21Speaker 1: it's okay. We're so glad you're back. Well, hey man, listen, bro,
- 48:25Speaker 1: we show glad you're back and everything, man. And I
- 48:28Speaker 1: think it's I think you opening up and sharing your
- 48:32Speaker 1: story with so many people. First of all, it's a
- 48:35Speaker 1: great testimony. You know. Yeah, like I was saying to
- 48:39Speaker 1: you before, Man, a lot of times God passes us
- 48:44Speaker 1: through these tests for the testimony, and you got a
- 48:48Speaker 1: mic man. And there are a lot of people as
- 48:51Speaker 1: getting this diagnosis, and it's a lot of people gonna
- 48:54Speaker 1: get this diagnosis. And everybody don't have to think it's
- 48:58Speaker 1: the end because millions of people survived this. So what
- 49:04Speaker 1: let me ask you a question, man, what's been your
- 49:07Speaker 1: attitude about getting better? And what's been your attitude through
- 49:12Speaker 1: the whole processes when you heard it? What was your attitude?
- 49:17Speaker 1: I just I just weren't gonna give up. I just,
- 49:19Speaker 1: I just, I just refused to give up. I just
- 49:22Speaker 1: had to desire to to beat it, to do whatever
- 49:25Speaker 1: I gotta do. I mean, especially when you got you know,
- 49:28Speaker 1: I got a beautiful family, man, wife, kids, I got
- 49:30Speaker 1: a lot to live for it. I love my job.
- 49:32Speaker 1: I love doing what I do for a living. So
- 49:35Speaker 1: I'm my whole mindset is I will I will not
- 49:40Speaker 1: let you defeat me. It wouldn't. I will not let
- 49:42Speaker 1: it happen. So I just kept fighting every man, every
- 49:45Speaker 1: morning I wake up. I'm just I was in fighting
- 49:48Speaker 1: mode the whole time, and I'm still waking up every morning.
- 49:51Speaker 1: Let me ask you, did the doctors say anything to
- 49:56Speaker 1: you or like this is the mindset you have to
- 49:59Speaker 1: have or did you just decide that yourself. Did you
- 50:02Speaker 1: get anything from them along the mental requirements? You can?
- 50:07Speaker 1: You can, you can. You can talk to people from
- 50:10Speaker 1: a mental perspective if you need to. But but you know, man,
- 50:13Speaker 1: I have my wife there, I have my mother there.
- 50:16Speaker 1: I had some soldiers with me. I like, you never
- 50:18Speaker 1: know how big your village is until something happens to you.
- 50:22Speaker 1: And I was able to see how big my village was,
- 50:26Speaker 1: how many people really had my back and I and
- 50:29Speaker 1: I just you know, I just I just felt my
- 50:31Speaker 1: father coming up out of me, like I'm not I'm
- 50:34Speaker 1: not giving up. I got too much to live for.
- 50:39Speaker 1: What you're saying is true. You don't know how big
- 50:42Speaker 1: your village is to your hut on fire exactly. You
- 50:50Speaker 1: find out who in the village. Until your hut on fire,
- 50:55Speaker 1: you have no idea who in the village even care,
- 50:58Speaker 1: who coming with water, who pulling you out, who coming
- 51:03Speaker 1: in to get you. That's an amazing statement. You know what, man,
- 51:06Speaker 1: I say this to you, Steve, It's not until something
- 51:09Speaker 1: happens that you start to respect the gift that God
- 51:15Speaker 1: has given you. You know what I'm saying, just just
- 51:17Speaker 1: the gift. I mean, these, these two vocal cords I
- 51:21Speaker 1: got mean the world to me. And this this just
- 51:25Speaker 1: just that gift alone. Man. I think I think back
- 51:28Speaker 1: in the past, how much how many times I've taken
- 51:31Speaker 1: that gift for granted? How many times I just expected
- 51:34Speaker 1: it to be that? Hey, time to doing the whole time?
- 51:37Speaker 1: How long were you silent? Though? Man? I was silent?
- 51:43Speaker 1: Probably a good three weeks to a month. Just don't
- 51:46Speaker 1: straight silent? Wow, and and and and you know, man,
- 51:52Speaker 1: to have to write down everything on the board and
- 51:55Speaker 1: tell everybody what you want, what you're trying to do,
- 51:57Speaker 1: it's it's, uh, that's a whole different world, man, Oh
- 52:03Speaker 1: different world. Let me let's go back for a moment. Tommy.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I want to ask you something. How did you You
- 52:07Speaker 1: didn't have any pain initially or anything? You knew nothing?
- 52:11Speaker 1: I had nothing. All I did was I was just
- 52:14Speaker 1: trying to y'all know me. I'm always trying to lose
- 52:16Speaker 1: weight before it's time to shoot the TV show. So
- 52:19Speaker 1: I had got stretching me. He just felt something way
- 52:22Speaker 1: down in my neck while you straight. I mean you
- 52:24Speaker 1: got a little lump there, yea, I said, okay, you
- 52:26Speaker 1: said that. He said it might not be much, but
- 52:29Speaker 1: you know, go get it checked out. I got it
- 52:31Speaker 1: checked out. So one doctor started it from sending me
- 52:35Speaker 1: this place, this place, that place. Finally they did a
- 52:39Speaker 1: biopsy and when they called me, they said, hey, you
- 52:42Speaker 1: you have thyroid cancer. And I was just I was devastated.
- 52:48Speaker 1: But yeah, immediately I got in picked me up mode.
- 52:53Speaker 1: All right, let's let's not let's let's let's get into
- 52:56Speaker 1: the fight mode. But I wouldn't say this, no pity party. Man.
- 53:02Speaker 1: I'm coming back. My voice is getting better each day.
- 53:06Speaker 1: If you hear I'm coming to your city, you better
- 53:08Speaker 1: get them tickets because I got a story to tell. Yeah,
- 53:14Speaker 1: yoke for a man. All right, nephew, glad you're back.

- 54:04Speaker 1: hear that right? I know, right like you don't want
- 54:09Speaker 1: to hear that subject My thank you, nephew, welcome back again.
- 54:16Speaker 1: My wife's co worker's feet is the subject. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:20Speaker 1: I'm a fifty five year old married man and my
- 54:22Speaker 1: wife and I work in the same building, but for
- 54:25Speaker 1: different companies. I'm able to dress down for work, but
- 54:28Speaker 1: my wife has to always dress up and be jazzy
- 54:31Speaker 1: because she interacts with the public. Her office is full
- 54:35Speaker 1: of dime pieces in their early thirties, and everything on
- 54:38Speaker 1: these women is right where it needs to be, if
- 54:42Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Me and my coworkers love
- 54:45Speaker 1: to sit in the courtyard watching the women come and go.
- 54:48Speaker 1: I started following one of the ladies on I g
- 54:51Speaker 1: because She is a most beautiful woman I've ever seen,
- 54:54Speaker 1: and on top of that, she smiles and makes eye
- 54:57Speaker 1: contact with me whenever I see her. What I love
- 55:01Speaker 1: most about her is her pretty feet. They're the sexiest
- 55:05Speaker 1: part of her, and they had their own Instagram page.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I secretly looked at her ig footpage for months until
- 55:13Speaker 1: my wife saw me and took my phone. She kept
- 55:16Speaker 1: my phone for two days and I was a nervous
- 55:18Speaker 1: wreck when I got it back. I made a fake
- 55:21Speaker 1: IG page so I can see pictures of my wife's
- 55:24Speaker 1: co workers pretty feet without my wife knowing it. I
- 55:27Speaker 1: thought I had outsmart at her this time, but she
- 55:30Speaker 1: caught me again. She went into my settings and found
- 55:33Speaker 1: the fake ig account attached to my real account, and
- 55:36Speaker 1: I was busted again. She saw all of the mojis
- 55:40Speaker 1: and the comments that I left under her co worker's pictures,
- 55:43Speaker 1: and she started crying. She didn't react how I thought
- 55:47Speaker 1: she would at all. She told me that my actions
- 55:50Speaker 1: made her feel unpretty and undervalued. That broke my heart,
- 55:55Speaker 1: and I cried too. How can I hurt my soul
- 55:58Speaker 1: mate like this? I saw this harmless entertainment, but now
- 56:02Speaker 1: she's so hurt and broken because of me, how do
- 56:05Speaker 1: I restore my wife's confidence in herself and in me. Okay,
- 56:11Speaker 1: let me get this straight. You're about to ruin your marriage,
- 56:16Speaker 1: and all this is over some feet. You've got to
- 56:20Speaker 1: be kidding me. I mean, I know people have all
- 56:23Speaker 1: kinds of fetishes, and food fetishes are big, and people
- 56:26Speaker 1: are really into feet. But to do what you did
- 56:29Speaker 1: this was just so stupid. I mean, yeah, you say
- 56:33Speaker 1: you like her feet, but admitted you like her too,
- 56:36Speaker 1: and you went too far. I mean you're stalking her
- 56:39Speaker 1: on Instagram and commenting and putting little emojis on her page.
- 56:43Speaker 1: This woman, your colleague works. Your wife's colleague works in
- 56:46Speaker 1: the same building and place as your wife, and this
- 56:49Speaker 1: is right under your wife's nose. It's disrespectful. And now
- 56:52Speaker 1: your wife's hurt and feels undervalued and unpretty, like she said,
- 56:58Speaker 1: and she doesn't try stew and rightfully so so this
- 57:02Speaker 1: was not harmless entertainment as you call it. And now
- 57:06Speaker 1: your wife is blaming herself, which a lot of women
- 57:08Speaker 1: do when their men do things like this. And it's
- 57:10Speaker 1: not the wives, it's just that their husbands, you know,
- 57:14Speaker 1: get stupid. I mean, you created a problem in your
- 57:17Speaker 1: marriage where there was none. So now it's your job
- 57:20Speaker 1: you ask how you can fix this. Now it's your
- 57:22Speaker 1: job to do everything you can to reassure your wife
- 57:25Speaker 1: that she did nothing wrong. You have to ask her
- 57:28Speaker 1: how you can possibly make this up to her and
- 57:32Speaker 1: do what she says. And you're gonna have to be
- 57:34Speaker 1: patient with your wife as you guys work through this.
- 57:37Speaker 1: And in the meantime, you got to stay off Instagram,
- 57:40Speaker 1: stay out of the courtyard with the fellas checking out
- 57:43Speaker 1: the women, and stop making eye contact with this woman,
- 57:46Speaker 1: leave her alone, focus on your wife and your marriage,
- 57:50Speaker 1: and just stop doing stupid stuff, because this was stupid.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Steve for real mirth, surely say it at best, even
- 58:00Speaker 1: lose your wife over some damn feet and you stupid.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Ain't no food like an old food, and you just
- 58:15Speaker 1: old food. Let me tell you how stupid you. I'm
- 58:22Speaker 1: anna fify you, old man. Man. My wife and I
- 58:24Speaker 1: work in the same damn bill. I'd have been quit
- 58:29Speaker 1: that job long time ago. Really transfer me out, put
- 58:34Speaker 1: me across town something. Your wife always gotta dress up
- 58:40Speaker 1: and be jazzy because she interacts to the public. You
- 58:44Speaker 1: able to dress down for work her office. This is
- 58:46Speaker 1: how I know you old, her office full of dime pieces.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Put the hell say that we are and we are old?
- 58:55Speaker 1: Dude that thank he a player to see that's your
- 58:58Speaker 1: real problem. The dime pieces in their early thirties, and
- 59:02Speaker 1: everything on these women's right where it need to be,
- 59:05Speaker 1: if you know what I mean? Now we don't what
- 59:09Speaker 1: sits whe they started moving people lass around on their stomach.
- 59:14Speaker 1: The last time you've seen the one with some breasts
- 59:16Speaker 1: on her knee? Kelp? What do that mean? And everything
- 59:20Speaker 1: on these women is the right where it need to be? Where? What? What?
- 59:25Speaker 1: You don't even know how to describe being a player
- 59:27Speaker 1: with your old man, if you know what I mean? No,
- 59:32Speaker 1: I don't know what you mean. Hell you mean think
- 59:35Speaker 1: a ass statement. Me and my co workers love to
- 59:38Speaker 1: sit in the courtyard. Or ain't nobody gonna see that?
- 59:42Speaker 1: You and your co workers sitting in the court yard
- 59:43Speaker 1: watching women come and go. I started following one of
- 59:46Speaker 1: the ladies on ig because she's the most beautiful woman
- 59:49Speaker 1: I've ever seen. And on top of that, she smiles
- 59:51Speaker 1: and make eye contact with me whenever I see her.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Now she don't, Now she don't, that's your damn imagination.
- 59:59Speaker 1: She'll eye contact a smile at you, well you know,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: she cock eys. She's smiling at the man next to you.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Hold on, Steve, hold on that your old ass damn pieces.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's strawberry letter subject
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: my wife's co worker's fate. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening morning show. All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: let's recap today's crazy strawberry letter and finish up with
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: your response. The subject is my wife's co worker's feet.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: What this old fool over here and wrote this letter? Tumber?
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: He fifty five, he married, he worked in the same
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: bill and his wife he dressed down because his job
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: he don't require him dress up. His wife got to
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: be jazz and everything and all who went her wife
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: work around a bunch of thirty year olds in the office,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and they died pieces. M Yeah, that's how he described.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: He's so old they die pieces and everything and everything
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: on these women is right where need to be. If
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: you know your favorite line, Oh hey, old ass player, No,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: I didn't really know what you meant by that. If
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: you refer to their breast is up there by their
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: chest and they foot's right behind they pelvet. Ain't that
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: where it's supposed to be. That's where it's supposed to be. Yes, yea.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: When the last time you saw a woman unless she
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: was old, with her breath down in her knee, Well,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: last time you've seen it? You know, breasts like where
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: they posted. So let's save all these ignorant ass statements. Then,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: my co workers love is sitting in the court y'all
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: watching the women coming go. Didn't you just say that
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: you and your wife work in the same building. It
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you don't think words and got around the building that
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: all of me are sitting in the court y'all work
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: watching people. I started following one of these ladies on
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: ig because she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: On top of that, she smiles and make eye contact
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: with me whenever I see her. No, she don't. It's
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: your imagination, dog, how the baddest chick in the building,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: won't you? She the finest woman you'dn't ever seen, and
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: she won't you? Boy? Stop. What I love most about
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: her as her pretty feet. They're the sexiest part of
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: her and they have their own Instagram page. I secretly
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: looked at her It's ig footpage for months until my
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: wife saw me and took my phone. She kept my
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: phone for two days. I was a nervous wreck when
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I got it back. I made a fake IG page
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: so I can see pictures of my wife co workers
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: pretty feet without my wife knowing it. Now right there,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you're thinking, my man, great move right away. I thought
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I had outsmarted her this time. You ain't done nothing
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: smart in this whole damn letter. Now you have made
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: a fake I G page and you said I thought
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I had outsmart at Hood this time. Wait a minute,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: didn't she bust you on the phone. Yes, Ain't you
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: the same one that think this girl is looking at
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: you every time you out? Ain't you the same one
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that's still calling women damn pieces. Ain't you the someone
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: to work in the same office as your wife, but
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: you sit in the courtyard with your friends looking at women? Yeah?
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: This year? Right? Yeah, I thought I had outsmart at
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: hood this time. M But she caught me again that well,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: that ain't taking long. She went into my settings and
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: found the fake I G account attached to my real account,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: and I was busted again, Cause you stupid, You ain't
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: out smart nobody, you stupid, I thought, and I and I,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: and she saw all the emojis in comment right, there
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: were fifty five emojis. Emojis. Yeah, why are you fifty
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: five with heart? What is? What? What? What? Which one?
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: What is you putting next to the feet? Yeah? Which
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: one is? To her? Show? Want to know? And have
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: you figured out how to make your hands black yet?
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Because you probably ain't. You need to learn how to
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: make your emojis head dark, skin on. It's so stupid ass,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you're still sitting in out white prayer of hands. I
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: hate when black people praying for me and seeing white hands. Hey, hey,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: act like you praying for me. I could pray for
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: me fifty five, stupid ass with them white hands on
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: everything COMFID and stuff. I gotta pardon to be sending
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: me stuff. I just delete this text anytime me sending
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: me again. Yeah, you know why you got busted again
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: because you fifty five. It's too old to think that
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you can do anything text savvy. You think you the
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: first person created a fake page. Stupid, Now listen to this.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: She saw the emojens in the comments that I left
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: under the co workers pictures, and she started crying. She
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: didn't react high how I thought she would at all.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: She told me my actions made her feel unpretty and unwanted.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: That broke my heart, and I cried too. You can
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: stop all that because I ain't say right now, you
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: can't outcry woman, So you can stop all this crying
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: too trying to, because that's stupid. You can't outcry her.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: You don't cry with me. Had we had a dull
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: last We'll do that right here, and then let me
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: tell you something he would see. I saw that as
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: harmless entertainment, but now she saw her broken because of me.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: How do I restore my wife's confidence in herself? And
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: you probably can't because you probably because your wife feet
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: probably ain't that flat. That's the problem. See, one of
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: the whole problems you've gotten this letteris your wife feet.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: She no hoofey, it ain't fit to be like. And
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: now she found out that's what you really like, and
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: now she ain't got it. She's dish. We gotta go
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: all right. Listen. It's up on Instagram at Steve harveyfm
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: dot com to comment, youth, you can't check out this
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Jewberry Letter podcast on de Man Got Out Next. It's Junior,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: and we'll see what he wants to talk about today.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: it's time for Junior, and you have some questions for
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Steve Junior. Yeah, yeah, I do, I do. Uh, you know,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: you know I'm about about the weekend of this thing. Hey,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: before you do it, I want to share with your
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: time out or Junior part for his marriage. You would Yeah,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: let me hear the poem. Here it is, I's married
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: now be here. Oh my god, yeah, go ahead, my dog. Yeah,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: they just didn't you know. You know, I just keep thinking.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I just want to I just want to be to
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a great start. What's what's some advice how you can
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: give me about being a husband now? Because I'm a
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: single no more, and my thought process got to change.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I can't have the same thought no more. And what
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: kind of what kind of thought the process you got?
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Right now? Well? You know talking, I keep I keep
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: saying stuff like I'm just me. Yeah, And it's not
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: how old change your pronown how old? Forty four? See
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you've been doing this for forty four. It's just in you.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: It's hard to teach your old dog new tricks. But
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Carlin said it as your pronoun is no longer I
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: it's your pronong is never me, it's hubbed. Your thought
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: can't be what you won't. It's got to be what
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: do she won't. But then you gotta act like it's
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: what we won't, even though it's only what she won't,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: because what she won't might not be the same thing
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: as what he won't. Who's on first base? What's on what? Yeah?
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Are you? I'm trying to you see how confused that sound? Yeah,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: that's what you in now, sir, I'm in confusion. That's
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: ball of confusion. Has nothing to do with this old
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: question you had me. But that's what I'm in. What
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: else you want to know? Okay, So I got to
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: think of something nice to do every single day, fun
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: every day. Told me something marriage company that ended my marriage. Oh,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: he said, it's not your job to make another person happy,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: nor should you make that your job. You can't make
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: another person happy. That's a state. I don't care how
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: hard you try. That's a that's a job that cannot
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: be happy. Oh all right, uh jor no, it's just
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: allowed to remember, not be forgetting the first But you're
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: gonna forget it a whole lot of turns. All right, listen,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, Junior, this
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: wasn't you. Okay, this was not you. But wait until
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: you hear what happened to another room on his wedding day.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Right out, do it? Yeah, you're listening, Steve Harpy warning show. Well, Junior,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: this has nothing to do with you. Okay, so you
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: can relax on this one. But it is a wedding
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: story about a groom though us. Too soon, too soon,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: All right, here, we're gonna try it. We'll try it.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: A groom recently tried a poorly planned and poorly executed
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: stunt on his wedding day. He tried to enter his
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: wedding ceremony on a dirt bike, and he skid it
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: and was thrown off the bike. Bride to be was
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: horrified as he was rushed to the hospital. He broke
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: his collar bone and he needed five stitches in high man,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: he want to do it. I want to do it.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: That's what he want to do it. Oh man, that's
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I've ever seen standing Bravo. I'm gonna break my collar.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: I thought about that many times in my life. I
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: just never had the character do. I stayed out all
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: night long when I was about twenty eight years old
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: and about twenty six years old, I stayed out all
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: night long, didn't make it back home. I was seriously
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: contemplating wrapping my car around a telephone that's going to
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: check into the hospital because I didn't have a lie
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: together in my mind. Man, my man, congratulations, big man. Yeah,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: we're just gonna to do this later. Yeah, let me
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: come in hot myself. I'm oh man, everything stitches in
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: his head. Yeah, yeah, got two more years. He got
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: up for two more years being single. He can be
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: single for two more years. Yeah, that's you, beautiful cold feet.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I'd have heard it all. Man, come in on the
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: dirt fight. He told his boy. Ain't nobody else get hurt. No,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: see that, he told his boy. And I'm gonna come
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: down now from me in hot. Y'all move over. I
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: don't want to hit half. I don't wanna come dead
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: at y'all. Y'all move out the way. I'm gonna hit them,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: break and listen to him live. I will be in
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the air. He broke his collar bone, got on that
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: tree that was the one she wanted to get married,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: and almost time all you here, Holly, Yes, running and
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: I love it. And this buddy, his buddy had had
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: a bottle with faked he had to use alright, boys
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: knew man, man, man, you know when you hit the
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: brakes man, Yeah, yeah, that's gonna put me in the end. Though.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: How hard was his grooves been laughing? Let me tell
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: you something man that afternoon? Yeah no, they was laughing
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: the night before when at the basket party when they
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: were playing it. When that did happened though, and they
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: found out he had practiced collar bone and busted his head. Dog,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: they couldn't breathe. They had to make sure he was
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: all right though. I tried to cut that after that.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I ain't after that hike to cut that bike. I'll
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: tell you we messed up the bridem ya. I know
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: bride daddy, Yeah he knew what was up. Yeah, oh

- 1:20:06Speaker 1: executed stunt on his wedding day. He tried to enter
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: his wedding ceremony on a dirt bike, and he skidded
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: and was thrown off the bike. His bride to be,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: of course, was horrified, and he was rushed to the hospital.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Now he broke his collar bone. He needed five stitches
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: to his head, five stitches in his head. What would
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: what would make somebody do something like this? I don't
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: I don't get Ladies and gentlemen, we are here at
