- 1:41Speaker 4: Got to turn the.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Mouth turn, probably got to turn mouth turn A wad
- 1:47Speaker 2: of the money up looking me.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 6: You think that? Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 7: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 7: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 7: radio show. Yeah, I do. Took me when I said,
- 2:15Speaker 7: but I do like I say always. It just is
- 2:18Speaker 7: a constant reminder of how good God has been. So
- 2:22Speaker 7: my question to you is, what's stopping you from having
- 2:26Speaker 7: the life that you want? What's stopping you from having
- 2:30Speaker 7: the life that you want? I know a lot of
- 2:34Speaker 7: people who have given up on achieving the life of
- 2:39Speaker 7: their dreams. But I know they'd still want them if
- 2:43Speaker 7: they could get to them. But they just allowed to
- 2:46Speaker 7: settle for so many reasons. So who I'm talking to
- 2:51Speaker 7: is you today? What's really at the core of stopping you?
- 2:56Speaker 7: What is that?
- 2:57Speaker 6: Is it your friends or your associate?
- 3:00Speaker 7: Is it the fear of what you think somebody else
- 3:03Speaker 7: will think of you if you decide to change. Is
- 3:07Speaker 7: it what I used to call the call of the wile?
- 3:09Speaker 7: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the
- 3:13Speaker 7: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments
- 3:17Speaker 7: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy for you,
- 3:21Speaker 7: You don't want to stop doing that because you've got
- 3:23Speaker 7: just a little bit more something else you want to do.
- 3:26Speaker 7: I call that the call of the while. You know
- 3:28Speaker 7: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them
- 3:31Speaker 7: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.
- 3:34Speaker 7: Them guys that's on the wrong side, keep calling you.
- 3:37Speaker 7: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.
- 3:40Speaker 7: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What
- 3:43Speaker 7: is it that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:46Speaker 7: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,
- 3:50Speaker 7: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
- 3:54Speaker 7: that you want to have. It's no good because at
- 3:57Speaker 7: the end of the day, here's the real deal. See,
- 4:00Speaker 7: God is available, and God is available for all of us,
- 4:04Speaker 7: and God has a plan for all of us, and
- 4:07Speaker 7: God wants the very best for all of us.
- 4:09Speaker 6: That's the truth. Of the matter.
- 4:11Speaker 7: So now what we're gonna do to get started having
- 4:14Speaker 7: that life? First of all, if it's your friends, I
- 4:18Speaker 7: want you to understand something your friends can't save you.
- 4:22Speaker 7: A lot of your friends offer no real help for you.
- 4:25Speaker 7: Most of your friends don't have the answer themselves. I mean,
- 4:29Speaker 7: it's just a wide range of reasons and misery love company.
- 4:33Speaker 7: So usually when your friends are in a bad position,
- 4:36Speaker 7: they kind of like company in that bad position. Your
- 4:40Speaker 7: friends ain't going to church. You're going to be their friend.
- 4:43Speaker 7: They don't really want you to go to church. You know,
- 4:46Speaker 7: your friends don't pray, so why would they offer up
- 4:49Speaker 7: prayer as a solution to you. You know, your friends
- 4:53Speaker 7: don't really really get the fact that if you treat
- 4:57Speaker 7: people better, people would treat you better.
- 5:00Speaker 6: So what's that?
- 5:01Speaker 7: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,
- 5:05Speaker 7: you know, to peer pressure of what and then the
- 5:08Speaker 7: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once
- 5:10Speaker 7: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.
- 5:13Speaker 7: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,
- 5:18Speaker 7: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you
- 5:22Speaker 7: from having the best life you wanted to have. If
- 5:25Speaker 7: I went by that theory right there, wouldn't I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 7: even be on this mic this morning. I would have
- 5:30Speaker 7: never become a stand up I would had I listened
- 5:33Speaker 7: to the people around me who clearly told me when
- 5:37Speaker 7: I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't you
- 5:40Speaker 7: quit your job? You got a family, Boy, don't you
- 5:42Speaker 7: do this. You ain't got no bit that, ain't no
- 5:45Speaker 7: security in that. Get yourself a job. Go down here,
- 5:48Speaker 7: and what's your brothers? Go to work over here? Go
- 5:51Speaker 7: to I heard all of that. I didn't let that
- 5:54Speaker 7: stop me from pursuing this. Why would you allow that
- 5:57Speaker 7: to stop you from pursuing your relationship with God so
- 6:00Speaker 7: you can have the best life you could possibly have.
- 6:03Speaker 7: You gang bang because they've convinced you that this is
- 6:07Speaker 7: the family situation and love that you don't have, and
- 6:10Speaker 7: they've convinced you that this is your only way, your
- 6:14Speaker 7: only source of getting over and then you drum up
- 6:18Speaker 7: these ignorant reasons man for staying with it. But they
- 6:22Speaker 7: sound so good when you listening to everybody else you're
- 6:26Speaker 7: surrounded by telling you why we gang banging, why we
- 6:29Speaker 7: holding this block down, why we slanging this thing here
- 6:32Speaker 7: right here? Why we letting it go like this here,
- 6:35Speaker 7: you keep listening to them when all in your heart
- 6:39Speaker 7: of hearts you know this ain't right. You already know,
- 6:42Speaker 7: but you allow that form of the call of the
- 6:46Speaker 7: wile that wanting to be accepted by a group of
- 6:49Speaker 7: people who trying to get you to accept the way,
- 6:52Speaker 7: so you con further they progress to even prove that
- 6:55Speaker 7: you're worthy to be around them, You got to commit
- 6:58Speaker 7: some type of crime to even prove that you're worthy
- 7:01Speaker 7: to be around them. Then when you get busted on
- 7:04Speaker 7: the crime, what happens to that where your family are
- 7:07Speaker 7: Now they don't come down there to see you because
- 7:10Speaker 7: guess what, they can't turn in They idea to deak
- 7:13Speaker 7: at a law enforcement center, So now your homies can't
- 7:16Speaker 7: come visit you. And then you know your family back
- 7:19Speaker 7: out here, they ain't taking care of your family because
- 7:21Speaker 7: it's all about them. Then you learn that what is
- 7:24Speaker 7: it that's stopping you from having the life that you
- 7:27Speaker 7: always wanted to have? What is it? Why are you
- 7:30Speaker 7: a repeat offender? Why do you keep checking yourself back
- 7:35Speaker 7: into that institution?
- 7:37Speaker 8: Why?
- 7:38Speaker 7: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you
- 7:41Speaker 7: give God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself. Why
- 7:45Speaker 7: would you continue to be a part of a revolving
- 7:48Speaker 7: door system and becoming a farm system for these institutions
- 7:52Speaker 7: that ain't got nothing for you? But you keep going
- 7:55Speaker 7: back in there. And then every time you go in there,
- 7:57Speaker 7: and then your little homies or your gang banging litve,
- 8:00Speaker 7: little silly little friends try to make you think that's
- 8:02Speaker 7: a badge of honor. There ain't no badge of honor. Man,
- 8:05Speaker 7: that's one mold. What's one more scratch on that record,
- 8:08Speaker 7: That's one mode, that's one more nail in that coffin.
- 8:12Speaker 7: That's one step closer to that third strike where you
- 8:15Speaker 7: ain't gonna ever get out. It's one step closer to
- 8:18Speaker 7: that graveyard you keep on. Why would you not give
- 8:22Speaker 7: God a try? Why would you not go and see
- 8:24Speaker 7: what your life could really be? What is it that's
- 8:27Speaker 7: stopping you? Because see, I got news for you. That's
- 8:31Speaker 7: nothing like waking up free. I don't care who you are,
- 8:35Speaker 7: there's nothing like waking up with the joy in your heart. Now,
- 8:39Speaker 7: if you ain't gonna be free, get the joy in
- 8:42Speaker 7: your heart, the satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something
- 8:45Speaker 7: with your life. Help somebody behind them balls get in
- 8:49Speaker 7: the program, show these young cats when they come in
- 8:51Speaker 7: a better way. But don't you dash sit theren man
- 8:55Speaker 7: and just ride it out, and man, just go and
- 8:58Speaker 7: get the fullest life that you can have. What you
- 9:02Speaker 7: know what it feels like to wake up and be
- 9:04Speaker 7: on your way somewhere, knowing that you have something to accomplish,
- 9:08Speaker 7: that you can change somebody, that you can stop somebody
- 9:10Speaker 7: from going down the roads you went down. It's a
- 9:13Speaker 7: whole lot of ways to make your life better. But
- 9:15Speaker 7: why would you not go and have the best life
- 9:17Speaker 7: you can have? What is it that's stopping you?
- 9:20Speaker 6: Really? Really? So you think that Satan.
- 9:25Speaker 7: Really has your best interest at heart, That the little
- 9:28Speaker 7: thing your mama kept telling you about praying you wasn't listening,
- 9:31Speaker 7: was you. But you know, it ain't ever too late
- 9:33Speaker 7: to get back to that. It ain't ever too late
- 9:35Speaker 7: to turn around. It ain't ever too late to get
- 9:38Speaker 7: your life together, it ain't ever too late to seek God,
- 9:42Speaker 7: and it ain't ever too late to pray. Don't forget
- 9:45Speaker 7: to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and don't be
- 9:48Speaker 7: too proud to pray, because prayer changes things. Prayer change
- 9:53Speaker 7: people too. I'm a witness to.
- 9:55Speaker 9: That you're listening.
- 9:58Speaker 10: Show.
- 10:01Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen. It's time. It's time to show gratitude.
- 10:07Speaker 7: It's just time to say thank you, thank you for
- 10:10Speaker 7: this new day, for his brand new opportunity, for his
- 10:13Speaker 7: grand rising, for his day to filled with so much
- 10:17Speaker 7: hope and promise.
- 10:18Speaker 6: Man.
- 10:19Speaker 7: I'm grateful, man, I really am. I just I try
- 10:23Speaker 7: not to miss a morning being grateful.
- 10:25Speaker 6: Man.
- 10:26Speaker 7: I miss some mornings, but I try not too. It's
- 10:29Speaker 7: just too good to get to. It's just such a
- 10:32Speaker 7: big blessing. If you really think about waking up every day.
- 10:37Speaker 7: If you think about that, man, you know that's not
- 10:39Speaker 7: a giving. You all know somebody who don't get up
- 10:42Speaker 7: no more. You all know someone, But it wasn't you.
- 10:46Speaker 6: Man.
- 10:47Speaker 7: And as much as I love the people that are
- 10:50Speaker 7: not here no more, as much as I miss the
- 10:52Speaker 7: people that ain't here no more, I'm still here.
- 10:57Speaker 6: That's being grateful. I ain't being a long show glad.
- 11:00Speaker 6: It ain't me. Well, really I am. I'm glad. It
- 11:02Speaker 6: ain't me to tell you truth, So why not be grateful.
- 11:07Speaker 6: It's a great day today.

- 33:15Speaker 12: a million dollars, claiming they racially profiled him.
- 33:19Speaker 1: This is according to People magazine.
- 33:21Speaker 12: The lawsuit was filed by Tyrese and two men described
- 33:24Speaker 12: as associates who regularly provide construction services for him. Tyrese
- 33:29Speaker 12: claimed he gave his associates his credit card to pay
- 33:31Speaker 12: for his items before leaving because fans began noticing him.
- 33:36Speaker 12: He alleges that despite telling the cashier that he gave
- 33:39Speaker 12: the men permission to use his card, the worker quote
- 33:42Speaker 12: refused to complete the purchase transaction. The sue claims that
- 33:46Speaker 12: the cashier and other Home Depot employees purposely interfered with
- 33:50Speaker 12: and refused to process the transaction based on their skin color. Now,
- 33:55Speaker 12: the three men are seeking over a million dollars in damages.
- 33:58Speaker 12: The amount Tyrese claims he's spent at home depot locations
- 34:02Speaker 12: over his lifetime. Okay, what, Yeah, he spent a million
- 34:08Speaker 12: dollars at home depots during his lifetime.
- 34:12Speaker 6: That's fit to go nowhere.
- 34:13Speaker 7: That ain't got nothing to do with what you bought
- 34:14Speaker 7: at home depot. You can't get your money back. You
- 34:17Speaker 7: know how much money I have spent it bass pro shops?
- 34:19Speaker 4: How much how.
- 34:22Speaker 6: Girl officialize and stuff over you.
- 34:26Speaker 7: But all my experience has been wonderful at bass pro shops,
- 34:29Speaker 7: so I can't It ain't nothing.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Racially profiled or anything anything.
- 34:32Speaker 6: No dog dog look and I look.
- 34:35Speaker 7: I saw the Tyres incident. If he wins some money
- 34:38Speaker 7: off that, it'll be a miracle. No, I saw it
- 34:40Speaker 7: on Instagram. You know, he posts everything. He put the
- 34:44Speaker 7: whole conversation between him and the Morrow now because the
- 34:47Speaker 7: white girl manager didn't know the store policy and couldn't
- 34:51Speaker 7: recite the store policy.
- 34:52Speaker 6: You know, good and hell well, if.
- 34:55Speaker 7: Let me just be real with you, you know good
- 34:58Speaker 7: and hell well, if you give your crowd carr called
- 35:00Speaker 7: and they go down there to home Depot and they
- 35:03Speaker 7: ain't got nothing but your credit card, you know good,
- 35:05Speaker 7: hell well, what fitn to happen?
- 35:07Speaker 6: That ain't high. It's done. You got all the stuff
- 35:10Speaker 6: you could do, and you know it day.
- 35:15Speaker 10: All right?
- 35:15Speaker 6: You waiting all this damn time fault coming up in
- 35:19Speaker 6: twenty minutes a million dollars because that's what you're just sprinding.
- 35:22Speaker 6: Home depot. You got a million dollars worth of home
- 35:24Speaker 6: depot stuff, don't you.
- 35:28Speaker 8: Hey?
- 35:28Speaker 6: Get that back.
- 35:30Speaker 7: I wish I could start getting money back for what
- 35:33Speaker 7: I'm spent, stopping money out of spending American airlines, all them.
- 35:39Speaker 12: Flights you can't get coming up in twenty minutes after
- 35:42Speaker 12: the hour, still trending.
- 35:44Speaker 1: The fiftieth anniversary of hip hop right after this, I.
- 35:47Speaker 6: Want all the money back out of spending programs.
- 35:51Speaker 9: You're listening hard morning show.
- 35:55Speaker 6: All right.
- 35:55Speaker 12: So this past Friday was a huge fiftieth anniversary of
- 35:59Speaker 12: hip hop and New York and Carla is here to
- 36:01Speaker 12: break it all the way down.
- 36:03Speaker 11: What's up, Carla? How well you know our home station?
- 36:06Speaker 11: You guys one on seven five WBLS in New York.
- 36:09Speaker 11: They did it big, celebrating fifty years. Happy birthday to
- 36:14Speaker 11: hip hop. This past Friday went down in New York
- 36:17Speaker 11: in a big, big way. Of course, New York City
- 36:20Speaker 11: is the birthplace of hip hop as specifically specifically the Bronx,
- 36:26Speaker 11: and the celebrations continued all weekend. The New York City
- 36:30Speaker 11: mayor Mayor Adams, he recognized all of the hip hop
- 36:34Speaker 11: legends and pioneers. A huge concert was at Yankee Stadium,
- 36:39Speaker 11: hip Hop Icons, Run DMC, Nas, Fat Joe, Remy My, Sugarhill,
- 36:44Speaker 11: Gang Q was in the building, Snoop, Lil Wayne's and
- 36:50Speaker 11: it was just, you.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Know, just a big celebration.
- 36:52Speaker 11: As Biggie said, you never thought hip hop would make
- 36:54Speaker 11: it this far, but it was really really good. Run DMC.
- 36:57Speaker 11: You know I've said this before. They they were to
- 37:00Speaker 11: me in that era of hip hop. When they got
- 37:03Speaker 11: on the stage, you not just saw MC's rapping, You
- 37:07Speaker 11: got to see the DJ and what the DJ presented
- 37:10Speaker 11: on stage as well with the music. So I think
- 37:13Speaker 11: all overall hip hop continues to evolve. There's some positive
- 37:19Speaker 11: elements with hip hop.
- 37:20Speaker 6: You know.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I know we talk about this a lot off air.
- 37:23Speaker 11: We talk about hip hop and the music today off
- 37:26Speaker 11: air and the change and the difference.
- 37:28Speaker 1: But we still have rapp. Let me just say this.
- 37:31Speaker 11: I want to say positive. You know you have you
- 37:33Speaker 11: still have your Kendrick Lamar's. You still have your J Coles,
- 37:38Speaker 11: you still have Nods and of course, you know, you
- 37:40Speaker 11: look at somebody like Jay Z, who's a billionaire, who's new,
- 37:44Speaker 11: who did not just music, but his whole business thing,
- 37:48Speaker 11: his whole business thing, and of course, yeah, he changed
- 37:51Speaker 11: the game. I think the thing with hip hop with today,
- 37:54Speaker 11: it's this constant thing that people are trying to outdo
- 37:58Speaker 11: each other.
- 37:59Speaker 1: And I think think us as a people, we have to.
- 38:01Speaker 11: Demand higher standards, higher standards from rapids so we won't
- 38:06Speaker 11: hear you know, we talk about the runchiness with the women,
- 38:09Speaker 11: misogynyh yeah, and the violence and all these things, but
- 38:14Speaker 11: these people are just trying to sell records, and I
- 38:16Speaker 11: think that they're just trying to outdo each other.
- 38:18Speaker 7: I think the only way to be done it has
- 38:20Speaker 7: to be done with the hip hop legends and the
- 38:23Speaker 7: hip hop greats. A person like my mouth, a person
- 38:26Speaker 7: like myself, could never bring about change in hip hop
- 38:29Speaker 7: at all. It's not of my generation, who was not
- 38:33Speaker 7: of my mindset, and the moment I say something about
- 38:35Speaker 7: the Lord have mercy know whatever would happen.
- 38:38Speaker 6: But I think if the change has to come.
- 38:40Speaker 7: Within, with within, I still stand by the fact that
- 38:44Speaker 7: I am against anybody that glorifies the deaths and the
- 38:50Speaker 7: killing of.
- 38:51Speaker 6: One another and put it to a beat.
- 38:53Speaker 7: And I'm also against those of those who refer to
- 38:58Speaker 7: our women and negative rights at be's and hs.
- 39:02Speaker 6: But we got to stop selling this nothingness to our
- 39:05Speaker 6: young people. But that's on them.
- 39:07Speaker 7: They have to change that this day music genre. They
- 39:10Speaker 7: not gonna listen to me. So yeah, that's on y'all.
- 39:13Speaker 12: All right, thank you, Steve, Thank you, Carla. Coming up
- 39:15Speaker 12: at thirty four minutes after the hour. We'll check Steve's
- 39:18Speaker 12: voicemail right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 39:23Speaker 12: It's time now to check Steve's voicemail, and if you
- 39:26Speaker 12: would like to leave a message for Steve, call him
- 39:28Speaker 12: eight seven seven twenty nine Steve eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve,
- 39:33Speaker 12: you might just hear your call on the air. Ready, Steve,
- 39:36Speaker 12: here we go. This is from a woman named Miss
- 39:40Speaker 12: Vance and she has a relationship question for you.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Hi, Steve, boss, hoy you doing?
- 39:47Speaker 1: This is your audience callin advance. I'll host this message
- 39:51Speaker 1: and wind up on the radio.
- 39:53Speaker 17: I met a guy about twenty weeks ago and we
- 39:57Speaker 17: went out on a couple of dinner and I found
- 40:00Speaker 17: out that I don't like him. He's fifty three years
- 40:04Speaker 17: old and all he does he works. He got a
- 40:08Speaker 17: good stuff, but he doesn't do anything other than work,
- 40:12Speaker 17: go home as s folke block. He doesn't have a
- 40:15Speaker 17: life other than his job.
- 40:17Speaker 6: W's a food.
- 40:19Speaker 17: But he's not the man for me. He's sixty two.
- 40:22Speaker 17: I'm sixty six, so I figure i'm a little older
- 40:24Speaker 17: than him, and I'm a little wiser that he is.
- 40:27Speaker 17: But the red fleg what up? What I told him?
- 40:30Speaker 17: He had seen out his car because he's just his
- 40:34Speaker 17: transportation to pick up people. Anyhow, I said, clean your car.
- 40:39Speaker 17: It was roll with it, I said thirty And he's like, oh,
- 40:43Speaker 17: you're right, it is dirty. I need to clean it out.
- 40:46Speaker 17: But you know what, I don't like a man that's
- 40:48Speaker 17: not clean. And he only gets crushed up. It's when
- 40:52Speaker 17: I call him and say that I asked him to
- 40:54Speaker 17: take somewhere. That's the only time he gets the bowsed
- 40:57Speaker 17: up for the red flag for there. And I said, no,
- 41:01Speaker 17: it's not the man for me. I'm waiting on my
- 41:04Speaker 17: husband and I will wait until God sends him to me.
- 41:09Speaker 17: But I'm not just suspss at anything because I have
- 41:12Speaker 17: my sn Okay, all, let me know if I'm wrong
- 41:15Speaker 17: or rife your hope.
- 41:16Speaker 6: This mess is just to you.
- 41:18Speaker 7: Well, I mean you're right because you have every right
- 41:22Speaker 7: to want exactly what you want.
- 41:25Speaker 6: But let me ask you something.
- 41:27Speaker 7: At sixty six years old, have you ever had everything
- 41:31Speaker 7: he wanted? Now, let me ask you something. If he's
- 41:35Speaker 7: if he treats you right, if he's a good guy,
- 41:38Speaker 7: but all he do is just go home, go to work,
- 41:43Speaker 7: and he go home.
- 41:45Speaker 6: What else she said he do?
- 41:47Speaker 1: It's my blunt.
- 41:49Speaker 7: Oh he gets high at sixty two, Well, you know
- 41:53Speaker 7: he's sixty two, you sixty six.
- 41:56Speaker 6: It's all you doing is smoking weed at sixty two.
- 42:00Speaker 6: It's like glacoma.
- 42:01Speaker 7: I mean you know, yeah, that's glacoma, or you know,
- 42:06Speaker 7: or all set coinery disease, or you know, you're smoking
- 42:10Speaker 7: weed for a purpose. Can you find out if he
- 42:13Speaker 7: got a medical car, here's a deal. You can walk
- 42:16Speaker 7: away from him. But when you tell the man he
- 42:19Speaker 7: needs to clean his car, some guys don't even notice it.
- 42:22Speaker 7: It takes a woman's touch sometimes sometimes a woman is
- 42:27Speaker 7: just the thing that a man is missing. But if
- 42:30Speaker 7: he's got a good job and he works hard, and
- 42:33Speaker 7: he treats you right. He's a nice guy. The only
- 42:36Speaker 7: time he leave the house if you ask him to
- 42:38Speaker 7: take you somewhere. But your problem would be if he say,
- 42:41Speaker 7: I ain't taking you nowhere. Now, you just got to
- 42:44Speaker 7: weigh out the pros with the cons.
- 42:46Speaker 6: Make a list of everything you like about him, and
- 42:48Speaker 6: then make a list of everything you don't like about him.
- 42:51Speaker 6: If the don'ts outweigh the dudes, then you just walk away.
- 42:55Speaker 7: But if it's a couple of things wrong with the guy,
- 42:58Speaker 7: it could be a couple of things that could be
- 43:00Speaker 7: he fixed.
- 43:01Speaker 6: No, if you then decided that he ain't the one
- 43:04Speaker 6: for you, then he ain't the wrong for you. I
- 43:06Speaker 6: ain't gonna talk you into it.
- 43:08Speaker 10: They ain't got too much time left, though, dude, I mean,
- 43:12Speaker 10: hurry this up.
- 43:14Speaker 7: Well, I don't want to say that I totally disagree
- 43:18Speaker 7: with you because one of the people in this letter
- 43:20Speaker 7: is sixty six, and I happen to be sixty six,
- 43:23Speaker 7: and I hid it hiss in you ask it saying
- 43:27Speaker 7: something like that, So.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Later that was saying it's sixty six.
- 43:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I got I got plenty of time left. I
- 43:33Speaker 7: got forty more years left.
- 43:35Speaker 1: So and you don't smoke weed.
- 43:37Speaker 6: You got your wife though, you good? Yeah?
- 43:40Speaker 7: So, I mean, but you know, look, if this ain't
- 43:44Speaker 7: the one for you, walk away. But if he cleans
- 43:47Speaker 7: up when you tell him to clean up, if he
- 43:49Speaker 7: comes to get you when you ask him to come
- 43:51Speaker 7: get you, you might be throwing away a good man
- 43:53Speaker 7: that just need a little couple of moves here in here.
- 43:56Speaker 7: And I'm pretty sure if you said, hey, man, you've
- 43:58Speaker 7: got to stop smoking so much weed, he might even
- 44:00Speaker 7: cut back on that for you.
- 44:02Speaker 6: Find out what he's willing to do to keep you
- 44:04Speaker 6: before you leave. You could be the woman he'll change for.
- 44:08Speaker 6: I heard. If you don't want to, if you want
- 44:09Speaker 6: him already fixed up, then just keep waiting.
- 44:12Speaker 12: Coming up next the nephew in today's prank phone call
- 44:15Speaker 12: right after this, you're listening Hardy Morning Show. Coming up
- 44:21Speaker 12: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:24Speaker 12: It's my Strawberry letter for it today, and the subject
- 44:26Speaker 12: is he needs to check his bed first.
- 44:30Speaker 1: We'll get into that, find out what that's all about.
- 44:32Speaker 12: And just a few because right now the nephew is
- 44:35Speaker 12: here with today's prank phone call.
- 44:37Speaker 1: What you got for his nest?
- 44:39Speaker 10: Well, you went in the middle of the summer, Shirley
- 44:41Speaker 10: and everybody's barbecue in you know, everybody on their career.
- 44:44Speaker 10: A lot of people out there think they know how
- 44:45Speaker 10: to griell, think they got it down, you know, to
- 44:48Speaker 10: a science. But there's a lot of people don't. A
- 44:50Speaker 10: lot of people don't. So this prank right here is
- 44:53Speaker 10: your barbecue?
- 44:55Speaker 6: Ain't right? Your barbeque ain't Let's go get it. Trying
- 45:04Speaker 6: to reach Gerald.

- 45:48Speaker 18: I mean I think thank you for the countliment. But yeah,
- 45:52Speaker 18: I mean now you say, I mean I had nothing
- 45:54Speaker 18: else to do but cook, you know, and these times,
- 45:56Speaker 18: I mean I might as well do what I'm good at.
- 45:58Speaker 18: You know who gave you my number?
- 46:01Speaker 6: Though?
- 46:02Speaker 5: Uh?

- 46:07Speaker 6: call him Edwards. I think he lives on your street.
- 46:10Speaker 6: I'm not sure. So what you what?
- 46:12Speaker 18: You what you cooked? And smoke?
- 46:13Speaker 7: Man?
- 46:14Speaker 6: I could I burned a little bit, you know. That's
- 46:16Speaker 6: and that's why I call it like like you know,
- 46:17Speaker 6: from one barbecue brother to another.
- 46:19Speaker 10: I was just reaching out. I said, man, it's burning
- 46:21Speaker 10: over there, so you're putting it in?
- 46:23Speaker 8: Man?
- 46:23Speaker 6: What what all you've been cooking since since since we've
- 46:25Speaker 6: been locked down?

- 46:37Speaker 8: You know.
- 46:37Speaker 18: It kind of all depends when I'm cooking, whether it's
- 46:39Speaker 18: some fish's you know, chicking. I mix it up every
- 46:41Speaker 18: now and then. Sometimes I have lately been experiment with

- 46:48Speaker 18: bump every day about after four three.
- 46:51Speaker 10: Yeah, that's that's what I've been smelling smoke because you'll
- 46:54Speaker 10: smoke your smoke coming to my yard. You know, I'm
- 46:58Speaker 10: two blocks over your smoke, carrying a good distance man.
- 47:01Speaker 6: But yeah, but that's all right, It's all right.
- 47:03Speaker 18: But I've been soaking my chips and all that stuff.
- 47:06Speaker 18: I mean, you know, I've been just trying some new techniques.
- 47:09Speaker 16: You know, let me going crazy.
- 47:15Speaker 10: No, I ain't got me going crazy. To be able
- 47:16Speaker 10: to be completely honest with you, it's kind of got me.
- 47:19Speaker 10: You can your meet up so damn bad dog that
- 47:22Speaker 10: I'm sitting there smelling this and I'm trying to figure
- 47:25Speaker 10: out what are you doing?

- 47:40Speaker 6: You you you from a real barbecue man, You don't

- 52:10Speaker 6: wrong with you. I don't. I don't use that, just not.

- 54:08Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Nephew's subject he needs to check his bed first.
- 54:11Speaker 12: Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been in an on again, off
- 54:14Speaker 12: again thing with an old friend. It's hard to trust
- 54:18Speaker 12: him because we were friends before we were lovers. I
- 54:21Speaker 12: used to help him run game on women by being
- 54:24Speaker 12: his alibi and covering for him when he messed up.
- 54:27Speaker 12: We've been dating or whatever for the past five years
- 54:30Speaker 12: and I cause him a lot of grief. But he
- 54:33Speaker 12: usually brings it on himself. I've moved in with him,
- 54:36Speaker 12: and I've moved out. I moved out in July, and
- 54:39Speaker 12: I purposely did not spend the night with him after
- 54:42Speaker 12: I left so he would know that I was serious.
- 54:45Speaker 12: Last week, he finally coerced me to move back in
- 54:49Speaker 12: by buying me a tennis bracelet. It was sweet because
- 54:52Speaker 12: I've always wanted one. That night, I decided he deserved
- 54:56Speaker 12: a romantic night to celebrate me.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Being back in, so I.
- 55:01Speaker 12: Told him to clean up and cook a nice dinner.
- 55:04Speaker 12: I needed sex just as bad as he did, so
- 55:07Speaker 12: it didn't take us long to get to it.
- 55:10Speaker 1: We were watching a movie in his bed.
- 55:12Speaker 12: Afterwards, and he pulled the sheet back to massage my
- 55:16Speaker 12: legs and feet. I saw something black at the foot
- 55:18Speaker 12: of the bed and I told him to get it
- 55:21Speaker 12: instead of touching it. He flicked it out of the.
- 55:23Speaker 9: Bed with the remote.
- 55:24Speaker 12: I turned the light on to see what it was,
- 55:27Speaker 12: and it was a pair of black panties. He said,
- 55:29Speaker 12: they're mine, and they are my panties. He hasn't watched
- 55:33Speaker 12: his sheets in a month. Honestly, I could have been
- 55:36Speaker 12: drinking and forgot to get my panties. But I don't
- 55:38Speaker 12: recall doing that before I moved out. It's my word
- 55:42Speaker 12: against his, and I hate to punish him if the
- 55:44Speaker 12: panties are mine. Is it a coincidence that he's cheating
- 55:48Speaker 12: with a girl that wears the same brand and size.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Of panties that I do?
- 55:51Speaker 9: Should I trust him?
- 55:54Speaker 6: Now?
- 55:54Speaker 12: This is a stupid letter right here, for real, on again,
- 55:58Speaker 12: off again relationship with an old friend.
- 56:01Speaker 1: You move in, you move out. I mean, you guys don't.
- 56:04Speaker 12: Really have a relationship here, and I see this as
- 56:07Speaker 12: a problem, especially if you can't recognize your own underwear.
- 56:10Speaker 1: I mean, women are normally very, very.
- 56:14Speaker 12: Detailed when it comes to stuff like this, panties and stuff.
- 56:18Speaker 12: We know you know your underwear, You know your own panties.
- 56:21Speaker 6: What is this?
- 56:22Speaker 12: I mean, the fact that you're questioning him about maybe
- 56:25Speaker 12: having another woman in his bed holds no weight. If
- 56:28Speaker 12: you're not sure, you don't know.
- 56:31Speaker 1: What you said.
- 56:32Speaker 12: You could have been drinking and just not remembered. Okay,
- 56:36Speaker 12: all right, let them off the hook, because this is crazy. First,
- 56:43Speaker 12: the panties, I mean, two things make it not worth
- 56:45Speaker 12: even making a big deal over because the panties.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Are one you don't remember if they're yours or not.
- 56:52Speaker 1: You could have been drunk and.
- 56:55Speaker 12: You guys weren't even together. Then Okay, you weren't together.
- 56:59Speaker 12: You're on again, on again, remember that, So he was
- 57:01Speaker 12: free to do whatever he wanted to. Uh, you need
- 57:04Speaker 12: to let this go and figure out what you guys
- 57:06Speaker 12: are gonna do. I mean, this back and forth stuff,
- 57:08Speaker 12: it's just silly. So decide now if you're going to
- 57:11Speaker 12: be all in and trust him in this relationship or
- 57:13Speaker 12: stop and move on once and for all.
- 57:16Speaker 1: This is crazy, Steve.
- 57:19Speaker 6: You know, today is one of them days.
- 57:24Speaker 1: It's one of those dates.
- 57:25Speaker 6: It's just one of them letters. You know, what do
- 57:29Speaker 6: you want me to do? You want me to say?
- 57:33Speaker 6: You know everything you all these answers is in your
- 57:36Speaker 6: letter yourself.
- 57:37Speaker 7: You in and own again off again relationship with an
- 57:41Speaker 7: old friend. Now you say it's hard to trust him
- 57:45Speaker 7: because we were friends before we was lovers and used
- 57:47Speaker 7: to help him run game old women by being his
- 57:51Speaker 7: alibi and coming for him when he messed up. Y'all,
- 57:57Speaker 7: I've been dating for the past five years and you
- 57:59Speaker 7: call him a lot of.
- 58:00Speaker 6: Grief, but he usually brings it on himself while y'all
- 58:05Speaker 6: in this type of relationship, a non trusting grief riddle relationship.
- 58:12Speaker 6: I caused him a lot of grief. I don't trust him,
- 58:18Speaker 6: So why are you? And it's on again, off again?
- 58:22Speaker 6: Why y'all in it?
- 58:25Speaker 7: I've moved anyway, but he usually brings it on himself.
- 58:29Speaker 7: I've moved in with him, and I've moved out.
- 58:34Speaker 6: It's a lot that happened in this letter already.
- 58:38Speaker 7: I moved out in July, and I purposely did not
- 58:42Speaker 7: spend the night with him after I left so he
- 58:44Speaker 7: would know that I'm serious.
- 58:46Speaker 6: Last week, here we go.
- 58:48Speaker 7: He finally cursed coerced me to move back in with
- 58:51Speaker 7: him by buying me a tennis bracelet.
- 58:54Speaker 6: It was sweet because I've always wanted one, that's all.
- 58:56Speaker 6: It took him one little tennis bracelet. You know, let
- 59:03Speaker 6: me let me. I don't know the price of tennis
- 59:07Speaker 6: bracelets anymore. I know they vary.
- 59:11Speaker 7: I know I bought a girl a tennis bracelet one
- 59:14Speaker 7: time from a service mark in Cleveland, Service merchandise or
- 59:20Speaker 7: service merchandise. And it was sixty it was it was
- 59:24Speaker 7: sixty nine dollars.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Well there more than that now, it.
- 59:29Speaker 6: Was sixty nine dollars. You don't even understand the commitment
- 59:33Speaker 6: I had made. Oh yeah, back it was sixty nine
- 59:36Speaker 6: dollars as service merchandise.
- 59:39Speaker 7: So I'm assuming now, man, you know it didn't it
- 59:43Speaker 7: worked like it worked on her, So I'm obviously.
- 59:46Speaker 6: All I know is.
- 59:47Speaker 7: Tennis bracelet has the same effect it did in nineteen
- 59:50Speaker 7: seventy as it did in twenty twenty four. So congratulations
- 59:56Speaker 7: to tennis bracelets were holding it down all these day. Yes,
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: after you got the suation, Yeah, she also decided he
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: deserved a romantic night and from moving celebrating there, she said,
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: here's the key to this whole letter. So I told
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: him to clean up and cook a nice dinner. This
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: is important information with sard when I come back.
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: This is critical.
- 1:00:24Speaker 12: Hang on, Steve, we'll have part two of your response
- 1:00:27Speaker 12: coming up at twenty three minutes after he needs to
- 1:00:29Speaker 12: check his bed first.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve.
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:35Speaker 12: All right, Steve, it's time to recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: He says. The subject is he needs to check his
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: bed first. That is a subject.
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: Well, this lady and this man in a relationship that
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: ain't gonna go nowhere no matter what we say. In
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: this letter, this relationship is doomed and so on again
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: off again relations They was friends first. She don't trust
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: him because when they was friends, she used to help
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: him line the women and cover for Then he causes
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: her a lot of She causes him a lot of
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: grief because she says he deserves it. He brings it
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: on himself. She's moved out. She moved in with him,
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: then she moved out. Then she ain't slept with him,
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: so he would know she's serious. He coerced her back
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: into the relationship by buying a tennis bracelet. Once again,
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: I want to reiterate that I bought a girl of
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: tennis bracelet one time from Service Merchase sixty nine dollars,
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: sixty nine dollars in the seventies, and I just want
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: to know how much that set me back. But now
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: that I've discovered in twenty twenty three, according to this letters,
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: tennis bracelets still work. They still get the job down.
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: Tennis bracelet, the smallest of all.
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: Braces as full of diamonds.
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, nobody said it was full of diamonds. It
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: was a tennis braceist.
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: And for sixty nine dollars it was Oh they should
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: have called it a tenant bracelet. He had lived any
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: ass diamonds in it. I don't even think they were down.
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: I think they were just blast chips. But you can there, Yeah,
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: if you can wear them over with the tennis brace
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: go ahead. So you gave him a romantic knight. Here's
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: the key to the whole level. Before you came over
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: to the house, you decided he need a romantic knight.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: So you called him, told him to clean up and
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: cook a nice dinner. Y'all watching the movie.
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: Uh, you know, y'all, you needed sex as bad as
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: he did, so it didn't take us long to get it.
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: Y'all was watching the movie in his bed afterwards, and
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: he pulled the sheets sheets back to massage my legs
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: and feet. And then I saw something black at the
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: foot of the bed.
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: Here we go now.
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: I told him to get it instead of touching it.
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: He flicked it out the bed with the remote. I
- 1:03:09Speaker 7: turned the light on to see what it was, and
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: it was a pair of black pantis. He said they
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: was mine. If they are my panties. He hasn't washed
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: his sheets in the month. Now right here, let's stop
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: right here. Okay, he told you this was your pantis.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: If they are mine, he hasn't washed his sheets in
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: the month.
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: Ain't just the.
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: Same guy that before you came over you called him
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: and said, make sure you clean up, because you know
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: he don't clean up. Now, I know y'all gonna say
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: it's never happened before that you've never had your bed
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: sheets on a bed for a month. But I've been
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: to college, Plum, I've had them sheets on now, So damn,
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: he was.
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: Just a monastic.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: You finding out a lot of things.
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: I've been.
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: I've been a real boy, a real boy. My whole,
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: my whole damn line. I you know, I used to
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: wash it in college. But I know good hell well,
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: I probably could have left them sheets on there for
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: a month. I probably could have at least honestly, he hasn't,
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: So that would mean if they are my panties, he
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: ain't washed your sheets in the month.
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: Now, Honestly, I could have been drinking and forgot to
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: get my panties. Could not. Now, let's go over everything
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: you know on again off again relationship.
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: You don't really trust him because you used to help
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: him cheat on women when y'all was just friends. Y'all
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: been dating for five years, you bring him a lot
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: of grief he bringing on hisself. You have moved in
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: with the man, you have moved out with the man.
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: He don't spend time with him if he can get
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: you back with the tennis breakers. Now before you go
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: back to him, you're telling him he needs to clean up.
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: He clean up. He pulled the sheets back. There's some
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: panties in the bed. You say, what of olds? He
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: take a remote and flick him out. He said, they
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: your panties. Now you say, if there are your panties,
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: he ain't washed his sheets in the month, which can happen. Honestly,
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: I could have been drinking and forgot to get my panties.
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: Now you be that damn drunk when you leave your
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: draw somewhere. You sound like a man now, But I
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: don't recall doing that before I moved out. It's my
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: word against his, and I hate to punish him if
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: the panties on mine. See you do a lot of
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: You already said in your letter, you bring him a
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: lot of grief.
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: Who are you? You're judging Jerry?
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: You just out issuing punishment now you're talking about I
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: would hate to punish him if the panties on mind?
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: Is it a coincidence that he's cheating with the girl
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: that wears the same brand and sighs of pannies that
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: I do. It's no way you fit to get me
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: on this right here. You have too much admission of
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: guilt on your part. You would have left them. Those
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: are your panties, he said, there was your panties, And
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: I don't think he lying because.
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: They the same brand, in the same side. And what's
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: the chances of that happened? Very slim?
- 1:06:20Speaker 7: So yeah, them your damn panties. And they've been tucked
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: down at the end of that bed for a month.
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: And yeah, he ain't watched him in a month. You
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: got in the minywhay you ain't notice that? So lady,
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: should I trust him? I really don't care. Just relationship
- 1:06:40Speaker 7: ain't going nowhere, no down, nowhere whatever?
- 1:06:44Speaker 10: All right.

- 1:06:54Speaker 12: Good downloaded today. Coming up at forty six minutes after
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: the hour of Sports Talk with Junior.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening.
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: Hard Morning Show.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: All right, guys, Junior is here with Sports Talk. What
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: you got, Junior?
- 1:07:08Speaker 14: I know, Carl, I know Toash happy right now.
- 1:07:10Speaker 9: I know that.
- 1:07:10Speaker 11: I know.
- 1:07:11Speaker 14: I know Tash is happy.
- 1:07:12Speaker 13: Saints over the Chiefs twenty six and twenty four. I
- 1:07:15Speaker 13: know in the preseason game. But Saints cut all they wins.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Let me tell you, Junior, he was sitting on there,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: couchy and the wings.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: Very happy.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: US was very happy.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:07:26Speaker 13: Man, that's a good game though, I mean it could
- 1:07:28Speaker 13: have went the other way, but the interception in the
- 1:07:29Speaker 13: red zone. I mean, only twenty got it field goal
- 1:07:32Speaker 13: game over US. So congratulated to the Saints on the
- 1:07:34Speaker 13: preseason win. All right, Let's get to this though, James going.
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: To the super Bowl. Who's going to the Super BOWLS.
- 1:07:42Speaker 14: Don't say that right now.
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: We don't want a minute. No no no, no no no,
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: no no no. Don't worry about the Junior. You know
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: how I remember stuff. That's my brain. Remember that time
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: Thomas said that Texas is going to the super Bowl.
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: Let's go.
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: I go ahead.
- 1:08:04Speaker 13: In August, speaking of him, man, James Hard is upset again.
- 1:08:09Speaker 14: Now he's upset.
- 1:08:10Speaker 13: Remember he signed his deal to play for the seventy sixers,
- 1:08:14Speaker 13: and then he's supposed to get traded.
- 1:08:16Speaker 14: Right, was a signing trade, all right? Well the seventy
- 1:08:19Speaker 14: sixty said they ain't trade them.
- 1:08:21Speaker 13: So then James Hard takes the social media and says
- 1:08:24Speaker 13: Daryl Morey, who's the GM, is a liar and he
- 1:08:27Speaker 13: will not be a part of an organization that lies.
- 1:08:30Speaker 14: He said it again. I want to say Daryl Morey
- 1:08:32Speaker 14: is a liar? Okay, he said that. Now is this
- 1:08:36Speaker 14: a way for him just to get out anyway? Because
- 1:08:38Speaker 14: the trade talks have fell through with the Los Angeles Clippers?
- 1:08:41Speaker 13: Now, is this a way for him to force his
- 1:08:43Speaker 13: way out if he just talks about the GM time
- 1:08:46Speaker 13: when everybody play their coney.
- 1:08:48Speaker 14: Yeah, he used to be anything.
- 1:08:57Speaker 10: I'll be on de block, just getting ready. I don't
- 1:08:59Speaker 10: know care what y'all talking about.
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: Yeah, but he's not.
- 1:09:05Speaker 14: Happy, so I don't know if he should just you know, hey, man,
- 1:09:08Speaker 14: just go ahead and play.
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: I don't care what.
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: Himself personally, I really don't care why you say that.
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: I just don't Why Why should I care what James
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: Harden did. I don't give a damn he likes Soul Club.
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: I'm just asked he got his jersey put up in
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: a strip club in Houston.
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: Well, I'm not mad at that. Now I am mad
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: at it either, But why am I worried about what
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: he do? James ain't got no whit. I thought that
- 1:09:41Speaker 6: you should just play you're not mad? Does he have
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: any kids? I don't think soth okay live in his
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: best life? Mm hmm, yeah yeah, But do you want
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: a ring? That's what we're playing for. Do you want
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: to ring?
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: Do you want to win?
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: I don't want to go out with him a couple
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: of nights. Let's just do that.
- 1:10:02Speaker 14: Let's just now he plays Dog to the Strip love time.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, thank you, Junior.
- 1:10:12Speaker 12: Coming up at the top of the hour, Steve, someone
- 1:10:14Speaker 12: wants some advice from social media.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Uh the subject I may not be the father. We'll
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: talk about it right after this.
- 1:10:21Speaker 9: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:26Speaker 12: All right, So Steve's bow on Steve HARVFM rights. For
- 1:10:29Speaker 12: the past seven months, I've been on cloud nine knowing
- 1:10:32Speaker 12: that I was going to be a father. Today I
- 1:10:34Speaker 12: learned some news that shook up everything. Around the same
- 1:10:37Speaker 12: time my girlfriend got pregnant. I found out she went
- 1:10:40Speaker 12: to a bachelorette party and things got a little crazy.
- 1:10:44Speaker 12: I've been told that my girl was a centerpiece in
- 1:10:46Speaker 12: action that involved all three male strippers working at the party,
- 1:10:51Speaker 12: and I'm told they didn't use protection.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Man Dog, Uncle Steve.
- 1:10:56Speaker 12: We've been talking about getting married, but now I'm not
- 1:10:58Speaker 12: sure I'm the father and it could be one of
- 1:11:01Speaker 12: the three guys she's hooked up with at the party.
- 1:11:03Speaker 12: How do I even address this with her? The people
- 1:11:05Speaker 12: who told me all of this are one hundred percent reliable,
- 1:11:09Speaker 12: and that doesn't even cover the thousands of dollars spent
- 1:11:12Speaker 12: getting ready for our so called baby.
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: God Wow.
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: First of all, you got to present her with the story,
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: give her a chance to respond, and then before you
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: move forward with anything, just I mean, I don't know
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: if you could take a DNA before the baby born,
- 1:11:32Speaker 7: so I don't know if that's possible, but you got
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: to take some type of paternity test to put yourself
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: at ease. But now all we talking about is this
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: baby right now? Because if you the center point of
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: the batter red party with three damn strippers and what
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: no protection used? Then bruh, Right there, we got a
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: whole nother problem. We ain't got to worry about no
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: me and you because it was too many. It was
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: too much of you and them. See, ain't no me
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: and you when it was a whole lot of you
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: and them while we was a me and you. See
- 1:12:07Speaker 7: that that ain't that ain't working for me because I
- 1:12:10Speaker 7: don't care how much you done drink. You got down
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: at the at the bachelorette party and three male strippers,
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: did you?
- 1:12:16Speaker 6: Are you kidding me?
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: No?
- 1:12:19Speaker 7: No, see see you making stupid decisions, and I ain't
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: eve gonna be a part of that.
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: So you better than me.
- 1:12:24Speaker 7: Tho, I ain't even worried about the baby right now.
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: I'm gonna get this relationship ending now. It's my son
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: or my daughter, and I'm taking care of business with
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: my children. Me and you pretty much a rap if
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: that's true, or if it's true, if you let three strips,
- 1:12:40Speaker 7: three three male strippers, do you, we're not finna.
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: We're not gonna go down this road together.
- 1:12:47Speaker 14: Yeah, so wait to find out though, that baby come
- 1:12:50Speaker 14: out and snatch that pampa.
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: We know who like a regular baby baby taking cash?
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: You stupid? That was funny, all grat.
- 1:13:29Speaker 14: Man man doing.
- 1:13:32Speaker 12: Man man, All right, I think we have time for
- 1:13:38Speaker 12: another one, Steve. This's from Mac on Facebook. He says,
- 1:13:42Speaker 12: for the first time in five years, we've got an
- 1:13:44Speaker 12: opening in our fantasy football league, and one member wants
- 1:13:47Speaker 12: to give the slot to his girlfriend. But I know
- 1:13:49Speaker 12: he is up to something because his girlfriend doesn't know
- 1:13:52Speaker 12: a darn thing about football. I think he either wants
- 1:13:55Speaker 12: to put in one team he knows will suck to
- 1:13:58Speaker 12: make one less team to worry about, or he wants
- 1:14:01Speaker 12: to co manage her team, tell her which players to draft,
- 1:14:04Speaker 12: and then convince her to make trades with him that'll
- 1:14:07Speaker 12: booster his team. In our league, we do everything by vote.
- 1:14:11Speaker 12: If she gets in, how can I head off any
- 1:14:13Speaker 12: shady moves?
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know nothing about fantasy football,
- 1:14:18Speaker 6: But I don't know why you were right in to me.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: He knows you know a lot about everything.
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: I don't know nothing about no fantasy football. I never
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: I don't do that. I don't never participated in it.
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: I don't know how to league work. I don't know
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: how to trades work. I don't know how you know
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: it's some shady going on. Any time a dude want
- 1:14:38Speaker 7: to put his girl in with him, he got a
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: plan but I don't want my white things. Nothing. I
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: do nothing fun. I try to include my spout, not cigars,
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: not golf, none of that. All right, I'll be just
- 1:15:01Speaker 7: messing up to fund John.
- 1:15:03Speaker 12: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:06Speaker 12: Show coming up the time and it's after the hour
- 1:15:08Speaker 12: right after that you're listening.
- 1:15:11Speaker 9: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: All right, Steve, we have a phone call.
- 1:15:16Speaker 12: Someone from Richmond, Virginia wants to talk to you about
- 1:15:19Speaker 12: your Elevatu product you want to see.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: I'll just call and let you know that we live
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: in Richmond, Virginia, and your product is not in the
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: end of the Walmart in Richmond, Virginia. And every time
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: you call or asked about it, they.
- 1:15:32Speaker 16: Act like they don't know.
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: So you need to tell them they need to need
- 1:15:35Speaker 3: to put your products out so people can find and
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: we can get them, or either they need to stop
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: advertising it because it's not in Walmart in Virginia.
- 1:15:45Speaker 7: Well, my only suggestion to you is please go to
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: Walmart dot com.
- 1:15:50Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: You know, you know, you know, when you first get
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: accepted into Walmart, it's it's a great partnership, but you know,
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: it's a it's a different type of role out. Some
- 1:16:01Speaker 7: stores get them before other stores, and some people hold
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: them for certain dates, and some people are holding it
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: to August and then we're supposed to do some cutouts
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: with Walmart and all this stuff and special displays. Some
- 1:16:13Speaker 7: people are holding it for that. So don't get discouraged.
- 1:16:17Speaker 7: I can't call Walmart. They do it a great job
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: with the so far, the product is doing really good.
- 1:16:22Speaker 7: But if you don't see it in your Walmart stores,
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: just go to Walmart dot com and just notify the
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: manager that you like the product, and then that may
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: make may make them look at them, you know, but
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: you ain't got to go in their start nothing.
- 1:16:35Speaker 11: You know.
- 1:16:36Speaker 6: Please don't play the race card. Yeah, yeah, don't don't. Don't.
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: Don't do that yet. It ain't it ain't there yet.
- 1:16:45Speaker 7: Just go to Walmart dot com and get the stick
- 1:16:48Speaker 7: packs in your gummies thinks.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: All right, all right, there you go, Thank you, Steve.
- 1:16:52Speaker 12: Coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour, we're
- 1:16:54Speaker 12: gonna play around I would you rather right after this
- 1:16:57Speaker 12: you're listening show time out for a round of would
- 1:17:02Speaker 12: you would you rather wake up and find yourself in
- 1:17:05Speaker 12: the middle of the desert or would you rather wake
- 1:17:08Speaker 12: up and find yourself in a rowboat in the middle
- 1:17:10Speaker 12: of the ocean, in the middle of the desert, or oh,
- 1:17:13Speaker 12: I need.
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: To be on that desert. Desert. Yeah, I can do
- 1:17:19Speaker 6: something in that desert. I can't do nothing that day
- 1:17:21Speaker 6: rowboat cast away.
- 1:17:25Speaker 16: We not.
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: Way too much happened if you don't stay in that day, robot.
- 1:17:32Speaker 6: Yeah all right.
- 1:17:34Speaker 12: Would you rather have a head as big as a
- 1:17:36Speaker 12: tennis ball or would you rather have a nose as
- 1:17:39Speaker 12: big as a watermelon?
- 1:17:41Speaker 6: A little bit ass tennis ball head? Well, when I
- 1:17:45Speaker 6: was nine, I actually had that.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: What a tennis ball head and a watermelon nose?
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: Well, it wasn't a tennis ball, That's what it looked like, though,
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: I still got the watermelon nose.
- 1:18:00Speaker 6: My head grew into it, so I'm mine now. It
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: used to be a little good all that nose.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Yeah, watermelon nose.
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: Watermelon nose. How about you to me with that turtle thoat?
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: Shut up? Watermelon nose, junior? What about you with that
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: egg plant haircut?
- 1:18:25Speaker 13: Well, I'm gonna take what tasball head and put this
- 1:18:27Speaker 13: hair haircut on it, and I should be back.
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: Now, Junior. Have you seen an egg plant? Yeah? I
- 1:18:36Speaker 6: see even how they got that little steel at the top. Yes, sir,
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: I notice how a lot of face on that egg climt.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: You should be yeah, all right?
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: Would you rather have.
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: A coming back? They got some stuff now from me?
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: And I saw them.
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: They put these things on me and give me waves
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: and everything. You gonna do that, I'm not doing that
- 1:19:00Speaker 7: already that way.
- 1:19:02Speaker 14: No, I'm not doing curls. I see that.
- 1:19:04Speaker 6: What if the glue come undone running down your face?
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Not doing that like Rudy Giuliani, that die?
- 1:19:15Speaker 10: All right?
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: What you would you rather have.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: A monkey as a pet or would you rather have
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: a giraffe as a pet.
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: Giraffe don't. I don't know how to feed him and
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: all that, But I was want the giraffe. Yeah, I'm different.
- 1:19:26Speaker 14: I'm gonna do the monkey.
- 1:19:29Speaker 6: What you're going? What the monkey's be getting out of to?
- 1:19:32Speaker 6: I ain't got time. I can't carry this monkey around us.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Michael Jackson did it? It was following bubbles.
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I've been on Michael's house. I saw the giraffe
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: and the monkey, and I ain't like either one of 'em.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Yeah both.
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: All I like was your train?
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Oh you're talking about it? Never lands.
- 1:19:52Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: His train was stopped. He had somebody working twenty four seven.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: He was stopped at the station and get candy in
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: and everything.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Wow, that's the money right there right, welcome train. Yeah,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: the Lions Tiger's bear.
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: A different kind of money. Money.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: All right, that's today's round of would you Rather?
- 1:20:19Speaker 12: Coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour, it's
- 1:20:21Speaker 12: our last break of the day, and we'll close out
- 1:20:23Speaker 12: the show with the one and only Steve Harvey right
- 1:20:26Speaker 12: after this.
- 1:20:27Speaker 9: You're listening Hary Morning Show.
- 1:20:30Speaker 12: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:20:32Speaker 12: the day on this Tuesday.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: And some sad news out of Hollywood.
- 1:20:37Speaker 12: The godfather of black entertainment, mister Claris a Vant, has
- 1:20:42Speaker 12: passed away.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: He was ninety two years old. Anyone who was.
- 1:20:46Speaker 12: Anybody in Hollywood had dealings with mister Avant. He managed
- 1:20:52Speaker 12: singer Sarah Vaughan back in the day. I mean he
- 1:20:56Speaker 12: did so much. He's worked with Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson,
- 1:20:59Speaker 12: Can Rogers, Queen Latifa.
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: Yes, here's what everybody needs to do. There's a documentary
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: out on class Avon and it's called The Black Godfather.
- 1:21:17Speaker 7: Everybody should watch it so you can understand there is
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: no explaining this man.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: He discovered.
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: Bill Withers documentary has moments in it, but it it
- 1:21:29Speaker 7: does him we well, but it don't tell the whole story.
- 1:21:33Speaker 7: And this younger generation has a tendency not to pay
- 1:21:38Speaker 7: attention to those before because you think he was a
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: hass been. But his having been is one of the
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: very reasons you have an opportunity to be who you are, sir.
- 1:21:50Speaker 7: He touched Hollywood, music and acting and sports in a
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: way that no one ever has done. Because doless go
- 1:21:58Speaker 7: out to the class Avon family, I know his son,
- 1:22:02Speaker 7: Condolences go out to the family.
- 1:22:04Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:22:05Speaker 7: What what a tremendous, tremendous gift he was to black people.
- 1:22:11Speaker 7: He empowered. It was an epitome of empowered edification and
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: uplift of black people. Condolences go out to the class
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: Avon fel.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: A true legend.
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: Yeah. As a good documentary, Yeah, you know. My close
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: remarks to that.
- 1:22:32Speaker 7: I just want to remind people if you have a goal,
- 1:22:37Speaker 7: an aspiration, or a dream, it is attainable, but you
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: have to remember something now, It really really is hard.
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: Wrap your mind around this as you start out on
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: the goal.
- 1:22:54Speaker 7: To achieve anything, Anything you want, anything you aspire to be,
- 1:23:04Speaker 7: is going to require some sacrifice. If you are not
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: willing to sacrifice, don't even worry about it, because it's
- 1:23:13Speaker 7: a part of it. Anything you want in life is
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: going to require some patience. If you don't have patience,
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: don't even worry about it. You're going to have to
- 1:23:24Speaker 7: develop something. If you don't like being uncomfortable, I want
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: to you can rest assured that whatever you want in
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: life is going to require that you are just to
- 1:23:38Speaker 7: being uncomfortable. One of my favorite things is is I
- 1:23:43Speaker 7: learned how to be. I learned how to get comfortable
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: being uncomfortable. You know, one of the things somebody asked me.
- 1:23:52Speaker 7: They said, hey, man, what is one of your strong suits?
- 1:23:56Speaker 7: And you know what I said, I know how to suffer.
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: And they went, man, that ain't no damn strong suit. Well,
- 1:24:06Speaker 7: you don't know the story. It is a strong suit
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: of yours. If you can get comfortable being uncomfortable, if
- 1:24:15Speaker 7: you understand that there are times in your life you
- 1:24:18Speaker 7: are going.
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: To have to suffer and you just have to stay
- 1:24:21Speaker 6: in it because this too shall pass.
- 1:24:24Speaker 7: It all goes away eventually, but if you go away
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: before it goes away, you never see the end result
- 1:24:30Speaker 7: of it. And that's what happens to people. They give
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: up in the middle of the hurt. They give up
- 1:24:35Speaker 7: in the middle of the pain. They give up in
- 1:24:37Speaker 7: the middle of the journey, and now you can never
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: get to the end of it. If you are after
- 1:24:43Speaker 7: something admirable, admirable, if you are after something worthwhile, if
- 1:24:48Speaker 7: you are after something that's going to be life changing,
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: if you are after something that's going to move the needle,
- 1:24:55Speaker 7: if you are about the business of being something to
- 1:24:58Speaker 7: help other people, if you are trying to be a
- 1:25:01Speaker 7: game changer, if you are in here this world to
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: be impactful, you are going to be challenged, and the
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: challenges are going to come in the form of some
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: type of pain. It will not be smooth, it will
- 1:25:18Speaker 7: not be easy. It is not going to be simplified.
- 1:25:22Speaker 7: It is going to be hard. That's the deal. I
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: was talking to somebody one time and they said, hey, man,
- 1:25:35Speaker 7: I'm not coming at you wrong, mister Harvey, but I
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: want to ask you. So far, I've seen a lot
- 1:25:41Speaker 7: of videos of you crying. And he said to me,
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: he said, why you always shed tears? I said, well,
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: A couple of reasons I said number one, y'all know
- 1:25:58Speaker 7: the headlines. I actually know the whole story. See you're
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: reading what they wrote. I know the fine print. I
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: know the story that never made it to the pages,
- 1:26:10Speaker 7: that never made it to the internet. I know all
- 1:26:13Speaker 7: of that, I said, And I got another piece of
- 1:26:16Speaker 7: news for you. Every time you see me with tears,
- 1:26:20Speaker 7: they ma ain't always tears. Sometimes them is scarred. A
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: lot of my tears ain't tied.
- 1:26:30Speaker 6: A lot of them. It's just scarved. And if you
- 1:26:32Speaker 6: don't understand that, it's because you ain't lived long enough yet.
- 1:26:36Speaker 6: But you keep living and you'll understand why I say that.
- 1:26:40Speaker 7: Hey, listen, y'all, if you're after something worthwhile, it's going
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: to be challenging to prepare yourself for the challenge. And
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: this truth shall pass and you will eventually get there.
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: But it's going to be hard. But it's okay. Others
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: have done it, so can you. Those are my clothes
- 1:26:56Speaker 7: remarks today. Hey, y'all talk to God today. Absolutely loved
- 1:26:59Speaker 7: it from you, all right.
- 1:27:01Speaker 9: Peace.
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: For all.
