- 0:12Speaker 3: Don't given them back.
- 0:15Speaker 2: A million bus busy listening to me.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Shot Joy Yah, yeah, Joy, you.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Love.
- 1:06Speaker 6: You gotta turn.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You got to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Turn you probably got to turn the mouth, turn out
- 1:46Speaker 3: the water the morning up, come.
- 1:58Speaker 7: Come out. You think that, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 7: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 8: You all listening to the voice, come on, dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 8: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 7: Man oh Man.
- 2:12Speaker 8: Oh Man symbolizes just one thing to me. Man, It's
- 2:16Speaker 8: just a constant remind of exactly how good God has.
- 2:19Speaker 7: Been to me over the years.
- 2:21Speaker 8: And I'm thank him for it too, because I realize
- 2:23Speaker 8: every day that I wake up that I would be
- 2:25Speaker 8: nothing without him. That everything I am, that's any good
- 2:30Speaker 8: in me, I owe to him.
- 2:32Speaker 7: Now. Have I made some mistakes along the way? Yep?
- 2:36Speaker 8: Bunches, bunches and bunches. And will I continue to make
- 2:40Speaker 8: mistakes along the way yep? Not as many, hopefully as
- 2:46Speaker 8: I have in the past, because a lot of stuff
- 2:49Speaker 8: I know better now. But you're still going to make
- 2:52Speaker 8: mistakes now, you know. Hopefully I've limited the amount of
- 2:58Speaker 8: intentional error in my life. I've wiped quite a few
- 3:02Speaker 8: of those out, but from time to time, because we're human,
- 3:06Speaker 8: we're going to make a mistake every now and then.
- 3:09Speaker 8: The trick, what it is, y'all, is not to let
- 3:12Speaker 8: the devil deceive you into thinking that once you make
- 3:14Speaker 8: that mistake that that's it. You can't do it. You
- 3:17Speaker 8: falling off the wagon, you can't reboard it. That's the
- 3:21Speaker 8: biggest trick that he uses. He makes you think that
- 3:25Speaker 8: if you keep stumbling, that you can't run the race.
- 3:32Speaker 8: It kind of reminds me of a marathon runner. From
- 3:36Speaker 8: time to time, I watch them on TV, and you'll
- 3:39Speaker 8: see some people who finish the race, you know, in
- 3:44Speaker 8: a nice pace. You see people finish the race sprinting
- 3:49Speaker 8: towards the finished line.
- 3:51Speaker 7: But every now.
- 3:51Speaker 8: And then you'll watch a marathon and you'll see a
- 3:55Speaker 8: runner and the runner is in really, really bad shape.
- 4:02Speaker 7: The key is they finish the race.
- 4:06Speaker 8: See, you don't get disqualified in the marathon because you stumble.
- 4:13Speaker 7: You don't. They don't.
- 4:14Speaker 8: They don't take your opportunity to finish the race because
- 4:19Speaker 8: you keep falling.
- 4:21Speaker 7: That's not the key.
- 4:23Speaker 8: The key is finishing and a lot of times what
- 4:26Speaker 8: the devil does is he makes you think that because
- 4:29Speaker 8: you keep stumbling, because you're swaying from side to side,
- 4:34Speaker 8: that you know you out the race. Well, that's not
- 4:36Speaker 8: the case. And see and then this thing called life.
- 4:40Speaker 8: Let me help you understand something. Everybody falls, Nobody sprints
- 4:44Speaker 8: to the tape in this one. Nobody just runs free
- 4:48Speaker 8: and clear that as some people running faster than you,
- 4:51Speaker 8: and all like this, and some people gonna get to
- 4:53Speaker 8: the end before you let them go ahead. And when
- 4:56Speaker 8: the end come, the end come. I ain't in the rust.
- 4:58Speaker 8: You get to the end. But in this race, though,
- 5:01Speaker 8: when you're stumbling and you're falling, it's a part of it.
- 5:05Speaker 8: No one gets through this race without stumbling and falling,
- 5:08Speaker 8: swaying from side to side. So don't let the enemy
- 5:13Speaker 8: to see you in the thinking that it's over. I
- 5:17Speaker 8: try to be encouraging to people because I don't want
- 5:21Speaker 8: people to get stuck on this thing, you know. And
- 5:24Speaker 8: my walk is very different from a lot of people's walks.
- 5:26Speaker 8: And then I know a lot of people who walking
- 5:28Speaker 8: in faith the way I'm walking in faith. But my
- 5:31Speaker 8: thing in the morning is just to remind those that
- 5:34Speaker 8: is not a perfect walk man.
- 5:36Speaker 7: That it's not.
- 5:38Speaker 8: Something that's set up where you're gonna be skipping through
- 5:42Speaker 8: life scott free without any pitfalls. You know, I keep
- 5:45Speaker 8: saying it over and over and over again because, like
- 5:48Speaker 8: I said, when I was in DC, my boy Hondo
- 5:52Speaker 8: said this to me and it just kind of stuck
- 5:54Speaker 8: with me that the road to construct, the road to
- 5:56Speaker 8: success is always under construction. You have to figure and
- 6:01Speaker 8: count on the setbacks and the pitfalls. But it's those
- 6:05Speaker 8: people that that that that are that fight through will
- 6:09Speaker 8: be the victors in the end. You cannot give up, man,
- 6:13Speaker 8: Stop going somewhere and sitting down every time something goes down.
- 6:18Speaker 8: It's going to go down. It's a part of it.
- 6:22Speaker 8: It's going to happen. It's going to occur that are
- 6:25Speaker 8: going to be setbacks. If you go and sit down
- 6:28Speaker 8: every time there's a setback, that's not how this works.
- 6:33Speaker 7: It is designed that way.
- 6:35Speaker 8: If success were easy, everybody would be successful. But success
- 6:41Speaker 8: is just reserved for those who are willing to fight through,
- 6:45Speaker 8: who refuse to settle for mediocrity, who wants something more. Now,
- 6:50Speaker 8: don't get me wrong. Success is defined by each individual.
- 6:55Speaker 8: So what I may consider to be successful. You may
- 6:58Speaker 8: not consider that. You know what Bill Gates considered successful.
- 7:03Speaker 8: I might not consider what Michael Jordan considered successful. I
- 7:07Speaker 8: might not consider what you consider successful. Your boss might
- 7:11Speaker 8: not consider You have to define what that is for yourself.
- 7:15Speaker 7: It may not be monetary at all.
- 7:18Speaker 8: You know, your level of success could be tied up
- 7:21Speaker 8: in community service. It could be tied up in family.
- 7:24Speaker 8: It could be tied up in the church. Your level
- 7:27Speaker 8: of success could be tied up into boys clubs. It
- 7:30Speaker 8: could be any number of things. Whatever your level of
- 7:34Speaker 8: success is, you have to determine what that is you
- 7:38Speaker 8: and the best way to determine that is to get
- 7:41Speaker 8: in touch with your maker, who created you, to find
- 7:45Speaker 8: out what your mission and your purpose is so he
- 7:49Speaker 8: can put you on track. I just had this conversation
- 7:52Speaker 8: with my son and we were talking about getting on
- 7:56Speaker 8: the path that God has.
- 7:57Speaker 7: Set up for you.
- 8:00Speaker 8: Times we find ourselves fighting through life because of so
- 8:03Speaker 8: much uncertainty, because we have no idea where we're headed.
- 8:09Speaker 8: It's like one of my sayings that I have at
- 8:14Speaker 8: my mentoring camp for boys is is that a boy
- 8:18Speaker 8: without a male role model is like an explorer without
- 8:22Speaker 8: a map. See if you don't have a map laid
- 8:28Speaker 8: out in front of you of where you're going when
- 8:32Speaker 8: you wake up every day. That pretty much explains the
- 8:36Speaker 8: feeling of confusion, the laxadaisical attitude, the lack of purpose,
- 8:44Speaker 8: to not understanding your mission because you don't have not
- 8:49Speaker 8: gotten in touch with your creator to find out exactly
- 8:53Speaker 8: what your path in life is. What are you supposed
- 8:56Speaker 8: to be doing? The moment you can identify that is
- 9:00Speaker 8: the moment that you get started waking up with purpose,
- 9:04Speaker 8: with the sense of direction. When you kill the sense
- 9:08Speaker 8: of I don't know what's next or what to do. Now,
- 9:11Speaker 8: there's going to be some confusing moments no matter what happened,
- 9:13Speaker 8: It's going to be some uncertainty, but at least you'll
- 9:16Speaker 8: know where you're going. So if you tied awakening up
- 9:19Speaker 8: feeling loss, abandon, confuse, don't know what to do, don't
- 9:24Speaker 8: know what you're supposed to be doing, refer back to
- 9:29Speaker 8: your maker because when he created you, he had a
- 9:33Speaker 8: plan for you.
- 9:34Speaker 7: When he created you, he had a path for you.
- 9:38Speaker 8: Now we've made some decisions to get off of both
- 9:40Speaker 8: of those, the mission and the path, but God can
- 9:44Speaker 8: get you right back on track. Do that today, Ask
- 9:48Speaker 8: him what you're supposed to be doing, and listen. God
- 9:53Speaker 8: has all the answers if you form the relationship.
- 9:56Speaker 9: Okay, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, Today is a new day, and what
- 10:08Speaker 8: a blessing it is to partake in it. Do not
- 10:11Speaker 8: overlook the fact that God has given us another chance,
- 10:15Speaker 8: another opportunity to get it right, to fix any wrongs
- 10:18Speaker 8: we might have had.
- 10:19Speaker 7: But just sometimes you just gotta wake up and.
- 10:21Speaker 8: Be grateful for where you are, with what you have,
- 10:24Speaker 8: for what He's done for you. And then sometimes you
- 10:28Speaker 8: just gotta ask for forgiveness and move on. And once
- 10:31Speaker 8: you ask for forgiveness, know that God is in a
- 10:34Speaker 8: forgiven business. People ain't. People are not in the forgiving business.
- 10:42Speaker 8: I can tell you that for a fact. But once
- 10:45Speaker 8: God has forgiven you and you got somebody who won't,
- 10:49Speaker 8: just remove them from your space. That's all deuces and
- 10:54Speaker 8: keep it moving, Ladies and gentlemen. Steve Harv MORNI Show,
- 10:57Speaker 8: Shirley Strawberry Callinfrail, Mississippi Monica and the legend that is
- 11:01Speaker 8: Nephew Thommas Jr.
- 11:02Speaker 10: Up.
- 11:04Speaker 11: Ready boy, yes, say, since you said that, Uncle, what's
- 11:08Speaker 11: some key things in your prayers that you discovered about
- 11:11Speaker 11: God when you pray and He show you something and
- 11:14Speaker 11: you see it happen.
- 11:15Speaker 7: What's something that you've seen God do for you?
- 11:18Speaker 8: Well, I mean, it's just the realization that he's ever present.
- 11:23Speaker 8: It's the realization that he is ever present. That God
- 11:28Speaker 8: is available, man. God is available twenty four seven to
- 11:33Speaker 8: anyone who calls earnestly on him. Now you got to
- 11:38Speaker 8: call him and mean it. Now that ain't no all
- 11:41Speaker 8: Jesus or Jesus no man for real, talk to him,
- 11:45Speaker 8: not as a saying. You know, people throw his name
- 11:49Speaker 8: around lou sometimes, but when you call him, I mean,
- 11:53Speaker 8: really call him.
- 11:54Speaker 7: It's an immediate response.
- 11:56Speaker 8: Whenever I find myself off balance, for his name to myself,
- 12:02Speaker 8: and he comes calms me right on down. Then you
- 12:06Speaker 8: can do it however you want to. I happen to
- 12:09Speaker 8: believe in Jesus Christ. That's that's my faith. It has
- 12:13Speaker 8: worked for me. Now, I don't knock nobody else's faith.
- 12:18Speaker 8: There's some stuff just ain't for me. But I know
- 12:22Speaker 8: one that is, and that's the most powerful name I know.
- 12:29Speaker 8: And so that comes in and it calms me. And
- 12:31Speaker 8: that's what That's what I do, man, I just try
- 12:34Speaker 8: to I've learned the difference between praying, though. Praying is
- 12:38Speaker 8: talking to God. Meditating is listening to God. It's important
- 12:42Speaker 8: that you do both. You see prayers just you talking you.
- 12:47Speaker 7: You You might show gratitude, but mostly asking for something.
- 12:50Speaker 7: Let you keep it will.
- 12:53Speaker 8: Let's just keep it one hundred most of the time
- 12:57Speaker 8: you asking for something. Have you ever thought about meditating?
- 13:01Speaker 8: Meditating and just listening. Somebody asked me one time, well,
- 13:06Speaker 8: how you know God talking to you? I asked that
- 13:08Speaker 8: the Bishop Kenneth Omber one time. He said, because God's
- 13:12Speaker 8: voice has no sin in it. You ever had somebody
- 13:15Speaker 8: come up to you and saying, man, I'm glad I
- 13:18Speaker 8: ran up into you. God told me to come down here.
- 13:20Speaker 8: You know what you ought to do. You ought to
- 13:21Speaker 8: go down there and tell them people off. God ain't
- 13:24Speaker 8: told you that. God has said that to you. God's
- 13:27Speaker 8: voice has no.
- 13:28Speaker 7: Sin in it.
- 13:29Speaker 8: And stop coming up to me telling you what God
- 13:32Speaker 8: told you to tell me.
- 13:33Speaker 7: I talked to him every day.
- 13:35Speaker 9: He ain't mention you.
- 13:37Speaker 12: All right, on that note, I'll say this coming up
- 13:41Speaker 12: at thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll run that
- 13:43Speaker 12: prank back with the nephew. Right after this, you're listening
- 13:48Speaker 12: Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 13:54Speaker 11: If you're a homeowner, you know it took years of saving,
- 13:56Speaker 11: planning and hard work to get in the door. Didn't
- 13:58Speaker 11: make that house a home. Now, all that effort has
- 14:01Speaker 11: built something hugely valuable. Equity is the portion of your
- 14:05Speaker 11: home you truly own that can be tapped to fun.
- 14:07Speaker 9: What's next?

- 14:24Speaker 9: It is time now to run that brink back with
- 14:26Speaker 9: the nephew. What you got for is ne f.
- 14:28Speaker 13: If you can't talk straight at the barber shop, where
- 14:31Speaker 13: can you talk straight? Yes, we are talking about the
- 14:35Speaker 13: barber shop man. When I come into the shop and
- 14:38Speaker 13: I get a hair cut, which I don't anymore, but
- 14:40Speaker 13: when I did. When I sit in the chair and
- 14:43Speaker 13: you turn the chair, I would appreciate it if you
- 14:45Speaker 13: turn the chair with your hand, all right, not your
- 14:49Speaker 13: pelvic thacts, not your mid section.
- 14:51Speaker 7: Two moved cheare like that down. You can't do that
- 14:55Speaker 7: till me.
- 14:55Speaker 13: Don't do that, man, you have to take the chair
- 14:57Speaker 13: and turn the chair with your hand. All goes down
- 15:01Speaker 13: at the barber shop, cat dog, if you would, Brady,
- 15:05Speaker 13: how you doing?
- 15:06Speaker 7: Man?
- 15:06Speaker 13: My name, my name is Dennis Man. I got a
- 15:07Speaker 13: haircut from you a couple of weeks ago.
- 15:09Speaker 14: Yeah, what's up?
- 15:11Speaker 13: Hey, listen? I wanted to get an appointment with you, man.
- 15:14Speaker 13: Like I said, I was there a couple of weeks ago. Man,
- 15:16Speaker 13: my first time getting a haircut from you, did real,
- 15:18Speaker 13: real good jobs. I want to say thank you for that.
- 15:20Speaker 15: All right?
- 15:22Speaker 13: Okay, do you do you have any any time available
- 15:26Speaker 13: on Thursday?
- 15:27Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 15:27Speaker 15: Yeah, for sure.
- 15:28Speaker 16: Uh every five.
- 15:30Speaker 15: What's what's what's your name here?
- 15:31Speaker 16: Bro?
- 15:32Speaker 7: Dennis Man? Dennis?
- 15:34Speaker 15: Okay, Dennis? Why she had Dennis about about three o'clock, man,
- 15:37Speaker 15: some of that nature. I mean, you know, I know
- 15:39Speaker 15: I'm the work off formers, you know.
- 15:40Speaker 7: Okay, three o'clock you'll be there.
- 15:42Speaker 14: Yeah, okay.
- 15:44Speaker 17: Hey.
- 15:45Speaker 13: I got a little bit of a situation though, man,
- 15:47Speaker 13: that happened last time I was there. I kind of
- 15:49Speaker 13: wanted to talk to you about it, man, because it
- 15:51Speaker 13: kind of caught me off guard. So I wanted to
- 15:55Speaker 13: highly at you, man and see if we could rectify
- 15:57Speaker 13: the problem.
- 15:58Speaker 7: For I came back up there.
- 15:59Speaker 16: What happened?
- 16:00Speaker 15: Somebody to respect yourself? I mean, what was to deal?
- 16:02Speaker 7: Well?
- 16:03Speaker 13: What it really wasn't somebody man? It was it was?
- 16:06Speaker 13: It was it was actually you me.
- 16:08Speaker 15: Well, I mean, what's the his deal?
- 16:11Speaker 8: Man?
- 16:11Speaker 13: When you was cutting my hair? It when it was
- 16:13Speaker 13: time to turn the chair, you didn't turn the chair
- 16:18Speaker 13: with with with with with your hand man. See Brady, man,
- 16:21Speaker 13: you you turned the chair with your with your private part.
- 16:25Speaker 15: Oh, come on, say I mean, Dan, I'm a professional man.
- 16:29Speaker 15: I've been doing this fifteen years, right right.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I don't think it's anything deliberate. Man.
- 16:33Speaker 13: I think you just do it unconsciously, man, cause you
- 16:36Speaker 13: know you be leaning over on the chair cutting, and
- 16:38Speaker 13: I think you don't realize, you know, you be turning
- 16:41Speaker 13: the chair with your private part instead of doing it
- 16:44Speaker 13: with your hand man. And to see, my hands got
- 16:46Speaker 13: caught out there and I saw it out the corner
- 16:49Speaker 13: my eyes. I saw your private part coming towards my hand.
- 16:51Speaker 13: I moved it just in time.
- 16:53Speaker 15: Yesderstand, But see Thennis, I'm not understanding something, bro, because
- 16:58Speaker 15: I don't.
- 16:59Speaker 7: I don't.
- 16:59Speaker 15: We don't operate that Ryan is because you know I
- 17:02Speaker 15: don't make mistakes like that. But I mean, you know,
- 17:04Speaker 15: I don't know you. You're sure you're talking to the
- 17:06Speaker 15: right person, man, Yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 7: I mean, ain't you the third chair on the right
- 17:09Speaker 7: when you walk in the door.
- 17:10Speaker 14: Yeah, that's correct.
- 17:11Speaker 7: Okay, that's what I'm talking about.
- 17:12Speaker 13: Man, And you cut me two weeks ago, and like
- 17:15Speaker 13: I said, I really like my haircuts, so I wanted
- 17:16Speaker 13: to call back and rectify this problem. But you know
- 17:19Speaker 13: you're gonna turn the chair with your hand and not
- 17:21Speaker 13: your private part. If not, we're gonna have a problem.
- 17:24Speaker 15: Okay, But I feel you and I understand your your
- 17:27Speaker 15: complaint and everything. I mean, I'm not understanding what you're saying,
- 17:31Speaker 15: but but I don't do that, you know. But I
- 17:33Speaker 15: mean we we'll be glad. You know what I'm saying.
- 17:35Speaker 15: Get you another cut or whatever? You understand? Men, you know,
- 17:38Speaker 15: but I don't move nobody no round with my pride.
- 17:41Speaker 16: Man.
- 17:41Speaker 14: You know that's just not being Okay.
- 17:43Speaker 13: I understand what you're saying, but I want you to
- 17:46Speaker 13: hear what I'm saying. If you put your private on
- 17:48Speaker 13: there at all, when I come in there Thursday. Then
- 17:53Speaker 13: I promise you I'm gonna jump up and we're gonna
- 17:55Speaker 13: have a problem.
- 17:55Speaker 15: Well well let's see now not right there, and I'm
- 17:59Speaker 15: not I'm not fitting that jump up having a problem
- 18:01Speaker 15: because you know, you don't really know me like that. Bro,
- 18:03Speaker 15: You know what I mean. I'm trying to be a
- 18:05Speaker 15: professional here and and solve your little issues that you
- 18:08Speaker 15: got to understand me. But but all is jumping up
- 18:10Speaker 15: and stuff you're talking about doing. I don't know that.
- 18:13Speaker 13: I'm trying to come in and get a nice haircut
- 18:15Speaker 13: and walk out with a nice haircut. What I don't
- 18:18Speaker 13: want to do is come down there, you lean over,
- 18:21Speaker 13: put your private part where I got my arms in
- 18:23Speaker 13: my hands, and I gotta whoop you.
- 18:25Speaker 15: Now, that's what I don't secure.
- 18:26Speaker 16: Fold.
- 18:27Speaker 14: Now you're starting you're touching me wrong, talking about it.
- 18:29Speaker 13: You're talking about I'm touching you wrong. You touched me

- 42:07Speaker 16: curious about.
- 42:08Speaker 14: You know, thetesy. Hey, that's fine, but how did you
- 42:11Speaker 14: You didn't answer my question? How did you get my
- 42:13Speaker 14: phone number? Because I didn't give it to anybody there,
- 42:16Speaker 14: So you you've done something that to obtain.
- 42:19Speaker 16: My Well, I went on it. I went on and
- 42:21Speaker 16: research and what it took to get a number. So yeah,

- 42:26Speaker 16: that you tipped me the way you did.
- 42:28Speaker 14: Well, it's bothering me that you called me in the
- 42:30Speaker 14: middle of the day asking me about a tip. First
- 42:33Speaker 14: of all, you how much did you say I tipped you?

- 42:45Speaker 14: wrong number. You got the wrong number because, first of all,
- 42:48Speaker 14: I took more than five dollars. I used to work
- 42:50Speaker 14: for tips, brush, so let me explain that to you.
- 42:52Speaker 14: I used to work for tips, and I know what
- 42:54Speaker 14: it's like. And then five dollars is no, you got

- 43:34Speaker 14: got plenty money. I don't need you to call me
- 43:37Speaker 14: tell me how to tip. I told you, man, I
- 43:39Speaker 14: used to work for tips. I don't need you to
- 43:41Speaker 14: call me.
- 43:41Speaker 16: You would you would you would think that if you would,

- 50:00Speaker 13: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry Letter,
- 50:03Speaker 13: all right, and.
- 50:04Speaker 12: If you thank you. Subject my new man has no
- 50:08Speaker 12: home training. Dear Stephen Shirley, I met a man that
- 50:12Speaker 12: I'm dating on a dating app. We have a lot
- 50:14Speaker 12: in common and we enjoy the same types of movies
- 50:17Speaker 12: and music. I love to ride my bike and he
- 50:20Speaker 12: loves to jog, so I was happy about that. The
- 50:23Speaker 12: only thing we don't have in common is home training.
- 50:27Speaker 12: He doesn't have any. He was raised in the Midwest,
- 50:30Speaker 12: and he has a problem with manners. He and his
- 50:32Speaker 12: parents talk like their old friends, So what if he's
- 50:36Speaker 12: forty five. He shouldn't be using a lot of profanity
- 50:38Speaker 12: in conversation with his parents. He certainly can't do that
- 50:41Speaker 12: around my parents. When we're out at restaurants, he points
- 50:44Speaker 12: to what he wants on the menu and then tries
- 50:47Speaker 12: to add substitutions to everything he orders. He's cooked for
- 50:51Speaker 12: me once and we ate on paper plates, so I
- 50:54Speaker 12: could not tell if the food was good or not
- 50:56Speaker 12: since it wasn't played it correctly. I feel like a
- 50:59Speaker 12: man his ai with such a good job should be
- 51:01Speaker 12: more refined in conversation. He will often refer to a
- 51:05Speaker 12: woman as the B word and the men as the
- 51:08Speaker 12: N word. He has me afraid to have sex with
- 51:10Speaker 12: him because he keeps telling me that he's going to
- 51:13Speaker 12: put it on me and I'm going to need gatorade
- 51:16Speaker 12: after that. That's not sexy talk to me, And the
- 51:19Speaker 12: two months that I've known him, I keep asking him
- 51:22Speaker 12: to tone it down. Talk softer and be more polite.
- 51:25Speaker 9: When we go out to dinner.
- 51:27Speaker 12: He told me that I would have to get used
- 51:28Speaker 12: to a down to earth man like him, because he
- 51:31Speaker 12: isn't going to change at his age. I want him
- 51:34Speaker 12: to be polite and respectful to others and around others
- 51:38Speaker 12: like he is when it's just the two of us.
- 51:40Speaker 12: I also don't want him to use his foul language
- 51:42Speaker 12: around my parents. I hate to throw a good man
- 51:45Speaker 12: away because of this, And can a forty five year
- 51:48Speaker 12: old man change his ways? Well, let's be honest here.
- 51:52Speaker 12: This man is just not for you, I mean, and
- 51:55Speaker 12: what makes him such a good man in your eyes?
- 51:58Speaker 12: First of all, five isn't that old. He is young
- 52:01Speaker 12: enough to learn some manners in some refinement. That's if,
- 52:04Speaker 12: and it's a big if if he wants to. He
- 52:07Speaker 12: doesn't think he needs to change right now. So you're
- 52:11Speaker 12: gonna have to take him like he is or leave.
- 52:13Speaker 12: I mean, those are your options. I mean, I agree
- 52:15Speaker 12: that manners are a lost art, they are important, and
- 52:19Speaker 12: he's very far far gone calling women the B word,
- 52:23Speaker 12: I mean that's inappropriate. Tell him how you feel and
- 52:26Speaker 12: see what he says, and see what he does. More importantly,
- 52:30Speaker 12: if it's not to your liking and to your expectations,
- 52:33Speaker 12: I say, don't waste any more time with him.
- 52:35Speaker 9: Don't settle if this isn't what you want.
- 52:38Speaker 8: Steve, Oh okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, this is a letter
- 52:46Speaker 8: about the unrefined. I had to look it up because
- 52:50Speaker 8: I've been referred to myself as a country bumpkin, So
- 52:54Speaker 8: this is probably what this is right here.
- 52:57Speaker 7: So let's go get this.
- 52:58Speaker 8: Let out the way, let me straighten you up on
- 53:00Speaker 8: a couple of things, and then I'm gonna do a
- 53:02Speaker 8: reenactment of how he talking to your parents and all
- 53:05Speaker 8: the stuff I know he said, cause I've been around
- 53:08Speaker 8: people like this my whole life. Matter of fact, I
- 53:11Speaker 8: want to just say this, I enjoyed reading this letter
- 53:14Speaker 8: because I feel like I know several people that could
- 53:17Speaker 8: have wrote this letter, or at least I know who
- 53:20Speaker 8: this letter's about.
- 53:21Speaker 7: Met a man online.
- 53:23Speaker 8: We got a lot in common, like the same movies
- 53:25Speaker 8: and music and everything.
- 53:26Speaker 7: I like to ride my bike.
- 53:28Speaker 8: He liked the job, so I was happy. Only thing
- 53:31Speaker 8: we ain't got in common is he ain't got no
- 53:33Speaker 8: home trade. He was raised in the Midwest, and he
- 53:37Speaker 8: got a problem with manners. Now I don't know how
- 53:39Speaker 8: you connected them to. Yeah, you said, he don't. He
- 53:45Speaker 8: was raised in the Midwest, and he has a problem
- 53:48Speaker 8: with manners. I know a lot of people in the
- 53:53Speaker 8: Midwest have got great manners, So I don't know how
- 53:55Speaker 8: you connected them to. He and his parents talk like
- 53:58Speaker 8: their old friend. Dadd Hey, what you been doing with
- 54:04Speaker 8: your whole You good, though? Hey hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 54:11Speaker 8: hey hey daddy, that hear you breathing. Man, Go ahead
- 54:13Speaker 8: and do something with yourself. Call me back when you
- 54:15Speaker 8: get your breast together. Yeah, hey, dad, remember that time
- 54:21Speaker 8: you gave me that whooping. I'm gonna be over there
- 54:23Speaker 8: about five minutes.
- 54:23Speaker 2: I'm finna whoop you.
- 54:27Speaker 7: Okay.
- 54:28Speaker 8: He shouldn't be using for fanity in conversation with his parents.
- 54:31Speaker 8: He certainly couldn't do that around mine. Then, when y'all
- 54:34Speaker 8: go out the restaurants, he points to what he wants
- 54:36Speaker 8: on the menu, then tries to add substitutions to his artist. Oh,
- 54:41Speaker 8: I know exactly how it is going. I would like
- 54:44Speaker 8: the spaghetti. The spaghetti right, meat sauce.
- 54:51Speaker 7: Yes. Now, excuse me, ma'am. I don't want the spaghetti.
- 54:55Speaker 9: Though, it's changing already substituted.
- 55:00Speaker 8: I want to put spaghetti and meat salt, but I
- 55:02Speaker 8: don't want to spaghetti.
- 55:06Speaker 7: Also, I like order of.
- 55:09Speaker 8: Pancakes okay, but I don't want you to make it
- 55:16Speaker 8: with batter, you know, just do something else with mine
- 55:21Speaker 8: I don't like.
- 55:24Speaker 7: And let me see what else I want on? Oh?
- 55:28Speaker 8: And uh that sweet potato with the butter on it.
- 55:31Speaker 8: I don't want the butter. I want uh uh croc spread.
- 55:41Speaker 7: Do y'all have? I can't believe it's butter. I want that.
- 55:48Speaker 8: So anyway, that's what's going on. But uh, he does
- 55:53Speaker 8: everything wrong. He played at your food one time he
- 55:56Speaker 8: cooked for you, but you couldn't tell him if it
- 55:57Speaker 8: was good or not because it wasn't.
- 55:59Speaker 7: Play it correctly. Oh you don't like your food? Touch?
- 56:05Speaker 8: Well, when you go on your stomach, ain't he gonna touch?
- 56:08Speaker 8: See that's the problem she had what to do with
- 56:11Speaker 8: no manners? Call women the B word and call me
- 56:14Speaker 8: in the end word.
- 56:15Speaker 12: Well, hang on, hang on, Steve. We'll have part two
- 56:19Speaker 12: of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 56:22Speaker 12: today's Strawberry Letters. Subject is my man has no home training.
- 56:27Speaker 12: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 56:31Speaker 12: Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 56:37Speaker 13: On August sixth, Get ready to laugh all the way

- 56:56Speaker 13: Tim Story, director of Barbarishap. The Pickup features an all
- 56:59Speaker 13: star cast including Eva Longoria, Marshawn Lynch, and Andrew Dice Klay.
- 57:03Speaker 13: You Pickup come into Prime Video August the sixth.
- 57:08Speaker 12: All right, come on, Steve Let's recap today Strawberry letter.
- 57:11Speaker 12: The subject is my new man has no home training.
- 57:15Speaker 8: All right, this is the problem. They've met online, they've
- 57:18Speaker 8: been dating and everything, and she loves the guy. They
- 57:20Speaker 8: work out, they do things together, like same music and everything.
- 57:24Speaker 8: But she says he's from the mid West and he
- 57:26Speaker 8: ain't got no home training, so that's been a problem
- 57:28Speaker 8: for her. He was raised in the mid West, she say,
- 57:31Speaker 8: And but that don't make no sense here, and his
- 57:34Speaker 8: parents talk like their old friends. He uses profanity with
- 57:38Speaker 8: his parents and he certainly can't do that around mine.
- 57:42Speaker 8: When you at the restaurant, he points out what he
- 57:44Speaker 8: wants on the menu, and then he always substitutes everything,
- 57:48Speaker 8: so you know, I gave the example like, you know, hey,
- 57:50Speaker 8: I like this spaghetti, please with meat sauce or excuse me, ma'am,
- 57:55Speaker 8: but I don't want the spaghetti. Put mine on. Put
- 57:59Speaker 8: my need sauce from the spaghetti on some Now. I
- 58:03Speaker 8: don't kill with you, I just want substitute. And also, ma'am,
- 58:08Speaker 8: I like the Philly cheese sandwich Philly cheese steak sandwich,
- 58:12Speaker 8: but I don't want the steak me all right now,
- 58:17Speaker 8: I don't want chicken. But what meat do you want
- 58:20Speaker 8: on it? Y'all got pig feet back there? So anyway,
- 58:27Speaker 8: and then he cooked for me once and we ate
- 58:29Speaker 8: on paper plates, so I could not tell if the
- 58:32Speaker 8: food was good or not since it wasn't plated properly.
- 58:36Speaker 8: I don't even know what that means. Lady, Well, how'd
- 58:39Speaker 8: you want him to plate the food? I just feel
- 58:43Speaker 8: like a man with a good job should be more
- 58:44Speaker 8: refined in conversation. He ought to refers to women as
- 58:47Speaker 8: the B word and men as the N word. He
- 58:50Speaker 8: has me afraid to have sex with him because He
- 58:54Speaker 8: keep telling me that he gonna put it on me
- 58:58Speaker 8: and I'm gonna need gator raid afterwards.
- 59:02Speaker 7: Now, I don't know why that's you want to talk
- 59:06Speaker 7: to this woman that waited.
- 59:07Speaker 8: You even meddle this day now because you know you
- 59:11Speaker 8: already know she physically active because she rides bikes, and
- 59:14Speaker 8: he liked the job, so she figured that, you know,
- 59:17Speaker 8: since he liked the job, she could ride next to
- 59:19Speaker 8: him on his bike. Yeah, oh, you think you're on
- 59:22Speaker 8: that bicycle seat? You wait an I get on you.
- 59:26Speaker 8: You're gonna need cater raid. You're gonna need gator rade
- 59:29Speaker 8: be cause we're gonna be out here like we're on
- 59:30Speaker 8: a football field.
- 59:32Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 59:33Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, that's what we can do. Oh that's real sexy.
- 59:36Speaker 7: She says, that's not sexy. Talk to me. Two months
- 59:39Speaker 7: i've known him.
- 59:39Speaker 8: I keep asking him to tone it down, talks off,
- 59:42Speaker 8: to be more polite when we go out to dinner.
- 59:44Speaker 7: He told me, I gotta get used to it down to.
- 59:46Speaker 8: Earth man like him, because he isn't going to change
- 59:49Speaker 8: at his age. I want him be polite and respectful
- 59:53Speaker 8: to others and around others like he is when he's
- 59:56Speaker 8: just the two of us. I also don't want him
- 59:57Speaker 8: to use file language around my parents. I hate to
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: throw a good man away because of this. Can a
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: forty five year old man change in his ways? Well,
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: he may not be a good man. I've told you,
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: ladies once and for all. All men can change, and
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: all men will change, but there's only one woman that
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: we are changing for the rest of You get what
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: it is, and you are in the rest of them
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: category right now because he told you he ain't changing.
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: So now listen to me.
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: Stop letting men tell you what they not gonna do
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: when it's an honorable request of yours, and then, thinking
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: you're throwing away a good man, listen to me one
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: more time.
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: All men can change, all men.
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: Will change, but there is only one woman that we
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: are changing for the rest of You get what it is,
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: And he then told you you just have to get
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: what it is. You gotta get used to it. Down
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: the earth man like him, because he ain't gonna change
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: in his age.
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: He just wrong. Now let's do a little re enactment.
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: Shirley Caller asked me anything, and I'm gonna show you
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: this down to her man that don't care nothing about nothing,

- 1:01:21Speaker 8: call you baby though. But everybody else going to this

- 1:23:10Speaker 7: Is he hears you.
- 1:23:12Speaker 8: Anyway but suppose though you had an ongoing relationship with,
- 1:23:17Speaker 8: him suppose you thanked him when it was going. Right
- 1:23:23Speaker 8: but what if you thanked him in the middle of
- 1:23:26Speaker 8: when it was in a storm in your. Life what
- 1:23:29Speaker 8: if you thanked him for just strengthening you to weather the.
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: Storm what about if you thanked him realizing that you're
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: gonna get through, this just like you've gotten through everything.
- 1:23:38Speaker 8: Else why would you not remember that this too shall,
- 1:23:42Speaker 8: pass as has everything else that has. Happened if you
- 1:23:46Speaker 8: can be grateful in the midst of a, storm that's
- 1:23:49Speaker 8: the beginning of a great. Relationship because guess, what even
- 1:23:52Speaker 8: the storm gonna, Pass it don't rain, always even in
- 1:23:58Speaker 8: the rainfor, us it don't rain all the. Time every
- 1:24:04Speaker 8: now and then on the, desert something would happen other
- 1:24:06Speaker 8: than that. Heat every now and, then man summer turns to,
- 1:24:12Speaker 8: fall fall turns to, winter but winter turns to. Spring
- 1:24:17Speaker 8: because life just keeps on. Life IF i were, YOU
- 1:24:21Speaker 8: i would form a continual. RELATIONSHIP i don't want to
- 1:24:25Speaker 8: introduce myself To god every time something go. Wrong NOW
- 1:24:28Speaker 8: i got to go in there all sheepish and. Everything, now,
- 1:24:31Speaker 8: man WHEN i go To, GOD i can go To
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: god with my head up because guess What he been
- 1:24:36Speaker 8: with me through, it all the, good the, bad the,
- 1:24:39Speaker 8: ugly AND i Appreciate him for. That so, yeah get
