- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn, you to turn, turn to you love. You
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out to turn water water go, comey,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your things, got it? Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I good marrying everybody. You're listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now one and on its Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man oh Man got a radio show. Yeah, trying to
- 2:13Speaker 1: make it work too. I'm not trying. I'm I'm I'm,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm I'm getting it. I'm getting it done to the
- 2:19Speaker 1: best of my abilities. Now. Something funny my father taught me.
- 2:25Speaker 1: He says, son, when you've done all you can do,
- 2:29Speaker 1: if you've done your absolute best and you look up
- 2:34Speaker 1: and it didn't get the job done, take a deep
- 2:38Speaker 1: breath and do some more. That used to bug me, man,
- 2:44Speaker 1: when my father used to tell me that used the son,
- 2:46Speaker 1: when you've done your absolute best and you think you k'
- 2:49Speaker 1: do no more. You've done all you can and it
- 2:53Speaker 1: still don't get the job done. Take yourself a deep
- 2:57Speaker 1: breath and do some more. And you know what I
- 3:03Speaker 1: found that has worked every single time, every single time,
- 3:10Speaker 1: because what my father knew was that what you think
- 3:16Speaker 1: is your breaking point, or what you think is you're
- 3:19Speaker 1: all at all? He says, son, it's just something about it. Man.
- 3:24Speaker 1: If you just gather yourself, you got a little bit more.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Everybody got some more. And you know, I gotta be
- 3:35Speaker 1: honest with you. It has worked. It has helped me greatly.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And um, you know if everybody does have some more.
- 3:43Speaker 1: You know I tell that to my sons all the time,
- 3:45Speaker 1: that I did my best. Well, let marriage to something else.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Could you have done anything else? Could you have studied
- 3:51Speaker 1: a little harder, be could you have shown up a
- 3:54Speaker 1: little bit earlier, could you stayed a little bit later? Yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 1: well then okay that's what you should have done. Then See,
- 4:03Speaker 1: that's always a way. But if you're going to create excuses,
- 4:09Speaker 1: if you're gonna make them up all the time about
- 4:11Speaker 1: why you don't get it done, I have a very
- 4:13Speaker 1: very sad uh statement for you right now. You're never
- 4:19Speaker 1: gonna get anything done. You're never gonna get to the top,
- 4:23Speaker 1: not to the top. You can get halfway up now,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you can get a third of the way up, you
- 4:28Speaker 1: can get three quarters of the way up. But if
- 4:31Speaker 1: you don't have that little extra reserve in you, you're
- 4:34Speaker 1: not getting to the top. The top is only reserved
- 4:38Speaker 1: for those that have the wherewithal and the power to desire,
- 4:44Speaker 1: the drive and the gut wrenching effort to get to
- 4:50Speaker 1: the top. The top is reserved only for the top.
- 4:54Speaker 1: It's just the top to ain't but one top then
- 4:56Speaker 1: the middle done? It ain't it? You know, the top,
- 4:59Speaker 1: the top of mountain have where it's a different view.
- 5:02Speaker 1: At the top, things look different from up top. So
- 5:06Speaker 1: if you want to get to the top of whatever
- 5:09Speaker 1: your profession, your field, your career, whatever it is, you
- 5:16Speaker 1: got to do extra. You have to do more. More
- 5:20Speaker 1: is expected of you. More. But here's what's really crazy.
- 5:23Speaker 1: More is required of you. Don't live your life in
- 5:28Speaker 1: the lacks of daisical state. Don't wake up every day
- 5:32Speaker 1: with the feeling of, well, you know, whatever happens happens now, man,
- 5:37Speaker 1: have us say so in your life. You first of all,
- 5:41Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Who has God named the person? That?
- 5:46Speaker 1: How that God has given authority over you? Named the person?
- 5:51Speaker 1: Where is it in scripture? Where anywhere where? Show me
- 5:56Speaker 1: anywhere where it says this person has the right over you,
- 6:01Speaker 1: this person right here, this one right here. You have
- 6:06Speaker 1: to do everything they say and what they say. Only
- 6:10Speaker 1: show me that right there, Show me who they're talking about. Certainly,
- 6:16Speaker 1: certainly I have not met that person. Now. My parents
- 6:20Speaker 1: were great to me, and there was their job to
- 6:23Speaker 1: offer me lead, leadership and guidance along along the way.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But as I grew up, man, I had to go
- 6:28Speaker 1: out here and get it on you know, I had
- 6:30Speaker 1: to go out here and get it on my own.
- 6:32Speaker 1: But who is the person? Nobody has domain over you.
- 6:36Speaker 1: God didn't create that person. So what you're sitting here for? Man?
- 6:41Speaker 1: What are you sitting here for? Letting people who do
- 6:44Speaker 1: not know direct your path? A lot of us get
- 6:48Speaker 1: stopped because we we worried so much about what people
- 6:53Speaker 1: think about us. We worried too much about what people
- 6:57Speaker 1: say about us. Why are you worried about all these
- 7:02Speaker 1: people with what they got to say about you, and
- 7:05Speaker 1: all these people with what they got to think about you?
- 7:07Speaker 1: When here's the news flash. They don't know either. All
- 7:12Speaker 1: these people that you overly concerned about, all these people
- 7:17Speaker 1: that you going to these answers for, they need answers
- 7:21Speaker 1: to stop. What are you doing here? Gather yourself for
- 7:26Speaker 1: a minute. Here is a solution to all of that.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You have one source that will be there for you
- 7:35Speaker 1: till the end of time, and that is your relationship
- 7:38Speaker 1: with God. That is the one thing that's solid and
- 7:42Speaker 1: for shure. He's behind the wall. He's in your jail cell.
- 7:46Speaker 1: He rides with you in the police car. He's with
- 7:49Speaker 1: you on your job up at to school. He's doying
- 7:52Speaker 1: there in the board meetings with you. He goes with
- 7:55Speaker 1: you when you travel on planes. He sits with you
- 7:58Speaker 1: when you're in a relationship. He helps you with your
- 8:01Speaker 1: parents and skills. He helps you. He's there to assist you.
- 8:04Speaker 1: He shows if you do the right things, he shows
- 8:06Speaker 1: you and guide you to your next job. When you
- 8:09Speaker 1: lose your job and you think it's a wrap all,
- 8:12Speaker 1: there's some good behind it. Man. God is always working
- 8:15Speaker 1: on your behalf. To those that believe you, just gotta believe.
- 8:19Speaker 1: He don't ask you for nothing else. Believe in me.
- 8:22Speaker 1: That's all He asked you to do what you're tripping for. Man,
- 8:25Speaker 1: and then when you make the decision to believe in him,
- 8:29Speaker 1: and it comes out your mouth from time to time
- 8:31Speaker 1: somewhere what you're worried about, what people say, What you're
- 8:34Speaker 1: worried about, what they think? For? Why who are they?
- 8:37Speaker 1: They need God? To you? You? You? You're telling them
- 8:40Speaker 1: you found something new that you're gonna give this a
- 8:42Speaker 1: shot right here. Now. They got some yang ying yang
- 8:45Speaker 1: and some yakety yact to say about that when they
- 8:48Speaker 1: need God too. That's what amazes me, man about people
- 8:52Speaker 1: sit up in here, man, be knocking your dream and stuff. Look,
- 8:55Speaker 1: if you're an atheist, man, do your thing, do your thing.
- 8:58Speaker 1: But you can't create no laws. Why I can't do mine?
- 9:02Speaker 1: Don't make no sense. Man, That makes no sense at
- 9:05Speaker 1: all to me. You have the right to go be
- 9:08Speaker 1: whatever you wanna be. You know if you don't, you
- 9:11Speaker 1: don't like the fact that I'm in school. Look, got
- 9:13Speaker 1: my head biled down and I'm saying a prayer for
- 9:15Speaker 1: I take this test. Just don't buy your head, don't
- 9:18Speaker 1: you pray? But if some kids want to get to God,
- 9:21Speaker 1: that that's some crazy mass. That's what happened in our schools.
- 9:24Speaker 1: We took prayer out of schools. And now look at
- 9:25Speaker 1: our schools, our schools. Man, you you you, you you you?
- 9:30Speaker 1: You send your child at school and and and someone
- 9:34Speaker 1: else comes back home. That's a whole another thing right here.
- 9:40Speaker 1: That that's not what I want to talk to you about.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But I was just throwing it out because you know, hey, man,
- 9:46Speaker 1: your relationship with God is essential to your success as
- 9:49Speaker 1: a person. It's essential to your existence. It's essential to
- 9:52Speaker 1: where you're trying to go and what you're trying to be.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Because He made you. Why would you not talk to
- 9:59Speaker 1: the person made you to find out what he created
- 10:02Speaker 1: you for. I ain't talking about your parents, who made
- 10:06Speaker 1: your parents. This is God, we created in his image.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Why would you not talk to your maker to see
- 10:13Speaker 1: why you got made? That? Don't that don't make sense
- 10:17Speaker 1: to you? If you're sitting and gotten yourself in a situation.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You're sitting in the jail cell somewhere, you locked up,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you're doing some time, man, be a good time for
- 10:27Speaker 1: you to But whatever your situation is, man, God can
- 10:31Speaker 1: get you through it. He can give you the strength,
- 10:33Speaker 1: the courage to wherewithal the understanding everything. You need the
- 10:38Speaker 1: wisdom to get you through anything you're going through. You
- 10:40Speaker 1: just got a touch base with him. I need God
- 10:45Speaker 1: every single day of my life and what he's done
- 10:50Speaker 1: for me. Man off the chain. But guess what you'll
- 10:55Speaker 1: do the same thing for you. You're listening to, baby,

- 13:02Speaker 1: either cubicle or the trunk. And trunk is full. The
- 13:05Speaker 1: trunk is full. Women had their brand new shoes. And
- 13:14Speaker 1: what's up? Baby? What's up? Man? What's up? Everybody's everybody good?
- 13:22Speaker 1: Junior is real arrested. You shut it down, man, shut
- 13:25Speaker 1: it down so early last night. I told me it
- 13:28Speaker 1: was a daylight. I said, I was in the bay.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I feel good, man. I actually took a nap yesterday.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I don't take naps, but I took wing yesterday. But
- 13:39Speaker 1: you know, sometimes don't nothing set you right like a nap.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Oh my god, really nap a real nice in the
- 13:49Speaker 1: middle of the day. How about one of them nap? Yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 1: when a nap is just throwing upon you, you wasn't
- 13:58Speaker 1: really set to take a nap, and you wait up
- 14:00Speaker 1: and you've been in a like a two hour nap.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And that's a good nap, right there, Man, you have
- 14:05Speaker 1: a nap sitting straight up many back Carlin and I
- 14:18Speaker 1: very yeah, we very rarely take nap. I'll be doing it.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Put it together. Well, look who's in the late girl? Check?
- 14:27Speaker 1: The late girl is here. Hello, we clocked you in.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You good. Don't worry about the baby. We clocked you
- 14:33Speaker 1: fined for that. I'm not clocking people in. You get five?
- 14:37Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with the crew Stevens out.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Tell you know that on vacation. We will be back
- 14:43Speaker 1: with something funny at thirty two after the hour. Right
- 14:46Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Morning Show, all right,
- 14:52Speaker 1: coming up in about an hour, guys, we're going to
- 14:54Speaker 1: play are you Smarter than Nephew Tommy? You could win
- 14:57Speaker 1: a chance to win Steve's Grand prize of one million dollars.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I love it. Gotta st rv fm dot com to
- 15:10Speaker 1: register to play. And let's start the show with some
- 15:14Speaker 1: good news. I mean, we try to do that anyway,
- 15:16Speaker 1: but this is really good news. I'm sure you guys
- 15:19Speaker 1: have heard Lebron James open the I Promise School in
- 15:22Speaker 1: his hometown of Acron, Ohio yesterday. Lebron, he's still such
- 15:28Speaker 1: major things, he really is. The school is focused on
- 15:31Speaker 1: at risk third and fourth graders. It is made possible
- 15:35Speaker 1: by a partnership between the Lebron James Family Foundation and Acron,
- 15:39Speaker 1: Ohio Public Schools. There are plans to expand the program
- 15:43Speaker 1: year by year, adding second and fifth grades next year
- 15:46Speaker 1: until it's first through eighth grade program in two thousand
- 15:50Speaker 1: and twenty two. Okay, some big plans continue. Lebron says,
- 15:55Speaker 1: kids really only want one thing. Take a listen, guys,
- 15:58Speaker 1: he has just want to know if if we care
- 16:00Speaker 1: about them. That's why we're doing this today. That's where
- 16:02Speaker 1: we're going to continue to do things like this because
- 16:05Speaker 1: we want these kids over here, because we care about
- 16:08Speaker 1: their future. There you go, right, there you go. In
- 16:11Speaker 1: his own words, Lebron. Yeah, Lebron also said that President
- 16:15Speaker 1: Trump is using sports to divide us. Here it is
- 16:20Speaker 1: he's dividing us. And what I noticed over the last
- 16:23Speaker 1: few months that he's kind of used sport to kind
- 16:26Speaker 1: of divide us. And and that's something that I can't
- 16:28Speaker 1: relate to because I know that sport was the first
- 16:31Speaker 1: time I ever was around someone white, and I got
- 16:34Speaker 1: an opportunity to see them and learn about them, and
- 16:36Speaker 1: they got the opportunity to learn about me, and we
- 16:38Speaker 1: became very good friends. Teamwork, baby makes a dream work. Okay,
- 16:43Speaker 1: that's right. Wow, Yeah, I mean did you see Lebron too?
- 16:46Speaker 1: He was looking very presidential himself with the glass you
- 16:50Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. I mean, there may be a
- 16:52Speaker 1: political career in his future. You never you never know, anybody.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Don't tell me you're there, anybody anybody at this one flavor?
- 17:08Speaker 1: Flavor when you got to go that Junior, what you're doing.
- 17:20Speaker 1: What you're doing? Though, Do you guys agree with what
- 17:24Speaker 1: Lebron said about President Trump using sports to mean using
- 17:29Speaker 1: anything to divide It's not just sports. Anytime he opens
- 17:32Speaker 1: his mouth is the divide the people who are trying
- 17:34Speaker 1: to be together. That's what he's all about. Yeah, he
- 17:37Speaker 1: took the whole meal and the kneeling thing, right, yea
- 17:41Speaker 1: with the NFL, and they were staying for Yeah, he
- 17:44Speaker 1: changed it round, and I think that's what Lebron was
- 17:47Speaker 1: specifically speaking to. Uh, you know how ches Yeah, how
- 17:51Speaker 1: Trump changed the narrative. He just did. It was about
- 17:54Speaker 1: something else when Carlin Colin Kaepernick started it off, it
- 17:57Speaker 1: was about the racial divide in this country and how
- 18:01Speaker 1: police treat and and all of that, you know, and
- 18:05Speaker 1: then President Trump, Yeah, it took it too weird. Disrespecting
- 18:09Speaker 1: the country, disrespecting the flag, disrespecting our troops. No, sir,
- 18:13Speaker 1: that's not what it was about at all. It's always
- 18:15Speaker 1: a problem when it's about us, That's what it is. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: but a lot of troops are smart enough to realize
- 18:22Speaker 1: that that's not what we're doing. Yeah, and thank god
- 18:25Speaker 1: for that, you know, than with the NFL disrespect the military.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It makes no sense. But but for those who want
- 18:35Speaker 1: to hear something like that, who are you know who
- 18:37Speaker 1: have ears to hear that kind of thing, then they're
- 18:40Speaker 1: all in, you know, when the President said something like that. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 1: absolutely so I could completely agree with Lebron, you know,
- 18:49Speaker 1: and I hope he does have a future in politics
- 18:52Speaker 1: after sports. I hope he does, just like you know,
- 18:54Speaker 1: Will Smith. I think somewhere back in his mind he's
- 18:58Speaker 1: thinking about, you know, in the future. Running right now,
- 19:03Speaker 1: Okaya goes can run right. We need a little duval
- 19:14Speaker 1: Michael blessed body right now. Say we're at the women guys,
- 19:25Speaker 1: come on, very capable women out there. You ain't doing
- 19:32Speaker 1: nothing right now right now. Needs So so let's talk
- 19:39Speaker 1: about the I Promised school a little bit. What are
- 19:42Speaker 1: the kids going to get at Lebron's new school. They're
- 19:44Speaker 1: gonna be served breakfast, They're gonna be served lunch and
- 19:48Speaker 1: a snack every day. The ratio is, yeah, the ratio
- 19:51Speaker 1: is twenty students for every teacher, So smaller classrooms that way,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you know, you can get some individual attention when you
- 19:58Speaker 1: need it. Uh. They're forty three academic staffers, including a principal,
- 20:02Speaker 1: assistant principal for intervention, specialist, tutor, English as a second
- 20:07Speaker 1: language teacher, music instructor, and a gym teacher. Um. Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 1: that's really good. I'm giving you all that now. I'm
- 20:16Speaker 1: on my way to l a y. I'm on my way.
- 20:26Speaker 1: And he's been working on this for a long time.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You know, I p S is a I Promised school
- 20:31Speaker 1: is a certified STEM that is science, Technology, Engineering and
- 20:34Speaker 1: Matt's school. Check that out. The school day is long, though,
- 20:39Speaker 1: nine to five, nine to five, get your right. In
- 20:44Speaker 1: the first day of school, are going to school like
- 20:46Speaker 1: a breakfast man? Breakfast? Does it the most important meal
- 20:49Speaker 1: of the day. Yeah? And the school year runs from
- 20:52Speaker 1: July to May seventeenth. Alright, that's get your mind. H Well,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I mean, what are the kids going to do? You know?
- 21:01Speaker 1: And I didn't learn. Get in there and learn. And
- 21:03Speaker 1: I believe it's going to be a fun program for them,
- 21:06Speaker 1: you know, stuff that they're interested in, the STEM program,
- 21:09Speaker 1: things like that. So what's there something here about? You're
- 21:11Speaker 1: not paying attention down there in Lebron school. Lebron, don't
- 21:20Speaker 1: worry about I'll take care of it. I got it, Lebron,
- 21:23Speaker 1: don't worry about it. I take thank your Lebron, Thank
- 21:28Speaker 1: you so much. All right? Coming up, and is the
- 21:30Speaker 1: nephew the King of pranks would run that prank back?
- 21:33Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, entertainment news
- 21:40Speaker 1: Bow Wow in the news he's going through something right now.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Um and Beyonce, how's the first black photographer to shoot

- 23:28Speaker 1: Damon's child, and he've been sitting here sending you money
- 23:30Speaker 1: seven eight hundred dollars a month and this child ain't
- 23:33Speaker 1: even here. Now. I hate for Travis to find this out,
- 23:36Speaker 1: and he's gonna have to find it out. But where
- 23:38Speaker 1: he ain't? Why are you calling me? Look, the family
- 23:42Speaker 1: didn't had a meeting, and I'm the one that they
- 23:44Speaker 1: decided to make the phone call and tell you what's
- 23:46Speaker 1: going on. Now, don't you You you don't have a

- 24:00Speaker 1: work out. But let me why why are you doing
- 24:02Speaker 1: this to my brother? That's what I'm saying. For eight years,

- 25:07Speaker 1: all the money and my brother then set y'all. I
- 25:13Speaker 1: and when I do, Look when I said, when I

- 49:21Speaker 1: you to do with? No, no, no, no, no, no,
- 49:24Speaker 1: not in the church. You're talking about the whole they're
- 49:27Speaker 1: going to do. Uh, a wet robe contest. You said
- 49:31Speaker 1: a wet road contest. I heard a wet T shirt contest.
- 49:36Speaker 1: That's not that's not the same thing though, right, well, no,
- 49:39Speaker 1: it's a little bit different. What it is. You don't
- 49:41Speaker 1: have a T shirt on. You actually have your your
- 49:44Speaker 1: your acquire robe on, and you don't have anything underneath it.
- 49:48Speaker 1: You don't wear any clothes underneath. And what we do

- 50:11Speaker 1: T shirt contest in the church. No, I'm talking about
- 50:14Speaker 1: a wet road contest at the church. No, I'm not
- 50:17Speaker 1: there getting there and and and and be naked. It's
- 50:21Speaker 1: gonna be it's gonna be out, it's gonna be road.

- 50:33Speaker 1: uh to win five hundred dollars and two hundred and
- 50:35Speaker 1: fifty of that half of that money is gonna go
- 50:38Speaker 1: to the children's They cald on, Hold on, what do
- 50:40Speaker 1: you say your name was? Again? My name? My name
- 50:43Speaker 1: is Bryan. Right, how long you've been a member of
- 50:45Speaker 1: this church? Because I don't ever remember me? Okay, I've
- 50:50Speaker 1: been a member for about three weeks now, Like I said,
- 50:52Speaker 1: since I was a majoring in marketing. They actually threw
- 50:55Speaker 1: me into no way after three weeks that they're gonna
- 50:58Speaker 1: put you in charge of something. I don't understand. One
- 51:01Speaker 1: another problem with you trying to picture help even they're
- 51:08Speaker 1: trying to create that, and you don't want to help
- 51:11Speaker 1: me kid. I want to help the kids, but I'm
- 51:14Speaker 1: not gonna get up there and no choir road. I'm
- 51:16Speaker 1: doing my best right now not to cuss you out
- 51:18Speaker 1: because I'm a woman's gude. So you're too good to
- 51:21Speaker 1: be naked under your role? Is that what you're saying?
- 51:23Speaker 1: You're too good? Look, I don't have to exclaim myself.
- 51:27Speaker 1: But I'm not gonna be naked up to the church. Okay,
- 51:29Speaker 1: So so you couldn't do the naked roll call God,
- 51:33Speaker 1: you can't do that for the kids. I know you're
- 51:35Speaker 1: not about to tell me what I can and cannot
- 51:37Speaker 1: do for no kids. Now, I don't know who gave
- 51:39Speaker 1: me my number, but I think you need to figure
- 51:41Speaker 1: out who else to call for this because I'm not
- 51:42Speaker 1: gonna be a part of this. Were called all the
- 51:44Speaker 1: other chum members and they don't have a problem with it.
- 51:47Speaker 1: You're the old You don't call all the fire members.
- 51:50Speaker 1: What are the names? What other client members did you
- 51:52Speaker 1: call that? What were called? Were called to the Bridge
- 51:58Speaker 1: in the quad to the Bridge didn't have a problem
- 52:00Speaker 1: with it. Ain't no sister Bridge in the Quai. Okay,
- 52:05Speaker 1: how about Sister Rachel. So Sir Rachel and choir was
- 52:08Speaker 1: fine with it. Ain't no Sister Rachel. Sister Rachel wouldn't
- 52:13Speaker 1: be getting naked. Okay, Okay, okay, let me ask you
- 52:17Speaker 1: this something. Look, look, you know I don't know, but
- 52:21Speaker 1: I think do you know sister Devita in the quair? Hello? Yes,
- 52:29Speaker 1: do your little sister de Vita in the quas yes,
- 52:33Speaker 1: I know, Sister Divita. Okay, So so if such a
- 52:36Speaker 1: Devita faid that, Sister Bridge and it, Sister Rachel didn't
- 52:41Speaker 1: have a problem doing it, Why do you have a
- 52:44Speaker 1: problem doing it. I'm not about to be naked in
- 52:47Speaker 1: a church. But you're not getting naked in the church.
- 52:51Speaker 1: You're gonna be in the back part of the church
- 52:53Speaker 1: and we're gonna spray you down with a water holes
- 52:55Speaker 1: on your road. That's what We're not gonna be up there.
- 52:57Speaker 1: This is disgusting what Thomas and you would do it.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Tommy said, you didn't have no problem doing Who the
- 53:03Speaker 1: hell it's Tommy. We don't even have a Tommy at
- 53:06Speaker 1: the church. You keep making up all these maids. Tommy

- 53:39Speaker 1: phone call you. Oh my god, I'm gonna get I

- 56:05Speaker 1: fair winn alright. Subject. Cheaters never win, except in this case.
- 56:12Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, my former best friend won't speak to me.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Here's what happened. My best friend and her boyfriend have
- 56:19Speaker 1: been in an on and off relationship for twelve years.
- 56:22Speaker 1: I never really cared for this man because I know
- 56:25Speaker 1: that he has cheated on her multiple times with multiple women.
- 56:28Speaker 1: She continually takes him back and hopes that he might change.
- 56:32Speaker 1: I don't get in her business, but it breaks my
- 56:35Speaker 1: heart that she is constantly being disrespected by him. Just
- 56:38Speaker 1: last week, a tructed trusted source told me that my
- 56:42Speaker 1: best friend's man is messing with a female he works with.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I told my best friend, and she pretended that it
- 56:47Speaker 1: was no big deal. Later that same day, a group
- 56:50Speaker 1: of our girlfriends were in on our Facebook messenger group
- 56:54Speaker 1: and my best friend was also chatting with us. The
- 56:56Speaker 1: subject came up about men that cheat and women that
- 56:59Speaker 1: keep taking them back. My best friend did not make
- 57:02Speaker 1: any comment. Of course, I had a lot to say,
- 57:05Speaker 1: and I was able to do it without singling out
- 57:07Speaker 1: my best friend. Well, that didn't work. After our group chat,
- 57:12Speaker 1: my best friend UH texted me and said that she
- 57:16Speaker 1: was hurt by my comments and she felt that I
- 57:19Speaker 1: was talking directly to her. She ended the text with
- 57:22Speaker 1: a have a nice life exclamation mark. I texted her
- 57:27Speaker 1: back and asked how could she forgive a cheating man
- 57:29Speaker 1: multiple times, yet she can end our friendship over something
- 57:32Speaker 1: so trivial. I also called her to apologize and try
- 57:36Speaker 1: to work it out, but she still will not talk
- 57:38Speaker 1: to me. I feel like the cheater is one and
- 57:41Speaker 1: our relationship is over. Our friendship is over because of him.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Do you think I was wrong for being concerned about
- 57:46Speaker 1: my friend? What should I do? Well? I I take
- 57:49Speaker 1: issue with you on a couple of things that you
- 57:51Speaker 1: wrote in the letter. You said I don't get in
- 57:53Speaker 1: her business, but as soon as this so called friend
- 57:56Speaker 1: called you and told you that her man was cheating
- 58:00Speaker 1: with a girl at work, you got on the phone
- 58:02Speaker 1: and called your friend. Okay, so you are in the business.
- 58:06Speaker 1: You say you don't get in the business, but you're
- 58:08Speaker 1: all up in the business now. To answer your question,
- 58:10Speaker 1: do you think I was wrong for being concerned about
- 58:12Speaker 1: my friend? No? I don't think you were wrong about
- 58:14Speaker 1: being concerned about your friend, because guess what, that's what
- 58:17Speaker 1: friends do. That is what they do. You should care
- 58:21Speaker 1: about her because clearly her man doesn't care anything about her,
- 58:25Speaker 1: and she doesn't care about herself because she keeps taking
- 58:27Speaker 1: him back and allowing him to do that. People would
- 58:30Speaker 1: say that you are too much in the business, and
- 58:32Speaker 1: I do agree with that. But as best friends, she's
- 58:34Speaker 1: probably telling you all of her business. If not, it's
- 58:38Speaker 1: in the streets and people are talking. That's where you
- 58:40Speaker 1: got it from. Someone called you. Um, you're right about
- 58:43Speaker 1: her and allowing her, allowing the cheater to win in
- 58:46Speaker 1: this case. But my advice to you is to back
- 58:49Speaker 1: off now. Okay, you've done enough. You've tried to make amends.
- 58:53Speaker 1: It didn't work. You've told her about her cheating man.
- 58:56Speaker 1: That didn't work. Okay, you gotta back off now. Right now,
- 58:59Speaker 1: she's blaming you and not her man, and she's going
- 59:02Speaker 1: to take him back and he'll cheat again because that's
- 59:05Speaker 1: what he's been doing. That's his pattern. So you gotta
- 59:07Speaker 1: let it go. Okay. Sometimes people don't want to hear
- 59:10Speaker 1: the truth. Sometimes as a friend, you have to sit back,
- 59:13Speaker 1: say nothing and watch as your friends go through the drama,
- 59:16Speaker 1: the cheating and the lying and all of that, and
- 59:18Speaker 1: just be there for them when they need a shoulder
- 59:21Speaker 1: to cry on. Jay, Sometimes you have to ask yourself
- 59:26Speaker 1: a question, and the question is what's more important to
- 59:31Speaker 1: you having a good friend a man in your own
- 59:34Speaker 1: damn business? You have to say to yourself, which is
- 59:38Speaker 1: more valuable to me having a good friend, a man
- 59:41Speaker 1: in your own damn business. You have to say to yourself,
- 59:46Speaker 1: would I like to have somebody to go shopping with me?

- 1:00:31Speaker 1: a situation like this? But I will say this one
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: in the words of Jay. He said it that way.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: I put it this way. It don't cost a dime
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: to mind your own It cost you absolutely nothing. It's
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: another thing too, because you're super sleuth. See you all
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: on Facebook Messenger. You're trying to tell whoever will listen
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: to you about this man and this woman in their relationship.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: You all on Facebook, you have you have a trusted
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: source most most way in our super sluts, so you'll
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: know you have a trusted source. You're doing too much.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I see one problem here clearly too. You need a man.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of man, but your ass
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: need a man. Tall man, short man, curious man, knows
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: it man, black man, white man. You just need some
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: type of man and young. Because you got two much
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: free time. You need some kind of man. I don't care.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Utherly man, handsome man. Get you a man I need.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Don't matter what kind of man you get, childish man,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: grown man. Just find you somebody you can love. You
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: haven't had as much time to tell you about it,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: about this relationship. All right. That's it for me. Thank you,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. I appreciate it. Yeah, alright. Other subjectives,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: she need a man time. I don't killing your man.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: You don't know that she doesn't have a man. There's
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: nothing in here man. Always always that you don't know
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: that she doesn't have a man, because because cheaters stick together. Okay,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: that's why. That's why they don't want your girl. They
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: don't want us talking. That's all that is. Okay, it's
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: a control issue. Stop uh all right. The subject is
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: cheaters never win, except in this case, we've heard from me,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: We've heard from Jay, and we've heard from Junior. Who
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: haven't we heard from the nephew. Uh. The nephew will
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: be up with his response right after this. Uh. The
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: subject is cheaters never win, except in this case. We'll
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: be back at twenty three after the hour you're listening
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're in
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: the middle of this Strawberry letters. Subject Cheaters never win,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: except in this case. A young lady wrote this letter
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: talking about her former best friend who won't speak to
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: her now. She says, this is what happened. Her best
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: friend and her boyfriend have been in an off and
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: on relationship for about twelve years. She says she never
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: really cared for the man because he's always cheating on
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: her best friend, and her best friend always takes him
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: back no matter what um and hopes that he might change.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: The writer of the letter says that she doesn't get
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: into her business, but um, it breaks her heart to
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: see that. How you know, badly this man disrespects her.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Someone came up to her and told her that the
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: man was cheating with a woman at the job. She
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: told her best friend, and one thing led to another.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: They went on a Facebook live chat. Her best friend
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: was on there. They were talking about men who cheated
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: on women. Uh. Now, the best friend said that she
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: didn't say anything about her best friend man or anything
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: like that, but the best friend took it that way,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: and now she's not speaking to her, and she called
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: to apologize, but the best friend just told her, hey,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: have a nice life. In other words, I'm done with you.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: You're too much in my business. So that's pretty much
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: where we are about right now. We have not heard
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: from the nephew. Uh, nephew, what do you have to
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: say about this letter? Cheaters never win when except in
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: this case, as you're the last year delay all about
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: you know, Charley. Today we're going to pull this thing
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: in a different format. Cheating for love. You preach that thing.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Let's not run over that. Let's go back to that
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: when a fine tooth calm, cheating for love. You know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I want you to understand that cheating is an institution.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I'm not i'm i'm i'm i'm I'm I'm cheating for me,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: not cheating for you. You understand, h Cheating is a
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: way of life. It's a way of living. It's a
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: way of understand ending and what we have here is there?
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: She said, cheat does never win. But I beg the difference.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Donald Trump is a cheater and he has one. There
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: are cheetahs that are living on the bright side of life.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I'm not saying I am a cheetah. I'm saying that
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: cheaters are living the life. I think the problem is
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: the cheetah haters. And that's what you are. You are
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: a cheetah hater. See, you're mad because we get away
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: with the cheating. You're mad because cheetahs are living the
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: good life when you really are. Did I say something wrong? Okay,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I don't hear my congregation. No one is with me
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: this morning on cheating. There we gone. Thank you, So
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: finally the cheetah congregation has come together. Now, don't get mad.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: What what does the old thing? Don't hate the player,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: hate the game? You hate the cheating game, and now
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: you're mad at one of the players. Don't hate the player,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: hate the game. This right here, this situation has nothing
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: to do with you. Mind your damn business. That's what
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: you need to do. I think you won't, her man,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: That's what I think I want. I think you won't.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Her Man I think he likes the way he can
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: reneuver from one to another. You you hate the fact
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: that he got it going on baby or Bible, But
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: guess what, that's what Cheetah hates baby Boom. I'm just
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: saying she does have a way of making life better
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: in some people. Not not not not not me, But
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I'm just saying they're awesome. He does. Who are living
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: on the right side. I'm getting it off me. It's
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: not me. I'm just saying some cheatahs, some cheatahs. You
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: understand that. But when you you know when, when when
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: it gets good to you, Cheating can can be evolving
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: and and and and it can make your world go around.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: I've never lived in that capacity, you know. That's why
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I tell people don't call my house in the morning.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I might be cheating. You understand what I'm saying. There
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: is a way that you can bring it home. I'm
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: just saying that cheat us have a way of living
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: and you should not disrupt their way of their lifestyle.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Get out of it. You have nothing to do with it.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: You're angry and upset, and then I'm glad you lost
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: your friend. And when you get a new friend, guess
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: what Mine your damn business. You understand cheating is wrong.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: You understand that right, You understand that whole it's wrong
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: to cheat. I'm tea and you what not to do.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: You understand I'm teaching you that you understanding, and you
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: don't understand. I'm teaching you to stay out of people's business.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: It has nothing right to do. This is her best friend.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: She's concerned about her best friend. You're in the business now.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: You don't have a best friend, my best friend. I
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: mind all my damn shut up? Sometimes, yeah, get you
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: some business? Why your man? That's what you don't know
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: that she doesn't have a man. If you have a man,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: then you already have some business and you wouldn't be
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: in anybody else's business. She's concerned about her friend. Man.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: You how this man for the last twelve years has
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: cheated on her and she continually takes him back. It
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: is her business if she's her friend. So, Shirley, let
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: me ask you something. Have you had a friend? I
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: have friend was being cheated upon? Did you indulge in pause?
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: This is not about me, Okay, I'm listening to woman.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: It's not about me. Heard to policy though, this is
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: not about me. I told, I told her. I definitely
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: told her that she should you told, would you tell
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: your friend? So? I saw your man do this, I
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: saw your man do that. Would you do that? Because
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: it's not my business, but I do care about my friend.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: I may not necessarily say that, but I care about
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: my friend. The cheating doors open, won't you come? Want
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: to come? Open one? Cheating is wrong, yeah, and minding
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: your business is right if you can manage to do both. Yeah,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: there you go. Yeah, that's next week's servant. Is wrong,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: but manning your damn business is right? Is right. The
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: only reason you guys are saying that is because you're
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: with the cheetah, because he's a guy. Guys stick together.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Women should stick together as well. If it was a
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: female female cheatas Yeah, but yeah, you don't know that
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: much about it because they're so good at what they do.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Your friend, All right, listen, guys, we do have to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: go heating in the next room. So what are you saying, Carlos,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: since you're you would tell her my friend? Yeah, my friends,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: we gotta go. Alright, Email us or Instagram. What's your
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey FM dot
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: com coming up in ten minutes, comedy Roulette. Right after this,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Guess what we
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: were doing over the break talking about this strawberry letter today?
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: It was a hot one. The subject cheaters never win,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: except in this case. So guess what. We're going to
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: open it up to our audience. We want you to
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: get some of this. Okay, what do you think about cheating? Uh?
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: You know, uh, the letter my best friend wrote in
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: because her best friend was being cheated on and she
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: didn't want it anymore. She told her best friend about
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: her man cheating on her. It backfired. Uh, they're no
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: longer best friends. What would you do in this situation?
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Would you tell? Would you not tell? What would you
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: do in this situation? If you knew that your best
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: friend was cheating, being cheated on by her man, and
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: surely you said what you said, you would you would
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: stay out of it? Right? Well, I mean i'm telling
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: her that she definitely she should stay out of it.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: You should, but I mean she was She didn't stay
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: out of it. She didn't shay out of it her
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: the letter. Yeah, the person who wrote the letter, she
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: didn't stay out of it. Was too late for all
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: of that. She said she didn't get into their business,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: but she really really did. And yeah, she she really
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: really did get into their business. Me, I definitely would
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: mind my own business. But the letter is not about me.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: But I'm just saying you and Carla, let's just say
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: you saw your best friends man doing something wrong? What
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: would what do you do? Huh? Are you asking me
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: that as the best friend. As the best friend, Tommy,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: you have to be there when your friend is in trouble.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: As a best friend, you have to be there if
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: he cheats on her and she's feeling badly and she
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: needs to talk, things like that. But as an adult
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: with business in a life of your own, you gotta
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: stay out of other grown people's business. You have to.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: You absolutely have to. Now that's the real talk. Right now.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: You're asking me, Tommy, what I tell he said, both
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: of us. Go ahead, Yeah, yeah, I would tell my
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: best friend. Yes, I would my best friend, Yes, I
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: would tell her if her man was and she would
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: tell me to my best friend. So if you if
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: I'm seen out, if what if I'm seen out with
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: another woman, You're gonna tell my girl? What? Oh I'm
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: I'm not loyal. I'm not to the definitely best friend.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell your girl with me, I'm gonna tell
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: you girl, no, I'm not out of that. I'm staying
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: out of that. If I'm definitely staying out of that.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: But we want our audience to chime in and see
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: what they have to say. Steve eight seven seven Steve, Now,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: this woman is all in. She's already said everything she's
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: she had to say. She has and and and she
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: should not be at fault for caring about her best
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: friend because her best friend had to blame someone. She
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: did not blame her cheating man, so she blamed her girlfriend,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: which is what most women do. We turned on each other.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: We turned on We turned on each other because that's
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: how it happens of the time. The women. Women turn
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: on each other, they do, and men stick together. They
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: absolutely absolutely, But she should not be faulted because she
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: cares about her best friend. We're not faulting her. Are
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you think she's that fault for telling her? You? Do
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: you think she's that fault for her? Yeah? I have
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: empathy for her because she cares about her best friend.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: She does. I think you just say this as as
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: as a best friend as your girl, your ride, a
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: dark girl, you for me, that type of friend that
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: I am. I am going to give her heads up
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: about it. And it may hurt her, It may take
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: her down in the same if she saw mine it
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: would take me down. But she's gonna be there for me,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be there for her to help her
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: pick herself back up. But but you know what, Carla,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: You know what, Carla, that's going to take Listen, listen,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: that's gonna take some time because she she is going
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: to be mad at you. She's going to lash out
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: at you. She's going to be mad at you. And
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: if you guys are truly best friends, truly best friends,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: it'll work out in the end. You have to be
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: her best friend through it all. But she's gonna be mad.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: She's gonna be mad at you. Let's go to line three.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Let's let's go to line three and tuck to Gail. Gail, Gail,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: good morning, everybody. No, I wouldn't sail because they don't
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: want to know. You're gonna be the enemy because she
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: don't want to know. Thank you, thank you, Gail. Well,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: she it's not that she doesn't want to know. She
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: already knows. She already knows. I mean, we have intuition,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: you know, she she she already knows for her to
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: even other people been. Let's let's go to line Thank you, Gail.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Let's go to line four and talk to Chavon. Yes,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: good morning, what's up Chavon? Talk to us baby. Do
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: you tell or not tell? If it was my best friend,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: I would tell because I would be hurt if my
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: best friend did not tell me, I would be I
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: would be hurt if they didn't tell me. So I
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: would tell. See that this is one of those situations
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: where either way it goes, it blows up in your face.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Why didn't you tell me a man? And why did
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: you tell me? I'm man? But more often than not
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: it why did you tell me? It's more often she's
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: going to be mad at you because you told. That's
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: just how that's just human nature. Line five, let's go
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: to Jonathan. Jonathan, good morning. I'm doing well. I'll be honest,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: I think i'd have to mind my business. Even then
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: with my best friends, I would think that they would
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: be state goes along them along the way, that the
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: person would have some type of intuition, and I think
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: eventually there will be things that may come out in
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: the wash that would make sense. And if you connect
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: the dots, I would just as as the best friend say,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: out of their business, and then you'll be there for
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: their support if they ever to me for you know,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: a conversation, et cetera, or advice. Okay, very good, all right, Uh,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: this letter is smart. Yeah, more, we can take more calls.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: That's cool. Eight seven seven latest, we'll be back the
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: subject of the letters. Cheaters never win, except in this
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: case a long version of the Strawberry letter. We'll have
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: more calls right after this. You're listening to the show.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: WHOA Okay, this Strawberry letter has prompted a lot this
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: morning here it's about cheating, uh and base sickally. It
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: turned into a discussion off air discussion and on their
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: air discussion with our our our audience as well. By
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: the way, if you want to get in on the discussion.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, let's just let me
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: throw that out there right now. But we're talking about cheating.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: And if you found out that your best friend's husband, man,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: whatever the situation was, cheating, would you tell as a
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: best friend and that could work both ways. If you
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: were the woman cheating, would you tell? And and if
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you're if you've been through this, call us if something's
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: happened to you like this, someone's told on you or
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: you told calls to eight seven seven, I'm not telling
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: line six. Let's go to Brittany. Brittany, how good morning.

- 1:19:15Speaker 1: ever told him something? Yuys I? I definitely have. Um. Um,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: she didn't talk to me, I guess because you know,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: whatever they was going through, she didn't really talk to me.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Liked and she came back around. She actually ended up
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: divorcing him. Oh, she came back around and ended up
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: divorcing him. But she was managed for about a week.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: You said, huh she was. I wanted to say she
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: was like mad at me. She was just I guess
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: she was just going through. You know, she was going
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: to wem because the right together he's married, so you know,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: put me to call and put me to be on
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: the phone and Hunter and he began backing on whatever
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the cases. It seemed kind of you know, damn bag,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: because she tell how about this? Just stating how about this,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: brit that's not You're married. So would you want her
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: to tell you as well? Brittany? Obviously you would. Yeah,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: obviously you would, Brittany. You'd be going through your man phone,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: don't Yes, Yeah, all right, Brittany, thank you. I have
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: a great tape, Brittany. Al right, Line one, let's go
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: to otis, otis big, what's up? What's up? Man? Talk
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: to me? Otis? Do you tell and not tell? Man?
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Don't tell? Mand GDP things guessing you don't know what's
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: going on the other part of me. Help us help
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: this person meet someone out there. He's hanging with it,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: maybe a family member. Just mind your fingers. They want
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: to talk to you about it that I'm talking to
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: you about it. Thank you appreciate. Men are pretty predictable
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: in this situation, though, so I'm making it based on
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: what are based on my experience, my life. Whatever. You
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: guys all say the same thing. Let's go line okay, man,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: gosh darn. Let's go to line three and talk to
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Vicky Vicky, good morning, Hi, good morning. I kind of
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: agree with both of the previous callers about telling it
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: not telling, but you want to be truthful. We got
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: to evaluate our friends. We know who our friends are,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: and if you're their first the best friends, you know
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: that weak just in their strength and God himself can
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: come and tell this person something's going on, or this
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: man or woman's thing around with a mama daddy and
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: they're still got to stick with him. So the reality
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: of it is is evaluate your friends and you know,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: trying how their friendship work. Didn't you tell or you
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: don't see? But it's better sometimes, you know, lay on
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: the caution of man and business because people are going
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: to do what they're gonna do. Yeah, mine your g
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: D business and other words. We understand. Oh just said
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: it best. Yeah, all right, thank you, thank you so much, Vickie.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Let's go to line too and talk to a Candy. Candy. Hello, Hello,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: sound so sweet, good morning. Thank you. She's a teller. Absolutely, yeah, Dandy,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: have you been in this situation before? I've been on
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: both ends. They're telling in and receiving. Don't let us
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: know what happened? Candy. Well, on the telling, it was
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: My best friend and my cousin were very, very close,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: and her man had the nerve to bring his bad
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: teeth car up to my man's car shot to get
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: the well. He called and told he was stupid and
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: told me told you. Yeah, my man called and told me.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: So I called my cousin at work, and she got
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: off for work and went up there and waited until
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: he came to pick the car up with the girl. See,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: get no business. I'm not bringing my car and you
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: never take one. I wasn't gonna. So she ended up
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: putting them now, but she was happy. She was grateful
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: to me for telling her, because he was standing with
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: both of them. If you tell you got to fix
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: your climb, fixed the car's got to be a friend.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: I wasn't even know what about What about when you
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: got the call that your man was cheating? Oh? Well,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: I paid him back and then I dumped him. Yeah no, no, no,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: that wasn't him. This was a different one. This was
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: before him. But yeah, I paid him back and didn't
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: I dumped him. Okay, that was good, that was good. Yeah,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: that was good. You should have. Yeah she should have
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: dumped him. I'm back. I wouldn't ready all right, let's continue.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: The phones are hot eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, if you cut your
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: your best friends significant other cheating, would you tell or
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: wouldn't you? Or have you been in this situation yourself?
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Your phone calls right
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, alright, Uh,
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: this topic we're talking about today is hot. Okay, it's
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: about cheating. Uh. It stems from the strawberry letter we
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: had today. The subject was cheaters never went except in
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: this case. A young lady wrote in because she saw
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: her best friends man cheat on her several times throughout
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: their twelve year relationship. She told her best friend about
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: his cheating. Her best friend got mad at her and
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: hasn't spoken to her and quite some time. So she
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: wants to know is she wrong for telling? She wants
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: to know is she wrong for telling? So our question
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: to you, our audience is should she have told? Would
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: you tell? Have you been in a situation like that?
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: What would you do? Let's go to the phone eight
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine, Steve, Let's talk to Mike online
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: seven Cat what so Mike, Hey, hey, hey, now, good morning,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: good morning man. What would you do, Mike, would you
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: tell or not tell? I would definitely tell, but the
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: fact that if it was she was on the other foot,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: I would expect my best friend to tell me if
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: he saw my wife or anybody else that I was
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: with the cheating. So I would definitely tell. Thank you, Mike.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: Uh No, I don't play games with it come to cheating.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Cheating is not one of my things. I would never
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: go down that road. The person I'm with, it's the
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: person i'm with. Well, Mike, that's good. That's very mature
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: of you. I love that. Yeah, stop cheating, Stop cheating. Yes,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: And for colleague to thing about the cell phone, I
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: get a kick out of it, not letting people in.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: I don't play that game either. My wife's has all
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: my passwords. I hold nothing back from my wife every year.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: That's good. That's good. Mike. Keep that truck, keep that
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Mike phones. He's a good man because he's not a cheater.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: That's why they're heading out. Yeah, business, Mike man, you
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: damn big and make that what you need to do.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: The award for super Citizen goes to Mike Let's go
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: to line three. Talk to Madalene Melanie, good morning, No Melanie,
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: sorry Melanie, Melanie, Melanie, good morning, good morning. What do
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: you think Melanie would just I'm good baby? Would you
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: say something and not say so? As a man said,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: now your own business. First of all, I'm gonna speak
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: and let him know. I send him that. Don't go hello,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: how y'all doing and walk off its. No, he's gonna
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: tell on him stuff. That's right, because it's gonna dig
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: on always from the light. Yeah. And if he's doing it,
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: you know he's doing it denial, that's right. I like
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: a Mary. Yeah, yeah, thank you, Melanie. Line for let's
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: go to Robin. Robin, Hi, how are you doing there?
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: Real quick? Baby? We got thirty seconds? Tell us? Would
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: you tell and not tell? I would not tell, and
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: I grew with Melanie. He would tell on himself. I
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: would let him know that I saw him, and he'd
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: make up something. Yeah, right, Robin, stop cheating? How about that?
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: I think, I say, what have we learned today? Stop cheating?
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: It's not going to stop. We'll have more of the
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well Um. The first episode
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: of the six part docum doc you series rest in
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: Power The Trayvon Martin Story, aired last night. It was
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: based on to Brina Fulton and Tracy Martin's memoir rest
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: in Power The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin. The series
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: examines their son, Trayvon Martin's life, his legacy, and the
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: events that followed his untimely death. Take a listen as
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: one of the film's producers and Trayvon's parents, Uh talks
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: about the importance of making this documentary just a story,
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: but for us, this our life. It was important for
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: us to do a documentary that would make America sort
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: of face itself. You know, sometimes when you look into
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: the mirror, you can see the flaws. I know, it's
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: a bigger picture. Is not just about Trayvon Martin, It's
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: about all the other Trayvon Martin is. His legacy can
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: potentially be the healing because the incident revealed everything that
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: was there already. In the best case scenario, his legacy
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: will be to heal this country. I absolutely know that
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: I can't save trayvonn but there are other children that
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: we can save, and we just have to do our part.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: We just have to do what we can to try
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: to make a difference. And if I continues. Wow, Um,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: a Florida jury. Yeah, really powerful of a Florida jury.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: If you guys remember back on July thirteen, two thirteen,
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: acquitted Neighborhood Watch volunteer George Zimmerman on fatally shooting Trayvon Martin,
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: a hoodie wearing, unarmed black teenager, during an angry confrontation
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: in a gated community on a rainy night. Just over
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: five years later, the residents from that tragedy has become
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: deeper and even more painful. The case rocked and divided
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: the nation, touching off a prickly debate over race, over gun,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: so called standard ground laws, and self defense. Then President
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: Obama said on TV that he had a son hat
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: looked like Trayvon. Thousands of protesters flooded the streets after
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: the verdict to quitting Zimmerman of second degree murder, announced
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: after sixteen hours of deliberation over the course of just
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: two days. Wow. Yeah, today and it has Yeah, it's
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: it's continued, you know, and and the officers keep getting acquitted,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: and um, it looks like there's going to be no
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: end as I'm afraid that the country is becoming desensitized.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: I hope that never happens, but yeah, you know, commune
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: to it and didn't. Weren't we discussing this off air?
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: Someone said that, um, maybe it was your carleg George
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: Zimmerman has threatened jay Z or something because jay Z
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: was one of the producers while they were doing research
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: in the Florida area for the documentary. They were saying
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: that George Zimmerman was trying to threaten threaten jay Z
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: and some of the producers doing research on the story.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: And you know, we we even talked about that on
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: the air and Steve even you know, wrong one. You know,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: you're trying to threaten jay Z and a jay Z.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: But it's just horrible. George Zimmerman has been in trouble
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: ever since he's been appointed, and he has no remorse
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: for killing Trayvon Martin. He was not a police officer.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: He was just a regular sent neighborhood watch volunteer. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: he killed us. But I also heard the serious news
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: on Armed Yeah that Tracy Martin, Trayvon's father, hopes that
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: people who watch rest in power or the Trayvon Martin story,
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: will be outraged by the violence that you know we
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: just talked about in the country, and will vote in
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: November in that yeah, yeah, take actions on all these
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: social injustices that are occurring in the country. A lot
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: of times you don't know what you can do. You
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: ask about what can you do? The one thing that
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: you can do that we have the power to do,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: and that is vote. We'll be back to close out
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: the show right after this. You're listening to the Steve Show,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Don't Don't forget Tomorrow at seven twenty eastern six Central,

- 1:33:18Speaker 1: given sixty seconds to correctly answer our trivia questions. If
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: you are smarter than if you Tommy, you will win
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: a one hundred dollar cash gift card, plus you'll be
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: giving the chance to win the grand prize of one
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: million dollars. That's right, I said it, one million dollars. Okay,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: you can't play unless you register at Steve Harvey FM
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: dot com. Yes, Tommy, what was the number thirteen? When
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: a number thirteen? Yeah, trisca decaphobia. I think it's the
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: name of that crackers. Yeah, fear of the number thirteen. Yeah,
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: you you missed that and uh and Levan missed it
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: as well, and it was a time time. Yeah, that
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: was a tough one. Yeah, you can be scared of
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: the number thirteen. Yeah, yeah, like some buildings don't have
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: floor thirteen, you know some Yeah, you go from twel
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: fourteen in fourteen. Well, if they don't, I'm not afraid
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: of it. It's a it's a Jedi mind trick, you know. Yeah,
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: anything you name is somebody that's afraid of it. And
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: when we did a bit about clowns, people afraid of
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: clown I have Yeah, I have a friend that's afraid
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: of Oh, yeah, for sure. Yeah, I love the number
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: thirteen and had a funny about clouds being afraid of
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: a clowns. We never got to feel it, man, We
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: got the Yeah, you know a prince didn't like clowns,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: didn't did not like clowns. I didn't about how did
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: he sound when he saw clowns wows like clowns that. Well,
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: you guys, it's um I hate to say it. Time
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: to go home. Yeah, get out of here. So you
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: guys gonna leave us with some closing removes something more,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: something mean, meaningful, because we we got to figure out
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: what have we learned today? Well, you know it started
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: out we've been the big thing today, get it out
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: that good money. The big thing today was cheatings. We
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: had phone calls on if you caught you, if you
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: saw your your best friends, significant other cheating, what would
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: you do? Would you tell it? Would you not tell?
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: But I think in in in lieu of that, I
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: think we want to talk to terrible cheaters today, you know,
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: those don't know how to cheat, those that don't have
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: the cheating game together, because it's so important. Yes it is.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: You have to be cheat talk. You have to be
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: cheat talk, you know, taught. Yes, and there's a lot
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: of people out there that don't know how to cheat,
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: and and and the world of cheating. You have to
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: get it. You're gonna do this about what they're doing.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: They're not aware of what they're doing. To get into this.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: The first rule is lie to the end. Don't ever
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: let somebody break you down and you start. Lie to
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: the lie if the person is laying next to you,
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: lie to the number two. No one should ever be
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: able to get in your cell phone. No one tape
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: your fingers up at night so they don't try to
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: take your finger and put it across that phone. Number three.
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: I got number three. Number three. Go ahead. The movie
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: you would like to see is out fifty miles away
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: from where you live. You don't have to go to
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: a movie close to your house. You need gas. Rule
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: number four. Always have dinner across state line. State. Yes,
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: if you live in get the Arkansas, you can do this. Yeah,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: across state life. It don't matter. But that means by
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: the time you get there, you'll be really good, good, good,
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: good and cheatable stupid. It's it's things you need to know. Sure, Okay,
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: if you fall asleep and wake up and it is
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: daylight coming through the way, Yeah, okay, you have cheated
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: too long, take your take your car on the way
