- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah, listening to.

- 0:50Speaker 5: Yell joy.
- 0:59Speaker 3: You you.
- 1:24Speaker 5: You gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 6: I can't.
- 1:41Speaker 1: To turn the mouth. Turn you probably got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: the mouth the word of the money.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come out you think that, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 4: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 4: radio show, Yeah, I got one. I got a message
- 2:15Speaker 4: for you today too, something I was thinking about that
- 2:19Speaker 4: might help you along the way. The thing I appreciate
- 2:22Speaker 4: about so many people that I learned from Bishop Jakes,
- 2:26Speaker 4: Kenneth Olmer, Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin, Joel Oldstein, I can't tell.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You, and many more than that.
- 2:34Speaker 4: I mean, you know I'm naming you know, famous people
- 2:39Speaker 4: because I know you know these names. But my father,
- 2:43Speaker 4: who you never met, was so great in my development
- 2:48Speaker 4: as a man. But my mother thought have mercy. My
- 2:51Speaker 4: mother she taught me about faith. She gave me the
- 2:55Speaker 4: things I needed to know about. What I speak about
- 2:59Speaker 4: every day basis was given to me by hers. So
- 3:02Speaker 4: it's so many great people. But here's the thing that
- 3:05Speaker 4: I've had to learn, and that is that if God
- 3:08Speaker 4: got you through it.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It's done. Move on.
- 3:13Speaker 4: See, I can't tell you how many people don't really
- 3:16Speaker 4: pay attention to that close enough.
- 3:19Speaker 1: If God got you through it, it's done.
- 3:23Speaker 7: Move on.
- 3:25Speaker 4: How many times have we as people allowed God to
- 3:30Speaker 4: get us through something, get us beyond something, get us
- 3:34Speaker 4: over something, get us through something, and then even after
- 3:38Speaker 4: its completion, we sit there and we dwell on it,
- 3:42Speaker 4: and we dwell on it to the point where it
- 3:45Speaker 4: becomes an anchor around our neck, and we can't move on.
- 3:49Speaker 4: We can't move on because we just won't let it go.
- 3:55Speaker 4: It's done. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Move on.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Stop harboring on the past.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Stop hanging on to every time you fail, Stop hanging
- 4:08Speaker 4: on to every time you slipped up and messed up.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Stop hanging on to every time you didn't get it right.
- 4:14Speaker 4: So what everybody makes mistakes, Everybody messes up, Everybody don't
- 4:20Speaker 4: get it right.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Everybody's struggling with something. You ain't the only one, but
- 4:29Speaker 1: my God, Man, if God got you through it, it's done.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Move on. You hanging on to it for it.
- 4:36Speaker 4: That's why he got it, got you through it, so
- 4:39Speaker 4: you can move on from it. See a lot of
- 4:42Speaker 4: things that happened to us that we think are negative
- 4:46Speaker 4: or bad experience. These are lessons and what not to do.
- 4:51Speaker 4: This is a way to have on now a bearing on.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Look out for it.
- 4:55Speaker 1: The next time.
- 4:56Speaker 4: You got me once, you can't get me again. I'm
- 5:00Speaker 4: telling you, man, if God got you through it, it's done.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Move on.
- 5:06Speaker 8: You have got to move on.
- 5:08Speaker 4: I use this analogy all the time. I'm gonna add
- 5:11Speaker 4: a little bit to it. Bishop Jakes told me you
- 5:16Speaker 4: cannot drive your car looking in the rear view mirror.
- 5:22Speaker 4: See you know what your rearview mirror is actually for
- 5:24Speaker 4: in your car. Your rearview mirror is designed. After I
- 5:30Speaker 4: pass a car and I want to merge into that lane,
- 5:35Speaker 4: or I want to make another move, I look up
- 5:38Speaker 4: in the rear view mirror, and all I use it
- 5:42Speaker 4: for it shows me that I've gotten past it. I've
- 5:46Speaker 4: gotten past the vehicle I was passing, and I got
- 5:49Speaker 4: enough room now clear to make my next move.
- 5:53Speaker 1: That's what I use my rearview mirror for.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I use my rear view mirror to just glance up
- 5:59Speaker 4: every now and then to see what's coming up on me.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's all I use it for. Listen to me real close.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Now, your rearview mirror on your car is after you
- 6:10Speaker 4: passing something or you're passing by something, you can look
- 6:15Speaker 4: up in the rear view mirror and it lets you
- 6:17Speaker 4: know you're pasted it, you're beyond it. It's clear now,
- 6:22Speaker 4: it's in the past. You no longer have to deal
- 6:25Speaker 4: with it as the car that was in front of
- 6:28Speaker 4: you blocking your way.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You have passed it. You look up in the mirror,
- 6:32Speaker 1: you've cleared it.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Now if you on a switch lanes could slide on over,
- 6:39Speaker 4: you got room. But that rearview mirror also lets you
- 6:42Speaker 4: see if anything is coming up on you, and you
- 6:45Speaker 4: just need to glance because if you moving forward, ain't
- 6:49Speaker 4: a whole lot can come up on you. You just
- 6:51Speaker 4: glancing every now and then, and it reminds you that
- 6:54Speaker 4: you got through something and you got beyond something. That's
- 6:57Speaker 4: what the rearview mirror for. Now, let's talk about that windshield.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Why you think that windshields so big on your car.
- 7:07Speaker 4: That's the biggest window on your car. You know why
- 7:11Speaker 4: the wind shield so big because it's where you're going.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Because even the automobile makers want you to have a
- 7:20Speaker 4: wide view of where you're going so you can see
- 7:23Speaker 4: what's up ahead. They put lights on the card night
- 7:27Speaker 4: so you can have night vision and see what's up ahead.
- 7:30Speaker 4: But you can uh oh man, oh see not why
- 7:34Speaker 4: is that look? Think about that now before I move
- 7:36Speaker 4: forward with this one. Think about that wind shield, man,
- 7:40Speaker 4: Why is that wind shield so big so you can
- 7:42Speaker 4: see where you're going? It's way more important where you're
- 7:46Speaker 4: going than where you being, don't you see that. That's
- 7:51Speaker 4: why the rear view mirror is so small, because it
- 7:53Speaker 4: is nowhere near as important as it is as to
- 7:56Speaker 4: where you're going. While you being just allows you to
- 8:00Speaker 4: take a glance so you can make sure you clear it,
- 8:02Speaker 4: so you can see if it's room enough for you
- 8:04Speaker 4: to make your next move, so you can know that
- 8:06Speaker 4: you've gone through it and go ahead on about your business.
- 8:09Speaker 4: But that windshield, that windshield is for vision. A man
- 8:14Speaker 4: without a dream of vision shall perish. That windshield is
- 8:17Speaker 4: for somebody going somewhere. That windshielding for somebody else there
- 8:21Speaker 4: trying to make another move. I'm gonna go right, I'm
- 8:24Speaker 4: gonna left. I'm gonna get off on this exit. I'm
- 8:26Speaker 4: gonna take this detail. I'm gonna handle this sign. There's
- 8:28Speaker 4: a new route. There's only so many miles left to go.
- 8:32Speaker 4: That's what the windshield got. Let me tell you something, man,
- 8:35Speaker 4: when you see a mile sign, you're driving on the freeway,
- 8:37Speaker 4: you're on the interstate, and you let's say you driving
- 8:40Speaker 4: to a particular city and you see a sign that
- 8:42Speaker 4: says that city is thirty eight or one hundred and
- 8:45Speaker 4: thirty eight miles away. That lets you know where you're going,
- 8:49Speaker 4: and you're on the right path. Now, if you keep
- 8:52Speaker 4: looking in the rear view mirror, you'll never know how
- 8:55Speaker 4: close you are. You'll never know because you're driving your
- 9:01Speaker 4: car looking in the rear view mirror. You all on
- 9:03Speaker 4: the shoulder, you hit them, rocks up under your car.
- 9:05Speaker 4: You just scared yourself to death because you know why,
- 9:08Speaker 4: because you keep looking in the rear view mirror.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Get out the rear view mirror. If God got you
- 9:14Speaker 1: through it, it's done.
- 9:15Speaker 9: Move on.
- 9:16Speaker 4: So what he don't love you no more? And man,
- 9:21Speaker 4: let's move on. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Move on.
- 9:26Speaker 4: God got something for you. If you get out your
- 9:28Speaker 4: rearview mirror and get up in that wind shield. God's
- 9:31Speaker 4: got something for you up ahead, but you can't see
- 9:34Speaker 4: what's up ahead because you in that rearview mirror.
- 9:37Speaker 1: If God got you through it, it's done. Let's move on.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Come on, y'all, don't let the pass beat you up.
- 9:44Speaker 4: That's the ingredients in the cake. You done made that already,
- 9:48Speaker 4: that's done. Let's go God, look in the windshield, see what.
- 9:51Speaker 4: God probably got something new for you if you get
- 9:53Speaker 4: out the rear view mirror and look, open up your
- 9:55Speaker 4: eyes and see.
- 9:56Speaker 1: All right, let's go Today.

- 17:09Speaker 14: I'm talking to my lady, Okay, you understand that. Why

- 17:58Speaker 14: my heart. You try to sit up there in front

- 27:29Speaker 4: If it's on one man's mind, how the hell it
- 27:32Speaker 4: ain't cross the other man's mind. Now, you dude, that

- 28:02Speaker 1: Let me ask you.
- 28:03Speaker 4: So you think if you're sitting up in there watching TV,
- 28:06Speaker 4: you gotta negli shall You don't? You don't think when
- 28:10Speaker 4: he come in and try to sit down and watch

- 28:34Speaker 4: he don't keep it in the room though, I'm gonna
- 28:37Speaker 4: tell you keep it in the bathrooms, smelling your washcloth,
- 28:41Speaker 4: all kinds of stuff. I'm just telling you, hold on,
- 28:50Speaker 4: hold on. You don't know how many times you came
- 28:52Speaker 4: home he had food featured you too. How many times
- 28:55Speaker 4: he done came in and brought you something to jesse
- 28:59Speaker 4: chessy case. How many times has he tried to give
- 29:02Speaker 4: you a live demonstration of the type of man he is.
- 29:06Speaker 4: I bet he fixing up around the house, taking off.
- 29:09Speaker 4: You ain't took out the trash since she's been necessary.
- 29:12Speaker 1: It's gonna happen sooner or later.
- 29:16Speaker 8: Beverly, when when rent do and it's the fifteenth he no.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Damn where unnecessary question?
- 29:21Speaker 8: He trying to get here?
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 29:24Speaker 4: So now, why are men so insecure? Because we know
- 29:28Speaker 4: how men are? We are all a certain way. That's
- 29:32Speaker 4: what makes us me.
- 29:34Speaker 10: It's just that you know men because you're a man.
- 29:36Speaker 10: All right, thank you, Celo.

- 30:25Speaker 4: hands together for the one and only Jay found.
- 30:33Speaker 13: Man. What's happening.
- 30:34Speaker 15: What's happening. Blessings in the morning, Blessings in the morning. Blessing,
- 30:38Speaker 15: that's all I gotta say.
- 30:39Speaker 3: A lot of blessings, a lot of blessings at first
- 30:42Speaker 3: time on the show.
- 30:43Speaker 15: Man, Yeah, I know, that's that's that's surprising because we
- 30:46Speaker 15: got and I know.
- 30:47Speaker 13: I know, uh we didn't. I know you you always
- 30:50Speaker 13: you always showed me love put my clips up.
- 30:52Speaker 1: So got that.
- 30:53Speaker 13: It's about it.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Yeah, we always chop it up. I see him everywhere.
- 30:57Speaker 4: We always talked me and him his system. You know,
- 31:00Speaker 4: we had a great relationship.
- 31:01Speaker 13: Man.
- 31:01Speaker 1: We stay in touch with each other. Man, get each other,
- 31:04Speaker 1: help advite prayer, prayer, absolutely, a lot of prayer. Lowly
- 31:08Speaker 1: everybody be prayer, everybody.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Hey, man, let's talk about this new project you got,
- 31:14Speaker 4: because since you left Saturday Night Live, man, you've been
- 31:16Speaker 4: gv You've been doing movies. That is new Lionsgate horror
- 31:19Speaker 4: comedy movie is called The Blackening and in the movie,
- 31:24Speaker 4: a group of black friends went on the Juneteenth weekend
- 31:28Speaker 4: getaway and got trapped in a cabin with a killer
- 31:33Speaker 4: and they forced to play a game called the Blackening
- 31:36Speaker 4: to survive.
- 31:37Speaker 1: So tell us more about the movie and your character, Shank.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Oh, well, you know, Sean is uh with a movie
- 31:44Speaker 3: like you're saying it is? That is what it is
- 31:47Speaker 3: that you got the group of friends that go out
- 31:49Speaker 3: in there, they're in this cabin in the woods. Totally uh,
- 31:53Speaker 3: totally regular for black people to be in the cabin
- 31:56Speaker 3: in the woods, right, totally regular for us could be
- 31:58Speaker 3: in the woods. And then you know they find out
- 32:02Speaker 3: that they're you know, they're in a fight for their life.
- 32:05Speaker 3: They're in a fight for the life, and they're all
- 32:06Speaker 3: just trying to survive and get out without dying. And
- 32:08Speaker 3: you know, the tagline for the movie is, you know
- 32:11Speaker 3: you can't. You can't kill us first, you can't kill
- 32:14Speaker 3: us all first, and so you can't. And uh, Sean,
- 32:18Speaker 3: Sean is a bit my character is a bit open zealous,
- 32:21Speaker 3: you know what I mean, he's a bit too adventurous.
- 32:24Speaker 3: I would like to say, I'm not like that in
- 32:26Speaker 3: real life. I just as soon as I hear now
- 32:29Speaker 3: squeak or something, I'm like, look, we ain't going there.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Let let's turn around here, we gotta we gotta, we
- 32:34Speaker 3: gotta go to another state.
- 32:35Speaker 13: I don't know.
- 32:36Speaker 14: We heard that.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we heard Sean is in the movie acting white.
- 32:44Speaker 15: There you go, acting super Caucasian.
- 32:46Speaker 1: That's exactly what curious?
- 32:49Speaker 2: What is that?
- 32:50Speaker 3: Let's cause with the cave Yes, yes, super.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Hey bro, you got all black cast. Now we know
- 33:01Speaker 4: that black people are the first to die in the movie.
- 33:04Speaker 4: So the whole first about trying to stay alive. So
- 33:08Speaker 4: in order to stay alive, everybody got to prove they
- 33:10Speaker 4: prove they blackness to the killer, So how does this
- 33:14Speaker 4: all play out in the movie?
- 33:15Speaker 1: Though, Man, can you give us any clue? We can see.
- 33:21Speaker 15: I can't give you too much.
- 33:22Speaker 3: I can't give you too much.
- 33:23Speaker 15: Because I'm like man without giving without giving too much away.
- 33:28Speaker 14: I can't give you too much without giving you too
- 33:30Speaker 14: much away.
- 33:30Speaker 3: But what I can say is it is an innovative
- 33:34Speaker 3: I could say it's an innovative idea that's never been
- 33:37Speaker 3: never been done before. And then you you know, black
- 33:40Speaker 3: people in this film, you know, we're we're shown from
- 33:42Speaker 3: different different aspects. You know, we're not monoliths. So there's
- 33:47Speaker 3: there's all different types of black people from from every
- 33:49Speaker 3: from everywhere that that story that stories haven't been told
- 33:54Speaker 3: like they need to be told. So I think this
- 33:56Speaker 3: is this movie is like a good corraling.
- 33:58Speaker 13: Of that ja.
- 34:00Speaker 1: It is so funny.
- 34:01Speaker 16: So y'all in the cabin, y'all playing spades. It is
- 34:05Speaker 16: so funny how you all have to prove who is
- 34:09Speaker 16: the blankets. It's just interesting. You cannot predict what's gonna happen.
- 34:15Speaker 16: That's what I thought about this movie. It's very, very
- 34:17Speaker 16: funny from what I've seen so far.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just like I'm saying innovative, and it's it's
- 34:22Speaker 3: never this has never been done before, and I believe
- 34:25Speaker 3: it's gonna set the precedent for like a lot of
- 34:27Speaker 3: black horror or black comedy.
- 34:30Speaker 15: Comedy horrors in general coming out. But for us to
- 34:33Speaker 15: be able to shine like this in all black caves,
- 34:36Speaker 15: Like it's just you know, it's just something, it's something
- 34:39Speaker 15: beautiful to be a part of. And you know, the
- 34:43Speaker 15: younger people that are looking at us, they're like, you know,
- 34:45Speaker 15: I can do that too, And that's and that is
- 34:47Speaker 15: the biggest message, you know that we can our voices
- 34:52Speaker 15: can be heard, and our voices need to be heard
- 34:55Speaker 15: and they will be heard.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Hey, y'all listen, Uh this just sounds it's like for

- 35:54Speaker 3: kind of like being in the metaverse, I would compare
- 35:57Speaker 3: it to. But everybody is gonna have a good well Steve,

- 37:33Speaker 12: out show at the MGM Grand Arena. We remember it well.
- 37:37Speaker 12: We ask you this all the time, but honestly, would
- 37:40Speaker 12: you consider going back on stage just one more time?
- 37:44Speaker 10: I mean, you got to miss some things about it,
- 37:46Speaker 10: like the audience being back.
- 37:49Speaker 1: On stage getting to last.
- 37:52Speaker 4: I don't miss preparation and I don't miss the three
- 37:55Speaker 4: hours before showtime because it's just good.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Man, come out here, come on.
- 38:02Speaker 4: But the only way I could do it is if
- 38:06Speaker 4: I knew, if I knew, I was fitting to walk
- 38:09Speaker 4: away from TV because I'm gonna be off TV right
- 38:14Speaker 4: after the special.
- 38:15Speaker 10: Man, you're gonna just say what you want to say that.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Why can't you control what you're going you can keep? Well,
- 38:25Speaker 1: think about the great specials you've seen.
- 38:28Speaker 4: When you see that white boy Bill Burn, you see
- 38:30Speaker 4: the sheer greatness man, Well, he can't hand on TV.
- 38:35Speaker 4: When you look at Dave Chappelle, you see sheer greatness.
- 38:39Speaker 4: You can't hand on TV.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Show specially now.
- 38:43Speaker 4: Selective Outrage by Chris Rock was a great comedy special.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, but he was. He was right on the edge,
- 38:51Speaker 1: right on the edge. I don't want to be on
- 38:54Speaker 1: the edge. I want to be in the water. Yeah,
- 39:02Speaker 1: I want.
- 39:02Speaker 4: I want to I want to do the jokes that's
- 39:05Speaker 4: really really funny to me in my heart. If I'm
- 39:08Speaker 4: gonna do one more, it'll be the stuff that I
- 39:11Speaker 4: really think is really really funny in my heart, without
- 39:15Speaker 4: reservations or feelings.
- 39:17Speaker 1: The culture has really affected comedy.
- 39:20Speaker 4: In a great way. Yeah, in a great way. And
- 39:25Speaker 4: it's effected as to the what I mean, everybody's feelings
- 39:28Speaker 4: is hurt.
- 39:28Speaker 15: Now.
- 39:29Speaker 4: You can't make any type of statement anywhere without somebody,
- 39:34Speaker 4: you know, Man, I watched and I sent it to
- 39:36Speaker 4: our senio yesterday. I saw a clip popped up on
- 39:38Speaker 4: my timeline, but when our senior was on his show.
- 39:41Speaker 4: When we come back, I'll tell you about it.
- 39:43Speaker 12: Okay, we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey
- 39:46Speaker 12: Morning Show right after this.
- 39:48Speaker 10: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:52Speaker 12: All right, Steve, Before we left for break, you were
- 39:54Speaker 12: going to tell us about a clip you saw from
- 39:57Speaker 12: our senior hall.
- 39:58Speaker 4: You know, you know we were talking talking about Carla said,
- 40:01Speaker 4: has counsel culture really affected comedy?
- 40:04Speaker 1: And it has, man, because it's so pervasive.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Now, we live in a society where you have to
- 40:11Speaker 4: agree with everything everybody says, or else.
- 40:16Speaker 1: You're politically incorrect. And that's not fair.
- 40:19Speaker 4: It's not fair that all of us have to agree
- 40:23Speaker 4: with everything you choose as a lifestyle, or what you
- 40:28Speaker 4: choose as a decision to live your life or portray
- 40:33Speaker 4: different things, or just your view, whether it's religious, whether
- 40:37Speaker 4: it's race, whether it's sexuality, whatever it is.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Why is it that everybody has to.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Agree with it because you've come to that conclusion and
- 40:48Speaker 4: if they voice their disapproval, just like you voice your
- 40:51Speaker 4: approval and you want everybody's consent, everybody don't have to
- 40:57Speaker 4: consent to that. And it's unfair, Yes, carlge what I'm
- 41:00Speaker 4: saying though, for comedy on stage, you can have your
- 41:04Speaker 4: views and opinions.
- 41:05Speaker 1: And you're not a comedian. You don't have to.
- 41:07Speaker 16: Agree or disagree for whatever issues are out there. But
- 41:10Speaker 16: I mean for you and Tim.
- 41:12Speaker 1: But that's junior.
- 41:13Speaker 4: But that's what I'm saying. But listen here what I'm saying. Okay,
- 41:16Speaker 4: listen to what I'm saying. Our view from a comedic
- 41:21Speaker 4: standpoint about your race, your religion, your sexuality, your choices,
- 41:28Speaker 4: your decision, all your political views. Now all of a sudden,
- 41:32Speaker 4: we got to get canceled because we find something you
- 41:35Speaker 4: say funny or we use you as the subject matter
- 41:39Speaker 4: for the joke.
- 41:41Speaker 1: And that's crazy.
- 41:42Speaker 12: Yeah, used to say that all the time, Steve, when
- 41:44Speaker 12: political correctness started, you know, it stems from their first
- 41:49Speaker 12: political correctness.
- 41:50Speaker 10: Now the whole culture.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you saw you did senor.
- 41:53Speaker 4: I was watching the clip last night of our center
- 41:56Speaker 4: and I sent it to him. And our senior was
- 41:58Speaker 4: doing this show. Two gay guys representing the gay community,
- 42:04Speaker 4: and they yelled out to our Sinio, why don't you
- 42:07Speaker 4: have any gaze on your show? And our sen him said,
- 42:10Speaker 4: wait a minute, what And the guy stood up in
- 42:12Speaker 4: the back just is doing the tape. He said, why
- 42:14Speaker 4: don't you have any gaze on your show? He said, well,
- 42:18Speaker 4: we may have gaze on my show, but they're not
- 42:20Speaker 4: comfortable discussing their sexuality.
- 42:24Speaker 1: They didn't bring it up.
- 42:25Speaker 6: This was in the nineties, man, and he talked about
- 42:28Speaker 6: how you had Elton John on the show, and.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Then he said and he rocked it.
- 42:32Speaker 4: He said, but no, man, don't don't come for me,
- 42:34Speaker 4: like did you think I'm Johnny Carson or somebody like
- 42:37Speaker 4: I'm gonna walk away? No, man, I'm cleaving. But the
- 42:39Speaker 4: guy said, but you don't have any representation. He said, well,
- 42:43Speaker 4: who you want on the show, And the guy named
- 42:45Speaker 4: some dude that was obviously a gay guy, and Seno
- 42:49Speaker 4: said he ain't interested. He said, I put people on
- 42:52Speaker 4: the show that's interested. Don't nobody even know him? He said,
- 42:56Speaker 4: get you a show and then he said, man, get
- 42:58Speaker 4: you a show this. He said, gay people on there
- 43:02Speaker 4: all the time, we just ain't talking about their sexuality.
- 43:06Speaker 4: And that's the part of it, man, that gets to people.
- 43:10Speaker 4: And I'm sorry that I'm using just gay as the example,
- 43:14Speaker 4: but that was on the tape. It goes into everything,
- 43:18Speaker 4: your choice of religion, your choice of Hey.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Man, Like I saw a clip. I saw this Arab.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Guy who was just in dressed in the condurer and
- 43:29Speaker 4: he had the head gear on.
- 43:30Speaker 1: He walked into an all black classroom and had a bag.
- 43:35Speaker 4: And he took the bag and threw it that whole room.
- 43:41Speaker 4: That whole classroom got up and got out that door.
- 43:44Speaker 4: Them black kids would roll. It becall the joke in
- 43:49Speaker 4: it was because I'm dressed like this and I.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Got this bag in my hand and I throw this bag.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Everybody think it's a.
- 43:56Speaker 4: Bomb exactly now now people in their community mad about that.
- 44:03Speaker 4: Why are you perpetrating this stereotype, which I get, But
- 44:07Speaker 4: the joke was him damn black clid. They damned it
- 44:11Speaker 4: beat him out the room. Look, man, those stereotypes. It's
- 44:16Speaker 4: called comedy.
- 44:17Speaker 13: Man.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I've been telling black jokes for years, white joke for years.
- 44:22Speaker 4: And all of a sudden, you can't say nothing about
- 44:24Speaker 4: a group now because they offended.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean you could say it.
- 44:30Speaker 6: You just got to be more clever with it. It's
- 44:31Speaker 6: teaching me to be more clever. But you're still walking
- 44:34Speaker 6: that line. That line is right there. See to Steve,
- 44:37Speaker 6: you want to go over that line?
- 44:39Speaker 12: Coming up next the Nephew and Today's prank phone call.
- 44:42Speaker 12: Right after this, you're listening.
- 44:46Speaker 10: Morning show coming up at about four minutes after the hour.
- 44:50Speaker 12: It's my Strawberry letter for today, and the subject is
- 44:53Speaker 12: I stayed all night and heard everything. All right, we'll
- 44:57Speaker 12: go into that find out what that's all about in
- 44:59Speaker 12: just a few because right now it is time for

- 54:34Speaker 10: Thank you for you.
- 54:35Speaker 12: Subject, I stayed all night and heard everything. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:40Speaker 12: I'm twenty nine years old and I'm divorced. I've been
- 54:44Speaker 12: seeing a man from my past. We reunited after my
- 54:47Speaker 12: divorce and he told me he was in a situation
- 54:50Speaker 12: with a woman. After months of messing around with him,
- 54:53Speaker 12: I found out he and this woman were a lot
- 54:55Speaker 12: more serious than he said they were, So I let
- 54:58Speaker 12: her know that we were messing around too, so she
- 55:02Speaker 12: did not get too comfortable.
- 55:04Speaker 10: She copped an attitude with me, and she called me
- 55:06Speaker 10: a side chick.
- 55:07Speaker 12: Since she's not his wife, I figured he was fair game,
- 55:11Speaker 12: so I am still messing with him too.
- 55:13Speaker 10: She told our boyfriend that I called her.
- 55:16Speaker 12: And all he said was that I'm the number one
- 55:19Speaker 12: woman in his life and I shouldn't even worry about her.
- 55:22Speaker 12: But I was at his house Thursday night and we
- 55:24Speaker 12: had taken a bubble bath and I was warming up
- 55:27Speaker 12: food I brought over. We heard a car pull up
- 55:31Speaker 12: and he said it was the other woman. He panicked
- 55:34Speaker 12: and told me to go into his office, his home office,
- 55:37Speaker 12: and lock the door and he'd get rid of her.
- 55:40Speaker 12: First off, she had her own key and let herself in.
- 55:43Speaker 12: He said welcome home, and I heard them kissing. He
- 55:48Speaker 12: asked her if she was hungry, because he picked up
- 55:50Speaker 12: food after the gym. He said he had just taken
- 55:53Speaker 12: a hot bath because he was sore after his workout.
- 55:57Speaker 12: She said that she'd been so she'd been to have
- 56:00Speaker 12: the hours, and she stopped by to do some freaky
- 56:03Speaker 12: things to him before she went home.
- 56:05Speaker 10: He tried to stop her, but he couldn't.
- 56:09Speaker 12: They had the longest loudest sex I had ever heard.
- 56:14Speaker 12: I started to leave out of the room, but I
- 56:17Speaker 12: did not feel like fighting a drunk woman. He knocked
- 56:20Speaker 12: on the door to wake me up.
- 56:22Speaker 10: After she left.
- 56:23Speaker 12: He said that I'm still number one, and he begged
- 56:26Speaker 12: me not to dump him. She did come on real strong,
- 56:29Speaker 12: and he did try to stop her. Should I let
- 56:32Speaker 12: this slide or leave him alone?
- 56:40Speaker 13: Girl?
- 56:42Speaker 10: Come on, come on now, you gotta stop.
- 56:47Speaker 12: I mean, you were right there, locked up in the closet.
- 56:51Speaker 10: In his home office. You heard everything you said.
- 56:54Speaker 12: It was the longest loudest sex you ever heard. You
- 56:57Speaker 12: heard this with your own ears. What more do you
- 56:59Speaker 12: need to hear? This man is having his way with
- 57:01Speaker 12: the both of you, and you already knew this. I mean,
- 57:04Speaker 12: you called him early on in the letter our boyfriend.
- 57:08Speaker 1: He's winning.
- 57:10Speaker 12: He has absolutely no incentive to stop seeing the both
- 57:13Speaker 12: of you. He's living his best life right now. Apparently
- 57:17Speaker 12: all he had to do was tell you that you're
- 57:19Speaker 12: number one, and after.
- 57:21Speaker 10: That he can do whatever he wants.
- 57:23Speaker 3: He can do it.
- 57:24Speaker 10: You're not number one. These are just words that came
- 57:27Speaker 10: out of his mouth. He didn't mean any of this.
- 57:30Speaker 10: No one, especially a number one, would ever.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Be treated like this.
- 57:35Speaker 12: What are you talking about? And don't make excuses for him.
- 57:39Speaker 12: She came on real strong, and he did try to
- 57:41Speaker 12: stop her. He didn't try hard enough.
- 57:44Speaker 10: I mean, they did what they did. Okay, you heard
- 57:47Speaker 10: it all. She has a key to his house.
- 57:49Speaker 12: When she came through the door, he said, welcome home,
- 57:53Speaker 12: and he tells you to lock yourself in the home office.
- 57:58Speaker 12: He had to wake you up because she fellos.
- 58:01Speaker 2: What is going on?
- 58:03Speaker 10: Stop this madness.
- 58:04Speaker 12: Okay, it doesn't sound like you're number one to me
- 58:09Speaker 12: or anyone else here, but it sure sounds like she is.
- 58:12Speaker 12: Here's a deal. He's got two women. You're in a
- 58:14Speaker 12: three ry relationship or a throttle if you will, and.
- 58:18Speaker 10: You're sharing a man. Is this what you want? I mean,
- 58:21Speaker 10: what is your endgame here?
- 58:23Speaker 4: What is it?
- 58:24Speaker 10: Don't settle for this. This is craziness, Steve.
- 58:32Speaker 1: I got tired.
- 58:34Speaker 4: Yeah, about three quarters into the letter, I was just
- 58:37Speaker 4: exhausted trying to keep up with all this ignorance. You're
- 58:42Speaker 4: twenty nine and divorced. You're seeing a man from your past.
- 58:48Speaker 4: We reunited after my divorce. Now you in the rebound stage.
- 58:55Speaker 4: You want to still feel wanted, like somebody wants you,
- 58:58Speaker 4: So you get somebody you had in the past.
- 59:02Speaker 1: Now, he told you he was in a situation with
- 59:06Speaker 1: a woman. He told you.
- 59:08Speaker 4: Now, the fact that he don't tell you the extent
- 59:11Speaker 4: that ain't got nothing to do with it. He told you,
- 59:14Speaker 4: I'm in a situation with the woman. After months of
- 59:18Speaker 4: messing around with you, I found out that he and
- 59:22Speaker 4: this woman were a lot more serious than he said
- 59:25Speaker 4: they were.
- 59:26Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no no. He told you here
- 59:29Speaker 1: in a situation.
- 59:30Speaker 4: With a woman.
- 59:32Speaker 1: Now you're talking about you find out it's a lot
- 59:34Speaker 1: more serious than he said. He told you. So now
- 59:39Speaker 1: you found out there's a lot more serious than he
- 59:41Speaker 1: said they were.
- 59:42Speaker 4: So I let her know we were messing around too,
- 59:46Speaker 4: so she didn't get too comfortable. What you thought that
- 59:51Speaker 4: was a good IDEA Wait a minute, this is how
- 59:54Speaker 4: you think you secure a man. Call the other woman
- 59:58Speaker 4: and tell her you messing around with him too, that
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: you think if you break them up, that's gonna put
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: y'all together?
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Is that what you thought?
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: I keep kidding me, So then I told her not
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: to get you comfort. She caught the attitude with me
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: and called me a side chick because that's what you are.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Sad she know it.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: Since she's not his wife. I figured he was fad game,
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: so I'm still messing with him. Okay, so you signed
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: up for the bullcrap told you he was in a situation.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: You called the woman to tell her not to do comfortable,
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: not to get you comfortable. She shocked you with the news,
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: I am comfortable. You the side kick, baby, baby, baby, Relax,
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: you're the other thing.
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: Oh we'll have part two with your response coming up
- 1:00:52Speaker 12: at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter
- 1:00:55Speaker 12: subject I stayed all night and heard everything.
- 1:00:58Speaker 10: We'll got back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:01:01Speaker 10: Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:01:04Speaker 12: All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:01:07Speaker 12: I stayed all night and heard everything.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: Twenty nine year old divorced woman been seeing this man
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: from a past he got together with after she got together.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: With him after her divorce. He told this woman.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: He was in a situation, true told After months were
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: messing with him, she found out that this woman was
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: a lot.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: More serious than he said they were. No, no, no,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: he told you they was in a situation.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: So then I let her know that we were messing
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: around too, so she didn't get too comfortable.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: What wait a minute, you.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Told her that you and this zooe messing around too
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: in her not to get too comfortable.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: She caught the attitude with me and told and called
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: me a side chip. Well you are.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: She knows it, and we're gonna find out in the
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: letter why you decide? You but you already decide. When
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: he told you he was in a situation with a woman,
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: you signed up fordy way, you signed the agreement to
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: be the side chick when he told you he was
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: already with somebody. Since she's not his wife, I figured
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: he was fat game. So I'm still messing with him.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I can't tell you how many women moves out on
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: that the little thinking right there you're doing. She told
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: our boyfriend that I called her, and all he said
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: was I'm number one woman in his life and I
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: shouldn't worry about her.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait, let me ask you. So when he
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: was typing this letter, you ain't read none of this.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: You read you even you even capitalized the word our.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: She told our boyfriend I call her, and he said,
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: I'm number one woman, as I shouldn't worry about her.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Oh but then here go you problem.
- 1:02:44Speaker 14: Use.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: That is how Thursday night, y'all had took a bubble
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: bath and you was warming up food that you bought over.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: We heard the car pull up. He said, it was
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: the other woman. Oh showtime. Now this is why I
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: call this show time. Car pulled up.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: It's the other woman, showtime, he panied.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Told me to go into his home office and lock
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: the door, and he get rid of her.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: What he could tell you anything.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: You took your raggedy ass, your slide chick hands in
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: the office and locked the door as she was.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Told to do. Yes, yes, first off she had her
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: own key and let her in and he said, welcome
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: home again.
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: He told you to go in the home office, lock
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: the door, be quiet, don't come out.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Shut up.
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: She came in the door with the keith. He said,
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: welcome home. Your asses aside.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Oh he's having fun, and I.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: Heard them kiss it. He asked her if she was
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: hungry because he picked up some food after the jail.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: That's the food you fought my man right in and

- 1:04:28Speaker 4: He said, he picked it.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Up in Jim.

- 1:04:32Speaker 4: was so after the workout. Y'all took a buffer bath together.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: He'd have told her he just got out the bath
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: tub because it's still steamy in there. She said she
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: been happy, y'all, and stopped by to do some freaky
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: things infore she went home.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Tried to stop her, but he could, did he right.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: I don't want.
