- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in it to me, good to mother
- 0:27Speaker 1: for I don't join Jo. You gotta turn hur, you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out. Then turn the water, the water go. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing. Uh h, I sure will. Good
- 2:04Speaker 1: morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now wanting only Steve Harvey Man old man, got
- 2:11Speaker 1: a radio show. Yeah, I do. God so big to me, man,
- 2:15Speaker 1: I just have to tell you about it. I can't
- 2:17Speaker 1: help it. It's rather obvious to me how big, how
- 2:21Speaker 1: good God is. He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain.
- 2:27Speaker 1: He owned one, he'd be clowning, he'd be just showing out. Man.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm just over here, just on receiving it. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:43Speaker 1: mission today? What are you waiting for? Why do we
- 2:49Speaker 1: as people delay what we want or delay the process
- 2:58Speaker 1: to begin what we want our hopes, our dreams, our desires.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Why won't you start your mission today? Why don't we
- 3:07Speaker 1: all decide together that just individually look, you're listening. You
- 3:14Speaker 1: got something that you've been dreaming about. You got an
- 3:16Speaker 1: ambition of yours that's not yet fulfilled. You got goals
- 3:20Speaker 1: you haven't accomplished yet. Everybody has them, everybody's got on them.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Everybody's got something that's that's on the table that they
- 3:29Speaker 1: haven't yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for? Start
- 3:32Speaker 1: your mission today? Stop the procrastination. Now, the procrastination is
- 3:38Speaker 1: only hurting you yourself. If you got a goal or aspiration,
- 3:43Speaker 1: a dream and you fall off track momentarily, you can
- 3:47Speaker 1: get back to that because God knows where you're left off. Now.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You may have to accomplish a few more things since
- 3:54Speaker 1: you stop for a long period of time, but God
- 3:56Speaker 1: know where you left off, you can get back on track.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I look, man, this dream of being on TV since
- 4:02Speaker 1: I was a kid, and it got off track. Now
- 4:05Speaker 1: it got off track. I just kept it as one
- 4:08Speaker 1: of the dreams, and in some real dog moments when
- 4:11Speaker 1: it looked like it wasn't gonna happen, all I was
- 4:15Speaker 1: hanging on too was just the hope that one day
- 4:17Speaker 1: it could. But that's what faith is really about. Faith
- 4:21Speaker 1: is the belief in things that you cannot see. But
- 4:25Speaker 1: faith gives you the confidence to keep hoping. Man, sometime
- 4:29Speaker 1: it just keep hope alive. Sometimes, you heard Jesse Jackson said,
- 4:33Speaker 1: just keep hope alive. Sometimes, Man, it's just the hope.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I was hanging on the hope. And I'm talking about
- 4:41Speaker 1: when it got real ugly and funky out there for me,
- 4:44Speaker 1: when it looked like I wasn't gonna ever make it,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and all of the facts was in and everything pointed
- 4:51Speaker 1: in the direction you're not gonna make it. You didn't
- 4:54Speaker 1: really messed up this time. Then I sat there and
- 4:57Speaker 1: I just hung on to the hope. But man, that's
- 5:01Speaker 1: what I'm saying. If you got a dream on aspiration
- 5:04Speaker 1: of vision or something, when you fall off track and
- 5:08Speaker 1: you want to go get back in line, God holds
- 5:11Speaker 1: your place. See he held on to that fum me.
- 5:15Speaker 1: He knew I was off tracking how the line, but
- 5:17Speaker 1: he said, okay, here's where we stopped. You want to
- 5:20Speaker 1: be on TV that when you get it together and
- 5:22Speaker 1: you quit tripping and you come in your turn to me,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna hold your place, put you back in line,
- 5:26Speaker 1: then we're gonna finish your journey. That took me a
- 5:28Speaker 1: lot longer to get here than I wanted to. But
- 5:31Speaker 1: then it was necessary because I needed all of the
- 5:33Speaker 1: mishaps to happen to me along the way. So when
- 5:36Speaker 1: I got on the radio one day, which I did
- 5:38Speaker 1: not see coming, Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's why I say it every day. See, because of
- 5:43Speaker 1: this radio show that I didn't see coming. Na, I
- 5:46Speaker 1: have stories to tell. I got experiences to share, and
- 5:52Speaker 1: I can tell you about me better than I can
- 5:53Speaker 1: tell you about anybody. And I don't been through enough
- 5:57Speaker 1: where it's relatable where enough people can and go. Man,
- 6:00Speaker 1: that happened to me. Appreciate you saying that that's what
- 6:03Speaker 1: it was for. See, I get it now. See at
- 6:05Speaker 1: the time, though I didn't like what was happening to me.
- 6:09Speaker 1: At the time, I was really in total disagreement with
- 6:11Speaker 1: God on a lot of stuff he was pulling off
- 6:14Speaker 1: on me, But in essence I was really pulling it
- 6:16Speaker 1: off on myself. But through his grace and mercy, he
- 6:20Speaker 1: kept me through all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions,
- 6:24Speaker 1: all my miscalculations, all my misfires, all the times I
- 6:29Speaker 1: knowingly stepped out there and died wrong. He forgave me,
- 6:33Speaker 1: He said, Cause, man, if you ever come to me,
- 6:37Speaker 1: I have a plan for you that it is going
- 6:40Speaker 1: to be far and above. It will supersede everything you've
- 6:44Speaker 1: ever dreamed of. That's what I did. I just got
- 6:47Speaker 1: sick of me, good and sick of me, and I
- 6:50Speaker 1: turned it over to God. And then God started working
- 6:54Speaker 1: and here I am today now as he threw it me.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yet Nope, have I arrived ob ject Nope? But guess
- 7:02Speaker 1: what the journey is cool? You know, It's like I
- 7:05Speaker 1: was talking to this young brother the other day about
- 7:08Speaker 1: comedy and he's a really good stand up. You know,
- 7:11Speaker 1: this young dude is really good. He said, Man, what
- 7:14Speaker 1: is this I feel every night before I go on stage.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. I just wanted off me,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I said, sir, listen to me, you young dude. This
- 7:24Speaker 1: thing that climbs on my back every night before I
- 7:28Speaker 1: go on stage. I don't know what it is. It's
- 7:31Speaker 1: got something to do with pressure, It's got something to
- 7:33Speaker 1: do with anticipation. It's got a whole lot to do
- 7:36Speaker 1: with the fear of falling. He said, what you mean
- 7:39Speaker 1: by that? I said, every night I walk out on stage,
- 7:42Speaker 1: it's like I'm about to go and step off a cliff.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I said, it's a sickening feeling. He said, man, but
- 7:48Speaker 1: you do so well. I said, that's because the parachute opens.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I say, but I want you to understand something. When
- 7:54Speaker 1: I first walk out there, it's just stepping off the cliff. Now,
- 7:59Speaker 1: these provide a parachute which slows my descent when I
- 8:04Speaker 1: jump off the cliff, and I turned it into a glide.
- 8:08Speaker 1: And then I take the audience this way and I
- 8:10Speaker 1: swing them back over that way. We might swing out
- 8:13Speaker 1: to the Colorado Rockies. We may go down to Miami
- 8:17Speaker 1: with this joke. We may take it on out to
- 8:18Speaker 1: LA and I just swing back and forth till I
- 8:21Speaker 1: land softly. The crowd cheers. The night is over with,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I said, but it's been too many nights though. When
- 8:27Speaker 1: I walked off that cliff and I pulled the cord in,
- 8:30Speaker 1: the parachute didn't open. I said, Now I'm just free
- 8:33Speaker 1: falling out there for thirty minutes. Ain't no jokes working.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Ain't the parachute didn't open. I said, So see, that's
- 8:40Speaker 1: what it's like for me. And then you know what
- 8:43Speaker 1: I found out. If you don't walked off the cliff,
- 8:45Speaker 1: in life, and you ain't got no God in your life.
- 8:49Speaker 1: It's like not having a parachute. You step off the
- 8:52Speaker 1: cliff and you just free falling. Now see we all
- 8:57Speaker 1: now that fall gets you closer to the grave, right see,
- 9:00Speaker 1: were all head into the grave from the moment we're born.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But the cool thing about a relationship with God is
- 9:05Speaker 1: when you step off the cliff and you got God
- 9:08Speaker 1: here a parachute. You're still going down, but it's a
- 9:12Speaker 1: nice ride, and God just helps your your descent appear
- 9:16Speaker 1: more like a rise and then more like a euphoric fall.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Instead of not having no God in your life and
- 9:23Speaker 1: you just walking off that cliff every day, free falling.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Ain't got no core, You steady pulling, you houling the
- 9:30Speaker 1: whole way because you've messed around with yourself, and ain't
- 9:33Speaker 1: let God come into your life and provide a parachute
- 9:36Speaker 1: for you. I would rather have a parachute since I
- 9:39Speaker 1: got to jump every day, than to not have one.
- 9:43Speaker 1: God has been like a parachute from me. Ask me
- 9:47Speaker 1: why where that came from. I can't tell you. But
- 9:50Speaker 1: like I always say, most good things that happened in
- 9:53Speaker 1: my life that I can't explain it's usually him. You're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: got it? Oh my mind. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome

- 13:59Speaker 1: to Steve RFM dot com. Are you ready, selo ye,
- 14:04Speaker 1: come on, Chief Love Officer. This one is from Jasmine.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Jasmine is an online listener. She says, I'm a thirty
- 14:11Speaker 1: nine year old married woman and I have been married
- 14:14Speaker 1: three years. When my husband gets on the phone or
- 14:17Speaker 1: around other people, I find out things he doesn't like
- 14:20Speaker 1: about me. He told his brother that he can't get
- 14:23Speaker 1: a decent breakfast to save his life. Everything is overcooked,
- 14:27Speaker 1: he chuckled, as if he were joking. Then he was
- 14:30Speaker 1: on the phone with his best friend and said that
- 14:32Speaker 1: I snore like a bear, so it's like sleeping with one.
- 14:37Speaker 1: He chuckled after saying that too. I asked him why
- 14:41Speaker 1: does he do this? And he said I'm too sensitive.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Do you think that it's how he really feels? Or
- 14:47Speaker 1: are they just jokes? Okay, well they could be jokes.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Will be here an order for a joke to be affected,
- 14:54Speaker 1: it's gotta have ninety percent truth in it. For me. Now,
- 14:58Speaker 1: let's just go to find us. You can't cook. You
- 15:04Speaker 1: cannot cook, he probably man, probably can't get a decent brackness.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You know everything is over cook. You probably know that though,
- 15:14Speaker 1: and so you know that's something you could fix now snowing.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You might have to go see about that, but you
- 15:19Speaker 1: probably snow it too, you know. But then see, he
- 15:23Speaker 1: ain't perfect. So what you need to do is let
- 15:27Speaker 1: him over here. You on the phone. You ain't got
- 15:29Speaker 1: to be on the phone with nobody. Just when you
- 15:31Speaker 1: see him come and just hold your phone up your
- 15:33Speaker 1: ear and go down the list of complaints and see
- 15:35Speaker 1: how he liked it. Then if he don't like you
- 15:37Speaker 1: talking to him, talking you talking about him, he may
- 15:39Speaker 1: stop talking about you, or he just too sensitive, like
- 15:44Speaker 1: he accused her. Hello, he probably is two sisters. M
- 15:48Speaker 1: all right, thank you, Cello. Chastity and Oklahoma says. I'm
- 15:52Speaker 1: in my late twenties and I'm active on social media
- 15:54Speaker 1: because i'm a personal trainer. I've been in a decent
- 15:57Speaker 1: relationship for close to a year, and I've managed to
- 16:00Speaker 1: keep my love life and professional life separate. My boyfriend
- 16:04Speaker 1: feels like I should post pictures of us working out
- 16:07Speaker 1: together or celebrating my birthday or holidays together. He posts
- 16:11Speaker 1: pictures of us all the time, and that's fine, but
- 16:14Speaker 1: I use my social media to promote my business. Maybe
- 16:18Speaker 1: if we get married, I will post us, but not now.
- 16:22Speaker 1: He said, he feels like I have something to hide.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I told him he's insecure. That did not go over. Well,
- 16:28Speaker 1: how can we come to some kind of agreement on this, Well,
- 16:32Speaker 1: it's nothing to have an agreement about it. If you're
- 16:34Speaker 1: using your social media for business, he should understand that.
- 16:37Speaker 1: It would be different if you was posting other social
- 16:40Speaker 1: things on it and not him. But you just use
- 16:44Speaker 1: it for business. Now. If you're putting other stuff on
- 16:46Speaker 1: that did he has a gripe or real complaint. But
- 16:50Speaker 1: if you're only doing it for training businesses, to promote
- 16:53Speaker 1: your workouts and all like that, you ain't gotta put
- 16:56Speaker 1: you in him on that. You know he'll be all right.
- 16:58Speaker 1: It's just for business. And I don't know if you're
- 17:01Speaker 1: gonna be around no high That's why I ain't putting
- 17:03Speaker 1: you on here. We get married, Yeah, putting you on
- 17:10Speaker 1: here blocking no action on my hair coming my way
- 17:12Speaker 1: if you trim, because it sound like you're trying to
- 17:15Speaker 1: get out right now. Yeah, I mean, he says he
- 17:19Speaker 1: thinks she has something to hide. She said, well, you're
- 17:22Speaker 1: in you. She don't want nobody know nothing about Chow.
- 17:27Speaker 1: You want her to beat Jesse yours put a ring
- 17:30Speaker 1: on it other than that dog? What you're talking about?
- 17:34Speaker 1: All right, all right, we're moving on. Steve Anonymous in
- 17:38Speaker 1: Saint Louis says, I've been with my love, with the
- 17:41Speaker 1: love of my life for eighteen years, and we have
- 17:44Speaker 1: three children. Our lives got busy when we started having children,
- 17:48Speaker 1: and a wedding wasn't a priority. Now it's eighteen years
- 17:52Speaker 1: later and I want a wedding. Last year I got
- 17:56Speaker 1: an engagement ring to keep me quiet. I keep pressing
- 17:59Speaker 1: him to set a date, but he's not very motivated
- 18:02Speaker 1: to do so. I can't blame him for not making
- 18:04Speaker 1: me a priority now because I've accepted it for years.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I have a happy home life and we're married in
- 18:10Speaker 1: every way except legally. Should I let it go? No,
- 18:16Speaker 1: you want to be married, you should get married. Period.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It's simple, y'all living together, y'all got a house in
- 18:22Speaker 1: the home. It's just a date. You can go to
- 18:25Speaker 1: the courthouse. You got three kids, y'all, a family, gonna
- 18:28Speaker 1: get married. He ain't going away. You ain't going away, right,
- 18:32Speaker 1: And if something happened, she's I just had a pastor
- 18:37Speaker 1: there tomorrow. Even when he come in from where y'all
- 18:39Speaker 1: you're gonna get married right there, she can set the date.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Don't wait on him and just set it. Okay, you're
- 18:44Speaker 1: marrying this day right. Oh yeah, you already got to read.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah mmmm eighteen years? Wow? What come on, bitter man?
- 18:59Speaker 1: What I've been riding to this moon? That's your bitter
- 19:11Speaker 1: man response. Listen to the clo. Okay, I wonder why,
- 19:18Speaker 1: all of a sudden she wants a wedding after eighteen years,
- 19:22Speaker 1: she's gone all of a sudden shell she's always wonder Well, no,
- 19:25Speaker 1: she said, initially a wedding wasn't a priority. Okay, but
- 19:29Speaker 1: now after eighteen years, she wants a wedding. All right, Steve,
- 19:34Speaker 1: so tell me as a question. All right, all right,
- 19:37Speaker 1: this this is for everybody. Put these four in the
- 19:40Speaker 1: cage who come out alive. Lion, bab gorilla and python.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Oh lion. Yeah, I'm a leo. I'm going with the lion,
- 19:54Speaker 1: the lion, king of the jungle dog. I'm going on.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You don't think that gorilla can hand hail. No, I'm
- 20:02Speaker 1: going for the lion all day. I think that gorilla
- 20:06Speaker 1: called I'm going to I'm going to Lorilla. Now I'm
- 20:10Speaker 1: gonna go with that line. I don't think y'all understand.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Why do you understand why they called him King of
- 20:15Speaker 1: the Jong. He the king, but gorilla, you don't. They're
- 20:23Speaker 1: don't cross prayer. That's why gorillas. Let go ahead on that.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you you must ain't hurt signifying monkey. Yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 1: all right, coming up Church Complaints with Reverend Motown and

- 20:46Speaker 1: Miss Hannah's here with today's National News, and she's going
- 20:49Speaker 1: to give us a recap on the march on Washington
- 20:51Speaker 1: twenty twenty as thousands gathered at the National Mall and
- 20:56Speaker 1: the Lincoln Memorial as protesters marched this past Friday, Day
- 21:00Speaker 1: four Change. Also in Entertainment News, this is a sad, sad,
- 21:05Speaker 1: sad story right here. We are all shocked and just
- 21:08Speaker 1: devastated by the passing of Chadwick Boseman, our very own superhero.
- 21:15Speaker 1: It was due to colon cancer. He was forty three
- 21:18Speaker 1: years old. We'll talk more about these stories at the
- 21:20Speaker 1: top of the hour, but of course today is Monday,
- 21:23Speaker 1: and we're going to try and make you smile right
- 21:25Speaker 1: now with Reben Motown and Deacon def Jam and today's
- 21:28Speaker 1: church complaints. All right now, come yeah, well, introduced us

- 22:18Speaker 1: and go over or I said that right, we come
- 22:25Speaker 1: over here to refertudicate in the junction need the problem
- 22:31Speaker 1: made or the congregate in other words, the churches complaining.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Come on, deacon, all right here, we're gonna start this out.
- 22:41Speaker 1: The women with facial hair. Uh, the members would like
- 22:46Speaker 1: to know if it would be okay for them to
- 22:48Speaker 1: just put a happy face instead of zooming in the service.
- 22:51Speaker 1: The women with they're getting tired to see in the
- 22:53Speaker 1: latest with the facial hair pathor yok, No, I've or
- 23:00Speaker 1: decided to or have a solution for that. I'm bringing
- 23:05Speaker 1: back magic shave. No, it's just thinking, really well, we zooming,
- 23:12Speaker 1: you ain't gonna be able to smell it. Problem solved,
- 23:18Speaker 1: thank you, ain't gone a good time? All right? Magic
- 23:24Speaker 1: shaved all the latest. I thanks to this right off
- 23:27Speaker 1: the top of my head. No if you recognize him

- 23:38Speaker 1: They're saying that some of your sermons are starting to
- 23:41Speaker 1: be repetitive, meaning you're preaching the same thing, whether it's
- 23:45Speaker 1: old or the New Testament. They saying they already heard it.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Would it be okay to just send the money and
- 23:50Speaker 1: skip the zoom since they didn't hear it? Oh no,
- 23:54Speaker 1: the Bible said faith comes from hearing, not from having heard.
- 24:03Speaker 1: The fact that you already heard it, obviously you needed
- 24:06Speaker 1: to hear it again. So here I is miss But
- 24:12Speaker 1: they would like to get some new sermons. Stuff, ain't
- 24:16Speaker 1: no new sermons when you going to Hell? What you
- 24:21Speaker 1: want me to change? The neighbor Hell purgatory? All right?
- 24:26Speaker 1: The White House? Come on, prefre kep Yeah, they come
- 24:35Speaker 1: on to you, all right. They say, yeah, you keep
- 24:38Speaker 1: asking for money, but we don't know how much you're
- 24:40Speaker 1: taking up since we're not at the church counting the
- 24:43Speaker 1: money as it comes in, and we don't get receipts.
- 24:47Speaker 1: So we want to change this operation. We'd like to
- 24:50Speaker 1: know how much money you're taking so far that ain't
- 24:53Speaker 1: in the Bible. Your job is to give thine tent
- 25:00Speaker 1: sin Na, I didn't ask you what your tempera c
- 25:04Speaker 1: it was. You can't ask me what it is that
- 25:07Speaker 1: you get to me. But as members of the change,
- 25:10Speaker 1: we have it right now. Money. Well, I have a
- 25:12Speaker 1: right to know what we all should have right now.
- 25:14Speaker 1: What you what your temperac it was? Did we do
- 25:20Speaker 1: what Joe timperc it was? Did we digging that? Joe
- 25:26Speaker 1: timperc it did week digging. I'm just a message, na,
- 25:37Speaker 1: like I said, until we all wants to share the information.
- 25:43Speaker 1: What is you up over here for? Okay, all right,
- 25:47Speaker 1: all right, I'm the one. I got to spend a
- 25:49Speaker 1: whole day company and all. By the way, let me
- 25:52Speaker 1: tell you something. Don't take a whole day. I'm through
- 25:57Speaker 1: counting money. In five minutes, you count can the one
- 26:04Speaker 1: and all quit sitting in all these systs, cans and
- 26:08Speaker 1: a moving this move Okay, Now here's one for you paths.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I don't know how you're gonna feel about this. President
- 26:16Speaker 1: Trump wants to speak at the church this coming start.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Bring his ass down, young not speaking at this church?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Right nothing j p JJ doctor Jack Pott. We got
- 26:27Speaker 1: laughing him up in here. We ain't can shoe shine
- 26:30Speaker 1: black folk. He used to going around. We're not doing
- 26:33Speaker 1: that all the black studio just dance when he over stage.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Trump did nothing for us, right, But I want to
- 26:39Speaker 1: let you know he did say he was gonna bless
- 26:41Speaker 1: the congregation within a hundred thousand dollars. Donature. He can
- 26:45Speaker 1: go to the parking. You're a mass. You come to parking,
- 27:01Speaker 1: you can get out the limold, open up sun loo,
- 27:04Speaker 1: stand on the seat, say what you gotta says. But
- 27:07Speaker 1: we're gonna need a hundred for your seeds. Thousand? Have
- 27:16Speaker 1: you coming here with a millionaillar? He can wear my robe?
- 27:22Speaker 1: You could? You should a seat? Uh? Moving along past
- 27:31Speaker 1: the gospel magazine Holy Rollers wants to do a story
- 27:36Speaker 1: on you. They asked, do you mind discussing when you
- 27:40Speaker 1: got out your nice cars and big house, and supposedly
- 27:43Speaker 1: you've been seen shopping for a plane, and the congregation
- 27:48Speaker 1: just now hearing about a plane. You want to explain
- 27:51Speaker 1: how you paying for these as. I want to clear
- 27:54Speaker 1: this hole right now. I'm not shopping for a plane.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I'm falling in the footsteps or Minister Dollar. I'm asking
- 28:09Speaker 1: each one of my congregation members worldwide to donate a
- 28:15Speaker 1: thousand dollars. I'm asking all of my congregation members worldwide
- 28:24Speaker 1: to donate a thousand dollars. You act rabbit, I don't know,
- 28:32Speaker 1: I'm play. We're going to be charting for a while.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Church complaints coming up at the tip of the hour,
- 28:42Speaker 1: entertainment and national news right after this. You're listening to
- 28:47Speaker 1: Steve Morning Show. All of us continue to mourn the
- 28:53Speaker 1: shocking passing of forty three year old Chadwick Boseman. On
- 28:57Speaker 1: this past Friday, chad Chadwickman's family released a statement saying
- 29:02Speaker 1: it is with immeasurable grief that we confirmed the tragic
- 29:06Speaker 1: loss the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with
- 29:11Speaker 1: stage three colon cancer back in twenty sixteen and battled
- 29:15Speaker 1: with it these last four years as it progressed to
- 29:19Speaker 1: stage four. The statement went on to say it was
- 29:22Speaker 1: the honor of his career to bring King to Challa
- 29:26Speaker 1: to life in Black Panther. He died in his home
- 29:30Speaker 1: surrounded by his wife and family. They were by his side.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Other historical and iconic roles that Chadwick played included James Brown,
- 29:41Speaker 1: fantastic as James Brown, Jackie Robinson, of course, yes, outstanding. Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 1: that's a good one. And we also know that Chadwick
- 29:54Speaker 1: was a proud graduate of Howard University. H celebrities and
- 29:59Speaker 1: athletes from Denzel Washington, who actually paid for Chadwick to
- 30:04Speaker 1: go to school. He paid for I mean at the
- 30:09Speaker 1: behest of Felicia Richard. Yeah, and he didn't even know
- 30:13Speaker 1: at the ten Felicia was shot. He didn't even know
- 30:15Speaker 1: at the time. Chadwick got a chance to thank him.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I think it was at the New York premiere of
- 30:20Speaker 1: A Black Panther, and he called him the dopest actor
- 30:25Speaker 1: on the planet. He said that about his mentor Denzel,
- 30:31Speaker 1: and I mean Kevin Hart had nice things to say.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Samuel L. Jackson, Viola Davis, Angela Bassett, who was in
- 30:38Speaker 1: the movie, played his mom in Black Panther, Jamie Fox,
- 30:42Speaker 1: Ryan Coogler, who was the director of Black Panther, and
- 30:45Speaker 1: of course Steve Harvey. I mean, everyone is just heartbroken
- 30:49Speaker 1: over this. Talk about gone too soon. Denzel described Chadwick
- 30:54Speaker 1: as a general soul and he also said that when
- 30:56Speaker 1: he was at the premier for A Black Panther, he
- 30:59Speaker 1: actually went to get his money, get his money back. Yeah. Yeah,
- 31:08Speaker 1: you have made a bunch of hits, dog, But you
- 31:11Speaker 1: know here he was impactful. I mean, way too short
- 31:18Speaker 1: of a career, but the stuff he did was incredibly impactful.
- 31:22Speaker 1: So sad man, But it's just like, I mean, we
- 31:25Speaker 1: gotta get Look, man, these colon noster piece are important
- 31:29Speaker 1: in our community. They're moving the age. It's time for
- 31:31Speaker 1: me to go back and get another one, you know,
- 31:33Speaker 1: because I got nine probably seven years ago. You need
- 31:36Speaker 1: to get him. Every five might have got it eight.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I don't even know. But I gotta go back now, man,
- 31:41Speaker 1: And you know we got you looked man. These are yeah, man,
- 31:47Speaker 1: just gotta stay on top of it. Man, what a
- 31:49Speaker 1: great dude. But you dc, you're not even supposed to
- 31:52Speaker 1: go get him checked until you fifty. So he didn't
- 31:56Speaker 1: even he didn't even got to the colonoster be age.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah right. So by the time when they discovered it,
- 32:01Speaker 1: it was stage three, you know. So it's not like
- 32:04Speaker 1: he was neglecting his health anything, because they don't even
- 32:08Speaker 1: recommend you going to you fifty. But they said they
- 32:10Speaker 1: were going to move the date up. But if he'd
- 32:12Speaker 1: been battling it for he probably had it when he
- 32:16Speaker 1: was thirty nine. You know, he was doing movies between
- 32:20Speaker 1: Going to Get Keimo and all Us Bad Man. Yeah,
- 32:24Speaker 1: he was awesome. I mean, talk about a fighter and
- 32:28Speaker 1: a real superhero. Um. Last night, ABC honored Chadwick by
- 32:33Speaker 1: airing The Black Panther commercial free, and then it was
- 32:37Speaker 1: followed by an ABC News special Chadwick Boldsman, A tribute
- 32:41Speaker 1: for a king, A homeboy. Let me South Carolina. Yeah right, Jay,
- 32:46Speaker 1: that's right. All right, Steve. Time for the latest on
- 32:49Speaker 1: today's headlines. All right, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Trip,
- 32:53Speaker 1: thank you very much, everybody, Good morning. A homicide investigation
- 32:57Speaker 1: is underway in Portland, Oregon, after a man was shot
- 33:00Speaker 1: and killed Saturday night during clashes between anti racism protesters
- 33:05Speaker 1: and a pro Trump pro police group. The victim not
- 33:08Speaker 1: identified yet no arrest has been made. However, photos showed
- 33:11Speaker 1: that the guy was wearing a thin blue line patch
- 33:13Speaker 1: on his shorts and a hat from a local right
- 33:16Speaker 1: wing group calling itself Patriot Prayer, a group that has
- 33:19Speaker 1: been coming to Portland, I would say to demonstrate and
- 33:22Speaker 1: a leisurely engage in violence. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler says
- 33:25Speaker 1: he's tired of the violence, especially though the person he
- 33:28Speaker 1: says is responsible for it. President Trump, it's you who
- 33:33Speaker 1: have created the hate in the division. It's you who
- 33:37Speaker 1: have not found a way to say the names of
- 33:40Speaker 1: black people killed by police officers, even as people in
- 33:45Speaker 1: law enforcement have. And it's you who claimed that white
- 33:49Speaker 1: supremacists are good people. You've tried to divide us more
- 33:54Speaker 1: than any other figure in modern history. And now you
- 33:58Speaker 1: want me to stop the violence that you helped create.
- 34:02Speaker 1: That was the mayor of Portland ten and wheel And meanwhile,
- 34:04Speaker 1: the streets of Kenosha, Wisconsin were calm for a fifth
- 34:07Speaker 1: straight night last night, where protesters chanted job Jacob Blake,
- 34:12Speaker 1: the name of the young black man shot by a
- 34:14Speaker 1: policeman seven times in the back, paralyzed and still fighting
- 34:18Speaker 1: for life. President Trump, by the way, promising to visit
- 34:20Speaker 1: Kenosha this week. However, the mayor there, John Antoamian, tells
- 34:25Speaker 1: MPR that any presidential visit is fine, but just not
- 34:28Speaker 1: right now. By the way, the local police chief is
- 34:30Speaker 1: insisting that his officers did nothing wrong in being friendly
- 34:33Speaker 1: to the seventeen year old white man who came to
- 34:36Speaker 1: Kenosha armed and who then allegedly shot three anti racist protesters,
- 34:41Speaker 1: two of them fatally. Kyle Rittenhouse is charged with first
- 34:43Speaker 1: degree intentional homicide. Congessional Democrats say they're outraged by the
- 34:47Speaker 1: Trump administration's decision not to provide face to face intelligence
- 34:51Speaker 1: briefings to legislators about how foreign powers are trying to
- 34:54Speaker 1: once against subvert our democracy. The National Head of Intelligence,
- 34:57Speaker 1: John Ratcliffe says from now on he'll only provide written reports.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Democrats say this is a violation of the administration's constitutional
- 35:04Speaker 1: responsibility to keep the Congress in form and Chelison officials
- 35:08Speaker 1: already announced that Russia is already working to harm Joe
- 35:11Speaker 1: Biden's presidential bid. Finally, and so sadly, mister Jackie Robinson,
- 35:15Speaker 1: mister Black Panther, mister James Brown, and others has left
- 35:18Speaker 1: us too soon after Chadwick Aaron Bozeman died from Anderson,
- 35:22Speaker 1: South Carolina died Friday after losing a four year battle
- 35:25Speaker 1: against colon cancer. Among his great roles, get on up,
- 35:28Speaker 1: Marshall and black Panther, I am not the king of
- 35:30Speaker 1: old people. I am king of a combat actor. Chadwick
- 35:33Speaker 1: Boseman was forty three years old. Now back to the
- 35:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning show. You're listening to the sty show.
- 35:41Speaker 1: We have to say, Steve, congratulations to our very own
- 35:45Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Brown. You've been talking about it for a while.
- 35:51Speaker 1: You are one of the stars Tyler Perry's brand new
- 35:55Speaker 1: TV show. It's called Tyler Perry's Assistant Living. And JA,
- 36:00Speaker 1: what a blessing to have that part, you know, in
- 36:02Speaker 1: the way I got it knowing. They thank you, thank you,
- 36:06Speaker 1: thank you so much. The show called Assistant Living. The
- 36:08Speaker 1: premise of the show is My Wife Dies. I played Denny.
- 36:13Speaker 1: I played the part of Denny. My wife Dies leaves
- 36:15Speaker 1: me some money to give to my grandson, who's played
- 36:19Speaker 1: by Naheim, Lynn David and Kamlamanna on the show, Courtney Nichols,
- 36:23Speaker 1: Hallebuck and Alex Henderson. He passes away. I'm supposed to
- 36:27Speaker 1: give the money to my grandson when he shows up.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I bought this old rundown retirement home. Blew the money.
- 36:35Speaker 1: He don't get. None of the money he don't get.
- 36:38Speaker 1: That's called you sent your grand success. Spend it all
- 36:40Speaker 1: and to offset my income. I'm growing weed in the backyard.
- 36:49Speaker 1: You ain't even seen it in It's funny Rights. We
- 36:54Speaker 1: know you comes on this Wednesday night. Also I have
- 36:59Speaker 1: a fake hook and to get more money from disability.
- 37:02Speaker 1: And you could see that this hand is not a
- 37:05Speaker 1: real hook, Candid, and it's a lot of then it
- 37:11Speaker 1: is my character I'm playing. I played any grandpa and
- 37:14Speaker 1: it's just it was a lot of fun to work
- 37:15Speaker 1: with David Man on this show and everybody else many
- 37:20Speaker 1: getting into it with mister Brown oh all constantly, it's
- 37:24Speaker 1: non stop. It's I'm his honest, That's who I am,
- 37:33Speaker 1: none stop. But when you see that hook like that
- 37:36Speaker 1: is not a real up with the with the idea
- 37:41Speaker 1: for mister mister Perry came up with the idea of
- 37:44Speaker 1: to do this show. You know, it was just a
- 37:46Speaker 1: great concert. And the stuff you can say that he
- 37:48Speaker 1: put he was, Steve, you've been on these shows with
- 37:50Speaker 1: they're giving you lines to say, and mister Parry would
- 37:53Speaker 1: give you these lines and I'm like, I can say that, okay,
- 37:56Speaker 1: all right, lot of ad living, a lot of One
- 38:03Speaker 1: line I did was about to Kurt Freklant. I said,
- 38:06Speaker 1: Kurt Freklant was God Lives Christian and mister Perry had
- 38:10Speaker 1: never heard me say that before. Stays so small you
- 38:12Speaker 1: can win around your neck. He said, we're leaving it in.
- 38:15Speaker 1: We're leaving it in, y'all. Check it out on b ET.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Check it out. Tyler Terry's assistant Living Wednesday, September two,
- 38:30Speaker 1: at nine shows, eight Central one b ET. All right,
- 38:35Speaker 1: thank you Jay so much. We're gonna switch gears. Talk
- 38:37Speaker 1: more about the loss of the great Chadwick Bozeman and
- 38:41Speaker 1: colon cancer in the African American community. Right after this,
- 38:45Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So Steve,
- 38:50Speaker 1: earlier we talked about how we are still mourning the
- 38:53Speaker 1: loss of Chadwick Bowlsman. Of course, a few years back, Um,
- 38:57Speaker 1: you had a chance to interview Chadwick about some of
- 39:00Speaker 1: his iconic movie role. Take a listen, what's in life?
- 39:04Speaker 1: Seeing everybody's reaction to the comic contrailer, it was like
- 39:09Speaker 1: I imagine a Michael Jackson concert. Was like that. People
- 39:13Speaker 1: were crying, people were they were laughing. Uncle lost complete control.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Even I was crying. But it literally, it literally it
- 39:21Speaker 1: was like a concert experience. This new film, marshal Man,
- 39:25Speaker 1: explain what it is exactly, Well, it's like a superhero
- 39:30Speaker 1: origin film of Thurgood Marshall. Because he hasn't he hasn't
- 39:34Speaker 1: gotten to do the things you know he will do. Yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 1: and so he's the Marshall play on the word Marshall
- 39:40Speaker 1: coming into town to implement justice. So it's like a
- 39:43Speaker 1: Western Who Done It slash Buddy cop film and it's
- 39:47Speaker 1: a feel good experience at the same time. Yeah, that's
- 39:50Speaker 1: a fight scene in the movie. Right, and you square
- 39:53Speaker 1: up like a boxer. Man, are you a boxing fan?
- 39:57Speaker 1: Did you take lessons? I love boxing practice, see myself,
- 40:01Speaker 1: you know that's me that the Mayweather fight recently, Jamie
- 40:03Speaker 1: Fox nys Um puff I love. Did you see the
- 40:07Speaker 1: reaction you got from those guys from Jamie from from Yeah, yeah,
- 40:12Speaker 1: it's amazing. Man. I don't know if you understand how
- 40:15Speaker 1: a lot of people feel about you. Wow man, right man, Steve, Yeah,
- 40:27Speaker 1: what the comic cun and when he came out, It's
- 40:31Speaker 1: unbelievable the way they reacted to that character. Man, It's
- 40:34Speaker 1: just it's unbelievable. He's right. It's bigger than a microld, bigger,
- 40:40Speaker 1: you know, special du Yeah that was good for him, man,
- 40:43Speaker 1: good for his family. What a shock, such a shocker, right, um?
- 40:52Speaker 1: And uh wow, he lost his private battle. Um. Chadwick
- 40:56Speaker 1: Boseman did to colon cancer. And did you all know that,
- 41:01Speaker 1: I think we've talked about this earlier to Steve, that
- 41:04Speaker 1: colon cancer is the third deadliest cancer among men and
- 41:08Speaker 1: women in the US. It's after lung cancer and men
- 41:11Speaker 1: and breast cancer and women. Wow, they won't go Black
- 41:17Speaker 1: men need to go to the doctor. And African Americans
- 41:21Speaker 1: of course, are at greater risk of colon cancer. And
- 41:24Speaker 1: the American Cancer Society recommends regular screening of colon cancer
- 41:28Speaker 1: at the age of forty five forty five, right, go ahead,
- 41:33Speaker 1: Malloyd up, it used to go to forty man. Well,
- 41:36Speaker 1: I mean, you know the hurt, right, it's really really rare.
- 41:41Speaker 1: The insurance, you know, I mean, I mean it's really
- 41:44Speaker 1: really rare. But it doesn't mean it can't happen. But
- 41:47Speaker 1: you know, I mean doctors don't even recommend that you
- 41:49Speaker 1: get a colonoscopy in now until your forty five. It
- 41:53Speaker 1: was fifty years ago. And now that that cancer society,
- 41:57Speaker 1: American Cancer Society, said they were going to move it
- 42:00Speaker 1: up to forty five. But he died from it at
- 42:03Speaker 1: forty three. Been battling it for four years, so he
- 42:05Speaker 1: obviously had it at thirty nine. And I mean, who
- 42:09Speaker 1: would ever think it. It's not something that's very normal
- 42:13Speaker 1: at all. You know, it could be family history. You
- 42:16Speaker 1: don't you know from this family. You don't, you don't know.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I mean, I've had two colonoscar pies. I had to.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I had one my mid forties and I had one
- 42:25Speaker 1: at fifty. Steve you had one, I have one. Shirley's
- 42:29Speaker 1: had one. You called me when you got ready to
- 42:31Speaker 1: do yours. We talked about it, how important it was.
- 42:35Speaker 1: I need to go, get going, just for the weight loss.
- 42:40Speaker 1: It flushes you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you have to drink. Yeah.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Tell you you have a kid you oh yeah, Oh,
- 42:57Speaker 1: I tell you no, no, no, no, no. He does
- 43:00Speaker 1: his own prostate checks and you know all of that. Okay,
- 43:05Speaker 1: I'm saying that commercial. No no, but we I mean,
- 43:09Speaker 1: we're trying to bring awareness at the same time and
- 43:14Speaker 1: cancer many Yeah, so can. The American Cancer Society again
- 43:19Speaker 1: recommends regular screening for colon cancer at the age of
- 43:23Speaker 1: forty five. Yeah. We lost a great woman in Chadwick.
- 43:27Speaker 1: He will always be our king. He will Yeah, rest
- 43:31Speaker 1: in peace. Chadwick Boseman, Waconda Forever coming up next again.
- 43:36Speaker 1: We'll try to laugh a little bit. Nephew will be
- 43:39Speaker 1: here with today's prank phone call right after this you're
- 43:42Speaker 1: listening to coming up at the top of the hour,
- 43:48Speaker 1: right about four minutes after today strawberry letter. My subject,
- 43:52Speaker 1: please don't bring any food to the cookout. Wait a minute,
- 43:57Speaker 1: is this to me? Should be? It should be? Maybe
- 44:06Speaker 1: you do know that you don't bring any food to

- 51:48Speaker 1: He got another level, right, that dude right there. As
- 51:56Speaker 1: soon as he find out where you at, he got

- 53:38Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject, please
- 53:42Speaker 1: don't bring any food to the cook out. Sure sure, right,
- 53:51Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, Except Carla, I'm a thirty three year
- 53:55Speaker 1: old entrepreneur and I need your advice because Labor Day
- 53:59Speaker 1: is coming soon. I live in a nice, big neighborhood
- 54:03Speaker 1: and I'm friends with everyone on my block. We're a
- 54:05Speaker 1: close knit community, and each year we have a community
- 54:09Speaker 1: outing for Labor Day at the neighborhood clubhouse. Last year,
- 54:13Speaker 1: I took two big watermelons, some ice, and two cases
- 54:17Speaker 1: of soda. Since I'm a bachelor, I'm not expected to
- 54:20Speaker 1: do much more than that. We send around a checklist
- 54:24Speaker 1: annually so we'll know who's bringing what to the party.
- 54:28Speaker 1: My next door neighbors always bring the cups, plastic ware,
- 54:32Speaker 1: and paper towels each year, but this year they signed
- 54:36Speaker 1: up to bring the potato salad and homemade coleslaw. First
- 54:40Speaker 1: of all, everyone in the neighborhood knows they have the
- 54:47Speaker 1: nastiest house on the block. They have three dogs that
- 54:51Speaker 1: have free rain in the house. Their carpet is disgusting,
- 54:55Speaker 1: and I would never eat anything they cooked. When I
- 54:59Speaker 1: go over to I have a drink with the man
- 55:01Speaker 1: of the house. We either sit in the garage or
- 55:03Speaker 1: out back. I haven't been able to sit in their
- 55:06Speaker 1: house for any period of time because of the pets.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Everyone feels the same as I do, but we are
- 55:12Speaker 1: all afraid to tell the couple. I told the wife
- 55:15Speaker 1: that it's probably going to be too hot for the
- 55:17Speaker 1: salads to stay outside, and she said she plans to
- 55:20Speaker 1: keep them in the cooler covered up. If we avoid
- 55:23Speaker 1: eating their salads, it will be noticeable, and we don't
- 55:27Speaker 1: want to hurt anyone's feelings. I feel bad about talking
- 55:31Speaker 1: about them behind their backs, but this could be a
- 55:34Speaker 1: bad situation for us and for them. For them, Labor
- 55:38Speaker 1: Day is always a memorable weekend and I can't have
- 55:42Speaker 1: barbecue without potato salad. I need advice on how to
- 55:45Speaker 1: tell them before it becomes a big mess. Is it
- 55:49Speaker 1: best to come right out and say it? Please advise.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Sounds like it's already a big mess. Okay, And yeah,
- 55:55Speaker 1: it's best to come right out and say it. But
- 55:57Speaker 1: you just gotta be nice about it. I mean, I
- 56:00Speaker 1: just say, if the nasty neighbors bring the food, do
- 56:03Speaker 1: not eat the food. You can't eat this food, the
- 56:05Speaker 1: nastiest house in the block. No, you can't do it.
- 56:08Speaker 1: That's it, period. Don't eat the food. I suggest you
- 56:12Speaker 1: bring your own since you can't eat barbecue, you say,
- 56:15Speaker 1: without potato salad. Do you have someone in your family
- 56:19Speaker 1: or friend or something that can make good clean house
- 56:22Speaker 1: potato salad. I think you need to contact them and
- 56:27Speaker 1: just bring the stuff, ask them to do you a salad,
- 56:30Speaker 1: take it with you, and eat it with your meal.
- 56:33Speaker 1: If they ask you, just tell them your friend made it.
- 56:36Speaker 1: No other explanation necessary. This is not a major issue
- 56:40Speaker 1: to me. I think you can handle this potato salad situation.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I understand you don't want to hurt their feelings or anything,
- 56:48Speaker 1: but you don't want to eat their their potato salad
- 56:51Speaker 1: and their homemade coleslaw either. So that's the choice you
- 56:55Speaker 1: have to make. I just say, have somebody else to
- 56:57Speaker 1: make it and just act like, you know whatever, it's
- 57:02Speaker 1: been there all the time or something. You can handle this. Steve,
- 57:07Speaker 1: we all at some point in my life have dealt
- 57:10Speaker 1: with this. This ain't the time to be neighboring. It's
- 57:15Speaker 1: time to be real. They live in a nice, big neighborhood.
- 57:25Speaker 1: He friends with everybody on the block. Close knit community,
- 57:30Speaker 1: got block watch everything, They got houses associated, everybody cool.
- 57:38Speaker 1: They have a community outing on Labor Day at the
- 57:42Speaker 1: neighborhood club house. Oh I know this community well. Last
- 57:49Speaker 1: year I took two big watermelons, ice and two cases
- 57:52Speaker 1: solder these as black people. Oh yeah, because potato seller
- 57:59Speaker 1: has to be right. Did you hear that? No, that
- 58:05Speaker 1: ain't fly because the single dude showed up with two
- 58:09Speaker 1: damn watermelons, two cases of soda, and some ice, and
- 58:13Speaker 1: they let him get away with that because black people
- 58:15Speaker 1: know this all you post the brain, sweetie, you you
- 58:18Speaker 1: can't cook. See that's how I analyzed this right here.
- 58:25Speaker 1: So now we so we do a checklist, so we
- 58:30Speaker 1: know who's bringing everything. Now, normally their next door neighbors
- 58:33Speaker 1: just bring the plastic were paper tiles. But this ship
- 58:38Speaker 1: they signed up the brain, the potato salad, that homemade
- 58:40Speaker 1: cold slaw, and everybody's neighborhood. No, they got the nastiest
- 58:44Speaker 1: house in the block. All right, let's put the brakes
- 58:46Speaker 1: on this right here. You must release this information. Someone
- 58:51Speaker 1: has already made the potato salad. Damn it. I know
- 58:56Speaker 1: it's August, but someone has all read it made the
- 59:02Speaker 1: potatoes salad for Labor Day even though it's still August.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Oh huh, okay, the potatoes salad and cold slaw is
- 59:13Speaker 1: already made. It's been handled. Someone has committed to this.
- 59:21Speaker 1: But Joe Nastas can't brain. No food everything you brain
- 59:25Speaker 1: got to be wrapped up, folks, nas no cold on Steve.
- 59:31Speaker 1: We'll have part two of Steve's res and twenty three
- 59:35Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, Subject, please don't bring any food
- 59:39Speaker 1: to the cook out. We'll get back into it right
- 59:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, come on, Steve,
- 59:47Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter and see it wasn't about
- 59:50Speaker 1: me after all. Subject, please don't bring any food to
- 59:53Speaker 1: the only reason it ain't you surely called they nasty.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, although now here we go the close knit community.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Little single dude go down every year taking a couple
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: of watermelons iced couples case so here, bastlord Genterm, I
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: expect him to do no boating there. And they sit
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: around the checklist everybody want everybody gonna bring to the park.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Then his neighbor's nasty and they always bring paperwear, plastic were, paper, tiles, cups,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: stuff that's wrapped. This year, they signed up the brain
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: for tato salad and the homemade cold slow everybody neighborhood. No,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: they got the nasta's house on the block. They got
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: three dogs, got free reid. They carpet is disgusting. I
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: would never eat anything they cook. Then why is y'all
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: letting them bring homemade potato salad and cold slow? Too
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: many damn things can go in now. It's just too
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: many damn things. You know, dogs in there, You could
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: drop stuff in there. Too many egretis in there. You
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: know you don't know what you're eating? You know you
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: you and and this is and I see y'all these
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: yearly events. We can't under risk or somebody messing up
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: a yearly event. That's why you're on Golden People house.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: It can't cook the Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving comes once a year. Yeah,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: go over to nobody's house, taking chances, trying nothing out. Oh,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I made I made a new sweet potato dish and
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: it ain't yams. What you know? I made a new
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: sweet potato dish and it ain't yams? What is what? Damn?
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: It is Thanksgiving? What ain't yam? I've been waiting all
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: year on this here? What is you talking about? Yeah?
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I do them. I just cut them up in quarters.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: You are to see it. It's so pretty. You cut
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: the sweet potatoes up in quarters? What ball them? Okay?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I can't tell y'all, Wait till you see this everybody
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: feels the same as he does, but they are afraid
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: to tell the couple. Then what he tried to do
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: is he tried to tell a nasty lady, probably gonna
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: be too hot for the salast to stay outside. She said,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: we're gonna keep him in the cooler. Cover it up.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: So now that's why you ain't got to eat no,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: because they're gonna be in the cooler. Cover it up, Jeff.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Let everybody know what cooler they are. That's it, you know.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I didn't even see these you know, and let him
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: take it on back. It's gonna be noticeable. And we
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: don't want to hurt anybody's feeling. Look, you got to
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: hurt people. You have to hurt It ain't the time
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: to you got to hurt these people. Somebody got to
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: take a spoon over and go, what the hell? Hell no?
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Why is that hell? That ain't no damn potato satade. See,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: you got to hurt some people, and then I feel
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: bad talking about them behind their back. But this could
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: be a bad situation for us, saying Neil, mostly for y'all.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: They're gonna eat it because they ain't gonna know it's bad. See,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: nasty people don't really know they nasty. If you ever
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: go on somebody's house that got a lot of dogs
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: and you smell their dogs, they don't smell they dogs.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Labor Day is always a memorable weekend. It's gonna be
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: even more memorable because you're, first of all, let me
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: explain something, y'all about this neighbor that you're gonna mess with.

- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Morning Show. We'll be back at about twenty minutes after
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this you're listening to show the
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron said he received the FBI
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: ballistics report from the fatal shooting of Brianna Taylor. Cameron tweeted,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: there is still additional analysis that must take place. You
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: guys will recall that Kentucky's ag said that he needed
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: that ballistics report before deciding if he would bring charges
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: against the playing close Louisville Copps, who shot and killed
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Brianna Taylor. Daniel said also said that on face the nation,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: the report is not the end all to be all,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: and there was still some witness testimony and interviews that
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: have to be conducted. He spoke at the publican national
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: confusion with him thirty three years old, young black guy.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: He made me sick and let me explain something too.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: All you got to do is take every bullet that's
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: in the wall and remove the bullets from the body.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: You take it. You take all the guns that was
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: there that night. You look at the shells that were
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: found at the scene. You file those same police officers
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: guns into the water tank, and you match the bullets up.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: The bullets that's in the wall and in the body.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: They have a score on it that comes out of
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: the chamber of guns. That's just like a fingerprint, and no.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: Two of the say, and you will know whose guns
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: shot who. Just don't take all the damn moss. They
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: get this done on forty eight hours. In forty eight hours, yes,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: we'll have more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: the hour right after this. You're listening, all right, So Steve.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Earlier we talked about how we are still mourning the
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: loss of Chadwick Bowlsman. Of course, a few years back
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: you had a chance to interview Chadwick about some of
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: his iconic movie roles. Take a listen, what's in life?
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Seeing everybody's reaction to the comic contrailer, it was like
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: I imagine a Michael Jackson concert was like, but that
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: people were crying, people were they were laughing. Uncle lost
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: complete control. Even I was crying. But it literally, it
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: literally was like a concert experience. This new film, Marshal Man,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: explain what it is exactly, Well, it's like a superhero
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: origin film of Thurgood Marshall because he hasn't he hasn't
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: gotten to do the things you know he will do. Yeah,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: and so he's the Marshall play on the word Marshall
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: coming into town to implement justice. So it's like a
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Western who Done It slash buddy cop film. It's a
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: feel good experience at the same time. Yeah, that's a
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: fight scene in the movie, right, and you square up
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: like a boxer. Man, are you a boxing fan? Did
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: you take lessons? I love boxing practicing myself, you know
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: that's me that the Mayweather fight recently, Jamie Fox n
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: eyes um puff I love. Did you see the reaction
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: you got from those guys from from Jamie from from Yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: it's amazing, man. I don't know if you understand how
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: a lot of people feel about you. Wow man, right man? Yeah,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: what the comic cun and when he came out. It's
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: unbelievable the way they reacted to that character. Man, It's
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: just it's unbelievable. He's right, it's bigger than a micropah bigger,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: you know, special dude. Yeah, that was good for him, man,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: good for his family. What a yock's three years old?
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Such a shocker, right, Um? And uh wow he lost
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: his private battle, Um, Chadwick Boseman did to colon cancer?
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: And did you all know that. I think we talked
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: about this earlier to Steve that colon cancer is the
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: third deadliest cancer among men and women in the US.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: It's after lung cancer and men and breast cancer and women. Wow,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: they won't go Black men need to go to the doctor.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: And African Americans, of course, are at greater risk of
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: colon cancer, and the American Cancer Society recommends regular screening
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: of colon cancer at the age of forty five. Forty five, right,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: go ahead, it used to go to fordy man. Well,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: I mean, you know they're gonna hurt, right, It's it's
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: really really coming up. It's our last break of the day.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: It is the last break of the day. Let me
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: tell you them. If you need toilet paper I'm your man.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: I go okay. We'll also have some closing remarks from
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening to show. All right, guys,

- 1:19:43Speaker 1: have sixty three days left. Steve Harvey, Yes, we do.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: This is incredible, man. This thing is coming up on
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: us fast. And this new website that we've got this
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: even better. Vote dot org can help every everybody know
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: exactly when everything can happen. What's the last day you
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: can register, what's the first day you can early vote?
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: How you can vote by sending your ballots, and you
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: can mainly in vote, you can early vote, how to
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: vote at the polls, where your polling station will be everything.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: I am so loving this Black Lives Matter movement. I'm
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: not loving the reason why, but I'm loving the movement.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I'm loving the reaction to the why See, we have
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: a president that doesn't address these things right here because
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: he really doesn't care. But we do. And in order
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: for us to really drive the point at home that
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: black lives matter, we have to vote. If black lives matter,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: then our vote must matter too. See, if we really
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: want them to pass policy to make change in the
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement, the black lives must show up
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: at the poll in unprecedented numbers to force them to
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: bring about change and policy. See, everybody keep talking about
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: what they're gonna do for black people. You can demand
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: whatever you want when you become a block, a power
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: block at the polls. Don't you understand that you can
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: demand whatever you want when you become a voting power block.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter is the beginning of something really really
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: huge here with all the protests, with all the marching,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: with all the help from non blacks, with all of
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: the outrage we're seeing around the country and cities that's
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: still protesting, with the statement that sports teams are making listen,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: all of this can come to a head at the
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: polls because they don't care that we march it. They
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: really don't, man, listen to me. They've seen this before. Now,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: they've never seen it at this magnitude with the social
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: media behind it, and they haven't seen this magnitude of
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: non blacks behind it. So there is something special going
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: on here. But they will really understand the depth and
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: the breath of it all if we make black lives matter,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: because our vote matters too. So if you really want
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: your black life to matter, we got to show up
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: at these polls because I'm telling you, man, they don't
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: listen until you hit them in the pocket. They don't
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: listen until you cause them to lose position and power. Position,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: power and money is to drive having forced behind this country,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: nothing else, nothing else. That's why so many people are
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: pulling and backing Trump because he represents their power in
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: their position. The sad part of it is is that
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: there's so many Trump supporters. That's the sad part that,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: as much as I want to say this country is changing,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: it's disheartening to see all the Trump supporters with the
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: flags and stuff, because I don't I don't that they're
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: not even trying to understand. When you watch Fox News,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: they make Black lives matter is a Marxist movement to
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: cripple and socialize America that ain't what it's about at all.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: That's not what it's about. So we got to show
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: him what it's about. And the best way to show
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: him is to do it at the polls. I'm telling y'all, man,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: we can't play around this time. This has to turn
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: up at the pole with all this marching and all
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: this protesting, and til we get them to change policy,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: until we forced their hand to get better police training
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: or better process of dealing with the police and the
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: way they handle people from our community, until we forced
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: their hand to get in that position right there, it's
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: gonna continue. They just shot another brother. They shot him
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: in the back. This was during the Black Lives movement.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: You know, this thing is in full blast, and they
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: managed to shoot this brother in his back seven times
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: in spite of it, not to mention the other ones
