Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Biden Fails Again in ABC News Interview, Making it Harder to Hold Onto Power

- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, So Joe Biden does this interview with George Stepanopolis,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and the reason why he did this interview is pretty simple.
- 0:10Speaker 1: He's trying to say, hey, we don't I'm not totally senile,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm in charge, I'm the president. Everything's okay. You don't
- 0:21Speaker 1: need to worry. It was just a bad night, and
- 0:24Speaker 1: that was the message that he needed to send to
- 0:27Speaker 1: the American people. If you watch the interview, I don't
- 0:31Speaker 1: think it was a disaster. I also don't think it
- 0:34Speaker 1: helped him at all. I don't think that it helped
- 0:38Speaker 1: him actually in any capacity. I think it just kind
- 0:43Speaker 1: of solidified what we were all thinking, and what we
- 0:47Speaker 1: were all thinking, is this a really old, seenile guy.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I also want to go back to something else that
- 0:52Speaker 1: I've said for quite some time, and that's this. I
- 0:55Speaker 1: believe that this is going to go down history as
- 0:59Speaker 1: the biggest cover up in modern political history of the
- 1:04Speaker 1: cognitive decline of Joe Biden. We're going to find out
- 1:08Speaker 1: that everybody around him, for not weeks, not months, but years,
- 1:11Speaker 1: has been covering for his declining health and mental incapacity.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I also think we're going to find out that Joe
- 1:19Speaker 1: Biden wasn't actually running the country. And that's something else
- 1:22Speaker 1: that I think is really important that we understand that.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Like I don't believe that he's in charge. I don't
- 1:31Speaker 1: believe that he's actually the president. I think he's president
- 1:36Speaker 1: name only. But who is running the government right now?
- 1:39Speaker 1: Because it is not this guy? And I think most
- 1:43Speaker 1: people would agree with me that he is not running
- 1:46Speaker 1: the country. So let's also just deal with that reality
- 1:50Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:51Speaker 1: In this interview, he was trying to explain that, hey,
- 1:56Speaker 1: I just had a bad night, I had a cold,
- 1:58Speaker 1: I was jetlagged from twelve fourteen days before the debate,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and I just got too tired.
- 2:04Speaker 2: And that's just the way that it is.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Okay, that was the goal here, That's what he was
- 2:09Speaker 1: trying to explain or solidify to the American people. It
- 2:15Speaker 1: did not go well because his answers, well, they were
- 2:18Speaker 1: pretty much terrible. I'm going to go through this even
- 2:22Speaker 1: in the first excerpt that ABC News put out, And
- 2:25Speaker 1: I also want to say something else. I saw a
- 2:27Speaker 1: lot of people online like, man, Georgepnopolis is not letting
- 2:30Speaker 1: out man. He's hard hitting tonight in this interview, do
- 2:34Speaker 1: not give him any credit and let me explain why
- 2:37Speaker 1: he was brought in to be a hit man for
- 2:39Speaker 1: the Democratic Party to take out Joe Biden in this interview.
- 2:43Speaker 1: He was there put there by the Democratic Party, by
- 2:48Speaker 1: the elite in Washington, by the donors right, because he
- 2:52Speaker 1: is a hardcore Democratic operative that masquerades as an ABC
- 2:55Speaker 1: News guy. Now he was Bill Clinton's guy, and they said,
- 3:00Speaker 1: with the final nails in the coffin, and that was
- 3:02Speaker 1: his objective in this interview. And you could tell from
- 3:06Speaker 1: the very beginning he had his marching orders. The Democratic Party,
- 3:11Speaker 1: the establishment, the money people, and everybody else in the
- 3:14Speaker 1: media were saying to George, go take out Joe Biden.
- 3:18Speaker 1: He was a hit man for the Democratic Party to
- 3:21Speaker 1: get rid of him, because at the end of the day,
- 3:23Speaker 1: the only thing this really is about is the Democrats
- 3:26Speaker 1: now believe that Joe Biden can't beat Donald Trump. And
- 3:30Speaker 1: since they believe that now since the last debate, they
- 3:34Speaker 1: want to get rid of Joe Biden, and they're turning
- 3:36Speaker 1: on him and they're all united against him because they
- 3:38Speaker 1: want him gone. Now can they stay this way through election?
- 3:42Speaker 1: They know there's about a two week window here for
- 3:45Speaker 1: them to get rid of him. If they don't then
- 3:46Speaker 1: they'll have to jump behind him and say, you know what,
- 3:48Speaker 1: he's doing much better, and you know what, he did
- 3:49Speaker 1: have a cold, and they'll go back to all the
- 3:51Speaker 1: lies they've been telling us for the last three years
- 3:53Speaker 1: about Joe Biden's cognitive decline. But right now the media
- 3:57Speaker 1: has turned on the president, clearly, the liberal media. They
- 4:02Speaker 1: want him gone. They want someone else because they don't
- 4:04Speaker 1: want to lose power. And I want you to listen
- 4:07Speaker 1: to this first question from George. This is the one
- 4:10Speaker 1: they released, and I want you to listen to Joe
- 4:13Speaker 1: Biden's excuses slash response.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Let's start with a debate.
- 4:19Speaker 4: You and your team have said you had a bad night,
- 4:22Speaker 4: but your friend Nancy Pelosi actually framed the question I
- 4:26Speaker 4: think is on.
- 4:26Speaker 3: The minds of millions of Americans.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Was this a bad episode with a sign of a
- 4:31Speaker 4: more serious condition.
- 4:33Speaker 5: It was a bad episode, no indication any serious condition.
- 4:37Speaker 5: I was exhausted. I did listen to my instincts in
- 4:42Speaker 5: terms of preparents and the bad nights.
- 4:45Speaker 4: You know, you say you were exhausted, and I know
- 4:47Speaker 4: you've said that before as well, but you came and
- 4:49Speaker 4: you did have a tough mind.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But you came home from Europe about eleven.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Or twelve days before the debate, spent six days in
- 4:56Speaker 4: Camp David.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Why wasn't that enough rest time, enough recovery?
- 5:00Speaker 5: Because I was sick. I was feeling terrible. As matter
- 5:02Speaker 5: of fact, the doc's with me, I asked him. They
- 5:04Speaker 5: did a COVID test. But you're trying to figure out
- 5:06Speaker 5: what's wrong. You did a test to see whether or
- 5:08Speaker 5: not I had some infection, you know, lirus.
- 5:12Speaker 6: I didn't. I just had a really bad cold.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Now you notice the language that was used there by
- 5:18Speaker 1: George Stepanopolis. This is language to take out the president.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Right?
- 5:21Speaker 1: Was your humiliating debate a bad episode or a sign
- 5:25Speaker 1: of a more serious condition? So now they're accusing the
- 5:28Speaker 1: president implying that he has dementia or Alzheimer's. Biden's response quote,
- 5:34Speaker 1: I was exhausted, ABC. Why wasn't your week holdaway at
- 5:37Speaker 1: Camp David enough rest time?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Biden? I just had a really bad cold.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Now there were some that would think at that moment, right,
- 5:45Speaker 1: all right, Well then Stepanopolis would kind of like let up.
- 5:48Speaker 1: He didn't why because his job was to take out
- 5:51Speaker 1: the president? Keep listening.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Did you ever watch the debate afterwards?
- 5:57Speaker 6: I don't think I didn't know.
- 6:00Speaker 1: That is the Joe Biden that everyone saw during debate
- 6:03Speaker 1: the other night. Not a hard question. Did you ever
- 6:06Speaker 1: watch the debate afterwards? Joe Biden? I don't think I did.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I don't think I did. You wouldn't know if you
- 6:17Speaker 1: watched the damn debate after the debate. Now, I want
- 6:22Speaker 1: to be clear, I don't think Joe Biden had to
- 6:23Speaker 1: watch the debate like he knew it was a disaster.
- 6:26Speaker 1: He knew it was a train wreck everybody around him.
- 6:28Speaker 1: You may go back and watch the debate again to
- 6:30Speaker 1: get ready for the next debate in theory right, and
- 6:32Speaker 1: see what mistakes you made, and not to take debate
- 6:34Speaker 1: or whatever it may be for planning purposes. But the
- 6:38Speaker 1: question was did you ever watch the debate after the debate?
- 6:44Speaker 1: Biden quote? I don't think I did. The fact that
- 6:48Speaker 1: he can't even remember if he did or didn't watch
- 6:51Speaker 1: the worst debate in political history after he did, it
- 6:54Speaker 1: tells you how far gone this guy is. And listen,
- 6:57Speaker 1: stepping off was again goes all in to take out by.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Well, don't try.
- 7:01Speaker 4: What I want to get at is what were you
- 7:03Speaker 4: experiencing as you were going through the debate.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Did you know how badly it was going?
- 7:07Speaker 5: Yeah, look the whole way I prepared nobody's fault of mind,
- 7:14Speaker 5: nobody's help of mind. I prepared what I usually would do,
- 7:20Speaker 5: sitting down as I did, come back foreign leaders or
- 7:23Speaker 5: the National Security Council.
- 7:26Speaker 6: For explicit details.
- 7:28Speaker 5: And I realized part way through that, you know, although
- 7:32Speaker 5: I get quoted The New York Times had me down
- 7:35Speaker 5: at ten points before the debate nine now or whatever
- 7:38Speaker 5: the hell it is, the fact of the matter is
- 7:41Speaker 5: that what I looked at is that he also lied
- 7:45Speaker 5: twenty eight times. I couldn't. I mean, the way the
- 7:48Speaker 5: debate ran not my fault. Nobody else is all. No
- 7:52Speaker 5: one else is all.
- 7:53Speaker 4: But it seemed like you were having trouble from the
- 7:55Speaker 4: first question in, even before he spoke, well, I just
- 8:00Speaker 4: had a bad night.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Well, I just had a bad night. So that is
- 8:05Speaker 2: the excuse.
- 8:06Speaker 1: They've clearly planned out that excuse, They've explained that excuse,
- 8:10Speaker 1: They've made it abundantly clear that that excuse is going
- 8:13Speaker 1: to be the excuse they're going to use the entire time. Right, Well,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I just had a bad night. I just had a
- 8:18Speaker 1: bad night. I just had a bad night. Is that
- 8:21Speaker 1: enough to turn it around. I don't think so. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: don't think that excuse is going to fly with the
- 8:28Speaker 1: American people. And then it got even worse for him
- 8:33Speaker 1: because there were other questions that he asked, and they
- 8:37Speaker 1: are ones that were not I got your questions, per se,
- 8:41Speaker 1: but there's certainly questions that the president couldn't answer.
- 8:44Speaker 4: For example, do you dispute that there have been more laughses,
- 8:48Speaker 4: especially in the last several months.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Can I run one hundred and ten flat?
- 8:53Speaker 7: No?
- 8:54Speaker 6: But I'm still in good shape.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Are you more frail?
- 8:58Speaker 6: No? I know you spoke at my schedule.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Come look at my schedule. So again, do you dispute
- 9:06Speaker 1: that there have been more lapses, especially in the last
- 9:08Speaker 1: several months, Biden, I'm still in good shape.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Are you more frail? Bien?
- 9:12Speaker 4: No?
- 9:12Speaker 1: And look, everybody watching this knows he's more frail. George
- 9:16Speaker 1: Spinopolis knows it. The only difference is they've been lying
- 9:19Speaker 1: to you about how frail he's been for years, and
- 9:22Speaker 1: now they want to get rid of him because they
- 9:24Speaker 1: think he's going to lose to Trump. So this is again,
- 9:27Speaker 1: don't give credit to George Sepanopolis for actually asking tough
- 9:30Speaker 1: questions and not backing down. He was given marching orders
- 9:34Speaker 1: to the Democratic Party and the machine go take out
- 9:38Speaker 1: the president of the United States of America, and he
- 9:40Speaker 1: tried his damnedest to do it.
- 9:41Speaker 3: So you spoke with your doctor after the debate. What
- 9:43Speaker 3: did he say?
- 9:45Speaker 6: He said, he just looked at me. He said, you're exhausted.
- 9:50Speaker 5: I said, I am medical doctor's child. We everywhere every
- 9:54Speaker 5: president knows that. You know, medical doctors some of the
- 9:57Speaker 5: best in the world.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Child.
- 9:58Speaker 5: We everywhere I go, I have an ongoing assessment of
- 10:03Speaker 5: what I'm doing. They don't hesitate to tell me if
- 10:05Speaker 5: they think they'reself the wrong.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I don't believe this, and I don't think anyone else does.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Biden says his doctor quote just looked at him after
- 10:14Speaker 1: this humiliating debate performance and said, you're exhausted. He spent
- 10:18Speaker 1: an entire week hold up at Camp David, resting and
- 10:21Speaker 1: preparing for the debate. And now he wants you to
- 10:24Speaker 1: believe that the problem was jetlag and a cold. Now,
- 10:29Speaker 1: the President got away with some generic answers early on Stepanopolis,
- 10:34Speaker 1: And again, don't give him credit because he was sent
- 10:37Speaker 1: to do this interview to take out Joe Biden by
- 10:39Speaker 1: the Democratic Party. And then he was started to really
- 10:42Speaker 1: ask about mental capacity, and have you had neurological tests
- 10:47Speaker 1: that were done? Have you had a cognitive evaluation for
- 10:50Speaker 1: a full using words like Republicans have been using and
- 10:54Speaker 1: Donald trumpan using words like quote full neurological and cognitive evaluation?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Mister president, the president say listen, I.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Know you say you have an ongoing assistant.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Have you had a full neurological and cognitive evaluation?
- 11:07Speaker 5: I get a full neurological test every day with me,
- 11:12Speaker 5: and I've had a full physical I had, you know,
- 11:16Speaker 5: I mean I've been able to read through my physicals.
- 11:20Speaker 6: I mean, yes, answers.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I know he's lying, right.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Biden admits he has not had a full neurological and
- 11:28Speaker 1: cognitive evaluation. He says he has one every day. No,
- 11:30Speaker 1: he doesn't. Now if he's taken one, they've hidden it.
- 11:34Speaker 1: They certainly haven't given to the American people like they
- 11:38Speaker 1: certainly haven't told us. And we deserve to know this.
- 11:42Speaker 1: And that's why stepping up what is saying this because
- 11:45Speaker 1: he knows he can't answer the question. So then ABC
- 11:48Speaker 1: News moves on to this, Well, look like, can you
- 11:50Speaker 1: be effective right what we're watching right? Now is someone
- 11:54Speaker 1: that's not effective, right, So let's ask the question and
- 11:57Speaker 1: listen to the response from Biden, which literally doesn't make
- 12:03Speaker 1: sense when he claims that he's quote the guy that
- 12:06Speaker 1: shut down Vladimir Putin. Vladimir Putin is invading Ukraine. He's
- 12:10Speaker 1: not shut him down at all.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Elections are about the future, not the past. They're about
- 12:15Speaker 3: tomorrow night.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yesterday, And the question on so many people's minds right
- 12:19Speaker 4: now is can you serve effectively for the next four years.
- 12:23Speaker 8: George, I'm the guy that put NATO together the future.
- 12:28Speaker 8: No one thought they could expand it. I'm the guy
- 12:30Speaker 8: that shut Putin down no one thought could happen. I'm
- 12:33Speaker 8: the guy that put together the South Pacific Initiative with Alcus.
- 12:39Speaker 8: I'm the guy that got fifty nations not only in Europe,
- 12:43Speaker 8: outside of Europe as well to help Ukraine. I'm the
- 12:46Speaker 8: guy that got Japanese to expand their budget. So I mean,
- 12:52Speaker 8: for example, when I decided we used to have forty
- 12:55Speaker 8: percent of.
- 12:56Speaker 6: The computer chip and we invented the chip, that little
- 12:58Speaker 6: chip in the computer.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Chip, I mean, this is not an answer to the question.
- 13:05Speaker 1: It's not even close to an answer to the question.
- 13:08Speaker 1: That was asked, and the question that was asked he
- 13:11Speaker 1: did not answer. There was no solid answers from the
- 13:16Speaker 1: present there. I'm the guy who's shut down Putin, Like,
- 13:20Speaker 1: what world are you living in? You haven't shut down
- 13:23Speaker 1: Vladimir Putin. And then the other question he went back
- 13:27Speaker 1: to afterwards, and the question was, all right, are the
- 13:30Speaker 1: American people going to get to actually see any medical
- 13:33Speaker 1: records on you? Are you going to take a medical evaluation,
- 13:37Speaker 1: an independent cognitive, you know, evaluation, so that that the
- 13:40Speaker 1: American people don't have to just trust you and the
- 13:43Speaker 1: White House who's been lying to us about your condition
- 13:46Speaker 1: listen to the President refused to say the American people, yes,
- 13:49Speaker 1: you can see that.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yes, I'll do it.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Would you be willing to undergo an independent medical evaluation
- 13:55Speaker 4: that included neurological and cognitive cognitive tests.
- 13:58Speaker 3: And release the results to the American people?
- 14:00Speaker 6: Look, I have a cognitive test every single day. Every
- 14:05Speaker 6: day I have that test.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I mean again, he says the same thing he said
- 14:09Speaker 1: earlier lying to the American people. He also was asked
- 14:15Speaker 1: about the reality of the polling data. Hey, mister President,
- 14:18Speaker 1: your polling numbers are dismal. We've never seen somebody be
- 14:22Speaker 1: elected with a thirty what is it six percent approval rating?
- 14:25Speaker 1: Like this is really bad? What did Joe Biden say
- 14:28Speaker 1: in response to that? To George Spanopolis, Listen, it's been.
- 14:31Speaker 4: A two man race for several months. Inflation has come
- 14:35Speaker 4: down in those last few months. He's become a convicted felon. Yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 4: you're still falling further behind you.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Guys keep saying that, George, do you look, do you know,
- 14:44Speaker 5: pulling better than anybody?
- 14:46Speaker 6: Do you think polling data as accurate as it used
- 14:48Speaker 6: to be?
- 14:48Speaker 4: I don't think so, But I think when you look
- 14:50Speaker 4: at all of the polling data right now, it shows
- 14:53Speaker 4: that he's certainly ahead in the popular vote, probably even
- 14:57Speaker 4: more ahead in the battleground states. The other key factors
- 15:01Speaker 4: there is it shows that in many of the battleground states,
- 15:05Speaker 4: the Democrats who are running for cent in the House
- 15:07Speaker 4: are doing better than you are.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Well, that's not unusual in some states.
- 15:12Speaker 5: But carried an alf a lot of Democrats last time
- 15:14Speaker 5: I ran in twenty twenty. Look, I remember them telling
- 15:18Speaker 5: me the same thing in twenty twenty. I can't win.
- 15:20Speaker 5: The poll show I can't win. Remember twenty twenty four,
- 15:23Speaker 5: twenty twenty the red way was coming before the vote.
- 15:27Speaker 5: I said, that's not going to happen. We're going to win.
- 15:30Speaker 5: We did better in off throw than almost any income
- 15:33Speaker 5: a president ever has done.
- 15:36Speaker 2: This is the host.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Why are you so behind President Trump? Do you think
- 15:42Speaker 1: that polling that is accurate? Well, President Trump is certainly ahead.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Biden then basically brain malfunctions and is confused and then
- 15:52Speaker 1: starts talking about other issues that have nothing to do
- 15:54Speaker 1: with that. Joe Biden's claiming he's not behind in the race.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Everyone knows he's behind the race.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Do you really believe you're not behind right now? I
- 16:04Speaker 5: think it's all pulsters I talked to tell me it's
- 16:07Speaker 5: a toss up. It's a toss up. And when I'm behind,
- 16:11Speaker 5: there's only one poll I'm really far behind. CBS poll
- 16:15Speaker 5: and NBC, I mean, excuse me, and.
- 16:19Speaker 6: New York Times.
- 16:19Speaker 4: In NBC both you have you about six points behind
- 16:22Speaker 4: in the popular vote.
- 16:23Speaker 6: That's exactly right.
- 16:24Speaker 5: New York Times had me behind before anything happened to
- 16:27Speaker 5: do with this race, had me behind behind ten points,
- 16:32Speaker 5: ten points had me behind, not this chase of chases
- 16:35Speaker 5: in the debate.
- 16:36Speaker 1: So, in other words, don't believe you're lying eyes yet again,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I'm not behind the race. Why well, my polling data
- 16:42Speaker 1: tells me you're wrong, and I don't believe your your polls.
- 16:46Speaker 1: And then George Stepanopps tries to even help him there,
- 16:50Speaker 1: rescue him a little bit, right, say well, it's actually
- 16:52Speaker 1: when he can't remember where the other poll came from,
- 16:55Speaker 1: stepping off was in step tent Is like, yeah, it's
- 16:57Speaker 1: New York Times, mister President, like he was actually I
- 16:59Speaker 1: think he felt bad for him, And then he insists
- 17:02Speaker 1: his humiliating debate performance didn't negatively impact him. He's looking
- 17:09Speaker 1: at George Epanopolis and telling George my debate did not
- 17:13Speaker 1: affect the polls at all.
- 17:14Speaker 2: That is insane.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Biden also claimed that he brought down inflation, which was
- 17:22Speaker 1: a perfect one point four percent when Joe Biden took office,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and they let him get away with this lie on ABC, Listen,
- 17:31Speaker 1: how do.
- 17:31Speaker 4: You respond to critics who say that by staying in
- 17:33Speaker 4: the race, you're doing the same thing?
- 17:36Speaker 6: Oh come on, well, I don't think those critics know
- 17:39Speaker 6: what they're talking about.
- 17:41Speaker 3: They're just wrong.
- 17:42Speaker 6: It's wrong.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Look, Trump is a pathological liar.
- 17:48Speaker 6: Trump is he is.
- 17:53Speaker 5: Have you never seen anything Trump did the benefit of
- 17:55Speaker 5: somebody else, not him.
- 17:58Speaker 4: You can't answer right now, questioned him in his allies
- 18:01Speaker 4: as persistently as any journalist.
- 18:03Speaker 6: Well, I know you have. I'm not being critical.
- 18:05Speaker 5: I'm not being critical, but look, I mean, the man
- 18:13Speaker 5: is a congenital liar, as I said. They pointed out
- 18:17Speaker 5: in that debated life twenty seven, twenty eight times, the
- 18:20Speaker 5: Times or whatever number over twenty times talk about how
- 18:24Speaker 5: as good as economy was, how he brought down inflation,
- 18:27Speaker 5: and how this is a guy who, unlike only other
- 18:30Speaker 5: presidents of other than him, and it's Hoover, lost more
- 18:32Speaker 5: jobs than he created. This is the guy told us
- 18:35Speaker 5: some completion in our arms to deal with COVID, but
- 18:38Speaker 5: over million people died.
- 18:40Speaker 2: By the way.
- 18:40Speaker 1: He didn't actually say that, but who cares, right? Joe
- 18:43Speaker 1: Biden claims that President Trump was lying about how he
- 18:46Speaker 1: brought down inflation, which was a one point four percent
- 18:50Speaker 1: when Biden took office, and then won't answer the question
- 18:53Speaker 1: about how bad things are now, right. He also, Joe
- 18:58Speaker 1: Biden says everyone is telling him to stand the race.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Well that's just a lie as well, But this is
- 19:03Speaker 1: a deranged individual, not everyone's telling to stand the race.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Gearge Epanopolis is telling him to get out, right, Nancy
- 19:10Speaker 1: Pelosi is telling him to get out. Democratic donors are
- 19:12Speaker 1: telling me to get out. Op eds are telling him
- 19:14Speaker 1: to get it, get out. I mean, this is so
- 19:18Speaker 1: bad right now that you actually have the Economists that
- 19:21Speaker 1: says why Biden must withdraw the president and is party
- 19:25Speaker 1: portrayed themselves the saviors of democracy? Their actions say otherwise.
- 19:29Speaker 1: They have the presidential seal on the front of a walker.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Even the front of the Economists magazine says, quote, no
- 19:38Speaker 1: way to run a country with the walker with the
- 19:42Speaker 1: seal on it. Then they put out a tweet and
- 19:45Speaker 1: it says the president of debate was awful for Joe Biden,
- 19:47Speaker 1: but the cover up has been worse. The dishonesty of
- 19:50Speaker 1: his campaign provokes contempt. He must withdraw. All of the
- 19:55Speaker 1: media's turned on him. Okay, all of the media has
- 20:01Speaker 1: turned on him. They're not trying to save him. They
- 20:03Speaker 1: know they have a short window to get him out,
- 20:05Speaker 1: and that's what they're moving to do.
- 20:08Speaker 2: And when Joe.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Biden's asked about all of the things that are happening,
- 20:11Speaker 1: like hey, should you even stay in the race? Right
- 20:13Speaker 1: Like He's like everyone's telling me say the race. That's
- 20:15Speaker 1: a lie. Everyone's telling you to get out of the race.
- 20:17Speaker 1: So that's why you're having to do this interview with George.
- 20:20Speaker 4: I mean, at a more practical level, Washington Pulls just
- 20:22Speaker 4: reported in the last hour that Senator Mark Warner is
- 20:26Speaker 4: assembling a group of senators together to try and convince
- 20:29Speaker 4: you to stand down because they don't think you can win.
- 20:32Speaker 6: Well, Mark is a good man. We've never had that.
- 20:35Speaker 5: He also tried to get the nomination to Mark'snott. Mark
- 20:39Speaker 5: and I have a different perspective. I respect him.
- 20:43Speaker 4: And if Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries and Nancy Pelosi
- 20:48Speaker 4: come down and say we're worried that if you stay
- 20:51Speaker 4: in the race, we're going to lose the house in
- 20:52Speaker 4: the Senate, how will you respond.
- 20:55Speaker 6: I've go into detail with them.
- 20:56Speaker 5: I've speaking of all of them in detail, including Jim Klein,
- 21:01Speaker 5: every one of them.
- 21:01Speaker 6: They all said I should stay in the race. Stay
- 21:05Speaker 6: in the race. No one said. None of the people
- 21:06Speaker 6: said I should leave it.
- 21:07Speaker 4: But if they do, well, I'm not.
- 21:12Speaker 6: Going to do that. You sure, well, yeah, I'm sure.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Look, I mean, if the Lord of Money came out
- 21:19Speaker 5: and said Joe get out of the race. I got
- 21:21Speaker 5: out the race, and Lord of Money's not coming down.
- 21:23Speaker 1: So he apparently knows God well enough to know that
- 21:26Speaker 1: God's like coming down to tell him to get out
- 21:27Speaker 1: of the race. I go back to what I said
- 21:29Speaker 1: at the very beginning, he doesn't have a plan. In fact,
- 21:36Speaker 1: we know he didn't have a plan, and he answered
- 21:38Speaker 1: this question for ABC News about the plan for his
- 21:41Speaker 1: campaign forget the country. He didn't have a plan for
- 21:44Speaker 1: how to get out of that's just Hey, I'm going
- 21:45Speaker 1: to do some more events. I guess I'm not dropping out.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I'm the guy.
- 21:52Speaker 3: What's your plan to turn the campaign around?
- 21:55Speaker 5: I saw today? How many how many feature do you
- 22:00Speaker 5: draw crowds?
- 22:00Speaker 3: Like I?
- 22:00Speaker 6: Drin die if I'm any.
- 22:03Speaker 5: More enthusiastics through today.
- 22:06Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think you want to play the
- 22:07Speaker 3: crowd game. Donald Trump can draw a big crowds, There's
- 22:09Speaker 3: no question about that.
- 22:10Speaker 6: And you' you can draw a big crowd. But what
- 22:12Speaker 6: does he saying? Who's he have? I'm the guy supposedly
- 22:16Speaker 6: in trouble.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I don't think this interview helped. I don't think it
- 22:21Speaker 1: did anything to make anything better. I don't think it's
- 22:24Speaker 1: gonna make Democrats say, Okay, calm down. I think you've
- 22:28Speaker 1: got another two weeks of a full court press to
- 22:30Speaker 1: get him out. And I think the Democrats are going
- 22:33Speaker 1: to keep writing these articles. They're going to keep calling
- 22:39Speaker 1: for him to step aside. I think you're going to
- 22:42Speaker 1: see so many different people say that he should step aside.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I think you're going to see them say it over
- 22:48Speaker 1: and over and over and over and over again. And
- 22:52Speaker 1: they're gonna do this for about two weeks now. In
- 22:55Speaker 1: two weeks, if he's still standing and they haven't gotten
- 22:59Speaker 1: him out, then I think they'll shut up a little
- 23:02Speaker 1: bit and go all right, we're stuck with him, right.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I think you're going to see people like Kamala Harris,
- 23:07Speaker 1: for example, who are going to do nothing to help him.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I think she knows she's second in line, like it's
- 23:14Speaker 1: hers to basically have if he walks away, because she's
- 23:18Speaker 1: the only one that can keep the money in the
- 23:19Speaker 1: campaign war chest. And I think that's an important point
- 23:22Speaker 1: aspect of this conversation. So you notice we hadn't seen
- 23:27Speaker 1: a lot of her. She's been real quiet. I think
- 23:31Speaker 1: that's on purpose. I think that's done deliberately by her.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I think she understands that this may be her opportunity
- 23:40Speaker 1: to become the president of the United States of America.
- 23:43Speaker 1: And so everyone around him right now that knows the
- 23:47Speaker 1: polls are real and understands how bad the polls are
- 23:52Speaker 1: for him, they're going to sit there and try to
- 23:55Speaker 1: destroy him and undermine him. You're going to see them
- 23:57Speaker 1: do to him over the next fourteen days what they
- 24:00Speaker 1: did during the entire four years of Donald Trump's presidency.
- 24:04Speaker 1: And if he can survive it, and there's a very
- 24:07Speaker 1: good chance that he can, let's be clear about that,
- 24:10Speaker 1: then what he's going to do is he's going to say, Okay,
- 24:12Speaker 1: I'm still the guy, I'm still standing, I'm still here.
- 24:14Speaker 2: You can't get rid of me.
- 24:16Speaker 1: And they will all get right back behind him, and
- 24:19Speaker 1: they will tell you that things are getting better. They
- 24:21Speaker 1: will tell you that things are looking up. They will
- 24:23Speaker 1: tell you that things aren't that bad. That's what they're
- 24:26Speaker 1: going to do. The big question that everybody is asking
- 24:30Speaker 1: is is Joe Biden going home? Is he going to
- 24:34Speaker 1: go back to Delaware? Is he going to just drop
- 24:39Speaker 1: out of the race. I want to be clear, I
- 24:41Speaker 1: don't think he's going to drop out. There's a lot
- 24:43Speaker 1: of reporting right now saying that the President is thinking
- 24:46Speaker 1: about dropping out. The Democrats are saying he's got to
- 24:52Speaker 1: drop out. They're losing their minds on TV. The media
- 24:55Speaker 1: is united against him getting out. The Democratic leadership is
- 24:59Speaker 1: united behind getting out. And Biden met with Democratic governors
- 25:03Speaker 1: and the polls show that he is slipping in his support.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Now.
- 25:06Speaker 1: President Biden huddled with a group of more than twenty
- 25:09Speaker 1: Democratic governors in an attempt to stabilize a standing among
- 25:13Speaker 1: his party's leaders. All right, the President was said to
- 25:17Speaker 1: be mowing the future of his candidcy with key allies,
- 25:20Speaker 1: and a new poll show that Donald Trump had a
- 25:23Speaker 1: widen lead over Joe Biden after the debate disaster. Donald
- 25:29Speaker 1: Trump now leads President Biden forty nine to forty three
- 25:33Speaker 1: percent among likely voters Nationally. A new poll shows I
- 25:37Speaker 1: don't care about national polls that much because, yes, it
- 25:40Speaker 1: shows your trend, but it is a meany thing because
- 25:42Speaker 1: this all comes down to the electoral college.
- 25:45Speaker 2: So I look at swing states.
- 25:46Speaker 1: What I know right now is the President of the
- 25:48Speaker 1: United States of America, Joe Biden is behind Donald Trump
- 25:51Speaker 1: in every single swing state. Now in Michigan, Joe Biden
- 25:56Speaker 1: sought to reassure Democrats that her husband was up to
- 25:59Speaker 1: the job.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Not all there were convinced either.
- 26:02Speaker 1: As we are going through this, as they're trying to
- 26:06Speaker 1: convince everybody before July fourth holiday that everything is going
- 26:09Speaker 1: to be just fine. Congressional Democrats have also now become
- 26:13Speaker 1: cautious when defending President Biden's ability to serve and also
- 26:18Speaker 1: win reelection because they're afraid, because all of them on
- 26:21Speaker 1: the House side are up for reelection right every two years,
- 26:25Speaker 1: they're afraid that Joe Biden may make them lose some
- 26:27Speaker 1: of their seats. And then the question is who would
- 26:30Speaker 1: be the front runner right now if Joe Biden does
- 26:33Speaker 1: step aside. I think it's no doubt right now that
- 26:37Speaker 1: the front runner is Kama Harris. Why because she's the
- 26:40Speaker 1: only one that could actually use the money that's been
- 26:42Speaker 1: raised for the Biden Harris campaign, and it seems very
- 26:46Speaker 1: problematic for someone to come in with no war chests
- 26:49Speaker 1: and have to start it at zero. Kama Harris would
- 26:52Speaker 1: start with the same amount of money that is in
- 26:54Speaker 1: their bank account right now. Harris is also growing the
- 26:59Speaker 1: support on social media among Democrats because I think they
- 27:03Speaker 1: also understand that the campaign is up and running. They
- 27:07Speaker 1: don't have to start something new and they don't have
- 27:09Speaker 1: to start raising money from scratch. So you combine all
- 27:12Speaker 1: of those things. And yes, there's a lot going on.
- 27:16Speaker 1: But let me let you hear what Tim walt said.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Tim Waltz, governor walking out of this meeting at the
- 27:22Speaker 1: White House about eight o'clock on July third, and this
- 27:26Speaker 1: is what he said to the American people.
- 27:31Speaker 9: Yes, for office president, three and a half, three and
- 27:34Speaker 9: a half years of delivering for us, going through what
- 27:36Speaker 9: we've all been through. None of us are denying Thursday
- 27:39Speaker 9: night was a bad performance. It was a bad Uh,
- 27:43Speaker 9: it was a bad hit, if you will on that.
- 27:45Speaker 9: But it doesn't impact what I believe he's delivering.
- 27:55Speaker 10: No, I always say this. In November, we've got a
- 27:58Speaker 10: clear choice. The President was very clear that he is
- 28:01Speaker 10: in this to winness, and the president is going to
- 28:04Speaker 10: if president is our nominee, the president is our party leader.
- 28:07Speaker 10: And the President has told us and he was very
- 28:09Speaker 10: clear back there that he is in this to witness.
- 28:11Speaker 10: And so for people, I would say and listen, we're governors.
- 28:14Speaker 10: We don't do handering. That's not what we do. Governor's
- 28:17Speaker 10: work and get things done. Governor says, tell me the objective,
- 28:21Speaker 10: and we're going to make sure that we accomplish the objective.
- 28:23Speaker 2: And so for people.
- 28:24Speaker 10: Who who who are who are concerned, I just want
- 28:27Speaker 10: to be very clear on something. And come November, we've
- 28:29Speaker 10: got a binary choice, and the binary choices between someone
- 28:32Speaker 10: who has continually delivered for us in our states and
- 28:35Speaker 10: the people of our states, and frankly, someone who's vision
- 28:38Speaker 10: for the future of this country is downright dangerous. And
- 28:42Speaker 10: so I would tell people it is time to mount up,
- 28:45Speaker 10: and it is time to get serious and understands this.
- 28:55Speaker 10: Did the President explain that his debt to you on
- 28:59Speaker 10: Thursday night understand the state?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah he did, he said, Look he did.
- 29:03Speaker 6: He didn't listen to himself.
- 29:04Speaker 11: But I thought he gave a great example when he said, look,
- 29:07Speaker 11: I'm worrying about numbers on this. It's about people, It's
- 29:09Speaker 11: about their lives. This is Joe fram Scranton. He talks
- 29:12Speaker 11: about building the middle class. He did it, he delivered.
- 29:14Speaker 11: And I think this idea that you get in your
- 29:16Speaker 11: own head, you get a little bit cycled up on that.
- 29:18Speaker 11: What we saw him there today was.
- 29:20Speaker 9: A guy who was the guy that all of us
- 29:21Speaker 9: believed in the first time who could beat Donald Trump,
- 29:23Speaker 9: and did beat Donald Trump.
- 29:25Speaker 2: With that thank you, and they rushed off.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Now those Democratic governors that went before that microphone are
- 29:35Speaker 1: saying in a very united front, he is still our guy.
- 29:39Speaker 1: On TV, however, the Democrats on TV are saying something
- 29:42Speaker 1: very very different. We have a second House Democrat that
- 29:46Speaker 1: is now calling on Biden to drop out of the
- 29:48Speaker 1: twenty twenty four race publicly. Then a third came forward,
- 29:52Speaker 1: Representative Moulton, saying, I have grave concerns that Biden can
- 29:57Speaker 1: beat Trump.
- 29:58Speaker 2: So it's not even about that Kaigna decline.
- 30:00Speaker 1: It's about, hey, if this guy's gonna lose, he may
- 30:04Speaker 1: make some of us lose. So we're going to bail
- 30:06Speaker 1: on him selfishly because now we no longer like him.
- 30:10Speaker 2: And I want you to hear what CNN said.
- 30:13Speaker 1: A bunch of Democrats on there and they're talking about this.
- 30:17Speaker 12: Listen, thoughts are because I've heard that message for months,
- 30:21Speaker 12: right that look at the record, and if he just
- 30:23Speaker 12: articulates the record, that will show in the numbers.
- 30:26Speaker 2: But it hasn't.
- 30:27Speaker 12: It hasn't shown in the numbers, and those numbers are
- 30:30Speaker 12: getting worse. And he didn't show an ability to make
- 30:33Speaker 12: that case aggressively in the debate. So I wonder where
- 30:37Speaker 12: that leaves us in your view.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Look, I just going to be honest.
- 30:41Speaker 13: I mean, everybody comes on the air and says all
- 30:43Speaker 13: this great stuff, but behind the scenes it's.
- 30:44Speaker 2: A full skill panic.
- 30:46Speaker 13: People are passing around legal memos, PDFs with flying back
- 30:51Speaker 13: and forth on WhatsApp trying to figure out what are
- 30:54Speaker 13: the options. How can you replace Biden? How do you
- 30:57Speaker 13: get him to do it in a way where he
- 30:58Speaker 13: feels respected? If he should be respected, who should Kamala
- 31:01Speaker 13: Harris's vice president be. The conversation on air and the
- 31:05Speaker 13: conversation off air are completely different. And so it's the
- 31:09Speaker 13: same thing with you saw with the Trump situation where
- 31:11Speaker 13: people would come on air and defend Trump and then
- 31:13Speaker 13: you talk to people and then we got a crazy candidate.
- 31:16Speaker 13: We don't have a crazy candidate. We have a great candidate.
- 31:18Speaker 13: We have a beautiful man. We have someone who loves
- 31:20Speaker 13: this country. We have someone who has given his all,
- 31:23Speaker 13: I mean his all to the last drop for this country.
- 31:26Speaker 13: But he may not be able to get across the
- 31:27Speaker 13: finish line. And a mature party has to take that
- 31:30Speaker 13: into account, and that is what's happening. And so look,
- 31:33Speaker 13: I understand that people want to, you know, defend him
- 31:37Speaker 13: and protect him and give him their space and the
- 31:38Speaker 13: dignity to make his own choice. But there is a
- 31:41Speaker 13: big conversation happening right now about how this happens, not weather.
- 31:46Speaker 2: How this happens not weather.
- 31:48Speaker 1: You notice how now, all of a sudden this has
- 31:50Speaker 1: started to really change the dynamic.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Here.
- 31:53Speaker 2: They're saying, I want to get rid of.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Him, and I want to get rid of him right now,
- 32:00Speaker 1: and he has to understand that it's time for us
- 32:02Speaker 1: to get rid of him, and we need him to
- 32:04Speaker 1: go away, and we need him to do it in
- 32:06Speaker 1: a responsible manner, and we're going to push him. Then
- 32:09Speaker 1: you have those the White House who are saying, well,
- 32:12Speaker 1: maybe he doesn't need to go, maybe it's too hard.
- 32:15Speaker 1: And then the question is does Harris. If Harris is
- 32:17Speaker 1: the one that's going to get everything right, like all
- 32:20Speaker 1: the money, and she becomes a candidate, does she have
- 32:23Speaker 1: a better chance against Donald Trump? That is a fair
- 32:26Speaker 1: question that also needs to be asked now. By the way,
- 32:30Speaker 1: on a side note, the White House is not helping Okay,
- 32:33Speaker 1: the White House is not doing a very good job
- 32:36Speaker 1: of helping at all.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Right now, when they're asked.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Basic questions, Listen to White House Press Secretary being asked
- 32:43Speaker 1: about the new excuse that Joe Biden suffered from jet
- 32:46Speaker 1: lag and that's why he didn't do well at the
- 32:49Speaker 1: last debate.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 32:53Speaker 14: There's no question that international travel can be rigorous. I
- 32:55Speaker 14: think the confusion is that he's still suffering from the
- 32:58Speaker 14: effects of that nearly two weeks later. So I can
- 33:02Speaker 14: you articulate a little bit about, like, do you guys
- 33:05Speaker 14: can usually have accommodations for him after he does a
- 33:07Speaker 14: trip that he's going to have jet lag for that
- 33:10Speaker 14: long a period of time.
- 33:12Speaker 2: So can you can you when you say two weeks later,
- 33:14Speaker 2: what do you mean the debate?
- 33:15Speaker 14: He arrives back in the United States twelve or thirteen
- 33:18Speaker 14: days before the debate, So his explanation for a four
- 33:21Speaker 14: debate performance is jetlag.
- 33:23Speaker 7: So what I want to say is it's the jet
- 33:26Speaker 7: lag and also the cold, right. It is the two things,
- 33:30Speaker 7: and that occurred, and you all heard it in his
- 33:34Speaker 7: voice when he did the debate, right, And it is
- 33:37Speaker 7: not even something that we shared ahead of time. You
- 33:39Speaker 7: heard it in his voice and we confirmed it. And
- 33:42Speaker 7: I think that's important to note as well, like it
- 33:44Speaker 7: is the jet lag and the cold. But I want
- 33:47Speaker 7: to be really I want to be really clearer. This
- 33:49Speaker 7: is not an excuse, right, This is not an excuse.
- 33:52Speaker 7: You all asked for an explanation, and we get we're
- 33:54Speaker 7: giving it an explanation.
- 33:55Speaker 2: It is not an excuse.
- 33:57Speaker 7: I don't want that to be the leading piece of
- 34:00Speaker 7: this ask for the only reason we're sharing this because
- 34:03Speaker 7: it was asked of me here and the President certainly
- 34:05Speaker 7: wanted to give an explanation himself, and that's what he
- 34:08Speaker 7: did yesterday.
- 34:09Speaker 2: We want to We.
- 34:11Speaker 7: Understand that it wasn't his best night. It wasn't a
- 34:14Speaker 7: great debate. We understand that, and we understand what supporters saw,
- 34:19Speaker 7: what the American people saw, and what you all saw,
- 34:21Speaker 7: and so we wanted to give an explanation. So I
- 34:24Speaker 7: don't want to get into this or are you giving
- 34:26Speaker 7: this excuse that excuse. We're giving you what our explanation was.
- 34:31Speaker 7: We want to continue to make sure that we do
- 34:35Speaker 7: everything that we can to deliver for the American people.
- 34:38Speaker 6: That's what we're going to continue to do.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I mean, this is one of those when you just
- 34:43Speaker 2: got to laugh.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Joe Biden they're saying, the reason why I had a
- 34:47Speaker 1: bad debate is because he suffered from jet lag, and
- 34:49Speaker 1: that would have been fourteen days before the debate.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Two weeks before the debate.
- 34:53Speaker 1: They're saying, we had jet lag, and so therefore that's
- 34:57Speaker 1: why I had a bad night is because of the
- 35:00Speaker 1: jet lag from two weeks prior vacation.
- 35:05Speaker 2: But we're not making excuses.
- 35:07Speaker 1: If I was Joe Biden, by the way, i'd be
- 35:09Speaker 1: firing the White House Press secretary right now because she's
- 35:12Speaker 1: only making you look like you're more incompetent. Make sure
- 35:16Speaker 1: you share this podcast with your family and friends, please,
- 35:19Speaker 1: because a lot of what I just played for you're
- 35:20Speaker 1: not going to hear on the news.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And I'll see you back here tomorrow
