County renews invasive weed grant

The Box Elder County Commission approved an ,500 grant agreement May 27 to help fund efforts to monitor and control invasive weeds throughout the county. Box Elder County Weed Department Supervisor Wyatt Freeze said the funding comes through the Utah Weed Supervisors Association and has been awarded to the county annually for about a decade. The grant reimburses weed-control activities during the 2026 calendar year.
