- 0:01Speaker 1: Israel on defense now as they are losing clearly their
- 0:05Speaker 1: biggest ally, the United States of America. Headlines now coming
- 0:09Speaker 1: out from leakers in the White House, and this is
- 0:12Speaker 1: don Purpose saying that Biden is warning Israel you better
- 0:17Speaker 1: be careful.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not warning Iran.
- 0:20Speaker 1: He is warning Israel on a retaliatory strike after Iran
- 0:24Speaker 1: went into an all out war posture with a massive
- 0:28Speaker 1: aerial assault on Israel. Now, this coming from ABC News
- 0:35Speaker 1: US to Israel, if you strike back at Iran, you
- 0:38Speaker 1: will do it alone. That is what US military apparently
- 0:42Speaker 1: has been told from the White House.
- 0:44Speaker 2: ABC News reporting it this way.
- 0:46Speaker 1: As Israel on Monday wait its response to RAN's stunning
- 0:50Speaker 1: attack this weekend, the US is privately telling officials there,
- 0:54Speaker 1: if Israel strikes back militarily, it will do so alone.
- 0:57Speaker 2: It's an unusual message for a.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Close ally that spent decades receiving more US military aid
- 1:03Speaker 1: than any other country in the world, and whose relationship
- 1:06Speaker 1: with America is often described as ironclad. But once Joe
- 1:11Speaker 1: Biden got into office, all of that changed. And after
- 1:14Speaker 1: months of Israel acting on its own in Gaza and
- 1:18Speaker 1: facing tough criticism from the US, specifically Joe Biden and
- 1:23Speaker 1: his White House and other allies that its military operations
- 1:26Speaker 1: have quote gone too far. The Biden administration made it
- 1:29Speaker 1: clear on Monday that the US wouldn't participate in offensive
- 1:33Speaker 1: military operations against Iran, fearing a broader war in the
- 1:37Speaker 1: Middle East. Now, obviously Iran is saying, great, we can
- 1:41Speaker 1: now do whatever the hell we want to do because
- 1:43Speaker 1: we know that America is not in the fight, and
- 1:46Speaker 1: America will not get in the fight, so we can
- 1:48Speaker 1: attack Israel and we can have the biggest attack on
- 1:51Speaker 1: Israel that has happened in my lifetime. That's why there
- 1:55Speaker 1: calculus is this way. The other thing that's shocking is
- 1:58Speaker 1: how much power Iran has now. As many of you know,
- 2:02Speaker 1: if you listen to this show yesterday, I laid it
- 2:05Speaker 1: out for you. Iran has their hands on billions and
- 2:08Speaker 1: billions of dollars in money that is specifically coming in
- 2:14Speaker 1: from their oil sales, which are supposed to be basically
- 2:20Speaker 1: sanctioned right now. But America is not enforcing the sanctions.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Now, why is America not enforcing the sanctions?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Because we have a weak present that doesn't mind Iran
- 2:28Speaker 1: being apparently powerful and taking taking basically orders from Iran,
- 2:33Speaker 1: the same country that chants death to America, the same
- 2:35Speaker 1: country that's attacking American soldiers in the Middle East, the
- 2:38Speaker 1: same country that was responsible for more roadside bombs that
- 2:42Speaker 1: killed American soldiers when we were in Iraq and Afghanistan
- 2:45Speaker 1: than any other country in the world. That's Iran. Iran
- 2:49Speaker 1: has made it clear they want to wipe out every
- 2:51Speaker 1: Jew in the world from the river to the sea.
- 2:53Speaker 1: They want to get rid of Israel, and they chant
- 2:55Speaker 1: regularly death to America. And what is our president doing
- 2:58Speaker 1: not a damn thing to stay them from gaining power,
- 3:01Speaker 1: including a nuclear weapon.
- 3:03Speaker 2: We also gave.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Billions of dollars in access to funds that have been frozen,
- 3:07Speaker 1: and we warned that those dollars were going to be
- 3:10Speaker 1: spent to support terrorism because Iran is very actually easy
- 3:14Speaker 1: to control. They're actually a really simple country to gain
- 3:18Speaker 1: the upper hand on because they have one thing, oil
- 3:21Speaker 1: and if you put sanctions on that oil, it crushes
- 3:24Speaker 1: their economy. And when their economy is crushed, the Iatola
- 3:27Speaker 1: nose and everybody there knows, Okay, we can't really be
- 3:30Speaker 1: involved in a lot of terrorism right now for the
- 3:32Speaker 1: reason that.
- 3:32Speaker 2: We don't have a lot of money.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Let me tell you quickly about my friends over at
- 3:37Speaker 1: ammos squared. If you are like me and you want
- 3:39Speaker 1: to make sure that you have AMMO no matter what
- 3:42Speaker 1: happens in the world, no matter what happens in the
- 3:45Speaker 1: with pricing, no matter what happens with a run on ammunition.
- 3:49Speaker 2: We all witness this during COVID.
- 3:51Speaker 1: AMMO Square is there to help you stay stocked up
- 3:54Speaker 1: on ammunition automatically at rock bottom pricing. AMMO is actually
- 3:58Speaker 1: delivered to you onto or automatically when you need it,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and they store your AMMO as it stocks up for
- 4:04Speaker 1: free when you don't found it more than eight years ago.
- 4:08Speaker 1: In the freedom loving state of Idaho, AMMO Squared is
- 4:10Speaker 1: truly automated, set it, forget it.
- 4:12Speaker 2: AMMO purchasing.
- 4:14Speaker 1: You can look at it like an investment account if
- 4:16Speaker 1: you want to, or a retirement account, and you can
- 4:19Speaker 1: keep that AMO growing for a rainy day, or you
- 4:22Speaker 1: can sell it back if price is surge and you
- 4:24Speaker 1: don't need it all. You pick your caliber, you set
- 4:27Speaker 1: your budget, you slept a shipping trigger, and that's it.
- 4:30Speaker 1: AMMO builds up and is delivered when you decide you
- 4:33Speaker 1: want it. Over sixty different calibers that choose from ammo
- 4:37Speaker 1: squared is there to help you smooth out the rough
- 4:39Speaker 1: spots of ammunition availability. It is literally like an AMO
- 4:42Speaker 1: four one K or AMO savings account. Save up AMMO
- 4:46Speaker 1: for that rainy day, or store it when the shelves
- 4:48Speaker 1: go empty, or sell it back, whatever you want to do.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It's up to you and it's easy.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Go to amosquared dot com slash ben ammosquared dot com
- 4:59Speaker 1: slash been to sign up, and on top of that,
- 5:02Speaker 1: you're going to get free AMO in your account today.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Amosquared dot com slash been to sign up and get
- 5:07Speaker 1: free AMO in your account today.
- 5:10Speaker 2: So now they have their flesh with money.
- 5:12Speaker 1: They're flushed with oil sales or flesh with billions of
- 5:15Speaker 1: barrels of oil going out and hundreds of billions of
- 5:17Speaker 1: dollars coming into Iran. And that is exactly why they're
- 5:21Speaker 1: able to do.
- 5:21Speaker 2: What they're doing right now.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Fox News is Peter Doucy asked the White House today,
- 5:26Speaker 1: Scott Kirby at the White House, like, Hey, when are
- 5:29Speaker 1: we going to hear something different from this White House?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Because obviously the words to Iran that you guys have
- 5:36Speaker 1: been using are not working to stop them from trying
- 5:39Speaker 1: to kill Americans and also kill Israelis.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Listen, and as prison.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Biden considered maybe beefing up the public Iran posture to
- 5:48Speaker 3: be more than.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Just one word you're referring to. Don't. Yeah, and so
- 5:53Speaker 4: let's talk about and they did it anyway, And let's
- 5:56Speaker 4: talk about what we did, Peter, Let's talk about don't
- 5:59Speaker 4: and did. Let's talk about Saturday night.
- 6:02Speaker 5: He's made it clear that he didn't want to see
- 6:05Speaker 5: escalation in the region. When we had an inkling that
- 6:07Speaker 5: this kind of thing was coming, he added even more
- 6:09Speaker 5: military resources to the region, more destroyers that were capable
- 6:13Speaker 5: of shooting down ballistic missiles, fighters, fighter squadron that was
- 6:16Speaker 5: able to shoot down drums.
- 6:18Speaker 4: And that's what we did.
- 6:20Speaker 1: So there you go, right, So the President says don't.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Then he tells Israel you better not respond. If you do,
- 6:27Speaker 1: you're going to be going alone. That's not all why
- 6:31Speaker 1: House Press Secretary Jean Pierre thanks to Biden. She says,
- 6:34Speaker 1: it's cheaper to get gas than it was a year ago,
- 6:38Speaker 1: trying to act like nothing's happening in the Middle East
- 6:40Speaker 1: right now, and gas prices aren't you going up? And
- 6:43Speaker 1: by the way, they are higher now than they were
- 6:45Speaker 1: a year ago. They are again lying to you. Also,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Scott Kirby was asked about unfreezing billions of dollars so
- 6:53Speaker 1: that the Iranian leader could do exactly what I and
- 6:55Speaker 1: many other conservatives warned you about that if you give
- 6:58Speaker 1: them billions of dollars, they're going to use it for terrorism,
- 7:00Speaker 1: which is exactly what they did.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Listen to this, How do.
- 7:03Speaker 3: We know that the Iranians do not listen to President
- 7:05Speaker 3: Biden's public warnings? Is there any regret here about unfreezing
- 7:09Speaker 3: billions of dollars for Iranian leaders during the president's administry?
- 7:15Speaker 4: What unfreezing are you talking about? He unfrozen billions of
- 7:18Speaker 4: dollars Imian leaders? I don't think so. Okay, So, first
- 7:23Speaker 4: of all, it's for humanitarian purposes. But doesn't that but
- 7:26Speaker 4: you don't believe me, Well, it doesn't.
- 7:28Speaker 3: That free up money for them to spend on other stuff.
- 7:30Speaker 3: But where do you get the money for an unprecedented
- 7:32Speaker 3: number of munitions to fire at Israel?
- 7:34Speaker 5: So first of all, I'm betting if they're sitting in
- 7:38Speaker 5: Tehran they're taking it seriously.
- 7:39Speaker 4: When President Biden says he's going to defend Israel.
- 7:42Speaker 5: We put skin in the game, a whole heck of
- 7:44Speaker 5: a lot of it, and knocked almost everything out of
- 7:46Speaker 5: the sky.
- 7:47Speaker 4: So I'm betting they're taking it pretty seriously.
- 7:50Speaker 5: And as for this this unfreezing, none of that fund
- 7:54Speaker 5: none of those funds, funds set up in an account,
- 7:57Speaker 5: by the way, by the previous administration, goes directly to
- 8:00Speaker 5: the Supreme Leader of the IRGC can only be.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Used for humanitarian purposes.
- 8:04Speaker 5: And we're watching that account very very closely to make
- 8:06Speaker 5: sure that that's what happens.
- 8:09Speaker 1: So to be clear, this White House says, no, they're
- 8:13Speaker 1: not really doing that. Sure they are, that's exactly what
- 8:16Speaker 1: they're doing. But they're going to look at you straight
- 8:18Speaker 1: in the face. They're gonna say, no, that's not really
- 8:21Speaker 1: what's happening here. And he mocks the question. Really, there's
- 8:25Speaker 1: not billions of dollars. Now we know there is.
- 8:27Speaker 2: We know the money went to Iran's leaders.
- 8:30Speaker 1: We know that it freed up dollars for RAND to
- 8:32Speaker 1: be able to do what they just did, and we
- 8:34Speaker 1: know that they had the ability to have this unprecedented
- 8:37Speaker 1: aerial assault, whether it be missiles or drone attacks because
- 8:42Speaker 1: of the money that they're making. And we're also not
- 8:45Speaker 1: enforcing the sanctions on Iranian oil. Now, where are they
- 8:48Speaker 1: selling that oil to? By the way, is also another
- 8:50Speaker 1: part of this. They're selling it to China. Now we
- 8:52Speaker 1: know that they're selling it to China, and we know
- 8:54Speaker 1: that the boats are leaving Iran, and we know that
- 8:56Speaker 1: money it's going to China, and China's happy to buy
- 8:59Speaker 1: their oil because they actually get a discount. Okay, they
- 9:02Speaker 1: get a discount because it's black market.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Oil, so they get to buy it on the cheap.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Now is that ten percent off for thirty percent off?
- 9:10Speaker 2: We don't know. But what we do know.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Is that that this president of the United States of
- 9:16Speaker 1: America has deliberately not enforced, okay, the sanctions on Iran,
- 9:23Speaker 1: which brings us back to the double standard here.
- 9:26Speaker 2: We're letting Iran literally get away with murder. We're letting
- 9:29Speaker 2: Iran get.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Away with trying to commit what is what is basically
- 9:33Speaker 1: a genocide. It's Iran has made it clear they want
- 9:36Speaker 1: to kill every Jew. That's their goal, that's our objective,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that's what they're trying to accomplish here, and yet we
- 9:42Speaker 1: hold them not accountable for anything they're doing in Iran.
- 9:45Speaker 2: But by golly, we are going to pote.
- 9:47Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna hold Israel accountable if they respond
- 9:51Speaker 1: in a way that we believe is quote too heavy handed.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Scott Kirby was asked about the Biden administration. Hey, would
- 9:57Speaker 1: the Biden administration be opposed to a stand and alone
- 10:00Speaker 1: bill on aid for Israel? The reason why that, questions asked,
- 10:04Speaker 1: is because Democrats voted against.
- 10:07Speaker 2: The emergency aid military aid for Israel.
- 10:10Speaker 1: They all voted in essence against it to stop it.
- 10:13Speaker 2: That's going to come.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Back up for a vote again, I'm sure this week
- 10:16Speaker 1: in Congress.
- 10:17Speaker 2: So what does the White House have to say about that?
- 10:19Speaker 6: Listen, carefully opposed to a standalone a bill that would
- 10:25Speaker 6: just work on Israel as we've seen proposed, We would
- 10:28Speaker 6: oppose a standalone bill.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Yes, Why why would you oppose a standalone bill for
- 10:34Speaker 1: Israel funding?
- 10:36Speaker 2: I can tell you exactly why.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Because you don't want Israel to win and you don't
- 10:41Speaker 1: actually support Israel. The only reason why you wouldn't come out,
- 10:46Speaker 1: okay and say yes, we are in favor of a bill,
- 10:51Speaker 1: a stand alone bill to support Israel. Yes, they need
- 10:53Speaker 1: it right now. They don't need to be caught up
- 10:54Speaker 1: in our politics in this country. It's a national security issue.
- 10:57Speaker 1: They're one of our allies. Is because you are actually
- 11:00Speaker 1: anti Israel, and the White House is anti Israel, and
- 11:03Speaker 1: everybody around this White House is anti Israel.
- 11:06Speaker 2: They hate Jews.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I say it because it's the truth, and we need
- 11:10Speaker 1: to keep reminding people that is the truth.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Okay, that is the truth. Michael Moore, by the way, hardcore.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Lefty, you may remember from some I think it was
- 11:20Speaker 1: Columbine movie that he did. Michael Moore actually warned Joe
- 11:25Speaker 1: Biden and here's how he put it. He warned Joe
- 11:28Speaker 1: Biden that Joe Biden would become Hillary Clinton two point
- 11:33Speaker 1: zero if he continues to support Israel, which explains the
- 11:39Speaker 1: foreign policy the Biden administration his team are saying. Look,
- 11:43Speaker 1: there's too many young wacko liberals out here, socialists and
- 11:46Speaker 1: communists that you.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Need to vote for you.
- 11:50Speaker 1: If you alienate them by supporting Israel, you're gonna lose
- 11:53Speaker 1: this upcoming president's election.
- 11:55Speaker 2: It's that simple. So screw the Jews. I gotta get real.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Take a listen to Michael Moore again. He is the extremists,
- 12:04Speaker 1: He's the socialist he's the communist. He is an extremist
- 12:08Speaker 1: in the Democratic Party, has been for thirty years. And
- 12:11Speaker 1: he's warning Joe Biden, if you stand with Israel, it's
- 12:14Speaker 1: going to cost you the White House and your reelection.
- 12:18Speaker 7: We could end this, President Biden, you could end this. Now,
- 12:22Speaker 7: you know what's wrong. I know you know what's wrong,
- 12:26Speaker 7: and I know I sound like a broken record, and
- 12:28Speaker 7: I know that you know that you're going to lose
- 12:30Speaker 7: the selection in part because too many people are going
- 12:34Speaker 7: to stay home. They're not going to vote for Trump.
- 12:36Speaker 7: They're not going to switch their vote from you to Trump. No,
- 12:39Speaker 7: that is not how this is going to play out.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Is what happened to Hillary and Michigan. She lost by
- 12:45Speaker 7: two votes per precinct two for the whole state.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Two.
- 12:50Speaker 7: And that's what's going to happen to you. There are
- 12:55Speaker 7: hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of young people between
- 12:59Speaker 7: the ages of eighteen and thirty, probably thirty five, maybe
- 13:05Speaker 7: even forty young people don't want war. Why well, why
- 13:11Speaker 7: don't they like war? Because they're the ones usually sent
- 13:16Speaker 7: to go and die in the war. And so no,
- 13:20Speaker 7: they don't support it, and they don't support you. And
- 13:22Speaker 7: now they're sick of you, sick of what you've been doing,
- 13:27Speaker 7: and you can't see it. I know you've got good
- 13:31Speaker 7: people working for you, your aides, people in the White House.
- 13:34Speaker 7: They must have said something to you that you've got
- 13:37Speaker 7: to kind of bring this to an end and then
- 13:40Speaker 7: make reparations to build those homes back for those people
- 13:44Speaker 7: and get them some food and drinking water. I usually
- 13:48Speaker 7: record these podcasts on Sunday. You go to mass every Sunday.
- 13:52Speaker 7: Do you understand that murder is a sin? Maybe the
- 13:57Speaker 7: worst sin?
- 14:00Speaker 1: You listen to Michael Moore and people go, why do
- 14:02Speaker 1: you play Michael Moore? I'll take exactly why. Because you
- 14:04Speaker 1: need to know your enemy and what they are and
- 14:06Speaker 1: what they believe in, and you need to understand that
- 14:09Speaker 1: this is what is driving the decisions at this White House.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I think for far too long we isolated viewpoints of
- 14:17Speaker 1: the left that we didn't want to hear because like,
- 14:19Speaker 1: well they're stupid idiots, yes, but you need to understand
- 14:22Speaker 1: what they're saying and what they believe and what their
- 14:26Speaker 1: whole game plan is. You study your adversary to know
- 14:30Speaker 1: what they're about and how they react and how they act.
- 14:32Speaker 1: So this is why the White House is hanging Israel
- 14:36Speaker 1: out to dry because of socialists and communists and Marxists
- 14:41Speaker 1: like Michael Moore who are warning this White House you're
- 14:44Speaker 1: going to lose the election unless you do what we
- 14:46Speaker 1: tell you to do, which is to take your hand
- 14:48Speaker 1: off of Israel because.
- 14:49Speaker 2: We hate the Jews.
- 14:51Speaker 1: All right, Before I continue with this, I want to
- 14:54Speaker 1: tell you about my friends over at Freedom Gold. And
- 14:56Speaker 1: if you are like me and you are worried about
- 15:00Speaker 1: your financial future and protecting your hard earned dollars, you
- 15:04Speaker 1: need to do what so many are doing around the world,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and that is turning to gold and silver as a
- 15:09Speaker 1: hedge against inflation and the much higher consumer prices we're
- 15:14Speaker 1: dealing with right now. You need a financial plan that
- 15:17Speaker 1: ensures that you the money you save today will be
- 15:20Speaker 1: enough for you tomorrow. And that's where gold and silver
- 15:23Speaker 1: come in. Gold and silver have historically been amazing hedges

- 16:54Speaker 2: We want a de escalation.
- 16:55Speaker 1: We don't want a war with a Ran, Okay, we
- 16:58Speaker 1: don't want any war with the Ran Israel good Ian
- 17:00Speaker 1: and that's why they're saying to Israel, it's on you, Israel,
- 17:03Speaker 1: not to respond to Iran.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Just say, you know what happened twenty four hours ago.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Those that were told they could speak on the record
- 17:12Speaker 1: for the White House, but of course without their names
- 17:15Speaker 1: being used, right, there was like ten people the White House.
- 17:17Speaker 1: They sent out to the media and said, hey, this
- 17:19Speaker 1: is what we're thinking. This is it that you can
- 17:20Speaker 1: get me as this is on the record, and senior
- 17:22Speaker 1: person at the White House, but you can't use my name, YadA, YadA.
- 17:25Speaker 1: What their message was was this, Hey, Israel, yes, they
- 17:30Speaker 1: fired hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of rockets at you,
- 17:33Speaker 1: and they used hundreds and hundreds of drones, you know,
- 17:35Speaker 1: three hundred plus total, and.
- 17:38Speaker 2: These cruise missiles and everything else. But the good news
- 17:40Speaker 2: is like only one kid died from shrapnel. So take
- 17:44Speaker 2: that as a success.
- 17:46Speaker 1: And that is your response, is that you were successful
- 17:49Speaker 1: in them not killing a whole lot of you this time,
- 17:51Speaker 1: even though they killed a whole lot of you on
- 17:53Speaker 1: the day they attacked you back in October.
- 17:54Speaker 2: But move past that, Israel.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Just look at this as a victory and then don't
- 18:01Speaker 1: respond anymore because you just had a victory in stopping
- 18:04Speaker 1: the attack. That is the White House's official position because
- 18:08Speaker 1: they're more obsessed.
- 18:09Speaker 2: And this goes back. This is so much like Jimmy Carter.
- 18:12Speaker 1: It's unbelievable when you look at Jimmy Carter, Right, Jimmy
- 18:16Speaker 1: Carter was like, I.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Don't want to be in any war. I don't want
- 18:17Speaker 2: to get in a war. I don't want to get
- 18:18Speaker 2: in a war with Iran. I'm gonna be weak. I'm
- 18:20Speaker 2: gonna be weak. And what did Iran do? Then?
- 18:22Speaker 1: They held American hostages for over a year. They took
- 18:27Speaker 1: our embassy and they took them in and women in there,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and they held them for over a year. And then
- 18:33Speaker 1: as soon as Ronald Reagan, who said, go ahead, I
- 18:35Speaker 1: dare you right, come after me and watch what happens.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I dare you come after me and see what happens.
- 18:45Speaker 2: You don't let those hostages go. It is game on.
- 18:47Speaker 1: In the day that he was inaugurated, what'd they do?
- 18:53Speaker 1: We got our hostages back. Yeah, the hostages came back.
- 18:58Speaker 1: That's what happened. And now we have a president that
- 19:01Speaker 1: is taking orders. I should say from terrace. We are
- 19:06Speaker 1: owned right now like we've never been owned before by China.
- 19:10Speaker 1: We have never been owned before like we have by
- 19:13Speaker 1: places like Russia, and we've never been owned like we
- 19:15Speaker 1: are being owned right now by smaller countries like Mexico
- 19:21Speaker 1: with all the illegals coming across and now Iran. Listen
- 19:24Speaker 1: to Scott Kirby, he's not obsessed with defending or attacking
- 19:29Speaker 1: or fighting back. Answeranda, No, he's all about the escalation.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Let aurand be in charge.
- 19:34Speaker 8: Thank you very much for coming on. So, Israel's war
- 19:37Speaker 8: cabinets meeting again right now.
- 19:39Speaker 4: They have said that.
- 19:40Speaker 8: They will exact a price from Iran. Does President Biden
- 19:44Speaker 8: support Israel retaliating now after the Iran attack, Well.
- 19:49Speaker 9: We respect that that's a decision the War Cabinet and
- 19:51Speaker 9: the Prime Minister have to make, and we know that
- 19:54Speaker 9: they live in a very tough neighborhood. The President believes
- 19:56Speaker 9: that what happened Saturday night was an extraordinarylitary success and
- 20:01Speaker 9: that it proved Israel is not alone, and it proved
- 20:04Speaker 9: that Israel has a military superiority it can be proud of,
- 20:08Speaker 9: and that they ought to think about what that success.
- 20:11Speaker 9: So the message that that sends to Iran and to
- 20:13Speaker 9: the region itself, He's also been very clear Kate that
- 20:16Speaker 9: we don't want a war with Iran. We don't seek
- 20:19Speaker 9: to widen and broaden this conflict. We don't want to
- 20:21Speaker 9: see things escalate. As a matter of fact, what we
- 20:23Speaker 9: want to do is see things de escalate, and defending
- 20:26Speaker 9: Israel the way we help do on Saturday should have
- 20:29Speaker 9: that effect.
- 20:30Speaker 8: I mean, you talk about de escalating. So is it
- 20:32Speaker 8: the position of the Biden administration that Israel should not
- 20:35Speaker 8: retaliate on Iran or Iranian territory.
- 20:38Speaker 9: Now again, that's a decision that only Prime Minister Yahoo
- 20:43Speaker 9: in the War Cabinet can make. I mean again, we
- 20:45Speaker 9: respect their sovereign decision making process. What we want to
- 20:50Speaker 9: see is de escalation of the tensions. We don't want
- 20:52Speaker 9: to see a wider war. And everything the President's been doing,
- 20:55Speaker 9: including putting US forces in the fight Saturday night to
- 20:59Speaker 9: defend Israel, which I think is the first time it's
- 21:00Speaker 9: ever been done, has been to de escalate, to take
- 21:03Speaker 9: the tensions down, to put resources in the region, to
- 21:06Speaker 9: send a strong signal to anybody who might actaymical to
- 21:10Speaker 9: our interests or the interest of our allies and partners,
- 21:12Speaker 9: that it's unacceptable, that sounds like how you treat your
- 21:16Speaker 9: close ally and ironclad friendship that you have with Israel.
- 21:21Speaker 1: No, that's what you talk like when you're dealing with
- 21:24Speaker 1: a country that basically you don't have a lot of
- 21:26Speaker 1: respect for and you certainly don't have a lot of
- 21:30Speaker 1: support that you want to give them.
- 21:33Speaker 2: What you're also.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Doing is you're setting a precedent that we care more
- 21:37Speaker 1: about a fundamental idea of not being at war, so
- 21:39Speaker 1: other people are allowed to attack, and then you don't
- 21:41Speaker 1: categorize it a war as long as we don't respond
- 21:44Speaker 1: to the attack. This goes back to Afghanistan, and this
- 21:49Speaker 1: is when the world understood.
- 21:50Speaker 2: The bad guys in the world understood they can do
- 21:52Speaker 2: whatever the hell they want to do in the world
- 21:53Speaker 2: right now.
- 21:55Speaker 1: If the calculus comes in that America would have to
- 21:57Speaker 1: get involved to stop them, whether it's China and Taiwan,
- 22:02Speaker 1: whether it is Russia and Ukraine, or whether it's a
- 22:06Speaker 1: ran in the Middle East. And this could easily get.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Outside of just Israel very quickly.
- 22:13Speaker 1: When we were in Afghanistan and the president picked an
- 22:16Speaker 1: arbitrary date in a anniversary of nine to eleven to
- 22:19Speaker 1: get us out so it can have a grand standing.
- 22:22Speaker 1: You know, all of a sudden moment where he's like,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I ended America's longest war. See how great I am.
- 22:28Speaker 1: He didn't care how many Americans died. Joe Biden was
- 22:32Speaker 1: told by somebody that were as bad young people don't
- 22:35Speaker 1: like it.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Get out of this war in Afghanistan.
- 22:37Speaker 1: You can put it on your resume that you're the
- 22:39Speaker 1: guy that ended the longest American war in history, and
- 22:41Speaker 1: everybody will love you.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And people died because of that decision. And then we.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Started taking orders from the Taliban, and then they killed
- 22:49Speaker 1: American troops and we didn't respond, and we got out
- 22:52Speaker 1: on their timeline instead of our own timeline, which put
- 22:55Speaker 1: countless people that helped Americans, translators and others at risk.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Many of them were beheaded, many of them were shot
- 23:02Speaker 1: and dragged in the streets. Their family members were raped
- 23:04Speaker 1: and beaten and murdered, and all because the president wanted
- 23:08Speaker 1: a certain day in time, September the eleventh, we're gonna
- 23:12Speaker 1: say I got us out of Afghanistan. That is the
- 23:14Speaker 1: moment when Iran and all these other countries and all
- 23:17Speaker 1: these other bad people in the world realize we can
- 23:20Speaker 1: do whatever we want. Let me say one another thing,
- 23:24Speaker 1: about Israel real quick, which is important.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Israel has the right to defend itself.
- 23:29Speaker 1: And what I know is is if America had three
- 23:32Speaker 1: hundred rockets, ballistic missiles and drones coming across our border,
- 23:36Speaker 1: we would unleash holy hell on the people that did it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I have no doubt in my mind even I even.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Believe that Joe Biden would do that, because he would
- 23:42Speaker 1: know that he had to.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I expect there to be a stern response from Israel.
- 23:47Speaker 2: In fact, I would expect nothing less because its exactly
- 23:49Speaker 2: what America would do.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And the part that irritates me the most about this
- 23:54Speaker 1: White House is they're acting like Israel should somehow bow
- 23:57Speaker 1: to the international pressure and not defend itself. Like you
- 24:00Speaker 1: come into my house, guns ablazing. I'm coming after you,
- 24:05Speaker 1: guns a blazing. I'm not gonna sit there and be like, Okay, hey,
- 24:08Speaker 1: put you, Hey, don't break in my house again, Okay,
- 24:10Speaker 1: like you'd be nice to me, like I'm trying to
- 24:13Speaker 1: de escalate this thing. No, I'm coming after you with
- 24:17Speaker 1: every bit of firepower that I have. And that's exactly
- 24:21Speaker 1: what any country should do in this moment.
- 24:24Speaker 2: But there's two things right now.
- 24:25Speaker 1: They're playing to the advantage of the Biden administration's policy.
- 24:28Speaker 1: One he believes he's gaining votes by being anti Israel,
- 24:33Speaker 1: and that's clear Michael Moore's I played for you earlier.
- 24:36Speaker 2: That's what they believe, and believe them when they this
- 24:39Speaker 2: is how fundamental and how radical they are.
- 24:41Speaker 1: They hate Jews, Okay, they're They're anti Semitic, full stop.
- 24:45Speaker 1: But the other thing that's giving them cover right now
- 24:47Speaker 1: is the fact that the media is not even covering
- 24:49Speaker 1: the war and this attack on Israel because they've got
- 24:51Speaker 1: Donald Trump to talk about, and Donald Trump is everything.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I'll give you an example.
- 24:56Speaker 1: MSNBC had a moment this afternoon that was disgusting.
- 25:02Speaker 2: It on TV.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Trump on Trial, Now break In, Now break in Trump's
- 25:08Speaker 1: historic hush money trial, which which is not really historic.
- 25:12Speaker 1: The hush money trial's a joke because Stormy Daniels put
- 25:16Speaker 1: out a queer statement that she was not paid hush money.
- 25:20Speaker 1: She was never paid hush money. It's her own words,
- 25:22Speaker 1: she signed it. It's there, you can find it. I
- 25:24Speaker 1: put it up on social media. That's her words. But
- 25:27Speaker 1: it doesn't matter because Alvin Bragg has made how much money?
- 25:31Speaker 1: How much money is Alvin Bragg made by going after
- 25:33Speaker 1: Donald Trump. He has raised literally millions of dollars. Millions
- 25:42Speaker 1: of dollars. Alvin Bragg is an individual that said vote
- 25:46Speaker 1: for me, I'll go after Trump, and he's done it. Okay,
- 25:49Speaker 1: he's paid off on that, Like, he's made good on
- 25:53Speaker 1: that promise number one and number two, he's making an
- 25:57Speaker 1: incredible amount of money off of this, the amount of
- 26:01Speaker 1: cash that Alvin Bragg has brought in. In fact, he's
- 26:03Speaker 1: raised about a million dollars. This came out today, over
- 26:08Speaker 1: about a million dollars since he indicted Donald Trump alone
- 26:11Speaker 1: and raised money before that on saying he was going.
- 26:14Speaker 2: To go after Donald Trump.
- 26:16Speaker 1: So this is a seven figure indictment. I didn't think
- 26:22Speaker 1: we were supposed to live in a world where you
- 26:24Speaker 1: could run for office and raise money off of indicting
- 26:28Speaker 1: political opponents.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Like that happens in third world countries.
- 26:32Speaker 1: That happens in places that I would never want to
- 26:36Speaker 1: even visit, much less live. And Alvin Bragg has made
- 26:40Speaker 1: it clear he's making a living off of a going
- 26:43Speaker 1: after his political opponents.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Hey, vote for me and I'll go after Trump.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Hey, now that I'm going after Trump and I've indicted Trump,
- 26:49Speaker 1: and I'm teking him on a sham trial. I need
- 26:51Speaker 1: your help, I need your support, And he's raised a
- 26:54Speaker 1: million bucks because he indicted his political opponent. I thought
- 27:00Speaker 1: that lawyers were supposed to have some sort of like
- 27:02Speaker 1: code of conduct and ethics. There's just to be you know,
- 27:05Speaker 1: above reproach with this stuff like where's the where's the bar?
- 27:09Speaker 2: Right?
- 27:10Speaker 1: How does this guy stay of his law license when
- 27:12Speaker 1: he's actually running on the idea that hey, regardless of
- 27:14Speaker 1: the facts, I'm indicting him, vote for me, and I'm
- 27:17Speaker 1: indicting my political opponent, Donald Trump right the other side,
- 27:20Speaker 1: vote for me. All right, Now that I've indicted him,
- 27:22Speaker 1: I needed your money. Give me a million dollars, and
- 27:24Speaker 1: I'll keep going after my political opponents, the people that.
- 27:26Speaker 2: You hate like that, I.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Would assume that that's got to be some sort of
- 27:30Speaker 1: violation of your of your oath.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Is a is a lawyer? Is a is a a
- 27:34Speaker 2: person of the court? Haha? No, not not New York apparently.
- 27:40Speaker 1: So we've got wall to wall coverage, which is helping
- 27:43Speaker 1: Joe Biden because people aren't having to deal with watching
- 27:46Speaker 1: what's really happening in Israel. And now you've got these
- 27:49Speaker 1: people on TV that are saying things, for example, like
- 27:53Speaker 1: our founding fathers would be in dismay if they saw
- 27:57Speaker 1: Trump today.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Listen to this on him, as.
- 28:01Speaker 10: We've been noting that this is the first time in
- 28:03Speaker 10: American history that a former president is on trial, and
- 28:07Speaker 10: Donald Trump is also challenging that very premise with his
- 28:10Speaker 10: upcoming Supreme Court case, arguing that he should have immunity,
- 28:14Speaker 10: that it is unconstitutional for him to be on trial
- 28:16Speaker 10: at all. But this is not only a test of
- 28:18Speaker 10: the American legal system, is also a test of constitutional democracy.
- 28:23Speaker 10: Joining me now is Michael Beschlass NBC, his presidential historian,
- 28:27Speaker 10: and John Neachum historian and the Rogers Distinguished Professor at
- 28:30Speaker 10: Vandebolt University. So glad to talk to both of you.
- 28:34Speaker 10: And of course John is also the author of the
- 28:36Speaker 10: book and there was Light Abraham Lincoln and the American Struggle. So, Michael, Freshiew,
- 28:43Speaker 10: what do you see as at stake in terms of
- 28:47Speaker 10: the history, in the way this trial is conducted, in
- 28:51Speaker 10: the way the way it turns out.
- 28:55Speaker 11: Well, let's have a very brief and I promise brief
- 28:57Speaker 11: visit to our founders in seventeen eighty seven writing the Constitution.
- 29:02Speaker 11: I think they felt that they had created a political
- 29:05Speaker 11: system that would choose people as presidents who were not
- 29:08Speaker 11: too likely to have been to be accused of criminal conduct.
- 29:13Speaker 2: I think that's safe.
- 29:14Speaker 11: So if they came back in twenty twenty four, the
- 29:18Speaker 11: first thing they would say, I think is, you know,
- 29:21Speaker 11: our system did not work.
- 29:22Speaker 2: What happened.
- 29:24Speaker 11: But you know, you were talking a little bit earlier,
- 29:26Speaker 11: Andrea and also the others were as well, you know,
- 29:29Speaker 11: have we seen anything like this in history? And actually
- 29:31Speaker 11: we have in nineteen seventy two. Richard Nixon as president
- 29:35Speaker 11: June in nineteen seventy two, on that famous tape, probably
- 29:39Speaker 11: obstructed justice and did so to keep damaging information out
- 29:45Speaker 11: of the minds the knowledge of the public so that
- 29:48Speaker 11: he could be sure to win election as president in
- 29:51Speaker 11: nineteen seventy two. That has a parallel here Nixon when
- 29:56Speaker 11: he quit in nineteen seventy four because of this thought
- 29:59Speaker 11: he was going to jail. And I think we should
- 30:02Speaker 11: say that if Gerald Ford had not pardoned him, Nixon
- 30:05Speaker 11: probably would have been put on criminal trial, and most
- 30:09Speaker 11: legal experts think that he would have been convicted and
- 30:11Speaker 11: sent to jail. So the point is that this has
- 30:14Speaker 11: happened before. But what should we say if people just
- 30:19Speaker 11: say there's something wrong with our system, this is a
- 30:22Speaker 11: setup for Donald Trump. You know, the problem is not
- 30:25Speaker 11: with him, it's with the system. That's something that people
- 30:28Speaker 11: did not say about Nixon in nineteen seventy four.
- 30:31Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Our founding, our founders writing the Constitution would say, quote,
- 30:36Speaker 1: our system did not work. If they saw Trump today,
- 30:41Speaker 1: our system did not work.
- 30:42Speaker 2: What happened?
- 30:44Speaker 1: That is the propaganda wall to wall on TV as
- 30:48Speaker 1: we speak. They're out there totally obsessed with this and
- 30:53Speaker 1: they want to lock up Okay, they want to lock
- 30:57Speaker 1: up the president of the United States of America.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And it's all because they hate his politics.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Okay, that's that's it, folks, that's.
- 31:06Speaker 2: The whole thing.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Former Trump attorney cracks up Jake Tapper by mimicking potential
- 31:13Speaker 1: juror with Irish accent who said she despised Trump. This
- 31:17Speaker 1: is this is part of what they're doing on TV.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Listen.
- 31:20Speaker 12: So obviously Manhattan, Ish and the surrounding Burroughs are not
- 31:26Speaker 12: exactly known as being a ground zero.
- 31:29Speaker 2: For support of Donald Trump.
- 31:31Speaker 12: What's the best way to make sure you get a
- 31:33Speaker 12: fair jury for a Republican president in a largely democratic city.
- 31:39Speaker 13: Well, Jake, here's the problem with what you just said.
- 31:43Speaker 13: Most people, I think the way even you phrased it,
- 31:46Speaker 13: Manhattan and the surrounding burrows. You know, the bronx, the
- 31:50Speaker 13: Staten Island, Queens, Brooklyn.
- 31:52Speaker 4: People think that's where you pull from, but you don't.
- 31:54Speaker 13: When the Manhattan d eight files charges, you only pick
- 31:59Speaker 13: from the island of Manhattan. So you know, you need
- 32:02Speaker 13: that cop from Staten Island, you need that firefighter from
- 32:05Speaker 13: Queens to kind of balance things out. But your subset
- 32:08Speaker 13: is the island of Manhattan. And I just can tell
- 32:11Speaker 13: you my personal experience was that that's not a great
- 32:15Speaker 13: demographic in this case, my thoughts from having done it once.
- 32:20Speaker 12: So how given I appreciate the correction I did, You're right,
- 32:23Speaker 12: I did think that Staton Island to be part of it.
- 32:26Speaker 12: Stateton Island obviously went for Trump, the only borough to
- 32:29Speaker 12: do so in the twenty twenty election. So given the
- 32:32Speaker 12: limitations of Manhattan, how do you do it? How do
- 32:35Speaker 12: you find a fair jury?
- 32:37Speaker 13: Well, I'll tell you, Jake, when we were doing it,
- 32:40Speaker 13: and Judge bart Shawn is a very serious man, he's
- 32:44Speaker 13: very smart, he's extremely courteous. I mean, I'm not getting
- 32:48Speaker 13: into people's biases or prejudice.
- 32:50Speaker 4: I'm not qualified to do that.
- 32:52Speaker 13: I can tell you having spent seven weeks with the man,
- 32:54Speaker 13: he's a gentleman and he gave us as much time
- 32:57Speaker 13: as we needed. However, you know, he wanted to get
- 32:59Speaker 13: a jury, so we had a lady b I'm.
- 33:01Speaker 12: Sorry interrupt the person just for one second.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I apologize.
- 33:05Speaker 12: We're just showing the first very image of Donald Trump
- 33:07Speaker 12: from inside the courtroom.
- 33:08Speaker 2: It's a still.
- 33:09Speaker 12: Photograph that we're showing there. Just don't want to make
- 33:11Speaker 12: sure our viewers know what they're looking at.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Please continue. I apologize. We had a.
- 33:17Speaker 13: Lady come up as a prospective jurer. I've been picking
- 33:20Speaker 13: juris for about thirty five years.
- 33:22Speaker 4: She looked good to me, a lady in.
- 33:24Speaker 13: The mid forties of Irish extraction.
- 33:27Speaker 4: She spoke with a brogue.
- 33:28Speaker 13: She worked in an Irish pub and in our questionnaire
- 33:31Speaker 13: questions twenty nine and thirty said do you have any
- 33:34Speaker 13: four do you have any strong feelings about the former president?
- 33:37Speaker 13: And if so, would they affect your ability to be fair?
- 33:40Speaker 13: And she checked them, so I said, well, ma'am, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 13: would they be positive or negative? Feelings.
- 33:45Speaker 2: And she says, oh, I despise that mine.
- 33:47Speaker 13: And I said, I guess it was late in the day, Jake,
- 33:49Speaker 13: And I said, I'll come on, don't sugarcoat things for me.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Speak your mind. She says, oh, speak me mind.
- 33:54Speaker 13: I hate him and Jake, I, you know, three and
- 33:57Speaker 13: a half decades since Ronald Reagan was president, been knocking
- 34:00Speaker 13: around picking juries.
- 34:02Speaker 4: I was floored.
- 34:02Speaker 13: And I looked over at Judge Berchon, expecting him to
- 34:05Speaker 13: meet my gaze and dismiss her. And he said, now, well, now,
- 34:08Speaker 13: wait a minute. He's got his robe on and the
- 34:10Speaker 13: pomp and circumstance of the court room. If I instructed
- 34:13Speaker 13: you on the law, could you put those feelings aside
- 34:16Speaker 13: and be fair? And she said, like most people say
- 34:18Speaker 13: when they see the judge in that black robe.
- 34:20Speaker 4: Sure, Judge. So she made it to the second round.
- 34:24Speaker 13: I got her out a different way, but it was
- 34:26Speaker 13: like rows of shark teeth, they just kept coming. And
- 34:29Speaker 13: she wasn't the dangerous Jew or Jake because she answered
- 34:32Speaker 13: the questions the Jura who just answers no questions.
- 34:37Speaker 4: And you just have a gut feeling.
- 34:39Speaker 13: You say, if it's a male jury, say Sarah, you
- 34:42Speaker 13: seem to be the perfect jew on paper. There's nothing
- 34:44Speaker 13: about the former president that gives you put nah, I'm fine,
- 34:48Speaker 13: put me in.
- 34:49Speaker 4: I'll be great.
- 34:49Speaker 13: And that's the Jura that I worry about, the Jura
- 34:52Speaker 13: who has some type of ulterior motive to get on
- 34:55Speaker 13: that case to settle a score.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Leave it to Jake Tapper to laugh at these seriousness
- 35:01Speaker 1: of the situation.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Like, oh, this is so funny. Ha ha ha. We're
- 35:05Speaker 2: gonna lock up Donald Trump.
- 35:06Speaker 1: We're gonna bankrupt him, We're gonna make him sell his assets.
- 35:10Speaker 2: This is how much they hate him.
- 35:12Speaker 1: The laugh on TV about the scenario that Trump is
- 35:15Speaker 1: in that they know is cooking the books against him,
- 35:18Speaker 1: because it's absolutely a Manhattan jury that is going to
- 35:22Speaker 1: hate him, and we know that from the voting numbers
- 35:25Speaker 1: in Manhattan. Make sure you share this podcast please on
