- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know, y'all back
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit, looking back to back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like amaan buck things. And it's not doing me true
- 0:20Speaker 1: good at Steve Harpen to move to other Steve, please, hobby,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join joined me to be doing me. You
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta use turning them. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out. Then turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your back at it, h I sure
- 2:02Speaker 1: will a good marting everybody you are listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man? How
- 2:13Speaker 1: good is God to me? And part of the mission
- 2:16Speaker 1: and the reason that I have a radio show is
- 2:19Speaker 1: to become a share of more and more of a
- 2:23Speaker 1: shareff You know. I used to hearing my mother say
- 2:26Speaker 1: it to me all the time. But God blesses you
- 2:29Speaker 1: to become a blessing. And I think the more you
- 2:31Speaker 1: understand that about yourself, I think the more blessings will
- 2:34Speaker 1: flow your way. I think that once you understand the
- 2:38Speaker 1: principle that you know. But it's kind of tied together
- 2:43Speaker 1: with some other scriptures, and I'm not too knowledgeable about them,
- 2:46Speaker 1: of course as usual. But I do know what I've heard.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You know, and you know, if you look at something
- 2:52Speaker 1: simple as do unto others as you would have them
- 2:55Speaker 1: do unto you, wouldn't you want somebody to help you
- 2:59Speaker 1: if you need it help? I mean, look, I don't
- 3:03Speaker 1: know how to wind it down into some intellectual lecture.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I just know how to get it down there to
- 3:10Speaker 1: where I've been able to understand it. If there's a
- 3:14Speaker 1: scripture similar that it says do unto others as you
- 3:18Speaker 1: would have them do unto you, or if that's you know,
- 3:23Speaker 1: in a prayer, would not you want somebody to help
- 3:27Speaker 1: you if you needed help? You've heard you reap what
- 3:33Speaker 1: you sow. Do you understand that if you so discord,
- 3:39Speaker 1: that discord is gonna come your way. That if you hate,
- 3:43Speaker 1: hate gonna come your way. If you blog nothing but
- 3:47Speaker 1: negative comments about people, your life will be filled with negativity.
- 3:52Speaker 1: If all you do is talk about people, then guess
- 3:55Speaker 1: what somebody got to turn that gun around and talk
- 3:57Speaker 1: about you. See, it just stands to reasons. So what
- 4:03Speaker 1: I've learned in my life and through all the trials
- 4:06Speaker 1: and tribulations that I've had is to take those lessons
- 4:11Speaker 1: and share them with people in case you ain't heard
- 4:14Speaker 1: it from somebody else. See sometimes, and the reason it
- 4:18Speaker 1: seems like I'm redundant at times is what I am
- 4:22Speaker 1: is because I'm always trying to find a different way
- 4:25Speaker 1: to say the same thing. Because it's a funny thing. Man,
- 4:29Speaker 1: You got to hear it a certain way for it
- 4:31Speaker 1: to click with you. How many times have I heard
- 4:36Speaker 1: of saying and then I heard it a different way
- 4:41Speaker 1: that it clicked with me. You know, I've heard of
- 4:45Speaker 1: this saying, right here, remember this now, everybody's not happy
- 4:49Speaker 1: for you. We've all heard that, right, everybody's not happy
- 4:53Speaker 1: for you. Well, that's very simple that I don't need
- 4:57Speaker 1: no explanation. That simply means of all the people you
- 5:01Speaker 1: know or do not know, when something happens to you
- 5:05Speaker 1: and you celebrating it, everybody's not gonna join in on
- 5:08Speaker 1: the celebration. That's all that is. But then you take
- 5:13Speaker 1: it one step further. My father used to say something
- 5:15Speaker 1: to me all the time. He says, son, everybody come
- 5:17Speaker 1: with you can't go with you. I didn't get that
- 5:20Speaker 1: when I was fifteen. Everybody come which you can't go
- 5:22Speaker 1: with you? He said, you're gonna lose some of these
- 5:24Speaker 1: friends you got along the way. You know, just just
- 5:28Speaker 1: the space time, you're gonna grow in different directions. You
- 5:31Speaker 1: know you're gonna do something ain't into. They're gonna do
- 5:33Speaker 1: something you ain't into. They're gonna want you to go here.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You ain't gonna make it. They're gonna disappoint you. You're
- 5:38Speaker 1: gonna disappoint him. He ain't never lied. But I don't
- 5:41Speaker 1: care where you get in life, how old you get,
- 5:45Speaker 1: how far you go, who you think you are, what
- 5:48Speaker 1: you make, what you say, what you claim to be.
- 5:51Speaker 1: No this right here, everybody can't go with you. If
- 5:55Speaker 1: you are constantly trying to improve yourself, you constantly have
- 5:58Speaker 1: to take assessment of the people around you. Because if
- 6:02Speaker 1: you are going to continue to go and continue to grow,
- 6:05Speaker 1: then guess what. You got to have people that's own
- 6:08Speaker 1: the goal and willing to grow. If you got people
- 6:11Speaker 1: in your life that are not on the goal or
- 6:14Speaker 1: willing to grow, how can they help you go or grow?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Do that makes sense? So you have to constantly make
- 6:21Speaker 1: assessment of the people around you, or else guess what
- 6:27Speaker 1: you're gonna learn? The valuable lesson you know, the late
- 6:30Speaker 1: boxing promoter butch Lewis. I was talking with butch Lewis
- 6:33Speaker 1: one time and man with a good brother man, I'm
- 6:37Speaker 1: talking about man with a good brother man Jesus. And
- 6:41Speaker 1: I was talking with him and he shared with me
- 6:43Speaker 1: a lesson that I had never thought of before. And
- 6:47Speaker 1: he told me this. Let me say this clock. I
- 6:51Speaker 1: don't know the time I got. I don't want Yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 1: I got time. Butch Lewis told me this one time.
- 6:56Speaker 1: He say, every successful man is doing what I call
- 7:00Speaker 1: he got rope work to do. He got rope work
- 7:03Speaker 1: to do. He got to put in work on rope.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And I'm sitting there listening to butch Lewis and all
- 7:10Speaker 1: the money he had made and all the people's lives
- 7:12Speaker 1: he had changed, and all of the moves he was making,
- 7:14Speaker 1: and his incredible skills as a negotiator on behalf of
- 7:18Speaker 1: some very very wealthy people. He was just an amazing
- 7:22Speaker 1: man with no education. But he read everything. He butch
- 7:25Speaker 1: Lewis read all that, all the papers, all the periodicals.
- 7:28Speaker 1: That brother knew everything. He said, you got to put
- 7:32Speaker 1: in rope. And I was sitting there listening. He said,
- 7:35Speaker 1: here's the analogy, little brother. He said, you are on rope.
- 7:39Speaker 1: There's a thick rope. You have on no shirt, you
- 7:43Speaker 1: have on some tattered clothes, you have on no shoes.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Your shorts is cut off just below the knee, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: they tattered, and you got dirt on you and you're sweating.
- 7:53Speaker 1: There's this huge, huge raw rope over your shoulder. That's
- 7:58Speaker 1: burn marks on all of your shoulder. Connected to that
- 8:01Speaker 1: rope is a wagon. That wagon has all your weight
- 8:06Speaker 1: on it, all your responsibilities, all the people you're responsible for,
- 8:11Speaker 1: all your children, your wife, your family members, your employees,
- 8:16Speaker 1: your co workers, your friends. They are all on that wagon. Man,
- 8:21Speaker 1: they're just sitting there. He's saying, what you gotta do
- 8:24Speaker 1: is you gotta pull that wagon up the heel. Now.
- 8:26Speaker 1: The only thing with it is, can't nobody help you
- 8:29Speaker 1: pull your wagon? You pull your wagon alone. He saying, Now,
- 8:34Speaker 1: what you can do along the way of pulling your wagon,
- 8:37Speaker 1: as you can find yourself a good wife, a good woman.
- 8:40Speaker 1: He's saying that what that woman does is she get
- 8:43Speaker 1: down off the wagon. She fan you while you pull it.
- 8:46Speaker 1: She put water on you while you pull it. She
- 8:49Speaker 1: puts stuff in your mouth while you pull it. She
- 8:51Speaker 1: kicked rocks out the way while you pull it. But
- 8:54Speaker 1: she but she pull it for you. But she is
- 8:56Speaker 1: equally as important as you are on the pull of
- 8:59Speaker 1: the He said, you hear me clearly now, young soldier.
- 9:02Speaker 1: He said, NA get this hell, He says, people on
- 9:05Speaker 1: your wagon that you're responsible for. But you want the
- 9:09Speaker 1: people on your wagon to help you get your wagon
- 9:12Speaker 1: to the top. So what you hope is that they
- 9:15Speaker 1: got their foot hanging over the side pushing, They got
- 9:18Speaker 1: one leg over the back, or maybe both legs over
- 9:21Speaker 1: the back pushing. They got they might have their butt
- 9:24Speaker 1: on the wagon, but they push you with both legs.
- 9:26Speaker 1: They're back facing your back, maybe some of them facing
- 9:29Speaker 1: you when one of them got left leg hanging over
- 9:31Speaker 1: trying to push. And you hope that all the people
- 9:35Speaker 1: on the wagon you pulling is back there at least
- 9:37Speaker 1: trying to help the wagon get to the top of
- 9:39Speaker 1: the hill. Here goes your problem. Though everybody ain't pushing,
- 9:43Speaker 1: everybody ain't pulling, ain't bar everybody ain't pulling. Everybody ain't
- 9:47Speaker 1: kicking rocks out the way. You got some people on
- 9:50Speaker 1: your wagon that's just laying on the wagon, drinking lemonade,
- 9:54Speaker 1: looking at you, talking about how long it's taking you
- 9:57Speaker 1: to get your wagon up to the top. Can at
- 10:00Speaker 1: you tell my whitest wagon so slow? Then when you
- 10:03Speaker 1: start picking up picking up speed, they want you to
- 10:06Speaker 1: pull harder, you to pull faster, you to pull mo.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Then they want you to throw what you then earned
- 10:12Speaker 1: on the way up the hill backed on the wagon
- 10:14Speaker 1: so they can have mo. But guess what, they ain't
- 10:16Speaker 1: helping you get more, but they got a sense of
- 10:18Speaker 1: entitlement that since you got mold, they should have more.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Everybody come with you can't go with you. Sometimes you
- 10:26Speaker 1: gotta kick the people off the wagon that ain't pushing
- 10:29Speaker 1: and pull it and say, hey, man, I'm sorry. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: thought I could do this with you, and I thought
- 10:34Speaker 1: you was going with me. But it's clear to me
- 10:36Speaker 1: you ain't nothing but dead weight. And it ain't my
- 10:38Speaker 1: responsibility to carry dead weight anymore. I have carried you
- 10:42Speaker 1: as long as I have to carry you. You are
- 10:45Speaker 1: no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible for my family, my wife,
- 10:49Speaker 1: my children. I'm not responsible for you. You got to
- 10:52Speaker 1: get off my wagon because I'm a man on rope.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I'm on a mission. Baby, I'm pulling. You're listening show,
- 11:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Man, I have your attention. Please, This

- 17:15Speaker 1: way to kick someone to the curb via text, then
- 17:18Speaker 1: a telephone call, followed by face to face. So what
- 17:21Speaker 1: do you guys think is the coldest way? Texas cold? Yes,
- 17:27Speaker 1: Texas cold bloody? Yeah? Have you ever? How have you
- 17:30Speaker 1: broken up? Steve? What's your worth? You know? I never
- 17:33Speaker 1: really did no bad breakups with anybody? Really, I mean
- 17:37Speaker 1: not really. I've had something done to me. I wrote
- 17:40Speaker 1: my bike over who I thought was my girlfriend's house.
- 17:44Speaker 1: What do you think? But it was your girlfriend? Right now?
- 17:48Speaker 1: I rode all the way over there. I'm about about
- 17:52Speaker 1: twelve miles to her. I rode my bike all the
- 17:56Speaker 1: way the twelve miles. You know, you know how she
- 18:00Speaker 1: told me it was old. She had her daddy sitting
- 18:02Speaker 1: on the porch. Way Now you know hard daddy is
- 18:05Speaker 1: a sixteen year old boy. What happened. Hey, mister Simon,
- 18:09Speaker 1: don't missus Simon me, don't bring your ass round. She
- 18:14Speaker 1: don't want you over here no more. And I damn
- 18:15Speaker 1: sure don't want you over here no more. The kass
- 18:18Speaker 1: home back where you come from? What it was he
- 18:22Speaker 1: told her dad to break up with you from? Yeah, yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 1: he told it to me. He was sitting on steps
- 18:26Speaker 1: waiting on me. Hey, mister Simon, don't hey missus Simon me.
- 18:31Speaker 1: That's cold. I was so confused. I'm tired, trying to
- 18:37Speaker 1: look fresh. Yeah, I had that happened to me. That
- 18:43Speaker 1: was a bad one, Junior. I didn't really, I ain't
- 18:46Speaker 1: really don't nobody on Valentine's Day. But I've got dumped
- 18:51Speaker 1: right before Valentine's Day. What happens like the week of? Yeah,
- 18:55Speaker 1: like the week of I told you, like you know,
- 18:57Speaker 1: I told my girls that she wanted to sleep. She
- 18:59Speaker 1: was going to sleep. But then I go out to
- 19:00Speaker 1: the little bar. She ain't there with another dude holding hand.
- 19:04Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm in there looking like,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I said, my boy, man, did your girl? I said, no,
- 19:08Speaker 1: she sleep? He said, dog, that's your girl. She is sleep,
- 19:12Speaker 1: not sleep. She awake. Hold man holding hand. I mean
- 19:15Speaker 1: I went on that crime. Let his hand go. Show
- 19:18Speaker 1: some respects for me, y'all. He had muscles. I wasn't
- 19:22Speaker 1: for the fight. I told jokes at the time, I
- 19:25Speaker 1: ain't make with twenty five dollars joke. Yeah, she didn't
- 19:36Speaker 1: let it go though. Let y'all, let's let's get to no,
- 19:40Speaker 1: we want to ask you first. Let's let's get to it.
- 19:43Speaker 1: H Come on, what what happened? You know you got
- 19:47Speaker 1: a story? Come on now, I've been dumped hard. I've
- 19:49Speaker 1: been dumped at the skating rink. Why everybody there? This
- 19:53Speaker 1: about ninth grade. That's the hardest thing for her to
- 19:57Speaker 1: be out there skating with this other dude. And I
- 19:59Speaker 1: didn't can and went Candy to the skating Wow, it
- 20:03Speaker 1: cut me deep. It was David before you know. But
- 20:07Speaker 1: you're celebrating that day because Balentie was on a Sunday.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So we all at the skating were gonna say and
- 20:12Speaker 1: I rolled up in there. Man, I got my God,
- 20:15Speaker 1: I got my John Yeah, I got my John Wayne's
- 20:17Speaker 1: shirt on. I got that out of Chess king John Wayne.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Where it go? You know the buttons go crossways over here? Yeah?
- 20:26Speaker 1: What is you're talking about there's a lot of point
- 20:29Speaker 1: of the story, Steve, what he wore to the skating
- 20:32Speaker 1: but John Wayne I heard that's what they did wear though, Steve,
- 20:36Speaker 1: you never wear that to the skating ring through skating
- 20:40Speaker 1: by the end when John Wayne shirts came out here, Yeah, yeah,
- 20:46Speaker 1: So what happens? So you went in there with your
- 20:48Speaker 1: flowers and your candy. They went in there with canny
- 20:50Speaker 1: everything and just got crushed right there, right and what

- 31:14Speaker 1: maybe on the local leney. Yeah, yeah, So that's why
- 31:22Speaker 1: he's knowing. I mean in service, yeah, all right. Rather, well,
- 31:28Speaker 1: that's what it's supposed to be done. That. Yeah, that's

- 31:38Speaker 1: for the American people. That's what Obama do you Yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 1: the president of all people Trump. Trump's never worked for

- 32:14Speaker 1: from around the world, and is more than ever ready
- 32:16Speaker 1: to be with his loved ones and continue making music
- 32:20Speaker 1: that brings people together. He will not forget this ordeal
- 32:23Speaker 1: or any of the other factor or any of the
- 32:25Speaker 1: other fathers, sons, family members, and faithless people he was
- 32:29Speaker 1: locked up with or that remain unjustly incarcerated across the country.
- 32:33Speaker 1: He asked for your hearts and minds to be with them. Wow,
- 32:37Speaker 1: that's kind of like that Meek Mill mentality, now, you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:42Speaker 1: working for prison reform and things like that, talking about
- 32:45Speaker 1: some prison reform and things. So that segration, yeah issues, yeah, yeah,
- 32:51Speaker 1: yeah it's good. Yeah, it really is good. It really
- 32:53Speaker 1: is good. I mean, you know, out of adversity comes
- 32:56Speaker 1: some of the greatest moments. So you know, said it
- 33:00Speaker 1: happened for him, but it could be a new awakening too. Yeah.
- 33:03Speaker 1: He could start a movement, right, Yeah, they already started them,
- 33:08Speaker 1: you know, but it can keep growing and snowballing. Yeah.
- 33:11Speaker 1: He's trying to stay here, he's trying to be a
- 33:13Speaker 1: citizen of this country. So yeah, he was supposed to
- 33:17Speaker 1: perform with Post Malone at the Grammys, but of course
- 33:21Speaker 1: he wasn't able to do so, but he's thanking his
- 33:23Speaker 1: fans and supporters. Though. I started to go down there
- 33:26Speaker 1: with post and do a little something. Oh did you? Yeah?
- 33:29Speaker 1: You know, I just don't know nothing of the worries.
- 33:31Speaker 1: As long as you weren't trying to do an hour
- 33:33Speaker 1: and thirty or ninety minute. That's just when I work
- 33:37Speaker 1: with Tommy. You're gonna do it on purpose. Tommy's family
- 33:43Speaker 1: with everything in there. I don't care that he'll probably
- 33:47Speaker 1: end up doing two hours. Tommy, you won't get a
- 33:50Speaker 1: chance to go on. I'm gonna burn the roof down.
- 33:55Speaker 1: But Steve, you're really thinking about it? Huh? You keep
- 33:58Speaker 1: talking about it? Yeah, you know, it's in my mind.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't know, man, it's in my mind. I've been
- 34:03Speaker 1: thinking about it. How you want to do it? I
- 34:05Speaker 1: want to do it Netflix down. How you want to
- 34:07Speaker 1: do it? I don't know, man, I don't think Netflix
- 34:09Speaker 1: wants to pay, so I'm not sure. I'll tell you. Well,
- 34:12Speaker 1: we just go on tour and then we just film it.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Then we set it to where we won't do and
- 34:18Speaker 1: we made the chick all right? Think about that while
- 34:20Speaker 1: we go to Missan when where you own it? Yeah?
- 34:25Speaker 1: Miss and Steve Introducer, Ladies and gentlemen, miss An Tripp.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Thanks guys, this is and Trip with the news and
- 34:31Speaker 1: good morning out there. Notorious Mexican drug log al Chapo
- 34:36Speaker 1: Gusman has been convicted on a number of narcotics and
- 34:39Speaker 1: conspiracy charges. After a three month long trial and over
- 34:42Speaker 1: week of deliberations, a jury in New York City found
- 34:45Speaker 1: Gusmand guilty yesterday on all ten charges. The first count
- 34:49Speaker 1: alone carries a guaranteed sentence of life in prison. Gusmand
- 34:53Speaker 1: was charged with running a continuing criminal enterprise as leader
- 34:56Speaker 1: of the cartel. Interesting enough, the drug people out there
- 34:59Speaker 1: at the drug enforcement people say that his Cineloa cartel
- 35:03Speaker 1: is actually stronger than ever even though he's incarcerated. Congressional
- 35:06Speaker 1: negotiators are still ironing out the fine details on their
- 35:10Speaker 1: tentative deal to provide more border security and stay off
- 35:13Speaker 1: another government shutdown. However, as you'll hear right now, the
- 35:16Speaker 1: President has one view of the agreement, while Senate Republican
- 35:19Speaker 1: leader Mitch McConnell as another. Am I happy at first lance?
- 35:23Speaker 1: The answer is no, I'm not everything the President I
- 35:27Speaker 1: hope to get, but I think it's a good step
- 35:30Speaker 1: in the right direction. I hope he'll decide to sign it.
- 35:35Speaker 1: That's the hope. The agreement gives a Trump and only
- 35:37Speaker 1: about a fifth of the money that he wanted, though,
- 35:39Speaker 1: gives him about one point seven billion, which is kind
- 35:42Speaker 1: of what the Democrats had said that they were going
- 35:44Speaker 1: to settle for. Anyway, he wanted five points something a
- 35:47Speaker 1: billion dollars, and he says, you know, he's not getting that.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Some of the Republicans say that he may be able
- 35:52Speaker 1: to get some of the money from other places. We'll see.
- 35:55Speaker 1: President Trump does say he intends to add to the degreement,
- 35:58Speaker 1: and on a positive note, he says he doesn't foresee
- 36:00Speaker 1: another shutdown, although he's claiming that if there is one,
- 36:03Speaker 1: the Democrats will be to blame. Prosecutors in Illinois want
- 36:06Speaker 1: to judge to revisit the light sentence given the white
- 36:09Speaker 1: ex Chicago cop who shot and killed the black teenage
- 36:12Speaker 1: Dame LaQuan McDonnell. Jason Van Dyke was the first Chicago
- 36:16Speaker 1: police officer in almost fifty years to be convicted of murder,
- 36:20Speaker 1: and Van Dyke's attorney claims that the effort to change
- 36:22Speaker 1: his sentence is all about politics. Prosecutors say, no, it's
- 36:26Speaker 1: not political it's a question of law. Police dashcam video
- 36:30Speaker 1: shows a young LaQuan walking away from the officer holding
- 36:34Speaker 1: a small pocket knife but ignoring his orders to stop.
- 36:37Speaker 1: After that, Van Dyke shoots the teenagers sixteen times in
- 36:41Speaker 1: the back and then as he lay prone on the ground, unprovoked,
- 36:45Speaker 1: and claims that he did it because he feared for
- 36:47Speaker 1: his life. Prosecutors originally asked to judge to give Vandyke
- 36:49Speaker 1: at least eighteen years behind bars. Instead, he got seven
- 36:52Speaker 1: and could be out in three years. In Denmark, two
- 36:56Speaker 1: artists have unveiled the beautiful statue of a black woman
- 36:58Speaker 1: called I Am the Queen Mayor, which represents a slave
- 37:01Speaker 1: named Mary Thomas who had led an uprising in the
- 37:04Speaker 1: former Danish colony of Saint Croix back in eighteen seventy eight.
- 37:07Speaker 1: And today is National Yodeling Day. Back to the Steve
- 37:11Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, you're listening to show. Well, El Chappo,
- 37:17Speaker 1: we all know him, the Mexican drug lord. He was
- 37:20Speaker 1: found guilty and he could face life in prison. A
- 37:24Speaker 1: jury in New York has convicted Joaquin Guzman, otherwise known
- 37:28Speaker 1: as El Chappo, on all six counts he was charged with,
- 37:31Speaker 1: which included operating a criminal enterprise, use of fire arms,
- 37:35Speaker 1: and various charges of conspiracy to import and distribute cocaine, heroin,
- 37:40Speaker 1: and marijuana. Prosecutors presented a mountain of evidence that showed
- 37:44Speaker 1: Guzman oversaw the shipment of tons of cocaine and other
- 37:48Speaker 1: drugs into the United States, generating billions, that is, billions
- 37:52Speaker 1: with a b of dollars in profits for the cartel.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Prosecutors also presented a video tour of a tunnel between
- 38:00Speaker 1: Mexico and Arizona. El Choppo's lawyer also said they would
- 38:04Speaker 1: appeal and cocaine does not stop flowing with the takedown
- 38:09Speaker 1: of El Choppo. No, that's that's what his attorney said. Yeah, yeah, well,
- 38:15Speaker 1: I mean, which is true when you think about it. Yeah,
- 38:19Speaker 1: they don't stop, yeah, trust me. But he had a
- 38:22Speaker 1: tunnel from Mexico to el Yeah. Yeah, we've got to
- 38:28Speaker 1: make sure, you know, bath to them because how he
- 38:30Speaker 1: left last time. Oh yeah, right, drove off. That's right,
- 38:37Speaker 1: that's right, he got to take shower. Wow. But tunnels though, so,
- 38:44Speaker 1: I mean, even if you do build a wall like
- 38:46Speaker 1: we've talked about many times on this show, it's not
- 38:50Speaker 1: tunnels already. Yeah, thousands of tunnels already already, yeah, what
- 38:55Speaker 1: were talking about? But the urgency of this wall to
- 38:58Speaker 1: be built to stop it all. I give you six months.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Chapa be back home. No oh no, no no no,
- 39:07Speaker 1: not from an American prison. No, you don't think nobody
- 39:11Speaker 1: breaking out of American prison. Oh no, no, not gonna
- 39:14Speaker 1: because he's gonna go to the what they call it,
- 39:17Speaker 1: see the supermax prison, the one in Colorado, the guy
- 39:21Speaker 1: that did the marathon bombing. They sent him there. They
- 39:24Speaker 1: call it supermax prison. You're gonna stail by yourself. You
- 39:29Speaker 1: don't see nobody help. Yeah, yeah, you're you're not digging
- 39:34Speaker 1: your way out of an American prison. But you know,
- 39:37Speaker 1: I've watched so many specials on him. He was an
- 39:40Speaker 1: interesting guy, man, really really really brilliant man. He's just
- 39:45Speaker 1: had it channeled the wrong wrong, as do most criminals.
- 39:50Speaker 1: It's some brilliant cats out here, that's criminals. And he
- 39:53Speaker 1: had enough money Steve to pay off all these judges
- 39:56Speaker 1: and police officers and law enforcement and fition and you know,
- 40:02Speaker 1: crazy wow. Yeah, he could have stopped though, but greed
- 40:07Speaker 1: makes you keep groom. This is true, This is true,
- 40:10Speaker 1: very very true. There you go. Yeah, that's very true.
- 40:16Speaker 1: All right, well, coming up, tummy says sixth Monks. Coming
- 40:19Speaker 1: up at thirty four after the hour, Steve. Monique will
- 40:22Speaker 1: be a very special guest on your show. And things
- 40:26Speaker 1: got a little heated on your talk show. We'll talk
- 40:28Speaker 1: about that right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Today,
- 40:34Speaker 1: this is the day A lot of people have been
- 40:36Speaker 1: waiting for your special guest is Monique. And you guys
- 40:40Speaker 1: don't leave any stone on turn I mean you, you
- 40:42Speaker 1: guys talk about everything and and it got a little heated. Steve,
- 40:48Speaker 1: here's a sneak peek. Take a listen and then we
- 40:50Speaker 1: can comment. Take a list as we try to come
- 40:52Speaker 1: through this. Because what I want really is for you
- 40:54Speaker 1: to come through because I know who you really are,
- 40:56Speaker 1: and so what I what I want you to do
- 40:58Speaker 1: is come through this. What it do the way because
- 41:01Speaker 1: you Monique, you're my girl. I love you like a sister.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I hate what's happening to you. I hate what they're
- 41:08Speaker 1: saying that's not true. I want them to know that
- 41:11Speaker 1: you are carried, that you're a great mother, that you
- 41:13Speaker 1: are incredible talent. I don't like the fact that you've
- 41:17Speaker 1: been black balled. You can be unblackballed. You're too talented
- 41:21Speaker 1: to have to worry about all this way. The next
- 41:23Speaker 1: one coming from I want this to end for you,
- 41:26Speaker 1: But I wanted to end for you, Monique because I
- 41:29Speaker 1: love you, because these people are doing it the wrong
- 41:33Speaker 1: way and you better than that. You are better than that. Wow, Steve,
- 41:40Speaker 1: you know it's it's like it's it's like a really
- 41:43Speaker 1: healing thing for me and Monique, you know, it really
- 41:46Speaker 1: really is. And I've spoken to her since, and I
- 41:51Speaker 1: think I think we're at a turning point because you know,
- 41:55Speaker 1: Mo Mo Mo felt that she was unjustly done and
- 42:00Speaker 1: and rightfully so in some cases, and admitted by more
- 42:03Speaker 1: than one person that you know, some things probably happened
- 42:07Speaker 1: to her that should not have happened. As a matter
- 42:08Speaker 1: of fact, some things happened to her that should not
- 42:10Speaker 1: have happened. And I like, you know, like I told
- 42:13Speaker 1: More on TV and I've said it, you know, I
- 42:16Speaker 1: just think you handled it the wrong way. You know,
- 42:20Speaker 1: you can be right and handle something the wrong way,
- 42:23Speaker 1: and she was right and was wrong in the way
- 42:26Speaker 1: she handled it. But More and I talked, man, that's
- 42:30Speaker 1: still my girl. My only regret was was, like I
- 42:34Speaker 1: said before, that I didn't that I didn't. I didn't
- 42:37Speaker 1: come to her aide sooner, you know, because I saw
- 42:41Speaker 1: this happening, but I was so busy working TV show
- 42:44Speaker 1: was Prime and all these shows working on weekends. I just,
- 42:48Speaker 1: you know, I was just busy, man. But that's the
- 42:51Speaker 1: only thing I regret was not coming to Mo and
- 42:55Speaker 1: and sitting it down early on when this first started
- 42:58Speaker 1: jumping off. That's that's my greatest regret. But we had
- 43:02Speaker 1: such a free in conversation that's gonna be on TV today,
- 43:09Speaker 1: you know. And was that a resolution? Yeah? I think
- 43:13Speaker 1: it was. You know, I think it was. You know,
- 43:15Speaker 1: we hugged for a long time after its old, you know,
- 43:19Speaker 1: and then we talked even longer after this over, So
- 43:23Speaker 1: I think there is resolution. I think that we were
- 43:26Speaker 1: at the turning point where MO can feel, you know,
- 43:33Speaker 1: some relief from this, you know, and some people, you know,
- 43:37Speaker 1: I don't know how it's gonna work out, but but
- 43:39Speaker 1: I know she's she's willing. And Steve, are you are
- 43:43Speaker 1: you gonna address when she said that she was gonna
- 43:46Speaker 1: slap you or something, because that's what was all over
- 43:48Speaker 1: the tabloid. Yeah, I mean, you know, but okay, now,
- 43:52Speaker 1: she said it, but she didn't say it, you know,
- 43:55Speaker 1: you know how moment surely you'd seen me and Mole
- 43:58Speaker 1: on the radio since too thousand. Absolutely, I would knock
- 44:02Speaker 1: your ass in the flow if you look over here
- 44:05Speaker 1: one more time. Mogen talking to me like that forever
- 44:08Speaker 1: she said that. Yeah, you know, but it wasn't it
- 44:11Speaker 1: wasn't talk. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And that's what I told
- 44:15Speaker 1: people that called me and was like, they were like,
- 44:17Speaker 1: what happened between I was like if they were just kidding,
- 44:21Speaker 1: you know, it was there was no venom. Yeah, there
- 44:23Speaker 1: was no no, not at all ensued or anything like that.
- 44:27Speaker 1: They were playing, you know, I mean, you know now
- 44:30Speaker 1: you know, if you're looking at it, you don't know
- 44:31Speaker 1: me and moben you Oh god, she told him she
- 44:34Speaker 1: was gonna bust. But but more talk like that all
- 44:38Speaker 1: time to me. Yeah, you know, yeah, snatching papers out
- 44:42Speaker 1: of my hand, throwing them in the floor. You ain't
- 44:43Speaker 1: going in no damn break. Oh you don't. More crazy, man,
- 44:48Speaker 1: I know. But today you know, look, you know we're
- 44:52Speaker 1: gonna release the the the entire one on our on
- 44:56Speaker 1: the internet, you know, tied you but what you're gonna
- 45:01Speaker 1: see is, of course I edited down version because we
- 45:04Speaker 1: talked for like forty eight fifty eight minutes, so you know,
- 45:07Speaker 1: we can't do fifty minutes on TV. That would have
- 45:10Speaker 1: been the whole show, all right, So make sure you
- 45:12Speaker 1: watch Steve's talk show today. Check your local listings. This
- 45:15Speaker 1: is a show that everybody's been talking about for the
- 45:18Speaker 1: last couple of weeks. Okay, don't miss it. Coming up next,
- 45:21Speaker 1: it is a nephew with today's prank phone call. Right
- 45:24Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show coming up at the
- 45:29Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after, it's
- 45:31Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today, subject hate comes in small packages.
- 45:37Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is here with today's prank

- 45:42Speaker 1: you know last yeah, titling. This is creeping past, creeping past. Hello,
- 45:53Speaker 1: come on pasta as in preacher. Yeah yeah, not pasture

- 46:04Speaker 1: is what I do. Let's go run it. Uh, I'm
- 46:09Speaker 1: trying to be speaking, hug you got him? How are
- 46:15Speaker 1: you trying? I'm doing it. I ain't doing too good.
- 46:19Speaker 1: You'd have been over there praying for my wife again,
- 46:21Speaker 1: right right, right, yes, sir, you came over here three
- 46:25Speaker 1: times in one week. My wife already went through the
- 46:28Speaker 1: operation and all that she's gonna be prying. I don't
- 46:31Speaker 1: need you over a praying three times a week, because, honestly,
- 46:34Speaker 1: I think it's so. I think it's something else on
- 46:36Speaker 1: your mind when you come over here praying for my wife.
- 46:39Speaker 1: I ain't stupid, brother, You kind of hold it. Brother,
- 46:42Speaker 1: this is buddy, this is well. Your wife was on
- 46:49Speaker 1: the second shot in list. I never actually to come
- 46:53Speaker 1: back questioned that I come by. Okay, he ain't requested
- 46:58Speaker 1: for you to bring your black to my house for
- 47:00Speaker 1: no damn three times in one week, man, So you
- 47:02Speaker 1: can cut that boy down with me. You can cut
- 47:05Speaker 1: that bull holder. Brother. I came with sister Georgia the
- 47:11Speaker 1: first time. The second time I came by myself because
- 47:14Speaker 1: she wasn't able to come by, and I only stayed
- 47:18Speaker 1: fifteen men, he's time. So what's the problem? Because I
- 47:21Speaker 1: already know what you what you doing. I know you're
- 47:23Speaker 1: trying to holly my wife. I ain't shoot how put
- 47:25Speaker 1: your wife? I have a wife. Why would I happen
- 47:28Speaker 1: to your wife? She's part of already know what you
- 47:31Speaker 1: already know what you're doing. Man, you up in her
- 47:34Speaker 1: so my white wine wine whine. No body at the house.
- 47:37Speaker 1: I already know what you do. Let me tell you something.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Keep your black away from my damn house. Did you
- 47:42Speaker 1: want to pray for my wife and play my wife? Wait?
- 47:46Speaker 1: You ain't wait, man, Oh, you can't talk to you
- 47:50Speaker 1: lay hand. That's what you're gonna now, Brother, ain't gonna
- 47:54Speaker 1: be none of that. Ain't gonna be none of that.
- 47:56Speaker 1: You're talking to the wrong brother nine. Okay. Now, first
- 47:59Speaker 1: of all, you're not gonna disrespect me and curse me out. Okay,
- 48:04Speaker 1: that's not even the way brother should be talking to brothers.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Second of all, if there's any laying on the hands,
- 48:09Speaker 1: it's gonna be my hands laying on you. Okay. You
- 48:12Speaker 1: ain't fro the lash. You ain't feel the lady, I
- 48:14Speaker 1: know trying to lay my wife. If I find out
- 48:17Speaker 1: what you know not you mess around with my wife,
- 48:20Speaker 1: it's gonna be, I know, trying to do crazy. I'm
- 48:24Speaker 1: just leting you talk. I'm gonna say it one more time.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Keep your black talk around my First of all, I
- 48:30Speaker 1: told you once again, you can't be talking to me
- 48:33Speaker 1: like that. Now I'm trying to be cool about the situation,
- 48:37Speaker 1: because I know you may be just upset. Okay, I
- 48:40Speaker 1: can appreciate that. Okay, I have a wife, and I'll
- 48:44Speaker 1: be upset if somebody who's coming back to my wife
- 48:46Speaker 1: won't you won't show out with your wife. I do
- 48:49Speaker 1: spend my time with my wife. I do you know
- 48:51Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I don't anybody from my house. Maybe
- 48:54Speaker 1: I do need to come out your house. And how
- 48:56Speaker 1: that your wife? Were you welcome to maybe come come
- 49:00Speaker 1: and come lay something over their own? Huh? God? Trying
- 49:04Speaker 1: to do a holder hold the one man, Hold the
- 49:08Speaker 1: one man. I told you before being disrespectful. Now, that
- 49:12Speaker 1: was a very idiotic statement for you to make. Okay,
- 49:16Speaker 1: that's what's going on. And if I catch your black
- 49:18Speaker 1: said my house again, I'm gonna play this man, and
- 49:21Speaker 1: then I'm getting on the phone with you. You your
- 49:23Speaker 1: plasters any more than them, because if anybody come by
- 49:26Speaker 1: my house again and I ain't there, I'm kicking your
- 49:29Speaker 1: black got some promis you know, just that's it. Look here, brother,
- 49:35Speaker 1: if that's gonna be any that's woping going on, I'm
- 49:37Speaker 1: gonna be kicking your I'm gonna lay my hands on you,
- 49:41Speaker 1: and I'm gonna give you a good sanctified whooping, and
- 49:45Speaker 1: then I'm gonna pray for you. I'm gonna pray to
- 49:48Speaker 1: heal you. Just put I'm gonna put up your so okay,
- 49:51Speaker 1: because I've had it with you, you know. And I
- 49:54Speaker 1: only went by it to visit your wife because I
- 49:56Speaker 1: was asked to go visit your wife. Now that was
- 49:58Speaker 1: a problem. You should have called the pastor. Okay, when
- 50:01Speaker 1: you're not going to disrespect me my wife to church
- 50:04Speaker 1: on the phone. Life you want to do somebody, you
- 50:06Speaker 1: can meet me any place. Well, I've been man. You know.
- 50:09Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I can go anywhere I
- 50:11Speaker 1: want in this town. If I be at your house
- 50:13Speaker 1: talking to your wife, if the path asked me to go,
- 50:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna be there. Okay, are you you know? You
- 50:19Speaker 1: just you know it's you're like a stupid brother. Okay.
- 50:22Speaker 1: You need to come to church. You need to come
- 50:25Speaker 1: to church. You the ones you need to come to
- 50:27Speaker 1: church more off. And that's the problem. You don't come
- 50:29Speaker 1: to church more often. If you come to church more off,
- 50:32Speaker 1: you wouldn't be talking to me like that. You wouldn't
- 50:34Speaker 1: be worried about me and your wife. Because it must
- 50:36Speaker 1: be something wrong at your house. You be worried about
- 50:39Speaker 1: me fooling with your wife. Okay, so you need to
- 50:42Speaker 1: check house. Okay, you need to check How about that?
- 50:45Speaker 1: Why don't you do that? Why don't you Why don't
- 50:47Speaker 1: you just check up? Okay? Common, say you the one
- 50:50Speaker 1: that's cheating with my wife? That's all I know? Tommy,
- 50:57Speaker 1: say you Common the one? Common, Say you the one
- 51:00Speaker 1: cheating around with my wife? Tommy who? Who is Tommy?
- 51:07Speaker 1: Tommy who? This is nephew Tommy, Man, this is never
- 51:13Speaker 1: of your Tommy from Steve Harvey Morning Show Man. Your
- 51:17Speaker 1: church member Laurence got me to pray ball, but not
- 51:20Speaker 1: long for that. You know you're long, You're long. You
- 51:25Speaker 1: know y'all know Highway to Hell, all of y'all you
- 51:28Speaker 1: know none stop no, you know y'all just you know

- 51:38Speaker 1: all of your brothers, and if you Tommy, Steve Harvey
- 51:42Speaker 1: brother Lawrence is wrong for that. Okay, I'm gonna check him.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna check out. I'm couldn't go. I don't talk
- 51:50Speaker 1: to you on the moment I'm paying, I'm gonna say, brother, brother,
- 51:55Speaker 1: you go, man, you gotta tell me what's the baddest
- 51:57Speaker 1: radio show with the lad Man Steve Harvey Moran. The
- 52:01Speaker 1: show on that is on that slide all the way
- 52:04Speaker 1: to Hell. I'm gonna go. I talk to y'alls later
- 52:08Speaker 1: going at the past. You don't. You don't y'all don't
- 52:10Speaker 1: m No, I'm too far, too far way, too left. Yeah,
- 52:16Speaker 1: let me right. Hen just ain't for you, hap, but
- 52:18Speaker 1: it's from me. No, I don't want to not go
- 52:21Speaker 1: to Heaven. I don't want to be there. I don't
- 52:23Speaker 1: want to Yeah, I just I want to walk through
- 52:25Speaker 1: the gate. Well, you know, if you if you want
- 52:27Speaker 1: to go there, timing, you have to do things that
- 52:30Speaker 1: can get your ticket in stuff. You have to probably
- 52:34Speaker 1: not praying the mast. Do you have to stop going
- 52:36Speaker 1: there with people like the past. I just thought pastors
- 52:39Speaker 1: need to laugh too, you know. Okay, Now he wouldn't
- 52:42Speaker 1: really laughing at He wasn't. Okay. Remember, And I'm supposed
- 52:47Speaker 1: to be stupid, and I'm not taking it back. I'm
- 52:49Speaker 1: not looking back. I'm going forward into stupid. That's the
- 52:53Speaker 1: problem of missing You're taking stupid in two thousand. But
- 52:59Speaker 1: I'm brilliantly stupid. And that's the part you don't get.
- 53:04Speaker 1: You the only one. If the early bird get the worm,
- 53:09Speaker 1: why do the worm get up? Earth? You know what
- 53:13Speaker 1: I'm saying? Why is you running out there? If the bird?
- 53:17Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie me that bird, I'm not even
- 53:20Speaker 1: gonna face. Why you keep getting your ass up? If
- 53:24Speaker 1: the early bird get the word? Why is the worm
- 53:27Speaker 1: getting up? Ear? Why are you? Why are you doing that?
- 53:29Speaker 1: You want the man sleeping sleep? That's that's brilliant boy.
- 53:35Speaker 1: I'm not lying. It ain't the birth. It's the worm.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Badly that boy that quit getting up early, get up
- 53:45Speaker 1: by three and half another. I don't get it. Early bird,
- 53:50Speaker 1: get the worry. Why is the word getting up like that?
- 53:52Speaker 1: Why are you getting up early? You know this bird
- 53:54Speaker 1: coming because that's news but pays and then you get
- 54:01Speaker 1: on up and going by your day, going into yourself. Man, Yeah,

- 55:07Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter, subject Hate Comes in Small Packages. Dear
- 55:12Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I am a sixty two year old African
- 55:16Speaker 1: American grandmother, and this past weekend, I took my five
- 55:19Speaker 1: year old granddaughter, who I called baby Girl, to a
- 55:22Speaker 1: playground in LA because the weather was just so beautiful.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I kept a close eye on my baby girl, and
- 55:28Speaker 1: I noticed troubling body language between her and a little
- 55:32Speaker 1: blonde girl. Moments later, my baby girl dropped down on
- 55:35Speaker 1: all fours and started crawling like a dog in the
- 55:38Speaker 1: sand as three other white children laughed at her. I
- 55:42Speaker 1: rushed over to them, and the children ran off. The
- 55:45Speaker 1: look on my grandchild's face hurt my heart, and I
- 55:48Speaker 1: could tell she was being bullied, but didn't realize it.
- 55:52Speaker 1: She told me that she was fine and I let
- 55:55Speaker 1: her continue to play. The blonde girl and her crew
- 55:58Speaker 1: went back over to where Baby Girl was playing, and
- 56:01Speaker 1: one of the boys had a small ball and he
- 56:04Speaker 1: threw it, then told baby Girl to go get it.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Baby Girl went and got the ball, and the little
- 56:09Speaker 1: blonde girl yelled to her several times to drop it.
- 56:14Speaker 1: At that very moment, I stormed over there to reprimand
- 56:17Speaker 1: somebody else's kids. The little blonde girl's dad came over
- 56:21Speaker 1: and introduced himself and excused the behavior as it's just
- 56:25Speaker 1: kids being kids. As I stood there with this man,
- 56:29Speaker 1: his little blond daughter told baby Girl that she did
- 56:33Speaker 1: not like her braids and she should undo them because
- 56:36Speaker 1: she does not live in Africa. Without flinching, Baby Girl
- 56:40Speaker 1: grabbed the little blonde girl by her neck and slung
- 56:44Speaker 1: her to the ground. Yes, baby girl. Yeah. I felt
- 56:49Speaker 1: relieved and ashamed at the same time. When the dad
- 56:54Speaker 1: said that this was unacceptable behavior, I told him that
- 56:58Speaker 1: this was just kids. My precious granddaughter cried all the
- 57:03Speaker 1: way home in my back seat. Later that night, I
- 57:06Speaker 1: caught my granddaughter trying to take her braids out by herself,
- 57:09Speaker 1: and it broke my heart. How do I explain this
- 57:12Speaker 1: type of hate to an innocent child. I don't have
- 57:14Speaker 1: the words. Please help. Wow, Yeah, you know, I mean,
- 57:18Speaker 1: you know, this type of behavior is taught. You know this,
- 57:22Speaker 1: it's taught in the home. It's you know, I mean,
- 57:25Speaker 1: that's usually where it starts, because I mean, you've seen
- 57:28Speaker 1: this experiment before. If you put random kids of different
- 57:31Speaker 1: races andicities together in a room or wherever, they usually
- 57:38Speaker 1: gravitate toward each other and play together. Because kids are innocent,
- 57:42Speaker 1: they don't have any racism in their minds or in
- 57:44Speaker 1: their bodies. They're innocent of all of this. These this
- 57:46Speaker 1: behavior is taught. The best thing you know you can
- 57:50Speaker 1: do as far as teaching your granddaughter is just build
- 57:53Speaker 1: up her self esteem. You're a sixty two year old
- 57:55Speaker 1: African American grandmother you've been through racism, you know it
- 57:59Speaker 1: is like you know, I'm sure to be called the
- 58:01Speaker 1: N word and to suffer racism. Those lessons you just
- 58:06Speaker 1: have to prepare, as we all do. We have to
- 58:09Speaker 1: prepare our children that this is a kind of world
- 58:11Speaker 1: we live in. These are the kinds of things that's
- 58:14Speaker 1: going that will happen. But just because you know, and
- 58:17Speaker 1: bullying is also a part of this, you know that's
- 58:20Speaker 1: wrong as well. But you you have to teach her
- 58:23Speaker 1: just like certain things like racism and things like that,
- 58:26Speaker 1: starting the home. Teaching starts in the home too. Making
- 58:29Speaker 1: your children aware of what kind of world we really
- 58:32Speaker 1: live in, unfortunately, is what we have to do as
- 58:35Speaker 1: parents and grandparents. Steve, I know this letter is not
- 58:42Speaker 1: a good one for me because you know, like I
- 58:45Speaker 1: said the other day, now we got a strawberry, lets
- 58:49Speaker 1: deal with some racism. I actually grow weary of constantly
- 58:56Speaker 1: addressing the colored situation in this country. So let me
- 59:01Speaker 1: just get my answers gonna be very short, and anybody
- 59:05Speaker 1: can chime in that wants to. I probably knowing me,
- 59:11Speaker 1: I'm glad I'm not in this letter because when the
- 59:14Speaker 1: man came over and said, it's just kids being kids.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Then we've just been two men being two men. You know,
- 59:23Speaker 1: i'd have choked him out. Do not put yourself in
- 59:26Speaker 1: this letter, I said, you know, I said, y'all, I'm
- 59:32Speaker 1: just gonna have to ask you to excuse me because
- 59:34Speaker 1: I told you this was not a good letter. I
- 59:37Speaker 1: don't like this type of stuff. And now my reaction
- 59:41Speaker 1: to stuff like this racism has always been violent. I've
- 59:44Speaker 1: never not responded to racism violently. When I was in
- 59:48Speaker 1: college faced with it, I reacted violently. I just don't.
- 59:53Speaker 1: I'm not good at that. And so my answer won't
- 59:56Speaker 1: won't fit on the radio at all, because, like I said,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: when he came over there and said, kids will be kids, Okay,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: but what is me and you though ain't gonna be Yeah,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: because we were not kids. Oh we men. Well, let
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: me share what men men and men do. So you know,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: that's that's all, man, That's all I got to say,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: because you know, it's just it's sickening, it really And
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: when you hit this happening at a young age, you
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: know that being taught this, Yeah, so now here comes
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: you mean, it's another generation like this on the way.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: That's sad because we've seen that experiment. So many times
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: when you put children in a room, they always play together.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: They love each other, they play. They don't know anything
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: about racism. And it's darker skin or you know, lighter skin,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: or blonde hair or dark hair. They don't know anything
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: about that. They just they just play together. That's it
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: as it should be taught. It's taught. I went through that.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I was a little girl and I was living in
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Chicago and I came to Houston to see my grandmother
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: for the summer. And I was seven years old, and
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: my mother warned me that I might hear the INN
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: word because I had never heard that before. And at
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: seven years old, my mother didn't use the N word
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: in our house, so I never I didn't hear. I
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: was shocked that she said that I would be exposed
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: to that and this little girl, I didn't know it
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: was wrong. And I got out in public at twelve.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: It was just me and my mother, so you know,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: when I got to the day camp. Long story short,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: When I got to the day camp, we were going
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: on a field trip to the amusement park and the
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: little girl said, well, I'm not sitting next to her
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: that in word, and yes, yes, I couldn't believe that.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: After our girl, Carla dude, though, I ran after her
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: on the playground, pulled her down by her hair and
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: went in and they had to call my grandmother and
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: they kicked me out of the day camp. Sorry. No,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: that's thank you, thank you for sharing. So when we
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: come back, I feel perfectly comfortable with our next All right, listen,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's Sudden Response. He found
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: one right after this coming up at twenty three after
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. Um,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: this is uh. The subject is hate comes in small packages.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: These are kids being racist in this letter written in
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: by a sixty two year old African American grandmother who
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: took her five year old granddaughter to the playground in La,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: of all places. You think it'd be a little more
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: liberal with it. Well, I mean, there are on a
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: lot of things out here apparently not that though. Yeah,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: you know, y'all man, the kids. All right, you want
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: me to recap the letter, Well, well you know what
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I'm saying. When I grew up, I grew up in
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: all black everything. I went to all black elementary, all
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: black junior high all black high school. I didn't even
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I didn't know white people went to school until I
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: went to college. You just you, I mean, you know,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I'm just joking, you know. Of course I knew they
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: went to school because they had better schools than we had.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: But I went to a Kent State I had three
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: white roommates, and it was culture shock for them. For them,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: not for me, because I, you know, worked with whites
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: on my jobs in high school and all of that,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: and you know, I watched them on TV. I'm used
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to it. They had never One guy told me he's
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: never even talked to a black person. I was the
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: first black person he talked to. And one of my
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: roommates was really cool. The other three that at the
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: two week room change, I'm walking through the lobby and
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: everybody in the line in my room except me. I
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: walked through and said, hey, man, what y'all getting ready
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: to do? Oh with us? And then I saw the
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: signs say room change. Kind of hurt my feelings a
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: little bit. They ain't want to live with you no
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: more went down immediate, So you know, in the first
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: day they was all down now and so my dude
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: that I grew up with Prude. He was up the hallway.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: He had three roommates. I said, cool, they find the lead.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: The day they moved out, I went out there Drew Prude,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: matching down the hallway with him. That was my dude.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: We grew up together, we became roommates. That's sad. I
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: mean the world, I mean, this is our real. Let
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: me te what one guy told me. He said, man,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I like you, but my dad says I can't live
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: with you. His father told him, you're not living with
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: the black I played. I played little league football. It
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: was only two black kids on the team. And you
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: meant league that right now. And it's only two black
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: kids on team. And this other guy, kid Kevin Harvey,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: we we're on saying king together. And I didn't notice it.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: But when this, when when practice is over, you come
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: around and get water from the water bottom and the
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: and the coach squeezes it in your in your mouth,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: and they always put me in Kevin at the end.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: And my daddy was picking me up from practice this day,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: this first time him picking me up, and he saw
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: what was going on, and he was living. He was
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: a living. All I knew is that something like that
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: going off on the coach and I was like, man,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna get kicked off the team. And next Dayted,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: me and Kevin we first in lane. I was like, whoa,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: what my daddy do? Yeah, your sir, well, I think,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I think till you have to talk to your kids,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: because you know, I'm a young daughter and she her friends.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: You know, she just had a sleepover and we had
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: three little white girls at our house. She has black friends,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: she has Asian friends, she has Indian friends. And these
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: kids they played together, they hang together, they danced together,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: they go to school together. But you have to talk
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: to your children. You can't avoid the conversation, yeah, about racism,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and you have to talk to him. And I remember
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Tasha saying when President Trump got elected, it was kind
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: of like a little change with some of the kids,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: like some of the boys and stuff at school because
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: she found herself defending President Obama. He is because they
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: was like, he's not a good president. He was a
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: good president. What do you say? You see what I'm saying.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: It kind of brought out, yeah, a different type of
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: conversation that she had never right because she was when
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: she was born, Obama was black. She didn't even know
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: that the president wasn't black. But I wanted to say
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: to you, Carla though, when you told your story earlier
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: about your mom preparing you, and usually that's what black
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: parents have to do with their kids, if they have
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: to prepare them. Look, you may be called the N word.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: There's a such thing as racism. We have to have
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: those kinds of conversations in our family because or else, well, well,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: you know, it'll catch us by surprise. We don't know that,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: you know, Steve, you didn't know that these guys didn't
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: want to be in the room with you because their
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: parents didn't want them in the room with you. You
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: didn't know that. But you know, you know, the sickening
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: thing is the conversation that my father had with me
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: going to school and how to deal with racism. Why
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: am I having the same conversation with my kids. I
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: can literally say the same things to them, the exact
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: same thing. Yea, all these years later. That's that's what's
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: really wrong. Yeah, that's the God's honest truth, it really is.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: And this woman who wrote this letter sixty two years old,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: so you know she's seen racism in her time, you know,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: she Yeah, she has. She's right, and she's trying to
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: take her five year old granddaughter just out to have
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: some fun at the place. Yeah, and then they're making
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: her crawl on the on the ground on all fours
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: like a dog and telling her her braids aren't good.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: She's not in Africa anymore, she doesn't live in Africa.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: What the heck? Vacation the first one. I know what,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I could ship some people over that. I know they
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: don't have all the conversation. They want to take then
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: braids out. Well if I take okay, they got to
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: go someway. We're gonna pack them in there sounds my
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: baby girl defended herself and it's just a conversation that
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: her grandmother and her family they have to keep having this. Yeah,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: she's only five. They well, you're right. Without flinching, it says,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: baby girl grabbed the little blonde girl by her neck
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: and slung her to the ground. Baby girl had enough
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: of it, she said, yeah, after she told her she
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: didn't like the braids. Yeah, all right, Well, you know,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: bottom line is Black History Month. Have this conversation, you
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: know with your children. We we we have to have it.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Let's stop this hate. Uh you can email us your Instagram.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letters. Steve Harvey FM
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: coming up in ten minutes. Steve Floyd Mayweather says he
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: is not boycotting Gucci and the Cleveland Browns signed Kareem
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Hunt and some are outraged. We'll get into it right
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: after Good Day. You're listening, all right, Steve Floyd Mayweather
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: is not a boycotting Gucci. He says he doesn't give
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: a darn about the Gucci boycott. He told TMZ Sports
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: that no one tells him what to do or what
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: to bud. I ain't never heard Floyd say darn. I
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: ain't never heard Floyd say darn. He said darn. Okay,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Well it's right here r n d A r n
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: or And that's why he dropped a fortune at the
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Gucci store. On Monday night of this week. Money Mayweather
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: rolled into Gucci and Beverly Hills, and when he was
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: told about all of the stars calling for a Gucci
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: band over a sweatshirt that resembled black Faced, Floyd said, well,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: tick a listen. You said they're gonna be upset with me. Oh,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I love it, I love it, I love it. I
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: don't she. The thing is this, I live for myself, right,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I live with myself. I do what I want to do,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: when I'm gonna do how I want to. I'm not
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: a follower. You know when everybody else they said everybody
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: gonna boycott, I say, that's what this boy's gonna get
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: on the yacht and live life right right, Maybe you
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: don't feel that they were disrespects on making the black faith.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: My thing is this, we all know racism still exists,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: but that's not going to stop my drive. I got
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: friends from all walks of life, and to me, of course,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: black lives matter first. But my thing is this, I'm
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: gonna continue to go out there and live life and
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: be happy and be positive. I wear what I want
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: to wear, when I want to, and how I want to.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: Nobody can stop my drive. Nobody's gonna tell me what
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: to wear it and when not to wear. Because half
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: of the people that's on social media sare don't wear
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: it is don't wear that. I ain't never see none
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: of them supporting the Money Team. Oh he is a
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: clothing line. You heard him, Money Team, The Money Team.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Well so his Gucci yeah oh man, Yeah, he had
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: a lot of Gucci bags, a lot of Gucci bag
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: a lot. TMZ was also saying, you know, he was
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: shading Ti a little bit because you know, he and
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Ti have beef and that one of the ones that
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: called for the boycott. So you know, there you go, shade, Yeah, there,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: there you go. Yeah. Uh. In other sports news, Steve,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: this one's definitely for you. Cleveland brown signed a running
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: back Kareem Hunt. Some called him the troubled running back
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: right now because he's been a little bit of trouble. Hunt,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: who was the Chiefs, who the Chiefs released in December
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: after a video came out showing him shoving and kicking
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: a woman. Uh signed a one year deal with the Browns,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: but Kareem Hunt will be a restricted player, as there
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: is no way he will not be facing a suspension
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: when he finally does get off the Commissioner's exempt list,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: which makes him ineligible to play until the NFL completes
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: his investigation into the incidents and decision on potential discipline
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: is made now it's a source close to the situation
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: told ESPN that the discipline process was still ongoing and
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: nowhere near done. Let's take a listen. I've always believed
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: that it is important moving forward to if a person
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: wants to better themselves moving forward and be a better person,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I'm willing to give them a chance. In terms of
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: doing all the deep research I've done, I stilly believe
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: that he will be a better man today than he
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: was yesterday. Now that was Cleveland Brown's GM John Dorsey,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: he was, you know, you heard defending his decision to
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: sign Kareem. So, yeah, you know, I saw that Kareem
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: hunt situation. I've listened to what everybody says. Critics are outraged.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I don't know what to think because on one turn
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: of events, I don't want to see people have to
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: over a mistake pay what they own with their whole livelihood.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: But at the same time, I have no tolerance or
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: agreement for violence acted out towards women. I can tolerate
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: men's violence with one another. I'm just saying that I
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: don't recommend it, but I can tolerate it much better.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: I grew up in that world, though I come from
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: a world where we fought each other all the time.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: You know, it's it's much better now, but I'm from
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: that place right there, So I don't I don't really
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: see how I'm you know, I'm I'm exhausted talking about this. Really,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I just get sick of it. Well, it's a lot,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: it is, it's a lot, It's a lot. It seems
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: like the Cleveland Browns are trying to give him a
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: second chance or the fact that interested in winning it
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: was that well message, yea, we know that's the bottom
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: line too. Yeah. The National Organization for Women issue a
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: statement saying the message this sends is that money matters
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: more than women. Women don't matter to the NFL, which
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: is rather surprising because they're a big part of the
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: viewer audience. Well, I want you to understand now, Kareem
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Hunt is on Roger Goodale's exemplest. Yeah, is so what
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: doesn't mean anything that the Browns signed. It doesn't mean anything.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: I mean it means something, But he's got to give
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: permission from the commissioner to play. Well, they have to
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: complete their investigation right now. They've Cleveland has done their
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: due diligence. And I got some friends that's close to
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: that situation up there, and they did tell me what
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: exactly happened. And I just think that we're going to
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: have to wait and see what comes out of this. Oh,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: we don't know the whole story there about the investigation. No,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: we don't, and I just have to reserve judgment until then. Now,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: what I saw on the video was file Yeah, you
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: know what I saw. Yeah, But for the Browns to
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: sign him, they did some due diligence. That's some stuff
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: that has come out about it. Yeah. A source close
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: to the situation told ESPN that the discipline process was
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: still ongoing and nowhere near done, and that Hunt met
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: with NFL investigators in January as part of the process. Steed,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: So it's still ongoing process. Yeah, So it's a it's
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: a story. Well, you know, we'll keep an eye on
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: for sure. He's um wow, what happens? Yeah? Is he
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: a good player though? I mean I never heard of
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: him until I saw the tape. Is he Yeah? And
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: he has a trouble passed though. I was reading about
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: his family and he comes from some Wow. All right, Well,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: we'll move on and keep your keep our eyes on
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: that one. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Steve's Health and Wellness segment with eight time mister Olympia,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: our friend Lee Hany. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, A
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: friend of mine has a record that hasn't been broken
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: in all of bodybuilding. Eight time mister olympiad He's been
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: on a show with weight loss challenges. Whether you are
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: into challenges, if you just want to get looked better.

- 1:17:48Speaker 1: The name of the book is called Fit at Any Age,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: and he's here now to tell us about the book
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Fit at any Age. Please welcome eight time mister Olympian,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: mister Lee Haney your side. Hello, look at him all right,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: good morning, Good morning extra man Lee. How you being man, brother?
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I am doing great, Steve. It's an honor to be
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: on the show with my family there again. Just thank
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: you so much. Love you got. Well, let me start
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: with this and then I'm gonna let the group jump
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: in because they've been wanting to talk to you about
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: this fitness. Because we got fitness at any Age on
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: this show. We got all the way from the youngest
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: member who is junior, and all the way up to
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: the oldest member who is Jay Anthony brown Man, if
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: you could get him to just have a fit thought process.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: So if okay, now this is your book, it's called
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Fit at Any Age, and you share with us your
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: forty plus years of expertise and exercise and nutrition. So
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: just give us the basics of the book. League well, Steve,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: I outline an exercise program with movements that can be
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: done right there in the comfort of your It combines
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: the combination of strength movements to build strength around the
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: skeletal system. Then we also have core movements or strengthenings,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: but balance and control of stabilization. We also have cardio
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: movements there to help give your level of cardial conditioning,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: which is very important. Then we also talk about stretching
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: for flexibility to sort of avoid stiff this. Then we
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: go into a nutritional program and with nutritional foods and
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: products that's in and out of the system. Because one
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: thing we want to be conscious of this we manage
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: ages to use foods that's going to be in and
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: out and nothing that caused the system, you know, like
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: red meat or like possible things like that that hang
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: around for you know, forty eight hours and more so
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: we got to be conscious of all of those different
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: things as we age. Lee, I'm assuming that you're talking
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: about food that doesn't stick around long fibrous foods exactly
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: exactly fiber like you know, turnip, green cabbage, squash, sweet potatoes,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: you know, whole queek, whole grain, these other type of
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: foods that have pushed weight out of the body. They
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: do what they need to do by giving us energy
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: and then they pass the paths off. What's left over
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: is weight, and so that's very important to keep the
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: system nice and clean. And then we talk about them
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: pullans of good quality of water, which is a streaming
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: important pushing weight out of the system and keeping our
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: entire systems functioning properly. So the things like that that
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: we're discussed in the books. Then we talk about age
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: management supplementation. We talk about then pour the detops in
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: the body, because some of us, a newly can walk
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: around with fifteen twenty pounds of weight in our systems
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: and not even know why we're looking the way. We
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: don't why we don't feel good, and that's one of
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: the problems there. And let you talk a lot about exercise.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Of course that's your thing, but you you talk a
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: lot about new atrition and the foods we eat and
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: all of that. Um. Of course, you know we just
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: got off the Super Bowl. Uh. We talked on this
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: show Lee about how many millions I think it was
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: even billion. Yeah, billion of chicken wings that would be
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: consumed on Super Bowl Sunday. Uh, tell us about chicken wings.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: What we've discovered from you about chicken wings. And you
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: know how we love us some chicken wings and they
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: almost say yourself together to Yeah, I don't like to
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: go against the wings, but well, the truth of the matter,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: chicken wings is one of the worst things that you
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: can eat. It's black, consuming a bucket of grief, be
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: ward going raditory of veins which is saturated fat. Yes,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: it's turrible. Now listen, if you if you're going to
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: have a watch an upper wing, it should be a drum,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: you know, grill something along those flap, you know, Lee,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: You know when you put that flap in and put
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: it out and them two bones, it's still together. You
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: know what I'm talking. You know the fact of about
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: that does taste good. I mean it's delicious, but that
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: chick had always come back for revenge if it gets
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: his revenge sooner or later. Okay, okay, so mister Hayy,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: let me let me ask a question. Me and you
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: at the house. We got the grill on, we've fend
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: to put something on the grill, big game on. What
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: do you put on the grill for us to be
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: so unhapped? Okay, this is what I would do. I
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: would do some grilled chicken bread and listen to we
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: gotta have some wings. We're gonna do some drum matka.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: We're gonna yeah, yeah. Then we're gonna have some turkey
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: burgers and again it things we're gonna digest and break
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: down quick. I'm not gonna do steak. It's gonna take
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: pointed hours to stake the digest and a healthy person.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Then we're gonna follow everything up. But for mixed green salad,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: you know, maybe some paint appum, which is digestive ensign,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you know, And then we're gonna have planted water and yeah,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: we can have a little you know, some shoulder. I
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: prefer ginger l because we have ginger there which is
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: great for digestion and planted water. So you know, so
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: when you're putting your meals together, think about things that's
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: gonna help your body breaks us down and digest. That's
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: important because when you're talking about health, seventy percent of
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: what you eat, when you eat it, and how much
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: you eat, we're determine your overall health and trying to
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: achieve your health and fitness goal. To train it is
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: only and not the down play them for the training,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: but nutrition is everything for repairing you sell giving us energy. Well,
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what listened up, everybody. Here's the deal.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: The name of the book is called Fit at Any

- 1:28:23Speaker 1: as long as he as long as he acknowledges, you know,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: me in some kind of way. I think that's that's nice. Yeah,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: and he does. He always does, even if if it's

- 1:28:38Speaker 1: too are to stick. What have you done for him lately? Year?
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: What have you done for him? Well? You know what,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: I have this dream. I have this dream that I cooked.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: I mean everything. You gave him your dream, but I
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: did so. Huh. You're told him what was in your dream?
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: That was it? Yeah? And he's sitting and listening at home, Stach,
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: but his stomach touching his back. I was in the

- 1:29:09Speaker 1: You're listening to Steven Show? All right, Steve, Today, this
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: is the day A lot of people have been waiting for.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Your special guest is Monique. And you guys don't leave
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: any stone on turn. I mean, you tell you guys
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: talk about everything, and and it got a little heated. Steve,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: here's a sneak peek. Take a listen and then we
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: can comment. Take a list as we try to come
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: through this. Because what I want really is for you
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: to come through because I know who you really are,
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: and so what I what I want you to do
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: is come through this with a different way because you Monique,
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: you're my girl. I love you like a sister. I
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: hate what's happening to you. I hate what they're saying
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: that's not true. I want them to know that you
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: are carried, that you're a great mother, that you are
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: incredible talent. I don't like the fact that you've been
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: black ball. You can be on black ball. You talented
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: to have to worry about all this. Where the next
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: one coming from, I want this to end for you. Well,
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: I wanted to end for you, Monique, because I love you,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: because these people are doing it the wrong way and
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: you better than that. You are better than that. Wow, Steve,
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: you know it's it's like it's it's like a really
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: healing thing for me and Monique. You know, it really
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: really is. And I've spoken to her since, and I
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: think we're at a turning point. More felt that she
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: was unjustly done, and rightfully so in some cases, and
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: admit it by more than one person, that you know,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: some things probably happened to her that should not have happened.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, some things happened to her
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: that should not have happened, and I like, you know,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: like I told More on TV and I've said it,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: you know, I just think you handled it the wrong way.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: You know, you can be right and handle something the
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: wrong way. And she was right and was wrong in
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: the way she handled it. But More and I talked, Man,
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: that's still my girl. My only regret was was, like
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: I said before, that I didn't come to her aide sooner,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: you know, because I saw this happening. But I was
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: so busy working TV show is Prime and all these
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: shows working on weekends. But that's the only thing I
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: regret was not coming to Mole and sitting it down
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: early on when this first started jumping off. That's that's
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: my greatest regret. But we had such a free in
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: conversation that's gonna be on TV today. Was there a resolution, Yeah,
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: I think it was. We hugged for a long time
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: after Wars old, you know, and then we talked even
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: longer after this over, So I think there is resolution.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: I think that we were at the turning point where
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: MO can feel, you know, some relief from this, you know,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: and some people, you know, I don't know how it's
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: gonna work out, but but I know she's she's willing.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: And Steve, are you gonna address when she said that
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: she was gonna slap you or something, because that's what
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: was all over the tabloid. Yeah, I mean, you know,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: but okay, now she said it, but she didn't say it.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: You know, you know how moment surely you had seen
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: me and Mo on the radio since two thousand. Absolutely,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: I would knock your ass in the flow if you
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: look over here one more time. Mopen talking to me
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: like that forever she said that. Yeah, you know, but
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: it wasn't it wasn't in it was There was no yeah,
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: there was no no, not at all ensued or anything
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: like that. They were playing, you know, I mean you
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: know now you know, if you're looking at it, you
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: don't know me and Mo the oh god, she told
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: him she was gonna bust. But but MO talk like
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: that all time to me. Yeah, you know. Yeah, all right,
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: Steve will come back on this Valentine's Day eve and
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: you'll have some clothes remarks for us on our last
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: break of the day. We'll be back at forty nine
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: after the hour. Right after this you're listening. All right, Steve,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: last break of the day, take us home with something good.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: Closing remarks, well, let's go. I think I should keep
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: it on the up upswing for everybody again. I want
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: to just talk to you about what it really takes
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: to make it, what it really takes to make it. Now. Look,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: I can, oh, you know, sit here and tell you
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: a bunch of stuff that you know, sound like I'm
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: really into public speaking, and I know all of what
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: I'm talking about all is here in YadA YadA YadA.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, what people really
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: want is real simple things that they can do to
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: make it. People want to be successful, man, they really do.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: They don't They don't want to not know what it's
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: like to be happy, to be free, to be successful.
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: They they want a simpler how should I put this?
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: They want somebody to explain it to them and simplify it.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say. Well, guess what, I
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: don't know if I'm the person that's qualified to make
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: it the simplest. But let me tell you what I do. Though,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: If you want to be happy in this life, if
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: you want to be successful, you're gonna have to develop
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: a couple of things. Now, here's the thing that I
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: want you to understand. Most people have what it takes
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: to be successful, but if it does not start with
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: the belief that you can be successful, you can never
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: bring out the qualities in you of success. Listen to
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: me again. Everyone has it in them to be successful,
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: but if you don't bring them out, and that starts
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: with the belief. If you don't have the belief that
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: you can be somebody, that you're worthy, that you're qualified,
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: that you're capable. If you don't start with that basic belief,
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: it can never happen. So first things first. In order
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: to be successful and happy in this world at whatever
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: level you're talking about, happiness, success is for you, it
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: has to start with the belief that it is for you.
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: I believe that I should be successful. I believe that
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: God wants me to be prosperous. I believe that He
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: comes to give you life and give you life more abundant.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: But you got to develop some things, man, and the
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: way to develop them is start with the belief and
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: hang on to the belief so strong that these attributes
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: develop themselves. Resilience if you believe hard enough that you
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: can be successful, that you can be happy, it will
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: automatically start to cultivate this thing that's in all of us.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: It's called resilience. All y'all got it. Everybody got it.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: You are resilient people. All of us are resilient. Hell,
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: if you can survive the projects, you resilient. If you
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: can survive public schools, you resili If you can survive
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: walking through gang neighborhoods because you still want education, you resilient.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: If you manage to get yourself a high school diploma
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: or a ged, you are resilient. And the more belief
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: you have, the more these attributes you can develop. You
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: got to be tough. You know how you get tough.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: You got to believe that you tough. You got to
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: believe that you can hang in now when all is
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: against you. That's how you get tough. You get tough
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: because you keep facing the test and you keep passing them.
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: But all of that, you came past the tests unless
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: you believe you can. Y'all, don't hear me. All of
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: you have an inner strength. Listen to me, man, Don't
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: you know even a homeless person has an inner strength?
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: What is it that gets a person to live under bridge,
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: or live in the refrigerator box, or live in some
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: of these homeless encountments. Do you know what really makes
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: them live there? Because they have an inner strength. It's
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: still some fiber of them that's telling them to hold on.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: Because if it wasn't, everybody would just get rid of
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: their self. Everybody would end it. But you know why
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: people don't end it because you really do have an
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: inner strength. It takes something to be homeless. All everybody
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: can make a mistake, man, and wind yourself up in
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: a situation. For homeless people have an inner strength. They
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: have a toughness. It's tough being homeless, man. They have
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: a resilience because for some reason they just won't give up.
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: And even though we judge them when we're driving by,
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: look at them sitting on that corner just asking for money.
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: They didn't gave up. No, no, it's another form of
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: giving up. But I'm telling you, even in your darkest
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: moments and your lowest points in your life, you have resilience, toughness,
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: inner strength. I got news for you. It can help
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: develop your faith because if you believe hard enough. The
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: Bible says that faith is a substance of things hope.
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: For that simply means that when how you develop, it's
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: really the essence of it's is hope. Do you remember
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: when you was living you hope you got a bike
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: for Christmas and you went out there one year and
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: the Christmas and the bike was under the tree. You
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: remember when you used to hope? You graduate from high school,
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: you mess around and got a diploma. Did you remember
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: hoping one day you get a job and now you're working.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: Faith is a substance of things hopeful. But if you
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: keep hoping hard enough and believe that something can happen eventually,
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: that hope times in the faith you got to have
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: dreams and visions so big that it dwarfs all your fields.
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: This is how you make it hope. You got what
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: I'm saying? All right? Dropping babies, drop it for all.
