- 2:05Speaker 1: y'all listening to the voice. Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, okay,
- 2:19Speaker 1: here's what I want to share with you. Stop complaining.
- 2:28Speaker 1: So I had to let you see how I let
- 2:30Speaker 1: that one sit for a second. Stop complaining. Do you
- 2:38Speaker 1: realize without us even thinking about it, oftentimes we just
- 2:45Speaker 1: complain about stuff and it comes up in such subtle forms. Man,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I don't know why they're still in that lady work there. Man,
- 2:56Speaker 1: If they don't fire this woman, Man, I don't know
- 2:58Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. She driving me crazy. She always
- 3:03Speaker 1: got something to say. I bet to day though, the
- 3:09Speaker 1: way I'm feeling right now, I bet she'd been not
- 3:11Speaker 1: saying nothing to me today. M yeah, yeah, because day
- 3:17Speaker 1: it today it. I'm sick of her running her mouth.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Last time she says something to me, I should have
- 3:25Speaker 1: said something to it. You know what I'm saying. I'm
- 3:28Speaker 1: just giving you a small example of how it starts
- 3:31Speaker 1: to snowball once you start to complain. It's it just
- 3:37Speaker 1: carries over into so many things. Man, Stop complaining about
- 3:42Speaker 1: your call, Stop complaining about your bus pass, Stop complaining
- 3:45Speaker 1: about your kids can't seem to get it together, Stop
- 3:49Speaker 1: complaining about your man can't seem to get it together.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Stop complaining. Stop Have you noticed? I'm just asking have
- 3:59Speaker 1: you know, oldest, that in all of your complaining, it
- 4:03Speaker 1: has provided not one solution. The reason I'm telling you
- 4:09Speaker 1: to stop complaining because God is able, Because God is capable.
- 4:18Speaker 1: He is capable and able of fixing anything, capable and
- 4:25Speaker 1: able of curing anything, capable and able of allowing you
- 4:32Speaker 1: to get too adjusting to things, and capable and able
- 4:39Speaker 1: to strengthen you to get through and change anything. But
- 4:46Speaker 1: the key here is God is capable, and God is able.
- 4:51Speaker 1: A lot of times I find myself complaining because I
- 4:56Speaker 1: have not used my greatest asset, and that's my relationship
- 5:01Speaker 1: with God. You all have one. Now. You may not
- 5:04Speaker 1: have nurtured it, but you have one because God created
- 5:07Speaker 1: you as his child. He's available to you now. The
- 5:10Speaker 1: fact that you ain't went to him. Okay, once again,
- 5:14Speaker 1: who fathers that? Stop complaining until you strengthen your relationship
- 5:21Speaker 1: with God and formulate this relationship. You don't have enough weapons.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You ain't got a big enough shield to fight this
- 5:33Speaker 1: thing called life. It just keeps coming. Man, And unless
- 5:37Speaker 1: you develop a relationship with God, you need a partner
- 5:40Speaker 1: in all of this. Maybe you got another route you're
- 5:44Speaker 1: gonna take. But every successful person I know personally has
- 5:52Speaker 1: a relationship with God. I have some really really people
- 6:00Speaker 1: that's kind of up there in the success term in
- 6:03Speaker 1: terms of business and money and statue. I'm just talking
- 6:07Speaker 1: about that portion of success. And then I have a
- 6:10Speaker 1: lot of people who are very successful in their spiritual life,
- 6:14Speaker 1: who have become great men of God and women of God.
- 6:19Speaker 1: But look at all of them, and all of them
- 6:22Speaker 1: have substantial amounts of you know, possessions and things like that. Also,
- 6:29Speaker 1: most successful people I know have that. Even if you
- 6:34Speaker 1: saw them never with a big lot of house and
- 6:37Speaker 1: a lot of money or stuff like that, they had
- 6:40Speaker 1: so much respect, so much love, so much power was
- 6:46Speaker 1: given them from people that their life was rich in
- 6:51Speaker 1: that area, you know, like a man Nu the King
- 6:55Speaker 1: or something like that, or Gandhi or somebody who lived
- 6:58Speaker 1: their life in service, or Nelson Mandela who came out
- 7:02Speaker 1: and just man, people put stuff at their feet because
- 7:05Speaker 1: of their service. So all successful people I know have that,
- 7:08Speaker 1: Every last one of these people that I know, they
- 7:11Speaker 1: have relationship with God. They used the tool that was
- 7:16Speaker 1: available to them to give them the strength, the bullets,
- 7:21Speaker 1: the arrows, the slings, the shield to fight this thing
- 7:24Speaker 1: called life and have the most valuable partner right there
- 7:27Speaker 1: by their side. They heavily father God because he will
- 7:30Speaker 1: help you get through this thing called life. Man, stop
- 7:33Speaker 1: complaining all the time. It's not fixing anything. Why don't
- 7:37Speaker 1: you do yourself a favor and strengthen your relationship with God? Man?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Why can I never get over? Well you have not
- 7:44Speaker 1: because you ask not. Man, how come I always got problems? Well,
- 7:47Speaker 1: you keep trying to solve them yourself and taking them
- 7:49Speaker 1: to your friends. You keep trying to do them with
- 7:52Speaker 1: your own thought process. Who are you? I keep telling you, man,
- 7:56Speaker 1: you're going through stuff. You ain't got no business going
- 7:58Speaker 1: through and if it's you going through something over and
- 8:03Speaker 1: over and over and over and the same problem keep
- 8:06Speaker 1: coming back to bite you again, all that's saying is
- 8:10Speaker 1: you still ain't strengthen your relationship with God. It's your relationship.
- 8:14Speaker 1: He's not gonna make you have one with him. He
- 8:16Speaker 1: is a perfect gentleman. He only comes into your life
- 8:20Speaker 1: when you invite him in. But for those who do
- 8:25Speaker 1: invite him men, they have a distinct advantage on their
- 8:28Speaker 1: road to success, a distinct advantage. You can do it
- 8:33Speaker 1: without him. Trust me, you can. How far you get.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I can't promise you nothing, how well you handle it
- 8:40Speaker 1: when you arrived there, I can't promise you nothing, how
- 8:44Speaker 1: long you're gonna stay there. I can't promise you nothing.
- 8:48Speaker 1: How difficult it's going to be without him. I can't
- 8:51Speaker 1: give you that. It's going to be far more difficult.
- 8:55Speaker 1: But you can. Something can happen, and you know, receive
- 8:58Speaker 1: a measure of success. And you think because you and
- 9:01Speaker 1: this move you made, and you can describe it as
- 9:03Speaker 1: I got lucky. I happened to be in the right
- 9:06Speaker 1: place at the right time. I got lucky. Lucky is
- 9:10Speaker 1: usually how other people describe other people's success. Poor he
- 9:14Speaker 1: was lucky. He was right there. Well, let me tell
- 9:16Speaker 1: you what luck is. Luck is when hard work bumps
- 9:19Speaker 1: up into opportunity. If you've been working hard at something,
- 9:23Speaker 1: an opportunity presents itself, that comes a match. That's not luck.
- 9:28Speaker 1: But now, if you haven't done that on a repetitive
- 9:31Speaker 1: enough basis, that opportunity could present itself one time. You
- 9:37Speaker 1: got to reconnect. Stop complaining, man, come on, listen to me.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Stop complaining. It hasn't fixed a single thing in your life.
- 9:44Speaker 1: And if you're a chronic complainer, it's because you really
- 9:47Speaker 1: really have not fixed your relationship with God. He's smooth
- 9:50Speaker 1: it out for you. That I can tell you for
- 9:52Speaker 1: a fact. I know that for a fact, he's mooved
- 9:54Speaker 1: mine out. All right, let's go. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It is upon us. The new day has arrived. The
- 10:07Speaker 1: gift is here. They call it a gift because today
- 10:11Speaker 1: is the present. It is the present that was given
- 10:15Speaker 1: to all of us. And the present is actually a gift,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and it's called life. We have been given this wonderful
- 10:23Speaker 1: gift today, and it's called the present. I'm here in
- 10:27Speaker 1: the present. You're here in the present. Let us rejoice
- 10:31Speaker 1: and be glad in it. This is the dog gone
- 10:35Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Baby baby, baby baby. When I
- 10:40Speaker 1: look at you, all I do is cry that song
- 10:46Speaker 1: right there was written come on June one. That got
- 10:54Speaker 1: your baby, baby baby, that's got That's got to be
- 10:57Speaker 1: the spinners, because the spinnish yesterday spinished yesterday actually original
- 11:05Speaker 1: ridden about ross Fell Wallace. Baby. When I look at you,
- 11:14Speaker 1: cry Charlie Strawberry, Hey, good morning. How are you, Steve
- 11:19Speaker 1: calling for rel Good morning? It's Thursday. What's happening to
- 11:23Speaker 1: Steve mording? Unc man, I'm gonna get it one day. Hey, hey,
- 11:32Speaker 1: all right, we're bothering you like an old man when
- 11:37Speaker 1: he did, Hey, what's going on? Right? Not over the top,
- 11:45Speaker 1: underneath what's going on? Everybody good? Feeling pretty good? You know,
- 11:53Speaker 1: feeling pretty good? Oh? Ready to go to day? Man? Yeah, yo,
- 11:59Speaker 1: get some things accomplished today. I'm just excited about today. Man.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Just kind of see what it's like. You know what
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'm saying, sun coming up, you know, man, pick it
- 12:14Speaker 1: up to everybody that woke up this morning. Let it
- 12:17Speaker 1: due up to the Lord. Ye it's a lord, amen,
- 12:22Speaker 1: thank you, because it's moaning time. Be grateful because some
- 12:29Speaker 1: folks did not wake up this morning. That's a bad look.
- 12:32Speaker 1: You know. You ever been to a funeral and somebody say, oh,
- 12:37Speaker 1: they look so peaceful. Do you do realize they did? God,
- 12:42Speaker 1: you do realize that that that that that I don't that,
- 12:46Speaker 1: I don't know nothing. Look, that's they're they're not here.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Funerals is one of my least favorite things. I don't
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm not a floor funeral. People like to go to funeral.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I gotta aunt go to air funeral. She people when
- 13:04Speaker 1: they get older, that's what they do, that's their activity.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I gotta aunt that went to every funeral she could,
- 13:11Speaker 1: got dressed up, went to it. She thought she was
- 13:14Speaker 1: the best grief counselor in the world. Be at the
- 13:19Speaker 1: doe walk in the family now sitting with him. I
- 13:22Speaker 1: just like, I just like being there for people in
- 13:24Speaker 1: their time of breath. Men, chill, don't cry with me.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Don't know. Aunt just went so she could see the body.
- 13:34Speaker 1: She was fascinated with dead bodies. Anyway, coming up at
- 13:39Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, asked the CLO right
- 13:43Speaker 1: after this, you're listening show, all right, guys, Time now
- 13:48Speaker 1: for asked the CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in
- 13:52Speaker 1: the building. This one is from Donna in Mobile, Alabama.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Donna writes, my mother and I are at odds because
- 13:59Speaker 1: she owes me money. It's been over sixty days that
- 14:01Speaker 1: I loaned her money for an outpatient procedure, and I
- 14:05Speaker 1: need my money. My mother is in her early sixties
- 14:08Speaker 1: and she's having trouble growing old gracefully. The only problem
- 14:12Speaker 1: with that is that she doesn't have the money for
- 14:15Speaker 1: the cosmetic procedures she wants monthly. I am a single
- 14:19Speaker 1: mom with two girls, and I don't have that luxury
- 14:22Speaker 1: of botox and lashes every month. How do I get
- 14:25Speaker 1: my money back and stop her from using me? Well,
- 14:28Speaker 1: why don't you do this? This is what I've done.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You may not want to hear this one, but this
- 14:33Speaker 1: is one I've done. It's called I buy people out
- 14:37Speaker 1: of my life. Now. I'm not saying you get rid
- 14:40Speaker 1: of your mother. Listen to me carefully. Once you give
- 14:44Speaker 1: me money and you do not return it, cool, you
- 14:49Speaker 1: are now purchased out of my life. You can't come
- 14:53Speaker 1: to me for nothing else. You can't ask me now
- 14:56Speaker 1: if your mom is doing all this surgery these cosmetic surgery.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You have to stop participating in it. You are single. Mother,
- 15:03Speaker 1: I don't have it, and I remember the last time
- 15:07Speaker 1: I gave you the money, you didn't return it. So no,
- 15:11Speaker 1: I don't have it. Now you're gonna have to do
- 15:13Speaker 1: You're gonna have to do it like that. Secondly, don't
- 15:17Speaker 1: loan out nothing. Do not loan money that you cannot
- 15:22Speaker 1: afford to lose. If you can afford to lose it,
- 15:27Speaker 1: don't loan it because there's a good chance they're not
- 15:29Speaker 1: gonna pay it back. So don't give away nothing to
- 15:33Speaker 1: nobody you need back, including mama, especially for nat. Look
- 15:40Speaker 1: if your mama had surgery to save her life for me,
- 15:44Speaker 1: I'm all in for that. But you want some botox
- 15:48Speaker 1: and some lashes, that's my mother in law. Mama, you're
- 15:53Speaker 1: gonna have to get somebody. I've seen a commercial for
- 15:56Speaker 1: mascara that lengthens and dickens. You're gonna have to go
- 15:59Speaker 1: that round. Did you know that? Though? Stick TV ship
- 16:07Speaker 1: all right moving. This is from Sincere in Jacksonville. Sincere
- 16:18Speaker 1: says I'm thirty nine years old and my boyfriend is
- 16:20Speaker 1: thirty seven. He works as a fashion editor for an
- 16:23Speaker 1: offline site, and he thinks he's ready for the cover
- 16:26Speaker 1: of GQ magazine all the time. I'm more on the
- 16:30Speaker 1: conservative side, and I don't care to wear designer clothes
- 16:32Speaker 1: all the time or have expensive purses. When I met him,
- 16:36Speaker 1: he was basic like me, and over time he reinvented himself.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I told him that he needs someone flashy, but he
- 16:43Speaker 1: said he loves me. Is he outgrowing me? Oh? That's
- 16:50Speaker 1: interesting me interesting as you. As I was listening to
- 16:52Speaker 1: the question, I was going to say, you said he
- 16:55Speaker 1: reinvented himself. Well, he's actually grown into something he loves.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Maybe he loved fashion and loves being a fashion editor,
- 17:04Speaker 1: and he was very simple then, but then he wanted more.
- 17:08Speaker 1: He became that now you have it. He loves you.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I mean, look, if you don't like designer bags and
- 17:16Speaker 1: all that, you don't have to like designer bags and
- 17:18Speaker 1: be a great person. But you know, if you're standing
- 17:21Speaker 1: next to him, you know, letn't put a g this way.
- 17:28Speaker 1: If you're standing next to him and he got on
- 17:32Speaker 1: sacks and you got on dollar generals, they're gonna know.
- 17:37Speaker 1: They're gonna notice that immediately. They're gonna pick up on
- 17:41Speaker 1: ain't it. But if he bags, surely, but if he
- 17:45Speaker 1: gonna buy the bag, yeah, secure the bag. She just
- 17:52Speaker 1: said she was basic girl. You know that's nice being basic.
- 17:56Speaker 1: You know, ain't nothing wrong with it, you know, yeah? Yeah,
- 18:00Speaker 1: can be all right? Mind? Did you could you? Could
- 18:03Speaker 1: you talk to Marjorie for me? Shout out to Marjorie
- 18:08Speaker 1: Harvey living her best life? Oh Instagram page? Did you
- 18:17Speaker 1: see sherla? She walked through the bookcase. Uh? What I know,
- 18:22Speaker 1: Carlo about fashion week in Paris? Hardy b Marjorie Harvey.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I don't know where it's going on else losers. I
- 18:33Speaker 1: have no idea what they're doing over there. But that
- 18:35Speaker 1: Marjorie Harvey. I mean, there's not enough fire emojis to
- 18:41Speaker 1: put on every one of her. Why are you looking
- 18:44Speaker 1: like that? What's wrong? Stick? What's wrong? Your faith? Same advice?
- 18:58Speaker 1: All right, We're gonna move on before or something happened,
- 19:03Speaker 1: all right? Chelis and Pittsburgh says, I've been dating a
- 19:06Speaker 1: guy for three months and I popped up at his
- 19:08Speaker 1: house because I had a sneaky suspicion he was messing
- 19:11Speaker 1: around on me. A woman answered the door, and he
- 19:14Speaker 1: was asleep on the couch. She had cooked a meal
- 19:17Speaker 1: and I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I woke my man up and he said the woman
- 19:22Speaker 1: is his best friend, and he didn't want to tell
- 19:24Speaker 1: me about her because he knows I'm a golferd. The
- 19:29Speaker 1: woman was really nice. But listen to this. Though the
- 19:32Speaker 1: woman was really nice and we all had dinner together,
- 19:36Speaker 1: I still don't trust Yes, yes, I still don't trust
- 19:39Speaker 1: them together. Should I be worried? Nah? Well, listen to me.
- 19:47Speaker 1: All you saw was a woman answered the door. Didn't
- 19:49Speaker 1: seeing Bob. He was on the couch sleep. Now he
- 19:53Speaker 1: hadn't told you that's his flee Ye told you? Oudn't
- 19:59Speaker 1: told you. It is hard for us to be friends
- 20:04Speaker 1: with a woman that we are attracted to. Now. I
- 20:10Speaker 1: don't know what she looked like when y'all sit out
- 20:12Speaker 1: in here and dinner, but she and that cooking dinner. Viously,
- 20:15Speaker 1: they obviously have a very very comfortable relationship. But I
- 20:19Speaker 1: tell you what, I don't give it. Damn, what have
- 20:22Speaker 1: you been here? What do you mean three months? She's
- 20:26Speaker 1: popping up at his house? Wow? Right? You know because
- 20:29Speaker 1: she had a suspicion. Well, now y'all are sitting down
- 20:32Speaker 1: and had dinner. Should I still be worried. Well, like
- 20:36Speaker 1: right now, everybody's a boar boy with you with what's
- 20:39Speaker 1: going on, And according to him and her, nothing's going on.
- 20:44Speaker 1: But Joe spied a sensus got to be tightening. It
- 20:49Speaker 1: means get you a plate head. I think they do
- 20:54Speaker 1: her all right? Uh, thank you, Clo. Coming up next,
- 20:57Speaker 1: the nephew would run that prank back right after this.
- 21:00Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 21:04Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Miss Anne is standing
- 21:07Speaker 1: by with today's national news. She has the latest on
- 21:10Speaker 1: yesterday school shooting in Arlington, Texas, Oh Boy Plus and
- 21:15Speaker 1: trending entertainment News. ESPN has removed Sage Steele after she
- 21:20Speaker 1: questioned Barack Obama's blackness and after she slammed the company's
- 21:25Speaker 1: COVID vaccine mandate. We'll talk about all of these stories
- 21:28Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, but right now, the
- 21:30Speaker 1: nephew is in the building, would run that break back.
- 21:33Speaker 1: What's you got for us? Neff? All right, And it's
- 21:37Speaker 1: been brought to my attention that black people have been
- 21:41Speaker 1: eating too much chicken, too much chicken. So we're gonna
- 21:49Speaker 1: call a few black people and talk to them about
- 21:52Speaker 1: consuming too much chicken catnog if you would too much chicken? Hellos, Hello,
- 22:01Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Jason. Please. This is Jason. Hi Jason,
- 22:05Speaker 1: my name is Remy. I'm calling with BPE TMC. As
- 22:08Speaker 1: you they going, I'm going firing. But what a VT?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Whoever that is BPE TMC. Why it's an organization we've
- 22:16Speaker 1: been around for the last five years and we're trying
- 22:18Speaker 1: to help different things in the black community and wanted
- 22:20Speaker 1: to reach out and give you a call and see
- 22:22Speaker 1: if you would be on board of help signing a
- 22:24Speaker 1: petition that we're gonna have going around with BPE t
- 22:28Speaker 1: MC if you don't mind, Okay, what is it about? Well,
- 22:31Speaker 1: BP E t MC, Jason is uh, black people eat
- 22:35Speaker 1: too much chicken, and what we're trying to do is
- 22:37Speaker 1: cut back beato much chicken. What the hell is this?
- 22:43Speaker 1: My name, my name is Remy, Sir. Okay, what you
- 22:45Speaker 1: mean about black pe beat too much chicken? We've we've
- 22:48Speaker 1: done we've we've done a test study and we realized, sir,
- 22:52Speaker 1: the black people are the ones that are eating too
- 22:54Speaker 1: much chicken. And what we want to do is trying
- 22:56Speaker 1: to cut back because right now there's a them eat
- 23:00Speaker 1: all tamber chicken, chicken food young, all this yeah chicken
- 23:03Speaker 1: and white tut chicken halligate all this chicken, chicken, stir
- 23:07Speaker 1: fire rice with chicken and allways saying you want to
- 23:08Speaker 1: come to me talking about a black person eat too
- 23:11Speaker 1: much damn chickens? Did you ask? And white people? I
- 23:13Speaker 1: bet you didn't know? With no white folks, I bet
- 23:15Speaker 1: you don't go to them y'all out of them? Uh. Well,
- 23:18Speaker 1: so we're gonna we're gonna get to that. We're starting
- 23:20Speaker 1: in the black community. You black people are the ones
- 23:22Speaker 1: that seemed to buy the most chicken, no chicken. Guess
- 23:26Speaker 1: what how don't we eat chickens? And if I did,
- 23:29Speaker 1: he's chicken? I' because man, we go. Are you thinking
- 23:33Speaker 1: of something? You? Hey, Hindu, y'all got my number enemy? Yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 1: well you're getting actually we're getting numbers from the supermarket.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Uh and we're getting a listing of people who buy
- 23:45Speaker 1: the most supermarket you get come in in a supermarket. Sure.
- 23:49Speaker 1: The main thing we're trying to get you to do
- 23:51Speaker 1: is cut back on eating chicken. Now what we want.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I don't eat no more chicken. And you know what
- 23:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. I'm gonna go and eat something chickens.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna call him about eating too much. I don't
- 24:02Speaker 1: even a Calma phone, so you got that? Hello? Hello,
- 24:09Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach callaway? Is this callaway? Yeah? Who
- 24:14Speaker 1: is this? How you doing? My name is Remy. I'm
- 24:16Speaker 1: with bp E t MC and uh who who? My
- 24:22Speaker 1: name is Remy, sir, I'm with bp E t MC.
- 24:25Speaker 1: What we're doing is we have a petition we're trying
- 24:28Speaker 1: to get signed throughout the black community, uh of some
- 24:31Speaker 1: things that we're trying to actually help out in the
- 24:33Speaker 1: black community. Uh So bp E t MC is actually
- 24:36Speaker 1: an organization and we're trying to actually, uh save some
- 24:40Speaker 1: things in the black community. Where's the what's B what
- 24:43Speaker 1: is that? What's that stand for? What's here? Is that BT?
- 24:45Speaker 1: What is that for? Uh? Bp t MC is is uh,
- 24:49Speaker 1: black people eat too much chicken? And what we're trying
- 24:53Speaker 1: to do with man, you got kidding me? Man? This
- 24:57Speaker 1: is this is Remy sir. We're trying to get you
- 24:59Speaker 1: all to actually sign a petition. What's going on is
- 25:01Speaker 1: black people are buying too much chicken. You gotta be
- 25:04Speaker 1: kidding me with this man? This is a right man?
- 25:07Speaker 1: Who is this man? I am Caucasian, sir, Yes, Now,
- 25:11Speaker 1: why are you calling me with this? Well, what we're
- 25:13Speaker 1: trying to do is we're trying to get how do
- 25:16Speaker 1: you get my number? First of all, actually we're getting
- 25:18Speaker 1: we're getting numbers from supermarkets that are letting us know
- 25:22Speaker 1: the people. Let's get my phone with that man talking
- 25:26Speaker 1: about some chicken. Man, you let me get out a
- 25:30Speaker 1: smack one of y'all want. Okay, sir, What we're trying
- 25:33Speaker 1: to do is get you guys to cut back on
- 25:34Speaker 1: buying chicken. Who you're talking about? You guys? Well, the
- 25:38Speaker 1: black community is the black community. Hey, man, you've got
- 25:41Speaker 1: to go on with it. We can't get table. Then
- 25:44Speaker 1: they'll be calling my phone with that man. Hello, Hello,
- 25:49Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach the valerie A vow. That's a shame.
- 25:53Speaker 1: How can I help you? All right, my name is Remy.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm with BPE TMC. How you doing. I'm doing fine
- 26:00Speaker 1: and you I'm very well. Man. Listen, what we're trying
- 26:03Speaker 1: to do is, uh, if I take a little bit
- 26:05Speaker 1: of your time, we're trying to actually get a survey
- 26:08Speaker 1: signed by people in the black community. We're actually trying
- 26:11Speaker 1: to help out in the black community. But the organization
- 26:13Speaker 1: is BPE TMC. And what this is is black What
- 26:17Speaker 1: is that? Uh, that's that's Black people eat too much chicken.
- 26:21Speaker 1: So what we're doing is we're trying to get what
- 26:25Speaker 1: black say that woman time for me. Black people eat
- 26:28Speaker 1: too much chicken. You see, there's been a shortage in chicken.
- 26:32Speaker 1: So what we're trying to do is get black people
- 26:35Speaker 1: in chicken. And you want to do a survey, Well,
- 26:38Speaker 1: we want what we want you guys to do with
- 26:40Speaker 1: sign a petition that you're not going to eat anymore
- 26:42Speaker 1: chicken this year. Why does then make sense? We just
- 26:45Speaker 1: don't eat chicken. You know, we eat beef, we eat steak,
- 26:48Speaker 1: eat fish. I don't see you're trying to part that
- 26:50Speaker 1: off the market. Now, why would you want to tell
- 26:53Speaker 1: us not to to eat chicken? And we eat other
- 26:55Speaker 1: stuff too? What are you getting here? And sign? Because
- 26:59Speaker 1: this doesn't make it. The test study, man was over chicken,
- 27:02Speaker 1: and it just seems like that this study. Who did
- 27:05Speaker 1: this test study? Well we did, man, we're BPE TMC.
- 27:09Speaker 1: And what we're after doing the test study, we did
- 27:11Speaker 1: realize that the black people are the ones that we want.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Your chest I don't just do it after two black people.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I mean, did you use white people? That white people
- 27:19Speaker 1: eat chicken too? And she says that those diets and stuff?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Okay man, well Asian? What about the Hispanics? Did you
- 27:27Speaker 1: use them? Okay? Man? Listening? What the bottom line is
- 27:30Speaker 1: our first study is black people, and what we're trying
- 27:32Speaker 1: to do is get you guys to cut back on eating. Yes,
- 27:35Speaker 1: study should be everybody. This is something. Where'd you get
- 27:38Speaker 1: my number from? Man? We got we got numbers from
- 27:40Speaker 1: the supermarkets that people that number from No supermarkets. I
- 27:44Speaker 1: ain't you my number to no supermarket? This is gonna
- 27:46Speaker 1: make any damn sense. You calling me, interrupting me about
- 27:49Speaker 1: something like this. This is this one bottom line. Man,
- 27:53Speaker 1: you don't you don't telling me. You're not telling me
- 27:56Speaker 1: what the hair? I can't you know? La mine? He
- 27:59Speaker 1: got nice and push this survey? Yes, you do put
- 28:03Speaker 1: this calling somebody telling up something black people eat too
- 28:06Speaker 1: much chicken? You and your partition. Would you like to
- 28:09Speaker 1: hear what the survey is actually saying. No, I don't
- 28:12Speaker 1: want to hear the survey is actually saying, because what
- 28:14Speaker 1: you're saying about a whole bunch of but the survey
- 28:17Speaker 1: is saying that This is nephew Tommy from the Steve
- 28:20Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Valerie, this is nephew Tommy baby from
- 28:26Speaker 1: the Steawalker. God, oh oh, I'm some chicken. Do anybody
- 28:41Speaker 1: want a three piece? Nine? Do anybody a biscuit? You
- 28:46Speaker 1: ain't survey them too much? Chicken? People, well on it.
- 28:54Speaker 1: But I'm grilling it all weekend, All weekend, I'm grilling chicken.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I'm really be on a groom too much. Check ye
- 29:04Speaker 1: go home this week gradually my wife and kids home
- 29:09Speaker 1: from where where are you now in DCM shooting ready
- 29:14Speaker 1: to love. I'm shooting, ready to love my show? All right, nephew,
- 29:19Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:21Speaker 1: Entertainment News right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 29:25Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, miss Anne is standing
- 29:30Speaker 1: by with today's news, and she has the latest on
- 29:33Speaker 1: the school shooting in Arlington, Texas. But first in today's
- 29:38Speaker 1: entertainment news, ESPN SportsCenter anchor Sage Steele has been taken
- 29:43Speaker 1: off the air to to her comments on former Chicago
- 29:46Speaker 1: Bears quarterback podcast Uncut with Jake Cutler. We all remember
- 29:50Speaker 1: Jay Cutler from the Bears. Well, anyway, Sage Steele said
- 29:55Speaker 1: that President Obama checking black as his race on his
- 29:59Speaker 1: sin his form was fascinating to her. Tick listen, if
- 30:03Speaker 1: they make you choose a race, She's like, we're gonna
- 30:06Speaker 1: put I go Walt Boat. She's like, well you can't.
- 30:08Speaker 1: He was what Barack Obama chose black and he's bi racial.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I'm like, well, congratulations to the president. That's his thing.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I think that's fascinating, consider considering his black day was
- 30:18Speaker 1: nowhere to be found, but as white mom and grandma racing.
- 30:21Speaker 1: But hey, you do you what? Whoa bi racial? Come on? Yeah?
- 30:27Speaker 1: Obviously she said that that's crazy right for her? Yeah, well,
- 30:35Speaker 1: you know, it's like white girl too, I think. I mean,
- 30:41Speaker 1: you know, if he chose black as his ethnicity, come on,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and that's what he chooses to identify with. Uh, that's
- 30:51Speaker 1: his choice. Why are you questioning it? Because he was
- 30:56Speaker 1: raised by his white mother and his white grand that's
- 30:59Speaker 1: not the issue. A lot of people are raised that way.
- 31:02Speaker 1: A lot of people are by racial in this country.
- 31:05Speaker 1: But let me let me just say this to you.
- 31:07Speaker 1: If one of your parents is black and the other
- 31:10Speaker 1: one his wife, in this country called the United States,
- 31:13Speaker 1: you are considered black. You might not want to consider
- 31:16Speaker 1: yourself that. I want you to understand something unless you
- 31:23Speaker 1: get and even if you famous, famous, and I don't
- 31:27Speaker 1: care how much money you get, when you walk in
- 31:30Speaker 1: the room, I'm telling you, that's what they're gonna see.
- 31:33Speaker 1: They're gonna find any spect of it to identify and
- 31:36Speaker 1: and and and put you in that category. I don't
- 31:39Speaker 1: care who you are. No body gets to go through
- 31:42Speaker 1: this world with this thing called blackness and not have
- 31:47Speaker 1: to deal or identify with that side of it. You
- 31:50Speaker 1: just can't. We live in a racist country. This country
- 31:57Speaker 1: the very beginning started and the country was built because
- 32:02Speaker 1: of racism. Slavery is an act of racism. This country
- 32:07Speaker 1: was built on that period. Now, I mean, it's cool,
- 32:11Speaker 1: but you can't. And I don't see why these people
- 32:14Speaker 1: get on these podcasts with these people that ain't nobody. Man,
- 32:19Speaker 1: everybody go on the podcast get in Trouble. You can
- 32:23Speaker 1: think of several famous people that them went on podcasts
- 32:26Speaker 1: and got in trouble and nobody listening to Ja Cutler
- 32:29Speaker 1: uncut podcast. But he got cut off the bands. You know,
- 32:41Speaker 1: our boy Nick got in trouble off something all from
- 32:44Speaker 1: a podcast. Look, man, you get on a podcast and
- 32:48Speaker 1: you get more comfortable because it's a podcast, but they're
- 32:53Speaker 1: recording everything. Yeah. Man, And even though I can, I'll
- 33:01Speaker 1: tell you something I found out about podcasts. Even though
- 33:04Speaker 1: there are not a huge number of people making money
- 33:07Speaker 1: on podcasts, there's not a huge number of people making money.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Not real. Well, okay, let me just say this, hire
- 33:15Speaker 1: wit k, none of us give up what we're doing
- 33:17Speaker 1: and go to no podcast. Let me just put that way,
- 33:20Speaker 1: facts upon back. That's true. Okay, yeah, back today. All right,
- 33:28Speaker 1: we gotta move on, Steve. Time for today's headlines. Ladies
- 33:31Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Miss a trip much. Good morning everybody. This
- 33:35Speaker 1: is a trip with the news. Okay. It looks like
- 33:37Speaker 1: there's a little bit of melting going on in the
- 33:40Speaker 1: US Senate. Republican leader Mitch McConnell is extending a slightly
- 33:44Speaker 1: warmer offer to the Democrats, saying that the GOP will
- 33:48Speaker 1: not object to a short term hike in the US
- 33:50Speaker 1: debt limit up to some fixed amount. MN Senator Bernie
- 33:54Speaker 1: Sanders says he's down the greates a long term. The
- 34:04Speaker 1: problem is, though, that the Democrats would still be short
- 34:06Speaker 1: of their goal, which is to suspend the debtcat through
- 34:09Speaker 1: most of next year. Anyway, They'll take what they can get. Apparently,
- 34:13Speaker 1: the current proposal that the Republicans are willing to okay
- 34:16Speaker 1: would only hike the death ceiling by enough to last
- 34:18Speaker 1: till December, which means they'll have to go through all
- 34:20Speaker 1: this rigamarole again. A top Department of Justice civil rights
- 34:25Speaker 1: officials urging Senators to restore the Voting Rights Act. Efforts
- 34:28Speaker 1: to pass new voting rights legislation of stall thanks to
- 34:31Speaker 1: the bitterly divided Senate. Democrats hoping to count of the
- 34:34Speaker 1: voting restrictions enacted in GOP dominated states. They're hoping anyway.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Authorities say that a Texas a teenager opened fire inside
- 34:42Speaker 1: of his high school yesterday, injuring four people. Eighteen year
- 34:46Speaker 1: old Timothy Simpkins turned himself in hours after the morning
- 34:49Speaker 1: rampage that was at the timber View High School in Arlington.
- 34:52Speaker 1: His family says he was being bullied and that's why
- 34:55Speaker 1: he was carrying a gun. One student is in critical condition,
- 34:58Speaker 1: another in good condition. A third pupil was listed as
- 35:02Speaker 1: treated for minor cuts and at a local hospital and released.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Yes ESPN's a Sage Seal are reportedly pulled off the
- 35:10Speaker 1: air yesterday overcommas she made during a podcast steal called
- 35:14Speaker 1: vaccine mandates sick and scary. She professed her support for
- 35:18Speaker 1: right wing conservative radio host Larry Elder, and Steele, whose
- 35:22Speaker 1: mother's white and father's black, says she didn't understand why
- 35:24Speaker 1: former President Barack Obama listed himself as only black in
- 35:28Speaker 1: the US census. In Georgia, two of the three white
- 35:31Speaker 1: men who shot and killed an innocent jogger named Ahmad
- 35:34Speaker 1: Aubury have been trying to have a picture of their
- 35:37Speaker 1: license plate not presented in court. Travis McMichael's plate features
- 35:41Speaker 1: the Confederate stars and bars, and McMichael says a picture
- 35:44Speaker 1: of that would quote not be relevant and only prejudiced
- 35:47Speaker 1: the jury all The jury selection for the trial begins
- 35:50Speaker 1: October eighteenth. Finally, nothing blurry about a Grammy Award winning
- 35:56Speaker 1: producer Farrell has made himself perfectly clear. He says he's
- 35:59Speaker 1: not bring his very popular Something in the Water Festival
- 36:02Speaker 1: to Virginia Beach this year because he's upset over the
- 36:05Speaker 1: police killing of his cousin and frustrated by the lack
- 36:08Speaker 1: of accountability for it. Local police department claiming neither of
- 36:11Speaker 1: the cops involved had their body cam on. Now back
- 36:14Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the show. Well, guys,
- 36:20Speaker 1: people are still talking about that viral video of Jacksonville
- 36:24Speaker 1: Jacksonville Jaguar's coach Urban Meyer in Ohio. Remember, he was
- 36:28Speaker 1: at the club with the woman who was not his wife,
- 36:31Speaker 1: a blonde woman. In the video, Urban touched the woman's
- 36:35Speaker 1: bottom and she was kind of, you know, backing it
- 36:38Speaker 1: up on him, dancing on him. You know, you know what.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Video about the video, but I haven't seen Okay, okay, okay,
- 36:46Speaker 1: you gotta check it out. Okay, he was busted. It
- 36:48Speaker 1: was inappropriate, man, very much. He ain't even games right,
- 36:54Speaker 1: get a pass? Okay. It was after they lost to
- 37:00Speaker 1: the Cincinnati Bengals recently that last week. Go ahead, we
- 37:10Speaker 1: can all assume his wife knows about it because he
- 37:13Speaker 1: was just one hundred percent just out there busted. Uh.
- 37:17Speaker 1: He also recently apologized to the team for his conduct
- 37:21Speaker 1: and for distracting the team. So here's a question for
- 37:23Speaker 1: the guys. I'm on, comedians, what is the worst thing
- 37:28Speaker 1: you've ever been caught doing by your partner? I'm not
- 37:32Speaker 1: answering that, damn Well, have you? Well? I agree with Tommy. Guys,
- 37:40Speaker 1: I love it. I'm with Tommy on this right here,
- 37:43Speaker 1: and I can do things I've been when I was yo.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Well that's all we want to know. You don't have
- 37:51Speaker 1: to see. I've been very since I was twenty four,
- 37:55Speaker 1: So you've been busted a lot. Jordan, five years have
- 38:01Speaker 1: been married since I was joining four? Oh my god,
- 38:05Speaker 1: the only years I didn't understand that concept. Who is
- 38:11Speaker 1: about to depth of your heart? What about if you
- 38:15Speaker 1: feel like you're dying? Can I get out now? Oh?
- 38:22Speaker 1: I've had some crazy things happened in my life. Crazy
- 38:31Speaker 1: stuff began actually in college. That's when I didn't know
- 38:35Speaker 1: how seeing more than one person could even be done
- 38:41Speaker 1: for a short period of time. Dormitory rooms is just
- 38:44Speaker 1: open the door. That's the room, you know, ain't no
- 38:48Speaker 1: way out the story. Yeah, I'm just saying that door
- 38:56Speaker 1: was opened one time and I was just standing there,
- 39:00Speaker 1: just clothing. Right. A girl, a girl I was seeing,
- 39:05Speaker 1: was friends with the girl I was other girl I
- 39:08Speaker 1: was seeing, and I didn't know it. She came over
- 39:10Speaker 1: to the dorm and opened the door and I was
- 39:15Speaker 1: standing in there with nothing known, and I was just yeah,
- 39:19Speaker 1: I was looking in the mirror trying to figure out
- 39:21Speaker 1: how the ZiT head got on my face looking in
- 39:24Speaker 1: the mirror. When I looked in the mirror, I saw
- 39:26Speaker 1: both of them behind. We gotta go. Coming up in
- 39:33Speaker 1: thirty four minutes after, we're gonna talk about Dave chappelle
- 39:36Speaker 1: new special and what he said. Right after this, you're
- 39:39Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Dave Chappelle
- 39:44Speaker 1: is making headlines for a joke he makes in his
- 39:47Speaker 1: new Netflix comedy special. It's called The Closer. Dave joked
- 39:52Speaker 1: that upsetting the LGBTQ community in the US is more
- 39:57Speaker 1: offensive than killing a black man, and he uses it
- 40:00Speaker 1: downfall of the baby's career to back it up. A
- 40:02Speaker 1: listen a lot of the LBGTQ. He doesn't know the
- 40:06Speaker 1: baby's history. He's a wild guy. He wants shot and
- 40:12Speaker 1: killed him in Walmart. Oh, this is true. Googling the
- 40:18Speaker 1: baby shot and killed in Walmart, North Carolina. Nothing bad
- 40:23Speaker 1: happened to his career. Do you see where I'm going
- 40:31Speaker 1: with this? In our country, you can shoot and kill it,
- 40:38Speaker 1: but you better not hurt the gay person's feelings. It's
- 40:44Speaker 1: this new Netflix comedy special called The Closer. Steve say
- 40:49Speaker 1: what he wanted to say, this is the freedom of
- 40:55Speaker 1: no sponsors. You could do be and this is what's
- 41:01Speaker 1: happened to comedy. Comedy is now has fallen under the
- 41:05Speaker 1: guidelines of political correctness, and I'm in disagreement with that
- 41:12Speaker 1: because comedians are our just like hip hop is. Comedians
- 41:18Speaker 1: are our reflections of ourselves. Comedians are our mirror with
- 41:23Speaker 1: the smoke gone away from it. We take the rose
- 41:25Speaker 1: colored tent off of everything. And that's what and that's
- 41:29Speaker 1: one of the reasons that I left stand up when
- 41:33Speaker 1: I did to have a television career, because if I
- 41:37Speaker 1: say something like that, I'm gone as offended as you
- 41:42Speaker 1: made about the joke. Is it not the cutting burning truth?
- 41:46Speaker 1: What he said? The genius of comedy is that we
- 41:53Speaker 1: get to phrase these cutting burning truths into forms of
- 41:57Speaker 1: humor and allow yourself to laugh fatty, you know. But
- 42:01Speaker 1: you can do this on this half, but if you
- 42:04Speaker 1: heard somebody's feeling, you can't do nothing on that half.
- 42:06Speaker 1: And the dangerous thing about that is all your jokes
- 42:10Speaker 1: has to be about somebody. I'm sorry, folks, but all
- 42:13Speaker 1: of our jokes can't be about spaceships and aliens. All
- 42:17Speaker 1: of our jokes can't be about acute video you saw
- 42:21Speaker 1: on TikTok. We can't have a career like that. We're
- 42:26Speaker 1: going to have to address the things that's out there
- 42:28Speaker 1: that everybody's looking and dealing with and put the humorous
- 42:31Speaker 1: spin on it. I don't see the damage in that
- 42:37Speaker 1: joke right there. Dave Chappelle is the only stand up
- 42:41Speaker 1: comedian living that I know of that has the abilities
- 42:45Speaker 1: to say these cutting edge things and can still have
- 42:49Speaker 1: a career because he's not sponsor driven. Hats off to
- 42:53Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle and the ability to hold true to what
- 42:58Speaker 1: this craft is about. Well, he had it again his
- 43:03Speaker 1: brand new Netflix Netflix Comedy Specialists called The Closer I'm going,
- 43:07Speaker 1: I'm right to it, and two I was hollowing. I'm
- 43:15Speaker 1: almost screaming. The first time I saw I was in
- 43:18Speaker 1: Africa and I was sitting up and I put it on.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I was hollowing. He's brilliant. He is um just f YI.
- 43:27Speaker 1: So you'll know, the baby did it meant to killing
- 43:29Speaker 1: a man in Walmart in North Carolina, just like Chappelle said.
- 43:34Speaker 1: This was back in twenty eighteen. The charges were dropped
- 43:36Speaker 1: because the baby claimed it was self defense. So there
- 43:40Speaker 1: you go. So right, many of us didn't even know
- 43:43Speaker 1: said nothing happened to his career. You see where I'm
- 43:48Speaker 1: going with this. He dropped the album's right after that.
- 43:52Speaker 1: He is not lying. He is a truth teller. You

- 44:00Speaker 1: to It's the beauty Steve, Just like you said, he
- 44:02Speaker 1: doesn't have to worry about the cancel culture. He has
- 44:07Speaker 1: nothing you can cancel, yeah, and see, but the rest
- 44:12Speaker 1: of those who do it are stripped of that. Yeah, dog,
- 44:17Speaker 1: we have less. This is the part of our that
- 44:20Speaker 1: since I've been in this business, this is the least
- 44:23Speaker 1: amount of comedians I've seen out there today that can

- 46:12Speaker 1: little meeting, like and what the deal is is this here?
- 46:16Speaker 1: I know, I know you're excited to want to marry
- 46:18Speaker 1: my cousin and she kind of excited too about the

- 47:16Speaker 1: album in two weeks until like when we had we
- 47:19Speaker 1: had the potluck barbecue. Everybody brain something? Why you ain't

- 47:40Speaker 1: you know. And for you to walk up in there
- 47:42Speaker 1: and I have none that let us know what kind
- 47:43Speaker 1: of person you're gonna be in the family. We can't
- 47:45Speaker 1: add it. Who this again? This butcher right here? I
- 47:49Speaker 1: don't know, no butcher. Look. I came to the family
- 47:52Speaker 1: gathering picnic. I came there, showed up, loving on all y'all,

- 48:02Speaker 1: The family that already voted to win the family boat dog,
- 48:04Speaker 1: that's it. I ain't marrying the family, you man. You've
- 48:08Speaker 1: married my cousin, Christian, that's what you're trying to do.
- 48:10Speaker 1: And then you ain't been the man. Huh. Look, len't

- 48:33Speaker 1: And if you're gonna come to pot lucks, then you
- 48:35Speaker 1: bring a pot. You ain't bringing nothing. I ain't gotta fear,
- 48:38Speaker 1: ain't nothing. I'm paying for this wedding. I don't get
- 48:40Speaker 1: what's you up there? All that money out and drop
- 48:42Speaker 1: for this? How about two bottles of wine to it
- 48:45Speaker 1: you when you I ain't seeing no wine. I don't
- 48:48Speaker 1: care if you got that wine or not. I saw
- 48:50Speaker 1: her mamma drinking it. Okay, well, I ain't getting no wine.
- 48:52Speaker 1: I don't remember nobody bringing no wine. See Butcher, only
- 48:55Speaker 1: see anything that go on. I got class. I don't

- 49:06Speaker 1: thousand dollars on that, hey man, I hadn't already told
- 49:08Speaker 1: you that the family didn't voted on that the wind name.
- 49:11Speaker 1: I don't give up what the family voted on. How
- 49:14Speaker 1: do I'm paid for this. I ain't heard nothing from
- 49:16Speaker 1: Christan about this. Christian might not know what we didn't
- 49:19Speaker 1: voted on. We've made the seasons sometimes for everybody. You
- 49:23Speaker 1: understand that don't include me. We'll let Christian know that
- 49:27Speaker 1: we've been to stop the wed Well, I'm just calling
- 49:29Speaker 1: to let you know before I adn't tell her what's

- 49:34Speaker 1: We ain't told Hood and we don't agree with you yet,
- 49:36Speaker 1: and then we're gonna stop the wind. We ain't told
- 49:38Speaker 1: of it. Man, get out of here. I'm paid all
- 49:40Speaker 1: this money for this. Man, you ain't stopping. Hey, man,
- 49:42Speaker 1: I hadn't already told you what we're doing, all right,
- 49:45Speaker 1: I'm nothing to continue to go back and forth with you.
- 49:47Speaker 1: You better go off my phone raising your voice at me.
- 49:50Speaker 1: I don't know, Hell, I'll tell you what. Let me
- 49:52Speaker 1: say this to you. I don't care if I got
- 49:54Speaker 1: to bust up in that church and stop this wedding
- 49:56Speaker 1: because you don't win against what we just said. Whatever
- 49:59Speaker 1: I got the do, I don't know who you with.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I wish y'all wots try to stop this wedding. Look,
- 50:05Speaker 1: we can handle it right now. I can get off
- 50:07Speaker 1: of work. I'm already going through some books and I'm
- 50:09Speaker 1: already on fire. I will come there and bust yo
- 50:12Speaker 1: right now. I don't you know what see see see
- 50:15Speaker 1: what she was going with Nigel, See Nigel A act

- 50:40Speaker 1: me where to be and we can deal with this
- 50:42Speaker 1: right now. I'm just letting you know. The family then voted,
- 50:45Speaker 1: the family that already voting. Now what we will do.
- 50:48Speaker 1: We will push the wind back and then give us
- 50:51Speaker 1: time to reevaluate you that we evaluate me. I don't

- 51:14Speaker 1: drinking that I'm trying to say, hello, Amen, I'm trying
- 51:18Speaker 1: to tell you man, right now, the family don't want
- 51:20Speaker 1: you in the family right now. I don't give about ya.
- 51:24Speaker 1: I ain't in love with y'all. I'm here and Christens.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I can give a if I see y'all ever again. Oh,

- 51:30Speaker 1: one more thing. You need to go. Don know that
- 51:32Speaker 1: while we're at it. This ain't no damn democracy. We're
- 51:35Speaker 1: getting married. That is between her and I and if
- 51:37Speaker 1: y'all I don't want to be there, jump off and
- 51:39Speaker 1: the dinner. Yeah, it's one more thing. We didn't vote
- 51:43Speaker 1: it on what the house you don't vote it on.
- 51:45Speaker 1: We voted on Mitch. This is nephew Tommy from the
- 51:48Speaker 1: Steve Horby Morning Show. Christians and Todd Family got me
- 51:53Speaker 1: the prank phone. Call you yosselor y'aselor we don't put
- 52:08Speaker 1: all that money out like that. I was like, no, Sun,
- 52:12Speaker 1: I got one more thing. I got to ask you, dog,
- 52:14Speaker 1: what is what is the baddest and I mean the
- 52:16Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the late Steve Harry Morning Show,
- 52:22Speaker 1: Baby Tommy, I'm being real with you, man, somebody gonna
- 52:26Speaker 1: you up. That's my favorite part. But you know what, though,
- 52:38Speaker 1: the thing that stood out most for me and this
- 52:40Speaker 1: plank was this twenty three thousand dollars he all in
- 52:48Speaker 1: this decision. I don't know, no damn butcher Man, I
- 52:55Speaker 1: love it. You gotta bring something to the pot luck.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Now you come in the empty hand that we don't

- 53:02Speaker 1: you gotta do this. We got to reevaluate you. You know,
- 53:06Speaker 1: we need to push this thing back a few weeks. Man.
- 53:08Speaker 1: Let us let us do a few ticks on you

- 54:28Speaker 1: We got it for it you here. It is the
- 54:30Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter, subject Bubble Bath, Bourbon and Berry's. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:35Speaker 1: My husband and I have been married for two years
- 54:38Speaker 1: and when I met him, he came from out of nowhere.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I do not know anyone that knows him and could
- 54:44Speaker 1: not vouch and could vouch for his character. I knew
- 54:47Speaker 1: he'd been married before, and I found who she was
- 54:51Speaker 1: and how she looked and carried herself on social media.
- 54:54Speaker 1: She was dressed ghetto and she loved multi colored wigs.
- 54:57Speaker 1: But she's a nurse, so she must be professional at times.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I also noticed that she was still wearing her bridle set,
- 55:07Speaker 1: the ring, and the band. I asked him if he
- 55:10Speaker 1: still talked to her, and he said only on social media.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I felt like he wasn't being truthful, so I decided
- 55:16Speaker 1: to keep an eye on him and this woman. I
- 55:19Speaker 1: never checked his phone, but I knew the pass code
- 55:22Speaker 1: to his phone out of the blue. On her second anniversary,
- 55:25Speaker 1: he called me and said he got arrested for failure
- 55:28Speaker 1: to pay a traffic fine. I got to the jail
- 55:31Speaker 1: to try to bail him out, and they said he'd
- 55:34Speaker 1: have to stay overnight. I got his belongings and found
- 55:37Speaker 1: out that he had lied about what he was arrested for.
- 55:40Speaker 1: It was for issuance of a bad check and it
- 55:43Speaker 1: was to an apartment building. I got his watch, wedding ring,
- 55:47Speaker 1: and cell phone and headed home mad as heck. I
- 55:50Speaker 1: got home and checked his phone. The first thing I
- 55:53Speaker 1: checked was his call log and texts, but and both
- 55:57Speaker 1: were deleted. I checked the pictures and there was a
- 56:00Speaker 1: video of him in one of those two our motels,
- 56:04Speaker 1: sitting in a sunken tub full of bubbles, holding a
- 56:07Speaker 1: cup of brown liquor with a bowl of blueberries beside
- 56:11Speaker 1: the tub. The ex wife was standing over him, and
- 56:15Speaker 1: I won't tell you what he was doing to her.
- 56:19Speaker 1: I'm so outdone with this nasty man, and I want
- 56:22Speaker 1: to move out while he's in jail. I found his
- 56:25Speaker 1: ex wife's phone number and told her to go bail
- 56:28Speaker 1: him out because I'm done with him. What do I
- 56:31Speaker 1: do now? Well, what do you mean? What do he
- 56:34Speaker 1: do now? I mean, I think it's quite clear what
- 56:37Speaker 1: needs to be done. You already said that you want
- 56:40Speaker 1: to leave him while he's in jail. Your husband is
- 56:43Speaker 1: cheated on you, lied to you about why he got arrested,
- 56:46Speaker 1: and more importantly, he might still be married. Is he
- 56:49Speaker 1: paying her rent to You said he was in jail
- 56:52Speaker 1: for a bad check to an apartment building. You saw
- 56:57Speaker 1: him with his ex wife with your own eyes, doing
- 57:00Speaker 1: what you didn't even want to tell us he was doing.
- 57:03Speaker 1: So you said you didn't know him very well when
- 57:06Speaker 1: you married him. It's just like he came out of nowhere,
- 57:09Speaker 1: and there was no one to vouch for his character,
- 57:12Speaker 1: So why did you marry him? Well, now you know
- 57:16Speaker 1: quite a bit about his character, So what are you
- 57:18Speaker 1: gonna do? Are you gonna stay and take the disrespect
- 57:21Speaker 1: of seeing him, you know, in videos doing whatever to
- 57:24Speaker 1: his ex wife or his current wife whatever she is
- 57:27Speaker 1: to him, or are you gonna leave and keep your
- 57:30Speaker 1: dignity those you know? That's up to you. What are
- 57:33Speaker 1: you going to do? Now that you know what's up?
- 57:35Speaker 1: You've seen it, Steve Well, Shelley's right, okay, really say
- 57:40Speaker 1: nothing about that. She's correct. Bubble bell, bourbon and berries.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Here's the first part explains his whole letter to me.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Shelley and Steve my husband and I've been married for
- 57:57Speaker 1: two years when I Mattie came out of nowhere. I
- 58:02Speaker 1: don't know anyone that knows him and could voute for
- 58:05Speaker 1: his character. I knew he'd been married before, and I
- 58:09Speaker 1: found out who she was and how she looked and
- 58:14Speaker 1: carried herself on social media. She was dressed ghetto, she
- 58:18Speaker 1: loved multi colored wigs, but she's a nurse, so she
- 58:21Speaker 1: must be a professional. At times, I also noticed that
- 58:24Speaker 1: she was still wearing her bridle set Now, I think
- 58:30Speaker 1: that you waited a little bit too late for all
- 58:33Speaker 1: this research you'd have done. It seemed to me like
- 58:41Speaker 1: you should have moved the forensic science up to the
- 58:46Speaker 1: beginning when you first met him. So now, ain't nobody
- 58:52Speaker 1: come out of nowhere? Don't ever say that because you
- 58:55Speaker 1: never mentioned y'all's age. But he's been round the whole time.
- 59:00Speaker 1: He has been growing on this planet with the rest
- 59:03Speaker 1: of us. And he has a history. That's a fact.
- 59:08Speaker 1: The fact that you didn't bother to research this history.
- 59:12Speaker 1: This is your fault. You married him too quick. So
- 59:17Speaker 1: I don't know what it was, but you just did
- 59:19Speaker 1: it too quick. Are you ask him if he still
- 59:23Speaker 1: talked to her? And he said only on social media?
- 59:27Speaker 1: Well that's talking these days, so you can say only
- 59:31Speaker 1: on social media, but text They got emojis. Now you
- 59:34Speaker 1: can see it video social media and you can FaceTime
- 59:38Speaker 1: shit chat. You know, you just go here and on
- 59:41Speaker 1: and old and all that old. So are they still talking? Yes,
- 59:48Speaker 1: So you felt like he wasn't being truthful, So now
- 59:50Speaker 1: you're gonna keep out him and this and you've never
- 59:53Speaker 1: checked this phone, but you got the pass code and
- 59:55Speaker 1: then out the blue on our second anniversary. He called
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you and said he got arrested for failure to pay
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: a traffic fine. That can happen, but you got to
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: the jail to try to bail him out, and they
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: said he'd have to stay overnight. I got his belongings
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and find out that he lied about what he was
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: arrested for. It was for in short of a bad check,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and it was to an apartment building. I got his
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: watch with mean cell phone head at home, mad ass heck, okay,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: so he lied about what he was arrested for. You
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: don't know this man, and there's more to come. Oh m,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: all right, Hold on, Steve. We'll have part two of
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after subject
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: bubble back, Bourbon and Berries. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening show, All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter, bubble bath, Bourbon and berry.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: We haven't gotten to the bubble bath, berries and bourbon
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: part yet. This is strawberries. We've now discovered that this
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: woman don't know this man. She didn't married at all,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: and through research or social media, after two years of marriage,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: she's discovering some things about this man. Well, the man
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: gets arrested. While he's arrested, she goes down to bail
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: him out on their second anniversary. He said he was
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: arrested for not paying a fine for a ticket. She
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: gets down there and find out his for insurance and
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: a bad check. She get all his belongings, watch cell phone,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: go back to the house. She had been suspicious about
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: this woman who was his X, but she's always had
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: his pass code, never checked her. She decided to check
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: call log and messages. Everything is deleted, but she finds
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: a video. She finds a video. Boy, why we keep videos? Man? Anyway,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: goes to the phone, finds a video. He's in a
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: sunken tub with a glass of brown liquor some blueberries,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: is next to the tub, and she's standing over him.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: And she don't want to say what he's doing to her.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I wish you had her No, I wanted you to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: tell us what he was doing to her, so we
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: don't have to assume what we all know what's going on.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I like to be told, see, I don't like you know,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: figure it out, you know, because when you assume, what
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: does assuming do make ass out of you and me Na.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Since we're talking about that part, we're assuming that's what happened. Anyway,
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that's not the story. I was so overdone with this
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: nasty man that I want to move out while he's
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: in jail. I found his actual I phone number told
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: her to go bail him out because I'm done with him.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: What do I do now? Shirley said it right, you
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: move out while he's in jail. You're done with the
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: nasty man. Now? How old is the video? Yeah? See,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: you didn't say that if it's from when they was
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: married and it's just a video. Now, you called him
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: a nasty man because he ain't never did that you, yeah, man,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: if he doing it, I'm assuming he didn't think it
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: was Nash. But you know we've all seen Janet Jackson,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Miss Jackson. If you nasty, now, I'm saying, that's fine
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: with me sometimes nasty. Ain't ain't nothing wrong with nasty
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: if you you know, if that's what you want, Yeah,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: he'll beat, give me a beat a lately rhythm Nation Star.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: You know, so, I don't know your definition to nasty.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: If his definition nash is two different things. I'm going
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: around in a circle with this because you already know
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: what to do. You don't know the man, you don't
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: trust him now, and now he's lied about this. You
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: want to move out while he's in jail. Hand move out.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: It's really nothing I can give you. What are you
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: gonna wait on the rest of it to come out?
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Because it's some mote. Oh, it's some more. This is
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: just what you found out. Listen to me. Whenever you
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: find out something, it's some moment. It's always more. But
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to be honest, you cannot have a relationship with a
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: person that's been around and not expect to see some
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: history show up. That's life. We all have history. And
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: so now if you're waiting to find somebody ain't got
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: no history, then you got to start dating sixteen yell
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: and lady. That ain't gonna work out for you. You'll
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: be in jail. Yeah, yeah, we already know who are
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: jailed right as he should be. In the words of
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Little Douvo, if you really believe you can fly, nah
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: would be good. So that's the response. I don't have
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: nothing for this young lady. She knows what the deal is.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: It's clear, and you can stick around and wait and
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: hear what he say. When he get out, but it's
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: gonna be more the same. And so now there you
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: have it. I don't know what else to say, Shirley, Okay,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I mean that was good. Sometimes that's all you can say.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: You know, you can't help everybody. I think he helped
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: her just fine. I'm glad it was blueberries, like I said,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and he is paying her rent. Right. He wrote the
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: bad check to the apartment building. What was that? A
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: bad chick. That's why he's in jail. Hot checks. Yeah,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: because that money is immediate. They don't chase checks. No more, no, no,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: ain't no. Yeah, all right, all right, thanks Steve. Post
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: your comments on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook. Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: on demand coming up at forty six minutes after the
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: hour Sports Talk with Junior. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: top of the hour. It's Carla's Reality Update. But right
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: now it is time for Junior with Sports Talk. What
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: you got Junior? All right? Everybody Fight Weekend Alert on
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Fight Weekend Alert. Alright, boy, okay, you read it. I
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: just need to know how are we gonna look at
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: this man? Deante wild Of Tyson Fury number three? Yeah,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: this weekend, I'm gonna have to go with you on
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: this woman's in Vegas, Junior. It's in Vegas at T
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Mobile Arena. Timmy, we should go, man, we should that
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: jet around here. Let's come on. I won't be in town,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: but I'm sorry. I wanted to go. You don't need him.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: Ja here with you? Is the jet here? Give me
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: your pilot. How is he gonna get out of town? Nephew?
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Who who you got? Look at this? How you look
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: at this fight? I definitely want Wilder to win because
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: I like him. Here's here's the problem, Tyson Fury. When
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: got that boy, Emmanuel Emmanuel Sander's nephew. Yeah, I sat
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: in front. Right behind me was Mike Tyson on one
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: side and Thomas Hearns on the other side. They told
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: us exactly. They told me exactly what was gonna happen.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: They knew, but c D got that boy from that
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: crunch gym. That know just enough for Emmanuel Sanders. Did
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: that change? Tyson Fury? If Wilder now he got rid
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: of breathing because he threw in the tie. Mark Brilling
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: was not the problem. The problem is the trainer, the
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: guy that gets up in the ring that works on
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: the strategy for Wilder. I do not like him. I
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: do not think he is the guy. And if they
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: don't understand that they are fighting a soft paw, and
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: if they ain't talking to Wilder about where his foot
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: placement need to be, then the results it's gonna be
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: the same. Because if Wilder is the hardest hitting heavyweight ever,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: but you didn't throw not one of them. Hey, makeup
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: punches at Wilder. I mean that fury. Yeah, it's gonna
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: be oly Man. But I'm pulling for Dante wild But
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: if I'm getting my butt, whoop lantime, throw in the
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: town that little stool, throw everything and then get them
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: up off me. Mate. Throw some people in there and
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: the ring girl. Throw that UNDR. Throw that in there,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: that spit bucking in there, the water, it's the round number.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Throw to Mike in the ring, and the commentate your
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: heill throw the bell in here ill j Thank you.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Thanks guys. Coming up at the top of the hour
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Carla's Reality Update. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Morning Show. Come on, Tommy and you douce that girl.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: She is here. All right, ladies and gentlemen, she is here.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Call a Ferrell with what reality update coming in hot?
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew, thank you surely. Okay. So in the
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: real Housewifs of Potomac, what is going on with Candice?
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: What is her problem? We see Monique told y'all last
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: season her mouth. Monique told y'all that's why she snatched
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the last season they left the show. But anyway, Wendy
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: and her husband Eddie, they hosted a couple's trip and
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Mia and her husband Gee arrived. They were getting settled
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: in doing shots, drinking, and the more guests came and
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Gee is a little bit off the chain. He had
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: tipsy and then he told his wife Mia to shut
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: the f ups that go down. I don't excuse that.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Don't excuse that, but din't care the same way anyway
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: they've been not say it. But basically he was trying
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: to surprise her with a phone call I think from
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: like a car dealer or something like that, to let
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: her know on the surprise announcement phone call with a
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: car dealer on speaker phone that she was getting a
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: g Wagon, that he was getting her customized g wagon.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: So that's why I guess he was trying to tell
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: her to be quiet so he could tell her all that. Anyway,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: the ladies went into the room to talk, and then
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Mia and Candice they got into it again. Things got heated.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Then Mia called her BFF or she got on the
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: phone with her BF and basically was walking around and
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: telling her BF on the phone that she was around
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: some broke b words, if you will, I guess, referring
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: to the women there on the trip. Candice heard that,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and Candice said, your mama is a broke B word.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: No it should have, but no it didn't. Mia kind
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: of you know, they had a house on a beach, so,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: oh my goodness. So anyway, we all know that, you know, Mia,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: she's trying to mend her relationship with her mother and
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: her mother she grew up. Her mother was a drug addict,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: so saying stuff like that it's really mean and harmful
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: to Mia. So I don't know, Candice needs to slow down.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Her mouth is gonna get hurt in a lot of trouble. Anyway,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: they went back to the kitchen Karen and Ashley. They
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: finally arrived. Mia tells Karen basically that Candice is mean.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: That's what she's basically saying to her. And then they
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: got into it again and then Mia tells Candice your video,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: your music video was low budget, because you remember Candice
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: did the whole music video in the parking lot. Then
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: Candace said, your mama's low budget. That's the second time.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Why she still on the episode right this second time
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: talking about this girl's mama. Well, Candice through some let
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: us at Mia, Mia through, let us back at Candice.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: So we will see next week what happens. It was
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: a salad fight time, my mom, and I'm gonna throw
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: some letters at you that that letters has got to
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: be on the plate. You really go get served the salad. Yeah,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: it was really it was really mean. And check this out, Shirley.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: You do remember that the whole theme of the trip
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: was supposed to be good vibes only video. Yeah, GVO,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: that's supposed to be the theme of this strip. Not
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: starting out that way, good vibes only. So we will
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: check it out again next week, and then quickly before
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: we run out of time, I want to remind everybody

- 1:15:23Speaker 1: or tell Me Something Good segment right after this. You're
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show and are tell
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Me Something Good segment. Black Girl Magic is finally making
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: its way into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. NPR
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: reports that Marian Croak and late doctor Patricia Bath will
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: make history as the first ever black women inducted into
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: the Hall. Croak, a current Google executive, invented voice over IP,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: which allows users to make calls over the Internet and
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: holds over two hundred patents. Meanwhile, doctor Bath created a
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: medical device used in surgeries to easily extract cataracts. Okay,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: these women are not playing. Whoa that playing? Yes, she
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: was also the first black woman doctor to receive a patent,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: So congratulations to both these ladies. So both these inventive doctors,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: you know. So that's wonderful. Yeah. It is also some
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: more good news. Thrive Cosmetics, this is a cosmetics company
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: based in Los Angeles, donated one hundred thousand dollars steed
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: of a two million dollar funding goal to the University
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: of Louisiana to start what would become the Brianna Brianna
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Taylor Memorial Endowment. So that's great news for that UM
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: scholarship recipient who like Brianna, have dreams of pursuing nursing
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: and medical related careers are eligible. So all around, good news,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: good news. We need some good news, all right, and
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: up at thirty three minutes after the hour right after
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: this you're listening show. All right, guys, time now for
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: ask the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey into the building.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: This one is from Donna in Mobile, Alabama. Donna writes,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: my mother and I are at odds because she owes
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: me money. It's been over sixty days that I loaned
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: her money for an outpatient procedure, and I meet my money.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: My mother is in her early sixties and she's having
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: trouble growing old gracefully. The only problem with that is
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: that she doesn't have the money for the cosmetic procedures
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: she wants monthly. I am a single mom with two girls,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: and I don't have that luxury of botox and lashes
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: every month. How do I get my money back and
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: stop her from using me? Well, why don't you do this?
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: This is what I've done. You may not want to
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: hear this one, but this is what I've done. It's
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: called I I buy people out of my life. Now,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I'm not saying you get rid of your mother. Listen
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: to me carefully. Once you give me money and you
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: do not return it, cool, you are now purchased out
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: of my life. You can't come to me for nothing else.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: You can't ask me now if your mom is doing
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: all this surgery, these cosmetic surgeries, you have to stop
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: participating in it. You are single mother, I don't have it,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: and I remember the last time I gave you the money,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: you didn't return it, So no, I don't have it.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Now you're gonna have to do You're gonna have to
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: do it like that. Secondly, don't loan out nothing. Do
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: not loan money that you cannot afford to lose. If
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: you can afford to lose it, don't loan it because
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: there's a good chance they're not gonna pay it back.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: So don't give away nothing to nobody you need back,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: including mama, especially for naught. Look if your mama had
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: needed surgery to save her life, I mean, I'm all
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: in for that. But you want some boattox and some lashes.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: That's my mother in law to mama. You're gonna have
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: to get somebody. I've seen a commercial for all mascarrol
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: that lengthens and thickens. You're gonna have to go that route.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: We're not gonna you know that though. Stick TV shi.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: This is from Sincere in Jacksonville. Sincere says, I'm thirty
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: nine years old and my boyfriend is thirty seven. He
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: works as a fashion editor for an offline site, and
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: he thinks he's ready for the cover of GQ. Magazine
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: all the time. I'm more on the conservative side and
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: I don't care to wear designer clothes all the time
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: or have expensive purses. When I met him, he was
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: basic like me, and over time he reinvented himself. I
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: told him that he needs someone flashy, but he said
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: he loves me. It's he outgrowing me. That's interesting. Interesting
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: as you, as I was listening to the question, I
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: was going to say, you said he reinvented himself. Well,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: he's actually grown into something he loves. Maybe he loved
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: fashion and loves being a fashion editor, and he was
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: very simple then, but then he wanted more. He became that.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Coming up, it is our last break of the day,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: and at forty nine minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: some closing remarks from the one and only, our fearless leader,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: our Captain Steve Harvey. Right after this you're listening show.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: the day on this Thursday, one day before our favorite
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: day of the week. But it's been a good day. Well,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: been a good day today. I thank the Lord's Day. Yeah,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: you got for Steve. I don't know, Shirley. I was
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: kind of debate, going back in, back and forth. But
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: you know, the one thing I've learned in my life
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: that I'll share with you today is I do understand
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: that the things that you're planning and hoping for in
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: life for all of us, that they're not happening at
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the pace we wanted to happen. That's usually always the case,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: even with me. I find myself constantly, man, because I
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: have so many dreams and aspirations. I keep finding myself
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: looking for them and anticipating them and putting my own
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: timelines on things when I think things should have happened,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: and then when they don't happen. After readjust my thinking
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: charge sort of realign my time latin still be okay
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: with the fact that it hasn't happened yet. That's hard
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: to do as a human being, it really really is.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: But I've had to learn something, and I'm constantly battling
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: myself with this. So if you want of those people
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: that's kind of having the same feelings, I'm gonna show
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: you something. I had to come to terms with everything
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: you've asked God for everything that you are willing to
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: put forth an maximum effort to attain every dream and
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: vision that you have that's good and righteous will come
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: to pass. But it will come to pass in God's
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: perfect timing. That's the thing. Man in his perfect timing.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: You hear old people say he may not come when
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: you want it, but he's always on time. He has
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: never been late. He's never missed an appointment, he's never
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: missed a mission, he's never missed his deadline, his deadline.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Because you have to understand that if you're believer, if
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: you love God and you're calling on him, he's always there.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: But it's going to happen in his perfect timing. And
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I can assure you, if you anything like me, his
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: timing it were off from the one I had in mind.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: It usually always is. So I've had to understand that
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: everything happens for a reason. Have you ever had something
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: happened to you and while it was happening to you,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: it was actually happening to you, but being done to
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: you by someone else? Excuse me? And you sit there
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: and you go, wait a minute, God, you know I
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: haven't done this, but you're allowing for this to happen
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: and this person is doing it to me. Well, let
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: me give you another thoughts or ever had to pick
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: up on that God never puts more on you than
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: you can bear, and he uses his soldiers, his strong soldiers,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: to teach lessons and do other things that other people
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: need to learn and know. Let me just give you
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: an example. Somebody's doing something to me right now and
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: they just flat out lying. They are just flat out lying,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: and they're doing something to me, and I know they're lying. Now.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: If I come out with this publicly because I'm famous,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: it's not a blog. If I talk about it or
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: bring it up, it becomes a news conference. So I
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: have to sit still because that would be taking matters
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: into my own hands. But what's really happening to me,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: and what sometimes it's happening to you, is God is
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: teaching another person a real lesson about messing with his
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: And sometimes what feels like it's being done to you,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: if you think about it, ain't really nothing happening to you.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: That you might be a little long comfortable with it,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: but really it's not going to change anything. And this
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: person can be skipping through life thinking they're doing something,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: they're gonna get away with something they're not. They not.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: But you are the instrument in this thing called life
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: that's being used to prove several points. But remember, God
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: ain't gonna put more on you than you can bear.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: He never does. He never takes you to the point
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: where you just can't. I've been to give up, now
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: you don't. You've never given up before. You've always survived it.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: And so I've had to learn those two things that
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I have to wait on God's perfect timing, and that
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: everything that's happening in my life ain't causing me. It's
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: two people got to learn something in this. I have
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: to learn to trust in him, because all things work
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: for the good for those who love the Lord. I
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: love him, So whatever's happening in my life is working
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: out for the good. Now it may be to teach
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: somebody else a lesson. It might be what he needs
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: them to go through so he can show them something.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: But you're gonna be just fine. So learning that everything
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: that's happening in your life is happening for a reason,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: and on the other side of it, it's something absolutely
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: wonderful you. It has taught me to stay strong when
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: I'm going through those difficult moments, and it's also taught
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: me and I've learned to trust in his perfect timing,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: because man, it's not gonna happen when you want it too.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: It almost never does. But when it finally does happen,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: ask yourself something, don't it be right? It be right?
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: When it really go down, it really be right. And
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: then it go down in a way where it k
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: nobody come behind him and undo it. That's the deal.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Those are the two things I've had to learn. And
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: then trust in him because all things work for the
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: good for those who love him. I love him and
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: he loves me, and everything goes according to his purpose.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: It's all gonna work out. It's gonna line up. Man.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: I know a little crazy sometime for hanging here, y'all.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: God is always coming. You just got to believe. Those
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: are my closer remark. Y'all have a good one today,
