- 1:44Speaker 1: turn out to the water, the water. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your back that it, huh? I sure will a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey, I got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show him just trying to give God some back,
- 2:17Speaker 1: just some back of what even gave me, just a portion,
- 2:21Speaker 1: you know. Just I'm just trying, man to to show
- 2:26Speaker 1: some type of gratitude for all his blessings. I'm just
- 2:30Speaker 1: trying to man, just just get it right sometimes, you
- 2:36Speaker 1: know what I mean. I mean, man, you just can't
- 2:38Speaker 1: do what you want to do and just live wrong
- 2:40Speaker 1: all the time. Man, you got it at one point
- 2:42Speaker 1: in time, Steve, come home. Man, come on, man, you
- 2:45Speaker 1: could do better. I know you can, you know saying,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and you know what I had to do. I had
- 2:50Speaker 1: to stop saying. I'm gonna try to do better, and
- 2:53Speaker 1: I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going to
- 2:55Speaker 1: do better. You know, trying it is just to put
- 2:59Speaker 1: forth an effort and then if it don't work, well okay.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But if you make up in your mind and I'm
- 3:03Speaker 1: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:08Speaker 1: it done is the only thing that matters. Sin It's
- 3:10Speaker 1: the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to
- 3:13Speaker 1: win the game, or we're gonna go out here to
- 3:15Speaker 1: win the game. Now, trying to win the game means
- 3:18Speaker 1: that you could lose. But when you got in your
- 3:21Speaker 1: mind made up, most athletes will tell you that they
- 3:24Speaker 1: go out there with the full intent and purpose of
- 3:27Speaker 1: winning and winning. Only see they don't put the second
- 3:31Speaker 1: place finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second place don't
- 3:34Speaker 1: get you there. You got to win. And now take
- 3:38Speaker 1: it out of the scope of athletics, but keep it
- 3:40Speaker 1: in that type of type of analogy in life. Man,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you just want to you want to win in life,
- 3:45Speaker 1: don't you. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 3:47Speaker 1: don't you want to be on the cover of Sports
- 3:49Speaker 1: Illustrated the life Don't you want to be recognized for
- 3:52Speaker 1: your hard work. Don't you want, you know, to be
- 3:56Speaker 1: recognized within the bonus structure down at your job. Don't
- 3:59Speaker 1: you want to have your plaque up on the wall
- 4:02Speaker 1: down at your job? I mean most people do. Some
- 4:04Speaker 1: people could care less. Some people don't care about looking
- 4:07Speaker 1: good or being their best. And that's cool. But I
- 4:08Speaker 1: ain't talking to them though. I'm talking to you. I'm
- 4:11Speaker 1: talking to those of you who want to be the
- 4:14Speaker 1: best you can be. You know, people kill me when
- 4:17Speaker 1: they're getting mad at people here and he Brown knows
- 4:20Speaker 1: and he hall up on an employee of them. All. Man,
- 4:22Speaker 1: the dude doing his job to the best of his ability,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and he getting recognized for it? What they got to do?
- 4:27Speaker 1: It all that you're talking about because you ain't up there.
- 4:29Speaker 1: There's an amazing man, how people describe other people's success.
- 4:33Speaker 1: He's so lucky, lucky? Hey man, don't they kind of
- 4:36Speaker 1: get you a little bit when people call you lucky?
- 4:39Speaker 1: When let me tell you what luck really is, y'all.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Luck is when hard work bumps up into opportunity. Some
- 4:46Speaker 1: people call that luck. But hold on, let's think about this.
- 4:50Speaker 1: If you wasn't working hard an opportunity presented itself, what
- 4:54Speaker 1: would you call that. But see, when you've been working hard,
- 4:57Speaker 1: an opportunity presents itself and it bumps up into each other.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Now people want to call that luck. But hold up here,
- 5:03Speaker 1: go to part though to day, ain't paying no attention
- 5:04Speaker 1: to Yeah, that opportunity came by. But if you had
- 5:07Speaker 1: not been working hard and the hard work had not
- 5:10Speaker 1: ran up in the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir,
- 5:12Speaker 1: it's not luck, it's work. It is work, because as
- 5:16Speaker 1: a scripture that says, faith without works is dead. But
- 5:21Speaker 1: my mama was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Though Now I know different between right and wrong, just
- 5:26Speaker 1: like you do. You ain't gotta you know itcus me
- 5:29Speaker 1: when people write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong for this?
- 5:32Speaker 1: You know? Gooding? Well, look at let's read your letter?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Are you wrong for this? You know you're wrong? What
- 5:37Speaker 1: you don't need that's to be telling, you know? But
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this anyway. Well e see, go ahead, though,
- 5:42Speaker 1: do what you want to do. But you know what, y'all,
- 5:45Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. This is
- 5:47Speaker 1: what I really came to talk about this morning, but
- 5:50Speaker 1: I got sidetrack because I listened, get out of your
- 5:54Speaker 1: own way. So many of us are blocking our home
- 5:57Speaker 1: blessings were just in our own way. We are in
- 6:02Speaker 1: our own way. And one of the most dangerous ways
- 6:05Speaker 1: you can get in your way is to do it
- 6:08Speaker 1: your way, to get it figured your way, and to
- 6:12Speaker 1: lock in on your way and just the way it's
- 6:14Speaker 1: got to go. Do you know how many people are
- 6:17Speaker 1: blocking a blessing? Do you know how long I blocked
- 6:19Speaker 1: mine with that mindset? Right there? Look, because it's the
- 6:24Speaker 1: way you do it, Do you think that make it
- 6:26Speaker 1: the right way? You think jazz because you didn't thought
- 6:29Speaker 1: on it long and hard, and that's what you really want.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Do you really think that your way is the right
- 6:34Speaker 1: way or could that be a better way? See? Until
- 6:37Speaker 1: I started listening to God and started paying attention to
- 6:40Speaker 1: his way, man, I was spending my wheels. Man, I
- 6:44Speaker 1: was out here so determined this how I was going
- 6:46Speaker 1: to do it. But you know I had to learn
- 6:48Speaker 1: how to get out of my own way because just
- 6:50Speaker 1: because I could do it my way didn't mean it
- 6:53Speaker 1: was the right way. I had to get out of
- 6:56Speaker 1: my own way. Just get out your way, man, Now,
- 7:02Speaker 1: what what does that mean? That means? See? Set your goals.
- 7:08Speaker 1: That means have your dreams. That I'm saying, set your goals. Man,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I ain't saying don't set goals. Listen to me. Set
- 7:16Speaker 1: your goals. What is it you want to happen? What
- 7:19Speaker 1: is it you like to have? What is it you
- 7:21Speaker 1: like to be? What are you aspire to? Set your
- 7:24Speaker 1: goals and set your dreams. Now take your goals and
- 7:29Speaker 1: your dreams to God and ask God to show you how. Man,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you can save yourself a lot of pain. Listen to
- 7:38Speaker 1: somebody who did it his way for so long. And
- 7:42Speaker 1: when I finally got out of my way, out of
- 7:45Speaker 1: my own way. When you've heard old people say, let
- 7:48Speaker 1: go and let God, you've heard them say that I didn't.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I didn't get it, but I got it. Now let
- 7:55Speaker 1: go and let God. And it's amazing little saying. Though
- 7:58Speaker 1: now you know you may not get it now. It
- 8:00Speaker 1: took me a bunch of years to get it too.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But when I took my goals and my dreams and
- 8:06Speaker 1: my vision to God and I said, God, this is
- 8:09Speaker 1: what I hope for, this is what I aspired to,
- 8:11Speaker 1: this is what I want to be, this is why
- 8:12Speaker 1: I would love to get to. Then I said help me,
- 8:17Speaker 1: show me how point me in the right direction. Let
- 8:20Speaker 1: me follow your footsteps, guide me and give me a
- 8:24Speaker 1: spirit of discernment. Show me who wrong? Because I meet
- 8:27Speaker 1: people every day. Ain't up to no good with me
- 8:30Speaker 1: every single day. Oh man, Man, I can't believe I
- 8:34Speaker 1: run up into you. Man, the Lord told me something's
- 8:36Speaker 1: gonna happen to me today. Well, see, I talked to
- 8:39Speaker 1: him every day. He did not mention you to me.
- 8:42Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing to me. He didn't tell me
- 8:45Speaker 1: what was gonna happen in mind. Now, I don't mean
- 8:46Speaker 1: it can't happen because I'm open to it. So really, man,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm and and please know I'm listening as well as
- 8:54Speaker 1: I've ever listened before. But but get yourself together, though,
- 8:58Speaker 1: see no your goals in your dreams, and then let
- 9:00Speaker 1: God show you how to do it. He'll do it.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You know. It's so important everybody, that you get focused,
- 9:07Speaker 1: that you aim for something, that you dream of something,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that you aspire to something. But it's the most the
- 9:13Speaker 1: best thing you can do. After you do all that, Man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: get God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose? You
- 9:21Speaker 1: ain't got to go down there and make no big
- 9:23Speaker 1: scene and run laps around the church and run up
- 9:26Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 9:29Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in the air. You ain't
- 9:31Speaker 1: got to do that. This you and God, man, This,
- 9:33Speaker 1: you and God. You know you got to serve and
- 9:36Speaker 1: praise him the way you do it. You gotta let
- 9:38Speaker 1: nobody else tell you highs done. It's a personal relationship.
- 9:41Speaker 1: People kill me if you don't do it this way.
- 9:43Speaker 1: If you don't come here to this church and you
- 9:45Speaker 1: don't run around in this circle and you don't get
- 9:47Speaker 1: flipped in the air, you don't, Hey, man, you better
- 9:49Speaker 1: go have a relationship with God. See what that's about.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You understand? Nobody throw you off with all that? All right,
- 9:54Speaker 1: all right, y'all talk to him. He loves to hear
- 9:56Speaker 1: from you today. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. Man, have
- 10:03Speaker 1: your undivided attention. Please welcome all rise, hear ye, hear ye.
- 10:09Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning shown. Man. Do you
- 10:13Speaker 1: know why I sound glad a lot lately? Because I
- 10:18Speaker 1: have reached a new level of gratitude with my heavenly Father.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I just really man started understanding that and really really
- 10:28Speaker 1: facing the fact that the more gratitude I showed, the
- 10:32Speaker 1: more things he'll give me to be grateful for. So
- 10:35Speaker 1: I just decided to make it a very very conscious
- 10:37Speaker 1: effort to stay grateful, stay in touch with him, talk
- 10:41Speaker 1: with him continually, stop trying to figure my life out,
- 10:44Speaker 1: ask him what it is he wants me to do.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Give us this day our daily bread. And I'm telling you, man,
- 10:52Speaker 1: that that simple change right there has made a world
- 10:55Speaker 1: of difference in my outlook. And when you change your outlook,
- 10:59Speaker 1: you change outcome. So here it is. This is a
- 11:02Speaker 1: new day. This show has dedicated everybody with a great
- 11:04Speaker 1: outlook today, Ladies and gentleman Sherley Strong Bear, Hey, Steve,
- 11:08Speaker 1: good morning, good morning, good morning. He is who I know,
- 11:12Speaker 1: got a good outlook, junior boss. Hey, I'm healthy and
- 11:15Speaker 1: I ain't in that hospital. I'm good. It's a good day,
- 11:18Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. A man who has to be grateful,
- 11:21Speaker 1: fresh out of sy ain't no telling what happened. We
- 11:25Speaker 1: will find out Top top UNC Steve Sherlett, Jiminia top
- 11:29Speaker 1: of the morning. So how was it, man? I wasn't
- 11:35Speaker 1: operation and everything? What happened? It was good. Two hour
- 11:38Speaker 1: operation count back to five. I think I got to two,
- 11:42Speaker 1: and when I woke up it was two hours later.
- 11:46Speaker 1: To put me under man, I said, I'm cool. Long
- 11:48Speaker 1: as I look around the room, I make sure Conrad murrying,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and as long as he ain't the one yeah putting
- 11:53Speaker 1: me down, I'm good. You are, yes, long with Conrad
- 12:02Speaker 1: ain't in that, I'm good. But I will tell y'all
- 12:05Speaker 1: the nephew did make y'all proud and embarrassed myself. I
- 12:08Speaker 1: did do that. You made us no doubt about that. Okay,
- 12:14Speaker 1: so I wake up up. If you didn't have a
- 12:17Speaker 1: stupid steward, go ahead. I woke up two hours, lunked out.
- 12:20Speaker 1: They threw at the surgeon. The nurse standing over. She says,
- 12:23Speaker 1: we're done. I say, that's it. He said, we've been
- 12:25Speaker 1: gone for two hours. I said, you're serious. He said yes.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And I'm sitting there in the gown. But I remember,
- 12:31Speaker 1: you know, when I went in, I had the gown
- 12:34Speaker 1: and my underwear on, and I said, hey, hey, what
- 12:37Speaker 1: my underwear? I went in there with underwear. Well, Tommy,
- 12:42Speaker 1: you had a bit of an accident during the search.
- 12:47Speaker 1: And then and my wife in the back corner. You
- 12:49Speaker 1: peete on yourself doing surgeon Bardell putting it in place.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Yeah you did. I'm telling everybody yourself you're surgery. Did
- 13:10Speaker 1: you tell anybody? Did you tell anybody in that damn hospital?
- 13:14Speaker 1: That was nephew comments They knew that day, Jana, and
- 13:19Speaker 1: you just tell bought the name all the way down.
- 13:25Speaker 1: WHOA Okay? Well, uh wow, nephew coming up at thirty
- 13:30Speaker 1: two after, we're gonna talk about the first public impeachment hearings.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Unless you have more to say, nephew, Uncle Steve. Wow,
- 13:41Speaker 1: We're gonna do that right after this. You're listening to
- 13:45Speaker 1: the morning show, all right. So TikTok, TikTok. Yesterday was
- 13:50Speaker 1: the first public impeachment hearing um. The Democrats decided to
- 13:55Speaker 1: start the hearings with two State Department witnesses, Bill Taylor,
- 13:59Speaker 1: the top US diplomat in Ukraine, and Deputy Assistant Secretary
- 14:03Speaker 1: of State George Kent. Both Taylor and Kent have long
- 14:07Speaker 1: careers and deep experience with Ukraine in particular, and both
- 14:10Speaker 1: are rather appalled by what President Trump did with Ukraine.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Democratic Chairman Adam Schiff said in his opening statement, is
- 14:18Speaker 1: this what Americans should now expect from their president. Take
- 14:23Speaker 1: a listen. Is this what Americans should now expect from
- 14:26Speaker 1: their president? If this is not an impeachable conduct, what
- 14:30Speaker 1: is does the oath of office itself requiring that our
- 14:33Speaker 1: laws be faithfully executed, that our president defend a constitution
- 14:36Speaker 1: that balances the powers of its branches, setting ambition against ambition,
- 14:41Speaker 1: So we become no monarchy, still have meaning. These are
- 14:45Speaker 1: the questions we much ask an answer without rank, or
- 14:48Speaker 1: if we can without delay, regardless and without party favor,
- 14:52Speaker 1: and without prejudice, if we are true to our responsibilities.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Benjamin Franklin was asked what kind of a country America
- 14:58Speaker 1: was to become public. He answered, if you can keep it.
- 15:02Speaker 1: The fundamental issue raised by the impeachment in Korean too,
- 15:05Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump, is can we keep it without prejudice
- 15:13Speaker 1: and without partisanship? Yeah, two things that this country is
- 15:20Speaker 1: not really good at all. So here we go. We've
- 15:26Speaker 1: started the inquiry process for impeachment. The Republicans are gonna
- 15:31Speaker 1: sit over there and just go, he's done nothing impeachable. Uh,
- 15:36Speaker 1: you know, he's done apps. There was no prope whatever
- 15:40Speaker 1: they call it or whatever they want to call it.
- 15:43Speaker 1: That was none of that he's done nothing illegal. The
- 15:49Speaker 1: economy is booming. Uh, there's we've got enough people that
- 15:54Speaker 1: says that that's not what he was doing, and that's
- 15:58Speaker 1: where they're gonna sit. But also I got what they're
- 16:01Speaker 1: gonna sit. Are we being aggressive though? Are the Democrats
- 16:05Speaker 1: being a press? Well let me say this. I saw
- 16:08Speaker 1: the opening and Um, the Democrats laid out their case.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They definitely have a case. Uh. The Republicans tried to
- 16:19Speaker 1: stop Adam Shipp in his opening statement at every turn.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I think his name is Jim Jordan, the one they
- 16:25Speaker 1: called the bulldog. He was on Ready set go. Did
- 16:30Speaker 1: have a question though, yeah, wish Yeah, Adam Schiff handled
- 16:34Speaker 1: himself very well. It was dignified. Uh, they have they
- 16:37Speaker 1: do have a case. Uh. Bill Taylor, Ambassador Taylor and
- 16:43Speaker 1: Deputy Secretary of State George Kent. They both spoke very well.
- 16:47Speaker 1: They spoke their truth. So, um, that's all I got
- 16:49Speaker 1: a chance to see today. Yeah, I didn't see it.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I'm still out the country. But here's here's here's my problem.
- 16:58Speaker 1: The Democrats. I believe they do have a case. I
- 17:01Speaker 1: believe that in the House he will get voted to
- 17:07Speaker 1: take it to impeachment. But when it gets to the Senate,
- 17:10Speaker 1: whether Republicans have the majority. I don't see how it's
- 17:14Speaker 1: gonna get out of the Senate. And it has to
- 17:16Speaker 1: get out of the Senate to become an impeachable offense,
- 17:20Speaker 1: to my understanding, that's the way it works. Yes, so
- 17:23Speaker 1: I don't see they're gonna hold party, Lineman. This is
- 17:27Speaker 1: the most racially divided and bipartisanship I've ever seen. Ever.
- 17:34Speaker 1: They don't work across the out on a damn that
- 17:37Speaker 1: bipartisan whatever that bipartisan means, they work together, Democrats and
- 17:42Speaker 1: Republicans partison. If they don't, yeah, well they ain't dead.
- 17:46Speaker 1: But but to I mean abuse of power for sure,
- 17:51Speaker 1: abuse of power for sure. So we'll see how it goes. Uh.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It was just crazy, uh, David Nunez his opening statement,
- 18:02Speaker 1: I mean it read like, uh like he was doing
- 18:05Speaker 1: a TV show or or lines from a movie or something.
- 18:09Speaker 1: It was just um. Anyway, it's going to go on
- 18:13Speaker 1: this week and next week as the witnesses continue to
- 18:16Speaker 1: come in and tell their side of the story. So
- 18:18Speaker 1: we'll be watching, of course. Are they showing this on Fox? Yes,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I ever ChIL okay, Yeah, then that's gonna be interesting.
- 18:29Speaker 1: That's gonna be interesting because a lot of Fox viewers
- 18:33Speaker 1: have never seen the facts that CNN lays out because
- 18:37Speaker 1: Fox don't report that. Fox does not report everything that
- 18:42Speaker 1: the President has done, every lie he's told. They don't,
- 18:46Speaker 1: they don't, they don't show it that way. They just
- 18:49Speaker 1: flat out don't report a lot of what he does.
- 18:52Speaker 1: And that's what keeps his U base energized. It's gonna
- 18:55Speaker 1: be real interesting when all of them sitting now. He'll
- 18:58Speaker 1: lose some support, but his bay, those people are just
- 19:04Speaker 1: And the thing about it was that what I did
- 19:08Speaker 1: learn from it, Steve, the takeaway was that Rudy Giuliani
- 19:12Speaker 1: is our secretary of State. Hey, and I don't know.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Giuliani was hoping dim to shut up talking. Yea, so
- 19:19Speaker 1: he needed to be in now. Yeah, forget Mike Pompeo.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Rudy Giuliani is a Secretary of State. Okay, he was
- 19:26Speaker 1: handling our forum foreign policy. Well, guys. The next plan
- 19:30Speaker 1: hearing is on Friday, when former US Ambassador to Ukraine
- 19:34Speaker 1: Marie Ivanovitch is slated to testify. That's a woman that
- 19:37Speaker 1: was fired. She was ousted from her post back in April,
- 19:41Speaker 1: so she wasn't around from any of the key events
- 19:43Speaker 1: of this scandal, but her fate is sort of prologue
- 19:47Speaker 1: to the story, since she is viewed as the victim
- 19:49Speaker 1: of a smearpan campaign from the president's lawyer. Here's its
- 19:53Speaker 1: name again, Rudy Giuliani and his Ukrainian allies that the
- 19:57Speaker 1: President claims he doesn't know, but he's in all these
- 19:59Speaker 1: pictures with them. So um, it's interesting. Yeah, it's very interesting. Yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: interesting to watch. Rudy is in a lot of trouble. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: he's not gonna testify. Man, I don't believe nothing this guy. No.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I think he's just gonna refuse. And you can indict

- 29:10Speaker 1: Everyone's going to be picking me apart to see if
- 29:13Speaker 1: I'm sexy enough to hold this title. I'm also following

- 32:47Speaker 1: Now Steve for today's headlines, A sexy man alive, Come
- 32:52Speaker 1: on s miss ed trill, Thank you very much. Okay,
- 32:56Speaker 1: this is answered with the news. The House Intelligence Committee
- 32:59Speaker 1: offen the public phase of it's impeachment and career yesterday.
- 33:01Speaker 1: If you didn't see. It started out with a testimony
- 33:03Speaker 1: by Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, George
- 33:06Speaker 1: Kent and the acting US Ambassador in Ukraine at William Taylor,
- 33:11Speaker 1: a tailor board witness to a scheme that he and
- 33:13Speaker 1: Kent described as being direct opposition to US interests, and
- 33:16Speaker 1: which he further described as wildly orthodox and way out
- 33:19Speaker 1: of biology. I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance
- 33:23Speaker 1: for help with a political campaign. What did you mean
- 33:26Speaker 1: when you said you thought it was crazy. I meant
- 33:31Speaker 1: that because of the importance of security assistance, because that
- 33:36Speaker 1: was so important, That security ass was so important for
- 33:40Speaker 1: Ukraine as well as our own national interest. To withhold
- 33:44Speaker 1: that assistance for no good reason other than help with
- 33:49Speaker 1: a political campaign made no sense. It was illogical, It
- 33:55Speaker 1: could not be explained. It was crazy falseman largely repeated
- 33:58Speaker 1: the testimony that they gave closed towards. Meanwhile, President Trump
- 34:01Speaker 1: received another legal slap yesterday. The US Appeals Court decided
- 34:05Speaker 1: not to revisit an October decision supporting a House subpoena
- 34:08Speaker 1: for his financial records. Trump's lawyers can still appeal to
- 34:11Speaker 1: the Supreme Court. Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan says he's endorsing
- 34:15Speaker 1: Joe Biden for president. Ryan, a former presidential candidate himself,
- 34:18Speaker 1: tells MSNBC that this election is more than just beating
- 34:21Speaker 1: Donald Trump. He says, it means more to the American
- 34:24Speaker 1: people than just beating the man. The best thing we
- 34:26Speaker 1: can do for the environment and climate change is to
- 34:29Speaker 1: beat Donald Trump or provide healthcare and prescription drugs. We've
- 34:32Speaker 1: got to beat Donald Trump. And to me, it's clear
- 34:35Speaker 1: as you go round and round and think about all
- 34:37Speaker 1: of these great candidates, that that's Joe Biden, and I'm
- 34:40Speaker 1: going to support him. I'm going to do everything I
- 34:42Speaker 1: can for him in the Early States and then the
- 34:44Speaker 1: Midwest to help him become the nominee and beat Donald Trump. Meanwhile,
- 34:48Speaker 1: there's another possible entry former Massachusetts Governor Duval Patrick, who,
- 34:51Speaker 1: as reportly, told some senior Democrats he's ready to enter
- 34:54Speaker 1: the primary race tomorrow. Cops and Philly say that an
- 34:56Speaker 1: eleven month old baby shot several times when his father
- 35:00Speaker 1: allegedly took him along on a drug deal as a
- 35:02Speaker 1: human shield, thinking nobody would shoot the child. The baby
- 35:05Speaker 1: shot in the head, torso, and if he survives, would
- 35:08Speaker 1: most likely be a quadriplegic. That father in the feast
- 35:10Speaker 1: Monroe is obviously under arrest, Yes he is. Yesterday, Colin
- 35:14Speaker 1: Kaepernick tweeted in response to the NFL hosting a private
- 35:17Speaker 1: workout for him in Atlanta over the weekend, and an
- 35:20Speaker 1: NFL analyst, Ian Rappaport says that Jay Z, who's been
- 35:23Speaker 1: working with the NFL and some social justice issues, was
- 35:25Speaker 1: involved in that and pushed the idea. Today's nationale Teddy
- 35:28Speaker 1: Bear Day. Now back to Steve Harvey Morning show. You're
- 35:35Speaker 1: listening to all right, so we have to say congratulations
- 35:40Speaker 1: to Lamar owed him again. Lamar has proposed to his girlfriend. No,
- 35:45Speaker 1: it is not Chloe Kardashian. They did not get back together.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Her net. Don't do that, Tommy. Her name is Sabrina Parr.
- 35:56Speaker 1: They've been dating for three months. You know he doesn't
- 35:59Speaker 1: go in for long proposals, you know that long engagements
- 36:03Speaker 1: or anything. Sabrina instagram her fantastic news with the photo
- 36:07Speaker 1: of the massive pear shaped diamond ring that Lamar gave her.
- 36:12Speaker 1: It is beautiful, she wrote to her followers in all
- 36:15Speaker 1: caps quote, I said, yes, I love it, So congratulations
- 36:19Speaker 1: to Lamar and sabrinas like, yeah, it seems like November
- 36:23Speaker 1: and December is a popular time to propose. Um, so
- 36:27Speaker 1: I got to ask you this today's relationship topic. Is
- 36:30Speaker 1: it easier to be single in a relationship, married or divorced?
- 36:34Speaker 1: What do you guys thinks? Junior? You say single because
- 36:38Speaker 1: you're single? Yeah, yeah, all right, and what is much?
- 36:43Speaker 1: Go ahead, jud no God to say I'm single? You know,
- 36:45Speaker 1: I just wear about me? Uh that's why. Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:49Speaker 1: that's the simplest. Yeah. I think it's Oh, I think
- 36:54Speaker 1: it's very easy to be divorced. I think that's the
- 36:57Speaker 1: happiest happy that to get divorced. Yeah, I think divorce
- 37:04Speaker 1: like death. Oh oh well, listen, I mean, divorce is hard,
- 37:09Speaker 1: but after it's over, though, that's the happiest to lead
- 37:12Speaker 1: a man's life that's his happiest. Not really, but I'm
- 37:17Speaker 1: just saying, you know, it's it's difficult, divorce is difficult.
- 37:20Speaker 1: But after so it's the best day of his life.
- 37:23Speaker 1: But with Junior, I think single is there. Yeah, it's
- 37:28Speaker 1: the most careful time because you ain't got worried about
- 37:30Speaker 1: no especially if you're single with no kids. Yeah, oh man,
- 37:33Speaker 1: you got going to do it how you want to
- 37:36Speaker 1: do it, no one to answer. You can do whatever
- 37:39Speaker 1: you want. At the same time, after being divorced, after
- 37:43Speaker 1: being single, and after being happily married, this is actually
- 37:48Speaker 1: the best phase of my life ever. The last fourteen
- 37:53Speaker 1: years of my life have been the best that I
- 37:56Speaker 1: have no other period that even comes the thing, well,
- 38:01Speaker 1: I wanted to get to your nephew. Happily married is
- 38:04Speaker 1: a beautiful thing. I'm all that all day long. I'm
- 38:09Speaker 1: gonna tell you something doing this surgeon if my Tommy,
- 38:14Speaker 1: are you for real right now? What I say? No? Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 1: all day long? Ain't nobody happily made all damn day long?
- 38:22Speaker 1: He ain't nobody that you mean? You ain't looked upside
- 38:26Speaker 1: her head? And the time? Are you on? Man? I'm
- 38:32Speaker 1: a man's right now. What I say, y'all, oh man,
- 38:37Speaker 1: all day long, I said you happy in your man?
- 38:39Speaker 1: All right? Well, listen, coming up at thirty four after
- 38:43Speaker 1: the hour, we're gonna do some trending sports news. Colin
- 38:47Speaker 1: Kaepernick gets an NFL workout. We'll talk about that right
- 38:51Speaker 1: after the time you're listening and trending sports news. Colin
- 38:57Speaker 1: Kaepernick's chances of returning to the NFL bell will get
- 39:00Speaker 1: a big boost this weekend, when he will get to
- 39:03Speaker 1: work out for representatives from all thirty two teams. Thirty
- 39:07Speaker 1: two year old Kaepernick hasn't played since twenty sixteen, which
- 39:11Speaker 1: is when he began protesting police brutality and racial injustice
- 39:14Speaker 1: by kneeling during the national anthem. The league invited him
- 39:18Speaker 1: yesterday to an open workout in Atlanta on Saturday that
- 39:22Speaker 1: all teams are welcome to attend. Kaepernick will get on
- 39:25Speaker 1: the field to show whether or not he's still in
- 39:27Speaker 1: game shape, and will also sit for interviews, but it
- 39:31Speaker 1: is unclear how many teams will actually attend, especially since
- 39:35Speaker 1: they've been given such short notice. Kaepernick's reps asked the
- 39:38Speaker 1: league to move the workout to Tuesday because half of
- 39:41Speaker 1: the teams will be busy traveling on Saturday, and therefore
- 39:44Speaker 1: some coaches in general managers may not be available to attend.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, so today, move it to Tuesday. No,
- 39:56Speaker 1: it's gonna know, yeah, it's gonna be Saturday. Yeah. Well,
- 40:01Speaker 1: who you think he could play for it? Right now?
- 40:03Speaker 1: Who can use a quarterback right now? I don't know. Well,
- 40:07Speaker 1: you know, I don't know, man, let's I like calling,
- 40:10Speaker 1: I really really do. He hasn't played in a while,
- 40:14Speaker 1: and last time he did play it was an effective play.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Do I think he deserves a shot? Absolutely? Now, are
- 40:25Speaker 1: the teams who could use take a look at him? Yes,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I think Uh. I think that Chicago could take a
- 40:32Speaker 1: look at him because they have a struggling QB situation
- 40:36Speaker 1: up there. I think he would be good to look
- 40:39Speaker 1: at down in Tampa Bay because they're struggling a bit,
- 40:44Speaker 1: I think, And you know, I think it's a lot
- 40:48Speaker 1: of places, man, that could use some um the Jets
- 40:51Speaker 1: need to back up. Uh, it's a lot of teams
- 40:54Speaker 1: need to back up, you know. And so he's I
- 40:58Speaker 1: think he's worth a look. I don't. I don't know
- 41:00Speaker 1: that he could start for anybody right now, but he
- 41:04Speaker 1: could definitely yeah, I think I don't think he could
- 41:08Speaker 1: start for anybody right now, but I think he's definitely
- 41:11Speaker 1: cap buller playing backup and then getting a shot at
- 41:14Speaker 1: the starting job. You gotta remember he ain't been hit
- 41:18Speaker 1: in three fo you yeah at all? Yeah, he has
- 41:22Speaker 1: no contact though he doesn't every day, right, Yeah, with
- 41:30Speaker 1: getting hit, that shape can change. Yeah yeah, yeah, But
- 41:38Speaker 1: I'm glad of giving him some kind of shot. I
- 41:40Speaker 1: hope it's I hope it's a good shot. Yeah, me too,
- 41:43Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You know, it's kind of
- 41:44Speaker 1: little little funkingness to it. It's sad this short notice.
- 41:47Speaker 1: You know, they gave him sad a lot of teams traveling,
- 41:50Speaker 1: like they said, you know, so you know, it's kind
- 41:53Speaker 1: of got a little taken or leave it flavor to it,
- 41:55Speaker 1: but you know, you never know. I hope he lands somewhere.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I really really do, right, I really really do. Man.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I just like the fact that he's not giving up
- 42:07Speaker 1: on his dream. You know, that's his dream to play football, obviously,
- 42:10Speaker 1: and um he's staying in shape and he's staying ready
- 42:14Speaker 1: so he won't have to get ready. That part I
- 42:16Speaker 1: like it about. You know, it's saying about money he
- 42:19Speaker 1: got money. Yeah, I want to play. He wants to play,
- 42:22Speaker 1: he want compete, man, And I think I'm with him.
- 42:27Speaker 1: I like him a lot. I like him a lot.
- 42:30Speaker 1: I hate that they played him out so long in
- 42:32Speaker 1: his prime years, but yeah, I think he's good. Is
- 42:36Speaker 1: it like? But you know, if you stay in great shape,
- 42:38Speaker 1: you know, like like like a Brady or something like that,
- 42:41Speaker 1: it can happen. Bred far play for a long time.
- 42:44Speaker 1: You know, quarterbacks up, you know, right, they stick around.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Did Ali have to sit out in his brand? Was
- 42:52Speaker 1: gonna ask? Yeah? Yeah, absolutely absolutely, man, Yeah that three
- 43:00Speaker 1: years and came back and took every title. This is
- 43:06Speaker 1: a bad man now, making no mistake about it. But
- 43:10Speaker 1: they stripped him in his prime. But he still came back, man,
- 43:16Speaker 1: you know, and and made a huge just an amazing
- 43:21Speaker 1: athlete and more than an athletic, was a spokesperson for
- 43:25Speaker 1: the world. Yeah, Ali was probably the greatest athlete ever lived. Wow,
- 43:31Speaker 1: that's saying a lot. Yeah, yea. All right, Well, guys,
- 43:36Speaker 1: coming up next, the nephew in the building with a
- 43:38Speaker 1: praying phone call. Right after this, you're listening, coming up
- 43:44Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes
- 43:47Speaker 1: after it's my Strawberry letter for today, subject her old
- 43:51Speaker 1: man is taking care of my family. Okay, yeah, but
- 43:55Speaker 1: right now, yeah, wait till you hear this one. Right
- 43:58Speaker 1: now though the nephew is here in the building with
- 44:02Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. What you got for us? Now, Well,
- 44:05Speaker 1: surely we're gonna have Chopper's funeral, but we're gonna have
- 44:07Speaker 1: it at the club. Chopper's funeral at the club. Let's
- 44:11Speaker 1: go to the club. Come on, cat, Yeah, I'm trying
- 44:16Speaker 1: to reach your James, James James, Yeah, yeah, what's up? Hey,
- 44:21Speaker 1: this this is a Gerald. Uh. I was a friend
- 44:24Speaker 1: of uh, your your friend Chopper, Yeah, huh and Chopper
- 44:30Speaker 1: just uh passed away last week, right, yeah, I know
- 44:35Speaker 1: they posed hall the funeral and stuff over at uh
- 44:38Speaker 1: at mom Baptist Church, and uh, I don't really know you,
- 44:42Speaker 1: but me, Me and me and Chopper and a bunch
- 44:44Speaker 1: of rest of was man. We used to hang out
- 44:45Speaker 1: at the club not too far from the house. You know,
- 44:48Speaker 1: that's pretty much with chopping Wood all the time at
- 44:51Speaker 1: the club. Anyway, what a bunch of us was over
- 44:54Speaker 1: at the club talking man and I was we was
- 44:56Speaker 1: really want to reach out to one of the family members.
- 44:59Speaker 1: You know, and then somebody said you was, you know,
- 45:01Speaker 1: kind of a good friend of his. And when we
- 45:05Speaker 1: we we we decided to call you and see if
- 45:07Speaker 1: you didn't mind. Do you think that you can talk
- 45:11Speaker 1: to some of the family members and see if they
- 45:16Speaker 1: don't mind having the funeral at the club. At the club,
- 45:21Speaker 1: let me let me try to explain something to you, Jane.
- 45:24Speaker 1: What we're trying to do is, see, we believe that
- 45:27Speaker 1: we believed you said at the club. Come on the club,
- 45:31Speaker 1: there's a funeral. What I understand it. But see, see
- 45:35Speaker 1: chop Choppa ain't really go to church a whole lot.
- 45:38Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. He didn't really really go
- 45:40Speaker 1: long as I've been knowing him. Now, he loved a
- 45:42Speaker 1: lord and stuff like that. But I understand, But see,
- 45:48Speaker 1: Chopper woodn't Chopper Chopper went to the club. So what
- 45:52Speaker 1: I'm asking you will let's have the funeral at the club. Hell, no, bro,
- 45:57Speaker 1: come on, we can't have that, no club man. Come on.
- 46:02Speaker 1: What I'm saying is, though, is that he wasn't really
- 46:04Speaker 1: no church going person. I believe that a person ought
- 46:08Speaker 1: to be the last words are to be said over
- 46:11Speaker 1: him in a place. He's more familiar with. You know
- 46:14Speaker 1: what I'm saying, player, Player, No, I don't. I don't
- 46:17Speaker 1: know what you mean. Players. No, just just gotta be
- 46:19Speaker 1: a funeral. This is this is church for I go
- 46:22Speaker 1: to church and all my folks go to church. Now
- 46:24Speaker 1: we we gotta do this thing up in church. This
- 46:26Speaker 1: is a church thing. But you don't feel But do
- 46:28Speaker 1: you understand where I'm coming from? No, that a man
- 46:30Speaker 1: ought to going on and and the last words are
- 46:33Speaker 1: to be in a place he more familiar with. Now,
- 46:35Speaker 1: if he went to church, then I understand that you
- 46:37Speaker 1: see him, bro, No, no, see this is his chance
- 46:41Speaker 1: to get itself right. Weren't we gonna have him up
- 46:44Speaker 1: in church in front of everybody? You know? That don't
- 46:48Speaker 1: make sense? Who's this again? I mean? Who are you?
- 46:51Speaker 1: My name Gerald? But who is Gerald? I mean? How
- 46:54Speaker 1: do you? How do you relate to this? Are you
- 46:56Speaker 1: preach your are you no? No? Are you? No? No? No, no,
- 46:59Speaker 1: I'm I'm I was friends with Chopper and see I
- 47:02Speaker 1: hung out at the club and still hang out there
- 47:05Speaker 1: with a whole bunch of you know, was real good
- 47:07Speaker 1: friends with Chopping, and we were saying that, you know,
- 47:11Speaker 1: Chopper's the last words about Chopper or to be said
- 47:14Speaker 1: at the club, because see that's what Chopper was. But
- 47:16Speaker 1: five six days a week, that's what Chopper was. Yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 1: but what church are you affiliated with? I mean, what what? Why?
- 47:22Speaker 1: To hell? What? I try to talk to the family,
- 47:26Speaker 1: make me look stupid in front of the family, telling
- 47:28Speaker 1: them to put the thing in a club? How that
- 47:31Speaker 1: gonna go off? Well? See, see that's what I'm saying.
- 47:33Speaker 1: You know him way more than we do, because see
- 47:35Speaker 1: that you're talking about trying to move from a damn
- 47:38Speaker 1: you you don't add a church to a damn nightclub
- 47:41Speaker 1: or strip club or something. No, no, no strip club,
- 47:43Speaker 1: just a nightclub. It's the same thing, ain't it. I
- 47:46Speaker 1: mean you talking about having folks traveled from across the
- 47:49Speaker 1: country and meeting into the damn club. What kind of that?
- 47:53Speaker 1: But that's what Chopper was. That's what Chopper was. I'm
- 47:57Speaker 1: gonna look if I'm the one telling them to rule
- 48:00Speaker 1: to the club, You're gonna look like somebody that's trying
- 48:03Speaker 1: to I'm gonna look like a fool. No you're not.
- 48:05Speaker 1: You're gonna look like somebody that's trying to keep it real.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Come to the damn funeral. If I will to do
- 48:10Speaker 1: something like that. Okay, okay, let me ask you this
- 48:12Speaker 1: hitting Oh Jane, do you think you can maybe get
- 48:16Speaker 1: the body and bring it over to the club. No, well,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'm just saying before they even do the funeral or whatever.
- 48:23Speaker 1: You Hell, no, I ain't touching getting the walk in
- 48:27Speaker 1: the dog by my body. For hell now. We're just
- 48:32Speaker 1: trying to say our last words at chopper Man in
- 48:35Speaker 1: a place that chopper most. No. Hell again, who you
- 48:39Speaker 1: you get my number? Somebody at the club had your numbers,
- 48:42Speaker 1: said you was crint. But why do y'all call me?
- 48:45Speaker 1: Of all folks, y'all call me, They say you good.
- 48:49Speaker 1: You in with the family, and you can tell me
- 48:51Speaker 1: the family. But I ain't end in the family. Make
- 48:53Speaker 1: me look stupid. Hell now, won't y'all I get all
- 48:57Speaker 1: of them to the family, y'all call the family. I'll
- 49:00Speaker 1: tell him that yourself. Man, I won't. I just want
- 49:02Speaker 1: trying to get you to brain the body by man
- 49:04Speaker 1: and let us no, I ain't touching no dead body.
- 49:08Speaker 1: We just want to have one, lads, drink with chopper Man.
- 49:10Speaker 1: You have one with your boys, and you you get
- 49:13Speaker 1: together with him and y'all talk about bottom and let
- 49:17Speaker 1: him know how Chopper one? What kind of prison was?
- 49:20Speaker 1: What kind of prison? But we need to we won't
- 49:22Speaker 1: chop up to be there. This Chopper, this is Chopper
- 49:25Speaker 1: you talking about? Man, Bring y'all to the church. Y'all
- 49:29Speaker 1: need to be up in the church. We want to
- 49:31Speaker 1: have a Chopper at the club. Well, we didn't know
- 49:33Speaker 1: them all, man, y'all full of well, we know my
- 49:37Speaker 1: cup looking like a food at the damn funeral? What
- 49:40Speaker 1: this about Chopper though? And then I'm writing about Chopper.
- 49:43Speaker 1: You'll break Chopper to that club, y'all tripping? Man, I
- 49:47Speaker 1: ain't doing I'm just going to this funeral. I'm gonna
- 49:50Speaker 1: care to say what I think about Chopping, and I'm
- 49:52Speaker 1: going tall. If y'all want to act crazy in front
- 49:55Speaker 1: of the town of y'all call the fun of y'all
- 49:56Speaker 1: selling me that. Look, I got one more thing I
- 49:59Speaker 1: want to s I don't even know what this is.

- 52:38Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 52:41Speaker 1: gonna read this one right here, right now. Let's go.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Let's buckle up and hold on tight. We got it
- 52:47Speaker 1: for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:52Speaker 1: The subject her old man is taking care of my family.
- 52:55Speaker 1: I jumped ahead of myself, excited to get into this one.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I have two children with my high school. Sweetheart,
- 53:03Speaker 1: we both come from seriously dysfunctional families, and we were
- 53:07Speaker 1: all each other had. Shortly after we graduated, I got
- 53:12Speaker 1: incarcerated for eighteen months on a drug possession charge. During
- 53:16Speaker 1: this time, my kid's mother met an older guy, and
- 53:19Speaker 1: he began to take care of her and my kids.
- 53:22Speaker 1: He bought her a new car and moved her and
- 53:25Speaker 1: the kids into an upscale apartment. I'm not a fool,
- 53:29Speaker 1: so I know there was give and take in this situation,
- 53:33Speaker 1: but I was locked up, so what could I say.
- 53:35Speaker 1: I've been out of jail for about nine months, and
- 53:38Speaker 1: he has continued to cover all of my family's expenses.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I talked to my girl about the older guy, and
- 53:44Speaker 1: she says she has no problem with me staying with
- 53:46Speaker 1: her and getting my life back on track. But here's
- 53:50Speaker 1: a big problem. I can't take the disappearance of my
- 53:54Speaker 1: girl once or twice a week. I know where she's going,
- 53:59Speaker 1: but we never talk about it, and feel I feel
- 54:03Speaker 1: more and more emasculated each time she disappears. I have
- 54:07Speaker 1: a decent job, but it's not the type of job
- 54:09Speaker 1: that will keep her in the lifestyle she's accustomed to.
- 54:12Speaker 1: The only way I know how to do that would
- 54:15Speaker 1: be to go back to doing what got me sent
- 54:17Speaker 1: to jail years ago. My girl told me that she
- 54:20Speaker 1: hopes I can step up to the plate and take
- 54:22Speaker 1: care of my family so she can let the guy
- 54:24Speaker 1: go and we can be a family again. I appreciate
- 54:28Speaker 1: this guy for holding it down while I was gone,
- 54:30Speaker 1: but she needs to let him go now and adjust
- 54:33Speaker 1: her lifestyle a little bit, but a little bit. I
- 54:37Speaker 1: have thought about leaving while I still have some pride
- 54:40Speaker 1: and dignity, but I couldn't stand leaving my children again.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Is it too much to ask for her to move
- 54:46Speaker 1: to a less expensive apartment that we can build a
- 54:49Speaker 1: new life together. She says she loves me more than anything,
- 54:52Speaker 1: but I'm not so sure. What should I do? Please advise, Well,
- 54:56Speaker 1: if she loves you more than anything, seems like you
- 55:00Speaker 1: would be with you and she would have already left
- 55:02Speaker 1: this older guy. And if you love her like you
- 55:06Speaker 1: say you do, you have to take that chance. You
- 55:08Speaker 1: got to take that risk and ask her, you know,
- 55:12Speaker 1: what does she want to do or will she come
- 55:14Speaker 1: back to you and move to a lesser lifestyle. You know,
- 55:18Speaker 1: sometimes when you get introduced to two different things and
- 55:21Speaker 1: newer things, you get accustomed to it, and you don't
- 55:24Speaker 1: want to leave that situation, but you know you can
- 55:27Speaker 1: take the risk and ask her, please don't go back
- 55:30Speaker 1: to doing what you used to do to make money.
- 55:33Speaker 1: You already know the end of that movie. Okay, you
- 55:36Speaker 1: know that drugs is not the way to go. I
- 55:39Speaker 1: do hope you get yourself together. I really do. You
- 55:41Speaker 1: sound like a decent guy, you know. However, you're moving
- 55:46Speaker 1: in with her knowing the circumstances. You know, is there
- 55:50Speaker 1: a time limit? Are you have you made a plan?
- 55:54Speaker 1: You know, I'm going to stay with you for a
- 55:55Speaker 1: couple of months until I get myself together. Then I'm
- 55:57Speaker 1: gonna get my own and I want you and the
- 55:59Speaker 1: kids to come back to me. That seems how it
- 56:02Speaker 1: should work out, you know, And then you won't have
- 56:04Speaker 1: to sit there and watch her go back and forth
- 56:06Speaker 1: to this man and all of that. So that's my
- 56:10Speaker 1: advice to you. Save your money, get yourself together, get
- 56:13Speaker 1: out of there with her where you can see what's
- 56:16Speaker 1: going on, and ask her if she wants to come back.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Do you really still want her back? If you love her,
- 56:21Speaker 1: then that's what you're gonna have to do. I don't
- 56:23Speaker 1: think you should uh, you know, leave your kids and
- 56:26Speaker 1: all of that, but get your own stuff, your own
- 56:29Speaker 1: self stuff, and you know, get your own house so
- 56:33Speaker 1: you can be with her and be with your family
- 56:35Speaker 1: if that's still what she wants to do. But even
- 56:37Speaker 1: if she doesn't come with you, you'll have your own
- 56:39Speaker 1: place where your kids can come. Steve, this is a
- 56:42Speaker 1: pretty sad letter because this is a young brother had
- 56:45Speaker 1: wrote this letter. And you know, I could have a
- 56:48Speaker 1: ton of jokes for this, but let me try to
- 56:51Speaker 1: help you a little soldier. Let me let me try
- 56:53Speaker 1: to just give you what I think. You got two kids,
- 56:58Speaker 1: which is your ultimate responsibility. With your high school sweetheart.
- 57:05Speaker 1: You both came from seriously dysfunctional families, you say, And
- 57:11Speaker 1: so that's pretty much explains what we're gonna hear in
- 57:15Speaker 1: this letter. You say, shortly after y'all graduated, you got
- 57:20Speaker 1: incarcerated for eighteen months for drug possession. Then while you
- 57:24Speaker 1: await your baby, mama met an older man and he
- 57:30Speaker 1: began taking care of her and my kids, well the kids,
- 57:36Speaker 1: hern the kids that put y'all in the upscale apartment,
- 57:40Speaker 1: you know. Then you say, I ain't no food, so
- 57:42Speaker 1: I know there was some give and taking. This situation,
- 57:46Speaker 1: but I was locked up, so what could I say. Now,
- 57:49Speaker 1: you've been out of jail now for nine months, and
- 57:52Speaker 1: he has continued to cover all of my family's expenses.
- 57:56Speaker 1: You just said a little bit earlier. You know that
- 57:59Speaker 1: some give and taking this relationship. He's continuing to take
- 58:03Speaker 1: care of all your family's expenses. I talked to him
- 58:06Speaker 1: a girl about the older guy. She says, she ain't
- 58:09Speaker 1: got no problem with me staying with her getting my
- 58:12Speaker 1: life back on track, which is exactly what she didn't
- 58:15Speaker 1: had to tell this man that my baby's father got
- 58:18Speaker 1: out of jail and I need to help him so
- 58:20Speaker 1: he can get his life on track. Not an older guy.
- 58:24Speaker 1: Young man then went along with this because she got
- 58:28Speaker 1: to come over there a couple of times a week,
- 58:32Speaker 1: and that's all it was. And so they had a
- 58:34Speaker 1: little arrangement going. So as long as she's keep coming
- 58:37Speaker 1: over two times a week, this ain't gonna be no
- 58:40Speaker 1: problem for her, I mean for him. So you talk
- 58:43Speaker 1: to my girl, she said, she ain't got no problem
- 58:45Speaker 1: with you staying with her. But here's the big problem.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I can't take the disappearance of my girl once or
- 58:51Speaker 1: twice a week. I know where she's going, but we
- 58:55Speaker 1: never talk about it, and I feel more and more
- 58:57Speaker 1: emasculated each time she disappeared. Is yes you do, and
- 59:02Speaker 1: yes you should, and we come back. I'm tell you
- 59:04Speaker 1: what I think. All right, we're gonna have heard two
- 59:06Speaker 1: of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after the hour.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Subject of today's Strawberry Letter, her old man is taking
- 59:13Speaker 1: care of my family. We'll be back right after this.
- 59:17Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's
- 59:22Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. This subject her old man is taking care
- 59:26Speaker 1: of my family. Here's a deal without the jokes. Here's
- 59:30Speaker 1: a young man that was high school sweetheart to had
- 59:33Speaker 1: two kids. Soortly after they graduated, he got arrested on
- 59:36Speaker 1: drug possession. He served eighteen months. While he was away,
- 59:40Speaker 1: his girl started dating this older man. He'd moved her
- 59:44Speaker 1: and the two kids into an upscale apartment, and when
- 59:47Speaker 1: he got out, he wanted to get his life back together.
- 59:50Speaker 1: So he's thinking he had something. She said, I don't
- 59:53Speaker 1: mind you stand here while you get your life together,
- 59:56Speaker 1: sounding me like, you know, get yourself together and then
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: get your stuff and get out. I don't know, I'm
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: just saying she don't mind you coming over that you
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: get your life together. But you know there's a give
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and take. This man paying all these bills, taking care
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: of these kids. She disappears twice a week. Now when
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: she disappears, young man just throws you into something and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: you say, you feel more and more emasculated. Now that's
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: a pretty good word for somebody that's being locked up
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: for eighteen months. So you've obviously taken some time and
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you're pretty articulate. God, where you even put this letter together?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: So I got a decent job, but it's not the
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: type that will keep her in the lifestyle she's accustomed to.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Not The only way that you know how to do that,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: you say, is go back to the thing that got
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: you locked up. Okay, now let's be for real now,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: partner being locked up, there's nothing in your house worth
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: getting locked up for or less. Somebody try to do
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: bodily harm to your wife and kids. This ain't your
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: wife and these are your kids. Now, if you protect
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: your kids life, that's one thing. But you want to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: buy some stuff, So you're gonna go back in prison
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: cause of that? Oh no, sun oh no, sun oh no,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: oh no, We're not gonna do that no more. You know,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: sometimes when you get when you get locked up, sometimes
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: when you lose stuff like your freedom or everything you own.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Sometimes God trying to get our attention to let us
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: see something, and you might be getting the attention of
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: what you see. Maybe your girl is a little bit tricky. Now, Look,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: she disn't appeared twice a week. But then you know
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: she told you that she hoped you could step up
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: to the plate and take care of my family, so
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: she can let the guy go. What so, in other words,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: until you can prove to be more, she ain't letting
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: this other guy go. Hold up, man, what kind of
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: chick is this? Now? And we can be a family again.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Whoa wait a minute. But until then, I'm gonna keep
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: sleeping with this dude over here. You don't need to
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: say nothing, because he taking care of business that you couldn't.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Now you said, I appreciated this guy for holding it
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: down while I was gone. Now you didn't stop saying
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: that you didn't. That's a nice manly thing to say,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: But you didn't appreciate that because you wish you was
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: here doing it yourself. Now he got a little bit
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: more money than you. Now, your family over there, and
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: now you say you appreciate him holding it down, But
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: she needs to let him go now and adjust her
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: lifestyle a little bit. I have thought about leaving, you know,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: while I still have some pride and dignity, but I
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: couldn't stand leaving my children again. It's too much to
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: ask of her to move? Is it too much to
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: answer to lose a specif apartment so we could build
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: a new life together. She said she loves me more
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: than anything. Well you can find that out. All you
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: got to do is say, baby, I got the money
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: for a lesser apartment. I want my family together. I
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: don't want you to have to try to service this
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: debt with this older guy. I don't want you to
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: have to pay for your rent with your body. So
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I think we all adjust. I got us a place
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: we can all be in his school a little bit tight.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: And you find out right away if she loves you
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: or she loved the arrangement she got. Does she love
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: you or she loved lifestyle she got? And I ain't
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: really saying nothing bad against this little girl. She got
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: put in a tough position when you got sent away
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: for eighteen months. But now you're back, and you want
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: some things to go back to where they were, but
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: sometimes they're not meant to go back to where they were,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: young man, and that's oftentimes where we have to learn
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: in life. The things we want may not be what's
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: in the plan and the master plan. So you gotta
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: kind of be open to that because maybe you're finding
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: out some things. If it ain't this dude right here, partner,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: it could be somebody else. Now, I'm not gonna do
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: what women do is say that wants a cheat, always
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: a cheat. I'm not gonna say that. I'm saying, but
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: you got to at least find out if she's willing
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: to cut some of this goal, if she loves you
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: more than anything and want y'all to work together as
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: a family, or she gonna keep service in this debt
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: because that's what she's doing, and that puts you the
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: bad position. You're dog gonna write it to masculate you.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Every time you look out the door, you know your
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: girl going somewhere twice a week, staying out all times
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: a night. You're at the house, these kids. You know
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: where she at, but y'all don't say nothing about it.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: So I don't want you to get frustrated and then
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: wind up doing something stupid. So before you do that,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I know you think if you walk away that it's
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: just gonna push your into his arms. But she's already
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: in his arms, so you're really not pushing her nowhere.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: You're just moving out so you can get yourself together,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: and I think you need to focus on that. Keep
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: taking care of your kids. Don't never stop taking care
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: of your children. That's our responsibility as men. Whether we're
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: in love with the girl or not anymore, has nothing
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: to do without responsibility as men and fathers. You have
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: a main obligation to take care of your children. If
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: you do that, then you're being a man. There's nothing
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: that says you have to stay with her, try to
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: work through it or work it out. If you don't
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: want to, you don't have to, but you do have
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to take care of them kids. That's not an option
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: on excuse. So take care of kids and then ask
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: her if she ready to make this thing a family.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: You know, everybody make mistakes, and give her a chance
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: to let you know where she stands on it. That's
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: my suggestion, Steve, that's right. You can post your comments
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: and Facebook, and don't forget to check out the Strawberry
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Letter podcast on demand now coming up at forty six

- 1:05:38Speaker 1: come on, introduce our girl from the Talk. She is here,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: sure under Wood, Steve Holly, listen, Man, I ain't even
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: left the house. Man, I'm in my pajamas. Hees cereal.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: These hearings is off the chain. I never seen so
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: many white people testifying against each other, says Law and Order.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: What Sam Waterston? I mean, they're dropping dives. Listen, they
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: telling everything they talking about. Trump didn't care about the Ukrainius.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: All he cared about was getting the bidens. I'm like, damn,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: and and what is going on with the Republican Party?
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: You know, dang, dang. They still drinking akool aid? What
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: is going on to I don't know they drinking a
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: kool ai. They be like, so, what so what so?
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: What so? What? You know what I'm saying? That ain't
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: the way, that's straw This isn't what happened. Oh they
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: they they they go and see, I'm trying to figure out, stay,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: what the what? What is Trump? What is he hypnotizing them?
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: What they sleeping together? What's what's going on? What it
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: is Steve Harvest? What it is? Steve Harvest? So many
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: of them? Yes, And I kid you not. There's a
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: deep admiration for him for his face. Look at him.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: He's up there and telling him what they want to
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: tell him. He's saying what they want to said. He's rich,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: he's got strippers, he's got Playboy buddies, he's got all
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: in buildings with his name on it. He's got got
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: his own hair playing with Trump on it. He's got helicopters,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: and he's on TV and his house and he's got helicopters,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: and he's got women over his house with his wife.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Ain't that? And I'm telling you, man, there is a
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: deep admiration for a lot of people who ain't got
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: no problem with their lifestyle because that's what they do
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: if they had that money. I really believe that he
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: believed he is the dictator. He is al half his king.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: He believed he is everything and everything he does. He
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: cooled with doing it because about around him is either
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: suckers are scared and they won't walk up and boss
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: up on this dude. But I think the hearings is
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: off the chain. They dropping so many dimes and man,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: people get oh toad on Junior Jill. They need to
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: stop them too from talking. That's what they need to do.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: If Trump need to get out of that White House,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: get down into their Capitol hill and stop them too.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Mad they go testify, they define subpoenis and everything. They say,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: you can't tell me who I'm a talk, but they
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: get indignant. They just show up stop telling stuff. You'd
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: be like, damn all that, Cheryl, thank you so much. Carl.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: We gotta get out of coming up at the top
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: of the hour. I know, right, Uh? Is Rihanna trying
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: to tell us something? We'll get into it right after
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, here's the question. Is Rihanna,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: who we all know him love? Is she trying to
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: tell us something in order for Rihanna to shine bright
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: like a diamond? Or wait, let me change that, because
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: her name is Rihanna, Okay, Rihanna. In order for Rihanna
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: to shine bright like a diamond, she might be taking
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: a break. She's thirty one years old. She's an entrepreneur.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: We all know that. Well. Yesterday, Rihanna took to Instagram
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: to share a pouty selfie while wearing an oversized black hat,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: gold chains, and a T shirt that read art school dropout.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Okay now. In the caption, she wrote to all my friends, family,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: co workers who I have yet to get back to
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: in the past month, Please forgive me. This year has
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: been quite an overwhelming one and I'm working on that
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: ish called balance BRB. All right, we all know that
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: BRB means be right back right. That was the final
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: message to her fans. So the question is, is Rihanna
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: gonna be right back? Is she taking a break? Uh? Well,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: she'd be a big round booty. I thought that would
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: be our big for us. Huh, It's be right back
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: okay all day? All right? Oh yeah, bunty. I mean,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: but we all need to take a break every now
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: and then. I mean, don't you guys agree, I mean
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: absolutely everybody got to take a break. I'm sucking your teeth.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: I just took a break just now right there. That
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: was my break for the morning. But you know, she's
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: got her multi million dollar fentiue beauty line, she's got
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: her lingerie, she's got her her clothing line. I mean,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: she's got so much. She hasn't made music in what
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: three four years? Now, people are are really asking her
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: to make music, but um, sometimes you know it does.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I mean, I believe there's some truth to it that
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: this year has been an over elming one because she's
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: been busy, busy, busy, you know, yeah, everything get still
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: saying she'd be back. Oh yeah, I like Rihanna. I
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: mean she's made a lot of money, man, she can
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: afford to take some time off and and just and
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: just reinvent or do something, you know, whatever heart desire. Really, man,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: we all have to reinvent ourselves soon or late, all
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: of us. Just so that's right, that's right if we
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: want to stay relevant. All right, So check this out.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: A Florida man pulled over for reckless driving explained to
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: the cops that he needed to get home in a
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: hurry because he was out cheating on his wife. Really
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: you understand this, really you understand I got to get
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: to the house right now, don't He was clocked, saying
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: he was going ninety miles an hour. His name is
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: h His name is John ear Old Pickard. He's fifty
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: two years old. The officer, though, was neither interested nor
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: was he sympathetic to Pickard's extra mat marital affair, and
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: placed him under arrest for reckless driving. Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: you know what time it was though, that's that when
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: you're driving ninety five thirty, ain't nobody eight m? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: it's eight m. Damn. They're done as we lay moment
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: right here. If you're married, speeding has to occur between
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: one thirty five am and five thirty am. Them four
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: hours is critical to get to the house, so you
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: can at least say when I came in last night,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: but it has to be dark say that. Oh yeah.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: If he can get to that driveway by three and
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: just sitting there, you're good, sitting the driveway out there
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: looking for you. Sleep in the Yeah, you're sleep in
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: ther Nah. They go feel they feel like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: try that one yeah yeah yeah. Then they wait till
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you go to sleep, and they look at their phone
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: to see what time it will when you got in bed.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Oh they got the Oh they go, where can you
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: go sleep in the house and in a neutral zone,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Where can you go what's a good spot living room
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: calt I was watching coming up more music, more trending
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: topics on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll be back
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: in twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: listening to Steve Morning Show. Well, one of a kind
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Paddock Philippe watch broke a world record when it's sold
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: at an auction for thirty one million dollars. I know
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: it features now. This watch features a reversible, reversible case
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: in black and rose gold, eighteen carrots, solid gold dial plates,
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: and a band made of black handstitched alligator leather. And
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: guess what else? It tells time? Imagine that? Uh that's yeah, well,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: I mean the good thing about it is that the
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: proceeds from the auction are going to a muscular dystrophy charity.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: So that's really cool. But come on, it is really
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: a watch. Thirty one million dollars? Yeah, I mean anyway, yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I mean we look at our phones now anyway to
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: tell time? Right, we don't even hardly look at our
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: works are considered jewelry right now, ask you, ask you,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: I steal that break out running. I take that you
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: can see the price tagging, are you? Yeah? I'll steal that,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: all right. We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Show coming up. Oh let me look at my thirty
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: one million dollar watch at thirty three minutes after the hour,

- 1:18:46Speaker 1: it all. Coming up, our last break of the day
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: and some closing inspirational remarks from the one and only
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Steve Harvey coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Here we are last break of the day. Guys. It's
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: been a pretty fun, crazy, crazy ignorant day on this
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: crazy ignorant show. A lot of fun today. But Steve,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: now it's time to get a little serious and I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: just want to encourage people to do something really, really
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: simple today. And I think this is something that most
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: people would agree to want. It's really this simple. Everybody
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: should want more for your life. I'm talking about your
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: life right there, the one that you have, You should
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: want more for your life. You should never allow yourself
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: to become complacent. Now I want you to understand something.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Some people get complacency confuse with they don't want to
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: seem ungrateful. Once again, some people get complacency confused with
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: not wanting to appear ungrateful. Well, I don't want to
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: keep asking God for nothing because I don't want him
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: to think I ain't grateful for what I have. Well,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: thank you for it. Then that's really simple. Simply thank
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: God for what you have. That's the gratitude. But then
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: it's still okay to want more for your life. Here's
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: the good news. God actually wants you to have more
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: for your life. God is really looking for people to
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: show off. He really is. I happen to raise my
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: hand all the time in volunteer I do. I just
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: say God, pick me, come on, do me, use me,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: show me. Now that doesn't mean I'm perfect, I'm far
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: from it. But I do want God's blessings to be
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: able to flow through me, So I keep an open
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: channel in my life for that stuff to float. First
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: of all, I want more, that's the beginning of getting it.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: Then I have the good sense to ask him for more.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: You have not because you ask not. Well, I happen
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: to be a big asker of stuff, So now I
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: want more. I ask for more. Now here's the trick
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: to asking for more and wanting more. You have got
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: to be willing to do more. Oh, now you gotta
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: do more. Now. That's the one thing that stops so
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: many people from having and wanting more for their life.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: If God will give you blessings and God will increase
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: your measure in life, if God comes to give you
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: life and give you life more abundantly, if He's promised
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: to do that for you, And what you have to
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: do in return is you have to be willing to
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: do more. See you, you can't get more without doing more.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Convenience is built through inconvenience, you can stop wanting what
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you see everybody else with and you ain't willing to
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: do what everybody else did to get it. Quick look
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: at it, Oprah's pile over there. If you ain't willing
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: to do what Oprah did, which Tom an average person
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: is not because the average person wants to be comfortable,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: and you can't be successful and stay comfortable. I was
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: interviewing the wrestler on my show yesterday day. But teach
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: a great story. Man. This camp was really out of it,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: really really fascinating story he had. And we were talking
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: and he was talking about living outside your comfort zone.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: And I told him one of the things that I've
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: had to learn how to do in order to become
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: successful is I've had to become comfortable with being uncomfortable.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: He said, wow, Wow, that's a great way to put it, Steep.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I have learned how to be comfortable while I'm uncomfortable.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Because in order to get successful, you have to be uncomfortable.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: You have to do things that you don't feel like
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: doing all the time. You have to show up when
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you don't want to show up. You have to be
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: there when you feel like being somewhere else. You have
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: to say yes a lot of times when you really
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: want to just say no. That's where you're at, man,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: That's how you become successful. But you can't keep asking
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: God for more and you ain't willing to do more.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense. It cannot happen that way
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: for so come on, I want you to want more
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: for your life. But there's a scripture that that bags
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: that up too. It said to whom much is given,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: much is required. Now, if you don't want the requirements,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: then he gonna have to pull up on a given.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: But if you want the given, know that here come
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: the requirements. So one more time, if you don't want
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: the requirements, he gonna have to pull up on a given.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: Do not be the one who blocks your own blessings.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: Want more for your life and be willing to do
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: the things to accept and receive more. It's just discipline.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: It's just some more work. But if you just cut
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: out some of the be yes, man, man, just cut
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: out some of the happy hours, just cut out some
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: of the drinking. You can't smoke one every day though,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: you can't go to all the clubs something. You're just
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: gonna run all the women that that's that's that's that's
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: what you're gonna do, all of them. I got news
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: for you, man. Can't be successful that way. You can't
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: drop it on every great weekend. For all Steve Every contests,
