- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:10Speaker 1: show one more time partner, Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man.
- 2:17Speaker 1: How amazing is that? How good has God been to me?
- 2:23Speaker 1: How good has He been to you? Just check yourself sometimes,
- 2:28Speaker 1: just sit up and just just run a survey. Just
- 2:31Speaker 1: look at your life where it's at. That might not
- 2:33Speaker 1: be where you want it to be, but that's probably
- 2:35Speaker 1: some decisions you made. But really, though, in spite of
- 2:39Speaker 1: all the crazy mistakes I don't made. I mean, man,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I I I look back at some of the decisions
- 2:47Speaker 1: I done came up with, and and man, it's it's
- 2:49Speaker 1: it's just amazing. He let me live. I mean, it's
- 2:53Speaker 1: it's and and and to exist the way I exist it.
- 2:56Speaker 1: That's nothing but grace, mercy, favor all that it is.
- 3:00Speaker 1: That's what my mama praying for me when I wasn't
- 3:02Speaker 1: praying for myself. That had to be it, because, man,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I can truly tell you I have made enough mistakes man,
- 3:10Speaker 1: stuff you would never even know about, and recovered from
- 3:13Speaker 1: them all you can too, and I don't care what
- 3:18Speaker 1: you've done. Marvin Sap has a song out that says
- 3:21Speaker 1: he saw the best in me when everyone else around
- 3:25Speaker 1: me could only see the worst in me. You know
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's an important song man, especially you know. I want
- 3:34Speaker 1: to talk to men today because man, being a man
- 3:40Speaker 1: is so so difficult. Please know it has been my
- 3:46Speaker 1: quest ever since I was a little boy. My father
- 3:49Speaker 1: had one ambition. Son, I don't care what you do,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but when I get through raising you, you will be
- 3:57Speaker 1: a man. That's all I want you to be. Cad
- 4:00Speaker 1: what I did for a living, it never made a
- 4:02Speaker 1: difference to him. You're going to be a man. Manhood
- 4:05Speaker 1: is difficult now, ladies, just listening to this, I'm not
- 4:08Speaker 1: saying womanhood ain't. I don't know what it takes to
- 4:12Speaker 1: be a woman, so you know, but I do know
- 4:15Speaker 1: exactly what it takes to be a man. So you know,
- 4:18Speaker 1: sometimes when you talk to people on the radio, you
- 4:21Speaker 1: have to preface things because people are just going he
- 4:24Speaker 1: trying to make it look like womanhood. Ain't. No, That's
- 4:26Speaker 1: not what I'm doing. I'm just talking to men today
- 4:29Speaker 1: to explain to them that they ain't by theyself and
- 4:32Speaker 1: struggling trying to figure this thing out, that you are
- 4:35Speaker 1: not alone in your quest for manhood. That is difficult,
- 4:39Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, man manhood is that kind of difficult,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and it becomes even more compounded if a young boy
- 4:49Speaker 1: does not have a male role model. I've said it
- 4:52Speaker 1: a thousand times. I'll say it again. A young boy
- 4:56Speaker 1: without a male role model is like an explorer without
- 4:59Speaker 1: a math. Well, I have a suggestion for everybody that's
- 5:03Speaker 1: struggling with manhood and all of the men out there
- 5:06Speaker 1: that are men. This messages for all of us, and
- 5:08Speaker 1: it's for me too. You know. I was listening to
- 5:11Speaker 1: George Myers the other day and she made a statement,
- 5:15Speaker 1: she said, sometimes you got to do the right thing,
- 5:19Speaker 1: even when it feels wrong. You know, one of the
- 5:22Speaker 1: difficulties of manhood is peer pressure and the misguided principles
- 5:30Speaker 1: of manhood. See what God wants us to be as
- 5:34Speaker 1: men and what we believe manhood is. It is sometimes
- 5:39Speaker 1: two different things. I'll give you an example. I wrote
- 5:43Speaker 1: this book for women, right and I was telling them
- 5:46Speaker 1: the three ways that a man shows his love, and
- 5:49Speaker 1: I call them three p's. We profess, we protect, and
- 5:53Speaker 1: we provide. Every man who is a man, that's how
- 5:57Speaker 1: he exhibits love. When I talking to Hokey comforting with
- 6:01Speaker 1: not great nurturists. But when it comes down to it,
- 6:04Speaker 1: what we all want to do, what is in our DNA,
- 6:07Speaker 1: is to profess our love for something you as a woman,
- 6:11Speaker 1: to protect you as a woman, and to provide for
- 6:13Speaker 1: you as a woman. That's in our DNA. Now, sometimes
- 6:16Speaker 1: that gets messed up, and I'll give you an example.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper, real role
- 6:23Speaker 1: model in his life, he takes that principle of love
- 6:26Speaker 1: that we all possessing us every man, the professing part,
- 6:29Speaker 1: the protecting, and the providing part, and we misplay it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That's why gangs exist. Gangs exist off those three principles.
- 6:39Speaker 1: What's the first thing a gang member do? He professed,
- 6:42Speaker 1: he claim a hood. That's the first thing you do
- 6:45Speaker 1: this is my neighborhood. I'm deuce Trey, I'm triple h sh,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I'm doop, de doop, I'm purple, I'm red, I'm blue.
- 6:52Speaker 1: The first thing they do is claim that's professing. That's
- 6:55Speaker 1: how we show our love. But it's misguided though. Now
- 6:59Speaker 1: we profess and something that ain't even good for us.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Your hood, your gang, your click. Now guess what Now
- 7:07Speaker 1: we got to protect it. So now as a protection
- 7:11Speaker 1: part of our love, here we go. You come down here,
- 7:15Speaker 1: We're gonna do this to you. You go over there,
- 7:17Speaker 1: they gonna do that to you. You protect your hood,
- 7:20Speaker 1: This your turf, this all you got. You ain't nobody
- 7:22Speaker 1: coming down here with blue on. Can't nobody come over
- 7:24Speaker 1: here with red on. You can't come over here with
- 7:26Speaker 1: purple on. You can't come over here with black and
- 7:28Speaker 1: gold on. And we and we protect that because that's
- 7:31Speaker 1: in our DNA. And then what's the third thing we provide?
- 7:35Speaker 1: So guess what the gang need money? Guess what we do.
- 7:38Speaker 1: We selling drugs, were selling women, we're selling guns. It
- 7:44Speaker 1: go back to the same thing.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Man.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I don't know how God gave it to me that
- 7:48Speaker 1: way when I was writing a book, but he showed
- 7:50Speaker 1: it to me along the way. That's how men love well.
- 7:53Speaker 1: When you don't have a role model in your life.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Guess what now that love is misplaced, it's misguided, it's
- 7:58Speaker 1: off track. Ain't no man and told you that, really
- 8:01Speaker 1: you're supposed to take this love and give it to
- 8:02Speaker 1: a woman. You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide
- 8:06Speaker 1: for a woman, not your gang set. Now you professing
- 8:11Speaker 1: your hood, repping the color, you protecting your territory, shooting
- 8:14Speaker 1: people driving by, coming over you on your street, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: then you provide. Now you're out here selling drugs and
- 8:19Speaker 1: guns for the same thing. When a boy does not
- 8:21Speaker 1: have a male role model, he has a misguided way
- 8:26Speaker 1: of looking at manhood. Here's the deal. See, God created
- 8:31Speaker 1: all of us in his image. That means He's put
- 8:34Speaker 1: some of our DNA in him. That's why it' sending
- 8:37Speaker 1: your DNA to profess, protect and provide because guess what,
- 8:41Speaker 1: that's what God do for us, because we His children.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I'm just talking to me in right now. I'm just
- 8:48Speaker 1: telling you man, I had to wake up about five
- 8:50Speaker 1: years ago. I wasn't doing what God wanted me to do,
- 8:54Speaker 1: and then he shook me. He said man, I'm gonna
- 8:56Speaker 1: bring about some changes in your life. I'm gonna cause
- 8:59Speaker 1: some things to that's gonna put you in a position.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And this time you're gonna listen to me, because if
- 9:05Speaker 1: you don't, you're gonna keep living in this pain you've
- 9:07Speaker 1: been in. But you put yourself in this pain. I
- 9:10Speaker 1: owe no blame to no one else but myself. Please, no,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I know that. And that's how you really get to
- 9:16Speaker 1: manhood when you figure out what you done done wrong.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You can't blame this on none of your exes because
- 9:21Speaker 1: you a man. You can't go my xd this. No, No,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you a man, partner. You got to take responsibility for
- 9:28Speaker 1: yours and yours alone. If you got kids, you got
- 9:31Speaker 1: to get to them some kind of way. Write them
- 9:34Speaker 1: a letter, send them the money. If she won't let
- 9:37Speaker 1: you see it, for the money, whatever, send the money
- 9:39Speaker 1: to a mama. Do what you're supposed to do as
- 9:41Speaker 1: a man. Do what God wants you to do, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: because he's not letting us off the hook for what
- 9:47Speaker 1: we're supposed to be just cause you ain't doing it.
- 9:50Speaker 1: And if you do it, you turn your life around.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Just holering that to fellas today, that's all sorry about that.
- 9:56Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, letting me have your undivided attention. You
- 10:07Speaker 7: know what, God is so amazingly good.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I really appreciate him in extending his mercy to me
- 10:20Speaker 1: and his grace. Grace is his unmerited favor, which means unmerited,
- 10:27Speaker 1: means you can't do nothing to earn it. It's unmerited,
- 10:33Speaker 1: but it's favor. He just give it out mine. I
- 10:36Speaker 1: appreciate that more than anything. And then just forgiveness for
- 10:40Speaker 1: letting me fall and apologize for it. And every time
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'll ask for forgiveness, he give it to me. Who
- 10:47Speaker 1: you don't know, nobody else like that. You will never
- 10:51Speaker 1: meet nobody like that. I'm just talking about God. That's
- 10:55Speaker 1: all anyway, Hey man, what's happening to y'all? Y'all good today,
- 10:57Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. This is how we do it. Chirley
- 10:59Speaker 1: Straw Colin for real Mississippi, Monica Junior to come back kid,
- 11:03Speaker 1: and the legend of Nephew Thomas Junr Y what's on
- 11:07Speaker 1: your mind? Well, this is for a lot of us.

- 11:23Speaker 3: You?
- 11:24Speaker 2: Him? You?
- 11:24Speaker 1: Steve Harp you it? Well. Look, man, a lot of
- 11:28Speaker 1: people have to come to the realization that you hit
- 11:31Speaker 1: like you it in your family. You want everybody to
- 11:34Speaker 1: come to when they got a problem. You want everybody
- 11:36Speaker 1: to come borrow money from you. They expect you to
- 11:40Speaker 1: do all the planning. And you the You're the coordinator
- 11:43Speaker 1: in the family. You the uh psychiatrist or the family.
- 11:48Speaker 2: You it? You it? Now.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Now, now let me ask you something. Would you rather
- 11:55Speaker 1: be it? Or would you rather be that? Because that
- 12:02Speaker 1: person that comes to you all the time with their problems,
- 12:06Speaker 1: that person that ain't ever got no money, that problem,
- 12:10Speaker 1: that person that's always miserable, you could be that or
- 12:14Speaker 1: you could be it. It's a tough cross to bear sometimes, y'all.
- 12:18Speaker 1: But you it in your family and you know who
- 12:21Speaker 1: you are. You're on your way, You're getting ready to
- 12:23Speaker 1: go to work. Now it's people going Lord Jesus, and
- 12:26Speaker 1: you're tired of being it. I know you are, But
- 12:30Speaker 1: you're it though. You're the one. You're the one that
- 12:33Speaker 1: slipped through the cracks. You're the one that God showed
- 12:37Speaker 1: a lot of favor to. And here's an important part.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You was the one who was willing to put in
- 12:45Speaker 1: the work. You was the one who kept the faith.
- 12:49Speaker 1: You was the one that worked harder than all the
- 12:51Speaker 1: rest of them. You was the one. Now you it,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and you want to complain. But you know what I
- 12:59Speaker 1: heard one time I'm on the internet. What a blessing
- 13:02Speaker 1: it is to be tired of the things that you
- 13:06Speaker 1: begged the universe for. Man Ain't that a blessing to
- 13:12Speaker 1: be tired of the things that you begged the universe for?
- 13:16Speaker 1: So now you it. You wanted to be it, You
- 13:18Speaker 1: want to be somebody. You want to turn yourself into something.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Then God set up here and grave your grace and
- 13:23Speaker 1: favor turned yourself into something. Now you it. You can't

- 21:06Speaker 1: Right after this this Steve Halbin Martin show Man. Have
- 21:10Speaker 1: you ever been in a hot air balloon at all?
- 21:13Speaker 1: I don't want to. I've been in the blimp. I
- 21:14Speaker 1: don't like it. I not a blim And that was

- 22:11Speaker 6: Top of the hour and trending entertainment news.
- 22:14Speaker 4: We'll tell you about the Knicks ticker tape parade, Nick's
- 22:18Speaker 4: basketball fans say that Spike Lee should get a championship.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Ring, and.
- 22:23Speaker 4: President Obama's Presidential Library will open this Friday, Juneteenth in
- 22:30Speaker 4: chicag Come on, baby, Yes, we'll talk about all of
- 22:35Speaker 4: these stories at the top of the hour, but right
- 22:37Speaker 4: now it is time to ask the clo our chief
- 22:41Speaker 4: Love Officer, Steve Harvey. Here we go, dB and Inglewood writes,
- 22:46Speaker 4: my wife's my son's wife makes a lot more money
- 22:50Speaker 4: than he does. She asked my wife if she could
- 22:54Speaker 4: pay to get our pool fixed so their kids could
- 22:57Speaker 4: swim this summer. I said sure, but my son said
- 23:01Speaker 4: absolutely not. His ego is getting the best of him
- 23:05Speaker 4: and it's not that serious. Do we let her fix
- 23:08Speaker 4: the pool or obey our son's wishes?
- 23:11Speaker 10: Hell with your son for the kids, which thanks Yellow,
- 23:17Speaker 10: It's for their kids. Yeah, the grandkids.
- 23:21Speaker 1: So so they want to pick, they want to pick.
- 23:24Speaker 1: They want to fix the grandparents pool.
- 23:26Speaker 4: She does, she wants to fix. Yeah, the pool for
- 23:30Speaker 4: the oh oh, their pool, the grandparents pool. M hm
- 23:34Speaker 4: mm hmm, so that kids can flush. Yeah, that's what
- 23:38Speaker 4: you're asking, right, the grandparents pool.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yeah. I was just wondering if you knew the story
- 23:43Speaker 1: and then I could comment on it. What did you
- 23:48Speaker 1: near me read it? Yeah, I heard. I was asking
- 23:52Speaker 1: you questions about it. But yeah, you have to, uh,
- 23:58Speaker 1: you have to stay out of the man marriage. If
- 24:01Speaker 1: your dad says absolutely not, if the husband says absolutely not,
- 24:06Speaker 1: which I don't know why he's doing that, because your
- 24:09Speaker 1: kid's gonna benefit. But all he's looking at is it
- 24:12Speaker 1: only gonna make him look that much smaller, which is
- 24:15Speaker 1: a problem he has. And I think the wife and
- 24:17Speaker 1: the husband have to sit down and discuss how they
- 24:22Speaker 1: want to manage this money so he doesn't have to
- 24:25Speaker 1: feel smaller because he makes a smaller contribution. I think
- 24:30Speaker 1: that's the deeper problem. I don't really see a problem
- 24:32Speaker 1: with her saying, hey, I'll fix the pool so the
- 24:35Speaker 1: kids can go over there and swim. They had grandma
- 24:37Speaker 1: in him house, it would be a great thing. I
- 24:39Speaker 1: don't see a problem with that. The problem, though, is
- 24:41Speaker 1: how the husband feels about it, and he's got to
- 24:44Speaker 1: lose that insecurity that he has about making less Yes,
- 24:49Speaker 1: and that's the conversation between the wife and the husband.
- 24:53Speaker 6: The dad said, it's his ego has gotten the best of.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Them and it's not that serious.
- 24:58Speaker 4: But all right, Moving on to Fay and Manassas They writes,
- 25:03Speaker 4: my husband asked an old friend to bake him a
- 25:05Speaker 4: sweet potato pie while she was in town. He said,
- 25:09Speaker 4: no one else's pies come close to hers. I reminded
- 25:13Speaker 4: him that he loves my pie. He didn't say a word.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Why can't he understand how that hurt?
- 25:20Speaker 1: My feelings?
- 25:21Speaker 3: Come on?
- 25:23Speaker 1: No him, two different pie? So how does he handle that?
- 25:32Speaker 1: Run into his mouth? They just be quiet? Yes, too late,
- 25:38Speaker 1: though you don't have to comment on everything. Who was
- 25:45Speaker 1: she mixed up? Why did you tell your wife that
- 25:48Speaker 1: you asked her to make a pie while she was
- 25:50Speaker 1: in town? You should have just asked her to make
- 25:52Speaker 1: the pie then came home and say, hey, selver sentence
- 25:55Speaker 1: old boys. Yeah, And I said cool, It wouldn't have
- 25:58Speaker 1: been nothing else to it. But then you can't let
- 26:01Speaker 1: her watch you eat that.
- 26:02Speaker 11: Pie because now you closing your eyes and rocking, you know,
- 26:08Speaker 11: making noises with his.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Nicking your fingers and all I said, you can't just
- 26:16Speaker 1: can't let her see you eat this all that when
- 26:20Speaker 1: you're eating my pie. He doubled down and made it
- 26:25Speaker 1: stupid what he said. You ain't nobody, that's right, No
- 26:30Speaker 1: one else comes now your wife, Your wife got a pie.
- 26:33Speaker 1: And he's sitting on the counter right now. But baby,
- 26:36Speaker 1: you said you like my my pies.
- 26:38Speaker 6: You love my pies.
- 26:40Speaker 1: And he didn't say anything when she offered that, and
- 26:43Speaker 1: that said a lot when she said, because then he
- 26:48Speaker 1: realized he messed up. He didn't know what not stupid
- 26:51Speaker 1: sitting over that truck he's doing to dance when he eats,
- 27:02Speaker 1: skipping down to the bedroom. How nasty is his wife's pie?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Though he didn't say, the white pie ain't nasty. It
- 27:13Speaker 1: ain't it ain't it ain't her pie. It's yeah, well white.
- 27:19Speaker 1: What should he have said when she says nothing?
- 27:24Speaker 4: But once she even when when she because he didn't
- 27:26Speaker 4: say anything, and that got him in trouble, she reminded
- 27:29Speaker 4: him that he also loves her pie.
- 27:31Speaker 6: He didn't say anything. What should he be said?
- 27:34Speaker 1: Right then?
- 27:35Speaker 9: Hell?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Your pie? Uh huh okay, yeah, well why are we
- 27:44Speaker 1: talking about? Who make the better path for? Just get
- 27:48Speaker 1: the pie from Sylvia and bring it to the house
- 27:52Speaker 1: and say, s, S. Sylvie sent this old because you
- 27:55Speaker 1: know they know they're old. Free, Okay, cool? And then,
- 27:58Speaker 1: like I said, just don't let huss see you eating.
- 28:04Speaker 1: All right, all this huging yourself and rubbing your arms,
- 28:09Speaker 1: why you eating it? This probably would have been in
- 28:12Speaker 1: my car sitting no ice in a cooler.
- 28:16Speaker 4: All right, We're moving on to Karenne and Columbus. Karen writes,
- 28:21Speaker 4: my husband's barber is female. She posts pictures of my
- 28:24Speaker 4: husband's cut and beard conditioning weekly. I told him she's
- 28:28Speaker 4: using him to promote her business and I'm sick of it,
- 28:31Speaker 4: but he won't make her stop posting him.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Does he love the attention? Wow? Of course, yeah, of
- 28:38Speaker 1: course he does. Why would you ask a question that
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know the answer to? And see, y'all, y'all got
- 28:46Speaker 1: to understand something about social media. What I've discovered. When
- 28:50Speaker 1: a person gets one hundred views, that's amazing to the
- 28:55Speaker 1: average person. One hundred people view my thought and liked it.
- 29:02Speaker 1: You know, the average person to know one hundred people
- 29:06Speaker 1: is deep for them. And don't let it get a thousand.
- 29:12Speaker 1: It just validates them all over again. See if I
- 29:15Speaker 1: get a thousand, if I get a thousand views, this
- 29:19Speaker 1: post has failed. Why is it up? You're with your
- 29:24Speaker 1: millions and millions of followers. Yes, you know, like I
- 29:28Speaker 1: posted something, man, I got a little No, I can't
- 29:31Speaker 1: say that. Go ahead with okay the last one.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Last one is Macintech's Arcana Mac writes, A neighbor paid
- 29:38Speaker 4: me to do some yard work. I lost my wedding
- 29:41Speaker 4: band that same day. It must have come off when
- 29:44Speaker 4: I pulled my gloves off. My wife thinks that I
- 29:47Speaker 4: purposely took it off. The neighbor lady knows I'm married.
- 29:50Speaker 4: So why is my wife.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Tripping because you lost your wedding ring on the day
- 29:55Speaker 1: you went over there to help your neighbor. So where
- 29:58Speaker 1: you're reading, wedding musta came off when I pulled my
- 30:01Speaker 1: gloves off. You're doing her yard for stupid.
- 30:06Speaker 11: See right here, I'm telling you paths and yard work
- 30:13Speaker 11: and telling it yes, wow, all right, thank you.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Colo.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Coming up at the top of the hour, we will
- 30:21Speaker 6: have some entertainment news for you.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 30:24Speaker 6: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Well, as we all know, Jalen Brunson and The New
- 30:35Speaker 4: York Knicks did it again and they are the NBA
- 30:38Speaker 4: World Champions.
- 30:40Speaker 1: The Knicks.
- 30:41Speaker 4: Yes, yes, the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs ninety
- 30:44Speaker 4: four to ninety in Game five of the NBA Finals
- 30:47Speaker 4: on Saturday night. Now, New York City Mayor zorn Mom
- 30:52Speaker 4: Donnie posted that the New York Knicks Parade will be
- 30:56Speaker 4: this Thursday, June eighteenth.
- 30:58Speaker 1: You said they're a little scary, Tommy.
- 31:00Speaker 4: It's going to start around ten am near Battery Park,
- 31:03Speaker 4: travel north along Broadway through the Canyon of Heroes before
- 31:07Speaker 4: concluding at City Hall. Now that's the route, okay, Mayor
- 31:12Speaker 4: Mom Dommy, uh will host the championship celebration and the
- 31:16Speaker 4: Key to the City ceremony on the City Hall plaza
- 31:19Speaker 4: immediately after the parade.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I wish we could be there. That'd be fun. Go, yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: that's going to be huge. Yeah, fifty three years. What's
- 31:35Speaker 1: you're thinking, Steve, Nobody throws a parade like New York. No, absolutely,
- 31:41Speaker 1: not too much. You were quiet. I was like, maybe
- 31:44Speaker 1: he's trying to figure out if the ride on the
- 31:47Speaker 1: bus on top of the bus with the Fellers, you know,
- 31:53Speaker 1: I cal wave. Yeah, so you know I ain't gonna
- 31:57Speaker 1: need to me going, I'm show not gonna be standing there,
- 32:01Speaker 1: crowd be up in one of them office windows, but
- 32:03Speaker 1: they're gonna have so much confetti on the ground in
- 32:05Speaker 1: New York.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Boy, right, yeah, but so deserving though. Fifty three years,
- 32:13Speaker 4: but you said that's no big deal being a Cleveland guy.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Huh, man, fifty three years or suffer that means nothing, nothing, nothing.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Why do you say that, Steve? Why sixty one years?
- 32:32Speaker 1: You handle it? Well? You do you handle your loss
- 32:35Speaker 1: as well? Sixty sixty eight years, that's how long it's
- 32:39Speaker 1: been for the man. Wow, eight years football, I don't even.
- 32:45Speaker 3: You're talking about you're talking about Brown, Yeah, because Lebron
- 32:49Speaker 3: brought you a championship.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Oh, it's it's we're not talking baseball because if you
- 32:57Speaker 1: talk baseball now, we gotta go all the way back
- 33:00Speaker 1: to the fifties. This is much.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Too much.
- 33:10Speaker 1: So that's why you're okay with the fifty three years
- 33:14Speaker 1: about y'all, fifty three years New York waited, and.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Well, congratulations to the Knicks. Also, uh, the Knicks are
- 33:27Speaker 4: the world champions.
- 33:28Speaker 2: We know that.
- 33:28Speaker 4: And there's a trending conversation on social media that says
- 33:31Speaker 4: Spike Lee Spike Lee should get a championship ring. That's
- 33:36Speaker 4: what everybody's saying, that he should get one.
- 33:39Speaker 1: You agree that, I mean that I'd be a hell
- 33:42Speaker 1: of a gesture, man. Uh, I think the greatest single
- 33:47Speaker 1: fan I've ever seen. Yeah, and he spent a lot
- 33:50Speaker 1: of money. I didn't know that he spent.
- 33:52Speaker 4: I mean, like millions of dollars because Kevin Hart was
- 33:55Speaker 4: calling for him to get one. Kevin Hart says, uh,
- 33:59Speaker 4: give it one. Spike Lee's fandom has cost him millions
- 34:02Speaker 4: of dollars over the years, spending over three hundred thousand
- 34:05Speaker 4: dollars per season.
- 34:07Speaker 1: That's a lot. And again it's been grueling for you. Yeah,
- 34:17Speaker 1: this is Madison Square Garden man. Yeah, so this New
- 34:22Speaker 1: York this is expensive. What you thought the season? Take
- 34:25Speaker 1: his cast A lot to spend and they don't go
- 34:31Speaker 1: to the championship, is what he's saying. You know, it's
- 34:35Speaker 1: a lot to spad If they go, it's still in
- 34:39Speaker 1: the same price. But years it's the same price if
- 34:41Speaker 1: they going don't. Yeah, it does not change. I love that.
- 34:50Speaker 1: All right?
- 34:51Speaker 4: All right, congratulations again to Spike Lee and the Knicks.
- 34:53Speaker 4: And finally, the Obama Presidential Center will open this Friday,
- 34:58Speaker 4: June team that I'm talking, Yes, more than a decade
- 35:02Speaker 4: after President Obama shows his hometown of Chicago for this project,
- 35:08Speaker 4: The museum displays campaign memorabilia and presidential artifacts, while its
- 35:13Speaker 4: campus showcases a new community basketball court. It also has
- 35:17Speaker 4: a public library and a playground. According to CNBC, the

- 40:45Speaker 1: had the body for that suit. Yeah yeah, Now, Junior,
- 40:50Speaker 1: I know you said you was looking for Leopard. Don't

- 41:11Speaker 4: you're listening to the Dave Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys,
- 41:19Speaker 4: Father's Day is here. It's this Sunday. Congratulations.
- 41:25Speaker 9: What we gonna do?
- 41:26Speaker 1: What we're gonna do? We ain't gonna do nothing.
- 41:28Speaker 9: I'm not you my book. I'm going to Detroit and
- 41:32Speaker 9: tell some jokes.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Can't do well. It's this Sunday Father's Day.
- 41:38Speaker 4: And here's some fatherhood questions from happyful dot com. So
- 41:43Speaker 4: here we go, guys, Junior, Tommy and Steve. Of course,
- 41:47Speaker 4: here's a question. When did you know you want it
- 41:50Speaker 4: to be a father?
- 41:51Speaker 1: When it was forced upone me? When I got married
- 42:01Speaker 1: and your kids are grown, Junior?
- 42:03Speaker 8: Right, yeah, but when I got married, I didn't know
- 42:05Speaker 8: I had to be a father. I just thought I
- 42:07Speaker 8: was wearing a woman. I didn't know i'd take the
- 42:08Speaker 8: whole family.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 42:11Speaker 1: She had she had grown children. Yeah, yeah, I didn't know.
- 42:14Speaker 4: See when did you know that you wanted to be
- 42:17Speaker 4: a father. I can't wait for this answer. I'll still uh,
- 42:23Speaker 4: I don't say anything crazy.
- 42:26Speaker 1: You still don't know an.
- 42:29Speaker 2: You?
- 42:30Speaker 1: I still don't want to be a father to say
- 42:34Speaker 1: anything crazy? You kids calling me? What do you want now?
- 42:41Speaker 1: I've done my job. You're grown, gon be grown? When
- 42:46Speaker 1: what is this ian for me? Never ended? All right?
- 42:51Speaker 4: We have more questions, which which family member had the
- 42:55Speaker 4: greatest impact on your life?
- 43:00Speaker 9: Oh?
- 43:00Speaker 1: My father all day, every day, hands down, you how
- 43:07Speaker 1: to be a man? Yes, sir, mister, your dad Okay,
- 43:13Speaker 1: yeah I did.
- 43:15Speaker 9: My daddy carried a gun and a bible. He lets
- 43:18Speaker 9: you know, we're gonna figure out one way or nothing.
- 43:22Speaker 9: But my daddy just carried the gun. There's no chance
- 43:29Speaker 9: were making another decision. I'm gonna put this bullet in you. Okay,
- 43:34Speaker 9: God you you talk to the Lord.
- 43:39Speaker 2: All right.
- 43:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna move on from this question. What lesson has
- 43:43Speaker 1: has fatherhood taught you? Steve? I mean, you know, look,
- 43:50Speaker 1: I'm starting to reap the benefits of fatherhood now. I'm
- 43:55Speaker 1: starting to see that my work has not been in vain.
- 43:59Speaker 1: My my sons now, when I hear them repeat some things,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I used to tell it, it's a dad. I didn't
- 44:07Speaker 1: get it. I didn't get it. I was talking to
- 44:10Speaker 1: Winton the other day. He's home for a while. He
- 44:14Speaker 1: lives in Dubai, and I was talking to him the
- 44:16Speaker 1: other day. And I've been down at the ranch with
- 44:19Speaker 1: my frat brothers. And I went home the other night
- 44:24Speaker 1: because I had to do something before I came back
- 44:27Speaker 1: to the ranch. And I went home and Winton was home.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I said, son, you've been here the whole time. He said, yeah,
- 44:31Speaker 1: I ain't went out. I said, Wintin, you ain't went out.
- 44:34Speaker 1: He said, you told me a long time ago you
- 44:37Speaker 1: can't ungrow. Once you grow up, you don't get to ungrow.
- 44:43Speaker 1: I said, so what you're talking about? He said, Man,
- 44:46Speaker 1: I've been living a different life. He said. I don't
- 44:48Speaker 1: want no problems. I don't want to go to the
- 44:51Speaker 1: club if something happened. I don't want no incidents. He said, Man,
- 44:55Speaker 1: it just kind of my friends is kind of like,
- 44:57Speaker 1: you know, they kind of he man. I try to
- 45:01Speaker 1: talk to him and they right back there. They do
- 45:03Speaker 1: the same things. He said. I don't do that no more.
- 45:06Speaker 1: And you know, and I got that. And you know,
- 45:09Speaker 1: my sons repeat stuff to me all the time that
- 45:11Speaker 1: I told her. And I'm starting to get it now
- 45:14Speaker 1: that it is that I've done my job. I'm turning
- 45:18Speaker 1: them into me. And just like my father turned me
- 45:21Speaker 1: into a man. And that's my biggest contribution now them girls,
- 45:25Speaker 1: I take care of them. They ain't got a wrong
- 45:27Speaker 1: for nothing. Just my oldest daughter's coming back from Priston. Oh,
- 45:33Speaker 1: by the way, Brandy's in Priston participating in a course
- 45:37Speaker 1: that I can't pronounce it. But she came. She said, Daddy,
- 45:42Speaker 1: I'm coming back for a week because I'm all for
- 45:44Speaker 1: a break. Can I use one of your cards? That's
- 45:47Speaker 1: the only time I said absolutely not. What it's all
- 45:56Speaker 1: I want to just say, happening. That was a very
- 46:01Speaker 1: bad ending today. It was happy Lasday. We're gonna move on.
- 46:07Speaker 1: The nephew is coming up next with today's prank phone call.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 46:11Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:18Speaker 4: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 46:21Speaker 4: four minutes after it is my strawberry letter for today,
- 46:23Speaker 4: and the subject is is my reputation tarnished? Wait till
- 46:27Speaker 4: you guys hear this letter. We'll get into it in
- 46:30Speaker 4: just a few but right now it is time for
- 46:32Speaker 4: the nephew. You hear him humming in the background with
- 46:36Speaker 4: today's prank phone call. What you got for his nephp.
- 46:42Speaker 1: The pool? What that's a gospels? I was a GP
- 46:54Speaker 1: in the pools, not meditating. Something wrong with you? I
- 47:03Speaker 1: love it.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I love it.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Did you just make that decision to just see, you
- 47:08Speaker 1: know when it's ignorant, just him and it made it
- 47:10Speaker 1: feel better? Him it up.
- 47:15Speaker 2: And him.
- 47:18Speaker 9: All right here it is your son Pete in the pool.
- 47:21Speaker 9: Let's go cat Dom.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach can you hear me?
- 47:25Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 47:25Speaker 2: I'm trying to reach Anastasias she How you doing that? Listen,
- 47:30Speaker 2: I'm glening the lifeguard over here at the pool here
- 47:33Speaker 2: in the apartment complex. Yes, sir, if you have a
- 47:36Speaker 2: son named yes, sir? Is everything all right? Uh? Yeah, yeah,
- 47:40Speaker 2: everything is fine. I mean, uh a quick question, ma'am.
- 47:44Speaker 2: We got a situation here with what's going on. We're
- 47:47Speaker 2: not we're not gonna be allowed to uh to let
- 47:50Speaker 2: him swim here at the pool and the complex anymore.
- 47:53Speaker 2: What we got your son? I mean, he swims there
- 47:58Speaker 2: pretty much every ever, every other day. You know, I'm
- 48:01Speaker 2: always here seeing him swim. But it seems like is
- 48:05Speaker 2: you know, we've been trying to figure out who it
- 48:06Speaker 2: is your your son keep peeing in the pool. Slam
- 48:11Speaker 2: ain't paying no pool, ma'am. I don't want to get
- 48:14Speaker 2: into it with you, your son. And so we finally
- 48:17Speaker 2: narrowed down. Your son is the one that's peeing in
- 48:19Speaker 2: the pool every day, and you know it's really a
- 48:21Speaker 2: bad thing. We can't continue to keep letting them come
- 48:24Speaker 2: over here. We got to band him from the pool.
- 48:26Speaker 2: My son don't paying no pool. We ain't nasty like this?
- 48:29Speaker 1: Did you take them to be?
- 48:32Speaker 2: He's gonna say, it's my son and in the pool? Well,
- 48:34Speaker 2: your son is the one that be making faces and stuff,
- 48:37Speaker 2: and I know that's what he's doing. He in their pin.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Your son is the one that's peeing in the pool
- 48:41Speaker 2: making faces. He be making faces, So I know he
- 48:45Speaker 2: in their pin. Ain't got to do with you should
- 48:47Speaker 2: be making faces pool something? What as you gonna say
- 48:52Speaker 2: in the pool? Got he making safe? Man, I'm not
- 48:54Speaker 2: gonna go asked it like that. I teach my kids
- 48:57Speaker 2: better than that. He has no pool. I'm not going
- 49:00Speaker 2: All I'm saying is he can't come over here and
- 49:03Speaker 2: swim anymore. He's banned from the pool until we rectify
- 49:06Speaker 2: this problem. Now you'll pay when he gonna be in
- 49:09Speaker 2: that pool and we are in a pool we ain't
- 49:12Speaker 2: gonna be there. And I said, Moorrow, matter of fact,
- 49:14Speaker 2: I'm bringing our kids for the pool. We got out, ma'am.
- 49:18Speaker 2: I'm not fin the sity here and go back and
- 49:19Speaker 2: forth with you. All I'm trying to tell you is
- 49:21Speaker 2: just right here. Your son has been being in the pool.
- 49:25Speaker 2: My boss wants me to prevent him. If he's not
- 49:27Speaker 2: the one, then we allow him to come back later.
- 49:29Speaker 2: But right now with singling people out and your son,
- 49:33Speaker 2: you know, it just seems like he's the one that's
- 49:35Speaker 2: doing it. What's you say that name was? My name
- 49:38Speaker 2: is Glen. I'm gleaning the lifeguard. That's who I am.
- 49:41Speaker 2: Not what's a win name? Then? But that I was
- 49:45Speaker 2: supposed to calling me? You ain't got no bites call
- 49:46Speaker 2: of my I'm talking about my son. No food you
- 49:50Speaker 2: never need to give. I'm not at liberty to give
- 49:52Speaker 2: him my last name. The bottom line is we can't
- 49:55Speaker 2: live in the bottle. What but you won't liberally to talk?
- 50:00Speaker 2: You can't give me your all the money? Okay, listen,
- 50:02Speaker 2: I'm not. All I'm supposed to do is call you'll
- 50:04Speaker 2: let you know that we banned in your son from
- 50:06Speaker 2: getting in the pool. Im what you talking about? You
- 50:09Speaker 2: can't ban my father playing the life god? Get a
- 50:13Speaker 2: real job, a summer job, do you write a job
- 50:16Speaker 2: and I'm calling my pall. You sit, you don't want,
- 50:20Speaker 2: you ain't got, and you can't stop. Nobody's coming next
- 50:23Speaker 2: proom and we're gonna be damn now tomorrow again. And
- 50:27Speaker 2: if you did the boom, do your job and cleaning out.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Man.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Let me say this to you. If your son comes
- 50:33Speaker 2: to the pool tomorrow and get in the pool, I'm
- 50:36Speaker 2: snatching your son out of the pool. I let you rum.
- 50:39Speaker 2: I wish you run, said you don't need a life. God,
- 50:43Speaker 2: you snatched my try out a pool. I wish you ruined?
- 50:47Speaker 2: Or what the what time the promo up at ten o'clock?
- 50:49Speaker 2: We gonna be that at nine Saturday? You got me up?
- 50:53Speaker 2: Come out? You gonna snatch my son out of pool?
- 50:55Speaker 2: You lost some mind? Nobody be a pool? Yeah? Show mine? Hey, lady,
- 51:02Speaker 2: the problem is whatever he has been singled out. All
- 51:05Speaker 2: the other kids are pointing at and saying he's the
- 51:07Speaker 2: one that's doing it. Your son is the one that's
- 51:09Speaker 2: doing He's saying it whatever, whatever them for Right now,
- 51:15Speaker 2: all I'm asking is is keep your son away from
- 51:17Speaker 2: the pool for the next two weeks. If we found
- 51:19Speaker 2: out that it's not him, will allow him to come back. Okay,
- 51:22Speaker 2: he he ain't saying away from no fool for two weeks,
- 51:25Speaker 2: and if he do, he gonna come back and do
- 51:27Speaker 2: some most pool. I'm gonna tell the whole two weeks
- 51:29Speaker 2: with it and go back to that talk about my
- 51:32Speaker 2: son to the pool. You can tell by his faith.
- 51:35Speaker 2: You said, what are you about? Said? He about to
- 51:39Speaker 2: be watching life?
- 51:40Speaker 1: You watched the pool?
- 51:42Speaker 2: You show mine? You fus not know will he talking
- 51:45Speaker 2: to I will be down tomorrow. Me and I don't
- 51:48Speaker 2: find for my kids. And they don't get the pool too,
- 51:53Speaker 2: kids over there getting them in the pool. Let me
- 51:55Speaker 2: tell you something. Don't you blame them kids over there
- 51:57Speaker 2: and problem in the pool? No, none of your children.
- 52:00Speaker 2: I don't give it im what you say you write

- 56:42Speaker 4: Nephew thank you. The subject is is my reputation tarnished?
- 56:48Speaker 4: Dear Stephen Shirley. I live in a neighborhood of older
- 56:51Speaker 4: adults and smaller patio homes. Most of my neighbors are married,
- 56:56Speaker 4: but there are a lot of single people in the
- 56:57Speaker 4: community as well. I vote it as the chairman of
- 57:01Speaker 4: the activities committee, and I felt honored to plan this
- 57:04Speaker 4: year's annual summer kickoff celebration. Every year, we do it
- 57:09Speaker 4: big with food and games and a live band for
- 57:12Speaker 4: residents and their families. This year, I was struggling with
- 57:16Speaker 4: the theme, so I went to the craft store to
- 57:19Speaker 4: get some inspirations. I saw a lot of cute pineapple
- 57:22Speaker 4: decorations that looked like summertime to me, so I bought
- 57:26Speaker 4: up all of the stuff that had pineapples on it.
- 57:30Speaker 4: I even got a small personal fan that said I'm
- 57:33Speaker 4: a pineapple fan. On the day of the event, I
- 57:36Speaker 4: was happy with how the decorations turned out. One of
- 57:39Speaker 4: the first men to walk into the party asked who
- 57:42Speaker 4: thought of the pineapple theme. I took all of the credit,
- 57:46Speaker 4: and he said he was shot that I was into
- 57:49Speaker 4: that sort of thing. I did not know what that meant,
- 57:51Speaker 4: and I did not like how low his voice got
- 57:55Speaker 4: when he said it. It seemed like everybody had jokes
- 57:58Speaker 4: about the pineapple thing. Closer toward the end of the party,
- 58:02Speaker 4: my thirty four year old daughter came in and jokingly
- 58:05Speaker 4: said that she figured there were a bunch of old
- 58:08Speaker 4: swingers in my neighborhood. I got defensive, so she explained
- 58:12Speaker 4: that swingers use pineapples to identify themselves to other swingers.
- 58:18Speaker 1: I was floored.
- 58:20Speaker 4: Now I know why my neighbors were so tickled by
- 58:23Speaker 4: the scene. Should I have publicly told them all that
- 58:27Speaker 4: I didn't know? From now on, how will I know
- 58:30Speaker 4: if my neighbors are really inviting me over for wine
- 58:33Speaker 4: or if they have something else in mind? Is my
- 58:36Speaker 4: reputation tarnished forever? What pineapples are not just a juicy,
- 58:43Speaker 4: delicious fruit anymore, but instead a signal that you're a swinger.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Before I read that, I was like, Oh, a pineapple theme.
- 58:51Speaker 1: That's so cute. You know, I had never heard of
- 58:55Speaker 1: this before. But that's just me. Maybe I don't know.
- 58:58Speaker 4: Obviously everyone your party knew, and yes it did give
- 59:02Speaker 4: them the wrong impression about you, But you honestly didn't know,
- 59:06Speaker 4: Like you say, of course, like with anything in life,
- 59:09Speaker 4: some will believe you, and others will say you're lying,
- 59:12Speaker 4: and the ones that are into it will try you.
- 59:15Speaker 4: So don't take the bait. Just stand on business. Don't
- 59:18Speaker 4: let these dirty old neighbors shake you. Uh maybe next time,
- 59:23Speaker 4: just do a you know, a fly white party for
- 59:26Speaker 4: the summer kickoff. And thanks for the education, because I
- 59:29Speaker 4: certainly didn't know this about pineapples, these innocent little pineapples.
- 59:33Speaker 1: I didn't know that, Steve, did you No, I didn't
- 59:36Speaker 1: know that. That's crazy. I take advantage of it, though,
- 59:40Speaker 1: I'd show you. Let me tell you how they tell you.
- 59:43Speaker 1: I to handle this whole letter. Okay, let's see, this
- 59:47Speaker 1: looks like an opportunity to be I don't really see
- 59:50Speaker 1: ther is my reputation? Ton Well? Easy yours? Anyway?
- 59:58Speaker 9: Uh.
- 59:58Speaker 1: She live in an old adult community, a neighborhood of
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: older adults with small patio homes, and most of her neighbors,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: she say, are married and but there are a lot
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: of single in the community as well. They do that.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: They got voted as the chairman of the activities committee,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and I felt honored because they do this big celebration
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: every summer. They kick it off Now Shirley said, you
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: should have did the white party or something like that.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: But that's everybody do a white party. That ain't nothing special.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: So you know, gone wear the white party. But you
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: gotta be careful when you have old people in white
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: parties because you know, you just that ain't the color
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: they need to be in white. They need to wear
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: dog things, you know, you know, you know are you
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: talking about you know, I mean, you know, just in
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: case they're innate. You know, you just can't have that
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: white on can really really yeah, you know, sometimes it
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: just be a dribble to drop, you know, you never
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: knowing nothingborate. We can't you got on black pants, you
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: can go keep rolling. You can finish the dance. If
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: you got on black pats, you can remember that. You
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: can finish the dance if your guy on black pants.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: That's the thing. Anyway, she went to the craft store
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: to try to get some inspiration, and she ran across
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: a bunch of pineapples, and she bought all these little
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: pineapple stuff and then she found a cute little fans
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: and says, I'm a pineapple fan.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Okay, So she bought that and she got game back
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: and everybody started talking about the pineapples, and at the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: party making quiet, A man came up there and said that,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: you know, she took all the credit for coming up
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: with the designers many and who came up with all
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: these pineapple She said, well, I did. This was my idea.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: And he said, all right, now I see, and she said,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: you know, I didn't notice how low his voice got
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the ass He said, oh, so you know what, Oh
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you like pineapples? Huh yeah, that's how he said it. Yeah,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: so how long you've been pineapple?
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Just now?
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: She's sitting over there, just dumb as a doughknot. She
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: she clueless. So, uh, I see you like it with bumpy.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: You like it a little rough, you know what you know,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: you like it rough. I like pineapple. I like the
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: inside because it's sweet. All yeah, pineapples is just juicy.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Oh okay, you like it juicy too, I said, I
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: like it. Yeah, but I like mine like the outside
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: of pineapples. What you are doing ross, which is just well,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: you know, you know, her voice got low. All right,

- 1:04:14Speaker 1: people and some single people that got small patio homes,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: and so she felt honored. So she wanted to fix
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the theme up. Needed some inspiration. Went down to the
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: craft store and saw a bunch of pineapples laying around.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: She thought, oh, this is summary. Give me some pineapples,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: felt these little drink fans that says I'm a pineapple fan.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: So she bought it all up, and everybody was looking
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: at the getting complements on it and stuff. And you know,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: this man came up to her and said, you know, so,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: who put up all these pineapples in here? And she said,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I took full credit for it. Yeah, he said he
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: was shocked that I was into that sort of thing.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Now she's sitting up there because she don't know what
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: was happening. I didn't know what he meant, and I
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: didn't like how low his boy got when he said
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: he said, you know, I ain't know he was in

- 1:05:30Speaker 1: or something. So she didn't know what he was talking about.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Close to the end of the party, her thirty four
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: year old daughter came and said jokingly that she figured
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: there was a bunch of old swingers in my neighborhood.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: I got defensive, so she explained that swingers used pineapples
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: to identify themselves to other swingers. I was flooring. Now
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I know why my neighbors were so tickled by the theme.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Should I have told them all that I didn't know?

- 1:06:06Speaker 1: now on, How would I know if my neighbors are

- 1:13:49Speaker 4: All right, thank you guys, Thank you you, and you're
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: coming up at the top of the hour. A woman
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: on social media needs some advice. We'll talk about it
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: All right, This is from Liz on Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Liz says, at a party recently, I overheard my husband
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: talking with a group of guys about their wives. He
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: started telling stories about me that made me sound controlling, demanding,
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: and difficult. But the stories were heavily exaggerated, and in
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: some of what he said were outright lies. I confronted
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: him later, and he told me he was just trying
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: to fit in with the conversation and bond with the
- 1:14:29Speaker 4: other husbands. He insists he doesn't actually feel that way
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: about me, and he's very happy in our marriage, but
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: I'm still hurt that he was willing to throw me
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: under the bus to get a few lass. I asked
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: him to apologize and tell his friends he exaggerated, but
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: he refuses because he thinks it would make him look
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: like a fool and only serve to prove that I'm overbearing.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: His solution is to just stop talking about me when
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: he's with his friends. To me, that doesn't address the
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: fact that those people now have a completely false impression
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: of me. Am I making too much of this? Am
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: I justified? And feeling betrayed? That's from Liz.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: First of all, how loud was he at this part?
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Pretty loud?
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: Or was she?
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: You know he had to be drinking. You think your
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: wife crazy? Right, right? But don't go sit around and
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: talk crazy? Don't they.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: You know, look, but they all all me and God
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: got a crazy wife story. That's the joke we do. Hey, man,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: can you get a word?
- 1:15:48Speaker 9: It is wise?
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: Now?
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: Can you do this now?
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: So?
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Is she that's what she wants to know? Is she
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: making too much of it? Is she feeling justified? He's
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: not gonna go and apologize. He's not going to do
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: that to the other what mm.
- 1:16:04Speaker 6: Hmm, I don't get it to make her feel better
- 1:16:07Speaker 6: because you are hurt.
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Yeah, well he already just said it. It's too late.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: But she doesn't want them thinking that she's overbearing and
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: mean and controlling and all of that.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Yeah, she doesn't want those lines on her like that.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: What don't her feelings matter in this. I mean, we
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: can't pick what about mine for y'all?
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he is it.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: See look when I'm with my friends and we talk
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: about our wives, he's got wive jokes. Yeah, yeah you do.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: You know we've heard him, like, the biggest thing with
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: men is behind y'all's back and under our breath. We
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: tells y'all all the time. Shut the hell. Oh we
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: talked too much. I'm gonna say that. No no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: listen to me. We don't say it to you. We
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: say it in your back and under our breath. We
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: say it all the time. Really, so yeah, all the time,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: especially you call it. You get that. Shut up. You
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: don't know that my husband is saying that behind my back?
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: You shut the blank. Op how much you're saying? Every
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: husband does it? Steve every does that?
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: Uh huh. So then why didn't he say that to
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: her and try to ease her feelings because she said
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: she feels hurt and she portrayed.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Because he's stupid. He don't know how to He's stupid.
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: See, we do have a lot of stupid men on
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: my team now because I'm a team A lot of

- 1:18:52Speaker 4: The Justice Department has certified that President Trump's name has
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: been removed from all signage and official materials connected to
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: the Kennedy Center. According to court filings, Trump's name was
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: taken off physical signs, websites, email signatures, promotional materials, and contracts.
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: The move follows a court order requiring the removal, despite
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: efforts by the Trump administration to delay the process. Administration
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: lawyers argued that removing Trump's name could hurt fundraising efforts
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: and create confusion, but a federal appeals court declined to
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: block the order. All right, so there you go. Your
- 1:19:31Speaker 4: name is off a period, and when we're read you

- 1:19:57Speaker 1: He keeps talking about how how, oh the stock market
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: is doing that. That doesn't trickle down to the common man.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: It's what people don't understand. Yeah, and inflation is high.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: That's what we get hurt. Gas prices, food prices, that's
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: what basic living things, that's what we get hurt. Yeah,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: So when it's good news at the stock market, that

- 1:25:04Speaker 9: the UFC Para mount Plus ninety nine cents per month

- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: the day, and Tommy, before we get out of here,
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: we got to say congratulations again on your twenty fifth anniversary.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: Do you Tommy and Jackie?
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: Yes, what's the secret, Tommy, I know everybody asked you
- 1:25:26Speaker 6: that twenty five.
- 1:25:26Speaker 9: I had to learn to be quiet. I had to
- 1:25:28Speaker 9: learn to be all right, kick and choose what you
- 1:25:32Speaker 9: don't like and what you do like. Yes, learn how
- 1:25:35Speaker 9: to help her get dressed and put her clothes on.
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: It.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: Quit white your head. You're going there. I'm stupid slipping.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: So the next time when you say you learn to
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: be quiet, we're gonna bring that up on the show sometimes,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: all right, see take us on out. Hey, y'all. My
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: clothes remarks today is kind of I don't know, it's
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: a little bit to do with well, it's comedy really,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: you know. And all the conversation that's been going on
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: about these roasts. At the UFC fight the other night,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: they said celebrities all over the house. And the guy
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: that did the joke about the George Floyd joke, I
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: for keep forgetting his name, Tony Hedgecliff, he was there.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: You know. It's just, you know, I'm starting to see
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: a tree in here, and I want to bring this
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: to everybody's attention, especially comedians. We gotta start checking things, man,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: We gotta start letting people know that no man, you
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: off limits, that subject is off limits. You out of
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: bounce that ain't funny because see, the more and more
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: they get comfortable with laughing at it or being allowed
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: to joke about it, it's gonna turn more and more serious.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Because these are just jokes that they tell at their
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: country clubs and they little card shows and the poker tables.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: These are the same jokes that they tell amongst each other.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: But if we give them permission to go out front
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: and tell these types of jokes about our culture, about lynching,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: jokes about police killing us, and it's funny to them, No, man,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: it's not. It's off limits. And I'm gonna tell you something. Man,
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: we strong enough in comedy to do that. I'm gonna
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: tell you that right now, because the baddest boys in comedy. Nah,
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: they happen to have this huge skin on them. They
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: really do. Now that some bad there's some bad white
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: boys out there, man to tell great jokes that sell
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: out arenas they killing the game. I'm not saying it's not,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: but it's enough of us, Enough of us who have
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: a voice that understands what comedy is to say something
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: we can't allow them to he he ha ha. And
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: then because we battling that, and we battling ourselves. We
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: got the Jason Whitlocks of the world who finds something
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: wrong with everything we do. And he speaks on behalf
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: of the conservative culture like he just like he all
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: right with them. Man, they don't care about you either.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: What's wrong with you? Jason Whitlock makes statements after statement
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: after statement. You know, I made a statement the other
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: day on the radio. I was talking about the young
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: brother in Texas that got sentenced to thirty five years
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: and how horrible it was. But I did some more
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: research on this, and I was talking about I was
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: just trying to employ young people to stop making sure
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: you have stuff that has violence as as a response,
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: you know, walk away all this here. But the more
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: and more I started studying this kid's case, Man, it
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: a lot more to it than this. You know, the
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: process who was friends with the judge, who's friends with
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: the family of the boy, and his jury of peers
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: was not a jew of his peers at all. It
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: was twelve white people that passed judgment on this dude.
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: They man, they should have moved the trial so he
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: could get a fair trial. But the judge was friends
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: with the family or something like that, and the prosecutor
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: was friends with all of them. This young boy's going off.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: And the more and more I heard about this story,
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: the more and more self defense it appeared to be.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: And all of a sudden, I'm looking at this story
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: like this is crazy. And then I looked at Attorney
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: Crump's page, and I started learning more and more about
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: this man. And the injustices of this country just keeps
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: on happened to us, and its shaded to one side
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: in this judicial system like it's always been. And now
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: this young boy, they talking thirty five years when he
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: was defending himself. Ain't non stand your ground law, ain't
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: no self defense? No, because you're a black boy that
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: killed a white boy. Now listen to me. The death
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: of that little white of the kid, the white kid
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: was so unnecessary. It was so unnecessary. But the doing
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: what they did to this black kid was so unnecessary too,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: And it resulted him called himself defending himself. And now
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: guess what it then cost him thirty five years of
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: his life. But it cost this other boy his life. See, man,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: young black people, I got a mintor in camp coming
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: up here, and they'll be at my ranch. In Wednesday,
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: I got two hundred fifty black dudes. There's a camp
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: up the street from me, about forty five minutes away
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: called Camp Grace, run by a great man named Dave Piedmont,
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: and he was convincing me, Steve, you need to put
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: more of a religious component to your to your ranch.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: I'm in the saving soul business, I say, Dave Pman,
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: I appreciate you so much. I'll send them down there,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: I said, but see you in the soul saving business.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: I'm in the life saving business. I'm trying to get
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: these young brothers man to think a different way man,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: so they could stop using the options that's facing them
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: right now in conflict resolution. I'm trying to keep them
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: out of jail, out of prisons so they can go
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: to church and get saved. So you can be in
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: the soul saving business. I'm in the life saving business.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: I got two hundred fifty boys coming down here that
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna be begging them to look at these things
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: that's happening to Once you get in that judicial system,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: this is what they do to you. And now I
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: got another example, and that's sad. That's sad. Y'all have
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: a great day today. Talk to God he loved to
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: hear from me.
