- 0:00Speaker 1: We've had zero murders in the last week. Washington was
- 0:04Speaker 1: the most dangerous place in this country, and now you
- 0:07Speaker 1: know what, it's probably.
- 0:08Speaker 2: The safest place in our country.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Everyone's started to come here.
- 0:11Speaker 2: The restaurants now you can't get in many of them
- 0:13Speaker 2: clothes because they couldn't.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Open with crime.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Everybody before me is happy what I'm doing. Most of
- 0:19Speaker 1: you won't say that because you're radical left.
- 0:21Speaker 5: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Good Tuesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:27Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update. We've got two big stories
- 0:30Speaker 3: for you coming out of the White House. First up,
- 0:32Speaker 3: the White House working now with a House GOP that
- 0:36Speaker 3: has just launched a probe into the alleged DC crime
- 0:40Speaker 3: data manipulation lies from the Democrats claiming that violent crime
- 0:46Speaker 3: and crime in general is actually down big time this year. Well,
- 0:50Speaker 3: there's now an official probe into it and what they're
- 0:53Speaker 3: finding is truly shocking. Also, also the present signing an
- 0:59Speaker 3: execut of order. This time it deals with cashless bail.
- 1:04Speaker 3: It's something Democrats ran on. It was a way to
- 1:07Speaker 3: flood the city streets with extreme criminals, not holding them accountable.
- 1:13Speaker 3: So what happens next, I'll have that as well. But
- 1:16Speaker 3: first I want to talk to you about my friends
- 1:18Speaker 3: over at Patriot Mobile. You've got a lot of choices
- 1:21Speaker 3: for cell phone service, with new ones popping up all
- 1:24Speaker 3: the time. But if you want to make a difference
- 1:27Speaker 3: and you want to stop giving your money to liberal companies, well,
- 1:30Speaker 3: one way you can do that is by getting rid
- 1:33Speaker 3: of Liberal Mobile you probably have right now. That is
- 1:36Speaker 3: where hundreds of thousands of Americans are now coming together
- 1:40Speaker 3: and have made Patriot Mobile what they are today. They've
- 1:42Speaker 3: been in service now for thirteen years, and right now
- 1:47Speaker 3: is the best time ever to switch, because it's never
- 1:50Speaker 3: been easier. Now, before I tell you about that, I
- 1:53Speaker 3: want you to know why switching is so important, because
- 1:56Speaker 3: every time you make a call, every time you send
- 1:58Speaker 3: a text, and every time that you pay your bill,
- 2:00Speaker 3: you're actually standing up for the values you believe in
- 2:02Speaker 3: your First and your Second Amendment rights, the rights of
- 2:06Speaker 3: unborn children, and you stand with our military, our veterans,
- 2:09Speaker 3: our wounded warriors, and our fallen soldier families. Because Patriot
- 2:13Speaker 3: Mobile takes about five percent of your bill every month
- 2:16Speaker 3: at no extra cost to you, and they give it
- 2:18Speaker 3: back to these organizations that fight for our values. Now,
- 2:22Speaker 3: let's talk about switching. It has never been easier. You
- 2:25Speaker 3: can keep your same number, keep your same phone, or upgrade.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Patriot Mobile's got a one hundred percent US based customer
- 2:31Speaker 3: service team and literally they can now with technology, get
- 2:35Speaker 3: you activated in minutes from the comfort of your home
- 2:38Speaker 3: or your office. Your second contract or owe money on
- 2:41Speaker 3: your phones, no worries. Patriot Mobile has a contract buyout
- 2:44Speaker 3: program and this is how we win, folks. By aligning
- 2:48Speaker 3: our spinning with our values. Every dollar we spend matters. Now,
- 2:53Speaker 3: let me also give you a free month of service.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Go to Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson. That's paid Patriot

- 3:04Speaker 3: nine to seven to two Patriot. Use the promo code
- 3:08Speaker 3: ferguson and you're gonna get one month free service by
- 3:11Speaker 3: switching today. So again, Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson. Use
- 3:15Speaker 3: the promo code ferguson. You'll get a free month of
- 3:17Speaker 3: service today Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or nine seven
- 3:22Speaker 3: to two Patriot. It's the forty seven Morning Update and
- 3:24Speaker 3: it starts right now.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Story number one.
- 3:27Speaker 3: There is a big story brewing and it involves the
- 3:30Speaker 3: House GOP launching a probe into alleged DC crime data manipulation.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And it's happening right before our very eyes. Yes, Democrats
- 3:44Speaker 3: are now being accused of covering and lawing claiming that
- 3:48Speaker 3: crime was dropping when in reality it was still extremely high.
- 3:52Speaker 3: And that is where you insert House Oversight Committee Chairman
- 3:56Speaker 3: James Comer. He has launched an investigation into President Trump's
- 4:00Speaker 3: allegations the DC crime DOTA is being manipulated by local
- 4:05Speaker 3: police leadership. Now you may ask yourself this question, like
- 4:10Speaker 3: why do I care? Well, let me explain. The action
- 4:14Speaker 3: actually comes less than a week after the Justice Department
- 4:17Speaker 3: announced a federal probe into the statistics. That's a big deal.
- 4:22Speaker 3: The Trump administration is facing escalating pushback over the present's
- 4:26Speaker 3: decision to frame federal agents involved in DC as a
- 4:31Speaker 3: public safety issue when violent crime in the city they're
- 4:35Speaker 3: now claiming, is that a quote thirty year low. The
- 4:39Speaker 3: problem is the citizens are saying that's a lie. And
- 4:42Speaker 3: now whistleblowers are coming forward a whistle blower quote with
- 4:47Speaker 3: direct knowledge of internal IMPTY operations and crime DUTA discussions
- 4:53Speaker 3: also informed the committee the crime statistics were allegedly manipulated
- 4:58Speaker 3: on purpose, on a widespread basis and at the direction
- 5:03Speaker 3: of senior MPD officials. That is what Comer wrote in
- 5:07Speaker 3: a letter to the Metropolitan Police Department's chief, Paulina Smith.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Quote well, MPD took action against the single district commander.
- 5:17Speaker 3: The issue potentially affects all seven patrol districts, as MPD
- 5:23Speaker 3: leadership allegedly instructed commanders to routinely downgrade the charges to
- 5:29Speaker 3: quote artificially label crime at a lower statistic. So you're
- 5:36Speaker 3: going to artificially lower crime the District of Columbia's crime stats,
- 5:40Speaker 3: so then you can then say it's safer, even though
- 5:43Speaker 3: it is actually not and it maybe is even more
- 5:46Speaker 3: dangerous than it was the last time you look. So
- 5:49Speaker 3: if you know that you do what they're doing, you
- 5:52Speaker 3: just do. You just make it up as you go, right,
- 5:55Speaker 3: you say, no, no, no, everything's great. Crimes down right,
- 5:59Speaker 3: crimes down, crimes down. Who could be against how great
- 6:03Speaker 3: things are now? Aka? Donald Trump? We don't need you
- 6:05Speaker 3: to send in the National Guard.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Well.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Comber noted in his letter that the DC Police has
- 6:11Speaker 3: suspended a commander Michael Pulliam for allegedly manipulating crime statistics
- 6:18Speaker 3: like I mentioned on purpose media accounts of the incident. Additionally,
- 6:23Speaker 3: note that the police union claims police supervisor in the
- 6:26Speaker 3: department in fact manipulated crime downa to make it a
- 6:29Speaker 3: peer violent crime was fallen considerably compared to last year. Now,
- 6:34Speaker 3: as committee is requesting documents and transcribed interviews with the
- 6:38Speaker 3: commanders of each of the seven patrol districts in Washington,
- 6:42Speaker 3: d C. And then you have Donald Trump. He has
- 6:46Speaker 3: called the statistics released by the FBI quote fake to
- 6:50Speaker 3: justify federal intervention in DC and his plans to intervene
- 6:54Speaker 3: in other cities. The President has also said that he's
- 6:58Speaker 3: interested in using DC as a tests for operations in
- 7:02Speaker 3: other cities. And on Sunday he even raised the ear
- 7:05Speaker 3: of Maryland's Governor Wes Moore when he threatened to send
- 7:09Speaker 3: troops to Baltimore. Now, Democratic leaders, what they do well?
- 7:13Speaker 3: They lost their minds. They started picketing, they started screaming,
- 7:16Speaker 3: they started yelling, And what do they do well? They
- 7:20Speaker 3: were angry, Yes, they were angry that the president United
- 7:24Speaker 3: States America isn't buying into as many would describe it,
- 7:28Speaker 3: business as usual. This is exactly why Donald Trump keeps
- 7:33Speaker 3: winning on the issues because he's not backing down. Now.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Story number two.
- 7:38Speaker 3: So Donald Trump has come out and he is seeking
- 7:41Speaker 3: to end cashless bell nationwide. He's starting with Washington, d C.
- 7:47Speaker 3: And his order directs federal law enforcement to hold arrestees
- 7:52Speaker 3: in custody and prosecute them on federal charges when possible
- 7:58Speaker 3: to avoid two things, pre trial release and pre trial
- 8:02Speaker 3: release with cash bail. Now, the President has made it
- 8:07Speaker 3: clear he's not messing around. In fact, Trump is threatening
- 8:10Speaker 3: to withhold or revoke federal funding from states and local
- 8:14Speaker 3: jurisdictions that have substantially eliminated cash bail for offenses deemed
- 8:21Speaker 3: a threat to public safety, violent or sexual crimes, burlery, looting, vandalism,
- 8:29Speaker 3: and the Attorney General is ordered to identify those jurisdictions
- 8:32Speaker 3: within thirty days. Federal agencies then determine which funding to
- 8:38Speaker 3: quote suspend. Now, the framework for all this is going
- 8:43Speaker 3: to be big. You also have a lot of people
- 8:45Speaker 3: that are frustrated in and around the President of the
- 8:48Speaker 3: United States of America. Why well, because he's not backing
- 8:53Speaker 3: down from what he promised, and they can't believe that
- 8:56Speaker 3: they can't get him to just be quiet on this
- 8:58Speaker 3: issue of Cassius Bell to go. Listen to how MSNBC
- 9:01Speaker 3: described this signing.
- 9:03Speaker 6: So first, let's start with the big topic, cash list bail.
- 9:06Speaker 6: Cash List bail, of course, allows a defendant to be
- 9:08Speaker 6: released from jail while they're awaiting trial that's based on
- 9:11Speaker 6: their commitment to appear in court instead of paying a
- 9:14Speaker 6: specific cash amount.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I know some.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Supporters of cashless bail says it avoids penalizing low income defendants.
- 9:21Speaker 6: But Gabe, what is the President and White House saying
- 9:23Speaker 6: about this order and they're hopes for what it will do,
- 9:26Speaker 6: not just for Washington, but the rest of the country.
- 9:28Speaker 7: Well, you know, I was think Clay, the President and
- 9:30Speaker 7: his administration, I've been railing against cash list bail for
- 9:33Speaker 7: quite some time. It's something that Janine Piro, the US
- 9:37Speaker 7: Attorney here in d C, has been talking about a
- 9:39Speaker 7: lot in the last couple of days. And this executive
- 9:41Speaker 7: order that President just signed aims to eliminate cashless fail
- 9:45Speaker 7: here in d C by potentially withholding federal funds from
- 9:51Speaker 7: this jurisdiction. And also he ordered his Attorney General to
- 9:55Speaker 7: look at different jurisdictions across the country and identify those
- 9:59Speaker 7: that have cashless bail policies and explore ways to withhold
- 10:03Speaker 7: some federal funding. Now, that is something that the administration
- 10:06Speaker 7: has done for a variety of issues, trying to explore
- 10:10Speaker 7: ways to stop federal funding or to the threat of
- 10:13Speaker 7: withholding federal funds in order for those jurisdictions to agree
- 10:19Speaker 7: or to go along with their policy. But that is
- 10:22Speaker 7: just one of the executive orders that he signed this morning,
- 10:25Speaker 7: sent Clact.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Now, cashless bell has been something that the left is
- 10:29Speaker 3: absolutely obsessed with. I'll give you a great example this
- 10:32Speaker 3: Democratic Representative Kelly saying this about cashless bell. Now again,
- 10:38Speaker 3: Democrats have been campaigning on it. Black Lives Matter was
- 10:42Speaker 3: created around it. George Soros and the activist das are
- 10:45Speaker 3: the ones that implement it. They wanted cashless bail, They
- 10:48Speaker 3: wanted prison reform, which meant get everybody out of jail.
- 10:52Speaker 3: These are the radical left ideas now destroying cities. Yet
- 10:57Speaker 3: you even look at Chicago Democratic Representative Kelly Again talking
- 11:03Speaker 3: about Chicago saying this about National Guard troops and cashless bail.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I want to ask you, we only have a been
- 11:10Speaker 1: at left congresswoman about no cash bail because the President
- 11:12Speaker 1: signed an EO today ending that practice aim too. At least,
- 11:16Speaker 1: your state of Illinois was the first in the nation
- 11:18Speaker 1: to pass a cashless bail law. What does Donald Trump
- 11:21Speaker 1: not understand?
- 11:22Speaker 4: He doesn't understand that this gives judges the discretion, more
- 11:27Speaker 4: discretion to make that decision. You know, they can say
- 11:30Speaker 4: no if they think it's someone that will, you know,
- 11:33Speaker 4: go out and be violent. They're not, they're too risky.
- 11:37Speaker 4: But if you know, they have nothing in their past,
- 11:40Speaker 4: or the judge feels that, you know, they'll be safe
- 11:43Speaker 4: and it's okay to you know, let them out, they
- 11:46Speaker 4: have that discretion. So but Donald Trump doesn't care. Again,
- 11:49Speaker 4: this is part of his you know, fear. This is
- 11:52Speaker 4: part of his distraction from other things going on in
- 11:56Speaker 4: the world, you know, or other things going on in
- 11:59Speaker 4: the United States. He said he would lowell prices. That
- 12:01Speaker 4: hasn't happened. So these are all distractions.
- 12:05Speaker 3: All distractions, she says, nothing good Donald Trump's done. Prices,
- 12:09Speaker 3: she says, aren't lower, even though they actually are. Gas
- 12:12Speaker 3: prices is a perfect example. That the price of eggs,
- 12:16Speaker 3: the price of butter, the price of milk. There's countless
- 12:19Speaker 3: items that are lower. Since Donald Trump got back into office.
- 12:23Speaker 3: But you can hear this representative straight up lying about it.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I also want you to hear from the Miami mayor
- 12:29Speaker 3: about what he had to say about cashless bail and
- 12:32Speaker 3: what happens when you have it.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and when you were at the White House, you
- 12:36Speaker 2: spoke about this. You went to the White House for
- 12:39Speaker 2: that summit, and you talked about cashless bail contributing to
- 12:42Speaker 2: the nation's crime spike. Tell us more about that and
- 12:46Speaker 2: why you don't see more cities and states turning over
- 12:51Speaker 2: a page from cashless Bail.
- 12:55Speaker 8: Well, as president of the US Conference of Mirrors, it's
- 12:58Speaker 8: my responsibility to lead and to put forth an agenda
- 13:01Speaker 8: based on policies that have worked in my city and
- 13:05Speaker 8: that can work across America. And you know, this cast
- 13:08Speaker 8: just fail. Is another example of a failed liberal policy
- 13:12Speaker 8: where you create a revolving door of people who commit
- 13:15Speaker 8: crimes and are back out on the streets immediately. It
- 13:17Speaker 8: makes it impossible for law enforcement to do their job.
- 13:20Speaker 8: It puts an incredible burden on cities and on law
- 13:23Speaker 8: abiding residents that have to deal with people who are
- 13:26Speaker 8: habitual criminals. And it just doesn't work. And so you know,
- 13:30Speaker 8: we have to get away from politicizing again law enforcement
- 13:33Speaker 8: and get to things that work, policies that work, that
- 13:35Speaker 8: make our city safer, because safety is the number one
- 13:37Speaker 8: concern whenever you've done a polts I've been around a
- 13:40Speaker 8: public service for thirteen years. Okay, they're like dog years.
- 13:44Speaker 8: And I'll tell you, whenever you do a poll, the
- 13:47Speaker 8: number one issue is always crime and the economy. You know,
- 13:51Speaker 8: one and two and they and they vacillate between one
- 13:53Speaker 8: and the other. So safety is the biggest concern for
- 13:57Speaker 8: citizens across the world. So it's something that we cannot
- 14:01Speaker 8: afford to politicize. We've got to do things that keep
- 14:04Speaker 8: our citizens safe.
- 14:05Speaker 3: By the way, the Miami Mayor absolutely right. Cashust bail
- 14:09Speaker 3: is another example of a failed liberal policy, something that's
- 14:13Speaker 3: been implemented, and the data shows overwhelming the majority of
- 14:17Speaker 3: Americans are in favor of what Donald Trump's doing, not
- 14:20Speaker 3: allowing those that are committing HAINUS crimes to walk among us.
