- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, uh huh A good morning everybody you're listening
- 0:10Speaker 1: to the voice. Come on, dig me NW one and only.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, here we go today, folks.
- 0:19Speaker 1: This is a good one. Because of today, I want
- 0:23Speaker 1: to share with you something that that affects every living soul,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and that one thing is your attitude. This affects everyone.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It is your attitude. You know. I don't know if
- 0:45Speaker 1: anyone's ever told you, but I mean, many of you
- 0:47Speaker 1: who listen know this, but there are a lot of
- 0:50Speaker 1: people who don't understand. A positive attitude can bring about
- 0:57Speaker 1: a change. A positive attitude can bring about a change. Well,
- 1:03Speaker 1: now here we go with the nay says, well, Steve,
- 1:04Speaker 1: what you mean if I'm just positive being changed? My
- 1:07Speaker 1: mama gonna what me being positive got to do with that? Okay,
- 1:11Speaker 1: now listen to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring
- 1:15Speaker 1: about change. Well, okay, Steve, I hear you saying that.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But they didn't fined me. So now what does my
- 1:22Speaker 1: having a positive attitude have to do with the fact
- 1:25Speaker 1: that they fired me? Well, one more time, A positive
- 1:31Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Well, Steve, I set up
- 1:37Speaker 1: in here and gave eight nine, twelve years of my
- 1:40Speaker 1: life to this man and he just he cheated on
- 1:43Speaker 1: me and walked out. Now what does me being positive
- 1:46Speaker 1: have to do with him cheating on me? How that's
- 1:49Speaker 1: gonna change that? Okay, here we go again. A positive
- 1:54Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Now listen to the whole thing. Now,
- 1:59Speaker 1: the positive attitude and the change that can happen starts.
- 2:07Speaker 1: This is the start. It starts within you. See, life
- 2:14Speaker 1: is tempera cent. What happens is what you do about
- 2:17Speaker 1: what happens. Okay, you gave twelve years of your life
- 2:20Speaker 1: to this man. He cheated and left you. Hold in
- 2:23Speaker 1: the bag, the kids and everything. Now what does being
- 2:26Speaker 1: positive have to do with changing that? Or they came
- 2:29Speaker 1: in and they fired you. You lost your job that
- 2:32Speaker 1: you was a stellar performer at. But now, how does
- 2:35Speaker 1: you having a positive attitude? How does that change things
- 2:39Speaker 1: for you? So far, you can use any example. Here's
- 2:45Speaker 1: what happens when you have a positive attitude. What it
- 2:50Speaker 1: produces within you is a positive approach to life. And
- 2:55Speaker 1: when you have a positive attitude and a positive approach
- 2:58Speaker 1: to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to have
- 3:04Speaker 1: a positive out look, to expect things to eventually turn
- 3:10Speaker 1: around and and and and and turn into a positive
- 3:13Speaker 1: That's very important because as the law of attraction comes
- 3:16Speaker 1: into play, if you think positive thoughts, you attract positive things.
- 3:24Speaker 1: If you think evil thoughts, you attract evil to you.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You know, if if you want for nothing, then nothing
- 3:32Speaker 1: comes your way. If you want for positive attitude, if
- 3:36Speaker 1: you want for positive results, if you want for a
- 3:38Speaker 1: great outcome, that's what you attract to you. The change
- 3:42Speaker 1: will begin within you. So let's take the man that
- 3:45Speaker 1: walked out your life and left you hold in the bag.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Here's a positive attitude. Okay, two things have happened as
- 3:53Speaker 1: positive here. Number one, you've ridd it yourself of someone
- 3:57Speaker 1: who was obviously going to be, if not already been,
- 4:00Speaker 1: toxic in your life. Cause you many restless nights, a
- 4:04Speaker 1: lot of uncomfortable feelings, uneasiness, not sure insecurity. You've been
- 4:11Speaker 1: going through it with this person, whoever they are. Number one,
- 4:14Speaker 1: that person has been released from your life. Number Two,
- 4:18Speaker 1: it allows you now to have the someone who will
- 4:22Speaker 1: treat you just the way you want to be treated.
- 4:24Speaker 1: That's the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way. That's when
- 4:29Speaker 1: you're a positive person. You see the positive in things
- 4:32Speaker 1: that happened to you, instead of burying yourself under the
- 4:35Speaker 1: horse wrong with it? Old woe is Me? Now concept
- 4:39Speaker 1: see a positive attitude. When they came in there and
- 4:42Speaker 1: they fired you and let you go? Could this not
- 4:46Speaker 1: have been just the opening you needed to finally start
- 4:50Speaker 1: on a new career path that you've been talking about
- 4:53Speaker 1: doing anyway? Could it possibly be a brand new chance
- 4:57Speaker 1: for you to get the dream job, dream career of
- 5:01Speaker 1: your choice. Could it not possibly be the perfect opportunity
- 5:06Speaker 1: now for you to finally finally do something about that gift,
- 5:11Speaker 1: about that talent that God gave you, that thing that
- 5:14Speaker 1: you love to do. Could it not be the perfect
- 5:17Speaker 1: time for you to pursue that. But if you don't
- 5:19Speaker 1: have a positive attitude, then you lay there all they're
- 5:23Speaker 1: finna come get in my house? Oh what I'm gonna
- 5:26Speaker 1: do now? All this unemployment ain't enough? Oh Lord, when
- 5:30Speaker 1: it's unemployment run out? What am I gonna do? Then
- 5:33Speaker 1: I won't have nothing? And you old woe is me
- 5:36Speaker 1: until you become old woe is me. But if you
- 5:39Speaker 1: take it from the positive approach, some amazing things can
- 5:44Speaker 1: happen in your life. I would tell you on a
- 5:46Speaker 1: personal note. That's some of the most some of the
- 5:49Speaker 1: best changes, some of the biggest moments in my life
- 5:53Speaker 1: came after a loss. Some of the best things that's
- 5:57Speaker 1: ever happened to me, some of the biggest moments that
- 5:59Speaker 1: I've accomplis in my entire career came after a loss.
- 6:05Speaker 1: So I don't want to go down on the list,
- 6:06Speaker 1: but boy, I could tell you. Let me let me
- 6:07Speaker 1: tell you something. When they didn't want me on the
- 6:10Speaker 1: radio anymore in l A. When they didn't when they
- 6:13Speaker 1: were it was sick of the way I did radio
- 6:15Speaker 1: out there, and they wanted me gone. And on May
- 6:19Speaker 1: two thousand and five, when my did When? When? When?
- 6:25Speaker 1: When my deal was done? With the beat out in
- 6:29Speaker 1: l A. Okay, look what happened though, y'all was gone
- 6:34Speaker 1: in May. But in September nineteenth I started to Steve
- 6:37Speaker 1: Harvey Radio Network with four cities. I'm now sixty some cities,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you see. But I didn't go old. Wol was me?
- 6:47Speaker 1: I said, Okay, God must have something else from me then,
- 6:52Speaker 1: because if he didn't remove me from this, that must
- 6:54Speaker 1: be something else. Same thing that happened when you lose
- 6:57Speaker 1: and you and you and you break up in a relationship.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Say anything can happen to you. You never know the
- 7:02Speaker 1: one God God for you. Now Here you go, here
- 7:04Speaker 1: you go again. Now you get put into a situation
- 7:07Speaker 1: with somebody, treat you just the way you want to
- 7:09Speaker 1: be treated, provide you with a whole lot of aspects
- 7:12Speaker 1: of your life. You knew nothing about pride to that.
- 7:14Speaker 1: But you gotta stay positive. You gotta keep looking out,
- 7:18Speaker 1: You gotta keep looking to God. You gotta keep believing
- 7:20Speaker 1: that there's gotta be something better for you. That God
- 7:23Speaker 1: has a plan and it don't coincide with your plan oftentimes,
- 7:27Speaker 1: but His way is the best way. Oh. I have
- 7:31Speaker 1: not liked it many times. Man, Oh man, I've had
- 7:34Speaker 1: people scathed me. I'm talking about man people. I ain't
- 7:38Speaker 1: done nothing too. I don't even know where it's coming from.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Just go public and just try to bury me. When
- 7:43Speaker 1: they got through, Man, I can't tell you what happened
- 7:47Speaker 1: to me because I ain't raised my voice back. I didn't.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I didn't get into that negative lane with them. I
- 7:52Speaker 1: took the high road. And when you take the high road,
- 7:55Speaker 1: God got something for you. So all of you out
- 7:57Speaker 1: there are struggling, that's being hated on that you feel
- 8:00Speaker 1: like your life and took some turns that you have
- 8:02Speaker 1: no control over. If you stay positive, that positive attitude,
- 8:06Speaker 1: that optimistic outlook, that that that always thinking. God got
- 8:12Speaker 1: me no matter what happened to me, some amazing things
- 8:15Speaker 1: that's going can will happen in your life. It's a fact.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I don't know how it works that way. I just
- 8:21Speaker 1: know that's what it is, because that's a funny thing existing.
- 8:25Speaker 1: It's called faith, and it's the belief in things that
- 8:27Speaker 1: you cannot see. And man, if you just hang on
- 8:30Speaker 1: to that, sometimes sometimes it's all you got, though you
- 8:33Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. Sometimes sometimes you don't really know
- 8:36Speaker 1: what it is. But that's what faith is. Is when
- 8:39Speaker 1: you don't know what it is, you just kind of
- 8:41Speaker 1: you You just kind of believe it, but you believe
- 8:44Speaker 1: in it's something you can't case see no way out.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I don't see how they're gonna get ma. Lemitate you something.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I've been there. I got in some trouble in two
- 8:51Speaker 1: thousand and eight. Man, that was good when I found
- 8:53Speaker 1: out about it. Anybody else would have been gone from him.
- 8:58Speaker 1: But I ain't let it bury me. I kept talking
- 9:00Speaker 1: to God about it, me and Margie got together. We
- 9:03Speaker 1: kept talking to God about it. God got me through.
- 9:06Speaker 1: It took a little bit longer than I wanted it too,
- 9:08Speaker 1: but boy, he bought me through though, and he bought
- 9:11Speaker 1: me and my wife through and my family through. And
- 9:13Speaker 1: because I just kept that faith, I kept that positive outlook.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Positive attitude is everything, y'all. So get off the old
- 9:20Speaker 1: wol is me negativity train because it ain't gonna take
- 9:23Speaker 1: you nowhere but down, and get get your outlook up.
- 9:26Speaker 1: If you change your attitude, you change your altitude. Altitude
- 9:31Speaker 1: is determined by your attitude. How high you go, how
- 9:35Speaker 1: big you become, how far you go. It all depends
- 9:38Speaker 1: on how you think. It all depends on what type
- 9:41Speaker 1: of attitude you got. Ain't no, ain't no very very successful,
- 9:46Speaker 1: super negative people. It just doesn't coincide that way. If
- 9:50Speaker 1: you see that something that happened to him along the way,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and don't worry. You ain't gonna worry about it because
- 9:54Speaker 1: you ain't gonna see him long because you can't stay
- 9:56Speaker 1: up there like that. It's just too hard. All right,
- 10:00Speaker 1: that's the conversation you're listening, all right, eighteen eighteen minutes
- 10:11Speaker 1: after the hour. That sounds a little crazy. How does
- 10:16Speaker 1: that sound? Cat? Alright, cat say good? Don't sound good? Here?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Eighteen eighteen minutes afterday I welcome to the ride, y'all.
- 10:25Speaker 1: We're broadcasting live again from the beautiful Cayman Islands. Uh

- 11:40Speaker 1: tired I was yesterday because I've been golfing every day.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Oh poor baby. Doesn't it take a moment though, once
- 11:46Speaker 1: you come go on vacation to wind down and then

- 11:52Speaker 1: to go home. Oh from Yeah, I guess, and another vacation.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Travel doesn't really you know, I don't do jet lass.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I've never done that. Even when I I went to

- 12:11Speaker 1: hours of flying and I still didn't get jet lad.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I found out how to stop your feet from swelling
- 12:18Speaker 1: on the plane though. It's copper fit compression socks, Tommy

- 12:52Speaker 1: I just need you to know that damn socks on
- 12:55Speaker 1: with your dress or sun dress, you're gonna look like
- 12:58Speaker 1: a food. But for twenty hours it gonna take them
- 13:02Speaker 1: heels off and elevate your feet. Anyway, Yeah, definitely, get
- 13:08Speaker 1: the blood circulating. I've seen those infomercial suit seeds, so
- 13:10Speaker 1: it really works. Well, yeah, man, I got a pair.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And because I flew to the Philippine jo and uh
- 13:18Speaker 1: no swelling nice, awesome. I had my feet up a
- 13:22Speaker 1: lot too. I didn't know, man, swelled like that. I
- 13:26Speaker 1: didn't know that. Man, you ain't up been on the plane.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Took your shoe on? Yeah, woman, yeah, I told I
- 13:33Speaker 1: told the whole hang nail area of my index finger
- 13:37Speaker 1: off because I had to use it as a shoe.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Get that shoe. I had bloodd I didn't know I
- 13:47Speaker 1: could not get that. And I put that shoe on
- 13:50Speaker 1: and it wasn't pinching, it was painting. Patient. Yeah, and
- 13:54Speaker 1: I'm talking about man, it feels like somebody had just
- 13:57Speaker 1: rolled my foot up in half real live at man,
- 14:02Speaker 1: how long was that? Like? You remember? That was like
- 14:05Speaker 1: New York to l a six coast coast six is
- 14:10Speaker 1: the six five five something like that? Five change going
- 14:15Speaker 1: and coming. Yeah, but enough for your feet to swell,
- 14:19Speaker 1: enough for your feet to swell, Okay, well let's let's
- 14:23Speaker 1: just move on swelling in the morning. And really, what
- 14:27Speaker 1: I thought would be a great morning coach and I
- 14:30Speaker 1: realized that we've been on it too long. But it's
- 14:35Speaker 1: what you all do. Last night we went to the
- 14:38Speaker 1: Lobster Pot restaurant. Oh my god, you know who build
- 14:42Speaker 1: that world? Well yours? Yeah, well you were there, Tommy.
- 14:48Speaker 1: That a question because Tommy, they use you, know, man,
- 14:52Speaker 1: they use you. We were ever so grateful, Thank you,
- 14:56Speaker 1: tom Yeah, he offered to go to dinnericide. You don't
- 14:59Speaker 1: even know how much the lobster Pot call. Why do
- 15:02Speaker 1: we need to know that? That's just information that I
- 15:05Speaker 1: don't start with. It was good, Oh, it was so
- 15:08Speaker 1: incredibly good. I'm going there from lunch today as you
- 15:12Speaker 1: should say hello to Nils, the general manager. He was fabulous. Yeah,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you should ask for him. Yeah, he asked about your
- 15:20Speaker 1: lost time. He did. But we had a great meal, lobster, crab, shrimp,
- 15:27Speaker 1: even the baked potatoes, the broccoli and vegetables. Everything was good.
- 15:31Speaker 1: How was it lost? I'm not going to wear from vegetable,
- 15:34Speaker 1: but everything prestable was good. Sweet, they got some vegetables
- 15:42Speaker 1: down here, just saying the last time you picked the
- 15:45Speaker 1: restaurant calls it the Vega. Even the vegetables are great.
- 15:49Speaker 1: You would love it. The fish, the chicken, and the
- 15:52Speaker 1: meat need to be delicious. You can't mess a vegetable though.
- 15:57Speaker 1: That's some places where you get vegetables aside. It's not
- 16:00Speaker 1: too mushy vegetables. And it is good at Luby's. No
- 16:05Speaker 1: places overcooked. Yeah, yeah they got lost. Yeah, it was
- 16:11Speaker 1: so good. It's really good. Oh, I'm dessert. They have lobster. No,
- 16:17Speaker 1: but they had lobster mashed potatoes. They didn't have lots.

- 16:26Speaker 1: You cannot go wrong. All right, I'm going there today.
- 16:29Speaker 1: What's the dessert you order? Tell me the bread pudding?
- 16:32Speaker 1: Butterscotch bread pudding. What? Yeah, it was good, that's great,
- 16:36Speaker 1: really yeah, goop of vanilla on the side. It was good. Hey,
- 16:42Speaker 1: what because I if I eat another chicken wing this week?
- 16:45Speaker 1: Too much jerk? You jerked out left over from the
- 16:48Speaker 1: super Bowl. If another chicken wing, you'll love it though.
- 16:55Speaker 1: But see that's what happened when you go somewhere and
- 16:57Speaker 1: your wife don't though. Why one? Because you know my wife,
- 17:01Speaker 1: she spends time in the menu. She get into it.

- 18:24Speaker 1: so many actors. Yeah, but they they handled it well,
- 18:32Speaker 1: Like that time we went to Paris. Remember driving in

- 21:07Speaker 1: the last two and Cleofa's Rigging big I'm sorry, that's right.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Cleos Big Buck Rigging asked for a drum roll. That's
- 21:15Speaker 1: when Mandingo got on the drum and ban Joe Benjamin
- 21:20Speaker 1: was on the field, and uh, that's when cleofus, Uh,
- 21:27Speaker 1: somebody brought him out the card to read on who
- 21:31Speaker 1: was the winner. He could read and the person that
- 21:37Speaker 1: brought him out the car Uh they called him Conrod.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Conro couldn't read and brought out the wrong damn card,
- 21:46Speaker 1: so cleofas big Buck Riggings hollered out had it made
- 21:50Speaker 1: gil mode and that when Conro say, hell no, that's wrong,
- 21:56Speaker 1: he said, you didn't read it wrong. And that when
- 21:58Speaker 1: Cleo say that was on there. I'm the only one
- 22:00Speaker 1: around here who can read anyway. Anyway. And now when
- 22:04Speaker 1: Conro said, I didn't made a mistake in the actual
- 22:06Speaker 1: winner was Sassi Lula Belle Conning word from the Conning
- 22:11Speaker 1: word plantation. So they put the head wrap on the
- 22:13Speaker 1: wrong person and rewrapped the head of Sassa Lula Belle.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I brought all this to let you know you are
- 22:20Speaker 1: not the first person to make a mistake in Black history.
- 22:26Speaker 1: That didn't really make a mistake. You understand what I'm saying.
- 22:29Speaker 1: So that's just a little known Black history history. Most
- 22:34Speaker 1: about me, all of them. Well, I read up on
- 22:38Speaker 1: What's going That's eighteen nineteen Plantation Quean Beauty page. I
- 22:42Speaker 1: have time for one. Charon, South Carolina for Dhlis for
- 22:49Speaker 1: Dohlis Castro Fors for Dophlis. Castle was a slave who
- 22:57Speaker 1: was being bought from Africa on a slave ship. Big Strong.
- 23:02Speaker 1: He ate to his change. He ate to his change
- 23:09Speaker 1: and escaped and dove overboard and grabbed one white woman
- 23:14Speaker 1: on the way. Ove overboard and grabbed the captain's wife,
- 23:19Speaker 1: swam to shore on an island. The woman in mind
- 23:24Speaker 1: for Duflis to drift so much that they had several
- 23:28Speaker 1: babies on the island. That island became populated. That island
- 23:34Speaker 1: is currently known as Cuba. To escape extradition back to
- 23:39Speaker 1: Afge for Dovelis, Castrophus named has renamed himself fide Castle.
- 23:46Speaker 1: You're listen, and coming up next at the top of
- 23:53Speaker 1: the hour, we're gonna talk about former nick star Charles
- 23:56Speaker 1: Oakley being ejected from Madison Square Garden. He was ejected
- 24:02Speaker 1: from a basketball game. He was playing. No no, no,

- 25:09Speaker 1: I noticed. Man. And if you know, it just seems

- 30:13Speaker 1: Your wife Rachel got me to prank phone called you.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Oh y'all? Did this May? He I shouldn't come down
- 30:29Speaker 1: to May I am now was gonna you know, and
- 30:37Speaker 1: I was like, burn that building down. You don't even
- 30:39Speaker 1: know her, Tommy. Is this reprediction? Somebody gonna you up
- 30:45Speaker 1: for real? Y'all? You just played much man, y'all trip
- 30:49Speaker 1: it hey, man? Check it out. You gotta tell me
- 30:51Speaker 1: this man, what is the baddest radio show in the lane?
- 30:55Speaker 1: Only the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Man, you're listening to
- 30:58Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Former Knicks star Charles Oakley
- 31:06Speaker 1: was forcefully removed from his seats at Madison Square Garden
- 31:10Speaker 1: and arrested after an altercation. Uh near team owner James Dolan.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Oakley shoved security guards before they pulled him away from
- 31:19Speaker 1: his seat behind the baseline during the first quarter of
- 31:22Speaker 1: the Knicks one one fifteen lost to the l A
- 31:25Speaker 1: Clippers last night. Fans chanted Oakley Oakley in support of
- 31:31Speaker 1: Charles Oakley as they were taking him away. Fifty three
- 31:35Speaker 1: year old Oakley, of course played for the Knicks from
- 31:39Speaker 1: helping them reach the NBA Finals. He has a poor relationship.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I didn't know this. He has a poor relationship with
- 31:45Speaker 1: the team because of his criticism of Dolan. The Madison
- 31:48Speaker 1: Square Garden chairman. Charles Oakley came to the game tonight
- 31:52Speaker 1: and behaved in a highly inappropriate and completely abusive manner,
- 31:56Speaker 1: the Knicks wrote in a statement on Twitter. They tweeted this.
- 32:00Speaker 1: He has been ejected and is currently being arrested by
- 32:02Speaker 1: the New York City Police Department. He was a great
- 32:05Speaker 1: nick and we hope he gets some help soon. What hell?
- 32:09Speaker 1: What Nick? That's that's their version? Yeah, exactly, exactly. First
- 32:15Speaker 1: of all, Charles Oakley is from Cleveland, Okay, And what
- 32:19Speaker 1: does that mean? We different? Sixty? Why did you push
- 32:27Speaker 1: the man? See? If all you gotta do is look
- 32:30Speaker 1: at the video. What's you put your hands on? Charles Oakly?
- 32:34Speaker 1: See not all is talking is over right? Because the
- 32:37Speaker 1: security guard would up and put his hands on him.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Look at his mouth, get off me. He pushed the dude.
- 32:45Speaker 1: The dude come back over there and touch him again.
- 32:48Speaker 1: He damned it, pushed him out on the floor. Is big, big,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and and and in Cleveland we called him a big country.
- 32:57Speaker 1: He played ball with the generation behind me at John
- 33:01Speaker 1: Hey High School. Okay, so you know, yeah, he here
- 33:05Speaker 1: and my little dude, Kiki Walker played on the same team.
- 33:10Speaker 1: That's how I've been known Oakley for years. We've been cool.
- 33:12Speaker 1: We gamble out in Vegas. I don't gamble like Oakley, Okay,
- 33:16Speaker 1: gamble like he's trying to Hey for stuff. But that
- 33:21Speaker 1: gambling just to have the crowd was with Oakley though.
- 33:26Speaker 1: All you gotta do is look at it. Man. They
- 33:28Speaker 1: just they always try to make it like he needs help. Man.
- 33:31Speaker 1: You can't put your hand on grown me. And I
- 33:33Speaker 1: keep telling y'all, y'all get to doing this the corporate way.
- 33:37Speaker 1: You cannot put your hands on grown men and grown
- 33:39Speaker 1: men because they don't like that. You can't put I'm sixty,
- 33:43Speaker 1: you can't touch me. You can ask me to leave,
- 33:46Speaker 1: they say, probably go on and go. Because I got
- 33:48Speaker 1: a little big shots family on the dome. I got
- 33:53Speaker 1: too much. I can't swing back, is the touching. Yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 1: but I got six people with me who do swing,
- 34:01Speaker 1: and I paid to spear, but I'm not gonna do.
- 34:06Speaker 1: I can't go to jail right now because I'm just
- 34:09Speaker 1: ever or ever. Yeah, I don't look good in jail.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I don't you know. I don't like all right, introduced
- 34:21Speaker 1: Msthan and after MS and we're going to find out
- 34:23Speaker 1: about juniors, Cayman Island love life. Thanks Steven. I'm also
- 34:33Speaker 1: gonna tell you a little bit more about that open situation.
- 34:35Speaker 1: This is antributed news, Okay, Alabama, Santa Jeff Sessions has
- 34:39Speaker 1: been confirmed as our next U s. Attorney General, marking
- 34:42Speaker 1: the end of a bitter debate, including what happened the
- 34:44Speaker 1: night before last one Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell uh
- 34:48Speaker 1: silence Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren and she was reading a
- 34:50Speaker 1: letter written by Coreta Scott King back in six where
- 34:54Speaker 1: Mrs King accused the Sessions of harboring racist attitudes. Now
- 34:57Speaker 1: McConnell Q Santa Warren a Viole aid in this arcane
- 35:00Speaker 1: a Senate rule that says you can't impugne the character
- 35:03Speaker 1: of a colleague, but democratically the Chuck Schumer says, McConnell's
- 35:06Speaker 1: action was uncalled for. Senator Warren wasn't hurling wild accusations.
- 35:11Speaker 1: She was reading a thoughtful and considered letter from a
- 35:14Speaker 1: leading civil rights figure. And of course McConnell insisted that
- 35:17Speaker 1: Jeff Sessions is a fair man. Ivn't had a decision yet,
- 35:23Speaker 1: but courts seemed to be so political, and in any case,
- 35:28Speaker 1: McConnell insisted the Jeff Sessions it was a fair man,
- 35:30Speaker 1: that he could, he wouldn't do any wrong, and everything
- 35:33Speaker 1: was right with him, that he saw people as people,
- 35:35Speaker 1: no matter what color they were. It was inevitable with
- 35:38Speaker 1: a GOP majority in the Senate. The vote was fifty
- 35:41Speaker 1: two to forty seven. The nomination was confirmed and Jeff
- 35:46Speaker 1: Sessions to be sworn in later on. Today, Democrats are
- 35:49Speaker 1: questioning whether Attorney General Sessions will do anything at all
- 35:52Speaker 1: to protect the rights of nardis or gays. They also
- 35:55Speaker 1: worry about sessions tough stance on illegal immigration New England,
- 35:58Speaker 1: parts of North through some Atlantic states being blanketed today
- 36:01Speaker 1: with white major snowstorms hitting those areas, leaving cumulations of
- 36:05Speaker 1: anywhere from four to eighteen inches depending upon the locale.
- 36:09Speaker 1: And yes, it was the opposite of cold at Madison
- 36:11Speaker 1: Square Garden last night because former nick Star player Charles
- 36:14Speaker 1: Oakley got so hot after it was thrown out of
- 36:16Speaker 1: the garden last night, charged with assault after leisurely yelling
- 36:19Speaker 1: at team owner James Dolan, pushing and tussling security. Charles.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Hopefully he's a bothering something. They eat security in the
- 36:27Speaker 1: big way. Security is there, hopefully now being taken off on.
- 36:32Speaker 1: This is an ugly thing to see. If I was
- 36:34Speaker 1: a guy who played here for over ten years who
- 36:37Speaker 1: turn Quaire Oakley and then the organization have not seen
- 36:41Speaker 1: eye to eye recently. Oakley very critical about them. What
- 36:45Speaker 1: happened to me and four friends went to the game
- 36:48Speaker 1: to night to watch Nickson and Clippers get their sit down,
- 36:51Speaker 1: trying to have a good time. Next thing I know,
- 36:54Speaker 1: I asked, I will ask to leave the building, that's why,
- 36:57Speaker 1: And he said that's what you have to leave me
- 37:00Speaker 1: because someone ordered to leave. And I'm like, I've been
- 37:03Speaker 1: here four and a half minutes. I'm a Knicks fan
- 37:06Speaker 1: played him in ten years. I love the Knicks, I
- 37:09Speaker 1: love New York. I wish him all the luck on
- 37:12Speaker 1: the basketball court. And I won't know why I'm not
- 37:15Speaker 1: welcome into the garden. And that's what touched it off.
- 37:18Speaker 1: They embarrassed him in front of four friends. Also, you know,
- 37:21Speaker 1: you bring your friends, say oh, let's go watch a game,
- 37:23Speaker 1: and they did tell you to get up after four minutes.
- 37:26Speaker 1: So not only where did they tussle later, but first
- 37:28Speaker 1: they started by embarrassing him in front of his friends.
- 37:31Speaker 1: And Oakley, yeah, does have a contentious history with Dolan.
- 37:33Speaker 1: He's been excluded from invitations and tributes reserved for former players.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Apparently that team slogan once and Nick Always, and Nick
- 37:40Speaker 1: hasn't applied to Oakley. He's maintained the Dolan doesn't like
- 37:43Speaker 1: his honesty, his bluntness, and he recently told The New
- 37:46Speaker 1: York Times that the owner has refused to even consider
- 37:48Speaker 1: a reconciliation with him, had him removed. The owner needs
- 37:54Speaker 1: a real problem. They touched him. Once you touched this man,
- 38:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell y'all no more can not us. After
- 38:09Speaker 1: the fight, the Knicks went on a ten oh runcause
- 38:11Speaker 1: they need it. I support they lost the game, like
- 38:16Speaker 1: the crowd, yeah, yeah, and they were saying it's not
- 38:21Speaker 1: worth it. Old please, you know, don't worry about it.
- 38:23Speaker 1: It's not worth it. Um. Phil Jackson went tried to
- 38:25Speaker 1: calm it down. Chris Rock was there, and Chris Rock
- 38:28Speaker 1: went back into the tunnel. He was like, what's going
- 38:30Speaker 1: on here? What happened? Why are you doing this to
- 38:31Speaker 1: the man? So yeah, clearly the crowd was in the
- 38:34Speaker 1: Oakley's favor. Didn't know why he was asked to get up,
- 38:36Speaker 1: and he didn't know either, And he said he wanted
- 38:38Speaker 1: to just meet with Dolan behind closed doors, just him
- 38:41Speaker 1: and Dolan. But Dolan's not gonna go for that. Cleveland,
- 38:47Speaker 1: don't go back there. When you come out, you ain't
- 38:53Speaker 1: gonna look like Dolan. All right, thinking and coming up
- 38:59Speaker 1: the better live in the building. You're listening to morning show.
- 39:06Speaker 1: All right, we're broadcasting live from Comfort Sweet since seven
- 39:09Speaker 1: Mile Beach on Grand cam in Island. Good morning to you. Uh,
- 39:13Speaker 1: coming up next to butterfly in the building. Who knows
- 39:16Speaker 1: what he's going to talk about? Now, I haven't seen
- 39:23Speaker 1: of you. We ain't. That's going to be a problem. Yeah,
- 39:27Speaker 1: if you haven't seen him. I'm not just keeping well,
- 39:31Speaker 1: not just black and white. Ain't that simple? It's fad

- 44:18Speaker 1: all right, you so listening? Uh so? Uh you know
- 44:21Speaker 1: it's snowing right now in the Northeast. You know, school
- 44:24Speaker 1: was just closing in New Jersey and New York. We

- 44:34Speaker 1: you right now. It's gonna be a lot of pressure
- 44:36Speaker 1: on American women right now, because if you don't have
- 44:38Speaker 1: an accent, I ain't interest off the top. I'm not
- 44:43Speaker 1: even gonna turn around if it's sounded like English. Because
- 44:47Speaker 1: last night I had a wonderful date with this wonderful
- 44:49Speaker 1: lady I had met down here on the island, and
- 44:51Speaker 1: we went to this nice Asian fusion restaurant called Miss
- 44:54Speaker 1: Zoo Zoo. Miss Zoo. You know, I had some Mongoldian beefs.
- 44:57Speaker 1: She had some flounders that or something like that. And

- 45:08Speaker 1: Yeah me, dog, I'm telling you off the top now
- 45:13Speaker 1: here the part that got me when I picked up
- 45:15Speaker 1: When she picked me up, I walked outside. She opened
- 45:19Speaker 1: the car door for me from the inside. Now, when
- 45:22Speaker 1: we left the restaurant, I walked up to her dough
- 45:25Speaker 1: put that in. If she reached around and opened my
- 45:28Speaker 1: door again, I said, this could be the one, you know,
- 45:32Speaker 1: because she opened the door. Because she opened the door
- 45:35Speaker 1: for me. You know, I ain't no woman opened note
- 45:36Speaker 1: dough for me. Ever, it just felt good. I did
- 45:38Speaker 1: it for her. She did it for me. We went out,
- 45:42Speaker 1: had some drinks over at the wall pump. I don't
- 45:44Speaker 1: want to have drink the pump. Now hit a cod pop.
- 45:47Speaker 1: After we find having a drink, I'm about to pay
- 45:50Speaker 1: for the bill. She said no, I would leave the tips.
- 45:53Speaker 1: I said, that's for you. I choked, and then she
- 45:58Speaker 1: took me for a nice walked down the beach to
- 46:02Speaker 1: holding hands, holding hands. I'm just out here just looking
- 46:05Speaker 1: at stars and just daydreaming. All that's possible if you
- 46:08Speaker 1: come down here instead to come sweet, because I'm telling
- 46:10Speaker 1: right now that dinner I know for that great time.
- 46:13Speaker 1: My head was about four hundred and fifty dollars American.
- 46:16Speaker 1: I found that on the bill is said one thirty six.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I don't know the conversion factor, but I paid a
- 46:22Speaker 1: really nice time, and I could do all that because
- 46:24Speaker 1: I'm at conference week right wonderful time. But if you
- 46:28Speaker 1: got an accent, I'm telling you, I'm not turning around.
- 46:30Speaker 1: You ain't got accent. I ain't even looking at you.
- 46:32Speaker 1: You gotta have something sound odd to me that I
- 46:36Speaker 1: turn around for that WK Yeah, I got that. You
- 46:40Speaker 1: just say, hey, Jilior, I'm not even looking at you. Okay,
- 46:43Speaker 1: So this ain't gonna get a right here, Junior, Joe,
- 46:49Speaker 1: Junior angry person, Junior, Hey, what's up there? Crank phone

- 47:24Speaker 1: met a brother down here from Chicago Southside. Yeah, and Uh,
- 47:29Speaker 1: we're down here in the Caymans and we're gonna talk
- 47:31Speaker 1: to him maybe about thirty minutes. Steve, we do nothing
- 47:35Speaker 1: on I'm just here. I'm here for jokes that I'm doing.
- 47:42Speaker 1: If you don't like jokes, don't listen to this show
- 47:44Speaker 1: right here. And I'm not apologizing to nobody else about
- 47:48Speaker 1: no more damn jokes. I tell you, thank you, so
- 47:51Speaker 1: if you don't like my jokes, don't listen to my show.

- 56:40Speaker 1: on dates and trips, and according to my mom, her
- 56:43Speaker 1: boyfriend is better in bed. How do I advise my
- 56:47Speaker 1: parents to get a divorce? Please help? I'm shocked at
- 56:52Speaker 1: everything in this letter, I really am. Yeah, you're definitely
- 56:58Speaker 1: your kind of let her Steve. Let's start with the
- 57:01Speaker 1: fact that you know so much about the inner workings
- 57:03Speaker 1: of your parents relationship. Why are you in their marriage
- 57:07Speaker 1: and their business like this? I don't get it. I mean,
- 57:09Speaker 1: you know about their affairs when they ended, when they started.
- 57:14Speaker 1: You know about their financial situations, how much money they make,
- 57:17Speaker 1: and the fact that the plumber you know this, that
- 57:19Speaker 1: the plumber is better in bed than your dad. It's
- 57:22Speaker 1: just too much. Uh, it's too much to know about
- 57:25Speaker 1: your mom and dad. Who wants to know about their
- 57:28Speaker 1: mom and dad and who they date and sleep within
- 57:30Speaker 1: all of that. I almost couldn't get past that. Uh,
- 57:35Speaker 1: why do you know so much? I mean, who's telling
- 57:37Speaker 1: you all this stuff? I know your mom's gotta be
- 57:39Speaker 1: telling you some stuff, but I gotta ask you, don't
- 57:42Speaker 1: you have a life of your own? Because they seem
- 57:46Speaker 1: your mom and dad, they seem to be okay with
- 57:48Speaker 1: this arrangement. They're living separate lives with people other than
- 57:52Speaker 1: each other, and they probably should get a divorce. They should,
- 57:55Speaker 1: but only they can make that decision. You can't make
- 57:58Speaker 1: that decision for them. So if you want me to
- 58:00Speaker 1: help you. I'm just telling you at this point stay
- 58:03Speaker 1: out of their stuff. It's just stay out of it. There,
- 58:06Speaker 1: ground Steve. Well, you know I specialize in these type
- 58:10Speaker 1: letters because this letter is laced with ignorance. So once
- 58:16Speaker 1: the letter has ignorance in it, the response should be
- 58:20Speaker 1: of the ignorant nature. Why I justify this with therapeutic conversation,
- 58:26Speaker 1: Bible verses and all this help. Let's just get to it.
- 58:31Speaker 1: My parents are miserable with each other. They've been married
- 58:33Speaker 1: almost thirty years and they can't stand each other. I
- 58:38Speaker 1: got an aren't uncle that just like that? They hate?
- 58:41Speaker 1: They don't can They can't stand each other. They hate
- 58:43Speaker 1: each other. We used to go to the y'all family
- 58:48Speaker 1: union and they would sit away from each other and
- 58:51Speaker 1: just look over at each other and just sneer at
- 58:53Speaker 1: each other and say hateful stuff. I can't stand his hands,
- 58:59Speaker 1: look at him losing his hair, stomach, big stomach, he
- 59:03Speaker 1: looked like in nine Moms. And we heard all of it,
- 59:07Speaker 1: so that ain't nothing new. They can't staying each other.
- 59:09Speaker 1: My dad having a fair a few years ago. Then
- 59:11Speaker 1: once your mom find out their fair ended. Shortly after that,
- 59:15Speaker 1: my mom began having an affair. Now you thought it
- 59:19Speaker 1: was just paid back. It was paid back. You know
- 59:21Speaker 1: women nowadays, you can't do a woman any kind of way.
- 59:24Speaker 1: She got the right to do something too, So you're
- 59:26Speaker 1: having a fair now, this woman having a fail the
- 59:29Speaker 1: problem you think. You think your father's affair has ended. Uh,
- 59:33Speaker 1: he just went and got another one. It may have
- 59:36Speaker 1: ended with her, but he didn't went and got another one.
- 59:40Speaker 1: He just found the slick away to hide it. Now,
- 59:43Speaker 1: your mama then started home the fase she got Two
- 59:45Speaker 1: people been married thirty years, can't staying each other and
- 59:48Speaker 1: both of them having a fair. All right, Then you
- 59:52Speaker 1: get down to the letter. I thought my parents marriage
- 59:56Speaker 1: would have ended by now, but nope. My dad has
- 59:59Speaker 1: a great job and great money, and so does my mother.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: All right, we got two people making great money. That's
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: not good because they can do whatever they want to do.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: But my dad falls short in other areas. He would
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: rather pay someone to do housework instead of doing it.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: I object to that right there, that you just said,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: because I must be your daddy, because I am not
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: doing no damn housework. I told my wife when we
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: got married, I said, listen, everybody, I can give you
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: anything you want this world. Don't ask me to sweep
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: or damn thing. Don't they ask me to wipe off
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: no counters, don't ask me to hang up no clothes.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I ain't vacuum and I don't even know where to
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: vacuum matting the house. I don't know, don't. I swear
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: to God, I don't. I don't. I don't understand. I
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: was downstairs in my man cave and discovered we had
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: a laundry room. Been living there seven years, like actually
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: to day. I didn't know we had a damn larger room.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I didn't know where they washed the clothes at. I
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: just know I didn't you know you got clean clothes. Yeah,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I discovered the large never seen it. I saw the door,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: but I never opened it. So you make great money
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: so you don't have to do housework. So if she's
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: trying to blame that on your father that he falls
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: short in the housework, they make great money. And if
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: two people making great money, you can hire somebody to
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: do that. It's people who love to do cleaning self.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I support small biss. My wife asked me on time,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: why do you lay your clothes in the cloths Because
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I'm producing jobs security. If I hang up the damn clothes,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: what is she gonna do when she gets Steve, why
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: don't you wash your plate off? You put it in
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: the scene? What you just put it in the dirty?
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: What does she do? Why am I doing that? If
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I got do have your job, then I need to
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: pay you half the month. Okay, I see, we don't
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: have a problem. So now Marjorie understands that about me.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: My husband don't do housewood, so I have to go
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: with that. So when he tells mom, so instead of
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: doing the housework himself, he tells my mom at the
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: high plumber she called her boyfriend over. Her boyfriend is
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: diplumba right there? Let him? Now, plumbers don't just do pipes.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: What they do? Say something? And then we got to
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: go to break and come back. Yeah, the almost pluge
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that would do it. We'll be back with part two
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: if Steve's response to the Strawberry letter, how can I
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Get my parents to break up? We'll be back at
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: eighteen after the hour you're listening, Steve Hard We're back
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: in the middle of this Strawberry letter, the subject how
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: can I get my parents to break up? Part two
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: of Steve's response, what was your problem with plumbers in
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: the plumb? All right, come on, Steve, let's go through
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: this letter. How can I get my parents to break up?
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: It was written by a child, a daughter of parents
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: who have been married for thirty years. They can't stand
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: each other. The dad had an affair that supposedly ended,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: then the mom had an affair. Now they're just coexisting
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: and the child wants them to break up, and the
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: mother's affair is currently going on as we speak. Let
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: they think that the father's affair has ended, That fair
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: hasn't ended. He didn't got another one. You just need
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: to notice. Uh, the man is a plumber. He does
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: things that your dad won't do. The mom's boyfriend, the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: mom's boyfriend takes her own trips and and and and dates.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: And according to my mom, her boyfriend is better in bed.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: I don't know what mother is having this conversation with
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: their daughter, but all y'all need therapy. I recommend the Dr.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Field Show. She don't come on my show because I don't.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I didn't go to school for that. How do I
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: advise my parents to get a divorce? Here's what you need. See.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Sometimes you have to hear yourself. Like when people come
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: on my talk show, I send them on dates and
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: then I record the dates so women cannot understand why
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: they're not getting asked out. Twice, I take a camera
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: on the date and I let the woman see how
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: they are on the date, and you can see the
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: women's faces just going wild. I said that that's how
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: it looks. You have an iPhone camera. The next time
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: your mom and daddy is talking, record the conversation. The
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: next time you see your mama with her boyfriend feeling well,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: not all of no feeling. The next time you hear
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: about your daddy with his woman, feel me and set
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: it down and play your parents talking to one another.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Then show your daddy his wife's video with her man,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: and then show your mama your daddy's video with his girl.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: This is a divorce because some people have to see it.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: See some people stay married just so they can say
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: they're married. Now you're talking to somebody who knows how
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: to get out. Take your time. This is what we've
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: been working up to. You, on the other hand, know
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: how to get out. A matter of fact, a lady
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: that stalks me all the time, she's a stalker. She's
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: on all my Instagram, Facebook, and she just hates me.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I can't stand you. She called me every day on
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Facebook and Instagram to tell me she can't stand me. Oh,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: she posted every day I can't stand you. I used
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: to block them. She created another one. She just called
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: me every day, tell me she cased it. Then she
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: told me she said, I don't know how you ton
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: wrote a relationship books and you on your third marriage. Finally,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I just let her know. That means I know how
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: to get somebody you on hand or by your damns.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: And if I had to get a fourth one, I
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: could probably get a fourth because you're real cute at
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the bank. So now you just can't stay with a
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: person and be miserable. You could be miserable by yourself,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: or you could be happy by yourself, or you just
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: be by yourself with each other. It's y'alling putty in
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: thirty years. People always say, well, I hate to give
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: up thirty years. My question to you is, do you
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: want thirty more years of what you just hate? Then
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: go get a divorce. You ain't catholic, just go get
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: the divorce. But that's their decision, not so it's not.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: It's my decision. You wrote me figures figure up to
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: the plumber than him. Do you hear your nephews here?
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Big ups to the plumber. Somebody one putting in all
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: the work. What's you from? Yes, you don't see this?
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Are you missed that? Yeah, you're listening to show. Oh
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: it's almost Valentine's Day, and this Valentine's captured the wow

- 1:08:19Speaker 1: get it together now, you fellas. Valentine's Tuesday. Get your
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: man right. Don't be like me the other day. Oh boy,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: But in your world though, it's Valentine's Day every day, Steve, really,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: but I know it doesn't matter, but it's always Valentine's
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Day in your life it is. Yeah, Marjorie, come on
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: for me. But as a man, I can't forget the day.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: You can't because I still have to do something special.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: If I don't do something special, it's gonna be a problem. Yeah,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: it's gonna be a problem. Skip what you did the
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: week before? And I was over here and I went
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: on that trip and I bought this. Ain't got nothing
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: to do with it. What have you done for me? Later?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: It's Valentine. So the other day she said, so, Steve,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: when am I gonna see you? I said, with Baby,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I leave the came as. I gotta go straight to
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: uh l A. Oh that's right, I said, I'm taping
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: on Celebrity Family Feud. She said, okay, that's right, she said,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: So then when am I gonna see you? I said, so, Baby,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: as soon as I get through taping Family Feud, Celebrity
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Family Feud in l A, I gotta go right Chicago
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: because I gotta do the radio show on the talk
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: show as She said. Okay, but Steve, when am I
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: gonna see you? I said, Baby? The whole family is
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: doing Celebrity Family Feud the following week, So when you
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: come out there, that's I said, Baby, I gotta go
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: to work. She said, okay, I'm trying to help you
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: a little bit here. But I see right now you're
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: being stupid. So whatever my wife say that to me,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: I know something. I gotta pay attention. Yet, that's the
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: baby one of my missing she said. Okay, Steve, I'm
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: just gonna help y'all. Valentine's Day is two. Now I'm
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: asking you before you mess up and don't see your
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: wife on Valentine's Day or so. You worked it out,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: didn't you. I ain't worked it out. Check. Oh yeah,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I know. I gotta get something together. I just don't
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: know what I'm gonna do because I got a problem.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Because I still don't know, I'm gonna say that's rude
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: number one. I gotta get something too. And here my
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: problem is I don't bother everything. I don't even know
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: what to get it no more. So now I gotta
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: figure out to see you. She said, Yeah, but that's
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: that's a trick some spectacl No, I can't do too
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: many more spectacles. Don't have to ail up alrighty, okay,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: she wanted to see you? Is how much of meat
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: you want to see? Yeah? I can get it done now,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: all right. Listen. We are live from seven Mile Beach
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: in the Cayman Islands. Comfort Sweets Choice Hotels coming up next.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: There's a couple here from Chicago. It is cold in
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Chicago right now. We have to hear their story. I mean,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: they have a fantastic story. We want to share that
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: story with you. Chicago in the building. Yeah, I'm head,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: I'll be in Chicago on Monday night. Okay, okay, Well,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: you know how you are. You know you're on vacation.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Sometimes you gotta follow your
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: own advice when you go on vacation. Yeah, don't do
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: nothing that you don't normally do. You always say that
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: you ain't ever rolled the moped, don't rint or damn
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: mo page the check you've ben takeing all the skin
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: off your body. If you ain't never been on the
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: boat on the kite over the ocean, don't get your
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: ass up in that kite over that ocean. Stuff. You
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: don't do. Good advice, You're win, sir. You don't even
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: really swim them good. Don't rent the sail boat in
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: back of the hotel in your ass k swim because
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: when it turned over, you gotta situation. What about scuba diving?
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: You know they teach it here, Well, I don't want
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: to say nothing because they're in the water. But see
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: you over there learning how to scuba dive in the
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: swimming pool, and the swimming pool got sides on it.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: They're gonna drop your ass in that ocean. Ain't no
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: sides in the oceans, don't. All right. We're live from
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Comfort Sweets on seven Mile Beach and grand came in island.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: We have something really special for you because couple is
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: here and married couple. How to Chicago. You know, we
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: talked about different things all the time, but we were
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: sitting here at the pool doing the show and met
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: his brother, uh and his wife there at the pool.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: We're just talking. So his name is Johnny O'Neill. He's
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: from Chicago. He's from the Woods, from the Woods, baby
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: straight out the bottom. And uh, his wife is down
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: here and we got to talking and his name is
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: it's Johnny and Tiffany O'Neill and they down here. So Johnny,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: how you doing, man? I'm doing great. Brother, that's good.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: So tell us a little bit about this is your
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: first time to the Cayman, first time anywhere out of
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the country. It's really a blessing and a humbling experience,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: just to even have the experience of being out of
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: the country. I never thought i'd be here. So this
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: is your first time out of a trip for me
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: was Indiana. That was me going out of town Indiana, Ohio.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: I'm on vacation, you know. So I ain't never been
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: anywhere since my wife's first time even on an airplane,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: which was uh and we've been together twenty years. Yeah,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: your first airplane, right, you were terrified, but it worked
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: out all right though. Huh you're almost pulled out. No no, no, no, no,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: I see you got to go. So you're over here.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: So this is your first time. You grew up in Chicago.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: What you do in Chicago? Well, right now, I remember
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: tween jobs. I did a lot of warehousing, but I
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: went to Barbara School, got a barbera license, and I
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: do a little barbering. But the market there for barber
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: is it's it's pretty competitive barber's everywhere, so you know,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: it really don't bring home the bacon, you know. So
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: I do anything I have to do to play my
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: part in the family role. You know, that's what it's about. Well,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: you grew up. Tell me a little bit about your
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: child hood. How'd you grow up? Oh? Man, my childhood,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: I had a wonderful mother. My mother name is Mattie O'Neill,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Garfia and woman. Um, but she didn't She tried to
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: instill the fearing us and her kids, but it didn't
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: work until we got a little older, you know, just hardheaded. Um.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: It was very worth what. We grew up poor. You know,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: we didn't know we was poor. But we had sandwiches
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: every night. So being a kid, the sandwich was good. Yeah. Um,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: we didn't have meat. It didn't bother us nothing. You know,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: I'm not gonna sit there and act like you know,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: you know, growing up in Chicago it's rougher than itself.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: You know, I'm forty three. I'm glad to be here. Um.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I've been shot a total of fourteen times in my life,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: pretty different times. Yeah, the Chicago streets there, it's a
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: drug man. You know, you just don't know how bad. Like,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: just being in the streets is worse than any addiction.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: It's worse than any alcohol. That's like the streets. That's
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: why our kids are died in the streets like they died,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: because they get a taste of being out there and
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: it's no rehab for that. It's no rehab for a hell,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: young guy, don't do that, you know. You know, everybody
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: like to talk a good talking. You know, it's a
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: it's a long time thing. You know. See, a lot
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: of people don't understand it. If you if you live
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: in a certain condition and this is all you know,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: like this is your first time out of the country
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: of the country. So now imagine if you pour, you
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: don't have money for airplane tickets, you don't get exposed
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: to anything else. You just live in the hood. Ain'tybody
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: showing you nothing else. You can't see nothing else, that
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: is nothing in the hood. And the things that you
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: see is not You shouldn't see it. That's what they
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: glorified in the hood. That makes sho that. Okay, it's
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: easy to do this than work hard exactly because you know, Johnny,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: because what happens to a lot of people is you
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: just adapt to your environment. And if that's all you
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: exposed to, then you start thinking, okay, well let me
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: make the best of this and vironment that I'm in. Right, So,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: now what do we do in the environment. Okay, they
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: have some violence over here, but they have some money
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: over there too. Okay, so now it goes together about
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: the valence and the money. It it becomes routine. It
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: doesn't supposed to be natural. Like the things that you
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: think that I'll consider a normal day. To somebody, they say, man,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: that's not normal. You know, it's not normal. You know
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Our kids down in the street. And
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: you know when your friend walk up and say, hey,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: you know so and so got killed last night, you
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: can't even shed a tear because the day before that
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: you lost a friend, and the day before that you
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: lost a friend. You don't even have a chance to
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: mourn a friend lost. It's already February and I'm twenty
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: friends gone already this year. You know. See. Now, for
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: the average person, you can't imagine this. And then your
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: solution for it is very simple. Why don't you just stop,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Why don't you just get out? Why don't you go
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: somewhere else? But you did not really understand how crippling
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: poverty really is. And it's one thing to be to
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: be financially poor, but once you become mentally poor, poverty
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: becomes a state of mind. And now you exist in
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: financial poverty, but now you're mentally poor because you know
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: nothing but that, and people don't understand why the conditions
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: are there. That are no jobs in these neighborhoods, that
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: are no facilities in this neighborhood to better yourself. Now,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: all know local businesses, the local businesses are usually ran
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: by families and they hire families. But in our communities,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: the local businesses are cell phone shops, uh, chicken joints.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: It's nothing productive for you. You don't have anything positive
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: to look at and say, you know what, I want
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: to be inspired to do that. You know, we gotta
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: look to Steve Harvey on TV. But far as community wise,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: even in the community, it's shady. You know, I'm just
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: gonna keep it in one hundred. It's shady there. You know.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: You can't even trust, you know, the police. You can't
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: trust the church. Everybody have a hitting agenda or hind
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: a hitting motive behind why they're trying to do it.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: You know, the police can go to the gangs and
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: see who runs the games and say, hey, we got
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: politicians coming in to day. We'll we will take it
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: easier you guys for two weeks if y'all don't do
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: no violence, you know, for the people can think it's
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: like that. You know, this is like real talk, you
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like, and people live this here
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: every day. You know. Uh, I lived in Chicago all
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: my life, Like I said on forty three, if it
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: wasn't for my wife, about seven years ago, she said, hey, listen,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: we need to move from Chicago. You're not gonna make it.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: We're not gonna make it, you know. And we've been
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: together twenty years. When I first met her, she said,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: you know, it's amazing to meet somebody to say to
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: inspire you, to say, hey, you can do better, and
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: guess what, you can also be better. And for the
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: first ten years I was like, no, I can't be
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: better this. You know how I'm gonna make my money.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this. She said, listen, I got you.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: You know you let all that that drug tad stuff
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: in the gangs. Have you let that go? And I
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: got you. We're gonna believe in God. And you know,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: I'm humble now sitting here. You know, I'm humble to
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: even be here to say, you know, hey, I had
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: somebody that believe in me. Like you know, I graduated
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: high school. It's not a lot of people be surprised.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: It's a lot of educated people in the neighborhood that's smart,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: but don't have the that out to show their brilliance
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: or show they to the outlets here. So they showed
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: a talent streetwise, that's right. They become drug dealers. And
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: the mathematics and the things that you have to do
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: that you know to be successful in the f field.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: If you apply that to a fortunate five hundred company
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: or any other business, now you will achieve greatness. But
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: you don't have the resources of anything like that to
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: even get it started. So you do what you have
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: to do. Because I'm ain concerned it. I had to
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: pay my rent, I have to feed my kids, you know.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: And it's not about the most expensive stuff. It's the
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: little with stuff. You know. A lot of people see
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: the reason we I asked him to come on, and
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: we thought would be a good idea of caller. Say
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: see we should put it wrong because she people need
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: to hear this. Not here's a man and woman been
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: together twenty years, never been out the country, the wife,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: never been on an airplane. Now they in the Cayman Islands.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Now they're on the Steve Harvey Morning shew, you actually
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: talking to eight point five million people. You're owning over
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: nineties cities, telling a story that needs to be heard worldwide.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: People don't understand how this is. You could easily say, see,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: I got out the hood simply because my mama bought
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: travel Host magazines. Some magazines used to buy kind of
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: like travel Host, and she bought them every time. You
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: know how they have magazines at the checkout town and
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: my father used to get mad at my mama for
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: buying the magazine. She said, I'm gonna let little Stevie
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: see something other than what he got to live. And
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: that's what I was going to the Barrier Reads of
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Australia when I was eleven. I was in the Caribbean.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: When I was well, I was I was in Jerusalem.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I saw the Pyramids when I was eight, and all
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the magazines kept me going, I'm gonna go see something
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: else because I didn't want to be in the hood
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: no more. I wanted to be look man, you know
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I noticed. I don't want this to sound arrogant, but
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I was poor, and even when I was living in
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the car for three years from thirty to thirty three,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: all I wanted to do was be rich. I just
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: wanted to be rich because I was sick of being poe.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I had had enough of poe. I don't know how
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: people find it so crazy they want to be rich
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: when you sick of being poor, what you're gonna do?
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: But when I was a little kid, I just wanted
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: to be rich. I just want to have some money. Man,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: don't want Can I go to some of these places?
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: My mama keeps showing me. Those magazines changed my life
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: because it exposed me. Yeah, I just saw something different
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: instead of just seeing the hood. You know, set out
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: there fighting all the time. That's how I became a
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: fighter because I fought all the damn time. But he
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: was in fight. So you're skinny like me, you gotta
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: learn how to fight. I was taking too many weapons,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: so I got in gold start fighting so I can
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: win some of these fights. But that got me out,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: and the magazine's got me out and not travel all
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: the time. And and now because of this right here,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: this ain't your last trip. Once you get exposed, you
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: can't go back. Exposure different from knowledge. You can google knowledge.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: You got to go get exposure. Once you get exposed,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: you will never be the same. You can't fly first
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: class and then walked past them seats no more like
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: you cain't do it. Like those forces that has the
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: blinders off, you can only see four. When you take
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: those blinders off, you can see what's around, you know.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: So we're just trotting alone. Let in life passed you
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: back because you don't you don't know nothing. You you're
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: just trying to get everything else. And we're gonna be
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: right back. We're gonna keep them on a little bit.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: We're talking, and you might even take the phone calls
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: right at there. You're listening to the Steve Harvey morning shows.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: You know, we were listening to Johnny and Tiffany O'Neil.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: We met Johnny pool side here at the Comforty and
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: sweets Um. We were just talking, you know, on the
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: just we we were me and Johnny. Will started talking
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: about cigars and I gave it one of my favorite cigars,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: which is a Koheba signal six. He said, wow, you know,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: and so we're just talking and then we just gouse,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: he's a man man. It's our first time out the country, Steve.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: And then we got talking to wife's first flight and
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: then you've been hearing from it. You know, it's important
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: to hear from people. See, I can tell you I'm
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: from the hood, but I'm so distanced from it it
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: don't even sound believable, you know, you t I tell
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: people I was homeless, lived in the car. They see
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: my life now they see me so far from it.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: You gotta hear sometime from somebody right down that's out here. Now.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: I got a wife, But a couple of things, he said.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: First of all, a woman. I keep telling dudes, man,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: and look, I would have done it every kind of
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: way you can do it. I haven't had one woman.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Too many women outn't I don't. I didn't. I haven't
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: done it every which way you can do it. Ain't
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: nothing work out for me until I got it together
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: with a woman. Just one, just one. You just need
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: the write one. You can stop all this foolishness. A
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: woman can change your life, you know, guy told me,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: a woman is like elevator buttons. They can take you up,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: they can take you down if you get the wrong one,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: head into the base. But if you push the elevator
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: button and it's the right one, a woman man can
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: take you places you ain't ever ever thought you could go.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: And that's what happened with Johnny. He found a woman
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: that just got him up and got him out and
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: got him to thinking something else. So that that's one
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: of the things. The second thing is for everyday people
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: who cannot imagine why the hood is the way it is.
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: You just don't know. Man, if there is no opportunity there,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: what do you want these kids to do? They are
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: performing as they environment dictate, and until they can see
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: something else or we can change something in these neighborhoods,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: it will remain the same. I'm so looking forward to
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: making some changes in some areas in these inner cities
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: to help more young people. That's what the mentoring program
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: has been about for all these years. That's look, they
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: at my ranch. They was at my ranch all this weekend.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: I couldn't be that because I had to I had
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: to be somewhere else. I had two hundred boys out there.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: I had all my guys flying there, my friend brothers,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: all of the speakers. Because and that was one. Now
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: guess what I'm doing another one in Junie, and this
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: time I'm going to Atlanta with two hundred and fifty boys.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: So we always trying to get something done. But unless
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: you give these young men and these young girls another
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: view other than the hood, the hood becomes dominant. You
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: gotta understand that. So quit sitting behind on your suburban
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: desk talking about you don't see why they won't do this.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: I don't want to do what do what man, unless
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: they're able to see something else. You know it is
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: And it's not about a handout or anything like that.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: It's like, show somebody how to get it. It's easy
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: to beg Like you see homeless people and you ask them,
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: you know, they ask for money and you say, hey,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: go do something. Show me how to get how you
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: got it, or show me how a way to provide
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: better for my family. Some people just don't know how
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: to get it, you know. Some people don't have the
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: like the like we say, you know, you get a
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: hook up once we meet somebody that show hook up.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: I'm not asking you for nothing, but say hey, it's
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: a job lead over there. You know it's I passed
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: a company that was harmed. Brother. You know, any of
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: that can help you know what I'm saying nothing, I'm
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: not gonna help him. Let them keep doing what they're doing,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: you know, just help you know, people don't understand. If
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: you never taught the principles of success, success will elude you.
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: I don't care who you are, you grow up in
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: the suburbs. If you're not taught or shown the principles
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: of success, success will elude you. You have got to
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: be taught to principles. If your mother and father don't
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: know him, and the dudes on your block don't know him,
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: and your teacher don't know him, how about this, your
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: minister don't know him well? Well, in our communities, our
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: teachers don't care, you know, they're they're with your kids
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: more than your with them. And when you come home,
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: when your kids come home, you have to do the
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: homework because they've been there all day and don't have
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: a clue on what the teachers been trying to teach them.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: And you have been to school in twenty years, so
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: how are you going to teach them? You know? So,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: so it's a pattern that that really needs to be
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: broke down and restructured. Right. You know, it's easy to say, okay,
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: this is the part I'm doing. It's easy to shove
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: some money out someway. It's easy to just get some
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: empty advice it's harder to get in there and roll
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: your sleeves up and be consistent in trying to teach
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: somebody saying, Hey, we're gonna do this together, and I'm
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: gonna be here until you get that right. You know,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: you know, uh, I think it's great. I want to
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: thank you Johnny for stopping by. Man, are we getting
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: a lot of tweak talking about this interview? A lot
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: of stuff coming in, so appreciate you know, Jess, you know,
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: each one teach one. You know what I'm saying, Let's
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: love each other. It's it's a possibility that everybody can
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: achieve greatness together. Absolutely. But here's the key for those
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: of us that understand even those who don't that are
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: well meaning people who ain't spent a day in the hood.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I met a lady. I'm pretty sure she from the hood.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: They go to Haiti to help out did and hate it,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: But stop smacking people's hand down when they want to
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: join in. They may not be from the hood, but hell,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: if they got a heart to help, why are you
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: you know, y'all, but he man, we we man, We're tripping.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: Were trippling with everybody in the White House right now.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: But hey, man, the White House ain't your God. President
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Trump is not off now if you hadn't made it
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: thus fall, why you keep banking? Don't lie in the
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: fall apart because we got a different time of president.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: I like this in the fall apart. I don't care
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: who they put the White House. You're listening. Yeah, those
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: chicken always around. Well, one thing about it. You ain't
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: gonna be hungry in the Cayman because all these chickens
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: walking around here. I got three two chickens in front
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: of KFC the other day and they look comfortable. How
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: would I be damned? Seriously, I took a I took
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: a picture of two chickens walking in front of kid.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: They walk around. My father was living. All these chickens
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: be dead, my father killing a chicken. I went from
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: the kick from the country. My dad would be killing
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: chickens and selling chicken on the street. No tissary, chicken,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: fried chicken, chicken, chicken lanes. These chickens just walking around,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: and you cannot be hungry. The only damn chickens down
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: just walking around. They don't run from your on the
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: golf court treating away. One week you thought it was crazy,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: You thought it was crazy, like Junior, you've never dated
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: a woman that was crazy? No, not me personally, but
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: a man. I prefer man. Yeah, a man was crazy
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: in the sky. Seventy relationship sixty nine of them was
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: with crazy like crazy, right, don't you crazy? Guys like ladies,
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: You can be crazy if you take care of yourself.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: Know what you cannot do? Just be crazy and crazy looking? Yeah,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: crazy and fine if you take care of yourself. We
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: can tolerate crazy for a little while. Then we're gonna
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: find out we ain't got skill set for right. But
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: so is there a limit? You know, like as comedians,
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: you don't go over that edge of their limits. You're crazy?
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: Oh you mean how crazy? Wan't crazy? How crazy? I
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: had a roll when I was I had a Roman
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: roll from under my car that would look wait yeah
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: she rolled, yeah, roll from under the car. Where are
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: you going? See that type of crazy right there? You're
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: just laying You've been waiting out the Hollo ship it
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: out there because I had to be the work in
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: the morning. Sick in your ass, where are you going?
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: Your life is crazy in the sky? Been under that
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: all night? I know it was hot when that muffler
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: came on I got it. She had been under there.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: She screwed it under. She rolled out. Okay, when we
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: come back, a couple of more crazy stories. When you're listening.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: I was just telling her if you're if you're an alcoholic,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: you have got to stay at the Confident End. If
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: you're an alcohol you got to stay here because they
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: got a bartender. But you know, I don't really drink,
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: and I don't know what I was thinking about. Yeah,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: we were all shocked when you ordered. Well, you know
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: she's cute, so oh yeah, yeah, I'll have them looking
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: for stuff I do drink, and I didn't see it.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: So I Monica drinks pineapple and vocca, so I said,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: let me have a pineapple voca. She bought the drink out.

- 1:34:12Speaker 1: I didn't know where we were leave back. He forgot.
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: We were in Grand Caping, and I was, I was
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: lost my mind. I was. I went to play golf
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: yesterday and got ready to eat an iguana. I was
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: just gonna eat his ass. And it looked delicious, because
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: this vodka vodka is not what I drink. That iguana
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: looked delicious, and I wanted. I didn't want to barbecue
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: him or nothing. I don't want to grab his ass
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: and bite off because you know, I eat sushi. And
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: that's how I had worked it out in my mind,
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: because I had just saw a swimming and I said,
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: that's sushi. Yeah, this girl made a drink. Man. I said, no,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: Lord Jesus, I won't be drinking that no more. I
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: went home. Man, when I got through, I ain't packed
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: or nothing. Yeah, we thought, hang out with you, like
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: have a party for us yesterday. And I went to
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: the cigars, so well, he bought some cigars. What I
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: don't know how I'm will get back. I couldn't have
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: that kind of pressure. Let me tell you all about
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: and and by the way, thank you to old Havana Cigars.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: And one over there one surely you know I ain't
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: over there here, but he just want to get a story.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: Oh no, that's why I'm I'm on the wall down there.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: I'm on the wall to every major city cigar shop
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: in the world. I'm in cigar shops all the while.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: I'm one of the more famous cigars other than Auto Schwarzeneck.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: But he don't give you none of his cigar. He's
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: a big cheap ass cigar smoker. I will be smoking
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: cigars and you will be with him, and he won't
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: even offer you one. I'm gonna how much money you've

- 1:42:11Speaker 1: Johnny O'Neill, and until your vacation. First time out of
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: the country. Alexander Onion race story. Um, yes, Steve, what
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: is it of the seventeen of the seventy relationships I've
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: been in, sixty nine of them have ended in complete disaster?
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: I dated a girl one time. She was real fine,
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: but I was allergic to her. And there has somebody
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: come around and you just started itching. That was just it,
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: Just what you mean? We'll be sitting there, then I'll
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: be going She shore is fine, but what's wrong with them?
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: And I was just allergic to him? Man and all.
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: She's beautiful, but she had a real nasty attitude. She
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: was rude to waitresses and everything. Man's wrong with this girl? Right?
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: Here and then, uh, I just discovered, man, you just
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: can't I think because a woman is physically gorgeous that
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: it's gonna be something. Because I had to learn what
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: Boomerang's grandmother taught me that no matter how fine a
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: woman is, there's a man somewhere sick and tired of her.
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: Somewhere somewhen, there is a man that they had enough.
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: So I'm very fortunate now I finally got it right.
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: Took a long time. I have a wonderful life, think you.
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: I had a girl and I didn't go by her
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: how for fold as straight. She called me and I
- 1:44:10Speaker 1: didn't pick up the phone. So the next thing I know,
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: this girl didn't had my picture put on the back
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: of the milk carton as if my ask is missing?
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: Looking for you? Since you ain't been by hearing fold
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: as you're missing, have you seen this guy? Are we
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: topping story? I've just been telling you the light stuff.
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: Come on, there's more. I had a woman tell a
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: United States mail box up off the corner trying to
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: hit me with the car, just told the whole mailbox
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: out what she was going for me. And I had
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: just turned the corner and I heard and I turned around,
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: I saw the mail box just flying mail everywhere, and
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: she got out the car said, I tried to get
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: your ass. Okay, but we were talking about mail that
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: we got one I didn't have. A girl didn't got
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: herself fed ex to my house. Wow in the box
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: with holes in the box, breathing. We're talking about mail.
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: I'm here to day delivered. Hold on. I came out
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: of hardware, so here we go, and then had a
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: red dot appeal. And if I hadn't seen that dot
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: wouldn't be today. I wouldn't be here. Yeah, because I
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: just looked up real quick and she was on the
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: rooftop and a beat. Didn't like that, and that's what's saying. Yeah,
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: I was going bad. And you love honey today? Right?
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: Oh my god, thank God for me a little crazy much?
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, fine, you love him so much. Fine.
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: I had a woman one time. Actually was that My
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: niece was in a girl's cop Uh. This one was
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: so crazy. She actually got in the girl's cow uniform
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: and everything. But she over there with the kids, like,
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: I don't see she got not a patch on us hand,
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: still looking at me. I see you for listen, Yeah,
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: I try to sell you some cookie. Yeah, just coming
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: to the dog, I see you. Wow. Yeah, yeah, thats
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: a crazy relationship, girl Scott fishing it. When I first
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: moved to New York five, I was coming in late
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: night and I saw a roll of duct tape. I
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: was coming up the steps in my building and I
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: just saw a roll of duct tape roll across the float.
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: Just can't be good when you know, duct tape ain't
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: ever good to see late at night and duct table.
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: I stood up on the stelp. Yeah. She was sitting
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: behind the desk, dressed as the domet. She had duct
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: taped domain. He had his coat on and everything, with
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: her hat pulled down over her eyes like I ain't
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: gonna see this help. She had put him in the
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: hostage situation. She was at my damn dope. She got
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: two shots off. I was pretty quick back then. I've
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: been stupid. I've been stabbing before I woke up. I
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: woke up one morning, I woke up early one morning.
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: The only thing woke me up and and all I
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: the only thing woke me up with. I just heard
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: that her ass had the butcher knife. And we're going
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: back like that, she said, and rolled out to wait
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: that top of stamp clean through the mass and the
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: knife got stuck in the float. That's the only thing
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: he said. I can't wait a minute. But I just
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: say this sounds like Lifetime, that movie. This is real,
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: real life. What a hair rough stuff. It's really really snap.
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: Almost drowned one time from a d No, she didn't
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: try to drown me. I was at the pool with
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: another girl and she walked up, so I went on
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: the water until she left the pool. I damn gonna killed.
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: I don't know, but I was down there longer than
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: the breath. I I even took two short drests and
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: just took you in water. I took too short. When
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: I came up, my hand to get life. Mouth to
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: the mouth. God, yeah, water in your love, little bit.
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: I stayed down and she a food looking for the
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: girl was fine. They over there talking. She comes for
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: a minute. That's a nice PTI you got on and hey,
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: you have for me to quit talking. So you were
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: shot at you were almost dabbed at night and then drowned.
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: Thanks love. Yeah, I'm sixty years old. Yeah, I've been
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: in seveny relations. Sixty nine of them have ended. Did
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: someone throw it a raw chicken at you before. I've
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: been slapped with a raw chicken. What happened? There was
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: in the kitchen talking, she got mad. I said, whatever,
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: picked up a piece of chicken it was raw, and
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: went and slapped me with a raw chicken. Damn to
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: knock me out. You still eat chicken? Yeah, I love chicken,
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: but he has to be fried. I do not eat it,
- 1:49:57Speaker 1: no rotisserie cious, not like. But if I hadn't been
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: a fighter and being able to take a shot, I
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: saw the chicken coming, so I locked in, So I
- 1:50:06Speaker 1: took the shot like a man. Yeah, I was woozy, though.
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: What's the moral to these stories? What if you learned
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: crazy lovers out the really understood ain't really know more?
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: You know, just get on the horse and try to
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: ride again. They like crazy like crazy. If you take
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: care of yourself, a man will tolerate your craziness initially,
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: if you just have a great presentation, you know, if
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: you got your hair right, got your nails done, crazy
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: way up under that. Yeah, you know you gotta assessing humor. Yeah,
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: you know it sounds like describing I don't have one
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: that stole my garage and passed by the house. Every
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: our own out and hit it up. Yeah s out
