- 2:13Speaker 1: I just want to dive right in because I think
- 2:15Speaker 1: I got it. I think I got something that's uh
- 2:19Speaker 1: that rings for everybody here. It is did you know?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Did you know? And I'm talking to everybody, did you
- 2:30Speaker 1: know that there is a life for you that's greater
- 2:37Speaker 1: then you could have ever dreamed of? Did you know
- 2:41Speaker 1: that there is a life for you better than you
- 2:45Speaker 1: could have ever imagined. There's a life for you better
- 2:49Speaker 1: than better than the one you thought you could have.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Did you know that there's a life for you better
- 2:55Speaker 1: than the one you've ever felt before. Did you know, oh,
- 3:01Speaker 1: that that was a life for you greater than the
- 3:05Speaker 1: one you saw for yourself. Did you know that there
- 3:12Speaker 1: is a life for you greater than you had expected?
- 3:19Speaker 1: And did you know that there was a life for
- 3:21Speaker 1: you much bigger than the one you wanted? And lastly,
- 3:29Speaker 1: did you know that what I just said is true?
- 3:34Speaker 1: Did you know that? Did you know that the things
- 3:38Speaker 1: I just said are available to you? Yeah? You. It's
- 3:46Speaker 1: not just intended for other people. It's not just intended
- 3:52Speaker 1: for the rich. It's not intended for those with college degrees.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's not just intended for those who receive awards. It's
- 4:07Speaker 1: for everybody. Yeah, you too. It's for you who didn't
- 4:16Speaker 1: get your high school diploma. It's for you who are incarcerated.
- 4:24Speaker 1: It's for you who have two strikes. It's for you
- 4:31Speaker 1: who've been sentenced to life. It's for you who've gotten
- 4:37Speaker 1: out and have a felony record and can't seem to
- 4:39Speaker 1: get it together. It's for you who have an illness.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It's for you who the doctors have given up on.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It's for you, this life I'm talking about, it's for you.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Did you know that there's a life for you better
- 5:03Speaker 1: than the one you dreamed about, better than the one
- 5:06Speaker 1: you've imagined, a life better than the one you thought of.
- 5:11Speaker 1: That there's a life for you better than the one
- 5:13Speaker 1: you've ever felt before. There's a life for you better
- 5:17Speaker 1: than the one you saw for yourself. There's a better
- 5:20Speaker 1: life for you than the one you expected and even
- 5:23Speaker 1: the one you wanted. Did you know that this is
- 5:27Speaker 1: true for you? See? Here's here's let me give you
- 5:32Speaker 1: the secret to this thing. Now you have to believe
- 5:38Speaker 1: that it is for you. Now, you gotta fight through
- 5:41Speaker 1: the doubts. You gotta fight through the will of Satan,
- 5:44Speaker 1: because the devil is busy. Man. The devil wants you
- 5:47Speaker 1: to think that is hopeless. The devil wants you to
- 5:50Speaker 1: think that this is it. The devil wants you to
- 5:53Speaker 1: think there ain't no more to it. The devil wants
- 5:55Speaker 1: you to think that this applies to other people. But you, Yeah,
- 5:58Speaker 1: you've been dealt the worst hand of them all. What
- 6:01Speaker 1: you ate, But that's what the devil wants you to think.
- 6:03Speaker 1: So you gotta fight through. Now, you gotta fight through
- 6:06Speaker 1: to get to what I just said is available for you.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But what else you got to do? You ain't doing
- 6:12Speaker 1: nothing else, might as well fight. Why just wake up
- 6:15Speaker 1: and just let it be? Why would you wake up
- 6:17Speaker 1: every day and just exist when there's a chance for
- 6:20Speaker 1: you to actually live. See the reason I don't mind
- 6:24Speaker 1: smiling so much now is because I'm no longer existing.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'm living now. See. See, that's where you want to
- 6:31Speaker 1: get to. You don't want to exist to wake up,
- 6:34Speaker 1: paycheck to paycheck, date today, not knowing, not understand and
- 6:39Speaker 1: not having can't can't get this, can't get that, can't
- 6:42Speaker 1: go here, can't go there, Gotta wait, gotta wait, gotawait,
- 6:46Speaker 1: gota wait till it seems like you never get nowhere.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You can get out of that rut of life, feeling
- 6:51Speaker 1: like when you wake up in the morning that your
- 6:53Speaker 1: life is whole hum that you're just in a rut.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I drive the same way to work. I do the
- 6:59Speaker 1: same thing on my job. When I get off, I
- 7:01Speaker 1: drive all the way back home. I sit there, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: read the newspaper, I watered the lawn. I'm so sick
- 7:07Speaker 1: of my life. It ain't this ain't what I wanted. Man,
- 7:10Speaker 1: and start wake up and start over, do the same thing.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Then the weekend gets in. You gotta mow the lawn
- 7:16Speaker 1: and then you try to fix something in the garage
- 7:19Speaker 1: and you feel like your life is in the rut
- 7:21Speaker 1: I'm talking about. If this feels like a rut to
- 7:23Speaker 1: you know, if it's what you've always wanted, I'm cool
- 7:25Speaker 1: with that. But I'm talking to people who want it more,
- 7:29Speaker 1: who would love their life to be more, who would
- 7:31Speaker 1: love their life two different to be different. I'm not
- 7:34Speaker 1: criticizing you if I just described your life. I'm just
- 7:38Speaker 1: only talking to the ones who would dad to believe
- 7:42Speaker 1: that there's more to it than this. I'm only talking
- 7:45Speaker 1: to the ones who would dad dad to accept the challenge,
- 7:49Speaker 1: to fight through and see what God got for you
- 7:53Speaker 1: instead of listening to Satan all the time. The devil
- 7:56Speaker 1: is busy, man, Please understand, he's so busy, so busy
- 7:59Speaker 1: trying to trick you, get you into the groove. You
- 8:02Speaker 1: know they're doing all kinds of stuff. Now, man, you
- 8:05Speaker 1: know atheists and already got prayer taken out of schools.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Excuse me, look at our skills schools, not as a
- 8:11Speaker 1: push by the atheist to get the words in God
- 8:14Speaker 1: we trust, taking off our money. Here's a deal. If
- 8:16Speaker 1: you don't believe in God, and you don't want trust
- 8:18Speaker 1: and God just going about your business. But what you
- 8:20Speaker 1: can't do is spill off all into what I'm talking about.
- 8:23Speaker 1: That's the problem I have with all all of them.
- 8:26Speaker 1: If you're gonna do you, didn't do you, but don't
- 8:28Speaker 1: spill off into what I got now. See, if you
- 8:30Speaker 1: don't believe what I'm saying, then I ain't talking to you.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Let's just be clear about the relationship with Steve Harvey
- 8:36Speaker 1: and his crew. I'm only talking to the people that
- 8:39Speaker 1: believe that are looking for something else, that wants something more,
- 8:43Speaker 1: that wants something better, that's gotta be out there searching
- 8:47Speaker 1: and hoping and and trying to do more. That's all
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm talking to now. If you don't believe what I'm saying,
- 8:53Speaker 1: it's true, didn't go ahead and try it your way?
- 8:55Speaker 1: Go see write me, email me, let me know how
- 8:57Speaker 1: it's going for you. But I'm telling and you have
- 9:00Speaker 1: a way that's tried and true. If you go to God,
- 9:03Speaker 1: if you go to your creator, your makeup, if you
- 9:07Speaker 1: go to him and you go to him for real
- 9:11Speaker 1: and tell him, hey, you know what I want you
- 9:14Speaker 1: to go ahead and take over from here. I'm done.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I didn't done all I know how to do, out
- 9:19Speaker 1: and out and tried everything I know how to try.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm sick of me right now. Hey, look here, you
- 9:24Speaker 1: created me what you want me to do, and you're
- 9:26Speaker 1: a cool thing about it. When I made that decision, y'all. See,
- 9:30Speaker 1: I was so afraid for years that I was gonna
- 9:32Speaker 1: miss out on something if I did that. I couldn't
- 9:34Speaker 1: do this no more. But the stuff I needed to
- 9:36Speaker 1: stop doing. I really need to stop the things I
- 9:39Speaker 1: was afraid of not being able to do anymore, with
- 9:41Speaker 1: the very same things I really didn't need to be
- 9:43Speaker 1: doing no more in the first place. On the real man,
- 9:47Speaker 1: on the reel, all that temporary fun, I was having
- 9:51Speaker 1: all them temporary outlets. I was using all them temporary
- 9:54Speaker 1: things trying to fulfill myself I was doing. I was
- 9:57Speaker 1: just doing a bunch of temporary mess man. I said,
- 10:00Speaker 1: hold on, man, I want something permanent. Man, I want
- 10:03Speaker 1: a permanent feeling in my heart. That's gonna be all right.
- 10:07Speaker 1: So he replaced all that fun with joy. But it's
- 10:10Speaker 1: only because I went and I faced him. He didn't
- 10:13Speaker 1: take me and stop me from being me. He just
- 10:17Speaker 1: made a better version of me. See God, don't take
- 10:21Speaker 1: he because all the stuff he sent you through, he
- 10:23Speaker 1: needed you to go through all him. He needed you
- 10:25Speaker 1: to have him experience or what it felt like to
- 10:27Speaker 1: be locked up. He needed you to have experience and
- 10:29Speaker 1: know what it was to lose everything. He needed you
- 10:32Speaker 1: to have experience to make you tough. You're just gonna
- 10:35Speaker 1: be a tough one. I'm a tough soldier in his army,
- 10:39Speaker 1: that's all. I just sain't one of the weak ones.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I'll protect the weak ones. God didn't take a lot
- 10:46Speaker 1: of stuff from except the stuff I needed. But the
- 10:49Speaker 1: stuff he made me to be. He allowed me to
- 10:52Speaker 1: keep it, and he just made a better me. Do that,
- 10:54Speaker 1: y'all and you can have what you want. You're listening, baby,
- 11:05Speaker 1: It is the Steve Harbing Morning showIn and giving Brown
- 11:10Speaker 1: and we're holding it down this show right here, dedicated.

- 11:16Speaker 1: maybe to get it in. Be talking about the one
- 11:18Speaker 1: and only back yard barbecue. Baby, you ain't got much
- 11:21Speaker 1: time left get it in. Now Here comes the proper

- 11:34Speaker 1: and please don't let my meat touch my chicken, touch
- 11:36Speaker 1: the barbecue on the grill. This barbecue chicken, that's all
- 11:39Speaker 1: I want, just touch the cold slot. I don't want
- 11:45Speaker 1: that morning jing. Everyone want to hit them the ride
- 11:49Speaker 1: and that side of the family that would be caught
- 11:51Speaker 1: up a rail, y'all, Good morning jay. I want two wings,
- 11:56Speaker 1: two sliders, bees, potato salad, and then I want my Dadkery.
- 12:05Speaker 1: It ain't gonna be no Bobby, your happy uncle show up.
- 12:08Speaker 1: That would be what junior baby ain't more than everybody. Listen,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I just poked at the front door. That all right,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'll pull right up to the dope. You gotta go
- 12:18Speaker 1: to the garag because I'll blocking the dope, block everybody,
- 12:22Speaker 1: block everybody. Yeah, yeah, good money. Not only do he
- 12:27Speaker 1: have money, he related the money that Steve nephew. Y'all time,

- 12:45Speaker 1: keep turning it. Man, what's something man? Yeah, Bobby kill man.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Let all go down a few weeks. But I thought
- 12:55Speaker 1: you were off me. Oh no, but I'll go to
- 12:58Speaker 1: Bobby Kulle. You know, I'm gonna have that little that
- 13:00Speaker 1: little veggie berg over there in the corner that don't
- 13:01Speaker 1: nobody care about. Its sitting right, you know, made of beans.
- 13:06Speaker 1: They won't that. But you're just sitting there. Yeah, you
- 13:10Speaker 1: can do that for yourself. You can put that pressure
- 13:12Speaker 1: on yourself and go to the bottle que. And you know,
- 13:15Speaker 1: I gotta temptation to. Yeah, I must so much. Out
- 13:22Speaker 1: of everything, I really missed chicken. I can smell it
- 13:24Speaker 1: on people. I can what. Yeah, I'm gonna get you
- 13:28Speaker 1: some chicken cologne. The chicken chicken smell like. Miss it, man,
- 13:39Speaker 1: I miss it more than anything. I missed chicken eating meat.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I just stopped eating. I lost a little weight with it,
- 13:46Speaker 1: so I still kind of Some woman told him he
- 13:49Speaker 1: was cute. You know how it goes. You know how
- 13:51Speaker 1: it goes. You know the white lady that told him
- 13:55Speaker 1: that's what? Did you know? How did you get? You
- 14:03Speaker 1: know what? I let you say something. I'm on it, man, Tommy.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I thought you'd be the one to barbecue though. As
- 14:09Speaker 1: much as you like to cook, I will labor day weekend,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I will. I might not eat all that, but I
- 14:15Speaker 1: will be for everybody else. I cook. I like to cook,
- 14:17Speaker 1: so I thought that Tommy can't cook. But I don't
- 14:21Speaker 1: know why I'm talking. I don't even like company, so
- 14:23Speaker 1: I know I ain't up. Won't be at my house.
- 14:28Speaker 1: That's the show. He could be at my house. I
- 14:30Speaker 1: love company, I love it. Are all right listen? Coming
- 14:35Speaker 1: up at thirty two after the hour. President Trump threw
- 14:38Speaker 1: his son, Donald Trump Jr. Under the bus, and Jay
- 14:42Speaker 1: is here with sports lies inside of something funny. We'll
- 14:45Speaker 1: be back at thirty two after you're listening to Steve
- 14:48Speaker 1: Harvey Show. All right, Jay, Anthony Brown, check this out.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We talked about it before we went to break. President
- 14:57Speaker 1: Trump through his son, Donald Trump Junior under the bus.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Right under moved under the bus. Just smooth. Thank your
- 15:10Speaker 1: son called him and went, seriously, be up with that boy?
- 15:18Speaker 1: Big is the president driving? Though? I think President good
- 15:24Speaker 1: good yet that sounds like a big old bus. You
- 15:31Speaker 1: can see the brakes in the hall and right and
- 15:35Speaker 1: hear that beeping, and hear that beeping and ran it
- 15:38Speaker 1: right over his son. Yeah, the President is admitting something
- 15:42Speaker 1: we already knew that his son, Donald Trump Junior met
- 15:44Speaker 1: with the Russian attorney he got damaging information about Hillary
- 15:48Speaker 1: Clinton during the campaign for the White House, but he
- 15:51Speaker 1: also maintains that he knew nothing about it. Okay, now,
- 15:54Speaker 1: did you know or didn't you know? Yeah? Like, what's
- 16:01Speaker 1: remember that show? I know nothing? Remember what? What's that?
- 16:10Speaker 1: President has been urged to stop tweeting about the Trump
- 16:13Speaker 1: Tower meeting, and uh, we'll see that. Yet remains to
- 16:17Speaker 1: be seen if he's going to stop tweeting about that,
- 16:20Speaker 1: particularly his lawyers have advised him to stop doing that,
- 16:22Speaker 1: because but he didn't advise him. Clearly, he does his
- 16:25Speaker 1: own thing. Yeah, you don't listen to nobody, man, So
- 16:28Speaker 1: one more time. The bus, some big old bus. That's
- 16:36Speaker 1: your son with your name, not just your son, this
- 16:41Speaker 1: son bears your name, Donald Trump Jr. That's what. You
- 16:47Speaker 1: don't care at all. You only care about yourself. That's
- 16:49Speaker 1: when you tell your dad. You go seriously, Dad, seriously, really.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I thought we were all in this together. But our
- 16:57Speaker 1: stories had said, you know, we planned this to tell
- 17:00Speaker 1: him this, and now you're back in Okay anyway, said
- 17:05Speaker 1: yeah he was, but I didn't know nothing. I don't
- 17:07Speaker 1: know nothing about it. Stop tweeting. When is he gonna
- 17:12Speaker 1: stop tweeting just meeting. I ain't never know nobody was
- 17:15Speaker 1: up there. It was up there in the room, in
- 17:19Speaker 1: the room to meet when meet? What was he doing
- 17:23Speaker 1: at the I was at my office next Doe. But
- 17:25Speaker 1: I didn't know nothing bad him and Maniford and his
- 17:30Speaker 1: son in law usher there. I didn't know nothing about it.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Now I heard it was all up there, but I
- 17:35Speaker 1: wasn't up there. Ya thinks gonna last? When is it
- 17:40Speaker 1: gonna play all the way? If could last two times?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Like it really could if we don't vote, If we
- 17:45Speaker 1: don't get out, could last two times if we don't vote. Yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 1: and we have to vote, um, yeah, people who ain't
- 17:54Speaker 1: here and I'm often to vote for And there are
- 17:57Speaker 1: a lot of primary elections today, Hile, big special election
- 18:02Speaker 1: going on, So you guys have to register to vote
- 18:05Speaker 1: in the primaries as we count down to the mid
- 18:08Speaker 1: term elections in November. Vote vote today, Kansas. There are
- 18:13Speaker 1: a lot of key races. That's the Chicago Early Vote Off.
- 18:20Speaker 1: That's from Chicago vote Early vote Off. But yeah, I mean,
- 18:26Speaker 1: don't expect someone else to do it for you. You
- 18:28Speaker 1: have to actually get out and vote. Okay, that's one
- 18:32Speaker 1: thing you have to do yourself. No one else can
- 18:35Speaker 1: do that for you. So if you care about what's
- 18:38Speaker 1: going on in this country, you have to vote. If
- 18:41Speaker 1: you've been complaining about what's going on in this country,
- 18:44Speaker 1: you have to get out of Yeah. We need the
- 18:48Speaker 1: kids to vote too. Yeah, if you're eighteen and over. Yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 1: all right, Well it's time for something funny. Jay, and
- 18:57Speaker 1: you've written a segment called great sports Lies. Tell us
- 19:00Speaker 1: sports line. Get that I don't want to sell. Everybody
- 19:02Speaker 1: will be to Jay's bott to night, Los Angeles, California,
- 19:05Speaker 1: and this weekend Chuckle's Baby Memphis. Chuckles, chuckles, chuckles. These
- 19:10Speaker 1: are sports lives. Now. We know the president won't sometimes
- 19:13Speaker 1: not tell the truth. But Junior and Tommy what you
- 19:17Speaker 1: say sometimes Junior Dammy, you got some sports lines, man? Yeah, man,
- 19:24Speaker 1: it's some great sports lines has been told like sports
- 19:28Speaker 1: The latest one I've heard j R. Smith and Lebron
- 19:32Speaker 1: James textis to day I'm no good head. Well they're
- 19:37Speaker 1: not talking after that last game. No, no, no, I
- 19:42Speaker 1: know that's a lie. Get I'll tell you tell you
- 19:46Speaker 1: an tell the Dallas Cowboys going to the Super Bowl
- 19:50Speaker 1: every year, every year they ain't play the game. We
- 19:53Speaker 1: ain't seen the team. We don't even know they got
- 19:56Speaker 1: a good team. But every year we're going to the
- 19:59Speaker 1: super Bowl. Every one of the latest ones I heard
- 20:05Speaker 1: to Jake. One of the latest ones, Conor McGregor, had
- 20:09Speaker 1: a shot at beating Floyd Monday. Way. People actually believe
- 20:12Speaker 1: that we're gonna after shop Man. That boy go because
- 20:18Speaker 1: he fight different. He's gonna whoop Floyd Man. Floyd who
- 20:22Speaker 1: is behind? Great? Okay, here's one that I really this
- 20:30Speaker 1: is me. A whole lot of black people like and
- 20:33Speaker 1: understand hockey. There's no way black people understand hockey. First
- 20:38Speaker 1: of all, we don't even like it that cold. We're
- 20:41Speaker 1: tropical people. We don't even get down in the third?
- 20:43Speaker 1: Is all that skating? What they skate? That fast? Fun?
- 20:47Speaker 1: Who got the puck? We don't even know what they
- 20:50Speaker 1: look at? What the puck is going on? It's happening,
- 20:54Speaker 1: And why don't they have any not not us? He
- 21:02Speaker 1: got another one, Johnny Man said, will make a great
- 21:05Speaker 1: NFL quarterback. Who yeahs a bus up there and a
- 21:16Speaker 1: whole enough country. Oh he can, he can. He's having
- 21:20Speaker 1: a whole hard time with the Canada. He was horrible.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Another one, he's a great sports Last I heard Tommy's

- 31:16Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey f M dot com site. Okay, alright,
- 31:20Speaker 1: and entertainment News, Tommy, to answer your question. Beyonce opened
- 31:24Speaker 1: up about body acceptance. She bared her soul. But she's
- 31:28Speaker 1: not doing a new photo spread. Okay, let's talking. We're talking.
- 31:33Speaker 1: She bared her insides. Okay, what's going to go deeper? Okay,
- 31:37Speaker 1: she's talking about all bears. Does that tell a man?
- 31:45Speaker 1: What does that say to a man? That story to
- 31:50Speaker 1: to a not deep thinking man? Yes, thank you, min
- 31:58Speaker 1: baring all I would have said Beyonce goes nude or
- 32:05Speaker 1: something like that, you know, Beyonce's naked pictures. But anyway, um,
- 32:09Speaker 1: so we got to read. Yeah, you gotta read this article.
- 32:14Speaker 1: It's it is deep. Though. She opened up about her
- 32:16Speaker 1: body acceptance and a whole lot more in the September
- 32:19Speaker 1: issue with Vogue. She says, when Blue Ivy was born.
- 32:22Speaker 1: She put pressure on herself to get back in shape
- 32:25Speaker 1: in just three months, and she did it. If you recall,
- 32:28Speaker 1: she even scheduled a small tour to make sure she
- 32:30Speaker 1: got it done. Beyonce says, looking back, that was crazy.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I was still breastfeeding when I performed at the Rebel
- 32:38Speaker 1: Shows in Atlantic City back in two thousand twelve. Yes, yes, yes,
- 32:42Speaker 1: feeding and state nursing. You heard me, nursing, okay. Beyonce
- 32:47Speaker 1: changed her approach when her twins Roomy and Sir were born.
- 32:50Speaker 1: She said she was up to two hundred and eighteen pounds.
- 32:54Speaker 1: That's a lot. Yet I like him digging in that.
- 33:02Speaker 1: That ain't no way like Tommy always said, get your
- 33:05Speaker 1: weight up, to get your weight, get your weight up.
- 33:08Speaker 1: She had some weight on that. That's a lot of weight.
- 33:12Speaker 1: She was two hundred and eighteen pounds when she gave
- 33:14Speaker 1: birth to the twins and she had to have a
- 33:17Speaker 1: c section because their health and the baby's health, Uh,
- 33:20Speaker 1: they were they were all in danger. Yeah, so I
- 33:23Speaker 1: can't wait after all my kid I did. I went
- 33:25Speaker 1: through what you can't weight a man can't after I
- 33:31Speaker 1: remember it was, yeah, talking about the dad bods. That's
- 33:35Speaker 1: a whole another story. Y'all gotta hit me to that.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Oh dad bods, Yeah, your mirror, just go by the
- 33:44Speaker 1: mirror time. You know that gut that you're always trying
- 33:46Speaker 1: to get rid of. Yeah, that dad body in a
- 33:50Speaker 1: bad bud because that was that got a bad budd too,
- 33:55Speaker 1: So you got a bad dad body. But any way,
- 34:00Speaker 1: I love what Beyonce said here um afterwards, after she
- 34:04Speaker 1: gave birth to the twins, she said her core, her
- 34:06Speaker 1: her midsection felt a bit different, and she took the
- 34:09Speaker 1: time that she needed to heal. Yeah, she said. During
- 34:13Speaker 1: her recovery, she gave herself self love and some self care,
- 34:17Speaker 1: and she embraced being curveyer. Okay, she just embraced it.
- 34:21Speaker 1: And you know, her body is already curvy, so when
- 34:23Speaker 1: you get thicker, your curbier. She said, she accepted what
- 34:26Speaker 1: her body wanted to be. She just accepted it. I
- 34:29Speaker 1: love that she said the way, but I love what
- 34:40Speaker 1: she says. She says, it's important. It's important for men
- 34:43Speaker 1: and women to see and appreciate the beauty in their
- 34:46Speaker 1: natural bodies. Start there, and then if you want to
- 34:49Speaker 1: fix something, she didn't say this. This is me talking
- 34:51Speaker 1: about if you want to fix something, start from there.
- 34:53Speaker 1: At least love yourself as you are. First, she says,
- 34:56Speaker 1: to this day, her arms, her shoulders, her breast, and
- 34:59Speaker 1: her thought eyes are fuller. He's saying they're fuller now
- 35:04Speaker 1: has had a mommy, poud. We don't care you that again.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Say that again, nephew, because women do need to hear that.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Ain't nothing wrong with that. Let me tell you something.
- 35:14Speaker 1: When you sleeping at night with your baby and reach
- 35:17Speaker 1: around there and grab that power. That's the greatest thing
- 35:20Speaker 1: in the world right there you sleep. You don't grab nothing.
- 35:24Speaker 1: You'd be like, whoa, what's going on? Okay, since we're
- 35:28Speaker 1: going there, what about dimples in your thighs, in your
- 35:31Speaker 1: button stretch mark? What crats? Yes, love old mosquito bite
- 35:40Speaker 1: that's just been there. They ain't left one of them,
- 35:43Speaker 1: one of them, but even throwing rocks at it. Yes,
- 35:47Speaker 1: stretch balks, I'll deal with the stretch balls. Yes I don't.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I take the stretch box and puts my fingers in
- 35:54Speaker 1: the creasing and hold right there one more time, neview,
- 36:02Speaker 1: I think that was profound A map to love. That's
- 36:06Speaker 1: all right, all right, all right, right, says you've been
- 36:11Speaker 1: through something, so whenever she says, whenever she's ready to
- 36:18Speaker 1: get a six pack, she's gonna go into a beast
- 36:21Speaker 1: mode like she does and work her butt off until
- 36:24Speaker 1: she has it. But until then, she's you know, she's
- 36:27Speaker 1: going to she's going to accept her body as it
- 36:29Speaker 1: as it was meant to be her little pupa. You know,
- 36:33Speaker 1: she goes into it's time and Serena go into best mode. Yea,
- 36:38Speaker 1: Serena came out to Speaking of Serena, she came out
- 36:41Speaker 1: talking about her postpartum depression that she had after delivering
- 36:44Speaker 1: her baby. She also had to have an emergency six
- 36:47Speaker 1: section and it didn't have the way they treated her
- 36:50Speaker 1: when she was playing either. Yeah, it's just not Yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 1: added stress, added stress, for sure. I'm still going through
- 36:57Speaker 1: a postpartum after here and a lart. I'm going through
- 36:59Speaker 1: a lot of Okay, all right, you're taking it. It's
- 37:02Speaker 1: too far, too far, always go too far. You're okay,

- 56:08Speaker 1: nephew subject. So is this what we're doing now? Is
- 56:11Speaker 1: this is what we're doing now? Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 56:14Speaker 1: an older female with old school ways of doing things.
- 56:18Speaker 1: After many years of marriage, I'm now divorced and back
- 56:22Speaker 1: on the dating scene. I never would have imagined how
- 56:25Speaker 1: much things have changed when it comes to dating. I
- 56:28Speaker 1: am learning about all of these online dating apps, but
- 56:32Speaker 1: they scare me. So I've been dating the traditional way.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I have met two nice men in my community, but
- 56:38Speaker 1: I have a problem with how they communicate with me.
- 56:40Speaker 1: They both like to send text messages instead of calling
- 56:43Speaker 1: me to get to know me. Uh, please tell me
- 56:46Speaker 1: that texting is not the new way of talking to people.
- 56:50Speaker 1: What happened to picking up the phone and calling me
- 56:53Speaker 1: when I first met When I met the first guy,
- 56:55Speaker 1: I asked him to call me if you wanted to talk.
- 56:58Speaker 1: He chose to send me a string of text messages
- 57:01Speaker 1: and have the nerve to try to win me over
- 57:03Speaker 1: with these texts. I told him he was no lengths
- 57:06Speaker 1: in hughes, and I haven't heard from him since. The
- 57:09Speaker 1: second guy told me that the WiFi at his house
- 57:12Speaker 1: was sketchy so he couldn't make calls, so he could
- 57:15Speaker 1: only text. I don't know much about WiFi, but that
- 57:19Speaker 1: didn't sound right, so I stopped texting him. Now tell
- 57:22Speaker 1: me this, When I'm out on a date, do I
- 57:25Speaker 1: talk to the person I'm with or do I text
- 57:28Speaker 1: him while we're on the date. This whole dating scene
- 57:31Speaker 1: has me so confused, and I want to be hip
- 57:34Speaker 1: and up on the latest trends. I guess I will
- 57:37Speaker 1: have to get used to texting more than I usually would.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Or should I just keep praying for a man that
- 57:42Speaker 1: will call me and talk to me like a normal person.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Please help? Okay? Well, prayer is always a good answer
- 57:49Speaker 1: for anything. Okay, So keep praying. Yes, I will always
- 57:53Speaker 1: encourage you to do that, but I hope it will
- 57:55Speaker 1: make you feel better to know that you're not the
- 57:57Speaker 1: only one who feels this way. I've heard this from
- 57:59Speaker 1: a lot of people, especially women. Steve talked about young
- 58:03Speaker 1: people and texting on the show before texting is just
- 58:05Speaker 1: what most young people do these days. That is how
- 58:08Speaker 1: they communicate. Yes, it's impersonal. You don't know, Uh, you
- 58:12Speaker 1: know where they are emotionally, you can't hear You can't
- 58:16Speaker 1: read emotion in these texas A lot of times. Um,
- 58:19Speaker 1: and yes, it takes too long for a response a
- 58:22Speaker 1: lot of times if they respond at all to your texas,
- 58:25Speaker 1: no immediate response like when you're on the phone or
- 58:28Speaker 1: anything like that. Or you could hear their voice and
- 58:31Speaker 1: you know the inferences and you can you know, gauge
- 58:33Speaker 1: where they are. But my favorite line in your whole
- 58:36Speaker 1: letter is when you asked, when you're out on a date,
- 58:39Speaker 1: do you talk to the person you're with or do
- 58:41Speaker 1: you text him? You talk to them while you're on
- 58:44Speaker 1: a date. Okay, that's what's supposed to happen. Uh. Hopefully
- 58:49Speaker 1: you guys have put your phones away. You know you
- 58:51Speaker 1: should make that a rule when you're on a date.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Put your phones away. Okay, enjoy each other's company. Uh.
- 58:56Speaker 1: If he's texting while on a date, trust me, he's
- 58:59Speaker 1: not a keeper. He is not the one, So don't
- 59:02Speaker 1: waste your time with him. You need a man closer
- 59:04Speaker 1: to your own age, probably a gentleman that likes what
- 59:06Speaker 1: you like, who appreciates who you are and where you
- 59:10Speaker 1: are in life, okay, and uh yeah, you know, things
- 59:14Speaker 1: do change quip uh quite rapidly, especially in the tech world.
- 59:18Speaker 1: So um, you know, get a young person around you
- 59:21Speaker 1: to help you out with texting and and too, you know,
- 59:24Speaker 1: the Graham and social media and all that stuff, so
- 59:27Speaker 1: you will be up on it. But um, yeah, I
- 59:29Speaker 1: suggested you get someone closer to your own age, someone
- 59:32Speaker 1: who likes the romance of talking on the phone and
- 59:35Speaker 1: courting and that sort of thing. Jay, I am so
- 59:39Speaker 1: happy the way society is going now. I mean, back
- 59:44Speaker 1: in the day, we were people who shared everything. We
- 59:47Speaker 1: shared a food, we shared a music. Remember a bit
- 59:50Speaker 1: boom boxes. You had music, playing music loud, you cared
- 59:55Speaker 1: it on your shoulder. You shared your music, you shared
- 59:59Speaker 1: your thoughts. Now we ain't sharing a damn thing. I'm
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: listening to my own music. I'm texting you because I
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: don't really want to talk to you that much. I'm
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: gonna send you a message and if you answer, cool.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: If you don't answer, I'm into me. I don't want
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: to be bothered. I liked this society that we're now in.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: I got my own music. I've sent you a text.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: If you answer, cool. If you don't hell with it,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: that means I ain't gotta had a long drawn out
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: of as conversation better man, better man, better man? Where
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: when my feelings relationship and read the text. I've said
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: it all in. Everything I want to say to you
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: is in the text. Yeah you get that. That's gone.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: That's got do that no more. We'll that's so yesterday,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: that's so, that's so flipfonis about stop stopped thinking with
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: a flip phone man. You gotta flip phone man. And
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: we're living in a smart phone tech. Yeah, stepping up
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: more tonight at the Jay's, but it's not Sandy's California
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: and chuckles this weekend and I'm gonna text y'all just
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: to make sure you see me that. Boy, make sure
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: we text our our orders now for the Tacos to
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Biblical ship. Yeah that when you want it. But they
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: always ran taco know they're good when you get him.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: But boy doesn't take a minute. Alright, alright, junior, with
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: you guys, I'm just gonna tell you like this, this, this,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: this here, she's looking for the wrong guy. The whole
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: thing is like, are you all about talking? What is
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: something I'll tell you right now. Who will talk to
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you right off the bat If you see a man
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: with a Diddam shirt tucked in some Didham Jane, that's
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: the man. You won't because he don't. If you the
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: denim little, if you walk in the man house and
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: the whole house, minight pass halt that the man's that's
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: a talking for you. If you see if you see
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: black Jesus Kennedy keen on the wall, talk to you.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: You need somebody who know all the original mentals of
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the temptation. Yeah, death man gonna she said she's old school.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Yeah's a fan who's always doing fatomn hang on Jr.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: We'll have part two of the guy's responses coming up
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: at twenty three after the hours, subject of today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: So is this what we're doing now? We'll find out
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: all right? Coming up in about twenty minutes, we're gonna
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: talk about Spike Lee's brand new movie. It's called it's
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: coming out. It's called Black Lansman, and uh, we're gonna
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: also talk about racism in America people. All I mean,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: we need to have that conversation for sure. Uh yeah,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: we'll get a little serious, yea, and and break it
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: down and talk about a little bit. Right now, it
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: is time for a recap of today's strawberry letter. Was
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: still in the middle of that. Um. The subject is,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: so this is what we're doing now? Uh, an older
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: um female wrote this letter. Um. She says she has
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: old school ways of doing things. She was married for
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: many many years, she got a divorce, and now she's
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: back on the dating scene, and she's talking about how
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: much things have changed since she was married and since
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: she was dating, uh you know, when she was younger
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: and dating before. She says, she's met two nice guys,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: but they're so into texting. She's a woman that likes
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: a man to pick up the phone and call her
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: and they have a conversation. Uh. That way, she's not
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: too much into these text messages and all of that. Uh.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: This man was trying to woo her, she said, or
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: wow her with a string of text messages, and she
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: simply told him he was no Lengthston Hughes and that
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: was the end of that. She hadn't heard from him,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: say d um. The second guy said the WiFi in
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: his house was sketchy, so he couldn't make calls. He
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: could only text. That sounds suspicious. Um, but she didn't
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: know much about WiFi and it didn't sound right, so
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: she stopped texting him. She wants to know if she
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: goes out on a date, Um, while they're on the date,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: should they actually talk or should they text? She just
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: needs to know text etiquette or date etiquette in uh,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: you know, this century, in the twenty one century, I think,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: And she wants to know should she keep praying for
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: a man that's going to call her like a normal person?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: She needs help. We've heard from Jay, We've heard from Junior.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: You heard from me. I think she needs to marry
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: and meet an older man more her speed, you know,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: that can be a gentleman and do what she likes
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to do, pick up the phone and stuff like that,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: and leave these young guys alone. Because she's not. She
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: she's not doing well with that. So nephew, it's on you, Junior.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Will you finished with your answer? Yeah? Yeah, okay, you
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: understood what I say. Science. Yeah, gonna get a man
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: that want to talk, you gotta know that. And like
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I said, you see a Denom shirt took this some
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: Denom James go over to him right away. Yeah, alright, nephew,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: you're up. So is this what we're doing now is
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: the subject of today's Strawberry letter? What you got now?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: This is not what we're doing now. This is what
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: they are doing. Now. You over here with us, You
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: ain't supposed to be doing that. Let me explain this though.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: The guy that told you about the WiFi problem, he man,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: let's get that understood. But I'm in the same thing
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: with Junior. You are out of your league and you
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: ain't looking for the right Peplee's the little boys you
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: got right here. You need a grown man. You need
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: somebody in yo leave. You need somebody that's got a
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: tile over their shirt. That's it. It's the time I
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: just case they get because he's sweat a lot. You're
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: looking for that guy like how Yeah, you're looking for
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: somebody that's got t shirts for sea covers. And they called,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: that's what you're looking they talk. Yeah, you said, you said,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: you you're looking at somebody there's got a bumper sticker
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: that say class or fifth to seven. That's what you're
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: looking for. He talked, Yeah, Yeah, you're looking for somebody
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: that still drink cool out of matson jaws. You're looking
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: for that person. You know you found the right man
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: when you open up his ass tray and it's a
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: bunch of change in it. That's all right, that's the
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: guy you're looking for. You can tell you can tell,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: yo man. When you see nugget rings on everything, that's
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: the guy you're looking would imagine necklace? Yes, yes, yeah,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: mighty fact. Speaking of necklaces, j all his necklaces is
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: outside his shirt, even if he got even if he
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: got a turtle neck on, even if he got a
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: turtle how many at least five? Now here? How you
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: really know your man when he's peeking there longer than
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: all your nails? That give away? Not now, Junior told
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: you dinom on dinner? Didn't he tell you that? But
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: remember this, them dinnim pants got a crease in it.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: He has got it, yes, shot cut a piece of
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: fruit on it. Yees. And when we go to when
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: you go to up boots, what about the zip up?
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: He got all that? You got all that? Now when
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: you go to his house though, when you go to
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: his hot what's happening? He got the cick flamingos in
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: the yard he got him. Yes, he got that. A
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: matter of fact. Now when you look, we're still in
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: the yard. On the side of the house, he got
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: to three lamos just sitting on the side of house.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: They just down called the conversation pieces you yeah. Now
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: right on the on the other side of lamo, he
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: got two old ties for it's called They just lean there.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: That's all they did. They just lean that. Okay, Now
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: that's not not When when you get in his house,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: it is he gotta runner. It's plastic. You a run
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: from the front door to the kitchen. Though up underneath
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: that plastic is the cleanest carpet you have ever seen
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: in your Gonna talk left and the right of that
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: running dirty way is that run up and you'll see
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: what the house Houston look like. Okay, let's come on
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you you rake that. You're raking. Now, let's get in
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: the house. While we're in the house. His television, yeah,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: it weighed three thousand piles. It is a low model.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: The door swing open. He got a high fire stereo
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: on the top of it. It's a door that slide
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: left and right. You can pop a eight tracking there.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: You can pop you some albums. He got plenty of
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: albums and seven. He didn't throw him away. He just
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: shocked he got something. But he talked though he's a tough.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: He gonna smell and all hes gonna smell like two
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: different things. Either he gonna smell like old spice a
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: lagraphail right there, right there, alright, well, at least he's
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: clean man and and and the bro ham in the
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: quala setting outside. That's what y all right, guys, we
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: gotta get out of here. Thank you so much, Email
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: us or Instagram. I's your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey f M. Coming up in about ten minutes.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Spike Lee's movie Black Klansman in theaters Friday, President attacking
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Lebron all that we're gonna talk about racism in America
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: when we come back. Call us eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, the
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: President is on vacation at his golf resort in New Jersey,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: but he is still tweeting and insulting Lebron James. Yeah,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: and it never stops, it never stops. Um, he's insulting
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Lebron James. Of course, don Lemon attacking Congresswoman Maxine Waters
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: at his campaign rallies. Uh, well, that's what he does.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Tommy Lebron James is producing a docuseries called Shut Up
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: and Dribble about athletes in this political climate. Uh. Spike
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Lee's Yeah, I do too. Spike Lee's movie Black Klansman
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: is in theaters on Friday. It is a true story.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: It's about the first African American police officer and detective
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: in the Colorado Springs Police Department who successfully managed to
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan and become the head
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: of the local chapter. Alright, that movie comes out Friday.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I cannot wait to see that yet. It's been getting
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: great reviews. That still Yeah. Uh, and don't fria b
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: et uh air Part two of the documentary Trayvon Martin
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Rest in Power that was produced by Jay z Um.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: It aired last night. That was part two. So you know,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: with all this stuff going on, the racial climate, it's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: it seems to never go away anyway, but the President
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: perpetuates it with these kinds of racist tweets and things
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: that he does. Um at the top. Yeah, so you know, yeah,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: so we're gonna take your phone calls on racism. That's
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. We're gonna let you air out
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: what you feel, how you feel about it racism in
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: American what's going on? Please give us a call? Eight
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine, Steve eight seven seven Steve, what
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: were you gonna say? Nephew? I just you know, it's
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: it's time for school to get started. I'm always a little, uh,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: a little uneasy when school is about to get started
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: because you're you're seen your kids out of school and
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: you're worried about what's going on there. And I'm always
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: a little you know, I have mixed emotions on how
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: the other kids, um uh, you know what happens at
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: home with them is racism going on? Wh when they
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: get to school, then here it all blows up and
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you got an issue at school. So I'm I'm always
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: it's a mixed back for kids because, like you said,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: time and they play with other kids of different races,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: they have a good time, and then they go home
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: and get you know, pumped up sometimes with racism at home.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Not all kids, but some kids. Do you know, I can,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I can, I can come home man, and it will
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: be white kids Asian? Yeah, like all in my pool,
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: you know, just but then you never know what you
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: know what, you never know what they're getting at home. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: I can relate definitely. I mean they can hate you
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: then slimming your pool. I mean, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: You got a pool. So hey, off, let's go to
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: the phone and hear whether people have to say. Let's go,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: we're talking about racing racism in America. Let's go to
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: line one and talk to Stacy. Stacy. Good morning, Stacy.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: All right, so let's go. Yeah, okay, there she is.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Stay Stacy, I thought I heard it. All right, Let's
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: go to line three and talk to Lee. Okay, lead,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: good morning, good morning. What's good, nephew. Oh man, we're
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: trying to hold it down while the big dog go on.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: How you doing? Oh man, it's a wonderful, wonderful day
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: to be tintoe down. Brother. That's right, that's right, that's right.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: What you want to say? Off top? How pleasurable it
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: is for me to speak to you guys. Man, I
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: really appreciate what y'all do. Junior. I'm a fellow, said
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Coseell and Nemi and sufferer, and I'm with your brother,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: keep doing things. Thank you so much for show. I
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: just wanted to say, you know, basically, we're talking about
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: something that cannot be corrected, not in this current political system,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: because racism is ingrained in the very nature of the
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: foundation of this country. When they on this country, we
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: were nothing in their eyes, and so everything that's happening
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: now is as a result of that. And I truly
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: believe that this guy in the office right now is
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: the closest to the first guy that ever heard held
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: that office. I don't use their names, but the very
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: first guy that held that office, I believe he was
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: just like the one that's in there right now. So
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: you're the only thing I expect about this one is
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: that at least from the beginning, he told us exactly
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: who he was and what he was, and he has
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: not wavered from that. He was. Yeah, and it's a
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: shame because this is two thou eighteen. You would think things.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Here we are, yeah, here we are with this right here.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Thank you, Lee. Okay, I think we have Stacy now
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Line seven. Let's go to Stacy. All right, Stacy, good
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: morning the morning. Hey, I just want to comment on racism, um,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: but I think it needs to start with ourselves. I'm
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: from Chicago and over the past weekend it was like
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: a mass shooting or the twelve people get killed, et cetera.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: But I'm just thinking, if we don't respect ourselves, how
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: do we expect other racist nationalities people to respect us.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: It's crazy out here. When we get money or when
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: we become successful something, we move out of neighborhoods, to
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: move out of our neighborhood. And I'm sure we heard
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: that before, but I'm just thinking, it's bigger than the police.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: It's bigger than the governor, bigger than the mayor, bigger
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: than the president. It's us. We need to start respecting
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: each other well we It just makes me so upset
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: that we always put the blame on other people or
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: pour the race card, but we look down on our
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: own people. We talked bad about our own people. We
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: are racist amongst ourselves. If we see somebody walking down
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: the street of black man, we may clutch our purses
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: just as fast as they would. We may say something smart.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: We respect other races, fashion, and we respect ourselves. When
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: a grocery store, we'll look at them what attitude or
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: disrespect our own people. But if there's another race. We'll
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: say hey, good morning, or we'll say you know, we'll
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: speak different. So I think it starts with us. We
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: need to start respecting each other and start blaming other
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: people that are matters matter to us. Alight, alright, stay, yeah,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: very well said. It's your time to get it off
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: your chest about racism in America. That's what we're doing.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: We've opened up the phones. Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, we are talking to the people
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: this morning. We're talking about racism in America. We are, Yes,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: we are eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. In Black Klansman,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: the Spike Lee movie, well, Spike Lee uses the true
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: story of black police officer infiltrating the Ku Klux Klan
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: in Colorado back in the nineteen seven and these too
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: once again grapple with American racial terrorism. The movie stars
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: John David Washington, and with all of the hatred going
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: on in America, Spike Lee updated the movie um by
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: putting an images from the two thousand seventeen Deadly um Unite.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: The right white Nationalist rally in Charlottesville. We all remember
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: that it was about a year ago. We're almost up
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: on the year one year anniversary of that rally. So
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: we're taking your phone calls on racism. Remember Heather Heir
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I think her name was, and nowadays and yeah, that's
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: unbelievable from the seventies. Yeah, that's so crazy. Yeah, So
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: we're taking your phone calls on racism in America. What
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: do you think? Um, so much going on. Let's go
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: to line five and talk to Michelle Merschell Mershall. Yes,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: it's Michelle. How are you guys. We're good, Good morning
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: to right day. Yeah, I'm kind of with safety. Um.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I worked with a lot of white people. I just here,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: and I mean, I work with a lot of white people,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: and I don't find myself getting caught up in a
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: lot of racialism with these white people that I deal
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: with every day. But however, when I'm dealing with my people,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I see prejudiceness and I see racils um conflict with
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: lighter skin against darker skin. Me and my sister was
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: played against each other when we were in sports. They
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: favored her more because she was lighter than me. That
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: because I was a Parker, so we decided not to
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: play on the same team. But kind of she do
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: track and I do basketball to keep that conflict down
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: between us because they tried to bring tension between us.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: But I see our people. We needed to get it together.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: If we get it together in our own community, then
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: others will respect our community. So we can't even get
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: it together in our community, and we expect I just
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: to respect us. It's all about respect as love has
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: no color. If we get to the bottom amount of love,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: it has no color that people just hate for no reason,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: black and more white people, thirty people. Oh, I love it.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: It's the best thing ever trying. So all right, thank
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you Michelle. Yeah, appreciate that's her personal struggle and make
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: sense in terms of how we have That's the point.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I mean, we hate more than other people hate us, right,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: And we've been saying that for years since I can remember,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: that we as a race have to get it together.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: I mean we've been saying that too. But it's more
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: than that, you know, It's more than that with what
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: who we have in office and all that, it's it's everything,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: all of that. Yeah, I mean, he's our leader and
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: he needs to be better than that, absolutely of the
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: United States. Let's let's go to line one and talk
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: to who's that line one? Victoria Victoria Victoria, good morning,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Good morning morning. How are you guys? Well, you're good.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: How are you this morning? I'm great? Thank you. Um.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I have to agree with the last car too. It's
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: about respect and love. We've got to get back to that.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I mean, we got to just respect each other, you know,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: and respect each other's right to do and be people
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: we want to be, you know. And this current president
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: is not helping. He's making it so that it's acceptable
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: to disrespect one another, you know. And it's like, I
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: don't know, it's just really disheartening. And every Sunday I
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: got to turn to this private this country because it's sad.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: It's sad the stuff that we see, the brothers that
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: are getting chilled just as we're getting hurt, you know,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: it's just amazing to me. And if we just all
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: respect and love one another, I think you'll be okay, okay,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: all right, all right, let's go to line three. Talks
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: to Lacy. Thank you, Victoria lay good morning to tell
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: you good morning and morning show Carly, Tommy and none
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: other than Jay Anthony Brown. I grew up listening to
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: you custom Jay Anthony Brown, but you always brought you
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: always brought humor into the house. So that was a
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: great thing because we all need laughter. But I agree,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I agree with Stacy Michelle Victoria. I live here in Columbia,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: South Carolina. J. You know how it is in the
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: dirty sour and things have gotten worse and worse with
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: us with each other. And I work around a lot
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: of white people, and I work with black people. And
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I will tell you it's echoing. I'm hearing it. You
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: will get help quicker from a white person. And I've
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: had two people in my life. They've came and they've
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: given me because I'm a single parent of four, and
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I have about racial fund and I teach them all
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: that we are all the same. You are no better
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: than your other three siblings. But when it comes down
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: to me and my people, I have something that are
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: just great. Then I have some that will just like
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: they say, uh crabs in the part, they just would
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: bring you down right a long with them. They don't
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: have no sympathy. They get up on their high horses
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: and they look down on you. But love is the
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: biggest thing. A that's what we need and we are
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: not living that today. And just with Donald Trump in office,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: it's creating a situation where love is not even an
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: issue or moral. It's about the green color. I don't
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: even see it being about black and white. If you
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: got a good bit of money, you're good. Here you're
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: not good. So we're gonna separate us and we're gonna
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: do it that way. Well, he brings up a good
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: point to about the green You know, it does have
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: a lot to do with money, green money, smart. I know, yeah,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: we're all that stuff. But I think seems like too though,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: you guys, don't you think you know when the president
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: he is constantly it seems like he attacked people of
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: color a lot, constantly, coming down on Congresswoman Maxine Waters
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: with what he said about Done Lemon being the dumbest
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: man on television. I mean that was that it was despicable.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: I mean, well, never say that about a Fox reporter.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: He wouldn't. I mean absolutely not. I said that on yesterday.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: He praises them all the time. All right, listen, we
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's it's
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: coming up. I think we all need a break right here,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: We'll be back. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: All right, we're talking about racism in America. We're just
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: letting you, our audience call in and just vent about
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: how you feel about what's going on in America right now.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: As far as racism. Of course, the President his tweet
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: about Lebron James and Don Lemon earlier this week, and
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: that was horrible. And then Spike Lee has a new
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: movie coming out. It's called Black Klansman. It's been getting
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: a lot of great reviews. It's in theaters this Friday.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: It is about a black police officer in Colorado in
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: the seventies who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan. And you
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: want to see that. The second episode of the six part,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: six part docuseries Rest in Power, the Trayvon Martin Story,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: aired last night. There are a lot of primary elections
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: going on uh in the country today, at least five
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: I know about in Ohio and other other cities. If
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: you can't, yeah, if you're in any of those cities,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: please get out and vote. Okay, don't don't sit back
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: and complain. Let your voice be heard by voting. Exercise
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: one thing. You have control over your vote. You can
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: do something about what's going on by voting. And I
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: hate the fact that every time there's an election we
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: have to beg and beg and beg people to get
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: out and yeah, come on, this is your right, get
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: up your butt and go vote. And we can control
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: that house. Man. If we can control and we can
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: change some things, and it's possible, right, absolutely possible, absolutely possible.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: And let's not be complacent like we were with Hillary.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: All he got, that all she's got. You know, nothing's
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: gonna change. I'm not voting. Yeah, yeah, Today are a
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: lot of Semary elections. But November midterms. If you have
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: not registered to vote and you can't vote by November,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: register get it done so November pops up, you can
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: exercise your right to vote. We need you right now
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: than ever. Absolutely absolutely, This election right here is really
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: more important than the presidential election coming up in Yeah, alright,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: So we want to go to the phone. You guys,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: have anything you want to say here to you. If
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: we don't vote, if we don't vote, it we flipped
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: the house that you know, they can to impeach him
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: in But if you don't do it and it won't change.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: I have eight more, six more years. He didn't kept
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: up enough mess for eight years. Yeah, feel like I
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: don't feel like and it really isn't feel like he
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: was in office longer than Obama and he was there
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: for eight years. It's just like what I said last
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: break about the president. It's just troubling that it seems
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: like he does attack people of color. You know, we
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: talked about Don Lemon, Lebron, James, Maxine Waters. I mean,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: he talked about the NFL players because that speaks to
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: his base, always at the people with color, so he
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: speaks directly to them, and because he's the man he is.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: Well anyway, okay, let's just go to the phones. All right,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: let's just go to the phones. Um, all right, let's
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: go to line three and talk to Jamal Jamal, Yeah,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: good morning, my man. How are you today? I'm okay,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: just a little turb let me here quickly. So what
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: I want, just what I want to say was I
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: was a servant through college, right, and yet my biggest
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: tips came from white people and all that and whatnot.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: But that does not mean that racism is gone. Because
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: white people give you more than black people because they
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: would have a child with you. That was straight ignorant.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: I heard the first few calls. Don't say white people
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: that took me more will go on line and call
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: about my month. They will go online and say inward
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: this many word that. Yeah, yeah, all right, yeah, we
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. All right, we'll have more of
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: the Sea Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we're talking
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: about racism in America. We're talking with you, our audience.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Were giving you a chance to call in and let
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: us know how you feel considering all the things that
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: are going on in the country right now, not so
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: much the world, but the country with our president and
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: all of that. Eight seven seven, twenty ninth, Steve. Eight
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: seven seven Steve. Let's go to line one and talk
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: to Carrie Carry. Good morning, Good morning. How are you guys.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: We're good. What's your comment? Oh, racism in this country
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: is horrible right now. I am a white woman and
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: I am married to a black man. I have been
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: with him for twenty some years since high school, and
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: we have three children together. Um, and I have to
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: say that I was listening to some of the other callers,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: UM talking about, you know, seeing the racism on the
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: other side. I just think that maybe racism comes out
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: more when you're with your own color, because I see
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: it horribly. I've seen it come out since come out
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: of the woodwork down here in Florida. UM. I have
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: been told that white women like me should have more
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: kids so black people don't take over the country. UM.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: I have seen it with my cousin as well, who
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: has biracial children, that her boss felt it necessary to
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: refer to her children. I don't even know if I
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: can say what they referred them to. But um offensive
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: but n I g and then we offensive. You know,
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: two thousand and eight was bad, But once Obama went
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: again in, I have seen racism crawl out of the
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: wood first. Yeah, and it's worse now, do you think, Carrie,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: because of the current administration and the president. Absolutely, it's
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: everything I feared it would be. Care how difficult is
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: it being in a mixed marriage in Florida? Like I said,
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: it wasn't so noticeable before, but in UM, I've just
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: I've just seen crawl out. UM. And then since this
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: current administration, it's like people just feel the need to
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: say whatever they want to say, and it doesn't matter.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: Like the gentleman before me said, you know, they can
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: smile in your face, they can tip you, they can
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: give you money, but behind the scenes and the internet,
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: they're saying, you know, Obama is a monkey or whatever. Um.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: And it has changed me, this entire administration, this past
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: two years. It has changed me. It's changed my relationships
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: with people. UM. Yeah, it's almost like we're kind of
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: in hibernation these days. What do you mean, it's changed
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: your relationship with people caring. I I just can't associate
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: with people anymore. The moral um behind people voting for
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: you know, I was just so shocked with people I
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: knew personally who had voted for the current administration and
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: didn't see the bigger picture of what was to um
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: And like I said, it's exactly what I what I
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: and many others feared. Yeah, well, we have to vote.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: We have to vote. We can vote, We have do
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: have the power of voting. Primary today, registered to vote,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: get ready for mid terms. We gotta keep going. Thank
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: you for sharing your experience with us. Uh wow, last
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: break of the day coming up. This has been an
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: interesting last hour we'll be back thanks to close out
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: the show. Yeah, right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: stew all, Right, don't forget. Tomorrow at seven twenty eastern Central,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: we are going to play Are You Smarter the Nephew Tommy?
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: One loyal listener and Nephew Tommy will each be given
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: sixty seconds to correctly answer our trivia questions, and if
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: you are smarter than the nephew, you will win a
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: one cash gift card, Plus you'll be given the chance
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: to win the grand prize of one million dollars. Let's
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: love it clean. That one million dollars is part of
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's cash, so we definitely want to win some
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: of that, right, but you can't play unless you register.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: Go to Steve Harvey f M dot com so you
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: can play. All right, It's been a good day, guys.
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: Covered a lot of stuff today, huh. Ended up with Yeah,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: I learned some things. I want to know how the
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: people think, and I think we found out today. Yeah,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: when we put pose the question up what do they
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: think about racism in America? But absolutely absolutely, Yeah, there's
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: so much going on, And don't forget to vote if
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: you're in some of those five states that are holding primaries. Yeah,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: enough to vote, enough to vote absolutely absolutely, all right, guys,
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: um uh there it is there, it is you know
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: that that brings the who say something very profound. You know,
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: I think we need to change some things. And uh,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: it's gonna start with us. And I think this year,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: uh we're getting ready to start a new school year. Um,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: and I think that it starts with the parents. And
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: I want I want all of the parents listening right now,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: and myself, Junior and j are going to We're gonna
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: rewind this thing. We're gonna quit taking these children to
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: to to the mall and giving them giving them, uh
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: whatever they want, whatever they whatever they feel like they
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: need to have for school, like giving them gift cars,
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: but they can go buy anything they want. We're gonna
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: do it now the way it used to be done
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: with us. Okay. That means you're just gonna pick up
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: two or three pad jeans, two or three shirts, pass sneakers.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: That's it. Mixed all that up and you got six
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: seven different outfits. That's what we're doing. That's gonna carry
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: you through the year. When did it, Well, I gave
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: you an allowance to go by school clothes? Who started this?
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: How stupid is this? How dumb? I got one pair
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: of jeans and one pair of cards. Cards. They were husky.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: They had to wear husky on the back, so you
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: knew what my weight was. You gotta you gotta, you
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: got not not converse. All Stars. There was a place
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: called There's and Columbiate. They sold ball stars. They looked
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: like all stars. Did you were what if you were
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: running real fast? It looked like you had on all stuffs.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: But they and you take a piece of clorox or
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: alcohol and you rubbed the be off and he said
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: all stars. But it had a huge toe, so you
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: knew right away, like clown the front right away, you
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: know those were not up. They look like it looks
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: like you know what you know. One thing about it too,
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: is kid's head way too many options. Yeah, we had
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: the mall all day. You don't want that, you don't
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: like it. Way too many options. I say we take
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: it back now to we put kids at someone machines.
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: You don't there one shirt you're gonna get because they
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: got way too many options. They can pick out whatever
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: they want and the prices, but for nine, nine and
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: nine down here at this fabished though. We can get
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: six shirts if you just sit here. So this, if
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: you can't make it, you can't win. You don't say
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: the minute, because I know what I'm talking about, all right,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: you're simplistic pattern. Yea. They still make them passing ship
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: and the die. She takes about a yard and a half.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: They're coming back, they're coming back. You keep promising us,
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: and you sit there and you make it. Now, get snapps.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: If you can't make button holes because I couldn't. Okay,
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: all right, you couldn't make pockets. I could make pockets either. Man. Man,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: My husband said his mom made his back to school backpack.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: She ain't taking it. Oh you're gonna wear this. You
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: remember if you made stuff, if you made your own stuff,
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: they called it Mammy made made a kitchen made they
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: kitchen maide. So I didn't make I made a little
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: money on the side making clothes. But I had a
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: big order one time to make it. Got six pairs
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: of pants polyester, and I left the iron on top
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: of the pants and the burn way and burn all
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: the all of them. What an idiot? All that word
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: that all that money gone. I will be honest, Okay,
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: come on. My mom and grandmama used to so, so
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: they actually had some left over curtain fabry and my
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: grandma's making some fabric for somebody. So the left over
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: curtain fabry. I got a shirt and some shots out
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: of that. It was all right until my friends came over.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: I had that on and they were looking at them
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: curtains at the same time. I was out done right there,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: coordinate cordinate. They came over, open your shirt off and clothing.
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: Oh my god, you're bared. That's funny, Tommy, that's funny.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: Kids are kids. I spent too much back to school
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: shopping last weekend. You're right, Oh my god. Alright, guys,
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. Thank you so much.
