- 1:58Speaker 1: your thing it uh huh, I shall will a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:10Speaker 1: show to date. Let me share something with you. I've
- 2:15Speaker 1: had to learn this one over and over and over
- 2:17Speaker 1: and over, and probably still have to teach it to
- 2:21Speaker 1: myself too. This is a hard one to get, but
- 2:25Speaker 1: it's one of the principles of success. It's called patience. Patience. Now,
- 2:33Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times I've gotten myself
- 2:37Speaker 1: into a jam or a situation because I got impatient,
- 2:42Speaker 1: because I wanted something to happen now, So I made
- 2:46Speaker 1: a move on my own I tried to push something.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I wanted the results of it now, and you know,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I kind of think that's human nature. I think all
- 2:56Speaker 1: of us are guilty of that from time to time.
- 3:00Speaker 1: But I was guilty of it a lot. You know.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I just wanted what I wanted right now, and I
- 3:04Speaker 1: did some things to try to push it forward. Here's
- 3:07Speaker 1: the thing that I had to learn about patients. First
- 3:10Speaker 1: of all, success is not an overnight process. It's a long,
- 3:16Speaker 1: daunting task. And I'm not saying it to sound discouraging
- 3:21Speaker 1: to anyone, but I'm saying it so you can prepare yourself.
- 3:26Speaker 1: If you have any aspirations are becoming successful, get ready
- 3:31Speaker 1: for the dog fight of your life. Get ready for
- 3:36Speaker 1: one of the hardest things you'll ever attempt to do,
- 3:40Speaker 1: and that's become successful. Now that those requirements are becoming successful,
- 3:48Speaker 1: it's what stops most people once they strike out on
- 3:51Speaker 1: the road to success, and they see how difficult it is,
- 3:55Speaker 1: how many pitfalls, setbacks, hardships, how high the mountaineers is
- 4:00Speaker 1: to climb, how deep them valleys get sometimes, man, how
- 4:04Speaker 1: strong the current is in the rivers you have to cross,
- 4:08Speaker 1: how really icy cold it can get out there sometimes,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and man, Lord have mercy, how incredibly hot it is
- 4:16Speaker 1: out there. Sometimes it's it's all of it. Becoming successful
- 4:21Speaker 1: is all of the things you could imagine that can happen.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It's going to probably happen. Now, it's how you handle
- 4:29Speaker 1: it and how you view it determines whether you get
- 4:33Speaker 1: through it. How you handle it and how you view
- 4:36Speaker 1: it determines how you get through it, because it's going
- 4:40Speaker 1: to happen. And so what you've got to learn in
- 4:44Speaker 1: this process of success is patience. That is going to
- 4:49Speaker 1: be some days when you're trying to get it right,
- 4:52Speaker 1: when you're trying to get it together, that it's gonna
- 4:56Speaker 1: be some setbacks, that it's gonna be some difficult days
- 4:59Speaker 1: and difficult times ahead. That it's going to be some moments, man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: when you just feel like you don't have enough to
- 5:06Speaker 1: go on. You can, you will, and you have to.
- 5:12Speaker 1: But you got to be patient. See, so many people
- 5:16Speaker 1: give up right before the turn can even happen for you.
- 5:22Speaker 1: You've you've heard old people say, You've heard the saying
- 5:25Speaker 1: that it's always darkest before the dawn, which would simply means,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you know, I mean, this is about as pitch black
- 5:32Speaker 1: as it gets around three thirty, four thirty in the morning. Five.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It's pitch black because it's it's it's, it's it's I
- 5:41Speaker 1: don't know. It just feels that way, don't it. You know,
- 5:43Speaker 1: it's it's darkest before the dawn. Every accomplishment that I've
- 5:50Speaker 1: had in my life, every jump in statue, every award,
- 5:58Speaker 1: every increment, every dollar climb, every raise, every elevation in
- 6:04Speaker 1: my career, all my life, almost all of them came
- 6:10Speaker 1: on the heels of a setback. Almost all of them
- 6:15Speaker 1: came off of off of a situation that I was
- 6:20Speaker 1: working through, that that that was about to bring me down,
- 6:23Speaker 1: that I didn't see an answer to. Almost all of
- 6:27Speaker 1: my successes, awards, rewards, however you want to look at
- 6:31Speaker 1: it came on the heels of something that could have
- 6:35Speaker 1: been devastating or something perilous for me. I don't know
- 6:40Speaker 1: about you, but that's how it's happened for me. I mean,
- 6:43Speaker 1: right when it looked hopeless, when I didn't see a way,
- 6:49Speaker 1: here came the blessing. I mean, man, I cannot even
- 6:53Speaker 1: tell you something tragic was happening in my life when
- 6:57Speaker 1: the book came out. Something traffic trapped or tragic was
- 7:02Speaker 1: happening in my life. When family Field came along, something
- 7:05Speaker 1: had gone incredibly wrong when I started to syndicate a
- 7:09Speaker 1: radio show in two thousand five. I'm telling you, man
- 7:13Speaker 1: I and I I don't know why it is that way,
- 7:17Speaker 1: but that old saying it's always dark as before the
- 7:20Speaker 1: dawn is so true. When I lost something, and I
- 7:24Speaker 1: lost what I thought was everything I had, here comes
- 7:29Speaker 1: the blessing that caused me to have everything I got.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I can't explain it. I don't know why it is,
- 7:37Speaker 1: but it's simply to me it's a test of my faith.
- 7:41Speaker 1: You know, Pete Pablo got a song out on this
- 7:43Speaker 1: album that he came out with back in two thousands,
- 7:46Speaker 1: something called Diary of a Center. I'm not a big
- 7:49Speaker 1: hip hop fan, so I ain't trying to flex that information.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It's just happens to be my favorite hip hop album
- 7:55Speaker 1: I've ever heard. I don't know the name of the song,
- 7:58Speaker 1: but one of the lyrics says um he says uh uh.
- 8:05Speaker 1: He was talking about being down half a tank of gas,
- 8:11Speaker 1: two cigarettes, scraping up change in an ash tray. But
- 8:17Speaker 1: I realized it was only a test of my faith,
- 8:21Speaker 1: and right when he was about to give up something
- 8:23Speaker 1: jumped off for it. But I see, I've been in
- 8:26Speaker 1: that situation where I've been down to a half a
- 8:28Speaker 1: tank of gas and I was scraping up changing an
- 8:31Speaker 1: ass track. I think a lot of people can relate
- 8:32Speaker 1: to that. But off the heels of almost all of
- 8:36Speaker 1: mine mishaps and demises came a success story because it
- 8:44Speaker 1: is a test of your faith. It is do you
- 8:48Speaker 1: really want what you say you want? Are you really
- 8:52Speaker 1: determined as you think you are? Are you really gonna
- 8:55Speaker 1: trust in me like you say you trust in me?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Are you going to wait like you say you're gonna wait?
- 9:01Speaker 1: Are you gonna lose your patience and go take matters
- 9:04Speaker 1: into your own hands? Because I can't tell you the
- 9:07Speaker 1: mistakes I've made like that, I've taken matters into my
- 9:10Speaker 1: own hands and had some just messed up everything, just
- 9:15Speaker 1: rushing because I wanted now, so I, you know, sign
- 9:19Speaker 1: a deal here that ain't really that good a deal,
- 9:21Speaker 1: but I'm signing it because I need to make this now.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I need to try to push this to happen. And
- 9:27Speaker 1: and then and then when the big deal was around
- 9:29Speaker 1: the corner, I couldn't be cause I was into this
- 9:31Speaker 1: little deal had I just waited, man, had I just
- 9:34Speaker 1: waited and not not lost patience? What God had for
- 9:38Speaker 1: me was just around the corner. And that's what happens
- 9:41Speaker 1: to a lot of us. I had two women on
- 9:43Speaker 1: my show the other day. We were just sitting on
- 9:46Speaker 1: stage just crying, man, because they had been blindsided. Their
- 9:49Speaker 1: husbands came in and just said I'm leaving. I want
- 9:52Speaker 1: a divorce. And they didn't see it coming. And this
- 9:55Speaker 1: one lady was saying, well, who am I if I'm
- 9:58Speaker 1: not his wife? Who a mind? She had a twenty
- 10:00Speaker 1: one year old son. Who am I if I'm not
- 10:03Speaker 1: his wife? Well, you know what. The long story, I
- 10:07Speaker 1: had some experts here to give him some help and
- 10:10Speaker 1: what to do. This guy wrote his wife a five
- 10:12Speaker 1: fifty dollar check and just said here, here it is.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm not giving you nothing else, and he walked out.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I said, oh my goodness, man, this one was devastated.
- 10:21Speaker 1: But that there's an opportunity here. There's an opportunity in
- 10:25Speaker 1: losing what you think is losing your husband and your
- 10:28Speaker 1: primary breadwinner. Is a discuss is a chance to discover,
- 10:32Speaker 1: well who am I? You know, if you've been lost
- 10:35Speaker 1: in this world talking about who am I if I'm
- 10:37Speaker 1: not his wife, Well, here's a gonna be a great
- 10:40Speaker 1: time for you discover who you really are. And then
- 10:43Speaker 1: he could also be a great time for you to
- 10:45Speaker 1: discover a man that really does love you and standing
- 10:47Speaker 1: by you. Be All of my successes have come off
- 10:51Speaker 1: for heels of great demise. Think about it, y'all. Stay patient.
- 10:54Speaker 1: God is always coming. You're listening too. Yeah, all day,
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and jentlemen, boards and girls, and anybody else is
- 11:05Speaker 1: able to listen to this show. Gather yourselves, head to
- 11:11Speaker 1: the basement, bunker down anything. That's what this is. This
- 11:28Speaker 1: is that anna amble alert. We got Junior in the
- 11:35Speaker 1: car with us and we ain't bringing him back. So
- 11:40Speaker 1: Grace Chevy no does on it. The roof is off,
- 11:47Speaker 1: and a sociey on it because they're having a crisis.
- 11:49Speaker 1: It's an ambulance, open door ambulance, ladies, and gim mean,
- 12:01Speaker 1: this is the beginning of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I will be ignorant today because I'm doing this show
- 12:08Speaker 1: off no sleep. Why did you get any sleep? You're
- 12:13Speaker 1: doing That's because I'm at Disney and I'm counseling. Yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 1: Mickey came in and talked to me last night. Yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 1: he said he didn't talk since they drew him up.
- 12:27Speaker 1: He had a lot to say. Think he's down there.
- 12:31Speaker 1: He's having problems with Tigger. No, because he said Tigger
- 12:39Speaker 1: was acting like war And I said, I know, Zaching
- 12:41Speaker 1: what you mean? All right, good morning? How you doing?
- 12:53Speaker 1: He doesn't matter, can't take him out my body? Good
- 13:01Speaker 1: was Frank? Somebody else in, Hey, Hey, how you doing? Morning?
- 13:10Speaker 1: Good morning? The other the other one, call the other one.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Some filters on the show. Thank god, you're say Junior
- 13:23Speaker 1: morning up ed the It sounds like it. You know,
- 13:29Speaker 1: you could be a voice of one of the characters. Yeah,
- 13:36Speaker 1: I'm finished, finished speaking, and the fool got tip I
- 13:47Speaker 1: hate you kill? Oh that's that quick? Oh yeah, yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 1: you got a minute. Come on, baby, you got a
- 14:01Speaker 1: speaking Well I was, I was really good. It's gonna
- 14:04Speaker 1: be a trying dated day. We do the second being
- 14:07Speaker 1: a good day. I'm so yeah, and that you're here,
- 14:17Speaker 1: you know so? Can I tell you all? So if
- 14:19Speaker 1: you sleep, don't wake up to your phone. I think
- 14:25Speaker 1: all right, listen, when we come back, we got to
- 14:28Speaker 1: talk about Alexa. Alexa personal assistants, you know, the ones
- 14:32Speaker 1: in the home she's tripping. We'll be back. You're listening
- 14:35Speaker 1: to all right, here we are at It's time for
- 14:39Speaker 1: something funny. Alexa is tripping. Over the past few days,
- 14:45Speaker 1: users with Alexa, you know, the personal assistance Alexa, A
- 14:48Speaker 1: lot of people have them for their home and everything. Well, uh,
- 14:53Speaker 1: people have been reporting that they've been hearing strange unprompted
- 14:57Speaker 1: laughter from Alexa. Amazon responded to the creepiness and a
- 15:02Speaker 1: statement saying we're aware of this and working to fix it.
- 15:07Speaker 1: As noted in media reports and a trending Twitter moment,
- 15:10Speaker 1: Alexa laughs without being prompted. Oh yes. People on Twitter. Yes.
- 15:19Speaker 1: People on Twitter and read it reported that they thought
- 15:21Speaker 1: it was an actual person laughing near them, which can
- 15:24Speaker 1: be scary, really scary if you're at home by yourself.
- 15:27Speaker 1: That would freak me out. Alexa. Alexa is out of
- 15:34Speaker 1: my house. Is halt my house? People? Just u yeah, yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: you can you just actually outside and the train Alexa
- 15:49Speaker 1: not gonna be over there a machine coming back out
- 15:51Speaker 1: the garbage can now Alexa outside getting ran up under
- 15:55Speaker 1: the truck. So important in my house. I mean she
- 16:02Speaker 1: doesn't make to do list. She does podcast. She says
- 16:06Speaker 1: a lot, a lot of people. A lot of people
- 16:09Speaker 1: love the Elector, they're like addicted to it. Almost I
- 16:12Speaker 1: tried Alexa. Didn't work out at all for me. Why
- 16:17Speaker 1: what happened? Because Alexa don't listen to black voices. Wait
- 16:26Speaker 1: right now, I tried, Alexa, you have to speak just right,
- 16:31Speaker 1: and I didn't even know like you can. Is this breaking?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Don't listen to me? First of all, they bought it
- 16:38Speaker 1: on the show and the lady kept saying, tell Alexa,
- 16:44Speaker 1: turn on the light and put a light by my desk.
- 16:48Speaker 1: And the lady came in and said turn on anything.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Light came right on. So now they asked me to
- 16:53Speaker 1: turn it on, but I'm I don't know, So I said, Alexa,
- 17:00Speaker 1: cut the light on. All that in your voice right
- 17:03Speaker 1: there that you just said, No, it ain't the bigger
- 17:09Speaker 1: cut the light on. It's not an acceptable word. You
- 17:14Speaker 1: have to say, turns the light on. But I'm from
- 17:18Speaker 1: the country, So I said, cut the light on, cut
- 17:23Speaker 1: the light on, cut on the light. Start talking about
- 17:29Speaker 1: a lady that's the representative from ALEXA on the floor.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Excuse me, excuse me, Mr Harvey, Mr Harvey, that she
- 17:39Speaker 1: trying to pat me on home. I'm jerking my arm
- 17:42Speaker 1: because I'm trying to get Alexa to do something. I
- 17:44Speaker 1: want cut it on now. No, damn this because I'm
- 17:52Speaker 1: so cut it on now. It's not a request that
- 17:56Speaker 1: Alexa answer. It's like Sirie. They ain't no need to
- 18:00Speaker 1: be using series what you say that? Because it does
- 18:04Speaker 1: not respond to the black male vernacular and voice tones.
- 18:13Speaker 1: You're just you're just too aggressive. Lecture where to starbuck
- 18:17Speaker 1: at right there? Stuck? It's not an ass on the
- 18:23Speaker 1: signs on it. Yes, Steven starts at the end. Maybe
- 18:33Speaker 1: that's why she You gotta know what you're saying to respond,
- 18:39Speaker 1: I don't exactly what I'm saying, like neither one of them.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I can you repeat? I don't understand this all day?
- 18:49Speaker 1: Mean serious, I don't understand what happy? What is you
- 18:53Speaker 1: on here for? What are you talking about? Okay? One more? Okay,
- 19:00Speaker 1: maybe we can help you, Steve. Okay, Steve. With Alexa,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you have to say Alexa. You have to say her
- 19:06Speaker 1: name name first. If I'm at home, I could say
- 19:09Speaker 1: Alexa play the Steve Harvey Morning Show on I Heart Radio.
- 19:13Speaker 1: It can do that. Alexa can do that. So say
- 19:16Speaker 1: it like that, Steve, say it Alexia the same her
- 19:23Speaker 1: No you can't. You have to call her Alex. Her
- 19:28Speaker 1: name is Alexa, not Alexe. So she's staying in my house.
- 19:37Speaker 1: She ain't ever make the adjustment. But she can't get
- 19:41Speaker 1: a nickname. Everybody else got one in the house. Alexa.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Cut the radio show on in the morning on the
- 19:50Speaker 1: heart station. Know what that means. You're probably gonna cut
- 19:54Speaker 1: it off. That's probably what you're going to cut to.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Did you just say cut to Alexa? Put them on
- 20:00Speaker 1: and show on from our heart. You're not gonna say
- 20:08Speaker 1: your name is because it is your show that will
- 20:11Speaker 1: say your name. Who does she think pay the bills
- 20:17Speaker 1: around this house? You know what I'm saying to y'all, listen,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I don't. I won't specialize service at my house. Alexis
- 20:25Speaker 1: k be at my house and call the house too.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I got a lot of stuff. That's what I said.
- 20:33Speaker 1: That what I said. They have to create an urban
- 20:37Speaker 1: Alexa again again. Amazon says they're working on it and
- 20:45Speaker 1: trying to fix it. Uh, Alex over there in the
- 20:48Speaker 1: corner laughing, that's scary, all right? Coming up next, it's
- 20:55Speaker 1: the Nephew and run that brank back. Right after this,
- 21:00Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, coming
- 21:05Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, guys, MS and
- 21:07Speaker 1: will be here with today's national news. But right now
- 21:09Speaker 1: it is time for the nephews to run that brank back.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Me and my Jesus and you love this Frank right here, Hey,
- 21:20Speaker 1: go listen, Me and my Jesus. Hello, I'm trying to
- 21:25Speaker 1: reach your sister. How you doing. I'm giving you a
- 21:29Speaker 1: call on behalf of Baptist Church. You are a member there,
- 21:34Speaker 1: am I right? Yes? I am? Okay, listen um, I'm
- 21:38Speaker 1: calling you. They they some of the members have gotten
- 21:41Speaker 1: together and had a meeting and wanted me to give
- 21:44Speaker 1: you a call. It seems that a lot of them
- 21:49Speaker 1: are complaining about Sunday services that go on and wanted
- 21:54Speaker 1: for me to give you a call on their behalf
- 21:56Speaker 1: so that we can see if we can address the
- 21:58Speaker 1: problem and talk to you diligently as possible and try
- 22:01Speaker 1: to get the problem rectified. What's going on, Well, it
- 22:06Speaker 1: seems like that a lot of members are complaining. I'm sorry,
- 22:12Speaker 1: and what is your name? Against? My name is man h.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I'm not actually a member of the church. I've just
- 22:18Speaker 1: been the one that they've been asked to give you
- 22:19Speaker 1: a call and try to talk on the members behalfs
- 22:22Speaker 1: so maybe we can get this problem, rectify that you
- 22:25Speaker 1: that they have uh as far as you are concerned, Okay,
- 22:28Speaker 1: go ahead. I'm just trying to see what this is
- 22:30Speaker 1: in regards to go ahead. Well, it seems like the
- 22:33Speaker 1: members of the church are complaining about that you're doing
- 22:37Speaker 1: too much shouting at church on Sunday, and it seems
- 22:41Speaker 1: to be going on every Sunday. You're running up and
- 22:43Speaker 1: down the aisle and you're shouting all over the place,
- 22:45Speaker 1: and it's me. I've been singled out about my shouting.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Wellever Dindly is distracted. Man, You're distracting everyone from getting
- 22:55Speaker 1: the word and listening to the word and being involved
- 22:57Speaker 1: in the service. And that's the purpose of the call
- 23:00Speaker 1: is to see if we can get you to tone
- 23:02Speaker 1: it down something. Okay, So the whole church is complaining
- 23:05Speaker 1: about me shouting the way people run up and down
- 23:07Speaker 1: them off every Sunday and almost playing cart wheels and flips,
- 23:12Speaker 1: and they're singling me I complained about me. Well, ma'am,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I don't know how it is that you can see
- 23:17Speaker 1: everybody else doing cart wheels when you're the ones that
- 23:20Speaker 1: they say is the one that's doing them. Am I
- 23:22Speaker 1: being singled out? Man? All I'm saying is that they're
- 23:25Speaker 1: saying that you're doing too much shouting and too much
- 23:28Speaker 1: running at this church. Now I'm just the message. Okay, Well,
- 23:31Speaker 1: they can't tell me how to shout. They don't. They
- 23:33Speaker 1: can't tell me what's going on in my life? What's
- 23:35Speaker 1: gonna keep me from praising God? And they, I mean,
- 23:38Speaker 1: they could just they could go somewhere else with that,
- 23:40Speaker 1: but they're not gonna tell me that I can't praise
- 23:42Speaker 1: my God. They don't know how good God it's been
- 23:45Speaker 1: to me. And you know what, I understand that I
- 23:47Speaker 1: agree with you wholeheartedly. But it's becoming a distraction. I mean,
- 23:52Speaker 1: they was at the point last night talking about should
- 23:54Speaker 1: we put some seatbelts on the pews so so you
- 23:57Speaker 1: can stay down seat? Highly tell people they can't shout
- 24:01Speaker 1: in church, Embrace God? What do we call the church for? Well,
- 24:04Speaker 1: you do come to we need to be trying to
- 24:06Speaker 1: plase God and get their own shout on and stop
- 24:08Speaker 1: looking at me and what about what I'm doing. We're
- 24:10Speaker 1: gonna need you to quit running up and down these
- 24:13Speaker 1: aisles and doing what I'm sorry. You know, I'm trying
- 24:16Speaker 1: to stay calm. I'm trying my best. Who Jesus es
- 24:21Speaker 1: sure that that's not happy? You can't tell me I
- 24:23Speaker 1: gotta stop shouting. Okay, man, but let me ask you.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Are you running now? Aren't you just standing still? Talking?
- 24:28Speaker 1: But I don't have to run right now? Okay, what
- 24:32Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you to do? You know, like
- 24:33Speaker 1: if I want to run up and down this street
- 24:35Speaker 1: right now, I can run up and down the street
- 24:36Speaker 1: and place God. But they're not gonna tell me to
- 24:38Speaker 1: stop shouting at church? Can we get you to be
- 24:40Speaker 1: a little bit more reserved as what we see? Man?
- 24:42Speaker 1: Let me let me go ahead and go further on
- 24:44Speaker 1: what they do the spirit moves. Okay, well, let me
- 24:49Speaker 1: move and tell you what they've told me. Now. If
- 24:53Speaker 1: we can't get to the point where you can, you know,
- 24:55Speaker 1: tone it down, then we may have to ask you
- 24:57Speaker 1: to leave. Let them asked me, who Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
- 25:04Speaker 1: you Let them ask me? Why don't they want me
- 25:06Speaker 1: to leave the church. I've been at that church for
- 25:09Speaker 1: fifteen years. I'm not leaving the church. I'm gonna run
- 25:12Speaker 1: up and I'm not gonna on the church. I don't
- 25:14Speaker 1: even turn me some flup where am I I feel
- 25:17Speaker 1: like not not not not not listen, I think that
- 25:20Speaker 1: that's all. I'm okay, go ahead, but I'm gonna be there.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I'm going to I am going to be there on Sunday. Man,
- 25:26Speaker 1: and I have been the person that's been appointed to
- 25:29Speaker 1: make sure that you're not running up and down these
- 25:31Speaker 1: outs and shotting like this. You've got to keep yourself
- 25:34Speaker 1: reserved so people can hear the word of God. You
- 25:36Speaker 1: are standing in people's word. That's what you're doing. You're
- 25:39Speaker 1: in the whale. If they come trying to send me down,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna get him a word and ain't gonna be
- 25:43Speaker 1: a God. Put that hands up on me here now listen,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I'm trying to hear that. Now you say, I haven't
- 25:49Speaker 1: been in that church fifteen years. If I want to run, dance, shout, jump,
- 25:53Speaker 1: whatever I want to do, I'm gonna do it. Ain't
- 25:56Speaker 1: nobody gonna stop me. You're gonna have to stop this
- 25:59Speaker 1: this past Sunday, with your last Sunday doing it. And
- 26:01Speaker 1: you're not gonna do with this, son, Like I said,
- 26:04Speaker 1: just why, And I'm telling you could tell the nsues,
- 26:07Speaker 1: the deacon boyd, the deaconess, the minister's wives, or who
- 26:10Speaker 1: all the ass you want to tell. Let him put
- 26:11Speaker 1: their hands on me and see if I don't sling
- 26:13Speaker 1: on them. I'm gonna come write about the spirit and
- 26:15Speaker 1: sling on. I'm telling you that now because he's said
- 26:17Speaker 1: you didn't really push me that I have tried. I tried.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Let me ask you this here where is trying to
- 26:23Speaker 1: show that I'm saved? And never? But you make it
- 26:25Speaker 1: you if you're making me revert back to my own ways,
- 26:28Speaker 1: and you you really me out, that's what you're gonna do. Okay, Well,
- 26:31Speaker 1: let me ask you this, what is the God at
- 26:33Speaker 1: right now? And you where is the one that say
- 26:36Speaker 1: it is? The God? Was in me when I was
- 26:38Speaker 1: trying to be called with you at first to tell
- 26:40Speaker 1: you don't be calling me with this polishness. But now
- 26:42Speaker 1: you've made the other sign of me rose up. Well,
- 26:45Speaker 1: you wouldn't raise it up, and you wouldn't raised it
- 26:47Speaker 1: up in me too. Guess what come sounding you're gonna
- 26:49Speaker 1: sit you in that pew and you ain't gonna say
- 26:52Speaker 1: you know when you came yourself a man in the pew. Okay,
- 26:57Speaker 1: I'll right, I'm we're gonna see how where I'm not
- 27:00Speaker 1: that pep amount of fact. First day Sunday morning, I'm
- 27:02Speaker 1: going the past. Oh yeah, well, Deacon whatever your name is,
- 27:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna telling about it how you need to lose.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I would be talking to Pastor myself and letting him
- 27:14Speaker 1: know about this situation. You don't talk. You don't know
- 27:17Speaker 1: we can call pass right now? We just passing, don't right?
- 27:20Speaker 1: You don't talk to pastor. I talked to Pastor past
- 27:23Speaker 1: this chart sympty. Yes, like I said, I'm telling you,
- 27:27Speaker 1: O Jesus, you feel old Jesus, not not not not
- 27:31Speaker 1: not see just like this here you see how you're
- 27:33Speaker 1: calling on him and you stand yeah, because I'm calling
- 27:36Speaker 1: on him to kid me from just really going to
- 27:37Speaker 1: cuss you out right there because you're ben't really hitting

- 29:51Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, miss Anne, We'll be
- 29:53Speaker 1: here with today's national news, including the winter storm that
- 29:56Speaker 1: is pounding snow in New York City. You're listening Morning show?
- 30:05Speaker 1: All right? Did you guys? Um? I love this? Did
- 30:07Speaker 1: you guys see d Wade surprise the students at Marjorie
- 30:11Speaker 1: Stone and High School. Yes, Dwayne Wade pose for pictures
- 30:15Speaker 1: when he went down there. He also gave a speech
- 30:17Speaker 1: to the students, and he told them that he was
- 30:19Speaker 1: very proud to live in Florida. Praise them for the
- 30:22Speaker 1: strength that they've shown after the incident. Uh. Dwayne also
- 30:27Speaker 1: tweeted about the visit, saying, our conversation about bridging the
- 30:31Speaker 1: gap between the students from Parkland, Florida and Chicago was
- 30:35Speaker 1: really impressive. These young adults get it. They understand the
- 30:39Speaker 1: power of their voices for the ones that often go unheard.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And yeah, that's absolutely true, because these are some of
- 30:47Speaker 1: the most articulate young people that have come along in
- 30:50Speaker 1: a long long time. They really are. That's good. Yeah,
- 30:54Speaker 1: that was good. They were so happy to see him.
- 30:57Speaker 1: M hmmm. Uh's always been I think bright minds. I
- 31:04Speaker 1: think that the cause though the Cause has elevated these
- 31:09Speaker 1: kids to a stronger viewpoint. They're they're more ever determined
- 31:14Speaker 1: than ever before. I think that's what these kids are.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I think this is the generation that's gonna make a
- 31:19Speaker 1: huge difference. I really really do. Yeah, and that's why.
- 31:25Speaker 1: That's why. Well, and they were big fans of his
- 31:28Speaker 1: and the Miami Heat. And one of the students that
- 31:30Speaker 1: was um killed down there was buried in Dwyane Wade's jersey,
- 31:35Speaker 1: so that really touched Dwayne, and he just wanted to
- 31:38Speaker 1: go down there and just you know, talk to him
- 31:41Speaker 1: and and give them some support and let them know,
- 31:43Speaker 1: you know, it was so bad. Yester was really their
- 31:48Speaker 1: first full day back at time. You know, they went
- 31:50Speaker 1: back last week with some limited class schedule, but yesterday
- 31:55Speaker 1: was their full day and some of the kids were
- 31:57Speaker 1: taking pictures and tweet awayne Way just pulled up that
- 32:01Speaker 1: was so excited. Yeah, can I ask Tommy a question
- 32:06Speaker 1: on a lighter note, sure of Tommy, Yes, sir, when
- 32:12Speaker 1: you get buried, what do you want to be buried in? Um?
- 32:18Speaker 1: That's good like everyone else? Why am I thinking about
- 32:24Speaker 1: my death? Though? Why? Why to be a chance that
- 32:27Speaker 1: was your I was just trying to love one until
- 32:30Speaker 1: y'all thought you might have You know, like, no, he
- 32:35Speaker 1: ain't gonna be naked. That that would be the best
- 32:39Speaker 1: joke he ever broke. What what? Maybe the ladies get it? Yeah,
- 32:48Speaker 1: if you naked, it'd be closed clasking somebody. I've seen
- 32:52Speaker 1: you naked a hundred times. You ain't nothing to be
- 32:58Speaker 1: you know. I'm if it ain't all that great. But
- 33:01Speaker 1: I tell you one thing though, you was impressed not
- 33:07Speaker 1: you keep bringing it up that I've seen you on
- 33:11Speaker 1: the time. Every time I get a chance, I go
- 33:13Speaker 1: in there. Let me learn me. So tell me one
- 33:16Speaker 1: thing I do think though, and I just thought of this,
- 33:20Speaker 1: Does this count? Is mentoring? I'm just asking, No, he don't, won't,
- 33:25Speaker 1: he don't. Won't he does not won't mentoring? Surely obviously not.
- 33:32Speaker 1: I just asked who always gonna be at the comic con?
- 33:35Speaker 1: Whatever he had, there's two thousand people I asked him,
- 33:40Speaker 1: who else on the show just kind of killed out.
- 33:42Speaker 1: I ain't talked about nobody but me. All right, well, Steve,
- 33:47Speaker 1: miss Anna is here, and it's here, and why don't
- 33:49Speaker 1: you introduce here? Please? Well I'm not introduced miss Ann. Please.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Miss Anne is here for the third time. I thank you.
- 34:01Speaker 1: That's a baby cast. Okay, Hello, she's here, Shirley, Shirley,
- 34:09Speaker 1: don't rush me, ladies and gentlemen, she's here. I had
- 34:13Speaker 1: to change the tone. I just told the joke, and
- 34:15Speaker 1: now I just got a little minute. Go back, ladies
- 34:18Speaker 1: and gentlemen, to change the tone again from baby casket
- 34:23Speaker 1: to most serious though, ladies and gentlemen. Miss and trip. Okay,
- 34:28Speaker 1: thank you very much. This is the answer. With the news,
- 34:30Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Okay. The Trump administration is suing California
- 34:34Speaker 1: over three laws, which it says keep local officials wom
- 34:37Speaker 1: enforcing federal laws on immigration used. Attorney General Jeff Session
- 34:41Speaker 1: says California is interfering with enforcement, but Governor Jerry Brown
- 34:44Speaker 1: says nothing could be further from the truth. Your refusal
- 34:47Speaker 1: to apprehend and deport those, especially the criminal element, effectively
- 34:53Speaker 1: rejects all imgration law. It's a rejection of law, and
- 34:58Speaker 1: it creates an open borders system. Like so many in
- 35:03Speaker 1: the Trump administration, this Attorney general has no regard for
- 35:06Speaker 1: the truth. What he said earlier today is not true.
- 35:10Speaker 1: It is a lie. Governor Brown says that the state's
- 35:12Speaker 1: law exempts criminals from protection and not protecting criminals while
- 35:16Speaker 1: simply leaving the rest of federal immigration enforcement to the
- 35:18Speaker 1: federal officers who are charged with doing it. A Florida
- 35:21Speaker 1: grand jury has formally and died at nine year old
- 35:23Speaker 1: Nicholas Cruise on seventeen counts of first degree murder. He's
- 35:26Speaker 1: got some other charges as well, but under Florida law,
- 35:28Speaker 1: the first degree murder charges made Cruise eligible for the
- 35:31Speaker 1: death penalty. A date for his arraignment will be announced soon. Meanwhile,
- 35:34Speaker 1: the Florida House and Senate has passed a package of
- 35:37Speaker 1: gun control reforms, so it's now up to whether the
- 35:40Speaker 1: governor signs that into law or not. Staying with the
- 35:43Speaker 1: Sunshine State for a minute, Uh. The Florida middle school
- 35:47Speaker 1: teacher I told you about yesterday who was bounced out
- 35:49Speaker 1: of the classroom this week after the Huffington Post reported
- 35:51Speaker 1: that she was hosting regularly a white racist podcast. She
- 35:55Speaker 1: now claims that the podcast was only quote satire school
- 35:59Speaker 1: officials Day. They will now investigate whether Diana Volatage is
- 36:03Speaker 1: really a racist. They'll investigate that matter. By the way,
- 36:08Speaker 1: the TRU administration is now looking for another topic. Economic
- 36:11Speaker 1: advisor in the Brookings Instwo says the Trum administration has
- 36:13Speaker 1: had more turnovers among senior aids during the first turching
- 36:16Speaker 1: and a half months of it than any of his
- 36:18Speaker 1: four most recent predecessors had over two whole years. Finally,
- 36:21Speaker 1: today's March eight, a certain McDonald's in Lynnwood, California has
- 36:25Speaker 1: decided to flip its Golden arches upside down. I know
- 36:28Speaker 1: what you're thinking, but no, this is not like the
- 36:30Speaker 1: movie Coming to America McDonald's. I'm McDowell's. They got the
- 36:35Speaker 1: Golden Archers minus the Golden arcs. Yeah, it's not that.
- 36:39Speaker 1: It's not that issue. The flipp is because today is
- 36:41Speaker 1: International Women's Day. Franchise e owner of Patricia Williams wants
- 36:45Speaker 1: her stores and to be a w for today, so
- 36:47Speaker 1: everybody says Happy International Women's Day. Everybody back with more
- 36:53Speaker 1: entertainment Today's trending topics. Twenty minutes after the hour on
- 36:56Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 36:59Speaker 1: More Show. All right, today is International Women's Day, Carla, Yes, yes,
- 37:10Speaker 1: thank you for that. In this world would be nothing.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Come over, thank thank you, thank you for that. Love,
- 37:20Speaker 1: appreciate it. Today gives us an opportunity to recognize all
- 37:24Speaker 1: of the economic, political, and social achievements women have accomplished
- 37:28Speaker 1: throughout history in the fifteen countries where it is an
- 37:32Speaker 1: official holiday. Well, Steve, you're gonna like this. Purple is
- 37:36Speaker 1: the official color of International Women Today found it more
- 37:40Speaker 1: than a century ago after some fifteen thousand women marched
- 37:44Speaker 1: in New York City to demand better working conditions and
- 37:47Speaker 1: voting rights. Purple signifies justice and dignity. It was, oh
- 37:53Speaker 1: my god, a hundred years Yeah. Yeah, the purple and
- 37:57Speaker 1: gold is over a hundred years old. I don't see there.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I want to thank God for my mama. Yeah, yeah, man,
- 38:09Speaker 1: greatest woman I ever met. Yeah, I have to go
- 38:14Speaker 1: with you on that when my mom. Yes, lover, lover, lover. Purple.
- 38:19Speaker 1: As you know, Steve signifies justice and dignity. And I
- 38:23Speaker 1: know you have a lot to say. You love women
- 38:26Speaker 1: and you're a champion for women. Steve, You've written books
- 38:30Speaker 1: to help women, Your shows are dedicated to to to
- 38:34Speaker 1: uplift women a lot of times. So I mean, you know, look,
- 38:37Speaker 1: I mean, for me, it's a no brainer. You know,
- 38:42Speaker 1: it's every day, it's not just today. It's just honoring women.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I mean, I was raised that way to honor women.
- 38:49Speaker 1: You know, I wasn't brought up any other way. I
- 38:52Speaker 1: had a mother, two sisters, and your fathers always taught
- 38:57Speaker 1: to honor women. I can't imagine being disrespectful, you know,
- 39:05Speaker 1: I just can't older women to this day, man to
- 39:12Speaker 1: this to this day, somebody bring an elder their mother
- 39:15Speaker 1: to the show. Steve, my mother fair I take pictures
- 39:17Speaker 1: with him? Are not even supposed to it secure to
- 39:19Speaker 1: be tripping and take pictures. Came to that. I always
- 39:22Speaker 1: have always had a real affection for women. You know.
- 39:26Speaker 1: The first woman I ever loved was my mother, you know,
- 39:31Speaker 1: that was the very first one. You know, it's been
- 39:34Speaker 1: a it's it's just been a real thing. You know.
- 39:37Speaker 1: I hate that this world is coming down to has
- 39:41Speaker 1: come down to the way it is now with so
- 39:44Speaker 1: many levels of disrespect. But you know, I think, I think, uh,
- 39:51Speaker 1: I think men will get better at it now because
- 39:55Speaker 1: men are more conscious of it now. And I think,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I think this thing can turn around a little bit.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Even China has gotten in on the meat too thing
- 40:03Speaker 1: for women's rights. For in China, you know everybody you know,
- 40:08Speaker 1: while yeah, it's all over the world. Carla as as
- 40:12Speaker 1: my colleague, my female colleague on the show, I'd like
- 40:16Speaker 1: to honor you on this day. I'm honoring you too
- 40:21Speaker 1: because we're sisters, were empowering each each other. I think
- 40:24Speaker 1: that women, you know, sometimes we pull each other down,
- 40:28Speaker 1: and you know, we have to support each other, love
- 40:30Speaker 1: each other, be strong and raise strong women. Both of
- 40:33Speaker 1: us are mothers, we're raising daughters. We're gonna yeah when
- 40:37Speaker 1: we come back. Eight seven seven twenty nine Steve from Women.

- 41:05Speaker 1: phone calls, ladies, UM tell us how we can you know,
- 41:08Speaker 1: press forward? How we can uh what stride you want
- 41:11Speaker 1: to see women make moving forward? And all of that. Okay,

- 42:19Speaker 1: need to stop making excuses for themselves. I'm twenty seven
- 42:22Speaker 1: years old. I work a full time job at a
- 42:24Speaker 1: freight foreward company. I'm a full time mother to two kids,
- 42:28Speaker 1: and I also attend school full time. So if I
- 42:31Speaker 1: can do it, everybody can do it, all right, with
- 42:34Speaker 1: your strong, strong So I like Steve with all those jobs. Yeah,
- 42:42Speaker 1: go get it girl, whatever you open my own business.

- 42:59Speaker 1: I want to basically focused on low income individuals, just
- 43:04Speaker 1: try to help them get into houses, because I know
- 43:08Speaker 1: for me as a first time home buyer, it was
- 43:10Speaker 1: very hard and credit, um was a lot in you know,
- 43:13Speaker 1: played a lot into buying the house, and a lot
- 43:16Speaker 1: of people aren't aware of credit and savings and everything.
- 43:19Speaker 1: And I just want to provide resources to everyone and
- 43:21Speaker 1: just try to help everyone become successful. Okay, all right, women,
- 43:27Speaker 1: women empowering women. Yeah, very good question. Yeah, I love that.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Thank you. We didn't even know. We didn't know, ya,
- 43:41Speaker 1: we didn't hear enoughing little hircut there, but yeah, we're good.
- 43:46Speaker 1: What kind of work she says you wanted to do?
- 43:48Speaker 1: She said you wanted to open up a real estate company. Yeah,
- 43:52Speaker 1: help folks get home ownership. That uh huh. Yeah. So again,
- 44:01Speaker 1: today is International Women's Day. We have time to take
- 44:04Speaker 1: one more phone call. Uh what is that name? She's
- 44:07Speaker 1: from Virginia. I get that. Teresa. Okay, line one, let's
- 44:12Speaker 1: go to Teresa out of Virginia. I could read. Well,
- 44:15Speaker 1: it's only half on the screen. That's why only Reesa's
- 44:19Speaker 1: on the screen. Harry, Harry, Steve, Teresa. Yeah, that's good
- 44:25Speaker 1: morning everyone. Morning. Um, what's your comment, dog My com Man,
- 44:31Speaker 1: is that I would like to see women, especially African
- 44:34Speaker 1: American women are all women empower theirselves and help each
- 44:39Speaker 1: other to move up. You know the latter. If you
- 44:42Speaker 1: in a place of responsible or a good job or
- 44:47Speaker 1: a professional job, and your sister comes in there, hold
- 44:53Speaker 1: hold on, hold that thought right there, hold that thought.
- 44:55Speaker 1: We come it right back. We gotta go break. You're
- 44:57Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, we were
- 45:02Speaker 1: underline Steve with Teresa on this International Women's Day. Um, Teresa, sorry,
- 45:09Speaker 1: I had to cut you off. Dollar. Could you repeat
- 45:11Speaker 1: what you're saying? Please? Sure? What I was saying, Stephen,
- 45:15Speaker 1: thank you for your consideration is that women should empower
- 45:21Speaker 1: each other. When you move up a corporate ladder or
- 45:26Speaker 1: just a local ladder of authority or professionalism, and a
- 45:30Speaker 1: sister comes in there and you are able to help them,
- 45:34Speaker 1: don't be snobbers. Don't be like I arrived or you
- 45:37Speaker 1: know who were you or you're you'll be low. Let's
- 45:40Speaker 1: empower and help each other to strass each one, each one.
- 45:46Speaker 1: You know. I'm sorry to keep you keep keep talking back.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I just feel that we we can run this thing.
- 45:52Speaker 1: We are smart, we are intelligent, We are strong women,
- 45:57Speaker 1: especially black women. We know how they do it, where
- 46:00Speaker 1: to do it, and where to do it. So let's
- 46:03Speaker 1: do it and empower each other to not bring each
- 46:06Speaker 1: other down, each other up. That's all I did to say,
- 46:09Speaker 1: that's right, and you it's important. You know that's that's
- 46:19Speaker 1: what happens man to a lot of us, not just
- 46:25Speaker 1: to women, but for women. I can understand exactly where
- 46:28Speaker 1: she's coming from because we get to where we're going,
- 46:32Speaker 1: and I don't know if we think that if we're
- 46:34Speaker 1: the only one there that to keep us special off,
- 46:37Speaker 1: we don't want to show nobody else how to do it.
- 46:39Speaker 1: My mom always said, God don't bless you to get
- 46:42Speaker 1: a house up on the hill, and you don't show
- 46:44Speaker 1: nobody else how to get up on the heel. Both right,
- 46:47Speaker 1: and so what she's saying is it's just to get
- 46:51Speaker 1: people to help one another, to show him how it's done,
- 46:54Speaker 1: reach back to teach one You know, she's right, She's right.
- 46:58Speaker 1: All right, nephew, it is your turn before we do that.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 47:03Speaker 1: four minutes after it's today's Strawberry Letter subject it's so
- 47:07Speaker 1: good I can't even think straight. Uh, But nephew, it's
- 47:11Speaker 1: your turn with today's you know, since it's Lady Day,
- 47:16Speaker 1: this is make a wish ministry makes Baptist. This is
- 47:21Speaker 1: Terrence Man. Help you please, brother Terence. Yeah, how you doing?
- 47:25Speaker 1: I got your uh your number? You you with the
- 47:28Speaker 1: over the church. You went to make a wish ministry? Yes,
- 47:31Speaker 1: I am, I'm help you. Well, looksen, I'm I'm actually uh,
- 47:37Speaker 1: I'm terminally ill, brother, brother Terrence, And I don't you
- 47:42Speaker 1: know as far as what the doctors tell me, it
- 47:45Speaker 1: could be six months, another year, But I know my
- 47:50Speaker 1: time here is definitely limited, you know when I'm sorry
- 47:54Speaker 1: to hear that, but we're definitely here to help you
- 47:57Speaker 1: out with whatever you need or whatever can help you with.
- 48:00Speaker 1: So what can we do for you? Well? You know,
- 48:03Speaker 1: I truly believe that sometimes people have and you know,
- 48:07Speaker 1: I've seen one of the more movies they got with
- 48:09Speaker 1: it Gotta bucket list or whatever they called it. You know,
- 48:11Speaker 1: people trying to do things before they leave here. I
- 48:15Speaker 1: guess I was just sitting around trying to figure out
- 48:17Speaker 1: what I could do and what I wanted to do
- 48:19Speaker 1: before I left this world and went on to what
- 48:22Speaker 1: he has for me next. You know, I don't believe
- 48:26Speaker 1: in doing anything unless it's preyed on first. Oh yeah,
- 48:30Speaker 1: if you don't mind, maybe you can uh, you know,
- 48:34Speaker 1: before I can tell you my wish, we we prayed
- 48:36Speaker 1: that the wish would come true. You you you you're
- 48:38Speaker 1: not doing anything like that. Oh no, I don't mind praying.
- 48:41Speaker 1: That's what we're here. Five Now your head with yes, yes, yes, sir?
- 48:46Speaker 1: Is your head back? Yes, sir, yr sir, here, Oh
- 48:49Speaker 1: the God, we come to you in the umeless way.
- 48:52Speaker 1: We know how Lord, we asked you to touch this
- 48:55Speaker 1: young man and every which way you hurt. And then
- 48:59Speaker 1: we asked you to deliver him for whatever is going
- 49:02Speaker 1: on with him and let him know that we, the
- 49:04Speaker 1: church is here to help him with whatever his needs
- 49:07Speaker 1: is in his last days. And Jesus Name, I pray
- 49:11Speaker 1: say amen, women's gonna do it here. Now you remember
- 49:18Speaker 1: the church here of Newton. Well I was remember I
- 49:22Speaker 1: still consider myself. Remember it's just been quite some time,
- 49:26Speaker 1: tryally over a year and after two years since I've
- 49:28Speaker 1: been able to come, you know, through to my my illness.
- 49:31Speaker 1: But definitely I will remember that. Well, that's all right.
- 49:35Speaker 1: We're not worried about all that. We're just here to
- 49:38Speaker 1: take care of your last and final wish. That's what
- 49:41Speaker 1: our minister is for. You know, we helps people with
- 49:44Speaker 1: with with anything they need, you know, like that, what
- 49:47Speaker 1: what what all I mean when when people call and
- 49:50Speaker 1: won't say what all of you you all, what all
- 49:52Speaker 1: of y'all helped him with? Well, we've helped them with
- 49:56Speaker 1: they rent um, take them to the store, help them
- 50:01Speaker 1: with a utility bill, come out and cut the grass,
- 50:04Speaker 1: anything like that that they just can't do, take them
- 50:06Speaker 1: to the doctor's appointment. Anything we'd like to help them.
- 50:10Speaker 1: What we do exactly? Then okay, well I I pretty
- 50:14Speaker 1: much got those things taken care of. I think what
- 50:17Speaker 1: I'd like to do between you and and and myself
- 50:21Speaker 1: bother day. And I've never told anyone what I'm about
- 50:24Speaker 1: to tell you. I've never been with a with with
- 50:28Speaker 1: a woman before. I'm you know, I'm thirty eight, but
- 50:33Speaker 1: I've never been with a woman. Well, I guess that
- 50:37Speaker 1: might be a blessing. You might you might be there.
- 50:39Speaker 1: That's a good thing. Well, you know, but sometimes you know,
- 50:43Speaker 1: I give before I leave. I give. That's a desire
- 50:46Speaker 1: that I have. And and and uh, what I wanted
- 50:49Speaker 1: to ask you was there is a lady there at
- 50:52Speaker 1: the church and before I leave. I think that's the
- 50:57Speaker 1: woman that I would actually to be with. Well, I
- 51:02Speaker 1: don't know if Make a Wish Ministry can support that
- 51:05Speaker 1: kind of stuff, but go ahead, let me hear. Okay
- 51:08Speaker 1: that the lady that i'm I'm actually interested in actually uh,
- 51:13Speaker 1: she works at the church too. We'll not see. She's
- 51:17Speaker 1: kind of a tall what she's about five nine and
- 51:20Speaker 1: she's probably about a size eight, beautiful long leagues man
- 51:25Speaker 1: and and and and sandy type of half sandy color,
- 51:29Speaker 1: sandy brown man. And I mean she looked like caraman
- 51:33Speaker 1: hol On a minute. What's her name? I think her
- 51:38Speaker 1: name Linda? Now hold on, that's my wife? What you mean?
- 51:42Speaker 1: Go ahead? See wait wait wait wait wait wait wait
- 51:45Speaker 1: Lindy your wife? Yeah, that's my wife? You s what
- 51:49Speaker 1: do you mean? Listen, y'all are ministry now now if
- 51:53Speaker 1: y'all supposed to be taking care of people on Make
- 51:55Speaker 1: a Wish and and taking care of what they want
- 51:57Speaker 1: before they leave this world, if that's my I wish,
- 52:00Speaker 1: what is the problem listening here? You didn't cross every
- 52:03Speaker 1: line there was about this man, so I don't give
- 52:06Speaker 1: a damn about it. I'm you're talking about sleeping with
- 52:08Speaker 1: my like if I see you're gonna do something to you.
- 52:11Speaker 1: They ain't gonna even be able to recognize you. So
- 52:13Speaker 1: what the you talking about? Missing with my wife? Son
- 52:16Speaker 1: of a? I called missing Linda myself and see, if
- 52:19Speaker 1: you know I have a problem, wouldn't helping me make
- 52:21Speaker 1: my wish come true? Right there? And calling you? Won't
- 52:24Speaker 1: call nobody else? That would be the least call you make.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I thought y'all were here to relieve people so they
- 52:32Speaker 1: can enjoy themselves, devote they leave this world. You talk
- 52:36Speaker 1: about sleeping with my wife? Are you crazy? But but
- 52:39Speaker 1: if I'm gonna leave here, ain't nobody gonna know? But
- 52:42Speaker 1: you want hunt? I don't care if you die. I
- 52:45Speaker 1: don't care. You ain't sleeping with my wife and your
- 52:47Speaker 1: food with her. You probably gonna go ahead and die
- 52:50Speaker 1: quicker than you need to. I thought this was a ministry.
- 52:53Speaker 1: I don't think you now you won't. They're telling me
- 52:55Speaker 1: about din Y're supposed to be a ministry that to
- 52:58Speaker 1: help people before they leave. Don't work what it is?
- 53:01Speaker 1: But you're talking about sleeping with my wife? You got
- 53:03Speaker 1: an illness, but something must be wrong with your wain
- 53:06Speaker 1: talking about missing with man? What ain't nobody even know.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I think with your wife wants, I'm gonna there, ain't
- 53:10Speaker 1: gonna be but the tool of y'all. At least you
- 53:12Speaker 1: would have helped me before I left. No, I can't
- 53:14Speaker 1: help you with nothing. And let me tell you something.
- 53:17Speaker 1: I'm not the preacher, I'm not the past I'm not
- 53:19Speaker 1: the deacon, I'm not none of them. But if you
- 53:22Speaker 1: mentioned my wife, you're gonna know who I am. I'm
- 53:24Speaker 1: gonna be the undertake er. Do you understand? I hear
- 53:26Speaker 1: what you saying. But I got one more thing I
- 53:28Speaker 1: need to tell you about who I who asked you?
- 53:31Speaker 1: Isn't it to go ahead? Let me this is due
- 53:36Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Morning. Your wife, y'all me the praise,
- 53:42Speaker 1: y'all ain't recording this is, it's recorded. Every less bit
- 53:53Speaker 1: of hammers ain't gonna here. This is. Oh god, I
- 54:01Speaker 1: got what is the baddest I mean, radio show in
- 54:08Speaker 1: the late Stve Harvey and Show. You're listening to the
- 54:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, winter Storm Quinn really pounded
- 54:18Speaker 1: the Northeast. Millions of longer power outages, plenty of digging.
- 54:23Speaker 1: At least, at last check, more than a foot of
- 54:26Speaker 1: new snow has fallen in parts of New England, Pennsylvania,
- 54:29Speaker 1: New Jersey, and New York, and thousands of flights were canceled.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Please stay off the roads if you can and be safe.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Wait for the local authorities to tell you the roads
- 54:37Speaker 1: are back open. And of course, now it is time

- 54:44Speaker 1: a situation, if you're in a position and you need
- 54:47Speaker 1: some advice, you need some help, go to Steve Harvey
- 54:49Speaker 1: FM dot com. Okay and submit your Strawberry letter today.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Do it now, Steve, and I could be reading your
- 54:55Speaker 1: letter on the air. That's right, all right, Tommy buggalo
- 55:00Speaker 1: up and held on to We got it, Thank you,
- 55:04Speaker 1: all right. Subject, it is so good, I can't even
- 55:08Speaker 1: think straight. Dear Stephen Shirley. Hopefully not this way, Dear
- 55:14Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I need some don't that right here? Good lord,
- 55:30Speaker 1: it's a little different, alright. I I need some real
- 55:32Speaker 1: advice here. I've been married for a year and my
- 55:35Speaker 1: wife recently started a new job. She was enjoying her job,
- 55:39Speaker 1: and everything seemed to be going in the right direction.
- 55:43Speaker 1: One weekend when we were chilling at home and my
- 55:46Speaker 1: wife discussed confessed that she is falling for a man
- 55:50Speaker 1: at her new job. I never suspected anything, and I
- 55:54Speaker 1: was shocked that she admitted it. I was very hurt,
- 55:57Speaker 1: but she begged me to be patient and help her
- 56:00Speaker 1: work through this. She was truthful about everything and seemed
- 56:04Speaker 1: to be genuinely sorry, so I said I. I told
- 56:07Speaker 1: her we could move past it. She said she was
- 56:10Speaker 1: going to avoid him at work and it would all
- 56:13Speaker 1: be fine. Well. A later, she came to me and
- 56:15Speaker 1: told me that she and the guy couldn't avoid each
- 56:17Speaker 1: other at work, and now they are in love with
- 56:20Speaker 1: each other. She told me that he lives with his girlfriend, though,
- 56:25Speaker 1: so that's keeping them from being together. I found his
- 56:28Speaker 1: girlfriend and met up with her. She already knew everything
- 56:33Speaker 1: and she was not leaving her man now here. I
- 56:36Speaker 1: am all confused because my wife is still doing her
- 56:39Speaker 1: wifely duties at home, like cooking, cleaning, giving me regular
- 56:43Speaker 1: foot massages, and making good love to me. When she
- 56:47Speaker 1: makes love to me, it seems like she still wants
- 56:50Speaker 1: to be with me, But I can't shake the feeling
- 56:53Speaker 1: that she's only here because she can't be with her
- 56:55Speaker 1: coworker boyfriend. I don't want to be a fool and
- 56:58Speaker 1: let her continue to a house with me. Should I
- 57:01Speaker 1: give her an ultimatum? Or should I wait for this
- 57:03Speaker 1: to blow over? Maybe it's just a workplace fling. I
- 57:07Speaker 1: can't even think straight. What do you think? You know what?
- 57:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. I really thought you
- 57:13Speaker 1: were gonna say that after you contacted his girlfriend. Uh,
- 57:18Speaker 1: you know, and you met up with her. You hooked
- 57:20Speaker 1: up with her. I thought that's what you were gonna say, honestly,
- 57:23Speaker 1: But to my surprise, you didn't. So right there, let
- 57:26Speaker 1: me know that you're a good man. You love and
- 57:28Speaker 1: you want your wife. You want your wife to yourself
- 57:30Speaker 1: at home. Uh. You you've shown her that by sticking
- 57:34Speaker 1: by her after she told you that she had feelings
- 57:37Speaker 1: and she was in love with her coworker. You stuck
- 57:39Speaker 1: by her. The problem is she's not honoring herself, you
- 57:44Speaker 1: or this marriage or the marriage vows. She's not sticking
- 57:47Speaker 1: with you. Uh. This is not blowing over like you say.
- 57:50Speaker 1: You say you should wait for this to blow over.
- 57:52Speaker 1: This is getting worse. They're getting deeper involved. She's allowing
- 57:55Speaker 1: this man who already has a woman who you've met,
- 57:58Speaker 1: and she says, she's not even him. She's allowed this
- 58:01Speaker 1: man to come between the two of you, to come
- 58:03Speaker 1: between your marriage. Um, and you're going along with it,
- 58:07Speaker 1: you know, I say definitely yes. Give her an ultimatum.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Tell her it's either you or him or you're out.
- 58:13Speaker 1: She's playing and your marriage is not a game, see Shirley. Yes, yes,
- 58:23Speaker 1: I can't me and me and you on two different
- 58:26Speaker 1: pages with these letters this week. And that's a good thing. Yes,
- 58:31Speaker 1: it's a beautiful thing. I'm and I appreciate the perspective
- 58:35Speaker 1: you took. You took a wholesome You talked about the marriage,
- 58:40Speaker 1: and talked about commitment, you talked about honesty. What is
- 58:46Speaker 1: what are we talking about? Let me let me get
- 58:50Speaker 1: you that this letter. We started a new job one
- 58:54Speaker 1: week hend we're chilling at home and my wife confessed
- 58:58Speaker 1: that she falling for man at her job. She came
- 59:03Speaker 1: in and told list to who right there? See that
- 59:10Speaker 1: the opening of this whole letter. My wife confessed that
- 59:16Speaker 1: she's falling for a man at her new job. Who
- 59:20Speaker 1: she tell it to? You can't be talking about me, No,
- 59:26Speaker 1: he's talking about No way you're talking about me. I
- 59:33Speaker 1: never suspected anything, and I was shocked that she admitted it.
- 59:37Speaker 1: I was very hurt, but she begged me to be
- 59:39Speaker 1: patient and help her work through this. What kept your
- 59:45Speaker 1: work through what? You're falling in love with a man
- 59:50Speaker 1: on the job. You want me to help you work
- 59:52Speaker 1: through it. I don't give a damn about your job him,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: how much it pay, how new and fresh it is,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: but you won't me to help you work through it.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: We're not working through a damn thing. I'm gonna try
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to be patient for I get to the violence of
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: this letter, but let's try to move on. She says
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: she was truthful about everything, genuinely sorry, So I told
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: her we can move past. Steve see well, Steve um, Yeah,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: all right, we're in the middle of this strawberry letter.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I think we may have lost connection with Steven. We'll
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: get him back, of course, like we always do. The
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: subject is it's so good I can't even think straight.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: And uh, Steve is saying there's no way that this
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: woman could have come in the house and told him that,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: And absolutely, I think we're in agreement there. We're just saying, yeah,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I mean we definitely said you drop my thing. Cut off,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: y'all hear me? No, we didn't hear anything. You've been
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: gone for a minute. I've been gone for a minute. Yeah,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: for a little minute, y'all. Miss what I had to say?
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: This unbelievable ass Let him go back. It was very hurt,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: and she begged me to be patient and work, help
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: her work through this. Then she said, be truth about everything.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Seeing Junior, I told her we could move past this.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Who wrote this letter? What man? You know wrote this
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: damn letter? We come back. I'm a destroy this whole letter.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back at twenty three after you're
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: listening to the Steven Show. Hey, listen, coming up in
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: about twenty minutes. You don't want to miss this. Mason Pryor.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: That's Richard Pryor's son. He's going to be on Apollo tonight.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: We'll play some of that for you. But right now,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: come on, Steve with part two of your response to
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letter. You yeah, subject, you forgot? You forgot? What? Subject?
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: Is so good? I can't even think straight. This is uh,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: it's so good. I can't even finish at the end
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: of this man, I'm on the mike. This man, this
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: man has a wife that came to here one weekend,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: they're chilling at the house. She confessed she falling for
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: a man on her new job. Not right off the dribble.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: She told this to who It's why I'm confused, because
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: you're you ain't coming into my house to tell me
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: that you're falling for a man on a new job.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: He said. I was shocked. I never suspected anything, and
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: she admitted I was very hurt. But she begged me
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: to be patient and help her work through this. What confused.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: She was truthful about everything. It seemed to be generally side,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: so I told her we could move past it. She
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: said she was gonna avoid him and work and everything's
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: gonna be fine here in the crazy part. Well, a
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: month later she come to me and she told me
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: she and the guy couldn't avoid each other at work,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: and now they are in love with each other whole house.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Is you telling this in in her house? Now? What? No? No, no, no, no,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: no no no, no shulling no no no. I'm sitting up.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I don't give it that. Not. No, you're not coming
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: in my house with some more information about a man.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: And what you're telling me is bigger than the information
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I got in here. That's not happening. Ship. I'm sorry,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: you can get a move on. Path that is her
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: house to my house. Hell, she told me that. She
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: told me that he lives with his girlfriend though, so
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: that's keeping them from being together. So now this woman
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: then mustered up enough guts to tell us, sorry ass
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: husband and hus and the fact that he got a
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: girlfriend is the only reason. That's the only thing stopping
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: us from being together. Damn you, the marriage, the vials
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: all this week got. What's stopping us from being together
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: is his girlfriend. But how the hell she keeps feeling
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: comfortable enough to tell this to you? My wife not
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: that comfortable. And you want me to tell you why
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: because my wife, No, she can't bring nothing to me.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: That sound that he because I didn't do something. Mmm,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna do something. Now let me tell you what
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I ain't gonna do. What this dude wentn't did? I
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: found his girlfriend? This is the husband found this man
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: that's in little with his w I found his girlfriend
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: and met up with her. She said she already knew
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: everything and she was not leaving him. So now he
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I am confused. Who was this punk? As? Who is
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: this dude? This set up here called this man. Girlfriend,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: you want to meet me and you know your loves man?
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: He talking to my wife? Wait when you're gonna meet him?
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: See all this meeting and talking, but you ain't going
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: to the sauce of the problem partner. How you ain't
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: had this conversation with this dude? You're sleeping with my wife? Man?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: What what? But she's comfortable enough to tell my punk
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: as I wish my wife would get that damn comfortable.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: I'll tell you right now, we're gonna be all over
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: t m Z. I swear to god, we're on TMZ.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Come in here. Tell me about what she's gonna do
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: with somebody else and setting me up with it? Now here,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I am confused, confused? How weak? This is not a
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: getting weaker, it's getting weaker. So now here, I am confused, confused. Hey,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: are you gonna get mad when you're gonna do something?
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: When you're gonna somebody asking this left? Come on, boys,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: it's all listen. Is missing man I met with his girlfriend? White?
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: He hateah? All right, then, I'm confused because she doing
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: her wifely duties like cooking, cleaning, give me regular for massagy,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: and making good love to me when she makes love
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: to me, it seemed like she's you'll want to be
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: with me, But I can't shake the feeling. Why are
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: you reading it like that? I'm through? I'm so damn
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: mad this here, boy, she practicing on you for? What's
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: she gonna do with the man that she not in
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: love with? Is she comfortable enough to share with you?
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: What kind of mad you got? I don't know what
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: kind of man you are. I don't know where you're from.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I don't know who your daddy was. I don't know
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: who you made of. I don't know where your home
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: is at. I don't know where you're blocked. I don't
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: want your gun, I don't I don't know what that is.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: This need to be in this letter? Be quiet? Surely
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: you don't tell me what's sat Calm it down, Thank you,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: This didn't happen to you. She's only here because she
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: can't be with her coworker boyfriend. I don't want to
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: be a fool or let her to continue to play
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: house with me. You don't want to be a fool?
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Where you been one through the whole lot of While
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: you wait until we get to the end and let it.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Thank you don't want to be a fool. Should I
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: give her an ultimatum? Or should I wait for this
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: to blow over? Blow over? Blow over? Did you say
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: blow over? And will you think that's going Pardner? This
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: ain't a storm? Then he he come again with his podcast.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Maybe it's just the workplace fleeing exactly what it is,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: and she doing it in front of your face, and
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: she telling you because she know you ain't gonna do
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: nothing about it. I can't even beat straight. What do
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you think somebody in this letter got to get their ass?
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: And I think you the dude, because he's still got
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: the girlfriend and your woman and ain't nobody attacking him? Granted,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: get out of here? Yea. That's why me and Tommy
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: created Ride down There dot com. Hey listen coming up

- 1:10:19Speaker 1: well as the host, don't nobody kno, but it was

- 1:11:27Speaker 1: mad as Facebook kids. You read the messages. Oh, Donald Trump,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: this is the worst president ever. I'm not the smartest man,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: but four hundred years of slavery and not one of
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: them presidents made the cut. And the worst part is,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: I feel like I understand, really what's the problem with

- 1:13:41Speaker 1: we're gonna bring him back out. Yeah, man, dog, I
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: bought I bought him back. I said, man, just let
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: the kid pay homage to his father. Let's just do that,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: just for what pride and been in this building and

- 1:15:12Speaker 1: you want me to do? You want me to blank
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: this log? Heicks the log up and starts dry humping
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: the log. Then the slips and he almost drops it.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: The whole room got quiet. It was a gas because, bro,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: if you drop this log and it split open, we're
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: gonna have to kill you. I'm not that log, no landmark.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Hey man, he picked that log up and it slipped

- 1:16:42Speaker 1: should make to uh you know, move forward, to press forward.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: What do you think? Yeah? Yeah, we want to empower
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: each other. Uh. Let's go to line too and talk

- 1:16:58Speaker 1: be Carlos, Sherry Shirley, Sorry netthew Tommy Junior, good morning,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: thank you so much. Um. Yeah, So I I just
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I have to shout out Alabama. I'm from Alabama, but
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I'm living in Atlanta, Michigan. Um, And I just wanted
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: to say that I want the sisters to start taking
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: the time to help one another mentally. UM. You know,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: black women have got to start taking the time to
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: notice each other's problems and start inspiring and encouraging each
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: other because we are all in this together. So I
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: just wanted to put that out there. And uh, thank
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: you Steve for all that you do. I listened to
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: you every day and you're such an inspiration to me.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: My husband and I love families few I've been a
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: fan since your Mr High Power days. So just thank
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: you for all that you do. I thank you all
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: for people like you to thank you, sweetheart, and again,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: yes and again, we want to thank you because you're always, um,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: you know, a champion for women. You always want to
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: empower women and uplift women. And you know that's why
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: you wrote the books. You know that's why you do
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: what you do. I got four daughters, mhmm, I got
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: two sisters, I had a mama. I was just always
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: taught that way, man. I was just always I just
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I didn't see it another way. I just thought that
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: women were always special. And I don't mean special in
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: the lesser says. I just thought they were special. I
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: just thought that they were supposed to be treated differently.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: You know, I don't talk around with women the way
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: I talk around my boys. I don't. I don't do
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: the things in front of women that I do in
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: front of my dudes. They're they're different, they're special. I
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: mean the mere fact that you could give birth and
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: put a life in this world. Dog, that's well, hello,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: that's something so major. Absolutely it is, you know. I mean, dog,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: you win right there. I mean, what can we do?
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: You win? It trumps all else I got. You make
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: a lot of money I got, you paid for the
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: house I got you. The only want to work in
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: that house. You can't make it. You can't bring a
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: life in him. It's it's a it's an incredible thing.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: I I don't mean to just get it down to that,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: but sometimes, man, you gotta get it down to that
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: part where, Okay, so Steve, wouldn't make them special, that
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: that they become mothers who in your life was more
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: important than your mother. For the most of us, for
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: the most of us, you know, man, there have been
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: other things the most of us. The mother, man was
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: that's the first world Mama, I know. For me, Mama,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: I was gonna say success, kindness, being generous, all of
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: these qualities that my mother, you know, taught me. Independence.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: It's it's just like you said, Steve. For me, it
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: was right there. My mom and my grandma strong women
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: in my life, you know. And now I'm raising the
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: starter trying to teach her those same qualis exactly. And
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: my mom was a single parent as well. And I
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: just always thought that my mother could do anything. She
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: could do anything. I mean, she was so fearless and
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: strong and fierce to me, you know, as a woman.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: She she was my everything. My mother was really she was.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: All right, um, let's just tell you a little history
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: about International Women's Day. It gives us an opportunity, of course,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: to recognize all of the economic, political, and social achievements
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: women have accomplished throughout history. In the fifteen countries where
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: it is in a usual holiday, purple is the official
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: color of International women today. Uh found it more than
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: a century ago, Steve a century ago, a hundred years ago.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: After some fifteen thousand women marched in New York City
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: to demand better working conditions and voting rights. Purple signifies
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: justice and dignity, and just you know, we just want
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: to shout out all the strong, beautiful women out there. Yes,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: Steve Tommy, take the time to thank you haliber for
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: having an Instagram page. I just want to be a
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: wonderful shout out for just the things that she puts
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: on her Instagram. Which one are you talking about? Tone,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: the yoga power. It's so empowering and left to me
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: to see Hanniberi's Instagram face the hood doing yoga. You
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: don't know how to move us me. Let's go to
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: line too and talk to Christine. Christine is online to Steve.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: I think it's Christina Christine. Hi, this is Christina Peter

- 1:22:30Speaker 1: what's coming? Glad to be here. I my comment and

- 1:22:46Speaker 1: getting involved because you know, the last elections we saw
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: the president come in. I think it's fired a lot
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: of people who actually get involved with their communities and
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I think, um more women should do that. Good boy,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: we agree with you. Christina. Congratulations, this is good. I
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: love it. And again, Happy International Women's Day to all
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: the women out there. Um well, we'll come back. Christina
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: talked about politics, women getting involved. We'll talk about the
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: mayor of Compton when we come back. You're listening to
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Show. All right, So you guys have
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: seen these headlines. You've heard about these headlines. I'm sure
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: Compton mayor, the mayor of Compton right here in Los Angeles. Uh,
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Asia Brown is going to run against Stacy Dash. That's right.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Stacy Dash recently UH filed. Stacy recently filed to run
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: for Congress UH in California's forty four district as a Conservative. Now, however,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: she's about to get some stiff competition from Compton mayor
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Asia Brown. Apparently, Brown wasn't even planning on running against
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Stacy Dash until several members from the California Congressional delegation
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: reached out to her and urged her to oppose Stacy Dash.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: She reportedly will make the announcement tomorrow and for the record,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: district includes Compton. It includes Watts and Pedro and North
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Long Beach. The Democratic mayor is known for her community
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: initiatives and she's very very well liked in Compton. As
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: we told you earlier, she honored she even honored Kendrick
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: Lamar with a key to the city of Compton, and
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: according to sources in her camp, brown Fields that Stacy
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: Dash is only running for notoriety and has no connection
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: with the district. So there you go. You all really
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: think I could run for president? Absolutely? Yeah, in today's climate.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. Yeah yeah yeah, before before Trump one.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: You know, Steve, you saw always talking about your background

- 1:25:11Speaker 1: if you can pass of any poem stars in your pace. No, okay,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: absolutely not. Okay, check, yes, I've done some poor star things.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: You don't have to volunteer information. Get this out right now,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: that's where reporters are for it to dig. Take nowhere. Yeah,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: I'm damn show was you know doing scenes? Okay, Well,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Trump's Trump's platform. What with slogan I should say was
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: make America great again? What what would be your slogan
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: if you were a candidate for the presidency? Steve everything
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: that Trump was? I that what he was ain't everything
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: that Trump was I ain't as president. Okay, alright, okay,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: can we see your texture from two thousand all the
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: way to two thousand? Teams? Oh, let me see me
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: think what I'm sure you new ones gonna be some people, man,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: gonna be some haters. I just want you to know
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: some haters. It's coming. But I gotta show you nothing
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: from two thousand ahead, Carlin, Okay, listen to this. So
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: you know Trump has a high turnover rate, his candidate,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: his cabinet is just every five minutes, who you got mine?
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: Like you're running made? You know I'm gonna have a
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: high turnover too, because I'm gonna go in trying something
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: like what But I'm not gonna have nobody I know
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: in my cab nobody you know you got a position
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: already now without you, the last person I could take
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: to the White We're talked about a presidential cabinet. Now,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: who could fit in a cabin right? Let me tell
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: you I ain't. I ain't got no background playing. We'll
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: be more of this. We'll be back with more of
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: this show right after this. Steve for President. You're listening
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right. Before we
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: went to break, Steve, we were asking you questions because
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: you asked us did we think you could run for president?
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: So I think try to come up with presidential questions. Well,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: we already did. I was gonna say. Carla asked the
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: last question. She said that, yeah, but your cabinet, President
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: Trump has a lot of you know, um moving around
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: in his cabinet, a lot of turnover. And so Carla
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: asked you, would you have a high turnover and you said, yeah,
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: I have a high turno because a lot of people.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to try a lot of things. First
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: of all, nobody I know going with me. I just
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: already made that clear. Tommy quiet you could go into
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: the White House, I ain't going. You ain't going. I
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: know all about it. You gotta take him, Steven the
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: bearer bodies if you want to. You know, people come
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: up missing. That's not presidential, Steve, you're trying to you know,
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: all right, Trumps, you're being real Trumpish right now. So
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: I also asked you about your about your slogan. Uh,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: President Trump's has make America great again? In yours? Well
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: everything Trump was I okay, that's a lot, right, So
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: what is your platform is? I ain't? Is? I ain't?
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: What's your platform gonna be? I mean Trump ran on,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: you know, repeal and replaced Obamacare like um, making it,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: putting America first, guns and money, gun control. It's not
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: even gonna say guns and butter control and money. I'm
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: gonna get more people made, more people paid, more people. Life,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: gonna be in the shade. Okay, we're gonna do it,
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: and we're gonna have more fun, and we're gonna get
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: it done, and we're gonna get some of these damn
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: goun Okay, so fun. What is my tax player? What
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: that consist? Well? I don't. First of all, since I'm president,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: I'm exempt from taxing. But do you think rich people
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: should pay more? No? I don't. Let's let's let's ask
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: something I'm sorry, did that come out? It's the only
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: pardon me and the Democrats gonnahead trouble over. I think
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: rich people should pay more. No, I don't. Next question,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: tell us tell us about your first two marriages? Who?
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: Because you gotta know about your president? Is that what
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: you're basing this on? I need to know about you?
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: Tell us about your first two marriages. I don't think
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: we have time. You didn't ask Donald about here? We
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: know about it? Yeah, yeah, okay mom on Instagram? The
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: attitude about everything you need to know about me on Now,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: that's all I'm telling. All right, listen, coming up our
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: last break of the day. Just one more thing. We
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: may we may get another chance to ask a question.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: We come back. You're listening to Steve all right. Here
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: we are at the last break of the day, right
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: before close remarks that do it to remind you today
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: to join me for the Strawberry Letter Live after show
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: on Facebook at one thirty pm Eastern time. I will
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: be there. I will talk about today's Strawberry Letter, of course,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: and we'll talk about the trending topics and my fresh
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: strawberry pick of the day. Steve, it's on you, Mr President.
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: Shall I say? Yeah, do y'all want to have y'all
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Another presidential question from presidents. Oh hello the red phone
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: you have one? Mr pre President? Would you be building
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: a wall as well? No, you're gonna build anything. Not
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: on the board of Mexico Building where Yeah? Why? Okay? Alright, President,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: you have my else, Yeah, you have my vote. It
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: would define what America stands for. Mm hmm. Bring me
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: your huddle masses. That's what's etched on the base of
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: the Statue of Liberty. But it's will only bring your
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: huddle masses. They come from Eastern Europe. Huddle masses can
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: come from anywhere, and these people on the fiber of
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: our country without them, this whole thing crumbus and Mr
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: President on this International Women's Day today, Uh, if you
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: become president, will you fight for equal pay for women,
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: same job, same job as men, same job as men?
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: What if I say, depending on what they're doing, because
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: some jobs women ought to get more money for something.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: I think women, for beach, should be paid for having children. Yeah,
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: I love it. I think for every child you have,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: y'all to get it at least at least quarter of
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: a meal. What I cloth to make it get your
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: hands off, and I got some clothes remin All right,
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: let's go, Steve President. You know, I was thinking today
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: as always, about what I could say encouraging the people.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: But let me ask you a question. What would you
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: do or what would you attempt to do or what
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: would you become if you knew you couldn't fail at it?
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: What would you do? What would you attempt to do
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: or what would you become if you knew you couldn't
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: fail at it? Man? That simplifies it quite a bit,
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: don't you, because then it eraceist a lot of things
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: that stops people, first of all, of the racist fear
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: or failure. Because I just said, what would you do
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: or become if you knew you couldn't fail at it?
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: What would you do? It opens people's minds up to
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: a wide range of things. Well, I've often looked at
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: it that way. I've attempted almost everything I've ever wanted
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: to try before. You know, if my life ends, I
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: can really say I had a full run at it,
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: that I didn't leave nothing on the table, that I've
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: tried most of the stuff that I've wanted to attempt
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: in my life so far. But what about those people
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: who are frozen because the average person won't attempt something
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: because they think they'll fail, or they get hawked out
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: of it one way or the other. I'm gonna share
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: with you a few fail proof measures that you can
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: apply to yourself immediately that will limit limit the chance
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: of failure. Notice I said limit. Nothing stops failure. Nothing.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: But oftentimes you gotta understand what failure is. Failures could
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: be the one thing that you need to get to
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: your next goal. Failure is the one thing that becomes
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: a very valuable life learned experience. So it's not even
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: when you don't make it, you've gained something from it.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: But here's the first thing you could do to ensure
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: some fail proof measures. Some things you could do. Number
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: one year work ethic. You've got to increase your work ethic.
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: You've got to apply yourself wholeheartedly to something. Secondly, you
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: have to have a relentless pursuit. You have to want
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: it so badly that living without it is unacceptable. Your
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: work ethic and your relentless pursuit has to come into play.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: You cannot be successful in this country without this. Now.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: Now you can try it another way, but I promise you,
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: you'll be on the sidelines like everybody else. You've got
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: to have a work ethic and a relentless pursuit of something.
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: And failing at it and not achieving it, it's absolutely unacceptable.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: Next thing, you need to become a student of whatever
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: it is that you in pursuit of. If it's comedy,
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: you gotta be a pursuit of the comedy game. If
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: it's engineering opening up your business, you got to become
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: a student of that business of engineering. You gotta study it.
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: You gotta know what's going on. You got to know
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: what the parameters are. You gotta know the new and
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: the new things that they're doing in it. Right now,
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: you got to educate yourself to whatever it is you
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: in pursuit of, you have to become a student of it.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: The next thing you can do is you can never quit. Look, man,
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: if you quit, there's no way you'll see the end.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: Too many people give up before the blessing comes. See
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: think about God. When you ask God for something, he
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: boxes is up and he delivers it right away. He
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: immediately boxes up your prayer and ships it to you.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: The deal with God is he never shares with you
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: the date that the package will arrive. It would destroy
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: your faith. You have to have that. We'll finish this
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: up next time. I got more for this, We'll be back.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: Thank you all very much, health brave. For all Steve
