- 2:03Speaker 7: Good morning everybody. You'll listen to the voice. Come on,
- 2:06Speaker 7: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:08Speaker 7: radio show. Ain't God good man? I mean really, Hey,
- 2:13Speaker 7: you know what today I'm gonna try something different, and
- 2:15Speaker 7: it's amazing. I'm gonna try something different because that's kind
- 2:18Speaker 7: of what we're gonna talk.
- 2:19Speaker 2: About this morning. Do something different this year.
- 2:23Speaker 7: Look, if what you've been doing has just gotten you
- 2:25Speaker 7: to this point and you are not content with the
- 2:29Speaker 7: point you are at, then we need to make an adjustment.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I mean, don't that seem like the common sense thing
- 2:33Speaker 2: to do? It does to me.
- 2:35Speaker 7: Let's just do something different this year. Make a commitment.
- 2:39Speaker 7: I'm gonna do something different. I'm gonna put forth a
- 2:42Speaker 7: little bit more effort. I'm gonna quit trying I'm gonna
- 2:45Speaker 7: do it this year. You know, sometimes that simple change
- 2:48Speaker 7: of attitude is enough. Instead of trying, I'm gonna do it.
- 2:52Speaker 7: And it's just as simple as that. Sometimes, just remove
- 2:55Speaker 7: certain words out the way, stop trying to do something.
- 2:58Speaker 7: You know, I decided this year, you know it, gonna
- 3:00Speaker 7: try to be a better person this year. I'm just
- 3:02Speaker 7: gonna go about the business of being a better person
- 3:05Speaker 7: this year and see how that worked. You know, because
- 3:08Speaker 7: like I've said a thousand times, so if you keep
- 3:10Speaker 7: doing what you've been doing, you gonna keep getting what
- 3:12Speaker 7: you been getting.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It.
- 3:14Speaker 7: Don't change it, don't change unless you change it. But
- 3:18Speaker 7: you have the power to change it. The power of
- 3:21Speaker 7: decision is in your hands. Decide to do the do
- 3:24Speaker 7: something different, take a commitment and say, you know what,
- 3:27Speaker 7: this year, I'm gonna do the right thing.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Now, let me warn you.
- 3:31Speaker 7: When you decide to do the right thing, understand here,
- 3:36Speaker 7: come to haters. What they not gonna let you do
- 3:38Speaker 7: is make a conscious decision to be a better person
- 3:41Speaker 7: without something to be said. Come on, now, you think
- 3:44Speaker 7: the devil just gonna let you all of a sudden,
- 3:46Speaker 7: you gonna you're gonna be better When he needed to
- 3:49Speaker 7: keep you on the wrong side of the track, you're
- 3:51Speaker 7: gonna go on the other side, so he come to haters. Now,
- 3:53Speaker 7: now let me tell you what's gonna happen, because I'm
- 3:55Speaker 7: speaking from experience. This is what I know, and all
- 3:59Speaker 7: of you out there and know this to be true
- 4:01Speaker 7: because all I'm doing right now, we just having to
- 4:03Speaker 7: remind the conversation. When you decide to do the right thing,
- 4:07Speaker 7: it's going to be unpopular with some people. Some people
- 4:11Speaker 7: ain't gonna like your decision because now your decision to
- 4:14Speaker 7: start getting to work on time, or your decision to
- 4:18Speaker 7: finally go home and be the man you're supposed to be,
- 4:20Speaker 7: or your decision to finally go on to take care
- 4:23Speaker 7: of your kids in spite of it all, or your
- 4:25Speaker 7: decision to man, I'm gonna come in here, man and
- 4:27Speaker 7: start loving my girl the way she deserved to be loved,
- 4:30Speaker 7: and all this here, Okay, Now that's gonna put somebody
- 4:33Speaker 7: on the out looking in. You do understand that when
- 4:37Speaker 7: you decide to come to work on time every day,
- 4:39Speaker 7: your homie over there that's been coming in late with you,
- 4:42Speaker 7: now all of a sudden you got you got. You
- 4:45Speaker 7: don't put a spotlight on him now all of a sudden, Man,
- 4:47Speaker 7: you ain't coming in late with me no more.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Man.
- 4:49Speaker 7: Now they looking at me like I'm crazy by myself. Yeah, yeah, man,
- 4:53Speaker 7: Because when you decide to do the right things, it
- 4:55Speaker 7: becomes unpopular to some people. When you decide to do
- 4:58Speaker 7: the right thing. From experien they gonna talk about you.
- 5:02Speaker 7: Look at him now, and now he gonna go home.
- 5:04Speaker 7: Now he know he been out here in the streets, right,
- 5:07Speaker 7: he gonna try to go home and see his wife. Yeah, man, yeah, yeah,
- 5:10Speaker 7: you just made that decision. But they gonna talk about you.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Now. Guess what.
- 5:13Speaker 7: The girl that you've been going over to see, she
- 5:16Speaker 7: gonna talk about you. You ain't this, You ain't nothing.
- 5:18Speaker 7: Because now you're going home. Your boy's gonna talk about you.
- 5:20Speaker 7: Because you're going home, and you're gonna get some flat
- 5:23Speaker 7: When you do the right thing, here comes somebody ain't
- 5:27Speaker 7: gonna like it. Somebody wants you to stay wrong, misery
- 5:31Speaker 7: love company. When you make the decision to do the
- 5:34Speaker 7: right thing, somebody is gonna call you a hypocrite because
- 5:39Speaker 7: you know what they gonna do. They gonna point out
- 5:41Speaker 7: the way you were in the past versus the way
- 5:44Speaker 7: you decided to be brand new. How you all of
- 5:46Speaker 7: a sudden claiming this one I saw you doing that.
- 5:50Speaker 7: Please understand, when you make the decision to do the
- 5:53Speaker 7: right thing, here they come you a hypocrite. You think
- 5:56Speaker 7: they don't call me that? They called me that. Steve Harvey,
- 5:59Speaker 7: he fake, I hear man. Look on Twitter, you try
- 6:03Speaker 7: to tweet people positive stuff. Here come a tweet you
- 6:06Speaker 7: fake your family and all that. I ain't say my
- 6:09Speaker 7: family was, man, I'm just trying to give out some
- 6:11Speaker 7: positive encouragement, you know. But here it come, you a hypocrite.
- 6:16Speaker 7: I remember when you was out on the tour with
- 6:18Speaker 7: the Kings of Comedy. Yeah, me too, I remember that too,
- 6:21Speaker 7: But I ain't out on tour with them no more.
- 6:24Speaker 2: We done all changed. Hello, So now what you want
- 6:27Speaker 2: me to do?
- 6:28Speaker 7: You wanna keep living up to what you saw me
- 6:30Speaker 7: as what I was? And I can't get no credit
- 6:32Speaker 7: with you for what I'm trying to be.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Now that's that.
- 6:35Speaker 7: Now you're gonna be a hypocrite, you fake? Nah, man,
- 6:38Speaker 7: you ain't fake. You just have made the decision to
- 6:40Speaker 7: be a better person, that's all. And now because you
- 6:43Speaker 7: ain't the person you was, the person they knew. Now
- 6:45Speaker 7: they see the new you. Now you're a hypocrite. You
- 6:47Speaker 7: ain't a hypocrite.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You just change it.
- 6:48Speaker 7: Don't let them hate to shake you. Man, go own
- 6:51Speaker 7: about your business. When they talking about you. Look at
- 6:53Speaker 7: him now, gonna try to go home. He been with
- 6:56Speaker 7: me all this time. Hey man, just go home. Oh
- 6:58Speaker 7: he gonna try to go home now, Man, he know
- 7:01Speaker 7: Friday nights. Man, we done told our girls this where
- 7:03Speaker 7: we at. Now he's showing up at the house because
- 7:05Speaker 7: he don't want to come on player, Hey man, just
- 7:07Speaker 7: go home. It's gonna be unpopular. You're gonna get talked about.
- 7:11Speaker 7: They gonna say you're a hypocrite. But do the right thing.
- 7:15Speaker 7: God will bless you for that. That's something in Proverbs
- 7:17Speaker 7: that says, if you honor God, if you do the
- 7:19Speaker 7: right thing, if you seek him out, God will cause
- 7:22Speaker 7: his blessings to chase you down.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Do you understand me what that means? Can you imagine
- 7:27Speaker 2: what would happen in your life if God were to
- 7:31Speaker 2: take some blessings and chase you down with him. Do
- 7:35Speaker 2: you know that there's no hiding from him in your deepest,
- 7:40Speaker 2: darkest secret. He know about the stuff that you done
- 7:42Speaker 2: kept out the light from everybody else. He know about
- 7:45Speaker 2: all of that.
- 7:46Speaker 7: So now if he has got some blessings that he
- 7:50Speaker 7: gonna chase you down with, you can't even escape him.
- 7:53Speaker 2: You look up and here come another one. That go
- 7:55Speaker 2: another one, Here he go again. Man.
- 7:58Speaker 7: That's why I'm trying to get my life to because
- 8:00Speaker 7: at the end, man, what I do not want, Man,
- 8:04Speaker 7: And not even at the end, I just don't want
- 8:06Speaker 7: now God to have all these boxes up in heaven,
- 8:10Speaker 7: these blessings with my name on them, and I don't
- 8:13Speaker 7: get them sent to me because I'm down here clowning
- 8:16Speaker 7: so hard. He can't even ship blessings to me because
- 8:20Speaker 7: I'm just so dead wrong that I'm blocking the blessings man,
- 8:24Speaker 7: that God got for me. I would rather do the
- 8:28Speaker 7: best I can do and be the best I can be,
- 8:31Speaker 7: make some mistakes, ask for forgiveness, and get on up
- 8:35Speaker 7: and see what God got for me. And remember, Donny
- 8:37Speaker 7: McClurkin got a song out.
- 8:38Speaker 8: Man.
- 8:38Speaker 7: We ain't got time to play it now because I
- 8:40Speaker 7: done talked too long. But you know that's where I
- 8:42Speaker 7: am right now. The song is one of my favorite.
- 8:46Speaker 7: When Donnie wrote We Fall Down, do you know I
- 8:50Speaker 7: knew him when he wrote the song. I thought he
- 8:53Speaker 7: had wrote the song for me. I really did, because
- 8:57Speaker 7: it came out after a conversation we was having, and
- 9:00Speaker 7: I thought he had wrote the song for me because
- 9:03Speaker 7: it's so appropriate to my life. And I bet you
- 9:06Speaker 7: it's appropriate to your life, because see, guess what, we
- 9:10Speaker 7: fall down, but we get up. He has a line
- 9:13Speaker 7: in the song that says a saint is just a
- 9:16Speaker 7: sinner who fell down, but he didn't stay there. That's
- 9:21Speaker 7: the deal, y'all. Look, you gonna make some mistakes. Just
- 9:25Speaker 7: don't stay there. Just get up, man, and walk straight again.
- 9:29Speaker 7: Then while you're walking straight and write and trying to
- 9:31Speaker 7: be righteous, you're gonna fall.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Get up.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Don't stay there and get back on the straight and
- 9:37Speaker 7: the righteous. You're gonna fall a bunch of times. Just
- 9:40Speaker 7: don't stay there. Just get up, man. That's the only
- 9:43Speaker 7: difference between a saint and a sinner. Now they the
- 9:45Speaker 7: same people, man. Actually, that's what the revealing news is.
- 9:50Speaker 7: Saints is really sinners. They're the same people. They just
- 9:54Speaker 7: keep getting up.
- 9:55Speaker 2: That's all. Man.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening easy to Steve Harvey. Morning shall.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, it is here another great day God
- 10:06Speaker 7: has given us ain't you glad about it?
- 10:08Speaker 2: I know I am.
- 10:09Speaker 7: I don't care what's in front of you. I don't
- 10:11Speaker 7: care what situation you are facing. You ain't got no
- 10:14Speaker 7: problem bigger than that God we serve. That's a fact, man,
- 10:19Speaker 7: I got no problem bigger than my God.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And neither do you.
- 10:23Speaker 7: Welcome to this thing called life, to this thing called
- 10:27Speaker 7: blessings and grace. We are all privy to this. All
- 10:30Speaker 7: you got to do is believe. Let's get it on.
- 10:32Speaker 7: Steve Harvey, Martin Show, Shelton Strawberry calling for real Mouth
- 10:36Speaker 7: of the South, Junior Ah, the legend of nephew Tommy,
- 10:42Speaker 7: and yours truly, Julie, what's on your mind today?
- 10:46Speaker 2: I was able to ask you this man. You know
- 10:48Speaker 2: you've been through these things.
- 10:49Speaker 9: Man, but when you going through a storm, man, when
- 10:52Speaker 9: you in the middle of it, you can't see left, right, north, south,
- 10:56Speaker 9: You don't know which way you go?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Where do you find your encouragement?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Got holes in it? Yeah, got holes in it. You
- 11:04Speaker 2: ain't got no buckets, you ain't even bailing.
- 11:07Speaker 1: No, can't get nothing out of him. Man.
- 11:11Speaker 7: For me, it's a little bit different because I'm older,
- 11:14Speaker 7: already know that this too shall pass already know from
- 11:18Speaker 7: prior experience that everything I've ever gone through God that
- 11:21Speaker 7: brought me through it. I already have learned through life's trials, tribulations,
- 11:28Speaker 7: set backs and all of that, that I am a
- 11:33Speaker 7: child of the most hot and he got me covered
- 11:37Speaker 7: and I'm gonna survive it.
- 11:39Speaker 2: So see.
- 11:39Speaker 7: But now, until you get a little bit of that
- 11:42Speaker 7: experience under your belt, my strong suggestion to you is
- 11:48Speaker 7: to is to use the greatest weapon available to us.
- 11:52Speaker 7: That's oftentime, not used until you get into moments of
- 11:56Speaker 7: turmoil and peril, and that's prayer works.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Man, Prayer change his thing.
- 12:03Speaker 7: I was playing golf with a dude one time, the
- 12:05Speaker 7: older guy, and I said, hey, man, prayer works.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Prayer change his thing, don't it. He was a pastor.
- 12:12Speaker 2: He looked at me and say, prayer change people too.
- 12:16Speaker 7: And let the one statement he said to me it
- 12:19Speaker 7: affected me, man in a most profound way, because I
- 12:22Speaker 7: was just fooling with the pastor.
- 12:24Speaker 2: We out there playing golf and stuff. I just met
- 12:26Speaker 2: the guy. He was a capital, he was a pastor.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Cool dude.
- 12:30Speaker 2: We was talking trash all game long. He was on
- 12:32Speaker 2: the group behind me.
- 12:33Speaker 7: Before I teed off, I turned around and say, hey, Pastor,
- 12:36Speaker 7: I said, prayer change. Prayer change is things. He said,
- 12:40Speaker 7: Prayer change people too. This is for me now, I
- 12:44Speaker 7: don't know what. I can't speak for the people. Prayer
- 12:47Speaker 7: for me gives me the sense of there's some aid
- 12:51Speaker 7: and assistance available to me. Prayer gives me the feeling
- 12:56Speaker 7: that I'm not alone, and press strengthens me and encourages
- 13:03Speaker 7: me that it's gonna be all right.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Those are the things that prayer does for me.
- 13:08Speaker 7: The moment I start praying, yeah, I know it's gonna
- 13:11Speaker 7: be all right, I feel I don't feel the loan anymore,
- 13:14Speaker 7: and I feel a strength and a comfort.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Prayer works, man, So when you're in the storm, get
- 13:20Speaker 2: to pray it.
- 13:21Speaker 7: It would be really helpful if you would pray when
- 13:23Speaker 7: you weren't in the storm, so you wouldn't have to
- 13:26Speaker 7: introduce yourself to him when you got in trouble.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I don't like myself to him when I'm in trouble.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Coming up in thirty minutes after the hour, Well hear
- 13:39Speaker 1: from inf youw is he runs that Brenk back right

- 15:45Speaker 4: Now you know what. Look I told you you just
- 15:48Speaker 4: came down Clayton Road and just and just tore my
- 15:50Speaker 4: mama tree up.
- 15:51Speaker 10: All the lived down, no residential neighborhood today. Man, quit
- 15:54Speaker 10: calling my phone with that.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Look my grandmama played that tree. Now you don't have
- 15:59Speaker 2: to do it.
- 16:00Speaker 10: Planned it. Move them up then cut the branches off
- 16:02Speaker 10: the summer and them.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Branches is clear enough.
- 16:05Speaker 4: You're not supposed to be driving them eighteen wheel trucks
- 16:07Speaker 4: down this residential area like this here.
- 16:10Speaker 10: Man, I would make delivery got if I had to
- 16:12Speaker 10: come down that treet I would have. But I told

- 16:22Speaker 10: If I hadn't made deliver down there, I would have
- 16:24Speaker 10: came down that street. I ain't had to come down there.
- 16:27Speaker 2: You've been on Clayton Street today, Now that part I
- 16:29Speaker 2: do know.

- 16:38Speaker 4: We got to cut this old tree down, and you
- 16:40Speaker 4: know what you gonna pay for this?
- 16:42Speaker 10: Then I ain't saying for a muddle tree that.
- 16:45Speaker 2: I know you ain't talking about my mama tree.
- 16:48Speaker 10: Well, guess what, take your tree and take your mama
- 16:52Speaker 10: and both of y'all go out there and playing another street.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Then we ain't playing no more tree. That tree been
- 16:57Speaker 4: in our family for years. You're gonna mess around and
- 16:59Speaker 4: get your swip.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Behind this tree.

- 18:10Speaker 2: It's one thing you can do about it. You can
- 18:12Speaker 2: pay for it. And that's what you're gonna do. Now.

- 22:07Speaker 1: sorry Toronto. Her name is Toronto, Toronto, and Lafayette says,
- 22:10Speaker 1: my husband's sister is having problems in her marriage, so
- 22:14Speaker 1: she's staying with us. When I got home from work.
- 22:17Speaker 1: She was wearing one of my robes. I will gladly
- 22:21Speaker 1: get her some things if need be. So how do
- 22:24Speaker 1: I nicely tell her that my stuff, my stuff is
- 22:28Speaker 1: off limits.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Let me catch you ass in this robe? Forget him nicely?
- 22:34Speaker 1: She said, nice?
- 22:35Speaker 6: Nice?
- 22:36Speaker 2: Catch it off of second, just walk up there. Just
- 22:39Speaker 2: tad awful?
- 22:40Speaker 7: He or if I can't wear the robe, ain't nobody
- 22:44Speaker 7: gonna wear a rolle? Take a butcher knife and cut
- 22:47Speaker 7: the cold, cut the bill, swing over, just do whood stuff.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Here's my question. Is she's saying anything while she's cutting
- 22:56Speaker 1: the robe off?
- 22:57Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, yeah, everybody cussing and cutting is a part
- 22:59Speaker 2: of it. Yeah, it goes, it goes. Yeah, and see
- 23:06Speaker 2: don't look the same on you no more? All right?
- 23:10Speaker 1: Moving on to Marissa and Stockbridge, Marissa writes, I'm thirty
- 23:14Speaker 1: eight years old and my husband likes to watch porn
- 23:17Speaker 1: while we're intimate. He says, he imagines that I'm the
- 23:21Speaker 1: women in the video. This doesn't sit well with my soul.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Does this mean that he is not satisfied with my
- 23:28Speaker 1: body and normal intimacy?
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well, he imagined that you the women in the video?
- 23:34Speaker 8: Uh huh?
- 23:35Speaker 11: You do what?
- 23:36Speaker 8: What?
- 23:36Speaker 2: What? What did you text? What did you write us?
- 23:38Speaker 2: This fault? He just told you.
- 23:41Speaker 7: He imagines that you are the women in the video,
- 23:46Speaker 7: so he takes his mind off you and puts it
- 23:50Speaker 7: on huh. And instead of doing you, he's doing huh.
- 23:55Speaker 7: Which partities you don't get? Just don't sit right with
- 23:58Speaker 7: my soul. You ain't got the dreams your soul and
- 24:00Speaker 7: it is.
- 24:03Speaker 1: It did take it somewhere else, didn't it.
- 24:08Speaker 2: That's the name of the movie back in the day.
- 24:13Speaker 1: She needs to shut that down, all right, Frankie in Texas.
- 24:18Speaker 1: As we move on, Frankie says, my son's child, that
- 24:22Speaker 1: would be your grandchild. My son's child and child's mother
- 24:25Speaker 1: live with me. She can't stay with my son because
- 24:28Speaker 1: he has a new girlfriend. But he still comes to
- 24:31Speaker 1: have sex with his child's mother. And I don't need
- 24:34Speaker 1: to be hearing that, and neither does the child.
- 24:37Speaker 2: What should I do, Gota, Well, you got to put
- 24:42Speaker 2: a stop to that in your house. Your house, you
- 24:45Speaker 2: could actually.
- 24:46Speaker 7: Put a stop to that and just tell him that
- 24:48Speaker 7: he's being disrespectful. Very And then now he has a
- 24:53Speaker 7: new girlfriend somewhere else, but his former girlfriend and baby
- 25:00Speaker 7: live with his mama.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Right, and he has.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Lived with the mama too.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Yeah, he has his own house that you know, he
- 25:10Speaker 1: has this new girlfriend over I'm sure.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Well, see, you got to take all this to your house.
- 25:15Speaker 7: Yeah, and you coming back over here still having relations
- 25:19Speaker 7: with her in front of me and this boy. That
- 25:22Speaker 7: ain't gonna work. Being disrespectful. You need to sit the
- 25:25Speaker 7: girl down at and ask what's wrong with her?
- 25:28Speaker 1: That's what Frankie should do, because that's what she wants
- 25:31Speaker 1: to know.
- 25:31Speaker 2: What should she do? Well, you need to have conversation
- 25:33Speaker 2: with your son about being respectful of your house and
- 25:36Speaker 2: your rooms. Secondly, you need a conversation with this girl
- 25:41Speaker 2: and just go what's wrong with you? Yeah?
- 25:44Speaker 7: Now, you ain't good enough to go with him. You
- 25:48Speaker 7: ain't good enough to be with him. You got you
- 25:51Speaker 7: gotta stop being good enough to do him. Got to
- 25:55Speaker 7: be better than that.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, good?
- 25:59Speaker 4: Yeah, and loving and then mama's food right after that though.
- 26:03Speaker 4: That's pretty damn good, don't you come in?
- 26:06Speaker 1: That's the bright side for you.
- 26:08Speaker 2: That's why you that's why you do pranks, all.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Right, Steve, here's the last one. This one's Nevea in
- 26:20Speaker 1: Culver City. Navea says, I've been dating a man for
- 26:24Speaker 1: fourteen years and we both turned forty in December. I
- 26:29Speaker 1: was hoping for an engagement ring for Christmas, but he
- 26:31Speaker 1: said the ring is custom made and won't be ready
- 26:34Speaker 1: until Valentine's Day. If I don't get it, then should
- 26:38Speaker 1: I leave?
- 26:40Speaker 2: Oh?
- 26:42Speaker 1: Well, she's been they've been dating.
- 26:47Speaker 4: What what?
- 26:50Speaker 5: What?
- 26:51Speaker 2: What do y'all want me to say?
- 26:53Speaker 1: Say it?
- 26:54Speaker 2: Just say it? You listen to me. I've said this
- 26:58Speaker 2: one hundred times on this show.
- 27:00Speaker 7: Why is it that women do not understand this fact
- 27:06Speaker 7: that you have every right to know and have a
- 27:11Speaker 7: say soul with the direction your life is going.
- 27:18Speaker 2: You have a right, yea to have a say soul
- 27:24Speaker 2: and know the direction in which your life is going.
- 27:28Speaker 2: That's your right as a human being.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Okay, stop right there. Why don't they? Why don't they then?
- 27:36Speaker 7: Because you think that you're supposed to center around and
- 27:41Speaker 7: wait on somebody else to make a decision about your life.
- 27:46Speaker 2: When you have the power to exact the decisions you want.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Example, Okay, the.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Reason you keep waiting on a ring and don't get
- 28:00Speaker 7: it is because a ring is not a requirement of yours.
- 28:05Speaker 2: It is a hope of yours. And if that ain't
- 28:08Speaker 2: the hope of his then all hope is lost.
- 28:13Speaker 1: We're hopeless.
- 28:15Speaker 2: So why don't you make it a requirement for this
- 28:19Speaker 2: to continue?
- 28:20Speaker 4: I am no.
- 28:21Speaker 11: Fourteen years that's at long'sfe and now it's custom made
- 28:30Speaker 11: and it won't be ready to custom boy?
- 28:33Speaker 1: What boy?
- 28:34Speaker 7: Stop them? Rings ain't custom made? Their asses in k jewler,
- 28:38Speaker 7: they in the window or they in the window. You
- 28:44Speaker 7: ain't got enough smart to make a damn custom ring.
- 28:49Speaker 2: You nuts. Let me tell you something, man, if you
- 28:51Speaker 2: go in there and pick out that diamond in that setting,
- 28:54Speaker 2: your ass can come back tomorrow the ring ready?
- 28:59Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:59Speaker 1: Okay, Well one more question because we need to understand this. See,
- 29:04Speaker 1: go ahead, Well why fourteen years? I mean, why would
- 29:07Speaker 1: you stay with someone for fourteen years without anything?
- 29:11Speaker 2: A lot of people have done it.
- 29:12Speaker 7: Because because you keep waiting on this theme to happen,
- 29:16Speaker 7: that you have not made a requirement. And I keep
- 29:20Speaker 7: telling y'all listen to me, ladies. A wedding day is
- 29:23Speaker 7: a woman's dream. The wedding day is not the man's dream.
- 29:27Speaker 7: All the man dreams of is the chick of his dreams.
- 29:30Speaker 7: We don't dream of our wedding day. And if we
- 29:32Speaker 7: can get to chick without the wedding day.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Bam, he got with he Oh don't all right, clo,
- 29:37Speaker 1: thank you.
- 29:39Speaker 2: This is Steve Harvin Martin show man hit. That twenty
- 29:42Speaker 2: four year old girl is dating this sixty five year
- 29:44Speaker 2: old man that buys and does everything for her.
- 29:47Speaker 7: Five months ago, I met another man closer to my age.
- 29:50Speaker 7: He took me to a family reunion and to my surprise,
- 29:52Speaker 7: my sugar daddy is his stepdaddy. He ain't say anything,
- 29:56Speaker 7: and I showed didn't because his wife is down. Now
- 29:58Speaker 7: you over there got to be quiet and stupid, but
- 30:00Speaker 7: you're dating the man's damn son.
- 30:03Speaker 2: My question is is the sugar daddy his daddy? Your
- 30:06Speaker 2: daddy is his daddy? How many daddy you got? Show
- 30:13Speaker 2: coming up right after?
- 30:17Speaker 1: So here's a question for you guys. Is there a
- 30:20Speaker 1: time in your life where you celebrated something before you
- 30:23Speaker 1: had it?
- 30:24Speaker 2: Oh know what I mean?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Before you should have?
- 30:27Speaker 2: God? Come on me, what what? God?
- 30:32Speaker 1: What happened?
- 30:33Speaker 4: I got I booked the show. It was a Jamie
- 30:37Speaker 4: Jamie Fox was going to do a show called uh
- 30:41Speaker 4: it was it was oh God, variety show like that
- 30:46Speaker 4: and and the show and I came home celebrated through
- 30:50Speaker 4: a party that I gotta.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I got a TV in the show. Never happened, God,
- 31:00Speaker 2: so never happened.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Oh my god, you spent all that money.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Oh Man got a call from his manager at the
- 31:08Speaker 4: time was Marcus King. Got a call from Mark We
- 31:10Speaker 4: got your show.
- 31:11Speaker 2: We're good. Oh good Man went home through a party,
- 31:14Speaker 2: spent a whole bunch of money. Yeah, didn't did.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Not happen at all, just spending money. All What about you, junior?
- 31:23Speaker 2: Oh the thing they tease me about every time I
- 31:26Speaker 2: go back to Houston. I mean playing against wood Rich
- 31:28Speaker 2: High School of Football. I was running back.
- 31:31Speaker 9: I broke out from the one yard land, ran all
- 31:34Speaker 9: the way to the fire. I started putting my hand
- 31:37Speaker 9: up and got tackled at the other one.
- 31:42Speaker 2: You did, don't know? So now my whole name at
- 31:44Speaker 2: the barber shop is ninety nine. Didn't come ninety nine,
- 31:52Speaker 2: went to wool Ridge right a high stoodent man.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Celebrate just yeah, all right, come on, Steve, I know
- 32:05Speaker 1: you have Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 2: My biggest one was nineteen seventy eight. Yeah, I ordered
- 32:16Speaker 2: that triple plum cuttness final final roof crushed the little
- 32:23Speaker 2: seats Burgundy burgundy, burgundy white stir wheel wrap had already
- 32:31Speaker 2: ordered it.
- 32:31Speaker 7: Cause of the I was getting a big commission check
- 32:34Speaker 7: for something, this life insurance couple, life insurance policy to
- 32:38Speaker 7: this couple, it was all ago. She said, I just
- 32:42Speaker 7: need my husband to see this. Can you come by
- 32:44Speaker 7: one more time. I came by and I was I
- 32:47Speaker 7: had to brochure in my briefcase of the cuttness. He said, yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 7: we're not gonna do it. What excuse me? Excuse me?
- 32:56Speaker 7: Now that's what the husband said. We're not gonna do it.
- 32:59Speaker 7: We don't want the policy. I'm gonna look somewhere else.
- 33:02Speaker 7: So I lost two things that day. Well, that night,
- 33:07Speaker 7: I lost the cutlass because now there's no way I
- 33:10Speaker 7: can get it because I ain't got the money.
- 33:13Speaker 2: But I went to work the next day and lost
- 33:15Speaker 2: my job.
- 33:18Speaker 7: Job.
- 33:19Speaker 2: It's after the white dude said, and we're not gonna
- 33:22Speaker 2: do it. Yeah. When I got up, I didn't cuss
- 33:26Speaker 2: him out. But the table got turned over.
- 33:30Speaker 1: The tables just don't get turned over. What happened to my.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Hand got caught up under when I stood up real fast.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Didn't know you flipped that table.
- 33:44Speaker 11: That was I was.
- 33:45Speaker 2: It was nineteen seventy eight. I was straight hood. I
- 33:48Speaker 2: ain't famous. I ain't I ain't told the joke yet.
- 33:53Speaker 2: For a quart.
- 33:55Speaker 7: Didn't have a brand to concern myself with. Was wide
- 33:59Speaker 7: opening the aailable for all lawsuits. Because I have nothing,
- 34:02Speaker 7: you can win. So nineteen seventy eight was the prime
- 34:06Speaker 7: time to.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Mess with me. I had nothing.
- 34:09Speaker 7: Flipp the deal, golden gloves, Yeah, flipped it. I walk
- 34:13Speaker 7: came in the next morning. Everybody was looking at me.
- 34:16Speaker 7: Damn herve you're good, tom want to see you?
- 34:23Speaker 1: All right?
- 34:24Speaker 2: All right?
- 34:25Speaker 1: Does marriage make you a better person? That is the
- 34:27Speaker 1: question on the table right now.
- 34:30Speaker 5: No, hey, hey, tent on this show.
- 34:39Speaker 1: A new study from Tilburg University in the Netherlands suggests
- 34:43Speaker 1: that marriage can make you a better person. Specifically, getting
- 34:47Speaker 1: hitched makes you more forgiving and more likely to exercise
- 34:51Speaker 1: self control. All right, that's what it says.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Who they study.
- 34:56Speaker 1: This is a new study. They studied married, marry people,
- 34:59Speaker 1: people that.

- 48:36Speaker 4: I believe that a person ought to be uh, the
- 48:40Speaker 4: last words are to be said over him in a

- 48:45Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying, A player, player, No, I don't.

- 49:01Speaker 4: There man ought to gone on and the last words
- 49:04Speaker 4: are to be in a place he more familiar with.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Now, if he went to church, then I understand that.
- 49:09Speaker 8: You see, bro, Hell no, no, See it's his chance
- 49:13Speaker 8: to get itself right. And don't we don't have him
- 49:15Speaker 8: up in church in front of everybody. You know, that

- 53:58Speaker 2: Low? All this comes from restrictions, you know, Oh boy.
- 54:03Speaker 7: He can't see what he do to other people because
- 54:06Speaker 7: he can't see the expression on their face. If you're
- 54:09Speaker 7: staring at somebody's shirt on the damn tip, it's hard
- 54:12Speaker 7: to look up and see how they're not laughing Tommy
- 54:16Speaker 7: face the chest, or you can see they're hurting some people.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Shit, that was great laughing, Tommy, I'm laughing at something else.
- 54:24Speaker 1: I'm not laughing at what else?

- 56:11Speaker 2: We got it for you.
- 56:12Speaker 4: Here.
- 56:12Speaker 2: It is Drawberry letter.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Subject, I need both of them, and I need to
- 56:17Speaker 1: do a disclaimer before we read this letter. If you
- 56:19Speaker 1: have small children, you don't want them.
- 56:21Speaker 5: To hear this.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Cover up their ears. Okay again, the subject is I
- 56:27Speaker 1: need both of them. Dear Stephen Shirley, My husband and
- 56:31Speaker 1: I have been through hell and back in our short
- 56:33Speaker 1: four year marriage. He cheated on me first, and then
- 56:36Speaker 1: I cheated on him. When I cheated, I got caught
- 56:39Speaker 1: in the act, and the guy I cheated with rides
- 56:42Speaker 1: motorcycles with my husband. How it happened was crazy. We
- 56:46Speaker 1: went to a viking event and my husband got drunk,
- 56:49Speaker 1: so his friend brought us home. His friend helped me
- 56:52Speaker 1: get him into bed. Then we went outside to smoke
- 56:55Speaker 1: some wheed. I hadn't had sex and months because my
- 56:58Speaker 1: husband cheated on me. I got so high I started
- 57:02Speaker 1: telling his friend all of our business, and then some
- 57:05Speaker 1: kind of way we ended up on the side of
- 57:08Speaker 1: the house, naked from the waist down. I was hooking up.
- 57:13Speaker 1: I was hooking him up when my husband started calling
- 57:16Speaker 1: my name, and when he came to the side of
- 57:18Speaker 1: the house, we didn't have time to pull our pants
- 57:22Speaker 1: up or run. We were busted. I told my husband
- 57:26Speaker 1: I was sorry, and then he surprised us by telling
- 57:29Speaker 1: us to finish because he wanted to watch. We couldn't
- 57:34Speaker 1: work under that pressure, so I got dressed and went inside,
- 57:37Speaker 1: and he encouraged his friend to come inside and finish
- 57:41Speaker 1: me off while he watched. I think this is something
- 57:44Speaker 1: they've done before. Because they were both too comfortable. We
- 57:48Speaker 1: started having sex, and then my husband joined in. This
- 57:51Speaker 1: was my first threesome with two men, and I can't
- 57:55Speaker 1: believe my husband allowed this. A few days later, he
- 57:59Speaker 1: decided to bring it up and asked me to be
- 58:02Speaker 1: honest with him. I told him I need the both
- 58:05Speaker 1: of them every once in a while to keep things interesting.
- 58:08Speaker 1: He said it was fine and he'd be he'd bring
- 58:13Speaker 1: he'd bring a female over sometime so that he can
- 58:16Speaker 1: have some fun too. I shut it down and said
- 58:19Speaker 1: I only want him and his friend. Now he's acting jealous,
- 58:24Speaker 1: So why did he start all of this? That's what
- 58:29Speaker 1: he wants, don't you see it, That's what he wants.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I mean, some kind of way. We ended up on
- 58:35Speaker 1: the side of the house, naked from the waist down.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I thought that was really like the craziest line in
- 58:41Speaker 1: the letter.
- 58:43Speaker 2: But there is more.
- 58:44Speaker 1: I mean, there's a lot of them in here. Your
- 58:46Speaker 1: husband asked his friend to finish you off so he
- 58:48Speaker 1: could watch. Then I'm thinking this is really working out
- 58:54Speaker 1: for your favor because hubby is on board with all
- 58:57Speaker 1: of this and he's joining in. And he didn't kill you, guys.
- 59:01Speaker 1: He didn't kill his friend, he didn't kick you out,
- 59:03Speaker 1: he didn't divorce you, he didn't give his friend a
- 59:06Speaker 1: beat down any of that. Nothing, nothing normal happened in
- 59:10Speaker 1: this letter. So I'm thinking, since both of you are
- 59:13Speaker 1: cheaters and you like threesomes and all of this, and
- 59:16Speaker 1: your husband liked watching and all of that, although you
- 59:21Speaker 1: know he can't bring the females in because you shut
- 59:23Speaker 1: that down, it just sounds like you guys are in
- 59:26Speaker 1: some sort of open marriage and you don't know it.
- 59:29Speaker 1: You know, you just haven't named it yet. This is
- 59:31Speaker 1: what swingers do they share their mates with others? And
- 59:35Speaker 1: that's what you guys are into. So I just say,
- 59:37Speaker 1: go ahead, put a label on it and own it,
- 59:40Speaker 1: because that's what this crazy marriage is, okay, and it
- 59:45Speaker 1: is what it is. You guys are into sharing period.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Steve. You know, here's the problem with this letter is
- 59:58Speaker 2: at the question at the and it's at the answer
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: to that question at the end is also how the
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: letter begins.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: The question at the end is so why did he
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: start all of this? Why did he start all of this?
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Is the question. Well, let me tell you what happened
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: at the top of the letter. They've been in the
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: back and forth short through hell and back relationship before
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: your marriage. He cheated on me first, then I cheated
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: on him. When I cheated, I got caught in the act.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: And the guy I cheated with rides motorcycles with my husband.
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: That's a lot of information. We ain't even out of
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: paragraph one. This letter is packed with facts and we
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: not even otter.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Did you hear me? So when you go back to
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: the end of the letter and it goes, so why
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: did he start all this?
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: What?
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: He cheated on me first? Then I cheated on him?
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Then when I cheated, I got caught in the act.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: And the guy I cheated. We'll ride motorcycles with my husband.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: That ain't all he ride, or it ain't just motorcycles.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: What else? He's a rider.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: He just a rider.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: He read it up. What you want to do. He
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: ride bikes, He rides uh, trailer holmes, he ride ons.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: He do sidewalking on side of houses. He uh, he streaks.
- 1:01:45Speaker 12: Uh.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: He do service calls. He got a tuck in service
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: at night for drunk men that need to be tucked
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: in bed. This this is just an amazing letter. So
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: when I come back, I want to share with you,
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: you know, because like I told you, y'all, y'all went
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: to a biking event. Your husband got so drunk that
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: is free and brought y'all home, and his friend helped
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: me get him into bed. See that's a service. That's
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: a nice friend. Then y'all went outside smoking weed. See
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: that right there. He'll plug. He helped you get your husband.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: In your bed. He got weed.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: She was high, Steve, she was so high.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I ain't never been that high.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Of Steve's response, coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: the hour Strawberry Letters, subject today. I need both of them.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back right after this. It's time
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: to talk about life insurance. It's one of those things
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that everyone should have, and Globe Life makes it easy
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: with no medical exam, just a simple application and coverage
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: options up to one hundred thousand dollars. Get the coverage
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: you need in twenty twenty five. Go online globelife radio
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: dot com or call one eight hundred two five one
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: fifty four hundred to apply in minutes. That's globelifradio dot
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: com or one eight hundred two five one fifty four hundred.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I need both of them as a subject.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: This letter is so crazy. This lady been in a
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: been through hell back and forth in a short fold
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: year marriage. He cheated on me first, then I cheated
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: on him. Then when I cheated, I got caught in
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: the act. The guy cheated with riding motorcycle with my hub.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: That sounded like, uh, that movie Smoking the Bandit with
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Jackie Gleason was describing how he was chasing rudderscross the country.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: He got charges on it. He was eating that sandwich.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Give me my give me that dieblow sandwich. He'd across
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: state line and got him for kidnapping, high speed chasing,
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: distart police property.
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: So this is what I left him with the lady husband.
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: See how this sounds right, that's the funny part to me.
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: So now let's move on down the letter. So they
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: went outside after he tuk the husband in bed who
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: got drunk at the bike at the motorcycle riding event.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: His friend got your husband. Your husband got so drunk.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: He helped you get him in the house and tuck
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: him in bed. Then y'all went outside to smoke some weed.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: You ain't had sex in moss because your husband cheated
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: on him.
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: I got so high I started telling his friend all
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: our business. And there's some kind of way now hear
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: the part right here, like you don't know right, some
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: kind of weight. We ended up on the side of
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: the house, neked from the waist down. What you got
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: to take them down? Motorcycle boots off, you got to
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: take them chaps off, you gotta get them tight ends,
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: jeans off, you gotta get that motorcycle vest off.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: But you're from the waist down.
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: So you got the honor your club. So you gotta
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: keep your vests on, vest off because you see you
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: got your motorcycle patch on it. You can't disrespect to patch.
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: That's like burning American flying to a hill boy. So
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: now y'all neked from the waist down.
- 1:05:46Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: I was hooking him up when my husband started calling
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: my name, and when he came to the side of
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: the house, we ain't had time.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: To pull our pants up or run. I've never been
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: in that place issue. Wow, I ever heard I can't run?
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: But so you so comfortable you done took your clothes
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: off and folded them up on the ground in a pile.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: He can't run. I got to have at least one
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: leg and something. God, So now we didn't have time
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: to pull our pants up and run. We were busted.
- 1:06:29Speaker 7: I told my husband I'm sorry, and then he surprised
- 1:06:32Speaker 7: us by telling us to finish because.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: He wanted to watch.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: That was a surprise.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: You surprised everybody in the letter with that one.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Yeah, we read it.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: We went what kill anybody? We couldn't work under that pressure.
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: So I got dressed and went inside, and he encouraged
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: his friend to come inside and finish me off while
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: he watched.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: I think this is something they'd done before.
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: Oh, because they were both too comfortable for Wait a minute,
- 1:07:03Speaker 7: that was your takeaway.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Your husband told another man to come in the house
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: and finish you off. Your takeaway is I think they've
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: done this before because they were uncomfortable and.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: You wouldn't right pants on.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: So now we started having sex?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: What?
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: Yeah, lady, you go along with all this. We started
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: having sex, and then my husband joined in, join in. Yes,
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: it's funny man, man, somebody doing my wife exactly. And
- 1:07:44Speaker 7: then I tap in, like you had to dance with
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: white people. Welcome taping on the shoulder, my turn. You
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: had one of them white dances now where they tap in,
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: you had the boul Reguard ball or something. I said,
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: that was my first threesome with two men, and I
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: can't believe my husband the loudest. A few days later,
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: he decided to bring it up and asked me to
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: be honest with him. I told him I need the
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: both of them every once in a while to keep
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: things interesting. He said it was fine, and he'd bring
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: a female female over sometime so that he can have
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: some fun too.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: I ship that down. We ain't doing all that. I
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: don't know who you think I am? What type of
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: woman you think I am? Bring another woman up in here.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: I just want menses.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: That's why she drew the line.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Yeah, draw this line up in here.
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: But it's gonna be three people in the bedroom. It's
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: gonna be two menses and me. That's weird anyway, because
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: once I'm naked, I could be the only one with
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: a body part that looked like mine in that room.
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: I'm gonna tell you that right now. And now, he
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: can't be two people in here with zippers, know something,
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: have several people in here with a dress on, but
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: it can't be one.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Dude. You didn't hear with no damn zipp if we
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: talking about getting nicky, So lady, I ain't got no
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: advice to you. Your question is why did he start
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: all this? The question is why did you finish all this?
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the question.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Thank you all right, Steve, Thank you.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Leave your comments today. Please on the Strawberry Letter on

- 1:09:25Speaker 1: and my New Year's resolutions are the same as they
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: have been for these last few years. Just don't make
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: any because I never keep them. Happy New Year. From
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:10:09Speaker 1: See this is from Dorothy in Essex. Dorothy says, I
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: saw on a TV show that a woman had four
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: children by her husband, and she said that she had
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: never once had an orgasm. I'm sixty eight years old
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: and I'm in the same situation. I have three grown
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: children and I've faked it in the bedroom for almost
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: forty years. I cheated on my husband twice, and I
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: had really really good sex both times. But I loved
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: my husband so much that I couldn't leave him. Should
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I come clean with him and let him know that
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I've had sex that's better than his, Or do I
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: keep it to myself and never ever have an orgasm
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: in my life?
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: Ever have an orgasm? You got to die another will
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: what you just told? Don't you do that.
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: Because it's going to accomplish nothing. It will accomplish nothing.
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: It would destroy his feelings for you. If you tell
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: this man because he was, you're going to destroy his
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: feelings for you and his ego all at once. So
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: when you tell this man that you cheated on him
- 1:11:21Speaker 7: to have great sex and it was better than his,
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: but you love him so much you couldn't leave him,
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: you think that.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: Everything you say after that is mute, shut shot, this
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: go to the grave. Them two dudes. You had to
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: the grave. Yeah. Now I don't promote cheating or nothing
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: like that, but you might have to go back over there.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Yeah, she said it was really good with them all time.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: See me, I ain't telling you what to do. Seem
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: to me like you need to go back over there.
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: Is it too late to.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Help her husband? Help her?
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Forty you dog? If you ain't figured it out in
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: forty years, what I don't understand? What is he doing?
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Apparently nothing?
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Apparently it's Steve Harbin Martin show Man.
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: How would you know if your wife is a former stripper?
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: I have a couple of ways that you.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Okay, If every time she enters the room she grabs
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: the edge of the doorway and swings into the that
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: that's a damn dead giveaway. She grabbed the edge of
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: that doorway and swang into that's a damn dead gibble
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: y'all walking down the street. Yeah, and she pick up
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: all the money she see on the sidewalk, even if
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: it's a quarter, nickels dime. If she knows how to
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: pick up money off the ground, this is a dead
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: giveaway that your wife could have been a strip.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Right after all?
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: Right, guys?
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: So, according to a new One Poll survey, about half
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: of Americans hide out when they need to find peace
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: and quiet and privacy. Where do they hide out from
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: other family members? In their household? In the bathroom. In
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: the bathroom, that's where they are.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: But you got to keep the light out though you
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: can't turn that light on.
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: You're just in the room.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: But you at peace. You don't need to see nothing
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: in that Noway, what you need to see are you?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Are you with your phone in there? You take you
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: got your phone in there.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: You gotta take your phone.
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: You gotta take you something to drink, A couple of snacks,
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: you know, and if you got it, you like a
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: bowl ice cream, that's good.
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: You might sit on right down because it's gonna straight
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: through you anyway. It's gonna go straight through you anyway.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: Just sit there because I'm not eating in the bathroom. Sorry,
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: those when I don't have that. Aunc got he got
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: a TV in here. I ain't got there yet. I
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: ain't made that kind of I ain't made that. No
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: way get the aathroom without no TV.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: It's no way, right, there's no way that's impossible. I
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: have an entire office in my bathroom, phones on the
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: wall there working. I told you one thing.
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: I got one better than that. Because we always have
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: a construction at the house. I go standing in the
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: porter partty to get away from everybody.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Yeah. I didn't actually win anything there and just shut
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: the door and just stood in there for fifteen minutes.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: So it's true.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: Then you probably got a different kind of porter party,
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: though yours probably different.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: Well, they got the can.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Let's hear that.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: Here we go, here we go, come come home.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Let me hear it.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: Because I guarantee you is not the one we use
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: at the fire.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: It ain't that green one. It ain't that green one.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: I'm telling the different one.
- 1:15:16Speaker 7: Well, they have they have VI P port parties that
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: have steps on them. You go up the steps. They
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: got stalls with doors.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: They have you known wash boss, you know, sinks and
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: all of that. I have a little green one where
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: you just standing over some mess. That's the can't say
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: it was in on the commercial. Remember when it turned
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: over It was like that one. You remember that. I
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: think it's more of an executive VI You know you
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: go up the steps.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: The bathroom for both of you guys, is where.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: You mad through? Yeah? You know like sometimes I'll just
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: drive off.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Steven's bathroom slash office.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: You know something. I just get in my car, just
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: drive on.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Yeah you can you still drive every now and I dried, okay,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: but you.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Know what you get tired of here?
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: What was you?
- 1:16:20Speaker 10: Why?
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: Why? Why? What do you want?
- 1:16:24Speaker 8: You need?
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: Look?
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: I need you to do something. I heard answer me
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: answer me. I need you right now?
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: What Steve?
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: What I didn't want to I was calling you.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: I want to say I heard you answer the phone.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: I called you on your phone. You have your phone
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: with you? Why you didn't answer your phone?
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: You silent on the radio this morning. I forgot to
- 1:16:46Speaker 7: take it off. Silent the phone, right, man. One time
- 1:16:53Speaker 7: Marjorie called me. She was upstairs and I was I
- 1:16:56Speaker 7: was in the backyard in the motor court and she
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: was standing up in the window calling me. And I
- 1:17:02Speaker 7: didn't know she was in the window, and I had
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: my phone in my hand. And when I saw the phone,
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: I went.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: God, dunk it. And you saw that gesture? Yeah, So
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: I picked the phone and I went hello, turned around
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: in the window.
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: I turned around. She said, I saw you before answer
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: that phone. I said, baby, it was a damn be
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: over here.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Look at the lines, how they just roll off your
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: tongue busted busted. She's like, what do you won't answer me?
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Answer your text? When I text you, it says delivered.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: That's what we liftingum in my battery.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: And temmy, do not take ice cream in the bathroom anymore?
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Are you coming up? It is coming twenty minutes after
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: thet's more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: Right after this ew Bluebell.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: from Shelley from Steve BARBFM dot com. She says, I
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: made a resolution to be healthier this year. I plan
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: on trying to exercise a few times a week, and
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: I'm going to eat healthier. I talked to my boyfriend
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: about it before the new year, But now that I'm
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: trying to put it into practice, I'm getting no support
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: from him. Actually, he's making it more difficult. He just
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: junk food. And when I went to the gym yesterday,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: he said he was going to watch TV and chill.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I know I have to do this on my own.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: I know this, but I expected him to at least
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: support me. Am I wrong for wanting him to not
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: actively work against my healthy resolution? Was that wrong?
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: He didn't come along with the resolution, No, he did.
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: He made a commitment to be more of me. That's
- 1:19:02Speaker 7: obviously where he is. If you're trying to be less
- 1:19:05Speaker 7: of you and he trying to be more of me.
- 1:19:08Speaker 7: And it's hard when you don't have a support in
- 1:19:10Speaker 7: the house to stay on track, to die and everything.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: But you can't blame him. He ain't that dude, So
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: just stay on your mission. Stay focused. Maybe when he
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: sees your improvements he might join along. But that's the
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: only thing. It's hard to make the decision and hard
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: to stay committed. But if that's what you want to do,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: that's what you have to do. So just then want
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: to make it work.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: But Steve, do you really think he's got a bunch
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: of junk food?
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: She said, Now, not a candy bar all everywhere with him.
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: Huh, he's gonna be back on the couch in February.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Both y'all just sitting over there, just sweating. But stay
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: with it, those sisters, stay with you.

- 1:22:30Speaker 2: Well, I got a problem because.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: You're in trouble. All right, Quiet nephew, what you got?
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: I'm showing.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: You won't get in trouble for that? Will all right?

- 1:23:07Speaker 2: that's that's a lie right there.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: I don't I don't see you giving.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: It's no way I can starve, it's no weight.

- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Here we are, guys, our last break of the day,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: and it's been a good day. It's been a good day.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: We're starting this new year off in the right direction.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, you know what I had to come to
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: the realization.
- 1:24:42Speaker 7: Kind of want to share this with people, but you know,
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: I want to talk about there's a cost. There is
- 1:24:52Speaker 7: a cost. You know, when you make the decision to
- 1:24:59Speaker 7: be successful comes with a cost. And as much as
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: I've tried to negate the cost, as much as I've
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: tried to alleviate the cost, as much as I've oftentimes
- 1:25:14Speaker 7: just tried to not talk up the cost, the cost
- 1:25:18Speaker 7: is real. You know, I got in trouble, not really trouble,
- 1:25:23Speaker 7: but I got a bunch of haters that came online
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: one time when they saw me give a speech about
- 1:25:29Speaker 7: if you want to be successful, really really successful as something,
- 1:25:33Speaker 7: you can't sleep eight hours and I believe that, you know,
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: somebody counted it with Oprah says she gets eight hours sleep.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: Well. Oprah's wealthy, though, But if you go back on
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: her journey and asked her when she was hustling trying
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: to make it, what she getting eight I don't think
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: the answer would be yes. Everybody I know that's grinding,
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: that's in the hustle, trying to really really have more
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: than normal.
- 1:26:09Speaker 7: If you want above average, it comes at a cost.
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: And I've tried not to talk about it because I
- 1:26:18Speaker 7: don't want to, you know, knock anybody down about it.
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: But man, it's there's a cost for everything. And you know,
- 1:26:29Speaker 7: I know a lot of successful people who have health issues.
- 1:26:32Speaker 7: I've had my share of myself. Tommy can tell you
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: about his, Junior can tell you about his, All of
- 1:26:38Speaker 7: us can tell you about health issues. It's sometimes, you know,
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: it just it's a part of it. I don't know
- 1:26:47Speaker 7: how to explain it now. You don't want to sacrifice
- 1:26:49Speaker 7: one for the other, but sometimes it's unavoidable because there
- 1:26:56Speaker 7: is a cost, and a lot of times you end up.
- 1:26:59Speaker 7: Sometimes you have health issues because you just don't know
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: any better, you know. And that's why knowledge is so important,
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: because when you know better, you can do better.
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: And had I known a long long time ago that
- 1:27:11Speaker 7: everything I put into my body was gonna have an
- 1:27:14Speaker 7: effect on me, I would have made some changes a
- 1:27:16Speaker 7: long long time ago. I just really started understanding this
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: in the last fifteen twenty years of my life. You know,
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: the how important eating the right thing is, how important
- 1:27:28Speaker 7: it is to take supplements, how important it is to
- 1:27:31Speaker 7: take regular visits to your doctor. And as black men,
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: I'm talking especially to black men, we find it so
- 1:27:38Speaker 7: hard to go to these doctors. I got a partner
- 1:27:41Speaker 7: right now, man that's trying to get out the hospital
- 1:27:45Speaker 7: right now because he ain't been to the doctor in
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: eight years.
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: But he's seventy and it ain't been to the doctor
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: in eight years. We can't do that because we've been grinding.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: And I understood something about grind ending recently. When you're grinding,
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: grinding means actually to wear down. But in order to
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: have something, you got to get in the wear down process,
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: and the thing you end up wearing down is your body.
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: Now I'm not saying you should exchange your health for wealth.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: I wish that wasn't the cost, but oftentimes that's the
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: cost factor, and people who.
- 1:28:20Speaker 7: Don't want it, you don't have to do it. But
- 1:28:22Speaker 7: then there's a cost with being poor. To see, there's
- 1:28:26Speaker 7: a cost factor when you decide not to be anything.
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: It's a cost factor when you decide I'm just gonna
- 1:28:33Speaker 7: ride it out, I'm just gonna.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: Mail it in.
- 1:28:35Speaker 7: There's a cost factor for that. I notice when old
- 1:28:40Speaker 7: people who've been working their whole life finally retire and
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: they don't and they able to stop being active. I
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: watch them wear down, dissipate, just wither away because that work,
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: that thing called the grind of getting up going to
- 1:28:57Speaker 7: work every day. It gave them something to live or
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: gave them something to do and made them active. It's
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: just a cost, man, But you have to decide which
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: one of the costs you want to pay. Do you
- 1:29:08Speaker 7: want to pay the cost of being successful, or do
- 1:29:11Speaker 7: you want to be the cost you want to pay
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: the cost of being poor. Now, when I say poor,
- 1:29:16Speaker 7: I mean really poor. I don't mean like if you
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: make a hundred thousand dollars. I ain't talking about like
- 1:29:20Speaker 7: that you're doing great, man, your life is good. I
- 1:29:22Speaker 7: think people are that make a hundred thousand dollars doing
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: fine with your life. That's not what I'm saying, so
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: please don't misunderstand me. I'm talking about when you don't
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: have enough to eat, you can't put a roof over
- 1:29:36Speaker 7: your family's head, you can't get them to the store.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: And then you got to do more. Man, you got
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: to do more. But it's a cost for it, one
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: way or the other.
- 1:29:48Speaker 7: I suggest, though, if I look back on it all,
- 1:29:53Speaker 7: you have to find a way to create a balance.
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: But the balance ain't gonna be even even. It's just
- 1:30:01Speaker 7: gotta be. You got to grind, you got to rest,
- 1:30:04Speaker 7: You got to grind, You got to rest. You got
- 1:30:07Speaker 7: to grind, you got to rest. If you just grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind,
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: then try to rest, the cost factors gonna be greater.
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: So find the balance for yourself. I can't tell anybody
- 1:30:21Speaker 7: what that is. But there is a cost to being successful,
- 1:30:26Speaker 7: but there is a cost to not being successful, and
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: you have to decide which one of the costs you
- 1:30:32Speaker 7: have to pay.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: Now that's just real talk.
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: You can say it ain't so, but yes, it is
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: not being able to provide for your family. That's a
- 1:30:41Speaker 7: cost being able to provide for your family. There is
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: a cost. You have to decide which cost you're willing
- 1:30:49Speaker 7: to pay and then find a balance.
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: That's what I have to go.
- 1:30:54Speaker 7: So those are my clothes remarks. That's it for today.
