- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think that, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 5: You are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 5: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Okay, here we go. I was working out.
- 2:18Speaker 5: I was talking to a buddy of mine, and I
- 2:22Speaker 5: was telling him something that Bishop td Jakes told me
- 2:25Speaker 5: one time. I heard him say it. He said, I
- 2:30Speaker 5: would hate to die and not do the thing that
- 2:35Speaker 5: I was born to do. I would hate to die
- 2:41Speaker 5: and not do the thing that I was born to do.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Man, oh man, oh man, man.
- 2:49Speaker 5: That hit me like a like a like a pile
- 2:52Speaker 5: of bricks man, because it made me feel so grateful
- 2:58Speaker 5: that God has allowed me.
- 3:01Speaker 2: To live my life this way now.
- 3:05Speaker 5: And I'm talking about grateful for all of it, the good,
- 3:09Speaker 5: the bad, and the ugly and I have had all
- 3:14Speaker 5: of them. The person you see today it ain't always
- 3:19Speaker 5: who I was. It was on the inside of me,
- 3:22Speaker 5: but it hadn't externalized itself, if that's a word. It
- 3:26Speaker 5: hadn't been bought out. It was in here, but it
- 3:29Speaker 5: was under development. Who I am today was a process.
- 3:35Speaker 5: But like I said before, don't trip. He ain't through
- 3:40Speaker 5: with me yet. Even today, I'm still an imperfect soldier
- 3:46Speaker 5: for Christ. Today I still fall short oftentimes, but I'll
- 3:54Speaker 5: tell you what, I'm ever grateful for the life I have.
- 3:59Speaker 5: And you know what, I want to encourage everybody today
- 4:03Speaker 5: to explore your possibilities. I mean, man, explore your possibilities.
- 4:13Speaker 5: Why would you not want to find out, discover, or
- 4:19Speaker 5: know what it is God got for you? Why would
- 4:25Speaker 5: you not want to achieve or accomplish all of your possibilities? Now,
- 4:31Speaker 5: as I ask you this question, I want you to
- 4:34Speaker 5: know that the devil is busy, that he plays mind tricks.
- 4:38Speaker 5: So as you hear this, I already know he's saying
- 4:41Speaker 5: to some of y'all, Yeah, Steve, that's easy for you
- 4:44Speaker 5: to say, but I didne got myself in this situation
- 4:47Speaker 5: right here. You ain't nothing too hard for God. Nothing, nothing,
- 4:54Speaker 5: and see. So as you listen to me, try to
- 4:58Speaker 5: get your mind open to this. Why would you not
- 5:02Speaker 5: want to explore all of your life's possibilities, what's possible
- 5:07Speaker 5: with your life? And I'm talking about from right where
- 5:11Speaker 5: you are right now. I'm not asking you to change,
- 5:15Speaker 5: I'm not asking you to do anything. I'm telling you
- 5:17Speaker 5: this is a fact that God can get you from
- 5:21Speaker 5: right where you are right now. Broken, misled, misguided, misunderstood, mistaken,
- 5:35Speaker 5: all of that, misfortunate, all of the missus you've been
- 5:40Speaker 5: talking about in your life.
- 5:42Speaker 2: You know you.
- 5:43Speaker 5: I missed the lottery, I missed my ride. They fired me.
- 5:47Speaker 5: I missed the deadline. I didn't get it. Miss people
- 5:52Speaker 5: people just miss theay self to death. If you've been
- 5:56Speaker 5: all in missus, God can get you from right where
- 5:59Speaker 5: you are. God a home run hitter. I'm here to
- 6:03Speaker 5: tell you that he's a home run hitter. He's a
- 6:05Speaker 5: put him over the wall whenever he want to, all
- 6:08Speaker 5: the time. And you can be a recipient of some
- 6:10Speaker 5: of these home runs. He'll put the bat in your hand.
- 6:13Speaker 5: But you got to swing now.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Listen to me.
- 6:16Speaker 5: You got to stop feeling sorry for yourself. You got
- 6:19Speaker 5: to stop holding yourself down with beating yourself up. He
- 6:23Speaker 5: won't hold you down about it if you don't hold
- 6:25Speaker 5: yourself down about it. But I'm gonna tell you one
- 6:27Speaker 5: more time. The devil is busy. So what the devil
- 6:30Speaker 5: do is He make you think you ain't worthy. He
- 6:33Speaker 5: make you think that you've done something so despicable that
- 6:36Speaker 5: you can't come back from it. He makes you feel
- 6:39Speaker 5: like you so low you can't go up high. He
- 6:41Speaker 5: knock you down and make you feel like you've been
- 6:43Speaker 5: knocked down hard than anybody else.
- 6:45Speaker 2: You can't get up.
- 6:46Speaker 5: He rolled you so deep down in that ditch you
- 6:48Speaker 5: can't see over the edge. God can come get you
- 6:52Speaker 5: from no matter where you are. I'm telling you, man,
- 6:56Speaker 5: you ain't in no hold too deep for God. Johnson
- 7:00Speaker 5: to tell you that. Listen to me, you ain't in
- 7:02Speaker 5: no hole too deep for God. Steve Harvey can tell
- 7:05Speaker 5: you that you ain't in a hole too deep for God.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Tyler Perry can tell you that. I can name you
- 7:12Speaker 5: some people. Bishop Jake can tell you that. I could
- 7:15Speaker 5: tell you. Kenneth Olmah can tell you that. Bishop Kenneth
- 7:17Speaker 5: Omar I could tell you some people. Kirk Franklin can
- 7:20Speaker 5: tell you that. Donnie mcclerklin can tell you that. I
- 7:23Speaker 5: just know some people personally man that then been in
- 7:25Speaker 5: a hole. Joel Oldstein can tell you about it. I
- 7:29Speaker 5: know some people man been down, been in a hole
- 7:32Speaker 5: so deep.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I bet you. Paula Dean can tell you about it.
- 7:37Speaker 2: See that.
- 7:38Speaker 5: But you know what, then here we go see see
- 7:41Speaker 5: see you know, see we don't like to talk about
- 7:45Speaker 5: that because now we want everybody to pay extra hard
- 7:48Speaker 5: for some mistakes they made when clearly an excuse me
- 7:51Speaker 5: for being a new Christian. But there is a prayer
- 7:54Speaker 5: that I've been saying since I was a little bitty boy,
- 7:56Speaker 5: and it took me till I was a grown man
- 7:58Speaker 5: to understand it. Forgive us I trust passes as we
- 8:02Speaker 5: forgive those who trust pass against us. So see, it
- 8:05Speaker 5: ain't my job to hold nobody down, to keep my
- 8:09Speaker 5: knee on somebody's neck.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Who am I. I'm gonna need some forgiveness in a
- 8:13Speaker 2: second here, probably today.
- 8:16Speaker 5: See so all this you holding people down with the
- 8:19Speaker 5: way you feel inviout them, And she shouldn't have said this,
- 8:21Speaker 5: and she'll never get it.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I'll never support this again. Man, Get up, Get up
- 8:26Speaker 2: and get real you for real.
- 8:27Speaker 5: You think you ain't finnak need forgiveness real soon you
- 8:30Speaker 5: ain't finna make a diabolical mistake in your life.
- 8:33Speaker 2: You don't think you are.
- 8:34Speaker 5: I have thousands of them, probably gonna make a few
- 8:37Speaker 5: hundred more for I get up out of here. So
- 8:40Speaker 5: I've decided to be in a forgiving business because I
- 8:44Speaker 5: want God to forgive. My trust passes as I forgive
- 8:48Speaker 5: those who trustpass against me.
- 8:50Speaker 2: You understand. See excuse me for being a new Christian.
- 8:54Speaker 5: I get tired of talking to piston, to people man
- 8:58Speaker 5: supposed to be saved and talking about the dear Christian.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I don't want that type of religion.
- 9:01Speaker 6: Man.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I ain't in that no more. I ain't in that.
- 9:03Speaker 2: You can call me wrong if you want to say
- 9:05Speaker 2: it how you want to say.
- 9:06Speaker 5: I ain't in that no more. I ain't in all that.
- 9:08Speaker 5: You can feel how you want to feel about me.
- 9:09Speaker 5: But I got proof that God work in my life.
- 9:12Speaker 5: You know, I can't hardly get it out Sometime when
- 9:15Speaker 5: people ask me something about depot on the inside of me,
- 9:17Speaker 5: about my soul and how I used to be, and
- 9:20Speaker 5: my journey and my trip. Because people don't know the
- 9:22Speaker 5: trip I've been on or you may have been on
- 9:24Speaker 5: one worse than me. But you know what, you ain't
- 9:26Speaker 5: in a whole too deep. God can't get you out
- 9:28Speaker 5: of and I wish I want people to remember that. Man,
- 9:32Speaker 5: God is a redeemer, He the Great I am. So
- 9:36Speaker 5: if you ain't got nothing, now what you asking for?
- 9:39Speaker 5: You know you might not have nothing because you ain't
- 9:41Speaker 5: asking for nothing. Quit asking God to get you out
- 9:44Speaker 5: of debt and ask God for a life of abundance.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Then you take the money and you get out of debt.
- 9:49Speaker 5: You keep asking to get out of debt, you keep
- 9:51Speaker 5: being in debt to get out of Come on, man,
- 9:53Speaker 5: what you.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Asking God for? I'm just tripping today, that's all. I'm sorry.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I apologize.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening into the Steve Show.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your undivided attention. We
- 10:09Speaker 5: are here again. But by the grace of God, it
- 10:13Speaker 5: is an amazing gift that you have been given today.
- 10:15Speaker 5: Please please do not overlook that. Give him some thanks.
- 10:20Speaker 5: You know, here's a suggestion. If you've gotten up on
- 10:24Speaker 5: the wrong side of the bed, that's the phrase right,
- 10:27Speaker 5: meaning you kind of woke up your little off a
- 10:29Speaker 5: little bit. You ain't quite yourself. You in a little
- 10:32Speaker 5: dry mood. Do you know what the fix he is
- 10:35Speaker 5: for that gratitude? If you just starts, if you just
- 10:41Speaker 5: sit still with yourself, go somewhere for a minute, just
- 10:44Speaker 5: just get yourself two to three minutes quiet time, and
- 10:47Speaker 5: just start thanking him for everything you can think that
- 10:51Speaker 5: you have and then go on about your beings to
- 10:53Speaker 5: get your day right, because that'll help you.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Man.
- 10:56Speaker 5: But what happens with these off mornings. He's waking up
- 11:00Speaker 5: on the wrong side of the bed. It's that's a
- 11:02Speaker 5: barometer of your thoughts. So what that means is you've
- 11:05Speaker 5: been thinking some negative thoughts and you've let it permeate
- 11:08Speaker 5: your mindset, and now you're up and you're dealing with it.
- 11:11Speaker 5: First thing, get don't do that to yourself today. All right,

- 16:53Speaker 13: Right, Yeah, that's my wife.
- 16:56Speaker 11: Okay, yeah, I guess she's been been in the presence

- 18:07Speaker 11: get the right medication, man, that you know, I could
- 18:10Speaker 11: get back up to seventy five eighty percent healthy again.
- 18:13Speaker 11: You know what I'm saying. So you know, it's just
- 18:17Speaker 11: a rare type of thing that I need to try
- 18:20Speaker 11: and get. And I think that you might be I
- 18:25Speaker 11: think you can't help me. We will be strong, man,
- 18:27Speaker 11: be strong, just man, sit down, Man, be strong. Bro,
- 18:31Speaker 11: it's gonna be all right. I say it's gonna be
- 18:33Speaker 11: all right.
- 18:34Speaker 6: God is with you.
- 18:36Speaker 13: I'll pray for you. I do all I can. I
- 18:38Speaker 13: don't know well.
- 18:39Speaker 11: Actually, actually the doctor told me, man that for six months,
- 18:46Speaker 11: if I drunk breast milk, it will it will, it
- 18:49Speaker 11: will put enough calcium and stuff back into my bones
- 18:53Speaker 11: that would get me back up to seventy to eighty

- 27:12Speaker 9: And ninety five percent of the time she looks a
- 27:15Speaker 9: hot mess. Saturday, I told her she had to put
- 27:18Speaker 9: on clean clothes and comb her hair. She said, I
- 27:21Speaker 9: heard her feelings. Am I supposed to let her go
- 27:24Speaker 9: out looking like a hobo?
- 27:26Speaker 2: Wow? I've never had to say that to my wife.
- 27:30Speaker 5: I'm trying to home here, Yeah, I'm I'm trying to
- 27:33Speaker 5: figure out where you got to tell her to change
- 27:35Speaker 5: her clothes and cold for her hair. I'm trying to
- 27:37Speaker 5: figure out who you're married to. Oh, well, now you

- 29:02Speaker 9: This is from Vera in East Saint Louis. Vera writes,
- 29:07Speaker 9: my neighbor hates me because I dated her. I dated
- 29:10Speaker 9: her husband before she met him. I love telling her
- 29:14Speaker 9: that she's got my leftovers. Her husband asked me to
- 29:17Speaker 9: lie and say that we never had sex. Why would
- 29:20Speaker 9: he ask me to do that after all these years?
- 29:23Speaker 5: Why would you be throwing it up in this lady's
- 29:26Speaker 5: face after all these years? You got my leftovers?
- 29:28Speaker 3: What's wrong with you?
- 29:29Speaker 2: That's why she hates you. Viral and you know how
- 29:33Speaker 2: you offer your name got to be viral.
- 29:36Speaker 1: You would you have say anything about Abraham?
- 29:39Speaker 2: Abraham? Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, Abrahaad.
- 29:43Speaker 1: That was Israel. No, it was Abraham and Israel. And
- 29:48Speaker 1: now we got Vera.
- 29:49Speaker 2: So we got a whole bunch of people from the Bible,
- 29:52Speaker 2: the Bible today.
- 29:52Speaker 9: Yeah, Aprah Abra, I was surprised you didn't say anything
- 29:55Speaker 9: Abraham out of sacraficic that was the first one.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Well, you know, surely if you go all these is
- 30:02Speaker 5: from the email bag, right, yeah, yeah, if you go
- 30:06Speaker 5: go to the email bag and just pull stuff out
- 30:08Speaker 5: of Jerusalem.
- 30:09Speaker 2: We're gonna run into each other.
- 30:17Speaker 1: So vera.
- 30:18Speaker 2: They need to move.
- 30:20Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, she's a mess her neighbor. All right, you
- 30:23Speaker 9: got a line, Thank you, Bil. She got my leftover
- 30:27Speaker 9: coming up at the top of the hour, we have
- 30:29Speaker 9: some entertainment news for you.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show. Well, some
- 30:40Speaker 1: sad news.
- 30:41Speaker 9: Ray J is receiving prayers and well wishes after his
- 30:44Speaker 9: recent hospitalization, during which he revealed on social media that
- 30:49Speaker 9: twenty twenty seven is definitely a wrap for me. Ray
- 30:54Speaker 9: J believes years of heavy drinking and partying have negatively
- 30:58Speaker 9: impacted his heart, which he has publicly disclosed is operating
- 31:03Speaker 9: at twenty five percent capacity. Ray J has been hospitalized
- 31:07Speaker 9: on multiple occasions with pneumonia. The video ended with ray
- 31:11Speaker 9: J expressing gratitude to his family and his sister Brandy.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Uh wow, yeah, that's really sad.
- 31:20Speaker 8: Hard.
- 31:20Speaker 5: I don't have Rayj's number or anything, but ray J,
- 31:24Speaker 5: you cage. This was Yeah, man, you gotta get in
- 31:29Speaker 5: the dog fight now. I'm giving up. Twenty seven is
- 31:32Speaker 5: a wrap for me. My heart at twenty five percent bruh.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Bruh. There are things that you can get done, but
- 31:42Speaker 2: you're going to have to talk.
- 31:44Speaker 5: You're going to have some conversations with some holistic doctors
- 31:48Speaker 5: that does that practices unconventional medicine, because if you're down
- 31:53Speaker 5: there at that hospital and you're just accepting their diagnosis
- 31:57Speaker 5: from a hospital, you're making a serious mistake. Now, hospitals
- 32:02Speaker 5: serve great purposes. Please, that's not what I'm saying. Hospitals
- 32:06Speaker 5: are necessary. You've got to have doctors, yes, and in
- 32:11Speaker 5: a lot of cases, you gotta have that medicine. You
- 32:14Speaker 5: gotta have prescription mads. That's not what I'm saying, y'all.
- 32:20Speaker 5: But when you get a diagnosis, you need to get
- 32:23Speaker 5: two more. Don't listen to one person tell you one
- 32:28Speaker 5: thing about your help and you accept that as gospel.
- 32:31Speaker 5: You've got to get some other opinions here. Once again,
- 32:36Speaker 5: you need to talk to some people that practice non
- 32:39Speaker 5: conventional medicine or alternative medicines.
- 32:43Speaker 2: There are some things that they have discovered.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Through that that is not FDA approved or not accepted
- 32:49Speaker 5: by the general Medical society, that has proven and shown
- 32:54Speaker 5: to do some miraculous things for people in their life.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Wow, I've been in the Hospital of lot I can
- 33:03Speaker 2: talk to ray J myself. We can break people on
- 33:06Speaker 2: this show. Y'all need to go down, then call us man.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Twenty seven wrap.
- 33:15Speaker 7: They told me in eighty nine, I wasn't gonna make
- 33:17Speaker 7: it still here, okay, here you.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Go, yeah, ray J.
- 33:22Speaker 5: In all seriousness, man, I don't have never had this number.
- 33:25Speaker 5: I've only had one conversation with the cat.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Oh. God is able, man, that's all I can tell you.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Pardner's amazing. I just seen God do some stuff man,
- 33:36Speaker 2: that defies all medical logic.
- 33:40Speaker 10: What you can't get, you can't get a message and
- 33:43Speaker 10: then start mentally killing yourself because you can mentally start
- 33:47Speaker 10: taking yourself proud.
- 33:50Speaker 2: This twenty seven is a wrap for me. Yeah, that
- 33:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna said.
- 33:56Speaker 7: Don't put no period where God put a corn.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Okay, all right, what you say, Junior, your life is over.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Don't put no period? Well, God plays the common talk.
- 34:10Speaker 2: You know something, Junior, I ain't never asked you what
- 34:12Speaker 2: did you say? Twice? He said something you ain't didn't
- 34:21Speaker 2: quote in his grandma. That's what's up that. That's a
- 34:24Speaker 2: cold quote there, Yes, boy.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it.
- 34:29Speaker 7: God is able the entire time. He let me tell
- 34:33Speaker 7: you something, Ray J. If you listening, brother, tell you something.
- 34:35Speaker 7: You're talking to a man that didn't flatlined eight times.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Wo wow eight.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I'm still here. We didn't know that junior eight and
- 34:47Speaker 1: I'm still here.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Ray ain't over.
- 34:49Speaker 7: He ain't twenty twenty seven except that push it after
- 34:52Speaker 7: twenty fifty.
- 34:54Speaker 10: What we just start working this whole twenty twenty six.
- 34:59Speaker 10: Let's get don't track, baby, you don't track. The fight
- 35:03Speaker 10: is real. Yeah, it ain't like fighting the dog.
- 35:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna do that concern right now because the
- 35:12Speaker 5: cat ain't got but nine lives.
- 35:14Speaker 2: So the floodline got you. I know that flood line.
- 35:18Speaker 1: You know all kind of news, you.
- 35:21Speaker 5: Know, Yeah, you know, I don't really like, you know,
- 35:23Speaker 5: I need we need to look at it, like all
- 35:25Speaker 5: you got to look at alternative medicine.
- 35:27Speaker 2: You have to look at alternative thoughts.
- 35:30Speaker 9: You know.
- 35:31Speaker 3: I don't like.
- 35:31Speaker 5: I don't like, uh you know, you know, I like.
- 35:34Speaker 5: I don't say, uh what what you called cliche? I
- 35:38Speaker 5: don't say cliche things to people you know, you know
- 35:41Speaker 5: they're in a better place. Person grieving, you go up
- 35:44Speaker 5: there and say you know they're in a better place.
- 35:46Speaker 5: I don't like saying stuff like that. You know, you
- 35:50Speaker 5: know somebody sneeze at you, bless you.
- 35:53Speaker 2: I don't know why does we keep saying that, man,
- 35:56Speaker 2: because that's what you're saying with what why though? What's
- 36:01Speaker 2: wrong saying it? Yeah?
- 36:03Speaker 5: But I just want to know what's what's it does?
- 36:05Speaker 5: Because to day say, cause your heart stopped? Yeah, mm hmmm,
- 36:10Speaker 5: I got in trouble for the.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Wow, it got deep over here, didn't it.
- 36:17Speaker 6: Deep?
- 36:17Speaker 2: Sure?
- 36:18Speaker 1: Talking about life and death? Yeah it is, Well, we
- 36:21Speaker 1: know we know who.
- 36:22Speaker 2: On this show don't need to talk about life and death.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Can we let call or do that or something? Because
- 36:28Speaker 2: you you if y'all take yall, ray Rage ain't even
- 36:37Speaker 2: gonna be here tomorrow.
- 36:39Speaker 5: Let Shirley tell you. I'm telling you right now, y'all, Shirley,
- 36:44Speaker 5: Shirley should not be on the obituarate here slaughtering people.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Took she took out that lady on.
- 36:59Speaker 2: I'm talking about.
- 37:01Speaker 1: All right, Uh, we're moving.
- 37:07Speaker 9: Coming up in twenty minutes after Nicki Minaj says she
- 37:11Speaker 9: is President Trump's number one fan. We'll talk about that
- 37:15Speaker 9: right after this girl. Girl, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:28Speaker 8: Hey, it's Carla Farroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside.
- 37:31Speaker 8: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean and

- 37:59Speaker 9: She said she is President's Trump such President Trump's number
- 38:03Speaker 9: one fan. Nicki Minaj spoke about her support for President
- 38:06Speaker 9: Trump at the Trump Account Summit in Washington, d C.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Yesterday. She praised the president's plan. Yeah. Just yesterday she
- 38:17Speaker 1: praised you.
- 38:17Speaker 2: To double down. Oh the day with Kirk's wife. That
- 38:21Speaker 2: wasn't it.
- 38:21Speaker 1: This is a new one. That's something else. Yeah, this
- 38:24Speaker 1: is something else all the way in, bro, you don't
- 38:26Speaker 1: know that. Yeah.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:29Speaker 9: She praised the president's plan to create investment accounts for
- 38:33Speaker 9: US born babies, and she said the backlash she's received
- 38:36Speaker 9: for openly supporting him only motivates her, okay to talk
- 38:42Speaker 9: about her Trump Yeah.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But as a person of color, as a person of color,
- 38:49Speaker 2: as a person.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Of non color, When you can look at just the
- 38:56Speaker 5: immigration policies and listened to the rhetoric that's coming out
- 39:01Speaker 5: of his mouth, the vice president's mouth, the agent's mouth,
- 39:06Speaker 5: and see what's going on you, as a human, you
- 39:10Speaker 5: got to have a problem with this as a human.
- 39:13Speaker 2: You have to have it. Yeah.
- 39:15Speaker 9: She also said, the smear campaign against him is not
- 39:19Speaker 9: going to work.
- 39:20Speaker 15: Take a listen, you know the smear campaigns, it's not
- 39:24Speaker 15: going to work.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Okay.
- 39:26Speaker 15: He has a lot of force behind him and God
- 39:31Speaker 15: is protecting him.
- 39:33Speaker 5: Amen, girl, God, girl, girl, listen to me. What he
- 39:40Speaker 5: has behind him is a lot of powerful money. That's
- 39:46Speaker 5: what's behind him. And all you got to do is
- 39:50Speaker 5: with their policies and that's what's her his and y'all
- 39:54Speaker 5: listen to me. When you see a god constantly doing evil,
- 39:58Speaker 5: take God out of that. Bishop God, Ohma, taught me
- 40:07Speaker 5: one thing that I never forgot.
- 40:09Speaker 2: You know, people say, you know, how do you know.
- 40:11Speaker 5: If it's God just talking to you, or how do
- 40:13Speaker 5: you know if it's God through speaking through somebody. He
- 40:16Speaker 5: taught me the most valuable lesson I learned. He said,
- 40:18Speaker 5: God's voice has no sin in it.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Amen.
- 40:24Speaker 5: So if you got any pastor standing up in front
- 40:27Speaker 5: of you and the words that's coming out of his
- 40:30Speaker 5: mouth sounds sinful in any way, that ain't God.
- 40:35Speaker 2: That's just not God.
- 40:36Speaker 6: Man.
- 40:40Speaker 5: You got a Koran in your hand, you gotta Taro
- 40:43Speaker 5: in your hand, you got Bible in your hand, whatever
- 40:46Speaker 5: one you want. Show me in there where he's speaking evil,
- 40:52Speaker 5: where he spoke condoning sin. Just show me where he
- 40:56Speaker 5: condoned his sin.
- 41:00Speaker 1: You'll never see that.
- 41:02Speaker 4: No, no, this is sad.
- 41:06Speaker 2: NICKI all right, right now, don't put me in there.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Don't put me in there.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I'm coming up at thirty four minutes after.
- 41:14Speaker 9: We're gonna check your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven
- 41:17Speaker 9: twenty nine, Steve. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 41:21Speaker 9: Morning Show. All right, it is time now to check
- 41:28Speaker 9: your voicemail. Steve eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve is
- 41:31Speaker 9: the number you can call us and leave a message.
- 41:34Speaker 9: You just might hear your call on the air. Are
- 41:36Speaker 9: you ready, Steve Harvey all day? This is called This
- 41:41Speaker 9: caller is named Mark. He'd like your advice about doing
- 41:45Speaker 9: the right thing particul Yeah, man.
- 41:47Speaker 13: What's up, Steve Man, you know, Nate Mark Man. You know,
- 41:53Speaker 13: I was just calling to let you know, bro that
- 41:55Speaker 13: you know, I am a thirty seven year old you know,
- 41:58Speaker 13: father and all that, brother, you know, all that good stuff. Man,
- 42:02Speaker 13: you feel you man. But the reason why I see,
- 42:04Speaker 13: you know, I was calling because I just want to
- 42:06Speaker 13: ask you, man, like how do I stay on the
- 42:11Speaker 13: good to stay down for the good side? Man? Because
- 42:14Speaker 13: you know, like I try, and I try. You know,
- 42:17Speaker 13: I'm going to do the work and Dan, I'm trying to,
- 42:19Speaker 13: you know, you know, just be a good all around person.
- 42:22Speaker 13: But but it's like that's not getting me to the
- 42:25Speaker 13: point where I need to be financially and mentally.
- 42:28Speaker 10: Man.
- 42:29Speaker 11: Real man.
- 42:30Speaker 13: You know, like as soon as I go do something,
- 42:32Speaker 13: you know, something bad or something you know I don't
- 42:35Speaker 13: supposed to be doing, then it felt like I get
- 42:37Speaker 13: right to where you know, well, I get that closer
- 42:40Speaker 13: to where I where I need to be.
- 42:42Speaker 9: Man.
- 42:42Speaker 13: But you know, I don't want to keep doing it
- 42:45Speaker 13: like that because I know the wrong and everything, man,
- 42:47Speaker 13: and I don't want to go back to good test thing.
- 42:49Speaker 13: But I just want to know about how do I
- 42:51Speaker 13: stay down for the good side?
- 42:53Speaker 11: Man.
- 42:54Speaker 13: It's just man, ain't it ain't working for me, Man,
- 42:57Speaker 13: it ain't.
- 42:57Speaker 11: Man.
- 42:58Speaker 13: I don't know if you probably live a life. I
- 43:01Speaker 13: know you said you've been some things, but you know
- 43:04Speaker 13: I'm out there, man, but you know, just let me
- 43:07Speaker 13: know something. O. G please if you get this, man, all.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Right, I got it.
- 43:11Speaker 5: Man, Hey, brother, listen to me. That's the battle in
- 43:15Speaker 5: all of us. In some form of fashion. You're trying
- 43:19Speaker 5: to stay out them streets. Some dudes trying to stay
- 43:22Speaker 5: out to strip clubs. Some dudes trying to stay out
- 43:27Speaker 5: the other chick's house. Some dude trying to stay off drugs.
- 43:32Speaker 5: Some dude is in here battling against all types of
- 43:36Speaker 5: everybody faced with something. There's not a man living mark
- 43:41Speaker 5: that gets to escape temptation.
- 43:43Speaker 2: You just is coming. It is coming, So stop beating
- 43:48Speaker 2: yourself up about that. Now.
- 43:50Speaker 5: You said a couple of things, I'm gonna talk to
- 43:52Speaker 5: them out of order. You said you don't want to
- 43:54Speaker 5: go back to the penitentiary. First thing you got to
- 43:57Speaker 5: do it is not go back to the thing that
- 43:59Speaker 5: put you there. That's a one thousand percent show decision
- 44:04Speaker 5: you have to make. If you don't want to go back,
- 44:06Speaker 5: then you can't go back to the thing that sent
- 44:08Speaker 5: you that. Now, doing the right thing is hard, but
- 44:14Speaker 5: when you do the wrong thing, the consequences for that
- 44:17Speaker 5: is hard too. See doing the right thing in your case, Mark,
- 44:21Speaker 5: trying to work a good job, trying to go home
- 44:24Speaker 5: take care of your family.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Is slow, so it's hard.
- 44:28Speaker 5: But if you run out there to get that fast
- 44:30Speaker 5: money and they bust you, it's going to be hard too.
- 44:35Speaker 5: I'd rather have see now listen to me.
- 44:37Speaker 9: Mark.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Let me just say this as a og. Life is hard.
- 44:41Speaker 2: It really is bro for all of us.
- 44:43Speaker 5: It ain't no easy street. It's just filled with challenges
- 44:48Speaker 5: and life is hard. But you got to accept you
- 44:50Speaker 5: got to pick your hard Mark. It's hard to go
- 44:54Speaker 5: to the gym and get in shape and follow that
- 44:57Speaker 5: ritual every day, but it's hard to be fat person
- 45:00Speaker 5: who though See it's hard.
- 45:02Speaker 2: It's hard to.
- 45:03Speaker 5: Open a business and try to become an entrepreneur and
- 45:06Speaker 5: go to the bank and get a loan or find
- 45:09Speaker 5: some people to help support you.
- 45:10Speaker 2: That's hard. But it's hard going down to a job
- 45:13Speaker 2: that you hate every morning, that's hard too.
- 45:17Speaker 5: It's hard to do the right thing, and then you
- 45:20Speaker 5: got the devil who is on your shoulder, and you
- 45:24Speaker 5: got God on your other shoulder, and that devil is
- 45:28Speaker 5: whispering to you because the devil got one mission in life.
- 45:31Speaker 5: The devil's job is to rob you of your destiny.
- 45:35Speaker 5: So he is going to whisper to what seems like
- 45:38Speaker 5: the easy thing, the best thing to do. Hey, Mark,
- 45:42Speaker 5: let me tell you something, Man, You got to talk
- 45:44Speaker 5: to God and get some strength. You got to ask
- 45:48Speaker 5: God to help you, just like you said it to me.
- 45:51Speaker 5: Just say it to God. Hey God, I'm out here, man,
- 45:53Speaker 5: I'm tripping a little bit right now. You know I'm
- 45:56Speaker 5: leaning the wrong way. Can you straighten me? Just help
- 46:00Speaker 5: me fix the mindset that I need to stay on
- 46:02Speaker 5: the straight path. That's the best thing I can give
- 46:05Speaker 5: you right now, Mark, But hit me back if you
- 46:08Speaker 5: need to talk again.
- 46:09Speaker 6: Bro.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yeah, great advice, Steve, great advice.
- 46:13Speaker 9: All right, thank you, Mark. Coming up next, it is
- 46:16Speaker 9: the Nephew and Today's Prank phone Call. Right after this,
- 46:19Speaker 9: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 46:29Speaker 9: Right about four minutes after, it's my Strawberry letter for today,
- 46:32Speaker 9: and the subject is I'm in love by default. I'm
- 46:37Speaker 9: in love by default it happens. Yeah, didn't mean it
- 46:41Speaker 9: just happened.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Yep.
- 46:43Speaker 9: We'll get into it, find out exactly what it's all
- 46:45Speaker 9: about in just a few because the nephew is here.
- 46:48Speaker 1: With today's prank. Phone call, nephew, what you got for us?
- 46:52Speaker 2: What they do? All right? Here we go? Excuse me,
- 46:57Speaker 2: I just felt it right then. I'm sorry. Okay, I'm sorry.
- 47:00Speaker 13: What they do?
- 47:01Speaker 2: They smile in your face?
- 47:03Speaker 1: Okay, I'm trying to take them.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Back, sang.
- 47:07Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:08Speaker 10: All right, here's a prank. Prank is super Bowl party.

- 48:50Speaker 6: And you I do it every year, man, I do
- 48:52Speaker 6: it every year. All the neighbors come over, everybody comes over.
- 48:54Speaker 6: We have a good time. So yeah, we're gonna be

- 49:34Speaker 6: my party. Man, ain't know everybody in the neighborhood don't
- 49:36Speaker 6: come because I ain't been there. That's because you ain't
- 49:39Speaker 6: get an invite. You because you hater. That's why you
- 49:44Speaker 6: ain't getting no invite. I said, you're a hater. That's
- 49:48Speaker 6: why I'm not. No, I ain't no hater. I'm just
- 49:50Speaker 6: telling you your stumpers out of control.
- 49:52Speaker 11: Man.
- 49:53Speaker 6: You gotta tolle that you got a good control of
- 49:55Speaker 6: your party. You don't have control of it. Man, you're
- 49:57Speaker 6: telling me how to control my control. Months started. Let's
- 50:01Speaker 6: start right there. All right, you ain't calling nobody. Believe
- 50:04Speaker 6: you ain't doing none of that.
- 50:05Speaker 11: We ain't doing Oh yeah, yeah, hold on, You ain't
- 50:08Speaker 11: telling me what I'm not gonna do. All right? You
- 50:10Speaker 11: the one, you, the one on the loudst party, You
- 50:14Speaker 11: the one got people parking, people driveway.
- 50:16Speaker 6: And yeah, that's right. If it happens here, I'm calling
- 50:19Speaker 6: the police. You ain't calling nobody. You ain't calling it
- 50:22Speaker 6: that person. I'm gonna tell you that right now. Okay,
- 50:25Speaker 6: So how are you finna stop me? How you finna
- 50:28Speaker 6: stop me from making sure I got peace and on
- 50:30Speaker 6: my street at my house.
- 50:32Speaker 11: I'm gonna stop you with a size twelve right up
- 50:34Speaker 11: your Okay, Okay, Hey, I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna
- 50:38Speaker 11: tell you again. Control your party, get the noise level
- 50:41Speaker 11: where it ain't disturbing everybody in the neighborhood, and stop
- 50:45Speaker 11: people from parking and people's driveway.
- 50:47Speaker 6: And I'm gonna tell you again, I'm about to have
- 50:50Speaker 6: a party with my size twelve right up in your Hey, dude,
- 50:56Speaker 6: it is what it is. It is what I look
- 50:58Speaker 6: for the police to be at your party. I look
- 51:02Speaker 6: for the people to look for the police to be
- 51:03Speaker 6: at the party because evidently you don't respect your neighbors.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Is what it is.
- 51:07Speaker 6: No, you know what, I do respect my neighbors because
- 51:10Speaker 6: all the neighbors in the neighborhood come except for you,
- 51:12Speaker 6: because we already know you're on You're on that list.
- 51:15Speaker 6: Yet I hate neighbor to be calling tow trucks and
- 51:18Speaker 6: you know, complaining about leaves and all that. I know
- 51:23Speaker 6: exactly who you are. That's why you never got an
- 51:25Speaker 6: invite to the party, because.
- 51:26Speaker 11: You do not even know me. Dude, you use the
- 51:30Speaker 11: idea who I am use a buster? Use that? Okay,
- 51:34Speaker 11: all right, I'm but I'm gonna be the buster that's
- 51:36Speaker 11: calling popoles to be over there on Sunday.
- 51:39Speaker 6: Listen, snitch snitching, that's an I t h. That ain't
- 51:45Speaker 6: that ain't That's not snitching. No, it's controlling the atmosphere
- 51:50Speaker 6: and stopping it from being out of control. You are
- 51:54Speaker 6: especially let me ask you something.
- 51:56Speaker 11: So so you think people that's going to your party
- 51:58Speaker 11: ought to be able to park in my drive.
- 52:00Speaker 6: Listen, man, I'm gonna be real with you. I'm sorry
- 52:03Speaker 6: if anybody may partner your driveway, but for you to
- 52:06Speaker 6: just knock on the door and say, hey, excuse me.
- 52:08Speaker 6: You know I'm trying to get out, you know whatever, whatever,
- 52:11Speaker 6: I make sure I put it on the fire that
- 52:14Speaker 6: we don't want people blocking driveways. But you know, obviously
- 52:17Speaker 6: it happened, and I apologize for that. But that's no
- 52:19Speaker 6: reason for you to be going on extra crazy and
- 52:22Speaker 6: going to extra amount talking about I'm calling the police.
- 52:25Speaker 6: You ain't calling nobody, man. Shut up. That right there
- 52:28Speaker 6: is what's wrong with black people today. Instead of coming
- 52:31Speaker 6: to me like a man, you coming to me like
- 52:33Speaker 6: a coward, instead of coming to me like a man
- 52:35Speaker 6: and saying listen, because the first thing you're talking about, oh,
- 52:39Speaker 6: I'm gonna call the police, and then when the police
- 52:42Speaker 6: come and beat your black mass up, you're gonna be
- 52:44Speaker 6: on the other line complain and talk about what to me.
- 52:48Speaker 6: You want to be sure and doing this and that,
- 52:50Speaker 6: don't you know? That's how man. So as black people,
- 52:54Speaker 6: we got to learn how to stick together and come together.
- 52:56Speaker 6: If you want to come to the party, it sounds
- 52:58Speaker 6: like you are silent, hey on the loaf for real,
- 53:00Speaker 6: like you really want to come to the party, but
- 53:02Speaker 6: because you're the only person in the neighborhood that hasn't
- 53:04Speaker 6: been invited. Now you're talking about calling the police. I
- 53:08Speaker 6: know exactly who you are. Who am I you that
- 53:11Speaker 6: dude that live up two three streets over and you
- 53:14Speaker 6: drive that red pickup truck with the flannel shirts and
- 53:17Speaker 6: all of that. You're the only person in the hood
- 53:20Speaker 6: driving a red pickup truck in the flannel what's wrong
- 53:22Speaker 6: with you?
- 53:23Speaker 11: Man?
- 53:23Speaker 6: That's why you ain't getting no invite. And on top
- 53:25Speaker 6: of that, all those dogs you got running around in
- 53:27Speaker 6: your backyard, you need to clean them up. They'd be
- 53:29Speaker 6: back there and and everything, and then the other neighbors

- 56:50Speaker 9: Thank you, nephew. Subject I'm in love by default. Dear
- 56:55Speaker 9: Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty nine year old single female
- 56:58Speaker 9: and I'm being pressured to be with a man that
- 57:01Speaker 9: saved my life. I had a crazy accident and my
- 57:05Speaker 9: suv flipped twice after I swerved to avoid hitting a
- 57:09Speaker 9: small dog. I was shaken up and I had pieces
- 57:12Speaker 9: of glass in my arm, but I was fine. I
- 57:16Speaker 9: was crawling from the.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Window of the suv when it started smoking.
- 57:20Speaker 9: I couldn't see what was going on because of the smoke,
- 57:23Speaker 9: but a nice guy had come over to help me
- 57:26Speaker 9: get out. Minutes later, a fire started under the hood
- 57:30Speaker 9: of my suv. Everyone started praising the man for saving
- 57:34Speaker 9: my life. The man sat with me until the ambulance came,
- 57:38Speaker 9: and he drove behind the ambulance. I couldn't believe he
- 57:41Speaker 9: was being so sweet. I didn't have my purse when
- 57:44Speaker 9: I got to the er, but he did. He had
- 57:47Speaker 9: grabbed it out of my vehicle for me. He was
- 57:50Speaker 9: basically like my guardian angel. We exchanged numbers and he
- 57:55Speaker 9: continued to check on me for a few days. After
- 57:58Speaker 9: I got out of the hospital. I got worried after
- 58:01Speaker 9: he sent flowers to my house. He sent me flowers
- 58:04Speaker 9: to my house. I texted him and called him a stalker.
- 58:08Speaker 9: He called to explain himself. He apologized for scaring me
- 58:12Speaker 9: and said he got my address from my driver's license.
- 58:15Speaker 9: He said that he's a loner and it's hard for
- 58:17Speaker 9: him to meet new people because he's shy. I researched
- 58:21Speaker 9: him and we have a lot of mutual friends and
- 58:24Speaker 9: we went to the same college, so I'm no longer
- 58:27Speaker 9: afraid of him being a serial killer. Everybody knows the
- 58:31Speaker 9: story of how we met, and they all think that
- 58:33Speaker 9: God sent this man to me. I'm in love by default,
- 58:37Speaker 9: and I feel pressured to stay with him. What if
- 58:41Speaker 9: he's not heaven sent? Would I be wrong to dump him?
- 58:45Speaker 11: What?
- 58:46Speaker 1: Okay, who's pressuring you to be with this man?
- 58:50Speaker 8: First?
- 58:50Speaker 9: Let me say this. You are blessed to be alive,
- 58:53Speaker 9: for sure, and thank God this man was there to
- 58:56Speaker 9: help you. This was a real life miracle and life.
- 59:00Speaker 9: Last time I checked. Only God can do miracles. You
- 59:04Speaker 9: could have died for real. This was a serious, serious accident,
- 59:07Speaker 9: and you should be very grateful. I'm not hearing gratitude, though.
- 59:12Speaker 1: I get it if you don't want to marry this
- 59:13Speaker 1: man or be in a relationship with him.
- 59:15Speaker 9: But you've done the research, and you know quite a bit,
- 59:19Speaker 9: really a whole lot, about this guy, and you actually
- 59:23Speaker 9: have a lot of things in common. You said you're
- 59:24Speaker 9: not scared anymore, and everyone around you is grateful to
- 59:28Speaker 9: him for helping you, and said God must have sent
- 59:31Speaker 9: him to you. And the man is still around. I
- 59:34Speaker 9: mean he's calling you, he went to the hospital with you,
- 59:38Speaker 9: he's been checking on you, he sent you flowers. I
- 59:42Speaker 9: don't think you know what you want here. I don't
- 59:44Speaker 9: think so, because everyone sees him but you. I think
- 59:48Speaker 9: you're just unsure about how you're supposed to feel about
- 59:52Speaker 9: this guy. And that's okay, that's okay, but please don't
- 59:56Speaker 9: let if you're feeling guilt or any sort of obligation,
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: don't let that make you feel like you have to
- 1:00:02Speaker 9: be with this man, because listen, if you don't want
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: this nice man, as you called him, this kind man,
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: this gentleman, this thoughtful man, this strong man, this considerate man,
- 1:00:13Speaker 9: this man you yourself called guardian Angel.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Well, it's simple. If you don't want them, let him go.
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: That's it.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: No pressure.
- 1:00:21Speaker 9: But personally, I think you should allow yourself to explore
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: this situation because what do you have to lose?
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: Steve, all right, I'm gonna just get to it right quick.
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: I'm gonna tell you something something wrong with this lady.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: There are some things wrong with this lady. I've seen
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: people like this before, and I'm gonna help you understand
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: what I see. When I read the letter, I'm in
- 1:00:43Speaker 5: love by default. It's a tight let letter. After having
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: heard Shirley's response and listen to this whole letter, this
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: lady say, did Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty nine year
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: old single female.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: Oh I know that. Oh I know that. And after
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: reading this letter, it is clear why you are single. Lady.
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: You you all over the place, and I mean you
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: don't I don't know if you assess information, well, I
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: don't know if you you don't know how to process
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: stuff at this point, what is it recess? Assess what
- 1:01:21Speaker 5: you're saying? I don't know what you're doing. But what's
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: the matter with you? I'm being pressured, uh to be
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: with a man that saved my life.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: What did you hear it?
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: I'm being pressured to be with a man that saved
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: my life. That's that's that sounds crazy, But Ritta, I
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: had a crazy accident. Now listen to this, y'all.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: And my s U V flipped twice after I swerve
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: to avoid.
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: Hitting a small dog. Now right here, the title of
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: this letter would be different for me.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: And what would it be?
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: They man talking about I smashed they Dog's that's what
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: this title will be. I'm not swarthing. I'm gonna just
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: tell you right now. I'm not swerving and flip my
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: truck over.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Twice for this door focus.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Get back to the letter.
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: Everybody gonna learn the less. I'm not flipping my call anyway.
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: Let's just get off of that. Yeah, I swear to
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: avoid hitting a small dog.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: It's not about you. Go ahead. The car flipped twice?
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: What is what swearing?
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: What is his dog?
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: There? No?
- 1:02:29Speaker 11: No?
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Okay, alight, here we go. I was shaking. Now listen
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: to this.
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: I was shaking up and I had pieces of glass
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: in my arm, but I was fine. What, lady, you
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: flipped the car twice. I had pieces of glass in
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: my but I was fine. Then I was crawling out
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: the window of the suv when it started smoking.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Lady, you ain't all right.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna come back.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: And I'm gonna show you that there's just some roll
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: with this. Late, I'm just all right.
- 1:03:03Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:03:04Speaker 9: We're gonna have part two of your response coming up
- 1:03:06Speaker 9: at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter
- 1:03:10Speaker 9: title is I'm in love by default. We'll get back
- 1:03:14Speaker 9: into it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: Hey, it's Carla Ferroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside.
- 1:03:27Speaker 8: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean in
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: half the time? Make the swap to Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: The all in one cleaning Hero has a built in
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: solution that breaks down dirt and grime like magic. With

- 1:03:51Speaker 8: with the Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:03:53Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: The subject is I'm in love by default, y'all.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you something.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: I got to try to see if I can get
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: to the end of this letter, because it's something wrong
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: with this lady right here. And it's just a lady
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: that she doesn't know how to process information, or she
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: don't know how to analyze. She's not analytical skills. Something's
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: wrong with her because she's off to me. I'm a
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: thirty nine year old single female. And as I read
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: this letter, you gonna see why she's single. You'll see
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: exactly why she's single. I'm being pressured to be with
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: a man that saved my life.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: All Right, here we go.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: I had a crazy accident and my SUV flipped twice
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: after I swerve to avoid hitting a small dog. Now,
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: there are several titles that this letter could be. I've
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: come up with another title. My first title was they
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: mad at Me. That would be the title of this letter.
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: Or the Another title would be Steve. How do you
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: call me on the email bag and say Steve and
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: we press and stuff like that. Okay, well, quit right
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: there putting my name in the let sir, I swear
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: to avoid hitting the small dog. I was shaking up
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: and I had pieces of glass in my arm, but
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: I was fine. What lady, what are you talking about?
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: Then she said, I was crawling. I was crawling from
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: the window of the s u V started smoking. You're
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: carting there on fire. You done had to crawl out
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: the window. You upside down, You got.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Glass in your arm. You was fine.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: Something wrong with this lady. When it started smoking. I
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: couldn't see what was going on because of the smoke,
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: but you was fine.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: You don't y'all understand it.
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: But a nice guy had come over and helped me
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: to get out. Minutes later, a fire started under the
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: hood and the ssue of my Everyone started praising a
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: man for saving my life. That's because that's what he did.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Because that's what he did. Then he sat with me
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: till the ambulance came, and he drove behind the ambulance.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: I couldn't believe he was being so sweet. This is
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: a good dude, This is a good human being. I
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: didn't have my purse when I got to the er,
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: but he did, you mean tell me? He then crawl
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: back up in there and you got your purse. You
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: know how many people would have been at the stove
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: with your purse.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Back in the day.
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: I'm at the AE t IM trying to figure out
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: your pin number. You see how this could have went anyway?
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: He was basically like my guardian Angel. We exchanged numbers.
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: He continued to check on me for a few days
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: after I got out the hospital.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Wit what lady, You was in the hospital for a few.
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: Days, glass in your arm, crawling out your window, car smoking,
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: fire broke out, man, bring your purse to the hospital.
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: All this hit you?
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: I got I got worried after he sent flowers to
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: my house. See something wrong with this lady.
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: You wasn't worried when you was crawling out that window
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: under that car that had flipped over. But now you
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: got some flowers sent to the house, and your Nettie
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: is weary.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: I text him and called him a stalker. The dude
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: that saved your life, that then followed you to the hospital,
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: that recovered your purse, that stayed with you, sent you flowers,
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: checked on you. You didn't text the man and called

- 1:08:01Speaker 5: address from your driver's license.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: He told you that.
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: He said that he's a loner. It's hard for him
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: to meet new people because he's shy. I researched him
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: and we had a lot of mutual friends. We went
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: to the same college, so I no longer was afraid
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: of him being a serial killer. Okay, that's well, that
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: was smart. Everybody knows the story of how we met,
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: and they think that God sent this man to me.
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: I'm in love by default, and I feel pressure to

- 1:08:49Speaker 5: to you. I don't know what he saw in you
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: while you crawling out that window.

- 1:12:44Speaker 10: Man.
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: It's like they're keeping Barry Bonds out of the Hall

- 1:12:50Speaker 5: of the Hall of Fame Baseball.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: It's crazy, It's ludicrous. Man, these cats right here.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: And the people can even do what you do.
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: Hm hmm.
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: But I have no.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Concern over Bill Belichick though. I'm just gonna say that.

- 1:13:19Speaker 2: That's pretty ballot.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: What does that mean he is?
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: That means his first time going on? He should he
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: should go in now he got wait till next year
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: to be voted in again.
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: Oh wow, bro, you know how many great players did
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: not make it in the first ballot?
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: Hundreds hundreds of I'm talking about great players.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Man had to wait for one vote?
- 1:13:40Speaker 9: Wow?

- 1:13:55Speaker 9: just upset coming up at the top of the hour.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Thank you Jr.
- 1:14:00Speaker 9: A woman on social media needs some advice. She says,
- 1:14:02Speaker 9: why am I doing most of the housework. We'll talk
- 1:14:06Speaker 9: about it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:14:09Speaker 9: Harvey Morning Show. This is from Regina on Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:14:17Speaker 9: She says, for nearly ten years when our kids were young,
- 1:14:20Speaker 9: I stayed home with them while my husband was the
- 1:14:23Speaker 9: primary breadwinner, and I handled almost all of the housework
- 1:14:27Speaker 9: and the meals. However, I went back to work, and
- 1:14:30Speaker 9: recently my husband was laid off, and while he's job searching,
- 1:14:34Speaker 9: he's home most days and still expects me to come
- 1:14:37Speaker 9: home and cook and clean and spend weekends catching up
- 1:14:40Speaker 9: on laundry. I can't understand why he doesn't see how
- 1:14:43Speaker 9: unfair this is. How do I get him to do
- 1:14:46Speaker 9: more around the house without having to constantly nag him?
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: What don't you do?
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: No, he gonna get tired of going in inn ain't nutneat.
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: He gonna get tired of going in there and the
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: dishes all up in that seat. Yeah, sometimes you got
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: to show your value. I'm man, you gotta contribute.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, go straight.
- 1:15:10Speaker 9: No more cooking, no more cleaning. All right, we have
- 1:15:14Speaker 9: time for another one. This is from Mac on Steve
- 1:15:17Speaker 9: Harvey FM. Max says, I've been working out consistently for
- 1:15:22Speaker 9: almost twenty years. But now I'm in my early fifties,
- 1:15:25Speaker 9: and even though I'm pretty healthy and lift weights a
- 1:15:28Speaker 9: couple of times a week, I'm sore for almost a
- 1:15:31Speaker 9: full week afterwards every single time. It's not extreme pain,
- 1:15:36Speaker 9: just that deep muscle soreness that makes me feel like
- 1:15:39Speaker 9: I shouldn't train again.
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: Yet.
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: I don't remember it being like this when I was younger,
- 1:15:44Speaker 9: and it's starting to make me wonder if I'm overdoing
- 1:15:47Speaker 9: it or doing something wrong.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: Is this just normal aging? Or should I change how
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: I train?
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: Well, you have to change how you train as you
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: get older. Your body don't do what he used to do.
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: Now I'm a little fused, though. I'm weird because because
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: you've been saying you've been training constantly all these years,
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: but every time you train, you so for a week.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: Waitmen, man, do you train once a week and then
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: go down? That ain't stopping? Yeah? You stopping man.
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: You're not giving your body chance to acclimate to anything.
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: And you know an that lactic acid build up in
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: your muscle.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Man, you I don't know.
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: I don't know what you're doing, bro, because you it
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: used to didn't do this you know how much stuff
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: you used to didn't do this in my life.
- 1:16:30Speaker 9: He says, he's been worrying out consistently for almost twenty years.
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: So while you're still getting sore more a week after
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: wondering if you did too much. If you're constantly working out, man,
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: and your body, your body should have adjusted this. You're
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: leaving something out of the story. Dog, you're not working
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: out consistently if you keep getting sore. Yeah, the body
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: is an amazing machinery.
- 1:16:57Speaker 11: Man.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: I've talked to some a lot of people about this.
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: I ain't in great shape at all, but I do
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: understand from paying trainers and nutritus and all this here,
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: how the body works. It adapts amazingly. Yeah, you probably
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: ain't overdoing it. I don't think you as consistent as
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: you say you are.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: He should do it more more.
- 1:17:21Speaker 10: Stop stop y'all stop lying when y'all right in here.
- 1:17:24Speaker 10: So so, yeah, we're gonna help you. You're gonna quit
- 1:17:27Speaker 10: lying because you're lying because you're right in here. Two
- 1:17:30Speaker 10: of us on this show. The dudes is over fifty.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, he's in his early fifties.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: This guy, he says, day, I've.
- 1:17:39Speaker 10: Been all that and you're talking to two people who
- 1:17:42Speaker 10: start and stop and start all the time.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: So, yeah, man, there ain't no consistency here. Am I
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: overdoing it?
- 1:17:53Speaker 11: Now?
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: He gonna make it look like he all that.
- 1:17:55Speaker 5: You ain't overdoing nothing, dog, you're underdoing it and you're
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: not consistent.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: And that's what y'all. And don't call us no more
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: with just foolishes. Me and Tommy ain't riding with you.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: He's probably fine fine, Oh good looking in shape.

- 1:18:16Speaker 14: man that's they're mad.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you're talking. He all the people right out of shape, sloppy.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: This dude ain't fine.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: It's not fine?
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: What fine? Dude?
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: How could he not be fine constently for almost twenty years? No,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I'm fine, dude. You know tom on, I'm so so.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: I'm fetch slapping dude.
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: I'm so so.
- 1:18:47Speaker 9: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. There's
- 1:18:50Speaker 9: nobody like us coming up.

- 1:25:47Speaker 13: am a thirty seven year old you know father and
- 1:25:50Speaker 13: all that mother, you know, all that pitched uff man,
- 1:25:53Speaker 13: you feel you man. But the reason why you know,
- 1:25:56Speaker 13: I was calling because I just want to ask you, man, like,
- 1:25:58Speaker 13: what do I stay on the good to stay down
- 1:26:03Speaker 13: for the good side? Man? Because you know, like I try,
- 1:26:06Speaker 13: and I try. You know, I'm going to do the
- 1:26:09Speaker 13: working thing. I'm trying to, you know, you know, just
- 1:26:12Speaker 13: be a good all around person. But but it's like
- 1:26:15Speaker 13: that's not get me to the point where I need
- 1:26:17Speaker 13: to be financially and mentally man, for real, man, you know,
- 1:26:22Speaker 13: like as soon as I go do something you know,
- 1:26:24Speaker 13: something bad or something you know I don't supposed to
- 1:26:26Speaker 13: be doing, then it felt like I get right to
- 1:26:29Speaker 13: where you know, well, I get that closer to where
- 1:26:32Speaker 13: I where I need to be.
- 1:26:33Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:26:33Speaker 13: But you know, I don't want to keep doing it
- 1:26:36Speaker 13: like that because I know it's wrong and everything, man,
- 1:26:38Speaker 13: and I don't want to go back to the good
- 1:26:39Speaker 13: atention thing. But I just want to know how do
- 1:26:42Speaker 13: I stay down for the good side, man, because it's just, man,
- 1:26:46Speaker 13: it ain't it ain't working for me, man, It ain't.
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:26:49Speaker 13: I don't know if you probably live a life out
- 1:26:51Speaker 13: of live because I'm I know you said you've been
- 1:26:53Speaker 13: through some things, but I but I you know, I'm
- 1:26:56Speaker 13: out there, man, but you know, just let me know
- 1:26:59Speaker 13: something about gee. Please if you get this.
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, see, like this call really touched me, man, it
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: really did.
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: So these are my clothing remarks because you know, guys
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: like that man, thirty seven year old, ain't got no
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: real positive male role model in their life.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: I get a lot of calls like this man from
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: people saying, hey, Steve, can you talk to this guy? So, Mark,
- 1:27:23Speaker 5: I appreciate you reaching out to me man, showing me
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: that level of respect. So I'm taking this call really seriously.
- 1:27:31Speaker 5: I tried addressing it early in the show, but I
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: wanted to take more time with it.
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: He says.
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: He describes himself as a thirty year old father, a
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: thirty seven year old father, you know, and all that
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: good stuff, and he trying to stay down but he
- 1:27:53Speaker 5: having a hard time. How do you stay down for
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: the good side was his exact quote. How do you
- 1:28:01Speaker 5: stay down for the good side? See, because what happens, Mark,
- 1:28:06Speaker 5: is temptation is in everybody's life. There's not a single
- 1:28:10Speaker 5: person that survives temptation. The only person ever been on
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: the face of this earth that survived temptation, Holy was
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: Jesus Christ. There was none before or after him, period.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: That's it.
- 1:28:26Speaker 5: So you have to understand, man, that this is a
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: part of the life because you have positive and negative,
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: you have good and evil. You got God on one
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: shoulder talking in your ear. You got the devil on
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: the other side talking in your ear. And the devil's
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: job is to rob you of your destiny. God wants
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: you to do the right thing. And you say you
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: because you said you want to try to do the
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: right thing, because you want.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: To be a good man and all that. How do
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: you stay down when it seems so.
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: Easy to revert back to what you can do, Like
- 1:29:03Speaker 5: if you go do something wrong, it seems to get
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: you that quicker than doing the right thing. Okay, so
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: that's the difference between slanging and working the job. Now,
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: I got slanging this fast money. But everything come with consequences.
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: And that's what the devil don't want to tell you
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: all he all up and you see, the devil's job
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: is to rob you of your destiny.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: So why are you slinging?
- 1:29:27Speaker 6: Man?
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: Look how we got that quick money? But remind yourself
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: of what you already know. You said you don't want
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: to go back to the penitentiary. But the devil want
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: you back in the penitentiary. A lot of stuff happened
- 1:29:42Speaker 5: like that man to rob you of your destiny. Your
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: destiny right now, Mark is to be a good father.
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: So right now, what I'm going to suggest to you
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: is you need to find the right form of motivation.
- 1:29:56Speaker 5: See what keeps me straight, Mark, is because outne may
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: it more than me. What keep Tommy straight is Tommy
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: that made it more than him. What keeps Junior straight
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: is he had made it about more than him. See,
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: if it's about me, I'd have done a lot of
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: stuff sideways if it was just about me. But it
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: ain't about me no more. Your father, Mark, you got
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: some people counting on you, depending on you. I recently
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: spoke at a penitentiary in Atlanta Federal Penitentiary. These men
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: in there were heartbroken because they can't be the father
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: to their child that they know they child need. And
- 1:30:40Speaker 5: a lot of them said the reason I'm here today
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: was because I didn't have no father in my life
- 1:30:44Speaker 5: helping me with some of these decisions. You got to
- 1:30:47Speaker 5: look at you new motivation, Mark, It ain't about just you.
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: If you go back to prison, what happens to your child,
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: what happens to your family? What you put your mother through,
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: your grandmother through? What you gonna send that child through?
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: When? When? When?
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: On school day, Daddy's day, or daddy daughter dadd's what?
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: They don't get to take theirs because you locked up.
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: If if most of these men that's locked up today
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: had the right had to had the right motivation, a
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: lot of them wouldn't be locked up today. Ask God
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: to keep showing you the way. Ask God to strengthen you.
- 1:31:27Speaker 5: Keep working that job. It's hard to work a job, man,
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: yeah it is, but it's way harder to go to prison.
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: I'd rather have a job at a drive through window
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: to be standing there looking out a window that's six
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: inches high. Come on, man, stay the course.
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: Mark.
- 1:31:47Speaker 5: Talk to God. He would love to hear from you today.
- 1:31:49Speaker 5: Talk to God like you send that message into meet God.
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: Help you hanging that dog. Please don't go back, y'all
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: have a great day today. Talk to God to day.
- 1:32:00Speaker 5: He would absolutely know what to hear.
