- 1:42Speaker 6: Turn you probably got to turn the mouth, turn the mouth,
- 1:47Speaker 6: water the money up.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Come come on you.
- 2:00Speaker 7: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You all
- 2:04Speaker 7: listening to the voice, come on dig me now, one
- 2:07Speaker 7: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man,
- 2:12Speaker 7: oh man, God been good to me.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Man. I can't explain it all really, Hey, you know,
- 2:19Speaker 2: I want I want to remind everybody of something that
- 2:21Speaker 2: I need reminding of myself all the time. And I'm
- 2:27Speaker 2: I'm dealing with a couple of things now and I
- 2:29Speaker 2: had to remind myself. You know what I have to remember.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I have to constantly remind myself to stay in constant
- 2:37Speaker 2: communication with God. Constant communication with God.
- 2:43Speaker 8: You know.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Sometimes you know, I have a tendency and maybe we
- 2:46Speaker 2: do all this people I don't know, but I know
- 2:48Speaker 2: for me that when it's going okay, I slack up
- 2:53Speaker 2: in sometimes having conversations with Him because I'm not coming
- 2:57Speaker 2: to him on a daily with something that's pressing or something,
- 3:00Speaker 2: and I find myself slacking up in the communication. The
- 3:05Speaker 2: danger I have learned in that is this, I think,
- 3:09Speaker 2: you know. I mean we've all heard old people say,
- 3:12Speaker 2: you know, you got to stay prayed up, you know,
- 3:15Speaker 2: and you know prayed up means you know you got
- 3:19Speaker 2: some stowed up. You just got an abundance of them
- 3:21Speaker 2: where you're putting it in. Because what happens is is
- 3:26Speaker 2: when you're not in constant communication with God, when you're
- 3:29Speaker 2: not constantly praying, doing those good times, that allows for
- 3:35Speaker 2: the enemy to slip in and do the little things
- 3:39Speaker 2: that can be upsetting. And then the next thing, you
- 3:41Speaker 2: know what, you get several little things in a row.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Now you got an issue you're dealing with. You know.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I have to remind myself when it's going like that, Man,
- 3:51Speaker 2: have I really been praying though? Have I really been
- 3:54Speaker 2: in constant communication with God? Because you know, that helps
- 3:58Speaker 2: God against that little bitty stuff coming in. Sometimes it's
- 4:02Speaker 2: big stuff, sometimes it's major stuff. But I've noticed, man,
- 4:06Speaker 2: that when I get on a more of a smooth
- 4:09Speaker 2: plane in life, I have a tendency to slack up
- 4:12Speaker 2: in that department, and that ain't the time to slack up.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I'm really learning that I have to stay in constant
- 4:20Speaker 2: communication with God because it enables me to ward off
- 4:25Speaker 2: those little things coming up that can get in the way.
- 4:29Speaker 2: And so I just wanted to make you aware of
- 4:32Speaker 2: that as I'm learning it myself, that staying prayed up
- 4:36Speaker 2: is important that you try to stop prayers, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 2: you try to you know, have some prayers in the bank,
- 4:42Speaker 2: so to speak, and just constant communication with Him because
- 4:46Speaker 2: it'll just safeguard you against a lot of stuff back
- 4:49Speaker 2: doing you. You know, I just wanted to make sure
- 4:51Speaker 2: you understood that because on your journey, it's gonna be
- 4:54Speaker 2: many obstacles. I've said this one hundred times on the show.
- 4:58Speaker 2: The Road to Success always under construction. I say that
- 5:02Speaker 2: all the time, and it's to let you understand that
- 5:06Speaker 2: it's not going to be easy, but we can make
- 5:10Speaker 2: it more difficult than it has to be, you know,
- 5:14Speaker 2: when you go out strike out on the journey. You know,
- 5:18Speaker 2: let's say I got in my car. Let's say I'm
- 5:20Speaker 2: in New York and I get in my car and
- 5:23Speaker 2: I say I'm going to LA. I know, if I
- 5:27Speaker 2: drive west and continue to drive west, eventually I should
- 5:34Speaker 2: get to California, or I may wind up in Portland
- 5:38Speaker 2: or Seattle or something like that. But if I drive west,
- 5:42Speaker 2: I'm going to eventually get to the West coast. Now
- 5:48Speaker 2: wouldn't it be smarter though? If I mapped out the route,
- 5:55Speaker 2: which saved me a bunch of driving, I don't need
- 5:58Speaker 2: and figuring that OU don't have to calculate when you
- 6:02Speaker 2: know the way to go. You know, if you know
- 6:07Speaker 2: you want to cut cross on the twenty, or you
- 6:11Speaker 2: want to cut cross on the seventy, or you want
- 6:14Speaker 2: to cut cross on the tin, you know you got
- 6:19Speaker 2: to devise a route. Now, if I want to go
- 6:21Speaker 2: visit some people I know, then I know I got
- 6:23Speaker 2: to I need to go down. You know. I might
- 6:25Speaker 2: go through Ohio, come down on the eighty, then get
- 6:28Speaker 2: on seventy one and take that all the way down
- 6:31Speaker 2: to the ten and then ride across. Or I might
- 6:33Speaker 2: take it to the twenty, cut through Texas and then
- 6:36Speaker 2: and then let it link back up on the ten.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I know a lot of different ways, but guess what
- 6:41Speaker 2: the best way is to map it out. You can
- 6:45Speaker 2: go anywhere, but if you go with a map, it's
- 6:49Speaker 2: more precise you save yourself a lot of time. And
- 6:52Speaker 2: that's what prayer has taught me that when I will entify,
- 6:56Speaker 2: continuously pray that I stay in the in the in
- 7:00Speaker 2: the I stay in a prepared mode, I have more
- 7:03Speaker 2: idea of where I'm going. I'm more secure with my route.
- 7:07Speaker 2: If you just take off driving heading west. Yeah, you'll
- 7:11Speaker 2: eventually get to the west coast if you out east.
- 7:13Speaker 2: But guess what though, had you mapped it out, you
- 7:17Speaker 2: can see when you veering off, you may stop, come
- 7:20Speaker 2: out and not be paying attention. Next thing, you know,
- 7:23Speaker 2: you're on a route and you go on another way.
- 7:24Speaker 2: You're going north when you could easily still be going west.
- 7:27Speaker 2: You've got to constantly be aware of that. And I'm
- 7:29Speaker 2: just pointing that out to you because I know that
- 7:32Speaker 2: on your journey, a lot of times you get sidetracked.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And part of the ways we get sidetracked is we
- 7:38Speaker 2: lose out on that very the very beneficial resource of prayer.
- 7:44Speaker 2: We lose out. Our connection with God gets strained. The
- 7:48Speaker 2: thicker you can keep the cord connected to God. If
- 7:53Speaker 2: you thin out your communication with God, and instead of
- 7:57Speaker 2: having a big thick cable, now you're dealing with a
- 7:59Speaker 2: little threat. You know, a cable is stronger than thread,
- 8:04Speaker 2: and so it just decreases your opportunity. And so you know,
- 8:09Speaker 2: I wanted to just make you aware of that, and uh,
- 8:12Speaker 2: you know, to ever be encouraged to say to everybody
- 8:15Speaker 2: out there and just keep your head up. It is
- 8:17Speaker 2: going to be dark days for you. There are going
- 8:20Speaker 2: to be situations where it's going to be daunting and
- 8:23Speaker 2: hard to face. But man, oh man, oh man, everybody
- 8:27Speaker 2: has to face these challenges. Everybody get dark sometimes. You know, look,
- 8:32Speaker 2: if you didn't lose, if you didn't lose, you wouldn't
- 8:37Speaker 2: even appreciate winning because if it all went your weight
- 8:41Speaker 2: all the time. Do you know how complacent and content
- 8:45Speaker 2: and how easy life would be if it just went
- 8:49Speaker 2: your way all the time. So when it kept going
- 8:53Speaker 2: your way, you wouldn't even appreciate it because guess what,
- 8:55Speaker 2: it's been going this way the whole time. So what
- 8:58Speaker 2: life does is it has checks and balances. These hard
- 9:02Speaker 2: times are coming, and you need the hard times to
- 9:05Speaker 2: appreciate the good times. You need the clouds and you
- 9:09Speaker 2: need the rain to appreciate the sun and the flowers.
- 9:14Speaker 2: It's just when it comes to prayer, though, just stay
- 9:19Speaker 2: prayed up, stay constant with it, because the challenges of
- 9:23Speaker 2: life are coming, whether you prayed up or not, they're coming.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Understand that you could pray every day all day. When
- 9:30Speaker 2: you get through praying every day all day, something's gonna
- 9:33Speaker 2: happen to you. That's gonna be challenging. Now. I would
- 9:37Speaker 2: rather have been in communication with God on a regular
- 9:41Speaker 2: than wait till every time something pop off to have
- 9:43Speaker 2: to go to and reintroduce myself. Okay, was over a
- 9:48Speaker 2: little around the board with it today, but that's how
- 9:51Speaker 2: it came to me. So that is I ain't mad
- 9:53Speaker 2: at it. Y'all have a great day. We're gonna have
- 9:55Speaker 2: a good one the day. Let's going show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I believe you know what time it is. Again, I'm
- 10:06Speaker 2: almost certain you do. I think you realize what I'm
- 10:09Speaker 2: about to say. So I'm going to assume, even though
- 10:14Speaker 2: we know what happens when you assume that you've already
- 10:18Speaker 2: said thank you, that you've already expressed your sincere gratitude
- 10:23Speaker 2: to your heavenly Father for this wonderful blessing, this opportunity
- 10:27Speaker 2: to yet still be alive, to get another shot, another chance,
- 10:31Speaker 2: another opportunity, another crack at it, another expectation of great
- 10:37Speaker 2: life today. Man, I live in that right there. I
- 10:41Speaker 2: tell you, I tell you I do. I just you know,
- 10:44Speaker 2: somebody said, well, what all did you accomplish today? Well,
- 10:49Speaker 2: waking up is major. That's a major accomplishment. If you
- 10:54Speaker 2: can start with that one, I'm telling you who, that's
- 10:57Speaker 2: pretty good. And then I got currently aware of the
- 11:03Speaker 2: presence and the fact that He is with me at
- 11:06Speaker 2: all times. And whether I think I've accomplished anything towards
- 11:11Speaker 2: the goals or not, it doesn't matter because I realize
- 11:14Speaker 2: that God is working on my behalf behind the scenes,
- 11:19Speaker 2: doing things I don't even know about, and I expect
- 11:21Speaker 2: for all that stuff to come to fruition. So that's
- 11:24Speaker 2: my day. That's how I started it. Welcome to the Ride,
- 11:27Speaker 2: Steve Harvey, Morney Show, Shirley Strawberry, Colin Frail, Mississippi, Monica Junior,
- 11:33Speaker 2: the legend that is Nephew Tommy Junior, y'ard what's going
- 11:37Speaker 2: on with your man?
- 11:38Speaker 9: And you know what, I want to commend Joon that
- 11:40Speaker 9: for saying today, because I got some aspirations. I think
- 11:43Speaker 9: I'm finna start doing something different now. Uncle Finland. I'm
- 11:46Speaker 9: finnah going to acting. I'm finna going to acting. I'm
- 11:50Speaker 9: finna go on acting. Okay, I really want to cause
- 11:55Speaker 9: after all the two B movies, I don't watch it.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I can do it. I can do them.
- 12:00Speaker 9: I damn nigga a Oskar a Tooby movie. They have
- 12:04Speaker 9: encouraged me to go ahead start that because.
- 12:06Speaker 3: You know what, if they doing it, I know I.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Can do it.
- 12:10Speaker 3: I mean they have the same acting coach.
- 12:13Speaker 10: You can do it.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I think that's gonna ask you where this came from?
- 12:17Speaker 2: A forty something.
- 12:19Speaker 9: Because the actors in the movie is forty something. You
- 12:23Speaker 9: should see these movies. I saw a movie called Stuck
- 12:25Speaker 9: on red Man.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Let me tell you something. Who what you gotta see this?
- 12:28Speaker 9: Look, they ain't got the same shirt and the same scene,
- 12:31Speaker 9: but they're saying the same mind in the same scene,
- 12:33Speaker 9: in the same.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Room with different dough every time. And I said, I
- 12:38Speaker 3: can be in this. I ain't gonna have no training.
- 12:41Speaker 9: So that when you said I expected to come fruition,
- 12:45Speaker 9: I expected to be the Tooby movie tomorrow.
- 12:52Speaker 10: They're good.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I know it's gonna throw you off. Probably gonna
- 12:57Speaker 2: believe this, Uh huh, I do know I have no idea.

- 15:32Speaker 12: my wife ain't crazy. She don't just snap on me.
- 15:35Speaker 12: She might, you know, try to check me, say something.
- 15:38Speaker 12: You know what I'm saying. She ain't just gonna snap
- 15:39Speaker 12: on me in public.
- 15:40Speaker 8: So your wife your So your wife has tried to
- 15:42Speaker 8: check you, is what you're saying.
- 15:44Speaker 12: Not check me per se. I mean she might she
- 15:46Speaker 12: might not like something I'm doing and might say something
- 15:48Speaker 12: about it.
- 15:49Speaker 8: But so basically your wife is not in her place
- 15:53Speaker 8: where she needs to be hold on.
- 15:55Speaker 12: I mean what you mean in a play, I mean
- 15:56Speaker 12: she might say something, you know. I mean, I might
- 15:59Speaker 12: be doing something boy, you know, might be with my
- 16:01Speaker 12: boys and might get out of control a little bit.
- 16:03Speaker 12: She might just say something at the time, but she
- 16:05Speaker 12: don't just try to all out check nobody. You know
- 16:07Speaker 12: what I'm saying.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, I'll tell you what. Let me ask
- 16:10Speaker 2: you this one.
- 16:10Speaker 8: Have you ever just had some plans with your guys,
- 16:12Speaker 8: were gonna go out, and had to change your plans
- 16:14Speaker 8: because your wife.
- 16:17Speaker 12: Well, I mean if if like I'm just coming by
- 16:20Speaker 12: hanging out and I ain't let her know or something,
- 16:22Speaker 12: she might you know, be like, well, baby already had
- 16:24Speaker 12: plans you know, can you stay home with the boys
- 16:27Speaker 12: or something. But I mean, I mean nothing on the regular.
- 16:29Speaker 12: You know, I usually do what I want to do.
- 16:31Speaker 2: It seems like denial.
- 16:33Speaker 8: Okay, here's another one, sir, Well, no, just listen.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Hear me out. Now, let me ask you this has
- 16:39Speaker 2: your wife.
- 16:40Speaker 8: Let's say, back when Michael Jordan was playing basketball, did
- 16:43Speaker 8: you ever miss a playoff game on television because your
- 16:46Speaker 8: wife wanted to watch something else?
- 16:47Speaker 12: No, I mean we got two TVs in my house. Man,
- 16:50Speaker 12: I wish Now, I don't even get down. I mean
- 16:52Speaker 12: I might have to watch a little TV, but I
- 16:54Speaker 12: mean I usually watch it on the big show.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Basically.
- 16:57Speaker 8: Yeah, but but you doing you've been pushed to watching
- 17:01Speaker 8: the smaller television.
- 17:02Speaker 12: No, I wouldn't push to do nothing.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Man.
- 17:03Speaker 12: What I'm trying to tell to you is, I mean
- 17:05Speaker 12: we compromised. We do fifty fifty in my house. I mean,
- 17:07Speaker 12: she might get the big TV to watch her stories
- 17:10Speaker 12: or something, and I just had to go watch the
- 17:11Speaker 12: little TV and little TV. Dude, go out of every once.
- 17:15Speaker 2: See there we go.
- 17:16Speaker 12: So with that, I'm going with that.
- 17:18Speaker 2: You're with that. So you're with that. You're actually the
- 17:21Speaker 2: one that's programmed.
- 17:22Speaker 12: And you ain't nothing wrong with my wife, ain't nothing
- 17:24Speaker 12: wrong with my family?
- 17:26Speaker 2: You know what I'm I understand.
- 17:27Speaker 8: Well, let me the reason why I'm asking you these
- 17:29Speaker 8: particular questions is because someone has actually let me know
- 17:34Speaker 8: the problems that are at hand in your household.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Let me ask you.
- 17:36Speaker 8: I got one question for you. Here's what I want
- 17:38Speaker 8: to ask you. Has your wife ever cussed you out
- 17:41Speaker 8: at a family cookout?
- 17:43Speaker 4: Man?
- 17:43Speaker 12: Hold on, man, you know what you're getting a little
- 17:45Speaker 12: personal man.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Man, I'm here, I'm here.
- 17:51Speaker 12: I never heard of this company. Man, I've never heard
- 17:54Speaker 12: of you.
- 17:55Speaker 2: This is something new. Is definitely saying something new.
- 17:58Speaker 12: I mean, don't make me be anything. Don't don't start
- 18:01Speaker 12: calling me trying to get you know, referrals or clientele
- 18:04Speaker 12: or whatever it is you're trying to do. Man, don't
- 18:06Speaker 12: calm me with this nonsense.
- 18:08Speaker 8: Partner, And I completely understand that w C S Sir,
- 18:11Speaker 8: is here to benefit you.
- 18:13Speaker 12: It's no benefit to me, man, getting I'll look at
- 18:16Speaker 12: my personal business wondering what's going on in my household.
- 18:19Speaker 8: Okay, Well, last thing I want to ask you, and
- 18:21Speaker 8: this is the last question I have for you.
- 18:23Speaker 12: Make this the last straight.
- 18:25Speaker 8: Up Okay, have you do you do you buy your
- 18:28Speaker 8: own clothes or does she buy.
- 18:30Speaker 12: The to you know what? Man? This mat you whatever

- 23:53Speaker 11: I guess she thinks I'm stupid enough to let her
- 23:55Speaker 11: hear my conversations. Would I be wrong to put a
- 23:58Speaker 11: password on my phone? Will it make me look guilty
- 24:01Speaker 11: and create more problems? Come on with this one.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I don't understand that she snuck and turned up the
- 24:08Speaker 2: volume on her phone.

- 24:31Speaker 1: Well, he says she.
- 24:32Speaker 11: I guess she thinks I'm stupid enough to let her

- 24:37Speaker 11: it down.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Okay, So what's his question?
- 24:40Speaker 11: What is he wrong to put a password in his phone?
- 24:44Speaker 11: Will it make him look guilty and create more problems
- 24:47Speaker 11: in his marriage?

- 25:12Speaker 1: Why you been irritated?
- 25:14Speaker 2: We're trying to get from me, because that's what it is.
- 25:16Speaker 2: You know, you said, looking like, so what could she do? Now?
- 25:20Speaker 2: Y'all stop all this?
- 25:21Speaker 10: You're right.
- 25:22Speaker 1: See what I want. What I'm going after is how
- 25:25Speaker 1: would you get out of this? How would you?
- 25:27Speaker 2: I ain't ain't nothing?
- 25:28Speaker 1: Not you the man?
- 25:32Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, see he ain't nothing. You don't have
- 25:35Speaker 2: a pass code. That's off. He ain't found guilty of nothing.
- 25:40Speaker 2: You to turn up the volume, brom If I'm getting
- 25:44Speaker 2: pass code, will I look guilty?
- 25:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 25:46Speaker 2: Man, just leave it alone. She ain't found nothing, ain't
- 25:49Speaker 2: nothing to high. Okay.
- 25:51Speaker 1: See that's what I like. Well, yeah, that's what I want.
- 25:54Speaker 2: All right, nothing, all right, I'm listening.

- 26:01Speaker 11: and Lilburn says. One of my employees dresses inappropriately. I
- 26:06Speaker 11: told her that business casual attire is fine, but keep
- 26:10Speaker 11: it classy. She reported me for insinuating that she wasn't classy.
- 26:14Speaker 11: Everything she wears is tight, So what do you expect
- 26:17Speaker 11: me to say?
- 26:18Speaker 10: Was I wrong?
- 26:20Speaker 2: Well? Why is he talking to her about it?
- 26:23Speaker 11: For well, this is from a woman Frida, and one
- 26:26Speaker 11: of her employees dresses inappropriately too tight. Her clothes are
- 26:29Speaker 11: too tight, and she's saying it's okay if she's business casual,
- 26:33Speaker 11: but you know, keep it classy. So then the lady
- 26:36Speaker 11: went and reported her to HR.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Well, see, but ain't that HR's job to talk to
- 26:42Speaker 2: her about. I ain't had a job like that in
- 26:44Speaker 2: a long time. Oh yeah, all the time, Ain't nobody

- 27:13Speaker 1: And it's just.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Now this lady right here, you know, ain't nobody said
- 27:22Speaker 2: nothing to her? And years, you know, ain't nobody told
- 27:25Speaker 2: her she was cute and she looked fine? But what
- 27:28Speaker 2: she getting mad at is the comments around the office.
- 27:34Speaker 11: There is such a thing as business attire, professional attire
- 27:37Speaker 11: at work.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Well, look who talking now? It is, Well, Shelly, we
- 27:43Speaker 2: want to talk about the way you dress.
- 27:49Speaker 1: We don't have that kind of job.
- 27:53Speaker 2: We're talking about tight all this. You know, you were
- 27:57Speaker 2: supposed to be beers and quiet and and and I'm
- 28:00Speaker 2: gonna say something that I've heard the other ladies say too.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Every time we go somewhere, Shirley's stomach always out. I
- 28:08Speaker 2: heard him say that. And I don't even be with y'all,
- 28:12Speaker 2: so I know it ain't me talking. So whoop whoop?
- 28:16Speaker 3: Now what woo do?
- 28:17Speaker 1: It was out today too? How did you know that
- 28:28Speaker 1: I didn't say it?

- 28:35Speaker 11: The other woman on this anyway, I'm not on this.
- 28:39Speaker 1: This is not about me.
- 28:41Speaker 2: It's about you right now. That's exactly who this is about.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I don't wear them to work.
- 28:49Speaker 12: Uh.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Thank you, Clo.
- 28:53Speaker 11: Coming up at the top of the hour, We'll have

- 29:09Speaker 11: Atlanta ruled in favor of the late Isaac Hayes estate.
- 29:14Speaker 11: This is in response to an emergency injunction filed by
- 29:17Speaker 11: Hayes's estate to prevent Trump's campaign. We're playing the song
- 29:20Speaker 11: campaign events without proper authorization. Trump's attorney addressed the media, saying, quote,
- 29:26Speaker 11: the campaign has no interest in annoying or hurting anyone,
- 29:30Speaker 11: and if the Hayes family feels it hurts or annoys them,
- 29:32Speaker 11: that's fine. We're not going to force the issue. The
- 29:35Speaker 11: song hold On I'm Coming, of course, was co written
- 29:37Speaker 11: by I think Trump went back to playing y m.
- 29:42Speaker 5: C a another case. Yeah yeah, see see.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna stop saying that. Yeah, You're not all
- 30:00Speaker 2: right nowhere with this damn song play right.
- 30:05Speaker 11: Moving on to New Orleans, the mayor there, LaToya Cantrell,
- 30:09Speaker 11: has named businessman Percy master P Miller. We all know
- 30:13Speaker 11: him as the entertainment ambassador for the twenty twenty five
- 30:17Speaker 11: Super Bowl in New Orleans.
- 30:20Speaker 1: That's right.
- 30:20Speaker 11: Mayor Cantrell stated that this partnership with master P will
- 30:25Speaker 11: create initiatives that strengthen the economy and stimulate educational and
- 30:30Speaker 11: cultural opportunities for the city of New Orleans and its residents. So, Steve,
- 30:35Speaker 11: do you think master P will have input in next
- 30:37Speaker 11: year's halftime show?
- 30:39Speaker 2: No, not at all. That has no This is local
- 30:43Speaker 2: and citywide for the city of New Orleans, which is
- 30:46Speaker 2: a great idea. Master P has always done positive moves
- 30:52Speaker 2: for the people of New Orleans. He deserves that honor.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Masterpiece of businessman. He died, he for real trying to
- 31:00Speaker 2: enlighten and uplift people. So that's all powerful, But there
- 31:03Speaker 2: has nothing to do with has the hair ball them wife?
- 31:08Speaker 2: They'll kill they said nine nine and nine, so many
- 31:18Speaker 2: suicides and halftime.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Holly go master P.
- 31:29Speaker 2: He's a good brother man, really solid solid dude man,
- 31:33Speaker 2: Just really really solid dude.
- 31:36Speaker 3: No limales.
- 31:39Speaker 1: All right, This story right here is pretty strange. The
- 31:42Speaker 1: late O. J.
- 31:42Speaker 11: Simpsons cremated remains were transformed into jewelry pieces. That's right,
- 31:47Speaker 11: I said, transformed into jewelry pieces for his four children.
- 31:52Speaker 11: This is according to T M.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Z uh.
- 31:54Speaker 11: Simpson's attorney stated that OJ's children chose to honor O J.
- 31:58Speaker 11: By transforming his that's just into wearable art or cremation jewelry.
- 32:04Speaker 1: So here's the question.
- 32:05Speaker 11: For you, Steve, would you like for your kids to
- 32:07Speaker 11: do this after you're gone, you know, turn your ashes
- 32:10Speaker 11: into jewelry?
- 32:12Speaker 2: Well, I know, O James kids probably would. Daddy, I
- 32:14Speaker 2: always want to be on somebody neck. Recall it. That's
- 32:30Speaker 2: my daddy, he always that's the I think that's how
- 32:33Speaker 2: you want to be. He always want to be on
- 32:35Speaker 2: somebody neck. So you said and gave him a story.
- 32:44Speaker 2: It came to me instantly.
- 32:46Speaker 1: This is such a crazy story.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I mean, but I know that's what them kids are saying. No,
- 32:51Speaker 2: you know, I mean, just think about it. You're not
- 32:55Speaker 2: saying all the times he just wanted to be on
- 33:00Speaker 2: somebody in neck.
- 33:02Speaker 11: Question was how would you like your remains? Would you
- 33:06Speaker 11: do this?
- 33:07Speaker 1: That's the question.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Now. First of all, I'm not gonna be here for it,
- 33:11Speaker 2: so you know, you can put me in the coffin,
- 33:14Speaker 2: you can put me in the urn. I just my
- 33:17Speaker 2: my goal is to go to him. I don't care how,
- 33:21Speaker 2: I don't care what y'all do. Y'all could man, look,
- 33:26Speaker 2: y'all can take me up in a hot air balloon
- 33:28Speaker 2: and sprinkle me over West Virginia if you want to, y'all, Yeah,
- 33:38Speaker 2: you could take me and treat me like a sailor
- 33:40Speaker 2: and bury me at c and you know, go to hell. Well,
- 33:42Speaker 2: I don't want in that water.
- 33:51Speaker 14: Do you want like a big funeral celebration? You want
- 33:56Speaker 14: to really be because I think I think I read
- 33:58Speaker 14: somewhere that Eddie Murphy say he did and want a funeral.
- 34:00Speaker 14: He didn't want any of that, So you want a
- 34:04Speaker 14: big one, Steve, I know, I don't, you know, I don't.
- 34:09Speaker 14: I don't think about that.
- 34:10Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 34:14Speaker 1: But you did a prank about it something. Yeah, oh I.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Want a funeral. You know that's different. Have you ever
- 34:23Speaker 2: wondered this though, you said, have you ever wondered like
- 34:26Speaker 2: when you go on man, we do a lot of
- 34:29Speaker 2: people come.
- 34:30Speaker 12: With their.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Think about that. Yeah.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:35Speaker 2: What you don't want is to wake in the funeral combined,
- 34:38Speaker 2: and it's like it ain't it ain't even you know,
- 34:40Speaker 2: let's just it's over twelve ten rows of people.
- 34:45Speaker 11: Yeah, here's a crazy question to open or close casket.
- 34:50Speaker 14: Well you know that's what they But you know they
- 34:52Speaker 14: do that now, Steve. They do the wake and the
- 34:54Speaker 14: funeral on the same day.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Now, we've always done that in our family. I waken
- 35:00Speaker 2: it was at the.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Same time yeah, yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 2: Thirty minutes before the funeral, Come on in here. What
- 35:05Speaker 2: is all this sitting around night before talking?
- 35:07Speaker 9: It's too much and you just laid up there ain't
- 35:10Speaker 9: nobody talking.
- 35:11Speaker 3: To They talked to.
- 35:13Speaker 2: I had a pardoner man talking about he was going
- 35:15Speaker 2: to read his grandmama with a story. I said, he
- 35:19Speaker 2: went to read his grandmother's story at the funeral.
- 35:26Speaker 11: Okay, coming up for twenty minutes after.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Cans will.
- 35:32Speaker 3: To school.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Well, I'm not going in here for his dog. I
- 35:38Speaker 1: won't be here once upon a time.
- 35:40Speaker 10: You're listening morning show.
- 35:44Speaker 11: Well, guys, school is back in session, as we all know,
- 35:46Speaker 11: and this new year comes with new dress codes being
- 35:49Speaker 11: implemented in public schools across the country. Some schools still
- 35:54Speaker 11: ban cell phones, despite parents' concerns of being able to
- 35:57Speaker 11: reach their children in case of an emergency, but this
- 36:01Speaker 11: school year, certain clothing is also banned.
- 36:04Speaker 1: For example, a public high school.
- 36:06Speaker 11: In Alabama has implemented a long list of items that
- 36:10Speaker 11: are banned, like open toed shoes, hoodies, crocs, leggings, hats, sunglasses, headbands, bonnets. Oh,
- 36:21Speaker 11: that's gonna make a lot of people mad. Body con dresses,
- 36:24Speaker 11: tight fitting skirts, tight fitting shirts, and jeans with holes
- 36:27Speaker 11: around the knees.
- 36:28Speaker 1: Oh I love those. Yeah, I don't know.
- 36:33Speaker 11: It's students shoes to wear these items they're faced with
- 36:36Speaker 11: in school suspension.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Now, according to CNN, the.
- 36:39Speaker 11: Dress code policy is to help foster a sense of
- 36:42Speaker 11: unity and reduce distractions.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Okay, I kind of get that.
- 36:46Speaker 11: So what do you guys think about taking the child's
- 36:48Speaker 11: cell phone? And what do you think about these dress codes?
- 36:51Speaker 1: Is it too strict? You think I got it?
- 36:55Speaker 3: I won't.
- 36:55Speaker 8: We ain't have no phone. But yeah, I like for
- 36:58Speaker 8: my son to have a phone. I like to be
- 36:59Speaker 8: a calling case something go wrong, like going wrong in
- 37:02Speaker 8: these schools. So I want my child to be able
- 37:03Speaker 8: to call me. Now, you don't need to be on
- 37:05Speaker 8: the phone in class, but.
- 37:09Speaker 2: There's something jumping off, you need to call your daddy.
- 37:11Speaker 11: Yes, I mean, how do you reconcile that? I mean,
- 37:15Speaker 11: because the school doesn't want you to have phone?
- 37:18Speaker 2: He got one in his locker. We already went through this,
- 37:21Speaker 2: me and him.
- 37:23Speaker 14: I think that it's a catch twenty two because you
- 37:25Speaker 14: want the kids to be able to reach out to you.
- 37:27Speaker 14: Because the school safety we didn't have these issues when
- 37:30Speaker 14: we were coming up, because it wasn't as violent in school. However,
- 37:35Speaker 14: when you go up there, there's nothing you as a
- 37:38Speaker 14: parent can do.
- 37:39Speaker 1: If it's going down, there's nothing.
- 37:42Speaker 2: It's open.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Is that not letting you in?
- 37:46Speaker 3: None of that.
- 37:46Speaker 14: So it's it's a catch twenty two for us as parents,
- 37:50Speaker 14: because I am paranoid every time my daughter calls me
- 37:54Speaker 14: from school, every single time.
- 37:56Speaker 2: I'm paranoid every time it's a news break.
- 37:59Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah, I mean not as far as the as
- 38:02Speaker 14: far as dress coat goes.
- 38:05Speaker 1: I mean, I know my.
- 38:06Speaker 14: Daughter school they're pretty strict about the dress codes what
- 38:09Speaker 14: they can and can't wear, and I mean that's their rules,
- 38:12Speaker 14: that's their rules.
- 38:13Speaker 1: And I get that.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Uniforms, you know, so that's yeah.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Yeah, at my daughter's high school, she got some public
- 38:21Speaker 1: high school.
- 38:21Speaker 14: They don't wear uniforms, but they they don't play when
- 38:24Speaker 14: it comes to the dress coat.
- 38:26Speaker 2: But I like some knees out there. I like to
- 38:28Speaker 2: tear in the knees that.
- 38:31Speaker 11: But we didn't wear they weren't in fact when we
- 38:33Speaker 11: were in school. So it's hard.
- 38:35Speaker 1: To find jeans when our holes in them. I'm just
- 38:37Speaker 1: coming regular jeans.
- 38:39Speaker 11: And then when you buy regular jeans, if you do
- 38:42Speaker 11: find them, you want to put some holes you want
- 38:44Speaker 11: to put Yeah, you want to tear the.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Knee maid out. They can't even have their shoulders out
- 38:48Speaker 3: in naw school.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I like the shoulder, I mean I shoulder. What come
- 38:55Speaker 1: to all my guys?
- 38:57Speaker 11: Coming up in thirty four minutes after Oh, here we go,
- 39:00Speaker 11: he promised, stupid will be right back.
- 39:02Speaker 1: It is here Tommy time.
- 39:04Speaker 14: He's gonna ask us a few.
- 39:07Speaker 11: Questions coming up right after this. You're listening hard morning show?
- 39:13Speaker 11: All right, Steve, Uh, your nephew is that time again?
- 39:16Speaker 11: He has something on his mind?
- 39:18Speaker 2: What you got, nephew? Okay? Now, un you know, I'm
- 39:21Speaker 2: very creative.
- 39:22Speaker 8: You know, I've come up with so many different things
- 39:24Speaker 8: in this world, a lot of things that people have
- 39:26Speaker 8: really not taken and grab hold to that they could
- 39:29Speaker 8: have ran with. You know, I've done some I've come
- 39:31Speaker 8: up with some amazing stuff. And I just think, this time,
- 39:34Speaker 8: this time, this discovery from Tommy, this time, it is
- 39:37Speaker 8: just gonna be just incredible. And I listen to me, Uh,
- 39:40Speaker 8: same way they came out with medical marijuana, same way
- 39:43Speaker 8: they did that though, same way they came out I
- 39:45Speaker 8: thank yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, and it heals
- 39:49Speaker 8: people and all that kind of stuff.
- 39:51Speaker 2: But tim, which thing medical six? And what this is?
- 39:56Speaker 2: And listen to me. Hear me out now what this is?
- 39:59Speaker 2: What this is on?
- 40:00Speaker 8: I say, doctors prescribed how much sick sex you need
- 40:05Speaker 8: on a weekly basis. You see what I'm saying, And
- 40:07Speaker 8: you take your slip and take it home to your
- 40:09Speaker 8: wife or you or your loved one and they fulfill it.
- 40:12Speaker 8: Like if it's three of the doctors say you three
- 40:14Speaker 8: times a week, four times a week. You understand I'm saying,
- 40:16Speaker 8: and the and the wife. It's up to the wife
- 40:18Speaker 8: to fulfill that. Now she don't fulfill that, then you
- 40:21Speaker 8: have the right to go and get it fulfilled else.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Well does that makes sense? You see what I'm saying.
- 40:26Speaker 8: I think a lot of men would love have Huh, listen,
- 40:31Speaker 8: If you're not gonna do what the doctor says, I can't.
- 40:34Speaker 8: My help can't go low because you had to have
- 40:36Speaker 8: not handle it, you know what I'm saying, So we
- 40:39Speaker 8: move around.
- 40:40Speaker 2: If you don't, if the wife don't take that, ask
- 40:45Speaker 2: you a question. I don't think that's gonna create another
- 40:48Speaker 2: medical issue.
- 40:52Speaker 1: You're gonna need some antibody.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Because when you come back in the house and she
- 40:58Speaker 2: opened fire down at that hospital. Again.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I just y'all don't see the discovery.
- 41:09Speaker 2: I mean, I hadn't thought it that far. I don't
- 41:11Speaker 2: never go that. I don't. I don't know you don't.
- 41:14Speaker 2: That's it exactly.
- 41:20Speaker 8: So this ain't y'all shooting is down. Huh, this ain't
- 41:24Speaker 8: a good idea.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Well, you do know who you married to, don't you?
- 41:29Speaker 2: Y'all know I'm married? Okay, how you think that's gonna work? Homie?
- 41:36Speaker 8: I'm not trying it at my house. I'm just putting
- 41:38Speaker 8: it out there. I wouldn't saying you thought it was
- 41:41Speaker 8: a good idea. You come up with a lot of
- 41:43Speaker 8: stuff people don't run with. You want people to roll
- 41:45Speaker 8: with stuff you ain't running with. But yeah, well you
- 41:49Speaker 8: know you got to test it first. Somebody got to
- 41:51Speaker 8: test it. I don't want to be the test. I'm
- 41:54Speaker 8: not gonna be the person that's gonna fry, you know,
- 41:56Speaker 8: like somebody like Junior.
- 41:57Speaker 3: See Junior, you know he let me go tift for you.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Hold on?
- 42:01Speaker 2: I wrote back, Yeah, going in there, JUNI.
- 42:03Speaker 14: Okay, we just live on the radio here and wait.
- 42:09Speaker 2: He actually got up and went out the room.
- 42:11Speaker 3: He did came waiting.
- 42:15Speaker 1: He came back back.
- 42:16Speaker 3: He came back to get the out her face. That
- 42:20Speaker 3: didn't really go work. You ain't no prescription you, I said,
- 42:23Speaker 3: prescription sex. Get the f out my face.
- 42:27Speaker 2: That's not gonna work.
- 42:29Speaker 3: It didn't take long either. She sat right up, focus.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Turn when you left.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I would have ask, hey, Junior, when she said
- 42:38Speaker 2: get the f out my face. You just said, that's
- 42:40Speaker 2: exactly what the doctor trying to and he you is
- 42:45Speaker 2: right here.
- 42:49Speaker 8: Okay, bad idea. Hey, hey, you know, bad idea. I
- 42:53Speaker 8: thought i'd give it a shot. I thought, you know,
- 42:55Speaker 8: medical sex would be good. All you got to going
- 42:57Speaker 8: there doctor. You know, doctor tell you you needed three
- 43:00Speaker 8: four times a week, three four times a week.
- 43:02Speaker 2: That's good. Well, I will say this about it. It
- 43:06Speaker 2: has been known to heal everything.
- 43:13Speaker 10: Everything blind.
- 43:15Speaker 2: You got some se they.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Got it like to the blind all that. Yeah yeah, yeah.

- 43:33Speaker 1: Yeah, back to the drawing board.
- 43:34Speaker 8: Nephew, all right, medical sex, I take that one off.

- 53:32Speaker 8: It could be yours. Muckle up and hold on tight.
- 53:34Speaker 8: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry letter.
- 53:37Speaker 1: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject it's always the same
- 53:40Speaker 1: mess with her.
- 53:41Speaker 11: Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been with my lady for almost
- 53:44Speaker 11: nine years, and she proposed to me in July. It
- 53:48Speaker 11: came out of nowhere because I had just caught her
- 53:50Speaker 11: cheating on me. I was about to break up with
- 53:53Speaker 11: her and she hit me with a proposal. I haven't
- 53:56Speaker 11: told her yes or no, because we have a lot
- 53:58Speaker 11: of unresolved issue. When I first met her, it was
- 54:01Speaker 11: at a strip club. She wasn't a dancer, but she
- 54:04Speaker 11: was dating one, and so was I. We found out
- 54:07Speaker 11: that we were messing with the same girl, so we
- 54:10Speaker 11: all would hook up. I took my girl out a
- 54:12Speaker 11: few times and we decided we leave the stripper alone
- 54:15Speaker 11: and try to be monogamous. That lasted about six months,
- 54:19Speaker 11: and I found out she was cheating on me with
- 54:20Speaker 11: a guy she works with. We took a break and
- 54:23Speaker 11: I was dating a lot of other women. I was
- 54:26Speaker 11: in my mid twenties and so was she. She told
- 54:29Speaker 11: me she was ready to settle down again, so this
- 54:31Speaker 11: time we got a place together. I hoped that she
- 54:34Speaker 11: would be faithful to me because I had gotten tired
- 54:38Speaker 11: of threesomes and wild sex CapAids. I took on an
- 54:41Speaker 11: executive role at work and was ready to be with her.
- 54:45Speaker 11: Every One in my inner circles said she's not the
- 54:47Speaker 11: one to settle down with, but she was my rock
- 54:51Speaker 11: and had been there with me through a lot of
- 54:53Speaker 11: ups and downs. Come to find out she's my rock,
- 54:56Speaker 11: but she's also a cheater and a liar. My best
- 55:00Speaker 11: friend showed me proof of her trying to sleep with him,
- 55:03Speaker 11: and I got mad at him. Now that I understand
- 55:06Speaker 11: how she really is, I apologize to him and we're
- 55:09Speaker 11: slowly becoming close again. This woman has my heart all
- 55:12Speaker 11: twisted up, and I think I would end up in
- 55:15Speaker 11: an open marriage if I agree to go through with this.
- 55:18Speaker 11: How will I know if she's got all the cheating
- 55:20Speaker 11: out of her system. Okay, first of all, you can't
- 55:25Speaker 11: marry You cannot marry this woman. You cannot. Okay, she
- 55:29Speaker 11: hasn't gotten all the cheating out. She just tried to
- 55:31Speaker 11: hook up with your boy. No, and she proposed to you,
- 55:35Speaker 11: probably because you caught her cheating. Like you said, you're
- 55:38Speaker 11: never going to trust this woman. You'll never be able
- 55:41Speaker 11: to trust her. That's why you're writing us now. She
- 55:43Speaker 11: is not the one. Listen to everyone in your inner circle.
- 55:47Speaker 11: They know you too, do not want the same things
- 55:50Speaker 11: out of life. You don't want to cheat, you want
- 55:53Speaker 11: to settle down. She's still out there wilding. Okay, she's
- 55:57Speaker 11: a cheater and a liar, and those are your words,
- 56:00Speaker 11: so believe them. Don't come back and let them bite
- 56:03Speaker 11: you in the butt again. She has shown you who
- 56:05Speaker 11: she is time after time. Please believe her. You can't
- 56:09Speaker 11: change her, you can't make her into the person you
- 56:11Speaker 11: want to be. None of that. This relationship will turn
- 56:14Speaker 11: into an even worse disaster if you guys get married,
- 56:17Speaker 11: if you're done with all your wiling, like you said,
- 56:19Speaker 11: and you want to settle down, you can't settle with her.
- 56:22Speaker 11: She doesn't want that. I know you must love her.
- 56:24Speaker 11: You said that your heart is all twisted, but you
- 56:27Speaker 11: got to think about what married life would be with her.
- 56:30Speaker 11: One heartbreak, one betrayal after another. Tell her no, tell
- 56:34Speaker 11: her no to her proposal. You're not going to marry her,
- 56:37Speaker 11: and please move on.
- 56:39Speaker 2: Steve, Well, it's always the same mess with her. As
- 56:44Speaker 2: the subject, surely made a statement that stuck out in
- 56:47Speaker 2: my mind. She said, you can't marry her because you
- 56:51Speaker 2: all don't want the same thing. Well, I think you do.
- 56:57Speaker 2: I think y'all do want the same thing. Well, the
- 57:00Speaker 2: problem is right here. Everybody you won't, she won't. Everybody
- 57:04Speaker 2: she won't you want everybody you've been with. She got
- 57:07Speaker 2: a guy with a lot of y'all got a lot
- 57:09Speaker 2: in common here. Man. Sleeping around is huge for y'all. Huge.
- 57:16Speaker 2: You've been with her for nine years. She promoted, she
- 57:19Speaker 2: proposed to you in July after you caught her cheating.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Who does a dude move right there? That is such
- 57:25Speaker 2: a dude move. And she obviously read the book Act
- 57:31Speaker 2: like a lady, think like a man, because that's exactly
- 57:35Speaker 2: all she doing is thinking like a man. But this
- 57:37Speaker 2: woman you dealing with, brum, This is not a long
- 57:44Speaker 2: letter for me because I don't know how to do it.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Let me we're gonna do a reenactment when we come back.
- 57:55Speaker 2: I don't even know how to do the reenact because
- 57:58Speaker 2: you all are not made for man's relationships. You met
- 58:01Speaker 2: her at a strip club because you was dating a
- 58:04Speaker 2: stripper and she was dating a stripple. Turned out it
- 58:07Speaker 2: was the same stripple. Then y'all got tired of threesomes
- 58:14Speaker 2: and y'all decided to stay with each other. Okay, now,
- 58:20Speaker 2: how long did that last? You said that lasted about
- 58:23Speaker 2: six months? And then I found out she was cheating
- 58:26Speaker 2: on that she worked with. She got to be in
- 58:31Speaker 2: bed at all times. She ain't down at the job.
- 58:36Speaker 2: She got to be in the rack. We took a break.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Then I was dating a lot of other women. Now
- 58:47Speaker 2: you and now you back out in the streets. I
- 58:51Speaker 2: was in my mid twenties and so was she. She
- 58:53Speaker 2: told me she was ready to settle down again. So
- 58:55Speaker 2: this time we got a place together. Who thought this
- 59:00Speaker 2: was a good ass? I did? Y'all got a place together.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Now it's Grand Central Railroad Station in y'all house. I
- 59:11Speaker 2: can promise you it's some comings and going on in here.
- 59:15Speaker 2: I hope she would be faithful to me because I
- 59:17Speaker 2: had gotten tired of threesomes and wild sex coupaids. I
- 59:22Speaker 2: know that's right. And let me tell you something. She
- 59:25Speaker 2: is doing that damn most because when the dude say
- 59:29Speaker 2: he tied the threesomes and wild sex coupaid If you
- 59:34Speaker 2: in there, girl, you in now with the Jordan of
- 59:39Speaker 2: sexual activity. You in there with the greatest of all
- 59:45Speaker 2: time ladies in German.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:54Speaker 11: Of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 59:57Speaker 11: today's Strawberry Letters, subject is it's always the same mess
- 1:00:01Speaker 11: with her.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:03Speaker 11: You're listening morning show, all right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:00:08Speaker 11: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is it's always the
- 1:00:11Speaker 11: same mess with her.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: This poor man that wrote this, let end you dating
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: a woman for nine years. They met at a strip club.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: They was dating the same stripple.
- 1:00:21Speaker 12: Uh.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Then she asked her to marry him because she cheated
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: on him with a guy work. They broke up a
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: little bit. He started dating a lot of women. She
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: was back out there in them streets. You tired, I'm exhausted.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Then she told me she was ready to settle down again.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: And then they went and got a place together. They
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: opened up Grand Central Station at the house. Uh So
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: the Holiday Inn Express was now their new home. So
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: they they got a house and it turned out to
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: be an AIRB and b at a hotel and jeans
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: motor lodging. They ain't there selling room for about an hour.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: That's when you notice happened. Your popping off at this hotel.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: We got hourly rates. And anyway, he said he got
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: tired of threesomes and wild sex coupays. You know something
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: going on when the dude get tied, So now he
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: wants to This is ridiculous, out of y'all. He took
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: an executive role at work, so he executive now. And
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: then he said that he was ready to be with her,
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: but everybody in their circle telling her him she's not
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: the one to settle down with.
- 1:01:45Speaker 10: Now.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: Guess what came out of all this. This is what
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: threw me in this hole. Guess what he said after that.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: But she is my rock, old mate, boy, boy, you
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: need a new posaurus and dictionary. You cannot be calling
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: her your rock.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: She come to find out.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: She is my rock. But she's also a cheetah and
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: a liar. Yeah, boy, you need some new rocks. I
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: ain't gonna go there anyway. She's not your rock.
- 1:02:30Speaker 14: Now.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: I don't know if this term is acceptable on the radio,
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: but I'm gonna have to tell you what you have here.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Though she's not your rock. She's a fought a thought.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Now for those of you old people that don't know
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: what a thought is this, now here's what it stands for.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: That blank over there, fought that blank over there. Ay,
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: but one blank start with the H going there. That's
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: all I need to say. That's the Strawberry Letter. Thank
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: y'all for listening this morning.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Don't marry her please, and broh, don't I don't understand man.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: So then one of your best friends showed you proof
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: of her trying to sleep with him. You got mad
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: at him. Now understand how she realized. I apologize to him,
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: and we slowly becoming close again. What you mean by that?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Though he and his friend are slowly getting becoming close?
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Oh, I thought they had broke up too. I shouldn't say.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Just well, y'all see with the same strip woods, same friends. Anyway,
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: this woman was my has my heart all twisted up,
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: and I think I would end up in an open
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: marriage if I agreed to go through with this. How
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: will I know if she's got all cheating out of
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: her system? She don't. She don't have no cheating out.

- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Now who they play?
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: The Eagles? They playing the Package Bay Packers. Have to
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: ask that, y'all don't care.

- 1:08:52Speaker 2: Yeah for Green Bay.
- 1:08:53Speaker 15: He's a hot However, everything feel good to have football back.
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: Man, I'm excited. It's just gonna be a It's gonna

- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Man, we got it from that's our first game, is
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: the coach man? We ought to be Want to know
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: by five o'clock?
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Want it off?
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I already know.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: My husband gonna start.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: Start the park. Don't come in here. Ain't playing, thank y'all.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: In the kitchen, they planed the Panthers. So y'all, good y'all.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: At the top of the hour, a woman needs some advice.
- 1:09:33Speaker 11: Should she tell her boyfriend that she once worked as
- 1:09:35Speaker 11: an escort? We'll find out right after this. You're listening.
- 1:09:42Speaker 10: Morning show, all right, Steve.
- 1:09:45Speaker 11: This is from Red in Jacksonville. Red said, I used
- 1:09:48Speaker 11: to be an escort. I walked away from that life
- 1:09:51Speaker 11: a few years ago and I fell in love with
- 1:09:53Speaker 11: my pastor. Luckily for me, no one knows me by
- 1:09:56Speaker 11: my real name. I only went by Red back then.
- 1:09:59Speaker 11: My my family doesn't even Yeah, Red, my family doesn't
- 1:10:03Speaker 11: even know about my past. And I'm struggling with telling
- 1:10:06Speaker 11: my boyfriend everything. He is a pastor, so I feel
- 1:10:10Speaker 11: like he will be able to accept the new me.
- 1:10:12Speaker 11: He's come clean with me about how he sold drugs
- 1:10:15Speaker 11: as a teenager before he got his calling to preach.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Will he be able to.
- 1:10:19Speaker 11: See my past whole life? See he passed my old
- 1:10:22Speaker 11: life as Red and still be able to love me.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: I'm on double standard.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: See, well, no he's not. He's not gonna understand it.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: Don't tell nobody your ass was an escort. Who's the nickname? Red?
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: Your name purple? Don't tell him he told you how
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: he was young he sold drugs. Just selling drugs is
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: one thing selling cookie, it's a whole nother thing.
- 1:11:04Speaker 10: Judgment.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Such a double standard right there.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Call it whatever you want to call it, but shut
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: your damn up. I told you all about this honesty policy, but.
- 1:11:20Speaker 14: The pastor, so that's why she's probably feeling guilty.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: You are familiar with the internet and pastors.
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: Them.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they're a little out there some of Yeah.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: I pretty much cleared myself. I really got a good
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: shot at heaven.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Now if they're doing that, I got I'm good and
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: real good about heaven.
- 1:11:52Speaker 11: All right, all right, so don't tell it, take it
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: to the grave. You're saying, we have time for another one, Steve.
- 1:11:58Speaker 11: This is from Gina in Chicago. Gina says, my brother
- 1:12:00Speaker 11: and my roommate are seeing each other and I find
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: it hard to sleep next door to them while they're
- 1:12:05Speaker 11: having sex. He says, it's a normal part of life
- 1:12:08Speaker 11: and to get over it. Am I overreacting to this?
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Well, I mean you're not overreacting. That's the reaction you have.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: And it's your brother, yea. Now, whether it's your little
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: brother or your big brother, the problem is you're hearing
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: your roommate and your brother they holler and bruh and
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: the letting it bro brother not letting it go. And
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: you don't want to know that side of him. You
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: really didn't want to know that side of her.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: But now you're in there, she should get another place.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah you're gonna yeah, you're not gonna get over that.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't unhear it. Would it be the same
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: if you if he wasn't her brother, which would.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Of course, it would be different, a little different, A
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: lot of it's still a little you're uncomfortable hearing other people.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: I'm gonna comfort if it's not me. I don't really
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: want to hear this.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: I hear you on that one.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: A mess. He's a mess because when I hear you
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: all in there yelling out instructions, in my mind, I'll
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: be running the video.
- 1:13:20Speaker 10: So is that what this is?
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: What sister is doing?
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, use the lamp shade. Now I'm here going
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: I'm about to lose my mind trying to figure out
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: what they're doing with that that. See, I don't need that.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Don't go over there knocking that.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: I'm trying to drill a hole in this wall for
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: tomorrow night because I have got to find out what
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: they're doing with that damn lamp shade.
- 1:13:53Speaker 11: It's just this little stuff you hear, you know, get
- 1:13:59Speaker 11: a new please, all right, coming up between.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: What they doing with this?
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:14:10Speaker 11: Coming up in twenty minutes after. We'll have more of
- 1:14:12Speaker 11: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:13Speaker 10: Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:22Speaker 11: A man in Virginia gave his son a winning one
- 1:14:25Speaker 11: million dollar lottery ticket as a wedding gift. Nice, he
- 1:14:29Speaker 11: jokingly told Virginia Lottery officials, quote, this was the very
- 1:14:33Speaker 11: this was the best way to get him out of
- 1:14:36Speaker 11: my basement. Well, the son got married in April and
- 1:14:39Speaker 11: then moved into the dad's basement with his new wife.
- 1:14:42Speaker 11: The newlyweds chose the one million dollar cash option instead
- 1:14:46Speaker 11: of the one thousand dollars week payoffs. They now plan
- 1:14:49Speaker 11: to move out of the dad's basement and into a
- 1:14:52Speaker 11: new home.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Finally, please, that was so nice of the dad. Huh
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: to give his son a million?
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: My daddy put me out and and give me nothing.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Stay here?
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: What is it waiting on a million thousand dollars a week?
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: What?
- 1:15:14Speaker 13: What? What?
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: What did you not getting married in this damn basement?
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: Why did he keep the money and let them move
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: into the house?
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: That's what man?
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Nice of dad? Really nice?
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Wow?
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: So they plan to move out. It says they plan
- 1:15:37Speaker 11: to move out of the dad's spaceman into.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Their new you'd be planning from a hotel room with
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: a million dollars getting out of here.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, your dad is nice. He's a nice man.
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: You know they're gonna run out of a millionaires man.
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: You know they're gonna run out of this million.
- 1:15:54Speaker 11: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:15:57Speaker 11: Show coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:16:00Speaker 11: we will play around of would you rather? Right after
- 1:16:03Speaker 11: this you're listening hard Morning Show. It's time now, guys
- 1:16:08Speaker 11: for a round of would you rather? Would you rather
- 1:16:11Speaker 11: go trick or treating? Or would you rather go Christmas caroling?
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: Oh? Trick or treat? I'm not standing out there any
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: white ful y'all saying I'm not doing that.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: I'm not doing Twelve Day of Christmas.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: Not doing none of it.
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: I'm going Junior. I'm going Carolyn. I'm not putting on
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: no costume at forty five for rigging for candy when
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: I can afford it, smell.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: You ain't got to put on no costume. Just go
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: as Junior.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: You want something good?
- 1:16:41Speaker 13: Why?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Because he sounds like a kid. Hey, hey, who are you?
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Little boy?
- 1:16:53Speaker 15: I'm junior, old ass little boy? Where if you say
- 1:17:04Speaker 15: where's your hair? If you say where your hair, I'm
- 1:17:07Speaker 15: gonna leave.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: You know it's coming. Howler, you little boy, I'm forty five.
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: Well you need to let it go, look junior? All right?
- 1:17:22Speaker 10: Moving on?
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Would you rather be the best dressed in the room?
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: If you go off a trigger treat, you should go
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: as a barble?
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: Come on, come on, I got you?
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: Yeah? Would everybody say what happened to your hair? I
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: was trying to line it myself in the mill.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: All right, moving on to it. Would you rather be
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: the best dressed in the room or would you rather
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: be the most intelligent in the room? Which one, mum
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: the smartest?
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: Yeah? What what did you say?
- 1:17:55Speaker 11: Nephew?
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: Wait, I'm normally both of them?
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: No?
- 1:18:00Speaker 13: That so.
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: Well?
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: You have been dressed well, lady. Nobody has ever told
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: me your ass? Yeah? Both for them?
- 1:18:16Speaker 9: If you both of them, you're the only one in
- 1:18:18Speaker 9: the room. Your ass is in there by yourself.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Ain't see what best dressed is worthless?
- 1:18:37Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: Oh he always the best dressed. I'm you know I'm
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: in him?
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: You both, Shannon sharp b o a m.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:18:49Speaker 11: Would you rather spend the night at the opera or
- 1:18:52Speaker 11: would you rather spend a night at a Broadway play.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: They ain't gonna be that opera. It ain't gonna be
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: work better, come on with me to this play. You
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: understand that I'm in trouble either way.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Because of the singing.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: The same amount of vomiting going on. Come on, pop.
- 1:19:16Speaker 13: Now.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: I went to see Fences. Fences was good. That's the
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: last time I went to a Broadway play.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Today's round, I would you rather thank you?
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: Guys?
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Coming up next, last.
- 1:19:28Speaker 11: Break of the day, and we'll close out the show
- 1:19:29Speaker 11: with the one and only crazy Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 1:19:36Speaker 10: Morning show, all right.
- 1:19:37Speaker 11: Guys, Here we are, last break of the day and
- 1:19:40Speaker 11: to take us home, it's the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: You know, sometime this is I don't think I've done
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: this many times on the show before. I've done so
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: many clothing remarks, but I don't think i've touched on this.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: The best advice I can give a person be yourself.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: Be your unique individual self. See, you can hold that
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: line of being yourself. You can stay true to the
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: course of being yourself. It's hard to fake it for
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: a long time. That's why when you get a job
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: at the Post office or the government or any other
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: place that has benefits to it. Before they give you
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: a benefit package, they have a ninety day probation period
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: because in that probation period they're gonna find out in
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: the discovery process of who you really are. Now, you
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: can put whatever you want on that application, but in
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: that ninety day probation period, it's when they discover who
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: you really are. See, if they really believed everybody's application,
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: as soon as you got the job, they would just
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: give you full benefits. But that's not how a lot
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: of companies work. They waited out. And the best way
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: for you to be successful in this life is to
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: be yourself. Be uniquely. You know who you are. Establish
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: some rules about yourself. If you have decided that you
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: don't drink, then don't drink. If you decided that smoking
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: ain't for you, then stick to that. Stop letting everybody
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: sway you off the white line that you've created for yourself.
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: It's okay, and understand what you do and who you are.
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: Do you understand man, that if you stay authentically you,
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: people are attracted to people who are genuine and sincere.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: After a while, man, people get tired of you. When
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: what you say never adds up to what you do,
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: we gonna have a problem with you. After awhile I
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: found that to be the case. Man, what you say
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: and what you do has to sink and job because
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: that's who you really are. So stay authentically. Oh man,
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm against I'm against people who drink
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: a lot. And every time they with you, you drinking,
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: you can't what are you talking about. I don't like liars,
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: but every time you talking to somebody, you lying to him.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: You don't think they can see this? Stay authentically, know
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: who you are. You know I would. At the Democratic Convention,
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: I watched my brother Dale Hughgley do extremely well. He
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: was clever, he was thought provoking, and I listened to
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: d O show. Deal is my brother. Deal at the
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: times can be profound. Deal's vocabulary is extensive from the
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: background that he has and if he hasn't told you this,
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: I'll have to let him tell it. But from the
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: background he had, the way he is now, it's really
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: amazing what he's done to himself, you know, education wise.
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: So even when we were on the Kings of Comedy tour,
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: a lot of times they were interviewing us. We would
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: have DL take the lead on the interviews because we
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: enjoyed the way he talked. I tend him a text
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: after the Democratic Convention. I congratulated her. I said, I
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: was proud of you man, you did really, really well.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: I've watched him, but I know that that's not what
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: I do, and I've come to that in my life,
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: and it's okay. What I am good at is being
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: authentically me. These closing remarks are mine. They're not written down,
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: they're not stolen. It's just me speaking the way I speak,
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: and I speak from a very very common perspective. If
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: you don't understand what I'm saying is because I'm my
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: mental process is all over the place that day. But
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: for the most part, I speak very plainly. You know
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: it's not beautiful to listen to me talk. I find
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: it beautiful to find out what I think, But I
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: don't think it's that beautiful to hear me talk. But
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: I think what resonates with people with me is my authenticity.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: And be authentic to yourself. Know your brand stand for
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: something you hear people say all the time, Now stand
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: on business or do that? Find out the business you
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: in find out who the business you are and stand
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: on that and stay right there. You know, it's amazing.
- 1:24:29Speaker 11: Man.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: When a hook up with my college friends, it's fifteen
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: of us. We get together every year, it's fifteen of us.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: It's all men, and we get together and they are
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: understanding of who I am, and I'm understanding of who
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: they are. And they said, man, love, you ain't ever
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: changed in fifty years. I'm not sitting up in here.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: They've never seen me drunk. There is not a living
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: soul who can put their hand on the Bible and
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: say they I saw Steve Harvey drunk. You don't exist.
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: There's not a living soul can put their hand on
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: a Bible and say, I saw Steve Harvey getting high.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: Because you didn't. That was the brand. And I've stood
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: on that now. That don't make me better than nobody else.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: That ain't what I'm saying. I got a lot of
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: great friends that drink and get high. I know some
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: brilliant people that drink and get high. So I ain't
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: knocking it. I'm just telling you I have managed to
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: stay me. Be yourself, to thine own self, be true.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: You can hold that line a lot longer than you
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: can hold faking somebody. People will appreciate you if you
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: are who you say you are. And the only way
