- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit on the don giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like the million buck things in it to me
- 0:20Speaker 1: through good to other. Please I don't join join me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn you're going to do. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn. You haven't got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out to turn turn water the water go. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your thing, I show will good morning everybody
- 2:05Speaker 1: you are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show partickling
- 2:14Speaker 1: me this morning. Steve Harvey got a radio show feel
- 2:18Speaker 1: with nothing but joy and hope about it too. You know,
- 2:22Speaker 1: it's a great thing to be able to wake up
- 2:23Speaker 1: in the morning with peace in your heart and joy.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Peace and joy is is immeasurable. It has a value
- 2:32Speaker 1: attached to it, and I have no idea what it is.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's invaluable. It is worth so much more than any
- 2:39Speaker 1: amount of money you can make. Peace and joy. I
- 2:43Speaker 1: have not always had that. I have not always been
- 2:47Speaker 1: a peaceful person or a person who lived his life
- 2:52Speaker 1: in a joy spirit. It took an arrival at this moment.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Some people arrive sooner than others. I wish I had
- 3:01Speaker 1: arrived at this point sooner, but I think it was
- 3:05Speaker 1: necessary for me to learn a few things too. That's
- 3:08Speaker 1: the amazing thing I've learned about life is that instead
- 3:12Speaker 1: of reflecting on your past incidences and calling them failures,
- 3:19Speaker 1: instead of focusing on the negative and calling them bad times,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I look at them now as experiences. I had to
- 3:29Speaker 1: have those experiences that were negative, that were good, positive, wrong,
- 3:36Speaker 1: even I had to have all those experiences to become
- 3:41Speaker 1: to shape who we are today. We all have to
- 3:45Speaker 1: have them. If you look back at all the negative
- 3:48Speaker 1: experiences you've had, all the things that you called failures,
- 3:53Speaker 1: all the businesses I started that went under, all of
- 3:56Speaker 1: the jobs I had that I was fired from, all
- 3:59Speaker 1: the show that were canceled, all of the times I
- 4:03Speaker 1: thought I was gonna get something happened in my way
- 4:06Speaker 1: and turned out I didn't get it at all. When
- 4:08Speaker 1: you look at all of it, all of it, hopefully
- 4:12Speaker 1: along the way, what you have done as a person
- 4:14Speaker 1: is you've taken those negatives and those failures and you've
- 4:19Speaker 1: used them for what they actually are. They are experiences,
- 4:24Speaker 1: and they've now created in you an experienced person and
- 4:29Speaker 1: you know that is worth something. That's then it becomes
- 4:34Speaker 1: a positive. But what too many people do is they
- 4:38Speaker 1: let the negative things that have happened in their life.
- 4:41Speaker 1: They allow the failures that have happened in them lives
- 4:44Speaker 1: never to manifest themselves as experiences. And you sit up
- 4:48Speaker 1: there and you dwell on it, and you dwell on
- 4:51Speaker 1: it until you have this woe is me attitude. Stop
- 4:55Speaker 1: looking at it like that, y'all. You go through things
- 4:58Speaker 1: in order to become the person that you are today.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'll tell you who you sometimes have to sit down
- 5:04Speaker 1: and talk to. Sometimes you are to sit down to
- 5:06Speaker 1: an inmate that really gets it, an inmate that says, man,
- 5:11Speaker 1: I've actually heard inmates say it to me and write
- 5:13Speaker 1: to me, and they've said things like, man coming to prison,
- 5:18Speaker 1: save my life. Now, those of you have never got
- 5:20Speaker 1: how can he say a thing like that? But some men, no, Man,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I was so far out there that if I had
- 5:27Speaker 1: stayed out there, I wouldn't even be here today. This
- 5:30Speaker 1: actually allowed me to stop, spend some time with myself
- 5:33Speaker 1: and learn some things about me. Now does that happen
- 5:36Speaker 1: for everybody like that? Now? But here's a person who
- 5:39Speaker 1: was taking an experience that could be considered a failure
- 5:42Speaker 1: or a negative and turning it into a positive and
- 5:45Speaker 1: using it to enrich their lives. You can do it
- 5:48Speaker 1: no matter what your set of circumstances is. I recommend
- 5:51Speaker 1: to everybody that you try changing your outlook in order
- 5:55Speaker 1: to change your outcome. Everything that happens to you that's
- 5:59Speaker 1: negative or you can said a failure their experiences. You've
- 6:02Speaker 1: got to go through these things in order to have
- 6:04Speaker 1: the knowledge that you have today. So I wish that
- 6:07Speaker 1: I had come to this arrival, that I may now
- 6:10Speaker 1: this place of peace and joy. But then guess what,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I would not know what I know. I could not
- 6:16Speaker 1: share some of the things that I'm able to share
- 6:19Speaker 1: if I had not gone through some of them. And
- 6:21Speaker 1: sometimes that's the purpose of them, is to teach you
- 6:23Speaker 1: a lesson because you know, God has a plan for you,
- 6:26Speaker 1: He really really does. And eventually he can use you
- 6:30Speaker 1: no matter how old you are, and he can use
- 6:33Speaker 1: you no matter how young you are. If you just say, Okay,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm ready to hear your plan. I've tried mine, mine
- 6:39Speaker 1: ain't worked out. What's your plan for me? God, what
- 6:43Speaker 1: do you want me to do? That's why I say
- 6:45Speaker 1: every day Steve Harvey got radio show, y'all. Because man,
- 6:48Speaker 1: I ain't see it coming. I didn't see that coming.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I ain't see this book coming. I ain't seen I
- 6:53Speaker 1: ain't seen it. Half of the amazing things that are
- 6:56Speaker 1: happened to me, I didn't plan them. I was sitting there, man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: asking God for some direction. And then I got smart
- 7:04Speaker 1: enough to stay watchful, be a hard worker. Now because faithful,
- 7:07Speaker 1: our works is there and it came. And I'll remind
- 7:10Speaker 1: you of this. God has given all of you a gift.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Every last one of you listening has a gift. God
- 7:16Speaker 1: has never created a soul that he did not provide
- 7:19Speaker 1: a gift to. God gives everyone a gift, and a
- 7:23Speaker 1: gift is not just singing, rapping entertainment. The richer gifts
- 7:28Speaker 1: are much more than that. Teachers are gifted people who
- 7:31Speaker 1: really have the gift of sharing information. That's a gift,
- 7:36Speaker 1: you know, and in that you can become great. You
- 7:40Speaker 1: know a lot of people people think that successful and
- 7:45Speaker 1: greatness is the same thing. Cornell West said it at
- 7:48Speaker 1: my daughter's graduation. He was a spokesperson. He said something
- 7:52Speaker 1: so pointed. He said, don't ever confuse success with greatness.
- 7:57Speaker 1: The two have nothing to do with each other. See,
- 8:00Speaker 1: people determine success about money and fame and all this here,
- 8:03Speaker 1: but greatness. Greatness ain't got nothing to do with your money.
- 8:07Speaker 1: It ain't got nothing to do with your fame. It's
- 8:09Speaker 1: how you conduct your life. It's how meaningful and significant
- 8:13Speaker 1: you become in your community, at your church, on your job,
- 8:18Speaker 1: to the club scout unit that you run, to the
- 8:20Speaker 1: little girls lives that you change that that little center
- 8:23Speaker 1: in the hood. Who are you just one place of
- 8:26Speaker 1: hope to so many people and they come back. And
- 8:29Speaker 1: I used the example of lou Danzler who passed away
- 8:31Speaker 1: in LA who had the Boys and Girls Challenges Club
- 8:34Speaker 1: out in LA. And he wasn't a rich man at all,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and if you walk by him, you wouldn't even know
- 8:39Speaker 1: who he was. But if you look at all the
- 8:41Speaker 1: people who have gone on to become politicians, who have
- 8:45Speaker 1: gone on to become CEO's, who have gone on to
- 8:48Speaker 1: become athletes, that have passed through this man's small building
- 8:51Speaker 1: in the hood in La, he was great. Trust me, man,
- 8:57Speaker 1: prad changes things. I said all the time. But when
- 8:59Speaker 1: you see people become successful or great, that somebody praying
- 9:03Speaker 1: somewhere may not even beat them. Maybe it's day Mama.
- 9:06Speaker 1: You know, I think of Tiger Woods and all the
- 9:07Speaker 1: greatness he's accomplished. You know, they always talk about as
- 9:11Speaker 1: farther than all this here, somebody somewhere praying for Tiger Woods.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I got cash money riding on that Tiger Woods. Mama
- 9:19Speaker 1: is a praying woman or something. My mother was. She
- 9:22Speaker 1: prayed me into this place because she ushould call me
- 9:24Speaker 1: all the time. Praying for your boy, and prayer changes things.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It really does. Try it today. It can change you.
- 9:32Speaker 1: It has changed millions of people. Open up yourself to
- 9:35Speaker 1: the greatness that's in you because God is giving you
- 9:38Speaker 1: a gift that the fact that you ain't using it.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Who fought you think that is? I'm just telling you
- 9:43Speaker 1: you got one, and if you start praying about it,
- 9:47Speaker 1: it'll manifest itself and you can become one or two things,
- 9:51Speaker 1: successful or great or both. You can make the decision. Today.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Good morning show, ladies and gentlemen. It is here another

- 20:43Speaker 1: We don't want to. You know, the haters are in
- 20:45Speaker 1: the building. Let's just put it that way, all right,
- 20:48Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Coming up next, it is asked the
- 20:51Speaker 1: CLO Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building. Right
- 20:55Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show Coming up at the
- 21:00Speaker 1: top of the hour, the US Surgeon General will be
- 21:03Speaker 1: our very special guest. He's going to talk about COVID
- 21:06Speaker 1: nineteen vaccinations, booster shops, children's vaccinations. Get the facts at
- 21:11Speaker 1: the top of the hour with the US Surgeon General,
- 21:14Speaker 1: doctor zvec Murthy, and we will let you know. We
- 21:17Speaker 1: will keep you informed. But right now it is time
- 21:19Speaker 1: for Steve's favorite segment, asked the seats. Oh all right, Steve,
- 21:24Speaker 1: here we go. This one is from Lisa and Beaumont, Texas.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Lisa says, my husband is a great man, and he's
- 21:30Speaker 1: good on the grill, but he sucks at cooking anything
- 21:34Speaker 1: besides barbecue. I'm tired of him wasting good food and
- 21:38Speaker 1: making concoctions that I'm afraid to eat. The sniffles and
- 21:43Speaker 1: he made chicken soup, chicken noodle soup, and he had
- 21:46Speaker 1: some of everything in that soup. I was chewing corn, opra,
- 21:50Speaker 1: bacon bits and other stuff, and it tasted like tortilla soup,
- 21:54Speaker 1: but with noodles. Today he grilled lamb chops and finished
- 21:59Speaker 1: them in the microwave. They were tough as leather. Do
- 22:04Speaker 1: stop this. See if you're good on the grill, dog,
- 22:10Speaker 1: stay on the grill. So I don't come in the
- 22:13Speaker 1: house cooking. I really don't I do what I do.
- 22:16Speaker 1: You want lamb chops, you want steaks, you want ribs,
- 22:22Speaker 1: you won't kill bossy, you want chicken, you want fish.
- 22:27Speaker 1: If I'm outside and my outdoor kitchen, I'm caying out there.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I don't coming out. It ain't what I do. Marjorie
- 22:36Speaker 1: can cook everything and grill. That's bad girl. And I
- 22:40Speaker 1: ain't just bragging. I'm this girl country girl. She can
- 22:43Speaker 1: really cook. I ain't that good in the kitchen with
- 22:45Speaker 1: all this stuff. I make my eggs and go sit
- 22:47Speaker 1: on sitting my ass down. But now you come outside
- 22:49Speaker 1: on that grill. I can't say this to her. She
- 22:54Speaker 1: can't hold a candle to me out there on that
- 22:56Speaker 1: damn grill. No, hell no, why whispering. You think she's
- 23:01Speaker 1: gonna you don't think she's gonna hear this. She does. Listen,
- 23:07Speaker 1: show thank you, that's what you'd be telling me. Listen
- 23:11Speaker 1: what you're saying food. Yeah, that's why I'm whispend time
- 23:19Speaker 1: right here, right here. She's not gonna hear this part
- 23:24Speaker 1: right here. Okay, so that's to stay your ass only
- 23:27Speaker 1: gal time. Alright. Moving on, Nina and Tallahassee says, I've
- 23:32Speaker 1: been with my boyfriend for almost four years. He's twenty seven,
- 23:36Speaker 1: and he has a great job working with older black
- 23:38Speaker 1: men that he looks up to. He started smoking cigars
- 23:42Speaker 1: and he drinks alcohol more often. What's really shocking is
- 23:46Speaker 1: all of the new stuff he's doing in the bedroom
- 23:49Speaker 1: and the new brand of condoms he uses. Now. He
- 23:52Speaker 1: told me that the old men give great advice and
- 23:55Speaker 1: put him up on game. Is it the old men's
- 23:57Speaker 1: advice or a new woman. No, it's it's the old
- 24:01Speaker 1: man advice. I mean, look at what he's doing. Ain't
- 24:04Speaker 1: no woman coming in here tell me y'all to try
- 24:06Speaker 1: this new brand to condom. That's old dude conversation. That's
- 24:10Speaker 1: an old dude he telling you the truth. The cigars
- 24:13Speaker 1: that look at he getting that from an old dude.
- 24:16Speaker 1: You ain't got nothing to worry about. What you're what
- 24:18Speaker 1: you're trying to make something up for, he said, Man,
- 24:23Speaker 1: got great advice. Well what you're in there? Or you
- 24:26Speaker 1: ain't old? I see what you're doing. Oh you ain't
- 24:28Speaker 1: an old Oh oh oh, I see, or you don't
- 24:31Speaker 1: know the hill move. I called it the WILLI coochie.
- 24:38Speaker 1: You ain't never tried to WILLI couch you, Hi boy?
- 24:41Speaker 1: Sit down over that limit ted so or you put
- 24:44Speaker 1: that WILLI coochie on him. I'm trying to tell you
- 24:48Speaker 1: something now that you haven't come back mote and then
- 24:53Speaker 1: any time. And then young boys sitting there going wow, Man,
- 24:55Speaker 1: these cats know because old dudes know something. That's how
- 24:58Speaker 1: the old dudes turn boys into me. Take advantage of this.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Enjoy yourself, all right. Moving on to Claire and Indiana.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Claire Rights, I was dating a guy for a short
- 25:08Speaker 1: period of time, and it made me feel like some
- 25:10Speaker 1: kind of nasty woman because of my sexual preferences. I
- 25:13Speaker 1: am abstaining from intercourse now, but I absolutely love providing
- 25:18Speaker 1: a little oral situation for a man if it gets
- 25:20Speaker 1: to that point. My X got hooked up almost daily,
- 25:23Speaker 1: but he said it wasn't enough and he needed a
- 25:25Speaker 1: better connection with me. I feel bad for even trying
- 25:28Speaker 1: to please him. Should I abstain from that too? Wow, Claire,
- 25:36Speaker 1: I ain't trying to well, seeing it's how you know,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I don't really know. You know, I ain't got nothing
- 25:46Speaker 1: to base it on. You know, I can't say it.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I don't know what you want to say to you,
- 25:50Speaker 1: laid him. I got nothing against it, but I'm I
- 25:54Speaker 1: don't know how you want me to tell you to
- 25:56Speaker 1: go about it. I don't know. You know, maybe you know,
- 26:00Speaker 1: maybe you ain't what you thank he is. You know,
- 26:02Speaker 1: you know you got to reconsider. Maybe I don't well.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Next question, Yeah, let's move on, all right. Trendity in Milwaukee,
- 26:11Speaker 1: it says six months ago, I got a mommy makeover
- 26:16Speaker 1: and I'm building up my self confidence again. My husband
- 26:19Speaker 1: and I are in our mid forties, but my husband
- 26:22Speaker 1: acts like an old man. I dressing more trendy outfits
- 26:26Speaker 1: to show off my flat tummy for the first time
- 26:29Speaker 1: in many years, and he can't stand it. He said,
- 26:32Speaker 1: I need to dress more tastefully. I told him he
- 26:35Speaker 1: needs to makeover so we can both be fly. He
- 26:38Speaker 1: got mad and won't speak to me. He can dish it,
- 26:42Speaker 1: but he can't take it. How is this all he
- 26:45Speaker 1: does is critique me? Should I apologize? Any dish it
- 26:50Speaker 1: and can't take it? Male ego is so damned fragile.
- 26:54Speaker 1: But if he gonna dish it, got to be able
- 26:57Speaker 1: to take it. If you're living in a glass house,
- 27:00Speaker 1: don't throw those stones temptations. Now, I know that temptation
- 27:06Speaker 1: didn't write there, but they got held us all. If
- 27:08Speaker 1: you're living in the glass house, don't throw those stones.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Come on, if you're living in the glass high house,
- 27:19Speaker 1: don't throw no stones. Are you answering her? No? He
- 27:31Speaker 1: got very to take it. Keep wearing your office girls, stay, fly,
- 27:35Speaker 1: fly to your dad. He acts old, don't say all.
- 27:38Speaker 1: A lot of dudes just letting it come get him.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I'm not doing that. So congratulations, we're looking flying and
- 27:43Speaker 1: he's mad, a little bit jealous. I don't know what
- 27:46Speaker 1: to tell you, but don't keep laying that. But you
- 27:48Speaker 1: gotta tell you man. Your man can't give you constructive criticism,
- 27:51Speaker 1: and you not be allowed to give him constructions constructive
- 27:54Speaker 1: criticism right now. I know what a mommy maker is,
- 27:58Speaker 1: but I haven't really heard of God's getting makeovers. Well
- 28:02Speaker 1: here it is. You know, fellas you get up in age,
- 28:06Speaker 1: hair growing places in your nostrils, in your ear, buy
- 28:09Speaker 1: that little thing that target, the little tweezer thing that
- 28:13Speaker 1: shave you, and run that thing in your nostrils. Quit
- 28:16Speaker 1: letting have grow in your damn nostrils. I'm looking up
- 28:20Speaker 1: your nose and see all this gray hair. Get that
- 28:23Speaker 1: out of here. You're shaved, your bushes down out your ears.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Just make you look old. Now, look, man, here's another
- 28:33Speaker 1: thing you could do. I do it for TV, for
- 28:34Speaker 1: my brand. I use just for me and on my
- 28:36Speaker 1: much dask because I got a brain. But you don't
- 28:39Speaker 1: have to do that. You don't have to. But if
- 28:42Speaker 1: your gray ain't coming in right, and you got two
- 28:44Speaker 1: three strands and always look like you got something on
- 28:46Speaker 1: your face, get your ass a little bit of just
- 28:50Speaker 1: for men and just touch it. That's all dog until
- 28:53Speaker 1: you get a little more gray, because they look bad
- 28:55Speaker 1: when it's gray every three inches, because now I look
- 28:59Speaker 1: like you got stuff on your face. Great different advice,
- 29:05Speaker 1: great advice. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:08Speaker 1: the Surgeon General of the United States. We'll talk about
- 29:11Speaker 1: COVID nineteen vaccinations, all of that right after this. You're listening. Hey,
- 29:20Speaker 1: I'll distinguished guests this morning. Everybody's the twenty first Surgeon
- 29:23Speaker 1: General of the United States and he's joining us because
- 29:26Speaker 1: we want to discuss the new developments in the COVID
- 29:30Speaker 1: pandemic and whether or not we should be concerned about
- 29:33Speaker 1: a spike in COVID cases over the holidays. And we're
- 29:37Speaker 1: happy to have him join us because we have questions.
- 29:39Speaker 1: So let's get to it. Please, welcome to the show,
- 29:42Speaker 1: doctor Vivic Murthy Is it Vivic? Did I get that right? Lake? Oh? Oh? Vic?
- 29:53Speaker 1: Hey man, We're happy to have you back, man and
- 29:56Speaker 1: tell you five year old son Uncle Steve said hello, Oh,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I will tell him. You're looking at me right now
- 30:02Speaker 1: about all right? Hey? Hey, sorry, So tell us, man,
- 30:07Speaker 1: why do we staying right now in the COVID pandemic?
- 30:09Speaker 1: Are things getting better? So I'm glad you asked you so,
- 30:14Speaker 1: because we've been at this for about twenty two months
- 30:16Speaker 1: now going on, and I know folks are tired, but
- 30:20Speaker 1: we have come a long way and I want people
- 30:22Speaker 1: to know why. So if you compare now to where
- 30:26Speaker 1: we were last year. Last year we didn't even have
- 30:28Speaker 1: the vaccine, but now we've got over one hundred and
- 30:31Speaker 1: ninety million people who are fully vaccinated. That means that
- 30:35Speaker 1: one hundred ninety million people whose chances of ending up
- 30:38Speaker 1: in the hospital or nine from COVID are dramatically lower
- 30:41Speaker 1: than those who are not vaccine. That's a good thing.
- 30:44Speaker 1: We also have two oral medications that could be taken
- 30:47Speaker 1: by mouth that are on the horizon. They haven't been
- 30:50Speaker 1: approved yet more authorized by the FDA, but they're in
- 30:53Speaker 1: the process, in the pipeline, if you will, and the
- 30:55Speaker 1: early results have been promising, so that's good news as well.
- 31:00Speaker 1: And the other big thing is that our kids are
- 31:01Speaker 1: back in school. And you know, I say that as
- 31:03Speaker 1: a dad who's got two kids who were home with
- 31:06Speaker 1: me the entire pandemic last year, and now they're back
- 31:09Speaker 1: in school like millions of other kids. So that's a
- 31:12Speaker 1: good thing for our children, for their help and their learning.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But we're not out of the woods yet. You know.
- 31:16Speaker 1: We've come down certainly from the peak of cases that
- 31:19Speaker 1: we had with the delta wave, but we still have
- 31:21Speaker 1: about between seventy five to eighty thousand cases a day
- 31:25Speaker 1: that we're finding, and the cases in the especially in
- 31:27Speaker 1: colder weather regions where people are going indoors are starting
- 31:31Speaker 1: to tick up. So that means we've still got to
- 31:32Speaker 1: be vigilant. We still have to get vaccineative or not.
- 31:35Speaker 1: If you are eligibly get boosted, you absolutely should because
- 31:38Speaker 1: that will help protect you during this winter. Hey, let
- 31:41Speaker 1: me ask you a question about something you just spoke about.
- 31:43Speaker 1: This all medicine. Is that a form of vaccine or
- 31:46Speaker 1: is that something to fight the symptoms of COVID. Yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I'm really glad you brought that up. So the oral
- 31:52Speaker 1: medicines are there to help you if you get COVID.
- 31:56Speaker 1: They don't prevent COVID. It's not something you take just
- 32:00Speaker 1: david off. But the other important thing to know about
- 32:02Speaker 1: the world medicines is, you know, one of them has
- 32:03Speaker 1: shown that it reduces your chances of ending of them
- 32:07Speaker 1: the hospital dying by fifty percent, and other the other
- 32:10Speaker 1: medicine showed that it reduced those chances by eighty nine percent.
- 32:13Speaker 1: That's really good. But there's one hundred percent way to
- 32:15Speaker 1: reduce your chance of getting in the hospital or dying
- 32:18Speaker 1: from COVID, and that's not getting COVID in the first place.
- 32:21Speaker 1: And that's why getting the vaccine is so important. Taking
- 32:23Speaker 1: these precautions, it's so important. We would rather people prevent
- 32:26Speaker 1: the illness than get it. Hey, before we get into
- 32:29Speaker 1: this about the children, let me ask you a question.
- 32:31Speaker 1: What do you say to people who still don't want
- 32:37Speaker 1: to get vaccinated because they say they don't have enough information.
- 32:41Speaker 1: They think something's in it that hurt, that's harmful. What
- 32:44Speaker 1: I'd say to all those who have questions is, you know,
- 32:47Speaker 1: I get why your questions are important to answer, and
- 32:49Speaker 1: I get why you might have them. But I'm also
- 32:51Speaker 1: worried that there's a lot of misinformation circulating on social
- 32:56Speaker 1: media and other channels that's leading people to worry about
- 33:00Speaker 1: side effects and are real. For example, we know that
- 33:03Speaker 1: there are a lot of folks out there who are
- 33:05Speaker 1: worried that the vaccine may cause infertility, or that it
- 33:08Speaker 1: may cause mutations in your DNA where that it may
- 33:12Speaker 1: cause COVID itself. None of those are true, but we've
- 33:15Speaker 1: seen those rumors. They've been kicked up on social media,
- 33:17Speaker 1: but they're not true at all. They're not based in science. Well,
- 33:20Speaker 1: here's what we do know, and keep in mind, it's
- 33:23Speaker 1: not just a couple of people gone this vaccine. Now
- 33:25Speaker 1: we've administered more than four hundred and twenty five million
- 33:28Speaker 1: doses of the vaccine in the United States alone and
- 33:30Speaker 1: billions of doses around the world. What we've learned are
- 33:33Speaker 1: two really important things. One is that the vaccine is
- 33:36Speaker 1: really effective at preventing the worst outcomes from COVID. It
- 33:39Speaker 1: will save your life. And the second thing we've learned
- 33:42Speaker 1: is that the vaccine has a remarkably strong safety profile.
- 33:46Speaker 1: You know, as a doctor, I prescribe many vaccines over
- 33:49Speaker 1: the years to adults, our kids, certainly my kids and
- 33:53Speaker 1: other kids get many vaccines, you know, as they grow up.
- 33:56Speaker 1: But you know, overall, as far as vaccines go, this
- 33:59Speaker 1: is one of the most safe and effective vaccines you know,
- 34:03Speaker 1: that we've got out there. So I want people to
- 34:06Speaker 1: know that, and please, you know, talk to your doctor
- 34:08Speaker 1: if you have a doctor, you know, to understand more
- 34:11Speaker 1: about the vaccine. If you've got questions, or you know,
- 34:13Speaker 1: talk to another credible source, your local health department, your
- 34:16Speaker 1: local children's hospital. But don't don't trust the random articles
- 34:19Speaker 1: that you might see floating around on the internet, because
- 34:22Speaker 1: they're not always true. Let's talk about the vaccination for kids.
- 34:26Speaker 1: For children, specifically age five and oh, why is that
- 34:30Speaker 1: important for eligible children to get vaccinated. This is a
- 34:35Speaker 1: really important moment. It's a landmark, really moment in our
- 34:39Speaker 1: fight against COVID. Finally we've bet a vaccine for kids
- 34:41Speaker 1: side through eleven. No one of my kids is in
- 34:44Speaker 1: that range. He's five. He's landing right in the right
- 34:48Speaker 1: next to me at this moment as I'm talking to
- 34:49Speaker 1: is holding my hand, looking at me and uh and
- 34:52Speaker 1: you know, I love him to death and that would
- 34:54Speaker 1: do anything for him. And that's how all parents are
- 34:56Speaker 1: about their kids. They want to really ultimately look out
- 34:58Speaker 1: for the best for the help to their children. It's
- 35:01Speaker 1: number one in the studies that we're done with thousands
- 35:03Speaker 1: of children. The clinical trials, they showed that this from
- 35:06Speaker 1: vaccine worked really well. It was more than ninety one
- 35:09Speaker 1: percent effective for around ninety one percent in terms of
- 35:12Speaker 1: its epic is in preventing symptomatic COVID. The second thing
- 35:15Speaker 1: that was a safety profile was really good. The side
- 35:18Speaker 1: effects that kids primarily had were a sore arm, fatigue,
- 35:22Speaker 1: a headache, a fever that lasted maybe a day or two.
- 35:25Speaker 1: And then we're left with protection against a vaccine. That
- 35:28Speaker 1: is a really big deal and especially as winners is coming.
- 35:32Speaker 1: It's here in many parts of the country already. The
- 35:35Speaker 1: virus is easier to transmit when there's cold, dry air,
- 35:38Speaker 1: and you know, we know people are getting together an
- 35:40Speaker 1: indoor settings. Families want to get together for the holidays.
- 35:43Speaker 1: So getting your child vaccinated is a way to reduce
- 35:46Speaker 1: their risk during this winter season. And if you do
- 35:49Speaker 1: it actually this week, you'll be able to get your
- 35:52Speaker 1: child fully vaccinated in time for Christmas. Yeah. Hey, well listen,
- 35:55Speaker 1: stay right there, Doco. We're going to come right back.
- 35:57Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more with the Surgeon General
- 36:00Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, everybody, We're back
- 36:05Speaker 1: in our special guests this morning as a twenty first
- 36:08Speaker 1: Surgeon General of the United States, doctor Vibic Murty uh.
- 36:13Speaker 1: And once again, for those of you that don't like
- 36:16Speaker 1: the pronunciation of his name coming from me, it is
- 36:19Speaker 1: because my Slovenian accidents are not I'm covering all the
- 36:26Speaker 1: bases in the Eastern York thing you want to cover
- 36:29Speaker 1: out do that. But this this brother right here is fantastic. Hey,
- 36:32Speaker 1: we were talking about when we left, we were talking
- 36:34Speaker 1: about the pandemic as a getting better. There's been some improvement.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Over one hundred and ninety some million people in this
- 36:42Speaker 1: country have been fully vaccinated. That's a great step. Well,
- 36:47Speaker 1: you know something, doctor, I think this was important to
- 36:50Speaker 1: hear from you, from our surgeon General. I know it's
- 36:54Speaker 1: people out there still got there. But like you say,
- 36:57Speaker 1: if you get your information from credible sources, that could
- 37:01Speaker 1: help you. Please everybody, get off the internet and talk
- 37:07Speaker 1: to your doctors, talk to your medical professionals who do
- 37:12Speaker 1: this for a living, who are basing this around science.
- 37:15Speaker 1: So and now I'll help us all. You know, I
- 37:17Speaker 1: really appreciate this because people want to know about their kids.
- 37:20Speaker 1: That's a vaccination out there available for kids between five
- 37:23Speaker 1: and eleven, ninety one percent effective rate. We've had over
- 37:27Speaker 1: one hundred and ninety some million people vaccinated fully in
- 37:30Speaker 1: this country. We're on our way to getting our hands
- 37:33Speaker 1: around this thing. If we could get everybody to participate
- 37:37Speaker 1: and stop lying. But I also am fully vaccinated, absolutely
- 37:43Speaker 1: seeven if I could see one last thing kids, the
- 37:46Speaker 1: folks who are listening, that last point you raised about
- 37:50Speaker 1: making sure you're getting information for the right sources is
- 37:52Speaker 1: absolutely important. You know, I wouldn't ask my electrician for
- 37:56Speaker 1: medical advice and I certainly wouldn't ask my doctor for
- 37:59Speaker 1: advice on my electrical system in my house. But if
- 38:02Speaker 1: you've gotten if you've got a relative out there who's
- 38:05Speaker 1: trying to tell you what you should and shouldn't do
- 38:07Speaker 1: about the vaccine, and there they've got misinformation there, just remember,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you know, you can love your relatives, but you know,
- 38:13Speaker 1: it doesn't mean you got to trust everything that's coming
- 38:15Speaker 1: from them. And unfortunately, we do have well intentioned family
- 38:18Speaker 1: members in my family too, who are sending messages out
- 38:22Speaker 1: over text threads and emails and on social media because
- 38:25Speaker 1: they think they're trying to warn their family, but actually
- 38:28Speaker 1: information may not be accurate, So you know, don't I
- 38:31Speaker 1: don't blame people, you know, necessarily for inadvertently spreading this,
- 38:34Speaker 1: but just remember before you click share, you know, on
- 38:36Speaker 1: an article on social media, just ask yourself, is it
- 38:39Speaker 1: really coming preto credible source? Do I know? And if
- 38:42Speaker 1: you're not sure, don't share. We put out a community
- 38:44Speaker 1: toolkit for people to understand a little bit more about
- 38:47Speaker 1: how to identify misinformation went's out there, how to talk
- 38:50Speaker 1: to family members about that. People can find that at
- 38:52Speaker 1: surge in general dot gov. But bottom line is we
- 38:54Speaker 1: want you to be safe. We want you to have
- 38:56Speaker 1: accurate information to protect your health in your family, and
- 38:59Speaker 1: the SEEN is one powerful step to We're protecting all
- 39:02Speaker 1: of us between COVID. Absolutely. Thank you so much, ladies
- 39:05Speaker 1: and gentlemen, Our Sergeant General of the United States, thank
- 39:07Speaker 1: you for calling, sir, Thanks so much. Steve gets to
- 39:10Speaker 1: talk to us always. He all right, my brother, Yes, sir,
- 39:13Speaker 1: thank you, Doctor Murphy. The Steve Harvey Morning Show is
- 39:16Speaker 1: here to give you only the facts, ladies and gentlemen.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Now coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:22Speaker 1: we're gonna check out Steve's voicemail right after this. You're
- 39:25Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, it is
- 39:30Speaker 1: time now to check your voicemail. Eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,

- 45:37Speaker 1: to meet there by the afternoon. Okay, Uh? Is missus purvis?
- 45:42Speaker 1: Is she is your mama making the the dresses? Yeah,
- 45:45Speaker 1: she's making enough for about forty five people. We actually, um,
- 45:49Speaker 1: this was discussed about a month ago, right y'all on
- 45:52Speaker 1: the y'all they had the U conference call, the conference
- 45:55Speaker 1: good family had the conference call, right yes, sir? Okay, Nah, listen,
- 46:00Speaker 1: what reason why they got me to call? They wanted
- 46:03Speaker 1: me to go in and call and and I was
- 46:05Speaker 1: trying to give me this pervious she's not there. You
- 46:07Speaker 1: know she's not here. What's wrong? Uh? Okay, they're not
- 46:11Speaker 1: gonna they're not gonna need her to do them to
- 46:14Speaker 1: do the dressing. And why wouldn't they need to do
- 46:16Speaker 1: dress She's been making it for ten years. We just
- 46:19Speaker 1: we just discussed it. So what do you mean they
- 46:21Speaker 1: say that they got somebody down here that's gonna do
- 46:23Speaker 1: the dresses, espially since y'all traveling y'all ain't got to
- 46:26Speaker 1: bring it, you know, and be traveling with it. But
- 46:28Speaker 1: they got somebody gonna do the dressing. Okay, Well, first
- 46:31Speaker 1: of all, how are you you're you're Benji? What is
- 46:34Speaker 1: your name? That was not my name, Benjamin, but they
- 46:36Speaker 1: called me Benji. But but but like I say, uh,
- 46:40Speaker 1: I'm on the other side of a fam I ain't
- 46:42Speaker 1: on y'all side. Okay. Well, I'm still trying to fig
- 46:45Speaker 1: out why are you calling me? Because she's been making
- 46:48Speaker 1: a dressing for ten years, like I said, and I
- 46:50Speaker 1: mean it's been discussed. So I don't even know why
- 46:53Speaker 1: why you're calling me. I don't even know you. Okay, Well,
- 46:56Speaker 1: what I'm trying to explain to you just right here
- 46:58Speaker 1: is that they got something y'all. Y'all, I all ain't
- 47:00Speaker 1: got to worry with bringing the dressing. They got somebody
- 47:03Speaker 1: gonna bring They got somebody down here that's gonna cook it.
- 47:06Speaker 1: So and don'twhere with you know, if you can tell
- 47:09Speaker 1: Miss Pervi ain't got to worry about the dressing this year.
- 47:11Speaker 1: I'm so you want me to tell my mama after
- 47:14Speaker 1: she'd been making dressing for ten years that y'all say
- 47:17Speaker 1: y'all ain't worried about she shouldn't have to make it
- 47:19Speaker 1: this year because we're driving there. We drive every year,
- 47:21Speaker 1: So I'm not gonna do that to her. So, I mean,
- 47:24Speaker 1: I don't I don't even know who you are to
- 47:26Speaker 1: be calling me anyway. Why didn't somebody calling me that
- 47:29Speaker 1: I don't know regarding it? Okay, okay, you're good the right,
- 47:32Speaker 1: I am blended? All right. Listen, let me say this
- 47:35Speaker 1: because I don't mind saying what everybody thinking, but most
- 47:39Speaker 1: people don't want to say. Let me just say this
- 47:41Speaker 1: right here. Really, what's going on is just right here.
- 47:44Speaker 1: A lot of people in the family you know, don't
- 47:48Speaker 1: really don't don't really lighten Miss Prayer of his dressing.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Dni Benjamin, who you're supposed to be, Let me spot
- 47:59Speaker 1: this up. Need my mama gonna make it dressing, you
- 48:03Speaker 1: gonna keep it, and we ain't bringing that home with us.
- 48:06Speaker 1: So you can tell your family that I said that
- 48:09Speaker 1: because you understand me. I mean, for first of all,
- 48:12Speaker 1: you got to understand that I'm bringing news that that
- 48:15Speaker 1: people didn't don't voted on, and this is what everybody
- 48:17Speaker 1: want to do, don't nobody, Well, why didn't knick house.
- 48:20Speaker 1: We had a meeting from dressing. She been making it
- 48:23Speaker 1: ten years, ain't Nobody had been saying nothing and against
- 48:26Speaker 1: what one of them up to the house. Nobody did
- 48:29Speaker 1: not be walking up and through that. I'm talking about
- 48:30Speaker 1: my mamma either, And you know I'm gonna eat it. Okay,
- 48:34Speaker 1: we'll see right there. Why why if people don't like
- 48:36Speaker 1: the dressing, Glenda, why do you want to make submit
- 48:39Speaker 1: everybody to have it to eat it? If they don't
- 48:41Speaker 1: like it, you don't eat That's how I don't know.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I don't know. You want to call me, well, I
- 48:45Speaker 1: don't know, no Benjamin Benjie who I I mama Lord's
- 48:50Speaker 1: nephew from the other side of the family exactly, And
- 48:53Speaker 1: they don't know you, okay, And it really really to
- 48:56Speaker 1: the bad all that I don't really know you. But
- 48:58Speaker 1: I'm but I'm but I'm man, a man another car
- 49:01Speaker 1: you and tell you what we're gonna do, what we
- 49:03Speaker 1: ain't gonna do, what I know I ain't. I say
- 49:07Speaker 1: it wasn't I repeated again. She gonna make that transfix.
- 49:10Speaker 1: You gonna eat it, and we're gonna rod my name, Okay, okay,
- 49:14Speaker 1: right there, listen, and I know this might be hard
- 49:17Speaker 1: for you to understand what you grew up with liking
- 49:21Speaker 1: everybody else might not like even say what you want to.
- 49:24Speaker 1: I ain't gonna even you be white, so you read
- 49:28Speaker 1: it like it because you ain't done around. But she
- 49:30Speaker 1: make it dress it now. First of all, when y'all
- 49:33Speaker 1: get down here, it's gonna already be some more dressing
- 49:36Speaker 1: hill okay, okay, and she gonna make cuts her and
- 49:38Speaker 1: sense and we're gonna see down and we got I'm
- 49:40Speaker 1: gonna eat. And he didn't say it's not even many
- 49:43Speaker 1: means discuss my friend and that I said, I don't
- 49:45Speaker 1: like say because your name's gonna hurt my mama feeling. Okay,
- 49:48Speaker 1: there ain't nobody to try that. Why I'm trying to
- 49:50Speaker 1: tell you to tell her don't make it nah, so
- 49:52Speaker 1: she won't even bring it down. We aren't gonna get anyway. Hey, look,
- 49:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this hell because every dealer you are
- 50:00Speaker 1: really understanding what I'm saying to you. I'm gonna say

- 50:07Speaker 1: got dressing. Mate, we're throwing that dressing in the trash
- 50:11Speaker 1: so everybody can get the dressing that we made fun
- 50:14Speaker 1: of him. Floy Blake, that's what we're doing. Please let
- 50:17Speaker 1: me splay something in you. I'm gonna be undressing Patroll
- 50:21Speaker 1: and if I find out you then through my MAM's
- 50:23Speaker 1: dressing in the trash, it's gonna be something and we're

- 54:37Speaker 1: is the strong very Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject, She's
- 54:40Speaker 1: way too comfortable. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a twenty nine
- 54:45Speaker 1: year old man and I was dating an almost perfect
- 54:47Speaker 1: woman until recently. We met at the wedding of one
- 54:51Speaker 1: of my oldest friends, and my friend had lots of
- 54:54Speaker 1: great things to say about her. That would seven months ago,
- 54:57Speaker 1: and we were taking time to get to know each
- 55:00Speaker 1: each other. She's two years older than me and further
- 55:03Speaker 1: along in her career than I am, but she's never
- 55:06Speaker 1: made a big deal out of it. We started attending
- 55:09Speaker 1: church together right away, and I've met her family and friends,
- 55:13Speaker 1: and she's met my mother. My mother didn't have much
- 55:17Speaker 1: to say about her, and that bothered me. A few
- 55:20Speaker 1: weeks later, my mother called me and said, my girlfriend
- 55:23Speaker 1: has mannerisms of a trifling woman. She told me that
- 55:28Speaker 1: my kitchen should have been clean, and there should have
- 55:30Speaker 1: been the basic things like an adequate amount of bottle
- 55:33Speaker 1: of water and liquid soap in the kitchen and both
- 55:36Speaker 1: of my bathrooms. I didn't know what that meant until recently,
- 55:40Speaker 1: when I started leaving my girlfriend alone at my house
- 55:43Speaker 1: when I go on work trips. I came home one
- 55:46Speaker 1: day to find her dirty clothes in a pile on
- 55:48Speaker 1: the floor of my closet, and she said she didn't
- 55:51Speaker 1: know where else to put them. The bed looked like
- 55:53Speaker 1: it hadn't been made up since I left, and she
- 55:56Speaker 1: said she intended to wash the sheets before I came home.
- 56:01Speaker 1: That's not the half of it, though. She now comes
- 56:04Speaker 1: into the bathroom and uses the bathroom while I'm in
- 56:07Speaker 1: the shower or brushing my teeth. She's spend every night
- 56:10Speaker 1: at my house since then, and whenever she goes back
- 56:13Speaker 1: to her house, she brings more clothes to my guest room.
- 56:17Speaker 1: My mother was right, and I wish I had paid
- 56:21Speaker 1: more attention. I want to be with her, but she's
- 56:23Speaker 1: too comfortable and taking over my home. How do I
- 56:27Speaker 1: slow things down a bit and get her back into
- 56:29Speaker 1: her own house. Okay, I'm trying to assess what the
- 56:35Speaker 1: problem is and what you really want and why, because
- 56:40Speaker 1: at the beginning of this letter, when you guys, you know,
- 56:42Speaker 1: met and everything, and you didn't have an issue with
- 56:44Speaker 1: this woman, you said she was almost perfect, almost perfect
- 56:48Speaker 1: until your mom stepped in and said she had trifling ways.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Your mom had a small list of wrong things in
- 56:55Speaker 1: your house that she held your girlfriend accountable for, things
- 56:59Speaker 1: like soap in the bathrooms, in the kitchen, no bottled water,
- 57:02Speaker 1: and the messy kitchen too. I agree that if your
- 57:06Speaker 1: girl is staying there, she should at least make sure
- 57:09Speaker 1: she cleans up after herself. I have no problem with that,
- 57:11Speaker 1: But it sounds like your girl is thinking she's a guest.
- 57:15Speaker 1: She's thinking herself as a guest, not the woman of
- 57:17Speaker 1: the house. Right now, you know what I say, don't
- 57:21Speaker 1: be a mama's boy. Here, have your own grown man
- 57:24Speaker 1: conversation with your girlfriend and discuss these boundaries in the
- 57:28Speaker 1: bathroom and stuff that you don't like, you know, meaning
- 57:31Speaker 1: her staying at your house too much. All that. Discuss
- 57:34Speaker 1: everything with her. Remember you said you were taking time
- 57:38Speaker 1: to get to know each other, and that's a process,
- 57:41Speaker 1: and talking and communicating, it's all a major part of that.
- 57:45Speaker 1: See how she receives this conversation. If she receives it
- 57:48Speaker 1: negatively positively, and then go from there. And by the way,
- 57:52Speaker 1: have you been to her house because you didn't mention
- 57:55Speaker 1: that was her house clean. If it's a mess and
- 57:58Speaker 1: you like a clean then you guys have a real problem.
- 58:01Speaker 1: The point is you should handle this situation, not your mom, Steve, Nope, Shirley,
- 58:10Speaker 1: I appreciate it. This young man has a different problem.
- 58:17Speaker 1: This boy right here, Lord him moving too fast? Boy,
- 58:21Speaker 1: We're just moving too fast. Twenty nine year old guy
- 58:27Speaker 1: the Tyler letters, she weighed too comfortable. Oh boy, I
- 58:30Speaker 1: will watch How to Teach You Something Sun. Twenty nine
- 58:34Speaker 1: year old man. I was dating an almost perfect woman. Keyword,
- 58:37Speaker 1: I was dating an almost perfect woman. There are none
- 58:40Speaker 1: of them, so there are none. There are no perfect men,
- 58:45Speaker 1: there are no perfect relationships, there are no perfect people.
- 58:51Speaker 1: When you thought that, you was only setting yourself up
- 58:56Speaker 1: for the let down. So let's go on and start.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Met at the wedding of one of my oldest friends.
- 59:02Speaker 1: My friends had a lot of great things to say
- 59:04Speaker 1: about her. That was seven months ago. We were taking
- 59:08Speaker 1: time to get to know each other. But watch this.
- 59:11Speaker 1: She's two years older than me and further along in
- 59:14Speaker 1: her career than I am. But she never made a
- 59:16Speaker 1: big deal out of that. We started attending church together
- 59:19Speaker 1: right away, and I met her family and friends, and
- 59:21Speaker 1: she's met my mother. My mother didn't have much to
- 59:25Speaker 1: say about her, and that bothered me. A few weeks later,
- 59:28Speaker 1: my mother called me and said, my girlfriend has mannerisms
- 59:33Speaker 1: of a trifling woman. Oh, you casted you. That's gonna
- 59:38Speaker 1: Perkerman's kids back when her mama, when a man's mama
- 59:42Speaker 1: made that assessment. It don't make you a mama's boys,
- 59:45Speaker 1: just her assessment. Now, I could have called this to Mamma,
- 59:48Speaker 1: just don't like and she hating, she over protective. I
- 59:51Speaker 1: could go there, but that's not the case. She called
- 59:55Speaker 1: and said that after a few weeks, and then the
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: reason she told us what I didn't agree with. She
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: said the kitchen should have been clean, and that should
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: have been basic things like adequate amount of bottle water
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and liquid soaping the kitchen on both of my bathrooms.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I ain't know what that meant me either dog, I
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: don't eat, so what do they ain't No, damn bottle
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: water isn't there. I got a big ass house and
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: pay people and sometimes ain't. No, damn bottle water isn't
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: now here's will roll because of this, But that's neither
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: here nor that. Okay, I got hang on. We'll have
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: part two of your response coming up in twenty three minutes.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: After the subject of today's strawberry letter is she's way
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: too comfortable. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. The subject She's way too comfortable. Well,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: let me. I'm gonna teach you something about being a
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: young man. So listen up. This is gonna be good.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: You're twenty nine year od dude. Day knew woman a
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: couple of years old, and you you met out of
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: way and everything was going to God. You've met her
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: and you thought she was at almost perfect woman, which
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: was setting yourself up for this letter because there are
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: none of those out there, and there are no perfect
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: men out there. So now that she was looking for
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: near perfection and you found out it ain't there. Now
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: you're gonna write into the radio show. So well, here
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: we go. But you wrote in Uncle Steve. So that's
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: good because I'm gonna teach you something. Man, she makes
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: more money than you. Never made a big deal out
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: of it. Y'all immediately started attending the church and everybody
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you met her family, you met your family. That thing
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: to Ball that you was. Your mother didn't have much
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to say about it at Ball, that you and I understand.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: But a couple of weeks later, your mama called and
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: your mama said that your girlfriend has mannerisms of a
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: trifling woman. Now that perks a young man's ears back
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: when his mother says that because he loves his mother.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Most men are looking for their mama or traits like
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: or inner woman. So when your mama said your girlfriend
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: got mannerisms of a trifling woman, that's different. So and
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: she told me that your kitchen should have been clean
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: and should have been basic things like adequate amount of
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: out of water liquid soap in the kitchen and both
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: of my bathrooms. I don't know what that meant well
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: me either, Dog be honest with you, I don't either.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: You can come over my house and not bring no
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: damn bottle water. I can deal with that. You ain't
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: got to put soap in the kitchen on the bathroom. Hell,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: wipe your hands off, run them under some water, wipe
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: your hands off, come on back in here. But that's
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: neither hear nor that. And then he started figuring out
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: when I started leaving my girlfriend alone in my house
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: when I go on work trips. I came home one
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: day to found dirty clothes in the pile on the
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: floor in the closet. The girl told you she didn't
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: know where else to put them, but the bed looked
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: like they had been made up since I left. She
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: said she intended to wash the sheets before I came home.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: And but that ain't the half of it. She now
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: comes into the bathroom and use this the bathroom while
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: let me in the shower or brushing my teeth. This
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: where the latter took a turn. What was that sound?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: That's a cost slamming on break what I'm in here
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: brushing my teeth. You're using the tarlet, I'm in the shower.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: You're using the toilet. That ain't comfortable. You're doing too much.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I don't want to hear this while I'm in the bathroom.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I don't want to see this side of you. We
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: ain't that cool. She spent every night at my house
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: since then, and whenever she goes back to her house,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: she brings more clothes to my guest room. She's moving
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: too fast, she's trying to move in. You're a good dude, man,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: and she see it. She seeing she trying to get
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: all her stuff over that marker territory. Y'all been spending
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: every night together. But when she go home, she brings
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: more clothes to your guest room because it ain't a
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: guest room no more. You know why, because you ain't
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: fit to hand no more guests. Your guest room stands
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: for guess who was the last person in? Now that's
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: what your guest room is. Now. My mother was right,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: and I wish I had paid more attention. I want
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: to be with her, but she's too comfortable and taking
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: over my home. How do I slow things down a
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: bit and get her back to her own house? Now, Son,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: this is where I'm gonna help you out. This is
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Uncle Steve talking to you. See. The problem is, young man,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: you don't know how to analyze your own feelings and situation.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: That's the problem you're having because you like her, and
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: you thought she was perfect. You trying to work through
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: a couple things. But some of these things that you're
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: trying to work through, I don't think you're gonna be
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: able to tolerate this. A messy woman is hard to
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: deal with, just like a messy man. It's hard to
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: deal with. But I for me, and you can call
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: it sexist or whatever you want want to. I can't
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: date a sloppy woman. I can't do it. I can't.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I can't do that. I cannot date a woman that
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: that don't keep herself up in the house. I can't
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: do it. I can't do it. I can't do it.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I'm not that great when it comes to keeping things
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: around the house. Cleaning. Now, both of us trifling. So
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: now I'm sorry. You can call that what you wanted,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: but my girl can't be trifling because I already know
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: I'm sitting my trifling when they come to the house.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: See right there, right there. Now, you say what you
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: want to say about me, but I'm making a car
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: and they't her job to keep it clean. It's really ain't.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I understand that it's a pitch in and do it
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: both ways. I got all that and that's what we
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: do around here. I pitch in, I pitch you, I
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: pay for somebody to do my part. Yeah, that's how
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I pitch in. And you can do what you want
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: to do. But I don't know how you're gonna handle it.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: But just coming in this damn bathroom, I'm here trying
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: to brush my teeth. That's what you ain't gonna do.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: You definitely pull your drawers down, leave around your ankles
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: to be sitting there making sounds and noise. I'm in
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: here brushing my damn this is gonna stop right here.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: You got to go back home. Now. You say, now
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: heting that not that's what? What do? What you think?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Using the bathroom? And she and that champn? Now how
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: do I slow things down a bit and get her
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: back to her house? Dog? You don't know this, but
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: you got to break up with this one because let
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: me explain something to you. It's more of this. You
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: just seeing this, You just get scratching the surface. Dog
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: in seven months, if she using the bath room in
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: front of you, it's some more behind curtain number three.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I promise you that dog. You don't know how to
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: analyze these feelings you have. And I break up at her.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Thank you, she's not fit to stop being triping dog.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I break on today's Stritary Letter at Steve Harvey FM
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook. Okay, check out mother right, check
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up at
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: forty six minutes after the hour Junior and Sports Talk
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to show in today's trending headlines,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: a lot going on in the world. First, in the
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the judge rips the media, saying
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: that he'll think long and hard about allowing televised trials
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: in the future. Also, when he referred to jurors from
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: a previous trial, he referred to the African Americans as
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a black or the black. I mean, come on, judge,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: that sounds crazy, Okay, I heard. I mean it sounds
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: like the racist that this judicial system is and has
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: always been. He's a judge and you're referring to blacks
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: as the black, a black. But they can't help it.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: And see the problem is he's having with live televised
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: things is now people get to see what he'd been doing, Yes, sir,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: behind Clau's doors. See that's what problem is because now
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: it ain't. It ain't the media. It's you see, see
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: what happened with social media. It allowed us to take
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: a peek behind the curtain because they've had the curtain
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: up for years. See all of these, all these killings
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: of blacks and all this heath. I've seen this mind
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: tome sixty four. I've seen this mind entire life. I've
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: seen blacks get killed by the police in Cleveland. It
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: don't even make the paper. I saw it before, So
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: this ain't nothing new to me. But now the curtain
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: is back, and they don't like that. The curtain is back.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: That's right, you're right. Also in the Ahmad Arbery murder trial,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: we have two murder trials going on at the same time.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: The man Travis McMichael, who fatally shot Ahmad Arbery, describes
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: a life or death encounter. Did you see they had
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the gun? You know, normally you don't see defendants take
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the stand right right, because it's self. But they know
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: they have to do a desperate measure because this right here,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: they taking the stand so he can try to create something.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: What this man said was he grabbed my gun, and
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: if that had if he had taken my gun, I
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: feared for my life. That's a favorite thing. Wait a minute.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: First of all, why you got a gun? You chase
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: this man down? He jogged and then he had to
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: nerve this say, because I assumed he was a guy
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: that had been breaking in a black dude running down
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: the street. I said, man, you murder him on an
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: that's your damn defense. You're a murder yes. Yes. Also
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: in today's trending headlines, our condolence is going out to
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: the family a rapper, young Dolph. He was shocked and
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: killed at a bakery in Memphis yesterday. Our condolences definitely
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: to his wife, his children. He was a beloved rapper. Wow.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna be honest, I don't. I don't
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: know much about him at all. That's not my lane.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: But the tragedy of it is, look this this violence. Man,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: it's out of hand. Yes it is. It's stam Shane
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: kill this boy liked it all right. We'll have more
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: top of the hour. Right after this. You're listening to
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This family Travel portion of

- 1:10:51Speaker 1: very hard trying to plan a really nice trip for
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: us during the holidays. We're so grateful. However, it's not
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: done yet, but it could happen anyway. It's been a
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: while since all of us have gotten together on the
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Morning Show and travel together. Okay, we always have fun
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: wherever we go, but it's been a minute. Yeah, so, um,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Carla came up with these questions for the crew. Uh,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: if everyone morning come on, if everyone on the Morning
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Show was at the airport, who would get pulled aside
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: by TSA? Sure? Surely all that all that you need
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: to fly? With all this here masking, I covering, I
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: have come on. A man's got metal all on bluetooth speakers,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: trying to calm your nerves. Where you get on, I'm
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: not hot blood pressure cuff? She got a high blood
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: pressure cuff. Taking her blood pressure room and set your
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: hands down somewhere. What's the next question? Here we go?
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Who would take the longest in the security lines? Tom
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: surely fly through all this stuff, man, Tommy to be
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: having a lot of stuff, clear everything right on? All right?
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Who would be which one of us would take his
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: or her shoes off on the plane. See, I gotta
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: take my damn I got to get the damn shoes
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: off there anyway. Hell, I'm flying all that way over
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: there on which I got. I gotta old, I gotta
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: separate them. You know. It's a very rare that they
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: spend time away from each other, but they enjoy the
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: freedom sometimes. So I got spread these toes out little,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: not touched like like I can't like if I spread
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: my toes like wild as I can like that second
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: and third toe have never been away from each other,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: the one next to the big toe on the one
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: right next to that, the tallest toe. He has never
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: been away from his friend. They've never Yeah, dog, they
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: damn this Simmese twins. Damn did they? I ain't never
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: opened them up. But they might be webbed. They might
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: not be able to separate. But that toe that's next
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: to my big toe and the one next hit. They
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: never separated. Now, Baby told him been off on his own.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: And I had a manicures, a pediculator that had a
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: whole fifth round my big toe. One time I couldn't
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: even breathe. I was hyperventilated. Help, if you don't get
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: my toe ich your hand like that, just hold just
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: five on your toe. They'll put that divide where it
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: separate all of them. Well, Tommy, that's what if you're
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: doing nail polish. That question isn't on here lacked up.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: Let's see, I don't. I don't polish my damn toad
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: jail all right? Who would get their way too early?
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Julie Junior because he's scared I'm there. Who would get
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: their late? Monica gonna get their weird? I'm getting there early.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Who's who's gonna get there late? Late? Tommy probably Tommy. Yeah.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Who's gonna get drunk before getting on the plane, Tommy, Julia,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: it's Julie want he gonna get drunk before you get
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: on plane? On the plane, so let's get off the plane.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: All right. We'll have more of today's trending stories coming

- 1:15:22Speaker 1: over five hundred thousand customers satisfied, including four American presidents.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: Beatrice three dollars Thompson is nicknamed three dollars for the
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: price of a sexual act. When she started working in

- 1:15:37Speaker 1: long three dollars. Damn Inflation didn't nothing take the price up.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: You know, some people enjoy what they do. They love
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: their jobs. I mean. The Sex Workers Union of Nevada
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: named her sex Worker of the Year seventeen times. Okay,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: sex work of the Century. Her old ass was seventy six. Yes,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: she got six Worker of the Year of the year
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: seventeen times and between check this out, Steve. Between nineteen
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: sixty nine and nineteen ninety two, she was honored with
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: her count for her contribution to the profession with a
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Lifetime Achievement award, and her very last customer was a
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: thirty four year old man from Germany who made a
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: trip to see her fifty four hundred miles. He wanted
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to see her and no one else. He said it
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: was the best experience of his life. She has God
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: given skills and over fifty years of experience. Wait a
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Minute's all right, turn her old ass somewhere, Steve Harvey
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: three dollars. Right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. It is time now to play would
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: you weather our round of would you rather go as
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: like this? Um hm For the guys, would you rather
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: have people admire you for the good things that you
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: do in life? Or would you have rather have people
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: respect you for your power? So you want to be
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: a good person, to be a powerful person, basically, okay,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: would you rather have people admire you for your good
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: deeds or would you rather people respect you for your power?
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Want to respect? I'm abo you want to be admired
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: or respect Yeah, I'll just be admired. Yeah that's what
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I would you say, Junior, I'd rather be admired because
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: that's what I'm doing. Now I'm doing at currently don't know.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Would you say, m r. Spect you want people to
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: respect you for your power? I really got no damn power.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: So what how you choose beating? I guess I'm hoping
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: for the power, you know, I really ain't got no power.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: You want to see what they feel like. But at
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: least he came to its own conclusion. We didn't have
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: to help him out. Well, it's hard because I've I've
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: felt both of those things, you know. But I think
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: it's more important to be admired for the good things
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: that you do. That's probably the most important respective power.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I don't I don't like having to flex that. I
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: don't um limited in certain areas, you know, But any
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: you know, And yeah, anytime you're in the position of
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: authoritative position, that gives you a certain amount of power,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: but you got to be careful with it. You have
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: to be very very careful with it. And there's nothing
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: you should I'd rather be liked for the good things
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: that I do. It's power can work, all right. Here's
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: another one. Would you rather live to be one hundred
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: years old and you're out or would you rather live
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: to be five hundred years old? Like they used to
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: be some Bible and stuff, one hundred or five hundred,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: one hundred. I ain't gonna know nobody. We just walk
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: around talking. Ain't nobody to talk to my lad free
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: and dad for one hundred and ninety seven years ago?
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: What the hell about to be doing? You? Ain't nobody
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: gonna want to talk to me? Well, I remember when
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: they they ain't had them with cell phone, y'all flying
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: ride and all these cars and everything right here, and
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: you know, do you know we actually walk somewhere? All right?
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: All right, coming up, thank you guys, coming up with
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour. It is our last
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: break of the day, and we'll get some closing remarks
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: from the one and only Steve Harvey right after this.

- 1:20:45Speaker 1: you want me to do Thanksgiving for you? I said,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: like I've been doing it for the other sixty three day.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: Change give me not changing damn fitting to go out
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: of katosis, is all I'm saying. Yeah, that's right, all right.

- 1:21:58Speaker 1: know what, Steve, we have? We really really do. I
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: think I think sometimes we as human beings have a
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: tendency to lose sight of what we have to be
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: thankful for. Because we are always on the hunt and
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: the quest for something new, something more, something bigger, something better,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: and in our quest to get more, we oftentimes forget
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: there's so many things that we should really be grateful for,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: because really, it doesn't have to be this way. I
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: was on the set of the other day and we
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: were in a briefing for my new show. We were
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: all in the group talking. I don't really know these people,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: you know, that part of the show team and stuff.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I've just met him for formatter a few weeks and
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: I just said to them. We were all in the
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: group talking and I said, you know, man, we all fortunate.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: You know, this is not how it really goes to
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: be able to do. If you have a position or
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: a job that allows you to do something that you
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: enjoy doing. Do you realize that the average person does
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: not really enjoy their job. The average person doesn't really
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: enjoy their job. So I said, man, this is not regular.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: This ain't how it's supposed to be. I'm supposed to
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: really be back on one of them jobs. I had
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: living my life in complete and utter misery. But now
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: you're also very fortunate if you have a job at all. See,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: and so instead of complaining about it not being the
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: ideal job you want to have, what about the fact
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: that you do have a job. And let's just think
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: about the things that that job does provide. It may
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: not be paying everything you wan't, but guess what. It
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: provides a comfortable place to live, It provides clothing, it
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: provides shelter, food, it provides some types of comforts, cable TV,
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: car notes, gas money. It provides something. So even if
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: you don't have a job you enjoy. How about the fact,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: where's the gratitude and just having the job? See, we
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: lose sight looking at what we want, hope for, and
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: aspire to, and we lose sight of what he's done
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: for us, because remember when you didn't have a job
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: and you just wanted a job. I remember setting them saying, man,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: I don't care what I do. I just got to
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: find a job. I gotta get some money in him.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: And the other day it was kind of fool for
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: me and me and my wife were having a conversation
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: and she says, Steve, I know you're tip, She said, Steve,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I noticed is a lot. She said, I really appreciate
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: to where you work to keep your family together and
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: all you do for everybody, for everybody, Steve hard And
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: then I was sitting there, going, I'll steal a little
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: kind of tying down and everything. And then my wife
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: looked at me and she says, Steve, I just have
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: to say this to me, because I know you can
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: handle it. I said, babe, what is it? She said?
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: Heavy is the head and wears the clown. And I
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: knew that because I told it to her. But she's
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: smart enough to remind me, and she know I'm the
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: man that can handle that statement. She said, I'm sorry,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: but I have to tell you this. Heavy is the
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: head that wears the crown, she said, and you wear
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: it well, she said. But there ain't nobody gonna know
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: how heavy this one is but you, because you only
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: want to got this crown on you the king of
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: this castle. She said. Now I'm the queen. I got
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: some stuff on me you don't even know about. But
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: she be you the king and heavy as the head
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: that wears the crown. And then she looked at me
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: and she said, and what's that other thing you always
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: tell me about your plate? And I had to remind
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: myself of this one. I said, you can't complain about
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: what all's on your plate when your whole goal was
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: to eat. And I went, oh, my goodness, And you
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: know what this was the other day when I was
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: a little tired and exhausted, or wearing the crown, when
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: I was a little tired and exhausted of everything that
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: was on my plate. And when I got through, I
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: realized that I had the crown. So I got grateful,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: and I realized I had a lot on my plate,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: and I got grateful. So instead of worrying about what
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: you ain't got, how about praising God for what you do? God?
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: How that signed? So I like a winner to me.
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: Y'all have a great day man all see y'all amarg
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: wining peace for all. Steve Harvey contests No purchase necessary,
