Many believers struggle with lukewarm faith, appearing active in church while avoiding true obedience to God's calling. Jesus warned the church at Laodicea about being neither hot nor cold in their commitment. Real love for God is demonstrated through obedience to His commands, particularly the Great Commission to make disciples. Common areas of pretending include our schedules, finances, comfort zones, and witness to others. Authentic Christianity requires moving beyond surface-level activity to wholehearted obedience, even when God's calling feels overwhelming or costly.
