- 0:15Speaker 3: million bus buss things.
- 0:17Speaker 4: And Steve has ye listening.
- 0:24Speaker 3: To me to hand, I.
- 0:38Speaker 5: Don't joy, Yeah, enjoy.
- 0:52Speaker 3: May have sat.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You don't you love?
- 1:06Speaker 6: You gotta turn I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:42Speaker 5: You've probably got to turn mouth turn out, turn the
- 1:46Speaker 5: money up.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you're got it, ah, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 7: Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice. Come on,
- 2:08Speaker 7: come on, y'all dig me now. One and only Steve
- 2:10Speaker 7: Harvey got a radio show man. Is God good to me? Unbelievable?
- 2:16Speaker 2: Yeah, he is. And I can only attribute it to
- 2:19Speaker 2: one thing. It's just been a turnaround in my life.
- 2:23Speaker 7: It's been me finally making decision to see what all
- 2:27Speaker 7: God has for me, but at the same time trying
- 2:30Speaker 7: to be more God want me to be instead of
- 2:33Speaker 7: more of what I want to be.
- 2:34Speaker 2: That's the trade off.
- 2:35Speaker 7: You know, you gotta do something now, you know you
- 2:37Speaker 7: know you want God's blessings, You got to be willing
- 2:40Speaker 7: to do something on his behalf. And I'm not saying
- 2:43Speaker 7: I got it right right now because I'm just being
- 2:47Speaker 7: real with you. I don't I don't have it all
- 2:50Speaker 7: together by any stretch of the imagination. I'm trying to
- 2:53Speaker 7: get better in several areas. I'm praying about it, I'm
- 2:57Speaker 7: working on it. But you know, it's a process, and
- 3:01Speaker 7: I've grown to accept the process. But I'm improving in
- 3:04Speaker 7: a lot of areas from day to day. But I'll
- 3:06Speaker 7: tell you what, man, my success, all that's going on
- 3:09Speaker 7: with me I can only attribute to this turnaround. And
- 3:13Speaker 7: the turnaround was simple. I turned around and started looking
- 3:17Speaker 7: at God. That was the simple move.
- 3:20Speaker 8: Man.
- 3:20Speaker 7: I just turned around and started looking at him, and
- 3:23Speaker 7: I was going, Okay, I get it. Now, you created me.
- 3:26Speaker 7: You're the creator. You have a purpose for me. I
- 3:30Speaker 7: understand that.
- 3:31Speaker 9: Now.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Now let me just walk in that purpose and let
- 3:36Speaker 7: me get to doing that purpose. Now, my purpose and
- 3:39Speaker 7: your purpose and their purpose and anybody's purpose could be different,
- 3:44Speaker 7: and the way you go about the purpose can be different.
- 3:48Speaker 2: And that's the part that I've really grown up to.
- 3:51Speaker 7: I've opened up my mind to understanding that everybody's different,
- 3:55Speaker 7: nobody's quite the same, and that is not my right
- 3:59Speaker 7: or position to judge, but to be of a forgiving
- 4:03Speaker 7: spirit and understand and forgive those as I ask God
- 4:06Speaker 7: to forgive me. See that's the key. That's the key, y'all.
- 4:11Speaker 7: So when you're out here and you stuck on this unforgiveness,
- 4:14Speaker 7: understand in the large prayer as a segment that says,
- 4:20Speaker 7: forgive us our trustpasses as we forgive those who trustpass
- 4:24Speaker 7: against us. There's another version that says, forgive us our
- 4:26Speaker 7: debts as we forgive our debtors. It's two different versions,
- 4:31Speaker 7: but either one it means the exact same thing. It
- 4:35Speaker 7: means simply this that you are asking God to forgive
- 4:40Speaker 7: yours like you forgive others. Forgive us our trust passes
- 4:45Speaker 7: as we forgive those who trustpass against us. When I
- 4:48Speaker 7: cross the line with you, God handle me the way
- 4:52Speaker 7: I handle people when they cross the line with me.
- 4:55Speaker 7: You feel what I'm saying to you, See you understand that.
- 4:58Speaker 7: That's the breakdown of it. Best way I can give
- 5:01Speaker 7: it to you. Forgive us our trustpasses as we forgive
- 5:05Speaker 7: those who trustpass against us. Forgive me God for stepping
- 5:09Speaker 7: over the line, like I forgive those that step over
- 5:12Speaker 7: the line on me. That's the hard part, man, that's
- 5:15Speaker 7: the part man, I've really been working on I've been
- 5:18Speaker 7: really trying to get that together. And so I've learned
- 5:21Speaker 7: forgiveness a lot better over the past five years than
- 5:24Speaker 7: I have before. And it's paid off. I can't tell
- 5:28Speaker 7: you how it's paid off, because now God's mercy and
- 5:33Speaker 7: grace is all over me, because I've learned to become
- 5:37Speaker 7: more graceful. Now I ain't graceful like him, I ain't
- 5:42Speaker 7: merciful like him, but I've learned to become more more graceful,
- 5:47Speaker 7: more merciful, because man, I can't live my life like that.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I just got sick of me. Man, you mad at me,
- 5:53Speaker 2: now I'm mad at you. You hating on me? Now
- 5:56Speaker 2: I'm more hate on you. I ain't got time for that.
- 5:58Speaker 10: Man.
- 5:59Speaker 7: You look here, you got somewhere to go. Hate take
- 6:03Speaker 7: up time. It's time consuming.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Hating. Trying to seek revenge just time consuming.
- 6:11Speaker 7: It take up way too much of your time to
- 6:13Speaker 7: seek revenge when vengeance ain't really yours. That's another one.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord. It ain't yours. So
- 6:21Speaker 7: now when you go to seek it to take it out,
- 6:24Speaker 7: guess what you're doing. You're doing something now, man, Now
- 6:28Speaker 7: you off in the area that you got no business
- 6:30Speaker 7: being in and instead of steady climbing your letder like
- 6:33Speaker 7: you're supposed to, you didn't take out time for vengeance.
- 6:38Speaker 2: To hate.
- 6:39Speaker 7: I'm a hater. I'm a be a blogger. I'm a
- 6:42Speaker 7: blog about so and so. When you're blogging about somebody,
- 6:46Speaker 7: and most of these people you don't even know when
- 6:49Speaker 7: you're blogging about somebody, what you're doing, what you hating.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It takes time to hate.
- 6:56Speaker 11: Man.
- 6:57Speaker 7: I just decided, Man, I got to take all my
- 7:00Speaker 7: time and instead of have doing time and being active,
- 7:05Speaker 7: I got to be proactive. See some people get that confused,
- 7:09Speaker 7: being active and being proactive. Pro is positive. Pro means
- 7:15Speaker 7: to move forward.
- 7:16Speaker 2: You know, if you put pro in front of most words,
- 7:19Speaker 2: it's a positive influence.
- 7:21Speaker 7: You know, there's the pros and the cons. The pros
- 7:25Speaker 7: is the good side, the cons is what can go
- 7:27Speaker 7: wrong the bad side. You know, if you're active, that's
- 7:31Speaker 7: one thing, But if you proactive, you're going forward in
- 7:34Speaker 7: a positive direction. When you become a pro that means
- 7:39Speaker 7: you the best of the best at whatever it is
- 7:41Speaker 7: you chosen to be. I'm a pro so somehow, and
- 7:46Speaker 7: I'm no English teacher or grammatical god. The word pro
- 7:51Speaker 7: a lot of times when you put it in front
- 7:53Speaker 7: of something, means positiveness. So now a lot of people
- 7:58Speaker 7: think that if you just active, if something ought to happen, Well,
- 8:02Speaker 7: I'm doing something, and that's what happens. Man, we just
- 8:04Speaker 7: find ourselves doing a lot of busy work that really
- 8:07Speaker 7: ain't about nothing and ain't going nowhere. It ain't got
- 8:09Speaker 7: no direction or no purpose because we haven't tried to
- 8:12Speaker 7: find out the direction of a purpose. So you wake up,
- 8:15Speaker 7: you and your wheels are spinning. You a hamster on
- 8:18Speaker 7: a treadmill. You're running real fast, but you're just going
- 8:21Speaker 7: in the same spot. You understand that's cause you just
- 8:24Speaker 7: out here being active instead of proactive. Why don't you
- 8:27Speaker 7: get God in your life? Why don't you turn and
- 8:29Speaker 7: face your creator and find out how to become more
- 8:33Speaker 7: proactive so you can do things to move yourself forward.
- 8:37Speaker 7: How you can get your life off the ground and
- 8:39Speaker 7: get off the treadmill and really get it rolling in
- 8:42Speaker 7: the direction that it needs to be going. Man, I'm
- 8:45Speaker 7: telling you God can make that change for you if
- 8:49Speaker 7: he see you making the change for him. See the
- 8:52Speaker 7: whole key, man, the whole key is you got to
- 8:55Speaker 7: be willing to do something. You got to give God
- 8:58Speaker 7: something to bless Bless me God, and then you go
- 9:02Speaker 7: sit on your couch and you ain't trying. Okay, bless
- 9:05Speaker 7: me God with what what are you working with?
- 9:10Speaker 2: He can't have the people hire you if you ain't
- 9:12Speaker 2: put the app in. Come on, man, the blessing comes.
- 9:15Speaker 7: When you make a proactive step, when you try to
- 9:18Speaker 7: do something on the positive side. Look, man, I'm gonna
- 9:22Speaker 7: quit messing around with all these people. I'm gonna start
- 9:25Speaker 7: going home. I'm gonna leave these women alone out here.
- 9:28Speaker 7: You got to say, all right, man, I ain't going
- 9:30Speaker 7: over there tonight.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I just ain't gonna get Then God can work with you.
- 9:34Speaker 2: God help me stop seeing all these women. But you
- 9:37Speaker 2: steady going.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Over there calling them setting up stuff. Can't nobody help
- 9:42Speaker 7: you because once you get over there, you already know. See,
- 9:47Speaker 7: you gotta get proactive. You gotta do something yourself. You
- 9:51Speaker 7: make one step, he'll make two. That's the key, man.
- 9:55Speaker 7: So come on, y'all.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, listen to me. This
- 10:11Speaker 7: is the Steve Harvey Morning Show, and listen to this.
- 10:14Speaker 7: God is really really amazing. God is tremendous that really
- 10:20Speaker 7: there are no superlatives for this. The words I'm using,
- 10:23Speaker 7: the failing and the impact that I want him to
- 10:26Speaker 7: have because I just in my relationship with God, what
- 10:29Speaker 7: I done found out is how good he really is.
- 10:31Speaker 2: That just ain't no words for me.
- 10:34Speaker 7: I can't come up with one. You know, if anybody
- 10:37Speaker 7: can come up with the word, you know, he's awesome,
- 10:39Speaker 7: He's amazed, and I get all that. When you get
- 10:41Speaker 7: through you need more. And here's the really really cool thing, y'all.
- 10:46Speaker 7: He is available for everybody, no matter who you are,
- 10:51Speaker 7: no matter what you're going through, no matter how far
- 10:54Speaker 7: you done fail, God can get you. Know that in
- 10:58Speaker 7: twenty twenty six. Please put that in your weaponry, your arsenal.
- 11:03Speaker 7: Put that in your bag of tricks. God is the ultimate.
- 11:09Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica
- 11:13Speaker 7: Junior and the legend that is Nephew Tommy Jr.
- 11:15Speaker 2: How you doing this morning?
- 11:16Speaker 12: Man?
- 11:17Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 11:18Speaker 13: I can't ask you something, Uncle. I got to ask
- 11:21Speaker 13: you this cause I'm kind of confused this morning, okay,
- 11:25Speaker 13: cause my wife said gonna go to work with your
- 11:27Speaker 13: cute self, and I believe do I look cute to y'all?
- 11:31Speaker 10: Am? I?
- 11:32Speaker 2: Well see you listen to me. You don't have to
- 11:34Speaker 2: look cute to us. You have to look cute to
- 11:35Speaker 2: your wife.
- 11:36Speaker 7: She's the one to say it, I do, and all
- 11:38Speaker 7: this here, and that's how women are to encourage people
- 11:42Speaker 7: like that. They put stuff in your head to make
- 11:44Speaker 7: you feel better about yourself. Now, if you're asking me,
- 11:49Speaker 7: are you cute? Definitely not. I thank your odd looking.
- 11:56Speaker 7: I think your shot. I don't know how she said
- 11:59Speaker 7: I do personally because I don't the tone.
- 12:02Speaker 2: I have said. No, I'm not.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Hey, will you marry me?
- 12:09Speaker 1: That is sexy?
- 12:11Speaker 11: You know he did?
- 12:13Speaker 2: You think he did?
- 12:14Speaker 7: Okay, okay, why she's here, junior, But listen to me.
- 12:20Speaker 7: That's the purpose of a good wife. A good wife
- 12:24Speaker 7: is here to build you up, support offer her and
- 12:28Speaker 7: and man, they really lead a lot of times. They
- 12:31Speaker 7: really lead a lot of times through suggestion. It's just
- 12:35Speaker 7: if you don't follow this suggestion, you're gonna get it wrong.
- 12:38Speaker 7: So I know you're saying that really hurt your feelings.
- 12:41Speaker 7: But that's what your wife is ford to counter.
- 12:44Speaker 13: People like me, Well, I've been married three years, and
- 12:47Speaker 13: that's the first time she said it in three years.
- 12:49Speaker 13: He just said it today.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Well, well, you know, but does ain't Margie tell you?
- 12:59Speaker 3: Does she tell you cute?
- 13:00Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 13:00Speaker 7: Yeah all the time, handsome all the time. But but
- 13:02Speaker 7: but can I tell you something? No, John, it's the
- 13:06Speaker 7: timing of it that you should look at and really
- 13:09Speaker 7: appreciate what she was trying to do. She told you,
- 13:13Speaker 7: which cause you know, you was probably squinting or something
- 13:18Speaker 7: like that, you know, and then she told you.
- 13:21Speaker 13: You know, you're cute as so I'm only cute if
- 13:23Speaker 13: she's squinting.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I've squinted and don't see it. So let's not make
- 13:29Speaker 2: squinton ugly people pretty much locked in, I think I think.
- 13:33Speaker 14: You coming up At thirty two minutes after the hour,

- 14:28Speaker 11: Yeah, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach a Rogic Belting.
- 14:34Speaker 15: Please, he's not here.
- 14:35Speaker 16: I take a message.
- 14:36Speaker 11: My name is Mark, ma'am. I'm calling from the clinic.
- 14:40Speaker 11: Rood Music down.
- 14:42Speaker 16: Hold on, I'm sorry. Say that again.
- 14:43Speaker 11: Okay, can you hear me?
- 14:44Speaker 16: I can hear you now.
- 14:45Speaker 11: I'm trying to reach Rogers.
- 14:47Speaker 16: He's not here.
- 14:48Speaker 11: Okay. I'm calling from the clinic, from doctor Robert's office
- 14:52Speaker 11: and trying to get some information to him. Wh do
- 14:55Speaker 11: you know what you actually be in? No?
- 14:57Speaker 16: Actually I don't.
- 15:00Speaker 11: Okay, uh, well, you know everything's fine. I mean, nothing
- 15:03Speaker 11: that can't be handled. But we were trying to actually
- 15:06Speaker 11: get some information to him so that he can actually
- 15:09Speaker 11: come back in for the results.
- 15:11Speaker 16: Okay, well I don't. I don't know when I can.
- 15:14Speaker 16: He's supposed to be here now. I'm not sure when
- 15:17Speaker 16: I can tell you he's going to be back.
- 15:19Speaker 11: I'm sorry I didn't ask you earlier. Man, who am
- 15:22Speaker 11: I actually speaking with? This is his girlfriend and Jan
- 15:27Speaker 11: Jan okay, so Jan, you don't you say you don't know,
- 15:31Speaker 11: you don't have an idea when he'll be back.
- 15:33Speaker 16: No, it's trying to make me kind of give a
- 15:36Speaker 16: little concerned though.
- 15:37Speaker 11: No, no, no, wow, Okay, I tell you what. This
- 15:40Speaker 11: is the number that he actually left us to give
- 15:42Speaker 11: him a call on his results, and we're not getting
- 15:46Speaker 11: an answer. I don't have another number on hand. Do
- 15:48Speaker 11: you have any specific time I can actually call back
- 15:51Speaker 11: and maybe I'll get him again.
- 15:53Speaker 16: I'm you're making my stomach is getting nervous right now?
- 15:57Speaker 16: What is what is the problem?
- 15:58Speaker 11: Well, actually you know what it is, ma'am is mister
- 16:01Speaker 11: Rogers came in for UH to take a few tests,
- 16:04Speaker 11: and he took some tests and we actually have the
- 16:06Speaker 11: results in and we'd actually really like for him to
- 16:08Speaker 11: come back.
- 16:08Speaker 16: Do you know anything about I'm sorry, I didn't mean
- 16:10Speaker 16: to intrust you, but I don't know anything about any tests.
- 16:12Speaker 16: He hasn't told me anything about going to a clinic
- 16:15Speaker 16: or anything like that. I see, So what kind of
- 16:18Speaker 16: test are you talking about.
- 16:19Speaker 11: Well, I mean, ma'am, I'm not really not at liberty
- 16:22Speaker 11: to give you any kind of information unless you're actually
- 16:24Speaker 11: on the paperwork. So you know, it's not even something
- 16:26Speaker 11: that I can discuss unless the patient has signed off
- 16:28Speaker 11: that you are the next of Ken or the person
- 16:31Speaker 11: that can we can give you information to you.
- 16:33Speaker 16: You do know you I do, and I'm pretty certain,
- 16:38Speaker 16: I mean the way we operate in this house, so
- 16:40Speaker 16: I'm pretty certain that that I'm on the paperwork.
- 16:43Speaker 11: So would you see the Let pull up Roger stuff
- 16:46Speaker 11: on computer here and I'll see what I give me
- 16:48Speaker 11: one second, please sure? Okay, Okay, let's see now let
- 16:53Speaker 11: me scroll down for next of Ken. Okay, I got
- 16:55Speaker 11: a Janis.
- 16:57Speaker 15: That is me.
- 16:58Speaker 16: I mean, everybody called me, but that's me Janis.
- 17:01Speaker 11: Wow.
- 17:02Speaker 15: Okay, tell me your name again.
- 17:04Speaker 16: I'm sorry, what's your name again?
- 17:05Speaker 11: Mark? Mark? This is like I said, I'm the clerk
- 17:07Speaker 11: here at doctor Robert Offers, and I guess I am
- 17:10Speaker 11: at liberty to tell you what's going on.
- 17:11Speaker 16: Please do.
- 17:12Speaker 11: Mister Roger came in and took some STD test STD yes,
- 17:18Speaker 11: and I guess at this point I should just maybe
- 17:21Speaker 11: both of you guys who come in and wait, wait
- 17:24Speaker 11: a minute, wait everybody and everybody, no.
- 17:26Speaker 16: No, no, no, no, no no, I need you to
- 17:29Speaker 16: finish what you were just saying.
- 17:30Speaker 11: Well, no, that's what I'm saying.
- 17:31Speaker 12: Man.
- 17:31Speaker 11: What has happened is he's been diagnosed with as well as.
- 17:37Speaker 16: You got to be kidding me. You have got to
- 17:40Speaker 16: be kidding me. Okay, I'm not hearing this a second
- 17:45Speaker 16: means what that means? Do you understand that he lives
- 17:48Speaker 16: in my household? Do you understand that that means that
- 17:51Speaker 16: he has been dipping somewhere else? Because I have been
- 17:55Speaker 16: not doing anything that would even come close to bringing
- 17:58Speaker 16: something to him like that. So how parents that this
- 18:01Speaker 16: man has been outside of my household and doing when
- 18:04Speaker 16: he has no business doing and bring it back in.
- 18:06Speaker 11: Man, I'm not at liberty and making any accusations like that.
- 18:10Speaker 11: I cannot say anything like that. All I can say
- 18:12Speaker 11: is I'd like for both of you, you know, it'd
- 18:14Speaker 11: be good for both of you guys to come in.
- 18:15Speaker 11: They will tell you though this is something treatable, it
- 18:19Speaker 11: is curable.
- 18:21Speaker 16: Care about it being treatable or curable. What I care
- 18:23Speaker 16: about is the fact that he apparently had been somewhere
- 18:27Speaker 16: with some trick and brought something back home to my household.
- 18:31Speaker 16: That's what I care about.
- 18:32Speaker 11: I do understand that, missus Janis. I do, but you
- 18:35Speaker 11: have to understand my position and what I'm trying to do.
- 18:37Speaker 11: I'm just trying to reaching.
- 18:38Speaker 16: Out and well, listen, you happen to call my household,
- 18:41Speaker 16: you just have to have to be on the on
- 18:43Speaker 16: the other side of it. I'm sorry you're getting most
- 18:45Speaker 16: of it, but I tell you what what you need
- 18:47Speaker 16: to do is you need to make him an appointment
- 18:50Speaker 16: and I will meet him there he will be.
- 18:53Speaker 11: When he sleeps. A minute, Wait a minute, I'm sorry.
- 18:55Speaker 16: You need to make him an appointment to come out
- 18:58Speaker 16: to take a look at these results talking about and
- 19:00Speaker 16: guess who will show up at the door before he
- 19:02Speaker 16: gets there?
- 19:03Speaker 11: Me that I think you pet. I mean, since you're
- 19:06Speaker 11: the next wouldn't it better for you just nothing to
- 19:08Speaker 11: tell him what's going long?
- 19:09Speaker 16: Since I've never you know, this is the plan you
- 19:12Speaker 16: need to give him. You need to give him a
- 19:14Speaker 16: call and give you a Cel phone number.
- 19:16Speaker 11: You have, Yes, I have a pin. Okay, I got it.
- 19:20Speaker 16: You call him a set of twelve new appointment. Trust me,
- 19:23Speaker 16: when I tell you when he walks through that door
- 19:25Speaker 16: and seize my faith, he will know.
- 19:27Speaker 11: Okay, okay, But miss Minchells, I'm not trying to create
- 19:30Speaker 11: chaos to let mister Rogers know that we need him
- 19:36Speaker 11: to come actually into the building.
- 19:37Speaker 16: I could give to about the call. All I know
- 19:41Speaker 16: is you make that appointment. I will get there before
- 19:44Speaker 16: he gets there and his own I'm telling you that's
- 19:47Speaker 16: how it's gonna row.
- 19:48Speaker 11: Do you understand me, miss miss Minzets. I can't allow
- 19:52Speaker 11: any chaos to be going on in the building. I
- 19:54Speaker 11: cannot allow that. Let me know you're create it.
- 19:57Speaker 16: Let me tell you something I don't care. I could
- 19:59Speaker 16: care let about what you feel about it and what
- 20:02Speaker 16: you can and can't. All I'm telling you is you.
- 20:08Speaker 11: Looking for mister Rogers and you called him soon.

- 20:13Speaker 15: What correction?

- 20:18Speaker 11: I got one more thing I do need to tell you, though,
- 20:20Speaker 11: miss ter know what.
- 20:21Speaker 16: I can't deal with another thing. I swear to God

- 20:29Speaker 17: You make your.
- 20:29Speaker 11: Apartment, will make your point. But I need you to
- 20:31Speaker 11: ask to somebody when you come to the clinic. I
- 20:33Speaker 11: need you to ask for one person and then they
- 20:35Speaker 11: will take care of you.
- 20:37Speaker 16: Who do I need to ask for us?
- 20:38Speaker 11: Okay, you need to ask for nephew Tommy from the
- 20:41Speaker 11: Steve Harvey Morning Show, because that's who I am. You
- 20:44Speaker 11: just got pranked by your husband Roger. You know what?
- 20:50Speaker 15: Oh my god, it tell me, Temmy.
- 20:55Speaker 16: I listened to you everyone.

- 22:21Speaker 14: will be joining us to talk about their not your
- 22:24Speaker 14: typical tour. The Hendersons are coming up at the top
- 22:28Speaker 14: of the hour. We'll talk to them, but right now

- 22:34Speaker 14: Steve Harvey Ready.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Steve Colo, Yes, yes, yes, yes, all.
- 22:38Speaker 14: Right, thank you. This is from Charmaine and Calumet. Charmain writes,
- 22:43Speaker 14: I was a side chick a few years ago. I
- 22:45Speaker 14: left that situation and got married. The married man from
- 22:49Speaker 14: my past got saved and confessed to having an affair.
- 22:53Speaker 14: His wife called me to talk about it. Why would
- 22:56Speaker 14: he do that? Do I owe his wife an explanation?
- 23:00Speaker 15: No?
- 23:00Speaker 2: You don't, No, you don't, and I don't know why.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Y'all don't do like me and did. If his wife
- 23:07Speaker 2: call you, just what are you talking about? I noticed?
- 23:14Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Excuse me. I'm married and don't
- 23:21Speaker 2: call me anymore. You should.
- 23:23Speaker 7: You don't have to give people closure. That's him and her,
- 23:28Speaker 7: that's him and her. Stay out of that. You found
- 23:31Speaker 7: out you shouldn't have been in it. You made your mistake.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Move on right, and we're gonna move on too.
- 23:37Speaker 14: To Justine and port Arthur, Justine writes, my husband sent
- 23:41Speaker 14: a DM to his ex wife and it said happy birthday.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Beautiful.
- 23:46Speaker 14: He said, there's nothing wrong with what he did. We're
- 23:49Speaker 14: friendly with our exes. But he crossed the line. If
- 23:52Speaker 14: it's cool, why did he choose to DM it to
- 23:55Speaker 14: her and not text it?
- 23:57Speaker 2: Well, he know it wasn't cool. We friendly with our exes?
- 24:01Speaker 15: What that?
- 24:02Speaker 2: What that mean anyway?
- 24:03Speaker 10: Right?
- 24:03Speaker 2: I'm that poor. I don't really know. I don't really know.
- 24:08Speaker 1: You have kids.
- 24:09Speaker 2: If you have kids, you share kids all them. I
- 24:12Speaker 2: got kids all night.
- 24:14Speaker 1: But you would still just say if you said anything,
- 24:16Speaker 1: happy birthday. He put that beautiful.
- 24:20Speaker 7: Elbow ever said happy birthday to it. I'm friendly with
- 24:25Speaker 7: the kids. I'm just being real with you. I'm just
- 24:28Speaker 7: from friendly with the kids. There ain't nothing wrong with them.
- 24:33Speaker 7: You know, I don't blame nobody for nothing.
- 24:35Speaker 10: But I'm.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Once, I'm out.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm oh you.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Here, I ain't got none for you.
- 24:47Speaker 7: Ain't got to worry about me DM and your texting,
- 24:50Speaker 7: your face, face booking you.
- 24:54Speaker 1: But if you're friendly, you wouldn't just say happy birthday.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I mean, why is we friendly?
- 25:00Speaker 12: Though?
- 25:01Speaker 1: I'm just saying if you were from.
- 25:04Speaker 2: See, that's an impossibility for friendly.
- 25:09Speaker 4: All he's saying is he said happy birthday. She doesn't understand.
- 25:13Speaker 4: It's the beautiful beautiful?
- 25:15Speaker 2: What's happy about beautiful? Well, here's here's the other part.
- 25:21Speaker 7: Here's what women should all use this technique and just
- 25:26Speaker 7: ask your husband whenever you're talking to him, when you're
- 25:29Speaker 7: trying to get the right answer from him about what
- 25:31Speaker 7: he did and he's trying to justify, just ask him,
- 25:35Speaker 7: say this, what if it were reversed, suppose I did this,
- 25:40Speaker 7: how would you feel?
- 25:42Speaker 2: That shuts the argument down.
- 25:44Speaker 7: Completely, because he's not Finn say he'll be cool with it. Hey, Hey,
- 25:50Speaker 7: what's so with your sexyself? You text your eggs.
- 25:55Speaker 19: Now?
- 25:55Speaker 7: See you need to get in the car head on
- 25:57Speaker 7: over that end, wow, because that's where you stay now.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Condition you can't take it right and you so you
- 26:08Speaker 1: agree with Justine in this one.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Yeah, if it was, well, you know, because he was.
- 26:13Speaker 7: He was wrong for that. What's the DM for. We're
- 26:16Speaker 7: friendly with our exes, Well, get unfriendly with.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Him, send another birthday shout out. Let's see where that look.
- 26:24Speaker 7: If you didn't need him in your life in the
- 26:27Speaker 7: relationship part, what you need him in your life as
- 26:29Speaker 7: a friend for I'm gonna tell you right now. See,
- 26:32Speaker 7: we can't be in a full blown relationship, become divorced
- 26:36Speaker 7: for whatever the reason, because something went wrong, and in
- 26:40Speaker 7: that divorce it wasn't nobody laughing in court.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Now we're back to being friends again.
- 26:45Speaker 1: What the children, that's all. It's just for the sake
- 26:52Speaker 1: of it all my kids.
- 26:53Speaker 2: And got over get yourself in therapy, dude, do whatever
- 27:03Speaker 2: you got to do.
- 27:05Speaker 1: We're gonna move on.
- 27:07Speaker 14: This is Maurice and Compton who writes, my wife's male
- 27:11Speaker 14: best friend was over overweight and missing a few teeth
- 27:15Speaker 14: when I met my wife. He's lost weight and works
- 27:18Speaker 14: out daily and he's got new teeth. I can honestly
- 27:21Speaker 14: admit that I'm jealous when he's with my wife? Now,
- 27:24Speaker 14: is it cool to break them up?
- 27:27Speaker 1: Wow?
- 27:29Speaker 2: Boy? When got that stuff done?
- 27:33Speaker 1: He got his swag on that.
- 27:36Speaker 7: See, I forewarned you all all this time about these
- 27:40Speaker 7: male friends and female friends.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I just don't you know.
- 27:43Speaker 7: He was overweight with no TV. He got some teeth
- 27:45Speaker 7: and got that weight off. You don't think he looking
- 27:47Speaker 7: at your girl a little bit different? He been looking
- 27:49Speaker 7: at it different. He just ain't have a chance. I'm
- 27:53Speaker 7: gonna tell you something like that, best friend. If a
- 27:55Speaker 7: fat man who got a raggedy mound, yeah, fix his
- 28:02Speaker 7: mouth and get in shape. The only way to flex
- 28:08Speaker 7: that is to use it. And he fit to use it,
- 28:13Speaker 7: all of.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It for evil purposes.
- 28:17Speaker 5: Evil.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's evil purposes. He find to be up to
- 28:25Speaker 2: no good?
- 28:27Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 28:27Speaker 2: Who won't this.
- 28:31Speaker 1: Splashing his grill?
- 28:36Speaker 2: He what's so beautiful?
- 28:40Speaker 11: Beautiful?
- 28:42Speaker 12: Wow?
- 28:44Speaker 1: So should the husband break them up?
- 28:45Speaker 7: Then that's what I ain't got to break them up?
- 28:48Speaker 7: And see, I would have never allowed I don't allow it,
- 28:50Speaker 7: So I'm not having that man you.
- 28:55Speaker 9: Like?
- 28:56Speaker 2: Go ahead, all right.
- 28:57Speaker 14: Last one finds in Philly. I borrowed a suit from
- 29:02Speaker 14: a friend to impress a lady on a first date.
- 29:04Speaker 14: My friend knows a lady too, and after our date,
- 29:07Speaker 14: he told her that I wore his suit. I was embarrassed,
- 29:11Speaker 14: but luckily she didn't care. My friend said it was
- 29:13Speaker 14: a joke. Was he joking or was he hating?
- 29:17Speaker 2: So uncool to do that? So uncool to do that, man,
- 29:21Speaker 2: you don't shade your boy like that.
- 29:24Speaker 7: He borrowed his suit. Then you told, yeah, he wore
- 29:27Speaker 7: my suit. Okay, man, So what you in her face
- 29:30Speaker 7: for telling her that? Why are you trying to get
- 29:33Speaker 7: her to know that that was your suit? If I
- 29:37Speaker 7: was you, my man, I checked the friendship meet on
- 29:41Speaker 7: this boy right here. Yep, I would check the friendship
- 29:45Speaker 7: because man, hey man, you don't do that to your dudes.
- 29:49Speaker 7: I'm gonna give you an example, like when I'm clearing
- 29:52Speaker 7: my claws out. You know, I give away clothes, right
- 29:56Speaker 7: and I start with the people who work around me closer,
- 30:00Speaker 7: and some of the guys on my size can wear
- 30:03Speaker 7: my clothes. So I have a giveaway and I let
- 30:05Speaker 7: him have it. I will see them in it with
- 30:07Speaker 7: a wife or their girlfriend. I'll see am in it.
- 30:11Speaker 7: I never mentioned it, right.
- 30:18Speaker 18: You have class, You're all right, It's crazy, all right,
- 30:23Speaker 18: Thank you, sir, coming up next Pasta Khan and Shannie Henderson.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Hey, y'all, welcome back to the ride. As promised, we
- 30:40Speaker 2: got a couple of special guests.
- 30:43Speaker 7: I can't even tell you what this dude means to me,
- 30:46Speaker 7: Man when I first met him, Man, I was able
- 30:48Speaker 7: to tell him how much he meant to me and
- 30:51Speaker 7: so many brothers in the culture. Man, because we catch
- 30:53Speaker 7: him on on Instagram, on YouTube, on all these clips
- 30:57Speaker 7: and stuff.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Just words of inspiration, Man, just for brothers like myself,
- 31:02Speaker 2: that just just me AND's men. You know we need
- 31:05Speaker 2: cats like this in the ministry.
- 31:07Speaker 7: Well, he's here today and he's got his wife with
- 31:11Speaker 7: him and they are special guest this morning. She's the
- 31:15Speaker 7: first Lady of Lighthouse Church and Ministries. She's a philanthropist,
- 31:19Speaker 7: she's an executive producer. He is a senior pastor of
- 31:23Speaker 7: Lighthouse Church and Ministries and a best selling author.
- 31:26Speaker 2: They joining us today. They're gonna talk about.
- 31:28Speaker 7: Their new tour, they own tour, and it kicks off
- 31:32Speaker 7: Friday in La. It's the It's not your typical tour
- 31:37Speaker 7: and they're here to tell us all about it. Please
- 31:39Speaker 7: welcome to the show Pastor Kean Henderson and first Lady
- 31:43Speaker 7: Shawnnie Henderson.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Hello, what's up, y'all? How y'all feeling amazing?
- 31:52Speaker 9: Amazing, so honored to be.
- 31:54Speaker 7: On This is a tour this could I'm not saying
- 31:58Speaker 7: this the first of its kind, but we've never promoted
- 32:01Speaker 7: one like this on this show, and at twenty some
- 32:04Speaker 7: years we've been on the ass, so this is deep
- 32:06Speaker 7: for us. It's called the Notch Your Typical Tour. It
- 32:09Speaker 7: launches this Friday.
- 32:11Speaker 2: First stop is out at LA and the tour is
- 32:14Speaker 2: summarized as faith that meets culture where it is, and
- 32:20Speaker 2: its aim is to take faith out of traditional boxes
- 32:23Speaker 2: and bring it into real life. So what was the
- 32:25Speaker 2: inspiration for this tour of y'all?
- 32:28Speaker 10: One day I was sharing with her what my heart
- 32:31Speaker 10: was trying to represent religion in a way where folks
- 32:35Speaker 10: of different generations would accept it, and she had her
- 32:40Speaker 10: own experience with it and her own response to it.
- 32:44Speaker 10: So she came over this idea.
- 32:45Speaker 15: So, Baby, gonna tell him what you told me.
- 32:47Speaker 19: I always say that church folks do a great job
- 32:51Speaker 19: at talking.
- 32:52Speaker 11: To other church folks, right, But I don't know that.
- 32:56Speaker 19: Church folks do a great job at talking to the
- 33:00Speaker 19: or those of us who have stepped.
- 33:02Speaker 9: Out for a little while for many different reasons.
- 33:05Speaker 19: And our goal is to be disciples and go out
- 33:09Speaker 19: there and reach the people that aren't unreached. So that
- 33:15Speaker 19: circle that almost a hamster will of church folks continuing
- 33:19Speaker 19: to talk to church folks they.
- 33:20Speaker 9: Got it or should have it, you know what I mean,
- 33:23Speaker 9: or just be sharpening their tools. What about all the
- 33:25Speaker 9: other folks they feel like coming inside the church walls
- 33:30Speaker 9: is judgmental or you know, you got all the protocols
- 33:34Speaker 9: and the rules, so to speak, But creating an environment
- 33:39Speaker 9: for people who love God, want a relationship with God,
- 33:43Speaker 9: want to be able to worship and come together with
- 33:46Speaker 9: folks that aren't looking at them for what they have
- 33:49Speaker 9: on or if they're able to recite the Bible scripture
- 33:53Speaker 9: when the pastor says and then blah blah blah it
- 33:56Speaker 9: says blah blah, they're not able to say it, you know,
- 33:59Speaker 9: like where's the for those folks?
- 34:01Speaker 17: So not your typical is just a space.
- 34:04Speaker 9: Where the church and the unchurched can meet in the
- 34:08Speaker 9: middle and everybody feel comfortable and everybody feel welcome, and
- 34:14Speaker 9: there's no levels to it. You know, everybody fits in,
- 34:17Speaker 9: and everybody's gonna come one way and leave different. And
- 34:21Speaker 9: I'm hoping and praying that they have their own experience
- 34:26Speaker 9: with God in that moment that can transform lives in general, just.
- 34:32Speaker 10: In the long run.
- 34:33Speaker 12: But that's the goal of not your typical Wow.
- 34:36Speaker 7: Okay, now, okay, I'm listening to you, Shanni. Now the
- 34:39Speaker 7: not so typical tool. I'll tell you what else is
- 34:42Speaker 7: not so typical about it is free. It's free public.
- 34:48Speaker 7: That's not so typical. That's gangster because I ain't never
- 34:52Speaker 7: heard it. So what I'm now trying to get. Okay,
- 34:55Speaker 7: so you open it up to the public is free
- 34:57Speaker 7: key And I've heard what Shani said. What's the takeaway
- 35:02Speaker 7: that you want people to have one state get inside.
- 35:07Speaker 10: Well, that's partly the reason why we made it free,
- 35:10Speaker 10: because we'd be lying if we didn't say we didn't
- 35:12Speaker 10: pay attention to social media and what the climate in.
- 35:15Speaker 11: The world is.
- 35:16Speaker 10: And there is this crazy notion that everybody who's involved
- 35:22Speaker 10: with ministry is trying to swindle people and take advantage
- 35:27Speaker 10: of them and you know, live on the backs of
- 35:30Speaker 10: the less fortunate so that they can be singularly astute.
- 35:35Speaker 10: And my wife, and I was like, you know that
- 35:37Speaker 10: ain't true, and were about to try our best, you know,
- 35:41Speaker 10: with all the corner and prove that. For us, it's
- 35:45Speaker 10: about the mission and it ain't about the money, and
- 35:48Speaker 10: so we gonna take the risk. I mean, don't nobody
- 35:51Speaker 10: do nothing starting in the negative. Obviously, we believe in
- 35:55Speaker 10: God that when it's all over, will will be you know,
- 35:58Speaker 10: at a break even point in some folks to come
- 36:01Speaker 10: around and you know, see what their contribution could be
- 36:04Speaker 10: to it. But we didn't start it for that, and
- 36:06Speaker 10: we didn't start it from that, And so that's the takeaway.
- 36:08Speaker 10: Number one is like, you know, it's some people out
- 36:10Speaker 10: here really really trying to do this thing for the
- 36:12Speaker 10: right reason. And you can't group everybody in to one group.
- 36:16Speaker 10: If you can't say all comedians are funny, that's a lot.
- 36:20Speaker 11: You can't put everybody in the same group.
- 36:23Speaker 10: So you know, that's our first takeaway.
- 36:25Speaker 11: The second thing is.
- 36:27Speaker 12: We're really trying.
- 36:28Speaker 10: My primary goal is to help people to form a
- 36:32Speaker 10: relationship with God that isn't based on emotional reinforcement. Like
- 36:39Speaker 10: I want people to know that there are people in
- 36:42Speaker 10: the Bible who had a straight up bona fide real
- 36:46Speaker 10: relationship with God, and they encountered him in places outside
- 36:51Speaker 10: of a typical church. Certain and we believe that wherever
- 36:54Speaker 10: we go, He's going to meet us, so we can
- 36:56Speaker 10: help people to transform their lives and develop a strong
- 37:00Speaker 10: relationship with Him.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Man, Hey, listen, let's take a break.
- 37:04Speaker 7: When we come back, I want to ask you all
- 37:06Speaker 7: a couple of things, because you made a statement about
- 37:09Speaker 7: social media and the views that people have on religions.
- 37:13Speaker 2: So we'll get into that when we come back.
- 37:14Speaker 7: We'll be back with more when Keon and Shannie Henderson
- 37:18Speaker 7: right after this Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:20Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Hey, it's Carla Farroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside.

- 37:57Speaker 7: Hey, welcome back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Special
- 38:00Speaker 7: guest this morning, Kean and Shannie Henderson out at.
- 38:03Speaker 1: The Lighthouse Church and Ministry.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Shannie.
- 38:08Speaker 7: Shannie just said in her intro the people who grew
- 38:13Speaker 7: up in the church and for some reason slid away
- 38:17Speaker 7: and it's coming back.
- 38:19Speaker 2: I can get cussed down in front of the pastor.
- 38:25Speaker 12: If the thing and comedy come out.
- 38:27Speaker 11: We're in trouble.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Hey man, let me ask you something. What was y'all's
- 38:32Speaker 2: opinion of the Drewski skit.
- 38:35Speaker 10: My opinion was, you know, initially I didn't watch it
- 38:39Speaker 10: because you know, I knew what it was, what it
- 38:43Speaker 10: was alluding to, and you know, I didn't want it
- 38:46Speaker 10: in my in my space, in my head space because
- 38:50Speaker 10: I'm a defender of the faith. I believe, like, yeah,
- 38:54Speaker 10: we got some pastors that you know, make mistakes. Hell,
- 38:59Speaker 10: I'm one of them. We all make mistakes, you know,
- 39:01Speaker 10: we we we're not We're not perfect. But I'm like
- 39:05Speaker 10: the same thing with police officers, the same thing with comedians,
- 39:09Speaker 10: the same things with actors. We have a guild, there's
- 39:11Speaker 10: a fraternity, and so I don't want to see anybody
- 39:14Speaker 10: go through anything, uh that that's terrible. So My first
- 39:19Speaker 10: reaction was not to watch it, so that way, I
- 39:22Speaker 10: didn't let it in my head space. But then, you know,
- 39:24Speaker 10: you used to come to the pressure, and I watched it,
- 39:27Speaker 10: and quite frankly, I knew exactly what he was talking about.
- 39:31Speaker 10: He didn't he didn't create anything that didn't exist. You know,
- 39:34Speaker 10: he he traced an art form that that really does exist.
- 39:39Speaker 10: And it is unfortunate that those of us who represent
- 39:43Speaker 10: God in some spaces and this doesn't just current throughout history,
- 39:48Speaker 10: have given him laws for the fire. But the truth is,
- 39:53Speaker 10: it's just like everything. Yeah, it's a bad apple in
- 39:56Speaker 10: every bunch, but all of us an't like that. A
- 39:58Speaker 10: majority of a are not like that, and so you
- 40:03Speaker 10: can't you can't see that and say that's what all
- 40:06Speaker 10: of them do. That's not what all of us do.
- 40:08Speaker 10: And so you know, my initial thought was don't watch it.
- 40:12Speaker 10: To come to the pressus smiled a couple of times,
- 40:14Speaker 10: but you know, I just I just hate that, over
- 40:19Speaker 10: the history of the world and organized religion, that we
- 40:22Speaker 10: have given him the spots for that flame. And you know,
- 40:26Speaker 10: we're just trying to that's what we can on our
- 40:29Speaker 10: end of the spectrum, in our portune of the vineyard
- 40:31Speaker 10: is to throw a wire on that fire and know that, Yeah,
- 40:35Speaker 10: we'll be wrapped in it. We'll be judged from what
- 40:38Speaker 10: people don't understand. But I'm never I'm never dissuaded by
- 40:42Speaker 10: people looking through binoculars. I'm only dissuaded aby those who
- 40:46Speaker 10: can look me up close. And if you get close
- 40:50Speaker 10: enough to us and you come away with that idea,
- 40:53Speaker 10: then we've got some changes to do. But if you
- 40:54Speaker 10: get close to us and you see that we're not
- 40:58Speaker 10: you know, we're not monolithic, and you can see the difference,
- 41:01Speaker 10: and I'm pleased with that.
- 41:03Speaker 7: Yeah, hey man, listen, Uh, we were gonna have two breaks,
- 41:06Speaker 7: but we're gonna We're gonna keep you all again. I
- 41:08Speaker 7: got a couple of questions for you about the tour
- 41:11Speaker 7: coming back up, and we'll be back with more of
- 41:12Speaker 7: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 41:15Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:23Speaker 2: Hey, Steve Harvey Morning Show. Everybody, welcome back to the ride.
- 41:27Speaker 12: Well.
- 41:27Speaker 7: Special guest this morning is Kean and Shawnnie Henderson, who
- 41:31Speaker 7: are uh the pastor and the first lady after Church
- 41:37Speaker 7: in Light House Church, Lighthouse Church and Ministry. I got
- 41:44Speaker 7: the paperback.
- 41:46Speaker 4: What happened?
- 41:49Speaker 7: Because I knew Tom was gonna say something, so I
- 41:51Speaker 7: hear him trying to stroll to him, right Pastor and
- 41:56Speaker 7: the first Lady of Lighthouse Church and Ministry. Hey, Shaannie,
- 41:59Speaker 7: I wanted to ask a question because you know, you've
- 42:01Speaker 7: been in the spotlight for some time now, yes, now
- 42:07Speaker 7: being married to a man of faith. What's been the
- 42:12Speaker 7: experience for you?
- 42:14Speaker 10: Wow?
- 42:15Speaker 9: One thing about being married to Kion specifically is that
- 42:20Speaker 9: he honestly makes me want to be a.
- 42:23Speaker 17: Better person every day.
- 42:25Speaker 9: I know, you know this Steve Like he is just
- 42:27Speaker 9: genuinely and consistently a good human being.
- 42:33Speaker 10: Like all day every day.
- 42:35Speaker 9: He's just a good human being, and he inspires me
- 42:39Speaker 9: to just do better, be better, uh you know, make
- 42:44Speaker 9: better decisions, just be a better human and an example.
- 42:50Speaker 17: Now he's a much better person than I am, because
- 42:55Speaker 17: I assu you know. I sometimes will go to him
- 42:58Speaker 17: and just be like, you know, we need to say
- 43:03Speaker 17: something and so and so, you know, and he'll just
- 43:05Speaker 17: be like, you know, so it's okay, just go a
- 43:08Speaker 17: little great sho a little more. So again, he just
- 43:10Speaker 17: inspires me to be a better person.
- 43:13Speaker 9: My experience, though, as this first Lady is.
- 43:18Speaker 17: It's interesting because I.
- 43:20Speaker 9: Think it came at the right time in my life
- 43:23Speaker 9: to where I'm mature enough to be able to adapt,
- 43:27Speaker 9: but not adapt to people's expectations.
- 43:31Speaker 17: So I'm able to take on this role without completely
- 43:38Speaker 17: changing my identity and losing myself.
- 43:40Speaker 9: I take on being a first lady my way, and
- 43:45Speaker 9: I believe that.
- 43:46Speaker 10: I respect the space.
- 43:48Speaker 17: I support my husband.
- 43:50Speaker 12: I have his front back and size.
- 43:53Speaker 9: I'm going to represent him the best that I possibly
- 43:57Speaker 9: can at all times. But I'm still remaining me and
- 44:01Speaker 9: bringing my who I am to this space, if that
- 44:05Speaker 9: makes sense right.
- 44:07Speaker 2: We've all seen everybody's growth in this whole process.
- 44:12Speaker 7: You know, you know this, ain't you know? Running across
- 44:16Speaker 7: the table throwing drinks? But that was never you anyway,
- 44:19Speaker 7: that was you always kept yourself away from that. The
- 44:22Speaker 7: other ones would run across the table throw a drink,
- 44:24Speaker 7: which is always interesting to me, throw a drink in
- 44:27Speaker 7: my face. We're not fit to be on TV next Friday,
- 44:38Speaker 7: not your typical Listen, hey listen. So this tour, this

- 56:44Speaker 19: For you.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Here it is strawberry lot of.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Thank you nephew. Subject. I want him to talk to me,
- 56:51Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:52Speaker 14: I've been with my boyfriend for twelve years and we
- 56:56Speaker 14: live together and we've been living like a married couple.
- 56:59Speaker 14: We have two children, ages ten and nine. We argue
- 57:02Speaker 14: a lot, and mostly over our parenting styles. He was
- 57:06Speaker 14: raised by a single mother and I was raised by
- 57:09Speaker 14: my grandmother who was very strict. He does not discipline
- 57:12Speaker 14: the kids, so when I do it, the kids end
- 57:15Speaker 14: up hating me, and he gets pleasure from that. He
- 57:18Speaker 14: makes the majority of the money, and I have to
- 57:20Speaker 14: ask him for money by the end of the month,
- 57:23Speaker 14: and he also gets pleasure from that, and that's his
- 57:26Speaker 14: little way of controlling me. For the past months, he
- 57:29Speaker 14: hasn't talked to me. I cook dinner and he eats
- 57:33Speaker 14: in silence unless he's talking to the kids. We have
- 57:36Speaker 14: movie night and he asks the kids what they want
- 57:38Speaker 14: to watch, but he never asked me. He will answer
- 57:41Speaker 14: me if I address him, but he does not ever
- 57:44Speaker 14: initiate conversation with me. I don't remember why he got
- 57:48Speaker 14: mad at me in the first place, because he's a
- 57:50Speaker 14: master at holding grudges for a long time. He can
- 57:55Speaker 14: turn the passion on for sex, and then he rolls
- 57:57Speaker 14: over and goes back to ignoring me. Brother called me
- 58:00Speaker 14: his wife the other day, and my man quickly told
- 58:03Speaker 14: him that we're not married. My daughter heard it, and
- 58:06Speaker 14: later that day she told me that she hates it
- 58:09Speaker 14: when her dad says ugly things about me. I had
- 58:12Speaker 14: no idea he talked about me to the kids. She
- 58:15Speaker 14: said I should leave him and she and her brother
- 58:17Speaker 14: will stay and take care of him. I bet he
- 58:20Speaker 14: put that idea in her head. He's turning the kids
- 58:23Speaker 14: against me. I wish he would talk to me so
- 58:26Speaker 14: we can figure this out. How can I get him
- 58:28Speaker 14: to communicate? Well, it's kind of late for all of that,
- 58:33Speaker 14: right now. You don't have two children. You mentioned you
- 58:37Speaker 14: had two dren You have three children. That man is
- 58:40Speaker 14: the third child, and you've been there, the recipient of
- 58:43Speaker 14: his bad behavior for twelve long years.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Now, twelve long years.
- 58:48Speaker 14: It's time for you to take a stand, some kind
- 58:51Speaker 14: of way for yourself, you know, reevaluate this whole situation,
- 58:55Speaker 14: because it's not getting any better, it's getting worse. You've
- 58:58Speaker 14: allowed him to treat you this way because he makes
- 59:01Speaker 14: the money and then he rations it out to you. Yeah,
- 59:05Speaker 14: that's his way of control. He pits the kids against
- 59:09Speaker 14: you too, but even they see the horrible way he
- 59:11Speaker 14: treats you and wants you to leave. So it's time
- 59:14Speaker 14: for you to realize that you need to stop worrying
- 59:16Speaker 14: about him and now worry about yourself.
- 59:18Speaker 1: What are you going to do about you and your future?
- 59:21Speaker 18: You take care of everyone, But you said this man
- 59:24Speaker 18: will eat what you cook, have sex, and then roll
- 59:28Speaker 18: over and not.
- 59:28Speaker 14: Even talk to you. That's mean he's not concerned about you.
- 59:32Speaker 14: He doesn't even like you. At this point, you need
- 59:35Speaker 14: to start putting yourself first. That means you got to
- 59:37Speaker 14: stop cooking, no sex, no nothing until he sits down
- 59:41Speaker 14: like an adult and talks to you. Then let him
- 59:43Speaker 14: know how you really feel and stop letting him use you.
- 59:46Speaker 14: Stop letting the kids see him do this to you
- 59:49Speaker 14: as well. And you need to get a plan together
- 59:51Speaker 14: because it looks like this is over and you're somebody's
- 59:55Speaker 14: gonna have to leave.
- 59:56Speaker 7: Steve great response. Only let me tell you something. This
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: is a completely unhealthy relationship. There's nothing in here of
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: redeeming quality for you, the woman.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: After all you've done. And do see you hear the
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: saying you can't change horses in the middle of the stream.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, ladies. You have to in
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: act your rights.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: You have to in act.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: You have to play your trump card. You have amazing power.
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: But once you relinquish that power and don't use it,
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: and we see that you're not using your power, then
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: we run rough shod all over you. And this is
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: what he's doing to this woman. He's running rough shod
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: all over this woman, and it's giving her no no
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: good in return. And it's crazy. You been with your
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: boyfriend for twelve years.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Why see, you.
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: Got two kids ten and nine, two kids. You ain't
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: see marriage in here nowhere. Before we got to ten
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: and nine, you didn't call in your your requests to
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: be the wife. We argue a lot, and it's over
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: your parent and skills because he was raised by a
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: single mother and you was raised by your grandmother who
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: was very strict.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: And then when you do discipline the kids, they hate it,
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: and he relishes in that.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: And then you say, he makes the majority of the
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: money and you got to ask him for money at
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: the end of the month. And he also gets pleasure
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: from that that's his little way of controlling me. No, no, no,
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: that's not the little way. That's the way he controls you.
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: That's his little way. No, he's turning the kids. See,
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: first of all, when you get a parent, that relash
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: is in the fact that the kids hate the other
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: person's discipline and he try to play the good guy role.
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: That in divorce is in the voice and the alimonic
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: cases and the child support cases. There's a term for that.
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: It's called the Disney dad. They call it the Disney
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: dad because when let's say a man goes over there
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: and he picks up the kid, he gives them everything
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: they want, prize and shoes, everything. So when you come
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: see him as all about everything. But then when you
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: take them back home, then the mother has to do
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: the work. To do your homework, do your chores, do
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: like I say, finish this issue our punishments. But when
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: you go over dad's house, it's all roller coasters and
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: happy time. It's called the Disney dad. That usually happens
- 1:02:52Speaker 7: in divorce and child custody cases with alimony.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: This is happening in your marriage. That's crazy.
- 1:03:01Speaker 14: Hang on, Steve, we'll have part two, whol of your
- 1:03:04Speaker 14: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:03:07Speaker 14: Today's Strawberry letter subject I want him to talk to me.
- 1:03:10Speaker 14: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: Hey, it's Carla Ferroll. Kick that old mop and bucket aside?
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: Are you ready for a mop and bucket clean in
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: half the time? Make the swap to Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: The on in one cleaning Hero has a built in
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: solution that breaks down dirt and grime like magic. With
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: hundreds of scrubbing strips on the pad, it absorbs sticky
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: messes with ease. Plus, it'll leave your home smelling great
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: for hours after cleaning.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Get yours today and.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: Mop smarter with the Swiffer Power Mop.
- 1:03:49Speaker 14: All right, come on, Steve. Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:52Speaker 14: The subject is I want him to talk to me.
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: Yeah, well, him talking to you at I think y'all
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: might be a little bit past that because I'm not
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: understanding what you're talking about. You've been with this man
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: twelve years. Hit your boyfriend, y'all not married, you got
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: two kids ten and twelve. You argue a lot because
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: of your parenting styles. You were raised by your grandmother.
- 1:04:18Speaker 7: He was born raised by single parents. He don't have
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: no discipline you do. When you discipline the kids, they
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: hate it, and then they go to him and he
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: relishes in that moment that you hate that. He relishes
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: in the moment that the kids hate you for doing that.
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: He's being a Disney dad in the house. Like I
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: explained earlier, that's usually an alimony and child support cases.
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: When the man goes over to get cuseity for the
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: kid for the weeknd on the two days and they
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: take them back and they get cotton can they get
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: eat all the cookies and ice cream and sneakers and
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: trip to the mall and movies. Then when you go home,
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: it's all work. He ain't putting no work in the
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: raising the kids. But now he won't give them there
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: with that's a di Disney dad. But this Disney dad
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: is in your house and that's trouble. And then at
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: the end of he makes the majority of money. At
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: the end of the month, you need to ask him
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: for money. He relatives in that too, and you say
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: he gets pleasure by that, and that's his little way.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Of controlling it. Well, ma'am, he's controlling you in more ways.
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: Than that, because this dude, man, you are in an
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: unhealthy relationship. Then let's finish out the rest of it.
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: I cook dinner, He eat in silence. What you live
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: in a house with a person that don't talk to you?
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: How long this has been going on?
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: And says?
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: And then unless he's talking to the kids, we got
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: movie night. He asks the kids what they want to watch,
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: but he don't ask me what I want to watch.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: Wait a minute, man, so he can just do you
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: any way he wants to, and there's no consequences.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: You mean you have to cook.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: He get to eat and don't talk to you while
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: he eating.
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: He'll answer me if I address him, but he doesn't
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: ever initiate conversation with me. I don't remember why he
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: got mad at me in the first place, because he's
- 1:06:12Speaker 7: a master at.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Holding grudges for a long time. Man, You just.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: Can I tell you something. These ain't real man traits.
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: Most men want peace in their house. Most men try
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: to be accommodating to their girl. He ain't trying to
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: do nothing with.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: You, but he can turn on the passion for sex,
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: and then he rolls over and go right back to
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: knowing me. Why you still having sex with him? What
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: is that about?
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: Well, you can't do that to her, fluud, those of
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: us men just's listening. Try that in real life and
- 1:06:51Speaker 7: see how that worked for you.
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: Man.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Shut up, I'm sleeping.
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: His brother called me his wife the other day, and
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: my man quickly told him we ain't married, so he
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: ain't got no plans of marrying you. He don't like
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: the concept of y'all saying y'all married, But he's getting
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: the aught. Lady, what's happening here is you've allowed this
- 1:07:20Speaker 7: man to get all the benefits.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Of the marriage and you get nuh.
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: He cooks for you, you have children for him, He
- 1:07:31Speaker 7: has sex with you, and don't talk to you after that,
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: and don't talk to you during dinner.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: One of your kids, one of your kids, says that
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: she hates when her dad says ugly things about it.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Who does that?
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: She said, I should leave him and she and her
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: brother will stay and take care of him. I bet
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: he put that idea in her head. How did you
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: miss what she said?
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: Though?
- 1:08:06Speaker 7: What are you talking about? He put that idea in
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: her head, and that idea with me and him will
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: stay with him and take care of him. You didn't
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: hear her say you should leave him because she don't
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: like when her daddy say ugly things about her mama.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: You didn't hear that part all you do. What's wrong
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: with you?
- 1:08:24Speaker 9: Now?
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: You condition to accept bad behavior, and now you're sitting
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: up in there talking about I bet they put that
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: in here that will stay with him and take care
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: of him. Lady, if you don't get out of there
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: and take them kids, I have nothing else for you
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: in this letter. He's turning the kids against me. I
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: wish he would talk to me so we can figure
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: this out. How do I get him to communicate you're
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: not He doesn't even talk to you after sex. He
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: don't talk to you when y'all eating. He don't talk
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: to y'all y'all movie night.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: He don't have a.
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: Conversation with you unless you initiate it. I wish you
- 1:09:06Speaker 7: would talk to me so he can figure this out.
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: Let me help you figure this part out. He don't
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: want to figure it out. You want to talk so
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: y'all can figure it out. He'll want to talk to
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: you period at all.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Ma'am, you've been beat so long by this man, you've
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: accepted it.

- 1:13:41Speaker 7: know how to do this. Had you did like I
- 1:13:44Speaker 7: told you to in the beginning, you wouldn't be feeling
- 1:13:46Speaker 7: this way. Playing on Out Dave.

- 1:14:03Speaker 14: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is
- 1:14:10Speaker 14: from Nicki and Coral Gables. Nicki says, I'm forty two
- 1:14:14Speaker 14: and I've been married for ten years. I just met
- 1:14:17Speaker 14: my husband's son that is twenty two years old. A
- 1:14:19Speaker 14: few years ago, my husband mentioned that he was mentoring
- 1:14:22Speaker 14: a young man that joined his fraternity. I found out
- 1:14:25Speaker 14: on Christmas Day that he was lying. The young man
- 1:14:28Speaker 14: showed up at her home asking to speak to his father.
- 1:14:32Speaker 14: My husband had to admit that he's an outside child
- 1:14:34Speaker 14: that he had while he was married to his first wife.
- 1:14:38Speaker 14: I acted like, is not a big deal, but I
- 1:14:40Speaker 14: feel sick every time I think about it. That's a
- 1:14:44Speaker 14: huge secret to keep from me. Can I trust this man?
- 1:14:47Speaker 14: Can I question him to see what else he's hiding?
- 1:14:52Speaker 14: That's what NICKI wants to know.
- 1:14:54Speaker 7: Coral Gable, well, see, I don't know. That's a tough
- 1:14:59Speaker 7: one because I don't know why he didn't want to
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: mention the sun in the beginning. In the beginning, I
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: just don't know why he kept that information out. Maybe
- 1:15:14Speaker 7: it was still up for dispute. You know, maybe he
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: wasn't sure he.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: Quite has I don't know. I don't know. But he
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: told you he was a mentoring a young man from
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: a fraternity.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you say some matter fraternity, don't Yeah, young man?
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: Young man had joined his return? Was it sec side?
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: I'm just.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Why sing that?
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Why who said that?
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: He going? Because my uncle is gonna have to address
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: this at some point. I'm sorry.
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: It's like I'm assuming that you referred to you know what,
- 1:16:01Speaker 7: he's steven A Smith figure, miss step I know it's
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: probably a lot of bruhs listening, so I got to
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: walk right there hill.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Plus, I know stephen A, you would be doing me
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: right now. This is on the other foot. You would
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: be Dad.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: You know, he would, you know he would.
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: I've been shamed before. He's texted me twice. I haven't
- 1:16:39Speaker 7: returned either text.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: You haven't.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Gotta return to text. See that's a frat brother.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: No, I don't you know you don't have to do that.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: He needs some guidance or something, maybe some advice.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Mm hmm, what the what the bru saying he got?
- 1:17:03Speaker 11: That?
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: Can't even repeat that. I can't even repeat this on
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: the hand that boy man.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: They're upset. It's safe to save.
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: God.
- 1:17:18Speaker 10: Man.
- 1:17:18Speaker 7: Let me just say this one thing I think I
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: beat okay, because this is kind of a unless you're
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: in there, you don't even know what I'm talking about.
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: But I look, the safest comment that I got from
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: a bro was you can can always tell when they
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: ain't been in the cut. That's That's the safest thing
- 1:17:42Speaker 7: I can say on this show.
- 1:17:44Speaker 11: That that was.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Man, So are you gonna help this?
- 1:17:51Speaker 11: Uh?
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Are you gonna take some backs? Nikki and Coral Gable?
- 1:17:58Speaker 11: No?
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah yeah yo Oh. Back to Nikki, what does
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: she want now?
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: Tommy?
- 1:18:07Speaker 14: She wanted to know can she trust her husband because
- 1:18:10Speaker 14: he didn't tell her about the son, this twenty two
- 1:18:12Speaker 14: year old son. They've been married for ten years and
- 1:18:17Speaker 14: he never told her.
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: I don't know why he didn't tell her. I think
- 1:18:22Speaker 7: you got to get into the why he didn't tell it,
- 1:18:25Speaker 7: because there's got to be a backstory behind that man.
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: Because the boy came over to the house on Christmas
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: and wanted to talk to it.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: He knew where he lived, Yeah, he know where he lived.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I need to talking to my daddy.
- 1:18:39Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna tell you a great story about fatherhood

- 1:25:27Speaker 7: Ste Yeah, hey, I was I was gonna share with
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: y'all a little while ago a great father moment that
- 1:25:32Speaker 7: I had my youngest son Winter. We're out of town
- 1:25:37Speaker 7: and we're getting ready for this gala. One of his
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: friends is going to the gala too.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: In its former so.
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: He had a tuxedo shirt and a tie, and I
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: guess Winter was trying to help him tie tie to tie,
- 1:25:56Speaker 7: but it wasn't working. So I get a call, he said, Dad.
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: He said, hey, man, I got a problem. I'm trying
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: to help Sean get his tie tied. He said he
- 1:26:10Speaker 7: got one of them tucks. See those shirts that ain't
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: got no collar on it, But I'm trying to put
- 1:26:18Speaker 7: a tie on it and it ain't working. And so
- 1:26:20Speaker 7: I had to get an understanding from I said, tuxedo
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: shirt without no. I said, you mean a wing tip? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:26:27Speaker 7: a wing tip. And then the dude he was he
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: had me on speaker and the young dude said, man,
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: how he know that? And then he said, so, Dad,
- 1:26:37Speaker 7: what I'm trying to do is I'm trying to tie
- 1:26:39Speaker 7: the tie, but I can't get to right. I can't
- 1:26:41Speaker 7: get to not right because it's all one side slant it.
- 1:26:45Speaker 7: I said, son, you're trying to tie a bow tie.
- 1:26:48Speaker 7: He said, man, can I bring him to your room
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: and you do it? I said, hold on, man, yeah
- 1:26:52Speaker 7: I could do it, but let me you trying to No,
- 1:26:54Speaker 7: it ain't a bow tie, it's a regular tie. I said,
- 1:26:56Speaker 7: you're trying to put a tie on with a wing
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: tip shirt. He said yeah, but I can't get to
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: not even a slant it. I said, son, you got
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: to tie a double windsor not. So the dude, now,
- 1:27:09Speaker 7: Sean is thirty, Winton's twenty eight. Seawan said, I don't even.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: Know what that is. But that sound right. So a
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: double windsors.
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: When you tie the tie one time, that's a single
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: windsor not when you wrap it around twice, it becomes
- 1:27:27Speaker 7: a double windsor and the knot becomes more in the
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: shape of a w is wider. If you tie a
- 1:27:34Speaker 7: single slot, it looks more like a V. So that's
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: to give you how And he tied it and it worked.
- 1:27:42Speaker 7: He said, man, this must be cool to have a
- 1:27:46Speaker 7: father like that. Now he thought he had taken me
- 1:27:49Speaker 7: off speaker, but he didn't, and they thought they had
- 1:27:52Speaker 7: hung up. So I'm finished getting dressed, and he said, man,
- 1:27:56Speaker 7: it must be cool to have a dad like that.
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: I ain't never had that. Winton's said to him, Hey, man,
- 1:28:02Speaker 7: I have never ever called my father in my life.
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: And he told me he ain't had no answer for me.
- 1:28:11Speaker 7: He said, Man, when I when I get something and
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: I don't care what it is, man, he has never
- 1:28:16Speaker 7: told me he did an answer, ain't no go figure
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: it out. My dad always has an answer. And I
- 1:28:23Speaker 7: hung the phone up.
- 1:28:24Speaker 8: Man.
- 1:28:24Speaker 7: I got emotional because I said, Wow, that's really really
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: cool man, that you can raise a son to feel
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: that way about you. You know what I'm saying, and
- 1:28:35Speaker 7: that was just a cool fatherhood moment because he was
- 1:28:37Speaker 7: telling another dude, I ain't never called this man, and
- 1:28:41Speaker 7: he told me he ain't had no answer. He said, Man,
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: my dad figured anything out.
- 1:28:45Speaker 12: Man.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: He said, that's my dude. And I hung the phone
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: up because I ain't know what else he was gonna say.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: And I ain't feel like crying because I'm trying to
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: get ready to go to this show. So I just
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: had a real fatherhood moment, man. So I'm saying that
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: to say to all the men out there as being
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: fathers to their daughters, to they sons, and man, keep
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: up the good work, brothers, because you don't know it.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: But I bet you, madam, I bet you.
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: Man, when you ain't around, man, they're remembering some words
- 1:29:16Speaker 7: that you said, I bet you when they ain't around, man,
- 1:29:19Speaker 7: they're remembering some lessons that you taught them, or or
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: some advice that you gave them. I bet you somewhere man,
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: when they get the chance to talk about what you
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: mean to them to their friends that they probably doing it.
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: You may never get a chance to hear it. For
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: me to hear it was like a real blessing.
- 1:29:38Speaker 14: Man.
- 1:29:38Speaker 7: It was just like it just happened the other day. So, man,
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: I just wanted to say to all the men out there,
- 1:29:44Speaker 7: that's being fathers.
- 1:29:45Speaker 12: Man.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: Keep doing what you're doing. Keep doing what you're doing.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: I know it seems sometimes like they ain't listening. I
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: know it seems like they seem to be taking you
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: for granted, but it's not always. It's the case.
- 1:30:01Speaker 7: Now, I will say this though. I was talking to
- 1:30:04Speaker 7: a group of men that I went to college with.
- 1:30:06Speaker 7: We've been friends now since nineteen seventy four, this group
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: that I still run when it's fifteen of us, and
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: all of us are frat brothers. Were all pledged at
- 1:30:19Speaker 7: one point in time with each other, all of us,
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: and so we have a special bond. But I've after
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: talking with these men who are now some of them
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: in their seventies, some of them really close to seventy,
- 1:30:34Speaker 7: like I'm sixty nine. Right, here's the one thing I
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: want to say to people out there. Most men will
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: leave this world underappreciated. Most men will die and never
- 1:30:51Speaker 7: get the flowers. Most men will get up out of
- 1:30:56Speaker 7: here and not really know what they meant to the family.
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: If you can, I'm just talking to me and women
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: deserve everything. They getting in more.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: But I'm just talking about men right now. If you
- 1:31:11Speaker 7: got a man in your life just being a good father,
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: if you got a man in your life just being
- 1:31:15Speaker 7: a good man, if you got a good man in
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: your life just being a good husband, tell him you
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: appreciate it. Tell him you proud of it, Tell him
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: thank you, because a lot of men are out there
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: feeling so underappreciated and the cold thing about being a man.
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: I heard this quote and it really ripped me. The
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: quote was this, a man spends his entire life providing
- 1:31:39Speaker 7: for people he can't live without, to make sure that
- 1:31:45Speaker 7: they can live without him. Ugh, Okay, tell you man,
- 1:31:51Speaker 7: you appreciate it. Y'all, have a great day today. Talk
- 1:31:53Speaker 7: to God today. He absolutely loved to.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: Hear from you.
