- 0:15Speaker 2: Back a million busy.

- 0:38Speaker 5: I don't joy, yeah, joy, you gotta do.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Turn love.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Turn you.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Gotta turn to turn the mouth turn You probably got
- 1:44Speaker 4: to turn mouth turn out, turn the money up.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Look, come on, come on you think that? Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 2: I sure will. Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 2: come on dig me now, one and only.
- 2:08Speaker 6: Steve Harvey got a radio show man. Oh man, ain't
- 2:12Speaker 6: god good?
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:13Speaker 6: Yes, hey, you know I want to remind everybody today
- 2:18Speaker 6: that you got to keep pressing forward.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Man.
- 2:20Speaker 6: I know it gets difficult out there sometimes, but you
- 2:23Speaker 6: got to keep pressing forward. There's nothing else for you
- 2:27Speaker 6: to do. The option of quitting, turning back, giving up
- 2:31Speaker 6: it cannot be there. The thoughts can pop into your head,
- 2:34Speaker 6: but when they do, you got to pray about it.
- 2:37Speaker 6: But you got to keep pressing forward. You got to
- 2:40Speaker 6: keep it moving, man. I don't care how dark and
- 2:43Speaker 6: dirty you get. For you, you got to somehow summon
- 2:46Speaker 6: it up within you to keep it moving, to keep
- 2:49Speaker 6: pressing forward, because the only way you're gonna get it is.
- 2:52Speaker 6: You got to stay in the race. You know, you've
- 2:54Speaker 6: heard it said a thousand times. The race isn't given
- 2:56Speaker 6: to the swift, but to him that didn't do it
- 2:58Speaker 6: to the end. You got to stay. Whatever it is.
- 3:01Speaker 6: I don't know what it is for you, but whatever
- 3:03Speaker 6: it is, you got to stay with it. Because Quentin,
- 3:06Speaker 6: don't Quentin, don't let you see the end result, give
- 3:09Speaker 6: it up. Don't let you see the end results turning back,
- 3:12Speaker 6: don't let you see the end. The only way to
- 3:14Speaker 6: see the end results is you got to finish the race.
- 3:16Speaker 6: You got to stay in the race because the victory
- 3:19Speaker 6: may be nearer than it seems. There's a poem I
- 3:22Speaker 6: learned in college under some stressful situations I've just said
- 3:26Speaker 6: like that. There is a stanza in this poem called
- 3:29Speaker 6: don't Quit that says, often the goal is nearer than
- 3:33Speaker 6: it seems to a faint and a faltering man, And
- 3:38Speaker 6: often the struggler has given up when he might have
- 3:42Speaker 6: captured the victor's cup, and he learns too late, when
- 3:47Speaker 6: the night came down, how close he was to the
- 3:51Speaker 6: golden crown. Now that's just a stanza in it. The
- 3:55Speaker 6: poem is much longer than that. I know the whole
- 3:57Speaker 6: thing because I learned it. But I've always remembered that
- 4:02Speaker 6: poem that the goal is often nearer than it seems
- 4:07Speaker 6: to a faint and a faltering man. And oftentimes the
- 4:11Speaker 6: struggler has given up when he might have captured the
- 4:15Speaker 6: victor's cup, but then he learns too late, when the
- 4:19Speaker 6: night came down, how close he was to the golden crime.
- 4:23Speaker 6: And there's the last stands of the poem says, it
- 4:25Speaker 6: may be near when it seems afar, so stick to
- 4:29Speaker 6: the fight when your heart is tited. It's when things
- 4:33Speaker 6: seem worse that you mustn't quit. That poem is really
- 4:38Speaker 6: it's an unknown author to the poem, so if you
- 4:41Speaker 6: want to look it up, it's called don't Quit. The
- 4:44Speaker 6: author is unknown. They never knew who it was. But
- 4:48Speaker 6: you know, I'm talking to you today from the standpoint
- 4:51Speaker 6: of encouragement.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I won't.
- 4:52Speaker 6: I want to show you an analogy that I've tripped
- 4:54Speaker 6: on this morning when I was thinking about something I
- 4:58Speaker 6: wanted and I was thinking, you know, okay, if you
- 5:03Speaker 6: have a job, the way you have to do your job,
- 5:06Speaker 6: your job forces you to do this, so you can't
- 5:08Speaker 6: just randomly do this on your job. A job forces
- 5:11Speaker 6: you to plan ahead a little bit. A job requires
- 5:15Speaker 6: that you go through the procedures in order for something
- 5:17Speaker 6: to happen that you want to happen. Example, you want
- 5:21Speaker 6: a vacation, you have to put in for that vacation.
- 5:26Speaker 6: You got to do that because the job requires that.
- 5:29Speaker 6: You got to put in for your vacation. If you
- 5:32Speaker 6: want a promotion and you see it post it somewhere
- 5:36Speaker 6: that we are now have a position opening, you got
- 5:38Speaker 6: to put in for that.
- 5:40Speaker 2: You just can't sit back and hope they pick you.
- 5:43Speaker 6: Because they're probably going to pick the person who wants it,
- 5:46Speaker 6: who shows the initiative to go get it.
- 5:49Speaker 2: So you have to put in for a promotion on
- 5:51Speaker 2: a lot of jobs.
- 5:53Speaker 6: If you want some days off, a couple of days here,
- 5:57Speaker 6: a couple of days there, you got to put in
- 6:00Speaker 6: for that. But all of these are things that you want.
- 6:03Speaker 6: You want vacations, you want a day off here, and
- 6:05Speaker 6: now you want some promotions.
- 6:08Speaker 2: If you want a.
- 6:09Speaker 6: Raise, you have to go in and request a raise.
- 6:13Speaker 6: It requires an action on your part on your job.
- 6:17Speaker 6: And guess what, we've all accepted this as this is
- 6:20Speaker 6: the way it's done. You want to raise, you got
- 6:21Speaker 6: to go in and have a meeting and take a
- 6:23Speaker 6: request so you can show your value to get to raise.
- 6:25Speaker 6: You want a vacation time, you got to put in
- 6:28Speaker 6: for that, and then they got to they can tell you, yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 6: your name, Okay, that's the deal with your job.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Well, that's the deal with your life too. That exact
- 6:36Speaker 2: picture that I.
- 6:36Speaker 6: Painted for you that you're all so very much aware
- 6:39Speaker 6: of that you're very crystal clear on the rules and
- 6:41Speaker 6: regulations that you have no problem following him the same
- 6:44Speaker 6: rules for your life. What you mean by that, Steve,
- 6:46Speaker 6: You got to put in with God. You got to
- 6:48Speaker 6: put in for what you want with God. And it's
- 6:52Speaker 6: as simple as that you put in you want some
- 6:55Speaker 6: more of this, some more that you got to put
- 6:57Speaker 6: in with God. You put in with your You go
- 7:00Speaker 6: down there and ask that man what you want, and
- 7:02Speaker 6: you ain't got no problem following the rules. Well, put
- 7:05Speaker 6: in with God what you want? What your list? What's
- 7:09Speaker 6: your request? What do you really want? How much money
- 7:12Speaker 6: you really trying to make? Where you really trying to live?
- 7:15Speaker 6: What kind of career and job would you really like
- 7:18Speaker 6: to have? What kind of person would you really like
- 7:20Speaker 6: to be? What type of family are you hoping and
- 7:23Speaker 6: wishing for? Who is the person you want in your life?
- 7:26Speaker 6: What type of person do you what's the relationship you're
- 7:28Speaker 6: looking for? What you want? You got to put in
- 7:31Speaker 6: for that. You got to put in. You got to
- 7:33Speaker 6: go to.
- 7:33Speaker 2: God and put in for that.
- 7:34Speaker 6: See, we'll follow the rules set up by us in
- 7:37Speaker 6: a system, but we simple rules of putting in for
- 7:41Speaker 6: your life. Man, we don't even do that. I wish
- 7:44Speaker 6: I would put in for a job and not put
- 7:45Speaker 6: in for God. You gotta be kidding me.
- 7:47Speaker 2: You think this man that has this company can has
- 7:50Speaker 2: more to offer to you in terms of vacation, promos
- 7:52Speaker 2: and raisers than God got for you for your life. Man,
- 7:56Speaker 2: you keep putting too much faith in Man, that's what's
- 7:58Speaker 2: wrong with us. I show Hor he give.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Me this raise, I'll show I don't even go to
- 8:02Speaker 6: people with that. I go to God about it. Then
- 8:06Speaker 6: God touched them people's hearts. Then when I walk in there,
- 8:09Speaker 6: it's already done. That's how you capture this thing, folks.
- 8:13Speaker 6: It's not a magic trick. It's just a real simple understanding.
- 8:18Speaker 6: Why would you not put in with God? If you're
- 8:20Speaker 6: gonna put in on your job. That don't make no sense.
- 8:22Speaker 6: Where you get the job from, where your boss get
- 8:25Speaker 6: his position from? Where did this company come from? So
- 8:28Speaker 6: when you peel back to but now that it all
- 8:30Speaker 6: make a lot of sense, don't it?
- 8:32Speaker 2: It really does. And I'm just a common sense god.
- 8:34Speaker 2: You know.
- 8:34Speaker 6: Look, I don't have the education that a lot of
- 8:36Speaker 6: people have, but I gotta show show enough bunch of
- 8:39Speaker 6: life experience though Oh I've been I've been getting smacked
- 8:43Speaker 6: and knocked down the majority of my life. Oh I
- 8:46Speaker 6: may look good to you now there look like he
- 8:48Speaker 6: got his shine going on. And I am grateful to
- 8:50Speaker 6: God for my life that I got now because this
- 8:52Speaker 6: show ain't the one I had, but I got news
- 8:54Speaker 6: for you. It ain't the one I thought I was
- 8:56Speaker 6: gonna have until I put in for it. I ain't
- 8:58Speaker 6: seen none of this till I put it in for it.
- 9:01Speaker 6: And you know, as I saw it shaping and forming,
- 9:03Speaker 6: and I said, God, could that really be happening? I
- 9:06Speaker 6: wonder if you could make me this, Lord, I was wondering, Man,
- 9:09Speaker 6: could I really have a syndicated radio show? Lord, I'm
- 9:12Speaker 6: make it happen. If it's in your will. I put
- 9:14Speaker 6: in for it, put in for it now. I'm working
- 9:17Speaker 6: my tail off now because that's a part of it. See,
- 9:20Speaker 6: but then God tells you that too. He says, faith
- 9:22Speaker 6: without works is dead. I'm working my behind off. But
- 9:26Speaker 6: the big thing is I put in for it. So
- 9:29Speaker 6: I got a bunch of more stuff that I don't put
- 9:30Speaker 6: in for God. I can't tell y'all what it is,
- 9:32Speaker 6: but oh Lord, have mercy. I'm in line. I'm putting
- 9:36Speaker 6: in for all the blessings that due me. If God's
- 9:39Speaker 6: passing out of raising blessings, I'm lined up. He passing
- 9:43Speaker 6: out a promotion. He's going to promote some more blessings.
- 9:45Speaker 6: I'm lined up. He want to send me on a
- 9:47Speaker 6: bigger vacation. I'm lined up. He passing out extra checks
- 9:52Speaker 6: down at the job. I'm lined up because I'm putting here.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Why don't you put into You're listening morning.

- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening morning show.
- 13:47Speaker 9: It is time now for Reverend Motown and Deacon deaf
- 13:50Speaker 9: jam and church complaints.
- 13:55Speaker 11: Let me clear my soak. Hey, yeah, we gavel.
- 14:09Speaker 6: In this uh poscurious way that we montificate in the
- 14:17Speaker 6: eyes of the benevolent, knowing that we are mistacologically born
- 14:24Speaker 6: of a bondacious time.
- 14:26Speaker 2: We look.
- 14:28Speaker 6: We look in iniquity, realizing that deprivarity and debauchery is
- 14:36Speaker 6: but a stone throw away. I stunck only be ever
- 14:41Speaker 6: mindful of the consequential circumstances that surrounds us in a
- 14:47Speaker 6: falling world. Ladies and gentlemen. Is now time for church complaints?
- 14:54Speaker 2: Lord? Yeah, a word a whole as I don't know
- 15:00Speaker 2: how to get into it.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Sister Venetia is having problems with her daughter Paisley. She
- 15:07Speaker 8: yelled upstairs and told her to turn the TV off
- 15:11Speaker 8: and go to bed. Paisley yelled back, then take the
- 15:14Speaker 8: cable out my name then, Uh, she wants you to
- 15:18Speaker 8: talk to little Paisley. He's getting out of control. But the.
- 15:28Speaker 11: If you're gonna use me.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Miss handle my credit while I'm nine, I should have
- 15:38Speaker 6: some say so. No, I can't get mad if you
- 15:46Speaker 6: gonna cut off the cable, take it out Monday and
- 15:53Speaker 6: sounds like a fair request to me.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And you cut your cable on and off whenever you.
- 15:58Speaker 12: Want to or there He yeah, all right, we're gonna
- 16:05Speaker 12: keep it movie cause we got us on the zoom

- 16:28Speaker 8: He turned the line more off and started cutting the
- 16:31Speaker 8: yard with some seals. He's asking, can you call and
- 16:34Speaker 8: ask her what she wants? But he ain't went back
- 16:36Speaker 8: in that house yet.
- 16:38Speaker 11: Well, that is uh the most troubling for words in
- 16:44Speaker 11: the marriage or relationship.
- 16:46Speaker 2: We need to talk.
- 16:51Speaker 6: Yeah, that has led to more unnecessary complications, more complications,
- 17:01Speaker 6: more diversifications than any sentence, uh in the in the
- 17:07Speaker 6: in the world. So continue to cut your where. I
- 17:10Speaker 6: will call her for you to see if I.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Can get you an inkling of what it could be about.
- 17:17Speaker 2: That's what he wants. But don't go back in there
- 17:20Speaker 2: till I call her. You've been warned.
- 17:26Speaker 8: I'm just saying, all right, Uh, this is this is
- 17:30Speaker 8: some devastating news he had passed it. This is just
- 17:33Speaker 8: this is a lot. This is a lot on all

- 18:25Speaker 6: which way.
- 18:25Speaker 1: To win blot it.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Since we all using pognifications, I thought I'd use my own.
- 18:35Speaker 2: I'd say pardon the pun. But it was more than that.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Oh I'm so miss.
- 18:45Speaker 6: This is always surprising myself bringing the wood.

- 19:22Speaker 6: Buddy, if you stood up at the corporation time, therefore,
- 19:27Speaker 6: it is your obliterity to fulfill the commitment that you
- 19:32Speaker 6: made for two thousand dollars or I wanna can someone
- 19:39Speaker 6: have Kryflo call me so I can work that into
- 19:43Speaker 6: my next Sir, you got people standing up for two
- 19:49Speaker 6: thousand dollars heim wing on wood in.

- 20:10Speaker 8: She said, don't worry about getting her out, just beat
- 20:12Speaker 8: her granddaughters behind.
- 20:13Speaker 6: That's what she wants. Granddaughter seemed to be a big
- 20:17Speaker 6: subject on this moaning shure. One of us forgot the
- 20:23Speaker 6: grand baby birthday and the other one got a roguish
- 20:28Speaker 6: or grandbaby. Oh, we're not in the child whipping business,
- 20:34Speaker 6: so we're gonna have to stay away.
- 20:37Speaker 2: We don't whoop nomber. Okay, we don't whoop children's.
- 20:41Speaker 6: We whips people's with the woodmen, that's all. And then
- 20:48Speaker 6: again we just sits by and watch marriage whip junior.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Either way.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Coming up next to ask the.
- 20:57Speaker 2: CLO want to watch them?
- 21:00Speaker 1: You're listening hard Morning show.
- 21:03Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour, we will
- 21:05Speaker 9: talk about Vice President Kamala Harris's new initiative with black
- 21:08Speaker 9: men that kicks off today with the Vice President in Atlanta. Steve,
- 21:13Speaker 9: you had a very special call with the VP Harris.
- 21:17Speaker 9: So you're looking forward to hearing all about it that's coming.
- 21:19Speaker 9: So we're looking for it. I should say to hearing
- 21:21Speaker 9: all about it that's coming up at the top of
- 21:23Speaker 9: the hour. But right now it is time to ask
- 21:27Speaker 9: the CLO. This is from Johnny and Nasau. Johnny says,
- 21:32Speaker 9: my dad and I have a mobile bartending truck. I
- 21:35Speaker 9: bought the truck and I restock the liquor for each event.
- 21:38Speaker 9: My dad is a master bartender, so he expects to
- 21:42Speaker 9: get sixty percent of our profits. He is more of
- 21:45Speaker 9: an employee than an investor. Should I get more profit?
- 21:50Speaker 9: Shouldn't I get more profit?
- 21:51Speaker 2: He's asking, Well, here's the deal.
- 21:56Speaker 6: You he's more of an employee at an investor. The
- 22:00Speaker 6: problem you got is without your daddy, you have no business.
- 22:06Speaker 6: Because your father is the master bartender. All you probably
- 22:12Speaker 6: know how to do is drive. We can get anybody drive.
- 22:16Speaker 6: So I think your father has you in a precarious position.
- 22:20Speaker 6: I think you all should go fifty to fifty if
- 22:23Speaker 6: you put up all the money. But it sounds to
- 22:25Speaker 6: me like you may have gotten some money from your father. Now,
- 22:32Speaker 6: if you haven't gotten the money from your father and
- 22:35Speaker 6: you put up all the money that was your stake
- 22:39Speaker 6: in it. He brings brand equity, years of know how
- 22:44Speaker 6: and knowledge and going into mixology, so now that comes
- 22:48Speaker 6: with the price. But I think he realizes that without
- 22:52Speaker 6: him you have nothing except a truck with some liquor
- 22:55Speaker 6: on it. So if you have already previously agreed to
- 23:02Speaker 6: the sixty forty, you have to pay it. If y'all
- 23:06Speaker 6: ain't struck out yet and made one dollar, then it's
- 23:08Speaker 6: time to negotiate, and y'all could meet in the middle.
- 23:13Speaker 2: You think it ought to be fifty to fifty. He
- 23:15Speaker 2: thinks sixty five forty.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Maybe it should. Maybe he thinks it's sixty forty. Maybe
- 23:20Speaker 6: it could be forty five fifty five. Meet in the middle.
- 23:24Speaker 2: But you do need your daddy, Okay.
- 23:29Speaker 6: Got a way to make more money is to get
- 23:31Speaker 6: a real fine chick that can bar ten and cut
- 23:34Speaker 6: your daddy out.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Oooh that and then he gonna flip that truck over
- 23:40Speaker 2: the seven want you know? Happy Nassau?
- 23:46Speaker 1: All right? Uh?
- 23:48Speaker 9: Melika and Stockbridge says, I surprised my husband by coming
- 23:51Speaker 9: home early from a bridal shower. I heard him tell
- 23:54Speaker 9: someone on the phone that his wife will be gone
- 23:57Speaker 9: till around four pm, so he'd be free to talk
- 24:00Speaker 9: until four. He said it was his boss. Was he
- 24:03Speaker 9: really working on a Saturday?
- 24:08Speaker 2: I don't know, Mandy, I don't know, m I don't
- 24:13Speaker 2: know if he said it was his boss. If you
- 24:16Speaker 2: didn't hear no female voice and you know all this here,
- 24:19Speaker 2: I don't know why you calling us? He told us,
- 24:22Speaker 2: but he could talk to four.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Now here's what you need to know is when you
- 24:27Speaker 6: came in, did the conversation end?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Uh? Huh?
- 24:32Speaker 2: It wasn't no talking to four.
- 24:35Speaker 1: The boss could be a female though.
- 24:38Speaker 6: Now, well, if it's boss, didn't we it's work related. No,
- 24:47Speaker 6: it don't sound like no female because she didn't say she.
- 24:50Speaker 6: She said he was talking to someone. And when I
- 24:53Speaker 6: walked I heard him say he could talk to four.
- 24:57Speaker 6: But now what she didn't say was when she.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Came in he hung up?
- 25:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:02Speaker 2: Or did he go off somewhere else and take the
- 25:04Speaker 2: phone call?
- 25:06Speaker 6: Which was you know you don't I don't talk business
- 25:09Speaker 6: in front of my wife.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Why was she being upset?
- 25:14Speaker 2: Why was she questioning him? If she didn't always y'all,
- 25:18Speaker 2: are y'all doing something?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Was kind of off?
- 25:20Speaker 2: No?
- 25:20Speaker 6: No, ain't something Some meanings off, y'all made it off,
- 25:24Speaker 6: y'all while you don't. First of all, you don't have
- 25:27Speaker 6: all the information. All she said was I heard him
- 25:29Speaker 6: tell someone my wife is the way I can talk
- 25:32Speaker 6: to a phone.
- 25:34Speaker 2: She came in. He said it was his boss.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Which could have been a lie.
- 25:44Speaker 6: But how do you but but I mean, what depends
- 25:47Speaker 6: on what she did. She overhear him saying, yeah, like
- 25:50Speaker 6: when you rub my back. Now, I'm saying, unless she
- 25:56Speaker 6: heard that, Shirley, that's his boss. What you're saying, we
- 26:00Speaker 6: all stopped wrecking y'all's marriage when they don't have to be.
- 26:05Speaker 9: Okay, all right, moving on.
- 26:13Speaker 6: Stay down, stay down, Stay down. You're talking with a
- 26:19Speaker 6: lot of emotion. Right now, you're gonna say something you're
- 26:21Speaker 6: gonna near to regret. Go ahead, shire.
- 26:25Speaker 9: Fay Nol and Raleigh says, my husband and I argue
- 26:29Speaker 9: a lot. And when I tell my husband that what
- 26:32Speaker 9: my mom said to me or about me, he'll stop
- 26:35Speaker 9: talking to her for weeks.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I told him to stop doing that. He said that
- 26:38Speaker 1: I need to stop venting to him. Then who am
- 26:41Speaker 1: I supposed to vent to?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Then? Well, I mean, look look for now, now listen.
- 26:47Speaker 1: You love that maw Fay now the way you said it.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that's a combination of faith and Nail Carter.
- 26:59Speaker 6: She could make up her name who she wanted to
- 27:01Speaker 6: make the name a baby after, So it's Faye Nail.
- 27:05Speaker 6: That's very close to fatal, you know, like someone was
- 27:09Speaker 6: fatal and then but they nailed it, so it was
- 27:13Speaker 6: Faye Nail. Anyway, I can't, I don't know, you know,
- 27:17Speaker 6: you people just getting tired of here, and you complain
- 27:20Speaker 6: seemed like to me, you know, cause mama, well, but
- 27:25Speaker 6: everybody because her mama turned on and say something crazy
- 27:28Speaker 6: about it. Then she tell her husband and her husband
- 27:31Speaker 6: kids speaking to the mama because he trying to side
- 27:34Speaker 6: up with the wife. And now you want him to
- 27:36Speaker 6: quit not talking to your mama. You just came in
- 27:39Speaker 6: and said that your mama.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Said you're stupid and you act like a damn fool
- 27:45Speaker 2: all the time.
- 27:46Speaker 6: And now your husband going down. Why you're letting her
- 27:48Speaker 6: talk to you like that? Now he don't talk to her,
- 27:50Speaker 6: now you're mad at him. We can't get in this
- 27:52Speaker 6: next question.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Last one speak, last one?
- 27:58Speaker 9: All right, Jessica in the DM right, I got a
- 28:02Speaker 9: speeding ticket and paid the fine, but I forgot to
- 28:05Speaker 9: tell my husband our insurance increased by eighty nine dollars
- 28:08Speaker 9: and now he wants to restrict me to driving to
- 28:11Speaker 9: work and for essential errands only for a while.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Does the punishment match the crime?
- 28:17Speaker 2: I didn't know your husband completely? Punishment?
- 28:20Speaker 1: What is that about?
- 28:21Speaker 2: Where'd that come from? You can't drive no more except
- 28:25Speaker 2: to work a necessary things? You're not driving no more?
- 28:29Speaker 2: Does the punishment fit the crime? What sit in the
- 28:33Speaker 2: corner and the marriages it?
- 28:35Speaker 6: I can't go in there and tell my wife you
- 28:37Speaker 6: can't drive no more because you got a ticket?
- 28:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 28:41Speaker 2: What? What?
- 28:42Speaker 1: This is too too much in the car?
- 28:45Speaker 2: Fasten?
- 28:46Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm talking be driving around this block, so damn fast.
- 28:51Speaker 1: In his car?
- 28:52Speaker 2: Tickets.
- 28:55Speaker 6: I drive down the street and find that sign to
- 28:58Speaker 6: say speed trapping.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Oh all right? So yeah, does a punishment fit the crime?
- 29:12Speaker 2: This is crazy?
- 29:15Speaker 1: Shouldn't be any punishment?
- 29:17Speaker 2: All right?
- 29:17Speaker 1: Thank you? Colo.
- 29:18Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour, we will
- 29:20Speaker 9: hear from Steve on our Vice president's new initiative involving
- 29:24Speaker 9: black men.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening morning show.
- 29:31Speaker 9: Okay, So, Steve, you spoke with Vice President Kamala Harris
- 29:35Speaker 9: and she specifically specifically wanted to talk to you. So
- 29:40Speaker 9: you got to tell us about the conversation you had
- 29:42Speaker 9: with the Vice President.
- 29:43Speaker 6: Well, first of all, I was honored, you know, I mean,
- 29:46Speaker 6: how would I, this little boy out of world Trust Virginia,
- 29:49Speaker 6: ever think that he'd be talking to presidents?
- 29:52Speaker 2: You know.
- 29:53Speaker 6: I mean when President Obama invited me to the White
- 29:57Speaker 6: House and for the first time took me in the
- 30:00Speaker 6: Oval Office and I stood on this presidential seal on
- 30:04Speaker 6: the carpet, I mean, you know, I cried because I'm
- 30:07Speaker 6: going like, wow, I wish my mama and Neim could
- 30:09Speaker 6: see me. Man, that this little boy that they had
- 30:12Speaker 6: raised and prayed for was talking to a president of
- 30:15Speaker 6: the United States in the Oval Office, you know, I mean,
- 30:18Speaker 6: I'm just amazed at that. So, I mean, you know,
- 30:22Speaker 6: I've interviewed I've sat next to Joe Biden, had a
- 30:25Speaker 6: special dinner in Las Vegas before before he was president,
- 30:30Speaker 6: and now you know we I've interviewed him, and now
- 30:34Speaker 6: the Vice President called me on Friday.
- 30:37Speaker 2: It was a schedule call set.
- 30:39Speaker 6: Up through Thank Monica Bond's Mississippi Bonds arranged the whole
- 30:43Speaker 6: thing for us and set it up, and she wanted
- 30:46Speaker 6: me to be aware of something she said, because I
- 30:47Speaker 6: didn't want to come to your town and not make
- 30:50Speaker 6: you aware of what I was doing. So today today
- 30:54Speaker 6: in Atlanta, Georgia, the Vice President's Economic Opportunity to kicks
- 31:00Speaker 6: off today right here in Atlanta, and the purpose everybody
- 31:05Speaker 6: of this tour is to raise awareness of how the
- 31:08Speaker 6: Biden administration's economic policies benefit minority communities.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Because it's so.
- 31:15Speaker 6: Much talk that you all are missing about this administration
- 31:18Speaker 6: and what they haven't done, and you're not looking at
- 31:21Speaker 6: what they have done.
- 31:23Speaker 2: And so this is.
- 31:25Speaker 6: To highlight what's happening through the policies of the Biden
- 31:30Speaker 6: administration to benefit the minority communities.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Especially black men. So listen to this, y'all.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Every stop is going to include partner organizations. It's going
- 31:40Speaker 6: to include federal agencies that provide much needed resources to
- 31:45Speaker 6: scale a business, to find a new idea, to lower
- 31:49Speaker 6: your financial debt, and to build wealth. And the audiences
- 31:53Speaker 6: will include black business owners, community banks, and federal agencies
- 31:58Speaker 6: that will help with access to capital and reduce financial debt. Now,
- 32:04Speaker 6: after today's kickoff event in Atlanta, Vice President Harris will
- 32:09Speaker 6: hold an event in Detroit next week. Additional dates and
- 32:14Speaker 6: locations will be announced soon. So the first two is
- 32:17Speaker 6: right here in Atlanta, there in Detroit and doing every stop.
- 32:20Speaker 6: The Vice President is gonna highlight how the Biden administration
- 32:23Speaker 6: has delivered historic investments in small businesses, with the fastest
- 32:30Speaker 6: creation of black owned small business in more than thirty years.
- 32:36Speaker 6: So for all y'all radio hosts, all y'all lit rappers
- 32:41Speaker 6: out here that's running around talking about Trump's for blacks,
- 32:45Speaker 6: Blacks for Trumps, blacks for Trump, I want you to
- 32:48Speaker 6: understand something. You'll never find nothing about Trump for blacks,
- 32:55Speaker 6: but all these blacks for Trumps. How it can you
- 33:01Speaker 6: be when a man does nothing for you, you wanna
- 33:05Speaker 6: do everything for him. So all y'all blacks for Trumps,
- 33:09Speaker 6: can you please show me how Trump is for blacks?
- 33:13Speaker 2: I did, just show me.
- 33:15Speaker 6: Just show me, And don't don't point to the last
- 33:18Speaker 6: time he was in the White House, this economic jump
- 33:21Speaker 6: for black people, because that was been a fitting off
- 33:23Speaker 6: the Obama administration.
- 33:25Speaker 1: There you don't come.
- 33:26Speaker 2: See, don't don't don't do that part. He didn't.
- 33:29Speaker 6: He didn't come in office two months later and then
- 33:32Speaker 6: look what I did. No, no, no, no, no no no.
- 33:34Speaker 6: Look what you inherited. So now this this tour is
- 33:40Speaker 6: gonna this thirty year jump that they've made, is gonna
- 33:43Speaker 6: highlight how record number of jobs, including two point six
- 33:46Speaker 6: million jobs for black workers, were created while achieving the
- 33:50Speaker 6: lowest black unemployment rate on record. This is after four
- 33:54Speaker 6: years of their bide administration, trying to make it eight.
- 33:57Speaker 6: We're gonna highlight how medical debt was heraised by capping
- 34:01Speaker 6: the cost of insulin for seniors. Lord know how many
- 34:05Speaker 6: of us is on that and expanding access to healthcare
- 34:09Speaker 6: with tax credits That led to a forty nine percent
- 34:13Speaker 6: increase in Black Americans.
- 34:15Speaker 2: Who are enrolled in the Affordable Care Act.
- 34:19Speaker 6: Now, I want you remember now, that was what they
- 34:22Speaker 6: were claiming was Obamacare.
- 34:25Speaker 2: That's what the Affordable Care Act is.
- 34:28Speaker 6: But don't you remember all the Republicans were saying when
- 34:31Speaker 6: they get in office, first thing they're gonna do is
- 34:33Speaker 6: repeal and replace Obamacare.
- 34:36Speaker 2: You ain't heard no more about that, have you? You
- 34:38Speaker 2: ain't heard Trump say that one time because they found
- 34:41Speaker 2: it out.
- 34:42Speaker 6: They found out his ragged ass constituents needed it too, right,
- 34:50Speaker 6: So now they wanted to stop calling it Obamacare.
- 34:53Speaker 2: All of a sudden, Now it's the Affordable Care Act.
- 34:55Speaker 6: You follow what I'm saying, y'all need to pay attention
- 34:57Speaker 6: to what this Biden administration has done. Get off the
- 35:00Speaker 6: sidelines and get out and vote, and they're gonna highlight
- 35:03Speaker 6: also how housing was made more affordable and childcare costs
- 35:07Speaker 6: were lowered by securing thirty percent increase in funding for
- 35:11Speaker 6: Childcare Development Block grant. And as you remember, the Trump
- 35:17Speaker 6: administration took all that away. You can watch today's event
- 35:22Speaker 6: in Atlanta at two forty five Eastern. All you gotta
- 35:26Speaker 6: do is go online to white House dot gov slash live,
- 35:30Speaker 6: white House dot gov slash live. I will be reminding
- 35:35Speaker 6: you of this at the closing remarks today. This will
- 35:38Speaker 6: be my closing remarks for those that miss it. The
- 35:42Speaker 6: Biden administration is doing something and we got to get
- 35:44Speaker 6: out to vote. And let's stop this foolishness about these
- 35:48Speaker 6: blacks for Trumps, because Trump ain't for blacks period.
- 35:57Speaker 9: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, Degenerous has
- 36:01Speaker 9: a new comedy tour. She opened up on stage about
- 36:03Speaker 9: losing her talk show because she's quote mean, we'll get
- 36:07Speaker 9: into that. Look at Tommy's face, you know he loves Ellen.
- 36:10Speaker 9: We'll get into a Tommy business. You're listening hard morning show.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Well.
- 36:16Speaker 9: Ellen DeGeneres has returned to doing stand up comedy with
- 36:20Speaker 9: her Ellen's Last stand Up tour that kicked off last
- 36:25Speaker 9: week in West Hollywood. On stage, Ellen did a lot
- 36:28Speaker 9: of reflecting on how tragically her talk show Ellen ended.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Back in twenty twenty two.
- 36:32Speaker 9: Ellen told people that she got kicked out of the
- 36:34Speaker 9: business because she is quote mean, and it took a
- 36:37Speaker 9: toll on her self esteem. She said, quote people either
- 36:41Speaker 9: love you and idolize you, or they hate you, and
- 36:45Speaker 9: the haters, somehow are louder.
- 36:47Speaker 1: You say that all the time.
- 36:48Speaker 9: Steve Ellen said that she loved her talk show yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 9: and that this was not the way she wanted to
- 36:55Speaker 9: end her career. So good for her, we say for
- 36:59Speaker 9: return learning to stand up and putting it all out here.
- 37:03Speaker 9: But the cancel culture is very real. It's all too real.
- 37:06Speaker 9: So Steve, I know you're sad about this. Tommy, Yeah,
- 37:13Speaker 9: you love Ellen, but Steve Ellen is your friend. You
- 37:16Speaker 9: and Ellen are are friends. So you have any advice
- 37:19Speaker 9: for Ellen.
- 37:20Speaker 6: She's going with your life. You got good life. Damn
- 37:22Speaker 6: that show. She got plenty of money.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Yeah, shows I have had counsel, just get off.
- 37:33Speaker 6: You know, she loved it, but I understand she got
- 37:36Speaker 6: put out though, because they said she was mean and
- 37:38Speaker 6: it was a lie.
- 37:39Speaker 2: The girl ain't mean. She's one of the nicest people
- 37:42Speaker 2: I haven't met.
- 37:43Speaker 6: You know, if you said they're gonna put me off
- 37:45Speaker 6: because I'm mean, I'll be going, Oh, well, all right,
- 37:50Speaker 6: she said, well, I guess I had a nice run.
- 37:55Speaker 9: But I mean, you said you've been put off a
- 37:57Speaker 9: lot of shows. But she said she was put out
- 37:59Speaker 9: and it's messed with her self esteem.
- 38:02Speaker 2: You know, no, man, see it.
- 38:04Speaker 6: Listen when when NBC canceled Little Big Shots and the
- 38:10Speaker 6: Talk Show at one time two hits, but to be
- 38:15Speaker 6: trifling to me? Now, the guy that did it, he gone,
- 38:19Speaker 6: he's nowhere to be fine. I'm still here, So and
- 38:24Speaker 6: with with with different opportunities presented. Because of that, Ellen
- 38:28Speaker 6: has different opportunities in front of her.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Now.
- 38:31Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure she was venting as a stand up
- 38:33Speaker 6: because that's what we do. So she was just venting
- 38:36Speaker 6: about it. But you know, it ain't really you know,
- 38:39Speaker 6: Ellen is fine, y'all. Don't even where about that.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Come on, Tommy, come on, I don't know.
- 38:47Speaker 13: Had time to get into it. But isn't it kind
- 38:49Speaker 13: of different for Ellen? You said you got canceled. It
- 38:52Speaker 13: was an executive decision, and I guess for Ellen it
- 38:55Speaker 13: was her reputation and the people the pressure.
- 39:00Speaker 2: See that we didn't know at the backlash.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's it.
- 39:06Speaker 2: You know.
- 39:06Speaker 6: She was surprised at the hate, yeah, that she was
- 39:10Speaker 6: getting and unsolicited.
- 39:11Speaker 2: A lot of people can't handle hate.

- 39:16Speaker 2: Because she can about everything?
- 39:18Speaker 6: Why do people go on podcasts and say somebody asked
- 39:21Speaker 6: him to be a king of coming you know what
- 39:23Speaker 6: I'm saying?
- 39:24Speaker 9: Okay, all right, that clears it up for me.

- 39:33Speaker 1: Coming up thirty four minutes after the hour.
- 39:36Speaker 9: Our girl, sister Odell will be in the building right
- 39:40Speaker 9: after this. You're listening morning show, all right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 39:46Speaker 9: like I want to know.

- 39:54Speaker 6: He probably not like me, No, good morning on the walk.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Lord moved me. You can love him, but molding me.

- 40:16Speaker 2: Not now we're going on today.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Well, sister o till I wanted to ask you about this.
- 40:21Speaker 9: You know, uh, so many churches have a long history
- 40:25Speaker 9: of political involvement, and you know because you've been there,
- 40:28Speaker 9: Like you say, no one loved the Lord more than you,
- 40:30Speaker 9: especially church's involvement with the civil rights movement. I know
- 40:35Speaker 9: you're always busy saving souls for Jesus, but what if
- 40:39Speaker 9: you started like a saving uh, like a soul's to
- 40:43Speaker 9: the poles type ministry?
- 40:45Speaker 1: What about that did.
- 40:46Speaker 2: That long time ago? Y'all just coming up with new stuff?
- 40:49Speaker 8: You know?
- 40:50Speaker 6: We had that lectures at the church were the one
- 40:52Speaker 6: that nominated hard Tudman to be the leader on the
- 40:55Speaker 6: underground Railroad.
- 40:59Speaker 1: We should let at her, yes, ma'am.
- 41:01Speaker 2: You know.
- 41:02Speaker 6: And one of the main attributes that she had that
- 41:05Speaker 6: made us want to put us she could handle a pistol.
- 41:08Speaker 6: Oh and we had stolen a pistol from one of
- 41:11Speaker 6: the overseers.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Oh okay, wow.
- 41:17Speaker 6: She was riding down the horse and for the men's
- 41:20Speaker 6: pulled him off and buried him and we kept his pistol.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Did she have any competition, any opponents?
- 41:27Speaker 2: Anybody want to go up against Harry Hair?
- 41:29Speaker 1: Shoot you he.
- 41:32Speaker 6: Was kept Hair could whoop Harry Tummy could whoop most men.
- 41:37Speaker 6: My hero, Yes, just crashed. She fought real hard, like
- 41:41Speaker 6: a wild cat. We like a bomb kept up in
- 41:43Speaker 6: the tree if Harry jump on you. So that's what
- 41:45Speaker 6: we did. And then and then we uh, we was made.
- 41:48Speaker 6: We voted Frederick Douglass in as Abolitionists of the Year
- 41:52Speaker 6: because he's doing the year. And we did vote for
- 41:57Speaker 6: Willy Turner. Willie Turner did. We went out on his
- 41:59Speaker 6: own killing folks, but we supported him. You know, we
- 42:02Speaker 6: was doing things for him on his behalf, Like if
- 42:05Speaker 6: he need like some fresh crushed glass or something, we
- 42:08Speaker 6: would do that. If he needed us to like put
- 42:12Speaker 6: some poisoning in the food, we handled that.
- 42:18Speaker 9: Up to today's time. Now we're talking today's time. Did
- 42:21Speaker 9: you know that Steve had a conversation with our vice
- 42:24Speaker 9: president coming.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I heard him say that ain't that something that he
- 42:28Speaker 2: had had? That that threk's enough for him to call him?
- 42:32Speaker 1: Yes, ma'am, that's special. Yes'm, you don't think it's passion.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Did she called anybody else?
- 42:44Speaker 1: Yes, she's talking about her.
- 42:47Speaker 6: I'm knowing Mom and Daddy, just your pridey. They could
- 42:50Speaker 6: be a hymns, you know, ma'am. Yes, ma'am sitting up
- 42:53Speaker 6: there watching from heaven and everything, watching this little boy,
- 42:56Speaker 6: because you know it was because when he was coming up.

- 43:04Speaker 2: gonna be any there.
- 43:05Speaker 6: And he studied too. Did he ever tell you he studied?
- 43:10Speaker 6: God have mercy. One time he gave an Easter speech,
- 43:12Speaker 6: and all we had cut it back down after you wreck.
- 43:15Speaker 6: He took twenty minutes to do his speech. H He
- 43:19Speaker 6: did his speech called he Rolls on the third day.
- 43:21Speaker 6: The third day we were still listening.
- 43:26Speaker 2: You mean, the title he wrote from the tyler of.
- 43:28Speaker 6: The poem was he rolls on the third day. But
- 43:30Speaker 6: on the third day we were still listening to the
- 43:35Speaker 6: so long. So the following year we gave him Jesus.
- 43:38Speaker 1: Well, oh Jesus was just too well, he.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Got that out in three minutes.
- 43:43Speaker 9: Lord, that boy, well he overcame his stuttering though, just
- 43:48Speaker 9: like that.
- 43:48Speaker 2: What I'm saying that ain't know I told you what
- 43:51Speaker 2: I was saying.
- 43:52Speaker 6: She ain't nobody see this hill, ain't nobody to see
- 43:55Speaker 6: this coming?
- 43:56Speaker 2: Yeah, ragged.
- 44:00Speaker 9: The President used to stutter too, what president is sure?
- 44:04Speaker 9: President Biden, he talks about it a lot. He's stuttered
- 44:07Speaker 9: when he was young.
- 44:09Speaker 2: But it's different when you stutter when you're white though,
- 44:12Speaker 2: and how so? I don't know. I just said, and
- 44:17Speaker 2: I have nothing to back it up. I'm just assuming.
- 44:22Speaker 6: When you black Pope and you white Poe him two
- 44:25Speaker 6: different pops. Black people know how to beat pope. White people.

- 54:34Speaker 9: Thank you nephew. Subject, how do I explain the silence?
- 54:39Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been married for three years and
- 54:42Speaker 9: I work from home, but I have to travel sometimes
- 54:45Speaker 9: for conferences. I often ride with co workers if it's
- 54:48Speaker 9: a short distance. Last week I drove and Don and
- 54:52Speaker 9: Calvin from work jumped in with me. I made sure
- 54:56Speaker 9: not to tell my husband, who was writing with me,
- 54:58Speaker 9: until we got in the car. So I could act
- 55:01Speaker 9: like I went up to the office and the guys
- 55:03Speaker 9: just happened to end up in my car. My plan worked,
- 55:06Speaker 9: and my husband called right as we pulled up to
- 55:09Speaker 9: the hotel in Austin. I stayed in my car to
- 55:13Speaker 9: take the call while Don and Calvin got our bags.
- 55:17Speaker 9: It started raining, so I had to rush off the
- 55:19Speaker 9: phone and get into the hotel because I couldn't find
- 55:22Speaker 9: my umbrella. I threw my phone in my purse and
- 55:26Speaker 9: hurried out of the rain. I checked in and got
- 55:29Speaker 9: my phone out of my purse. Don was in my
- 55:32Speaker 9: room because he had brought my bag for me up
- 55:34Speaker 9: for me. I had no idea that I had butt
- 55:37Speaker 9: dialed my husband and he was on the other end
- 55:40Speaker 9: of the phone listening to our conversation. Don laughed about
- 55:43Speaker 9: how bad I drive and how poor Calvin was holding
- 55:47Speaker 9: on for dear.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Life because I was speeding. We laughed and talked for a.
- 55:51Speaker 9: Minute or two, and then Don came over and hugged
- 55:54Speaker 9: me and put both of his hands under my butt
- 55:58Speaker 9: and kissed the soul out.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Of my body. That boy laid it on me, and
- 56:04Speaker 1: I was speechless.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Then he just.
- 56:07Speaker 9: Walked out and didn't say a word. My husband apparently
- 56:10Speaker 9: hung up at that point, and he called me back.
- 56:13Speaker 9: He said he heard that I had two men in
- 56:15Speaker 9: my car and I didn't tell him, and to make
- 56:18Speaker 9: it worse, I had a man in my room. But
- 56:21Speaker 9: what upset him the most was the long silence he
- 56:25Speaker 9: heard before don walked out of my room. How do
- 56:29Speaker 9: I explain the silence? I don't know what all he heard.
- 56:35Speaker 9: Do I confess or keep acting?
- 56:38Speaker 1: Dumb?
- 56:39Speaker 2: Girl?
- 56:40Speaker 9: You messed up, and you messed up big time. I
- 56:44Speaker 9: don't know how you can fix this. At first, you
- 56:47Speaker 9: deliberately didn't tell your husband about the plan with your
- 56:49Speaker 9: coworkers writing with you. That one worked kind of sort
- 56:52Speaker 9: of not really though, And then you thought you because
- 56:55Speaker 9: you thought you.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Got away with it.
- 56:57Speaker 9: But then you go and butt dial your men. Now
- 57:00Speaker 9: you know, I don't condone lying. I don't do that,
- 57:03Speaker 9: especially when the truth will do. But there are always
- 57:06Speaker 9: Steve exceptions to the rule. I hate to admit this,
- 57:10Speaker 9: but you know you can't tell your husband about how
- 57:12Speaker 9: this man grabs you, hugged you and kiss you, grabs
- 57:16Speaker 9: your butt comes.
- 57:17Speaker 1: You can't do it. Now, you can't do it.
- 57:19Speaker 2: We learn it.
- 57:20Speaker 9: You can't tell your husband that you know you can't. Yes,
- 57:25Speaker 9: your husband's not gonna take it well, to say the
- 57:28Speaker 9: very least, he's not. You say, do you confess or
- 57:33Speaker 9: keep acting dumb? You gotta keep acting dumb in this one.
- 57:35Speaker 9: You gotta act crazy, dumb, whatever it takes. But you
- 57:38Speaker 9: can't tell your husband that you cannot.
- 57:41Speaker 2: Steve, let me help this. You got it.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Help her with a lie because you know you can ride.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Three years you work from home.
- 57:51Speaker 6: You had to travel often, ride with co workers if
- 57:54Speaker 6: it's a short distance. Last week, I drove Don and
- 57:57Speaker 6: Calvin from work jumped in with me. Now, ain't no
- 58:02Speaker 6: two men just jumped in no car with no woman.
- 58:08Speaker 6: This was planned, and it was planned by Don and Calvin,
- 58:16Speaker 6: and you went along with the plan because you kind
- 58:22Speaker 6: of wanted this to happen. Let's stop this reindeer game,
- 58:26Speaker 6: little girl, you playing. I made sure not to tell
- 58:30Speaker 6: my husband who was riding with. Why why why? If
- 58:37Speaker 6: it's harmless, why is your turn to drive you the coworker?
- 58:43Speaker 6: It's your turn.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Don had a turn, Calvin had a time, Sheila had
- 58:47Speaker 2: a time. It's your turn.
- 58:50Speaker 6: But you already know you wanted Don and Calvin in
- 58:53Speaker 6: your car, you know, so they ride with me until
- 58:59Speaker 6: we got in the car. I couldn't I couldn't tell
- 59:02Speaker 6: my husband who was riding with me until we got
- 59:04Speaker 6: in the car, so I could act like I went
- 59:06Speaker 6: up to the office, and the guys just happened to
- 59:08Speaker 6: end up in my car. Wait a minute, So why
- 59:10Speaker 6: you gotta act like that? The reason you gotta act
- 59:13Speaker 6: like that is that they just got in your car
- 59:14Speaker 6: is because it was planning this way. You knew it,
- 59:21Speaker 6: They knew it.
- 59:24Speaker 2: My plan worked, and my husband called right as we
- 59:26Speaker 2: pulled up to the hotel in Austin. Oh, y'all in Texas. Okay.
- 59:32Speaker 2: I stayed in my car to take the call while
- 59:34Speaker 2: Don and Calvin got our bags. It started raining, so
- 59:38Speaker 2: I had to rush off the phone to get inside
- 59:40Speaker 2: the hotel because I couldn't find my umbrella. No, no, no,
- 59:42Speaker 2: because you can't get your hair wet. Let gonna cut
- 59:46Speaker 2: to this out right here, then listen. If we gonna
- 59:50Speaker 2: do these lines, let's do between the lines too.
- 59:55Speaker 6: You gotta get off his damn phone because you cannot
- 59:58Speaker 6: get your hairway, because the one that you like can't
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: see you with your hair matten on your head. I
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: threw my phone in my purse haired out the rain,
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: I checked in, got my phone out, my purse.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Don down here to one Don DELI wan cute Don
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: the magic wan.
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: Yeah, Don was in my room because he had bought
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: my bag up for me, not Calvin, not as uglass
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: free and cant Don.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: I brought your bags up to the room. Done, told
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: uglass Calvin, I got these bage dog.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: Don't worry about this. The plan we finally got up
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: here by myself. All right, come back, I'm gonna tell
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: you what happened when pretty ass Don dropped the bags.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: He is cute. All right.
- 1:00:50Speaker 9: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today Strawberry letters, subject
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: how do I explain the silence? We'll get back into
- 1:00:59Speaker 9: that after this.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: You're listening morning show.
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: The subject is how do I explain the silence?
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: See, you ain't gotta explain the silence? What you done? Do?
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: You gotta explain this whole trip that you Don and
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: Calvin had planned to take together because you act like
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: it was a work trip. And y'all drive when it's
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: short distances, and you went up to the office and
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: Don and Calvin was riding with you. Now you didn't
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: want to tell your husband that Don and Calvin was
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: riding with you. You want to act like when you
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: went up to the office, they jumped in your car.
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: Can't nobody do that without permission, without planning? Oh no, no, no, no,
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: no no no, I can't do that. My husband would
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: never allow me. He would think it's improper for me
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: to drive to men. Y'all drive all the way down
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: to Austin, y'all in the car. Your plan worked, and
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: then your husband call right as y'all pulled up to
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: that hotel in Austin her Calvin and Don. Yeah, so
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: now he called and you stayed in your car to
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: take the call while you watch big old strong Don
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: in Calvin carry your bag up to your room, looking
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: at Don back, just picking bags up like they was nothing. Donnie,
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: it started raining, so I had to rush off the
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: phone and get inside the hotel because I couldn't find
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: my umbrella. You had to hang up that phone rush
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: get into that hotel because you can't get your damn
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: hair with You could put your jacket on your head,
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: but you can't get your hair with I threw my
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: phone in my purse and I hurried out of the rain.
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: I checked in and got my phone out of my purse.
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: Don was in my room. Now wait a minute, now,
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: hold up, didn't you see nah? I read it and
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: the letters different.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I went it.
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: I went and get inside the hotel because I couldn't.
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: I threw my phone in my purse. I hurried out
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: the I checked in and got my phone out of
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: my person.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: You checked in? Oh? Really? See this is how I
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: know you lie cause you say you checked in, But
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: when you got up to your room, Don was down.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Now whole room was you in? Was you in the
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: room you just checked in and Don was up there?
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Was you going to Don's room the whole time?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Or did Don check in and get your key and
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: was waiting on you? Either way, how come you wasn't
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: surprised when Don was in your room? See, girl, even
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: when you type in you lion? Wow, but you dealing
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: with a professional. What I read between the line? See,
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Sureley didn't see this because she don't lie a lot.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: He just brought her bags to the room.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: No, No, But how he get in the room if
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: she just checked later on downstairs.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: She lied criminal minds.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: Don Don laughed, and they and I brought my bag
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: up to the room.
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: I had no idea that I had butt down my
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: husband and he was on the other end of the
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: phone listening to our conversation.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Don laughed about how bad I drive. You sure drive crazy.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: He was talking like that one car.
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: Watching you, you know, because you could have swerved off
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: the road, but I would have put my hands on
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: your thigh and lifted it up and put it on
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: that brake pedal in case it looked like you wasn't
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: gonna stop this car. You know what I'm saying that, Yeah,
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: And so Calvin was hanging on for dear life because
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: I was.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: We laughed. We talked for a minute or two. Then
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Don came over and hugged me.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: Don put both his hands under but yeah, yeah, that
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: crease right there, that that that cup crease that's to lift. Okay, no, no,
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: you gotta know what's happening here. We know, but see
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: you don't know because and kissed the soul out.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: Of my body. That's part for your soul to come
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: out your body. Kissing in here, stop booty kissing allowed
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: the soul to get out of an opening that ain't
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: hardly ever opened.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: Okay, then he.
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: Just walked and and and and and that boy laid
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: it on me and I was speaching. Then he just
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: walked out and didn't say a word because he knew
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: he had done what He came up there and kissed
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: the soul out your body. He heard you breathing, he
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: heard you stop breathing.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: He heard you say, wait, more.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: So gone.
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: That's the soul leaving. So he walked out and didn't
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: said word. My parent, my husband parently hung up at
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: that point.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: He called me back. He said he heard that I
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: had two men in my car, and I ain't tell
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: him and made it worse. You had a man in
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: your room. But what upsetting most was the long silence
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: he heard before Don walked out of my room.
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: How do I explain the silence? I don't know what
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: all he heard. Do I confess and keep acting dumb?
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: You got to stay dumb. But since you lied about
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: them going on the trip, let's continue to lie. The
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: silence was because he had walked out for a moment
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: and left his phone, and I handed him his phone
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: when he came back. That's all the silence was because
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: he was going out the room or husband, your phone
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: cut off?
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Oh the line drop? Yeah? Ok, those are true.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Two viable lives, Okay.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: That she could use. Yeah, maybe you had a bad connection.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: I don't know what's wrong. So what what's going to Hoe?
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: The kids?

- 1:08:48Speaker 2: But we're not getting a full sports report this morning, y'all.

- 1:09:00Speaker 6: I just want to just say to the public, this
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: is not the sports report. Junior wanted to do it
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: under protest. Go ahead, Junior, Okay, I can hear it
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: in his voice. He's doing this a sports under protest.
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: Timper too, is thinking.

- 1:09:34Speaker 2: That's because of the little short guy. Thank you.
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: I want to make sure we run. I know, yes,
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: I mean, I mean Tommy. Now there's some shortcast ball now, yes,
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: I have seen him all the great Calvin Murphy out
- 1:09:53Speaker 6: of Houston. Nate Archi ball, Come on, Nate Robinson was
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: a ball will Yeah what was that?
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Boy?
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: Mosey start with an em muggsy bowlus muggsy bogs. It
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: was yo boy, yo dog. It was some cold blooded
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: short people playing basketball. Was now one of them named
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: Tommy the great big up to the short NBA.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Yeah all right, Junior, thank you.
- 1:10:34Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour, a wife

- 1:10:40Speaker 1: We'll get into it right after this. You're listening Morning show,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:10:48Speaker 9: See this is from Deirdre in Valdosta. Didre says, a
- 1:10:52Speaker 9: year ago, I thought I married the man of my dreams.
- 1:10:56Speaker 9: Within three months of living with him, he started sleeping
- 1:10:59Speaker 9: and the guest room.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: He bought a.
- 1:11:01Speaker 9: TV for his new room without discussing it with me.
- 1:11:04Speaker 9: He told me that he wants to be comfortable, and
- 1:11:06Speaker 9: this is his house too, so he doesn't need to
- 1:11:09Speaker 9: tell me anything. This is my house and he just
- 1:11:12Speaker 9: got here. Is this a sign that he's going to
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: be more of a problem than a partner.
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: Well, let me ask you a question. Ain't he a
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: problem right now? And ain't he supposed to be her partner?
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: All y'all got to do is work through some communications.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: You know now when you get married. You know this
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: my house stuff. And we've been hearing about that a lot, lady,
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: all this what's mine.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: What you need to do is understanding marriage is a union.
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: And y'all got to get some communication set up because
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: obviously he's thinking some things that you're not thinking. So
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: you need to get on the same page. And many
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: is my house too, But you want to say it's
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: just my house. But I can tell you right now,
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: if you go do something in the spare room at
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: the house, you got to run that by the woman.
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: Because what you don't know, young man, is you finna
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: have a level of non. You're gonna have some non.
- 1:12:07Speaker 6: He's in your house.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: It's gonna be at a level you've never understood before. Crazy,
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: that's crazy. They just got Hey, now I'm not sleeping
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: in different rooms. Let's just stop that. What's wrong?
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: Hey?
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Hey, hey, time stop today?
- 1:12:27Speaker 7: And better fact, I don't even like the person writing then,
- 1:12:30Speaker 7: because First of all, my uncle is for me.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: I don't need him helping you. He got enough problems
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: with me. You don't have no time for you. Take
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: yours and lay out between you and Elie. I'm finna
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: lose my damn mond. All right.
- 1:12:55Speaker 9: For another one, Steve uh This is from Quincy and Annapolis.
- 1:12:59Speaker 9: Quincy says, I'm a forty year old single man and
- 1:13:01Speaker 9: I let a female friend stay with me and my
- 1:13:03Speaker 9: girlfriend for a month. It was my girlfriend's idea, so
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: I went with it. My girlfriend knows that I had
- 1:13:09Speaker 9: sex with a girl when I was in my twenties.
- 1:13:13Speaker 9: My friend left last week, and now my girlfriend has
- 1:13:16Speaker 9: planned a girls get away with my friend and some
- 1:13:18Speaker 9: other females. I am not comfortable with them getting close.
- 1:13:22Speaker 9: My friend knows all of my secrets. Am I tripping
- 1:13:25Speaker 9: or should I be happy? They're friendly?
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: You should be tripping to you still, you need to
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: be trip all.

- 1:25:19Speaker 2: Y'all forget that. I don't took back all those guild.
- 1:25:24Speaker 6: Things because you know, they claim that they don't like giving,
- 1:25:28Speaker 6: and they don't just claim it, they stop it. They
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: took all of that. The Biden administration put it all
