- 2:04Speaker 1: y'all listening to the voice, come on dig me now
- 2:08Speaker 1: on it only Steve Harvey got a radio show. I
- 2:11Speaker 1: was talking with my wife and she said something her
- 2:14Speaker 1: father always used to tell her. Uh Pop Bridges used
- 2:17Speaker 1: to tell all the time, just because you can do
- 2:21Speaker 1: something don't mean you should do it. You know, I
- 2:24Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times I've had to learn
- 2:26Speaker 1: that in my life. You know, just because you can
- 2:29Speaker 1: do something does not necessarily mean you should do it.
- 2:34Speaker 1: You know, I could tell people off oftentimes, but it
- 2:38Speaker 1: don't mean I should do it. You know, I could
- 2:42Speaker 1: go here and set the record straight a lot of times,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but it don't mean I should do it. Well. I've
- 2:48Speaker 1: learned a lot in that lesson folks, and because I
- 2:54Speaker 1: have a relationship with my creator. What it's done is
- 2:57Speaker 1: it's allowed me are to learn even more how to
- 3:02Speaker 1: stay still on a lot of issues that's troubling me.
- 3:06Speaker 1: It's taught me over the years. I've learned it the
- 3:09Speaker 1: hard way. I do want you to understand that that
- 3:11Speaker 1: sometimes it's better to be still. Sometimes it's better to
- 3:14Speaker 1: just let God handle a situation. It's hard to say,
- 3:18Speaker 1: and I know it's hard to say because we think
- 3:21Speaker 1: as people, but if I do this, I would feel better.
- 3:25Speaker 1: If I do this, they would know it's coming from me.
- 3:29Speaker 1: If I do this, now, there feel how I feel. See.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But that's not always the best way though, I found
- 3:36Speaker 1: in my life. See, sometimes you gotta like old people
- 3:40Speaker 1: used to say, you gotta let go and let God.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Sometimes you gotta do that. I'm gonna tell you something, man,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I learned a lot from my mother being a Sunday
- 3:46Speaker 1: school teacher. But you know, at the same time, when
- 3:48Speaker 1: she was when I was young, I thought she was
- 3:50Speaker 1: just an old, old person just talking to me. I
- 3:52Speaker 1: didn't get it. You know how you talk to you
- 3:54Speaker 1: know how your parents used to talk to you and
- 3:56Speaker 1: you didn't get it, and they used to always say,
- 3:58Speaker 1: well wait till you have your own kids. You would
- 4:00Speaker 1: get it then, and showing off you got it. Then,
- 4:03Speaker 1: Well I'm the same way. I'm no different you know.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I don't have no different life than you. You know,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I have no different upbringing in you. I don't have
- 4:08Speaker 1: no different different ways that I can live and you can't.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You know that I gotta live by the same laws
- 4:15Speaker 1: of the land that you gotta live by. I gotta
- 4:17Speaker 1: obey the principles of success. If I want to be successful,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I got a bam and you know, and if I
- 4:21Speaker 1: want to go to heaven, I go. I gotta do
- 4:23Speaker 1: what God tell me to do as many times as
- 4:26Speaker 1: I can. Now, you ain't gonna get it all right,
- 4:28Speaker 1: but he understand that, and I just get on with
- 4:31Speaker 1: the best I can. But so many times, man, we
- 4:34Speaker 1: get stuck. We get stuck right there, man, worrying about
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know, how how it's gonna come across and and
- 4:42Speaker 1: what you know, you know, kind of going around here
- 4:45Speaker 1: because I'm trying to find a way to tell you
- 4:47Speaker 1: this that that that you won't get twisted hit the
- 4:51Speaker 1: bottom line you gotta let go and let God. You
- 4:55Speaker 1: have to allow him to do it his way. See
- 4:58Speaker 1: my way, I thought myself to a certain point. But
- 5:02Speaker 1: to go further, I had to let God have it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You know. I found out I wasn't all that good
- 5:06Speaker 1: a driver. I found out I wouldn't all that good
- 5:10Speaker 1: of all explore with a map. I found out my
- 5:13Speaker 1: comper skills was oftentimes a little bit off. I found
- 5:17Speaker 1: out that my map reading skills wasn't what I thought
- 5:20Speaker 1: it was. So I had to let go. I had
- 5:22Speaker 1: to let God. And you gotta understand that God works
- 5:25Speaker 1: in mysterious ways, you know. And right how often had
- 5:29Speaker 1: I thought it was over for me? But what God
- 5:32Speaker 1: was doing was he was teaching me a lesson. He
- 5:35Speaker 1: was showing me something that I needed to know. He
- 5:38Speaker 1: was allowing me to experience some things. But he didn't
- 5:41Speaker 1: let me go under. You know how they say, God
- 5:43Speaker 1: and never put more on you than you can bail.
- 5:45Speaker 1: He won't let you go under. And but he did
- 5:48Speaker 1: not say. You know, it's like the scripture that Bishop
- 5:51Speaker 1: Olmer taught me when I was going through that traumatic
- 5:53Speaker 1: thing on the internet. Man, it was really really mad
- 5:55Speaker 1: trying to destroy what I had worked for and my
- 5:59Speaker 1: family and new life to God had presented me. And
- 6:01Speaker 1: the devil is busy. The devil don't like to see
- 6:03Speaker 1: you happy. So here he comes. He puts you under attack,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and here comes internet and everything, and my kids are suffering.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But you know, here here comes God. Though, see, God
- 6:12Speaker 1: don't put more on you than than you can bad.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Bishop Olmers sent me a scripture. He sent me Isaiah
- 6:18Speaker 1: forty three one and two. And then that scripture it
- 6:21Speaker 1: says to the effect that you can walk through the
- 6:25Speaker 1: water the rivers, and the water won't overcome you. But
- 6:30Speaker 1: then it said you can walk through the fire and
- 6:32Speaker 1: you will not get burned, nor will kindling set upon
- 6:37Speaker 1: your clothes. I learned something very valuable that day. See,
- 6:41Speaker 1: God sent me through something, but he was showing me
- 6:44Speaker 1: something too. Now he didn't do it. See, God didn't
- 6:48Speaker 1: bring that calamity into my life, because in Isaiah fifty
- 6:51Speaker 1: four seventeen it says clearly that if anyone comes against you,
- 6:56Speaker 1: it will not be my doing. But he now, this
- 6:59Speaker 1: is what he promise you when people come for you. Though, see,
- 7:02Speaker 1: and this is what I learned. That's why I have
- 7:04Speaker 1: no fear of the people coming anymore, see, because I
- 7:07Speaker 1: learned that. But God had to send me through a
- 7:09Speaker 1: traumatic experience in order for me to learn that. See,
- 7:13Speaker 1: you can't have a testimony without a test you know,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I'm standing. You can't learn nothing without a lesson. See.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So what he did was he allowed that internet thing
- 7:21Speaker 1: comes cross into my life. But he taught me something.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And Isaiah forty three one and two was and you
- 7:27Speaker 1: can walk through the fire and not get burned, normal
- 7:30Speaker 1: kindling set upon your clothing. So what that said to
- 7:32Speaker 1: me was, even though you're trying to do me and
- 7:35Speaker 1: it's fire all around me, I won't burn. But when
- 7:39Speaker 1: it's over, kindling won't set upon your clothing. What that
- 7:42Speaker 1: showed me was and what it taught me was not
- 7:45Speaker 1: only would I walk through the fire and not get burned,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but there will be no signs that I was ever
- 7:51Speaker 1: in the fire. There's no signs of it. But not
- 7:53Speaker 1: hold up though. Now he go to part though that
- 7:56Speaker 1: I had to learn even though you can walk through
- 7:59Speaker 1: the fire, y'all, and even though you're being flames and
- 8:02Speaker 1: scorching all around you, if you trust him, he ain't
- 8:04Speaker 1: gonna let you burn. But now hear what he did
- 8:06Speaker 1: not say though he did not say that it was
- 8:09Speaker 1: not going to be uncomfortably hot, wickedly hot in there.
- 8:15Speaker 1: He didn't say that. He just said you won't burn.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And when it's over, it won't be no killing on
- 8:21Speaker 1: your cause it won't be no signs that you was
- 8:23Speaker 1: in the fire. See what happened to me was after
- 8:25Speaker 1: they tried to destroy me. Let me show you what
- 8:27Speaker 1: God did from it. Not only did I not not
- 8:30Speaker 1: only did they not accomplish what they set out to do,
- 8:32Speaker 1: but when they was through with me though, when they
- 8:35Speaker 1: was through throwing the gas and throwing the fine, throwing
- 8:38Speaker 1: their hate and writing it in lyne and creating all
- 8:42Speaker 1: these names for themselves so it could look like more
- 8:44Speaker 1: people was hating. When they got through with all that,
- 8:47Speaker 1: look at me, man, Look what he did to me.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Look what he did from me. Because he taught me
- 8:54Speaker 1: something that day. And I'm sharing it with you because
- 8:57Speaker 1: God will do the same thing for you. But you
- 9:00Speaker 1: gotta trust him though. You got to get in there
- 9:02Speaker 1: and you got to let him do it. You gotta
- 9:04Speaker 1: let him handle it. So just like pop Bridge is
- 9:06Speaker 1: taught my wife Margie, just because you can do something
- 9:09Speaker 1: don't mean you all to do something. Yeah, you could
- 9:11Speaker 1: go down there and straighten the mouth, But should you though? Yeah,
- 9:14Speaker 1: you can go down there and tell them all. Yeah,
- 9:16Speaker 1: you can go down and stand up and make sure
- 9:17Speaker 1: they know it's your voice that they're here, and you
- 9:20Speaker 1: can get in their face and make a scene. But
- 9:22Speaker 1: should you though? Or should you let go and let
- 9:26Speaker 1: God see? So before we run all out in the
- 9:29Speaker 1: streets and somebody that that that that we forming these
- 9:34Speaker 1: groups and somebody go out there and do something crazy,
- 9:37Speaker 1: let's hold tight. Now. I'm not saying don't go out there,
- 9:39Speaker 1: but you gotta watch who you go out there with,
- 9:41Speaker 1: because somebody crazy you could be. You can go down
- 9:44Speaker 1: there with peace and your heart. Somebody this side, I'm
- 9:46Speaker 1: gonna throw a brick through here and bust a wonder.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Hold up, partner, hold up there, and what we're down
- 9:50Speaker 1: here doing. So. See, sometimes, man, you gotta let go,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and you gotta let God. You gotta let God have
- 9:55Speaker 1: a situation sometimes and you get it in and do
- 9:57Speaker 1: the things that he tells you to do. See Bishop
- 10:00Speaker 1: woman and taught me a lot. He had another book
- 10:02Speaker 1: out and he said, you know, knowing God's voice or
- 10:05Speaker 1: something like that. I'm not sure the title but I
- 10:07Speaker 1: never really knew the definition of how do you know
- 10:10Speaker 1: as God's voice talking to you, Well, he clearly made
- 10:14Speaker 1: a statement. God's voice has no sin in it. See
- 10:18Speaker 1: anything you're talking about. Whenever you're talking about, I'm gonna
- 10:21Speaker 1: go I'm gonna show him. I'm gonna get him back.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna write a letter and I'm gonna tell him
- 10:26Speaker 1: down at his job. If it's sin in it, God
- 10:28Speaker 1: ain't in it. See thats you now, God's voice has
- 10:33Speaker 1: no sin in it. So when you say God told
- 10:36Speaker 1: me be careful, because God ain't never told you to
- 10:40Speaker 1: go do nothing wrong, that ain't what he told you.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And I learned that too. It's a lot. So I'm
- 10:45Speaker 1: just sharing the day. I hope it helps somebody today
- 10:48Speaker 1: get through a difficult time because the show has helped me.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And I'm just talking to myself now because I got
- 10:53Speaker 1: another one I'm looking at. I'm dealing with it though.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm all good. Please now, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 11:03Speaker 1: here we are getting today. Um, you know, we're still
- 11:06Speaker 1: reeling from the actions of what's happened over the past
- 11:09Speaker 1: couple of days. These these shootings, man, are just ridiculous.
- 11:12Speaker 1: So Good Morning, crucially called Tommy and you know, you know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: you know, you know a part that I that I'm
- 11:21Speaker 1: listening to. I listened to the Republicans and Democrats. So
- 11:26Speaker 1: now the Republicans, Uh, Jeff Sessions was on CNN yesterday
- 11:31Speaker 1: and he was talking about how they've got to do
- 11:33Speaker 1: something to change it. Well, but they never say what
- 11:37Speaker 1: they're going. So the argument is the Republicans say, there
- 11:42Speaker 1: are five million of these assault weapons out on the streets,
- 11:48Speaker 1: and what you cannot do is go out here and
- 11:51Speaker 1: disarm five million people. These guns are already out here,
- 11:56Speaker 1: So that's what helps them stop any bipartisan push for
- 12:02Speaker 1: gun laws and gun control, which is horrific. Man, it
- 12:06Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense. I got that's five million out there.
- 12:09Speaker 1: We're just talking about the one that's doing the shooting
- 12:12Speaker 1: at that particular time. And there's no guarantee that this
- 12:16Speaker 1: five million was already out there, or if it wasn't
- 12:19Speaker 1: recently purchased over the past six months, when we could
- 12:22Speaker 1: have gun laws in place to stop this. Not to
- 12:24Speaker 1: mention the five minute out there, it's easy to get
- 12:27Speaker 1: guns at these gun shows. If you go to these
- 12:29Speaker 1: guns shows, you can get cannons, you can get bazookers
- 12:36Speaker 1: and a gun show. You can just walk in and
- 12:39Speaker 1: get this stuff. So they need to be stopped right here.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I I was thinking this. When a person sets up
- 12:47Speaker 1: shop to have a gun show, you know, somebody's gotta
- 12:50Speaker 1: initiate a gun show. We've got to have laws in
- 12:53Speaker 1: place where they have to pay for state officials and
- 12:58Speaker 1: the sheriff's department took come and register every single purchase.
- 13:05Speaker 1: See now, if you're okay, for example, if you're gonna
- 13:07Speaker 1: throw a gun show, here's the fee to get the
- 13:13Speaker 1: state officials day and the local UH law enforcement department there,
- 13:18Speaker 1: this is their fee. And every gun that comes out
- 13:22Speaker 1: of that door has to get registered. And you can
- 13:27Speaker 1: buy the gun, we hold it, we run the background check.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Two weeks later. After background checks, you can get your
- 13:33Speaker 1: gun if you qualify. Well, don't they don't They buy
- 13:36Speaker 1: ammunition there as well. If they already have guns you
- 13:41Speaker 1: can buy. I think the background check is dated too,
- 13:48Speaker 1: because this young man that did this in Florida, he
- 13:51Speaker 1: was all on social media. So they need to check
- 13:54Speaker 1: social media now with background checks and and get updated
- 13:59Speaker 1: as to how their kacking out these individuals that are
- 14:01Speaker 1: paraching purchasing guns. He was all on social media holding
- 14:05Speaker 1: up guns and targets because we're the only one that's
- 14:09Speaker 1: so free that allows guns to move in and out.
- 14:12Speaker 1: However they won't. You can't carry a gun in most countries, right, blue, right,
- 14:20Speaker 1: But we also have the most crowded prison system in
- 14:24Speaker 1: the world. Something wrong because our our our solution to
- 14:29Speaker 1: the problem is you go ahead and do the crame.
- 14:31Speaker 1: We're gonna put you in jail instead of addressing let's
- 14:34Speaker 1: stop the crime. Alright, UM, we'll be back to talk
- 14:38Speaker 1: more about this um at thirty two after the hour
- 14:41Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steven Show. More details are coming
- 14:46Speaker 1: in about Nicholas Cruz, a nineteen year old identified as
- 14:49Speaker 1: a suspect and Wednesday shooting at Parkland, Florida High school
- 14:53Speaker 1: that killed at least seventeen people. Several more are injured.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Although crews tried to escape by blend in with the
- 15:00Speaker 1: other students evacuating the school, he was detained by authorities
- 15:04Speaker 1: and arrested, Thank thank god. He has charged with seventeen
- 15:08Speaker 1: counts of premeditated murder. Uh. He reportedly had an A
- 15:12Speaker 1: R fifteen that's an assault rifle fifteen. That's the type
- 15:16Speaker 1: of semi automatic rifle and countless magazines. That's according to
- 15:19Speaker 1: the Broward Sheriff's Office, um Browart County Sheriff's Office. He
- 15:23Speaker 1: was also carrying smoke grenades and wearing a gas mask. Okay,
- 15:27Speaker 1: now here's the problem. Here's a problem with all of this.
- 15:31Speaker 1: He's the guy. I'm watching news yesterday and they're saying
- 15:35Speaker 1: that they got to get all the video footage they
- 15:38Speaker 1: came to prepare the case against him. This is department.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Now I'm stuck because see our countrymen, so that don't
- 15:48Speaker 1: due process? That do Now, now we're gonna get his
- 15:50Speaker 1: dude some damn due process. Do you know? It's stuff
- 15:54Speaker 1: out here you can get accused of and you don't
- 15:56Speaker 1: get no due process. You're just gone. Well you can
- 15:59Speaker 1: walk in a school kills seventeen kids. We know's you.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Why are we having a trial and wasting some more money.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Timothy McVeigh was the dude that blew up the damn
- 16:13Speaker 1: building in Oklahoma? Is what is him? The un Obama?
- 16:19Speaker 1: It was him? We got to do that ran over
- 16:22Speaker 1: them people in New York? Was him? What? What is
- 16:27Speaker 1: the rest of this? The red head? That's right, it's you.
- 16:38Speaker 1: It's no one else, it's you, no more trials. We
- 16:42Speaker 1: gotta do something with these people immediately. And I'm and
- 16:46Speaker 1: and and here's another thing too, and this is a
- 16:49Speaker 1: little off the subject, but it's about the judicial system.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Here's what I think, man. I think that people who
- 16:57Speaker 1: file charges, who take a the people to court, know
- 17:01Speaker 1: when they're wrong, know when they're wrong, just to see
- 17:06Speaker 1: what they can get. Then they find out they wrong.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Guess what they get to do. They get to go
- 17:11Speaker 1: on skip to the house libel suits. You sue a
- 17:14Speaker 1: person for something he did to you, then come to
- 17:17Speaker 1: find out you in that line he didn't do nothing
- 17:19Speaker 1: to you. Well, I try to make this money. What
- 17:22Speaker 1: happened to they asked nothing. You can buy a gun,
- 17:26Speaker 1: you can buy advice to put on the gun automatic
- 17:29Speaker 1: and drive in certain states. You can have an open
- 17:33Speaker 1: container in certain states open carry gun laws. And you
- 17:37Speaker 1: could be a grown ass man and talk to a
- 17:39Speaker 1: little baby girl that's sixteen teachers, did you hear me?
- 17:45Speaker 1: They got states where you can be a grown ass
- 17:48Speaker 1: man and talk to a little sixteen year old girl.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And it's cool. How ignorant is that? Well, um Steve.
- 17:56Speaker 1: It was reported that Cruise the shooter set off the
- 17:59Speaker 1: fire or alarmed at the school, so kids would come
- 18:02Speaker 1: pouring out of the classrooms into the hall during the
- 18:06Speaker 1: shooting spree. While investigators are still looking at his motive
- 18:10Speaker 1: for the shooting, we do know that he was expelled
- 18:13Speaker 1: from the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School where the shooting
- 18:15Speaker 1: took place, for disciplinary reasons that included threatening other students.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Some students at the school said they knew that Cruise
- 18:23Speaker 1: was a bit off and was into guns. I felt
- 18:27Speaker 1: he was nineteen, right, Yeah, yeah, so that was his
- 18:31Speaker 1: former school. Obviously he was grown student ex students, so
- 18:35Speaker 1: he went back to the school where he went where
- 18:38Speaker 1: he attended, or he was expelled from premeditated to Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 1: but see, we keep ignoring and I gotta keep saying this,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and I'm watching CNN, but I'm watching Fox that I can't.
- 18:50Speaker 1: It's amazing to me how they keep trying to make
- 18:54Speaker 1: this not a gun issue when it's the guns that's
- 18:59Speaker 1: that's that's cars in these depths, people use them. But
- 19:02Speaker 1: we gotta stop this man eight case they assault rifles.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Mm hmm. Oh, this is the only time we talked
- 19:11Speaker 1: about this, Steve is when something tragic like this happens. Unfortunately,
- 19:16Speaker 1: you know, then the country talks about it, then it
- 19:18Speaker 1: goes away and it happens again. Well, here's the deal.
- 19:22Speaker 1: The n r A is one of the largest lobbyists
- 19:24Speaker 1: in our country. They make more political contributions than does anyone.
- 19:31Speaker 1: So they make contributions to the Republican Party. This is
- 19:36Speaker 1: a fact. They don't make contributions to the Democratic Party.
- 19:40Speaker 1: They make contributions to the Republican Party. All of these
- 19:44Speaker 1: candidates benefit from funding from the Republican Committee. Part of
- 19:52Speaker 1: that thing is upholding the Second Amendment. And upholding the
- 19:57Speaker 1: Second Amendment it allows them to freely manufactured and sale guns.
- 20:04Speaker 1: They happen to not care who they sell them to,
- 20:08Speaker 1: so they don't want any curbing of sales of firearms
- 20:12Speaker 1: because it affects their bottom line. And if you are
- 20:16Speaker 1: a Republican and you speak against the Second Amended Amendment,
- 20:20Speaker 1: they pull funding from you. They will tell you they'll
- 20:23Speaker 1: pull your funding and put it behind the candidate that's
- 20:26Speaker 1: running against you. And do you know that when you
- 20:30Speaker 1: have tragedies like this, it helps themselves more guns. Protect yourself,
- 20:39Speaker 1: protect yourself. So it's a funny thing they allow for
- 20:44Speaker 1: gun sales. That shows anywhere they can sell them, they
- 20:47Speaker 1: just increase their bottom line. Then they turn around and go,
- 20:51Speaker 1: we gotta protect ourselves. So now here go mo. Gun
- 20:55Speaker 1: sales is up in case some food come at you
- 20:57Speaker 1: with an a K vote to whatever it is is
- 21:04Speaker 1: what you do when you put a seven making an
- 21:06Speaker 1: automatic on that particular gun. But what also happens is
- 21:10Speaker 1: these tragedies are like commercials to sell more guns. Really no,
- 21:15Speaker 1: you're right, j there's certainly they're not definitely talking about it.
- 21:20Speaker 1: And who they accept This money from the n r
- 21:23Speaker 1: A is huge at all Republican conventions because they uphold
- 21:28Speaker 1: the Second Amendment. This amendment needs to be amended just
- 21:33Speaker 1: like the other amended. Stay ahead, you know they have
- 21:35Speaker 1: some amendments in our constitution. Ain't right now, But all right,
- 21:39Speaker 1: we're gonna We're gonna keep this conversation going on all morning,

- 38:05Speaker 1: Handler said it is disgusting how many times this has
- 38:08Speaker 1: happened and Republicans do nothing. Kim Kardashian called on Congress
- 38:13Speaker 1: to do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence.

- 38:28Speaker 1: Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School. Wow. I mean yeah, it's
- 38:35Speaker 1: so sad that we're here again. Here we are again
- 38:38Speaker 1: at the same spot. Three months, two months into the
- 38:41Speaker 1: ar nineteen shootings are and then it dies down. It
- 38:44Speaker 1: goes down, and it goes and then it comes back again. Yeah. Right,

- 39:36Speaker 1: a one of these children has been the child of
- 39:41Speaker 1: a senator or congressman. What's sad about this is if
- 39:48Speaker 1: it were to happened to one of them, I can
- 39:51Speaker 1: assure you they would feel differently. All we're asking is,
- 39:56Speaker 1: why can't you feel differently with it happening to other people?
- 40:00Speaker 1: Where's your sensitivity level for others, your compassion for others
- 40:04Speaker 1: instead of you holding onto your title as a Republican
- 40:08Speaker 1: because the n r A and the gun people lobby
- 40:12Speaker 1: and give y'all so much money. The n r A
- 40:15Speaker 1: is at every Republican convention. It ain't never had the

- 42:31Speaker 1: with the famous to be like they try. It makes
- 42:36Speaker 1: no sense to me. And they need to know that
- 42:40Speaker 1: they got to go and nothing one of the one
- 42:44Speaker 1: of them. One of the one of the one of
- 42:48Speaker 1: the one of these cash not I've never knowne. You
- 42:54Speaker 1: gotta drink down and saying because you buy me one
- 42:56Speaker 1: ain't got no money, ducking trash. Don't know why they come.
- 42:58Speaker 1: They want to take it because that they would never
- 43:00Speaker 1: let them in. You know they're coming back again, do
- 43:02Speaker 1: it every time you try to change them, but they
- 43:04Speaker 1: show up on a dime then with your thing, got
- 43:06Speaker 1: no shame and don't care how so I do something
- 43:08Speaker 1: nap talking right now, it makes no sense to me
- 43:12Speaker 1: and nothing. They need to know that that they got
- 43:15Speaker 1: to go and that one of the one of me,
- 43:19Speaker 1: one of these, one of one of the one of these,
- 43:26Speaker 1: one of me, one of the one of these, one
- 43:31Speaker 1: of the one of day, one of these. Whoa really
- 43:35Speaker 1: change the song, Steve, don't we don't want to be?
- 43:44Speaker 1: To be all that song needed? Chake, Yeah, we gotta

- 48:09Speaker 1: my taxes this year? Right? I mean like you knows
- 48:12Speaker 1: as a dependent, So you're asking some real personal questions now,
- 48:17Speaker 1: you know, like you're the guy that you just that
- 48:19Speaker 1: you know me from the basketball team that my sons
- 48:23Speaker 1: play on basis you know, and now you don't jump
- 48:26Speaker 1: from the Blazers to do I clean my son on
- 48:28Speaker 1: my taxes? And do I have a steady income? I mean,
- 48:33Speaker 1: like you know, yeah, I gotta I gotta steady income
- 48:36Speaker 1: and I'm claiming my son. What I mean what you're
- 48:39Speaker 1: trying to get at Bro? Well, we'll see, man, what
- 48:41Speaker 1: I was thinking. You know, I just want to read.
- 48:43Speaker 1: You seem like cool dude when I saw you at
- 48:45Speaker 1: the gym. Man, what I was gonna ask you? Bro?
- 48:48Speaker 1: You know see right now, Man, when I get through
- 48:51Speaker 1: with my taxes and stuff, I'm gonna have to owe
- 48:53Speaker 1: about eight hundred dollars. But now I see if I
- 48:56Speaker 1: claim a child is my dependent, man, they're gonna get
- 49:00Speaker 1: me by twenty two hunt. You see what I'm saying
- 49:03Speaker 1: and what I wanted to get at you about, man,
- 49:06Speaker 1: is you know you let me clean as my son,
- 49:10Speaker 1: you know, so I can gonna get this good money. Bro? Bro, Bro,
- 49:14Speaker 1: I mean what all due respect, Bro, you're talking about
- 49:18Speaker 1: you want to clean my son on taxes? Hold on,
- 49:21Speaker 1: but I don't even know you. You're talking about you
- 49:23Speaker 1: seeing me at my son's basketball game. You might be
- 49:26Speaker 1: the police for all I know. Bro, he sounds like
- 49:29Speaker 1: the police. No, no, no, it ain't. It ain't. Ain't
- 49:31Speaker 1: nobody gonna come at your sideways like that. Man. I
- 49:33Speaker 1: ain't ain't trying to come like what I'm trying to say. Man,
- 49:36Speaker 1: they're to hit me off of this eight hunted. Well,
- 49:38Speaker 1: see I can get twenty three hunted. Man. I I
- 49:41Speaker 1: kick you down too, fifty You understand what I'm saying. Man,
- 49:44Speaker 1: they're about the too empty. You're crazy. Now you sound
- 49:49Speaker 1: like joke, bro, because now you're insult to me. You're
- 49:53Speaker 1: telling me you want to claim mom now for some
- 49:57Speaker 1: when you old money. I don't even know you food.
- 49:59Speaker 1: So I come they two fifty, Bro, I ain't trying
- 50:02Speaker 1: to be on a brother. When I claiming my kids,
- 50:04Speaker 1: I'm getting the same exactly like you're getting. I'm getting
- 50:07Speaker 1: twenty three hundreds too. So what of like taking two
- 50:10Speaker 1: hundred dollars from I don't know you know what I'm saying, Okay,
- 50:13Speaker 1: when I'm the one stuck over here paying the eight hundred. Man,
- 50:16Speaker 1: I'm just acting. Ask you to look out for a brother. Man,
- 50:19Speaker 1: you say, yeah, look out. You know my check and
- 50:22Speaker 1: cut from forty hours a week to thirteen hours a week,
- 50:26Speaker 1: and I still got these little backs to me for
- 50:28Speaker 1: Jordan's Michael Jordan. They never put us back. That's why
- 50:30Speaker 1: I'm trying to hook you up with two fifty. Man. Damn,
- 50:33Speaker 1: you don't even see a good thing when it's coming
- 50:35Speaker 1: at you. Bro, Bro, I don't know if you're talking
- 50:38Speaker 1: about bro. No two fifty Bro. When I claim me
- 50:40Speaker 1: two little I'm getting twenty three hundred dollars a piece? Bro,
- 50:43Speaker 1: what you think I'm gonna take two fifty from you? Four?
- 50:46Speaker 1: I don't even know you like that, So I man,
- 50:48Speaker 1: you ain't got it. You ain't got a trip. Man,
- 50:50Speaker 1: Then if you was my bro, you're my people, you know,
- 50:52Speaker 1: maybe we could do a little something. I can understand that.
- 50:55Speaker 1: But Bro, you ain't gonna get me no two fifty
- 50:57Speaker 1: when I'm getting the same thing they offering you twoint
- 50:59Speaker 1: three hundreds this company money. So what is I'm supposed
- 51:02Speaker 1: to do? What am I opposed to do? Devin? Tell
- 51:05Speaker 1: me that? I mean, Bro, what you supposed to do
- 51:07Speaker 1: is go how you see? Clean that little every year
- 51:11Speaker 1: and you will get what I get. Please, look that
- 51:13Speaker 1: I'm seeing in clothing every day. That's what you're gonna
- 51:16Speaker 1: have to do. My hours done got cut from forty
- 51:18Speaker 1: to fifteen hours a week. I had to go pick
- 51:20Speaker 1: me up the little side of n'derstand. But rocking is
- 51:23Speaker 1: in office, Bro, you gotta change your ways. You out
- 51:25Speaker 1: there trying to get me locked up for government scams.
- 51:28Speaker 1: What I'm trying to do, man, is get this eight
- 51:30Speaker 1: hundred off my bad dog. That's all I'm trying ain't
- 51:33Speaker 1: nobody trying to get no trouble. Man, But you're still
- 51:36Speaker 1: talking about getting you eight hunting and getting me locked up.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Now you got me. I'm out and working hard to
- 51:42Speaker 1: support my kids. Man. But I need for the city
- 51:44Speaker 1: and go through that's what you know more, Man, I
- 51:46Speaker 1: ain't for the city and go through this with your normal.
- 51:48Speaker 1: If you're gonna help me with this money or not, Brian,
- 51:51Speaker 1: help you with I see you on Saturday. Bro, I'm
- 51:54Speaker 1: gonna up broom. I need your son so to security
- 51:58Speaker 1: number right now. That's what I need. Bro. Let me
- 52:01Speaker 1: tell you something. BRO said, what do you look like? Bro?
- 52:03Speaker 1: You said you're gonna stop six ft Bro when I
- 52:06Speaker 1: see you, when I step in that gymnasium, Bro, I'm
- 52:10Speaker 1: on your You ain't on that. You ain't on Blazing Lakers. Bro,
- 52:14Speaker 1: you got to bring that damn social security number. I
- 52:17Speaker 1: think it's a game. I'm gonna come find him, okay, Cool.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to say to you.
- 52:22Speaker 1: You're lifting to me on my phone, Bro, I don't
- 52:25Speaker 1: even talking to this fool. I got one more thing
- 52:28Speaker 1: I need to say to you. Man, if you're listening
- 52:29Speaker 1: to make say your last statement, you want on your tombstone. Bro,
- 52:33Speaker 1: this is nephew timing from the Steve Harvey Martin shout.
- 52:38Speaker 1: You just got prank baby, ha ha ha. Who is
- 52:43Speaker 1: this nephew? Tim me? Man? What's up? Devin? What fo
- 52:49Speaker 1: you got me out here? Man? You got hey? Do
- 52:53Speaker 1: you got a boy that you work with? Name? Yeah? Crazy?
- 52:58Speaker 1: Put me up to this man, get working all man,
- 53:07Speaker 1: keep doing what you're doing. We need good daddies in
- 53:09Speaker 1: the world. Brother. And one more thing, man, I gotta
- 53:13Speaker 1: ask you. You gotta tell me man, what is the
- 53:15Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land? Man, Steve Wanting? Yeah,
- 53:22Speaker 1: crazy Man, I'm a beat y'all. Ain't never claim nobody
- 53:26Speaker 1: else child before trying to legal. I'm trying to should
- 53:33Speaker 1: be able to claim. You're trying now, Junior? What yeah? Sure,
- 53:37Speaker 1: I'm trying now. I want to claim God claim one
- 53:41Speaker 1: to Steve. You know if it's a child, come about
- 53:45Speaker 1: your house? Do you think you got some money back? Though?
- 54:08Speaker 1: Some money money back from back from give you change
- 54:16Speaker 1: when you're going to money back in a while. Since
- 54:26Speaker 1: you got money, how about you get back. You can
- 54:28Speaker 1: send me something back. I'm not gonna take it because
- 54:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna think it's a trick, right. I ain't telling
- 54:33Speaker 1: you about time I got some money back. You got
- 54:35Speaker 1: some money back. This was years ago. The only time
- 54:38Speaker 1: I got some money you wrote off that miles of
- 54:40Speaker 1: rotting the whole thing back, didn't. Now we see how
- 54:47Speaker 1: I got it. Coming up at the top of the
- 54:50Speaker 1: hour today, Strawberry Letter. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 54:54Speaker 1: Morning Show. Before we got to the Strawberry Letter, Steve,
- 54:58Speaker 1: I know you have something to say about uncontrol. I
- 55:00Speaker 1: know you feel strongly about this. Here's a question. Why
- 55:03Speaker 1: is it that the n r A is so powerful
- 55:06Speaker 1: and it appears that our politicians are are so weak
- 55:09Speaker 1: on this issue. Well, it's because here's a deal. They
- 55:13Speaker 1: are the largest lobbyists in Washington, d C. They spend
- 55:18Speaker 1: more money on campaigns than does anybody. They're the largest
- 55:22Speaker 1: financial contributing and they contribute to the Republican Party. See,
- 55:28Speaker 1: you can't think that all these Republicans really don't want
- 55:33Speaker 1: to do something about gun laws. You don't think that
- 55:36Speaker 1: all these Republicans really are so heartless that they don't
- 55:41Speaker 1: care what's happening to these kids. You can't possibly think that.
- 55:45Speaker 1: But they do care about it. But let me tell
- 55:49Speaker 1: you what they care about more. They care more about
- 55:53Speaker 1: their position and holding party lines and being elected into office.
- 56:00Speaker 1: So the n r A controls them by saying, if
- 56:03Speaker 1: you don't uphold the Second Ament, that's all the n
- 56:06Speaker 1: r A is about the Second Amendment rights, nothing by nothing.
- 56:12Speaker 1: You don't hear about them until you start talking about
- 56:15Speaker 1: them gun laws. That's the only time you hear about
- 56:17Speaker 1: n r A. So now, if you don't uphold the
- 56:20Speaker 1: Second Amendment and make that, then we're gonna withdraw the funding,
- 56:25Speaker 1: which means, okay, let's say a Republican does speak out
- 56:29Speaker 1: against it, then guess what they're gonna do. Okay, cool,
- 56:32Speaker 1: No more money for you, and we're gonna fund somebody
- 56:35Speaker 1: who will push this and we're gonna dump all the
- 56:37Speaker 1: money behind him next time you run, and chances are
- 56:40Speaker 1: you will be out. So you can't beat the n
- 56:43Speaker 1: r A at all. You can't think you could beat
- 56:48Speaker 1: them if you stop taking their money. So until the
- 56:55Speaker 1: top level Republicans start saying, you know what and I
- 57:00Speaker 1: what we're gonna have to do, we got changing gun loss. Now,
- 57:02Speaker 1: if you don't want to pay some money, that's cool,
- 57:05Speaker 1: but we got changes gun loss because too many innocent
- 57:07Speaker 1: people are dying, and so somebody has a courage to
- 57:11Speaker 1: say that they're not gonna change nothing, and I don't
- 57:14Speaker 1: want to and the rest of them, I don't want
- 57:17Speaker 1: to just talk about it when it happens. Let's talk
- 57:19Speaker 1: about it all during the year, all the time, all
- 57:22Speaker 1: the time until something changes. Thought, some prayers, thought, some prayers.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Surely we have the power to change. And half the
- 57:30Speaker 1: people saying we're sitting it out our thoughts and prayers
- 57:33Speaker 1: ain't pray for no. No. I mean, it's so crazy
- 57:35Speaker 1: to me, man, do you know that you we cannot
- 57:39Speaker 1: imagine what their parents is feeling to lose a child. Yeah.
- 57:45Speaker 1: I talked with a group of mothers in Chicago, man
- 57:47Speaker 1: that had lost sons and daughters to gun violence. I
- 57:51Speaker 1: was just sitting there listening because there's nothing can say.
- 57:54Speaker 1: But that's that's the thing that here here we are,
- 57:56Speaker 1: you know, as old as we are, and when we
- 57:58Speaker 1: went to school just when, never had anything like this ever, never,
- 58:02Speaker 1: It was never in our thoughts. And these kids have
- 58:05Speaker 1: this thought every day at any school that's something like
- 58:09Speaker 1: this could happen. Yeah, they had any They have drills
- 58:12Speaker 1: and practices, practice runs, something like this. Yeah, that's all
- 58:17Speaker 1: we had. All right, Jay and Steve and everybody. We're
- 58:20Speaker 1: gonna continue this conversation of course, all morning, but right
- 58:23Speaker 1: now we need to get into the letter. Come on
- 58:24Speaker 1: that buggle up, hold it for you here it is
- 58:28Speaker 1: just strawberry subject, major dilemma. Good morning, Steve Harvey and crew.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I am writing because I have I am having a
- 58:36Speaker 1: major dilemma. My husband and I have been together for
- 58:38Speaker 1: about eleven years and have two children. We're currently separated
- 58:42Speaker 1: and have been going through some things for the last
- 58:44Speaker 1: few years. We have been on and off again. We
- 58:47Speaker 1: can't seem to get along and there is a lack
- 58:50Speaker 1: of communication. We have been through everything except pregnancies outside
- 58:54Speaker 1: the marriage on both parts. At the present time, we
- 58:57Speaker 1: live in two separate households and have been set rated
- 59:00Speaker 1: since January. We recently talked and know that we love
- 59:03Speaker 1: each other and want to be together. We also know
- 59:06Speaker 1: that we need help getting past some of our issues.
- 59:09Speaker 1: We decided that we want to be back together, but
- 59:12Speaker 1: now the problem is the living arrangement. He currently lives
- 59:15Speaker 1: in the house his grandparents owned. I live in the apartment.
- 59:18Speaker 1: We started a one year lease on in September he
- 59:22Speaker 1: wants to move into the house. I, however, do not.
- 59:27Speaker 1: The reason I refused to is because of the location
- 59:30Speaker 1: of the house. It is not in the greatest part
- 59:32Speaker 1: of the city, and the outbreak of violence in this
- 59:35Speaker 1: area of town is outstanding. I am not too crazy
- 59:38Speaker 1: about the house, and the schools in the area suck,
- 59:40Speaker 1: to say the least. Our children are currently in a
- 59:43Speaker 1: great school district and the environment is not overcome with violence.
- 59:48Speaker 1: He and I have both lived within the city where
- 59:50Speaker 1: the house is and we hated it. That is why
- 59:53Speaker 1: we moved. So now he wants to live in the
- 59:55Speaker 1: house and I refuse to. I would much rather keep
- 59:59Speaker 1: our children in the environment they are in and get
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: a home of our own. He dent, Now he didn't.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Now I don't get that he dent. Now you know,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Uh. This has kept us from getting
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: back together. So what should we do? We have no
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: money to move and put our boys in better schools
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: where the house is located, and the house needs repairs
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: which at this time we cannot afford. So what advice
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: do you have for us? How can we get past
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: this reaching a compromise that suits us both. Mind you,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: we currently have an apartment where there is a lease
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: until August, and it makes no sense, no sense to
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: pay rent into places. Please help us with this, sincerely,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Major dilemma. Dear, Major dilemma. This is a major dilemma because, um,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: in order for this marriage to work, you guys do
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: need to be together. You know. It seems to me
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: your husband would want to move in the better part
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: of the city where you and the kids would be safe, happy,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: and the kids well educated. He doesn't even own the
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: home where he lives is the apartment, while you guys
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: don't own. You know, you don't own that either. Um,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you at least wouldn't be living under your grandpa your
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: grandparents rule, and you won't lose your deposit, okay, which
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: money is kind of tight right now, so you seem
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to be really concerned about that. You don't give us
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: any information as to why he's so adamant about living
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: there though, because the rent isn't even free. So, UM,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I don't really think he wants to get back together
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: right now because he's not doing what it takes and
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: that means, you know, making you happy, moving into a safe,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: secure home or apartment of your own. Uh, you know
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: the saying happy wife, happy life. UM. In order for
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: you guys to um compromise or to come to uh
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: a compromise, you have to meet each other halfway. You
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: guys aren't doing that. You're you're at an impass. You
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: refuse to move, he's refusing to move. So until you, guys,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: you know, give on that. And I think it should
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: be the husband at this point, just giving your letter.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: You know, it's safer and and the kids have to
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: go to a good school. I think he should move
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: into your apartment. Steve, how much time I got? Oh,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: you don't have a lot of time right now. You
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: can as want to come back. I see something totally different.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: I see something totally different. I agree with what you said, though, Sherley,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I really do. But I see some more stuff in
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: this letter that's going on. I'm gonna point out some
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: couple of things that I saw when you was reading it.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: And Uh, okay, hey, listen the letter. If you want
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to comment on the letter, it's posted, go to Steve
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Harvey dot com, click on the Strawberry Letter. You can
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: also email us your Strawberry Letter issues on the website.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: We'll be back with Steve's answer right after this twelve
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: after you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: get ready in about twenty minutes. Now, twenty minutes, the
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: chapman are back. The Chapman's are back. They've been a
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: like for a minute, but they are back with what
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: bad acting theater? Yes, contract right there, negotiated, none of
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: that always there, but right now, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: get part two of your response to today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Major Dilemma. Good morning, Steve Harving crew. I'm right because
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I have a major dilemma. My husband I've been together
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: for eleven years and have two children. We are currently
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: separated and been going through some things for the last
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: three years. We've been on again, off again. We can't
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: seem to get along and there's a lack of communication.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: We've been through everything except pregnancies outside the marriage on
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: both parts. At the present time, we live in two
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: separate households and have been separated since January. We recently
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: talked to know that we love each other and want
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: to be together. We also know we need help getting
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: past some of our issues. We decided that we want
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: to be back together, but now the problem is a
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: living range and he currently lives in the house his
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: grandparents owned. I live in the apartment. We started a
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: one year lease on in September. He wants to move
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: into the house. I, however, do not. The reason I
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: refused to is because of the location of the house
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: is not in the greatest part of the city, and
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: now break of violence in this area of town is outstanding.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I am not too crazy about the house, and the
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: school is in the area, and the schools in the
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: area sucked to say the least. Our children are currently
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: in a grade school district, and the environment is not
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: overcome with violence. He and I both live within the
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: city where the house is, and we hated it and
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: that's why we moved. So now he wants to live
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: in the house and I refused to. I would much
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: rather keep our children in the environment there in and
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: get a home of our own. I don't know what
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: it means when he says he's dent. Now this has
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: kept us from getting back together, So what should we do?
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: We have no money to move and to put our
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: boys in better schools where the house is located. House
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: needs repairs which at this time we cannot afford. So
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: what advice do you have for us? How can we
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: get past this reaching a compromise that suits us both.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Mind you, we currently have an apartment where the least
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: is until August, and it makes no sense to pay
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: rent in to places. Please help us with this, sincerely,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: may ajor dilemma. First of all, you have the major
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: dilemma placed in the wrong area. Your major dilemma, you claim,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: is you don't want to pay rent in two places.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: He refuses to move into the apartment, you refuse to
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: move into the house. That's not your major dilemma. Your
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: major dilemma is the very reason that y'all ain't together
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: in the first place. Y'all two don't get along, and
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you two have a lack of communication, and you're demonstrating
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: the same thing that you say broke you up. You
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: can't seem to get along and there's a lack of communication.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: This again, is another example of you all's lack of communication.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: It is a lack of understanding and is the unwillingness
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: on either one of your part to compromise. Now, Shirley's right,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: it seems like the smart move would be for the
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: guy to move into the apartment so the kids could
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: keep going to the to the best school system, but
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: he willing to do that, and then you ain't willing
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: to move. You all have a a major dilemma, and
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: you all still have a communication problem. Now you're saying
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: the letter that we've gone through everything except pregnancies outside
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: the marriage parentheses on both parts. This means that both
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: of y'all have cheated. That's what that means. On both parts.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: That means both of y'all been cheated. That's the code
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: that I see in that, because I've never heard that before.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: We've been through everything except pregnancies outside the marriage parentheses
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: on both parts. All that says to me is both
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: of y'all cheated, both of y'all being guilty is pretty
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: much the same thing. Now, what you all need to
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: work on really is your basic selves and your marriage skills,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: because right now y'all don't seem to have none. You
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: want what you want and he won't what he won't,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: and I ain't neither one of y'all willing to give in.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Now you wrote this letter in and you're lotter really
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: ain't for a compromise. Your letter is really how do
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: you convince this man to move back into this department,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: because nothing you said about moving into the grandmama's house
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: is gonna work for you. But you are convinced that
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: staying in the one year least department will work for
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: you and the kids. That seems in the letter like
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Larry surely said that this would be the best thing
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: to do. But guess what, he ain't trying to hear that,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: and you ain't trying to move. Thus you have a
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: lack of communication. And now what is y'all's marriage gonna
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: be built on when you get back together? What y'all
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: gonna do? See, y'all need to work on that part
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: of it right now. Y'all can't even agree when you
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: separate it, and you can't agree when you marry. So
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: now when you're gonna get back together and do what?
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Disagree some more? See, your major dilemma ain't where you're
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: gonna live. Your major dilemma is really how you all
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: can live together. That's your major dilemma. How you all,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: how your man don't see these kids needs, How you
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: don't see your man's needs. How both of y'all don't
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: see anybody's needs. And this is a ridiculous statement that
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: you're making to me, both of yours, you know, and
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: you know, So what advice do you have for us?
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Get yourselves together? Why do y'all even want to be together?
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: That's nothing. There's nothing in this letter that says YouTube
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: people should be together. Nothing you wrote nothing in here.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: All you said was this one line in that is
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: that we love each other and we want to be together. Okay,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: you can't. I can't. I swear to you. I can't tell.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: And so when I I read a letter like this, man,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I just go, Wow, you've only been your eleven years.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Y'all went through so much stuff. Now you can't afford
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to move. You ain't got the money for repairs, You
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: ain't got the money for two rents. Yeah, and she
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: refuses too, and so does he to move. So what
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: you want meet and Sureley to say, we don't know
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: how to get you all together? Because this is crazy?
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: All right, Steve, we gotta go. You can email us
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter at

- 1:09:37Speaker 1: them right now. We need to continue this conversation. And

- 1:12:54Speaker 1: got five hundred thousand from Netflix that Monique didn't won't,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: so you know, they gave it to me my own
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: TVs right across the street from my dad to Pop Ranbysiness. Yes,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Earl is really happy that Chester is branching out on
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: his own. I am having at Chester branching out on
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: his own and is going to open the CVS right

- 1:13:21Speaker 1: He'll be able to walk right across the street and
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: get his medicine. I'll be able to walk right across
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: the street and get my medicine. And I'll repeat everything
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: that Shirley says, and I repeat anything. Wait a minute,

- 1:14:26Speaker 1: stealing the Chapman pork Ryan recipe, and the theft of
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Earl Chapman's white coat and hat. Don't remember Now he's
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: in prison and is delivering a serious beat down to
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: someone who's trying to steal his corn bread. Man, don't
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: you ever put your hands oh my corn bread again? Okay?
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: And anybody else think about taking my corn read? Get

- 1:17:02Speaker 1: We are so excited about the movie Black Panther. Opening Uh.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Steve talked to one of the stars, Forest Whittaker, on
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: his daytime talk show about his role in the movie
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Black Panther. Take a listen, please welcome. I'd of had
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: my man tess quite a hard man. Let's get into this.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: It's Marvel's fastest selling movie in a twenty four hour period,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Black Panther. Everyone, So for you, for us, what what's
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: it like going from Star Wars to Marvel Comics. Both
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: of them are really big universities and everything. I got
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: to experience it in the way I never seen before.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: This movie, for us, is coming at a time when
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: people are finally waking up to the fact that diversity sales.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: But just seeing what I've seen of it with so
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: many African American actors and the lead superhero being black,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: I mean, man, oh, my kids have tickets already, Yeah,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: all of them. I mean I've never seen anything like it. Man.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: The excitement and what's making it really cool is it
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: is so appealing to all cultures. Everybody. This is everybody
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: is looking for this movie. I don't care what color
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: you are. I think you're like your kids. It's they
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: get just they're gonna look at something that is empowering.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Images of people and stuff that make them feel proud
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: of where they come from, what they heartages who they are.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: It's something that you you haven't seen. And ultimately as saying,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: we're one tribe. And I think the message is we
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: have to be responsible for each other. If you're doing
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: well and you can help someone else lift them up.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: And that's a good part of the movie. Yeah, in
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: this movie. Man, they got some badass fight scenes in
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: this movie. Man, I mean they in him man paying
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: up some stuff. He is, uh, the best fighter in
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: the nation, you know, besides the Black Panther. So she
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: is like over the military. She protects the royal family.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: She's powerful. Her and her team, the Dormalange are protecting
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the king and protecting the nation. It's really it's beautiful. Hey, man,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: did you go to Comic Con this year, the first
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: time I went to comic conferention wear disguise because a
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: lot of celebrities go to comic Con, they wear disguises.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I did it, you know, the Peter she put on
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: the costume totally sealed and she went out amongst everybody,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: was like dancing with people and going crazy. Nobody knew
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: she was. She was just out there like saying, hey,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: come on, let's do this. And now she's she's amazing,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: you know it was Force was on the show man.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I really enjoyed seeing Force. I hadn't seen him in
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: a long time. Just such a good brother man, just
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: a really really good dude man and incredibly talented. You
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: know what I really told him, Know, I told him
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: how much I was impressed with it. And I ain't
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: cause I ain't setting seen Black Panther. I'm pretty sure
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: he was the usual self. But you ever seen King
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: of Scotland by man? God, that boy was acting. He
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: can act. We for this Whitaker, He's a legend, can
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: mean scary. Yeah. Yeah, Hey, Tommy, who's your favorite actor
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: of all time? Mm hmmm. It's a toss up, toss
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: up between themselves and themselves, because this was a serious question.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: You're not gonna even believe. You will not believe it. Okay,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Well who Donald Southerly? Donald Key for Sutherland's father, he
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: believe it? I just I just I think he don't
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: get his his just do He's just the truth. I
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: don't even like him because I don't know who. To
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: hear you talking about what movies you like? I'll tell
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: you Italian Time to Kill, a Time to Kill bank Job?
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: That was Samuel Man whatnot? That was Samuel Leo Jackson. No,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: he was in there. He was Time to Kill. He
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: was also an Italian bank job bad boy. I like,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: was he in um six Degrees of Separation? And who else? Yes?
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, said Junior just showed me pitch.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: I like him. I didn't know that. And who else?
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Who's your other favorite? Well? Of course Denzel. I mean
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: it's just because your first right, but you might know
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: what he do you question? Of course? I mean everybody going,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: But that's his right though to like who Jay? Who's
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: your favorite actor? On me? And drum Land? You love
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: drawing cinema? Yeah? I forgot to think like a man

- 1:21:45Speaker 1: To Carlin, who's your favorite actor? You know? Den'tzeil didn't
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: Washington Junior? Who's your favorite actor? Tommy and Papa Tommy
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: and what? I never wanted to pay. That's my right.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: That's my right. That had this many as with the threats.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I have never worked this many. I mean, I have
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: never wond but is that not my right? Every twenty minutes?
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: But it's not my right. That's who you like, that's
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: who I like you sip, that's my favorite actor. I
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: love him. Why he did? Nobody will ever say that
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: performs again. But it was the greatest point I had
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: ever seen that nobody's all. That's my right. Toss up.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: This is a toss up between three people. Three people.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: It's a toss up. It's Denzel, Sam Jackson yes, and
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Mayo Gibson. Yes. I love man. That's my dude. And
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: did tied also in there al Pacino, Yeah, I love
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: them boys right there. It's all some acts. But I
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: love Sam because of his diversity. Yeah, Sam, do anything, man,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: do it right, and have a different hairstyle in every movie,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: every movie. But don't none of them compare to Tommy
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: and Operate ain't even close. Tommy in Poperated money Man.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I cried at the stop trying the best piece of
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: acting I saw when Tommy acted like he was fast,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: when he he had me believe it that his act
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: was fast. Y'all had been. Y'all walked away. He had
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: a bowler or something. It was so crazy. We'll be back.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, NBA All
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Star this weekend in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

- 1:24:20Speaker 1: of friends coming in town. I know about it. Yeah,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: people just pop up. People hate popping up. I ain't
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: gonna see nobody but the palms. That's it. That's all. Yeah,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: everybody else gone, just keep going being in town and
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: let me trying to swing by and all that kind
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: of hate. Steve, you got tickets to the Dunk Contest? No? No,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I don't know. And if I had them, you can
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: be at the Dunk No I would I got all that?
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Why because we live here. They think we got tickets
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: to everything here on the radio. Yeah, because on the radio. Yeah,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I got tickets. I'm just not going it's not probably
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: got tickets. You got tickets, but I'm not going. I
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: don't like crowds. Man. The crowd for me is, hey,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: I can't take it. I don't know how you take
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: it self is and everything. Dude with his cheek up
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: against my cheek. I'm gonna take it. Damnselfs and get
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: off me. Tommy, are you going too much? It's a
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: little over one. I like watching it on TV, though,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: you know, I like I like. Are you guys excited
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: about the slam dunk contest? I like slam dunk contests? Well,
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: now that they've changed it, yeah, you know you got
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: one dunk. Man. It used to be there for three
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: folk chances. No, I hate it that be could you
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: lose you know, you lose enthusiasms for the dunker if
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: they missed two times. Because now when you make it, yeah,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: you had five chances. Okay, so now let me do
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: something five times. I probably get it. You can get it.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: Throw it off the front of the rim like you've
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: been doing. I get the same score. But the big
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: crowds down that when they have them. George Wallace, the
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Mama pick up whoever can pick up. That's where the
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: crowd's being man, there's a lot of people show for that, Jake.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Anybody did it yet have been done? And so the game.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: So we got the East Lebron and the crew in
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: the East the West. Yeah, the All Star Game should
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: not have a skull of one fifty one ft three?
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: You know, you think, ain't nobody plays, ain't no defense,
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: hurt the self trying to stop you come down wrong
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: and all like that. They ain't playing their hardest, you know.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: But I mean it's money, make money for the city. Okay,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: I'd like to see Broun Brown in the dunk context.
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: That would be did you just call the jam Lebron
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: James Brown? Did you just need to name him? State
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: Farm commercial? They call the fact you call any man
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: the same name twice? J J J J all time
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: favorite basketball player? Man? Who who is? I don't know that?
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: Young boys? Where boy from Philly? Could he a cold boy?
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: Ben Simmons? They got that boy in Boston Green? Oh
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: you got he used to play with the Clippers. What
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: about him? Um Leandre Jordan? He can't win that no, no, no,
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: not no more. Hent got a little once you thirty? Yeah,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: that's over at him, young boys. I like that, Yo, dude.
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: That greatest dunk I ever seen was that dude that
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: had that mascot holding that ball and jumped through the air,
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: sitting down and got that ball and dunk it. I said, Okay, cool,
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: that boy was up in the air. Hi, that won't
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: You're right, all right, we'll be back at thirty three
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: after the hour. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: it is here the long anticipated movie Black Panther Open Day.
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: Anybody seen it? Has anyone seen it? People who talked,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: We've seen it. They say it's great, It's excellent, one
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: of the best movies. It's gonna change the dynamics and
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: how we look at superhero movies, especially the kids. J
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: and that That's what I looked so forward to. The
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: kids finally have a superhero they that looks like them,
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: you know, that looks like Yeah, that looks like Can
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: I just say this, we have forgotten one of the
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: black superheroes from way back in the day, the Black
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: pot Range. Really we forgot about him. What this wasn't
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: George Wallace, Steve I got him starting a new movie
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: right after the Black Panther airs. It's called The Fat
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: black panther. No branches safe, fat Black, no branches safe.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: She up in the branches. That that branch. That's that
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: black panther. Stop it alright. So, after the death of
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: his father to Challa returns home to the isolated, technologically
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: his rightful places king. I'm assuming that's the that's the
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: character that Chadwick Boseman is playing to Challa. Okay, so
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: who's in it? Chadwick Osman? What a talented, talented, talented
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: young man. Lepitte and the youngo Her. Yes, she's beautiful
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: and talented. Yeah. Michael B. Jordan's plays a bad guy.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: He's from Creed. Remember from Creed. He plays the Angela Bassett.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: We all know and love her of course. Uh, Martin Freeman,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: Forest Whittaker is in its. Joj Anthony Brown, Tom not
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: Tommy the moment of what Steve, will you keep going? Please?
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: I'm not them too right now? Tom's an actor. He
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: didn't he just didn't Black parents, Tommy and black Panther. Yeah,
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: well you ain't gonna He's gonna have suo. Okay, we
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: have to let people know that are going to the
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: movie first ahead that it's a great black everybody's gonna
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: go see. And I just want to warnch some of
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: my how do I say this, my wife friends, it's
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: gonna be all black people in the theater. Now, if
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: you've never been to a theater, whether it's all black people,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: it's a whole different movie experience, if you've never experienced,
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: it's not the same the same. What do we we were?
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: Not only are we in the movie, we in the
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: movie into the movie. We're in the movie. We kind
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: of Steve, we're in this movie or what we're up there?
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: It's like us up there on the screen. We actually
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: is from Kolana respond to the black panther because when
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: he says something, he's speaking to us. YEA, yeah, what
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: what wait? We're in there. And let me tell you
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: some white people that little turnaround look that you like
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: to do this weekend, not for this movie. And here
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: the other part my uncle actually going to he think
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: it's a black panther rally, My sister, they they in there.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: Don't talk to your brother with the turtle deck and
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: the little jacket. We'll be back with Steve's closing remarks
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: coming up at forty nine after the hour you're listening to.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: All right, here we are, Steve. We've come to the
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: end of our show. So here we go with just
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: one more thing, and you're closing remarks. All right, Uh,
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: you know, look my clothes remarks to day in light
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: of all that's going on in the world of day,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: the tragedy that struck the school down in Florida. Um,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: you know, we keep talking about hearts and prayers go
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: out to the family, and we send our condolences, and
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: then we still do nothing about what allows and causes
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: these problems. I mean, at one point in time, man,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: what's gonna have to happen in this country is we're
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: gonna have to place human life over money. We're gonna
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: have to place the value of human life over our
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: statue and position in life, especially when it comes to politics.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: It's period. I just refused to believe that because you're
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: a member of the Republican Party that you don't care
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: because they have some very very caring Republican people. It's
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: just is all Republican people don't want to not do
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: something about gun laws. I just don't believe that. I
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: think that's absurd to even say that about one whole
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: group of people, not a group of people that I
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: can say it about. It's the Republican lawmakers who are
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: in office. And the reason they can't say anything is
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: because the n r A contributes so much money to
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: the Republican Committee, the Republican Party. They're the largest lobbyists
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: in Washington, d C. They don't have more money. The
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Republican Party stands on the Second Amendment. I got that.
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: I don't have a problem with you standing on this
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: Second Amendment. But let's talk about this constitution that we
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: have these soldiers and people fighting and dying for, and
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: what we give about freedoms and put our lives on
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: allowing to to to defend and protect. Is this not
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: the same constitution who used to say that women didn't
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: have the right to vote. Isn't this the same constitution
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: that said the Negro was three fifths of a human being?
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Ain't just the same constitution? Have we not had to
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: amend this constitution over the years. Haven't we had to
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: say till our forefathers the forefather Let me rephrase that,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: have we not had to say to the forefathers of
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: this country? Hey, what you were thinking back in the
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: early hundreds. That don't work today no more, because it's
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: a new time. Women do have the right to vote,
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: and black people ain't three fields of human being. Okay,
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: so we made the changes this second Amendment. It's time
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: to change because this ain't the early hundreds no more.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: This two thousand eighteen. And kids can't go to school anymore. See,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: this is what has happened. No One used to walk
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: into a school and kill the kids in there, Well,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: it happens now. Nobody went to the movie theater and
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: had to die in large numbers, But that happens now.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: People used to could go to church and people didn't
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: walk in and kill everybody in the church. People used
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: to could go out at night and enjoy themselves and
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: go home. Well, now you go out to a club,
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: all of you can be killed. People used to be
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: able to go to picnics and parties and festivals outside
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: and return home safe and sound. Woodstock was one of
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: the biggest events of all time. Nobody that got shot
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: out there. We'll see these times have changed, because now
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: you go to a music festival, you got an idiot
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: in the window with a high powered rifle killing people.
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: Now you go to church. You got this little nothing
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: human being walking and kill people. Columbine. You had a
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: little red head walking over into Colorado and kill and
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: be watching movie. How many times we gotta see Sandy
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: Hook in the school in Florida, Columbine before we put
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: a stop to all of this at one point in time. Man.
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: And here's what's crazy, people, here's the crazy part about it.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: We are powerless, almost seemingly to stop this, but we
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: could stop it if we understood something that if you
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: don't fight for gun laws to be changed in this country,
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: you will not be in office again. And I don't
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: care how much the Rightful Association put behind you, because
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: we're not voting for you. That would change it right there.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: The vote could change it. But guess what. They don't
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: run on that. See, they run on something like this.
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: We got to protect our constitutional rights of the Second Amendment,
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: that we as an Americans have the right to protect
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: our homes and use guns to protect our families. All
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: that sounds good and right. I'm cool with all that,
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: but that ain't what we need the gun laws for.
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: What we need the gun laws for all these gun
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: shows that sells guns to anybody that you can go
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: to Indiana across the bridge from Chicago with just a
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: driver's licensed by any kind of gun you want to.
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: This is America. Then they drive these guns right back
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: over the bridge to Chicago and these kids up there
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: killing each other with them. What's wrong with this? Why
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: are we so free of a country that were so
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: consumed with freedom that we freely allow people to hurt
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: one another in this country? Who's sitting there doing stuff
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: that ain't causing harm to nobody. See, we can't be
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: so free that we freely allow you to hurt who
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: you want to and then we put you in our
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: judicial system. This is craziness. Man. We have got to
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: get together somehow. I don't exactly know how. I don't
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: really have the answer, but somebody got away where we
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: can organize and stop electing these people Republican or Democrats,
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: who are not going to get in there to help
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: make this country safe so our children can go to school, church, movies, parks,
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: and music events. Until that happens, man, we're sitting here
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: putting the same people in office who take the same
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: money from these people and are told if you vote
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: against the Second Amendment, we won't put no money behind
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: you have a great weekend. Care about you. Keep God
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: in your life because He can get you through all.
