- 1:28Speaker 1: Hi this for Sean McDonald And you're listening to money
- 1:31Speaker 1: making Conversations. The great thing about money making conversation. I
- 1:34Speaker 1: have a lot of foam interviews and today I have
- 1:36Speaker 1: a live inch studio. She's in studio right now. Every
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm seriousing about our relationship. Every week I post a
- 1:43Speaker 1: banner about who the talent that is appearing on money
- 1:45Speaker 1: Making Conversations. My Next Gifts wrote this about me in
- 1:48Speaker 1: the comets section on one of those posts on my
- 1:51Speaker 1: LinkedIn account. She said, you're worthy to be uplifted. The
- 1:55Speaker 1: work that you're that you're doing is amazing. Your words
- 1:58Speaker 1: of encouragement kept me on my journey. I have an
- 2:01Speaker 1: investor for the Feeling Friends app Wake Forest Medicine Work
- 2:05Speaker 1: Forest Medicine as my research partner to have creating an
- 2:07Speaker 1: educational kit that gives educators the tools to teach socially
- 2:11Speaker 1: emotional learning to preschool. Your encouragement and uplift kept me
- 2:16Speaker 1: going years ago when I was ready to give up. Yes, indeed,
- 2:20Speaker 1: Jesus Studio right now. Yeah, I was working the money
- 2:22Speaker 1: making conversation Karen for thrall. Yea, thank you, thank you,
- 2:27Speaker 1: thank you. Those words mean the world to me, and
- 2:29Speaker 1: I mean the world to me because I've been on
- 2:30Speaker 1: this journey a long time. I've been on the journey
- 2:32Speaker 1: very long time. And I was laying in my bed
- 2:35Speaker 1: one day and the Holy Spears said, um, contact Steve
- 2:39Speaker 1: Harvey's business management. I said, okay, and I did, and
- 2:42Speaker 1: I contacted you, and you were on your journey, start
- 2:44Speaker 1: your new journey of the time. And I started google.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You know how we google, folks, And I started googling you,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and I ran into a video that says, you gotta
- 2:50Speaker 1: push your brand. You gotta push your brand, man, And
- 2:54Speaker 1: those words right there got me out of bed and
- 2:57Speaker 1: started me pushing the feeling friends brain end once again,
- 3:00Speaker 1: because you get tired when you get so many rejections
- 3:03Speaker 1: and people saying no, when you just keep going. And
- 3:06Speaker 1: that night I was tired. But that night I looked
- 3:08Speaker 1: at that video and you said, you gotta push your brand.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You gotta push your brand. Man, I got up and
- 3:14Speaker 1: started pushing my brand. And years later, right now, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: got an investor. We're doing the things that I'm supposed
- 3:20Speaker 1: to be doing on my assignment. And this is awesome
- 3:23Speaker 1: to really meet you at this time. So you know,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I'm excited, So we're gonna have a good time. Good
- 3:27Speaker 1: let's talk about our relationship. I started because you started
- 3:30Speaker 1: with me when I was doing money making conversation on
- 3:32Speaker 1: my Facebook page, correct, And it was something I was
- 3:34Speaker 1: doing once and we just start and I was just
- 3:36Speaker 1: like I would answer. It was funny because you know
- 3:39Speaker 1: on my Facebook page it was like she respond I
- 3:42Speaker 1: respond back, so like they knew it was me communicating
- 3:45Speaker 1: because they asked a question. I respond back to their questions.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And so this is more what we're doing today. It's
- 3:50Speaker 1: a more advanced version of what I was doing back
- 3:52Speaker 1: on my Facebook page because now I can talk and
- 3:55Speaker 1: interact and and also I feel I'm providing a bigger service.
- 3:59Speaker 1: So tell every about exactly what what you do and
- 4:02Speaker 1: what is your company all about? Your brand? My brand?
- 4:06Speaker 1: My brand is the Feeling Friends, and the Feeling Friends
- 4:09Speaker 1: is a set of characters twelve characters at this time,
- 4:13Speaker 1: that gives children the vocabulary to talk about their feelings.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Social emotion learning is really huge now, very very huge.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I started this journey twenty four years ago when social
- 4:23Speaker 1: emotional learning no one knew anything about. And in this
- 4:26Speaker 1: journey it felt like to me a job journey where
- 4:28Speaker 1: you're stripped of everything, but you stay on the journey.
- 4:30Speaker 1: But my daughter told me it was more of a
- 4:32Speaker 1: Noah journey because I was building an arc that and
- 4:36Speaker 1: when no abuilders aren't no one even knew of Rain,
- 4:38Speaker 1: I was building this arc and that people eventually won't
- 4:40Speaker 1: come on board. And right now, I built this arc
- 4:42Speaker 1: with these characters, and yes, people did call me crazy
- 4:45Speaker 1: because I gave up everything to continue to build this art.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So the Feeling Friends are these wonderful characters that give
- 4:51Speaker 1: children the vocabulary to talk about their feelings. When my
- 4:54Speaker 1: daughter was um six years diagnosed with depression, and there
- 4:58Speaker 1: were no six years six years old out there were
- 5:00Speaker 1: no tools on the market to help her in. The
- 5:02Speaker 1: psychologist said, you gotta get her talk about her feelings,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and so I went out there to try to buy
- 5:07Speaker 1: something that was nothing there. And so what I realized
- 5:10Speaker 1: I had taught her all the words that a preschooler
- 5:12Speaker 1: should know in a kindergarten should know, but there were
- 5:14Speaker 1: no feelings words on there. So I knew she liked music.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I knew she liked dance. I knew she liked songs.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So I created these characters that gave her a way
- 5:22Speaker 1: of talking to me about her feelings, like a lot
- 5:24Speaker 1: of Love, the lover u Billy, the Billy bully Goat, Patty,
- 5:28Speaker 1: the happy hippo, Wesley the lonely well Slumpy, the sad Elephant.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So when she would come to me and she says,
- 5:34Speaker 1: I'm feeling like Wesley, I knew she was lonely, and
- 5:37Speaker 1: so it gave her the vocabulary. So it's almost like
- 5:40Speaker 1: the first time I went to France, I couldn't speak
- 5:42Speaker 1: the language is very difficult. So I gave my daughter
- 5:45Speaker 1: the language to speak to me, to tell me about
- 5:46Speaker 1: her feelings. Let's let's talk about this. Six years old.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Six years old and your daughters diagnosed depression. Yes, okay,
- 5:54Speaker 1: because that feels like an adult. Yes, the world, And
- 5:57Speaker 1: so I want to want to stow people down because
- 5:59Speaker 1: we tend to categorize different layers. You know, people only
- 6:03Speaker 1: a certain type. People commit suicide on a certain type,
- 6:05Speaker 1: people do drugs on certain people have an anxiety attack.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It's six years old, six years old the day with
- 6:11Speaker 1: social media being what it is, information being processed so
- 6:14Speaker 1: quickly by young people, that's even a bigger, bigger leap
- 6:18Speaker 1: for young people to start emotionally starting to deal with
- 6:21Speaker 1: all these issues. It is, it is, And if you
- 6:23Speaker 1: don't have the right tools to deal with those issues, Um,
- 6:26Speaker 1: we were very fortunate. Her godmother, Kathy Jane phil y'all,
- 6:29Speaker 1: was a school psychologist, and we saw it the first year.
- 6:32Speaker 1: We really did see it the first year. My daughter
- 6:33Speaker 1: didn't smile her entire first year. Well, you're in denial. Um,
- 6:37Speaker 1: I just didn't want to deal with it, you know,
- 6:39Speaker 1: you hope something else is gonna come along, And UM,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I have to really look back at me. I was
- 6:44Speaker 1: depressed when I was pregnant. So when they say things,
- 6:47Speaker 1: you sing songs to your children and you know, because
- 6:49Speaker 1: what is going to happen, is gonna happen. That's the truth.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I believe that. So I believe that the depression started
- 6:53Speaker 1: with me and I transferred it to my daughter. But
- 6:56Speaker 1: at six, Kathy Jane said we've got to do something,
- 6:59Speaker 1: that we've got to do something now. But as I said,
- 7:02Speaker 1: there were no tools to help her and going when
- 7:04Speaker 1: she went to psych psychilogrists, psychologists, and the breakthrough was
- 7:08Speaker 1: the Feeling Friends because she says now, the Feeling Friends
- 7:11Speaker 1: were the light to her emotional darkness. Because how did
- 7:14Speaker 1: you introduce your product to to to to parents, or
- 7:18Speaker 1: to school systems, to daycare and senters? How many bows
- 7:21Speaker 1: that introduction? Mate? We just can Before we just have
- 7:24Speaker 1: the animals, the big stuffed animals, and children love those.
- 7:27Speaker 1: But now we're gonna have this wonderful kit and then
- 7:30Speaker 1: this kid will have the teachers God. And we wrote
- 7:32Speaker 1: the teacher's God. I ask my educational pre k guru, Michelle,
- 7:37Speaker 1: let's write this Feeling Friends for dummies, because we wanted
- 7:41Speaker 1: to make it so that parents could get the same.
- 7:43Speaker 1: By someone like me who had a child that was
- 7:46Speaker 1: suffering from an anxiety depression, or just want to teach
- 7:49Speaker 1: her children about feelings, it wouldn't be so engrossed in
- 7:52Speaker 1: educational stuff that they will be able to do it too.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So we have this teacher's God, and we have these puppets,
- 7:58Speaker 1: and we have the coolest music that you've ever heard
- 8:00Speaker 1: in your entire life. It is just so, and the
- 8:02Speaker 1: music reinforces the characters and so the characters we have posters.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Is everything in there to give a teacher or a
- 8:09Speaker 1: parent what they need to start the discussions about let's talk.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Let's back up a little bit. Well, do you know
- 8:15Speaker 1: when you made a statement that people thought you were crazy?
- 8:17Speaker 1: I talk walking abround with the little dolls, and people
- 8:20Speaker 1: talk about I thought I was crazy when I left
- 8:22Speaker 1: IBM to tell jokes. Okay, you're gonna tell jokes, huh?
- 8:26Speaker 1: And I couldn't tell him. I couldn't tell him where
- 8:28Speaker 1: I was gonna tell jokes, like how technical and how
- 8:30Speaker 1: I was gonna make money. I just knew this is
- 8:31Speaker 1: what I wanted to do. So here you are, because
- 8:34Speaker 1: that's that's a small it's it's your core group believing you.
- 8:38Speaker 1: They love you. They really don't understand that, understand they
- 8:41Speaker 1: don't understand this. And I want people to hear how
- 8:44Speaker 1: were you able to go past that ago? You know,
- 8:46Speaker 1: because really it's on you, it is, and sometimes even
- 8:49Speaker 1: on you, there's doubt. Because they were doubt on me.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Even though I left IBM, even though I knew this
- 8:54Speaker 1: is what I wanted to do, that was still ten
- 8:56Speaker 1: percent of me going, I hope this is the right decision.
- 9:00Speaker 1: How did you get past that? From your standpoint? My standpoint,
- 9:04Speaker 1: I got past it because, um all the stories. I
- 9:07Speaker 1: was sitting down one night and I said, Lord, if
- 9:08Speaker 1: you want me to do this, and I need to
- 9:10Speaker 1: write some stories. And I started nine o'clock that night,
- 9:14Speaker 1: and at nine o'clock the next morning I had written
- 9:16Speaker 1: ten children's stories, and so I knew that could not
- 9:20Speaker 1: be me, and they were great. I sent him to
- 9:22Speaker 1: my door to read. At the age she said, Mom,
- 9:24Speaker 1: who wrote these? I said I did, And she said
- 9:26Speaker 1: when did you write him? I said last night? She
- 9:27Speaker 1: said no, when did you write him? I said, oh,
- 9:29Speaker 1: last night. And she couldn't believe it. She said, these
- 9:32Speaker 1: are really, really great stories with children. I knew I
- 9:35Speaker 1: was on a god assignment at that point, and so
- 9:37Speaker 1: I could not give up on a god assignment. I
- 9:40Speaker 1: just could not. I could not. So no, matter how
- 9:42Speaker 1: bad it God, I just could not give him because
- 9:44Speaker 1: I knew I was in my purpose. I knew I
- 9:46Speaker 1: saw the way children reacted to me. If you got
- 9:49Speaker 1: me with a group of children, I'm like the Mary
- 9:50Speaker 1: Poppins of children. Children just loved me. Yeah, I was
- 9:55Speaker 1: some feeling of friends, I got some deal. But children
- 9:59Speaker 1: apps reutely adore me. It's like a magical spirit. And
- 10:02Speaker 1: I think it's and came into my booth. You know,
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna using fire you and that's a beautiful came
- 10:14Speaker 1: in with your two stuff animals here. And so with
- 10:17Speaker 1: that being said, you're winning. You're winning, and then you
- 10:20Speaker 1: gotta keep winning. So the thing that always when I
- 10:23Speaker 1: when I started my making conversation, that's why I read
- 10:25Speaker 1: that quote, because those quotes keep me going, because it's
- 10:30Speaker 1: just a vision, it's just a dream. It's just what
- 10:33Speaker 1: I'm doing affecting change, you know what I'm saying. And
- 10:37Speaker 1: and so when I had to say that, because it did.
- 10:39Speaker 1: When I read it, I couldn't believe it because the
- 10:42Speaker 1: fact that I'm not in it for for self gratification.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I'm in it because of the fact that God has
- 10:48Speaker 1: given me a unique life, a unique talent to be
- 10:51Speaker 1: able to communicate. And I've chosen this path to communicate
- 10:55Speaker 1: and it's for free, and uh, you know, and when
- 10:57Speaker 1: people listen to me, I just try to be consistent
- 11:00Speaker 1: with them. That's my whole thing is that I want
- 11:03Speaker 1: people to understand that Roshan McDonald's not going to change now.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And you can, you can try to you can try
- 11:08Speaker 1: to do it a little bit different from me, but
- 11:09Speaker 1: you're gonna let you come back over to me because
- 11:11Speaker 1: you gotta get up out of bed. You gotta you
- 11:14Speaker 1: can't be married to that bed. And you gotta realized
- 11:16Speaker 1: there are twenty four hours in that day. You have
- 11:18Speaker 1: to learn the ulize every hour to your path to success.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That's why you said you wrote those wrote those three
- 11:24Speaker 1: stories overnight. See it wasn't about sleeping. You wasn't trapped
- 11:28Speaker 1: into your vision and you developed it and that was
- 11:31Speaker 1: the first step of you moving forward in your life.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It was it was and made me go because I
- 11:35Speaker 1: was spending up money. I used up all my um
- 11:38Speaker 1: my divorce money, my retirement. I was spending money doing
- 11:42Speaker 1: this because God said, Karen, um I said, don't you
- 11:45Speaker 1: think I need to go back to work? Because I
- 11:46Speaker 1: was laid off. I'm just gonna go at the work
- 11:47Speaker 1: and said, no, I need you to create because when
- 11:49Speaker 1: this hits, you're not gonna have time to create. And
- 11:52Speaker 1: that's the reason I have fifty two stories already done
- 11:55Speaker 1: and I'm still creating in my head, but mine that
- 11:57Speaker 1: stop caring. Let's market things, Let's get is out there.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Let's make some money on these. And so I have
- 12:02Speaker 1: the most wonderful investors. And it's just when you're in
- 12:05Speaker 1: that when you're in that role and you're in your vision,
- 12:08Speaker 1: you don't sleep, You really don't sleep, because it's always
- 12:11Speaker 1: what do I need to do to make this happen?
- 12:13Speaker 1: And things just happen. Now, let's talk when we talk
- 12:15Speaker 1: about more detail about the investments, because that was because
- 12:18Speaker 1: you sent me a LinkedIn message about the limit of
- 12:21Speaker 1: amount of African American women get into these conversations about
- 12:25Speaker 1: being able to get capital investors in their vision and
- 12:28Speaker 1: into their dreams. So right now, where is the state
- 12:31Speaker 1: of your your company? Right now? Right now, we're in
- 12:35Speaker 1: production for our first kids. We're in a a production for
- 12:38Speaker 1: our first kids, um and those will be delivered in
- 12:41Speaker 1: the end of August, and we'll be able to go
- 12:43Speaker 1: out and sell those I'm gonna become a door to
- 12:45Speaker 1: door salesman with a little Internet and I'm gonna sell
- 12:47Speaker 1: those kids. So we can just grow the company, grow
- 12:49Speaker 1: the revenue, so we can then go out and get
- 12:52Speaker 1: the app, make the app that we want to go.
- 12:53Speaker 1: So we want the teachers to do it in school
- 12:55Speaker 1: and want the parents to have an educational app at home.
- 12:57Speaker 1: We'll have the music and all that kind of stuff,
- 12:59Speaker 1: the all up, so we have to make children that
- 13:01Speaker 1: are emotionally stronger. Now, with that being said, Okay, we
- 13:07Speaker 1: did it. Does it type of does it? You know?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Mary kay? Does it? So your model is not a
- 13:13Speaker 1: bad model, not at all. No, you're not you know,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you know, you're not back there and it's done on
- 13:20Speaker 1: the regular basis. And so with that being said, that's
- 13:23Speaker 1: a pathway that you want to win with by controlling
- 13:25Speaker 1: your model. And also you're still at the forefront of
- 13:28Speaker 1: learning about how to sell your mark correct correct, and
- 13:31Speaker 1: and that it's interested you say that because I have
- 13:34Speaker 1: retired educators who I'm just asking, you know, do you
- 13:37Speaker 1: need something to do part time? And they said, well, yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 1: so if what about going out and becoming um feeling
- 13:42Speaker 1: friends distributors and they're they're saying, let's talk about it here,
- 13:44Speaker 1: let's talk about it because they know the product, they
- 13:46Speaker 1: understand the product, they believe in the product. So it
- 13:49Speaker 1: is an m WE model. It is the type of yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 1: we're there, Okay, we're not talking to people on the
- 13:56Speaker 1: then hyping and the great. We'll be right back with
- 14:00Speaker 1: more UH feeling friends, feeling friends and learning. But the
- 14:05Speaker 1: main thing here is that I want to thank you
- 14:07Speaker 1: for coming in studio, and we'll be back with more
- 14:09Speaker 1: to find out about the investment, part branding, part money,
- 14:12Speaker 1: main conversations. I'm back on the air. Feeling friends. She
- 14:17Speaker 1: got her a little animals out here. This is let's
- 14:20Speaker 1: explain to me exactly if you're if you're on a
- 14:24Speaker 1: UH Facebook page, you can see these lovely animals. Social
- 14:27Speaker 1: emotional learning, What exactly is that it's social emotional because
- 14:32Speaker 1: I've never heard that. Okay, is that is that the phrase?
- 14:36Speaker 1: You corn? Social emotional learning? What they're finding. Daniel Goldman
- 14:42Speaker 1: back in the nineties found that social emotional learning it's
- 14:45Speaker 1: how being able to identify, express, and manage my feelings.
- 14:50Speaker 1: And you've been able to identify, express, and manage your feelings,
- 14:53Speaker 1: me seeing how you feel, being able to identify how
- 14:56Speaker 1: you feeling, you being able to identify har Field so
- 14:59Speaker 1: we can live in the world. So we can live
- 15:00Speaker 1: in this world together. I'm just gonna talk to you. Everybody,
- 15:11Speaker 1: What can we do give? We just trapped the microphone
- 15:14Speaker 1: on our nose. Was trapping on our nose. We keep
- 15:18Speaker 1: it in front of the alls now, so explain to everybody,
- 15:22Speaker 1: because you're gonna like faded the way. Okay. Social emotion
- 15:25Speaker 1: learning is about how I feel able to identify, express,
- 15:28Speaker 1: and manage my feelings, and you being able to identify, express,
- 15:31Speaker 1: and manage your feelings. Because we live in this world together,
- 15:34Speaker 1: I should be with social warning. I should be able
- 15:36Speaker 1: to see how you feel and react to how you feel,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and you should be able to see how I feel
- 15:40Speaker 1: and be able to work to how I feel. We
- 15:42Speaker 1: should be kind, caring. It's those things that we were
- 15:46Speaker 1: taught at a verb very young age, be nice, all
- 15:49Speaker 1: that kind of stuff, But we left off that feeling
- 15:52Speaker 1: part and being able to identify how we feel. Because
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know as well as I know. All right, nobody
- 15:56Speaker 1: to let us told us we could express how we feel.
- 15:59Speaker 1: You better sit out and be quiet, and that's the
- 16:01Speaker 1: way it was. But now they're finding that social emotional
- 16:05Speaker 1: learning is and that's called EQ emotional intelligence. It is
- 16:08Speaker 1: just as important as i Q, because if you do
- 16:11Speaker 1: not know how to express how you feel and to
- 16:14Speaker 1: manage your feelings, it's very difficult to learn well for
- 16:17Speaker 1: very difficulks associates of the life, everyday life being polite, yes,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and things like that. Because of the fact that that's
- 16:24Speaker 1: why we're just talking about with with with social media,
- 16:27Speaker 1: with with your whole life tied to your phone, that uh,
- 16:31Speaker 1: that you can really just stay in your room and
- 16:33Speaker 1: be captivated by what's in your hands and not be
- 16:36Speaker 1: able to communicate and not be able to community. And
- 16:38Speaker 1: we still have to communicate. We were just in Starbucks downstairs,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and so my partners were there and they were having
- 16:43Speaker 1: difficult to communicating to the star warts barista what they
- 16:46Speaker 1: wanted and they were getting frustrated. Behind account, I'm watching
- 16:50Speaker 1: all this, they were getting frustrated, and um my folks
- 16:53Speaker 1: were getting frustrated. But they knew to manage their emotions
- 16:57Speaker 1: and they just stepped up and manage there, so not
- 16:59Speaker 1: to straight. So no one just had a fit and
- 17:01Speaker 1: Starbucks got no problems. They don't need going out with
- 17:08Speaker 1: the feeling The Starbucks should have called the feeling friends
- 17:13Speaker 1: and all that mess was going on, we could come
- 17:15Speaker 1: in and take some lessons from the feeling friends, my
- 17:21Speaker 1: feeling friends. Love is joyful, Love is peaceful, Love is
- 17:25Speaker 1: love makes you laugh. Love makes me laugh and love
- 17:28Speaker 1: makes me smile. Love makes me sing and dance for
- 17:31Speaker 1: a while. Love brings me peace down in my soul.
- 17:35Speaker 1: True love really makes me whole. This is a lot
- 17:39Speaker 1: of love, and she's the foundation of feeling friends. We
- 17:41Speaker 1: teach that love is the most important feeling. Now, if
- 17:44Speaker 1: folks in their jobs realized that love was the most
- 17:47Speaker 1: important feelings and could make their way back to love,
- 17:49Speaker 1: we wouldn't have all these problems that we have today.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You know, I'm a big musical fan. Yeah, I felt
- 17:55Speaker 1: I was watching the Oklahoma work Listen. I'm serious of
- 17:59Speaker 1: love makes smith, Love makes me happy. You know I've
- 18:03Speaker 1: got noway are your Broadway connections. We got the feeling
- 18:10Speaker 1: riche See how as you drop a spoonful of sugar
- 18:18Speaker 1: helps the medicine go down. Yeah, we can do it.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I can do that. Children, That's that's so natural. That's
- 18:25Speaker 1: very see I'm I'm a child of the sixties, and
- 18:29Speaker 1: so musicals like that, Robert Preston and all those guys Ilama,
- 18:38Speaker 1: you know, I grew up with that. So so with
- 18:40Speaker 1: that being said, how does okay, you say you put
- 18:43Speaker 1: together these kids? Tell us what exactly is contained in
- 18:47Speaker 1: that kid? Okay, it's it's the most magical kid. Once again,
- 18:51Speaker 1: it is the teacher's god, because teachers have to know
- 18:53Speaker 1: how to use it. Is these twelve puppets like this,
- 18:56Speaker 1: this is a lot of love. And this is Billy
- 18:58Speaker 1: the bullygoat right, really yellow young, he's a bully. But
- 19:03Speaker 1: in the story, Bully Billy comes to redemption because he
- 19:06Speaker 1: realizes that a lot of love is around, and she
- 19:08Speaker 1: takes him around. She's she's not gonna change, and so
- 19:11Speaker 1: Billy a lot of takes Billy around the island and
- 19:14Speaker 1: all the feeling friends tell Billy Bully how they feel
- 19:17Speaker 1: when he bullies them, and Billy comes to redemption. He says,
- 19:20Speaker 1: I can't do this anymore. Life was that easy. I
- 19:23Speaker 1: can't do that anymore. But for us, no child wants
- 19:27Speaker 1: to be bully. Bully. No child And so we were
- 19:29Speaker 1: very early age. Yes, the whole principle of being a bully.
- 19:33Speaker 1: You're trying to wash it away, wash it away, correct,
- 19:36Speaker 1: and so with that, and we are washing away because
- 19:38Speaker 1: nobody wants to be billy bully. We have a character
- 19:40Speaker 1: I don't have her today, but she is Winnifred the
- 19:44Speaker 1: worthy wall was renting for no walls. Isn't that beautiful?
- 19:47Speaker 1: And um, Winnifred, isn't that beautiful? But her parents teacher,
- 19:50Speaker 1: that is the l o V that lives inside of her.
- 19:53Speaker 1: And Winifred was really burtht out of me when Whitney
- 19:55Speaker 1: Houston died and I heard um Kevin Costner say, Whitney
- 19:59Speaker 1: used to ask am I beautiful? And I smart? You
- 20:01Speaker 1: know those kind of things that she didn't even have
- 20:03Speaker 1: that self worthiness. So Winifred was worth out of then
- 20:06Speaker 1: she says, the l V that lives inside of me
- 20:08Speaker 1: makes me worthy. We have so many children and adults
- 20:13Speaker 1: not feeling their worth. And when you walk around feeling unworthy,
- 20:16Speaker 1: you do not become the person that you're destined to be.
- 20:19Speaker 1: And so once we build up your own worthiness and
- 20:22Speaker 1: your self esteem, you can go out there and do
- 20:24Speaker 1: what you need to do, become the person that you
- 20:26Speaker 1: need to be. And fulfill your real life's purpose. So
- 20:28Speaker 1: how does one get in touch with you? They can
- 20:30Speaker 1: because you motivate me. And I'll just tell you something.
- 20:32Speaker 1: You got something, your magical, your personality is perfect for
- 20:36Speaker 1: the passion that you're trying to get to everybody. And
- 20:39Speaker 1: I love the fact that it's starting with the youth.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I would say, uh, catch up early and hopefully they
- 20:45Speaker 1: get it right, you know, because what you get in
- 20:47Speaker 1: a child's brain at that early nurturing that can care
- 20:52Speaker 1: to a better human being when you become an adult.
- 20:55Speaker 1: So how do we get in touch with you? Well,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you can reach me caring at the Feeling Friends dot com.

- 21:27Speaker 1: was able to get an inventor product. Oh, it's about
- 21:31Speaker 1: the ecosystem in Weston Salem. You have to develop relationships
- 21:34Speaker 1: with people. Relationship. So I started off at the Small
- 21:36Speaker 1: Business Center and oncest in Salem, and then I UM
- 21:39Speaker 1: came in second place, and another UM project and wants
- 21:42Speaker 1: the same creative startups because we do this creative business.
- 21:45Speaker 1: And then I went out and I met this woman
- 21:46Speaker 1: named Karen barn from Venture Cafe, and I told Karen
- 21:49Speaker 1: what my needs were, and Karen introduced me to Steve Leinberger.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Winston starts with an ecosystem there and one of our
- 21:57Speaker 1: citizens wants to Salem down Flow bought off if sixteen
- 22:00Speaker 1: story building and he developed he gave to what thirty
- 22:04Speaker 1: four thousand square feet to entrepreneurs and so they started
- 22:07Speaker 1: program not gotten that program. And from there, Karen Barnes
- 22:10Speaker 1: also introduced me to my mentors and my investors. Your
- 22:13Speaker 1: relationship relationship building getting bigger and bigger and bigger, and
- 22:17Speaker 1: you build those relationships and build solid relationships. And my
- 22:20Speaker 1: three investors UM they have their own company once Logic,
- 22:24Speaker 1: and they saw and believed in what I was doing.
- 22:26Speaker 1: They saw him believed and it was hard to get
- 22:28Speaker 1: investors because as we were talking about, um, two of
- 22:32Speaker 1: one percent of African and marrying female ever get venture
- 22:35Speaker 1: capital and the average raises thirty six thousand dollars. And
- 22:38Speaker 1: they felt that was horrible, and so they said, we're
- 22:40Speaker 1: going to give you a chance. We believe in you,
- 22:42Speaker 1: and they are amazing men. You did you start singing
- 22:47Speaker 1: how I did? And I started crying to that. Let's
- 22:50Speaker 1: get it right. It's been a long journey. Singing got me.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I got ready to check live. You're changing lives. I
- 23:02Speaker 1: love about this project, and I know there's two things
- 23:05Speaker 1: about me. You know me. I need to stay in
- 23:07Speaker 1: touch with you when you when you go door to door.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Let's get those banners together. Let's get that branding together
- 23:13Speaker 1: so we can go out as a unit. Okay, it
- 23:15Speaker 1: that's important because people, because it's about relationships, and we've
- 23:18Speaker 1: had a relationship there. That's why I'm so exciting to
